susan foreman initially being baffled by 1960s english gender roles but slowly warming up to them over time as a means of self-expression that was never available to her on gallifrey while her grandfather stubbornly ignores all that nonsense as soon as he figures out which set of pronouns people expect him to use.
#the latest episode got me thinking about gender#doctor who#classic who#susan foreman#first doctor#ofc being a man allows the doctor more opportunities than his granddaughter as well as the opportunity to ignore those gender roles#since susan would definitely have to adjust to the different expectations of a more gendered society#but overall i think it would be less strict than gallifrey was at the time#and the 60s had a lot of rebellion going on#so she’d be able to experience a lot more freedom of self-expression than she was used to#that’s part of my headcanon for why susan warmed up to coal hill school so quickly

✰NEPTUNE IN ARIES✰
A once in a lifetime astrological event!
©️GeminiMoonMadness
✧・゚:*✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Neptune takes roughly 165 years to transit the whole zodiac and has been happily swimming through his own sign of Pisces since 2011. Neptune will transit Aries from 2025 to 2039, spending about 12 and a half years there in total, with a few dips in and out at either end. This represents the start of a new cycle of inspiration and change.
✧・゚:*✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Here are the dates:
-Enters Aries on 30 March 2025
-Retrogrades into Pisces on 22 October 2025
-Re-enters Aries to stay from 26 January 2026
-Dips into Taurus on 21 May 2038
-Final visit to Aries from 21 October 2038
-Enters Taurus to stay on 23 March 2039
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Neptune was last in Aries from 1861 to 1875 and brought to light humanity´s impulsiveness translated into wars, the creativity to invent and the determination to discover.
As Neptune transits the signs, it reveals what we idealise and look to for redemption or salvation. In Capricorn (1984-1998) it fed the idealisation of corporations and big business and in Aquarius (1998-2012) it idealised science and technology. In Pisces (2011-2025), it appears to be idealising deception itself because we’re all drowning in fake news and propaganda in a crazy-making post-truth hall of mirrors.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
WHAT HAPPENED IN HISTORY THE LAST TIME NEPTUNE WAS IN ARIES?
60 – 73 CE
-In Rome Christianity was spreading fast
-In Palestine there was a Jewish uprising against the Romans in 66 and Josephus wrote his history of the Jewish War which became a major source on Jesus.
388 – 401
-Christianity had become the official imperial religion of the Roman Empire in 391
-Theodosius prohibited all pagan cults and worship.
432 – 419 BCE
-The ancient Greek city states were always having falling outs/battling.
-The Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta began and ran for decades.
879-892
-Alfred the Great created a small fleet of ships to fight naval battles against the Vikings.
1206 – 1219
-Genghis Khan began his conquest of Eurasia
-The Christian Crusades were in full swing
1370 – 1383
-The Hundred Years War between England and France was going strong, it started in 1337 and ended in 1453.
-The Catholic Church split in 1378 and there were two rival popes until 1417
-The Church came under attack from 1377 by John Wycliffe, an English theologian.
-John Wycliffe (as above) completed the first translation of the Bible into English in 1382.
-1370s, the story of Robin Hood began to circulate (a tale of a classic Aries character).
1534-1547
-Henry VIII broke from Rome and declared himself supreme head of the Church of England
-This led to the dissolution of the monasteries in 1536 and the destruction of religious relics and churches, and endless fighting between Catholics and Protestants.
-In the 1540s Valerius Cordus wrote Dispensatorium, the first pharmacopeia covering medicinal plants, minerals and how to make drugs, published in 1546. He also discovered ether in 1540, which was used in pain relief for surgery – and for getting as high as a kite!
1697 – 1711
- Lots of fighting and rebellions in Europe over various things, including the War of Spanish Succession in which England took Gibraltar in 1704.
-England was getting tired of fighting the Scots, and in 1707 the Act of Union formed a new entity called Great Britain, unifying England and Scotland.
1861-1874
- American civil war commenced
- germ theory was invented
-Violence on the Australian goldfields
-Slavery
-Abraham Lincoln becomes president
-Franco-Prussian War
(Can you notice a trend?)

PREDICTION FOR 2025-2039:
Neptune in Aries could bring pioneering visions that reach into every part of society, with lots of new ideas and progressive thinking. There could be idealistic revolutions and social activism, visionary rebellions, crusades for truth and religious wars. Wars may be fought based on lies and deception (nothing new there then), or fought with bioweapons, chemicals and viruses.
At best, Neptune could inspire compassionate action and leadership that takes us away from the potential for war. But it could just as easily reveal the corruption and weakness of leaders that create power vacuums and trigger war by accident.
There may also be a massive loss of faith in leadership, a loss of belief in the nation or the system. People could turn away from the system out of disillusionment or even boredom, and lose themselves in escapist pursuits, like gaming or virtual reality.

Astrology Observations: No.29
*only based on my observations, only take what resonates
(Oml I didn’t realize that I haven’t written out a proper observations post since May?? I’m so sorry y’all life has been crazy b u s y and the world has been on fire due to colonialism, but I’m going to write more again 🙃 I love astrology but existence is wild y’all)
-I had a client say Geminis always get Gemini tattoos.. while getting a Gemini tattoo lol (and they were right!!) (Leo suns are second most likely imo)
-mutable venuses like changes in fashion a lot, they tend to go through fashion phases

-Every Pisces sun I’ve met has said they don’t really like being a Pisces at least once. Which is so interesting because Pisces sun isn’t a placement in determent, Libra is ! And I think 9 times out of 10 Libras will say they love being Libras (or it’s a huge part of their personality fr)
-My favorite thing I’ve heard from a Libra sun I knew was that they hated doing all of the things that made them appear socially functional so I said “why do you do it? why not just stop doing what you hate?” and they just looked blank like they couldn’t even imagine not conforming (even though they were an aqua moon)
-Ok so I’ve been wondering why I’ve had repetitive instances of some people being passive aggressive and w e i r d at my main job when I literally own the business and I’m their boss?? But it’s that Lilith in 10th. No one is neutral about your energy and you can rub folks the wrong way just by minding your business. I don’t like it but especially at work bc I’m a Capricorn and this isn’t productive >:/ lol
-Oh another Lilith touching Asc observation is when people start a conversation with me like 60-75% of the time they try to challenge me or ask lowkey rude questions (sneak diss shit lol) like 3 different people asked me what tattoo I regret the most and I was like ??? Hello? Who are you? Lol these streets oml…
-cancer placements can be really centered on defending their self, their perspective, their family, their community (they don’t have to be but it can be a common trait). I just noticed the pattern after ages of wondering why cancer was associated with nationalism on a wide scale. (Pluto in Cancer generation and the rise in nationalism after ww2 for example)
-I feel like Sagittarius placements (especially the big 3) will always be ready to do something new and life changing at any age (moving abroad, going on vacation and exploring new places, getting their first tattoo, anything that seems like it’ll open the door to a set of new experiences)
-Strong mars and mercury energy can make someone brutal in arguments (air mars, Virgo and Gemini mars, even Kendrick is an example he destroyed Drake- and Kendrick has mars conjunct Mercury and a Gemini sun)
-Sag Venus culture is being clingy because you need a lot of attention/stimulation and suddenly ditching when you don’t get enough attention/stimulation to keep your interest 🥴 (even more with sag mars since they’re action oriented, they’re in the same camp imo lol)
-I blame America’s Aquarius moon for the cultural phobia of being too “irrational” or “emotionally expressive” ….while being known as being too passionate and irrational in many non US cultures (also the US and the emotional detachment for the sake of “progress”, dark side of this placement but thematic nonetheless)
-imo when sun’s transiting your Lilith you can feel like a lot of attention is on you, sometimes good but often pretty scrutinizing. I also feel like you can achieve some impossible things during this transit due to Lilith’s energy (she’s built for rebellion, so when a lot of criticism is pointed her way she finds an unconventional way to come out on top)
-I have so much writing to do but if there are specific placements you want me to do observations on, let me know in the comments and my inbox!

my mother forbade me to cut my hair short ‘cause i’m supposed to look feminine😀 i hate it when she puts it like that. anyway, do you have any hairstyle recommendations to make my long hair more bearable? OR hairstyle recommendations in general, in case i can't stand it and go get a haircut in secret, lol
There's lots of ways to have masc long hair. I don't know a lot of names of things, so I just picked pictures. And I don't know what your hair type is, so I just kind of tried to pick a Lot of pictures. How your hair will be read will depend on other factors too, like the things you're wearing, so keep that in mind also.
The first thing you could do is just grow it and grow it and grow it. It might be the last thing you feel like doing, which is fair. Though I did this in high school when I was forbidden from cutting my hair short with the attitude of "you want it long? FINE. I WILL GIVE YOU LONG." So I could at least smirk at my act of rebellion. This hair is reminiscent of metal bands, skaters and surfers, and 90s grunge.
If you want to add to it, I think wearing a hat or other accessory can up the masc factor. In school or work you may not be able to get away with this though.
I could not find any cowboy hat pictures, but that's also a pretty good look if you've never tried it.
The next thing I thought of was the longer hair of the 60s and 70s. Skip this section if you don't have straight-ish hair or don't want to straighten it. Tended to be more styled than the longer hair above. It might feel reminiscent of "feminine" styles, I suppose. But fashion is weird like that. It might help if you re-frame your thought from "feminine" to "old school"
You may notice some of these guys have mustaches. Which is cheating. but it's the thought that counts.
For hair types that may lay a bit flatter than the above. This haircut is one of those cuts that has about a million names. You're better off just finding a picture of it.
Keanu Reeves has also had quite a few flat-ish hairstyles as well
This next one I don't see very often, but I think the low-ponytail is also a good masc look without having to cut your hair. And it's easy to combine with other hairstyles. May be worth testing out even if you get a different haircut.
Last one, my favorite one, the one I'm sure was expected of me. The perfect combination of long and short hair. Everybody hop aboard the mullet train.
Now you might be wondering. Why I have included a picture of Lisa Lisa. Well that is because I think her hair is extremely cool regardless of how feminine she wears it.
But also I am going to include some pictures of famous short haired women if you want to show your mom
And I also want to include the butches from this tumblr post
Because theyre a good example of mullets, low ponytails, and wearing hats.
Anyway I hope that helps

Time period post: Schools
Honestly surprised I didn’t cover this topic sooner, considering the characters are in high school. I’ll stick mainly to that range but I’ll bring in some broader information just for some additional knowledge. Like all my posts like this please consider this a starting point! If you’re interested look more into it as I can’t cover all of it and I’m trying to go off what’s potentially ‘most relevant’ to people’s fic writing.
Two important bits of context for 1960s schools: Student rights and desegregation.
‘Old school’-
Real quick terminology was a little different to refer to schools like elementary school would sometimes be “primary school” (I know this is still the case in Europe/Canada but large parts of the us no longer say this) or “grammar school” as a sort of preschool- early elementary range.
Junior high was also more common for a middle school but still used today in some parts. The age layout used to be different, sometimes depending on where you were kids from 12-18 would all be in the same huge school.
There were no smart boards or whiteboards. Chalkboards, pull down maps — students turned in everything either in cursive or written on a type writer! (There were entire typing classes for this skill as well. Then again when computers were slowly implemented in the 1980s) there were projectors however — either overhead, slide projector(which goes through a bunch of small photos aka slides) or a movie projector for educational film!
Copies were different too, worksheets would likely be from a Ditto (which had a particular smelling ink students loved).
What students carried-
No backpacks! It’s not until the mid 80s this really becomes a thing for schools. Lockers were used and you’d just carry home what books or materials needed, sometimes there were books traps which were mainly used by younger students (it’s a belt that goes around your books basically) girls would sometimes bring larger purses so they’d be able to carry the books too.
This is why there’s the trope of “oh Billy carry my books for me?💕” or students walking home with everything in their arms like in Halloween (1978)
Textbooks were pricey and the students responsibility so there’d be textbook covers! Sometimes nice ones were made when there’s something you like on it but if you’re poor or want your own custom ability you’d use a paper grocery bag.
There are those who buy lunch but if you bring it you either have a tin lunchbox or a brown paper bag (sack lunch) no cloth ones.
As mentioned above there was a lot more “life skills” based classes than there are today, some may exist in more rural communities but a lot of these got cut. Typing classes, drivers ed (in school!!), shop (Auto, wood and Metal), home economics -> from cooking, laundry, balancing checkbook etc.
Being called on/corrected-
Students weren’t people until the late 60s. I’m not kidding there were Supreme Court cases as there was a tendency of treatment and rights being actually acquainted to prisoners.
Dress codes weren’t as strict as the 40s and 50s but you’re still not wearing a tube top and daisy dukes to school. However the 60s are the age of teen rebellion…
Corporal punishment! You were allowed to be hit by a teacher if deemed necessary. Sending to the office/punishment in general was also more common : detention, suspension, expulsion etc (I mean this as actual and not just irrational as lately there’s been almost too lax)
Truancy officers! Making sure kids are in school, not skipping, missing etc.
There also seems to be more academic demand and rigor on the outside looking in on the time period, however I’ll say it with a grain of salt as some of it may be a ‘back in my day’ style…
Locality-
In a small or rural town school events would mean far more, especially back then. Clubs, fundraisers, carnivals and sports all were a huge part of students and the communities social life! Going to watch the football game was a big thing. Same goes for school dances like prom and homecoming.
This also makes things like superlatives, awards, sports wins etc more impactful.

AN ALIEN STAGE PROJECT SEKAI AU
except it’s not really what you’d expect.
Minori Hanasato
-> she had originally wanted to participate in Alien Stage because of a long time winner, Haruka.
-> Her ideal dream was to meet her one day. Nobody told her that she died in a round against Kanade.
-> Started to sing because of Haruka, being the catalyst for what got Kohane interested.
-> Status: Dead (Round 1)
-> What Minori thinks of others:
• kohane (100%)
- “My best friend! I wouldn’t be here without her! I love her so so much~!”
• an (70%)
- “She seems to like Kohane-chan a lot. I see her around and she’s so cool~! I don’t hangout with An-chan much compared to Kohane-chan though…”
• mizuki (80%)
- “Mizuki-chan is one of my biggest fans! Next to Kohane-chan of course! I talk to her when An-chan and Kohane-chan are together.”
Kohane Azusawa
-> Participated in the first round with Minori and ended up being the winner. She still thinks about her even until now.
-> Got rescued by Tsukasa’s group when Kanade almost won the round.
-> She worries about the rest of her friends. If she can rescue them in time.
-> Status: Alive (Escaped round 5)
-> What Kohane thinks of others:

• mizuki (60%)
- “Akiyama…?”
• tsukasa (90%)
- “you saved me. why? i owe my life to you, Tsukasa-san.”
• kanade (20%)
- “…”
Mizuki Akiyama
-> Pining over An since she could remember. All they want is for An to look her way.
-> A close friend of An. They went on silly adventures when they were younger. Almost escaped together.
-> Very well known. She does modeling gigs and sponsorships.
-> Status: Dead (Round 6)
-> What Mizuki thinks of others:
• minori (80%)
- “Minori-chan? Did you do that on purpose?”
• kohane (60%)
- “An misses you. She stopped singing when you left.”
• an (100%)
- “cheer up.”
An Shiraishi
-> head over heels with Kohane. Was an absolute wreck when she went missing.
-> The aliens like taunting her a lot due to misbehavior. She a rebel like that.
-> Ever since Round 6, she hasn’t been the same. People wonder if she’ll even be in the 7th round with Kanade.
-> Status: Alive (for now…)
-> What An thinks of others:
• kohane (100%)
- “… kohane…”
• mizuki (???)
- “… i’m sorry…”
• minori (70%)
- “hope you’re doing alright wherever you are, Minori-chan.”
• kanade (20%)
- “Kanade… I can’t face you. I don’t want to die.”
Kanade Yoisaki
-> Ruler of the stage. She replaced Haruka this round after she got killed in Round 4.
-> She really wanted to go against the proud star and childhood best friend, Tsukasa Tenma who was supposed to go against Haruka in previous rounds but dropped out for an unknown reason.
-> She doesn’t talk much aside from singing.
-> Status: Alive
-> What Kanade thinks of others:
• minori (10%)
- “…”
• mizuki (20%)
- “she would have been a good opponent.”
• an (30%)
- “i’m glad to go against her.”
• tsukasa (100%)
- “it’s been a while, Tsukasa-san. Hope your spirit didn’t go away.”
• kohane (30%)
- “hm…”
Tsukasa Tenma
-> Had thought that Alien Stage and being in the spotlight was all he wanted. Turns out he was wrong.
-> He starts a human rebellion after escaping and dropping out of Alien Stage at the disappearance of his sister, Saki and death of his other childhood friend, Toya Aoyagi
-> This rebellion has three other people in it: Emu Otori, Rui Kamishiro and Nene Kusanagi
-> Status: Alive
-> What Tsukasa thinks of others:
• kanade
- “Yoisaki-San. Just what are you planning?”
• kohane
- “We’ll get through this, Azusawa! I believe in us!”

Hey let's talk about the punk genre, what punk stands for, what the punk genre really is and what it actually means to be punk
Because so many people are completely misunderstanding the punk subcultures of to-yester-day that people are just simply considering them aesthetics and alternative life styles when it's so much more complicated then that and leads to people spreading misinformation like "cpunk is for ALL disabilities and not exclusive what so ever"
Note: I realize during my talk I mention punk subgenre when really I'm talking about punk subcultures, please keep this in mind while you read! Thank you!
For starters; the term punk, first used in the late 1500's at the earliest to refer to prostitutes, was popularized in the mid 1900's when in 1971 a rock journalist (Greg Shaw) used the term to describe The Guess Who's music.
What became as a synonym for "hoodlum" or "ruffian" got adopted in the 70's by rock bands like Sex Pistols as a form of rebelling against how "commercial" rock'n'roll music had become in the 60's and to continue the counterculture movements from that previous decade.
Overtime the word and therein punk culture gained the association of rebellion and community built on common ground against a certain thing or towards a common objective (such as being against record labels restricting musicians, wanting accessibility for certain people and fairness for people regardless of class and wealth status etc).
People who would attend the "punk rock" concerts would show up in the work out clothing they had and whatever they could afford at the time, second hand clothing, ripped jeans, worn out leather jackets, and thus earned themselves getting called "punks" or "punk rockers" for their "inappropriate/poor dress" and the controversial bands they would listen to
This carried over to that sort of dress becoming an alternative style commonly worn by those who liked rock and metal bands and this monopolized upon by capitalism (the exact thing punk rockers were against to begin with, as most rock bands at the time were literal garage bands)
And this evolved to the reason elderly would yell at teenagers calling them punks and what the punk genre has become today.
As for what it means to be punk, it can vary from person to person and subgenre to subgenre, more specifically it varies from person within subgenre to person within another subgenre.
Punk rockers might define being punk as in going against the dress codes and such that restrict you from self expression, allowing people to attend concerts without have to pay ridiculous amounts of money, being anti-capitalist etc
Whereas cpunk or as we call ourselves "cripple" punks (as is what the c in cpunk stands for) it is clearly defined by the coiner of our community who is no longer with us, taking back the slur cripple for ourselves, fighting for accessibility and having a sense of community at all for physically disabled folk. Some have even said the most punk thing we can do is survive the day living authentically in a world that's literally built against us deformed and physically disabled folk.
To be punk can mean plenty of different things but most commonly it's to fight for equality, to be ourselves, to be seen. It's to go against the rules and authority that want you to conform to their ideals, and plenty of other similar beliefs.
Punk folk have always been labeled as such because of how we are treated for how we look, act, what we listen to and believe, and in general for how we stand out.
Punk fashion started as a DIY, punk music was always about anti-authority and anti-capitalist views, punk as a genre has always been about individuality in community and things many corporations hated.
It's always been more complex than just wearing a leather jacket with an edgy patch and spiked or coloured hair while listening to a band with heavy guitar. It will always be more than an aesthetic or life style.
Why bring this up?
Because these past few years a lot of punk's history have gotten ignored, stepped under the rug and misunderstood.
There's been people forcing themselves into spaces like able bodied people trying to claim to be cpunk when the community isn't for them.
There's been people gatekeeping punk in completely misinformed ways, when to be punk is that you don't fit in a box at all (hence the non conformity)
And there's just been non stop misinformation all together.
Punk is pro-sex workers. Punk is anti conformity. Punk is pro equity. And punk is not for those who harass others and insult them for any reason, regardless of how much you disagree with them.
Regardless of how you define punk, the most important thing is that you listen to voices of others. Don't disregard them like people have done to us all this time.
Thank you so much for letting me ramble off I hope this post has been helpful!
I also apologize for the lack of ids.

May i order a poppy info dump please
Oh, Poppy Ludwig (Oliveira) my BELOVED.
I don't think it's very clear yet in the actual fanfic, but Poppy's entire character arc here is learning to stop viewing the others as monsters, but as victims just like herself! There's some hint of a theme about how she was a bit more priviledged than the others when it came to how the scientists treated her, and she was able to see them as people rather than JUST the monsters that were keeping her locked away, and how this affected her willingness to participate in the Hour of Joy. Poppy is sooo fascinating because she goes from being one of the few of the experiments to see the workers of PlayCo. as people and the other toys as monsters, to being the one to remind others that EVERYONE is a victim.
Poppy to me is a very calculative and manipulative person, but unlike other characters - Pierre, for example -, she didn't forget about her own compassion. She's hiding a lot of things from Angel, but she isn't proud or happy about that. She doesn't want to lie. Frankly, she's tired of always having to play chess in order to have her friends and allies have one single day of rest. She has been locked away in a GLASS cage for more than a decade, and trapped inside PlayCo. for almost as long as the Prototype himself was. And before that, she was constantly bedridden thanks to her body falling apart. She has been stuck in places, only able to watch from afar as her entire world changed, and with each passing day she's growing increasingly more and more tired and desperate. Imagine wanting to save everyone but always being fated to get stuck or locked away somewhere for things completely beyond your control!
And, speaking of which. Control. Not the AMAZING game Control (2019) by Remedy, but the concept of control. Poppy has been wanting control of her own life for sooo long. Doesn't justify her constant lies and manipulations, but it does make it VERY fun writing for her. And yet! Elliot Ludwig, her dad, the most important person in her entire life, had taught her to, above all else, be kind. And even after decades since she last heard this, Poppy still takes the advice to heart, and when Angel appears and starts doing exactly just that, she realizes that her entire worldview was very, very flawed. The others were wrong to partake in the Hour of Joy, but she was also wrong to think of them solely as monsters.
Also. Despite her being TECHNICALLY on her 60s, Poppy is still mentally a goofy 30-something year-old who was raised by an even goofier guy. She's the main "head of operations" behind the whole rebellion against the Prototype, but she was the one making jokes to cheer up Dogday, Kissy and Ollie. She was the one telling them to rest and getting super worried about them. And after Angel leaves the factory with everyone, Poppy will FINALLY allow herself to be even goofier, despite the horrors she witnessed.
I gotta say that I see her as only being transformed into a sort of "leader" while inside PlayCo. because she was the oldest of the group. Poppy can command people around in a work setting, but inside the factory, she was just "that one toy who wants to be merciful to our captors". She'll get better, esp after her main character arc, and she will be promoted to the go-to older sister of the group, but this will take some time!
I hc her as having severe fear of closed and small spaces post-factory. She thinks it doesn't make sense, only to realize her fear is not of closed spaces, but the feeling of being trapped inside of them. She can use a vent but DON'T put her inside a box. Ever.
Also the relationship between her and the Prototype........ DELICIOUS to write about. These two are all "we're nothing like each other!" but Elliot IS her dad and she DID get habits from him. The head tilt may be the main one, but she makes tea and coffee the same way he always did, and folds her clothes the same way, and makes the same stupid STUUUPID jokes as him. It's amazing.

hello, sirenc0re! i come here to ask if you have any RTC character headcanons that you wouldn't mind divulging?
ohhh i have a few! these are somewhat disorganized, i dont think ive really shared these outside of a single reddit comment. anyways:
penny loves boybands ofc (backstreet boys, nsync, obviously 'seven up' before it split) but further than that i think she likes 60s-70s pop too- fleetwood mac, kate bush, the beatles, etc
ezra is the one that's genuinely really into gangsta rap. NWA, tupac, snoop, dr dre... and of course eminem (though he isnt really a gangsta rapper. it's adjacent) i think rap in general is something he likes. though he's like, a smartass. so i think that at least early on he would "like" it the same way he likes penny's boybands (something to mock as the pinnacle of empty and vapid commercialism) before he actually starts appreciating it as art (JK-47 notwithstanding) and not something he has to prove against. so im saying he would genuinely like tribe called quest. it's in my mind. i am manifesting it. as a side note, i jokingly wanted to be like AND HE LISTENS TO MACKLEMOREEEE but im a hard ass and in the timeline that exists in my head it's 2009. and in 2009 mackle had the penis song as the first track of his debut album. make of that what you will
ocean's whole straight-lace schtick is her twisted version of a teenage rebellion against her hippy parents. she also makes herself seem better off than she actually is. im of the firm belief that pretty much everyone in uranium (except perhaps constance's parents and misha's adoptives) is broke. and i think that with her parents lifestyle, ocean would be on the lower end of that spectrum and it's a big insecurity of hers that she tries very hard to project against to varying degrees of success
noel says he was saving up to go to france, but if you looked at his bank account there would be maybe 200~ saved there. most of his wages went to supporting himself and his single mother
post-cyclone au, i think ocean would shift away from politics and become a personal injury attorney
post-cyclone au, ricky becomes a sci-fi erotica author… i like to think he's extremely successful in that particular niche
post-cyclone au, ocean and noel's relationship becomes wayyy less hostile. they still 'fight' but all the venom has been sucked out of their words. one time he tripped her in the hallway inbetween class periods, which prompted her to halfheartedly kick his ankles, which leads to a 'fight' that gets her in trouble in school for the first time in an actual decade (she's pissed)
post-cyclone au, constance's epiphany about life being beautiful makes her a lot more bold. which is to say she now has the confidence to go on a million little sidequests for no other reason than to experience the bounties of existence. penny wants to go to a concert 3 hours away but she's still banned from the bus? constance knows how to drive and the unlimited trust of her parents, hop in
very much inspired by ray winter's take on misha when he was answering asks about it so i've absorbed it because it makes sense: misha was a class clown back home and pretty well-liked. he's such a solid and passionate dude, and way more kind than he's allowed to be because everything in canada seems to hate him. i believe that his 'attitude' problem mostly stems from loneliness, (which is kinda exerted on him but also enforced by him after a certain point since i think he retracts himself into his phone with talia rather than be in the real world where he is miserable) and that he would have done so much better if he had one genuine friend he could talk to. in a post-cyclone au, he gets a bunch of those, and no longer feels like all of those emotions are being stiffled or bottled up
those are all the HCs that are relevant i think ^_^
#ride the cyclone#rtc#i wanted to write down more ricky ones because i do have thoughts on him but its hard to really put them into words#because they're less headcanons and more just expansions on whats already there so like. kind of redundant#and i dont want to force myself to think of something. it will come to me in time. preferably in a vision#also just siren is fine!

Round 2, Match 30: Kazuma Kiryu vs. Yuugo and Lucas
Submitted kids:
Kazuma Kiryu: Haruka, Ayako, Eri, Riona, Izumi, Taichi, Koji, Mitsuo, and Shiro
Yuugo and Lucas: My guy. [They have] like 60. I'm not gonna list them all.
Propaganda under the cut! (Spoilers ahead!)
Kazuma Kiryu:
1. “There's a pretty big section of one of the game that's entirely about taking care of all those kids and it's all really sweet !”
2. “How the fuck did he get 9. There’s like 6-8 games where he’s the main character and he adopts haruka rlly early, but then in one game in the middle of the series, in the beginning like opening scenes he’s like avtually fuck it I’m adopting an ENTIRE orphanage/eight WHOLE children. (not a bit like. He actually did that) he’s the silliest billy badass old man. Grampy Kiryu also, bc haruka has a kid now.”
Yuugo and Lucas:
Yuugo: “I LOVE THIS RAT MAN SO MUCH ok so he starts off not wanting anything to do with these 15 children (ik i said 60 but they come later) who showed up at his doorstep because yk his entire family was killed and he's afraid of loving someone in the same way again. So he tries to push them away but oh boy these kids are clingy and also they found the emergency detonator and threatened him with blowing up his house.
Here's the thing though one character arc, the reuniting with his friend who he thought was long dead, and the rescue of an entire hunting ground full of kids later raising these kids literally becomes his new purpose in life. Along with Lucas (his aforementioned friend who I'm convinced is married to him) he helps teach them everything he knows about surviving in such a hostile world, things he himself had to learn the hard way which cost a lot of his loved ones his life. Before these kids showed up he was hopeless and without purpose. He didn't know why he was still alive and even contemplated ending it all. But all this changed when he adopted these kids.
Lucas: Anyway imagine watching your entire family die in front of you because you got trapped in a human hunting ground run by man eating demons, so you start a rebellion by recruiting kids in the hunting ground and teach them how to use guns among other things. That's what Lucas did!! :D
Anyway it's pretty much confirmed that he's the kids' confirmed dad, there's like 2 scenes where they outright call him their father. But I disgress.
Much of what I said in the Yuugo propaganda applies to him as well, he teaches the kids all he knows about survival which he had to learn the hard way and would protect them with his life. The difference is he's been doing the parent thing for a lot longer, he literally RAISED the Goldy Pond kids.
Both: First off: gay marriage. Second: The way they know exactly what it's like to lose loved ones due to inexperience and how they went "yeah no way in Hell this is gonna happen to these kids we're gonna prepare them for The Horrors" was a 2 person thing you think it's easy to take care of 60 children and homeschool them? Third: This is spoilers btw. They go and do a Die Hard (infiltrate a building that's been completely overtaken by the enemy and take it back from the inside) just so their children wouldn't have to live with the trauma of killing an actual human being.
I wish they were my dads.”

Who are the monkees?
YESSSSSSSSSSSS
DEAR LORD YES
(Sorry I don’t get this question very often)
Anyways, allow me to introduce you to The Monkees
They were a 60s rock band with a TV show(like the Aquabats). Originally created to make money and sell records but after a rebellion from their music producer, they truly(at least in my eyes) became a true band. Unfortunately a lot of factors caused the bands decline in popularity and their dissolvement. They did get back together in the 80’s and 90’s with a little surge in popularity, and thoughout the 2000s and 2010s they continued to tour. Currently the last remaining Monkee(Micky) is doing shows to honor the band these years.(this is definitely a cliff notes version bc(well I kinda lost my Monkee Autism for MCR autism and there’s no way I can fit the entire story into a single post, we can keep talking about this through dm through)
Now for the members. This group consists of four members. Davy, Micky, Peter, and Mike
Here’s a photo
The first member is Davy Jones.(Bottom Right)Short, British, and babyfaced. He’s basically the “Paul McCartney” of the group, the one that all the girls love(at least when the show first aired). In the band lineup, he does vocals, tambourine, and maracas(usually has like fifty maracas) In the show, he’s the group’s hopeless romantic. Always going after a girl and falling in love. However that whole “Davy falls in love and now it’s our problem” is much more of a season one plot line than season two(not to say doesn’t happen there too.)
Next is Micky Dolenz.(Top left). The bands…(for really lack of a better term here) wild card. He’s very energetic and comedic. In the band he’s the drummer but also does vocals most of the time. In the show, he’s wild, chaotic, and the jokester of the group.
Next is Peter Tork( bottom right). Sweet, sensitive Peter. Look at him isn’t he cute? In the band, he’s the bassist, but also plays a multitude of instruments. In the show he was the dummy. The butt of the joke all the time. His shy, awkward(auto fill suggested knees here, and I’m questioning everything), personality and lack of social skills was a constant joke during the series. Actual Peter is pretty intellectual.
Last but certainly not least(especially on this blog) is Mike(top right, in the green wool hat) the second Michael in my life(Mikey was the first). Ah Michael Nesmith. Where to start? Stoic, quiet, aloof, but a total goof sometimes.(starting to sound familiar here)He has what this website calls…autism swag. Usually wearing a little hat(okay now that I type this here I’m starting to realize the similarities between the two Michaels in my life), this Texan is the “serious one.” The dad of group basically. In the band he plays guitar and actually wrote a few songs(oh we’re gonna talk about this). In the show, he was basically the voice of reason. Not really focused on that much, but he had his moments. I should mention that he got rid of the hat around season two, but you can still identify him by his massive sideburns.
Look at these
Look at the size of them
NOW THE SHOW AND MUSIC.
The show: The show aired from 1966-1968 with two seasons. They also had two tv specials and one hella trippy movie. Currently a lot of the episodes have been taken off YT(damn copyright) but we have archive.com and many drive folders containing these episodes. Episode plots can go from “guys Davy’s in love again and now it’s our problem” to “Crap we can’t pay the rent” to “crap we gotta save America from spies”. And season two only gets weirder. Each episode usually contains two “romps” which are basically music videos that showcase songs(like I said made to sell records)
(I do gotta warn you tho. This show was made in the 60s…so some of the content is not actually…politically correct according to today’s standards. So yea just be prepared for that)
Episodes I’d personally recommend for beginners are
Season 1 Ep 8: don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. A simple episode. Displays each of the characters personally traits pretty well. Has good songs.
Season 1 ep 23: Captain Crocodilez a pretty funny episode. Got a lot of that typical Monkee rapid fire random humor(which is kinda Aquabatsish). Some good romps and I find this ep quite enjoyable
Season one ep 12: I’ve got a little song here. This is a Mike focused episode and is a little bit sadder than the majority of eps, but is overall good. It’s got the bands superhero personas, the Monkeemen. Good songs too.
Season two episode 16: fairytale. An iconic episode.(so sometimes the guys would dress up in drag to make their schemes work and there’s lots of that in this episode) it’s a bit more off the walls(which is normal in season two) but still overall a good episode.
Here’s the link for the archive(kinda bad quality but pretty accessible)
Edit: so i checked and something is wrong with the link….so yea
Ummm if yall want I can dm you a link to one of the drives
NOW FOR MUSIC
(Buckle up)
So the group(in the tv show years) released(holy shit) 9 albums.
The Monkees(a classic album of songs from the show) notable tracks include Last train to Clarksville, Saturday’s child, Sweet Young Thing, and Papa Gene’s blues
More of the Monkees(another classic, once again full of songs from the show) notable tracks include Mary,Mary , I’m not your stepping stone, the kind of girl I could love, and(you probably know this one) I’m a believer(yep the song from shrek was a Monkees song)
However, these albums were made with little to no creative control. Opting for studio musicans and writers than the actual guys themselves(who were all pretty good musicans) but after some rebellion, the producer getting fired, and a hole in a hotel wall(before the producer got fired,(guess who did this one lol). The band was able to play their own instruments.
Which brings us to an era which I personally consider the bands finest:
Headquarters: a masterpiece with the group playing almost of all their own instruments. Notable tracks include: Sunny Girlfriend, for Pete’s sake, and Randy Scouse Git
Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones(thats actually all the members zodiac signs, expect Davy’s bc him and Mike are both Capricorns and they actually share a birthday(Dec 30): this is their psychedelic album(hey it’s 1967 everyone’s doing it) Notable tracks here include: Pleasant Valley Sunday, Love is only sleeping, Star Collector and the door into summer.
The Birds, The Bees, and The Monkees: another classic👌. Notable tracks here include: Daydream Believer, Tapioca Tundra, and Dream World.
We then have the HEAD(that trippy movie i was talking about(that’s a little advanced tho, stick to the show for now) soundtrack: notable tracks here include: Porpoise Song, As we go along, circle sky, and daddy’s song.
Now for some mythbustijg bc oh boy
They didn’t play their own instruments: actually a lot of the guys were originally musicians before the show(Mike and Peter were folk singers, and Davy worked in broadway(not an instrument but still cool to know). We kinda already debunked this one though so let’s move on to the next:
They didn’t write their own songs: kinda true. The studio did bring in some studio writers to write songs, but the guys actually wrote some songs themselves(mainly Mike, but the others did too)
Ok well I’ve been typing for quite a while now and my hands tried soo ima leave this here. DM me if you want any more info(I have a master degree in the history of Micheal Nesmith with a minor in the band and show history)
#sorry for the Monkee introduction master post I just got excited#also probably not my best but blame the autism wanting Mikey Way instead of Mike Nesmith#(yea so this is my orginal classic rock/Monkee autism blog#the one you know me for this is my MCR/Mikey Way/Killjoy Ocs/Aquabats autism blog#Monkees introducry master post#the monkees

Volunteering at my first powwow and do you have any tips for dealing with the panindianism? I’ve never been in a space that’s so set on homogenizing into a single “Native American” culture. Are all powwows like this or am I at a bad egg 😫 (also the weird gender binary (the whole sacred womyn with wombs thing) is so strong and I am so twospiritly uncomfortable).
Omg thats so exciting! :) good for you!
And that's kind of the thing with pow wows. They're not really like traditional ceremonies, so there usually isn't like one tribe's specific practices and beliefs being followed by everyone (although the conduction of the pow wow or some of the practices involved will likely be influenced by where you are & which tribe(s) is hosting it for the more spiritual bits). Pow wows kind of arose out of a desperation to try preserve parts of our cultures, and that's why they're so "public" & "pan-indian" I suppose you could say. But there's also stuff that isn't like "pan-Indian" in the purposeful sense, but rather that it's just a coincidence and overlap of cultures that happen to practice the same thing.
like, the Northern war dance in traditional bustle. Multiple tribes practiced that & danced like that in that style, it IS a traditional dance & one of the oldest, it didn't come about specifically to make it "pan-indian" or to strip a tribe of its individual traditions for the sake of panindianism, it just happened to be a dance practiced by multiple tribes, so it's included in pow wows. Take that but also compare it to something like fancy shawl dancing, which is very new (came in the 60s), isn't traditional, and anyone can dance it specifically because it doesn't have roots in any one tribe (iirc), & in a way you might say it was made to be panIndian. Pow wows in different ways, are still a celebration of traditions & dances not lost, & have a history of rebellion against oppression, so I think we continue to do them out of a sense of pride in that. So if it helps you to bear through it, you could think of it that way.
But i can see why you might not like a pow wow, and you don't have to honestly. Pow wows in the modern sense aren't really traditional (some aspects are, though), and again pow wows had to be used under the guise of "entertainment" because it used to be illegal to practice our dances, & pow wows evolved into what they are now. In some ways they're just for show. One thing I personally don't like about pow wows is how competitive & monetized they've become, and lots of people only participate in it for the (potential) money, like for competitions.
So, I'd say different ways to potentially deal with this:
Go to traditional pow wows. There's more traditional things involved, dancers get fed for free, usually less people, and no competitions. This could also potentially mean that the tribe who's land your on for the pow wow will be the main focus for spiritual/traditional affairs & practices throughout. (Aka, more likely less pan-indianism)
Go to more local, less popular pow wows, like school pow wows in your area. Sometimes schools (like universities or high schools) will host their own mini pow wow (usually a day) & will invite people within the community & ones nearby to visit. This also means most of the people dancing & in attendance will be people of the same tribe or neighboring ones, and a similar deal with above.
Go to LESS local pow wows, if you can. What I mean by this, is try to go to one far away. Some tribes do pow wows very differently & include different dances, especially if the cultures are very different, so if you can find one like that, maybe this'll be refreshing from the culture shock alone. Different areas will feature more local & tribe specific dances depending on where you go, like Haudenosaunee smoke dancing or Ojibwe woodland dance
Try the food more from different stores & ask where they're from. Food trucks like to travel FAR and wide, and there's literally so many different food types from different tribes, so trying their different foods would get you more perspective on people showing off their culture's different foods
When observing pow wow dancers, look at how different their regalia are. All regalia is hand made, and many make their own, or get it from someone of the same tribe. People often like to show off their specific tribe pride in their regalia designs, which shows they're NOT trying to be pan-Indian. A specific style of floral beadwork on a jingle dress might indicate someone is Ojibwe. A specific braided hairstyle could show someone is Lakota. A woman who's a traditional dancer & wearing a blue, elk tooth dress with a triangular red collar could mean she's a Crow woman. A fancy shawl dancer with lines painted on her chin could mean she's Cree or Dene & paying homage to traditional tattoos. Lots of people subtly show off their culture this way, & it's fun to see where someone might come from this way, & comfort you
In a way there's always going to be a pan-indian aspect of pow wows, but for the most part people don't really go to pow wows specifically to say "we are all one tribe, pan-indianism forever", or specifically for the sake of pan-indianism, they see it more as a celebration of multiple tribes together and pow wows are just the medium for doing it. & the history or pow wows just kind of amalgamated on what they are today, there wasn't one meeting where Native people said "we're going to be pan-Indian now" & continued to do it, it just kind of happened due to a number of factors (forced illegalization of our traditional dances & ceremonies being a big one). So Idk if I necessarily agree with you there that pow wows are VERY SPECIFICALLY intently set on pan-Indigenizing, but even so you also don't have to like pow wows! Maybe it's also the pow wows you've been going to.
I can't singlehandedly do much about the borderline fetishization & obsession of Native women & "womb sacredness" or give you a foolproof method for how to "avoid" it, even though I also don't like it, even as a cis woman. I'm curious as to what pow wows you're visiting just because I don't hear it THAT often at specifically pow wows (like maybe its the emcees?), but I have heard it before (I see it more in facebook tbh). The only thing I can say is that there's times I don't think people always do this on purpose, because I've seen even trans friendly/generally progressive (if not a little ignorant but well meaning) people say things like this, but that they're forgetting to not be so cis-centric and that they don't realize it's weird, even for cis women. Which is still annoying, though. Like its kind of misogynist to define women's importance on their potential ability to have kids, or their relationship to someone else ("our mothers/sisters/daughters" etc) regardless of how you dress it up in "traditional" language, or whether you're talking about cis or trans women or people with uteruses. You see that in spaces that aren't pow wows as well, & you see it a LOT in discussions of mmiw.
Pow wow dance categories aren't even separated by genders, they're separated by.... categories. You just pick which category you want to dance in & you dance it. My cis cousin danced Chicken (a war dance more popular with men) for several years, and she's a straight woman. I'm not saying you can't or won't run into transphobia at pow wows, but like even the dances themselves aren't strictly seperated by gender (even if the announcers forget this & use cis-centric language like "men's traditional" when they could just say "traditional bustle" or "northern war dance"), and there WILL and HAVE been twospirit & lgbt ndns dancing various dances not typically associated with their gender at p much every pow wow. Again, I can't do anything about that, but maybe try find a two-spirit pow wow to go to. That will likely improve your experience.
I'm sorry this came out so LONG but I sincerely hope you get a better experience with pow wows if you decide to go to more, and that you get to have fun at your next one!
#ndn#anonymous#half the time i never explain things the way i want to im sorry dbthtf#youre not a bad egg :)

We're long overdue a merch showcase yaaayy! I've had a lot of great finds recently!
This is all my Madoka merch in my little shrine (plus some dolls and stuff that dont fit elsewhere :P my room is stuffed... ) I'm so happy to have everything I have, especially any witch stuff. Looking at it, you'd think homura was my favourite character but no XD its mami lol I've just happened along a lot of her stuff and I wanted to collect all her plaits figures. I have all the plaits homura kyun-chara now!!! :D
My recent additions are the nagisa nendoroid and school uniform homura cupoche and figma. The nagisa was £60 from ebay. Yes, its a lot and the most ive spent on anything but my god, she goes for over 100 usually, it was a steal (box and all). The homuras were £20 each from vinted which is even more of a steal, i am ecstatic about them because they also go for extortionate prices. (the only bad thing is that figma homu doesnt have a smiling face :( )
My favourite item is probably either my Lotte or Elly since they're both rare and I got them for good prices but also all of my Nagisa merch because damn she has nowhere near enough figure merch... Also the witch stage sets cause they're SO cute
The handmade stuff is (left to right): Elly figure, a human Elly doll made by my bestie for a doll trade, Charlotte figure, a Sasa doll from Oriko Magica, plush Candeloro at the top, Charlotte doll, Valentines charlotte figure, papercraft Oktavia (very top), back down is a Manuke figure, maid Lotte figure with custom Mami and Homura dolls above, swimsuit Homulilly figure and a Walpurgisnacht doll~!
Nagisa is certainly one I don't regret spending money on but I kinda do with the plaits homura dangler just right of Sasa. I got her because she was a good price (though still from america so the shipping was a lot). She's rarer so I thought she'd never show up again for a good price but then after I bought her I saw another listing??? So she's not that rare?! Like, come on... T-T I love her but I remember when she came, I didn't get that excitement spark from her. Maybe because she was smaller than I expected. I can't help but look at her and think 'eh, was she worth it..?' I guess I'm glad to have another plaits homura piece of merch...
On my wishlist is of course any witch merch and plaits homura as well as nagisa and cute mamis. Ones I'd really like are the school uniform mami nendoroid and maybe the maiko one (less so but she comes with charlotte :P ). Definitely the movic witch sets, though im less fussed about the familiars. My big wants are oktavia, walpurgis, patricia and elsa maria. Also the homulilly from the rebellion set but im sure she is way rarer... Nagisa's kyun-chara. I missed a good listing on ebay for that once and i regret it T-T The Mami and Charlotte stage set. It's the last one I want from the set..!

Today’s compilation:
James Dean: Tribute to a Rebel 1991 Rock & Roll / Pop-Rock / Hot Rod / Instrumental Rock / Teen Tragedies
Well, this album definitely felt a bit weird and ham-fisted. Normally, tribute albums are made in order to celebrate and honor the legacy of a certain artist or band, but in this case, Capitol-EMI sublabel CEMA Special Markets thought it a good idea to celebrate and honor the legacy of someone who *was not* a musician: the posterchild for mid-50s male youth rebellion himself, James Dean.
But only a few of the songs on this album actually seem to make any reference to the guy at all: the opening classic bit of minimalist 1974 brilliance, David Essex's "Rock On," mentions Dean's name directly; the closing somber a cappella done by The Beach Boys, "A Young Man Is Gone," is a lyrically revised version of The Four Freshmen's rendition of a song called "Their Hearts Were Full of Spring," and is a clear ode to Dean himself; and an obscure, sweltering, mid-60s hot rod instrumental in the middle that feels like it was made for the open road, by Davie Allan & The Arrows, shares the same name as the film that Dean was most famous for starring in: "The Rebel (Without a Cause)."
And before that Arrows one made its way onto this comp, the only other place you could've found it was on an Arrows LP called Apache '65, which was released in, you guessed it, 1965. It wasn't a hit, wasn't released as a single, and it wasn't on any other V/A comp either, so props to whoever was ultimately responsible for compiling this thing for including it, because although it shares the same name as Dean's most famous film, it's also probably the most obscure song on this album. Go figure!
But the rest of these songs don't really seem to have anything to do with James Dean, besides carrying the same themes that wound up defining his persona and story: cars, racing those cars, ungrounded rebelliousness, and tragic motor accidents.
And there are a whole lot of songs out there that are about all of those subjects, so I guess I really just find it kinda odd and crass to try to cash in on this dude's legacy by retrofitting a bunch of songs onto a compilation and then claiming that they somehow specifically represent his very own essence. Can't say that I'm particularly a huge fan of this strange angle.
But still, every song on here, on its own, is nothing short of great. Had CEMA tried to market this collection as something more vague, with a title that's more clever, but basically means the same thing as Songs for and About Cool Dudes😎, this album definitely wouldn't have left as sour of a taste in my mouth as it did.
Great collection of pop and rock oldies that span the 50s through 70s, but an awkward theme to unite them all under, I think. There’s gotta be a classier and more authentic way of celebrating and honoring James Dean than this.
Highlights:
David Essex - "Rock On" Duane Eddy - "Rebel Rouser" The Shangri-Las - "Leader of the Pack" Eddie Cochran - "My Way" Chuck Berry - "No Particular Place to Go" Dion - "The Wanderer" The Arrows - "The Rebel (Without a Cause)" The Allman Brothers Band - "Ramblin' Man" The Beach Boys - "Shut Down" Link Wray - "Rumble" The Rip Chords - "Hey Little Cobra" Gene Vincent - "Race With the Devil" Jan & Dean - "Dead Man's Curve" The Beach Boys - "A Young Man Is Gone"

This is Isaac, my OC with the most lore and worldbuilding around him (but not much art yet). He’s a red panda, he was born in 1804 in Tibet, died in an accident as a young man, and was resurrected by his parents, a pair of powerful necromancers. Isaac is the only known case of full, complete resurrection in history, even Jesus (who historically lived and was resurrected in this universe) was only brought back for several days and in dubious physicality. Isaac was fully resurrected.
Magic in this universe also comes with “riders”, random side effects that correlate roughly in severity to the magic being performed. Usually it’s not a big deal, sometimes you cast fireball and a dove flies out of the flames for some reason. But resurrection is on another level of power, one of the highest levels, and in Isaac’s case, the rider that came attached with his resurrection was immortality. The odds of this are astronomical, which is why he’s the only case of immortality in his universe, ever.
Since his accident and resurrection in the early 1800’s, Isaac has bounced around the world essentially following his passions; fighting in wars he thinks need fought, protesting wars he thinks are pointless, seeking out the hidden magical communities around the world to unravel the secrets of his creation, and prevent the creation of any more beings like himself.
He fought in the First World War, starting in the African Theatre helping local rebellions against Germany, and was praised by his English comrades as a dead shot sniper. He went to the eastern front, where he met bolsheviks, read Marxist theory, and decided to join the brewing Russian Civil War. After the establishment of the Soviet Union, he got a position in the NKVD, and eventually his own special branch, the secret Paranormal Affairs division, which allowed him to seek out and “neutralize” supernatural threats to the Soviet Union, and to study paranormal and magical happenings and artifacts to his heart’s content. Isaac detested Stalin (and had several plans to assassinate him, but never carried them out) but used his paranoia and superstitious nature to get more funding for his research.
When Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed, Isaac declared the Soviet project dead in his heart, and began using his position in the NKVD to weaken Stalin’s police state as much as possible, and keep tabs on the Nazis. Isaac learned of the Final Solution in its early stages, but Stalin ignored his letters, so he went and fought on the ground on the eastern front instead.
After WWII, he went back to the Soviet Union, trying to mitigate the damage Stalin could do, tying up loose ends in the NKVD before it would become the KGB. The anti-colonialist and socialist rhetoric of Ho Chi Minh led him to Vietnam, where he fought in the Vietcong (not the Vietminh) primarily as a sniper. But when the firebombing campaign began, the compounding traumas of war drove him slightly insane.
He left Vietnam, took a job on a cargo ship from the Philippines to South America, and began working his way north toward the US, unsure of what he was going to do, but mired in nightmares and hallucinations of the firebombings. He’s stopped in Mexico by an empath, an indigenous healer who senses his rage and trauma, and guides him on several mushroom and peyote trips, which reveal to him the true nature of his existence, the permanence of his being, the power that grants him, and the fragility of his mind.
So for a while he spends his time having fun, through the late 60’s to the late 80’s, and his idea of fun is fast boats and cars, lots of drugs, and getting shot at. He begins hoarding wealth for his perpetual retirement, mostly by designing and selling submachine guns to the drug cartels (and socialist revolutionaries! He didn’t forget!) and smuggling high value items between Colombia, the US, and Cuba.
In the 90’s he begins buying up real estate around the world, and on 7 carefully selected plots of land, he builds his Compounds: places where he can safely store magical artifacts, which he’s been accumulating over the years; places where he can relax, disconnect himself from the world (all 7 are in remote locations); places where he can meditate, do drugs, work on his projects.
And that’s his history up to now, basically.

Prompting a Ghost prompt! Copia gets a tattoo!!
Ok so my phone literally forced an update as I was in the middle of this so. Fuck samsung
Ok copias (first) tattoo
Copia sat stock-still in the squeaky leather chair, left arm propped up on the table that moments ago he had nervously watched a sibling of sin, and one of the abbeys resident tattoo artists, clean with a sanitizing solution. It smelled of chemicals, and he wrinkled his nose.
"Papa," the artist soothed as they squirted ink into the little plastic cups on a metal tray, "it's a lot easier for both of us if you're relaxed."
There was a moment of realization, and copia eased his hand from its white-knuckled grip on the table.
"I am relaxed! I am perfectly calm. Why would I not be calm?"
His indignant tone made the artist stifle a laugh with a gloved hand as they sat down next to his shoulder.
"Of course, papa."
In an act of devotion, or perhaps rebellion, copia, newly anointed as papa emeritus the fourth, had decided to get a tattoo.
He wouldn't have been the first papa to sport some ink; nihil had gotten his fair share in the 60s, Terzo was known to flaunt his artistic pin-up pieces in the summer, and it was whispered that secondo had a few risqué pieces only a small few lucky siblings ever got to see. And given the abbeys proclivity for freedom and creativity they attracted their fair share of tattoo artists, piercers, and those interested in other forms of body modification. This was not new territory.
In theory.
Copia himself had never been under the needle before, so to speak. And he certainly wasn't afraid of needles, that's ridiculous, he was the leader of a whole satanic church for hells sake! He had drawn blood during rituals, seen and done all sorts of things that would make anyone off the street faint, so for you, reader, to assume he was *afraid* of something as small as a *needle* is absolutely-
The buzz of the machine coming to life as the artist stepped on the foot pedal made him jump, and they raised an eyebrow. Copia could feel a thin sheen of sweat form on his paintless brow, but he kept a straight face.
"Are you ready to begin?"
Copia nodded. The buzzing began again, this time while the artist gripped his arm. He clenched, and it began

It took a couple hours. But wasn't actually that bad. The artist gave him a 15 minute break in the middle, gave him a snack and juice box when he complained of lightheadedness (which was really quite endearing, seeing him sitting there. If they took a picture on their phone for the abbey group chat, well, who could blame them), but all in all, it was quite an easy job when copia had gotten used to the feeling of the needle.
The shading was the hardest part, a barage of points going into his dermis, and he found himself clenching again. The artist didn't have the heart to scold him, knowing it was the least pleasant part of the process.
But when the machine stopped buzzing, and the artist gently cleaned his new ink and applied some balm, copia beamed with pride.
"I cannot wait to show the ghouls! They will think it makes me look tough, si?"
The artist stifled another laugh, ushering him out of the chair to tidy their station.
"Yes, papa. Very tough indeed."
