yandere! childhood friend who still reminisces about your childhood together. yeah, the two of you may be grown now but he's been your day 1 and he just can't help but think about how you used to cling to him and adore him so much! he wishes you'd still do that but it is what it is. no matter how much he wishes otherwise.
yandere! childhood friend who did everything with you. yeah, that also includes practicing kisses. he's your first kiss, and he's never gonna let you forget that. you said you wanted to get better and who is he to refuse? he can't pass up such a prime opportunity! and it's not like he wants anyone else to take it. god no. that would be a tragedy.
"yeah, remember our kissing practices? hah, we were such kids back then!" he watches as you snicker, feeling a warm flush creep up his spine. god, of course he remembers. young and immature as you both were, you both learned together. that's all that really matters to him. "thanks to you, i can now makeout with my partners with ease. you're the best man." and has he told you how muchit infuriates him that you're using your experience to get with others? to please them with the mouth that once touched his? nah, he really can't stand for it. but he isn't allowed to say anything. he's just a childhood friend after all. not for long though.
yandere! childhood friend who wishes he would've accepted your offer to learn how to fuck as well. but no, he just had to be way too delusional back then and tell you to wait for the right one. he must've thought that you'd feel the same and confess then he'd court you slowly before getting to that stage... that never happened unfortunately. not yet at least. he'll make it happen.
yandere! childhood friend who's still a hopeless romantic at heart. a delusional one but a romantic nonetheless. he brings you out on "platonic dates" or whatever the fuck you like to call it, comfort you after your shitty excuse of a partner dumps you, and treats you like the deity that you are. you only deserve the best and he'll be there to provide. none of these losers can't treat you well. he can. he really hopes it'll help you see him as a potential boyfriend!
"i just," you blow your nose, tears streaming down your cheeks as your childhood friend rubs at your back tenderly. "don't know why he'd want to dumo me! we've been going strong for a year already! it's so out of the blue!" yeah, out of the blue huh... not really out of the blue for someone who's been actively theeatening that poor excuse of a man. that menas him, obviously. why he's been threatening him, you ask? because he's not treating you the way you should be treated, duh! sure you look happy but are you really? probably not, he's sure of it. "hey hey, don't worry... I'm here now, aren't i?" he always is, and he always will. you just need to understand that fact and you'll start seeing him in a different light too. don't worry, he has lots of patience. just... don't go sleeping with other people again.
yandere! childhood friend who may or may not be totally super duper mega in love with you. yeah, definitely not in love with you. that would be weird, right? come on, he's your childhood friend! sure you two might've kissed when you were kids and promised to marry one another but those were kiddy promises! that's all they are! he... totally doesn't believe you actually wanna marry him and be his forever and ever.
"so have you started thinking about your future?" he pauses at your question, rubbing at his empty ring finger. future, huh? funny how you ask that when you two are destined to be together at the end of it all. i mean, the two of your promised it as kids, didn't you? sure you're exploring now but at the end if the day, it's him that you come back to, don't you? even if just as a friend. but that's the present, not the future. "nah, not really. just wanna focus on the current moment, y'know?" bullshit, and he knows it. but he doesn't wanna scare you away. not yet at least. you're still out lookign for others which means you haven't come round to the idea of you two together. not to worry, he'll give you a little more time to see how good he is. how good things could be between you two if you just gave him the chance. "i mean, you're here with me." he chuckles, taking your hand in his before placing it on his cheek. you're warm. he likes your warmth, it's so soothing. "that's more than enough for me." half lidded eyes gaze at you, full of emotion and hidden longing before he hums softly. the teo fo you sit in the park in silence, enjoying each other's presence. in the moonlight, everything seems to slow and engulf the two of you in a quiet embrace. he only wishes you would just love him back already. "yeah, I'm glad to be by your side too, best friend." ...he really hates those words. don't worry, good things come to those who wait. and you will be his in due time. you've already had his heart, now all he needs is yours.

⟡ ₊ . ༄.° postcards under the bed
pairing: dean winchester x reader synopsis: how dean became a part of reader's little family. tags/warnings: fluff, fwb, reader has custody of her 5yo niece wc: 1k a/n; your girl was craving fluff!!!
dean winchester masterlist ♡
when you and dean first started going out, you knew that he was always traveling and never really stayed in one spot for too long, which was more than fine with you; you were too busy working and taking care of your niece for a proper relationship, anyway.
so, whenever the man came back to kansas and you managed to get a babysitter, the two of you would get tangled up in your bedsheets for a night. until things started changing.
what started as dean calling you up when he was back in town slowly turned into him texting you when he was gone, asking you how you were doing and telling you he couldn't wait to see you, coming over as soon as he was back in kansas.
what started as dean coming straight to your place and almost immediately taking you to bed slowly turned into pots and pans clanging in the kitchen as he cooked you dinner while you simply watched him with a glass of wine on your hand, the man telling you all about whatever monster him and his brother had been hunting while he made you his so-called specialty.
what started as dean leaving before you had even woken up slowly turned into waking up to his snores, spending lazy mornings tangled in each other's arms while the two of you talked about everything and nothing in hushed voices, exchanging small, nearly feather-light kisses.
he started bringing you postcards from all the places they'd travel to, the back of them filled with chicken scratches about what they were hunting, and although he always gave them to you in person, he made sure to write your name on the lines meant for your address with what was dean's attempt at cursive, the shoe box under your bed soon filled with postcards from different places.
neither of you called it what it was; when sam queried dean about where he'd disappear off to the moment they got back from their cases he'd mumble something about 'going to see someone', and when your friends wondered who was the guy picking you up from your girls' night in the black impala you'd just shrug and grin before making your way outside, straight into the arms of the man leaning against the car.
"i'm gonna have to cancel tonight." you said into your phone, using your shoulder to hold it up to your ear as you used your hands to decorate a bunch of cupcakes.
"what? aw, come on." dean's voice rang out, "i got popcorn and sour patch kids, and you finally agreed to watch terminator with me. are you bailing on me because of that? because if you really want to, we can watch one of your chick-flicks. again."
you let out a small laugh and rolled your eyes, a small smile now lingering on your lips, "it's not that. my sitter has a fever and had to cancel. so instead of our planned explicit date night i'm gonna be playing board games with aurora."
"ah, damn." dean sighed on the other line, "i really wanted to see you, sammy and i are probably gonna be back on the road tomorrow, we found some vamps up in duluth."
"i'm sorry." you say with your lips turned down in a slight frown, "let's take a raincheck, 'kay? i should go get rory, i finished decorating our cupcakes."
"oh? what cupcakes did you make?"
"red velvet. they're her favorite."
dean let out a small chuckle before humming, "hey, i was thinking... if it's not a girls-only night... maybe i could join you."
"really?" you raised your brows, "you wanna spend the evening playing monopoly with me and my niece rather than, i don't know, go to some bar and spend the evening with some hot chick?"
"i mean, you do have cupcakes. and board games are no fun with just two people."
you hummed, your lips pursed as you thought about his suggestion for a moment, before swallowing, "yeah. you can join."
after that evening, it seemed like things changed all over again.
dean no longer texted to ask you how you were, or to tell you how much he wanted to see you. he no longer cooked for you while you got to relax. you no longer woke up next to him. you didn't receive postcards addressed to you.
instead, he'd call you, checking in on you and aurora, saying how much he couldn't wait to see both of you again. he cooked for you while you were busy coloring with your niece. by the time you woke up, led zeppelin was blasting in the kitchen and the entire house smelled of pancakes, and when you got up, you'd see aurora dancing clumsily while dean was making pancakes. and the postcards were no longer addressed to you, but to you and aurora, and instead of ending up hidden under your bed, they were displayed on the fridge, until you no longer had enough magnets.
you were laid on dean's chest, your fingers drawing slight patterns on his skin, until his own hand came to stop you, bringing your hand to his warm lips, pressing a kiss on it.
"what are you thinking about?" he asked against your skin, and you looked up at him, wondering if you should tell dean what you were really thinking about or just brush him off. but the look in his eyes was reassuring, almost pleading you to tell him what was on your mind.
you took a deep breath before locking eyes with him, chewing on your lower lip, slightly anxious about what he was going to think.
"i don't think i can live without you."
dean's eyes widened slightly in surprise, before he let out a soft chuckle, the feeling of his breath on your hand causing shivers to run down your spine. he let go of your hand and moved his hand to your cheek, and you almost automatically brought your face closer to his.
"that's good, sweetheart, because i don't think i can live without you, either."

intoxicated conversations
hamzahthefantastic x reader
description: after finding out you've decided to move back to the states following your break up, hamzah indulges even more in the satisfaction of weed. surrounding the comfort within all the pain it gives him, he decides he needs more than what the drug can give him.
mentions: angst, weed/drug use, angsty love confession, slight argument, dialogue-heavy, hurt/comfort, happy ending, she/her pronouns, kinda toxic and possessive hamzah, kinda toxic reader, sfw!
supermodel by sza
--
the break-up was as painful as jumproping on broken shards of glass.
the relationship was short-lived, as if it died within the first moments it was bloomed. words were left unsaid as if your relationship was a letter that was never sent; a letter that got lost in the mail and lost in translation between the two of you. the exchange of "i love you" simply never happened, which kept you both dwelling on the possibility of a future. calendars were marked with red ink on dates you were supposed to go out, half of them being crossed off and rescheduled throughout the span of the year you dated.
you wanted to say the three words that could have fixed the relationship; in fact, you craved it as much as a cannibal craves the flesh of a fresh human. in a way, hamzah was your flesh and you desired to taste as much of him as you could. however, humans aren't meant to know how another human tastes, not like that; at least, that's what you thought. fear drove you apart, however, resentment accompanied the panic that rose in your heart each time you felt like telling him how you truly felt about him. arguments began to arise after every conversation; it soon became tiring to talk to each other.
eventually, the fire grew cold, the ice decided to melt, and the relationship felt more like a dead plant that the both of you decided to water at different, separate times. you ended things with him, leaving a painful gap in your heart where he once resided in. with his absence came the presence of a lonelier, melancholy emotion that you always seemed to feel. though you tried blaming it on the fact that it was always raining and cold and that you were probably deficient in vitamin d, you knew in your heart that it was because you regretted ending things with him instead of talking yourselves through it. running away from your problems, you decided to run away from the specific problem at hand; you decided to move back to the states.
--
hamzah was currently on a facetime call with martin and mandy, bewildered at the information that just came out of mandy's mouth so nonchalantly.
"she's what?" hamzah's eyes widened, picking up his phone from leaning on his pc.
mandy sighed, "i tried talking her out of it, but she's so set on going."
"well, where's she moving to?"
"back to california. she said something about 'needing vitamin d'" or some bullshit excuse," mandy began to type on her macbook.
martin decided to interrupt the tense air with his usual personality shining through, "should we go get pizza tonight, gang?"
"wait, mandy," hamzah interrupted as he ignored martin, "are you upset over her moving?"
"i'm upset at both of you, right now."
hamzah threw his hands up in defense, "what'd i do?"
"you guys decided to just break up as if it's as simple as that- as if it would get rid of all the memories and feelings and-"
"i'm gonna stop you right there- what do you mean 'you guys?' she broke up with me."
martin interrupted, once again, "well, did you fight for her?"
hamzah was genuinely puzzled, as if the concept of fighting for someone was foreign to him, "what?"
"like," martin continued, "when she brought up breaking up with you, did you even try to convince her not to?"
"well, no-"
mandy egged on, "that's what i mean by 'you guys.' you guys decided to just end things when it got hard."
"i'll be fine," hamzah lied, "we never ever said 'i love you.'"
martin shrugged, "just because you never said it, doesn't mean it wasn't there."
--
hamzah's lie caught up with him in the middle of the night in the way that grief catches up to a mourner as the light shines on their tears. though he's slightly ashamed of it, he kept a bottle of your perfume after you both went your separate ways. spraying it onto his pillow, he inhaled the familiar scent and began to feel his body relax. the mere remembrance of you also reminded him of your forthcoming absence.
still inhaling your scent of his pillow, guiltily, he took out the cart hidden in his drawers. he told himself he'd try to quit, yet, it felt like a good time to bring it out once more. smoke filled the air in front of him as he took a long drag out of the mouthpiece and allowed himself to feel everything around him: the relapsing, the smoke in the air, the presence of your perfume, and the absence of your body.
one hit turned into two, as two somehow multiplied into four, and hamzah was absolutely blasted. he didn't even realize that, somehow, his legs were picking himself off of his chair and was now leading him out of the door. eventually, he felt his hands put his car keys in the ignition and start. he didn't know where he was going; he simply let the intoxication take control of his body as his mind floated elsewhere.
--
it was 9:00 at night as you heard a knock on the wooden door. getting up from taping boxes closed, you looked through the peephole to make sure there wasn't a maniac only being separated from you by the door in front of you. you weren't sure if your eyes were fooling you, or if it was your desires deceiving you once again and taking you away in a drunken state, but you were 99% sure that it was hamzah. taking the risk, you decided to open the door, revealing his half-lidded and ruby eyes, accompanying his swaying body.
your eyebrows furrowed, "hamzah?"
"hey," he sounded slightly drunken off of substance, "can i sleep here for the night? i don't want to be alone."
"what-"
"just on the couch. please."
you noticed the state he was in and didn't want to leave him to drive home, "okay."
helping him into your house, you helped him lay on the couch. you helped put a blanket, which you got from underneath your couch, over his shivering body. though you were about to leave to go to your room after mumbling a goodnight, he grabbed your hand.
"stay."
you blinked, not knowing if you heard him right, "what?"
he pulled you slightly closer, "just stay. talk to me a little. how've you been?"
"maybe we should wait until you're sober, hamzah, i don't-"
"no, it has to be now. if i'm sober, i won't be able to talk."
"what do you mean?" you questioned, getting comfortable on the couch
he lightly scoffed, "don't worry about it- just stay here and talk to me. answer my question."
"what question?"
he began to play with your fingers, "how've you been?"
"i've been okay."
his eyes opened as wide as they could, "are you lying to me?"
"uh, no- no, i'm not-"
"y'know," he rested his head on your thigh and gazed up at you, "you've always been a horrible liar."
"hamzah."
"are you mad at me? i'm sorry."
a pang of guilt entered your chest, "no, hamzah- i'm not mad at you. i just think you should go to bed. it's late and you're not in the right state to be talking to me or, honestly, even being here."
"you opened the door for me."
"what?"
"you opened the door. you looked through the peephole and saw me and you still opened the door. why?"
"because i didn't want you to be driving in the middle of the night in this state."
he crossed his arms, "well, i drove here. i can drive back if you want," he says as he began to get up.
"no," you laid him back down on the couch, "it's okay. you can stay. we can talk tomorrow."
"but-"
you got up from the couch, "goodnight, hamzah."
--
the next morning came shortly after you fell asleep. expecting a familiar face on your couch, you were surprised when your apartment seemed empty. looking throughout each room, decorated with boxes, you couldn't find hamzah anywhere. you, then, felt a vibration in your pocket.
hamzah
10:07 am | hey, thanks for letting me stay with you. i'm sorry that i crashed your apartment. i didn't mean to and it won't happen again.
you
10:08 am | oh its np. ur good.
--
except, it did happen again a couple of days later. once again, as you were packing boxes with miscellaneous decorations found in the space around you, you heard another knock on your door. mimicking your actions from the first time he knocked, you looked through the peephole and opened the door once you realized how red and glossy his eyes were.
"i'm horrible."
confused, you simply allowed him to come in and helped him sit down on your couch again, "what's the matter?"
"i said i wouldn't do this again and here i am. i'm sorry."
in all honestly, you pitied how hurt he seemed; you didn't know why and you didn't want to take advantage of his drunkenness. yet, you were also somewhat selfish in the situation. you wanted to know why he kept on showing up at your apartment high. is he manipulating you? is he aware that you would always open your door to him if he was intoxicated? you needed to know.
"hamzah," you held his hand and softly asked, "why do you keep coming here like this?"
"i dunno. you'll have to ask me another time."
you sighed, "is this just gonna keep happening?"
"i dunno. your apartment looks empty."
in the midst of him showing up, you almost forgot that you only had a couple of days to pack everything up, "oh, yeah. just- y'know, getting rid of some stuff."
"martin told me you were moving."
"he did?"
"him and mandy."
you lightly rubbed the veins on his hand with your thumb, "hamzah, i won't be here after three more days. i need you to remember that when you're sober. i'll even text you it because this place will be empty."
you waited patiently for a response, realizing after five minutes that he fell asleep with his head on top of you. trying your best to balance out your leg with a pillow, you managed to get up without waking him. taking a blanket and putting it onto him, once again, you left the room.
--
the next morning, like always, he was gone. this time, you decided to text him.
you
11:42 am | hi, hamzah. i just wanted to let ur know that i'm not mad at u for coming over when ur high, but i won't be in this apartment after thursday. if u wanna get high and come over again, u got like 2 more days lol

12:24 pm | it's like i get high and then i just
12:24 pm | lose control of everything im doing lol
12:25 pm | i would say that it wont happen again but i cant promise anything
you liked the message right after he said it, as another message was waiting to be sent in the text message box on his phone.
12:25 pm | i'm sure it'll happen again
12:25 pm | i miss you
yet, the messages were highlighted and deleted.
--
moving day came quickly without a visit from hamzah and you were upset. though he wasn't sober, you missed simply hearing his voice. you missed how he looked at you with glistening eyes, adoration still laced in the stares he gave you as he was laying on your lap. you felt horrible about missing him; he was only coming over as drugs poisoned his body, mindset, and sense of judgement, yet, you simply liked seeing him.
your apartment was now empty and you were sitting on the floor, taking in the fact that you were genuinely leaving. you knew you could back out of your lease at any moment if you wanted to. your stuff was in the moving van downstairs, so it wasn't like this had to be a permanent decision. for someone so adamant on leaving, the change of heart almost gave you whiplash. hamzah entered your life with a plague and, somehow, you were refusing treatment. you sat on the cold, hardwood floor, rethinking your decisions, as another knock was heard from the other end of the door.
this time, you didn't want to let him in. he wouldn't let you leave if he did. you would see the pain in his eyes that he's so desperately trying to get out with the weed he's been smoking, and you would let him in. this time there was no couch to sleep on. there was no boxes to question about. there was nothing there. you heard a muffled voice come from the door you were staring at.
"i'm sober, i swear. let me in, please."
--
you and hamzah sat on the floor together in silence. a part of you was afraid of listening to him. if anyone was able to convince you to stay, it'd be him. yet, another part of you was begging for him to convince you to stay. internally, you were a seesaw that was constantly imbalanced with different weights on each side.
"hamzah, i can't just sit here- i have to leave soon and-"
"i love you."
your eyes widened as your heart began to beat quicker, almost as if your heart was a ticking time bomb that those three words became the detonating trigger. you finally made eye contact with him, as his eyes were already on yours. this time, for the first time in the past couple of times you've seen him, his eyes were normal. there was no hint of red in them and no glossiness. he wasn't tipsy and you didn't have to help him figure out where the floor was or where your furniture went. this time, he couldn't sober up and leave.
"you decided to tell me this now, as i'm leaving? hamzah, what the fuck is wrong with you?" your voice raised slightly louder, "you waited until the final fucking day that i was here for you to tell me that?"
"i've been wanting to say it ever since we started dating. i was scared-"
"you don't think i'm scared? i'm fucking terrified. y'know, i almost moved to a whole fucking country just to get away from my problems and then i- suddenly, i just realize that you were the fucking problem this whole time! are you serious, hamzah?" you noticed a grin appear on his face, "oh, you're smiling? what the fuck are you smiling about? what could possibly make you happy in this moment. i'm literally yelling at you for being a genuine dumbass-"
"you said almost."
the anger you felt dissipated as confusion took over your emotions and facial features, "what?"
"i 'almost' moved to a whole fucking country. you said 'almost,' that means you're not going to."
"no-"
you wished you could slap that stupid smirk off his face, "no, you're going to stay. you said 'almost.' you never wanted to move- you were waiting for me to say it, weren't you?"
your jaw slightly dropped for a moment; you didn't even realize that your subconscious peeked through your anger, "no, that's not-"
"i love you."
"hamzah, stop-"
"i fucking love you."
the two of you suddenly became closer than you were, interlocking lips as if they were hands that were molded together. the nostalgia took over any sense of judgement you previously had, including the anger that you previously felt for him. for someone who wanted to run away from their problems, their problem being hamzah, you gave into what your subconscious truly wanted fairly easily. it, somehow, isn't surprising that you decided to kiss the problem. mid-kiss, it suddenly dawned on you that perhaps you were also the problem. you both decided not to speak, which was on the both of you. he pulled away, fixing your hair for you and kissing your cheek before speaking again.
"you let me in. you looked through your door and, each time i came over, you let me in. you can say whatever you want about me. you can say i'm a fucking dumbass. you can call me an asshole for coming here over and over again and fucking with your head without realizing. i even apologize for that," he kissed your forehead, "but my point is: you can say all of that, and somehow not hate me."
"i don't hate you, hamzah. i never said i did-"
"when martin said you were moving, the first thing i did was spray the perfume i stole from you onto a pillow. then, i smoked so much of my pen that the battery died both times i came over. i need you here. i thought i needed a place to crash whenever i get high and lonely-"
"really, hamzah?"
"let me finish before you get mad. no, i didn't need that. i need you here. do you know how fucking hurt i was after i found out from mandy that you were leaving before i even had the chance to fix things? you think i'd let you just leave without me trying to get you to stay first?"
you sighed, "you let me leave when i left you."
"and look at where that got me. baby, i'm a mess without you. i don't care about anything anymore. there are times where i just sit in bed all day and mope about you because letting you go was the worst mistake i've ever made in my entire life. i can't just let you leave again- not after knowing where that left me the first time. i need you back. i'll do anything. i'll beg for your forgiveness, just- please. stay."
"what do you mean by 'stay?'"
"let me fix things. let me make things better. i'll fight for you," he placed his hands on your shoulders, "i'll say the things you can't say. i'll do the things you can't do on your own. i'll do it- i'll do all of it. please. stay."
your voice got as soft as a whisper, "where would i stay?"
"with me. stay with me."
he pulled your chin towards his lips and kissed you gently, once more.
"i love you. stay."
you interlocked your hand with his, as you sat together on the floor of your old apartment.
"help me move my stuff?"

Toothbrush ლ
FEATURING : Reo Mikage, Kunigami Rensuke, Isagi Yoichi, Yukimiya Kenyu, and Nagi Seishiro
ABOUT : You're relationship was like into the point of "What are we?" type. Leaving your toothbrush at their place was their last straw.
note : got really busy because of uni.. But enjoy!!
❥・• Reo Mikage
— Reo was peacefully sleeping on his bed with only boxers on. You, as a cheeky person woke up early and prepped up and slowly left his room, leaving a letter on the pillow you used when you slept next to him.
— Time Skip —
Reo soon opens his eyes, as the sun hits his Iris. He turns to his side, expecting you to be there, but it was an empty spot, leaving Reo sulking.
"She's always like this. Does she even know what are we? Or has she not decided yet..." Reo asked himself, as he sat up from laying in bed. Then he turned to the spot you slept in and saw your letter.
Hey plum head~ I enjoyed last night, I went out early, got some errands to do, see you again anytime ;)
"Tch- reasons." Reo just threw your letter back to his bed and went in to the bathroom to freshen up.
He picked up a toothbrush, as he was gonna start brushing his teeth, he paused and scanned the toothbrush he was holding, it wasn't his..
It was yours.
"Fuck this." He placed your toothbrush and went to grab his phone back in his bedroom, and dialed your number.
...
"Hello? Hey plum head! You called?"
"Fuck this shit, come back here, right. now."
You felt shivers down your spine at his tone "Woah there, what happened? I'm coming back tomorrow to return your sweater dumbass" you teased "No. Now."
You went silent in the end of the line.
"What are we.." He suddenly added.
"What are we? Uhm... Friends?" You awkwardly replied.
"Friends don't do what we do, baby come back please and let's sleep all day. I have enough with this shit." He sighed. Your stomach felt a tingle "B-but I—"
"You left your toothbrush here. Are there other reasons not to come back right now?"
"HUH? I DID? SHIT" You slightly panicked and ended the call.
And a few minutes then, you immediately arrived. "That was quick" Reo smirked as he was sitting on the edge of his bed, still with only boxers on "I- uhm.. Hi?" You said as you slowly took off his sweater.
You got startled as he suddenly stood up and carried you in bridal style and threw you in bed "HEY! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?"
"Stay. I had enough. Everytime I wake up in the morning I couldn't see that ravishing face of yours." He said as he suddenly kissed you "Now, answer me. What are we?"
You just stared at him filled with love in your eyes, and kissed him back, Reo was stunned.
"Guess.. Plum head."
❥・• Kunigami Rensuke
— Kunigami woke up and was about to hug you but, you were no longer there. "The heck?" He said with a bit if frustration in his tone. He sat up and spaced out for a moment and sighed.
"This woman sure knows how to play with me" He let out a cackle, and shook his head as he went to the bathroom.
He then saw your toothbrush. He just scoffed, grabbed his phone and took a picture both of your toothbrushes.
Rensuke : [ sent a photo ] Cute, like a married couple.
As he was about to put his phone down to brush his teeth, he heard a notification from his phone
You : [ HUH— I LEFT MY TOOTHBRUSH?! JUST GREAT- I'm so sorry T-T I'll get it back this Friday ]
Rensuke : [ Nah, now. Let's brush our teeth together ]
You : [ You gotta be fr- ]
Rensuke : [ Sent a photo ] In a few seconds imma dump this in the toilet >:) ]
He noticed you left him on seen, probably so pissed by the situation, he laughed. "That should do the trick."
— Time Skip —
As he finished showering, he suddenly heard someone barging on the door "KUNIGAMI RENSUKE! GET OUT THIS INSTANT!" He chuckled.
"Well it did work" He smirked, as he got out from the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around him "Wha— HEY!! GO CHANGE THE HECK?" He suddenly pounced you, leaving you laying in bed while he was hovering over you.
"Why do always leave me hanging like this.." He spoke as you two had a heavy eye contact "What do you mean?" You got startled as he suddenly kissed you "That."
Your lips suddenly went apart, not knowing what to say. "What are we... I don't want to be like this any longer... The toothbrush was my last straw." He cried.
"I love you!!" You suddenly screamed in his face, leaving him speechless.
"I love you okay!! Damn it.. I thought we're just gonna be friends, I guess we levelled up" You chuckled. He soon scooped you into a hug, and kissed you again.
"FINALLY!! WOOOO!! I CAN FINALLY CONFIRM I AM NO LONGER SINGLE!!" Both of you laughed while still laying in bed.
❥・• Isagi Yoichi
— Isagi woke up as he slowly went to the bathroom being unbothered. But then, he saw your toothbrush next to his. Staring at it for a while, then gasped as he realized.
"SHIT.." Was the word that first came out from his mouth. He quickly went back to the bedroom and saw the bed empty.
"You got to be kidding me.." He grabbed his phone and called you.
"C'mon, pick up the phone..."
...
"Hello? Yoichi?"
He gulped for a second before responding to you at the end of the line. "Where are you..?" He waited for you to reply. "Uhm.. Back home?"
"Oh c'mon, I feel so dumb right now.. Can you come back? It's always like this... You left your toothbrush here"
"Oh shit- REALLY? Can you bring it over?" You pleaded "I could, but I will not." He replied "AW— WHY? Just because it's "only" a toothbrush?"
"I want you to come back here, baby." You went silent.
"B-baby...?! Yoichi.. What's got into you?" "Why stuttering? I said what I said. Now come back, your baby needs you" You sighed "I guess it's time.." You ended the call.
"Huh? Time—?" You left Isagi dumbfounded at what you said.
— Time Skip —
"Yoichi..." You arrived as he stood immediately from bed "PLEASE PLEASE" He suddenly hugged you "Please, don't leave like that next time... You do this every single time..."
"But I thought we're just friends?" You tried to confirm "Do friends kiss each other at night? Make out at nigh—"
"OKAY OKAY I GET IT" You groaned as you stared at Isagi, looking back at you with his boba eyes. "What are we..."
"Okay, maybe I do love you.." "Only maybe?"
"I do. Love you. Yoichi." You sighed, but smiled. "There I said it."
Isagi gave you a peck on the lips "I love you too.. FINALLY I CAN GET TO SAY THAT" He pulled you back to his bed.
"Yoichi... Can you let go— you know what, nevermind, let's rot ourselves in bed the whole day" He hummed as he agreed with your idea. In which you two had closed your eyes and went back to sleep.
❥・• Nagi Seishiro
— Nagi woke up so late, he soon started to stretch his body, but instantly got up from bed because of his leg cramps from stretching.
"Ouch! Ouch!" He groaned. He lazily yawned once again and turned to see an empty space next to him.
"She's gone. Again." He sighed, he stood from his bed and went to the bathroom.
As he was still half asleep, he grabbed your toothbrush by mistake, he noticed beforehand. "This isn't mine.." He paused for a few minutes, he stared at his reflection in the mirror for a while.
"IT'S HERS.." His energy soon boosted through the roof, trying to find his phone. It took him a couple of minutes to notice his phone fell at the corner of his bed, "shit."
He soon tried to call you but didn't respond, leaving him pouting in bed. "She always leaves me like this.." He sighed.
— Time Skip —
You soon decided to return at Nagi's place with a bunch of foods from the convenience store, only to see Nagi laying in bed, staring at the ceiling with zero thoughts.
"Uh... Shiro? Hello? Yoohoo!! Brought breakfast for us— HEY!" He suddenly pulled you back to bed.
"Don't scare me like that again... Leaving without a trace..." He hugged you tightly.
"Uhm.. Shiro you okay? Has something bumped your head? Or are you just hungry?" You asked.
"What are we?" Your eyes widened as he asked the question so randomly "What?"
"I don't need to repeat it.. You heard what I said.." He stared at you blankly. "C'mon. Before I could say something crazy.."
"I.. I.."
"I love you." He whispered.
You froze, "Shiro..." "I love you. Don't leave me again like that please. I'm too lazy to wake up early, please don't leave without me noticing.."
You laughed "Shiro, you're so cute.." You gave him a kiss on the forehead "So was that an 'I love you too'? Hmm?" You chuckled.
"Well, I love you too..." You awkwardly reply "We're official now, you're mine now!" He cuddled you tightly in bed, leaving you feel ticklish. "SHIRO STOP!! IT'S TICKLISH!!" You couldn't stop laughing.
"Leave your toothbrush here so that everyone will know that my future wife is living with me."
"Toothbrush? HUH? I LEFT IT HERE?! "Shh... Let's go back to sleep.." He said as he laid your head in his chest, in which you felt warmth and slowly drifted to sleep, and Nagi lazily spoke with his chasmic voice.
"You can always leave a toothbrush at my place baby."
End.

Chloe was only in the shower for only two seconds before she recognized the tone in Lucifer's voice. Anxiety and failure? Guilt? Not to mention the sad puppy eyes that she knew he couldn't do voluntarily. All because she got squirrely over a few words. She quickly came back out wrapped in a towel and sat on the edge of the bed on Lucifer's side and took his face in her hands and pressed her lips to his. Then she gave him a quick kiss and then kissed his forehead.
"I'm sorry," she said, pulling back. "I know you were joking. I know how you feel about me. I just....I've never actually shared a shower with anyone.....I mean, I tried once with Dan, but then he slipped and fell on me and managed to pull the curtain and rod down, too- don't it's too easy.- so, I never tried again...but, you can totally come in with me. If you want. I don't wanna push you. That being said, I'm gonna go back in. Feel free to join. Or not. Up to you. Although, I wouldn't mind trying again. I mean, if I'm going to try again with anyone, it should be you, right?"
Once again, she didn't wait for him to answer as she went back into the bathroom, ditched the towel, and got back into the shower, her pulse racing due to how fast she moved from the bed to here. She neglected to tell Lucifer that the rod fell on HER and gave her a mild concussion. She was nervous about him seeing her naked. Yes, he'd seen it twice before. But, the first time, she was nineteen in a stupid movie. The second time was three years ago and it was only for a few seconds. He didn't see the stretch marks from when she was pregnant or her bullet scar from when Jimmy Barnes shot her. But, it was probably better to get it over with. So, she waited, hoping he'd take her up on her shower invite, even though her back would be turned to him when he came in. IF he comes in.
@lucifermorningstxr
After everything that had happened in the last nine months, compounded with the tremendous turnaround the partners had performed tonight, Lucifer was taken a bit off guard by the fact that another turn for the worst could take place at the eleventh hour. Then again, he wasn't always the slickest with his words. Still, he'd say even more in an effort to save whatever it was that was going wrong. "No! No... it was a joke, Detective!" He propped himself up, looking at his human with a concerned daze. "I didn't mean to say anything wrong... I don't really know what I said."
That probably wasn't the right thing to say right now either, but Lucifer wasn't exactly renowned for his self-awareness. Rather, he was tripping over his own Luciferness, as it were, trying to make something good out of something... confusing. The whole situation wasn't turning out great, but when Chloe said she didn't think they should shower together, he knew he'd really messed up. Showering together was the hallmark of a successful night, but apparently, tonight wasn't so successful after all. In an effort to preserve whatever the partners had left, he simply nodded and looked up at her from his position on the bed. "Right... very well, Detective." Not a lie, but not a happy truth.
Regardless of everything, the whirlwind of emotions stirred by the updating evening, Lucifer maintained his desire to stay. Chloe's plea only reaffirmed that his presence was at least somewhat still desired in return, and so he nodded from his spot amongst the sheets. "I'm not going anywhere, Detective. If you need help... with anything... I'm here. I really am here." To stay. The silent part should've been said out loud too, but given the circumstance, how could he be certain it wasn't the wrong thing to say too?
Maybe it was true. Maybe Lucifer would always ruin everything he touched. But maybe, just maybe, if he could keep at it, he could fix it too. He'd never stuck around long enough to try, but even if he misspoke a million ways to Sinday, one thing was damned certain: he'd stay this time.

Sheriff Grayson 🎀🎀🎀
Okay, I kinda wanna write Grayson fics, would you guys be into that? Okay, I'm just gonna keep writing police mommy
Warning: Slight Smut. Marcus. Can't tell the difference between colleague and coworker. barely proofread
🚫Men and Minors DNI🚫
You are a Junior officer that just graduated a couple months ago. You work as an enforcer now in Grayson's department, and you try your hardest not to look at her too long, or study her facial features, her body, the way she walks, the way she talks— yeah, you're kind of obsessed. You had a huge crush on her, the first time you guys met. She welcomed you, and her being the sheriff, she was often the one telling you what to do, and she's kind enough to teach you what you don't know. And boy, do you love it.
Every 'Hi' every 'goodmorning' every smile, and wave she sends you, you just feel like you have a mini heart attack right then and there. You try your best not to get your feelings in the way, however, since sheriff grayson was just very professional, and very kind. 'She's 40+ goddammit! Get a hold of yourself' you scream internally.
You kept that crush to yourself, though, not even telling your closest friends, and coworkers about it, when they ask if you have eyes for anyone at the department. Of course, as a professional-unprofessional, you just laugh, and point to a random person, and say "Hmmm, that, right there, they're pretty hot" and move on with your day. You were pretty easy on the eyes too, some of your colleagues, mainly Marcus had a huge crush on you, but you prefer women, but that didn't stop him from trying and hitting on you though. He often asks you for drinks sometimes after your shift was over, which you took upon once in awhile, as long as you had company, but when it's just you two, you decline.
Grayson was the only one you had eyes on anyways. But, you're probably not her type, you being young and unexperienced and all. But you do appreciate her kindness towards you, often, when Marcus hits on you during work hours, she's scold him, and tell you to just ignore him. Or when you have no clue what to do, she'll just assign you to do something easier. She'd offer to buy you lunch, when you'd overwork yourself too much, and she hears your stomach grumble too much. But you'd often decline since you don't want to abuse your sheriff's kindess too much, and you're not really used to someone caring like that, let alone your crush. So you'd just blush, and tell her "Oh, thank you, but really, I'm fine" You say, avoiding her gaze.
She chuckles, with her deep voice, you can hear it vibrate to be honest. You can see her adams apple, everytime she talks, and you find that so hot. "Nonsense. I insist, please, let me buy you lunch." When you politely decline again, she stands up and smile at, and then walk away. About half an hour later, you just came back drom using the bathroom, you find a paper bag on your desk, with a note that writes "I'm sorry for blatantly disobeying your wishes right noe, but you truly need something to eat. I asked some of your friends what food you like, so I got you this. 💕–G" and all you could do was cover your cheeks, and feel your face getting hotter and hotter. You try to hide your blush, and your smile, by sitting down quickly, and you try to find her, and you see her looking at you through the glass of her office, while she was talking with someone. She winks at you, and continues to talk, and all you could do was mouth a small 'Thank you' and open your lunch to see your favourite food in it. At this point your face was burning up, and your colleagues ask if you were doing alright, but you quickly answered– "Yep!" They chuckle, and you eat your lunch there, savoring the taste, and you keep looking at the note Grayson wrote you. You put it under your desk, to keep in with you forever.
This went on for awhile, and every time, you offer to pay her back, but she firmly declines. "No, I truly insist. I do this on my own accord, this isn't a debt, it's just my way of showing you kindness" She smiles, and rejects your offer to pay her back with money, and walks away, before you could even come up with an argument. You start giving back, though. You often bake for the whole precinct when you had time, but this time, you made some custom muffins for Grayson that you know she loves. She doesn't like it too sweet, so you just add more fruit, and less sugar, and you sneak it in her office once in awhile with a note that only contains a "❤️ -(your initial)" Each day, you crush for her was blossoming, but with that, you know that that's the only place your feelings would go. You know she only thinks of you as something platonic anyways, and you try your best to hide your blushes everytime you interact with her. It's just her face, and her neck when she talks, her eyes when she looks at you, that smug smile, and how good she looks in uniform that drives you insane.
One day, you finally arrested the guy on your case for months, and the whole precincts congratulated you. Marcus proposed drinking for the night, and everybody, except Grayson tagged along. "You kids go, I must stay here to finish off my paper work. With my age, do you really think I'm missing out on that much?" She convinces, but you feel a little sad she's not coming with you. But you try not to let it linger on your mind for too long. It was a huge achievement for you, and she did buy you your favourite candied apples for lunch that day, with a note that said "Congratulations! – G" and you kept that note in your wallet for the night.
You, and your colleagues went to the bar, and you drank all night long in celebratory for your biggest achievement yet. Your face was now red, and you were getting notably buzzed, and your body was relaxed, the tension gone, and your words slurred a little bit, and you were just over all just carefree. Your coworkers seemed to be a little tipsy too. You were just all laughing together, and Marcus seemed to fall asleep right then and there, he always asked for drinks, yet he can never hold his alcohol well.
You were buying another round when your co worker suddenly asked "So who do you like?" And you paused for a bit, and you just blinked at her. "I already told you that" You chuckle, and she laughs at you "Yeah, but we both know that's bullshit, so who is it?" You sigh, and finally tell them. "Fine, but, keep your mouths shut everyone... Grayson" They all audibly gasped, surprised, and they all hit your shoulder and laughed. "Grayson?! As in Sheriff Grayson?!" You feel your face burn up again, and you try to hide your face, they were laughing. When they finally calmed down, they hit you again, but this time, it's a lot more calmer. "Don't worry, we get it. We'll keep our mouths shut. Just don't tell mister sleepy head right there" She gestures over a drunk Marcus eith his head down, and they laugh at him.
The night goes smoothly, and you all had to go home. They left, and took marcus home, and you called a cab and went home.
The next day, when you went to work, everybody had hangovers. Everyone, but Marcus. He was looking at you with disgust, and you squint at him to make sure you were seeing right. He looked down on you, he spits, and turns away. You are notably confused, and you ask one of your coworkers that you were with last night. "What's up with him?" You ask them, and they looked oddly nervous, and they were choking alot. You're getting kind of angry at this point "Spit it out." They choke, and blink, and just point at him whispering something to Grayson. You didn't get it at first, but you finally realized what he was doing.
You look absolutely mortified, your face full of betrayal, as Grayson just looks at you for awhile. You both just made eye contact, her eyes going wide, when she finally broke it. 'That's it. I'm getting fired.' You look at your coworker, and demand answers. How could they betray you like this, you ask with tears in your eyes. They say sorry, and explain that last night, when you were all drunk, turns out Marcus was still awake. And heard EVERYTHING. At this point you juat wanted to get swallowed by the earth. You felt like shit. She wasn't supposed to know. Everything was going so well. "W-we're sorry, Y/n. We didn't know." They say trying to comfort you, but you just coldly brush them off. You feel like shit. You know it was your fault for telling them in the first place. they weren't supposed to know. And now it was out.
You were quiet the whole day, the whole week even. Grayson has been bringing you anymore lunch, and she wasn't talking or calling you into her office anymore. When you come across her, she just looks the other way. She doesn't smile, or say 'Hi' to you anymore, when you come in for work. Marcus had finally gotten the hint you just weren't into him, and he stopped trying to flirst with you. Often, he'd just point and laugh, at how pathetic you are, and try your best to ignore him as much as you can.
Till a couple weeks later. You were still quiet, and not talking to anyone else by now. You started to work even harder, just constantly overworking yourself now that you can't trust anyone in the precinct. You bury yourself in paperwork. If you're not doing that, you often just guard, and patrol through the city. Anything to keep your mind away from Grayson.
You can't help it, even when she's ignoring you, she's effortlessly intoxicating.
One rainy night, you were working overtime, trying to finish all your paper work at once since, tomorrow was a weekend, you don't want to have anything on your mind, other than relax at home, and get a drink. By the time you finished, you noticed officer Grayson in her office fixing her things, getting ready to leave. You quickly run out, to make sure you don't go home the same time as her, to avoid any awkward situations, so you run to the door.
It was pouring. You didn't have an umbrella. The one time it rains, the only time you didn't bring an umbrella with you. You were just standing right outside the door, to keep yourself from getting wet. You sigh, and sit on a chair, and wait for the rain to stop. You hear sheriff Grayson walk out the door, cursing under her breath, when she saw how strong the rain, and winds are. You tried your best to look away, and you reached to your pocket, and light a cigarette. She just stands there, across from you, and you notice she's looking at you.
You hear her chuckle. You look to the side, to see she's smiling right at you. You shyly smile back, and she softly opens her mouth "You know, smoking is bad for you my dear" She says, as she crosses arms and shakes her head. You look down, and take a long drag on your cigarette, and blow smoke to the other side. "Yeah, but, these past few weeks have been... Shitty." You confess. You can barely look her in the eye at this point.
She makes her way towards you, and pats your shoulder. "Mind telling me about it? I wanna make sure you're alright, dear. Sorry if I haven't been attentive these past few days. I have been... Busy." She says, but you can hear the slight hesitation in her voice, but still laced with comfort. You just sigh, and look at the floor, as if the floor was telling you something interesting. You laugh, dryly. You try not to cry, but your sniffles can still be heard. She pats your back, and takes your cigarette from you, placing it somewhere, and she crouches down to your level. "Are you okay, dove? Is something wrong?" She puts her rough and calloused hands on your shoulder, as you pathetically cry infront of her. You finally break. "I-I'm sorry Grayson. Everything was fine between us, but I got drunk, and told my c-coworkers I-I liked you, and it was a mistake, I shouldn't have said it, and now you're ignoring me, and I'm sorry for crying, I known it's dumb, I should just—" She cuts you off with a deep kiss. It takes you a completely comprehend what's happening. You put one of your arms to pull on the back of her hair, as you moan in the kiss. You pull back, and she pulls you back in. She's now putting hickies on your neck. You still can't believe this is real, so you push her away again, just to take a good look at her.
She stops, and she pushes you a little big, surprised by her own actions. "I-I'm sorry, that was unprofessional of me, I shouldn't have done that, I came off too strong, I apologize" She says, and you just blink and look at her. You giggle a bit still nervous about what just happened, and you grip her biceps "No, no, It's okay, I do like you, alot— I'm just— am I dreaming? Is this real? Are we doing this?" You ask her, looking into her beautiful grey eyes, and she smiles at you, and leans in "Yes, dove, this is real." she goes in to kiss you again, and you kiss her back with more passion, and it's slowly turning into a very horny make out session.
Lighting striked, and the two of you jumped. You both giggle, and she kissed your nose, and looks at you. "Sincerely, I am sorry for ignoring you the past few weeks, it was just so hard to believe that you liked me, I guess I got nervous. I do like you too, sweetheart, I just had to find a way to find the courage and do this with you." she admits, witch a small noticable blush on her cheeks, as she looks down at you, "Would you like to go on a date with me, dove?" She asks, her hand reaching for yours, as you stand up. You smile at her. "Yes, I'd love to" You kiss her knuckles.
The rain has gotten much weaker mow, and she takes her bag, to get an umbrella in it. "Do you want me to drive you home, love?" She asks you. You smile at her, as she offers her arm to you, and you gladly take it. You nod to her, and she puts the umbrella over your heads, as she takes you to her car. She opens the door for you like the gentlewoman she is, and kisses you hand as you go in.
She gets into the car, and asks you if you're comfortable. You nod, as you put your seatbelt on, and she drives you home. "Grayson? What did Marcus tell you exactly, when he...?" You look up at her, and ask her. She just chuckles, as she shift geers, (God, just thinking about it makes me—) "Oh, nothing you have to worry about dear. He just told me you liked me. I was in shock of course, and I wanted to talk to you about it. But, I knew if I did, I wouldn't be able to act professional around you, so I tried my best not to..." She explains. You look down, but she looks at you, and smiles to herself. "I'm glad I did now." She says to you. You could hear the smile in her voice. She puts a had on your leg, and rubs it. You touch her hand, and look up at her. "You mean it?" She chuckles, and she stops her car on the red light. She nods. She cups your cheeks, and leans in to give you a peck on the lips. You're now a blushing mess.
When you get to your destination, she parks right outside your house, waiting for you get your stuff. You were about to thank her, when she pulls your wrists, and leans in for another deep kiss. You were surprised at how clingy your Sheriff was, but you kissed her back. You climb on top of her, and slowly grind your hips on her thighs, as she's taking off her uniform. You pull away, only to go to her neck, and give her love bites. She chuckles. "hmm, my dove, I think I'm past the age where love bites look cool on me" You roll your eyes. "You're never to old for a little love, Gray" You tease, and she pulls you back into the kiss.
You guys make out for a while when you pull back and look at her. "Do you... Want to come in?" You ask her, with a cheeky smile. Your hair is all messy now. She chuckles, and presses her forehead against yours. "I'd love to." and with that, she takes her umbrella, and carries you into your house, and you spend the whole night 'Bonding' with your Sheriff. 😉

I'm gonna end this right here, I'm not gonna go full on smut yet. I'm just testing the waters, if y'all would like me to make more Grayson fics, as much as I make Sevika fics. I love them both, I can't choose between them, so I think I might do both, but what do you think?

So Dean is fucked up after Cas is taken into the Empty obviously, all melancholy, no sleep, drinking too much, you know his gist. Sam probably tries to get him to talk about it, but he would never tell him everything Cas said, you know. So Dean is miserable, and Sam is miserable, but THEY DON'T STOP trying to get Cas back.
And they do, somehow. So Cas appears somewhere in the library or wherever they were Doing What Brought Him Back and there's a second of confused, vulnerable silence because this can't be real don't believe it's real he's gonna disappear and it's gonna suck all over again but he stays, and looks at Dean, and then Dean is hugging him, clutching him like... well, like everything that happened, happened, and they're breathing each other in. Cas hasn't had the chance to think about what it all means, yet, so he's not overthinking it. Then they break apart, and Dean has tears in his eyes and his lower lip is shaking, and while Sam hugs Cas, too, Dean's body is like, shutting down, months of exhaustion (physical and emotional) catching up to him, and he feels it coming, so when Sam gets Cas to sit down, making him drink some water, Dean's like "I'm just gonna-" and he's running into his room and he doesn't even make it inside before he starts sobbing. He's sitting against his bed, his face in his hands, all wet now, when Sam comes in. Maybe he knocked, maybe not, Dean couldn't hear him. And he tries to cover himself a little, but Sam sees anyway, and he's so tired, so he just. Doesn't care.
And Sam says, "Dean, don't hide from him" and Dean isn't sobbing anymore but he's still crying into his palms, saying "I'm so tired, Sammy" and Sam knows. He doesn't know what happened between Dean and Cas but Cas said he did something and now Dean wouldn't feel comfortable around him. So, you know. Sam can guess, a little.
So he says, "He thinks you don't want anything to do with him anymore" and "you should go talk to him" and Dean is like "I can't" and he doesn't know why, maybe because he's exhausted, or because he doesn't know what to say to him , or because Cas sacrifised himself for him again, or because he told him he loved him and turned Dean's world upside down and disappeared, or maybe because he's scared.
And Sam knows this is all happening in Dean's head and he knows some of it is whispered to him in their dad's voice, so he says, "you know nothing in the world would ever change how I think of you," and Dean's head snaps towards him, wet with bloodshot eyes, confused and terrified, but he doesn't say anything, so Sam asks, "what really happened down there?" and Dean knows Sam knows. There's a hand squeezing his heart and lungs and he can't breathe, and Sam knows, and Dean wishes he could go back to when it wasn't even an option.
"He's your best friend," Sam says, and he is, he is, he's Dean's best friend, above all else, it's not just sacrifises and battles and blood and desperate confessions, it's also movies and music and inside jokes, so Dean asks Sam to get Cas. He does, and leaves them in Dean's room alone. And Dean says "don't ever die for me again" and "you think you saved me but i was barely alive" and "next time we die together" which is maybe a little fucked up, but he's feeling so raw. He says, "you're my best friend" and looks at Cas, hoping Cas hears everything he isn't saying, how Cas is the most important person in all the universes to Dean. He's family, but he doesn't say that, doesn't want Cas to think he's family like anyone else, because Cas is more. To Dean, Cas is- something Dean won't say yet, but he is.
And they have a quiet dinner with Sam because they're all tired, and Cas showers while they turn on the TV and bring out a couple of beers, and they act like it's a normal day in their life. Dean's head keeps falling and his eyes keep closing, his temples aching, but he stays, and at some point Sam goes to sleep, and when they're alone Cas tries to get Dean to go, too, but he keeps coming up with lame excuses to stay and Cas doesn't know what to make of it until he thinks maybe Dean doesn't want to be alone, or even - maybe Dean doesn't want to leave Cas alone, maybe he's scared something will happen to him again, or maybe he wants to just - be with Cas longer. And Cas is completely out of his element, because why would Dean- But it doesn't matter. His priority has always been Dean's well-being, so if there's any chance Dean is pushing himself because of - some of that, Cas will step up.
So he asks Dean if he can sleep in Dean's room tonight because he doesn't want to be alone. And there's a blaring red light going off in Dean head, screaming he knows he knows he knows Dean wants him to... what? Dean doesn't even know. Cas is asking as if for himself, for Dean's benefit, and Dean. God. Dean loves him, doesn't he? He's always loved him, but he loves him like... like... but he doesn't think it, still. He feels too open, now, and he wants to lock himself in his room and sleep it off and drink and stop feeling so vulnerable, he thinks he must be an open book to everyone, to Cas especially, and god, could people always tell? Can Cas tell, now? But why does it matter? Cas told him- he told him-
But none of it matters, because Cas is here, and he's offereing Dean an easy way out, and Dean is a weak, weak man, and he's exhausted and all he wants is to breathe Cas' air and know he's here, and not going anywhere.
So Dean puts on an old T-shirt and gets out of his jeans like he always does before realizing Cas is here. He flushes all over, sits down on his bed because he didn't think about how this was gonna go. Cas glances at the desk as if he was gonna sit in his chair the whole night, and Dean doesn't actually know if Cas sleeps now or doesn't, which he maybe should've thought of before, but before he can say anything, Cas says, "Dean, I don't want to make you uncomfortable" and Dean, completely lost, says the first thing that comes to his mind, which is, "can you lie down with me?" which is not exactly how he was gonna tell Cas he's the opposite of uncomfortable with him, but it does the trick. He makes Cas get out of his dress pants and gives him a T-shirt to sleep in, too, and flushes even more when he realizes what Cas is wearing. Dean lies down when Cas steps towards the bed, faces the wall because he doesn't know what to do with himself. They lie in silence for an awkward moment before Cas says, "are we okay?" and Dean says, "of course we are" and Dean knows Cas is still overthinking it, and he is, too, but... Cas took the leap, and he must feel so uncertain about them, and Dean thinks he owes him something, at least. Cas told him he loved him. Nothing felt right since then, because Cas died and because Cas thought he could never have what he wanted and because Cas thought he wasn't the most important person in Dean's life with Sammy, whatever that meant, and because Dean had to come to terms with that reality, a reality where Cas loves him, has loved him, him, Dean, broken and all. A man. A man Cas thought beautiful, and loving, and- and Dean has many issues, but Cas was never one of them, and Cas deserves to feel certain about his place in Dean's life.
So Dean asks Cas to come closer, and there's a still moment before Cas does, still too far away from Dean, and Dean can't see him, can't make himself turn because his heart is beating so loud he thinks if he looks at Cas, it's gonna beat out of his chest. So he reaches behind himself, finds Cas' hand and brings it forward, keeps it between his hands and brings them to his face. Breathes Cas in. "Please don't leave again" he says, in that tone he used when he prayed to Cas. He feels Cas shift, finally, as if he lost some of the tension from his body, feels the bed dip behind him, and he doesn't know how Cas moves but then Dean's back is pressed against Cas' front, and despite his beating heart, Dean is feeling the exhaustion start to take him. "Cas, I..." he tries, but he can't think anymore, can't make sense of anything.
"You can fall asleep, Dean," Cas says, his words warm in Dean's hair and the last thing he hears before sleep takes him is "I will be here when you wake up."
So when Dean wakes up, it's to a heavy arm around his chest and slow breaths against the back of his head. There's no moment of confusion about who he's with, or why. He doesn't even get a second to consider if it was real before Cas says "good morning, Dean" and Dean wonders if Cas slept at all. If he needs to sleep, now. There's so much they need to talk about, all three of them.
"Cas," he tries again, remembereing his attempt from last night. He needs Cas to know, for sure. "Cas, I - what you said. You know I. I've never..." and Cas is like "I know, Dean" but he sounds a little confused, so Dean doensn't know what Cas thinks he knows. So he turns, takes a second to notice how close they are now, and he thinks about Cas' eyes, his lips. Thinks, soon.
"You have to know," he says, as if Cas didn't say anything. "You have to know how I - what I" and he can't get the words out, not sure if it would be easier if there were no words to get out or if there were no voices in his head screaming over them. So he breathes in, Cas' scent overtaking his senses, brings his palm to Cas' face. Closes his eyes. Thinks, soon. Thinks, now, and meets Cas halfway.

"Old enemies and spilled coffee pt.4"
Or "Something made a hole in my backyard pt 4"
Shadow the hedghog x reader (platonic)
Notes: I know I´m taking my time to actually make Shadow, well, do something, but we are right there, I swear. As always, if you want to be on the taglist leave a comment, and if you just want to leave a comment I don´t mind either.
Btw, idk if this is obvious but I am NOT proofreading anything of what I'm writing. Enjoy!
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3.
You had already taken your alien-ish friend out of the box and laid it down on your bed so that it would be more comfortable. Once again you had doubted yourself over how comfortable it could possibly be, but as long as it couldn´t act in a way that showed uncomformity then it would have to deal with what it was given.
You had agreed to have lunch at your uncle´s house the next day. But in the meantime you had texted your aunt Maddie to ask her to come over to the house you were staying in under the pretense that you would share some pastries and talk about life for a while.
And so you sat on the couch waiting for time to pass and hoping that Maddie would be there soon. And, just like an angel sent from heaven, the doorbell rang and you sprinted to open the door.
On the other side awaited your lovely aunt with a huge smile on her face which reflected your own excitement. Hugs that lasted a little more than necessary and greetings were exchanged, you invited her inside and prepared tea, all while she talked about how much you had grown, how much she had missed you, etc.
"So how´s life? Any cute work friend I should know about or something?" Of course that would be between the questions, it was an aunt´s classic.
"No, everything has been rather boring actually, I mean, I was working at the salon back at home last month because they were short on staff, but truthfully? The gossip was the only entretaining part" You answered as you stirred your coffee, she had chosen chamomille tea.
"Uhhh, does that mean you can braid my hair now?" She asked with a smile as she sipped her tea and proceded to add more sugar to it.
That was one of the reasons you loved Maddie so much (not the sugar part) but the fact that she never juged your style of working, you were a freelance artist, so all the time you weren´t actively working on a project you would spend doing some minor jobs. Usually people would be all over you telling you to ´get a real job´ or stuff like that, but never Maddie, she was your ride or die, you could tell her that you were gonna climb the Everest and she would cheer you from the bottom.
That was why it came so handy that she was a vet. She probably wouldn´t even question the fact that you had brought a weirdly shaped animal all the way across the state. She trusted you, and you trusted her.
"Maddie, there´s something you should know, and I need you to remain calm and trust me, okay?"
She looked at you for a few seconds, her expression getting serious, and as she looked you dead into your eyes she asked softly:
"Is it that you are gay?"
"What! No!"
"OH, sorry, I thought this was like you getting out of the closet or..."
"No, I didn´t mean that I´m not gay, that was not what I was going to tell you!"
"Wait, so you are gay then?"
"Does it matter?"
"No, I just thought that was the topic we were discussing"
At some point between the exchange you both had broken into laughter, and somehow half of your coffe laid then spilled onto the table.
"I-I am so confused hahaha" she tried to speak in between laughs, but you could see how she was struggling to breathe, laugh and talk at the same time.
While still in your happy state you cleaned up the coffee puddle with a rag and took in a few breaths to relax. Once there was air in your lungs once more, and she had calmed down as well, you continued.
"I brought an... animal with me from home, and it kind of seems to be in like a coma? I would appreciate it if you took a look at it." You explained.
"You brought an animal in a coma all the way to Green Hill? That could be very dangerous for it" She scolded you slightly as she got up from her seat to follow you to the bedroom.
"I know, but it´s like nothing I had ever seen before, and I only trust you for this"
"Does this have something to do with your mother not letting you keep pets? Because you are an adult, you can have pets if you take care of them"
You stood in front of the door and looked at her a little bit as if she had lost her mind.
"No, that´s not it, but you have to promise that you won´t say a word to nobody"
She answered an "I promise" under her breath and you opened the door slowly, allowing her into the room. Maddie didn´t scream, neither did she look back at you as she entered the room. You stayed a little behind, just waiting for some type of reaction.
Maybe if you had been by her side you would have seen the way she frowned, as every little detail on the creature in front of her fell in place perfectly with the description that Sonic, her son, had given her about the hedghog who tried to kill her husband.
She knew it was a dangerous being, but laying down on that bed among the fluffy pillows he just looked... so calm.
Silence reigned the room for a few moments, and for some reason you felt that as if the air had become thick. She approached Shadow and lifted his limbs one by one, making sure that none of his bones were broken, even squeezing a little harder than necesary. And then, Maddie turned around with a smile, walked up to you, ruffled your hair, told you that it was unlikely that the thing would be asleep for longer than three days and left with the excuse of having to buy groceries.
And so, after the sound of the front door closing, as you were looking the way your aunt had left you were once more on your own.
And, if you hadn´t turned back around, you would have probably missed the sight of red eyes fluttering open.

wildfire (cs) | twelve.
—spotify playlist | series masterlist
—summary: assistant professor in bioengineering, incredibly attractive, lonely and divorced; that’s how most people describe san. but despite the events that have happened in his life, san has a lot going for himself. he’s a successful, sought out professor due to his brilliant contributions to science at just an early age of 32. he worked hard to get where he was now; head deep into his research, his publications, building his lab and creating a name for himself. everything was good and smooth sailing— until it wasn’t. because when he meets you, a bioengineering grad student interested in rotating in his lab, he finds himself ready to risk all the blood, sweat and tears he put in throughout the years just to keep you close— his need for you spiraling out of control like a wildfire.
—pairing: asst. professor!choi san x grad student!f. reader
—genre: (18+ - minors dni) strangers to lovers, grad school au | fluff, angst, smut
—word count: 4.8k
—chapter content/warnings: cussing, lotsa talk goin around, mostly focused on namjoon lol, i'ma tell yall rn - cant trust nobody!!, everyone is just onto san x oc but for the wrong asssss reasons, joon loves his 'yes or no' questions lmao, again - i promise you there is no ill intentions behind namjoon's actions - he is trying to see both sides but he has to do what he needs to do as a department chair first & foremost!! pls understand my guy.. he had to think quick!
Today, it feels like everyone is staring at you.
Today, it feels like everyone knows, and everyone is projecting their assumptions about you and San out into the world.
"You okay?" Eunchae looks down at you as you walk and avoid contact, keeping your eyes down on your feet below or your phone. "You're awfully quiet today." Maybe word hasn't gotten to Eunchae, Jurin or Felix yet, but you know it'll eventually make its way over.
Or, maybe they have heard and they're just waiting for you.
All you know is that you wanna hide under your blankets to prevent all this overthinking, this anxiety from feeling like everyone is watching you.
"Yeah. Just tired."
"You sure? I'm all ears, you know."
"Mhm." You give her a small reassuring smile as you tug on your bag. "Thank you."
"Course."
"Have you heard from Jiung today?" You ask. You haven't really talked to Jiung since your fight at the happy hour event, and he hasn't done much to talk to you either. It's a bit awkward, but whenever you and your friends are all together, you try to keep the peace and act like nothing is wrong. You do hope he's okay, and you do hope to have your bestfriend back— but you're still upset at the fact that he jumped to conclusions about San and accused him of forcing you into this.
"No. But, he did say he probably wasn't gonna grab lunch cause he needs to take care of some things."
"I see."
"I'll see you for lunch though, right?" You nod, just as the Biology building comes into view. "Goodluck with class today."
"Thanks." You squeeze her hand before heading inside for class. Luckily, Yunho said he wouldn't be able to join class today. You weren't really in the mood to deal with him, and you're more so worried about getting through class in one piece before your mind tears you apart with all this overthinking.
"Morning Y/N!" A student already sitting in the classroom says. You're instantly comforted as you greet them back and start getting set up at the front of the classroom. But, that instantly goes down the drain when two more students walk in together— eyeing you as they pass the front table before talking amongst each other.
Fuck.
You haven't heard from San either.
The world truly felt like it was swallowing you whole.
—FLASHBACK
"Hey! I'm back." You smile at Sunwoo as you place your things down at your desk. It instantly fades when you get a chance to look around the basement office, a few of your lab members talking amongst themselves while looking in your direction. You slightly furrow your brows, wondering what exactly they were talking about or why they felt the need to be doing all of that in your face.
Was everyone in on you and San?
Is this what everything has come to?
"Hey you!" Sunwoo looks up, noticing the shift in your mood. He turns to look at everyone, shaking his head before returning his attention towards you. At this point, everyone has returned to their desks or left the room to head into the behavior or wet lab rooms. "You good?"
"Hm." You hum. "I guess."
"You guess? How was the conference?"
"Good! It was chill. Jotted down a few presentations I wanted to share with you and Belle. Is she around?" He shakes his head.
"Haven't seen her."
"Hm, okay."
"You can tell me, I'm all ears." You look at your watch.
"I gotta run behavior soon."
"So, let's grab something quick to eat before you run behavior?"
"I'm down. Kinda starving anyway."
"Yeah, let's get something in you. You won't be able to focus otherwise." He stands and stretches before nodding towards the door. "So, what was the most interesting?" You follow behind him with your wallet clutched in hand, lingering eyes watching as you leave with Sunwoo.
"Maybe she's trying to get around the lab?" You overhear one of the guys say just as you walk out of the room with Sunwoo, pausing in your steps.
"Sunwoo."
"Huh?"
"Actually, you know what. I think I can hang on until dinner. I should get started on behavior. We can talk about this another time."
"Huh? No, let's get something really quick."
"You can go ahead without me. Sorry. I just realized I'm more strapped on time than I thought I was."
"Okay? But, I'm grabbing you a snack and you better eat it." He slowly starts walking backwards down the basement hallway, glaring at you.
"Thank you." Sunwoo watches as your head falls when you walk back into the basement office. Truth be told, he's been hearing the talk go around, but he's not one to meddle— especially if it has something to do with his good friends. He'll always be on your side, regardless of what people say or think.
And he feels awful it's starting to be more obvious around you. The talk. The looks.
He wishes he could do more as your friend to help keep it away from you.
—END
Namjoon is already having a rough start to his day despite it being one of the lighter days meeting-wise. He was woken up to an urgent, sensitive email from the dean about an anonymous tip that came in overnight about San:
Namjoon— Please get to the bottom of this; we received this tip last night about San and his student. 'Hi. I'm not sure who to direct this concern to anonymously, but I believe Y/N Y/L/N and Professor Choi (San) are in an inappropriate relationship. I think she might be using it to her advantage to move forward in the program and secure her spot in his lab.' I'd like to resolve this before the end of the week. This should not be taken lightly if this is true...
And the thing is— he's just frustrated that this has been taking up this time lately. He hasn't even gotten his own time to think properly. He could only sigh in disappointment as he got ready for his day, unsure of what else it could bring him.
He should've known the storm was coming.
Iseul tugs on her jacket as she heads over to the Panama Building, the wind cooling her cheeks as she made sure to clear her hour for this particular meeting. Most students are in class right now, so the halls are quiet, still. Iseul takes the elevator up to the second floor and steps out, rushing down towards the left end of the hall.
"Namjoon." Namjoon turns over his shoulder to see Iseul. His door is wide open since he doesn't have any important meetings for awhile, and he always tries to foster a welcoming environment by letting students [and faculty] know they're always welcome to pop in if they need him.
He did not mean her though, especially today.
"Iseul."
"Can we talk?" Namjoon quickly sizes her, realizing she's already inside his office. He doesn't necessarily have a choice, but he knows this talk was gonna happen sooner or later.
He knows Iseul always has something to say.
"You're already in my office so I don't think there's necessarily a choice." He says it in a slightly playful manner just so he doesn't come off entirely rude. "What's on your mind?" Iseul shuts the door and crosses her arms before looking at him. Namjoon sits on the edge of his desk, hands loosely clasped together.
"I think you might already know." He shrugs.
"Enlighten me."
"San."
"What about him?"
"Can you let him know how dangerous it is to be dating his rotation student? He's being stupid."
"He's a grown man."
"And you're the chair."
"Thanks for the reminder." He furrows his brows. "Respectfully Iseul, this is not a discussion for you, that's why I'm not trying to indulge."
"How is this not? He's putting his reputation on the line, along with the school's. Including yours—"
"I don't see where you're involved. You don't have anything to do with him directly or the bioengineering department." He crosses his arms and stands. "I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, but this wasn't your place to do so. I'll handle it and I'll take care of it, so you don't need to worry." Namjoon glares at her a bit.
"You're being so casual about something pretty severe." Namjoon pauses as he maintains his eye contact with her. She wants him to shrink and fold, but he won't.
"I think we both know that's not the reason why you're bringing this up." Her brows are knit tightly as they sit in an awkward, tense pause. "Aren't you tired of treating San this way? Why exactly do you feel so strongly about calling him out?"
"I'm not even doing anything to him—"
"You're right, you're not. You don't respect him, you don't acknowledge him, you don't know how to be civil with him. Yet, you don't see me calling you out on your behavior towards your ex-husband who has done nothing but try and keep the peace. I only ever hear San's name come out of your mouth when you've got something bad to say about him." She glares at him. As much as Namjoon equally tries to be there for all of the faculty and to not choose sides, one thing that can surely piss him off is when people act this way unwarranted.
So no, he won't sit back if he feels the hostility. He understands the severity of the situation and he has yet to gather his thoughts and his information, but he won't take this.
"So, you're gonna let this go? Do you even actually understand the situation, Namjoon? If you won't take care of it, I'll have no choice but to escalate this to the dean."
"I do, plenty. You don't have to tell me twice or how to do my job, Iseul." He walks over to the door. "I already said I'll take care of it. On my own terms and in my own way. Not the way you want me to." He places a hand on his hip. "And what makes you think we haven't already discussed this?"
"Fine. If that girl ruins everything for the school—"
"She won't." Namjoon cuts her off just as he swings the door open. "This will be taken care of, end of story. Is there anything else I can help you with that doesn't involve San and his personal matters?"
"No." She huffs a bit before walking out of the room. At this point, Jiung is cutting the corner and almost running into Iseul as he makes his way to Namjoon's office. Jiung does a curt bow to Iseul as she storms by, heels clicking away on the linoleum floor. Her feet are heavy, Jiung feels every step even as she gets further and further away.
"Oh, Jiung. Nice to see a friendly face." Namjoon lets out a breath and gives him a toothless smile.
"Professor Kim." Jiung gives him a bow. "Are you free right now?"
"Mhm." He steps aside. "Just finished with Professor Lee. Come on in." He welcomes him inside, a bit relieved to see his face and to be welcomed by his gentle aura. It's nothing like Iseul and he's grateful; although, it does make him a little nervous to see Jiung in his office when he doesn't necessarily belong to the department.
And just like Iseul, the buzz around campus, everything that's been going down— Namjoon already feels like he knows what this is about.
The only thing he can do is confront it and take care of it just like he told Iseul he'd do. But, how? He's not sure. He's gonna have to take the time today to sit San down and poke at his brain because he's just not understanding how all of this went down and why his name and your name are being tossed around together.
Maybe he just didn't wanna believe it was true; not with San, no. He couldn't. Both as his friend and colleague.
"What can I help with? I'm a little surprised you're popping into my office since you're in the electrical engineering department."
"Ah, cause.." Jiung slowly sits in the chair and sets his bag down. "It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with me." Namjoon cocks his head to the side.
"Okay, no worries. I'm all ears."
"I-I don't really know how to say this, but I'm mainly concerned about a friend. She's in the bioengineering department."
"I think I might know what you're talking about." Namjoon says, giving Jiung a nod to proceed with his explanation.
"Yeah, it's that. I feel like Professor Choi might have forced her into it, though. It just seems really out of character for Y/N, and I don't know. I guess it just feels like he might have said something or tried to take advantage of her."
"I understand your concern for your friend, but can you let me know why you think Professor Choi is taking advantage of her or forcing her into this?"
"I just.. it just seems off, is all."
"But, what if this is also Y/N's choice?"
"It's not like her."
"I'm not saying you don't know your friend, Jiung. But, there are things people are fully capable of doing that can come off as unexpected from your point of view."
"I talked to her after the whole happy hour thing went down and I found Professor Choi kinda cornering her against the wall. She didn't look scared or anything, but she did get defensive while I was talking to her and asking her about it."
"I see." Is all Namjoon says because one, he just doesn't know. Just like he told Jiung, there are probably things he doesn't know San is capable of doing. He needs to talk to him and that's the only way he'll get the proper story. The only way to get to the bottom of it is finally confronting San about the issue at hand.
Face to face.
To be honest, he's been putting off the conversation because it's not a conversation he wants to have. It's not easy, nor will the decision at the end be something he wants to do— but he has to.
"I'm sorry, Professor Kim. I don't mean to add to your plate, but I got worried."
"Is Y/N doing okay otherwise?" He nods.
"Think so. She hasn't been saying much. We got into a fight after I confronted her so we haven't been talking."
"Sorry to hear that. I'm sure things will smooth over sooner or later." Namjoon says. "Is there anything else you'd like to let me know?"
"No, that's all. I'm sorry I don't have much details, I'm just worried about her."
"All good, I understand. I'm sure she appreciates it, too. She's lucky to have a friend like you by her side."
"Thanks, Professor Kim. For hearing me out."
"Sure. I'll take care of it and see what I can do, okay?" Jiung nods and stands, slipping his bag strap over his shoulder.
"Can we keep this between us? Please don't mention that I stopped by."
"Of course." Namjoon says softly as he stands to walk him to the dior. "Of course." He repeats.
"Thanks."
"I just can't promise you I'll have any updates cause it'll be pretty confidential moving forward."
"It's fine. I get it." Jiung stops right before he steps out the door. "Thank you again."
"No problem. You know how to reach me if you have any other concerns." Jiung nods before slipping through the door and taking his exit. Namjoon exhales heavily before pulling out his phone to text the person he needs—
namjoon: can we talk in my office? i'd rather much do this today, not later.
namjoon: i'm free for the next hour and half.
san: yeah. i'll be there in 15 minutes.
namjoon: thanks.
He sighs again, pinching the bridge of his nose as he tries to gather his thoughts. It's the hardest thing to approach this as a colleague rather than a friend because as a friend, Namjoon would let this go. He knows San deserves to be happy, and it sounds like he is. That's all he's ever wanted for him especially after all the hurt and pain he had gone through with Iseul and Yunho. But as a colleague, his 'higher-up' even, it's wrong. San's happiness is wrong because it's with his student. A student who is a grown adult who can make decisions for themselves. It's wrong.
So, what does he do?
He feels a migraine coming on, so he tries to busy himself with some emails, making sure deadlines and reports have been submitted. Luckily, the dean is giving him some time and isn't pressing him for answers right this second even though he knows it's on his mind. If he was, Namjoon wasn't sure what he'd say.
He's not sure how he'll get San out of this.
"Yo." San appears in his office, softly shutting the door behind him.
"Take a seat." San immediately picks up on the vibe in the room and how stressed Namjoon looks. He knows they still need to talk about things, but something tells San it's become much deeper than that and he's not prepared for it whatsoever. No matter how hard he tried to prepare, there's no proper way to be fully prepared.
"You okay?"
"Honestly, I don't know." He sits back a bit, hands clasped on the surface of the table. "But, I'm just gonna get right to it because I think this is way overdue."
"Okay." San manages to respond softly.
"We need to talk about what happened at the happy hour event the other day, plus that whole thing with Iseul and Yunho." Namjoon pauses before he cuts to the chase. "San, why do I keep getting wind of you being in a relationship with your rotation student?" Silence. "Y/N, to be exact." He looks at him. "Is that what the whole happy hour thing was about? Is that what you three were discussing in the conference room yesterday?" He sighs. "I was try to push this off a little longer until I could figure out how to get you out of this, but word keeps going around and it definitely didn't help that you three had a screaming match about it." San sighs heavily as he sinks into the chair.
"Well, as far as I know, I wasn't planning on discussing my personal matters with Yunho and Iseul. They trapped me into the fucking—"
"San." Namjoon stops him. "Is it a yes or no?" Pause. San just looks at Namjoon and it's enough for him to put the final piece together. Everything had been about you from the get-go, but San still won't say it. He's doing everything to protect you, but this might be it; there's no way he can lie to Namjoon about this, or hide this from him any longer.
It's far too late for that.
"San." He repeats. "This is not the time to try and lie to me. I had two people talk to me about it and an anonymous tip came in that was sent my way."
"Who?"
"It doesn't matter." Namjoon furrows his brows and lets out a heavy exhale. "I need the truth from you. Now." The exasperated sigh that leaves San's lips is full of emotions; fear, anxiety, protectiveness, even.
"I'm sorry." Is all San can respond with. It comes out low, barely above a whisper.
"Why?" Namjoon cocks his head to the side, hands on his hips. "Why? I just wanna know why!" His voice is harsh, but he keeps his tone low. "A student, your student? It's damn near everywhere, you know that, right? I don't know how I'm gonna fix this for you, but you know they'll take action against her and probably you—"
"Namjoon, please." San pleads. "Please don't do this to her. Don't take her out of the program. Do whatever you need to me, but don't take it out on her."
"San." Namjoon pinches the bridge of his nose before letting out an exasperated sigh. "You should've known better." He looks at him, but San can't even respond. All he can do is shrug and shake his head because he did know better, he just didn't wanna do better and chose to be selfish. "I need to figure this out before end of the day and report back to the dean. I can't force you to act a certain way or do things you don't wanna do. But, for this reason in particular, I'm gonna need you two to stop. You're not interacting with her on campus, you're not going to be involved in anything having to do with her moving forward." Namjoon shakes his head. "You both couldn't wait until graduation or something? I know it's years ahead but you know how this looks—"
"I— no. Things just happened. That's really the only way I can explain it. I'm sorry. The hell am I supposed to do? I can't help but feel how I feel for her." Namjoon sighs heavily, feeling torn between wanting his friend to be happy, but concerned and disappointed for his colleague.
"That isn't gonna fly. You knew better than to get involved with a student in your lab. You can't just risk everything you've built for yourself, San. You have no idea how much trouble you could get into if the school finds out just exactly how deep your relationship has gotten with her— let alone, your own rotation student!" His tone slight rises, but it falls when he sees San visibly shrink and lose eye contact with him. He paces around for a bit, hands still on his hips as he tries to figure out a way to brush this over before it gets way too messy and complicated. "I get you. I do. You deserve to be happy, and who the hell am I to police your actions? But, I can't have you do this to yourself or her. The both of you are grown so I expected you to do better."
"So, what's gonna happen?"
"Well, I'll need to let them know this isn't true and that you two aren't in a relationship. I'll have to remove her from your lab and I'll need to figure out where I can place her or what I can do for her."
"They won't kick her out, right?"
"Honestly, I can't even be sure. I don't think so, but you two will definitely not be allowed to be near or around each other." Namjoon looks at him. "Are you not even worried about yourself?"
"No, I'm not."
"She's worth it to you?"
"More than anything." San says softly. "Look, it's cliché but you really don't understand." Namjoon shrugs.
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't. I don't wanna take your happiness away, San. Believe me. That's the last thing I wanna do and this is already difficult as is. But, it just had to be her?"
"It did, yeah. And there's nothing I regret about it." Another small silence falls between them before Joon speaks up again.
"Do you get where people are taking this?"
"No, quite frankly, I don't."
"Favoritism, like you two are taking advantage of each other for benefits. It's becoming so noticeable that people are talking."
"You and I both know how great of a student she is. If she's received opportunities, it's because she earned them herself, not because of me."
"That's not how it looks. And perception matters. You know this. Relationships like this are literally a ticking time bomb for your career, the bioengineering department." He's gonna use the excuse that Iseul pulled because for him, as department chair, as someone who needs to keep the glue together for this department, it's true.
"I don't even see how we're doing anything wrong when we're both adults. She and I both know what this is—"
"That doesn't matter in this situation. There's a power dynamic here you can't ignore. Even if this is real, you hold her future in your hands. Do you understand?" Joon exhales, brows tightly knit together. "What about her fate in this whole situation? Do you care about that?"
"Of course I do. I care about her more than anything." San responds almost exasperatedly.
"Do you love her?"
"If I say yes?"
"Then, tell me. If you had to choose between your relationship or keeping her here, then what?" San sighs and runs his hand down his face. "Think about it. You deserve to be happy, but that girl also deserves a chance to keep going."
"Why can't we just keep it on the low, why do I have to choose? W-we can be more careful—"
"San, don't be stupid. I'm sure 'being careful' is how this all started, right?" Silence. "You know people are going to find out one way or another. It won't matter how real this is to you, to the both of you. She'll be branded as the professor's pet. Is that what you want for her? And you'll lose everything—your job, your reputation, ability to work at other institutions. Plus, the dean is still thinking about your program with Jongho and the real estate. This is going to trickle onto Jongho, too."
"No, of course not. And I don't want Jongho to take a fall because of me. But.." San sighs, his heart breaking the more this conversation goes on. He wasn't prepared to be here today, no. And he wasn't prepared for his mind to start thinking otherwise about your relationship, you. He was always sure of you, but now he's starting to feel like he's been too selfish;
Neglected you and your future plans. Your dreams, your goals.
"You're asking me to break this off. To break off my relationship with someone I truly care about and someone that genuinely makes me happy. Something I haven't felt in a long time."
"I'm sorry, San. I already told you how difficult this is, and it's not my intention to take your happiness away. I just need to protect you two from everyone, especially the dean. Please understand me and hear me. I'm asking you to protect her this way. If anything happens, it'll be the both of you going down and you know she doesn't deserve that either. "
"And If I don't do this?" San asks just to put the question out there.
"Then, can you call it love? Or is it just you being selfish?" San leans onto his knees, head falling into his hands. "I'm trying to come from a good place. Help me help you." He feels a headache coming on, thoughts running at a thousand miles per hour. He hates the thought of losing you; it makes him sick to his stomach. But, he can't even lie and say there isn't a piece of truth behind Namjoon's words.
Can San really say he loves you if he isn't doing the right thing for you? Is he being too selfish, assuming he could keep this on the low? Assuming he could be 'more' careful with you?
Is he selfish for wanting you by his side no matter what? Is he selfish for saying fuck it?
Is he selfish?
The last thing he wants to do is ruin your career, ruin you. Even if this will hurt like hell, he understands where Namjoon is coming from and knows he needs to put you first.
He's so conflicted. He has no idea what to do or how to move forward. Because as much as he knows he needs to do this for you and the sake of Namjoon, he doesn't want to.
He is scared.
"I need to head back to my office." San sighs and stands, but Namjoon follows closely.
"I don't have much time. I need to let them know that something is gonna be done and I need to prove it to them. You do hear me, right?"
"I do. I just.. give me a little bit of time to think, Joon. Please." Namjoon just nods, meeting San's expression. He feels bad, he really does. And as his friend, this isn't something he wants to do— but he has to. He could easily tell San to keep this on the low, to keep this a secret until things blow over but at some point, he doesn't trust himself to continue along with the story had anyone asked about it out of the blue.
Namjoon watches as San sadly walks off back to his office, eyes trained on the phone in his hand. San sees your texts, and usually, that'll be enough to put a smile on his face. He'll text back right away so you know he's been thinking about you; but today, he's thinking about you in a different light and he's not sure how to stomach it.
When he gets back to his office, he sees a few people from the lab lingering around— even you. You meet his eyes and his eyes meet yours, but he doesn't give you a smile.
His eyes don't glow like they used to.
His cheeks aren't threatening to glow that cute, rosy tint they do when you're around.
He just steps in without doing anything to acknowledge your presence and that already feels way off.
you: 😞 you didn't even look my way when you walked back into the office and i haven't heard from you all day.
you: i hate how all my papers and presentations are due this week. plus ppl have been weird, idk. i just wanna cuddle 😭
san: i'm sorry. it's just been a day.
you: that's never stopped you before... ☹️ what's wrong, san?
san: we should talk, baby.

Make barbatos fanfics pls
The memory of your recent mishap kept playing in your mind. It was a complete mistake - you hadn't intended to drench Barbatos in tea. Despite him being more than capable of protecting himself, you foolishly attempted to shield him from whatever toxic concoction Solomon was cooking up. One thing led to another, a massive pot fell over, there was an ear-deafening clang, and Barbatos was on the ground. Sopping wet.
He wasted no time in excusing himself to clean off, leaving you to bear the weight of your sins. Anyone could have easily cleaned the mess with magic, but Barbatos instead opted for a shower for some peace and quiet to calm down. Solomon was left to scrub the floor by hand since he started this issue in the first place.
As all of the castle's linens had been conveniently gathered in the laundry room to be inventoried, you took it upon yourself to grab a clean towel and deliver it to Barbatos.
You could hear the water running from down the hall. It was so loud, you weren't sure Barbatos could hear you. Wisps of steam escaped from the cracks around the bathroom door. You knocked. There was no answer.
"Barbatos?" you called, knocking again. There was no answer. Only the running of water. He was probably already in the shower. You could take this opportunity to grab his soiled uniform and clean it before the stains permanently set in.
With that plan of action, you opened the door. Barbatos was not in the shower, despite the running faucet. In fact, Barbatos was stark naked in the middle of the room. A washcloth in his hand indicated he had already obtained his own towels. He had his back to the door, as if he was just about to enter the tub. He made eye contact with you over his shoulder, eyes wide.
That one second felt like an hour.
His posture was superb. A mix of tea and condensation from the muggy bathroom air trailed down the curve of his spine, fine enough to be in a medical textbook. Your eyes followed, down to the base of his tail and the derriere behind it. Two fabulous, firm full moons. A sight rarer than anything else in all the three realms.
"Did you need something?"
Barbatos' usual polite tone was punctuated with umbrage. He placed a hand on his chest, as though shielding his visage.
"I'm sorry!" were the first words you spat out, on reflex. Coherent thinking failed you in the face of such art. Sentences started falling out of your mouth and you hoped they made sense. "I thought you might need a towel, so I got one from the laundry and came to give it to you. I knocked! I did, I knocked, but you didn't answer so I came in to leave this."
You held the towel forward with both hands as an offering. "And I was gonna collect your clothes so I could wash them. As an apology for, ah, that other thing I did. Sorry."
You stared at the ground. Even Barbatos' ankles were pristine. A little bony, tapering down at the sides that led to his slender feet. You watched his weight shift as his tail curled closer to his body.
"How thoughtful. I'd appreciate if you could hang it on the towel bar. I will handle my clothes myself, later."
"Right, of course." You swiveled and diligently hung the towel up. The dirty clothes in question were on the ground, still soaking wet, neatly folded in a square. You looked from them back to Barbatos. He was rooted in place, not budging in the slightest. One wrong move, and who knew how much you'd see?
More than the current eyeful, that's for sure. More than the slope of his shoulders. More than the rise and fall of his upper body with each fresh breath. More than the sight of his wet hair clinging to the curve of his jawbone and the tenseness in his arm when his painted fingernails wrapped around the tiny washcloth.
"Do you need anything else?" he asked. An obvious cue for you to leave.
"I'm good," you said. It was hard not to ogle at the size of his waist fully unobscured by clothing, and its ratio to his hips. "Do you... need any help?"
"I am fine. I will be taking my shower now." His voice echoed around the bathroom as you finally left. It echoed around your head, too, when he said, "be good and wait for me."

Summary: You get bored of watching and that makes you careless. (dark!reader)
Characters: Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes
Note: my back hurts.
As per usual, I humbly request your thoughts! Reblogs are always appreciated and welcomed, not only do I see them easier but it lets other people see my work. Thanks to everyone who reads this one and thank you for all your energy.<3
Love you all like snakes love Woody’s boots. Take care. 💖
Bucky's snores roll through the apartment. He's just as irritating asleep as he is awake. Your back racks and your legs cramp as you slump in the chair. Your eyes droop now and again only the roll open and flick to the blue digits of the clock.
The minutes tick by like hours. His peaceful tempo irks you. It adds to the restlessness of your captivity.
You don't blame him entirely. You're a dumb fucking bitch. Why didn't you do some scouting before you waltzed in? Wait it out to make sure it's clear.
You go back and retrace your steps, over and over. Fuck. You're so stupid. So stupid. But not as stupid as that fucker thinks.
Or as weak.
He has that chip on his shoulder. He thinks his trauma overrides everyone else's. That no one else has been through shit. What you've been through you don't fucking think about because it's not worth it. He doesn't realise he's wasting his energy being such a miserable shit.
You stare through the window for a while. The city sparkles here. Not like in your apartment where it blares like a broken television.
Your head sinks down as your fatigue clouds your obstinacy. Your eyelids meet and your body slackens as much as it can within your bounds. The last look at the clock read about 3am.
Your mind swirls in a miasma. Thick and viscous. Your skull thumps like sledge on concrete. Then all at once you're awake and shivering.
The ice cold water seeps into your clothes as you gasp and gulp. Your lashes are webbed with moisture as you drip with the frigid rivulets. Bucky chuckles as a bucket hangs from his grip.
"Morning sunshine."
Your teeth chatter as you sneer back at him. You glance over at the city skyline. It's still a dusky mix of grey and blue.
"0500. Up and at 'em," he proclaims chipperly.
You shut your mouth and bite down on your shivers. This is what he wants. He's trying to break you. Well it's not gonna happen so soon. You've seen the videos on the dark web. You won't be scared by this emo bitch.
"Gotta keep a routine." He taunts.
You roll your eyes. Your gaze catches on the shine on the floor. You must've been out like a light. There's plastic under you. Maybe not just for the water. Well, you're not squeamish.
"I usually start with a run. What do you do when you crawl out of your hole at one in the afternoon? Probably just the thought of Steve gets your heart pumping," he grits.
"It helps," you snicker. "I've seen the real thing so... I'm certain my imagination is much better. The vibrator too."
"Fucking smart ass," he mutters and stomps away.
It's not a victory but it isn't defeat. You can match his energy, even if he's got you tied up like a dog. You wiggle in seat as that thought tickles something in you. You're twisted just like he said but he doesn't get to do that to you. Only Steve.
He shuffles around in the bedroom. He emerges in track pants and a long sleeve tee. The legs are a bit too long for him. Steve's got a few inches on him, probably in more way than one.
"I'll do about an hour," he taps on his watch. "Now you don't go getting into trouble."
He scoffs and heads for the door. You tempo your breath as the goosebumps prickle over you in waves. Your clothes are soaked through. The door snaps shut and you huff.
There's not much you can do. You close your eyes again. You're not going to sleep but you'll save your energy. As you languish in the slow drip of water pattering onto the plastic, your clothes grow stale and tepid. The wet fabric is sandpaper on your skin.
He returns, whistling. He doesn't acknowledge you as he sets up in the kitchen. He puts his earbuds in the case and lets his music blast from the speaker. It's the kind of rock music a teenager listens to when they try to show off.
You don't move. You're not going to let him see you squirm. He rattles around in the kitchen.
"Gotta get lots of protein after a workout," he calls through as a pan sizzles. The aromas crawl over you and fill your lungs. Your tongue floods with saliva. "Lots of eggs, bacon, hm, oh Steve got the good greek yogurt."
You don't answer his mocking monologue. You know what he's doing. Well if he thinks you've never gone hungry, that's his own martyr complex fueling his ego.
He comes out with a full plate and sits across from you. He plants his feet wide, his plate in one hand as he shovels greedily with the fork. He stuffs his mouth and hums.
You watch him calmly. He smirks and keeps pigging away on the food. There's enough for both of you and then some. You grimace.
"How are you feeling? Hungry?" He asks.
"Repulsed. You have grease on your chin."
He pokes his tongue as he try to lick it up. You nearly gag at the remnants of food in his mouth. You don’t, you won't, look away.
"I can hear your stomach," he says through a mouthful. "And your heart. Your lungs, too."
"Yeah, I know you're a freak. Do you even know how the Russian fucks mangled you or did that go out the window with all the murder?"
He gnashes his teeth down and narrows his eyes. His smile faded. It's your turn to grin.
"Real fucked up from what I saw. There were some leaked classified docs after that weirdo Sokovian went off and planted those bombs." You tisk. "Children? Really? That's really der--"
He's fast. Well, he is a super soldier. In an instant, he's in front of you, the plate is on the floor, and the fork is standing in your thigh as pain sears through your muscles.
You yipe then muffle it to a groan. You take a deep breath as your lashes flick and you stare at the blood staining around the tines. You exhale through your lips and look at him. You don't stop smiling.
You cackle, "hoooooo, I got you, Buck. I fucking got you."
He stands straight and kicks the plate, scattering whats left of the eggs and bacon. He stomps away and balls his fists, grumbling and snarling. You laugh if only to keep from whimpering.
There's pain beneath the swell of adrenaline. It's going to really hurt in a few minutes but right now, you feel great. You're awake.
📷
Bucky appears again. His hair is damp and his skin is speckled with the aftermath of a shower. He has only a towel around his waist. Are you supposed to be impressed?
He doesn't say a word as he moves around the apartment. He goes to the windows and looks out at the city. You stare at the couch dully. You're getting bored and your leg is throbbing.
He circles around as you raise your brows, biding off the fatigue. Suddenly, he's behind you. He reaches around a rips the fork free. You grunt as blood pools up and spreads further along the denim.
He wipes the tines on your sleeve, "I didn't get the artery, in case you're scared." He strides around and twirls the cutlery, "strange cause judging by your pulse, you're pretty fucking content with yourself."
"Ha, is that what you want, hm?" You pout mockingly. "You wanna make a girl's heart race. Poor widdle winter baby don't got no place in this world. He wants to be wanted--"
"You talk a pretty big game for someone as tiny as you are." He comes around and bends to look you in the eye. "What do you got going on? Who's going to even know you didn't make it home?"
You hiss through a gritted smile, "you say that like I care. I've been pretty honest with you and myself. Maybe try a bit of introspection."
"There's different types," he backs up and sits again. "The quiet ones. The violent ones. The talkers. Now, there's different kinds of talkers. The ones who threaten, then there's the ones who ramble. They talk so they don't gotta feel--"
"You got me, Mr. Barnes. I'm so fucking scared of you I'm gonna piss my pants. You wanna watch again?"
He chortles, "there ya go."
"There I go." You sneer. "What's the game plan here, buddy? Starve me out? Think it'll happen before baby boy gets back? You gonna save some for him? Let him know you saved his ass. For once it wasn't the other way around huh?"
"Shut up."
"Or maybe that's a bad plan, huh? Steve might lose his shit a little. Realise he's not untouchable. I mean, a worm like me crawled right in--"
"I said shut up," he snips.
"You said it, I'm a talker. I gotta talk so I don't shake in my boots. Must feel like a big man. I mean I don't got Hydra juice in my veins and you could snap me like a twig," you scoff. "It's gotta make you a little hard."
He tilts his head and squints, "you ever think of anything else?"
"Don't worry, you're not in here," you nod your head. "It's all for the Captain. Second best again, sergeant."
"You can't help yourself," he leans his elbows on his legs.
"Well, I broke in, didn't I? Pretty clear I'm a bit off--"
"No fucking shame."
"It's really weird, don't you think? We only talk about shame when it's a woman. Men, they can do whatever the fuck they want and they're called outgoing and brave or committed, whatever."
"Cut that shit," he snips.
"It's true. But maybe that's not what this is. Maybe this is something else. Something more personal. Maybe you're jealous," you try to shrug. "The winter bozo got no fans to stalk him. Mm, sad."
He stares at you then his gaze falls to your leg. He stands up and marches off. No answer. Typical. That's the thing about men, they can't admit when they're wrong. Can't own up to their faults but everyday a woman has to pay penance for just existing.
He stomps back to you and slaps his hand down on your injured leg. The burning sensation of his palm tears a yowl from your and you look down as thick grains of salt tumble out between his fingers. He mashes the salt into your wound. You gnash your teeth and grunt.
"FUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKK!" You seethe through your clamped jaw.
He laughs, "this is kinda fun." He puts his forehead against yours. "And I can't help but agree with you, doll. Why the fuck am I fighting my programming?" He squeezes your leg and you wheeze. "Let's get nice and cozy with the soldier. He's got all the good ideas."
You snort and twitch, halfway between agony and amusement. You push against him and snap your teeth.
"Finally, something interesting." You rasp.
He smirks and pushes of you. You groan as he turns cracks his neck. He tosses the salt onto the plastic sheet. You watch his metal hand open and close.
He spins and struts into the kitchen. He comes back with your notebook. A strike of rage swells in you. Fuck.
He stands in front of you and licks his fingertips. He clears his throat and flutters through the pages.
"'I went to his place. It's nice. Different than being outside. His bed is big, it's a wonder he never fucks in it. Seems like Cap is afraid of commitment.'" He guffaws. "You really think you know him?"
"Stream of consciousness." You utter.
"Sure," he skims the lines on the pages. "'I think I had my biggest O in his bed. Just with my fingers. I could smell him around me. If I closed my eyes, he was there--'"
He shifts and the towel twitches. Your lips slant. Disgusting.
"Do you really think he'd want to touch something like you?"
"I can draw a line between fact and fiction. How about you?" You chirp. "You can't even remember how many innocent people you killed--"
"It's getting old," he growls.
"Maybe Stevie won't want a piece. I'm not delusional, just obsessive. But you-" you nod to his crotch. "Seems like you're getting a bit too into this."
He lowers the notebook and grins. "You ever actually fucked a guy?"
"What does it matter?"
"Is that it? You think Steve wants to pluck the flower in your dusty little garden?"
"It was never--" you huff and wiggle in the chair. "Look, you don't get it. It was never supposed to be real. It's like a TV show. A distraction. Something to do."
"Wow, that's sad."
"Yeah, but it's the truth. A lot of people can't face themselves in the mirror."
"Oh virtue," he scoffs and throws the notebook on the couch behind him. "Is it honesty or self-pity?"
"Bit of both." You look up defiantly as he steps closer. "Look at me. I know what I am. I'm a creep but I don't deny it. What you are, you can't even say it out loud."
He exhales and his chest compressed. He puts his hands on his hips as he glowers at you. His towel tents and you frown.
"Dude, get that away from me."
"What's the matter? Is this the closest you've been?" He taunts.
You lean back and keep your eyes up, "I've seen a dick. Touched a few even. Trust me, I'm not interested."
"I could put on the suit. There's a back-up in his closet."
"Nasty."
"Look who's talking," he retorts. "You think I'm fucking serious?"
"I know the things you're capable of, soldat." You challenge.
His eyes flare and his knuckles flash across your vision, bone snapping against your cheek. You close your mouth as it floods with iron. You swallow the blood and wiggle a back tooth with your tongue. You snicker.
You face him as the swelling thrums hotly under the surface. He glares back at you. You lean back and round your eyes. You've never been good at that cutesy shit.
He smirks, "keep going, baby. We'll see who breaks first."
You lower your lashes and sniffle. He hovers and you steel yourself. You lurch forward and open your mouth. The chair tilts with your weight and you bite through the cotton as your teeth meet the towel. You pinch something beneath it. Him.
He exclaims and punches your head. He grunts as the chair tips and falls on its side. Your head bounces against the chair. The towel heaps next to you as he growls and cradles his erection.
"The fuck? You are deranged!"
"I told you to move back," you slur as silver stars spatter across your vision.
"Fucking bitch," he hisses and leaves you on the plastic. You laugh until it fades into a dry crackle. You hit your head pretty good and he got a few good shots in too.

“He’s a muggleborn too, I think that’s why she likes him,” James says, now talking to no one but himself and the ceiling. “He listens to all the same muggle music, watches films… they probably go do cool muggle things like fairs and refrigerators… ride airplanes…” “Mate, I don’t think you do a refrigerator.” James ignores him, barreling onwards. “Meanwhile, I’m stuck here, basking in the feeling of how soft her skin was on my bloody arm like a fool.”

Christmastime is hard. ~Lily~ Lily's life has recently exploded. She has moved twice in the last two months, broken up with a man she had thought she was going to marry, and is currently headed home to go to her sister's Christmas time wedding alone. Even though she and her sister argued over giving Lily a plus one quite explosively. And now she's got an asshole neighbor who basically shoved her down the stairs. ~James~ James has been in love with Marlene McKinnon since he was eleven. She has absolutely no interest in him, and his friends have tried just about everything they can think of to dissuade him from pinning for her. And his parents won't stop setting him up with their friends grandchildren. Because they're old and they think James needs help. What if someone were to assume that the two of them were dating when they're spotted in the airport together? What if they didn't correct them? What if they used their easy chemistry and proximity to make Christmastime that much easier for the both of them?

“So,” she says after a moment, her voice light, “is this a thing you do? Invite girls to kill themselves on a run after you find them crying. Or am I special?” Sirius laughs. It’s a sharp sound, almost surprised, but it makes her stomach loosen. “You’re special,” he says dryly, finally turning to look at her properly. He watches her for a beat longer than she expects, like he’s searching for something in her face—some answer she doesn’t know how to give. Whatever it is, he seems to find it.

Ahhh so many thoughts so I'm gonna utilize the read more function
“Oh, absolutely,” Bradley replied, his voice laced with mock encouragement. “She’s single. And you’re you, right? What could possibly go wrong?” He tipped his glass, hiding the grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. Jake chuckled, straightening his shoulders and adjusting his stance like he was walking into battle. “You’re not wrong, Rooster. I’m irresistible.” He set his beer on the counter and took a deep breath, the picture of confidence. “Wish me luck.” Bradley raised his glass in a silent toast. “Oh, you’re gonna need it,” he muttered under his breath, watching as Jake strode across the bar like a man on a mission.
Ahahah not Bradley trying to get Jake into hot water on purpose 😅
Maverick smirked, clearly enjoying the show, but didn’t say a word. Penny raised an eyebrow at Maverick, who simply shrugged, leaving you to handle the situation.
Everyone is just enjoying the show 🤭
Before Jake could respond, Maverick spoke up, his voice casual but carrying just enough weight to make Jake pause. “Hangman, you do know who her father is, right?” Jake’s grin didn’t falter—much. “No,” he said confidently. “Should I?”
If Maverick ask like that, you probably should 😅
“Dead serious.” Jake started toward you again, then stopped to look back at Bradley, his smirk now full-blown. Bradley shook his head, half in disbelief and half in amusement. “This is going to end so badly, and I can’t wait to see it.”
Bradley is ready to get the popcorn 😂
“Not even a little,” you shot back, though the corner of your mouth twitched like you were fighting a smile. Jake chuckled, undeterred. “Good. Wouldn’t be worth it if it were easy.”
He likes a challenge
You finally looked at him, your eyes narrowing. “If you already knew that, why are you still here?” Jake shrugged, his gaze unwavering. “Because you’re gorgeous, and I don’t scare off that easily. Besides,” he added with a wink, “I like a good challenge.”
Called it 🤭
Jake picked up his beer, taking a long sip. “She’s just playing hard to get.” Bradley snorted. “She’s not playing, man. She’s actually hard to get.”
Haha Bradley (trying) to get Jake back on the ground is just hilarious 😂
Jake glanced over his shoulder at you, catching the way you smiled at something Maverick said. A genuine, soft smile, not the guarded one you’d given him. His smirk softened just a fraction as he turned back to Bradley.
👀
You tilted your head, studying him. “Distract me, huh? And what makes you think you’re qualified for the job?” Jake smirked, leaning forward slightly. “Because, darlin’, distraction is what I do best."
I love their bickering 🤭
“My name’s not sweetheart. And why should I?” you shot back, arching an eyebrow. “You seem to like the chase.” Jake chuckled, holding your gaze. “Maybe I do. But it’s not just the chase that’s got me sticking around.” You blinked, caught off guard by the sincerity in his tone. For a moment, you didn’t know how to respond.
Their back and forth is just such a good match, that either of them being caught off guard is even more confusing 🤭
You sighed, glancing down at your drink. “He’s…persistent.” “That he is,” Penny agreed, leaning against the bar. “But he’s also not as one-dimensional as he might seem.” You raised an eyebrow. “Meaning what? That he’s not just some cocky pilot who thinks he’s God’s gift to women? Cause that’s what everyone around here is saying.” Penny chuckled. “Oh, he’s definitely cocky. But there’s more to him. He’s loyal, sharp as a tack, and surprisingly thoughtful when he wants to be.”
Penny being an advocate for Jake? I didn't see that coming
You couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped you. “Okay, Jake. You’ve got my attention. Now what?” His grin softened into something more genuine. “Now I get to know you.”
Why is that so cute?! 🥰
He paused for a moment, as if considering his options. Then he asked, “What’s something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t gotten the chance to yet?” The question caught you off guard. It wasn’t what you’d expected—not some flirty remark or shallow small talk, but an actual question. Thoughtful. Genuine.
Me, taking notes for my next date 📝
You rolled your eyes, but there was no real heat behind it. “You were doing so well. Why ruin it?” He laughed, leaning back in his chair. “Just being honest.”
Urgh who knew Jake had it in him 🥰
I absolutely loved this! 👏🏻😍 Please tag me, if you ever decide to write a part 2 🫶🏻
Chasing You
Pairing: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x AFAB Reader
Summary: At The Hard Deck Jake Seresin spots a stunning woman who he has no business getting involved with. But he doesn’t know that yet. When he figures out her father is an admiral, his interest only deepens. But she’s not as easily impressed as Jake may have hoped. Will he win her over? Or will the chase be more than he bargained for?
Warnings: I don't think there are any :)

The Hard Deck was filled with its usual noise, a mix of laughter, clinking glasses, and the soft background music coming from the jukebox. Jake Seresin leaned against the far back wall, beer in hand, casually scanning the room figuring out who he wanted to spend his evening talking to.
His gaze stopped when he caught sight of a woman talking to Maverick and Penny near the corner of the bar. She was laughing, her smile lighting up the space, and Jake’s interest was instantly piqued.
“Hey, Bradshaw,” Jake nudged Bradley. “Who’s that?” He tilted his head toward the girl.
Bradley glanced over his shoulder, following Jake’s line of sight. When he spotted you, a knowing grin spread across his face. “Oh, her?” he said, his voice carefully casual.
“Yeah, her.” Jake’s tone was dripping with curiosity—and something more. “She’s gorgeous. You know her?”
Bradley turned fully toward Jake now, feigning thoughtfulness. “Actually, I do. She’s real sweet.” He paused for effect, letting the words sink in before adding with just enough sincerity to be dangerous, “I think you should go talk to her.”
Jake raised an eyebrow, clearly weighing the risks. “You serious?”
“Wish me luck.”
Bradley raised his glass in a silent toast. “Oh, you’re gonna need it,” he muttered under his breath, watching as Jake strode across the bar like a man on a mission.
As Jake approached, you looked up and met his eyes, your smile widening slightly. Maverick and Penny exchanged a glance, their conversation stalling as they noticed the incoming pilot.
“Hey,” Jake started, his southern drawl turned up to full charm mode. “I don’t mean to interrupt, but I couldn’t help noticing you from across the room. I’m Jake.”
Maverick smirked, clearly enjoying the show, but didn’t say a word. Penny raised an eyebrow at Maverick, who simply shrugged, leaving you to handle the situation.
“Nice to meet you, Jake,” you replied, your tone friendly but guarded.
Before Jake could respond, Maverick spoke up, his voice casual but carrying just enough weight to make Jake pause. “Hangman, you do know who her father is, right?”
Jake’s grin didn’t falter—much. “No,” he said confidently. “Should I?”
“Probably,” Maverick replied, leaning back with a smirk, “he’s sitting over there.”
Jake’s head snapped to the other side of the bar, where Cyclone was seated, his gaze locked on Jake like a hawk sizing up prey.
Jake turned back to you, his confidence shaken but not broken. “You know,” he said with a sheepish laugh, “I think I might’ve left my beer at the pool table. Don’t go anywhere, though.”
Back at the pool table, Bradley was doubled over, laughing so hard he could barely breathe. Jake smacked him on the shoulder, muttering, “You’re a real piece of work, Rooster.”
“Worth it,” Bradley managed between laughs. "You retreating already, Bagman?” Bradley teased, his grin wide and smug.
Jake grabbed his beer and took a long sip before setting it down with exaggerated nonchalance. He leaned casually against the pool table, a smirk playing at his lips.
“Retreat?” Jake scoffed, turning his head to glance back in your direction. “Nah, Rooster. I’m just regrouping.”
Bradley’s eyebrows shot up. “Oh yeah? And what exactly is the plan now?”
Jake’s smirk widened into something almost wicked as he turned back towards the bar, fixing his collar and brushing his fingers through his hair. “Simple,” he said, his drawl thick and smooth. “I’m going to get her number.”
Bradley barked out a laugh, nearly spilling his drink. “You’re serious?”
“Dead serious.” Jake started toward you again, then stopped to look back at Bradley, his smirk now full-blown.
Bradley shook his head, half in disbelief and half in amusement. “This is going to end so badly, and I can’t wait to see it.”
You noticed Jake approaching again and sighed inwardly, though a small smirk tugged at your lips. He was persistent, you’d give him that. You had half expected him to give up once he realized who your dad was. You thought the line about forgetting his drink was him tucking his tail between his legs.
You glanced over at your dad who was still seated on the other side of the bar, his gaze heavy as he followed Jake’s movements back towards you.
“Back already?” you asked, raising an eyebrow as he stopped in front of you.
Jake leaned casually on the bar, his smirk as charming as ever. “Couldn’t stay away,” he said smoothly. “Hard to ignore someone as beautiful as you.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t entirely suppress the faint blush that you knew was on your cheeks. “Is this your usual routine? Flash a smile, throw out some compliments, and hope for the best?”
“Depends,” Jake said, his grin widening. “Is it working?”
“Not even a little,” you shot back, though the corner of your mouth twitched like you were fighting a smile.
Jake chuckled, undeterred. “Good. Wouldn’t be worth it if it were easy.”
You turned your head back toward Maverick and Penny, clearly dismissing him. If he was just looking for a quick lay for the night he could find it with someone else.
But instead of walking away, Jake stayed put, leaning against the bar like he had all the time in the world.
“Still here? Let me guess,” you said without looking at him. “You’re one of those pilots, aren’t you?”
Jake’s grin only grew. “Guilty as charged. And you? Let me guess…Cyclone’s daughter?”
You finally looked at him, your eyes narrowing. “If you already knew that, why are you still here?”
Jake shrugged, his gaze unwavering. “Because you’re gorgeous, and I don’t scare off that easily. Besides,” he added with a wink, “I like a good challenge.”
“Good luck with that,” you said, turning your back on him completely.
Jake laughed softly to himself, taking the hint—for now. He walked back to the back of the bar where the pool tables were and stopped beside Bradley, who was watching the whole exchange with poorly hidden amusement.
“She shut you down, didn’t she?” Bradley asked, grinning.
Jake picked up his beer, taking a long sip. “She’s just playing hard to get.”
Bradley snorted. “She’s not playing, man. She’s actually hard to get.”
Jake glanced over his shoulder at you, catching the way you smiled at something Maverick said. A genuine, soft smile, not the guarded one you’d given him. His smirk softened just a fraction as he turned back to Bradley.
“Even better,” Jake said, leaning against the bar. “That just means she’s worth it.”
Bradley raised an eyebrow, surprised by the sincerity in Jake’s tone. “You’re really not giving up, huh?”
Jake’s smirk returned, but there was a glint of something more genuine in his eyes. “Not a chance.”
A few weeks later The Hard Deck was once again buzzing. It was Friday night, and the sound of voices and clinking glasses filled the air. Jake was nursing a beer at the bar, laughing at one of Coyote’s bad jokes, when his eyes landed on you.
You were seated at a small table outside near the edge of the patio, absently twirling a straw in your drink as you stared out at the ocean. This time, you weren’t surrounded by Maverick, Penny…or your father thankfully.
“Hangman,” Coyote said, nudging him. “You listening?”
Jake didn’t even glance his way. “Yeah, yeah,” he muttered, already rising to his feet.
Coyote followed his line of sight and smirked. “Oh, this should be good. You really going to try this again? You know who her dad is right?”
Jake didn’t respond, just shot him a wink before making his way toward you.
You noticed him approaching out of the corner of your eye and sighed. Of course, he was coming over. It wasn’t like you hadn’t expected it, but you’d hoped he might take the hint after the last time that you weren’t interested.
“Evening,” Jake said smoothly, sliding into the seat across from you without waiting for an invitation.
You raised an eyebrow, leaning back in your chair. “What are you doing?”
“Just keeping you company,” he said, flashing that infuriatingly perfect grin.
You gave him a flat look. “Who said I wanted company?”
“Call it a hunch,” Jake replied, unfazed. “You looked like you could use someone to talk to. Or, you know, someone to distract you.”
You tilted your head, studying him. “Distract me, huh? And what makes you think you’re qualified for the job?”
Jake smirked, leaning forward slightly. “Because, darlin’, distraction is what I do best.”
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t entirely hide the amusement that flickered across your face. “You’re persistent, I’ll give you that.”
“Gotta be with someone like you,” Jake said, his tone softer now. “You’re not exactly making it easy for me sweetheart, are you?”
“My name’s not sweetheart. And why should I?” you shot back, arching an eyebrow. “You seem to like the chase.”
Jake chuckled, holding your gaze. “Maybe I do. But it’s not just the chase that’s got me sticking around.”
You blinked, caught off guard by the sincerity in his tone. For a moment, you didn’t know how to respond.
“Well,” you said finally, reaching for your drink, “if you’re expecting someone to go home with you, I’m not her. There’s a cute blonde at the bar in the pink dress that might be interested though.”
Jake grinned, leaning back in his chair. “Who said I was looking for someone to go home with me?”
He stood, giving you a quick two-finger salute before heading back to the bar. You watched him go, shaking your head.
For the first time, you found yourself wondering if maybe—just maybe—there was more to Jake Seresin than his charm and good looks.
The ocean breeze lost its appeal as the night wore on, and you found yourself wandering back inside The Hard Deck, craving the warmth and the noise of the bar. You sidled up to the counter, setting your empty glass down with a soft clink.
Penny caught your eye from behind the bar and made her way over with her usual easy smile. “Refill?”
You nodded. “Just a soda, thanks.”
She grabbed the glass and began filling it, her movements practiced and smooth. As you waited, your gaze drifted across the room—right to Jake Seresin, who was leaning casually against the far end of the bar, laughing at something Coyote had said.
You quickly looked away, but not before Penny caught the direction of your stare.
“So,” she began, sliding the refilled glass back to you, “what do you think of him?”
You blinked, playing innocent. “Of who?”
Penny’s lips curved into a knowing smile as she wiped down the counter. “Jake’s been orbiting you all night.”
You sighed, glancing down at your drink. “He’s…persistent.”
“That he is,” Penny agreed, leaning against the bar. “But he’s also not as one-dimensional as he might seem.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Meaning what? That he’s not just some cocky pilot who thinks he’s God’s gift to women? Cause that’s what everyone around here is saying.”
Penny chuckled. “Oh, he’s definitely cocky. But there’s more to him. He’s loyal, sharp as a tack, and surprisingly thoughtful when he wants to be.”
You scoffed lightly, though the words lingered in your mind. “Thoughtful, huh? Doesn’t seem like the type.”
Penny tilted her head, studying you with an amused glint in her eyes. “Maybe you haven’t given him the chance to show you that side of him.”
You sighed again, fiddling with your straw. “To answer your question, he’s…fine, I guess.”
“Just fine?” Penny teased, arching an eyebrow. “You were staring pretty hard for ‘just fine.’”
Your cheeks flushed, and you quickly took a sip of your soda to hide your embarrassment. “I wasn’t staring.”
“Of course not,” Penny said, her tone light and teasing. “But if you were, I’d say maybe it’s worth it to give him a chance.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress the small smile tugging at your lips. “We’ll see.”
Penny winked at you before moving on to another customer, leaving you to your thoughts.
From the corner of your eye, you caught Jake glancing in your direction, his grin widening when your eyes met. You quickly looked away, cursing the heat rising to your cheeks.
As much as you hated to admit it, Penny’s words stuck with you. Maybe there was more to Jake Seresin.
Or maybe you just weren’t ready to find out yet.
You were halfway through your soda when you glanced over again, catching Jake in the middle of another laugh with Coyote. He leaned back against the bar, looking so relaxed and self-assured that it almost annoyed you. Almost.
When his gaze shifted, locking onto yours, your stomach flipped. His grin stretched wider as if he could see right through you. You quickly looked down, pretending to focus on the melting ice in your glass.
Moments later, you caught movement out of the corner of your eye.
“Need a refill?” Jake’s voice drawled, smooth as ever.
You looked up to find him standing beside you, one hand resting casually on the bar. His emerald-green eyes sparkled with mischief, but there was something else there too—something that wasn’t as easy to dismiss.
Your first instinct was to brush him off again, but Penny’s earlier words echoed in your mind. Maybe you hadn’t given him a chance. Maybe you should.
“Sure,” you said finally, surprising even yourself. You pushed the empty glass toward him. “Knock yourself out.”
Jake blinked, momentarily caught off guard by your agreement. Then his grin returned, slow and satisfied, like he’d just won a small victory.
“Coming right up,” he said, grabbing your glass and heading back to the bar.
When he returned, he set the drink in front of you with a little flourish. “One soda. Extra ice, just how you like it.”
You raised an eyebrow. “And how would you know how I like it?”
He shrugged, leaning against the edge of the table. “Lucky guess…or I may have had some help from Penny.”
You couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped you. “Okay, Jake. You’ve got my attention. Now what?”
His grin softened into something more genuine. “Now I get to know you.”
You tilted your head, intrigued despite yourself. “And how do you plan to do that?”
Jake pulled out the chair across from you and sat down, his movements unhurried. “By asking you questions,” he said simply. “And, if I’m lucky, you might actually answer them.”
You sipped your drink, studying him. “Fine. Go ahead. Ask away.”
He paused for a moment, as if considering his options. Then he asked, “What’s something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t gotten the chance to yet?”
The question caught you off guard. It wasn’t what you’d expected—not some flirty remark or shallow small talk, but an actual question. Thoughtful. Genuine.
You hesitated, then shrugged. “I don’t know. Travel, I guess. There’s a lot of the world I haven’t seen yet.”
Jake nodded, his gaze never leaving yours. “Any place in particular?”
“Greece,” you said, the word slipping out before you could stop it. “I’ve always wanted to see the islands. The history, the views… It just seems like it’d be beautiful.”
“It is,” Jake said, surprising you again.
“You’ve been?”
“Once,” he admitted. “A couple of years ago. Only for a few days, but it was incredible. The water’s so blue it doesn’t even seem real.”
For the first time, you found yourself genuinely curious about him. “What were you doing there?”
“Just passing through on leave,” he said with a shrug. “But I’d go back in a heartbeat. Maybe next time I’ll stay longer.”
You cleared your throat, glancing down at your drink. “Okay, your turn. What’s something you haven’t done yet?”
Jake smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling. “Convince you to let me take you on a date.”
You rolled your eyes, but there was no real heat behind it. “You were doing so well. Why ruin it?”
He laughed, leaning back in his chair. “Just being honest.”
For the first time, you found yourself smiling back. Maybe Penny had been right. Maybe there was more to Jake Seresin than you’d thought.
Note: This is my first time writing any fanfiction that's more than a paragraph or two. And is also my first time sharing or posting what I wrote so I would love to know what you guys think!
I am also considering maybe writing a second part of this that shows you finally giving Jake a chance if there's interest??

A Father's Nightmare
Request: Hi!!!!
OMG I am obsessed with Twisters!!!!!!
I was wondering if I could please request a Tyler Owens x daughter reader where Tyler and his daughter are at a rodeo and a tornado happens but they get separated so Tyler isn’t able to find the reader until after the storm.
maybe the reader is like 5 or so?
totally your choice and it is no pressure and feel free to change anything
thank you
Pairings: Tyler Owens x Daughter!Reader
Warnings: angst, fluff, tornadoes, cursing
Masterlist
When Tyler found out he was having a child he was ecstatic and when you arrived, he was even more ecstatic. The team loved you and were surprised that Tyler actually had a child but took you in with open arms. Your mother was never in the picture since it was a one-night stand with your father and when she told him she was having you, he stayed with her and when you were born, she took off. Tyler was devastated but he had you and that was perfectly alright with him. If you ask him, he would say that you two were better off without her and that you're the most important thing to him and nothing was going to change that even if he dated other women besides your mom, then again you were too young to know who your mother was anyways.
When the team went chasing you usually stayed in the van with Dexter and Dani. Most of the time you were with your dad in his truck with Boone while not chasing. You loved the chasing of the storms always had and always will. You had been through so many states probably more than any kid your age and you loved it. Each time you got a souvenir from the state either from your dad, the team, or everyone. Your room back at your home was full and it just kept growing especially thanks to your dad that knew how to make more storage.
Currently you are heading to Oklahoma. You had a passenger with you, a reporter from London, Ben is his name and you liked him especially his accent. You loved listening to him talk. “Dad?” You asked from your booster seat.
“Yes, Sweetie?” He asked looking in the rear-view mirror.
“I'm hungry.” You said and he chuckled.
“Uncle Boone has some snacks for you.” He said and you lit up and Boone smiled as he pulled out Goldfish and turned around to give them to you.
“There you go my favorite Owens.” He said
“I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that.” Tyler said and Boone chuckled and turned to him as you watched them as they bickered.
“I mean, Tyler. C'mon on man. You're handsome but you can't beat that cuteness back there.” Boone said and Tyler knew he couldn't argue with that.
“You're right. Nobody can compete with that.” He said looking at you through the rear-view mirror as you watched him and munched on your Goldfish and offered some to Ben who gladly and politely took what you were offering to him.
—
By the time you had arrived at a gas station in Oklahoma you were fast asleep. Tyler didn't want to move you or wake you but you needed to be transferred to the RV. So, after he met the crowd and got them hyped up, he went over to you and carefully and skillfully got you out of the truck and transferred to the RV and now it was time to go chasing. You only woke up when you started moving and noticed you were in the car with Dexter. “Dex?” You asked and he briefly turned to look at you.
“Hey, Sweetheart.” He said and turned back to the road.
“Daddy?” You asked
“He's in the truck in front of us.” He said and satisfied with that answer you went back to doing your own thing. Your own thing was looking around at the scenery and the tornado up ahead and you got really excited. Your eyes widened in excitement and you loved every second of it. When the chase was over everyone was parking and celebrating and your dad held you and paid attention to you.
Throughout the days you were there you hardly rode with your dad for safety reasons. Whenever you weren't chasing you were in your dad’s arms just being with him. You got stares but he ignored them and had his attention on you and only on you. One tornado tore through a town and instead of chasing like your dad had planned you were heading to town to help people out. As he was helping the town out, he stuck you with Dexter who was handing out food and dealing with merchandise by the RV. You had a clear view of your dad and some lady. You watched him intently and could tell they were arguing and that made you upset but didn't say anything. After you were done there, everyone was heading back to the motel. Once everyone was settled in and became dark out Tyler got word of a rodeo and decided to take you there along with the girl he was talking to “Come here, Sweetie.” He said picking up.
“Where are we going?” You asked as he walked towards his truck.
“We're going to a rodeo.” He said as he opened the truck.
“A rodeo?” You asked confused but excited.
“Yup, a rodeo.” He said starting to buckle you in.
“Are there going to be horses there?” You asked excitedly and he chuckled. Ever since you were little horses have always excited you.
“Yup there are going to be horses there.” He confirmed.
“Yay!” You said as he finished buckling you. He smiled and kissed your forehead and then got in the front seat.
“We need to make a stop first.” He said and you nodded at him as he took off driving. It wasn't that far until he was pulling into a spot and then quickly got you out. “Hold my hand.” He said and you nodded latching onto it. You didn't say anything as you walked up stairs to a door and he knocked. “Hi.” He said and the woman looked at him.
“Hi.” She said and then she noticed you.
“This is my daughter, Y/N.” He said “Y/N this is Kate.” He added and you looked at her and became insanely shy and zoned out on the conversation at hand. Next thing you knew you were being picked up and carried. You kept staring at Kate as you walked to the truck and he buckled you in. It wasn't a very far drive to the rodeo and you were silent. “Sorry she gets shy.” He said.
“You don't need to apologize. I get it.” Kate said as he parked the truck. He got out and then got you out.
“Hold my hand, remember.” He said and you nodded.
“Ok, Daddy.” You said quietly and grabbed his hand. The three of you walked into the grounds. “Daddy, I'm hungry.” You said as he looked down at you.
“Alright, we'll get you something. Anything you want?” He asked
“Surprise me.” You said giggling.
“Anything for my girl.” He said and Kate looked at the two of you smiling. Tyler got something for you and a drink and then you were heading to find seats. You found them and sat mainly on his lap but had moved over to his side. The rodeo started and you were in awe as you ate. Kate and Tyler talked and you tuned them and every now and then excitedly got your dad's attention.
“Daddy! Daddy! Look!” You said and he looked at a beautiful horse.
“I see, Sweetie. He's beautiful.” He said and you nodded as he watched your eyes light up. When the bull riding came up and a friend of your dad's signaled to him, he saw you and waved at you and you excitedly waved back. You snuggled into your dad still intently watching and food having been eaten. The barrel racing started and you were so excited it was your favorite. That was going on for a while and then the wind started to pick up, you knew what that meant and looked at your dad who looked at you and then Kate.
“Are you tracking anything out here?” She asked and when he didn't reply she knew her answer. Suddenly everyone's phones started to go off and the overhead speakers were going off. As the thunder and lightning lit up the sky you saw the tornado and got really scared.
“Daddy.” You whined and he could hear how scared you were in your voice.
“It's going to be ok. Stay close to us.” He said and you nodded and then chaos erupted and everyone was rushing to take cover. You were carried down the steps and set on the ground. You grabbed your dad's hand but your little legs couldn't keep up.
“Daddy!” You yelled out but didn't hear him over the chaos. You stood frozen and started to cry.
“Hey, you ok?” A couple asked and you recognized them as the ones that sat behind you on the bleachers.
“I lost my daddy.” You said as the woman picked you up.
“He was sitting in front of us, right?” Her husband asked and you nodded.
“Yea.” You said
“Ok, ok. We're going to keep calm and take shelter and we'll find him afterwards.” She said and you nodded and buried your head into her shoulder. The three of you took shelter and now it was time to ride the tornado out. You were shaking and freaking out. The woman and man comforted you but you really wanted your dad.
—
Tyler and Kate moved together. “Stay with me.” He said “Y/N?” He asked not feeling the weight of your hand in his and that made him look down and he froze. You weren't with him.
“Tyler!” Kate said as she felt him stop.
“Y/N! Y/N is not here!” He panicked and that made her go rigid.
“Oh shit!” She shouted over the commotion and she didn't know what to do. As he started to shout your name and look around.
“We need to find her!” He said and started to backtrack but she stopped him.
“I want to find her too but right now safety is the key right now. Let's get to safety. Maybe someone took her to safety.” She said as she was urging him to move.
“If she ends up being hurt or worse. I will never forgive you.” He said and started to move and it hurt Kate to hear that but she understood it. They got most of everyone to safety inside a pool including a mother and child and that just made Tyler 10x more anxious he needed and wanted to find you. For the first time since the first tornado, he witnessed he was terrified.
The tornado seemed to last forever but it was only a few minutes and it was over. He uncovered Kate and then stood up and the search for you began. He was quick to get out of the pool and started to look for you. He was calling out your name but got nothing back and that scared him. He was close to tears in fact he knew some slipped out. “Y/N!” He yelled out starting to lift debris and hoping you weren't under there but knew he had to check.
“Tyler!” Dani yelled and he turned to look at her.
“Y/N is missing. Please help me.” He pleaded and she nodded.
“Ok ok. Let's keep calm. I'll get the others to help. We'll find her.” She said and he nodded. She took off from him and he resumed his search. He started towards the fairgrounds.
“Y/N!” He yelled out looking under debris and people that were hurt. He asked people if they had seen you and showed a picture of you and they shook their heads. He sent a pain throughout his chest; he was close to giving up but knew he had to find you if he didn’t, he would never forgive himself or Kate since she made him leave you. As he was yelling out your name and looking through the wreckage, he was becoming pissed at Kate for making him leave you. Who knew where you were, you could be hurt and scared or wish dead, he wasn’t going to think about the second one though he would be lost without you. “Y/N!” He yelled in a desperate tone. He could faintly hear the others calling out your name too. He was about to look in another place when a voice, your voice caught his attention.
“Daddy!” You yelled out and he straightened up and looked around trying to find the source, if there was one.
“Y/N!” He yelled your name again and waited to hear you call back again hoping his ears weren’t playing tricks on him.
“Daddy!” You yelled out and again and he was rushing to the sound tripping over stuff along the way. “Daddy!” Your voice carried to him. He was close.
“Y/N if you can hear my voice, come to me Baby Girl!” He yelled out and sure enough you did and you were accompanied by two people, a husband and wife he assumed.
“Daddy!” You yelled and he kneeled down as you ran into his arms throwing your arms around his neck and he hugged you tightly. Tyler started to cry and he was never going to deny that. Almost losing you was the scariest part of his life.
“Oh, thank goodness. You're alive. I was so worried.” He said burying his head into your neck. You started to cry as well. “I should've just picked you up when we started evacuating.” He said as the couple came up to him. He looked up at them with tears in his eyes “Thank you. Thank you so much. How can I repay you?” He asked and they shook their heads.
“No need. We were able to get your little girl back to you. Seeing you happy is all you need to repay us with.” The man said and Tyler nodded as he stood up with you in his arms and you clung to him and buried your head into his neck.
“She's a really sweet girl.” The woman said and he smiled and nodded while sniffling.
“She really is.” He let out a watery laugh. “I would be lost without her.” He said.
“Well now you're both safe and reunited. We can rest easy knowing so.” The man said and all three of them smiled. Tyler shook their hands and you, him, and the couple took off. He started walking back towards the group.
“Y/N!” You heard Boone's voice and looked over his way but went back to hiding in your father's neck.
“Thank goodness you found her.” Dexter said as everyone came to the two of you.
“Yea a couple had her and made sure she was safe.” Tyler said, rubbing his hand up and down your back. “I think after this we will take some time off. I need some time with my girl.” He said and everyone nodded.
“That sounds like a good plan.” Lily said of course they would feel sad about it but they understood it since Tyler was close to losing you.
“Let's go head in for the night.” He said and everyone agreed. Tyler took you to the truck that somehow managed to survive, and buckled you. Everyone else rode together; they knew he needed time with you. When the two of you arrived back to the motel, he was quickly shutting the engine off and scooping you up. Without a word he carried you to the room and opened the door and shut it and turned around getting ready to grab your pajamas.
“Daddy.” You said and he was quick to turn and face you.
“Yes, Baby Girl?” He asked, kneeling in front of you.
“I love you.” You said and he smiled as tears sprang to his eyes.
“I love you too, Baby.” He said hugging you and you hugged him back. After a minute he pulled away and the both of you got ready for bed. He laid down and you snuggled underneath him. Tonight was a scary night and he almost lost you but you were safe and unharmed with him now and that's all that matters. Once he knew you were sound asleep, he let himself fall asleep. As he was drifting off, he whispered “I'll always protect you as long as you let me.” and then laid a kiss to your forehead which caused you to snuggle into him more. Tyler finally fell asleep with you safe in his arms. He would deal with everything tomorrow but right now he just wanted to be with you and only.

The Burning Hell that is Yingdu Episode 6
(Part 3)
Just to add to the last part of my thoughts
Wtf do you mean Vein died from a sudden myocardial infarction- no seriously, what in the actual f*ck ??!!??!! Like, immediately I was in the chat like, "I bet that's the fake death ability"
He's onto some shady sh*t for sure...... I just knew it from that expression. Sh*t is still gonna go down
And thanks to my panic-attack-like reaction, I actually stayed until after the ending, and apparently lady luck was on my side cause
I F*cking knew it !!!!!!!! There is more than sudden myocardial infarction-
( don't mind me being a bit more agitated today )
It's Liu Xiao......! The ring......!!!!!! So I was right - they have been conspiring with each other this whole episode !!!!!!
I Knew it !!!!!!
Thankfully I didn't start bawling before seeing this, cause I would've sued Director Li for emotional damage.😌
But one scary fact is....
Either he really went missing to do his own thing, or he's back with Liu Xiao and Vein in hiding preparing for their debut again in season 3, but damn I saw the phone and the Emma flashbacks immediately came back...will probably start theorizing once I've cleared my mind a bit, but atleast I'm not wrong about the Liu Xiao and Vein cooperation part I think.
Still though, wtf did we just go through

✨️ The Philverse Lore Masterpost ✨️
So I planned on making this a while ago and forgot but now I'm doing it.
And the formatting of this post MAY change in the future (like me providing other reference links and such for each Phil), but for now I'm gonna keep it simple.
This post is an explanation of how the Philza Cinematic Universe(tm) works, along with some widely accepted fanon things. It will update as cc!Phil changes things or canonizes new ones.
"Main" rp!Phil
"Main" Phil is Hardcore (hc) Phil, SMP Earth (smpe) Phil, DSMP (c) Phil, and QSMP (q) Phil. This is also the Phil that The Beginning by MaepleTea features.
It's important to note here that rp!Phil is canonically immortal (this is probably true for ALL rp!Phils, not just "main" Phil, cc!Phil has said things along these lines on multiple occasions in the past).
cc!Phil has described rp!Phil has hundreds of years old, though we have no idea how many centuries he's been alive. What we've seen is more or less just the last decade of his life, unless cc!Phil chooses to construct a timeline that says otherwise.
The timeline goes something like this:
HCS2 -> SMPE -> HCS4 -> DSMP -> QSMP -> ???
Obviously it's not linear like that, HCS4 is simultaneously going on during SMPE, DSMP & QSMP. In roleplay, the canon explanation is that hc!Phil can travel to other universes through what is basically dreamwalking. This gets explicitly confirmed in QSMP lore.
In other words, the Hardcore World is rp!Phil's universe of origin. A common headcanon related to this is that all seasons of Hardcore are one universe, which resets itself each time rp!Phil dies. After each reset, rp!Phil retains his memories of the previous iteration and starts over again, but with new knowledge to avoid dying again.
A better way to visualize this timeline would be to refer to IRL dates, like this (click for better quality):
Note: I didn't include HCS3 because it lasted like two weeks. Consider it a blip in rp!Phil's long immortal lifespan, if anything. I also didn't include HCS1 because Phil basically never refers to it other than the way that it ended. Considering there wasn't really any lore about hc!Phil being a historian/explorer prior to HCS4 anyway, this is basically fine to assume.
All of the above being the same guy is canonically confirmed, either explicitly stated BY cc!Phil himself, or with undeniable implications within roleplay.
SMP Earth is the only one of these that gets a little iffy to call confirmed because it's never been explicitly stated and technically SMPE wasn't a roleplay server, BUT: Considering the references and parallels c!Emduo make when they move to the tundra to get away from the rest of the DSMP, it becomes pretty obvious it can be considered canon. There are also multiple occasions where c!Emduo refer to what they did during the Antarctic Empire times. Furthermore, and I'll reiterate this in a moment: q!Phil tells stories to Chayanne & Lullah of things he and rp!Techno did during SMPE.
HCS2 (more specifically Phil's death) obviously gets referred to constantly in and out of roleplay, making it canon whether cc!Phil wants/considers it to be or not. This is one of few deaths we know rp!Phil has experienced, if not the only one. I imply there may be multiple deaths here because I don't remember if cc!Phil confirmed that rp!Phil died at the end of The Beginning before being saved by Goddess of Death or not. If so, that means rp!Phil has died at least twice: then, and in HCS2.
QSMP is actually the key universe to all of these other Phils being connected, since that is where cc!Phil chose to do lore to confirm all of these are the same guy. Prior to QSMP, we only knew SMPE and DSMP were connected thanks to c!Emduo.
QSMP confirmed that q!Phil is hc!Phil formally via the dreamwalking lore. Additionally, prior to this lore being dropped, again: there were multiple instances in which q!Phil told Chayanne & Lullah stories from his time on SMPE. Obviously, if SMPE is canon to both DSMP and QSMP, then those two are also connected by default. These stories were not the only reference to DSMP made during QSMP either. Multiple previous DSMP members also canonized DSMP and QSMP being connected.
And during all of this, rp!Phil is dreamwalking from the Hardcore World to these other worlds.
Origins SMP Phil (o!Phil)
This version of Phil is his own separate guy with a fully unique story from "main" Phil.
While "main" Phil is an immortal historian and explorer from Hardcore that can travel to other worlds via his dreams, o!Phil is an even more avian-coded guy trying his hardest to be a villain but failing at it miserably /aff.
As confirmed by cc!Phil: o!Phil comes from a dirt poor family who didn't want him to suffer the horrific reality of living in poverty, so his parents spoiled him rotten to the point of making themselves suffer. They later mysteriously disappeared (and are likely now dead). o!Phil's story in-rp (eventually) begins with him searching for them.
o!Phil has no idea he's not actually the entitled royalty he thinks he is. He eventually bonds with o!Sneeg, who chooses to be a "villain" with him, and they have a whole riveting, silly, weird ass codependent besties thing going on for the rest of Origin's multiple reboots. Their friendship in OSMP is what inspired 1/3 of the current theories for tr!Phil, who I'll get to momentarily.
o!Phil also canonically appeared in Rats SMP as a guest, as did o!Sneeg. They were searching for each other in the wake of OSMP "ending" (read: dying, again), and this intensified the fandom's interpretation that they're inseparable/codependent. This cameo also confirmed that both o!Phil and o!Sneeg can travel universes like "main" Phil.
Another important note: Some Crows consider cc!Phil's cameo in Aimsey SMP (ASMP) to be o!Phil because they share very similar attitudes and penchants for material goods, especially "shiny things."
Squidcraft Phil (sc!Phil)
The easiest rp!Phil to explain. cc!Phil himself said that sc!Phil is an alternate timeline version of "main" Phil, specifically q!Phil.
This is probably only due to the fact that Missa and several other QSMP members were in 2023's Squidcraft event, and cc!Phil couldn't resist being an angsty little shit with Missa throughout the event until his elimination.
The Realm SMP Phil (tr!Phil)
As of early 2025 when I'm making this post, we have no idea how tr!Phil fits into the Philverse. cc!Phil explicitly states he has no plans or intentions whatsoever to do lore on TRSMP, even if he does roleplay with other players like Sneeg or Fit. Assuming he doesn't change his mind on that, the following is ENTIRELY what the fandom headcanons/theorizes is true.
There are 3 main interpretations for tr!Phil's origin and I explain those in depth in this post here!
If or when we get more to go off of, I will update this section of the post. :)
Bonus Note(s)
MCC
The MCYT fandom widely headcanons MCC as a weird multiverse Hunger Games type thing where Noxcrew and Scott Smajor, whatever kind of higher power they may be, drag MCYTs across several universes into their little liminal space/pocket universe type place and have them to compete in the championship.
There have been references to MCC in SMPs during moments of varying degrees of roleplay were occurring. In rp!Phil's case, it's safe to consider "main" Phil is the one who gets put into MCC.
None of this, to my memory, is considered canon by cc!Phil, just silly popular fanon.
(If/when we get more versions of rp!Phil, I'll add them wherever they belong in this post!)
