drew and actress!reader play the vanity fair game show
masterlist | actress!reader masterlist
based off the OBX3 interview + suggested by this ask <3
“I am Madelyn Cline and we are here to test how well we know each other.” Madelyn said into the camera, sitting in the “hot seat”. The rest of her OBX costars sat opposite her in two rows, shoulder to shoulder and grinning ear to ear. Drew sat in the back, along with Rudy, JD, and Austin, where y/n sat in the front with Madison, Carlacia, and Chase. Drew wore a light purple blazer, a color the boys had made sure to tease him for all day, but he didn’t mind. Y/n liked the color on him, so of course he was going to wear it.
“... and we’re the cast of Outer Banks!” Madison and Carlacia said, the rest of the cast joining them and waving at the camera. Madison put her head down with a giggle before composing herself and straightening up once more. Y/n could feel Drew’s fingers combing lightly through her hair, playing with the ends as they waited for the game to begin. She looked back at him, grinning at his long, tousled hair. He smiled back, his fingers continuing to run through her hair as they focused back on the game.
“Ok, first question: which astrological sign do I like the most other than mine?” Madelyn said, the end of her marker resting on her lip as she thought. Quickly, the room burst into shouts and guesses, everyone clamoring to win the very first point of the game. Drew stood from his chair, craning his neck to see what Madelyn’s card read.
“Hey, no cheating!” Y/n pointed at him, a mischievous smirk spreading across his face before he sat back down.
“I’m gonna say Gemini.” Drew said, raising his eyebrows as he glanced into the camera.
“Gemini women. Yes.” Madelyn replied, giving Drew the first point. The rest of the cast booed playfully, Drew patting himself on the back as Madelyn’s turn continued. Once she asked her last question, it was Drew’s turn in the hot seat.
“Y/n has to wait to answer.” JD said, the cast turning to y/n, her mouth falling open.
“That is definitely not in the rules!” Y/n laughed, rolling her eyes.
“Now they are.” Rudy said with a shrug.
“Ok, what is my secret talent? Bonus, where did I learn my talent?” Drew read, looking over the question card at his co-stars until his eyes met y/n’s. She narrowed her eyes, trying to read into what Drew was going to write on the card, after all, he was a man of many talents.
“Sleeping.” Carlacia said.
“You play piano?” Austin guessed.
“See what’s happening is you're just giving me a lot of ideas.” Drew said, taking the cap off of his marker as he prepared to finalize his answer.
“Oh, write it down, I know it.” Y/n said waving her hand for him to write faster. Once he finished, Drew looked at her to answer.
“Juggling.” She answered, Drew flipping the card around to reveal his answer: juggling/insomnia.
“Question two: what’s my favorite food?” Drew grinned, writing his answer down quickly.
“Mama Jodi’s casserole!” The cast said in unison, Drew nodding as he flipped the card around.
“Almost burned down the apartment complex cooking that one time.” Chase pointed out, causing Drew to gasp.
“That was actually y/n’s fault.” Drew said, pointing a finger at y/n who scoffed.
“You were the one that was distracting me!” Y/n shot back, raising her hands in surrender as she thought of the memory. It had been Drew’s birthday and y/n had decided to surprise him with his favorite casserole. However, the two of them had gotten so entranced in an intense game of Mario Kart that she completely forgot about the food in the oven… until the smoke alarm went off.
“Fine, I will take some blame… only a little bit.” Drew cracked a smile as he shuffled onto the next card.
“Last question: who is my celebrity crush?” Drew scowled, biting his lip as he thought.
“Y/n y/ln.” Rudy said quickly. A small smirk spread across Drew’s lips as he hurriedly wrote his answer down, the rest of the cast hooting and hollering as y/n covered her face with her hands and a flush spread to her cheeks.
“Yeah, that’s correct…” Drew said bashfully, scratching his jaw. “I don’t think she likes me though, if I’m being honest.”
“Definitely not.” Madelyn teased, nudging y/n’s arm playfully.
The game continued, each member of the cast having their turn into their hot seat until it was finally y/n’s turn.
“Drew has to wait to answer.” Y/n said, pointing at Drew. His mouth fell open, his competitive nature kicking in as he groaned.
“The rules, Starkey.” Austin said, shaking his shoulder lightly as y/n picked up her first card.
“What is my favorite movie?” Y/n asked, pausing to think of her answer before writing it down.
“La La Land? The Lego Movie? Moulin Rouge?” Chase guessed, attempting to rattle off as many guesses as possible.
“Pitch Perfect!” Madison said with a giggle, to which y/n nodded.
“Yes, very big Pitch Perfect fan.” Y/n responded. The cast had many memories of watching (and performing) the movie during quarantine when all of them were confined to their shared apartment complex.
“Next question: what is my go-to karaoke song?” Y/n raised her eyebrows as she wrote her answer down on the card.
“Something Taylor Swift, yeah?” Madelyn asked.
“Surprisingly, no.” Y/n laughed. Drew and y/n had hosted many karaoke nights in their shared apartment, the entire cast fitting onto their sofa to sing and dance the night away. The two of them had even gone as far as buying a karaoke machine, complete with mics and lights. It was quite a hit.
“Oh my god, I know it—” Rudy said, snapping his fingers as he searched for the right answer.
“Alanis Morisette...” Drew whispered, to which y/n scowled at him.
“You Oughta Know!” Madelyn cheered, stealing Rudy’s answer with a giggle.
“Yep, that’s right… thank you, Drew.” Y/n said, quirking an eyebrow at Drew who just smiled back. Y/n shuffled her cards for a moment, drawing out the final question.
“Oh boy, last one...” Y/n said dramatically, the cast letting out a string of “ooohs” as y/n cleared her throat.
“What’s my on set snack?” Y/n read, quickly scribbling down her answer as her co-stars looked between each other. Drew sat there, a smug grin on his face as he watched their castmates struggle to answer the very simple question.
“I literally had the same snack every single day.” Y/n said, hoping to direct her co-stars in the right direction.
“I never had the same break time as you two, that’s not fair!” Carlacia said, turning to face Drew who simply shrugged.
“The answer was pickles.” Y/n said, turning the card around to reveal her answer.
“What kind? We need specifics.” JD asked, quirking his brow.
“Dill. The ones in the bag.” Drew answered for y/n, who simply nodded.
“And with that, we are the cast of Outer Banks…” Y/n led, gesturing to her friends opposite her.
“Thanks for watching!” The cast said in unison, waving to the camera.

Billionaire on the Track MOMENTS-3 (Extras ✨)
(Racing Hearts : VOLUME ?) MASTERLIST : RACING HEARTS
The interview was going well—smooth, lighthearted, and full of the usual banter that came with Formula 1 media rounds. Charles leaned back in his seat, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips as the reporter posed the next question.
"Charles, being a Ferrari driver comes with some perks, no? Tell us, if you could have any car in the world, what would it be?"
Charles tilted his head, considering the question, then chuckled. "Well, I’m pretty sure that if I ask, ‘I would like to drive this car,’ then Ferrari will make it happen. So yeah, this is obviously very, very special. Whatever car, whichever year, Ferrari can make it happen."
The room erupted in polite laughter, the ease in Charles’ tone and his casual confidence earning a few nods of agreement from the audience.
But then came Mark’s turn.
Sitting beside Charles, Mark Spencer adjusted his watch—a luxury piece that subtly caught the light—and answered with a nonchalant shrug. "Well, I’m pretty sure I’d already own the car I want in my collection."
The room fell silent for a moment, the blunt honesty of Mark’s words catching everyone off guard. Then, scattered laughter and murmurs filled the space.
Charles shot Mark a sideways glance, one eyebrow raised, as if to say, Really? But Mark, as usual, seemed utterly unbothered, leaning back in his chair with an easy smile.
Later, the internet buzzed with reactions to the interview.
"Charles is so spoiled by Ferrari, but Mark is such a spoiled brat…who does he think he is?"
"Wait, how rich is this guy to own every car he wants?"
"I like how he’s crazy rich but never actually mentions it."
"Mark really said 'Oh, I probably already own it' like it's nothing 😭🔥. Must be NICE to be that rich 💸."
"Charles is spoiled by Ferrari, but Mark is on ANOTHER level 😳. Imagine owning every car you dream of 🚗✨. Unreal."
"The AUDACITY of him to say that so casually 😭. I both hate him and want to be him 🥲💀."
"Charles: 'Ferrari will get me anything.' Mark: 'I already have it.' THESE TWO ARE ON COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SPOILED 😭🔥."
"I swear this man lives in a different dimension 😂. Billionaire + F1 driver + insanely hot?? UNFAIR 💔🔥."
"Mark is out here reminding us all that we’re broke in the most elegant way possible 💀💸😭."
"So Mark’s basically been rich, famous, talented, and handsome his entire life? COOL COOL, I’M FINE, DEFINITELY NOT JEALOUS 🥲🔥."
"He’s so rich, yet so CHILL about it 🤷‍♂️😎. That’s the kind of rich we all aspire to be 💰✨."
Mark’s fans were quick to defend him, though, pointing out that his wealth had little to do with his skills on the track. Still, the intrigue around Mark’s family grew.
At home in Monaco, Charles sat on his couch, scrolling through Twitter on his phone. Every other tweet seemed to mention Mark’s comment or speculate about his background. His curiosity got the better of him.
Arthur, Charles’ younger brother, wandered into the living room, munching on an apple.
"Arthur," Charles said, not looking up from his phone, "do me a favor. Look up Mark Spencer’s family. I want to know who they are."
Arthur gave him a skeptical look. "Why? Feeling nosy ?"
"Just do it," Charles said, exasperated. "He said something in the interview today, and now the whole internet is losing its mind."
Arthur sighed, but he grabbed his laptop and started typing. It didn’t take long for him to find what he was looking for. A few minutes later, his eyes widened as he read through the search results.
"Okay," Arthur said, glancing at Charles. "This guy is… loaded. Like, top three billionaires in Italy loaded."
Charles’ eyebrows shot up. "Top three? You’re joking."
"I’m not," Arthur said, spinning the laptop around to show Charles the screen. "The Spencers are involved in everything—Coca-Cola, luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci, you name it. And apparently, they’ve been doing business with Ferrari for, like, 25 years. It’s practically in their blood."
Charles leaned forward, skimming through the details on the screen. The Spencer name carried weight, not just in Italy but globally. Alessandro Spencer, Mark’s father, was listed as one of the most influential businessmen in the world.
"So, he’s not just some rich guy," Charles muttered. "He’s that rich."
Arthur smirked. "Yup. Makes sense why he chose Ferrari, though, doesn’t it? Family history and all that."
Charles frowned. "Do people think that’s why he’s here? Because of his family?"
Arthur shrugged. "Some might. But listen to this—when Alessandro Spencer was asked about it, he said, ‘My son’s professional life is not affected by his family.’ So, basically, Mark got into F1 because of talent, not connections."
Charles leaned back in his seat, processing the information. Mark was an enigma. On one hand, he was the poster child for wealth and privilege, casually mentioning his car collection like it was nothing. On the other hand, he’d worked his way into Formula 1 on merit alone, proving that he wasn’t just coasting on his family name.
"Interesting," Charles murmured, a slight smile tugging at his lips. He was beginning to understand why Mark carried himself the way he did. There was more to the man than met the eye, and Charles couldn’t help but feel a little more intrigued.
---
The next time Charles saw Mark, it was at the track. Mark was leaning against a wall, chatting casually with a few engineers.
"Hey, Spencer," Charles called out, walking over.
Mark turned, his signature smirk already in place. "LecLec. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
Charles crossed his arms. "So, how big is this car collection of yours?"
Mark laughed, a deep, genuine sound. "Not Big enough," he said cryptically.
Charles shook his head, a grin breaking through despite himself. "You’re unbelievable."
"I try," Mark said with a wink. Then, as if sensing that Charles had been digging into his background, he added, "You know, you can just ask me next time, instead of sending your little brother on a fact-finding mission."
Charles froze. "How did you—"
Mark simply tapped the side of his head. "I have my ways."
As Mark walked away, Charles couldn’t help but laugh. The guy was impossible to figure out, but one thing was certain—Mark Spencer was full of surprises. (In reality Arthur just mentioned about it when him and Mark were simply texting about casual stuff)

I adore this because I love posts that go in depth on a thing that was clearly supposed to be taken as something to analyze. ofehieobfwivberp. Loveee itttt.
Now I ramble and go off topic a lot because that's just how my thoughts are-
Also I've only read the books.
Right, so, the way they pick the tributes is something that fascinates me. For most districts it's their day of reckoning, the most haunting day of their lives. For the Capitol, it's a day of great joy! Because now they finally have something to watch, people to get attached to, then cry over if they die. Because they see it as a movie. A thriller, a show with the most amazing acting! With drama, evil, alliances, backstabbing...
They watch in rapt attention, seeing the tributes being picked and then giving their first judgments on them.
"oooh he looks strong I'm sure he'll at least get in top 3."
"Ugh she looks like such a bitch. I hope someone kills her first."
They might change their judgment later on. With the interviews, and then in the game.
And that's how we see it too yknow? I mean for us it is fiction(or supposed to be) and we do the same thing, don't we? My first thought on Gale was "Meh. He's alright I guess." to "I HATE him." Also, Gale just confuses me as a character, not in a bad way, just confuses me, but that's for another day.
For Peeta it stayed the same "He's nice and cute and I like him." it only changed slightly to "Oh holy hell this guy is AWESOME."
Now I wonder if that's how the Capitol felt watching him. Peeta is a performer. I wonder how similar my thoughts to the people in the Capitol would be if we read their POV.
Humans are selfish. If you see something terrible happening on a screen you can't fully comprehend it. The brain puts it in the box of "real but not happening to you!" which is incredibly close to the "fiction!" box. When you see something horrible you are glad you didn't live it. You watch someone lose everything in a fire you're silently glad that didn't happen to you.
Winning is not really for the person who got the prize. It's so the watchers at home have a satisfying ending, even if it's not the one they wanted. They assume "well everything's gonna go right in their life now!" because humans also like happy endings.
The tributes never get happy endings. We saw it with Haymitch, Finnick, Katniss...that's what the second book is. They put the victors back in the arena.
They bring the old beloved characters back. Now you're on the edge of your seat, watching them being ripped off from what you think was their "happy ending" It's tragic. It's anger-inducing. But maybe you just accept that for some characters, it's the only way their story would've ended.
Anyways I need to watch the moviess!!!! Josh Hutcherson is waiting for meeeeee
The Manipulative Brilliance Of The Hunger Games
Hunger games is so good because it’s about giving you the sense of empathy and pity, while showing a group of people (the Capitol) who feel nothing of the sort and that juxtaposition makes you want more.
Let’s start all the way from the beginning.
Methods used by the Capitol to exert full control over all the districts:
The Method Of Reaping (selecting the tributes)
POINT 1: BUILDING BOUNDARIES WITHIN DISTRICTS-
If you haven’t watched hunger games, the method of selecting the tributes is left to chance. Why does this look familiar? It’s the method used by governments in the Vietnam War to draft soldiers. Using this same lottery system makes The Hunger Games feel more real, like this could really happen to you.
By The Capitol’s design, when you get chosen, someone can volunteer in your place to be a tribute in The Hunger Games. This is rarely done because who would choose to enter a game where your death possibility is so high?
The air of silence when you are picked as a tribute sends a message “Someone could save you right now. But they won’t. They won’t.”
That friend that promised you they would be a friend forever, the sibling that was raised with you, your mother, your brother, your sister, your friend. None of them are going to save you.
And this affects the whole district, it reminds them that at the end of the day, no matter how much of a friend your companions assure you they are, when you are picked as a tribute to die, they WILL NOT SAVE YOU.
Thus, it puts up boundaries preventing a district from getting too emotionally close with each other. Because you could be so friendly to someone but at the end of the day, they wouldn’t help you.
Effectively preventing districts from banding together and launching a revolution against the Capitol.
The Method Of Solely Using Children
POINT 2: BUILDING BOUNDARIES BETWEEN DISTRICTS-
So the Capitol, using the method of point 1 has successfully prevented districts from banding together internally. Now, how do we stop districts from working externally with each other against the Capitol?
Hate.
Hate and Fear.
See hunger games isn’t just a game. It’s an entertainment experience hiding a public execution.
But it’s not the Capitol executing these tribute, oh no! It’s using tributes from different districts to kill one another. Using this method, the Capitol effectively has their hands as clean as possible superficially, while simultaneously pitting districts against each other.
Mind you, all the tributes chosen are between 12 to 18 years old. CHILDREN. The Capitol is playing on two levels,
1. Making each district look even more savage. For when put into the hunger games, everyone loses their morals. Forcing the savagery out of mere children, it implies that if children are already this bloodthirsty, how crazy must their parents be? This benefits the upper class of Panem by reducing the lower districts to savage animals.
2. Making each district have a plausible reason for despising each other. Back to my point that all tributes are children. Parents must watch as their child is forced to abandon their morality or die. So the relatives of the fallen tribute associate their child’s killer with the bad ones.
For example I am from district 10 and my child is killed by a tribute from district 5. Not only will I mourn the loss of my child but I will direct my hatred at district 5, not the Capitol.
The Method of Display
-Being Dolled up
When the tributes are shipped out to the capitol, they get dressed in finery, they get made up like one of the members of the Capitol. This in itself is vicious mockery. It sends the message “You look like one of us, but you will be sent to your death and we will watch. You may look like one of us, but you will NEVER be one of us” What this achieves is setting the members of Capitol on the level of gods who only see humans as playthings to be dressed up and killed for entertainment.
-Being put on talkshows
Tributes then need to be on a parody of our real world talkshows, forced to laugh along with the hosts and endure the personal questions and inquires.
In conclusion, what does The Method Of Display achieve? It mocks all the districts, while simultaneously elevating The Capitol to gods.
The Method of Dehumanisation
Using all of these methods, the Capitol degrades the tributes to products to be sold. Think of those idol shows in real world where viewers vote on the ones they want to win. Tributes become personas to ‘Stan’ and support. By combining the mockery of dressing them up like they belong, to forcing them to act like they DO belong, it achieves the desired message to all the districts “None of you are at our level.”
The Method of False Winners
So you’ve won the hunger games. But have you actually won? Your status as a killer on national television, your PTSD and trauma, your mental state says otherwise. No one wins the hunger games. They survive the hunger games and get forgotten by the time the next one comes around.
Five By Five Takes on YouTube makes an excellent point which I will now paraphrase:
When you win the hunger games, you not only become a weapon of the Capitol but a symbol of false hope for the districts. By having a victor, it echoes the idea that sure the hunger games are awfully deadly but there is a chance you could win. The victors of the hunger games get to live in finery, if you’re from the poorer districts, this gives you a hope for a better life. And humans, even in real life, run on hope.
The Capitol
At the start of the movies, the people of The Capitol look like MONSTERS. Why? They are so devoid of empathy, they watch people die with the energy you’d use while watching a funny comedy.
When we watch movies, we try to put ourselves in the shoes of the characters. This is why self inserts are so popular in fandoms (im writing another short analysis of why some fandoms are so much more successful than others) However…a majority of people wouldn’t want to insert themselves in such a dangerous situation like hunger games.
Personally, when I watched the Hunger Games movies, I went “Thank god that isn’t me.” But then my thoughts suddenly went to “I would sacrifice other people if I didn’t have to go.” And what does that sound like ladies and gentlemen and other? You start realising that you’re thinking like a person from The Capitol. BOOM. From empathising with the tributes to suddenly realising you’d do anything to not be a tribute, you start realising how human the ‘monsters’ of the Capitol are.
Conclusion of this point:
The Capitols are horrible people. But they are as human as the rest of us. Any one of us could be a member of the Capitol with enough influences and experience.
Overall Conclusion
The Hunger Games are so brilliant because they play with your emotions, opinions and morals, using them against you in the most twisted way possible. All while hiding it all under a guise of entertainment.
-The End-
lol it’s not proofread, I wrote it in about an hour. My first full analysis ever. I’m gonna keep making them. Give me feedback :)
Like, Reblog or Reply if you like this analysis. Or don’t. I could not care less, it’s just a hobby of mine:)
This is Part 1 of my hunger games series of analysis

i was looking up tips for formatting bilingual books (for example, a copy of idk the iliad with ancient greek on one side, english translation on the other), but i didn’t know the word describing this kind of format 🤔
so i was stringing together keywords like “book with two languages” and one of the results was a reddit post with someone trying to find a book that alternates between multiple languages, i.e., there are no translations, it’s it’s one text, but half of the story is in english, then the other half, or interwoven throughout, is in french or whatever
and it took strength to not suggest the hussite trilogy 🥴
#the elbow-high diaries#i need to read it a second time for the more bg characters and the politics. and i need to read it a third time for the dante.#and im chewing away at manuscript discovered in a dragon’s cave rn and#im kind of torn between trying to read it quickly (learn the content) and trying to dissect sentences and spelling (learn some vocabulary)#so you could say im half of the time trying to pay attention to words and their spelling and learn them based on the translation given#and then i get caught somewhat off guard#im like ‘ok that spelling is… that’s not polish. what is this. german.’#‘okay got it. alright [moves down page] ok now he’s just speaking latin for fun now’#i’m not complaining to be clear i just find it funny because there’s so many damn references and weaving together of different#languages cultures literary traditions canons mythologies etc.#it reminds me when i had just started reading interviews with sapkowski#and before then i had just read season of storms and i was like ‘what is all this latin how pretentious is he’#and then i read the interviews and i was like oh. that’s just how he talks#when the intellectual regis randomly quotes cicero in lotl… i can see where that came from#also again to be clear i don’t think it makes one particularly uniquely intellectual to know and use multiple languages#i think its probably what the global norm is#but what makes it funny with andrzej sapkowski is that#as dandelion said about regis: ‘(he) was an intellectual. and liked to demonstrate it’#but i think this is what i like about his writing—particularly bc i never was especially close to anyone like this irl#though i think this is maybe for the best… sometimes… intellectuals are best read and not known 😬😅

Fanfic writer interview
Was tagged by @brave-and-gentle!
How many works do you have on AO3?
10!
What's your total AO3 word count?
135,195! Around half of that is just one story, lol
What are your top 5 stories by kudos/likes?
I forget I'm so new to the AOT fandom, none of those fics are in the top five since I've had R&M stuff out for a few years now.
I Only Have Eyes for U137- Rick Sanchez x reader, part 1 of the U137 series, at 605 kudos, it was my first ever published fic on ao3, aaaa
Rickplicity-Multidimensional Rick Sanchezes x reader smut (wink wonk) at 385 kudos
Bunker Fuck-Seal Team Ricks x reader smut at 119
Lovegod - Rick Sanchez x reader, one of the sequels to the U137 series, 73 kudos
Welcome to Feeling-Rick Sanchez x reader, the other sequel to U137, at 52 kudos
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I always try my best to, yeah! I love reading comments and have gotten a lot of really touching ones on some of my more introspective fics. I love making friends and interacting with other users.
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
All of Lovegod is the angsty ending, honestly.
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
James Joint, it's a Nana Komatsu x Nana Oosaki smut that's kinda cheesy & fluffy because those two deserve it dammit.
Do you write crossovers?
I guess it depends on your definition of crossover. Right now my main wip is 2 Shingeki 2 Kyojin, my AOT x Fast and Furious inspired AU. I also have a secret special AU fic I'm posting for a writing event in January, that is AOT set in another fandom's setting as well. As for actual characters in fandom interacting with each other, no.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Kind of
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. Typically male character x self insert female reader, some m/f/m, some multi male character x female character stuff i’ve done has gotten semi popular, though I've recently tried writing yuri smut. I also want to try writing m/f/f reader and am planning f/f/f reader and other lesbian multi pairings.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No, I don't think so. I hope not!
Have you ever had a fic translated?
I don't think so
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Kind of! It's taken down for now, but me and my best friend were working for years on a Backstreet Boys self insert AU with some fantasy and science elements that we had started in middle school. We took it down because we're gonna rewrite and republish it (since we just added onto it since middle school, like a demented layered dip of immature vocabulary) but with our original storyboard. He doesn't have a Tumblr but ily bestie
What's your all-time favorite ship?
Toughh call. I adore Eremika, Nanahachi is always amazing fave, but I think some that have stuck with me through the years are probably Elizabeth Bennet x Mr Darcy, and Bella Swan x Edward Cullen--very classic
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
OH God, hopefully none but there's a Jean Kirschtein x civilian female reader I started forever ever ago that I don't think I can finish. Maybe that'll change, but it doesn't seem to have any potential the way it is right now.
What are your writing strengths?
I honestly don’t know. i know what i like to write, and what i can go on and on about, but idk what’s good these days
What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm doing a Bertholdt Hoover x NB reader for a friend, and adjusting to the pacing of a slow burn was a challenge at first, as someone who irl and in fiction will jump to sex and drama, but I think I've got a hang of it now! Fight scenes will always be the death of me as well
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I think it can be tricky, since plot relevance is obviously important, but flow and realism can make or break it too. I kind of wish I could implement it in the right way, since I have a hc idea that would involve it, but it's just hard to do right and idk if I can tackle that at the moment.
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
It could be fun to write some Twilight, since that was my first ever fandom, but idk what I'd write these days that I didn't already exhaust in my daydreams when I was 12— I could just be super indulgent and do it anyway. Also, Gregory House x reader... I need to ride that old man.
What's your favorite fic you've written?
2 Shingeki 2 Kyojin is my fucking baby. I adore it, I've never made a real AU like this before (at my grown age of 21, lmao) and I'm hyperfixating like crazy. If you like love triangles, street racing, partying, smut, Eren Yeager and Jean Kirstein, and more obscure AOT characters getting some screen time, check it out :)
I don’t think I have many writer mutuals (pls show urselves!) so if ur reading this tag ur it 🫵🫵🫵
Fanfic writer interview
Thank you @thelettersfromnoone for the tag!! 💖
How many work do u have on AO3?
3, not your local AO3 girlie lmao
What's your total AO3 word count?
8 534
Your top 5 stories by kudos/likes
I'll go with Tumblr ones, cause from my 3 AO3 works the biggest number I got is 31 lmao
Anyone but you (Legolas x f!reader)
Night watch (Legolas x Reader)
Well-deserved rest (Haldir x f!Reader)
One messy night (Boromir x f!Reader)
Transition (Haldir x f!Reader)
Honorable mention (since it's not fics but headcanons)
Green Council receiving a hot pic from you (HotD)
TLK men's reaction on being pet named
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I always try to respond to comments! These little things are brightening up my day, so I wanna let the people know that they are my heroes hahaha
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
I really think it's Transition. All in all it's a pretty dark story, a bit depressing I think (I had these intentions while writing at least).
Otherwise, I don't think I have angsty endings fics?
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
New family members for sure!! Was thinking hard what to choose, cause I think all of my happy ending fics are on the pretty same level on a happy scale, but I remember that I have this gen, non romantic baby and I love it so much ❤️‍🩹 There's a little TLK OMC for y'all
Do you write crossovers?
I wanted to say I've never done this BUT THEN!!! My Assassin's Creed (Ezio) x LOTR little headcanon!!! My beloved child!!
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
No, not that I remember getting any hate on my fics
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do, tho not much and on rare occasions. I used to write a lot of smut when I was younger (a teen), then I stopped being comfortable with it for a wild few years (tho reading never made me uncomfortable lmao).
Now I started writing smut again, idk what kind? Don't really understand what does that mean lol F x M traditional sex? Pretty detailed? If so, then yes lmao
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't know 😂 Maybe, maybe not. I think rather not.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not to my knowledge, I don't think so.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
We tried with my friend a long long time ago. Didn't go well lmao It's hard and kinda stressing, cause you never know what the other person is gonna write (at least we had this SURPRISE system), so... You kinda have zero plot cause everything you want to write plot-wise can be ruined by the second person's plot lmao
What's your all-time favorite ship?
Athelnar?? Athelstan and Ragnar were my first ever OTP (quickly followed by Alfred and Uhtred). You could never beat that Athelnar shit out of my body lmao I've never written for them, but oh I do love them boys!
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
Now, that's the HARSH one lmao
I think I have at least 3 OC stories that I really wanna write (2 for TLK and one for LOTR), but I'm scared that I will never actually do it. I never was good with multi chaptered stories, and these are indeed not a one shots 🥲
What are your writing strengths?
Ugh... I don't know? I think I was pretty good with dialogues and descriptions of the surroundings to build the atmosphere. But... I guess it's not for me to decide but for the readers?
What are your writing weaknesses?
I rarely finish what I've started lmao I should write everything in one go or else I'll never finish it... Or will finish it in two months even if it's a 2k words one shot
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I love them! I've only done it with my LOTR fics (with Sindarin) but I really love it. But I really love it when the language is different from the language of the settings? Like, if the story is happening in England and everyone is English, but you have two characters who can speak idk Dutch, let them have a Dutch language in their dialogue. I had a rant post about it not that long ago actually lmao You have to think about your in-universe language
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
Ahhh Bungou Stray Dogs! I love them, and I'd gladly try to write something for them. Not a character/character but reader my beloved.
And maybe Stephane Narcisse (reign) my beloved and a reader
What's your favorite fic you've written?
The blood on my hands (Eomer) and Peace (Finan) are definitely my fave ones I think. They are dark and both explore some trauma

RSR: Charlotte, it is interesting that you come from an acting background, given that the film has two incredibly strong central performances. How did you work with the actors and how did your previous experience influence the process?
CV: We wrote a very detailed script. We talked a lot about how Bruno and Pietro would be together, how and when they would sit next to each other, what they were able to say to each other, and what it meant every time they met. We wanted it to be subtle.
We had an incredibly long casting process to find the right actors and put them in the right roles, because, initially, the actors were attracted to the opposite roles. Luca [Marinelli] felt naturally inclined towards Bruno, and it took us four or five months to realise that it should be the other way around. And then it was magic. The two are very good friends in real life, they had just made a great movie together in Italy [Don’t Be Bad, 2015], shared this incredible chemistry and were looking for a project to work on next. They can just have silence between them and understand each other, there’s something really essential about that, something you can’t force. With the kids, we made them run together, and from that moment, there was an explosion of love and energy in the room. We just knew.

18 + swaymark!!
oooo thank you!!
#18 - pleaser, wallows + swaymark
okay i know they are canonically obsessed with each other but. the song is in some ways about feeling like you’re failing in your relationship and being not quite as obsessed with them as they maybe are with you, and in this video of them talking about being a tandem, there is the slightest pause before swayman answers “do you miss him?” that makes me want to probe a wound. we’re not talking irl reasons of how that’s an absurd question (how do you miss him. you’re coworkers you’re seeing each other all the time) we’re talking that maybe this whole goalies-in-love thing got blown out of proportion and now swayman’s having to buy into the bit too hard. linus loves it & everyone’s asking about their bromance & how they love each other so much and the thing is—linus is safe. he’s got a wife and plausible deniability and jeremy? jeremy is gay. sure, he can crack jokes and people-please but the more people ask the more they're going to find out until maybe they find out something jeremy doesn't want them to know. and the longer this goes on, the more jeremy has to sit at linus' dinner table with linus and his beautiful wife and pretend like he isn't a little bit in love with him. and you know what? the longer it goes on and linus doesn't dial it down jeremy does stop being in love with him, because it just feels cruel, until he finally is done enough that he stops biting his tongue and ruins the moment.
#…this so is not a five sentence summary but ALSO this manages to perfectly align with something i was obsessed with (that media video)#like yeah is that pause reasonably a buffering time to a weird question? yes!!! do i want to read into it & make swayman a bit uncomfortabl#also yes!!! sorry i decided to give them tragique but they were assigned by spotify. the other option for this song was an ED fix-it fic#about healthy sex and learning that it can be a part of a normal relationship!! sex is weird and fucked up!! but like. that’s just because#i have always interpreted this song as a) unrequited best friend love & you’re worried you’re gonna fuck it up b) virgin who doesn’t know#what sex is and is scared to tell anyone and then option c) people pleaser keeps going along with it but can’t anymore#also OBVIOUSLY they end up fine. whether that ends up being jeremy finally telling linus (oblivious) i don’t want to do this with you#i need to get over you & them creating a platonic space & sway ends up with someone else OR linus has the oh. true. i simply never#considered that i could be gay for you option OR the one i have just invented but is now my favorite because i love a good polycule is that#linus & his wife simply add jeremy to their relationship. and then this song becomes jeremy scared to have sex with linus’ wife at first lo#liv in the replies#the interviews in that video doing the lord’s work fr but also that ‘do you not miss him’ feels SO uncomfortable. say no! but then he leans#in with the dirty jokes comment & i know i’ve made like eight variations already (sorry. that’s how my brain works) but it is soooo fun#to me personally if they are broken up but now have to act nice & keep doing all these rituals & sell us on the narrative & they’re just#trying to see who’s going to crack first. needle each other into laughing or getting irritated enough it shows through & the other one wins#do even more aggressive hug rituals!! get a medical warning from the athletic training staff!!!#moregraceful

New flavor of imposter syndrome unlocked: Feeling like you somehow were acting like you cared about people after you spent the entire interview going on unnecessary tangents about how children deserve all of the respect and resources they need to do well in school and life and the interviewers caught wind of it.

I love how much you put in these tags, @miraculouslbcnreactions!
Reblogs appreciated for reach—I’m just genuinely curious! Would love elaboration in the tags but obviously you can just keep your answer anonymous if you want as well
#Despised it#I watch family/children's media very aware of who the intended audience is#And expect all such media to cater to its intended audience and not the adults along for the ride#The season five final was not written for a five-year-old viewer#You don't show a little kid a father willfully poisoning his child (nightmare dust) and locking that child away#And then give that father a happy/peaceful ending#What message is that supposed to send to kids???#I was extra disturbed by that interview where the writers said that this was Gabriel accepting Emilie's death#but also deciding that he can't live without her#Once again: what freaking message is that supposed to send to kids? Shouldn't Adrien's existence be enough to make Gabriel want to live?#Way to drive home how little Gabriel cared about his son.#Plus that is NOT what accepting another person's death looks like! Way to completely fail on that message.#And this was originally the series finale!!! Yikes#Also depending on your read of Emilie's status (dead vs coma/magical stasis)#The final is literally treating either a su*cide or full out murder-su*cide as a happy ending for Gabriel#I don't think kids need to be wrapped in a bubble but by the gods that is freaking dark#Even if later seasons somehow fix this (and I truly do not think that they will) the intended audience is five-to-twelve-year-olds#That's not an age group known for following complex and nuanced plots#The younger end of that group is not waiting with baited breath to see how this messed up ending will resolve itself#They see the happy smiles and Gabriel going into the light and think this is what a happy ending looks like#Oh and way to have Chat Noir leave Ladybug to literally fight the world alone after making his catchphrase “me and you against the world”#Guess that was just lip service?#Why even bother making him a hero if this was the plan all along like they claim?#The final well and truly killed every side of the love square in one fell swoop. And they were already on shaky ground going into the final#Ladynoir isn't the power couple we always wanted and Adrienette is poisoned to a level I don't think that they can come back from#It's all just way too serious for the intended audience. We've gone from rom-com to tragedy.#There is a reason this blog was created mid season five

Spencer Reid x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Spencer's been on the fence with his feelings for you. Due to his past traumas he’s decided to keep his feelings hidden. Until you’re caught in a dangerous situation at work
WC: 3.5 k
A/N: I am SO SORRY this took so long. I’ve been sitting on this for two months because I was being a perfectionist and had writer's block. Thank you so much to the person who requested this idea and I hope ya’ll like it! beta read by @whats-yesterday00
Tags: Hurt/Comfort, Angst, Fluff, Protective!spencer, Friends to lovers, age gap (25 and idk 33 or 34), during season 9 (sadly no post prison Reid, I refuse to watch the show after Derek & Hotch leave), Maeve is implied
Warnings!: mentions of murder, stalking, gunshot wounds, hostage situation and incorrect info about hostage situation cause Idk I'm not in the FBI
Everyone knew Spencer Reid had a soft spot for you. Well, everyone except for you.
Since the moment you met you’ve been on his mind.
“Do you know how old she is?”
“No, how old is she?”
“25!” Penelope squeaked before being shushed by Rossi.
“Wow, she’s gotta be the youngest person to ever be in the BAU. Well, second to genius over here,” JJ commented while pointing to Reid.
“That’s if she gets the job,” Morgan added.
They were all crowded around the desks in front of Hotch’s office. The blinds were cracked and they could just barely make out the woman seated across from their boss for an interview.
Due to the increase in caseload after Alex joined, Hotch made the request to add an additional member of the team. After interviewing a few people that didn’t pan out, he heard quite a bit about you from your supervisor saying how well you’ve done with the FBI and you’d be an exceptional fit for the team.
Then of course Penelope looked up everyone who was interviewing with Hotch. You being her most recent victim.
“How long has she been with the FBI?” Alex questioned.
“Three years,” Penelope answered
“What? Did she join right after college?”
“Not right away. She graduated early and got experience with law enforcement first.”
Spencer sat at his desk quietly while everyone was peering into Hotch’s office. Not to say he wasn’t nosy as well. You were already behind the blinds when he arrived for work.
“Oh they’re shaking hands! That has to be a good sign,” Penelope cheered.
Morgan turned to the window, “It’s definitely not a bad one.”
Her eyes widened before loudly whispering, “Oh no they’re leaving. Disperse.”
She scurried off in her heels towards Derek’s desk while he followed behind with a grin. JJ, and Rossi averted their eyes from Hotch’s office and found Alex’s desk far more interesting.
All while Spencer’s attention was brought to the woman led down the stairs by his boss. It felt like his heart stopped beating when he saw how beautiful you were. He was brought back to earth as Hotch introduced you to the rest of the team.
“This is Dr. Spencer Reid,” he gestured to the man sitting at his desk.
You offered him a small wave and a kind smile, “Nice to meet you.”
It became quite obvious you two would get along very well. From very early on conversation flowed incredibly well between the two of you. There were very few people that he felt were easy to talk to because of his niche interests and the way he would ramble spitting facts left and right.
But he never had to worry about saying the wrong thing or talking too much with you. You often were a content listener or you would even match his passion on certain subjects. Most were topics Spencer already knew about.
When you first met Spencer you didn’t know the Dr in his name meant he held 3 PhD’s or that he was quite literally a genius.
So you were often telling stories or facts you found interesting that he already knew. In fact, almost every “fun fact” you brought up, he knew about already.
But he never interrupted you. He always was listening intently to what you had to say. Like he was hearing about it for the first time.
At some point you learned of his eidetic memory and how vast his knowledge was. It was during a case where you found out and mentioned it to him.
“Reid, remember when we were at the harbor and I mentioned that thing about sharks?” You hesitated, “did you know that already?”
“Yes,” he guiltily admitted.
You partially deflated suddenly feeling that the whole tangent you went on was pointless. “Why did you let me go on and on if you already knew?”
His eyes softened, “because I wanted to hear you talk about it.”
That was when his feelings started to peek through. As the months went on it only grew and grew. And you were none the wiser.
To the average person, it might not seem like much. Perhaps you were just good friends. But to a team of profilers (and best friends) it was painfully obvious.
It was almost painful the way he looked at you with a longing in his eyes. Or when his gaze immediately turned to you to catch your reaction or smile.
It was obvious by the way he found any excuse to bring you up in conversation. Or how in conversation with you he would mirror your mannerisms and lean closer to you.
As well as the things he remembered about you or the little things he did for you. Like the countless coffee cups he bought for you from his favorite coffee shop before work. And when he saw you struggling to find something or open something he was always right there to help.
Spencer Reid had feelings for you. Feelings so deep that he couldn’t pull the roots out even if he tried.
He didn’t know what to do with his feelings exactly. He hadn’t felt this strongly for someone since … well for a while. He was terrified of history repeating itself.
He couldn't lose you. He’d seen first hand what this job did to him, what it did to Hotch. Their loved ones ripped away from them too soon.
So for now at least, he kept his feelings to himself.
Well, until your last case.
The BAU was called in on a case that just turned serial. They found the unsub to be a man named Mark, who started killing because his girlfriend cheated on him. The first two victims reminded him of the man she cheated with. When that didn’t satisfy him, he hunted down and killed the other man.
Now the team and SWAT was stationed outside a bus that Mark was holding hostage. He stalked his ex-girlfriend and tracked down the new city bus she took.
The officers couldn’t get a clear shot of him because of where he was standing and he kept using the passengers as shields. Rossi was currently on the phone with him trying to make negotiation terms and get some of the people off the bus. Mark however was incredibly stubborn and didn’t want to let his leverage go.
So Rossi asked about the children on the bus and if Mark would be willing to let them off. They were met with silence on the other end of the phone, contrary to his previous behavior where he loved to hear himself talk.
After a short pause the phone spoke. “I’ll only send out the kids if you send in an agent.”
Rossi shifted his weight and crossed his arms. “Are there any other circumstances you’re willing to send out the children for?” he asked.
“Nope,” he said with a pop at the end of the word.
A look of concern was quickly exchanged between Rossi and Hotch. While their faces didn’t reveal much, their eyes spoke volumes.
“How about this,” the unsub continued. “I’ll send out their moms too.”
Rossi’s eyebrows furrowed slightly at the eagerness to comply from the criminal. “You’ll send out the children and their mothers if we send in one of our agents?”
“I promise.”
Rossi returned his eyes to Hotch who stood rigid and tall with his arms folded. He was met with an approving nod before returning to the call.
“Alright, we can agree to those terms.”
“Oh and agent Rossi?” Mark perked.
“Yes?”
“Send in a girl.”
There was a tension that quietly branched out between the agents listening to the phone call.
“Why do you want a woman?” Rossi asked, clearly changing the dialogue used.
“I’m losing too many ladies sending out these moms. I want one back,” he replied with a cockiness to his voice.
Ross confirmed they could send in a female agent. Almost immediately after the unsub hung up, you volunteered to be the agent going on the bus.
“I’ll do it.”
Spencer’s head shot in your direction. “No you're not.” His voice was laced with concern and a hint of demand.
“Reid-”
“He specifically asked for a woman. We don’t know what he’s planning, he’s devolving.”
“And I’m willing to take that risk to make sure those kids are safe,” You defended yourself.
You turned to your boss waiting for his thoughts. Hotch knew you’d been exposed to enough high tension scenarios to know what you were doing. But just like any member of his team, he silently hesitated, worrying for your safety.
He took a breath before meeting your eyes again. “Send her in.”
Right before you were led to the bus, Hotch took off the holster on his ankle and handed it to you. “Some extra protection in case something happens.” You couldn’t hear the concern in his voice, but you saw it clear as day in his eyes.
You made your way to the bus and saw through the window Mark holding a gun to the driver and telling him to open the door. You stepped on and the doors closed quickly behind you. The unsub took a long look at you, panning up and down.
“Well how about that. Aren’t you a beauty? He said with a cheeky grin.
You tried your hardest not to look disgusted with him. Instead you kept your composure and spoke with courage and a confident demeanor.
“You this flirty with all your hostages?” you asked plainly.
As he gazed down at your legs his eyebrows furrowed and lips pursed. He bent down and with the gun in his hand, pushed away the bottom of your pants leg. When he saw the gun in the holster, he tsked.
“You always carry this much dead weight on you?”
He stood back up and put his hand out, “hand it over, I told them no weapons.”
You reluctantly took off Hotch’s holster and placed it in the unsubs hand. Your one line of defense was gone.
The longer you were on the bus, the more anxious Spencer got. He knew you were an exceptional profiler, and you had enough experience and skill to handle yourself in situations like this.
But that couldn’t stop the ache in his stomach or the fact that his heart rate could power a car by now.
He stood closer to the bus now to get a clearer view of the windows. They managed to successfully get the children and moms off and to safety, but you weren’t safe. Spencer figured you were trying to negotiate with the unsub, but that was going nowhere. This was confirmed when Rossi tried calling him again but every call was ignored.
This unsub was stubborn as hell. He knows he trapped himself, but didn’t want to back down. At least he didn’t want to go quietly.
Spencer was talking with the rest of the team trying to devise a plan when the gunshots were fired. The team immediately ran back to the cacophony on the bus.
More shots were fired, he didn’t know where from. He didn’t care.
He just needed to get to you.
When he got a decent view through one of the windows that hadn’t shattered he saw you. Your hand over arm in pain but still standing in front of the civilians to protect them. The unsub stalking over to you, gun in hand and smacking you over the head with it. You slammed against the chairs and fell to the floor.
Spencer's face paled. He swore he was going to throw up.
Through the fog of his mind Spencer saw Morgan escorting Mark off the bus, his hands now behind his back in cuffs.
He rushed past them, clambering through the door and up the stairs to get to you, calling your name.
“Reid?” he heard your small tired voice through the crowd.
He followed it to you, laying on the ground struggling to open your eyes and clutching your left arm.
He crouched down to your level with a gentle hand on your uninjured arm.
“Hey, I’m here. I’m right here,” he comforted.
“My head hurts,” you mumbled.
His eyes softened, “I know. I think you might have a concussion, you need to go to the hospital.”
You slowly started to fade out of consciousness. Spencer’s heart dropped and his hand moved from your arm to your face.
“No no no no stay with me okay?” he caressed your cheek with his thumb.
“Stay with me sweetheart,” he consoled.
Your eyes stopped struggling to stay open and finally made their close. His other hand rushed to your pulse point as he called for a medic.
Time seemed to stand still while Spencer sat next to your hospital bed waiting for you to wake up. He couldn’t leave your side. He didn’t want to.
You were okay. You were laying in the bed in front of him. But of course in his mind he ran through all the possible scenarios of how things could’ve gone worse, how things could’ve gone better. What would’ve happened if you didn’t have your gun taken away, or if the unsub got angry that you tried to bring a gun in. What if he didn’t lose his cool and start firing. What if you never went inside in the first place.
And with all of those possible scenarios, the same thought plagued him.
He was wrong.
Before he was too scarred from past traumas to reveal just how much you meant to him. Not wanting to repeat the past and lose yet another person he loved cared for.
But now, after seeing you in danger right in front of him, now he was terrified at the thought of you never knowing. He was now more scared you would never know how much he loved the way your nose crinkled when you smiled. How he thought the sound of your voice could cure any ailment he had. How he admired your strength and desire to protect others. How you could light up anyone's mood by just being you. How he could listen to you for hours, even if you were lecturing him on things he’d known like the back of his hand.
To him it was a whole new experience hearing it from you.
Spencer was pulled from his thoughts as you stirred awake. He saw your eyes adjust to the bright fluorescent lights ahead. He quickly got up to dim the lights for you.
When he returned to his seat you smiled at him, “hi.”
“Hi,” he smiled back.
“How are you feeling?”
You sighed. “Like shit,” you complained with a hint of humor.
“The doctor said you have a minor head injury, bruised ribs, and the shot to your arm thankfully didn’t break any bones.”
“Fun,” you said sarcastically.
A moment of silence passes between you two. He doesn’t exactly know what to say. How do you casually tell your friend and coworker you have a crush on them?
There is no casual way.
“You called me sweetheart,” you broke the silence.
He furrowed his eyebrows, “What?”
You fidget with the blanket, “earlier, when I passed out on the bus. You called me sweetheart.”
He searches his mind for the memories of the day. When he finds the memory he realizes in the heat of the moment the term of endearment slipped out.
He wasn’t aware you heard it.
“I did,” he confirmed as his ears flushed.
“Why?” you asked curiously.
He didn’t know how to tell you that he’s wanted to call you that for weeks now. So instead he settled with-
“It just … felt right.”
“Oh,” you replied quietly.
Spencer tensed up at your response.
“If I crossed the line-“
“No. Of course not,” you interrupted with a comforting voice.
The corners of your mouth lifted and cheeks dusted pink. “I thought it was sweet. You don’t normally say stuff like that.”
His heart warmed at your confession and a smile spread on his face.
“You thought me calling you sweetheart was sweet?” he lightly teased.
“Shut up,” you chuckled, rolling your eyes. “You know what I mean.”
Your laughter was cut short by a sharp pain in your abdomen. You bit down on your lip and gripped the side of the bed in pain.
The reality that you were injured on the job was rushing back to him.
He licked his lips, his nervous unconscious habit.
“I was really worried about you.”
“I know.”
“No, you don’t,” he interjected.
“The entire time you were on that bus I was sick to my stomach. Terrified that something bad was gonna happen and it did,” he started to ramble.
You leaned closer to him. ”But I’m okay Reid.”
“You still got hurt. He shot you for christ sake!” his voice raising in pitch and volume.
“Reid-”
“He lashed out at you! You could’ve died!”
“Spencer,” you said firmly, pulling his attention towards you.
He never heard you say his name before. No matter how many times he said you could call him Spencer, you still called him Reid. Hearing his name fall from your lips was like the consistency of honey.
You placed your hands on his face caressing his cheek. His golden eyes meet yours.
“I’m alright. I’m still here,” you consoled.
“But if-“
“Spencer.”
“Please,” he pleaded. “It’s important.”
You nodded your head, signaling for him to continue. He gently grabbed your wrists and brought your hands in his. He took a deep breath before he decided to spill the thing that had been eating away at his heart.
“I have feelings for you. I have for a long time. Almost as long as you’ve been at the BAU,” he started.
With your hands in his he started tracing his thumb over your knuckles.
“If we don’t have work I count down the days until I can see you again. When I do see you I desperately want to see you smile, see you happy. And if I’m the one that causes that smile, it makes my whole day. That’s why I never interrupted when you talked about something I already knew. The way your face lit up when you talked with such passion was the highlight of my day.”
“For months I was scared of my feelings and I kept them to myself. I was too scared to admit how much I liked you because I-” his hold on your hands tightened.
“I know what it feels like to lose someone. This job takes so much from us; I never wanted it to take you.”
Spencer let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding in.
“Today I realized it would be more painful if I went the rest of my life not telling you, than having even a fraction of a moment with you.”
A moment of silence danced between you two. Your head reeling from his confession, heart beating so hard you could feel it in your bones. Your palms sweaty from holding onto Spencers, but still neither of you let go.
The silence was deafening, plaguing him.
“Please … say something,” he begged.
Your lash line was collecting tears that you simultaneously tried blinking away. Your eyes found his tie less intimidating than his gaze.
“I never thought you would like me back,” you said with a soft tone.
Spencer's cheeks turned red as his heart started melting. “I do.”
You brought your eyes back to his. That precious smile on his face was infectious.
“Listen,” you squeezed his hands. “I’m not going anywhere. So you have as much time with me as you want.”
Spencer's eyes softened at your words. He raised your hands and placed a loving kiss on your knuckles.
The two of you were too lost in eachother to notice the footsteps towards the room.
“Hey, I found some Jello for her if she-” Alex abruptly stopped once she noticed what she walked into.
You both awkwardly pulled your hands away from each other; you fiddling with the hospital blanket, him rubbing his palms on his slacks.
“So, feeling better?” she asked hesitantly.
“Much,” you answered, still a bit flustered.
“Good, good to hear,” She tried not to sound too smug, but the small smile on her face said otherwise.
She raised and shook the jello container in her hand.
“I’m gonna leave this here,” she placed it on the table. “I’ll be back in a bit.”
“Thanks Blake,” you thanked as she left.
Once she was gone you quietly giggled and mumbled “oh my god,” under your breath.
“You know, she kept teasing me asking when I was going to ask you out. And don’t even get me started on Morgan,” he chuckled, shaking his head.
Your jaw dropped and eyes furrowed. “Did everyone else know but me?”
He pressed his lips in a thin line, “pretty much.”
“I must be a shitty profiler,” you half joked.
“Absolutely not,” he said in the most comforting voice. He brushed the hair that had fallen in front of your face behind your ear.
“You’re an amazing profiler.”
You smiled that smile he loved so much. The one where you couldn’t hide your joy and your nose crinkled.
“So, how do you think you’ll spend all those moments with me?” you inquired with a bit of a teasing tone.
“Doing anything sweetheart,” he answered seriously. He looked at you with awe written all over your face. “I'm ready for anything with you.”
“in omnia paratus” - ready for anything

drew and actress!readers on hot ones
masterlist | actress!reader masterlist
this is based partially off of the new hot ones interview with the obx cast. just imagine drew and actress!reader are on opposite teams rather than drew being the question person lol. yall really seemed to like the last interview-fic i did so voila <3
“I’m already sweating.” Madison said, fanning herself as they filed into the studio. Lights and a white backdrop surrounded a table covered with wings, four chairs on each side. They’d already been briefed on how things were going to go, the eight of them divided into two teams and answering questions, their answers deciding whether or not they’d be subjected to one of the very hot wings laid out in front of them.
Drew came up behind y/n, pulling out her chair for her before heading to his own seat opposite her. She smiled at him, soothing her dress down as the rest of the cast sat down. Madelyn, Rudy, and Carlacia took seats on her team whereas Drew sat with Chase, Madison, and JD opposite them.
“You better not be expecting me to go easy on you, Starkey.” Y/n grinned, resting her chin in her hands as she looked at the man across from her, his eyes crinkling as a smile crept across his face.
“You better not be expecting me to go easy on you, my love.” Drew raised his eyebrows teasingly.
“Ok, are we ready?” One of the producers asked, to which the cast responded with excited (or perhaps anxious) cheers. The camera focused in on Chase, who reached and spun the bottle of hot sauce sitting in front of them, the ultimate decider of which team would go first. It spun for a moment before landing on Madelyn, her teammates erupting with hollers as Chases picked up one of the cards.
“Alright, Mr. Rudy,” Chase smiled cheekily. “Outer Banks has hooked viewers with its countless twists and turns, however, name one storyline you think should’ve never made it out of the writers room.”
Everyone let out some groans and giggles as Rudy began to lose himself in thought… and continued and continued to think.
“Is there a time limit on these?” JD quipped, causing Rudy to roll his eyes, stroking his chin in playful contemplation.
“This is off to a great start.” Y/n said, elbowing Rudy lightly.
“Ok, ok!” Rudy said. “I’d say… I wish they didn’t switch to the second treasure so fast. They should’ve stuck at the first treasure longer.”
“That sounds like an answer to me!” Carlacia clapped as the team opposite them picked up their wings with a groan. They each took a bite, chewing for a second before they all reached for the drinks in front of them.
“Shit.” Drew swore as he took a long sip of milk, his cheeks already beginning to flush a bright red.
“Don’t worry there’s more where that came from.” Y/n grinned as Drew shook his head. Y/n reached in front of her, grabbing another one of the question cards.
“Oh, JD,” Y/n read in a sing-song voice, “Outer Banks centers around a group of teenagers, but our cast ranges from 24 to 33 years old. Which of your costars is the least convincing teenager?”
The table erupted into “oohs” as JD surveyed his co-stars, a nervous grin on his face before his gaze landed on Chase.
“I think I have to say Mr Chase Stokes.” JD chuckled.
“Is it because of the beard?” Chase teased as y/n and her team picked up the wings in front of them. With a deep breath, y/n took a bite, her mouth immediately bursting with heat. With a groan, she reached for the ice water in front of her, hoping to soothe the fire in her throat as her eyes began to water.
“No more jokes, baby?” Drew asked as y/n fanned herself off with her hand. Y/n rolled her eyes, tossing the old question card at him. Drew picked the next card, his gaze locking onto the girl in front of him.
“Oh, perfect. Y/n,” Drew began, “part of Outer Banks’ charm is the chemistry between the cast. That being said, who here is the worst scene partner?”
“Oh no!” Y/n groaned, putting her face in her hands as the table broke out in gasps and laughter. She stole a glance at the second wing in front of her, royally coated in fiery hot sauce before thinking of an answer.
“Ok, ok! I’m going to answer, but,” y/n said with an anxious giggle, “you have to let me explain!”
Her co-stars leaned in, each of them with looks of anticipation covering their faces as y/n sat up straighter in her seat.
“My answer is…” y/n paused for dramatic affect, chewing at her bottom lip nervously, “Drew, but—”
Everyone erupted into shrieks and laughter, Drew’s jaw dropping at his girlfriend’s answer. Madelyn covered her mouth, locking eyes with Carlacia before they both turned to y/n.
“No, no, no! You have to let me explain!” Y/n reached across the table, grabbing Drew’s hand, his mouth still agape.
“This is going to be good.” Rudy chuckled.
“He’s not a bad scene partner, he is just so different from Rafe and always makes me laugh, so it takes us a million takes to get a scene done!” Y/n clarified, Drew’s shocked expression melting into a small smile.
“See, you’re just such a funny guy and I love you so much that it makes it hard to do scenes with you. It’s a compliment, really, baby.” Y/n finished with a quirk of her eyebrows, her costars swooning as the couple gazed at each other softly.
“Good save, good save.” JD teased as he and his team reached for another hot wing. The game continued for several more rounds, various questions, and, of course, lots of spicy wings, until they finally made it to the finale.
The table was moved out, their seats being arranged in a circle for a cutthroat game of musical chairs that would ultimately determine the winner of the game. Round after round, the numbers dwindled until one chair and two players remained: y/n and Drew.
“No mercy, y/n!” Madelyn shouted from the side as y/n and Drew rounded the chair slowly.
“C’mon Starkey boy!” Chase cheered. Y/n looked up for a moment, her eyes meeting with Drew’s as the music suddenly stopped. Before she knew it, Drew’s arms wrapped around her torso, lifting her off her feet with a shriek. He quickly sat down in the chair, pulling her down with him, and winning the game.
“Sorry baby,” Drew smirked, pressing a kiss to y/n’s cheek. Y/n groaned playfully, tossing her head back to rest on Drew’s shoulder as the two of them laughed in the chair.
“You’re lucky I love you, Starkey.” Y/n grinned, kissing Drew’s jaw.
“Do you? Do you really?” Drew teased, nuzzling his nose into the crook of y/n’s neck, causing her to squeal with laughter. In all her life, y/n would’ve never expected that she in all her competitive nature would be ok with losing a competition, but here she was, happy as ever.

lando norris being down bad for his girlfriend: a compilation
summary: lando norris can’t help but talk about his girlfriend whenever he cans, fans make compilation videos about it
MASTERLIST | MY PATREON
Tumblr media
Lando Norris could be described as someone who's not scared of saying whatever crossed his mind.
And that's why he never, ever, missed the opportunity to talk about his girlfriend whenever he had the chance.
He mentioned her during interviews, press conferences, social media post and even fan interactions. To the point where fans started making compilation videos with all the moments he publicly obsessed over his girlfriend.
The most popular one gathered millions of views on YouTube, showing multiple occasions Lando couldn't help but be down bad for her.
The video started with a clip from Q&A with fans, someone asked him about his favorite way to relax after a race. Without missing a beat, Lando replied, "Cuddling up with my girlfriend, of course. Nothing beats that."
"You're really whipped man, It's embarrassing," Oscar, his teammate, teased beside him, making the audience laugh.
"It's not, really." Lando shrugged proudly.
The next clip was taken from McLaren's Tiktok account, their content creator tried to do the "Can you watch my ___ for a second" prank on Lando.
"Oh my girlfriend already did this prank to me," Lando said, laughing at the camera, "Baby, If you're watching this, I miss you. Your pranks are way better than McLaren's"
The video moved to show Lando during a post-qualifying interview, his suit hanging by his waist and his fireproofs showing, when asked about his strategy for the race, he cheekily replied, "Well, first I'm going to call my girlfriend for some good luck wishes. Then, I'll focus on getting to the front."
"Zak Brown should hire your girlfriend as your strategist then," the interviewer joked.
"That would be great but I don't think we would be getting any job done. You know what they say about mixing business with pleasure."
The next clip showed Lando with his friend and fellow driver Max Fewtrell, playing a trivia game about how well did they knew each other. Max had to answer what was Lando's worst habit.
"I'm going to say leaving dirty plates around the house," he said, showing his board, "You do mate, admit it."
"My girlfriend would agree on that," he admitted, "She's always complaining about it."
"I don't know how she's still living with you."
"Because she loves me, and I would die if she leaves me."
On the same note, a video of Oscar teasing Lando followed right after.
"Who's most likely to snore?" Lando read the question, and Oscar quickly put ut the cutout with Lando's face, "How are you so sure? You didn't even hesitate."
"Mate, I've heard you, plus your girlfriend literally complained about not being able to sleep properly last night because you kept snoring."
"I did keep her up last night, but it wasn't just because of the snoring," Lando said, a cheeky grin on his face.
"Put the not safe for work disclaimer at the beginning of this video please."
The next segment was from Lando's own Youtube channel, he was doing a little vlog in Miami before the race weekend.
"Hi everyone," he said, filming himself in the mirror with his camera, "Today I'm back with another LandoLog, I'm going to be filming some behind the scenes of this Miami weekend, so without further ado, let's go," he moved the camera around, focusing on his girlfriend who was putting some mascara on her eyelashes, "Here's my beautiful girl, who takes ages to get ready. Say hi baby."
"Hi everyone," his girlfriend waved, laughing, "I'm not taking ages, I'm just making sure I look good."
"You always look good for me," Lando said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before turning the camera back to himself, "See, I told you she's the best."
The next clip showed Lando and Oscar together once again, this time they were giving a tour around the McLaren hub.
"This is my driver's room," Lando said as he opened the door, "It's cleaner than Oscar's, clearly, and looks like I have a bed."
Lando moved to put together the small bed that was behind the door, "This is an upgrade from last year, we didn't have this. I'll be definitely giving it some good use, to nap or with my girlfriend."
"Can we have a video where you're not a horndog please?" Oscar said, putting his hands on his hips.
"You're the horndog, I never said what we were going to use it for, we're just going to cuddle."
The video moved to show one of Lando's post race interviews after winning the Miami GP, he had been asked ho would be the most excited person about this win besides him.
"My girlfriend, definitely. I couldn't have done it without her," Lando said, his voice filled with emotion, "She's been my biggest supporter, my inspiration, and my motivation. This win is as much hers as it is mine."
The video then cut to a scene from Lando's gaming stream with Max Verstappen. The two drivers were deep into a game of Call of Duty, their banter and laughter filling the screen. Lando was focused, his eyes glued to the monitor as he coordinated with Max.
Just then, Lando's phone buzzed on the table beside him. He glanced at the screen and his expression softened, the comment section noticing, "Hey, mate, I need to go. My girl needs me for something," he said, setting down his controller.
"Lando! Are you serious right now?" Max said, his eyes still glued to the screen.
"I am, see ya," he turned to the camera, smiling not so apologetically "Sorry, guys, duty calls. See you next time."
The last scene was a snippet from an interview, Lando had been asked what he saw in his future.
He paused, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Honestly? I see a lot of racing, hopefully some championships," he laughed, "but most importantly, I see her. I can't imagine my life without her."
The screen faded to black, showing a text that read: Get you a man who is as down for you as Lando Norris is for his girlfriend.
