I'm on YouTube now!
The majority of my Detective Conan AMVs are now available in full 1080p, with soft subtitles that can be turned on and off. Many thanks to YTSubConverter for allowing me to make stylized soft subs for YouTube!
While you won't find all of my AMVs here—my latest is unfortunately unable to be posted to YouTube—I'm very excited to share these videos without the limitations of Tumblr.
A few of my uploads!

rules: put your music library on shuffle, then list the first five songs that come up in a poll to let people vote for their favourite!
...*looks at first song that came up* Extra rule: I'm gonna keep it to songs that other people could potentially search for and actually find.
Wow a song that isn't from a musical made it in there! It's written and sung by a musical theatre actor. :)
And I'll tag @starberry-cupcake, @pureanonofficial, @sphinxyvic, @moonlightredfern, and anyone else who wants to do it!

For my first clip uploaded here, I figured it would only be right to have it be tracer gameplay. Here are some highlights from Nico of team VARREL against Hayabusa Gaming* from today February 27th, 2024. *Hayabusa Gaming does not have a liquipedia page to link to

one of the most annoying parts about like being an internet person who makes things in any capacity is when you post something new, it will eat up the rest of your day updating all your other socials/etc., and that's not even factoring in all the other maintenance in between

edited max's flashbacks in the 'running up that hill' sequence in dear billy. as much as i love this scene, it always seemed weird to me how some of the flashbacks they picked where when she was annoyed and also i wanted to showcase max's relationships with lucas, el, and dustin, mike, will and steve.

"the magnus protocol had a whole ARG beforehand? what?"
yes! it did!
"oh so I need to have participated in this whole big thing to actually understand the podcast?"
not at all! from the official post-mortem put out by RQ, "while the ARG was not something that was necessary to participate in to understand the magnus protocol, it was designed to contain a wealth of background story and context that would enrich any player's listening experience."
"a wealth of background context that would enrich my listening experience 👀👀👀 how can I learn about this?"
SO glad you asked. sadly, many of the materials made for the arg have been taken down since the game ended 😔 (ex., the official OIAR, magnus institute, and bonzoland websites. (edit ii: I found partial wayback machine captures! see below) though @strangehauntsuk is still up!), so we're a bit low on primary sources, but in terms of learning about what happened:
for a starting point, I would really recommend this video by @pinkelotjeart
youtube
it's super accessible, it was made in real time as the game progressed and follows the solving and revelation of clues as they happened, it hits all the major points of the mystery and moments of community insanity while eliding some of the nitty gritty puzzle grinding, 10/10 would recommend.
here's the official summary put out by RQ, and I'd recommend reading through this once you've already gotten a basic handle on the flow of the story and the basic connections between major clues and events. it's got some fun behind-the-scenes info and lays out the thought process behind the puzzles in simple terms
here's the full masterdoc of all puzzles and resolutions put together in the statement remains discord server. masterdoc my absolute BELOVED, masterdoc my bethrothed, masterdoc my soul mate. I'd recommend this as a second port of call after the above video as it either contains all details about the puzzles or links to other expanded docs that do.
here's the narrative summary doc that lays out all the plot and lore discovered in three pages of plain prose. if you just want to get to the good bits as fast as you can and get blasted directly in the face by contextless lore bombs, this is the doc for you. if you don't want to start with the video, I'd say this is another good entry point.
once you've got the lay of the land, some of the game materials that I found particularly interesting include:
the in-universe east germany expat usenet forum, with all content translated into english. most of it is irrelevant space filler with occasional extremely sus lore, but I still found it fun to read through. love to soak in some fictional forum drama.
chdb.xlsx, the spreadsheet of the names of all the children the protocol 'verse magnus institute was studying/experimenting on. EDIT: here is a version of the sheet without any annotations and with all of the names in their original order, kudos to @theboombutton for catching that the commonly shared copy had the order swapped around.
klaus.xls, a (very corrupted) spreadsheet with what looks like the classifications of a bunch of old OIAR cases.
EDIT: have a few more saved materials from the game that I forgot to include.
an in-universe audio ad to apply to the OIAR that ran before archives episodes and kicked off the whole game.
an in-universe video ad to apply to the OIAR, this one is an official upload that's still up from the game itself. you can subscribe to the OIAR's official youtube channel today, if you so chose.
the robo-voicemail greeting from the OIAR's phone line.
EDIT II:
here is a wayback machine capture of the OIAR's official website.
here is a wayback machine capture of the bonzoland website.
(pretty sure both of the above captures just archived the home pages, though I haven't tried clicking all of the links. I'd say they're still worth looking at, the home pages give a good window into the vibes.)
once you start poking around in these documents, you'll find a bunch of links to others with further information, the materials I've included here just contain what I feel to be the most relevant details to getting a broad feel for the whole game. once again, huge shout out to the statement remains server, I was barely in there as the ARG was in progress and only ducked my head in every so often to find links like these. true mvps of the fandom.

I just want to tell you this:
Thank You So, SO Much for informing people about the horrid Mr. Beast situation occurring within his Squid Game Beast Games.
I don’t think would’ve known about this awful and disgusting event occurring as much as I do now if you didn’t post about it on this blog.
Thank you.
I do think it isn't something that should be brushed under the rug, and I also feel that the more people know about it, the worse it becomes for Jimmy when the Beast Games show actually comes out.
One thing I forgot to include in the post is that the Las Vegas shoot is going to be uploaded on YouTube as an extended qualifier to the actual show on Amazon Prime.
It's worth noting that the contestants didn't know that until they arrived at the stadium. They'd been told that the Las Vegas shoot was the Amazon show, and there would only be 1,000 competitors (which is how it is marketed by Amazon). They only learned that the player-count had doubled and this wasn't going to be on Prime once they were on set, and were shown a video message from Jimmy saying he forgot to mention that actually there were 2,000 people and this wasn't the Amazon show (though MrBeast later claimed that this was always the intent).
I don't know when the video(s) will be uploaded, but I honestly can't wait because I'm dying to know how they're planning on editing the footage to cut out the horrors that took place during the challenges.
Like, how are they going to show the Red team losing the first challenge with the rope and pulley? On the one hand, surely they've got to show the 400 people who were eliminated in that challenge. But on the other hand... what exactly do they have to work with?
The production team refused the Red team's pleas to stop the challenge and demanded they keep going to the end, presumably because they needed them to do it for the sake of the video. Instead, anti-capitalist icons that they are, the entire team abandoned the challenge mid-way anyway so they could go help their teammates who were literally being strangled, throwing the game. And once they'd abandoned the rope, they never picked it up again.
Obviously, the producers can't show competitors being throttled. But that means that they also can't explain why the Reds lost the challenge. If the throttling happened toward the end, maybe they'll be fine, but if it happened closer to the middle, there's no way for them to explain why those 400 people just gave up so early.
It also presumably means any overhead shots of all the teams are ruined, because that would require them to explain why the Reds just aren't participating.
Maybe they could show the Reds giving up, but give a different reason. But no reason I can think of works. If they say they "tried their best but knew they couldn't win", they would then also have to answer the question of why the challenge was impossible for them - the reason being that their team of 400 consisted of about 380 women, while their opposing teams consisted almost entirely of the youngest and strongest male competitors.
And I'm not sure how they're going to explain that, because if they show the challenge of everyone going for coloured jerseys, they can't reveal why the teams ended up so unbalanced, as the actual reason is that the male contestants were hoarding jerseys and were physically violent against the female and elderly contestants, and organised themselves to guarantee they were all on the same team, resulting in a gender split.
I'm also not sure how they plan to edit around challenges like the briefcase game, where in the middle of the cramped field the male contestants were attacking and trampling the women. It's going to take a lot of editing to cut around that. And while they can edit out the injuries occurring they can't edit out the fact that by the end of the challenge there are suspiciously fewer female contestants remaining than there were to begin with.
Additionally, they're going to have to justify why the contestants started off so diverse in gender and age, only for the 1,000 who made it to the actual Amazon show predominantly being young and male, without it becoming clear that no one else had any chance. They can't introduce new contestants to re-diversify the cast, because 1,000 were promised by Amazon, 1,000 qualified, and people will complain if they try to fudge the numbers or cheat by introducing last-minute entries, which is especially bad now that he's currently under fire for allegedly faking and rigging competitions.
Jimmy also can't just not upload it at all, because then he'd have to explain that as well, and this is such a massive event people, both fans and detractors, are going to notice.
The more people know about it, the worse his situation becomes, because there's just no way out of it without inviting questions he doesn't want people to know the answers to.
While this is obviously too much to hope for in this timeline, in an ideal world enough people start talking about this that Amazon cancels his show due to the controversy - Jimmy has said Beast Games is intended to be his break into more traditional media, and I think it would be nice to shut that down.

Hi, I read through your faq and it clearly stated that you're against your work being uploaded on TikTok, but I just came across a channel that took your demon Bakugo comics and posted them with a really bad ai voiceover. Channel name is Muoi Comic (@muoi.comic).
I'm sorry, I wasn't sure if I should send this message or not since it's negative and I don't wanna make you uncomfortable, but this is something you deserve to know especially since the first video got up to 46.7 k likes and the channel didn't exactly credit you and actually kinda claims that it's their comic indirectly?
Apologies since I'm on mobile, but I searched up the name and not only did I get their tiktok, but a whole ass website??????
????
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THAT SUMMARY ISNT EVEN WHAT HAPPENS IN THE AU????
It's just??? Is this all AI scraped, reposted and it's stuff generated?
It looks like they've taken other people's mha art with those too on the same sites and did the same thing as well. That au isn't even supposed to be romantic it's qpp. What is going on
Edit: they also have a youtube channel where they put Ai generated voices over mha comics and are taking in money from advertisements as well. I suppose if you've made mha art with those two characters, check to see if your work got stolen

would the youtube essays of the demigods be more summary or analysis
messmer: for every three hours of analysis he has three hours of summarizing. but really, no one is listening for either. most of his audience learned about him through a podcast called "found a new guy." they delight in performing psychoanalysis on the various neuroses and sexual hang-ups that ooze through his bitter personality
godwyn: mostly summary, but it isn't on purpose since he doesn't really know the difference. there is no evidence that he owns a shirt
morgott: it's clear from his voice (he won't do a face reveal) that he finds it worthy of contempt that you even need the analysis explained. there's not really summary either, he just scolds you a lot
mohg: you're an hour into the video and somehow it feels like the intro is still going. surely the essay proper is about to arrive, any minute now,
radahn: it's really more like a blog where he meanders through what he did that day. he records them in his car; his sunglasses stay on the whole time. in "essay" #1,071 he casually revealed miquella has been in the passenger seat, just off-camera, every time
rykard: very well-edited essay, with only enough summary needed to understand his interesting ideas. however, it seems he brings up his opposition to circumcision whenever he can. he always pulls back on the verge of ranting, but it's clear this occupies a prominent recess in his brain
ranni: the analysis produced by her astute mind is far out of proportion to the limited production value. there are still 144p videos? it's really just some unrelated video game footage while she talks. if anything, some additional context to her thoughts would help. she has never responded to a single comment, and seemingly has no interaction with her audience
malenia and miquella: they started their joint channel together when they were teens. in the decades since, they have published exactly five videos. their essays often seem to be leading up to really thought-provoking analysis. however, the project evidently always spirals out of control and they just upload a "part one" setup to their grand conclusions. there is no "part two" to be found, and three of their five videos are updates on their "progress." on each one is a pinned comment from marika saying "can't wait!!! xoxo"

I've been thinking about the SSSniperwolf and Jacksfilms doxxing situation some more.
A lot of YouTubers who covered it said Jack went too far with how many videos he made parodying her content. Like?? That's the point. Sniperwolf does daily uploads of low effort reacts and Jack was copying that. Except he was showing how to make transformative reacts with things like Sniperwolf bingo. His channel JJJacksfilms is a direct parody of SSSniperwolf. Jack also never brought up Sniperwolf's past controversies or made things personal (Despite her being in an active lawsuit). He just focused critizing her reactions.
Also, SSSniperwolf was so dumb for escalating this to a crime. I don't even mean in the sense she was dumb for doing a crime, I mean in the sense she could have gotten out this react-gate pretty cleanly in the long run. These types of controversies have a life span for how long the public will support before they move on. If she just ignored Jack the momentum of his movement would eventually die out. She may take a few hits (apparently her views are going down) but she would not have been seriously effected in the long run. YouTube was probably never going to make big policy changes around react content. She could go back to doing her lazy reacts. Her doxxing Jack means this will follow her forever.
Now, I think the big reason why SSSniperwolf did escalate to doxxing is because Jacksfilms was effective. YouTube may not have been taking action, but small content creators were. In his recent videos more content creators were coming to him, asking him how to report their stolen content, and he walked them through it. Instead of letting her videos get claimed she edited the reported pieces out but this shortened her videos- making it so they don't qualify for ad revenue. I think this is what really got to her.
