Rise of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - Zordon & Alpha V

After being beaten rough by the dark shadow released from the moon urn, Alpha V notes to the Rangers that he has detected a presence of something that can help them. Or rather, someone.

The sudden appearance of the shadow triggered memories that hadn’t been available to Alpha up to that point, remembering his master.

The White Light - Zordon of Eltar

The Rangers follow Alpha’s directions to a buried spaceship under the Mojave. Entering in, they find the control room and are greeted by Alpha V in person, rather than a transmission on their HUDs. Alpha flips some switches and instructs the Rangers to place their Power Coins in the console, filling five of six indents.

Restored and renewed, a holographic face appears in a tube behind them, the face of Zordon.

He welcomes them to the Command Center, however he soon realises that if the Power Coins have returned, then that means the Empire of Evil has returned, and by extension its herald; Atir.

MAG 2 - 'Do Not Open' - When doing the wrong thing is the right move.

The statement of Joshua Gillespie is truly iconic amongst those of survivors; he's not someone who made a good choice, he's not somebody who particularly deserved to survive, and unlike many he had almost complete choice in getting himself into his predicament. As paranormal encounters go I'd say this is just about as close as one could get to the opposite of Jon's encounter with Mr. Spider, both of which took place in Jon's own hometown.

To be presented with the statement of somebody who did everything wrong and suffered not a single consequence? Its a bitter and unpleasant thing to face, especially so early into the thankless task of reorganising the archive.

Jon, a child, a true innocent, suffered greater than a drug addled, privileged, stupid uni graduate. And worse still? He's handed conclusive proof that these things, these horrible fates can be avoided with simply enough effort, enough critical thinking. A man who's devoted all of himself to intelligence and capability is plainly told that he (for how well can we separate ourselves from the child we once were?) could have saved the boy that pulled him from the ready jaws of the web had he just been quicker, smarter, more alert.

What intense frustration to see that somebody who made one good decision in a situation that he could not, was spared. The unbelievable foolishness of a man willing to store a coffin in his home for over a year was beaten by the one good decision to store the key out of his reach.

What if Jon had the good sense to get rid of the book? What if he'd noticed there was something wrong with it- he should have, after all; he was an absent-minded child but not a fool. He could have figured it out. One good choice could have spared him the childhood trauma that led him to this job that's steadily becoming more and more odd, falling more out of his control.

To be beaten by a fool is never a good thing, to sit defeated whilst a clown who made one right choice lives on is just intolerable. Perhaps Jon's utter denial of it came not from the lack of reliable, but from the fact that if it wasn't true it would also be false that his own encounter could have been avoided.

I have a lot of grievances over how Vitani's Lion Guard was executed in the finale, but I think the one thing that would've saved it [or made it less bs] is to have them all be different animals. Same characters, personalities, voice actresses (and maybe eye-color?), and you can even keep the all-female guard, just different species of animals that would've made the ending come full circle rather than having its narrative be circular.

Like, Vitani's the one-lion on the Guard who's the leader/fiercest.

Shabaha would be a caracal cat since those motherfuckers can jump high and compete with other, bigger predators for food (we were robbed oa caraca, in TLG anyways so this would've been perfect.

Tazama would be a Secratarybird since they can run fast but also have sharp vision as birds of prey.

Imara would be a South African Rock Python, her strength being her coils and jaw vice - In fact, they could've easily saved time and effort by just co-opting the rock python from Season 1, pulling the ultimate Chekov's Gun by turning a background character into a major game player in the finale (also serving as a heroic parallel to Ushari and giving us a non-villainous snake, not enough of which are shown in media)

Kasi as an African Wild Dog (known for their stamina unlike the cheetah, and again, don't get enough appearances in animated animal-based media sans Wild Kratts)
