PART 1 - WHEN U FUCK UP FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS ON A TV-SHOW

Hello,    Now that I've finished watching the entire Eagles series, I have HUGE problems with the script regarding the girl friendship (which could have been absolutely INSANELY awesome and iconic if handled with love).    BEFORE I say how this should have been done, I will drag the series for how they destroyed any form of STRONG female friendship. 

That Amie ends up making out or (worse) sleeping with Ludde in season 1 is wildly ridiculous and makes my skin crawl. And the fact that they write Amie for the WHOLE season 2 as hunting for Felicia's ex, who was becoming a very good friend, is completely inept. Amie chases and chases and chases after Ludde (the only thing I'm going to say, where it makes sense, is that Amie has serious daddy issues).    But the fact that both Amie, Felicia and Klara have a lot of room for boys, boys, boys to come first is deeply problematic. There are no words to describe my hatred for seeing a great potential masterpiece of an iconic girl friendship completely trashed and shamed.    And Amie and Felicia are not okay until season 3x9. Felicia is of course devastated by Amie's betrayal. And Amie was not devoted in trying to get Felicia back as a friend (through season 2).    Despite the fact that I HATED that Amie didn't throw food back at Felicia in the cafeteria, I can objectively understand how angry and hurt Felicia was about what Amie did whit Ludde.

I feel like he would try to make each of the rounds super memorable though.

Beta Film distributed “The Couple Next Door” series, the Beta Film drama series was sold before the MIPCOM’s event to Movistar Plus+ in Spain and Nordic countries, public television stations NRK in Norway, YLE in Finland, SVT in Sweden, DR. in Denmark and RÚV in Iceland took the title.

The official thriller of the dark psychological drama ‘The Couple Next Door’ (6x1h, Eagle Eye Drama/Beta/Channel4/STARZ/LIONSGATE+) delves into the repercussions of pursuing one's darkest desires. PART 2 - WHEN YOU FUCK UP FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS ON A TV-SHOW

Felicia was so encouraging and helped Amie's first steps to her music career. She gave constructive criticism on how Amie could get more followers on social media (not posting tons of videos at once) because Felicia really wanted Amie to succeed. She encouraged Amie to go and talk to Tobbe. She took care of Amie after she got shitfaced drunk (so much so that she got her family involved and we, THANK BABY JESUS, ​​got the awesome scene with Amie and Elias in his room). Felicia quickly became very fond of Amie and Amie quickly became fond of Felicia. They could have become lovely, platonic soulmates (as fans made youtube videos: Top Amicia soulmate moments).    I LOVE Amie and i am more mad at the writers and how they dared to make her from season 1-2 than I am at the character, Amie.    I'm so pissed how they dared to let Ludde be the thing that broke something that I can clearly see could have been an inspiring, wonderful female friendship. 

Amie and Felicia were supposed to get to celebrate Amie's career path together, and Amie being inspired by Felicia to write a song about her or suddenly call out Felicia's name (as a funny inside joke) in one of her songs. And despite the fact that Felicia is very rich and can buy most things in the world, Amie wanted to buy Felicia something with her first big singing career money, which Felicia whould value and displayed in her room (so she always has Amie with her, even when Amie is far away on tour).    AND when Amie, Felicia and Klara (I always say Klarna, but it's Swedish too) lie on the bed together and apologize to each other, it was far from good or particularly heartwarming for me. I know: the friendship that was in season 1 is broken forever BUT I don't feel like I saw a good sign that I believed that they had really started a new friendship from season 4 and onwards. I really don't trust the men and women in that writing room.    I would have built Amie and Felicias and made it stronger with the fact that (in the season 1 finale) Ludde is unfaithful with someone in their class, rather than with Amie.    I also don't think I would have had Klara film it (even though she is persistently problematic in manipulating Aime against Felicia and bullying Felicia).    In season 2, I would have added that, when Felicia came back from the US, she had Amie there as a supporter next to Elias and her mother. BUT Amie has worked with Ludde in the studio and is unsure how to share this, and whether (now that Felicia is back in town) whether she should continue working with Ludde. Be 100% loyal to her best friend or think more about her career?    I would have Felicia find out by coming by the studio (to suprise amie) and find her making music whit Ludde. Amie and Felicia would get in a fight where Felicia angry yells, “do you have short term memory? He cheated, and it's on film!” Amie would answer frustrated that "Yes, I know, but we write such good songs together. We work so well together.”    Felicia would storm away and give Amie a cold shoulder, leave her on read for days, before Felicia goes to Amie. Amie says, "I'll stop working with Ludde if you want." 

Felicia would say with a heavy sigh, “it's ok. I want you to be very successful. So ... write with him.”

Still, I would leave the friendship a bit strange, and not have the 2 girls be completely on the same wavelength until Jack, the whore, is showing his dusty self at the party.    Now to Amie and Elias from Season 2:    Since they would see more of each other (despite Elias still having his short, soft fuckboy phase and being with Klara) I would have added a sprinkle here and there (in more than 2 episodes) of banter between Amie and Elias. And STILL managed to get Elias' sweet comment about Amie's hair in, but not at the hospital (as I would have written all 3 went and visited Ludde).    I think, despite the fact that Felicia was in the USA and Amie and Elias are friends in the season 2 premiere, I would still let them be so busy with hockey and music that they don't physically meet each other, but write some messages.    Season 3 with Amie and Elias developing relationship was really well done!! And I'm pretty biased with these two cuties so...yeah. 

WHAT I LOVE: Episode "road trip" - Amias scenes and Elias spinning a hysterically funny story, to the scout, about Amie being pregnant and that they're expecting a boy, is so INSANELY brilliant. One of my absolute favorite Elias/Emias moments!!    Also the scene right before they go out on the balcony, when Amie imagines everything that can be done in the apartment to spruce it up    I got a strong sense of subtle foreshadowing about their future in LA. And as the actor, who plays Amie said, "I also think Amie and Elias stick together, and become a power couple."    And I love the chemistry the 2 actors managed so incredibly well to get through to Amie and Elias.    Elias is my top 3 favorites.    I love Amie (from season 3) and love certain things about her from season 1-2. Her style is always dripping and her hair is always on point. And I LOVE that they wrote a black girl quite feminine and not dealing w trauma, or black girl struggle. And that she was the girl who ended up having a boyfriend at the end of the series, and was about to go and make it big overseas.     AND Petra (that lady is hysterically funny when she makes petty comments against the Kroon family, to Mats).    And I really appreciated what Ludde said, in the scene where he and Felicia are pillow talking and he asks, “ Did you come?" and then says, after Felicia replies, "We can try again later."

I can't count on 1 hand the times I've seen a teenage boy (ON TV) say something like that to his girlfriend about her pleasure. Chefs kiss!!

Caratland 2023 ~ Day 3 Highlights

Evelyn’s Slogan: “Carats are the reason for my everything ❤️”

Intro Vcr: Evelyn peeked through the curtains and came in carrying a milk crate full of spray paint

Intro ment:

The camera panned onto Evelyn as she adjusted her glasses dramatically to the carats screaming, breaking out into a huge smile, “Hello, I’m Seventeen’s elegant main vocalist, Eunji! Unfortunately it’s the last day but we’re spending it together so lets have the most fun today!” She waved around the venue.

“Wah, Eunji-ah introduced herself just like she did during the first world tour concert,” Hoshi gasped into his mic.

“That was such a long time ago,” Seungkwan nodded, “It’s really crazy how the time flies.”

“Our first concert with Evie is one we’ll never forget that’s for sure,” Seungcheol stepped forward out of his spot to smile down towards the end Evelyn was at.

“Eunji-ah cut her hair for caratland!” ~ “She has bangs now!”

2nd Vcr: When the camera got to her, she winked at the camera with a smirk

SVT Debate Night: Evie was on team Sparrow who can fly everywhere w/ Seungcheol, Dino, Joshua, DK, Vernon, & Woozi

“Sparrows are able to fly to any destination that Carats are located.”

Mingyu’s target being evie: “Evie do you know what sparrows lack? height.”

Evie targeted Mingyu on her next turn: “So Mingyu, you know what sparrows have over eagles? Flight” She whacked the top of his head with her papers playfully causing all of the members to ‘Ooo’ at him with the fans joining it too

3rd VCR : She was pulling cans of spray paint out of the crate she carried in and sprayed up the wall a few times before joining in and throwing paint with Hoshi and Dino

She was placed on ‘Team T’ as she hadn’t performed the song that doesn’t fit her during Day 1 or Day 2

During each question, Evelyn was holding onto Wonwoo’s hand because they both didn’t want to perform their songs

The song that doesn’t suit Evelyn the most was: Kai - ‘Mmmh’

After Evelyn finished her dance, the crowd burst out into cheers. Her face flushed in embarrassment, covering her face with her hands.

“Eunji-ah, this song fits you too well.” Dokyeom gasped into his mic, others nodding in agreement.

“This is a side of Evelyn we haven’t seen in a while.”

“Go do it down on the thrust-stage too,” Hoshi motioned downstage, “Carats in the back need to see this up close.”

“There was actually another song that Eunji had prepared to do, would carats like to see?” Jeonghan asked around the venue suddenly erupting into cheers.

Evelyn’s 2nd song prepared: Ateez - ‘Halazia’

She followed along with Joshua and was his hype woman along with BSS during his performance for Daechwita

“Wow Joshua is really cool, no wonder we had him end this segment.”

Going Rangers Skit: Evelyn’s role for the skit was playing the counterpart doctor to Dr. Woo as she was named Dr. Ji

“Dr. Ji, I’m so happy you’re here”

“No time to talk, We’ve got important business to take care of.”

After both sets of rangers went outside and saw their counterparts, Evelyn and Woozi pointed at each other pretending to be shocked and then turned slowly towards the camera with smirks on their faces as the ‘To Be Continued’ appeared on screen

4th VCR: Evelyn walked up to Joshua, Mingyu, and threw her arm around Dino. Mingyu banged on the machine and handed her over a drink as they continued to mingle

Evelyn had blush painted on as ‘17’ just like Bongbongie does on their face

Evelyn’s Grandmother’s message:

“To my granddaughter and my 13 grandsons: Watching you all grow into the artists that you are today has been such a blessing to see. No matter what obstacles stood in your way, mountains you’ve had to climb, struggles you’ve had to face, you managed to pushed through and overcome all of them. I’m very proud of the people that you all have become and the growth you keep experiencing with each other. To many more years of achievements and being together as SEVENTEEN. I love you all so much and thank you all for your hard work. Stay happy and stay healthy. Love always, Grandma Park.”

At her grandmother’s message, Evelyn fell to her knees and her head dropped down as she couldn’t help but cry. Even though they talk almost every day, not being able to see her all the time gets harder and harder.

Mingyu squatted down next to her and wrapped his arms around her as she cried, wiping away her tears when she finally looked up at the LED screen again

Jeonghan came by and patted her on top of the head; Joshua ran and grabbed her tissues

Evelyn’s Ending Ment:

“Carats did you have fun today?” She smiled around the venue as everyone cheered, sitting up on the riser a little more, “Online Carats, you aren’t here physically but did you have fun as well?” She held her mic out towards the camera as the fans cheered lightly to act as the online fans. She cleared her throat quickly before starting again.

“It’s crazy how fast these day have went by and it feels like we just started. I’m sure I speak for everyone up here but it’s an honor to be able to perform for you all,” She stopped to pause as the venue cheered, “Every time that Seventeen and Carats meet, I always get so warm and happy inside because we really are like a giant family. We can lean on each other when we need to and while we can’t always tell you everything, we know you’re always right there for us. The same goes for Carats, even if we aren’t physically there in person, we are always there for you through the music we put out. I really want you to know that. I hope today we were able to take away any struggles you’ve been facing, at least for a little while. Evelyn looked over at Mingyu during Wonwoo’s ment, take notice of a single tear traveling down his cheek. She used her knuckle to wipe it away, smiling at him when they made eye contact

She walked up the risers after making sure Mingyu was okay, and sat with Wonwoo and held onto his hand while the rest of the group said their ments

During Us, Again, she blinked back tears and used her sleeve to wipe at the ones that decided to fall anyway; just admiring the fans singing

She had her own satchel for Day 3 filled with little snacks for Carats after Day 1 & 2 she was running to Jeonghan to steal from his snack stash

After he found out the gate was unlocked, Mingyu grabbed Evelyn’s hand and they ran through the crowd together with the security and cameramen chasing after them

A carat gave her a sign with the saying “Evie if you are pretty blow a kiss to the camera” in which she blew a bunch of kisses to the camera zoom in on her

As she walked around, she ended up collecting three bouquets of flowers given to her by Carats

During Aju Nice, Mingyu and Evelyn had a water fight where she almost slipped on the stage

Seungcheol scolded them from the main stage with saying that they didn’t need any more injured members

😌 will gladly accept the horangdan title! here’s another fun tidbit for you: in the mmtg vid where svt performs all those medleys of classic kpop songs, when they do saldaga by sg wannabe, eagle-eyed viewers may notice that hoshi is like, ridiculously specific about how he imitates violin playing as compared to the other members. it’s much more accurate—a lot of violin or string playing imitations move the bow and really ignore the how violin players bend their neck against the violin. and the Reason hoshi doesn’t fall into this common trap is 100% (in my opinion) bc he’s imitated violin playing before—in his performance of bad guy by rain on masked singer. I’d bet that he looked into how violin players play before doing that performance (and good thing he did bc they literally cut to a violin player right after he does that) and that’s why. u can also see him imitate the violin in the lil dance break part of spider. - car crash anon

SVT have alot of good high quality shows. I think as you said the shows to young people are less quality like Fej Malte and Frida was in was not so good. But I think Eagles that was more for young people was pretty good. It depends on the people behind the project I think

Never got into Fejk. I did watch eagles and enjoyed it and I would say it was better than fejk but it's still not a great show I would say. I think the acting was very so so from many actors and the script (by Michaela Hamilton) had it's ups and down.

I'm not gonna go too much into it. As I said it was quite popular and was entertaining enough to have me look forward to each episode.

Memories 2023 Part 1

Jan: i ring in the new year counting down to midnight at work. i try various new hip hop classes with different instructors, terrified i'll show up and be the only student. there were times i've shown up, been one of two students, and was told "this is gonna be an improv class" and im like fuuuuuuuc---- and i end up just having to improv and of course looking like a dying cockroach every time. i leave hip hop class dripping in sweat and feeling alive. reminded me of the days (long ago) id walk around all day in baggy sweaters and baggy sweats over my leotards/tights/leggings and never cared about how i looked like a slob because i felt so fulfilled emotionally and physically fit and was so assured of my happiness

Feb: pouring rain again after many weeks of heavy rains. sit down to an exquisite Cal-Indian meal with people who are also passionate about food. we all make enough money now that we can order way more than we would've been able to as students, which is when we first met. the flavors, richness, textures, temperatures of the various dishes, all topped off with a cocktail. we earned this and we are eating well and i realize that i can have experiences now that were so out of reach to me growing up. i never got to experience fine dining growing up.

Mar: late at night wandering by myself on the cruise, stumble upon singers and musicians performing at the pub. i'm completely sober, plop down by myself at a table in the front and center, sip on my water. there are only a few people in the audience; i feel sorry for the performers about the low turnout. everyone else still awake at that hour is at the raunchy adult-themed game show or casino instead. but i am so damn glad im at this humble, small, low-key performance; i get the sense that the others who also chose to stay here are kindred spirits who want to feel music. my senses are heightened, though maybe that's because i'm nervous, self-conscious, exhilarated, out of my comfort zone. the talent is so genuine, artists who work hard. music is one of the simplest joys, part of what makes life worth living. fully immersed in the sounds, i sing along to covers of janis joplin, prince, eagles, etc. until the show is over. my family's asleep, nobody can reach me because i have no reception out at sea. nobody knows where i am, so it is just me and the music and a small group of individuals who chose to be there of all activities on the ship. starting to think maybe i shouldnt drink at all for more events, because i feel like my memory is crystal clear and sharp and i was able to soak every sense into my memory more because i didn’t drink at all

Apr: watch bats fly out as day turns to night

May: wore a heart rhythm monitor for 14 days that my physician prescribed, distinctly remember an episode of the palpitations being particularly bad. when the report was published it was cool to see episode of SVT measured and graphed on the report and HR 179 bpm even though I was just sitting at the time and hadn't been exercising before that. in awe of technology and all of the knowledge accumulated and passed on for humans to invent that
