I just realised that in a AU where Shen Qingqiu ends up on Qian Cao peak as disciple, he's basically Dr. House. He's the grumpy guy who denigrates everyone's work because they missed this and that but they can't complain… because they DID miss stuff.

Shen Jiu stalks the halls with his cane like an angry ghost with a frown rivalling YQY's placid smiles. Young disciples would doubt he even needs the cane and it's not just a prop to hit them when they mess up, because sometimes the walks just fine without it.

"Everyone lies, Liu Qingge," Shen Jiu sneers. "Proof of it." And he stabs LQG with a needle when he promised not to.

Mu Qingfang taking deeps breathes before catching the man hiding somewhere away from the ruckus, "shidi why have you used a full bottle of Prime Venom from the Southern Heterochrom Tarantula on disciple Zang from Qiong Ding? I hear he has developed an infected Double sclera. Shidi knows the price of one bottle… right?"

Shen Jiu, hunched over romance books, "Yes, I know. It helped me determine what this idiot has."

Mu Qingfang perks up, "Oh? What did shidi find?"

"It's not the Butterfly-nosed-wolf rash," Shen Jiu scoffs.

(Mu Qingfang doesn't scolds him too much… because he some potions he used mixed badly with SJ's damaged cultivation, then he missed some symtoms causing his his invisible disability.)

the idea came to me in a migraine induced dream but now im obsessed with the concept of a mu qingfang who knew the abuse bunhe was going through at the hands of og!shen qingqiu/shen jiu and did his best to treat the kid whenever he could (and bring his concerns to zhangmen shixiong, which were obviously very much ignored) and his constant worry over the situation means that when the qi deviation happens he is suspicious of shen qingqiu’s changes for all different reasons and very much protective of luo binghe -who is a sweet child and an earnest disciple who seems to always find the most incredible medicinal herbs to bring to his mu shishu as thanks for the care bestowed upon him- which means that when the whole shen qingqiu dying thing happens instead of bad mouthing luo binghe or fighting him at every chance he does his best to come over and keep an eye on things to try and help him and make sure luo binghe won’t kill himself trying to bring shen qingqiu back because he remembers that earnest kid and he’s witnessed luo binghe’s devotion to this shen qingqiu first hand and knows there is no way that the kid who cried when ning yingying found a bird with a broken wing and begged mu qingfang to fix it and the kid that would always borrow medical texts and try to find new herb combinations as if it was a game between him and qian cao disciples is actually doing anything nefarious to shen qingqiu’s corpse.

AU where Shen Yuan plays a PIDW otome spin-off game where you date all the male characters and he decides to give it a shot because he heard Luo Binghe's characterization was really good in it. He's a hardcore LBH fanboy and he can't pass this chance up, but it's one of those games in which you need to unlock guys by finishing the first few and because LBH is the protagonist he's not only locked behind another character but he's also paywalled and his route is extremely difficult.

Shen Yuan ends up spending 100+ hours into this game and trying to explore all the routes and side quests, he's gotten almost all the secret endings for every guy and he's maxed the dlc characters.

LQG - One of the first love interests. You meet him when you find him poisoned, you protect him from a three headed snake monster and he's deeply indebted to you.

MQF - Unlocked via LQG's route, you get him when your MC has to take LQG to get healed.

GYX - He helps you on a mission to Bailu Forest, only romancable once you unlock the Huan Hua area.

YQY - Unlocked after you complete the good routes of all the romancable peak lords of CQM. His good ending is extremely hard to get.

ZHL - Unlockable after you romance GYX, he's a dlc character.

TLJ - Also a dlc character, you can romance him once you've completed every character's route.

SJ - Arguably the hardest romance route, almost all options lead to the bad ending and you really have to be specific with which routes you choose for your New Game + playthrough. Not to mention he has a secret ending that's even harder to unlock.

Now Shen Yuan has FINALLY gotten to LBH, you meet him through SJ's route as a white lotus disciple, but you have to romance SJ and TLJ before you can romance him. In his bad ending he kills you for siding with CQM, the neutral ending you become part of the harem. You can only unlock the good ending by unlocking SJ's secret ending. The good ending you get an option to tell LBH your feelings, it's an experimental game mechanic where you can literally type out a response. Some people may shit post on this section, but SY puts down his real and genuine thoughts out towards LBH. LBH then asks SY to promise him that they would stay together forever, and SY chooses the yes option.

Okay so new game plus time, SY got through all the endings now he needs to replay to get the super uper duper ng+ secret endings, so he plays the game normally just speeding through with the first love interest, Liu Qingge; but as he's on the rank 7 love confession scene, the game suddenly crashes and he has to reboot the game. His save file got erased so he just plays again normally, but for some reason it keeps veering him towards Luo Binghe's route, when he meets him during Jinlan City...

Every time he tries to get the other routes his save file crashes, or it would just go right to Luo Binghe's route. He looks it up on the Internet to see how to fix the bug... Nobody else is having this problem.

So he just decides to keep going with the Luo Binghe route again since he liked it so much, and he gets back to the true ending where he promises Binghe he'll stay with him forever. But then, suddenly there's an error message on the screen saying "System Reboot: initializing" and when it fully loads it says "Welcome User 002, to Proud Immortal Demon Way". And then the power cuts out, Shen Yuan is a little startled and confused until he feels an electric jolt. He falls limply to the ground, and wakes up in a new world.

Thinking about Omega SQQ again sigh

Okay. So warning this is a male lactation AU so if you don’t like that don’t read, nothing explicit happens tho, just a guy and his pups

I imagine when he first goes into his body everything feels like he’s in haywire, constantly on edge and ready for a fight. Once he’s gotten the hang of things he uses his cultivation to try and simmer down his hormones.

Only to realize it was his cultivation preventing hormones that was making him feel like shit all the time.

So eventually he sighs and stops doing that. The first few days are bad, cramps and sickness and a general feeling of wanting to claw everyone’s eyes out. He gets through that though.

Then his breasts start to come in.

He knew PIDW has its weirder parts of omegaverse so he knew that this would happen. At first he starts binding his chest but that hurts SO SO SO much that he collapses on like the third day (he was also doing it improperly because it’s him, yk) and gets stuffed into Qian Cao

MQF: I was not aware shixiong was an omega

SQQ: I’ve only recently decided to stop holding myself back

MQF: it is recommended that you form a small pack of your disciples to help with your instincts and… that *waving at SQQs chest.*

SQQ: *screams internally.* Okay :)

At this point after like a week of just draining himself and going insane he finally gives up. LBH has already started living in the bamboo hut so he’s kinda the best option so he sits the boy down.

SQQ: Binghe, I hope you know this isn’t going to change anything but

LBH, thinking: oh my god no please don’t kick me out

SQQ: since this master has allowed his omega side back out he’s been struggling with his urges about thinking of his disciples like pups. If it’s not an offense to your character can I take some of it out on you

LBH, internally: YES YES YES PLEASE OH GOD YES I NEED IT

LBH, externally: If that would please shizun then sure :]

So they start a twice daily thing of in the morning and night LBH goes into SQQs room and his nest and gets feed. Apparently milk is hella good for the skin and shit because after a few weeks he starts to look flawless somehow.

And SQQ really wants to see his other kids- DISCIPLES flourish like that. He extends the offer to a close few and some look like they going to cry at the honor of their teacher wanting to take care of them.

LBH is still the main drinker and always wants to huff when he has to share, but he does it none the less. His Shizun gets really cute during feeding sessions, purring and chirping at them, fixing their hair and playing with it, scratching their scalp, the whole nine yards.

So LBH repays it by feeding SQQ more, which also makes him have more milk in turn. He huffs and complains at his body’s need to produce so much, his chest wayyy too heavy in the middle of the day to be comfortable, leaking and wasting everything.

He ignored that though, even if LBH and his other pups- disciples offer to help him.

Eventually after the Abyss his body is still making big amounts of milk because that’s what it was used to. Most of the time he just gets it out himself and pours it into the grass, often now also starting his other feedings.

Everything starts to get to him and he’s decided that staying on the mountain is no good. So he sneaks out, by himself, in search of something to heal his heart.

All the peak lords and disciples are going crazy, nobody can find him and nobody knows where he could’ve gone. Eventually while LQG is talking to a random villager out in a border town of their territory he sees SQQ again, arms filled with two pudgy babies and looking ever so pleased.

SQQ: Oh! Hi Shidi

SQQ internally: OH FUCK I FORGOT ABOUT THE SECT

LQG: where have you been???

SQQ: sorry sorry babies are hard work I didn’t want to travel alone with them

LQG, wanting to have an aneurysm but can’t: let me just help you home

On one hand the entire sect is so relieved that SQQ didn’t die of heartbreak over losing his favorite pup or get kidnapped. On the other hand SQQ??? Where’d you’d acquire those babies?? They aren’t yours, it’s only been 6 months!!

Anyways after SQQ is safely back in the sect he doesn’t see a point in leaving. I mean! Look! Look at his pups! So cute and round! One of them has little dimples!

The other peak lords carefully go to see what was going on, YQY opening the door to the bamboo house after being told to come in and all of them are just smacked with happy omega pheromones, SQQ gently cradling them both in his arms as he rocks in a chair.

At that point all of the peak lords decide that yk, maybe it doesn’t matter how the children were acquired. They were well feed and cared for and obviously SQQ was happy again.

(He got the children from a working in the WRP, she had wanted babies and all her sisters were supportive but then she realized she didn’t like being a parent but you also can’t morally just… dispose of a child. SQQ visited there once in his depression stoop and stayed for a few days after falling in love with the kiddos. Then he just went on an adventure with his babies and got distracted by the cool world building.)

anyway mqf being exhausted after dealing with a) bai zhan peak disciples who have somehow managed to get all of them injured severely but not the crippling kind, just the ones that need either mqf's expertise or a senior healer, b) beast taming peak disciples who thought it was a good idea to pet a beast that it widely known to eat people who come too close, c) liu qingge, d) shen qingqiu, e) yue qingyan, and he does not get paid enough for this

idk sometimes people think the most bizarre things when they're very tired and so, mqf, after realizing that doctor-patient confidentiality does not equate to passively dealing with recurring patients, decides that Change Is Necessary

the next time lqg drops off disciples after "training", mqf heals them and yells at lqg with all the anger and exhaustion of a med school student. which is, yeah, you don't want to know

sqq overheard it and is very pleased. bonus points, bai zhan avoids harassing qing jing ever since mqf passive aggressively tells them that if they hurt disciples from another peak unprovoked, he's going to ban them from receiving medical treatment (it's an empty threat. but it works)

the next time sqq gets a qi deviation, mqf sits him down and tells him that if he doesn't get his shit together he will have to call an Intervention. of course, this does not go very well with sqq, so mqf calls an Intervention. sqh is suspiciously on board with this. he has all the materials needed. mqf wonders, then decides that sqh must be planning a long time before mqf lost his shit

a truth pollen or serum or whatever later, yqy and sqq are decidedly Not Pleased with them but mqf has one less problem (sqq's qi deviations) and that is Worth It. also he better be a vip guest in qijiu's wedding because he has gone through so much shit because of them

anyway he and sqh are bonding over everything and mqf has realized that sqh is, maybe, being courted by an ice demon king. mqf debates the ethics of sqh's maybe traitor-y ways then decides that sqh is too good of a gossip buddy to lose. mqf makes him realize that he's being courted. sqh faints. mqf tells him that he knows it's a pretend faint— he's witnessed and healed thousands of patients who fainted. who is sqh trying to fool here?

mqf also demands a vip invitation to moshang's wedding. anyway, his patients are the lowest in number since he became a peak lord, his sect leader is happy and willing to give qian cao more funds, he has a best friend in the form of a demon king's spouse (he can get demonic plants and beast parts for medicinal treatments!), and he is now Less Stressed. everything is fine. absolutely everything is fine.

sy transmigrates into a qian cao disciple npc and mqf sighs once he realizes he has Another Problem.

I think MQF would have died a little bit on the inside but it's something he might expect SQQ to say.

Leading the poll was If you can't keep your own soulmate, stolen is fine.

In this fic, it's a completely normal peak lord meeting that is interrupted by a hole in reality ripping open and spitting out a limbless Shen Qingqiu(SJ). The SQQ of this world immediately goes to kill the doppelgänger only to be stopped by MQF and YQY who insist on healing the man and interrogating him for information.

When he wakes, SJ conducts his own intense interrogation to see if this is truly CQMS, the whole while his eyes keep shifting back to YQY. Both parties end up confirming that everyone is who they say they are and now suddenly there are two SQQ's on CQMS. And aside from the missing limbs, the other SQQ is notable for insisting that he's Yue-furen in his world.*

So now YQY has to deal with two SQQ's that want to kill each other, one of which is shameless about being all over him in public but rather shy in his affections in private, and the other that is suddenly on the verge of a qi deviation at all times.

SQQ of this world is drowning in vinegar and also plotting murder every time he hears the imposter call out for "Qi-ge." The metaphorical bricks are ready in his purse and he will not hesitate to attack a man that cannot defend himself for trying to take something that doesn't belong to him.

YQY gets to spoil and care for a XJ that wants him around, that miraculously shares their past and looks at him like he means something.

Yay! MQF in the modern world would be so much fun. I hope you do write it.

While it’s a different world, human biology seems similar enough between the two that MQF would certainly enjoy learning what discoveries this cultivation free world has made. MRIs, DNA, vaccinations, dialysis. It’s all so interesting!

Oh this idea tickles my fascination with anatomy and phisiology in just the right place that I need to make this happen!!!

Alternatively, I love the idea of Mu Qingfang being a lot like Bones from Star Trek the Original series, specifically these clips. Because he comes from a world where magical healing is a thing, herbs that can cleanse burns instantly, and so much more.

Mu Qingfang: Dialysis? My god, what is this, the dark ages? Mu Qingfang: Sounds like the god damn Spanish inquisition to me! Patient, Previously on Dialysis: [points and waves at Mu Qingfang] Patient: The doctor gave me a pill and I grew a new kidney!

There's no doubt he finds the imaging studies and blood work tests fascinating, but there are times where he looks at someone and says "I can fix this. Give me five minutes and a ground up claw from a four-eared snaggle-tooth rabbit."

Mu considers him for a moment. The sun makes his slate brown hair shine like steel, and Wei Wei wonders if he would be allowed to touch it, if he asked. It looks soft. 

“So Wei Wei is Shixiong’s actual name?” he asks.

Wei Wei clears his throat. 

“It is an honor to be named by Shizun, so yes. Of course. This one would not have offered a false name to Mu-shidi after Shidi helped this one.” 

Mu gives him a look that reminds Wei Wei of a blade wrapped in glossy silk; judgment barely hidden with polite pity. He feels his face grow hot with blush, and he tugs at the tassel of his sword, twisting it around one finger. 

“Perhaps it would be fitting to address Shixiong as Xiao-Wei then,” Mu mildly says, except there’s a glint of humor in his eyes, one that Wei Wei spots much the same way a magpie sees the shine of stolen goods. He can’t help but grin back, delighted to see that the other boy has a sense of humor, even if it's at his own expense. It’s dreadfully rare to find among the other peaks.

Now, of course! People have been getting pregnant and having babies for as long the world has been turning. It happens every day, everywhere, in a variety of ways.

But the universal truth is this: it's easier not to do it alone.

Airplane had briefly mentioned mpreg in PIDW as a little Easter egg, a gag for the fujoshis in his audience and to show that 'manly men' like LBH were so manly that they could get even other men pregnant.

(And a little for himself. For his self insert heart. For the little Fantasies he has about his favorite character)

He had never meant for it to be anything other than that. It was just a minor little detail. A glance and you'd miss it sentence. Just a book. Just a joke!

But goddamn it he wasn't laughing now.

He was pregnant.

Mu Qingfang was looking at him very sternly, clinically-- near judging him for it.

"Oops?" He said, trying to ease the tension that hung over them; break that heavy, judgemental look.

No luck.

"How long has shixiong been feeling these symptoms?"

Said symptoms were extreme fatigue, heavy nausea without vomiting, headaches and swollen, nigh tender, chest area.

"erm, about like, three to four months?"

The brush in MQF's hand snapped in half.

God... He knew it was a bad idea to come to the Healing Peak.

MQF didn't give a shit (None of his martial siblings ever did). He could still remember when he had broken his arm as a disciple and had come to Qian Cao for emergency aid. He could still remembered how callous everyone had been when resetting his bone. And then all but telling him to Go, rub dirt on it if it hurt and to grow up.

He had vowed to never come back. Nothing! Nothing less than dying would ever bring him back to this hellhole!

"Shixiong"

God, he shouldn't have broken his vow...

SQH couldn't bear the condescension. That little sigh of MQF's, how he talked to him like a child or a very dumb animal.

If it weren't for his kids threatening to riot, he would never have come.

"Well, if that's that, Shidi, I must get going!" He said, jumping to his feet, putting distance between himself and the Healing Peak Lord.

"What?"

"It's been lovely talking to you, Mu shidi. I'll keep in touch about your deliveries thru the kids and--"

"Wait!"

SQH put on his best, most subservient, costumer service smile and turned back to the other Peak Lord.

"Yes, Shidi?" He asked, slowly, deliberately, using every syllable as almost a sutra to abstain from his flight or fight response.

"You can't go, shixiong!" Wow. Where was that Coming from? "Your child... It is the ice demon's, Mobei Jun's, correct?"

SQH felt hackles at the back of his neck rise. There was deep protective urge bubbling at the pit of his stomach. What was Mu Qingfang doing, mentioning his king? What did he want with him?

And...

Was he doubting his king?

No.

For sure he was doubting SQH. Doubting that he was worthy of his king, that MBJ would ever feel attraction for someone like him...

Doubting their marriage. His loyalty to his king.

"...Yes." He answered through the teeth of his smile

God, he hated being here.

He hated being in any CQM Peak aside from his own.

He hated being any sort of brother to these people, to be made to be a family with people that didn't care for him. Who despised him. Belittled him.

Specially when he was ill.

Or, in this case, vulnerable.

He wasn't himself right now. SQH knew this. He could brush off the pity, the condescension, the scorn. He had lived thru it two times already. He was fine with it.

That was weird.

MQF was usually less... Concerned than that.

And MQF never argued about it before. Never pressed. Never cared.

Ok yall I need to propose a crack ship that I really like and yall can't make fun of me...Mu Qingfang and Zhuzhi-lang. OK BUT LISTEN ok. listen. This is slightly more than me just mashing the barbie dolls of two of my favorite characters together I SWEAR. Ok listen.

So Heavenly demon blood/powers are able to heal wounds and act as a panacea. And Mu Qingfang is a doctor. Need I say more? Yes? Well, you see, ZZL is very good at being second in command, and thus would make a fine medical assistant in the medical drama show that is probably MQF's every day life.

Usually I dont even ship crack ships, but something about scum villain makes them spawn in my brain and refuse to leave. Mu Qingfang is like one of my top five favorite scum villain characters and I'm not really sure why but I've decided he deserves the best, and since Zhuzhi-lang is my number on favorite, he is the best. Anyways please please please consider 🙏

I like MQF because he can be sassy and they can be sassy together and mujiu have a potential of doctor and patient to friends to lovers kind of trope. Slow burn is good! I love slow burns . Actually I did have an idea of mujiu back in 2022. I see mqf can be a kind and considerate boyfriend. Kinky. Sweet lover. Funny. 🥺

Hi! I personally love the potential of MQF being a doctor and have a chance to help heal SJ who is a patient (physically and emotionally ;3). Doctor X Patient trope is very interesting and I love the potential it can bring and how many tropes it can come with.

There is another Mujiu AU that is set in modern era, where SJ killed QJL in self defense and MQF would cover up for SJ because he’s a doctor and a son of a rich influential family ;3

To soothe your heart demons - one of my favorite headcannons (and the premise for a fic I had) is that sqh actually has a very strong and stable golden core. Like, yeah, okay, he’s not very good at fighting and all that. But that’s the point! People like lqg, yqy and sj push their limits exponentially, trying to be stronger, and suffer qi deviations for it. Their cores are large and quite powerful, yes, but also very vulnerable and prone to destabilization. If we’re talking about stability, sqh (and an ding peak disciples in general) is where it’s at. Years of using cultivation in slow, steady applications - bolstering strength for carrying things or running, using inedia in small bursts and qi to stay awake for overtime hours, healing small wounds given by bullying Bai Zhan peak disciples (or miscommunicating demon kings) rather than mortal wounds, meditation being the prioritized form of cultivation taught because it gives the body a rest - have given sqh a nearly unshakeable core. Inducing a qi deviation would be quite hard, and it’s almost impossible for him to develop one naturally.

(This goes hand-in-hand with the idea that sqh is actually a lot physically stronger than people think, too. You don’t run around and carry shit like that all the time without bulking up a bit. His ass is so fat and sexy because my boy be running STAIRS and getting them GLUTES.)

Anyway in true PIDW fashion this headcannon was half inspired by my need for lqg to have a sex pollen induced qi deviation that requires dual cultivation with a person who has a powerful golden core - but when everyone’s minds jump to sqq or yqy, mqf is like nah fam you gotta fuck sqh, that’s where it’s at. Cue general confusion and mystification all around.
