I originally wasn't planning on posting this, but my current drawing project takes way too long, so here it is!
Sans, or Pit as I named him, is from an AU I am currently brainstorming about. I was about to name it Masktale but it's already taken, I guess?
Anyway, it's inspired by a part of the plot from the Anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the story of Fontaine from the game Genshin Impact. So, yeah, the world/underground is not what it seems in this one. Nothing is, actually.
For a better understanding, Pit in this drawing is the same person... but also not. No, no one's soul got glitter glued together, there is also no Chara in control, it's just Pit/Sans... whatever remained of him at least.
When the child steps into his world everything seems to be normal, like the brighter side of this drawing, but there will always be a second side. Only one can be the truth. Right?
Kinda hard to explain this AU without spoiling the whole plot right at the start. It's in the very early stage of development anyway.
So, yeah, that's it for now.
Stay safe guys!

Ok I'm actually going to blow a fuse over just how BADLY Dark Pit gets mischaracterized within fandom works (specifically in relation to Smash Bros)
Like I get from a basic look at his character design and name, obviously you're going to think he's an evil version/an opposite of Pit (think Dark Samus or Dark Sonic for example) but I think even the Kid Icarus fandom tends to forget how his whole existence and by extension his personality works.
Dark Pit came from the Mirror of Truth, which doesn't create an opposite version of the person who goes through it, but it reflects their true feelings and emotions (it's called the Mirror of Truth, what do you think it's going to reflect)
Dark Pit is the personification of Pit's repressed emotions, so whatever Pit feels deep down, is what Dark Pit puts on display, so the opposite could also be said, that the way Pit acts is how Dark Pit truly feels (they're opposites in that regard)
Dark Pit isn't some villainous asshole, because that would mean Pit is too. And Pit isn't some completely innocent little cinnamon roll, because that would mean Dark Pit is too. They are more similar than they and a lot of other people would like to admit. They are two sides of the same coin.
But I feel like this mischaracterization mostly comes from the Smash Bros community, which in all fairness to them, simply don't know Kid Icarus' lore. Which I'd totally understand if Nintendo wasn't feeding them this 'Dark Pit is a villain' propaganda (I use the term propaganda very loosely, can you tell I'm angered?)
Because if my memory serves me correctly, there have been multiple times where there will be those 'heroes vs villains' online Smash tournaments, and Pit and Dark Pit are always put as the 'hero vs villain.' And yes, I know that Dark Pit is an anti-hero in Uprising, but there is a clear difference between an anti-hero and villain (anti-hero -> good thing, bad reason ; villain -> bad thing, bad reason)
Not to mention that Uprising is about seven hours long, and Dark Pit is only in it for about three hours total, which honestly is not a lot of screentime for him. But in those three-ish hours, he has done more heroic things than any of the other villains/anti-heroes in Smash and I'd argue some of the heroes too have ever done. His good deeds outweigh his bad ones (he swallows his own pride to help Pit save Palutena, he puts his differences with Palutena aside to work together to save Pit's life by going to the Rewind Swing, he saves Pit from Hades' stomach, he once again puts his differences aside with Palutena to join Pit after Hades' defeat since she's the one who grants him the Power of Flight. And I would also like to mention that he did not instigate the fight throughout Chapter 6, Palutena and Pit started that)
Dark Pit acts the way he does because that's what people expect of him. They see him as a lesser version of Pit, so he's a kid who's gonna try and prove them wrong. He only picks fights with Pit because the first thing Palutena (who Pit openly loves and admires, which means Dark Pit deep down also still loves and admires her) says about him is that "he's fundamentally wicked and destructive and needs to be eliminated." Can you imagine the person you love, look up to and trust with your life say that about you? Sure, it might be another version of you, but it's still you. That's one reason why Dark Pit doesn't like Palutena (but that is a rant for another day where we bring the Pittoo nickname into play)
But I get it. It's easier to paint Dark Pit as a jerk and asshole character than exploring a complicated character with complex emotions and feelings that everyone disregards because it's just a bit too similar to how real people are in real life.
It's easier to say he's an edgy clone.
#im sorry for going on a rant but i am truly angered lmao#who knew reading fanfiction from ten years ago would make me so pissed#kid icarus#kid icarus uprising#dark pit#pittoo#rant post

This song just fits this.
My goodness, they're simpler in design.
Good!
.....And so the rambling begins.
Which I would consider this a oc rambling, I don't know what these dudes are anymore. Except for Myst. But fun.
Though I already explained stuff here.
(If ya wanna read or re-read.)
The wall of words underneath.
⬇️
💛
Soooo.
Illy (she/her)
~~~~~~~~~~~~
First one up. Not much has changed honestly. Still trying to have some calculated way of thinking about things, either logically or critically. It's a struggle for her.
But likes using whatever knowledge she has to idk, rant? Spout random facts?
She's just minding her own business unless it IS her business. (Or nosy).
She has glasses now. Yay! Great! She can read without straining her eyes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
💛

💜
Waxing (he/they)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I kinda stole the name Waxing from an old oc of mine, sooo that's his name now. Old oc has no name now. :]
A new thing (other than the headphones) is that the center of his hoodie can basically become or resemble a pit.
Because that's how any strong emotion feels. Usually negative ones. He hates it, Illy tries to make Wax calm down with reasons he shouldn't be anxious, but falls out the window.
It only works if he's not too worked up. Man's eyesight is....ok. Not the best, because unlike his other part, he has to squint at most things. Like words on signs and stuff. Why doesn't he just copy his other half? Idk. He's stubborn. And character design reasons.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
💜

❤️
Seeds (She/he/they)
Myst (she/her)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Imma just put Seeds and Myst together here.
Because they're basically one in the same. Yes, Seeds' jacket has stuff on it, I probably will draw something with more stuff on the jacket. (Because I didn't know what else to think of.)
The one side of his face is more expressive than the other. Mostly because each one of these guys looks upset every waking moment.
(They're not, they just look like that.)
But I guess it's to show being more comfortable in being expressive and just not feeling comfortable and trying to... understand the room. Confusion.
Is their goal the same as the album? No. They're all technically "whole", but don't understand anything about this life stuff. It's weird, tricky, and overall odd.
Living in a nice relaxing Void™ is all they know. But taking a step into unknown territory is the what they want, an adventure.
(Depending on whatever adventure really means to them. Or me.) Breaking out of this weird shaped shell. Because the world is scary.
Too much scary stuff that makes Wax retreat to his safe space, and essentially brings his other counterparts with him.
Myst doesn't like this because she knows that this isn't ok. But the others, especially Seeds and Wax just... don't do anything.
But, she and Illy continue to try and strive for new things. Even when the other two challenge them.
She's more honest and blunt about everything. Even when she's trying not to be. Her cold face, her voice. Always been how she's characterized in my head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ok, I think I've ramble enough again.
I really need to update tags on certain stuff.
But hope you enjoyed this... random redesign/ LORE (not really lore.). :3

New Dragons Rising Article!
(EDIT: I blurred out the episode title last minute. I was feeling paranoid about it. Lol. And I made some last minute grammer fixes. Enjoy!)
The episode titles and descriptions for Season 2 Part 2 just dropped today! There's TONS of new info and lore to unpack. So let's get started! *SPOILERS BELOW THE THE CUT!*
1: So first off we have The Shape of Motion. (This title is clearly parodying The Shape of Water. Lol.) It seems they will be picking up a new baby dragon! Riyu is gonna be a big brother! How cute!💖 I hope Arin finds his parents too. Poor guy.😔
2: Now we have Enter the City of Temples. The Ninja must have found out about the tournament and decided to go there. But why? We're not sure yet. I would think they would want to stay away from the tournament, considering what happened in the last one.😅 Also, Kai and Bonzle are attempting to escape. So that's cool! You guys will get to see them too!
3: Next is Gathering for The Feast. Some how I get an ominous feeling about that title for some reason. Lol. Also, looks like the Ninja's earned their invites somehow and are now in the tournament! And it looks this is the episode where we'll see the return of some old Elemental Masters!
4: Now we have Inside the Maze. This episode is VERY interesting. So much to unpack! Because it's the first mention of some new artifacts. The Horns. Specifically, The Dragon Horns. Arin and the others must have heard about them in the last episode. What are these horns exactly? Are they like instrument type horns? Or literal dragon horns? We'll have to wait and see. We also have a new character called Frak! And finally, something ALL you Jaya shippers have been waiting for...
JAYA TOURNAMENT BATTLE WITH AMNESIA JAY!!!⚡🌊⚡🌊⚡🌊⚡🌊⚡🌊⚡🌊
This is gonna break y'all hearts, I know it.🤣
5: Next is United We Fall. Oh boy! It's named after one of my favorite TSFH songs! Haha! Just kidding! Anyways, poor Wyldefyre is pitted against CINDER?!?! The guy who broke her leg?! Yikes! Looks like it didn't go well either. And the Ninja will have to win they way back into the tournament through a race!
6: Now we have Truth and Lies. Finally a Wu mention! But it doesn't look good. I have a feeling Ras is lying though. Or not. And we'll get some racing action from the rest of the ninjas!
7: Next is The Shattering Sword. Sounds like something from Lloyd's vision, huh? And we get to see the new character Roby giving Arin a museum tour and some new info on the source dragons! (It would be hilarious if Roby was working for Ras the entire time.😂) And here's how to pronounce Roby's name, if you're curious.
8: Next is Clues and Suspects! Tons of cool stuff in this episode! Roby has a way bigger role then I thought! There's a new character mentioned named Bleckt? (I wonder if that's a typo?) Also, FINALLY A ZEATRIX MENTION! And they're transferring her powers for some reason? The how and why are unclear. Also, this new character Bleckt is somehow connected to Arin's investigation. And possibly part of The Administration, since they mention he has an office. My guess is that these Dragon Horn thingies were confiscated by the Administration or something.
9: And here we have The Final Game. That doesn't sound good. Arin learns a "Devastating Secret about the Merge" Uh oh. Cole stays behind to protect the Dragon horns! What??? Oh no! Sora faces off against Nokt and Wyldefyre is too late to stop the "Manipulation of the Games!" OH NO. Yeah, this one is gonna be pretty chaotic. Yikes.
10: Finally, we have Elements of Betrayal. THAT'S AN EVEN WORSE TITLE! It's making me more nervous than the last one!
There's a new location called The Monastery of Gates. That I guess these Dragon Horns are at? Arin, Zane, and Cole seems like a fun combination. Should be a cool fight! And it looks like the elemental masters have lost their powers once again are going to be fighting Ras and his wolf warrior army. NoBoDy SaW tHaT cOmInG. Pfft.
Aaaaaaand, that's it for now. Wow! So much stuff! Sounds like it will be a very exciting collection of episodes! Hope you had fun reading this!
Bye for now!

✨ pairings: Eris x reader
🔮 preview: “(Y/N)…” your name on his dry lips was hoarse, the sound a scratchy noise in your ears and all you could do was whimper, trying to scramble away from the re-dead animation of him. “All I wanted was to be in love… I didn't want to die. What was wrong to fall in love with the same woman as him? Was it so wrong to fall in love with the Lady of Autumn?” A sob escaped your lips, tears streaking down your cheeks, “I’m sorry, Felian…” you whispered, shrinking away from him, frantically tugging at your leg to try to run away. You watched those eyes — those lifeless eyes — stare up at you, begging you to stay with him, to let him drag you down with him to the fire pits of Hell.
📣 trigger warnings: nightmares, mentions of blood, death 🔎 rating: PG-13 | 🔏 word count: 3.6k
💜 masterlist | series masterlist + notes: This part has been way overdue, and I am so sorry for that. Writing recently has been way too finicky for me but I’m slowly churning out fics, please look out for them. This part is a bit of (Y/N)’s history, on her reason to take Beron down, to make Eris High Lord. It’s kind of a filler episode, I guess? But still an important episode. In addition, this has a bit of a spoiler for ACOSF and a bit of non-canon stuff as well. The lore of how the Forest House came to be and where the castle was situated reminded me of Rivendell from LOTR. I hope you guys enjoy it! Like, comment, and reblog if you enjoy it! I would love to hear your thoughts!
Your pulse drummed in your ears, eyes trained on the blood that surrounded you — maroon pooled around your feet, like the Nile River that seemed to be overflowing. The stench of metal hit your senses, and you couldn't help but scrunch your nose at the smell, one so strong that the contents in your stomach churned like raging waters in the stormy sea. You fought the urge to vomit as your eyes trailed that river of blood — homing in on a lifeless body only a few feet up ahead.
The mass of hair, one similar to your hair color, was the source of the blood — the body lying on its stomach, a sword impaled in the middle of its back.
With shaky legs, you stepped forward, feeling and hearing the squish of maroon liquid underneath your bare feet. Your breath quickened as you leaned down, and with much effort turned the body around, a cry of horror unknowingly left your lips.
There, laid, your older brother — dead.
“Feilan…” you whimpered, a hand coming up to press against your mouth, holding back another scream at your brother’s lifeless form, taking a step back, your body wanting just to run away from such a horrifying scene.
But your body felt stuck as if your feet were glued to the ground below you and you glanced down, watching bloodied hands reach up from the pool of blood and grasp your calves and shins, leaving bloodied prints along your skin.
A terrified scream left your lungs, trying to reach down to swat those hands away from your legs, trying to desperately move your extremities from the tendrils of death. But when a lifeless hand reached over and grabbed your ankle, you let out a startled yell and fell backward, landing on your bottom.
You grunted, surprised that no pain racked your body at the fall, but when a squeeze of your ankle pulled you from your thoughts, eyes blinked open and trailed those ashen fingers to the revived hues of your older brother.
“(Y/N)…” your name on his dry lips was hoarse, the sound a scratchy noise in your ears and all you could do was whimper, trying to scramble away from the re-dead animation of him.
“All I wanted was to be in love… I didn't want to die. What was wrong to fall in love with the same woman as him? Was it so wrong to fall in love with the Lady of Autumn?”
A sob escaped your lips, tears streaking down your cheeks, “I’m sorry, Felian…” you whispered, shrinking away from him, frantically tugging at your leg to try to run away. You watched those eyes — those lifeless eyes — stare up at you, begging you to stay with him, to let him drag you down with him to the fire pits of Hell.
You wanted to, you had tried to save him, wanted to save your only family member. You were nothing but a child. You had no power in Autumn Court, no leverage of power to sway thoughts… you had little influence over the Autumn Court Family— there was no way for you to save your brother against the jealous rage of Beron Vanserra.
The grip on your ankle grew tighter, drawing your attention back to him and you watched in horror his features melt away — skin and muscle rotting away in blood, revealing the very male that had taken his life away. Lips tugged into a grin as the form of Beron Vanserra started to grab at your calves and thighs, pinning you underneath him. A scream pulled from your lips, as hands gripped the base of your neck, squeezing the air out of your lungs.
Frantic hands grasped Beron’s wrist, trying to use your strength to pull him off of your form — but it was to little use — he was stronger, more powerful than you and your femme stature was no match for the strength of a High Lord.
“—-S-stop…” you gasped out, feeling your body give out underneath his own, “Please…” you all but begged the High Lord.
The inhumane form of Beron grinned and leaned down, his face hovering over your own as you watched for the second time as those regal features shifted to someone you had grown fond of — Eris.
“(Y/N)…” he whispered your name, one filled with malice and hatred in every syllable.
Tears brimmed the edge of your eyes, as you felt your life slowly trickle away from you. Spots started appearing at the corner of your eyes, the grip on your throat growing tighter every second. You watched as his lips mouthed your name, your body feeling airless as you fell unconscious.
“(Y/N)!!!” You were pulled out of the hellish nightmare by strong and reliable hands, your eyes snapping open, your body lurching forward into a sitting position as hands came up to your neck, trying to feel for hands that were taking your life. Your chest heaved, trying to get the air that was sucked out of you… trying to gain your mind back from your dream.
“…(Y/N)…”
The sound of your name, one that was filled with love and care, pulled you from your racing thoughts, your body jumping slightly in the large bed and head whipping towards your left — Eris looking at you with worry, his hand raised in the air, his touch lingering on your shoulder.
Your body wanted to run — those hands were just on your neck, taking an attempt at your life — those hands wanted nothing more but to hurt you. But your mind screamed at you — this wasn’t the Eris that was in your dream, this wasn't the Eris that was trying to take your life.
This was your husband.
The one who knew your secrets, the one who knew your weaknesses. The one who plays your political games in Autumn Court. The one who protected you for millennials.
Your husband who would never lay a hand against you.
When the fight and flight eventually left your body, a shaky sigh escaped your lips — a signal that you were calming down from your dream. It was the only thing that Eris needed to see before he pulled you close, shifting your body to lie sideways on his lap, his arms wrapped around your waist and tucked into his chest, his chin on the crown of your head.
He didn’t say anything — he didn’t have to.
For centuries, your sleep had been plagued with nightmares of one particular day — the death of your older brother, at the hands of Eris’s father. You had watched him die in front of you, watched his life leave his eyes. And as a child of merely two centuries, you couldn’t do anything to save him.
You had despised your brother, no matter how much you missed him — hated that he had fallen in love with Gwinthedwe, Lady Autumn. You had watched him from afar as he courted her, watching her slowly fall in love with him — despite being married to Beron.
No matter how many times your mother had pleaded against continuing to court Gwinthedwe, he wouldn’t listen — begged that she had been the one for him. He planned to elope to another Court, to bring her with him — to save her from the claws of the High Lord.
That night… when the two lovers had planned to leave, Beron had found them and slayed Felian, in front of Gwinthedwe — and unknowing to them, in front of you, as well. You had followed them in shadow, using your power of illusion to cloak yourself in darkness, you watched from behind the pillar as the sword pierced through his chest, the terrified scream from Gwinthedwe echoing the halls.
But to you, all you could stare at in horror was your brother’s dying form and his gaze never left Gwinthedwe’s as the guards dragged her to the shared bedroom of Beron.
All you had wanted to do was scream at the High Lord for killing your brother, scream on the hatred that grew in your stomach for your older brother — but had been too terrified to do so, too afraid to be caught and be at the end of Beron’s sword.
It was Eris who had pulled you away from such a gruesome scene, saved you, and protected you from his father, though he was only a few centuries older than you.
It was right then and then, that you knew what you had to do — to take revenge for your older brother — and to ensure that Beron’s wrath would be ultimately stopped.
You and Eris had played the long game — a millennial long game. You had played the lovely marriage candidate for Eris, softened the heart of Beron, who had long forgotten that your brother had died by his hand and learned the political ways of the Court — all the while being by Eris’s side.
You had played the beautiful wife, the doting wife… the wallflower that only spoke when spoken to.
Unknowing to all that you were nothing but a vicious butterfly waiting to bite on her prey.
“…—-(Y/N)… (Y/N)…!”
A light shake pulled you out of your thoughts, the growing panic in Eris’s voice evident as he called your name again. You hummed, letting your husband know that he had gotten your attention, pulling you away from the past.
“…Sorry…” you apologized, a word that rarely slipped your lips, “I got drawn to the past…” eyes lifted and looked up at Eris, whose features softened at your words.
“How bad was it this time?”
Eris had been your only confidant about these nightmares. He always had asked about it since the first night you had one, millennials ago at the start of your friendship and into your married life.
And he will only be the only one who will ever know your weakness.
A light simper tugged at your lips as you rested your head against his shoulder, “Beron tried to choke me… and then he turned into you… and then you tried to kill me…”
Your words were light — as if it was a normal conversation.
But it wasn’t.
No matter how much you tried to deny it, your figure shook, still traumatized by the dream — by the reality — that still haunted you. The dream took you into the depths of your fears, where you lost your brother, and where you lost your life — whether it be by Beron’s hands… or by Eris’s.
The idea of death scares you, that you were nothing but a shaking leaf in Eris’s lap, paralyzed by the very thought.
You didn’t want to lose your life… not yet.
Not when your revenge against your brother was unfulfilled.
And you would not lose your life before you fulfilled your promise with Eris.
To put him on the Autumn Court throne.
You felt your hands shake in your lap, you glanced down at them with a frown. You hated when your body became vulnerable like this, showing every emotion that you attempted stomped down in your chest. You practiced for millennials to keep your body and emotions in check — to ensure no one knew of your vulnerabilities.
But moments like these, in the dead of the night, where they ran rabid through your body — it was hard to control them.
A large hand grasped your own, pulling you away from your mind once again, seeing Eris’s hand grasp both of yours gently, forcing you to look up at him. His eyes showed with worry, but with a hint of resolution, he brought your hand to his lips and kissed it, letting his lips linger on your skin as he spoke.
“You know I would never lay a finger on you, right?” he asked, truth dripping with every letter.
You nodded your head, and Eris sighed and pressed another kiss on your palm.
He knew your dream was unusual — your dreams usually consist of your dead brother and his father — that nightmarish day still haunting you after so many millennials. However, the fact that he appeared in your dreams with the intent of hurting you, made him worry.
Eris shifted you in his arms, moving you so that you were straddling his thighs, your arms placed around his shoulders while he grasped your waist. Amber hues looked up at you, assessing your features for a moment, “I will never hurt you, nor try to kill you. That would break my promise, wouldn’t it?” he said with a light simper of a smile, softening his features.
You chuckled and nodded, your fingers playing with his auburn hair, the long locks out of its usual ponytail and free flowing over his back, “I know… I just, don’t know why you appeared in my dreams either. I just… think that I fear one day…” Your eyes averted his own, staring at the wall behind him, “I fear one day you will not need me anymore and will dispose of me…”
You felt Eris stiffen underneath you and those hands that were on your waist, slid up your back and grasped the back of your neck, gently forcing your gaze to return to his own.
“I will always need you, (Y/N). You are my wife. After millennials with me, of being at my side, can you not see I need you? As my wife, as my partner-in-crime… You are what I need right now. I will never leave you, I will never dispose of you. Do you understand that?”
His tone was so determined, so strong… yet all so soft that you felt your heart — one that you were sure stopped beating all those years ago — thump in your ribcage. Eris always seemed to see you in such a good light, one that was not tainted in blood nor poison.
You had done horrible things — killed people with your magic, manipulated people to your liking. You did everything in your power to turn the tides to your liking, to ensure that once it was time, Eris, with your help, would be sitting on that throne. That he would have little bloodshed on his hands, and you would be the one bearing all the weight of all the people you’ve killed.
And yet, here was he… your husband, showing you that you were still needed, you were still wanted. That he needed you after all of this, even if he sat on that throne, ruling over Autumn Court:
He would still need you.
A soft sigh escaped your lips and nodded your head, silently answering his question.
Eris let out a disappointing click of his tongue, fingers grasping your chin, “Words, my butterfly. I need your words.”
You chuckled softly, bringing yourself close to him, letting your breath fan over his features, “I understand that you will not abandon me, that you will need me long after you sit on that throne...”
Eris let out a pleased sound, leaning up to kiss your jawline before he maneuvered the both of you back into bed, an amused chuckle escaping your lips.
“You look gorgeous as ever, sister-in-law…”
You paused mid-step, a well-practiced smile tugging on your lips, turning on your heels to greet Rian — the third Vanserra son. You gave an elegant bow, before feeling a finger against your chin, forcing you to look up at him, that arrogant smirk on his features.
“In my eyes, you’re more gorgeous like this… below me…”
Oh the conceit that radiated off him made your lips twitch with annoyance, and your head pound.
Were all the Vanesrra blood like this?
You stood up, forcing his hand off you, tilting your head and feigning innocence, “Unfortunately, Rian…” His eye twitched at the lack of title before his name, “Much to your dislike, I am the wife of your eldest brother… And I’m quite sure he would not be pleased with your words towards me…”
Rian stiffened at such threatening words. Like the other Vanserra brothers, he knew you were off-limits. Eris had made that quite clear when he had married you all those millennials ago — even had decided to kill someone on the spot for attempting to seduce you in front of him.
That show of power and dominance for the Autumn Court Heir had made the brothers wary of you, but being the innocent wallflower you portrayed caused the brothers to seek you out more often than both of you wanted. The brothers vied for your attention, often seeking you out in their free time. They believed that if they had you by their side, they would become the Autumn Heir, pushing their eldest brother out of contestant. You played them, and used that to your advantage — you used them to gather information about the Court, confidential information only the Royal blood would know; using their infatuation to pit them against each other.
The brothers played right into your hands.
“(Y/N)…”
You watched as Rian’s form stiffened, eyes averting from yours to look behind you. He bowed his head and stepped aside, eyes glancing at you for a split moment before he turned his heels and walked down the hall into the throne room.
You knew that voice anywhere — the voice that still echoed in your head, one that still accompanied your nightmares.
Turning on your heels, you gave another deep bow, “Lady Autumn…” you greeted her, straightening from your curtsy to look at the female.
She was still as you remembered, that nightmarish day — beautiful and immortally young. Gwinthedwe hadn’t changed since that day and you couldn’t help but wonder if your brother was still alive, would he have aged as well?
You felt an arm on your shoulder and you snapped out of your thoughts, looking up at the female as she gave you a soft smile — but you could see, underneath that smile was pity. You know that she still looked at you as that child, the child that lost her older brother.
You wanted to blame her — your whole being wanted nothing but to blame her, but you knew you shouldn’t.
She was Eris’s mother, the only person Eris cherished besides yourself.
But she was also the main reason your brother died — their romance was why Felian had to be at the end of Beron’s sword. You knew she regretted it, you saw it every time she looked at you.
And all you could muster up every time was a stiff smile.
“…Was Rian bothering you, (Y/N)?” she asked in a motherly tone, light and airy, soft and gentle.
It made your heart pang.
You shook your head, gently sliding out of her hold, “No more than usual, Lady Autumn…” you answered, eyes averting away from hers, towards the large double doors.
There, you noticed Eris standing near them, awaiting the two of you to enter the throne room.
It seemed that Beron had called the entire family — he had an announcement to make.
Glancing back at the Lady of Autumn, she gazed at you with a light twinkle in her eye, one that came and gone before she stepped ahead of you, greeting her eldest son with a kiss on his forehead before she entered the room.
Eris looked back at you before silently offering his arm.
With your head held up high, ensuring your mind was wrapped in fire and protected by your hounds, you stepped up to your husband’s side, slipping your hand into the crook of his arm. His hand slid into yours, squeezing it as he signaled the guards to open the grand doors.
The groan of ancient wooden doors opened, and you couldn’t help but bring yourself closer to your husband as you stepped through the archway and into the throne room, where the Court turned their heads.
Scrutinizing gazes fell onto you, but you kept your head high, walking gracefully to the dias, and gave the Autumn High Lord and Lady of Autumn a curtsy, all the while Eris gave a bow at his waist.
“Ah, Eris… my son…” Beron’s voice was full of pride at the sight of his eldest son, “And (Y/N)… It seems the whole family has finally arrived. Sit, we have much to discuss…”
You straightened and allowed Eris to lead you to the long table that was situated in the middle of the throne room — an oak table that was carved eons ago from a large oak tree that grew right where the Forest House now stood.
It was said that the first Autumn High Lord searched high and low for the perfect place to build his Court. And when he found the tree — one that had little leaves compared to the foliage that surrounded it — that was near the top of a jagged cliffside, he declared this was where his castle should stand. He built the large castle, allowing the rivers to flow from the top of the mountain to the caverns below, creating intricate pathways and bridges that would confuse trespassers. Only those who have lived in the Forest House and be told its secrets would know the correct path. He built a multitude of rooms to house family and guests, and where that singular oak tree stood, he placed his throne.
With skillful hands, he used the wood of that oak tree to carve this table, the official insignia of the Court — the large oak tree — was carved onto the top. Millennials passed and all the Autumn High Lords added their signature to the Forest House, but this singular table — where the rulings and laws of Autumn Court were created, had never been altered or changed.
You sat in your usual spot, next to Eris, near the head of the table, across from Gwinthedwe. Your eyes focused on the High Lord as he sat at the head of the table, the Autumn Crown made of golden twigs and leaves glimmering on top of his head. Once he had settled in his chair, a pleased smirk tugged on his lips.
“I have found her… I have found Briallyn…”

Olaf's Last Name
Look, I know he'll never have a canon last name and we've already gone through the "Labinski" fiasco.
I wanna go through several options I've been considering for headcanons and why each would possibly work (or not). Hell, Labinski can even stay because someone else has already mapped that out (Though I'm gonna be annoying and tell you why I personally disagree. If you like it, keep it. All power to ya).
Actually, you know what? Labinski is going first! Why? Because it actually kinda helps my case for the other options. Onwards!
Olaf Labinski (Credit to @snicketsleuth)
Pros:
As Sleuth pointed out, Olaf's first name and title appears to be in reference to the character of the same name in Theophile Gautier’s novel Avatar. So, hypothetically, it makes sense to give our Count Olaf the same last name.
Cons:
However, here's my personal issue. Doing that A. Feels a little like plagiarism and B. Doesn't fit Handler's literary reference naming convention because of point A.
Whenever a character has a literary reference name, it is never a direct one. Esme, for example, is named after a poem. "To Esme with Love and Squalor" and Jerome is named after the poet who wrote it (That's the J in J.D. Salinger). Note his name is not directly Jerome Salinger.
Mr. Poe's obviously an Edgar Allen Poe reference. But his name is Arthur. His sons hold the more direct reference names.
Uncle Monty's a Monty Python joke.
Hell, this is actually why I know for a fact that Charles' last name is not Baudelaire. Our leads are names after Sir Charles Baudelaire, yes. But it's no coincidence that the Baudelaire children are temporarily in the custody of two men who go by Sir and Charles.
The only exception to this I can think of is Georgina Orwell just being the feminization of George Orwell because it's a tongue in cheek about the hypnotism thing. But even then, it's still not one-for-one.
So, him being straight up named Count Olaf Labinski when that name already belongs to someone else's character doesn't fit to me. However...
Let's get into some other options
Olaf Gautier
So apparently some of the reason the Labinski thing happened is hypothetically because Charles Baudelaire and Theophile Gautier had beef. So, my proposal, Gautier does fit the literary naming convention because it pits rival against rival again in a meta sense.
Also, think of the comedy of Olaf having a French last name. I don't know if it's funnier if he pronounces it correctly or not ("Gautier" is usually pronounced in the US as "Goh-Shay" [Wrong] it's pronounced in with the "CH" sound "Goh-Chay" [Correct] in French. Source: Lived in a town called Gautier named after the family that founded it. Was classmates with the grandson of this family) The jokes write themselves. I personally think it's funnier if Olaf pronounces it with the correct "CH" sound but everyone else treats him like he doesn't know how to say his own name.
Olaf Von Bulow
Okay, so this requires a little lore. To those of you who don't know, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny get their first names from the attempted murder trial of Claus Von Bulow. Klaus, though his name is altered in spelling, is named after the defendant, who (allegedly, he was acquitted) poisoned his wife Sunny, and was prosecuted by a woman named Violet (The Violet source is a little fuzzy. I just know she's named after one of the lawyers involved).
Dude, how messed up would it be if Olaf's last name was still in reference to this trial? It would be a really messed up way to make him into a matching set with the kids.
Also Von Bulow, like Labinski, does fit the general geography of where a name like "Olaf" would exist
Take it all with a grain of salt, just felt like throwing my hat in the ring on some options that generally fit canon naming conventions.
And no, I will not be addressing the "Olaf Baudelaire" theory ^_^. Too much canon material is super against the idea that Olaf and Beatrice are siblings. One super big one I can point to is Olaf being listed by Lemony as one of Beatrice's potential suitors in The Beatrice Letters ("-or even O"). Really don't think incest is what he had in mind when he was talking about marrying anyone that would make her happy especially since he brings up that R is on the table even though same-sex marriage wasn't a thing at the time.
Love to hear any other options anyone can come up with!

Okay so last night i finished watching the entirety of Okage Shadow King and-
.... I dont even know where to start. this is unlike any game ive watched or played before. It felt so weird yet so enticing and half of the time i couldn't tell if my brain was rotting or there was just some real deep lore or hidden meaning in here Maybe both??? and it left a strange, creepy, yet longing and nostalgic feeling in the back of my head too.
Let me explain.
spoilers ahead!!!
okay so First of all, the visual style of the game looks awesome I loved the characters and the dynamics going on between the NPC's and especially the main characters. I loved enjoying the witty banter and arguing between Stan and Rosalyn the most. But also, why is Stan insulting and body shaming her so much SHE AINT EVEN FAT??? i LOOK AT HER MODEL AND IM LIKE BRUH

for some odd reason i still found it funny though. Some of the humor might've even been exaggerated to a degree as well(not sure if that was intentional). Even if the writing and dialogue was a bit lost in translation, maybe perhaps, it was still pretty good as a whole and it caught me by surprise.
As for the world and NPC's... something definitely felt off at the beginning and i guess thats what gave me the initial unsettling feeling. Everyone just seemed so bent on doing their own part like dude i couldn't even explain to you Our main protagonist, Ari, is just a wet pathetic little boy who lets everyone step on him/lh Damn, even his own family doesn't seem to care much for him as an individual person and doesn't consider that he has his own ambitions and it rubbed me in a weird way. and yet for some reason i was still hooked. and then came STANLEY HIHAT TRINIDAD THE FOURTEENTH(the 3d challenged flappy shadow)to sweep our poor little boy off his feet and make him his "slave"(adoptive son/j) so he can conquer the world bfhdgsdvhgdfbgdhjg which btw how could anyone take any "evil king" that seriously with a name like that? I LOVE IT. i really enjoyed him getting his ghostly ass handed to him by the NPC's it was hilarious. He was-without a shadow of a doubt(hehehehehe)- the best character. Also it's so funny how he claims to be an evil king but intentionally and unintentionally does good things? I love that trope with villians. Anywho getting off track a little, Another thing that struck out to me was the soundtrack. It's pretty unique, but at times can get pretty repetitive. The ones i enjoy a lot are -Forest of willkur(just really encompasses the feel of the entire game) -Evil King Battle and my favorite- -Addashi Desert(got me in a shimmy FR)
youtube
YEAAAAAAAAAA
anywho going back to repetitive things... Eeeeeee... the fighting mechanics are sure something(GOD WHY ARENT THE COMMANDS BEING CARRIED OUT ON TIME WH- IS THE GAME POSSESSED??? DID STAN POSSESS THE GAME???) Also why are there ghosts in broad daylight?? WHY ARE THERE SO MANY GHOSTSSSS) i get it, you do need to grind for items and XP in this game but it looks pretty tedious, especially deep grave pit... oh lordy dude there are literally eight floors in the cave its not a cave its the 7 circles of hell(plus front desk)/j I don't wanna dunk on this game but the fighting could use improvements. Back to the story... i like the melancholy turn it takes when princess Marlene was revealed to be a doll which made total sense when Stan found she had no soul, the reveal of Beiloune's true identity, and when Ari becomes totally ignored and forgotten by just about everyone and from that point going forward the game took a more serious turn... also why does Triste(which means sad in spanish and i see what they did there-)
... why does that remind me of the wasteland from Epic Mickey where other people who've been forgotten reside there... also the dark, odd vibe of both games kinda match too. Another thing, I'm not sure if anyone else had the same thoughts but did anyone else expect a twist where Ari would become the evil king??? i mean, if this was a supposed journey of our main character who is always reminded about how much of a pushover he is would've lead me to think that the buildup would lead to something like Beiloune making him all powerful and force him to fight against his friends. But the last chapter also surprised me with its own twist and im digging that too. but yeah just about everything was coming back together about why the world was and felt as it is. its always the butler isnt it? Also Stan's final form:
I CANT-
im sorry i can't take this seriously when he's just letting them hang out like that(his moobs)

... anywho that happened. As for any hidden meanings and morals I'll have to talk about that later cause my smooth brain still cannot grasp. And its just
SO MUCH
#the one time i let myself ramble on this cursed site#dude this game is insane#but also so good WTF???#0kage shadow king#Youtube

THE OBSESSION HAS STRUCK AGAIN SO I REDESIGNED MY KID ICARUS OC
There's a bit of stuff about canon characters if you're interested but be warned this is mainly about my OC(s)
Info about her under the cut!
Aera is an ex servant of Aphrodite that defected during the Trojan War. She was a part of an elite group of Cupids (Basically Aphrodite's Angels? Im workshopping it) before joining Palutena's army, eventually making her way up to an army general. She defected because she fell in love with the Goddess of Light. She stole her bow when she left, and it's actually the Angel's Bow you use in Kid Icarus: Uprising!
Cupids are kinda like angels, but with hollow bones and dove wings, which are weaker. They were also, for the most part, free to do as they please as long as it fell in line with Aphrodite's mission statement of "causing love and problems". Aera argued that her leaving the army to elope with another goddess participating in the Trojan War did both and that she should've gotten a severance package for it.
That's not all- she's also Pit's mom! Kinda. She's not quite.. sure how he got there. She just kinda found him in a fruit basket full of Quince and Figs one day when he was a baby (hence the name Pit!) with a note attached saying it was hers. She didn't really question it since she just thought that's how angels were born. In all actuality it was Aphrodite in an attempt to get her taken off of Palutena's guard. It did not work.
The reason I believe Pit can't fly (at least in my lore) because his wings are dove wings, but his bones aren't hollow and therefore the wings cant support his weight! When a god grants him his flying abilities, they're really just temporarily granting him angel wings instead of his dove wings, and you could hypothetically do the same spell with any human.
Oh yeah in this lore I've created Palutena is Pit's other mom. She is not aware of this. Aphrodite never told her this. Love wins in strange ways. At least Palutena gets to keep Aera's statue-d corpse from Medusa's first invasion to Skyworld all those years ago? Silver linings people.
Facts about Aera that are more about how she affected the world around her than her:
She's the reason Palutena dresses the way she does now and not like she did back in the first game! Once Pit saved Palutena and they made their way back to the temple, Palutena... borrowed some of Aera's clothes. Over the years, it just became her fashion sense! Not like Aera needs them anymore.
She shared a house with her friend named Ivory! During the invasion of Skyworld, Ivory had managed to escape on a cloud, since they were actually one of Hermes's servants who had been negotiating sky travel with Palutena in the messenger god's stead. They had tried to take Pit with them when they fled, as of Aera's request, but they failed. I don't have any NEW art of Ivory, and some of their old art gave them wings, but I do have some old photos of them, which I'll show along-side the other photos! All that matters is that they're still alive!
Pit doesn't actually remember her! I imagine he was a bit young when the invasion happened (4/5) and that he was in the underworld for at least a year until Palutena called for his assistance. I'm allowed to mess with the timeline a little. As a treat. But anyways yeah he doesn't know she was his mom or that she had dove wings, which means he doesn't know HE has dove wings since they look pretty similar and he doesn't really have any other angels to compare them to.
All the art shown down here has outdated designs but the jokes are still the same.

Okay bye see you when I eventually have normal Kid Icarus art that isn't of my OCs okay bye 👍
#kai wont shut up#ts draws bb#Icarus Posting#OCs#kid icarus oc#kiu oc#Aera Cupid#Ivory#Icarus#<- their old name#kid icarus#kid icarus uprising#ki:u#kiu#i love her so much you dont understand

Sol lore drop
a bit of stuff for my random for funsies heroes word mission inspired character Sol, because I'm bored so why not? warning light world mission spoilers, mainly on Beat. additionally she has to versions her original word mission for fun version, and a fanfic exclusive version because I kind of low key like her for being a for fun character.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
so Sol isn't fully limited to heros, but that is where she started out. It mainly started with Beat and some details about him, mainly the fact he's actually a distant descendant of Goku. With the assumption of this meaning the series is like a very distant future to the GT timeline, we can now begin on who Sol is as a character and other stuff.
So beginning with her name Sol is actually coming from insolation, which should tell you that she uses the Frieza clan avatar option. this is inspired by the fact that some girls who play games with custom characters often choose masculine options, as many don't want any guys knowing for a number of reasons.
moving on to that GT timeline theory and inspired by beat's whole related to Goku thing, I added some of my love for giant monster movies so she's not a direct copy. So here's what happened pretty much: someone farther back wasn't fully cured at the end of the Baby saga, but he was already taken out by then and they were to weak so the dna just remained dormant in the bloodline.
coming around back to word mission Sol begins to register for the card game and start competing for the first time, Cooler is already her favorite character so she chooses the Frieza clan berserker avatar. as it's an easy option that easily hide's her feminine nature while playing, and Sol would rather not have people be rude or creepy about her being a girl. though her avatar has decorations on his horns, almost resembling earrings. (refrencing a type of jewelry a lot of people design for non human characters, in her case it's horn jewelry since her avatar doesn't have ears)
her avatar leans into Cooler further and resembles the level 3rd upgrade, additionally fully embracing the butterfly like shapes because that's what they remind me of, his back spikes are 4 instead of the 6 on the design furthering the accidental butterfly look. (the 3rd frieza clan berserker already looks a lot like Cooler's fourth form, it's just a little more with her because Froze leans into Frieza a bit more)
similar to Beat and everyone else she opens the first packet everyone gets, though in her case she obtains a Baby card that makes her feel really strange. Then when she's rounded up as an ally, her genetics don't reignite until she's pitted against Baby. From then on depending on how the player treats her, her role would change.
If the player is kind to her, she'll be a great ally that also gives boosts to her own team when used. Sol would also adopt other behaviors such as trading cards with beat and froze, mainly consisting of trading Frieza and Goku for cards related to Baby, Cooler, any card related to truffles or any card related to Cooler. (so that would mean Baby, Cooler, Dr. Lychee, Hatchiyack, the twins, any machine mutant or any of the armored squadron)
in game based thinking I imagine the player could trade a variety of cards for different ones, especially trading weaker ones or duplicate points to obtain a stronger card. Mainly I see her trade menu being a way to get some characters stronger, rather than just locking them away in the box.
in the event that the player is mean to her, Sol becomes a great enemy to the player. she starts becoming a time traveling nuisance, with no real care for the problems she causes. on the highest level of dislike, she ends up teaming up with certain canon characters. in other words she's someone you want to be nice to, because I imagine her having a really difficult boss battle if she was an actual game character.
both instances her tuffle and machine mutant genetics start affecting her avatar with time, making her resemble the frieza clan elite higher level designs more and more with time in the sense of robotic parts. slowly her design adopts more robotic parts, until eventually her design resembles an in between of an icejin and a machine mutant tuffle. her avatar keeps his black bodysuit, as it still fits in. (think kind of like Baby's roboform, with a bit of meta cooler influence)
her heroes team is: Her avatar, Super Baby 2, Cooler, Hatchiyack, Baby Vegeta, Salza and Baby (as in his adult form when he flees Vegeta's body)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
moving on to her non heroes version I made for fics, because she does exist. note this version mainly happened because I wanted to write for her more often, but it's a bit more difficult if I keep her a heroes only character. this version also uses slight au context as well, mainly adding to prevent confusion.
this version technically isn't related to Baby, just like her heroes version isn't exactly either. it was just a mutation result from someone not being fully cured from his possession, and the egg just remaining dormant until the genetic remains awoke.
this version is a bit different the idea is that a surviving tuffle scientist out there, got a hold of an icejin child and just kind of experimented with her out of curiosity. it's less of a tuffle and android twins situation, and more of a Kiryu from godzilla against mechagodzilla situation. rebuilt rather than replaced pretty much, kind of saving her life in all honesty
she bares a resemblance to other characters as a result, a bit more masc presenting but still a girl. I chose her avatar over her more human design (which does exist), as I felt that her avatar design was a bit more interesting with the changes.
like her world mission counterpart the machinery is slowly taking over her body, but with her energetic personality she refuses to let it stop her. the moment Baby takes her in he can not get her off, this small child is surprisingly clingy and is glad to finally have a parental figure in her life. (Or two in some rare cases, no she is not locked behind Coolbabe specifically because she's adopted lol)
Constantly trying to train with the twins and Baby, if she's in a coolbabe fic she will do it with Cooler as well. It's sort of like present Trunks, only it's an absurdly hyper icejin kid that will hang on her parent(s) like a sloth. if you offer her a piggyback ride she'll be really happy, and you won't be able to get her off for the next few hours so be careful with that offer.
she sleeps in the weirdest positions like a cat, she can and will sleep in a tiny box do not challenge her on that. I am not joking when I say this child will sleep through anything, an earthquake could tear through and she will be snoozing the entire way through.
she runs circles around Frieza with her energetic nature, she can't do that with Hatchiyack because he'll just pick her up in a casual manner if she's being to hyper.
all in all Sol's au counterpart is a puppy natured goof that likes having affection and people who care for her for once, and wants nothing more than to enjoy that fact every single day.

Okay having finished the Zora's Domain main quest I have thoughts. Below cut for spoiler reasons and because I have a lot of thoughts.
So Yona. She's sure... There I guess.
Look I'm not the first person on the website to complain about Yona, but I still have things to say. I would however like to preface this with the fact that while I do enjoy Sidlink, it's more in a "oh that's a nice ship" way than an "OMG I SHIP IT!" way. I'm also 100% not a Sidon simp. I get why y'all are so into him, but there are other characters I prefer. However, I definitely understand the frustration with Yona, and I have my own issues with her inclusion.
Now I'm not entirely convinced Yona was included just to spite sidlink ships and even less convinced it was just to spite the people who found him hot. Especially considering, I doubt they didn't see the thirst art for Ganondorf and that didn't stop them from letting the designer go whole hog on making him physically attractive. But I'll admit I can't 100% rule out the possibility that sidlink shippers contributed to that decision.
Instead, Yona almost comes off as just being a narrative shortcut by the devs to try and add some explanation to Sidon not immediately jumping into trying to investigate with the player and possibly to try and make it look like Sidon has changed in the 3-5 years since BOTW which, tbh wasn't even necessary. Zoras live a long ass time, I'd guess somewhere between 300 to 500 years. Sidon and the other Zora not actually changing that much as like people would make sense. In Zora terms it hasn't even been that long. As for the arc thing, you could have gotten the same affect by making Sidon afraid of failing his people or heck, if you wanna keep Sidon's fear of losing more people he's close to, have him know about Dorephan's state and have Sidon afraid that if he doesn't keep the water flowing into that chamber clean, he'll lose his father. Same damn affect.
Then you have Yona herself. For one thing she is so flat. Her only personality seems to be that she's nice and she's in love with Sidon. That isn't a character. Then there's her backstory. While more domains of zora makes sense, it's more the fact that any of these domains are still in contact with Hyrule's Zora's Domain that falls flat. We know Yona and Sidon met before the calamity, but you expect me to believe that any of the other domains kept in contact while Hyrule was crawling with guardians, let alone apparently visited enough for Sidon to not completely or at least mostly forget Yona? Where does she even come from? Across the sea? In the sea? Past the desert? Across that giant bottomless pit surrounding Hyrule on two sides? How did she even get here considering everything else going on?
Plus, one of the new monuments (why were those replaced anyway?) confirms that their marriage was arranged, and makes reference to Sidon viewing Yona as a sister... Nintendo what the fuck?! I don't care if Sidon's feelings toward Yona have become "complicated" or whatever he calls it, Sidon marrying someone he viewed as a sister is fucking creepy.
And then their relationship doesn't even seem meaningful. Now part of it is probably the fact that by the time we see Yona and Sidon interact I was already pretty iffy about the whole thing, but the limited screentime we get with them does not work to sell me on the fact that this relationship is actually romantic. They call each other an almost sickening amount of pet names but that just feels weird due to it. Like, there are times Sidon came off less as actually in love with Yona and more as trying to force himself to be. Like this relationship is way too forced to feel like anything but a slap in the face.
Plus tbh while I haven't finished the game, they might redeem themselves later, Yona is just a part of the growing feeling I'm getting that the devs just didn't consider how things fit into the already established lore. Like, why is Ganondorf knocking around when Hyrule is being founded when Hyrule was very much already a thing when Ganondorf first showed up in OOC. How does Sidon have a childhood friend from another domain with the calamity causing problems for the last 100 years? Why do the sages all have the exact same weapons as the champions? And the same models? Like... were these speeches originally supposed to be given by the champions and they switched it at the last second and couldn't be bothered to make new models? I love this game, I am having so much fun, but this story is just... I have so many questions. I really hope things start making more sense as I get farther in.

Loon & Astrapia Lore
i might as well just do them all in pairs
Loon
Loon used to be an excellent fighter and, much like Thrush and Cass, was in a militant organization. Specifically, he was is his AU’s version of the Royal Guard. But an injury has made it impossible for him to do that job. Several injuries, actually. It's a miracle he's alive. He's mostly healed well, in the years since, but there is no way he was going to be able to keep doing that job. He would probably kill himself just trying to practice; nevermind actually having to fight someone.
He kinda turned into a house husband, which he was only upset about because he didn't like being stuck in the house all day almost every day. It was nice that he had more time to spend with his family, and could help make dinner, but christ he was bored so much of the time. Also the mental and emotional damage taken from getting so badly injured and then being discharged.
He'd recently pulled himself out of the depressive pit the whole thing had put him in, and was trying to find hobbies. But, one of the few times he was out and about Rayonnant ran into him, heard he cooks and cleans, and decided he needed to come and cook for and clean an entire fucking manor house. by himself.
Rayonnant assumed that Loon couldn't teleport to other universes on his own, and he was right, so Loon isn't being blackmailed. He could try to run, but where the hell would he go? The manor is in the middle of fucking nowhere and he can't go that far with his disabilities. Looking at everyone else, though, and their reasons for staying, Loon's pretty glad that Rayonnant doesn't see the need to blackmail him.
Hopefully that means his family's okay. he doesn't know for sure. he hasn't seen him since he left the house that day. god, they must be worried sick...
He can do some cleaning but his injury makes it...difficult, to do a lot. He still pushes it, partly out of fear of Rayonnant and partly out of sheer stubbornness. Astrapia is going to kick his ass. But several of the others–particularly Thrush, who as I said finds it somewhat therapeutic–help him clean. Rayonnant genuinely missed the whole ‘disabled’ thing when he first found Loon (aside from the fact that he clearly only had one eye, unless he really just wanted to wear an eye patch around, which he found unlikely), so he doesn’t usually stop them, unless he really needs them to be doing something else. he never helps himself, though. why would he do that? that's what he has loon and his other peons for.
Cooking is usually easier, but it kinda depends on what he's making. Astrapia made arrangements (read: figuring out what exactly was needed and bothering Rayonnant until he went to get it just to be left alone) to get him some sort of accommodation for his disabilities so he can do more, though, and it particularly helps with cooking. I'm imagining, since the biggest problem is a chest injury, it's probably a big-ass brace. but i don't know enough about such things and will have to do research before I say anything for certain.
he was upset about the discharge because he had nothing to do and it felt bad in general. Now he's upset about the discharge because if he hadn’t gotten so fucked up, Rayonnant probaly wouldn’t have FUCKING kidnapped him!!!!!!!
Astrapia
Astrapia only knows her name because she had her med school diploma with her, which (gasp) had her name on it. This is also how she knows she was a doctor, and why she suspects that she’d only just graduated; not that she knows for sure. also a cool caduceus tattoo, though that could've been entirely unrelated.
Rayonnant was hesitant to just have her be his team’s doctor if she couldn’t remember anything, but he needed a doctor and had her basically show him what, if anything, she remembered. To her own surprise, as well as Rayonnant’s, she did remember a lot. Hired.
She ends up being somewhat close with Loon because he keeps aggravating his injury and at this point she’s threatened to kick his ass if he doesn’t at least let her take a look to make sure it’s not a serious problem. also tbh they're two of like...three people who are constantly in the manor (and aren't in a cell) so they sometimes hang out just to not be alone. also to force loon to rest. sit down you stubborn bitch
And she probably didn’t know how awful Rayonnant was until a couple of weeks after moving in, and finally asks what tf they’re all doing to get themselves hurt so badly. Rayonnant treats her relatively well, seeing as how she's the goddamn doctor and therefore a vital part of his operations, so she didn't really have much reason to suspect he was... all that he is.
Being a glitch, she can easily go wherever the hell she wants. But he knows how to track her down if she tries, and if she does, he'll kill her. so she stays, and uses her position as the doctor to occasionally bully Rayonnant into letting people fucking REST because she's not a goddamn MIRACLE WORKER. They need to REST to HEAL.
She doesn't have a lot of practice with any of her glitch abilities, though she has tripped the circuit breakers a few times by accident. she uh. she had to learn to control that pretty quick. rayonnant was about ready to strangle her, accident or no.
#Inter-Dimensional Anomaly#IDA Loon#IDA Astrapia#astrapia i think deserves to go outside to practice her abilities when Rayonnant's not looking. i think it'd be cool.#'im a healer but...i'm going to fuck you up'#unfortunately she's too afraid of Rayonnant to try right now. but maybe eventually......#i say. as if i don't control what happens#Now no one’s really as good a doctor as Mercury (aside from other Mercurys who are doctors)#because he can use your own innate magic to help you heal faster#and everyone else seems substandard in comparison#but Astrapia’s great. way better than you’d expect considering the amnesia. but she actually listens to her patients#which is at least 49% of Being A Good Doctor

Before icebrood saga was announced i had made a tribune for ash legion who operated in grothmar who had a relationship with bangar ruinbringer and was the reason he hated ash legion. Cut to post icebrood saga and its still part of the ship except the series gave me even more to make the relationship dynamic juicy as they go from ride or die best friends with benefits to political opposite rivals locking horns, neither able to kill the other untill bangar leads the charr to renegades, jormag, and civil war.
The ash legion knew that the 13foot charr would be hard to hide on missions so they decided to write up a story for him and have him compete in the ooze pits for a blood legion warband. The main concern was the flame legion being bolder and they wanted someone to keep an eye on soldiers who were defecting in the blood legion. Unfortunately Octavos, a dependable and talented gaurdian caught the eye of the imperators son… bangar ruinbringer. Bangar was looking for new warband members after having a good chunk of his warband slaughtered in the human charr conflict and this charr seemed ideal. Octavos even had a blood legion dame who was a hero who sacrificed herself to keep a village safe.

Bangar didn’t expect a thing. Around the others he was considered a big dumb idiot who was great in combat. One who had a voracious appetite giving him the reputation of being called The Devourer for it (and the fact that while he wasnt a ranger he had a small pet devourer) but bangar could see through the fact he was more than just the dumb act.

(Going to be honest I noticed i forgot a speech bubble here commenting that the big guy shouldnt be quiet to fit in because he loves to talk.)

(Another panel i need to fix working in. Im using the old lore of only people related to the khan ur can be imperators. I wanted bangar to be a nepobaby in his youth who got his way because he was the imperators cub and soon to be the next leader. Plus it adds to the oldfashionedness of his future self if he was made leader through a tradition no longer practiced in the other legions)

And he will steal that canon in the future lol. Anyway the two become best friends with benefits and a much more benefitial and enjoyable loving relationship than what i imagine was the toxic love with almorra. . Lets face it i dont think bangar was ever truely loyal (but expects complete loyalty from his mate because hes a asshole like that) to almorra and had cubs with others (#headcanon for bangar being rytlocks sire but was looked down at first for being a runt and not almorras cub- and with that, ryland was his grandcub making it even more easier to influence him). Octavos is truthful in wanting to protect his home where he was born and about protecting bangar. They had not yet diverged in their opinions yet, still deep in the charr human war. A crack in bangar starts when almorra leaves him for some ash legionnaire, embers grandsire who treats almorra leagues better than bangar ever did. Cant trust an ash legion charr.
As years pass bangar becomes tribune, going up the ranks while his sire ages. Soon he will make the move to become imperator. But a new leader in the flame legion named gaheron comes to the scene and soon octavos finds out as a spy that the citadel is going to be bombed. Soon. He makes a snap decision going straight to the imperator to tell him the news and give him proof. The bombs are set and they need to be disarmed now! He doesnt even go to the ash legion first- grothmar has the men and resources to stop a slaughter from happening at the fahrar and legion sleeping quarters
But… (coming in a part two because tumblr only lets me post ten images)
Hey GW2 community!
I want to hear about your OC x NPC ships.
Tell me how they met,how their relationship developed, how they interact, their tragedies and triumphs. Do they have any kids? Are they just starting their relationship? I want to hear literally everything 💙
Bonus points for sharing art of your ship!! 👀🥰

Let's Talk Garten of BanBan
Since I've been challenging myself to tackle mascot horror and make my own story, let's talk about a recent mascot horror game and my thoughts on it, especially as a writer.
The most I can glean from the game is that we play as a parent looking for a child. Is the note left from a kid our kid? No clue. I would assume so, but who knows? The mascots seem to attack for no reason. Also, the boarding passes make no sense to me. Why did they need boarding passes for kindergarten?
What would I change if I wrote it? ...a lot.
The mascots would get a redesign. I get they supposedly wanted them to look like characters kids drew up, but I'm not completely buying it.
I definitely would rework the whole layout in general. Maybe make it someplace I'd believe parents would leave their kids. The bottomless ball pit with a ski lift would for sure be a safety violation.
One of my main gripes with most mascot horror games lately that this is very at fault for that I'd fix, giving it more of an actual story. So we're a parent looking for, I'm assuming, our child. Who is our kid? Why are we looking for them? Did we get some sort of notification that something was off with the place? Did we hear about something that happened? Why did we go looking for our kid? The story should be a part of it, not mostly hidden and treated as lore. Not everything has to be lore. We need to know what's going on. Also, what's with the "distraction at 1" bit? There's nothing to really explain it, especially when the time feature doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
Then there's the mascots and the tape and audio in the intro with the kids screaming, along with the note about kids in the ball pit screaming. This leads me to believe the mascots are going after the kids as well. Why are they going after them? There's no real reason given. It just seems pointless.
If I were to rework it, I'd give more of a reason as to why we're going to this place to get our kid. Maybe we heard that something had happened and we're worried for their safety. That would give us a reason to go to the kindergarten. Maybe open it with a bit more exploration of the main entrance. Really lay the scene, ground the player(or reader if it were a story) in the setting. Maybe there's something off about the place. Maybe it all seems almost too quiet and together considering the info we received. But I would definitely take some time to establish the setting first.
Mechanics are cool and all, but the drone really feels unnecessary, so I'd nix that completely. It felt more like a gimmick to be like "you see, we have this cool feature other games don't".
I'd probably switch the mascots from going after the children, to perhaps going rogue and becoming overly protective of them if we are going to make them more like creatures than anything. Like maybe one of the staff members, perhaps the one teacher that is named in one of the letters, was up to something and it set them off. That would then give them a reason to attack the parent coming in because these mascots would be going rogue and going after adults. I mean, the player would technically be an intruder to them, which in this case would give them a good reason to attack. Maybe the mascots have taken the kids to a specific area to keep them safe, but don't realize what they're doing could be putting them in danger.
Again, this would all be in a more realistic setting for a kindergarten. No bottomless pit of a ball pit with a weird ski lift system this time around.
Then, when we do get to wherever the kids are being held, that's when we meet BanBan. He'd be like the final boss. His name is the one attached to the kindergarten, so it'd make sense that he'd be the main security and one to keep the kids safe. Like the other mascots are a sort of security system we have to get through before we can reach where BanBan is keeping the kids.
It honestly wouldn't be that hard to rework it in a way that makes sense and still involve the main mascot. It wouldn't have to be a multi-parter. It could be one story, and then you can hint at things like how the mascots were created and why they were made the way they were as lore. Maybe even sneak in hints that the one staff member was up to something.

Bones of the Forgotten
For those unaware, when I was 12 years old, I used to write very gritty Mario fanfiction. The only reason this exists is because we hit a charity milestone for Extra Life (which by the way you can still donate to here: https://www.extra-life.org/participant/450294)
I decided to write the sort of fanfiction that 12 year old me would've enjoyed writing, so here is my love letter to my youth.
A question block can come in handy in a variety of ways. You just gotta know how to scrap it down. Easily done enough with a precision focus Fire Flower blowtorch. The first thing you gotta do is realize there's nothing bringing that sonuvabitch down; those fuckers float in the air forever no matter how much you push or pull 'em. Instead, you gotta carve off pieces from it as it's floating up there. Awkward at first, but by the fiftieth time, it's fucking clockwork.
Melt down the pieces and you've got the golden goo perfect for crafting all sorts of nasty tools. A bat made from question block has just enough lightness for a easy swing, but just enough density to still effectively break a kneecap. A blade still won't pierce, say, a Chain Chomp, but it can at least pierce most Koopa shells. Plus, some people just like the gold color; they think it looks sick.
I personally think the best use of question block goo is making bullets out of it. They're denser than most others and they maintain their speed for longer. The only downside is they stand out if you leave them in a body at a crime scene, but that's irrelevant as long as you're cleaning up your messes properly. If anyone had the time and resources to search the bottom of the sea near Rogueport Docks, I imagine you'd find a glittering trove of golden bullets scattered among the bones of the forgotten.
One of those bullets dances idly through my fingers as I listen to one of my subordinates, a Craw with the quite frankly unfortunate name of Garf, lament about his recent mistreatment by the Syndicate.
"Ishnail, they just stomped the shit out of us! Gus and I, we weren't doin' NOTHIN' and those leafy fucks attacked us. Everyone knows the Plaza's neutral territory, we gotta DO somethin' about this."
Craws get a bad rap, in my opinion. They get labeled as savage, but I've always found them to be much more thoughtful than people would assume. Even in this moment, as my eyes gaze upon Garf's tattered, bloodied vest and bandana, and his curved beak squawks in rage, I notice the slightest trace of tears at the very edges of his eyes. Aw.
"Let me ask you one question, Garf." Out of respect, Garf immediately goes silent. Again, thoughtful. "Were you and Gus carrying your spears?"
"I......I mean.....we have to, it's part of Craw culture...."
"I'm well aware, but Garf, I'm sure YOU'RE well aware that no weapons are allowed in the Plaza. I mean, at the very least, keep a goddamn gun hidden in your pocket, don't wave a fucking SPEAR around. You're just asking for the Piantas to give you a beating."
I get up from the dingy sofa I've been lounging on and dust myself off. "But I can't have Don Pianta thinking it's okay to fuck up my guys. I'll have to have a word with the ol' mustachioed fuck." I pat Garf on the cheek and wipe a tear away with my thumb. He nods in appreciation.
I motion to two of my subordinates, a scrappy looking Goomba named Goomfrey and a laidback Hammer Brother named Hamma. We step outside HQ and into the bustling, grimy streets of Rogueport's east side.
As long as I've lived in Rogueport, it's always carried the smell of the sea in the air. It's a welcome scent to me, having grown up in the Seaside Kingdom. My mom was a Bubblainian; she raised me when my deadbeat Koopa dad left us, and what she gave me was the snail shell on my back and a love for the water. Merchants shouting and the occasional "STOP, THIEF!" ring out as my muscle and I make our way through the Plaza. We pass the gallows where the Shadow Queen's corpse was supposedly hung from one thousand years ago. Fittingly gruesome lore for a city filled with murderous rat-bastards.
A sickly sweet scent starts to mingle with the smell of the sea and garbage I'm used to. It's an indication that we're entering the west side of Rogueport. Sure, it's a much tidier area than where the Robbos and I live; there may be fancy-ass things like "flowers" and "benches," how hoity-toity. You can put lipstick on a Li'l Oink, but it still smells like shit.
We walk into Westside Goods. There's no need for the customary password; Peeka, the Boo shopkeeper, knows why I'm here. She opens up the back door, and we walk up the stairs in the back alley to Don Pianta's office.
"Ishnail, to what do I owe the pleasure?"
Don Pianta stands behind his desk; as much as I hate to admit it, his presence is overwhelming. "And you brought friends, too?" he notes as he sees Goomfrey and Hamma.
If you want to live long in Rogueport, every time you enter a room, you have to mentally gauge 1. the quickest way to escape, 2. who you may need to disable and/or kill to escape, and 3. how easy that's all going to be. Two giant yellow Pianta in suits stand guard at both sides of the Don's desk. A blue Pianta in a white suit, the Don's underboss Frankie, closes the door behind us.
Piantas are not easy to injure, let alone kill; I know this from years of tangling with the Don's gang. The little palm trees and skirts would make you think otherwise, but Piantas are naturally built like fucking dump trucks and hit just as hard. Hamma's a Glitz Pit fighter, and I've seen what he can do with that hammer. Goomfrey gets underestimated for his species, but his reputation precedes him; he has bitten off more fingers than your average Rogueportian. Still, a fight against four Piantas, even with my question block bullets, would be brutal. It's telling that you never see a Pianta with a weapon because nothing will kill you faster than simply their own fists.
"Your men attacked mine, Don. And for what, carrying spears? You and I both know that's bullshit."
"My men....have been on edge. Your little Bandit friends have been scuttling around, picking too many pockets they shouldn't be. Keep that shit on the East Side where it belongs, and we'll be fine."
As Don Pianta talks, he habitually cracks his knuckles. Out of all the Piantas in the syndicate, Don Pianta is truly a mammoth; his muscles are barely contained by the suit he's wearing. Honestly, if he wasn't my ultimate arch-nemesis in this town, shit, I'd fuck him. I like my men beefy.
"Alright, Don. I'll tell my boys to keep their weapons out of the plaza. You and I both know no one benefits if we fight in the streets. Bad business for both your establishments and mine. Let's keep things quiet."
"Agreed," The Don extends a giant hand. I shake it firmly.
I turn to leave with my muscle in tow. As I open the door to leave, I hear a whisper.
"Get your slimy shell outta here, you fuck."
I pause. I give Goomfrey the look, and he smirks. Goomfrey's eyes quickly dart and I know he's already memorizing every little detail about the yellow Pianta who whispered the insult. Without another word, I close the door behind me.
---
There's one more use for question block goo I forgot to mention. It's perfect for weighing things down.
I breathe in the salty seaport air; it's particularly sweet tonight. The golden bullet dances between my fingers; I know it's a bad habit, but it's fun to fidget with. It'll go to good use though. I load it into my Fire Flower pistol with a few others and carefully attach the silencer.
"Now, listen, uh...what was his name again?"
"Paulie," says Goomfrey, standing to my side with a grin.
"That's right, Paulie. I'm a pretty patient person, I think most people including your boss would agree, but I've got a real sore spot about the shell, ya know? It's just, it reminds me of my dear old ma, and I love her to bits. You understand, right?"
There is no response from Paulie due to his crushed windpipe courtesy of Hamma's hammer. Quite frankly, I'm impressed he's still conscious from the pain. He looks up at me from his crouching position eyes filled with hate, his hands and feet encased in reforged golden question blocks. Piantas are heavy, so four blocks worth is safest.
"I did promise the dear Don that I'd keep things quiet, so let's cut to the chase." I point the gun at his forehead and before he can react, I fire three shots. There's no need to prolong this shit; I'm not a sadist. Hamma and Goomfrey pick up the body and toss it off the port into the sea.
"For what it's worth, boss," says Hamma in a low, pleasant baritone. "I like your shell. Looks good on ya."
"Aww, thanks."

new dnd character dump because I haven’t played in years and I’m PENT UP
Nguyệt: Earth Genasi warlock whose genie patron is her own great-great-grandmother. She grew up without knowing her ancestor due to a rift in the family starting with her grandfather, but she’s learning to harness the power that flows through her as her great-great-grandmother puts her through tests before deciding to go forward and really get to know her (you know how impersonal and pragmatic immortal beings can be)
Alon Balagtas: Outdoorsy Wood Elf with powerful legs. I mostly just wanna play as a guy with Thick Thighs(tm) and this is my excuse. He’s either gonna be a kensei monk or a battlemaster fighter, still not sure, though I guess monk would make it easier to get away with him being unarmored
Gazsi Kurucz: Abnormally Large Human barbarian. I already made a post about him but he wasn’t in the last character dump so here. I think I wanna go with totem warrior for him to give him Big Hops but reflavor it so that it’s not about a connection with nature and instead he’s just Like That. Also he’s incredibly vain and reluctant to form any kind of lasting connection with anyone, just wants to adventure and spend all of his money on fancy shit to make him look and feel cool. His reasons for the issues he has will have you asking “is he a realist or just dumb and fake deep?”
Jaska Rautio: Human gunslinger fighter. I’ve gone back and forth between whether that or artificer would work better for him but I feel like gunslinger would just be more fitting. Not much lore for him I just feel like the mechanics could be fun. Imagine he’s holding a bullet in the picture
Freymundr: Hill Dwarf fighter with the unarmed fighting style, born into the clan Hillshaper but was later stripped of that name after an incident that brought shame onto the clan and now he gets by from the money he makes off of pit fighting
Almithara: Pretty tall and kinda buff Wood Elf bladesinger. Again, the idea for her is mostly about mechanics and also cause she’s a Big Lady and I think that’s neat
Ayodele: An NPC for a campaign I have planned. He’s a Fire Genasi cartographer with an absolute passion for maps and geography, so he wanders the lands mapping as much as he can in his own unique style and selling them to get by. There are... some accidents that have lost him valuable pieces of his collection. Not that he can’t control his powers, just you know, something’s *bound* to happen when he’s literally part fire and loves paper so much. No class because I don’t plan on having him fight, I just feel like he could be a cool social ally for the players
Adilet Aydar: Half-Drow way of the shadow monk. No real plan for him but I just made the mini in heroforge based on vibe and I feel like he could be cool to play, and I had a fun time making that subtle but evocative pose for him

I have a few favorites, but at the moment I've been thinking a lot about Lance.
Lance is one of my older OCs (I made him when I was in middle school and Boy was it rough) and he has had so much development/change/just straight-up having sections of him scrapped. He started as Edgy Psycho Murder Man™️ and has thankfully become something--for lack of better wording--less horrifically Cringe.
Tl;dr- Lance was a man that did bad things, died, went to "Hell," and became the best of the worst. The god of mental illness saw him and decided to test something on him, cause if this guy could be redeemed, maybe they could too! He gets (kinda shitty) therapy and, eventually, after being pulled back to the mortal realm and having a really awful adjustment period with help from 1 shithead of a god, he starts getting better. And sadder. But mostly better for now.
Cw for violence
He was a normal, completely average guy. He went to college, he met a girl, he got married, he has anger issues and he killed a man, and he didn't exactly get away with it. This part of his backstory isn't fully baked, but what is is what happened after he died.
In my universe's lore, there is an afterlife/reincarnation setup. Souls die and then get sorted into the good/bad/??? place (names pending) (the sorting isn't based on any arbitrary rule, so much as it's based on one's ability to not be destructive to other people/things). If they go to the good place, great! They can chill for a while! Eventually they'll probably get bored enough to get their memories wiped and go back around as a clean slate. If they're in the ??? place, they're essentially just in a waiting room with a bunch of other people that were not obvious Good or Bad enough, and they sit there. And wait. Until they can be properly sorted and sent to their respective area. The bad place is... Well it's less an afterlife and moreso an Evil waiting room with a Soul Woodchipper at the end (in the form of many demons) (yes there are demons and angels but I'm not getting into that right now).
So, Ill-Tempered Lance got sent to the bad place. This sucks for a lot of reasons. Everything is cold, and the place is damp and devoid of all life unless it wants to kill you. Everyone is hungry and can't be full, thirsty and can't be quenched, tired and can't sleep, and terrified but cannot run from the inevitable. He didn't exactly know what that inevitable was, though, even when he was staring it in its cracked face.
A demon "talent scout," Lana, found this strong-looking, hopeless guy wandering the barren wasteland outside the kingdom of Hell, and decided he'd be good enough to toss in the pit (a gladiator arena, essentially).
He got good at it.
Really good at it.
He earned himself a nickname for his work in the pit: Throe.
Of course, it's not like you can truly die in the afterlife, where would you even go? Any blood dissolves after it passes the skin, and any otherwise fatal injury causes the whole body to crumple and dissolve at the point of injury. The person reforms later, and while this mechanic is important I'm not 100% confident on the details of it. Either way, Throe got very used to getting mouthfuls of dust and nothing. Cannibalism is important to his character arc. To me.
There are other events that occur in this time period, but I would rather write them out with care later on. I'm doing a massive rewrite of his backstory anyways, on top of all my other wips lol.
This continues for a while. Like. A century or more. Hard to tell when time passes when there's no sun, and your schedule revolves around when you'll be dragged back into the arena. But at some point, Tenebres finds him.
Tenebres (another middle school oc that has since recovered), Tina for short (but it's more complicated than that, I'm not getting into a Tenebres deep dive rn tho sorry), the deity and embodiment of mental illnesses. All of them. As you can probably guess, it's rough for her. It's easy to be ~The Madness God~ and be Quirky and Dangerous but it's much, much harder to pull away from that and try so, so hard to be good and Normal™️.
It's much easier to find a random guy and toy with him, just to see if maybe, maybe there's something redeemable about this killing machine. Maybe he's fixable, and maybe if he can get better... Maybe she can too..? [I understand this sounds kinda like Hazbin Hotel and I'm so mad that this sounds like Hazbin Hotel. I made this lore YEARS before that. Slamming the ground and sobbing and screaming. I could do it better. Anyways (lighthearted)]
So she tries. In her own.. kinda shitty way, that involved multiple instances of poking him until he snapped, letting him attack a hallucination of her, and poking him some more after he wore himself out. It was bad! It was rough! Idk how much of this I'm going to change! But somehow they began to talk. He was never going to have a calm, touching heart-to-heart, not in Literal Actual Hell, but eventually he would stop trying to kill her. Mostly because it would never work.
This is... Where the lore gets fuzzy. Between years of not really thinking about it, having to retcon/change aspects of it that were originally tied to a roleplay, and the fact that it was middle school writing--I don't really know what happens between then and the present Lance that I have rattling in my skull, where he's not happy but he's trying his best to live life and forget his nightmares.
That's uh.. mostly it! If you read this far thanks!! And extra thanks for the prompt :D!!
tell me 'bout your current favourite oc
#my ocs#oc-lance#most of this is Pending lore but like#it's basically canon at this point. this lore has tenure yk
