“Sweetheart”
Tumblr media
This is pt 2 to my last story “Don’t Call me Kid”!! Read that first so this’ll make sense! ♡
Summary: After Kendall’s birthday, your relationship with Roman seemed beyond repair. Until he comes into your office to talk about Caroline’s wedding. (3x08)
Content: Established relationship, f!reader, insecurity, repressing emotions, bit of angst, implied body image issues, mention of age gap, dom/sub relationship dynamics, fluff?, roman hating himself
It’s been almost a week since Ken's birthday, and you've been doing your best to avoid Roman Roy. I mean, you work with him since he’s technically your boss. Luckily, you have your own office, helping you isolate until he apologizes, which he hasn’t yet. He hated talking about his feelings. But, he hated your absence more. Before all this, Roman had invited you to Caroline's second wedding as a plus-one. The thought of having to brush off Roman's actions and show up as his date made your stomach knot.
But the wedding was in two days, meaning the flight was later today. The miscommunication between you two made it unclear if you were still going. While wrapping up an email, you heard a patterned knock at your door. To no surprise, you saw Roman through the glass with his head hanging low. Great. You slightly rolled your eyes as you signaled him to enter. This will be swell.
He shuffled to the couch, indirectly facing you. He seemed anxious. You took notice of his abnormal behavior the past week, being less involved in conferences and more in his head. Like someone turned off his neuro receptors. He started picking at his nail beds, refusing eye contact with you. Again.
You scooted your chair, making him clear in your eye line, “So, what’s up?” acting oblivious. Of course, you knew why he was there. You both did. But perhaps he could dumb it down because 'you’re so young.'
He cleared his throat, scratching the back of his head “ I was just, uh, checking in. Like seeing if you were going to Italy still? You know, with me? Like is that still a thing?” On the last question, he eventually met your gaze. His delicate eyes made you empathetic. You can't shun him out completely? He needs to apologize. He needs to apologize.
Cocking your neck, “I don’t know ‘sweetheart.’ I might try to fix you with my terrible, aching savior complex because ‘I’m just so young and naive.’” Using his own words against him. Making it evident you were not over that night.
Roman shuddered at your response, darting a remorseful expression your way. You didn’t like fighting with him, and the last thing you wanted to do was argue. But you couldn’t let him get away with this. “Y-yea, whatever y/n, I’m a piece of shit. Okay? Fuck, is that what you want me to say?” He stood, throwing his hands up, peering down at you.
You scoffed, “Yea, whatever Roman, you’ve answered your question,” you fixed your attention back to the computer until Roman angled the screen towards the window, forcing you to stare at him.
“No, c’mon y/n. Fuck,” fighting with himself, if he could be vulnerable. “I just, don’t want to fight anymore. I mean c-c’mon. F-fine I’m sorry, there. Y/n, I'm serious. I am sorry. P-Please.”
Reconciliation isn't recurring between you two, especially when he’s begging for your forgiveness. His puppy dog expression helped his apology, “Okay. Thank you for apologizing. I just, I think I need some space. Maybe I'll fly separately,” you attempted to put on a sincere smile. Trying to ease the blow, hoping this doesn’t cause his insecurity to run rampant. You weren’t rejecting the invite, but you worried how Roman would react.
His face dropped a bit, not completely satisfied with your response, “Okay, I, uh, I guess I’ll see you there then.” He thumped on the top of the door frame as he left your office. Shit. Is he disappointed?
You flew in with the rest of the staff. Gerri kept you company, talking strategy about GoJo. Your flight arrived first, beating Roman to the shared room in the Villa. It was beautiful. You threw yourself onto the massive mattress, allowing your brain to rest for the first time since the party. You could’ve fallen asleep; until you heard a gentle knock at the door, followed by an entrance.
“I can see you had a lovely flight,” you turned your head to see Roman shutting the door behind him. A faint smile appeared on your face. “C’mon, we need to walk down for welcome drinks and see this, Peter Onion motherfucker,” having a slight smile, he stepped to the edge of the bed, holding his hand out for you to latch onto.
You pull yourself up while fixing your hair. You two were close, still holding hands, his other resting on your hip. He scanned your body, “You look fucking hot y/n, but maybe less ‘I want to fuck my boss’ and more ‘I'm meeting my boss's mom.’” You smirked at his comment, pulling away to get your bags left outside the door.
The two of you faced away from each other and started to change, “You know, I like spending time with you Rome,” turning your head to meet his gaze. You didn’t want to say love. Worried he’d freak out at the phrase.
He adjusted his shirt, smiling to himself, “Yea, I like spending time with you too.”

There's something so deeply irrational about how people will simply choose to substitute their own falsehoods as truth when confronted with a reality even mildly inconvenient to them.
I was scrolling through the flowerfell tag (in part because Kazefiend mentioned that more people were posting in the tag about how they didn't like Frans). Of course I did nothing more than block them, because I simply can't be bothered to go after random people on the internet, and keep scrolling through the tag. Yet, as I kept going, it was surprising to see more and more people talk like this.
Now I don't need to explain why tagging your ship hate as the ship you're hating on is a dumb idea. If you're lucky, you just get blocked by a bunch of people who understand harassment is not okay and not worth it. If you're unlucky you get dogpiled. There is no winning here. But this is slightly different, so I wanted to talk about it.
The pattern I noticed here was that these posts seem to accept that Flowerfell is a frans au, but either choose to actively ignore the shipping aspects of the au (a tough ask when said ship's relationship is one of the defining pieces of the au's narrative), deride the au for having the ship (oh my god mind your own business. Don't like don't read, have you forgotten your basic fandom etiquette?) or act like it was never a frans au, which is perhaps the worst of them all. But I'm not here to talk about the last one. No, I'm here to deal with the second option.
Choosing to deride or despise a work simply for its main ship is dumb for a whole lot of reasons. Firstly, you lose out on the joy of experiencing great works residing outside your current taste, for example: I was never a Charisk fan (until recently) and have a faint distaste for Soriel (due to how much I see it and due to how often it's compared to Frans), but if you asked me my opinions on, say, the Fading Away comic or Reapertale, I would tell you I love them both. The Fading Away comic is so sweet and wholesome, and I adored it even though at the time my involvement with the ship was 'a ship that one friend of mine likes', and I don't even need to explain why Reapertale is so damn cool.
At the end of the day, though, you do not need to force yourself to read things outside your comfort zone. It is your choice, and I ain't forcing you. But here comes fandom etiquette once more: "Don't like, Don't read." There is no point to subjecting yourself to something you don't want to read. If you don't like frans, don't read it. Simple.
Yet, that isn't even the most important part. It's not the point I wrote this post to create. The real point I want to convey is simple: If you refuse to acknowledge a part of the work so foundational to its identity, narrative and meaning, you are failing so disastrously to truly engage with and understand the story. It's like playing Undertale and choosing to ignore the fact that the pacifist route exists. Even in stories focused on the Genocide route, if the author chose to act like said route was the only possible option for whoever was in control, then it would go directly against the in-game portrayal of the route as a choice the player made despite the game's attempts to deny you the route.
If you go through Flowerfell ignoring the relationship between Sans and Frisk, or worse, changing it to fit your convenience, you end up with a dramatically skewed perspective on the work. Sans is an utter shithead to Frisk when they first meet, something he ultimately regrets, and their eventual reconciliation and their growing romantic relationship is important to the story. You can wish they weren't shipped together, sure, but to deny it is simply to deny reality and to deny yourself a complete, accurate reading of the story.
Don't even get me started on how absurd the hate for aged up ships is. But that isn't the point of the post. I've said my piece, and I'm just gonna keep blocking anyone being stupid in the flowerfell tag. Back to scrolling, and perhaps crying to Secret Garden at 3am.

That last anon - I think Rick as a character is geared to care for Beth platonically as a Greene and as his own 'family'. He was very close to Hershel and felt guilt over everything that happened to Beth etc.
That saying... Andrew Lincoln altered his scenes with Em unconsciously with this weird attraction thing he has like that season 3 scene NARGH. It was meant to be sweet and innocent and he's eyefucking her. That is on Andrew 💯 He should have kept any feelings off screen and to himself. It shouldn't affect scenes and alter the interaction. Em is a pro and played her role as it should be.
I have to be clear Rick's emotional direction and Andrew's do not align. I'm pretty sure if the crush scene was implemented then he would have pushed for it to change direction and become requited. But again that's on Andrew. Anyone else playing Rick would have had a totally different take on their relationship and played it as it should.
I am not getting into the age thing or anything via this because where I am, 16 is an adult. I just feel very strongly that it was Daryl who caught feelings for Beth season 4 prison era, possibly as jealousy at first because of Zac getting with Beth. Then it went full rein. But Beth seemed kind of oblivious until that moment in the kitchen but she seems kinda like wow, really, I mean so much to you? The idea seems entrancing. But I am really strong that Rick never seen Beth as anything but Hershel's daughter and as a member of his family. It was platonic and Andrew totally fucked that up with his weird feelings. He's trying to play oh Rick would be against Beth's crush but then Andy comes through and just ARGH. Rick and Beth are platonic, family. Daryl and Beth were on their way to being more.
I'm not hating on you for thinking Rick would be after Beth that way if that's your take. I just think there is a genuine distinction between the characters original arc which was platonic and Andrew just totally setting fire to it. I know people ship them but if we are going to be pedantic, there is nothing romantic in his relationship to Beth. Anything there is all down to Andrew.
I also say yeah, he is hugely attracted to Danai. I know Richonners say he was drawn to Michonne from the moment he seen her and he was checking her out in the prison when he restrained her. No. That was all Andrew again. Rick was driven mad by losing Lori like a couple of days before. He was grieving her and the loss drove him insane. He's not going to be looking at another woman. I know his marriage was over etc but he said he thought he could hold on and keep them safe etc, that he still loves her and just before Lori died, there was hints of a reconciliation. So the way Rick was looking at Michonne all the way through those first scenes is NOT Rick, that is Andrew fucking up those scenes because he's thinking with his dick again.
I have to laugh cause I agree, I think that Andy doesn't always know how to stay in character and he bleeds through into Rick affecting how Rick acts.
When I write and if Ricks is involved he is purely as a father figure , he loves Beth purely as a father loves his daughter.
But your right that I watch how Rick gives the smolder at whomever female he's in contact with and it's like Mmmm maybe ??
But then I have to remember that's Andrew not keeping himself in check.
Norman Reedus can eat peanut butter even if HE hates it, the scene of him escaping the Saviors calls for Daryl Dixon eating peanut butter so he eats it.
Similarly, Andrew....
I agree I definitely see Daryl being jealous, not understanding his feelings but there's definitely jealousy when he sees Zac, @twdmusicboxmystery said I think that he's postering at Zac when he is guessing Daryls past , Daryl gives him this made up story about him being a undercover ans it sounds very cool and tough and a bit showy which Daryl isn't... Except when he's bumping chests with someone he perceived as competition

Hi! I'm the crush-since-2014 and hickey/straw anon. In all seriousness, I've realised I'm incredibly embarrassed about crushing on Rocket (sexually as well) because of the whole raccoon thing. I had crushes on a couple of anthropomorphic characters when I was younger, but the fact that Rocket was originally an *actual* raccoon rather than an anthro/extraterrestrial is where it feels I'm crossing some line. I'm worried people will laugh at me, or find me weird or disgusting. Just wondering how you "reconciled" with his being a raccoon like you mentioned? Is there any way I can feel less weird about this?
Anyway! You're an incredibly talented writer and I hope you're having a good day 😊
First of all, you are very very sweet and I want you to know that.
I don’t have all the answers and what works for me may not work for you, but I’m happy to share what I can.
I’m a pretty private person irl, and I know my audiences. If a person isn’t someone with whom I would normally share my sexual fantasies, then I’m definitely not telling them “I wanna fuck that raccoon.” It’s none of their business and it doesn’t matter. (Of course a lot of people know I find Rocket’s story to be one of the most emotionally resonant, compelling, and well-crafted narratives in recent pop-culture memory, and even more know gotg3 is my fave movie of the year and maybe ever.) I think this is one of the great things about online communities tbh.
As far as my own internal monologue and coming to terms with it for myself, I found the Harkness Test (based on Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who, a prestigious alien-fucker) was really helpful for me.
It also helps me personally to acknowledge that I’m attracted to Rocket, not to the average raccoon on my neighbor’s garage roof. Philosophers have spent actual millennia trying to figure out it means to be a person, and by all accounts except biological, Rocket seems to be a person. Even biological identity may be questionable at this point since he’s been a victim of alteration right down to his DNA.
Maybe this is a lot of mental gymnastics other people don’t have to do when crushing on imaginary sentient gunsmiths with tails. But I think part of the battle is figuring out why it squicks you out, and if those things are really important in terms of fictional characters. (Sometimes they are, and sometimes they aren’t. If supporting a certain kind of smut perpetuates harm against real-world people, for instance, I’d avoid it. And in general I’d say if it involves real living creatures and it squicks you out, it’s probably better to avoid than justify.)
I hope that helps but more than anything, please know you’re not alone. Look at all these amazing fuckin creators out here, writing and drawing and dreaming up amazing fantasies (some smutty! some fluffy! some not!). They get the attraction! And a lot of people have been on similar journeys of reconciliation too. You are in good company. ♡♡♡

https://www.tumblr.com/alarrytale/730100486269796353/no-i-think-the-whole-emrata-thing-was-to-stop-o// lol this made even less sense. she was still liking his post before the kiss happened clearly showing she didn’t have any ill will towards him like the media was claiming. there was literally nothing substantial coming from her to make him look like he did something bad to her and there still isn’t now. there was no need for him to control a narrative when there wasn’t even one in the first place. the media and his fans weren’t going to her side if she actually said he hurt her and he knows that. you guys are just in denial and try to convince yourselves that all of these women’s teams are running to the media every time so you can excuse his cornball behavior. You’re literally saying he messily made out with a friend of his “ex” (at least that’s the narrative that the media and harries run with) to go against the narrative that he hurt her? nobody was reading this ET article you linked. people outside of his fandom didn’t even care about their “relationship” in March. he kissed emrata bc he wanted attention. he went to the gym he knows olivia is always papped at a WEEK after the kiss bc he loves attention. that’s literally just it. then saying he showed the tattoo for people to think he “cared” like no he did it bc he knows he doesnt get attention outside of his fanbase unless it involves his “girlfriends”
Hi, again anon,
Yes, she did keep connecting herself to Harry after the break up. It got her press and sympathy. The media wasn't claiming any ill will from her side, just that she was hurt after the break up (heartbroken, but hoping for reconciliation). The hurt and heartbroken articles were syndicated. I just happened to pull one from ET. Also, the narrative wasn't directed at fans, it hardly never is, it's directed towards the gp. The gp reads ET or the daily mail.
No, emrata happened so he could show the world (gp) that holivia were definitly over and never getting back together. It would have been career suicide to stay connected to that sinking ship (O), so he did it to stop her from getting pr and controlling the media narrative. He needed to get attention on it to make the world understand. Hence another spectacle. I think you underestimate how much of a spectacle holiva was and how invested the gp still was even after they 'broke up'. With her trying to say she hoped they would get back together, the gp still followed that drama. She kept the door still open, and harry needed it firmly shut.
About the gym pics, either holivia had a promo deal with that gym and he still had deliverables to it, or he did it to show he didn’t have any ill will towards her (keeping to the amicable break up story). Showing they could still frequent the same places, while being broken up.
He did want attention on the O tattoo, that much is clear. But you and i just believe in different reasons why. Look, i'm not saying H doesn’t like attention on himself, i just think he doesn’t do it just for the sake of it. I see it as pushing a narrative and having an agenda, and you just see an attention seeking narcissist. We can agree to disagree.

Assuming it got the necessary episode numbers it needed, along with not being destroyed by disneys censors the way season 3's tone was(i will never understand why they let true colors air like it did, but then kill any plans the creators had to follow up on it), do you think Amphibia would have been better served by having the the story make all the subtext with Anne, Sasha and Marcy completely open from day one? Like it actually just came right out and told us Sasha was in love with Anne, Marcy was in love with Sasha and maybe Anne, and Anne clearly was interested in Sasha?
Have Anne's rejection of Sasha at the gatehouse also involve her confessing her that she had been in love with her all this time(Thus that Sasha's greatest desire had always been in reach at any point), but that they were completely, utterly DONE after her betrayal in the throne room.
That way you get all the delicious drama of Sasha's heart breaking into tiny, itty little pieces, while also her having to make the choice to stand against Anne anyway, and then setting up the two of them having to deal with the fallout in season 3(And again, this would need the actual episodes and care that actual season 3 didnt get), their reconciliation, and Sasha and Anne's mended relationship having the capstone of sasha telling Anne everything. Her backstory, the full deal with her parents, her revealing how she fell in love with her in the first place.
Lots of things to delve fully into before the two of them actually taking the final step, and giving an actual relationship a go.
Meanwhile, Marcy's entire storyline in season 2 leads up to her own confession, where she lays out her feelings for Anne and Sasha... Then gets rejected. Then have the trio still reeling from the aftermath of the rejected confession when true colors hits, and Anne and Sasha learn the truth... And Marcy's plan to have them spend the rest of their lives traveling the multiverse. Which puts the entire thing and all of marcy's actions in a completely different light, as she now comes across in large part as a stalker, someone who refuses to take no for an answer...
Then have Marcy's actual development, even inside her own skull during season 3, fully commit to this idea. That Marcy is a fully, all out terrible person who needs to learn to fully let go. Have her ultimately rejection of the fantasy sasha and anne be all about that, about realizing and coming to accept just how disgusting the entire thing is, that Anne and Sasha did not want her that way, and what a creep she's been refusing to accept it.
I'm sorry for my late reply, been very busy. I read the whole thing and I'll say it would be better if they would do things more openly from day one just the way you described. I also agree that it didn't make sense to force writers to tone things down after allowing the True Colors. They even show Marcy getting stabbed from another angle in Turning point but it would be wrong to show characters live normal emotions instead of going the " oh no! Anyway…" route. It didn't make a single sense. I'm not exactly sure if it was all Disney's limitations but Amphibia's writing was terrible in many ways, I don't even wanna talk about that nonsense ending.

A Response to a Feyre Anti
I made a post recently explaining the dread of having to watch Feyre be abused by her sisters and father, in the Tv adaption. And a Feyre anti made a response, to something that should not be criticized at all considering what I said was just the truth? Feyre was abused. Not only that but they went on and completely twisted the narrative to fit their own ideas and in the process made Feyre out to be cruel and Nesta a saint. complete bull.
I will not be tagging the anti bc they have me blocked (shocker), but also I do not want anyone to go after them, if you come across the post, I don't want it to be through me. it's as much respect I can give to them.
I usually do not respond to those who have something to say with a post of mine or are blatantly talking about me on their blog, unless they're just spreading absolute lies about me or what i "said", it's usually a waste of time to do so. but this post attacked Feyre with outrageous lies and a complete backward interpretation of what actually happened in acotar, so as respectful as I can be, I will be analyzing the anti-response and what truly happened in acotar.
"the audience will only see two sisters fighting-not abuse" "it’s not Nesta you need to worry about. It’s audiences calling Feyre a big dumbass and a bitch" -from anti
if the audience has basic human compassion and empathy for humans IRL or fictional, they will see what's obvious from the start. Feyres abuse. how is it going to look, when they see Feyre walking through the woods, shaking from the cold, starving from hunger, and struggling to find food for her family? only to later see Nesta's treatment of Feyre?"
Tumblr media
in the anti's post, they said Feyre was just as "heinous" to Nesta.
is Feyre the one calling Nesta a pig? a smelly pig? ordering her to take her clothes off?
no, it's not, it's dear Nesta. the text goes as "I took my time, swallowing the words I wanted to bark at her" oh yes... how cruel of Feyre. how heinous of Feyre to...stay quiet... at the verbal abuse.
in the same image we see Feyre ask Nesta to do something (kindly might I add) and then inquire why she didn't chop wood like she needs to.
what does Nesta do? acts like a brat and insults Feyre...once again.
considering I'm going off by the story and not the actual screenplay, and assuming they stay true to the story; will the audience not be disgusted by Nesta's behavior? I mean they just saw Feyre struggle to find food and they expect Feyre to go home to a family happy and appreciative of Feyre but instead, they get this familial abuse.
Tumblr media
the anti said Feyre basically tells Nesta this:
"If you keep bitching at everyone like this no one will want to be around you or you can’t marry this guy because you’re a waste of space to me"
but what do we see?
"Believe me... the day you want to marry someone worthy, I'll march up to his house and hand you over. But you're not going to marry Tomas."
the word worthy, did that not catch your eye? Feyre said Nesta will have to marry someone worthy, someone, who will treat Nesta kindly and give her the life Feyre thinks her sisters deserve. bc Feyre does think that IDK why anti feyres think Feyre despised Nesta so much, Feyre loved her sisters.
what the anti fails to realize here is that Nesta marrying Tomas would have been actually pretty great for Feyre. in the sense that, Feyre would no longer carry the burden of her sister. Feyre would not have to worry about feeding one more mouth. or worrying about Nesta's constant stealing of Feyre's money. Feyre does not think Nesta is a "waste of space" to her, if she did, it would have been easy for Feyre to discard Nesta, and allow her to marry Tomas. the anti has that twisted.
but that is not even the worst part of the scene. did you see the shameless slut-shaming that came out of Nesta's mouth? how will the audience take to that? do you think most of the younger generation will take it lightly to see a sister slut-shame a sister? a woman putting down another woman? in this social climate? where the feminism movement is alive and flourishing. will they be okay with it? will they still blame Feyre and be mad at her the way the anti says they will be? I hope not otherwise I'm losing faith in humanity.
Tumblr media
Lovely words Nesta spews at Feyre. I admit Feyre should have told her then and there that Tomas is abusive. but let's think: Feyre is 19 years old, the youngest, has never had any raising by a parental figure, has been neglected by her whole family, where would Feyre learn to calmly talk to an overgrown brat like Nesta? Feyre telling Nesta who Tomas truly is the duty of a parent, not a sister. I will not condemn Feyre for not knowing that was the perfect time to tell Nesta who Tomas is. especially when Feyre is being tormented and verbally/emotionally abused, its kinda hard to think about something else while you're being told all these horrible words. to us its easy to see where Feyre went wrong but unless you're in the exact position Feyre was in. no one has any room to talk. and even then, every person is different in situations like these.
this part was me analyzing the interactions between Feyre and Nesta since anti had reasons to believe Feyre was just as bad to Nesta and that the audience would see that and hate Feyre. I am now going to respond to the second part of the Feyre Anti's response.
"How will an audience of non-fans react to her not reaching out to her family to tell them she was okay after the reconciliation between her and Nesta? Or not inviting them to the wedding?"- from anti
moving onto acomaf now.
Idk maybe the audience will see Feyre, a depressed, lonely, individual in an abusive relationship while being manipulated by other individuals she called friends, and understand and empathize with her. all throughout the beginning and half of acomaf, Feyre is in critical depression. she wholeheartedly believes she should not be alive. that she is not worthy. she doesn't eat, all she does is sleep, self-care is not important to her or others so why would letting a family know she's okay, a family who BARELY ever cared about her, be a priority? it doesn't seem like Nesta or elain or her father was really fazed by Feyre's lack of communication. her father left on a trip, elain got engaged and Nesta, well we didn't see a tearful welcoming to Feyre on Nesta's part did we?
anti, where is the outcry of her "family" not even really caring if Feyre was safe or not, of what happened to her? it's not like they thought she had died, otherwise, where was the mourning or funeral? no, they just didn't care.
see this is where I know when anti is just full of bullshit. why, WHY, would Feyre invite her family to wedding full of fae? the creatures elain and Nesta fear and hate? for all the talk many anti's spew about Feyre being inconsiderate to Nesta, to her family, you would think Feyre maybe just knows a fae wedding would be the last thing they would want? even then, does Feyre owe them an invitation to her wedding? does she owe them an update on her life? nope. Feyre owed them nothing.
"How about her shit-talking Nesta to a bunch of strangers then having the audacity to ask her to get involved in a war. Oh! This is after she comes into her house and insults their hospitality." - from anti
I hardly think Feyre confiding in individuals who she learned to care about and laying out all the trauma Feyre endured with her family is "shit-talking" but for argument's sake, let's say it is. I still don't see what's wrong? after years of pent-up anger and hurt, would you not let go of everything you withheld inside and explain what was done to you? how you felt? Feyre telling the IC her life story, which contains Nesta's abuse and her family's neglect, was a form of therapy for Feyre. I never read a line where Feyre calls Nesta a "cold-hearted bitch" or called elain "a lazy ditz" she just said the truth. no added embellishments. Cassian was the one who shit-talked Nesta during the dinner scene, never Feyre.
I still don't understand why antis are so against Feyre asking her sisters for help? like the war didn't involve them? they're humans, and you know what the war was about? Hybern wanting to take control of the human lands like they once did and turn them into slaves. those humans included Nesta and elain.
"They could have left the continent" correct, except elain was engaged and refused to leave Grayson. which meant Nesta refused to leave elain. but even so, isn't it the duty of humans to band together and work to overthrow a race of people who want to torture and keep them as slaves? the queens certainly weren't doing their jobs. Feyre asked to use "their" house to meet the queens bc where else would they do it? the queens trust the fae less than Nesta or elain did. but even so, Feyre asking to use their house was a courtesy, that house is rightfully Feyre's. she is the one who sacrificed herself to leave with Tamlin. she did it bravely, courageously, and they got that house thanks to her. they owed Feyre everything. and the only one who acknowledged that was Elain.
that war involved elain and Nesta whether they or Feyre or the anti's liked it or not. not even considering that Nesta and elain are Feyre Archerons sisters, yeah, their family name alone puts a target on their back.
How did Feyre or the court insult Elain's and Nesta's hospitality? You mean when Feyre realized human food differed from fae food? something she did not know about bc she's barely been turned to fae and only had eaten fae dishes? Feyre's grimace towards the human food was an involuntary reaction to someone who is still learning their new body. or was it when Cassian called out Nesta for her cold treatment towards Feyre? if that's the case then fuck decency, I would call out a fake bitch in my presence from minute one. you cant call what Nesta did "hospitality" when all she did was insult Feyre when she didn't even care that Feyre had died, or lost her love bc of abuse, or that her body was changed against her will.
hospitality: the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.
did y'all read something different bc this for sure was nothing Nesta gave to her guests?

the rest of the anti post moves towards Rhysand and his actions UTM which I won't go into because I'm mainly just addressing the false interpretations this anti had to say about Feyre and her family.
I'm not sure how to sign off now lol, but I guess just that I hope this was enough to show how this anti's arguments were completely ludicrous and have absolutely no compassion for Feyre, and instead all the compassion for Feyre's abusers. This anti had a real spin on what the actual story was, and I hope the evidence I provided was enough to show that. Anyways yeah my brain is fried, and I'm done arguing with Feyre anti's for a while now, I need to go praise my queen Feyre so I can receive some semblance of peace.
anyways, stan Feyre for clear skin xx

HEY CARMEN AND JULIA STANS MAKE SOME MORE NOISE
sooo duane asked if we had any more questions and we submitted some! here are his responses!
1) julia (from our server) wants to know if the interactive timeline is canon?
Hi again! 1) happy to answer for everyone. I don't consider it "canon" as far as our continuity/timeline go (though please don't misconstrue that as a negative -- I love the IA special, it's so much fun! But we approached it as a "what if" type episode, so we could take full advantage of the format and do fantasy sequences, musical numbers etc...)
1, continued: Here is my reasoning. a) with the various forks, there's no way any one thread could be canon -- how would we know? b) we did Vile "brain wiping" here in the style of fun horror movie endings; we of course revisited the idea more dramatically at end of S4. c) note that Shadowsan & Chase are absent from the storyline! We were producing the IA special parallel with S2, and had no idea whether Netflix would premiere it between S1 & S2, or after S2. SS & Chase are the two characters who had major spoilers attached (SS from bad to good; Chase unconscious in the hospital). So we removed them to avoid any timeline bumps in the event Netflix chose to premiere it after S1. In retrospect, it would have been fun to add SS & Chase to the Rockapella song, but since they weren't in the story earlier it seemed odd. We went back and forth on that. One down, 4 to go!
2) in general- does carmen ever find out that julia is the one who found her mother? julia played such a large part in helping to resolve carmen’s story, so we wanted to know if carmen knew that she did that for her?
great observation! I absolutely think Carmen knows: it's suggested in the hospital scene that Chief is in touch with Carmen ("shall I pass along your info?"). To have explained that Carmen knows Gray's okay, or that Julia is the one who found her mother, would have been great; but a) would have slowed the pace of our multiple epilogues so we figured the audience knows both those things so can construe that Carmen does (or will eventually ;-). b) except for the Pilot, we were limited to 22 minutes per episode precisely. We made the exception for the finale which is 2 minutes longer to get everything in. It's a balancing act to keep things tight but also let moments breathe. I'm sure you'll agree that we pack a LOT into each episode! There wasn't room for more in 408, but also I think it would have dragged the pacing to add more talk to the wrap up scenes.
3) nina wants to make carmen fanart stickers and put them on redbubble- is there a copyright policy against that? is she allowed to do so?
Hi Nina! I am not sure about that, it's outside my area: I can ask the "powers that be" if you would like? But be forewarned they may just say no because it's less complicated that way. My own common sense tells me that if you were making stickers of our copyrighted images from the show, that would be a problem. But stickers of your own art maybe not? But I really can't answer with certainty.
4) how did carmen end up trusting julia again after stockholm? the look of betrayal at the end kind of made it seem that it would take some reconciliation, but carmen seemed fine in season 3. we all have our own theories, but do you have any opinions on it?
reading this question scared me and I had to check the episode again! Phew. Carmen feeling betrayed by Julia was not the intention here at the end (in the beginning when ACME storms in, of course) -- but I think Carmen's been through too much to hold this against Julia. Carmen DOES shoot Chief some very poisonous glares through this sequence, but when she finally looks at Julia I think she's just weak. The pained look on J's face is so heartbreaking! But now that you point this out, it might have been a good idea to end the scene on Carmen softening toward J or simply looking vulnerable, rather than on J's heartbreak. I do think J is just feeling horrible seeing her hero in such a fallen state, rather than reacting to Carmen's glare. I think this moment is such a big reason why J resigns in S3: she can't bear to do something like this to Carmen again.
5) you mentioned something about julia being captivated (?) by carmen as well, but it kept cutting out so all we caught was the word “captivated” 🤣 do you mind expanding on that?
I think I noted that Julia was clearly captivated by Carmen -- on the train of course, as their conversation continues. Though really I think J's just happy to be talking to someone who takes an interest in history and culture unlike Chase (though ironically Carmen is of course kind of "using" Julia here to scout for Paperstar -- a lot of layers LOL, but this is the beginning of J and Carmen working together without literally working together. Which to me makes them super-connected and relating on heightened intuition). But then I also said that Julia was clearly captivated by Carmen the very first time she saw her hang-gliding away in Poitiers ;-)
final message:
Thanks for all the thoughtful questions and again, for being so engaged and passionate about our show! I love these characters as much as you do and hope we get the opportunity to expand Carmen's world and continue the ongoing story of everyone involved. But if we don't, I think it's a perfect series as is, that will stand the test of time. Fingers crossed and keep putting positive vibes out there. I am not privy to how large our fan base is, but it's clearly passionate so hopefully the powers that be will continue to notice. Have a good weekend, everyone!

Honestly the recent lore stream with Technoblade and Tubbo and co also disappointed me because like
Why Should I Care
Maybe this was satisfying for people who care about a pig npc we barely ever see on stream but like not for me
I don't care about Michael like At All I expected that I was gonna care about Michael through c!Tubbo and c!Techno
Frankly I expected to see them actually bond and grow to understand each other through their shared love of Ranboo and desire to get Michael back
I expected more then just one stream about this showing their process showing the beginning of their relationship to the end where they reconcile or find they Can't get along or whatever they decided on
I thought I'd be given a Reason to care about Michael and their quest to find him and their reconciliation but No
Instead I got a 5 minute long reconciliation like 10 minutes in where Suddenly c!Tubbo has the balls to call c!Techno out on All his crimes against him but supposedly not Enough balls to withhold forgiveness until he also apologizes to c!Tommy
Go Figure /s
But like c!Techno didn't even apologize for Everything he did to Tubbo either
And you may say "baby steps!" but he literally also pushed blame onto c!Wilbur and c!Tommy while also making excuses the entire frankly shitty apology so
They immediately get Michael and throw c!Sam into prison with zero hiccups despite Sam Trying to act like he had some secret grand plan
And then 'oh so cautious of Technoblade' Tubbo just Moves In with him inspite of Not Having To
Like no offense but just because Tubbo has faith in Technos ability to not destroy things or kill people (or zombie piglins) in his temper tantrums doesn't mean I do
Like as others have said it was Too Easy
But it was also just Boring and honestly kinda Annoying
Like I get Techno doesn't take lore seriously and some light hearted lore can still be serious and seen as such but this was just One Big Joke
Literally
And I'm not Trying to be mean I love all the ccs involved and I have faith that future streams (In Tubbos case anyhow /hj) will clear up grievances or furthur the story of this one but
Idk the whole vibe just kinda annoyed me
Especially when you could tell Sam and Eret were trying to he serious and act their little hearts out and were just getting interrupted or had jokes made about it

My thoughts on Eagles season 3!
Since we're getting closer to the season 4 premiere earlier than anticipated, I finally finished this post that's been sitting and collecting dust in my drafts. I hope you enjoy! 👇
Here's a (late) post where I've reflected on my thoughts on Eagles season 3. I've already talked a little about my thoughts on this season in a post I made called Analyzing the writing of Eagles, so check that out if you want!
Episode 1 — Funeral
The third season began with the funeral of Klara's dad Ola, who passed away in the season 2 finale.
This episode was an emotional one and I love the opening where we see a young Klara playing in her house. The casting was spot on and I knew that this girl was supposed to be Klara the second we saw her.
That shot where we see young Klara and Ola happy in the foreground and the older Klara looking at them in the background is heartbreaking. I haven't seen a lot of people talking about it but that was such a good way of connecting the past with the present.
Tumblr media
Another detail that I liked in this episode is when Petra comes to pick Amie up to drive her to Ola's funeral. The music in the background building up to Amie saying she doesn't want to go and then cutting to the church was amusing and I enjoyed that.
I found Klara's mic drop moment at the end really over the top, but we also had scenes like Klara and Elias breaking up which had superb acting. All in all, this was a solid season premiere and set up the start of the season pretty well.
Rating: 8/10
Episode 2 — Diamonds
The one year time jump caught a lot of us off guard with this episode. It was fun seeing Amie as a successful singer and Elias being in the U.S. but this episode didn't really stand out that much for me.
I know some people were disappointed by the Ludde and Felicia reunion seeing as their only lines to each other were "hi". At this point I don't really care about them that much so I didn't give the reunion scene much thought, but I see their point.
I also felt like Elias moving back to Eagles after being drafted was kind of a let-down. It would've been cool to see Elias do something more in the U.S. than just immediately decide to go back to Eagles the moment we're introduced to him after being drafted. However, this is a low-budget show so I can't really complain too much.
Rating 6/10
Episode 3 — Field trip
This was a really fun episode! It was also a smart choice to have a class trip to Stockholm be the way to bring together Amie with the rest of the characters.
Elias being annoyed over having to come along to Stockholm and making up some wild story about night terrors so he'd get the window bed in the hotel room was pretty funny.
The complaints I had with this episode was that I didn't really pick up on the fact that Robin was romantically involved with Amie. The whole Amie/Felicia reconciliation also felt anti-climactic because they didn't really address anything.
In fact, they didn't get a proper reconciliation until 3x09 which is pretty insane considering it took that long for the Halloween incident storyline (that most people hated) to finally be resolved. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to see Amie and Felicia back together (and getting some Amie/Elias interaction!).
Rating: 7/10
Episode 4 — Date night
The highlight of Date night for me was definitely Elias and Amie. Their "non-date" at the cinema was just so sickly sweet in all the right ways. The contrast between Elias and Amie's blossoming relationship against Ludde and Felicia's constant problems was pretty interesting.
The ending of this episode where Amie gets a call from Michael who introduces himself as her father was a good cliffhanger (albeit with some questions, like how did Michael know Amie was back in Oskarshamn and where did he get her number?).
Rating: 7/10
Episode 5 — Wounds
I'm a sucker for the hockey game episodes, and the return of Jack made it all the more exciting. I loved the music choices for this episode and Andreas's scene where he gives Ludde some actual advice on his situation with Felicia was much-needed.
Rating: 9/10
Episode 6 — Crossroads
I absolutely loved the bench scene between Elias and Amie in this episode and the location was gorgeous.
Adrian and Alva's acting in the break-up scene between Ludde and Felicia was really well done, and I didn't see their break-up coming at all (mostly because they had already broken up before, so I wasn't expecting them to go there).
This episode also had a solid cliffhanger with Jack finally deciding to leak the Kroon family's secret. A good episode all around.
Rating: 7/10
Episode 7 — The bomb
This episode felt like a calm before the storm. The beginning was a little slow when we were all waiting for "the bomb" to drop, but when it finally did and we got that montage of the Kroon family finding out and fighting with each other... Chef's kiss.
It was frustrating to see so much blame being placed on Felicia, but I understand that's where the episode needed to go in order to make the ending work. Felicia running through the forest was heartbreaking to watch, but a really well done scene that wasn't as graphic as other suicide attempt scenes out there.
Rating: 7/10
Episode 8 — Lost
This was a tough episode to watch. From seeing Amie finding out the truth about her father abandoning her, to seeing Ludde have his reputation ruined and lose his shot at getting into the English school.
And above all that, Felicia being absent from the episode and her family getting increasingly worried about her whereabouts.
What bothered most people with this episode was that it had a glaring plot hole. If Elias had just texted Amie, he would know where Felicia was and there would be no need for the family to assume the worst at the end of the episode. This plot hole ruined the episode for me a little bit and made it less believable.
Rating: 5/10
Episode 9 — Rewind
This is probably my least favorite episode from this season. It's not terrible, but I think the long repetition of scenes from the last episode felt kind of lazy. I've also seen a few fans—mostly on Russian discussion forums—saying this episode was a waste of time.
Repeating scenes from Lost caused the two episodes to blend together in this strange way that made me feel like I was watching the same episode as the previous one.
I also wasn't a huge fan of the coloring in this episode. It was probably supposed to signify that we were seeing the same scenes but "through a different light", but the colors just ended up looking washed out and boring.
I know this episode was different than the usual style of Eagles but I just prefer the lighthearted moments over these hard-hitting scenes.
I do have to say that Alva Bratt as Felicia has major acting chops and without them, this episode definitely wouldn't have worked.
Rating: 4/10
Episode 10 — New Year's Eve
I felt like this season finale was more mellow and lowkey than previous finales. The New Year's Eve party wasn't the grand celebration it could've been and probably the last place you'd want to be during the countdown, but I still loved this episode.
I really enjoyed seeing Felicia finally being checked into a home and get proper help, which is something I've been wanting since season 1. Another scene that was just super sweet was Elias talking to Mats about how he was in love.
And, I mean...
Tumblr media
The ending with Andreas threatening Jack with a gun wasn't what I was expecting, but an interesting cliffhanger to end on. I liked the inclusion of an after-credits shot with the bloody hand and it made me really curious about what actually happened.
Rating: 9/10
My thoughts overall
Even if I had a lot of (minor) complaints, this season has been my favorite so far. We finally got to see the development of Elias and Amie's relationship, Felicia's issues were finally addressed, and we got the reconciliation of both Felicia/Amie and Amie/Klara.
I wish some of these things would've come much sooner but I'm happy that this season finally sorted out the messy storylines from past seasons that I wasn't really a fan of (namely the Halloween incident and Amie getting a crush on Ludde).
I'm really anticipating the release for season 4, which I definitely think will be even better than previous seasons!

Director's commentary for Remaking the World, but specifically for Chapters 6-9 when it overlapped canon please :) I'm curious about how you approached that span of time!
“Remaking the world” is an extension of the stage show exactly as it is—I like the challenge of responding to the original and I also just really did not have the energy to re-write newsies. Instead, I chose four scenes that fit between key moments in the show that I could use to better establish David’s character and connect the original story to the backstory and continuation I’ve created.
I have broken them down under the cut because this got truly ridiculous.
When I planned out the story, I calculated how Mayer’s injury and loss of job would affect the family income. By my math, they would be $5.00 short on their basic expenses by September. However, my math as based on the most basic costs of living (fuel, food, rent) and with the assumption that David and Les would be able to sell out every day and that their mother could get a consistent amount of piecework each week. Remember when I told you the fic was founded on Sad Math? This is the Sad Math. I’ve used this math as angst fuel ever since.
Chapter 6 was how I translated my understanding of their dire situation into the story. Right from the beginning, Esther and David are the only ones still standing in the wreckage of the accident—Mayer is injured, Les is terrified and confused, and Sarah is barely functioning—and they’re both holding on to their composure by a thread. Esther’s been taking the lead so far—she’s the one looking over the math, she’s the one that’s made the plans, she’s the one propelling them forward with vague promises of a return to normality. David is following her instructions. By the end of the scene their roles are reversed. He literally leads her to bed and through the Shema. This is a pivotal moment for David, so much so that he hasn’t really addressed it yet. It also bridges into his first day selling with Les, where he again is taking up the responsibility of protecting his brother and providing for the family. It also helps to establish that David’s initial terseness and standoffishness is due to desperation, fear, and fatigue. The near-miss with the truck is meant to show that David’s view of the world has been irrevocably changed; just like when he sees the girl running past the distribution gate, he sees and understands the risks all around him and feels powerless against them.
Because I expanded on the stress David was facing, Chapter 7 was meant to explain how David becomes the more confident and outgoing version of himself we see in act 2. He gets to see that the newsies have accepted him as one of them not just for Jack’s sake but because of who he is and they get to see him as a kid their own age. They don’t quite understand each other (the whole thing with the laundry attests to that) but they respect each other. I also wanted to highlight just how much of a risk the strike posed to David and his family. I was originally going to have Esther and Mayer yell at David when he returned, but that did not fit. Instead, I had him overhear them arguing to hit home his own conflict with his involvement. It also builds on the previous chapter; he’s forced to recognize that his parents do not have all the answers.
Everyone writing canon-compliant Newsies fics seems to need to write a post-rally reconciliation and everyone reading canon-compliant Newsies fics seems to want to read a post-rally reconciliation. So Chapter 8 came into the picture. Once again, the Sad Math propelled me. David and Jack’s relationship is obviously essential to this chapter; they are both desperate to find/provide a reason for David to forgive Jack, but part of them (the angry part in David and the self-hating part in Jack) also wants David to keep hating Jack. I didn’t want David to immediately forgive Jack, but I didn’t want him to not forgive him. Instead he says to give him time. Also, I decided to have Jack tell David it was good to have him back—both in the "I'm really glad we're working together again" and "I'm happy you're no longer looking at me with dead eyes and a voice that's a breath away from breaking". I meant for it to connect to David later saying it to Jack. I never liked Jack dismissing him for saying it. By paralleling it here, I meant to imply that David’s said it to Jack because he wanted to reach out, right back but doing so shows that he didn’t understand what Jack was saying in the first place. Jack sloughs it off because David’s using his words against him and David thinks it’s funny how annoyed he seems to be to hear David say it back. He continues to pull this trick throughout “Remaking the world” and Jack does it right back, often by mimicking David’s accent and pronunciation. It’s sort of a running joke and sort of a way for them to connect with one another.
I decided to include the post-strike celebration because the last three chapters were really damn heavy—both in terms of plot and mood. I like the idea of having rest stops in stories. A celebration of their success, marking out a turning point in David’s life, felt like a good one. This was also an opportunity to show David fully reconciling with Jack, connecting with Katherine and the other newsies, and continuing to settle into his new role as VP (and realizing he is VP). . At the same time, David still sees himself as separate. He spends most of the chapter narrating, aka observing, the others rather than directly interacting with them. I wanted to end off the canon-aligned chapters showing that he has grown but still has a way to go until he feels secure in his friendships and with himself.
I swear this is the condensed version. If you want to know more about anything from these chapter specifically, drop me an ask and I’d be happy to go more into it.

I’m (not) With The Band. | o2
Tumblr media
summary: Adrienne is an indie producer who is hired to help co-produce BTS’ next album alongside their resident producer; Suga. Despite the initial opposition on both ends, the pair spend time together, share a few stories, dreams and aspirations and begin to hit it off really well. Wrapped up in the whirlwind of late nights and heated disagreements and reconciliations, Min Yoongi and Adrienne Rolle find themselves growing closer and closer. One night they decide to cross the barrier between personal and professional and do their best make a relationship work against all odds.

Adrienne had never been a shy person.
She was always the first to volunteer for school presentations even if she hated the class, she made it her duty to be friends with every single one of her lab partners in science class whether they wanted that friendship or not and she was always ready and willing to offer her opinion when questioned on just about anything.
But it seemed that being in a new country, thousands of miles from home had given her personality somewhat of a timid edge since she was currently surrounded by six energetic and talkative boys and Adrienne couldn't think of words to answer their nonstop questions. The language barrier could excuse some of her silence since she honestly didn't understand a lot of their questions, but for the things she did understand Adrienne couldn't stop herself from looking like a fish out of water; her mouth gaping open then closing quickly when she lost her train of thought.
"Where are you from?" "How old are you?" "Are you older than me?" "Should I call you noona?" "Can you give me a big part in our title track?"
The questions kept coming and Adrienne could barely keep up when a stern voice from the front of the van finally calmed the storm of inquisitive young voices.
"Calm down, kids. At least let her answer before you start asking another question."
Adrienne sighed a short breath of relief when she was finally able to hear herself think and offered the lanky boy in the passenger seat  a small smile of gratitude.
"Okay, I want to answer all your questions. But I have a few of my own first" She said as she rested the notebooks she'd been clutching tightly against her chest onto her lap. "Well, questions and one request."
"First, I don't speak Korean that well so try to talk slowly because I didn't understand half of what you guys just said." Adrienne chuckled and looked around at the smiling and curious faces of the boys who were still facing her.
"Second, I want to make sure I have everyone's name right so I know who I'm talking to, -Jin?" Adrienne asked and pointed to the boy seated to her left a row ahead who nodded and Adrienne smiled, feeling accomplished.
"J-hope?" She asked of the next member who immediately replied yes and shot her a love bullet which Adrienne pretended to get hit by before laughing and sitting up straight again. "Would you mind if I just called you by your real name?"
"Yes, that's okay" he nodded quickly with a surprised grin.
"Okay, Hoseok. It's locked in."
She moved on to the person with the deep voice who had complimented her hair. Andy didn't quite recognize his face since in the performance videos she studied they all had different hair colors than they currently did. The only reason she managed to remember Suga's name without doubting herself was because she forced herself to, knowing that he would be the one she would most likely be talking to the most. Adrienne was still riding high on the confidence of getting the first two name's correct however so she assumed she would his name right as well. "...Jungkook?" her confidence was shot down when he didn't smile and the other boys began laughing at her mistake.
"I'm Kim Ta- Taehyung Kim" He replied in English, which surprised Adrienne to much for her to remain embarrassed.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" Adrienne apologised quickly "Tae..hyung...V?"
He nodded and offered her a wide and boxy grin which Adrienne couldn't help but replicate, it was infectious.
"I hope you're Jungkook," She said to the next member and instead of smiling and agreeing with her like Adrienne was so sure he would his youthful features fell into something like a glare and the young boy shook his head from side to side gravely. Adrienne felt her eyes open widely and her hands flew to her cover her face in embarrassment, she was never particularly great with names but she was pretty confident that she recognized his face.
"Yah, Jungkook. Don't be like this" The member seated in the same row as Adrienne, on the other side of Yoongi spoke up.
When Adrienne peeled her hands away from her eyes and looked forward again she could see the mischievous smile budding on "Not-Jungkook's" lips before he collapsed into a fit of laughter which made Adrienne gasp when she realised that he was only kidding.
"Oh that's not funny" She replied even though she started laughing right along with him.
"We are going to have problems aren't we?" Adrienne said to Jungkook who replied with a playful quirk of his eyebrow before Jin and Taehyung shouted something about him being greasy.
Adrienne turned to her side and glanced down at the member she'd already spoken to, "I've met Suga," she muttered to the body on her side, he wasn't moving but Adrienne could tell that he wasn't really asleep. Looking up, she prepared to guess the next name but he was already speaking and offering his hand for her to shake before Andy could say anything.
"I'm Jimin" He said with warm and inviting smile "Please take good care of us."
Adrienne accepted his handshake and found herself staring at his smile for longer than she would consider appropriate.
"Now who's being greasy?" She heard Jungkook chuckle in a murmur and that made her snap back to attention and stop shaking Jimin's hand like an idiot.
"Okay so that just leaves, Rap Monster?" The boy at the front of the minibus nodded and turned slightly to wave in Adrienne's direction "You can call me Namjoon if you want" He replied, also in English which made Adrienne knit her eyebrows together.
"How many of you speak English?"
Namjoon laughed, making the deep dimples in his cheeks sink even deeper "Just me. V knows some English but he doesn't practice enough."
Taehyung nodded and looked at Adrienne "It's true."
Andy laughed and pulled the ends of her braids over her right shoulder "This is so great, I thought I would be lost the entire time but you speak English! You can help me! This is really really great" Adrienne rambled, her mood noticeably less subdued than when she first stepped into the vehicle.
"If you need to translate anything I'll try to help as much as I can" Namjoon reassured her.
"Good, my tutor says that I shouldn't speak English if I know how to say what I want to say in Korean so I'll try not to use you as a crutch."
"I wouldn't mind."
Adrienne grinned, holding Namjoon's gaze for a moment before glancing down at her lap while the rest of the members simply looked on with confusion. Well, all except V who could make out some of their conversation.
"I actually wanted to talk to someone about a few ideas I had in mind for your next album" Adrienne started, switching back to her cautious and slow Korean "But I'm not sure my co-producer is up for a conversation right now." She said underneath her breath and looked to her side at Yoongi who remained bundled up and still.
"Yeah, you don't want to wake him up. He didn't really sleep last night." Jin said gently as he joined Adrienne in looking down at Yoongi.
"I don't think he's sleeping, though" Adrienne answered back and leaned down to examine his face more closely.
"How can anyone sleep with all this goddamn noise?" Yoongi protested, loudly, from beneath his hood.
Adrienne jumped back and placed a hand on her heart, the sudden sound of his voice when she got closer to him nearly scared her to death.
"I knew it" She whispered once her heart rate had settled, his sudden outburst confirmed Adrienne's suspicions of him being awake. "Sorry about the noise" Adrienne stated in Yoongi's direction but he only shook his head and removed the hood covering his eyes.
He was never going to attain the amount of rest he was chasing so there wasn't any point in pretending that he could.
The group rode out the rest of the commute in relative silence, Adrienne taking the time to make conversation with the younger members while the older ones seemed to be involved in their own forms distraction or trying to rest their eyes. It took them nearly an hour to reach their destination and once the van halted to a stop everyone immediately began pouring out the van leaving Adrienne confused and stuck in her seat.
"Uh, do I need to get out too?" She called out to Yoongi since he was the last to exit the van and closest to her seat.
Yoongi pulled an earbud out of his ear and turned back to face her as if he'd forgotten she was still sitting down and hadn't joined the rest of the group when they got out.
"Yes, you need to get out of the van" He replied bluntly and watched as she gathered up her belongings and soon joined him on the pavement. They both began walking quickly to catch up with the rest of the boys who were already inside the building.
"Someone should have said something," and by someone she meant Yoongi but that didn't need to be clarified.
"It's kind of obvious isn't it?"
"Not really, I'm not being interviewed why would I need to get out of the van?"
Yoongi discreetly rolled his eyes by pressing his palm to his forehead for a few seconds before he began speaking again. This is exactly what he wanted to avoid today; having to explain how and when to do everything on their tight schedule.
"When you're with us, you do what we do," he said after a moment's hesitation, turning his head to look Adrienne full on.
"Okay, that makes sense. That wasn't so hard to explain was it?"
Adrienne smiled as she teased him and Yoongi took the time to secretly appreciate how easily her wide off-centre grin seemed to spread across her lips and illuminate her entire face. She reminded him of Jimin in that way, both of them possessed those kinds of expressions. Smiles that honestly looked painful to be so broad and enticing resting on someone's face.
"Suga-ssi!"
His name was being called and Yoongi stopped leering just long enough to notice that his members were already in the process of being seated, leaving him the odd one out.
"Find a seat," He said to Adrienne quickly before scurrying toward where the rest of BTS was seated.
Adrienne nodded and slowly turned to find somewhere to sit down and occupy herself until they were done with their interview. The rest of the staff that had walked in with them seemed to be gathering around a  certain table do Adrienne joined them here, offering everyone she recognised a small greeting before she pushed a pair of earbuds in her ears and silently turned to an empty page in her notebook and began scribbling music notes and lyrics over the page.
Listening to the different tones in all of them members voices when they spoke had given her a few ideas for something new. Every so often Adrienne would look up while the boys spoke, laughing at the silly answers to the interviewers questions or to watch them demonstrate a dance move or song lyric from their current album. She would smirk and make faces whenever she caught one of them looking in her direction, she caught Namjoon the most and one of the faces she made nearly made him laugh out loud while Jimin was answering a question.
Truthfully, she only caught Namjoon the most because her eyes tended to gravitate toward him whenever she looked up. If Adrienne had been paying close attention she would have noticed that Yoongi's eyes rarely left her when he wasn't being addressed or answering something. Initially, he just wondered what she was writing down but as the interview wore on and Yoongi became more uninterested in repeating the same answers to the same kinds of questions he began staring at her just to have something appealing to look at. The way Adrienne bit down on the end of her pen cap when she seemed to be stuck on something, and the wrinkle that would form in her forehead when she reread something she wrote down only to realise it made no sense was all, dare he think it?
Cute.
The interview finished about an hour after they began and as everyone got up and prepared to leave their manager was informing them that the photo shoot they had scheduled next was cancelled due to the photographer injuring himself. Instead, they would all be returning to the studio so that they could get in a few extra hours of practice.
Adrienne pumped her fist silently to herself because she knew that meant that she would finally be able to get some of the music out of her head before she went crazy.
"He said we're going back to the studio right?" Adrienne asked Namjoon when she stood up to join the group walking outside. Namjoon nodded and repeated the manager's message in English for Adrienne who nodded and struck up a conversation with him on their way back to the van, leaving Yoongi to continue silently gazing from behind them.

Based on the finale, what do you think about Arya’s endgame theory that she will get together with Ned Dayne?
Dear nonny,
Arya's endgame on the show was so strange... Arya in the books just wants to go home for most of the time, but I think it is possible that she will realise when she'll finally make it back in the books that nothing is as it were. I mean Arya probably will be involved with the Red Wedding 2.0., but I think that bookwise it will be her turning point, the event that will finally make her realise that revenge is not the solution. It might also be that we get an Arya suspecting Sansa of treason in the books as well (but it will be better done I'm sure). Anyway I could picture Arya wanting to go away for a while especially if Jonsa happens and she is aware of that. But I think there is no way that Arya will never return. This is why I was pissed with the ending in the show for Arya. I think if she would just have said: 'See you in five years', that would have been believable, but leaving forever? No way!
I am not sure what to make of Gendrya in the show. I mean they have obvious romantic tropes in the books, but I am not sure if it is meant to be fulfilled bookwise, because Arya is still only 12 in the books. First I thought that we would see them together in an epilogue (like we know that Pippin - who is a late teen after Hobbit standards in LotR - later marries). Then I thought that Gendry would be a victim of Dany's paranoia directed against possible claimants of the Throne and that Dany would kill him - which in turn would give Arya a reason to kill Dany. There are events in the Fire and Blood book that point that way. But I guess this theory must be laid to rest since it was Jon who killed Dany (and this is foreshadowed as well). So, I would say that if Arya gets a love interest in the books it should be Gendry. Of course her endgame might include a reconciliation with Dorne and that might mean a Dornish marriage - but that would rather mean a Martell.
As for Ned Dayne whom she meets on her travels, I think that it is not likely that he will turn out as a love interest. There is far less romantic interaction than with Gendry and I think that Ned is there to tell Arya and the readers some important facts about Ned. His name Ned Dayne even shows the connection Ned Stark had to the Daynes! The story Ned tells us an important RLJ hint and that is why he is there I think. I don't think he is a love interest for Arya.

omg what do you think about red hood outlaw 27?? I'm seeing a 50/50 split from fans here mostly because while we all enjoyed a hug in a batbook after all these deaths, it still doesn't excuse the beat down from Bruce and telling him the 'never believing in you' crap, like he deserved it or something. I know Jason is used to the abuse and pain but this is a bit too sudden however I'm glad Jason is able to handle Roy's death maturely.
Oof, I almost wrote a post about this earlier, because my thoughts over it are very complicated, and the more time I’ve had to think about it, the more disappointed I’ve realised I am.
The hug between Bruce and Jason was lovely in terms of it being something we’ve all wanted to happen, but at the same time, it felt terribly unearned and way dissatisfying for it. There’s a huge disconnect in this issue in the way Jason and Bruce were acting towards each other from when last they met – it’s almost like we’re getting an interaction between two different people. And to be honest, for me, they were walking the line of being OOC, which largely ruined my ability to enjoy the moment.
It’s not just the strangeness of Bruce suddenly being so forgiving towards Jason when he was recently so willing to lock him up and throw away the key, either, but also in how Jason doesn’t bite back against Bruce banning him from Gotham (which he was told prior to the news of Roy’s death, so no excuse there), and how okay he is with not being involved in the hunt for Roy’s killer. In fact, he volunteers himself not to get involved, which doesn’t feel like Jason at all. If Lobdell had had Jason ask to get involved and then had Bruce shoot him down over it, that would have made much more sense, but this moment of just… “Oh no, my best friend has been murdered. Well there’s already too many cooks in the kitchen on that one, guess I best stay out of it.” was weird. The only way I could possibly excuse it ICly was if Jason said that to throw Bruce off and still planned on going after Roy’s killer anyway. But I’m pretty sure that won’t be the case, looking at future solicitations.
More likely, the situation was that Lobdell wanted to have Jason be able to react to Roy’s death in-comic, but also had his hands tied in that the Heroes in Crisis storyline is something DC’s keeping largely self-contained. But still, he could have resolved it better (perhaps as I mentioned above, by simply having Bruce tell him not to do so).
The same thing goes for Bruce and Jason’s ‘reconciliation’. It almost makes the whole fallout from the last 3 issues of RHATO feel pointless, because in the end, nothing about the status quo has really changed, aside from Jason being ‘banned’ from Gotham, which I don’t expect to last long either. There was no commitment here from Lobdell to the story arc he started, and while I can see what he was going for, it’s largely resulted in everything that happened before it falling apart in hindsight.
It’s a shame, because this issue could have been fantastic with Bruce finding Jason because he feels a responsibility to break the news of Roy’s death to him personally, but also the two of them struggling to talk civilly to each other even for that because of all the bitterness and resentment that’s sprung up between them again as a result of Jason’s recent actions. We could have had Jason bringing up all his old arguments against Bruce, accusing him of not even wanting know why he felt the need to try and kill Penguin. Of pointing out the hypocrisy of Bruce being willing to be ‘kind and sympathetic’ to him now over the loss of a friend when before he was perfectly willing to beat Jason to a pulp after he just lost two others (one of them a love interest). And on the flip side, Bruce trying to stay calm in the face of Jason’s anger and pain, but also struggling to contain his own, because he wants so badly to have his son back with him, but because of his own principles can’t so easily forgive and forget.
Jason should have stormed out of that diner from Bruce, because even if Bruce could forgive him, Jason himself can never forgive that easily. Bruce meanwhile, should have been left sitting there, wanting to reach out and pull Jason home but being unable to. Instead there was a hug, but it felt undeserved, and because of it, I think a whole lot of us have been left feeling cheated and unsatisfied by this issue.
(I will say however, that the pages of Jason leaving Roy a voicemail were great, especially with how he reacted by saying ‘death is a revolving door’ when it comes to superheroes, which is a perfect expression of denial where he’s concerned that Roy’s really gone. I’d love to see that portrayed in a way that drags and tears at Jason the longer Roy stays dead without coming back, to the point that he does eventually break down about it. There needed to be tears in this moment gdamnit and we were given none..)
