So, yeah, as I understand it, other countries’ banking for regular individual people is a lot more electronic and automatic than what we have in the US, a lot more similar to investment banking. So this probably is a very American story.

But in this case the reason it was a paper check is it’s own little story. Among the papers I had to sign for closing was one where I had to give the issuing office the routing number for my bank account; I had the option to not fill this out and just get a paper check. But I filled it out, because electronic transfer IS easier and probably safer. The next morning, they called back to say that was the wrong routing number, my bank had separate routing numbers for direct deposit and wire transfers, and I’d given them the direct deposit number but they were doing a wire transfer. So could I call my bank and get that for them, and then call them back? The thing is, this phone call happened as I was getting in the car to go to work. Banking in America mostly has, like, European-style hours: it is never open at a time when you can deal with it if you have a job. And I was literally on my way to work so my time to deal with stuff in the morning before work had run out. And furthermore it was a Friday so putting it off for a day really meant putting it off for three days. So I sort of half-panicked and said, in that moment, you know what, you’re sending me all these docs anyway, why not just write the check and put it in the envelope with the docs, rather than me having to call the bank from work, in my cubicle where everyone could hear, and then call you back from work, in my cubicle where everyone could hear.

So that’s how it came to be a paper check.

This came up again in a completely different context a week later, I don’t even remember why, and I found out that the wire transfer number was actually written in small print below the direct deposit number, so all I would have had to do was log into my account from my phone and I could have found it on my own, and it would have taken under two minutes--a short enough time that I could have just stayed on the phone with the issuing office the whole time. Oh well, now I know.

FWIW, to deposit it, I did have to show government-issued photo ID. But, uh, if I’d had my atm card on me it’s possible I wouldn’t have had to.

(I just moved states. My ID situation and my banking situation are both a little messy. When I deposited the check, I tried to give my passport as my photo ID since it was the only valid one I had, got side-eyed, and so gave my no-longer-valid out-of-state driver’s license instead, which the teller felt was more acceptable even if it wasn’t valid. My valid driver’s license, for my new state, arrived in the mail a week later--the process of applying for it is what had invalidated my previous ID. But it takes two weeks to get the new one in the mail, and in the meantime I had a letter in my car saying that was in process, but it didn’t have a photo on it so it was a valid ID only in the specific case of getting pulled over by the police, not any other context in which one might need an ID.

And then the other thing you have to understand about America is we don’t have any national banks. When you move states you usually have to open an account in an entirely different bank. There are some banks that operate in many states--my previous bank operated in about 6 or 7 states, and my current bank operates in something like 40--and some banks are very local and only operate in one town, but there are no banks that are legally licensed to operate everywhere in the US. So I’d also very recently opened this account, and my atm card had arrived in the mail like the previous week but I hadn’t put it in my wallet yet.)

My check for the sale of my condo is in an "Amazon Hub". I have to sign in to a locker with my Amazon account to get it. Absolutely furious.

Last book you hated reading: a "Put your mind to it!" style book. It resonated with me for about 30 pages and then I reached the 42nd and nearly chucked the damn thing across the room. I tried picking it up again, and felt physically sick when trying to read on, soooo. Yeah, wish I could remember the title, but maybe forgetting it was for the best XD

Favourite thing to cook/bake: Burnt pancakes. They are easy, fast and delicious. Though I really really want to bake pies again. Apple pie is delicious and I KNOW that I could make bitching raspberry pie once I clean up the kitchen and look up the proper recepie for the crust.

Oh and garlic bread. Or honey bread. Bread in general is delicious and relaxing to make.

Favourite craft to do in your spare time: craft huh... It's been a while since I did any, but I suppose embroidery. It's very relaxing. Might actually search for some fabric now that I think of it.

Most niche dislike: Not sure what counts as niche tbh, but I do hate people quoting "Alas poor Yorick, I knew him well," in plays while holding a skull, ever since I've learned that was a different scene entirely AND YORICK DESERVES BETTER, DO NOT TAKE HIS HEAD OUT OF THE CONTEXT DAMMIT, I know it looks cool, I know it's become iconic now but it, is, wrong. Leave Yorick in the graveyard with Hamlet and the gravedigger conversing.

Opinion on circus(es) now and in history: Used to love them as a kid, I found it fascinating and horrifying when I learned how people with deformity or uncommon generic traits were treated and used as an attraction in freak shows. I haven't been to one in ages, and I am not sure if they are even still traveling around our parts, but the ones I've seen had horses, acrobats, clows, strongen and I think there was even one with a lion or a seal.

I do think that the traveling circus from my childhood won't be possible to experience as often, especially with the high expectations of modern audiences (and 'Rona of course). You can search up a contortionist online, and some people find this entertaining enough. Animal cruelty and protection laws mean that the animal attractions are no longer a selling point. I might have too little faith in other people, but I think stopping people from vlogging during the show would also be nearly impossible.

All in all, I adore the grim aestetic that their existence brought to the horror genre, and macabre sights and preservation of oddities, both animal and human, - this was one of the ways I discovered my fascination with grim things after all - but I am glad the inhumane parts of it have been stopped. It's one thing to show dead specimen, and another to torture a person or animal of any kind for amusement of "nomal people".

I don't know how the buisness is nowadays, but I would love to see more shows similar to Cirque du Soleil - even if on a smaller scale.

Do you have a sense of direction and if not what was the worst way you ever got lost: I usually use a GPS if I have to go anywhere, because I am an anxious wreck. But I can usually remember the path I took, so if I'm just wandering around I can easily retrace my steps. Just don't ask me what route I took by street names XD

School got me worn out so here's my team dynamic HCs

It's Kaeya, Xingqiu, Diluc, and Ayaka atm hngjfhgdjfg

Kaeya

This man is so tired, Archons please let him rest

Has to pick up his week's paperwork from Jean every Monday when we go to Mondstadt to buy food supplies and stuff before fighting Andrius, gets to work on it while Diluc and the Andrius team go at it

Actually is the person who keeps the whole party safe, has pulled Xingqiu away from ledges while he's reading more times than he can count, makes sure everyone has food at all times, and keeps the schedule in line

Has a flask of Death After Noon that he keeps on him, has to actively keep it away from Xingqiu because the kid's curious

He is so tired he is the reason the party only gets up to leave at like noon because he sleeps in

Thinks he's good enough at hiding his anxiety that no one else has noticed

He is not, they've all noticed him shaking visibly at high speeds in 90-degree weather and the kids will do their best to avoid fraying his nerves on a bad day

Very kind to Xingqiu and Ayaka, kinda like a cool uncle? Buys them things even though they can afford it

Kinda lets the kids do what they want and chat while he keeps them safe and the whole party on their way

Absolute tank, balances his skillset out so he can manage most threats alone, no one has to get hurt, they can just travel, it's fine it's fine

Pretends to casually bring up stuff the kids want to do (after meticulously making sure the party would be in the right place at the right time)

"Xingqiu, we have time to kill, care to show us to the Wanwen Bookhouse? We can see if they have the next issue in that book series you're always reading! :)"

"Ayaka, you wanted to try some Liyuen cuisine, didn't you? We have a dear friend who just so happens to be a chef at Wanmin Restaurant! And since we're in Liyue anyway, we should swing by, shouldn't we?"

He tries his best to find something Diluc wouldn't mind doing too! Usually, Diluc turns him down but Kaeya has scored on occasion!

"C'mon Diluc, you can't have lost all your taste for reading, right? I hear Inazuma has some interesting books nowadays, what with all the isolation..."

Basically, he just tries his best and is so tired please let him rest

Diluc

This man is angry all the time but he doesn't mean to be. He's just unnerved because he's basically back to hunting Fatui in other nations. He just isn't alone this time and the Fatui aren't the focus

He's so annoyed that they don't leave until Kaeya wakes up, actively in denial about the fact that he himself wakes up only an hour earlier and everyone else is waiting for much longer

Runs right into danger all the time please someone tell this man to calm down he is the reason they need so much food

Does and takes a whole lot of damage at the same time and it stresses Kaeya out so much

Was not Pleased to find out he'd be stuck traveling with Kaeya, puts up with it because he can't bring himself to turn down the Traveler's request. Because in his eyes they're just a kid trying to find their family and he really can't turn down their plea for help in

Gets along surprisingly well with Xingqiu, they both enjoy reading, and often recommend books to each other! Diluc has no idea Xingqiu wrote Legend of a Sword, but the only reason for that is that he literally forgot the book name

"Hmm... in Mondstadt we have this book, The Fox and the Dandelion Sea? For a traditional Mondstadt fairytale, it does remind me of Inazuma, funnily enough. There are versions of the book that are watered down for younger children, but if you have the time I'd recommend the full novelization."

"Tales From the Waves? No, I haven't read that. Is it good?" ... "A novelization of an old ship captain's life? That does sound interesting... I'll pick up a copy when I can"

Gets along well with Ayaka as well, they both appreciate the arts and such so they talk about that

"In Mondstadt we don't have nearly as many festivals as they do in Inazuma... but when we do they're quite the occasion, and very dear to people's hearts. There would be rioting in the streets if the Windblume Festival was postponed..."

"Oh Mond has its fair share of dance traditions, but they fell to be a staple of the Lawrence rule, so not many traditional dances remain... although if you wish to learn more about them you could ask Kaeya to introduce you to the Knight's Recconacance Captain. She doesn't like me very much"

Is the one person who actually doesn't realize that Kaeya is anxious All The Time, literally could watch him shake uncontrollably as Venti walks by and think it was his Vision acting up, he has all the pieces to put the puzzle together but has lost interest in it

Xingqiu

Top ten reasons the party gets sidetracked, number one: Xingqiu finding a book and getting so into it that he doesn't notice people

Actually besties with Ayaka he thinks she's really cool!

Top ten reasons why Kaeya actually gets to sleep as long as he does, number one: Xingqiu jumping up and yanking Diluc's hair when he tries to wake him up

"You're 22 you can go get breakfast by yourself, my leige"

Infodumps about his books to the whole party while they're eating dinner regardless of if they're listening or not (they are, they always are)

Pulls out relevant trivia out of nowhere?? Like they'll be stuck in some ruins and Xingqiu just

"Hey, you know this specific style of ruins are known to be built with metal hatches that always lead to escape routes :)"

Or like

"Oh yeah, the coloration in the animals is different here because the plants in Inazuma so often have purple and blue pigmentation, and Inazuma is so naturally isolated, that the animals adapted to get their pigments partially from the foliage!"

And no one knows how or why he knows this much but he Does??

Also, knows everyone's favorite bird for some reason and talks about them, why? Idk I think he'd like birds!!

"A peacock? Oh, I've never even seen one of those! I hear they're lovely, but a little noisy. Sometimes we get feathers imported for design reference at the Feyun Commerce Guild though!"

"Umbertail Falcon, right? Ohh I hear they can be very loyal, right? Ahh, so that's why yours flys down to check in on you? That's lovely! Owls? Oh yeah, those are cool birds, you know their feathers are fanned out just right so they're entirely silent while flying!"

"Herons? Oh yeah, that's what your title is, right? Graceful... I think they're more stealthy, very good at waiting to strike. That's how they hunt, you know? Just being patient and stealthy, then striking. That's also why they're so graceful standing there all the time!"

Bummed that he's the only person in the party without a bird as his constellation tbh, but he's alright with it because he's got books!!

Mentioned Albedo and Kaeya almost choked on his food, Xingqiu thought this was hilarious

Routinely plays pranks on Diluc and occasionally manages to pull a deez joke on Kaeya, leaves Ayaka alone with the pranks though because he knows she's new to all of this

Ayaka

Oh this poor girl, Lumine just dropped her off with Mondstadt's most dysfunctional siblings and a kid who reads at the speed of light and said have fun

Really gets along well with Xingqiu!! Having someone with a somewhat similar background is definitely a relief, especially because Kaeya and Diluc intimidate her, what with them arguing most of the time they interact

She recognizes the anxiety in Kaeya (because she also has it) so she's a little more comfortable approaching him because of that

She's happy to talk about Inazuma's ruins and is fascinated by Kaeya bringing up similar ruins in Mondstadt and Liyue

She really appreciates him remembering what she's interested in and making time in the day for it!

Diluc on the other hand?? She has... some idea how to talk to him? But?? He is either aggressive or glaring off into the distance at all times, and she's been around long enough to know that he doesn't mean to be like that but it's still unnerving to her

However, she Can talk to him! She is still a little confused because he constantly sounds so grumpy, but she's realized that he's actually really good at listening, and is absolutely willing to talk about Mondstadt traditions! Because she does really like to learn about other nations

Plus, she can go to Xingqiu to answer most of her questions!

"Xingqiu, I- I hope this isn't an odd question, but ah... how exactly do you get used to Kaeya and Diluc? I don't think I've quite figured it out yet..?"

"So in Liyue... the Merchant stalls are on the docks? Like Ritou but it's all on the docks? Interesting..."

"You're the second born of the Feyun Commerce Guild? Oh! Forgive me, I thought you were the eldest, my brother handles most international relations..."

It was really hard for her to adjust to the team, just because of how ragtag it is most of the time, but she's got it by now!

She actually kind of likes the scrappy chaos! She hasn't completely gotten used to it all but she finds it like kind of a break from having to uphold her image at all times

Turles and Lord Slug Team Up Pitch

Introduction

Hello guys, after watching MasakoX's What If Turles Turned Good parts 1 and 2 [which act more like an origin story for him within the frameworks of modern Dragon Ball similar to Super Broly] I thought I would share an old headcanon origin I had for another Dragon Ball Z movie Villain, Lord Slug and how it could make for an excellent part in this What If story that has captured my imagination. Also, it opens up a lot of potential avenues for ood DBZ storytelling.

I know he's considered one of the most uninteresting Villains in the franchise since he is essentially King Piccolo from space, but rushed in an hour long movie. Let's face it, a lot of DBZ villains aren't inherently interesting characters and usually are introduced as Pure Evil tropes

Irrelevant backstory

Third -Act Breakdowns (where they are faced with what they truly fear and usually fail)

Afterward, they could be open to becoming a more nuanced character to explore as we've seen done time and again with cast of redeemed or evolved villains in Dragon Ball

A lot of the movie villains from the franchise would be more interesting if they weren't rushed or were expanded on and boy does Lord Slug bring a lot to the table if he is expanded on.

1) You could have Turles and Lord Slug form a dynamic duo that counterparts Goku and Piccolo. Turles is a trouble-making youth-filled underdog who has taken a shine to the crabby old man that is Slug. Turles could use a lot more modern methods to contrast Slug's far more traditional warmongering that he's developed over the centuries. (They did it a little in Xenoverse 2, but you could really expand upon it in a MasakoX styled What If) Plus, the Tree of Might likely has the ability to restore Lord Slug's youth since it canonically resurrected fossils, so Turles literally has the solution to Lord Slug's main problem plaguing him and is an open-minded businessman by nature. This hypothetical team-up of working together to gain more power, invade planets for their resources and overthrow the Universal order by killing Frieza before returning to enemies, acts as an inverse counterpart of Goku's and Piccolo's initial alliance against the Saiyans invading the Earth interfering with Piccolo's own conquest, but opened the doors for change in him and others.

2) Most likely these 2 would start off as enemies and have their forces face off against one another, but this struggle is a good thing in the long run because they could potentially provide each other, their own personal Third Act Breakdowns or at least teach each other recognize their own flaws and weaknesses to help each other grow as characters.

Lord Slug's backstory, retooled

Planet Slug

The most fun thing I found was that they gave Turles a proper origin story to build a character around, well I have a suggestion for a similar concept for Lord Slug that I think you guys could use in many different ways, but before that. Here are the facts. In the backstory I found in supplemental materials, it is stated by Guru that Lord Slug and other Evil Namekians could have possibly escaped the crisis on Namek and moved to far-flung planets in other parts of the Universe. One Super Namekian named himself after the Demon inhabited world he found himself on, known as Planet Slug. And judging from the movie, Planet Slug is most likely an icy or snow-covered planet since the Demons needed special suits to withstand the Earth's temperature.

By the way, I imagine that Planet Slug and its people could have a Mongolian theme. (I have a sketch I did for an alternate costume for Slug, but I don't remember how to post atm)

If say Lord Slug came to this planet and eventually took it over in the King Piccolo style, then I could see him having birthed a clan of Evil Namekian children to help him in this endeavor. So let's say there are about as many Namekians children as Guru or King Piccolo birthed, then they are likely different clans of Namekians on the Planet, including a Dragon Clan member capable of creating their own set of Dragon Balls. In this way, Planet Slug could act as an alternate substitute for Planet Namek, but one closely resembling how the team initially pictured Namek as a planet full of evil Piccolos, instead of the peace-loving farmers of Namek. Now, why would Slug be in space expanding his Empire and searching for Dragon Balls when his planet likely already has a set? In the movie, it's best not to think about it, but here is my idea.

Why Lord Slug is REALLY in Space

One of Lord Slug's offspring usurped him from the throne due to his old age and sickly body. So Slug was humiliatingly forced to flee his home or was looked down on as a non-threat banished him and his most loyal men off-world to live in shame and to never be seen again. So he is conquering other planets, partly because he is a refugee, but mostly because he is overcompensating for his lost and trying to help his ego by living in denial and reassuring that He is the Baddest Baddie who ever lived and terrorize/kill those weaker than him as he ever expands his empire, lamenting his old age and sickened body. He believes that if he was in his prime, he could take his throne back no problem and make them all pay for wronging him. Luckily, Slug doesn't need the Dragon Balls to regain his youth. If the Tree of Might's Fruit is capable of reviving fossils, it should be able to restore the Super Namekian to his former glory once again.

Turles's Crusher Corps vs Lord Slug's Army

A fun way they could introduce the factions to each other is as competition for a lush planet. Turles wants it for the Tree of Might, and Slug wants to freeze it for them for their conquest. They both are in each other's way, so they all fight it out. I think Slug has stronger minions, but Crusher Corps have better teamwork, and with Turles being in prime fighting condition, he would tip the scale in their favor much like Goku did in the movie.

At first, I thought Slug wouldn't be much of a match for Turles in his old and sickly state, a little trouble sure since he is the strongest, but that aged body wouldn't do him any favors. However, the first Google search result I got on Old Slug's Power level said he was at 79,000 so he's stronger than I first thought. (I thought he was around Nail's power level roughly in the 40,000) I also heard that Turles was around 19,000 but by the end of the movie was like 300,000. These power levels don't mean too much when reimagining the stories, just that Turles might have more of an uphill struggle. So, Turles would first have to eat some Fruit to win in a landslide and hopefully, the Terrafreezing process didn't ruin the Tree of Might's process.

Right before the killing blow, Old Slug might've mentioned something In desperation to save his own life. He could've brought up the Dragon Balls on his home Planet Slug/ Namek could grant any wish he wanted. This is just enough to stop Turles from following through with his attack, but it takes a little more coaxing for Slug to sell the legitimacy to Turles. A part of Turles thinks this might just be hogwash, but if this is anything like the Tree of Might, this could be a huge find. Another game-changer. He has his men take Slug with them as he checks in with the Heaters' database and finds there could be a kernel of truth to this tall tale. So Turles generously spares the old Slug's life for this useful tip which is met with some impatient ire.

If you hate being old so much, why don't you just use these Dragon Balls of yours to make yourself young again? -Turles

I would if I could, but... but I can't. I've been banished from my homeworld by my own children after they usurped me from my throne.-Slug

hahaha So you're just some washed-up old geezer trying to feel tough by throwing your power around at a bunch of weaklings. -Turles

Watch it! If I was in my prime, I wouldn't have ever let that rebellion get that far and even made short work of you and your men. If it weren't for that Fruit of yours, you'd be nothing. -Slug

WHAT WAS THAT. (composes himself) Interested in the Fruit are you, well I am not naive enough to let you ever sink your rotten teeth in one. At least, not for free. We, the Crusher Corps, are branched off of the Heaters' group who are known to deal in intelligence. If you have some more valuable information to pass on then, I could be convinced to trade off a leftover Fruit from our latest venture. Do you have anything else to offer me, old man?

(Slug’s low growling sounds are giving Turles just the biggest shit-eating grin on his face)

Slug could tell Planet Slug's coordinates, could act as their guide, or how to use their Dragon Balls, or even that they need a native speaker to use them and a password.

Turles throws him a Fruit as he is a businessman and honors his deals. This not only works in reviving the Elder Namekian, but the results are far better than expected by restoring Slug to his prime. Turles is both impressed and a little unnerved by this so he opens up a dialogue as he scans Lord Slug's new power. (he thought it would add a few decades back onto his old life since he seemed ancient, but it straight up made him young again) They discuss what had just happened and Turles's operation using the Tree of Might's Fruit to amass enough power for him and his men to kill Frieza and possibly overthrow him. Lord Slug in the meantime has been enjoying his youthful appearance and renewed vigor during the conversation, not looking Turles in the eye, but still expressing interest in this operation and compliments the plan. Turles offers a proposition to Lord Slug to join them on this endeavor if he helps them get those "Dragon Balls" he mentioned right before.

That's right. You're interested in the Dragon Balls, are you? Well, I am interested in that Tree of yours. It could keep someone young and strong forever, and this whole operation of yours is simply remarkable! -Slug

So you're in? -Turles

Remarkable enough for me to take it for myself! So I'll be doing just that! - Slug

Round 2 Super Namekian Rampages

The Super Namek overwhelms all of them, even Turles, after just eating a bunch of fruit, the gap is just too wide. He sadistically tortures them and strikes fear into their hearts. Turles isn't just put on the backfoot, he ends up on the brink of life and death. He needs to reach down deep, and something in him snaps, could be his Saiyan pride, could be becoming helpless and at someone else's mercy, could even be one of his men, that unbeknownst to himself, he had grown fond of perished, his regret for overly relying on outside gains to accomplish his ambitions. Don't know, don't care, but something doesn't sit right with Turles and this something acts as the catalyst for him to transform, but not into the traditional Super Saiyan we've all come to know. No, Turles goes into the False Super Saiyan state and overwhelms the Super Namek almost beat for beat like FSSJ Goku vs Slug from the movie, but this time, it lasts the duration of the fight. It's more of a SSJ Goku vs Frieza kind of fight with Turles's victory.

Turles diet of Tree of Might fruit has affected his body's genes and so when he transforms it's not the traditional SSJ form like everyone else, but the False Super Saiyan state that Goku used against Lord Slug. (The Saiyan loses their pupils and also uses SSJ's original color scheme with the flickering red and black hair and the orange skin with a lingering Aura effect) They could have a lot of fun with the benefits and drawbacks this form and its potential evolutions could have. False SSJ potentially falls into the theme of using Fruit as a shortcut to power vs earning the power legitimately or as a simple means to contrast with Goku.

Post Fight ~ Alliance?

Slug doesn't die though, or if he does, Turles is smart enough to revive him with the Tree of Might's extract in a similar way as the fossilized twins were. The reason is simple, Turles believes that Slug's knowledge of his people is going to be essential in the nearby future, and since he's shown whose boss by dominating the Super Namekian, they can now work together to overthrow stronger enemies like Frieza by using his Planet's Dragon Balls. The Crusher Corps gets a guide and an ally; Slug gets his revenge and the prospect of taking Frieza's empire for himself by joining this operation is too much for him to pass up. This is a temporary truce to defeat stronger opponents and gain power, but once that is over, they are going back to killing one another similar to how Goku and Piccolo formed an alliance against the Saiyans invading earth.

1) A Super Namekian could exploit their race's fusion ability through some method of Mind Control like in the original Broly movie. So Slug or his evil offspring could literally absorb one another or even someone as powerful as Nail or Piccolo if the influence is strong enough to join together. And Turles with the Heaters' resources might just be able to provide a means to provide Slug this, with some precautions of course.

2) Slug might have knowledge of Kai and Demon Realms considering he is both an older Namekian like Guru, and the fact that he Planet Slug is literally inhabited by Demons, a different breed of Demons, but still Demons nonetheless. In the games, the Tree of Might's Fruit had its effects amplified in the Demon Realm, but the same might be said if the Tree is planted on the World of the Supreme Kais or Beerus' planet. It's just a possible option for later down the line, but if there was ever a planet that could sustain that Tree and boosts its effects it would be one of these places.

This is it, I know MasakoX likes to do the space opera thing with multiple factions and also like to mix things up from the original story from time to time, so I thought Planet Slug would be an interesting means to do so and giving Turles a partner to bounce off of is typical Toriyama writing, could even open up new avenues to explore.

Am I expecting this to happen. Honestly, I have low expectations MasakoX and his team would do this and they got their own plans of inserting Turles into the main story likely connected to the character in the hood (who is probably Zamasu for some reason like in the Gero What If) or one of the Saiyans from Turles' team or even eager to get him into the main story with the Z-Cast, possibly trying to win Gohan to his side, but getting converted by him like what happened to Piccolo, but I don't mind. My expectations are low, but my hype is through the roof, and needed to share my fan theories with someone.

heyy!! i really like your work and think you're SUPER MEGA cool, and hope you get REALLY good at animating!! drawing is the first step, so making it move is the next haha. (once i save enough for a tablet i'll practice a lot!!) but i have a question: how do you improve as an artist? do you actively seek out critique or does it come with time and sub-conscious decisions to not do the bad thing anymore? what did you do? love you, keep fredding on!! ----some stupid idiot who wants to be anonymous

also ive been an animation student for 5 years now so i know a little bit but probably, less than i should.....i do Not practise enough

as for tips! let me try and compile a short list of things that help me!

• u hear it all the time but its true-practise practise practise!!! sketchbooks, digital, whatever strikes ur fancy. practising is the MOST important thing u can do

• understand and research the basics. you dont need to be an expert on anything, god knows im not, but its good to know a bit! this includes but isnt limited to:

colour theory! why colours go together, what colour schemes look good, etc. heres some basics on it! personally

[i also find symbolism of colour just as important. obviously symbolism varies from person to person and culture! but heres a quick guide on the usual symbolism of colour. if something sounds wrong to you though, mess with it yourself!]

tthe form of subjects-this means drawing basic shapes, and using them to construct [basically] anything! the idea is its much easier to draw and move around a series of cubes and cylinders, than a whole human body. heres a guide on how form works.

draw a box is a challenge recommended to me by my lecturer for improving on drawing shapes and forms! i highly recommend it!

value and lighting are important! heres an explanation on value. im not sure much can be done to cheat lighting and value, except for master studies (we’ll get to that shortly!) and observation.

the most useful tip on value ive learned, is to turn your art black and white, and see if it all has enough contrast without colour. if not, time to work on the values!

composition, babey. how subjects are arranged in a piece. heres a bunch of stuff on it [im still learning this one...rule of thirds i will Die for tho]

anatomy! this is the hardest shit. i still dont get it. my lecturers recommend andy loomis [heres a pdf of his figure drawing book] idt his way was quite up my alley, but u never know!

• speaking of anatomy-life drawing is an INCREDIBLY useful reference. so goddamn useful, u dont even know. they help u figure out anatomy! this includes gesture studies, and more detailed things. i recommend googling how a typical life drawing class goes down/tips for it

life drawing classes are very difficult to access atm, so here are a couple of online resources! [all of these will obv contain nude bodies]

croquis cafe-contains free videos that simulate a life drawing class! videos are more useful than images. has a variety of ethnicities and body types, which is wonderful!

line of action- a site with a variety of images on figure drawing, animal drawing, as well as hands & feet, expression/face focus, and environmental things. you can set it to play as a slideshow for as long as u like, or set it up to be similar in timing to a real life drawing class

online stock photo artists such as senshistock, who has compiled a useful little list of similar accounts over here!

• reference reference reference!! references are so incredibly useful, and anyone who tells you using a reference is cheating is wrong on every conceivable level. reference from photos, from movies, from videos, everything.

something ive had to do in every level of art education is recreations and master studies.

this means collecting artists work from professionals-be it historic painters, movie screenshots, concept artists, anything!

it makes you focus on their compositions, how the lighting works, the colours used, pretty much everything.

this is useful bc it can 1: get you out of your comfort zone and 2: make you use new techniques you might never have considered

online tools such as designdoll and justsketchme have poseable models for you to pose as you please and reference from! suuuuper useful, especially for perspective poses.

• experimentation! fuck around. use brushes youve never used before, try a new medium, collect every free sample from the craft store and just Do Shit with it.

• absorb every goddamn piece of art u have ever come across, and save what you enjoy.

and i mean save everything you enjoy. u like a movies lighting? a certain shot? an outfit? a random piece of fanart u came across? save it! look at it, figure out what it is u like

make a private pinterest board or a folder on ur computer, save everything.

absorb and yank bits from art u enjoy. obviously dont imitate someones entire style, but if u like the way someone draws hands, or noses, or eyes, reference it. recreate it. see what u like, and incorporate it into ur own art

art is a big mess of taking things u like and making it ur own

• study professionals! animations, artists, illustrators. they know what they’re doing.

heres a useful resource with a lot of rare concept art from animated movies! i go here a lot.

buy art books, or acquire pdfs of them, im not a cop, i dont care

• as for critique, i do look for critique, and pay attention to it, but it’s important to know not to take it personally. and i recommend asking people whos opinions you value!

HOW DO YOU USUALLY PLOT WITH OTHERS, DO YOU GIVE INPUT OR LEAVE MOST WORK TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER?: i try to map out some basic info abt their characters that i otherwise don’t know from their bio or verses and try to pick out points of confrontation or similarities to expand on with giselle that can be used as points for like a starter to happen. its either that or sometimes i have really stupid ideas i just toss out there like ‘LMAO THEYRE BREAKING SHIT AT DISNEYLAND’ and go buck wild from there if the other person is down. i also always try to warn people or get a gauge for what subjects to avoid and steer clear of considering that giselle is a bit of a Freak(tm) and will say and do bad things.

Can look unintentionally terrifying and does not understand she can be scary. She knows her smile can cause reactions (from her mom’s cooing and a barrage of kisses on her rounds cheeks to making people ‘jump’ (if she does a narrow smile like Jade’s or Floyd’s might scare the shit out of adults and children)). PERSONALITY:

Largely a talkative child, with the support of her mother and her sisters as they are receptive and converse whenever something is on Emery’s mind. By ‘talkative,’ she is one who is in constant thought and with high curiosity. It doesn’t mean she outright talks to strangers who pass by her or may even make eye contact with her.

Blunt without recognizing negative connotations or thoughts. She will speak what is on her mind, which aren’t properly thought through in terms of socialization (not that she cares for that at her age). It follows the same vein as a certain eel, except without the patronizing tone. IE: “Do not run. You’re slow.” / "I’m fast to catch everyone. That’s easy.”

Is to an extent clingy to her mother and aunts. She is known to hold onto her mom’s legs or hide underneath her mother’s long skirts whenever she’s talking. Very upfront in greeting those who she knows are close and tries to be polite. (Mostly, this is her trying to mimic how Sophie speaks but it’s WAAAY too dense for Emery sometimes). Though, she likes attention. She hasn’t put two-and-two together, but she knows her mom ‘follows’ her whenever she runs. So, Emery is more committed to running around with her human mother chasing after her and telling her to wait.

As the last point denotes, she’s pretty perceptive to the people around her and reading them. She’s quick to know that x will get her y. Though, she doesn’t have complex thoughts down at her age yet. She will ask a sleuth of questions which may not have answers for -- but she is one to impose and seek. It’s her way of ‘reading’ the room.

Ecstatic to learn and being hands-on in things. Always behind with her mom to help her out in the kitchen or the hat shop (mainly, taking ribbons) and always tries to peek at the table and countertop. Additionally, she is one that would go out to try to help others -- if not, tell them that her mom can fix anything and lead them to her (explained in personal headcanons).

Emery still gets outright overwhelmed and restless at her age, when it comes to roadblocks and rejection -- especially by peers. She has a big threshold (if not tolerance) for what she takes and usually reciprocates a smile, before going completely quiet. This is where she’ll go into hiding or finds her high energy leaving her fitful and bothered.

SPECIAL TALENTS:

SHIFTER - As half-person and half-merperson, and given her parents’ magical prowl, Emery has the gift of being able to shift between these forms. Being raised on the land, she has defaulted to her two-legs. However, she will be able to morph into her mer-form, which is remarkably similar to her father’s (smaller, with numerous silver spots, and frills). She needs to train herself, but at her age, it will come fairly easily. She needs to be thoroughly dried and taken to a side by the water to help her shift back to her human form (which her mom takes well care of). Emery, however, is not aware of this ability or her heritage.

HIDE-AND-SEEK CHAMPION - Known to hide in almost any place that she can find, Emery is known by the local children to be practically undetectable when it comes to her hiding spots and when she changes spots. This power is two-fold. She is an exceptional, if not terrifying, seeker. She can’t put her finger on it, but she finds them easily (through smell) and slowly walks over to the other children, patting them, which sends them in a jolt, if not, screaming from terror. However, this talent also comes into play when she feels restless and uncertain, as she’ll go and hide somewhere cramped and dark for comfort. Her mother is able to find her all the time, when at home. There was a point that newborn Emery would only calm down if Sophie made it dark enough and made the right arrangements (use a small carrier, partially covering the crib with a blanket, etc). It is near impossible to draw her out unless it is her mother, sisters, and family friends (or her few close friends).

DURABILITY AND ENHANCED STRENGTH AND SENSES - Comes from merperson heritage. The primary example is her baby teeth that are notably sharp (and will get sharper once her baby teeth fall out) and can draw blood without much effort. Though, she is very careful about this. Another example would be her reaction to pain -- like how she may run into a door or glass with a terribly loud thud and she’d step back, blink, laugh, and continue running after a friend. She isn’t invincible and she can get hurt, but she is definitely more resilient from human children. Can she break bones? Yes! She isn’t yet at that point, however, as she is literally a kid.

INCLUDED: Love for music and rhythm, collect-and-gathering trinkets.

WHO THEY LIKE BETTER:

Given circumstances (refer to #1 personal headcanon), Emery prefers her mom. Though, if she wants to budge her mom or wants something her way, she’ll easily wiggle to bug her aunt Martha, Sophie’s youngest sister, to (try) and get it. Genuinely, there are times where Emery will prefer her aunts over her mom, if not because the three of them group together and indirectly bully Sophie into doing something for their niece.

WHO THEY TAKE AFTER MORE:

Physically, it is undeniable that she takes after Jade more. Blame the dominant genes on his end, but the gold tinge in her eyes, teal hairs, and sharp teeth are the biggest indications of this. I would also extend the thought that she takes on more Jade than one may realize -- if only because her own interactions aren’t as maliciously calculating as her father’s. There are core traits that blend in with Sophie’s, where the edge is there with an unhealthy amount of energy that needs to be burnt off.

PERSONAL HEADCANONS:

Emery is the unexpected product of Jade and Sophie’s relationship when it was coming to a close. Their relationship ended as soon as they departed from NCR, unsure really what to make of another (as in, be it if they could be long-term partners or they needed to seek out others). They were intimate, friendly, perhaps confidants. But, without a proper title, it was better to depart from their teenage dreams before it spiraled out of control. The discovery was never disclosed. Sophie realized what was going on and refused to reach out. To interfere with what they agreed with - that chapter was over, he went else and so did she. Did she regret agreeing to part ways? Yes, but who’d be that selfish to drag him back? For all she knew, he found better somewhere in the wide world -- maybe even a mate too, which would make this situation extremely problematic. In this situation, Emery is raised by her single mother and is unaware of her father and likewise, her father is completely unaware of her.

Emery’s concept of destruction and fixing all revolves around her mother. She has a long history of destroying the toys that Sophie has made for her (one of the closest ones being a large purple patchwork bear). But, any time something the stuffing is coming out or the bear is losing an eye, she happily walks over to her mother and Sophie fixes it. She doesn’t quite get there is a point of no-return for certain damages, but she is more than content that with this logic, her mom can fix anything. Hence why she’ll instruct people who ask her questions she doesn’t know (or if they’re upset) to “speak to mama!”

Lots of moray eel behaviors that she performs. A couple of them were mentioned before. But, I have more. One of them happens to be how she interacts with blankets and trying to fall asleep, She ends up rolling around it, wiggling a little helplessly, before laughing and rolling around with it on the mattress. She also does it because she’s a little too excited to go to bed with her mom (both have shared the same mattress)!

Lettie and Martha’s MagiCam accounts, as Sophie either doesn’t have one (or recently made one post-NCR which is private), have some photos and videos of their lovely niece! She happens to pop into photos per accident, only because she’s wondering why her aunts are attempting ten poses and she thinks they’re trying to dance. A fun game that Martha plays with her follows is ‘spot the emmy’ (’emmy’ is her nickname from the hatter trio / sophie specifically calls emery ‘eri’ (pronounced like ending of emery) or tulip/tuli) where a large background photo is available and people have to guess where emery is hiding (in plain sight)! It’s quite popular! There’s also videos of Sophie and Emery interacting, which shows some parts of their personal life. For example, one would be where Sophie squats down tp Emery’s level and ‘blep’ her tongue/stick out her tongue, which Emery does in turn. The ‘bleping’ is something Emery already does.

platform for joy

What is happiness?

It can be defined in a variety of ways but we defined two; the first of which is that of a transient emotion, one that comes and goes due to successes and failures, or experiences. The second is the idea of a ‘happy life’, flourishing over time.

Aristotle defined ‘Eudaemonia’, a class of happiness that comes from a life of virtue and meaning, as opposed to pleasure. His theory is that eudaemonia should be our ultimate aim, and that pleasure and happiness are not the same.

When listing things that make us happy, we have a tendency to list material needs before others. There is proof that once we have achieved financial stability, money actually causes us increasingly less happiness: in fact, the more money we earn, the unhappier we get. Others may refer to an easy life, one with no challenges, but there’s no proof that this causes happiness either. Challenges enrich us and give us new experiences, ones we don’t earn if we never push ourselves above our limits. There are many surprising factors that we might think are great for us but aren't: plenty of choice (too much can cause decision fatigue, leaving us with no ability to make choices), efficiency (for example, ATMs instead of bank lines, leaving us with less human interaction) and hedonism (the pursuit of pleasure can actually lead to feelings of emptiness and lack of meaning).

The things that actually lead to happiness are far more simple. Examples of this include having shelter, good health and positive interactions with others. Another example is overcoming challenges which leads to an intrinsic feeling of reward, as opposed to receiving rewards from others. External rewards like grades might cause short-term happiness but the effect rarely lasts long.

Social connection is incredibly important in the pursuit of happiness. Epley and Schroeder (2014) found that passengers who interacted with other passengers, on a morning rush hour train, improved their wellbeing and the wellbeing of those they spoke to. Loneliness is proven to decrease cognitive function, mood and even immunity; people who are lonely are more likely to catch the common cold, for example.

In addition, our physical environment also affects happiness - where do we feel good? Often, it is by the sea, outdoors, away from civilisation. It’s proven that cities drain us: city dwellers suffer anxiety and psychological disorders at a much higher rate. Urban pollution affects our health and, in turn, our wellbeing. Plus, having discussed how more money can make us less happy, it’s often the case that people move to bigger cities for better jobs with better pay. Being away from this environment is proven to be better for us, both physically and psychologically. We are much happier around people we love, doing things we enjoy - especially in places we can work on and better ourselves.

Physical environment also ties in to physical needs. As people, we need specific things to thrive: good diet, proper hydration, exercise, enough sunlight and at least eight to eight and a half hours of sleep. It’s very common that most of us don't do many of these; in fact, we have become used to being tired or having a poor diet and instead normalise it. As a society, being exhausted is very normalised, and we often use it to mean we’ve worked harder or achieved more, but this has a very negative effect on our happiness. Exercise not only makes us physically healthier but also psychologically; it offers both external and internal rewards. It’s been proven that we need at least half an hour of sunlight every day, even if it’s not direct, boiling hot sunlight - just being outdoors when it’s daylight is enough, especially on our faces and arms. Even sitting indoors with the curtains open instead of the artificial lights on can have an effect.

I found this lecture very interesting indeed. It confirmed a lot I already suspected, but it was great to hear Gareth’s thoughts on each matter. It also reinforced for me things I was letting slip; my eight hours of sleep a night, as well as the fact that I stand on the train platform with my headphones on and avoid interacting with strangers.

Research

As soon as we came out of the lecture and exchanged details, I set up a Google Doc to keep track of any research I came across and shared it with my group. The document can be found here! I compiled research on the importance of human interaction, research on happiness itself and how to be happier, and eventually once we’d come up with some ideas I did some research on the type of project we were considering. There are links to articles and YouTube videos that I found helpful and interesting, or took inspiration from. The ideas that we did come up with are also listed on the doc.

Although it was a document I shared with the group I was the only one to contribute to it until very late, so all but one piece is my personal research.

Group Work

Before the university shut, and when we were still working as a group, we met up a few times and made as much progress as possible with the mind map. For our early meetings not everyone was present, but we each made contributions over time. We tried to include as much research as possible but we didn't manage to complete it entirely, and as we went into lockdown after one of our meetings it is still locked away in our university studio!

Unfortunately this picture was an early one, and we never got a chance to take a picture of it as we left it. Because of the lack of progress in the picture above I decided to complete a mind map of my own at home. The one below is my personal one. One of the pieces of research - the one in the top right concerning the psychology of colour - was Chloe’s research, shared in the group Google Doc, but the rest was my own.

The Pitches

We came up with a couple of ideas to pitch to our peers before we converted to working individually. Of course, this didn't end up happening, but we decided to all use the ideas on our own blogs, as we came up with them together in our meetings.

The first idea involved games, and partaking in a game with a stranger on the train platform. Lots of my research places huge importance on social interaction, especially with strangers. Epley and Schroeder’s famous study is named ‘The surprising benefits of talking to strangers’, and details how people that interacted with strangers in the morning found it had a positive effect on the rest of their day. We tried to incorporate this concept into our research.

We had a couple of doubts about it, however, that steered us away from this concept. First of all, perhaps people that are more introverted and shy wouldn’t take part in this idea. From personal experience, commuting to university multiple times a week, I know that most people on train platforms in the morning barely look at one another, let alone play a game with them. This was a factor in Epley and Schroeder’s research, as they said even introverts found there were positive benefits in talking to strangers. However, it’s entirely possible this introversion would mean people shy away from taking part.

Another thing that we discussed re: this idea was that we weren't sure that competitiveness should play a part in it. Many people are competitive and receive joy from winning and/or taking part in a game, but others aren't, and would avoid competition. We also weren’t sure whether losing a game would cause positive social interaction, as even though the people playing have interacted, the fact one lost may not cause the positive benefits described in Epley and Schroeder's research.

This second idea began from one of Kim’s suggestions and grew from there. He proposed a kind of interactive fountain that recognised movement, and your body movements changed the colours projected onto or lighting up the water. I tried to research into something similar, and although there was nothing quite like it, I found YouTube videos of other interactive sculptures and installations.

I also really love this one by FLUIDIC called Sculpture in Motion, a temporary exhibit for the New Design Museum in Milan. Although there’s a kind of magic captured in this exhibit, the real benefits come from its size and the lights in a dark room. I think this would be difficult to capture on a platform.

This one called River of Grass: Virtual Reality by Formula D Interactive is a tunnel exhibit mimicking the Everglades and its wildlife, using cameras and projectors to do so. I preferred this idea because it’s easy to personalise and is informative as well as interactive.

There are quite a few benefits to this idea. As a group, we liked how it could be individual. It combines a few of the aesthetics of joy: play, for sure, and others like surprise, harmony, energy and transcendence. Something unusual at the beginning of the day can surprise you into being happy for the rest of it.

The Project

The River of Grass: Virtual Reality exhibit is based around the wildlife in the Everglades in Florida. I thought this would be easy to emulate in an exhibit of my own in Derbyshire, seeing as Derbyshire and the Peak District is well-known for its wildlife. Below is a list of iconic Derbyshire wildlife, all of which were visually appealing and I hoped I could include in the project. I found and listed these from the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Explorer, which will be relevant later!

The Everglades exhibit is aimed at children, but most of the people on a platform in the week are much older, usually adults commuting to work and students commuting to various places of education. I didn’t want the exhibit to be too childish, so using a more mature and illustrative art style helps this.

In our happiness talk, it was said that one of the big factors affecting our happiness is our physical environment. Access to nature and the great outdoors has a huge impact on our mental health and physical wellbeing, and tying this into my project could have an impact too. Being inside but having a projection that brings the outside to you could bring joy and improve the mental health of those walking through it in the station.

Derby Midland Station, like many train stations, has a long tunnel-like passage connecting the platforms together. This is the perfect area for an exhibit like this one, as it creates an enclosed space, where it’s possible to project images onto the walls and floor and create an immersive experience.

I have illustrated some of the animals included in the exhibit, as it’s not possible to see them up-close on the above picture. The idea is that they are visible on the projections, and some are easy to catch in passing (like the Chinese water deer) whereas others take more attention (such as the Hazel dormouse). This makes the exhibit not only something to look about, but also something that takes time to search through. It lends itself well to stations as many people, such as commuters, have little time to stand and search through the exhibit so will catch the larger, more obvious animals. Other passengers that have more time on their hands, ones waiting around for trains, can lend more time to looking.

Ideally, the projection would use sensors to add interactive elements to the exhibit, such as the grass moving as you walk through it, or a bird flies away or a mouse hides if you put your hand near it. This makes it a more active exhibit that creates entertainment through involvement, not just through aesthetics.

If I were an animator, or we were still working in a group and I had an animator working alongside me, I would include gifs as an example of how the animals might move. Unfortunately, if I tried to include them here, this blog would be uploaded in a year or so - my animation skills are not quite up to scratch!

So the exhibit is not just something to look at, I thought it would be useful to also make it a learning experience. Each animal on the projection is projected alongside a QR code, and a scan of the QR code sends the person scanning to a web page. I thought that it would be great to have the exhibit as a sort of collaboration between Derby Midland Station and the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, who have lots of information available on their website.

Learning has a big impact on our happiness. We are happier when challenging ourselves internally and learning new things. Making it quick and easy to learn something new, even if it’s as you walk through the station on your morning commute, can promote mental stimulation and therefore happiness and joy.

Including this QR code and link not only provides a learning element to the project but can also link in very useful conservation projects. Sending viewers to the Wildlife Trust page, one that relates to the animal they see before them, could aid in raising awareness for vulnerable species.

On the Birds of Conservation Concern 4 (BoCC4) list by the British Trust for Ornithology, the Yellowhammer is included in the red section. Any bird on the red list is increasingly at risk and has shown massive declines in breeding populations. Most Derbyshire Wildlife Trust pages include the conservation status of the page’s subject, and further down has a section on “How people can help”, often with suggestions to join your local wildlife trust. Although many of these pages aren't fully complete with information on how to help from home, a possible partnership with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust could encourage them to update the specific pages included in the exhibit with further information.

At the very least, including endangered or at risk animals and insects alongside more common, well-known Derbyshire wildlife would raise awareness for conservation efforts and give people access to more information about them.

Although not included in our happiness talk, those that volunteer or give to charity are happier (Patrick Svedin, Utah State University). If you give to charity through your own free will it contributes more to your lasting happiness than if you treat yourself with the same money, which provides momentary happiness that doesn't last as long. Learning more about the animals included in the exhibit means those that read the webpages have the knowledge to help local wildlife and, if they want to, the opportunity to donate to or become a member of the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

So...

Platform for Joy was a weird project for me - and I think probably for many others too. I started off with a group, expecting a project carried out among multiple people, with a shared workload and shared ideas.

The change to individual instead of group work was quite smooth as I had completed most of the research I used by myself already. There are certainly ways that the project could have been elevated by group work, as people in groups have skills I do not (such as animation).

For the most part, I liked this project. I think it was fun to take a brief and carry it out like there was a possibility it might happen in real life. I think I came to a good conclusion and came up with a good project.

It was interesting to approach this from a place of mental health and happiness, and then tie in themes of my own like education and conservation. Anything in a train station will be seen by hundreds, if not thousands of people whilst it stands and as a result has the opportunity to educate and touch the lives of many. It would be foolish not to take advantage of this audience in order to spread a positive message.

Platform for Joy also gave me an insight into working as a group, however briefly, which was enlightening. I’ve often considered working in a studio after university and working alongside others to create outcomes. This project created an opportunity to experience that, even if I didn’t meet everyone in my group until much later!

It’s always helpful as a creative to work a brief from beginning to end, no matter what it is. Whether it be a practice brief or a real one, the process of researching, brainstorming ideas, creating mind-maps and finishing the project is very useful to work through. It lends experiences that are not unlike those I will be doing later in life, in my career as a creative, and of course it’s always a good idea to get as much experience as possible.

G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

Usually I write an outline first (bullet points or just badly written sentences, no dialogue), then try to do it start to finish but when I'm stuck at one part I just skip it and write another first- although usually I have enough wips at the same time that I just go to another one if that happens, so the fics are still mostly written start to finish

H: How would you describe your style?

I would love to know that! Do I have one? XD I feel like it adapts a lot to whatever book or fanfic I've read before. Some of my fics are dialogue-heavy, very real-time, some focus on inner monologue, some describe a lot, sometimes I stick to one POV sometimes I don't... All very feelings based without too much plot but that's just most of fanfic as a genre I think.

K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

Not a fanfic but I remember years ago writing an original short-story about a woman killing a girl in a carcrash, then getting pregnant and the girl's mother is the nurse or sth and aborts her foetus without consent so they're 'even' (I'm vry pro-choice, there was just def no choice involved in that story)... Idk what my brain was thinking. Nothing good.

So that's the only creepy thing I've actually written down, but I just noticed it says 'come up with' instead of written, so- uuuuh a lot. I have this gigantic headcanon-crossover-multiverse, I've recently started actually writing some fics for it on ao3, but nothing too angsty- although one angsty af thing that I've started writing is that one entire universe just shattered (too much time travel, it's a long story), leaving everyone in it not just dead but never existing, even the plane of death of that universe is gone. The only survivor is one little girl who was in a different universe at the time, now she lives in a world where her family still kind-of exists, and there's another little girl very similar to herself..... I have some ideas to make it more angsty and give it some coraline vibes but I think I'll stick to mostly hurt/comfort for what I'm writing atm. I have loads more angsty ideas so do let me know if anyone wants to read those, but for now imma stop spamming!

M: Got anything on the back burner that you’d care to share?

That entire headcanon verse I already talked about... (lucyverse/lverse after a former main character in it) There's a lot of Harry Potter, twilight (I was 11 ok? Also by now everything and everyone there is too ooc to be recognized as twilight anyways), Lord of the Rings, Marvel, doctor who, star trek,... And everything is queer in some way <3

Apart from that some not fanfic stories that idk yet whether I'll fanfic-ify them and post them on ao3, mostly one about an underground society split into basically the bad guys ™ who want to see the planet burn and everyone die with loads of kinda brainwashed soldiers and their own mash-up language bc they never stay in one place for long, good guys (or that's what they think they are) who basically try to save civilians but often die in the process & recruit a lot of these civilians for their own purposes... And during the story two more groups develop, the Revenge and the Silver, basically the ones that just kill for personal reasons and the ones that don't just use defensive tactics anymore. Also featuring: technology to look like other people, so civilians that join a group to fight can seem to stick around when really someone like an analyst takes their place, also good to stay close to everyone's resources; a lot of sci-fi treehouse, underground or under-snow bases and transportation systems; traitors, double-agents, friendship, love-stories, loss and a lot of confusion.

I also have some more ideas for my 666 Good Omens series on ao3! And of course more Podfics coming up :)

Woo I love an excuse to ramble about writing, I’ll try put it under a cut since I know I go on 😅

7. Which character that you’ve written is most like yourself?

Maybe Knotty? (Though I haven’t written much of him yet.) Anxious and panics quite a lot lol, keen to make his friends happy, plus I always write him as ace like me! Also, I’m not really like Mal at all, but I usually end up using a lot of my experiences when writing him (lots of stuff he does in Roses is based on real life) so I guess he ends up more similar to me than normal.

8. Which character is your favorite to write? Why?

Despite I’m pretty sure most of my fics being about him, Mal does my head in (please I’m begging do at least one of the things I want you to!) I haven’t got anything from her POV yet but I have a lot of fun with Eliza, she speaks kind of distinctly and I like balancing how gruff but also kind she is. And I’m really enjoying writing Will again atm! After 10+k feels like I’m getting a handle on him and it’s loads of fun :) He hardly ever says what he means and everything is an act and he’s such a mess but I end up with these long flowing sections of panic or wonder I really like, interspaced with plenty of ‘oh shit’ moments. Him and Eliza is the most fun actually (though maybe that’s just because I haven’t yet had any scenes with Knotty that aren’t sad or incredibly awkward)

14. Would you want your books to be made into a TV show or movie? Why or why not?

Most of my fics probably wouldn’t be that great on screen I feel, but the boy who fell from the stars (my marvel fic) might be a fun film! I can imagine all the scenes super clearly in my head and there’s lots of action and both Spiderman and Loki are visually cool to watch.

As for original writing, if my fantasy novel was ever a film that would be amazingly cool! I’d want it to be animated though (I kind of see the characters in animated style in my head anyway) I’d mostly want that so more people would care about Brookes and Tobin and Lilias XD currently it’s just me and one friend because I won’t actually write the damn thing 😅

15. How do you plan your writing?

Ooh I love this stuff! Okay so for big important works like when I did a romance novella for school or my fantasy WIP I do a big spreadsheet and work out all the beats and scenes and who’s there and what the important points of each scene are and it gets colour coded and crazy. Then as it inevitably goes off the rails a bit, I edit the plan as I go so in theory it still all ties up. This turns out really useful for edits because I already have somewhere I can see everything at a glance and know what happens when.

If it’s a fic with multiple scenes, I usually bulletpoint out the main events I know happen. Then I expand that list, breaking it into scenes until I have a rough outline of the entire thing. It can be as narrow as the beats of an argument, or just ‘they go to the place and do the thing.’ Occasionally I’ll include snatches of dialogue in this if I really don’t want to forget, but usually it’s just rough notes. Once I have the whole thing through, that tends to be enough to get me going. I don’t look at it that much while writing, but if I get stuck I check back and it reminds me where to go.

For my part of the Geology AU (oh yes it’s absolutely real we have far too much planning between us) I’m trying out my friend’s method of planning, where she writes out ideas long-form and lets it build like that? Sort of a mix between planning and drafting. So I started off almost writing a blurb of the whole set up, then started describing what happens at the start, and ended up writing super rough sections of scenes. I use Scrivener so I’ve got those organised into like plot strands so one is ‘Will’s family’ and one is ‘Eliza being overprotective’ and ‘garbageknot’ and once I’ve got the material I want I can slot the scenes into order and write it out properly. It’s time-consuming but helps me come up with a lot of stuff so it’s working fairly well.

20 . What color scheme is your current work in progress?

Pretty similar to Hangman’s Knot I reckon (I think there’s only like 2 locations not in the book) lots of orangey-brown but also sort of navy. Oh, and pink because Will is blushing a lot XD

23. Do you make playlists for your works in progress, characters, or scenes?

Not exactly, the Widdershins playlists I’ve already shared are my main ones relating to characters. The entirety of M A N I A by Fall Out Boy is the soundtrack for my fantasy WIP because I first listened directly before starting to plot it out. Lover Boy by Queen is the themesong of my garbageknot WIP! Oh, but I do have a mini playlist for my school AU I think I just titled it ‘Widdershins Community College’ and it’s mostly just emo trash and I can’t remember if I added the pop songs yet. It’s not really to do with the actual AU, it’s a combo of songs I think some characters might listen to and songs they absolutely would not but I have particular scenes in mind that go along with it anyway because I was listening when I thought of them. Therefore, Starships goes with both Will, Eliza and Knotty hanging out doing their homework and Ben trying to cut his own hair at school while having a breakdown :D (If I ever write it idk if that scene stays because I have a few ideas but it’s a possibility lmao)

Insomnia // Hwang Hyunjin [bulleted scenario!]

Summary: In which you and Hyunjin are both too oblivious to realize your true feelings... until it’s too late?

Genre: angsty, floooof, gender neutral

Word Count: 2175

Warnings: Just some cursing

A/N: This is my first time writing a bulleted scenario and i quite enjoyed it :) idk it’s fun to not care about settings too much and punctuation and stuff. I also liked adding my own little dumb remarks here are there :PP it was fuN! This was another scenario that kinda arose while i was napping i hope you guys enjoy it! <3 i love stray kids

i’m also gonna try to make all my scenarios gender neutral from now on (unless specifically requested) b/c we are all about inclusivity here !! :)

This was originally gonna be like a real fic

But the writers block was REAL like i really tried to set the scene and everything

But it didn’t turn out right

Ok so SEtting thE SCeNe~~~~

You just walked into the jyp building bc jyp hired you as a new producer

Like to study under him and potentially help w producing in the future

Like jyp 2.0 ya know

Jyp meets w you himself bc you’re like a prodigy

And a foreigner so he thought you’d be more comfortable w him speaking toyou in english :D

So he explained what you gotta do during your training period

Like studying more about composition and production

Learning korean to more easily communicate w idols and what not

And also honing your own style and figuring out who you are as an artist

So he pairs you up w the trainees bc it be good practice

More specifically skz bc they seem to have a more flexible style

Also like he thought it would be good for you to work w chan and the rest of 3racha

Like bc yall around the same age

And it helps you become more comfy

And familiar w the company and the producing rooms and recording studios and what no

And then like

Through working w them to produce a song for the trainee showcase

Yall get mad close

And like

You have your eyes on hyunjin from the start

Like bc who couldn’t

At first you were just like “this is admiration”

Which made you feel bad that you saw that at first

But you realized later

Little did you know that your crush was NOT one sided

Hyunjin admired your hard work in producing

And how you always took criticism well and only worked to improve your work

So yall were both kinda obvious

So skz knew for a fact that hyunjin was head over heels in love w you so they pushed him to confess to you

Yeah he was like no

But after PEEr pRessUre

He finally agreed

They was gonna plan something like a party for you

To celebrate the time you’ve been w the company

But the showcase came before the celebration and suddenly they were on a survival show to see who would debut

So the party was postponed OOOODDDDD

But you didnt even know it was gonna happen so you didnt mind anyways

Soon enough it got closer to your birthday, and skz just decided to make it a birthday celebration instead

Hyunjin was more iffy about confessing bc what if you dont feel the same and he ruins your bday oh no

But at this point, skz was sure you liked him back so they were like dont worry about that they aren’t like that your relationship will be fine

So the party happens ladida

You were super surprised and sosososososo happy

Bc like

Your hart

These boys were precious and totally made your day

Tbh bc of your work

You almost forgot it was your birthday

After the crazy loud party, you wanted to like take some quiet time for yourself so you excused yourself

And then walked to the hallway and sat by the window and looked out at the city and the night sky

Beautiful

And suddenly you heard footsteps

It was this boy named jason who you were friends with

He was from the same town you were from so you got close p quickly when you first got to jyp

And jason had a not-so-secret crush on you

That ofc you were oblivious to

But he came over there to spend time w you and wish you happy bday

Little did you know

Hyunijn was mentally preparing himself to confess to you down the hall and around the corner w a pretty bouquet of flowers what a sweet boy

And when he finally works up the courage, he turns the corner and sees jason giving you a bday hug

And he cant help but feel his hart drop

Yall look good together and like you were from the same town so similarities

So he was heartbroken needless to say

He quickly turned around and walked away

But you heard the footsteps and saw just a glance of his outfit retreating

You excused yourself from jason’s company and ran after him bc you are so in love w this boy

You were gonna hug him and thank him, but when you approached he took a step back

Like ow

That hurt

He quickly stammered that he had to go home bc he was tired and left

He was hiding the flowers behind his back :’(

And then tossed them as soon as he left the building

He went for a long ass walk to clear his mind and soothe his aching heart

You were so worried

Was he okay?

You went home soon after bc you couldnt help but worry and that made you super tired

But you couldn't sleep

You knew he took criticism from the show too so maybe it was that

But he didn't

He avoided you

Your heart really couldnt take it

Meanwhile you and jason got closer bc you didnt have hyunjin to hang out w anymore

Despite your many efforts

And this just further fuels his belief that yall are together

So to ignore the tinge in his heart every time he saw you, he buried himself in practice

Didn't sleep

Didnt drink enough water

Didnt eat enough

He was getting dangerously skinny and unhealthy

And it affected his attitude

Not only to you but to his members

One day you were asked to come in and monitor a recording session

And he was happy and giggly in front of the camera

But as soon as it turned off u could see the fatigue

And you told him that he should take better care of himself

And he SNAPPEd at you

You actually flinched bc he was so aggressive

Your heart SHATTEREd

And you, also sleep deprived as FUCk

Slapped him

Not super hard, but like a “what the fuck is wrong with you”

And you walked right out, not even bothering to hide your tears

And he was sad but he thought that you hating him would help him get over you

What a dumb boy

You completely avoided him after that

You also still had restless nights

God that convo kept playing over and over in your head

YOU COULDNT SLEEP

But one day you got a call from chan

He needed your help

Hyunjin was seriously overworking himself and he was afraid hyunjin was gonna collapse

Luckily you were still at the company working on smth bc ofc you couldn't sleep anyways so might as well make use of your time

So you finally agree bc even if you’re still angry at him, you are srsly worried about this boy

And when you get to the dance room your heart breaks all over again

Hes so pale

And sickly looking

And hes shaking but hes still dancing

You knock and hear a gruff “its open”

The music pauses for a moment but when he sees its you he scoffs and turns it back on

“what do you want”

“Uhm.. are you okay?”

“Why? You wanna slap me again to make me feel better?”

Ofc you rolled your eyes bc wtf hyunjin you were being nice

“I dont even know why i bothered”

You go over to the stereo and turn it off yourself

And he turns to you angry

ARGUMENT TIME

Him: “WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?”

“MY PROBLEM?!!!?!?? YOU’RE THE ONE WHO PUSHED ME AWAY FOR NO DAMN REASON!! AND EVEN AFTER ALL THAT, I STILL TRIED TO BE NICE AND ASK IF YOU WERE OKAY. I WAITED FOR YOU TO OPEN UP TO ME. TO TALK TO ME ABOUT WHATEVER WAS BOTHERING YOU!”

At this point, you’re practically sobbing like udk if he can understand you but who cares

All this frustration that was pent up inside felt good being released

Bc at this point, you had nothing more to lose

Hyunjin already hated you so like why not just speak your mind amirite

Anyways continuing w the dialogue:

“HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT MY PROBLEM WHEN MY PROBLEM IS YOU!”

Cue awkward pause/break thing (AWKwARD SiLEncE)

“What are you talking about hyunjin?”

He sighed defeatedly

It was now or never. He felt like his relationship w you was ruined already anyways

So he, like you, also had a ‘what do i have to lose’ mentality

“I was going to confess to you y/n. That night at your birthday party. But i was too late. I saw you with jason and you looked so happy and perfect together. So i left. I cut my ties with you because i didn’t want my own feelings to get in the way of your happiness.”

You were completely utterly speechless

Like there were an overwhelming number of feelings enveloping you atm

Bc on the one hand:

The love of your life just confessed to you

But on the other

What a dumbass

You end up laughing and scoffing at his words bc

Hes so dumb

You dont like jason

God you’ve been in love w hyunjin for so goddamn long

And now you’re debating over how to respond

But like your anger and frustration kinda takes precedence bc youre also sleep deprived and you go

“ so, you broke your own heart and then you broke mine because you didn’t want to talk to me about it you dumbass ????”

And he gives you that classic confused puppy-dog look

W the head tilt and everything

And you go

“Hwang hyunjin, i’m fucking in love with you”

And he just stares blankly at you and blinks like 8 times trying to comprehend what just came out of your mouth

And his lips form an ‘o’ shape

And then hes coming closer and wrapping his arms around you

And you dont even mind that hes still sweaty and kinda smelly

Bc hes finally in your arms

But holding him so close also makes you super aware of just how skinny he’s gotten

Like it was worse than you thought

So you pull back and you open your mouth to chastise him

But before you can even start he’s cupping your cheeks can pulling your face to his

Your lips collide and then they're molding into one another

And your mind kinda blanks out

But your automatic reaction seems to be letting your fingers run through his hair and pulling him closer towards you

And when yall finally come up for breath

He tries to go in for another one like immediately after

Like slow your roll boy you guys can kiss all you want later

If you said that out loud, he wouldve responded w something like “we gotta make up for lost time”

But you put your hands on his chest and hold him back

And he pouts

(you almost squeal at how cute he looks)

“Ok, now that we’re dating, i am literally commanding you to take better care of yourself because this,” you eye him up and down, “is unacceptable”

And he quirks an eyebrow up and is like

Oh? I don’t recall asking you out? On a date?”

And you get all blushing and become a blubbering mess and hide your face in his chest like

“Shut up hyunjin”

But he’s just giggling at your embarrassed face :D

Then, him being the dramatic hoe that he is, he gets down on one knee in front of you and says

“y/n, y/l/n, will you go out on a date with me?”

And ofc u say yes

And after that whole dramatic scene, you pull him out of the practice room, fingers intertwined, ready to stuff him with food

And he goes

“I dont think i said it back.”

“Said what back?”

“That i love you”

UWU

And the rest is history

2. What colour and style is your hair?: kind of dark blonde and darker roots, medium length, but i want to cut it a bit shorter

3. What colour are your eyes?: plain old blue

4. Do you wear glasses?: yes, my eyesight is poor lmao. it’s around -1.70ish? i don’t remember at the moment.

5. Do you wear braces?: no. my teeth are a bit wonky and i think i have an overbite but eh i don’t really mind it.

6. What is your fashion style?: it’s a mess between a lot of styles, but for a while now it’s just been 70s inspired stuff, but i don’t really have the time to put a lot of thought in my outfits atm :(

7. Full name: won’t answer that for uhh obvious reasons

8. When were you born?: 25th of september

9. Where are you from and where do you live now?: Latvia

10. What school do you go to?: a gymnasium, which is like a secondary school, only cooler

11. What kind of student are you?: i usually don’t really study but still get good enough grades. if i put more effort into it i would get better grades but oh well

12. Do you like school?: yeah, it’s fun and i like learning new things. hate tests and exams though.

13. What are your favourite school subjects?: i like history and we have a class about culture which is kind of similar to history, also literature and i used to have art and music.

Imagine: You and whomever F/Os are on the brain doing outfit swaps!! Who has the oversized clothes? Who can't fit in the others clothes? who steals the others style! XD

my brain is just a huge swirl of f/os rn and i can’t reliably tell who specifically is and isn’t on the brain but it’s pretty reliably JJBA Gang atm so i will answer for them!

[i look at kars’s normal outfit] hm! i’m a little too modest to wear that on and so is my part 2 s/i! his switzerland look, though...oh my GOD i’m not even that small, i’m a 5′7″ Fat Fuck, but i would DROWN in that coat just because of how much taller and more muscular he is compared to me. and as for his side of the thing, he of course cannot fit into my/my s/i journey’s clothes because they’re made for someone who’s two-thirds his size and big in different places than he is (in a fat vs muscle way) but now i’m imagining him wearing their scarf as an accessory to his usual outfit of “basically nothing”

Mr. Daniel Of Steel...i don’t think there’s any radical size differences, so right now i’m just kombucha-girling about how i would have to wear his top that basically exposes his entire chest but he would be wearing my s/i’s...i don’t think it’s a crop top technically because they get it looking like that by tying off a full length button-up shirt but it does bare the midriff.

for n’doul i’m also kombucha-girling about wearing his outfit because it fits pretty tight on him and has a low neckline so like Nooooo That Highlights The Things I’m Insecure/Dysphoric About! but also. because he and steely dan are shipped with the same s/i. Tied-Off Shirt 👀

the outfit swap with tonio wouldn’t have a huge amount of comedy value because my s/i just wears normal clothes and the size difference is basically “my outfit is a little tight in the chest area for him and his chef’s coat is a little big on me” but also i am DYING to see this man in some casual wear or just literally anything other than his work uniform so i think just by that token i’m extremely thinking about this concept now. please araki i am starving i have a hard time even picturing him without his hat half the time

ghiaccio and i are the same height and while i’m a little heavier-set i think i’d still be able to squeeze myself into his outfit, the fabric on the top looks stretchy enough. this would be one where he would be resistant to it because my part 5 s/i wears a crop top and short shorts and just going by how much his outfit covers compared to his fellow squadra members i feel like he doesn’t like exposing a lot of skin. he’s wrapped in the coat cape until we switch back.

i’m mostly just fascinated by weather report’s outfit. baby WHAT is this:

he’s so tall and his outfit looks like it’s made of pvc so the way it would fit on me would be. So Weird. my s/i is like “you know what, keep my outfit, i can get something similar, oh my god do you have to get vacuum sealed into this every day or something what the FUCK”

i actually don’t have any idea what hot pants would be changing INTO because i’m still kind of rolling ideas for my part 7 s/i around so i’m just going to go with my normal rl outfit (t-shirt, jeans, flannel, vans) and holy SHIT she’s under 112 pounds my clothes would fit her like fucking tents! i don’t think i’d be able to wear hers but i’m definitely trying on her hat.

LAYER ONE : THE OUTSIDE

Name - Patrick J. Finch / Fenrisulfr / Fenris / Hróðvitnir / Vánagandr Eye colour - Ice blue; looks much paler than it actually is when he’s looking directly into sunlight; looks like actual ices due to the parts in the iris where it looks like cracks in the surface of a frozen pond Hair style / colour - Blonde, something between wavy and straight, too short to really be wavy, but not straight enough to be straight; usually just fixed with a quick hair ruffle and rarely properly styled; only gels his fringe back during gala occasions. Height - 178-9cm, 5′8′‘ apparently, I never claimed he was tall <w< Clothing style - Casual things, usually. He does not like suits even though the suit him (heh), but he doesn’t like wearing all too loose stuff. So he usually opts for a cardigan, a sweatshirt, or a flannel worn over a t-shirt. He likes black but can often be seen wearing other dark colours such as dark green, or grey, can be often seen only wearing trousers that are dark in tone, and never will you catch him wearing jeans, he hates jeans. He’s always wearing long-sleeved things due to... reasons. And he also loves hoodies, but to cuddle in rather than wearing them out and about. He never leaves home without his black coat. Best physical feature: His eyes. Piercing pale blue, can give the feeling of having all your secrets exposed to him, or like you’re the only thing that matters in the whole entire world. He has incredibly expressive eyes, and they speak for him even when he doesn’t want to. He’s also got pretty eye-lashes to make looking up from below them a sight.

LAYER TWO : THE INSIDE

Fears - Captivity, solitary confinement, anything that means he’s trapped has no control over the situation and is left alone with his own mind. Guilty pleasure - Anything that is ridiculously sweet and sugary. He cares about his teeth and keeping them clean and strong (as a wolf, they’re his pride and joy), but sometimes he just really needs to bite into a jelly bean or one of those sugary worms or those really long red thingies that I can’t find the name of. Biggest pet peeve - Miscommunication and misunderstanding stemming from miscommunication. It’s so easy to open someone’s damn mouth and just talk about things (even though, really, looking at his behaviour, he’s a damn hypocrite), and it’s incredibly frustrating to watch relationships fall apart because someone heard something but didn’t care to ask. Ambitions for the future - None, none he can really talk about. Patrick lives his life ‘carpe diem’ style. He rarely plans ahead, and when he does, it’s not for the future, but just for the success of a deal or the enjoyment of screwing someone over.

LAYER THREE : THOUGHTS

First thoughts upon waking up: It’s probably the purest form of frustration leading into resignation. Waking up for him means another day he has to spend being alive, in which he has to do things that don’t matter, and has to live on pretending he’d rather not. So his first thoughts aare usually spent on that, on getting himself out of bed, on a bit of self-pity to indulge in. Then he sighs and gets up. What you think about most: Life. Living, dying, actions that matter, actions that don’t. Looking at the past, and looking at the future. He thinks about humans, thinks about choices, thinks about how they go about their life, thinks about the way he’s similar to them, about the way he isn’t. He thinks about what he can do to make being alive a bit more interesting in that moment. What you think about before bed: If he can help it, nothing. He likes to not think when he’s going to bed, but to just watch. He watches the world move. And tries to not think. What your best quality is - Patience, probably. He’s willing to wait to understand a motif, he’s willing to wait for people, for an answer, for the right choice. He’s been alive for so long, the only thing he’s impatient for is Death.

LAYER FOUR: WHAT’S BETTER ?

Single or group dates - Single. To be loved or respected - You can’t really have one without the other, otherwise, something would be lacking. But respect before love, because he doesn’t want to be loved before he is respected. Beauty or brains - A healthy combination of both, but he doesn’t mind if the brains exceed the beauty. Dogs or cats - Cats, which is also his Celtic zodiac sign atm.

LAYER FIVE : DO YOU …

Lie - Yes. In some cases, he lies as a default. It’s both a defence mechanism and an actual rational tool to survive. On one side it’s compulsive to protect his heart, on the other he works in the supernatural and illegal world so, being always honest there would be idiotic. Believe in yourself - He believes in his mental strength, in his skills at his job, and his strength as the Fenrisulfr But he does not believe in his emotions or heart. Believe in love - He’d like to. Want someone - Not up until very recently. Or actually, since always. But it’s an unattainable dream that just makes him frustrated.

LAYER SIX : EVER BEEN …

Been on stage: Yes, he was a theatre kid. Done drugs: No, but it depends on who you ask. Changed who you were to fit in: He’s a con-man to survive as an informant, he’s been involved in heists and the hunt of people who owed debts, so... I’d say, yes.

LAYER SEVEN : FAVORITES

Favourite color - Red, I think, which surprises me. He rarely wears it. Favourite animal - All of them, he’s a big animal guy. Favourite movie - I can’t say! Maybe something fantastical like Narnia or LOTR. favourite game - Fifa because there’s no plot and he can enjoy a sport he likes.

LAYER EIGHT : AGE

Day your next birthday will be - February 16th How old will you be - Technically 31, but he’s stuck at 29 so- Age you lost your virginity - Still a virgin. Does age matter - It matters most in relationships and the amount of pressure you can put on a person.

LAYER NINE : IN A PERSON

Best personality - There’s too many to pick from, but he enjoys warm people. People who can see the good in others without being too in your face about their optimism. People ho understand what it’s like to be hurt and respect your boundaries even if they do’t understand them. People who are gentle but not a 100% forgiving. Best eye colour - He’d like to say he doesn’t, but brown. Best hair colour - Darker colours as well. Best thing to do with a partner - Be with, physically. Be in each other’s presence, talking maybe, confirming one another’s existence without feeling pressured to.

LAYER TEN : FINISH THE SENTENCE

I love - nothing completely I feel - frustrated and resigned at the same time, desperate. I hide - everything. I miss - not knowing who I am. I wish - I could put an end to this.
