Somethin about Devotion burgies

OKAY SO i've seen a lot of people talking about the headcanon that inspekta doesn't finish the devotion burgies right, i thought that was a really interesting observation and wanted to see more! since Inspektas desk changes every chapter i figure theres probably a timeline of things to get an idea of if he is actually finishing them or not so i went through each segment and heres what i found

SPOILERS INCOMING!

GROVE COVE/BEGINNING OF MILLDREAD: Burgie fully in-tact, food untouched save for some fries (same bestie)

END OF MILLDREAD/BEGINNING OF HOBBYHOO: Burger partially eaten, buns are gone and most of the fries are too. Only thing left is the meat and tomatoes.

BEGINNING OF BUZZHUZZ: All the food is gone, including the meat and Inspekta is doing his silly burger song, same place ya get the 'Being a god is uh tasty affair!' line from, so in my mind its implied hes actively eating in this scene before you interrupt him?

END OF BUZZHUZZ/BEGINNING OF SPIRE: 4 new burgies, only thing touched is the fries. also worth noting this is the first time the medical tape asset is used but thats not the point of this particular post.

OKAY So in my mind this particular sequence of events moreso implies Inspekta is in fact eating the burgies, just that hes doing so in parts and rather slowly. Delving back into headcanon territory for the moment, i also tend to do this as a neurodivergent person but usually for the sake of eating the best part last.

So if following that logic, uh, yea. I think you know where that train of thought is headed.

I mean, wouldn't a cut of flesh from your most loyal followers heart and made into a meal be a divine flavor to a god? much to think about.

Am I Okay? Chapter Three

a/n: hi again! if you havent guessed already this chapter is going to include the gala i mentioned in part twelve! (which is linked) now as author im going to state clearly that this is not their first date 'canonically', however, its what i MYSELF consider their first date. <3

this shouldnt feel as daunting as it does right now. shes just a friend. its just a dinner party, theres no commitments attached or technicalities to worry over.

The good news is you will become proud and content as a lesbian with or without any partner. It can take time and work but you can get there. Your sexuality is not contingent on the affirmation of anyone else. Only yourself.

I can't imagine what it is like to be in a country where your sexuality endangers you both socially and due to the laws or traditions. I mean, i came out to a USA that was pretty hostile but I had the support of friends and family to some extent. I was free to protest and have conversations with the opposing side which is more that many countries allow lesbians to do.

The ending of a long distance relationship has its unique challenges, especially if you never met in person. The time that was filled with texts or video chat seems very odd and quiet leaving you checking your phone or computer out of shear habit. You were available to each other 24/7 as opposed to relationships in the same physical area where you met up and had mostly set times to date or spend time. Texting was a side bar to set up dates and only one mode of communication and not the sole contact. It will feel strange as you reset your schedule to be all yours with no need to look for and respond the a partner. It some ways lonely and in some ways freeing.

Getting over any relationship that was meaningful just takes time and work. My advice is to be sad and let yourself feel all the emotions from anger to angst but don't let it go on and on just because you are not sure what is next. Start to list things you don't miss about her. Make notes as you move through your day about things you are now free to think about and change in your life, in the direction of your life.

Don't date right away. Don't even try. Use your time and energy to pursue existing friendships or relationships with relatives or people you have not spoken to in a while. Write letters.

Rest assured that feeling that overwhelming sensation that your relationship was your one and only shot at love a shared Lesbian experience. Lesbian isolation and loneliness is a very real feeling but the reality is it is not true. You have a while life and and whole world of women to meet WHEN you are ready. It's genuinely so upsetting to see people say Mephone's story is done. No, no. It's Not. It's OK to not like Mephone or his story, but to say it's over is. Silly. He literally just got a new start, we've seen his trauma, we've seen him try and change, and we've seen him loose fucking everything and get incredibly close to death again-- Now it is time to see him heal. His story is not over just because his trauma is????

Mephones narrative is incredibly important as it showcases how irrationally and cruelly trauma can make people act and how people, when hurt, often end up hurting other people. Mephone isn't a perfect victim, and that's GOOD!!! It's such a good perspective to show!!!! Because people in that position don't often get that visibility. But showing how a victim of trauma who has acted cruelly and hurt others can heal and grow is equally as important as showing their struggle, and Mephone hasn't really gotten that yet?

I've also seen a few people complain that Mephone shouldn't get to see the contestants ever again, and I think that's a bit far. He was genuinely friends with a lot of the season 3 contestants like I totally see most of the season 2 contestants not wanting to see him AND THATS TOTALLY VALID, but ??? Mephone wasn't horrible at Every Second of the Day and I feel like a lot of people took the ending of him leaving to mean the contestants hate him, when pickle literally says he forgives him. They SHOULD stay away from each other for awhile, but that doesn't mean Mephone has to give up the genuine friendships he made with Bot, Floory, or some of the others. You know?

Granted, this is all the ramblings of someone whose favourite characters are Meeplers, and Mephone4 happens to one of those. And I'm also someone who deeply cares for his narrative, and wants to see him and 3GS be okay and heal. personally I'm pretty comfortable being politically homeless. In a general sense I'm a Democrat but that really only describes any at least semi-serious person anywhere on the left of center of American politics. I personally believe in American leadership in the world, are we perfect? nope, but history shows us that one country is usually the lead, the agenda setter, the tone setter, the Primus inter pares, etc and if I have to pick between us and the other countries who want to be setting the agenda, what China? the techno-totalitarian state? Russia? thats literally waging a war of genocide as we speak? no thanks I'll take the flawed USA over those two any day. But I'm also progressive, I don't believe in a "little" interference by the state in abortion or trans healthcare I think people should be left alone to make their medical choices with their doctors. I believe in a role for the state in the economy, I believe in strong climate action (thus why American leadership in the world, China and Russia don't want to do shit on climate change) and that more immigration is a good thing.

and honestly I'm okay not fitting neatly into one camp with set answers for all our policy questions. We live in an age where aren't thinking, at all, much less for themselves, everyone spits out slogans with no meat behind them "Make American Great Again" wtf does that mean? "Green New Deal" huh? "Defund The Police" but we don't really mean defund we mean complex explanation followed by someone yelling "yes we do, abolish the cops!" "Free Palestine" "DOGE" "Make America Healthy Again" "raw milk!" "no cops at pride" we're all just yelling CRAP! and no one has any thoughts much less answers. So I'm not worried about fitting into a home, and having like minded people, if I agree with people 100% on everything political, I'm gonna start to get worried. Any political movement has to be big tent, has to involve people who don't agree on everything, doesn't mean you give up on what you believe in, you fight for it in the tent, and sometimes you lose and you sit it out because you don't get anywhere taking your toys and going home, you just keep fighting till you get what you want.

okay so basically lewis and wilbur are friends. lewis is wilbur’s dad—referred to as cornelius when hes an adult in the future. wilbur time travelled and met his lewis when they were the same age. the movie is about uhh science bullshit lewis learns to believe in himself and finds out he has a family in the future (even though hes currently an orphan) and to never give up. blah blah standard family affair.

anyway in the incest fic lewis and wilbur are soulmates. cornelius knows this and lewis knows this—wilbur does not. you discover your soulmate by the first words they say to you. the first words that cornelius said to wilbur was when he was born. “i’ve waited so long to meet you.” lol. crazy.

when lewis first finds out in the fic that his soulmate is in fact also his son he starts crying hes devastated and no one but cornelius knows why and he reveals it to the family.

of course cornelius also has a wife who gave birth to wilbur. thats franny! shes actually my favorite character of the whole thing bc she is relentlessly tragic. for years she and cornelius lived a happy married life. she was born without a soulmate, and cornelius always told her that he “could never be with” his soulmate without revealing to him why. surprise! your husbands soulmate is your son!

anyway it’s sort of relentlessly miserable her pov chapters are the best bc now she’s in a failing marriage and she still has to fucking parent her son obviously and overall it’s a fantastic fic it’s crazy some of the most fucked up family dynamics of all time. thinking about it again i mean it hasnt updated in a year but i think i’ll reread it..

hmmm you made me think a bit more about how he would cut his arm off and uhh.. how about a train? that way arthur could even get medical treatment! sure, if he wouldnt make it seem like it was an accident a lot of people would think that hes out of his mind but either way hes still getting it (the treatment, i mean. and, well, getting his arm cut off, that too)! haha. i can even hear john screaming at arthur throughout the whole thing, something along the lines of: "ARTHUR WHAT THE FUCK" oh, and that way john could get his name too (bc i doubt that john would help arthur get to the nearest town after his stomach gets slashed in this universe)! imagine arthur getting into some town thats near the train tracks, cutting off his arm while still being anonymous to everyone, getting taken to the hospital and referred to as "john doe". and after all of this john starts this monologue about how he wants to be called "john" and arthur is like "...okay? not calling you that you freak" but after some time he slowly makes efforts to humanize the voice in his head, which deepens their bond. ah.

but on a more serious note Acacius starting to see them as more human and less as cruel tyrants when they've been broken down and then starting to explore how far the damage has gone and what there is to salvage in them is such a good beautiful delicious concept
