Day Eighteen: Pet Play & Humping w/ YangYang
Word Count: 2,955
** light puppy play, pillow humping, dry humping, multiple orgasms, lots of cum, switch!reader, hints of sub!yangyang
âFans are asking if they can be my dog. Again,â YangYang says, tossing his phone over onto his bed. It bounces and hits your arm where youâre stretched out, head on his pillow. YangYang asks, âDo I just give off âI want you to be my petâ vibes?â
You shrug. âKind of.â
âYou canât say that,â he whines. âIâm your boyfriend. Be nice to me.â
With a laugh you look over at YangYang where heâs sitting at his desk. âSorry, but itâs a mild furry vibe. Like, I can picture you with wolf ears and a tail.â
âOh my God,â YangYang groans. âRemind me to talk to my stylists, managers, and the entire PR team tomorrow to rework my image. A furry?â
He drops his head heavily into his arms folded on his desk.Â
âYouâd be a cute puppy,â you giggle, and giggle again when he glares over at you.Â
YangYang swears, sitting up in his seat, turning his back to you petulantly. âIâm not a puppy!âÂ
You leave it alone then, just devoting your attention once more to your phone as YangYang pulls up his game on his computer. For a while, each of you does your own thing. You hear him talking as he games, chatting with the other members heâs playing with. You watch TikToks, do a little online shopping, scroll through your Instagram feed.Â
Youâre fine spending time with YangYang like this. You understood there might be some limitations to your relationship when it began. You couldnât be out in public with him as much as you might like, though you did definitely go on dinner dates and dates to other cute and fun places. But for the most part it was just quality time with him in his dorm or at your place. Today youâd been with him all day, picking up breakfast for him on your way over, and youâd run down to the convenience store with him earlier this afternoon, now his day off was winding down with playing games (as he always did around this time), but after a while of it, you were starting to grow bored.Â
âYang,â you call after a while. âIâm bored.â
You turn onto your side, bunching his long bodypillow up against your chest, cuddling it since heâs so far away.Â
âBored?â He echoes back to you, slightly turning his head in your direction, but he doesnât look away from his game. âWhat do you want me to do about that?â
Mildly irritated by his response, you sigh. âI donât know. Maybe come over here.â
Now he glances over quickly at you. âWeâre almost done.â Itâs barely a second that he looks at you before heâs sucked back in, focusing only on the screen in front of him.Â
Again, you sigh. Youâre bored, and because youâre bored, youâre kind of horny. And because youâre kind of horny, you drape a thigh over the long pillow, hooking your leg around it to pull it closer between your legs. You rock your hips against it, just small moves at first, just because it feels nice.Â
If YangYang wonât pay attention to you, youâll just have to take care of yourself.Â
You close your eyes, pressing your cheek against the pillow, grinding into it, just letting the friction settle a relaxing heat in your belly.Â
âThat doesnât look like youâre bored,â YangYang says after a few minutes. You blink your eyes open, looking up at him, even as you keep humping the pillow. YangYang spins his chair back around to face you, and you notice the computer is dark, his headphones are sitting to the side. âDo you still want me to come over there?â
You clutch the pillow tighter, hugging it against you as you hump it, feeling the soft cushiony friction of it against your pussy through the shorts youâre wearing.Â
âMhm,â you moan softly, âCome here, puppy.â
YangYangâs jaw clenches, his hands spreading on his thighs. âI think youâre the one that looks like a fucking puppy right now, babe. Humping your pillow like a little bitch in heat. I saw Bella do that once to one of her stuffed animals, just like you are now.â
You bristle a little at the comparison to their dog, but heâs also not entirely wrong. You canât stop humping the pillow even as YangYang makes fun of you for it. It feels so nice, the slowly curling heat inside you, the sweet friction tingling against your clit. So even as youâre slightly insulted by the comparison, you still moan.Â
âDo you want to be my dog?â YangYang asks, standing up from his seat to cross the few feet to his bed. âWant me to call you my bitch?â
A shiver rolls through you, your hips jolting against the pillow, and a choked down whimper escapes you.Â
âReally?â YangYang sits on the edge of the bed, watching you run up against his pillow. âYou like that, pup?â
You want to tell him no because this isnât something youâve ever really given thought to before. You didnât think you were into pet play, but having him call you pup and bitch have you clinging tighter to the pillow, chasing after the feeling you get when you hump it.Â
âBet it would feel better if you took your clothes off,â YangYang suggests. âDo you want to get naked for Daddy?â
You snort out a laugh at that one. âI can do the puppy stuff,â you tell him, âbut I draw the line with Daddy.â
YangYang smiles. âNo?â
You shake your head. âNo. But I do like when you call me pup, actually.â
He makes a small sound of amusement as he closes his lips, struggling to hold down a grin. Then, âWell, take your clothes off, pup. Only good pups deserve clothes, and youâre being bad right now.â
Itâs almost ridiculous how much YangYangâs words are affecting you.Â
You release your grip on the pillow, moving back to quickly pull your shirt over your head, push your shorts down your legs. Your panties cling to your pussy, damp with arousal, and you look at YangYangâs face as you peel your panties down. His gaze is locked on the downward slide, on a string of sticky arousal that stretches between the crotch of your panties and your soaked core.Â
As soon as you toe your panties over your feet, YangYang snatches them up from his bed.Â
You know heâs a little bit of an odd guy, but youâre still a little surprised when your boyfriend bunches your panties up in his fist, bringing them up to his nose. He sniffs, eyes traveling back up your body while he inhales your scent.Â
It does feel really nice, you think, as you pull the pillow back against your naked body. The fabric of the pillow is soft and cool as your bare tits press against it, perfect as your pussy settles into the cushiony feeling of it.Â
âDirty pup,â YangYang murmurs, pulling your panties away from his face. âHumping my pillow on my bed. Just looking for some relief, huh, puppy?â
You whine, rutting your hips against the pillow, but itâs not quite enough. Not at this angle.Â
You push your hips forward, rolling over top of the pillow so now you can push your hips down into it.Â
YangYang brings his fist back up to his nose, breathing in as he reaches out with his other hand to touch your ass. Your hips jolt, rocking with a bit more intensity now that you feel him touching you.Â
âDoes it feel good?â YangYang asks.Â
You nod, pushing your hands down against his bed, lifting your torso off the pillow so you can really hump it, spreading your knees apart as you sit up. You whine, rocking back and forth against the pillow, the soft material feels so good against your bare pussy.Â
Itâs been so long since you humped a pillow. You havenât done this since you were first experiencing your sexual awakening, but right now, you canât remember why itâs been so long. Your tits bounce with each rock and grinding motion you make, and when YangYang lifts a hand to your chest, you just moan for him.Â
âPuppy, are you gonna cum from humping the pillow?â YangYang teases, pinching your nipple between his fingers. âAre you?â
You nod, whimpering and moving faster, your body caving to the need for an orgasm, chasing it as quickly as you can.Â
âHow pathetic,â YangYang comments, tugging gently at your nipple caught between his fingers. âWhat a messy pup, cumming on my pillow. Couldnât wait for me to stop gaming to ride my cock instead?âÂ
Is he offering? Because youâll gladly take his cock instead of just the pillow.
âGive it to me, YangYang,â you whine, reaching for him, wanting to pull him closer.Â
He just brushes your hand away. âNo.â
You know by the way that heâs staring at you that you can either cum by humping his pillow or not cum at all. In the end, itâs not really a choice.Â
You drop a hand down to bunch the pillow more between your thighs, really giving you something to rock your clit against, and this is just what you needed. It feels better, rubbing forward against the bunched up pillow, grinding down over the material, doing the absolute most you can.Â
âOh, God,â you moan, your eyes rolling at the direct stimulation against your clit. âOh, fuck, YangYang.â
His fingers toy with both of your nipples now, rolling and pinching and tugging.
The knot in your belly grows tighter and tighter and your movements speed up until you suddenly and all at once feel the release. The warm sweeping heat that spreads through you, hips canting against the pillow to keep the pleasure going, your mouth has fallen open with moans, and YangYang quickly drags your mouth against his, laughing even as he tries to kiss you quiet.Â
You slump against your boyfriendâs chest, head resting in the dip between his neck and shoulder. YangYang laughs into your hair. âYouâre so damn loud. The other dorm probably heard you upstairs.â
You donât care.Â
YangYang eventually and carefully drags you from your seat on his bodypillow to a seat on his lap. He whistles a little as he looks over your shoulder.Â
âYou made a mess, babe.â He brushes his lips along your shoulder. âJust look at what you did.â
Left behind on the pillow is a large damp spot. Itâs got a little shine to it, a bit of gloss, still so slick with your arousal.Â
âGross,â YangYang wrinkles his nose in faux-disgust. âWhat am I going to do with this pillow now? Keep it around for you to use when youâre needy?â He grabs a handful of your ass, squeezing.Â
You slide backwards off his lap, sinking down onto your back now. YangYang looks down at you, his gaze passing appreciatively from your tits to your pussy and back. His hand drifts down to adjust his cock where it bulges the front of his sweatpants.Â
âWhat about you?â You ask, spreading your legs in invitation. âIs it your turn now?â
YangYang lets his gaze be drawn down to your pussy. He shifts closer, doesnât even blink when you push your hands beneath his shirt.Â
âCome on, puppy,â you tease, tucking your fingers in the waistband of his sweatpants, pulling. âCome use me like your pillow.â
âWeirdo,â he whispers, his tone full of endearment, and he lowers himself over you, slotting himself right in between your thighs. His erection presses against the front of his pants, gliding right between your legs and over your sensitive clit. Your thighs jump, squeezing against his sides.Â
But YangYang humps you, keeping the layer of his underwear and sweatpants between you. You curl your fingers through his hair, guiding his lips down to yours, and you kiss him slowly while he dry humps you, like youâre both a pair of inexperienced teenagers. But it feels good, and soon YangYang is panting into your mouth, both of you trading moans back and forth.Â
Youâve soaked through the front of his sweatpants now. Either that or YangYang has, with his cock so wet as he comes closer and closer to his orgasm. Heâs got his cock head bulging the front of his sweatpants right at your clit, just humping you like that as your legs draw tight around his hips and he canât move anywhere else (even if he wanted to, which he doesnât).Â
YangYang cums in his pants, biting down against your bottom lip as he grinds in tight circles against your clit, punctuated with a good knock forward with his hips.Â
He tips you backward a bit more, changing up the angle even as he starts to go soft in his pants, offering up his thigh for you to grind up against instead. You hump against the top of his thigh while he grinds his softening cock against the underside of your thigh.Â
You cum again like that, and you feel weak, wet pulses against your thigh as YangYangâs cock releases more cum that leaks through the thin material of his pants.Â
âGood puppy,â YangYang praises, moaning still in the back of his throat as you squirm in his arms. âOh, shit, babe,â his mouth falls to your throat, stifling his moans against your skin, both of you still rolling your bodies together. âI feel so gross,â he complains, but that doesnât stop him from rutting against your belly with cum oozing from his tip, and doesn't stop him from pulling his sweatpants down to hump against your ass when you roll yourself onto your belly.Â
In total, by the time that youâve worn yourselves out, youâve cum probably three times, soaking his pillow and his sweatpants, and lastly squirting on his bare thigh. YangYang somehow cums more than you, or so it seems. His underwear cling to his cock, the inside of them is sticky, cum stretching like a filmy membrane between his skin and the fabric as it grows tacky.Â
âDefinitely feel gross,â he mumbles, kicking his underwear and sweatpants off the edge of the bed. He uses your discarded panties to at least attempt to clean up the mess on his cock and abdomen. âShower in the morning though. Wanna hold you.â
Heâs like drunk on the pleasure, eyes lidded, words slurring a little, and all he wants is to run his hands over you, hold you in his arms.Â
Youâre fine with that. YangYang snuggles you in close, tugging the duvet up over both of you and the body pillow where itâs now tucked behind him.Â
âDo you really like it when I call you my puppy?â YangYang asks after a few moments. âLike it wasnât just a drawn out thing because of what the fans were saying earlier?â
You shrug a little. âI donât know that I would like actually bring anything more than you calling me puppy into our sex life, like any actual pet play, Iâm still unsure about. But thereâs just something about you talking down to me that I was enjoying.â
YangYang nods at that. âI agree. Like, I donât think I mind much when you call me puppy either. But it seems more like when I call you âbabeâ than you, like, degrading me with it.â Heâs quiet for a moment, then, âBut Iâd maybe be okay with a little of that in the future too. I, uh, I liked humping you. Maybe you could, I donât know, talk down to me a bit.â
Your boyfriendâs cheeks grow pink.Â
âYeah, puppy?â You smile. âYou want to show Mommy your submissive side?â
Youâve known that youâre a switch, having been dominant with a partner in the past. But you didnât know that was something YangYang was into. Not until now.Â
He moans. âOh, so Daddy is off limits, but you can call yourself Mommy?âÂ
You dip your head forward, kissing YangYangâs chest right over his heart. âYes, baby. Did you want to call me Daddy?â
Judging from the sound he makes, you think the wiring in your boyfriendâs brain may have just short-circuited.Â
âLetâs just go to sleep,â he says after a moment, his voice very strained, like heâs struggling to stay rooted in the present instead of replaying your last words in his mind. âOh, fuck. Yeah, letâs just sleep now.â
You smile, resting your cheek against his chest as he wraps his arms around you.Â
You do drift off to sleep, and you sleep peacefully with YangYang that night, waking late the following morning to pale sunlight coming through the curtains over his windows.Â
YangYang is gone, and you vaguely remember him saying something yesterday about having a schedule today, but the body pillow is in his place beside you.Â
A note has been left stuck to the fabric:
âI really think weâre going to have to get rid of this pillow. Use it how you like this morning, pup. I did. I couldnât help myself when I woke up, so I humped it while I watched you sleep, and now the cover on it is ruined. If you have fun, send me a video. Be a good girl, and maybe Iâll have a treat for you later, pup.â
You push the note away, letting it float to the floor as you prop your phone up on YangYangâs desk, hitting record as you pull yourself up to straddle the pillow.Â
Yeah, you think to yourself as you feel the spot on the case still damp beneath you from where YangYang came on it this morning, something will have to be done about this pillow.Â

âYouâre going on vacation with Yangyang?â âYes.â âYour best friend?â âYes.â âTo an abandoned cabin in the woods.â âFirst itâs not abandoned, just very far out and second I donât see where youâre going with this.â âWell are you?â You sighed loudly, rolling your eyes at Donghyuck who was sat in front of you in the library where you had met to have a little study session before you were leaving for the weekend. âYes I am.â âOn Valentineâs Day.â âItâs just because itâs on a weekend and it was cheap.â âYou do see where I am going with this, right?â âI am not Donghyuck,â you rolled your eyes. âYouâre literally the most stupid person I have ever met and I am friends with a bunch of idiots,â your friend whined, throwing the straw wrapper from his iced americano at you. âHyuck whatâs your problem? Weâre literally just both stressed out from classes already and he found that offer thatâs within both of our budgets. Nothing wrong about two friends chilling in a secluded cabin.â âHave you seen the freaking cabin?â Donghyuck whisper screamed, earning him a hiss from one of the students sitting on the table next to you. âI have, Hyuck.â âThen you might have missed the fact that this cabin coincidentally has a hot tub but only one bedroom?â He went on, waving his phone in front of your face where he had pulled up the website advertising the cabin. Groaning, you faceplanted into the books that were scattered around you. âDo you see what I mean now?â Donghyuck hissed, scrolling through the pictures on the website. âHyuck listen. Yangyang and I are both kind of short on cash so the bigger cabins just werenât going to make it if we wanted that hot tub. So we agreed that we could sleep in the same bed for a couple of nights, no big deal. Pretty sure youâve done that with Mark, Jaemin and Jeno as well when you four went on spring break vacation.â âDonât distract from the topic, that was entirely different,â Donghyuck mused but the slight blush covering his cheeks was betraying him. âIs it though?â You asked, a shit eating grin on your face. âWhen did this conversation turn into you commenting on my poor live choices?â
âDiscussing Hyuckâs poor live choices? My favorite part time activity,â another voice joined into your conversation and Renjun plopped down next to his friend on the bench. âCan you smell my misery or something?â Donghyuck groaned, slumping back into his seat, dramatically staring at the high ceiling. âI wish I could,â the Chinese laughed, loudly slurping his iced drink of choice despite the chilly weather outside while completely ignoring the glares some of the students were shooting him, âNo, I was supposed to meet Yangyang to give him my car keys but youâll do.â With that he threw his keys onto the table. âItâs parked by the student center, should fit all of your stuff.â âThank you Renjun,â you smiled, pocketing his keys. âThere is a chance though that I am out of gas,â he grinned. âI knew there would be a catch,â the familiar voice of your best friend groaned before he plopped down next to you, loudly dropping his backpack onto the floor which again had people to glare at your little group. âI swear to god youâre going to get us kicked out,â Hyuck hissed, throwing Yangyang and Renjun disappointed glares. âNot like you were studying anyways,â Renjun rolled his eyes. âWhat were you doing?â Yangyang asked, flipping through the pages of one of your books. âWell I was trying to get a head start on my essay,â you groaned, âBut Hyuck had other plans.â
âExactly. Which brings me back to my point,â Donghyuck grinned, turning towards Yangyang, âYang, so did you, by any chance notice that the cabin youâre staying at this weekend with your best friend on freaking Valentineâs Day conveniently only has one bed but features a hot tub?â âOooooh,â Renjun mused, leaning forward into his elbows. âWell... We were short on money but wanted a hot tub?â Yangyang slowly answered, blushing under the intense gazes of both of his friends. âSee Hyuck itâs exactly what I told you,â you groaned, âNo big deal.â âSure, just two friends sitting in a hot tub, five feet apart because theyâre not in love,â Renjun sang. âThe original sounds better,â Donhyuck said flatly. âYeah but the both of them are disgustingly straight,â Renjun shrugged. âYou make that sound like an insult,â Yangyang snorted and crossed his arms in front of his chest. âAnyways!â Donghyuck interrupted a little too loud, causing one of the students working in the library to actually walk over to your table to ask you to leave.
âWell great,â you groaned when you snuggled into your thick winter jacket once you were outside while Renjun and Yangyang couldnât hold in their laughter anymore. âYou guys are the worst,â you said and rolled your eyes even though you couldnât stop the smile on your face from spreading. âYou love us,â Donghyuck laughed, throwing an arm around your shoulder, âWe werenât gonna get anything done anyways.â âAnd we still need to pack,â Yangyang added, âAlso I still need the keys to the car.â âCatch,â you called and quickly threw the keys over to your best friend that Renjun had given you earlier, laughing as he struggled to catch them. âTreat her gently,â Renjun laughed, âOh and she needs gas.â âWhy did I expect anything else,â Yangyang groaned but pocketed the keys, âIâll pick you up after your morning classes?â âSure,â you smiled. âYouâre leaving me alone in our literature class?â Donghyuck gasped, dramatically holding his heart. âListen, itâs either listening to professor Quian all afternoon or drive to the cabin early, Hyuck. What would you do?â You giggled. âFair,â he shrugged, âBut I still feel betrayed.â âYesterday you felt betrayed by that pizza place because you found one stray piece of pineapple on your pizza,â Renjun helpfully added. âThat was an attack on my health,â he hissed, pointing his finger at his friend and roommate, âPineapples do not belong on pizza.â âI am not having this discussion again,â you groaned and slipped out of Donghyuckâs grip, âI gotta pack my stuff.â âYeah, have fun on your totally not coupleâs vacation,â Renjun laughed. âItâs not a coupleâs vacation,â you and Yangyang immediately shouted, giggling at each other afterwards. âYouâre all disgusting, I am leaving,â Donghyuck declared, dragging Renjun with him in the direction of their dorm.
âGuess Iâll see you tomorrow,â you smiled at Yangyang. âYeah, Iâll pick up Renjunâs car and get all the stuff inside. Be at your dorm at like 12.â âSure, Iâm really looking forward to this.â âYeah, me too,â Yangyang said softly, a soft blush on his cheeks that must have been from the cold air. He quickly wrapped you up in a hug before waving goodbye to head over to the studentâs center. Sighing you turned in the opposite direction to your own shoebox of a dorm room, skidding along excitedly. You really were looking forward to this vacation with your best friend.
The next day found you buzzing with excitement, quickly throwing the last things that had been missing into your bag before speeding to your morning classes that went by in a blur. In what felt like no time at all, you were rushing down the steps of your dorm to throw yourself into Renjunâs car and your arms around your best friendâs neck to squeeze him in a tight hug. âIâm so excited,â you squeaked once you let him go to heave in a couple of breaths. âI can tell,â Yangyang laughed, handing you his phone that was already connected to the AUX cord, âI spend two hours yesterday to make the perfect road trip playlist, so you better appreciate that.â âThis better not suck,â you laughed as he started the car to start your journey.
The way up to the mountains found you and Yangyang singing along to his actually good playlist that included some of your favorite songs, your singing getting progressively worse and louder the higher up you got and the more snow was falling. After you had gotten lost just once or twice on the way to pick up the keys from a lady at the reception who handed you a big basket with rose petals, champagne and what seemed like condoms and lube. Heat had immediately risen to both of your faces and you had stumbled over your words for the rest of the conversation, relieved when you could finally leave and head over back to your car to drive up to where your small cabin was.
âThis is so cozy,â you cooed once you had made it inside the cabin, dropping your bag right next to the door to race through the rooms that included a small but clean bathroom and small kitchen with the cutest old school curtains in front of the snowy windows and a door lead outside to where the hot tub was already steaming. The main room that you had come into had a small two-seater couch with a bunch of cozy blankets thrown over it standing in front of a little fireplace that both you and Yangyang were kind of scared to light but you had to eventually because that was all the heat you were going to get. âThe bed is huge,â Yangyang exclaimed and the next thing you heard was a loud thump as he had faceplanted right into the mattress, currently starfishing out, his fingertips not reaching the ends of the bed. âBut we only have one blanket,â you laughed, flipping up through the layers your best friend was laying on top. âWait for real?â He asked, eyes wide and scrambling to take a look for himself. âI hope you like cuddling,â you giggled, tackling your best friend onto the bed who just screeched before he tried to get the upper hand in the tickle fight that had broken out.
âOkay, okay, I surrender,â you laughed with tears in your eyes and lifted your arms in defeat when he had you pinned beneath you, his fingers tickling your sides until you couldnât breathe anymore. âYouâre admitting defeat?â Yangyang laughed, all his teeth showing with how bright he was smiling, digging his fingers between your ribs one last time before he fell to the mattress next to you, you both panting heavily between giggles. When you turned your head to look at your best friend, he was already looking right back at you, something unreadable in his expression. For a while you just stared into each otherâs eyes, the occasional noise of the wood of the cabin creaking the only sound you could hear. Had Yangyangâs eyes always sparkled like that in the low light? Or was it just more apparent now that he had dyed his hair back to his natural dark brown? You found your hand itching to push his too long bangs from his eyes so you could see them properly, captivated by how the edges crinkled up with how he was softly smiling.
The serene silence was very rudely interrupted by Yangyangâs stomach growling loudly which caused both of you to burst out into another fit of giggles. âI think thatâs out cue to put the pizzas in the oven and to unpack,â you laughed, slapping your best friendâs shoulder when he made no move to get up, instead wrapping himself up in the throw blanket. âYouâre so annoying,â you groaned and climbed off of the bed. âYou love me,â he argued, sticking out his tongue at you. For some reason the easy answer of âYes, I doâ got stuck in your throat and you just hummed before walking over to where you had unceremoniously dropped your bags by the door to get the half frozen pizzas and turned on the oven. What was wrong with you all of a sudden? You two always bickered like that. Screw Donghyuck for getting all up in your head before this trip. Nothing had changed. It was just you and your best friend spending a weekend together. Nothing unusual. Thatâs what friends did. Itâs what Donghyuck did with his friends.
Staring blankly into the oven once you had put the pizzas in, you were lost in your thoughts that twisted and turned inside your head but didnât seem to make any sense at all. âAre you mad at me?â Yangyang spoke and wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, causing you to let out a high pitched screech from how surprised you were. âDonât scare me like that,â you scolded him, trying to calm down your furiously beating heart. âIâm sorry,â he mumbled, hooking his head over your shoulder to look into the oven as well, just wordlessly holding you close. âIâm not mad,â you eventually said, letting the tension seep from your muscles and melting into his hold. Smiling you let your weight sag against him, knowing he would have the strength to hold you up. âSleepy?â You just hummed nonchalantly even though you werenât particularly tired but somehow your body felt exhausted. âThe drive took longer than expected,â Yangyang agreed, âLetâs just eat and then try to get the fire going. I brought my laptop and downloaded all the episodes of our next season.â âYouâre an angel,â you giggled, âI didnât even think about that.â âIâm not,â he mumbled, hiding his face in your neck. âMy angel,â you laughed, squirming in his grip to turn around and pinch his sensitive sides. What you hadnât expected was him not backing off, so you found yourself pinned between his body and the oven, your faces dangerously close together. For a second or two you just stayed like that before Yangyangâs brain seemed to realize just how close you were, causing heat to rise to his cheeks and him nervously spluttering about how heâd set the table and unpack everything. Something was definitely off between you two but you chose to put it aside for now, not quiet daring to think about it.
Once you both had two steaming plates of pizza in front of you, everything seemed to be back to normal and conversation flew easily just how it always did between the two of you. You would complain about being swarmed with essays and Yangyang would complain about his two roommates who couldnât be more different from each other which made for a lot of potential for arguments or about how his mother would continuously call him every week to bog him about how school was going, if he was taking his vitamins, if he was still practicing playing his violin, if he had found a girlfriend yet or if he had finally given up on his stupid dancing classes. You were always quick to tell him that he should not feel pressured to drop his dancing to take violin lessons again if he wasnât passionate about it anymore, no matter how much his mom would nag him about it. You knew that he loved dancing way too much and had made so many good friends in his dance crew to just give it up. So just like every time you gently took his hand in yours to squeeze it reassuringly when you promised him he could live with you if his mother decided to disown him over this. But this time he didnât let your hand go once he moved on to tell a story on how his roommates had started arguing in the middle of the night because one of them had started to eat snacks which had woken the other one up, this thumb mindlessly caressing the back of your hand.
âDo you really trust me with the fire?â Yangyang asked with a frown on his face as he read through the instructions that were hung up next to the fireplace. âI donât,â you laughed from where you were washing the dishes in the kitchen, âBut if they leave it for us to light, it canât be too dangerous or difficult.â âI appreciate this incredible amount of confidence you have in me,â your best friend snorted before getting to work to pile up wood and paper and carefully lighting the latter. âI made fire!â He exclaimed excitedly, a bright grin on his lips which immediately made you smile as well. âNow just donât let it go out,â you smiled, âIâll go change into comfy clothes real quick.â Yangyang just hummed, carefully adding more wood to his fire so it wouldnât go out again.
âYo, I think I got the hang of it,â he announced once you came back to the warmed up living room with snacks and clad in sweatpants and an oversized hoodie. âIs that my hoodie?â Yanyang asked when you sat down the bags next to his laptop where he had already pulled up the first episode. âNot a chance,â you replied and plopped down onto the couch to snuggle into the hoodie you definitely hadnât stolen from your best friend. âIt seems oddly familiar though,â he mused but sat down next to you anyways, your thighs touching because the sofa wasnât particularly big. âIâve had it for a while,â you grinned innocently, throwing one of the blankets over your legs to keep them warm. âSure,â Yangyang laughed and threw up the large hood before pressing play on the first episode.
Throughout the episodes you seemed to gravitate towards Yangyang more and more the later it got: First only leaning your head on his shoulder, then he wrapped an arm around you to pull you even closer, followed by you pulling your legs up on the sofa, leaning even further into him until you were basically lying on his chest until it became too uncomfortable and you two shuffled around until he had both of his legs outstretched on the sofa with you sat in between them: your back pressed against his chest and his arms around you. âI could fall asleep like this,â you mumbled when you felt your lids getting heavy, the soft melody of the outro lulling you in. âDonât though, weâll be sore tomorrow,â Yangyang laughed, poking your cheek. âIs this your only concern?â âWeâve cuddled like this before,â he just shrugged it off. You just hummed and cuddled closer to his heartbeat, fully closing your eyes. âYah. Donât fall asleep on me like that,â your best friend protested, âThere is a perfectly fine bed waiting with plenty of space.â âNot my problem your body is like 80 percent stupidly lanky legs.â âCome on, get up.â âBut the bed is going to be all cold and itâs nice and warm in here,â you argued. âItâs not going to warm up if you keep clinging to me like that,â Yangyang giggled. âIâm not clinging,â you pouted. âPretty sure you are,â he laughed, finger flicking your forehead, âCome on, lazy. Letâs get ready for bed.â
Grumbling, you agreed and followed your best friend into the small bathroom with the blanket still wrapped around your body where you two quickly washed up. You had been right, the air in the bedroom was icy to say the least. âWeâre going to freeze to death and no one will ever find us, Yangyang,â you groaned dramatically. âThey literally have to clean up before the next guests come here, so our corpses would be here for a week tops.â âYouâre so good at this reassuring thing,â you rolled your eyes but couldnât help to smile. âI know,â he grinned, âTurn around.â âWhat for?â âIâm changing,â he simply stated, already unbuckling his belt. âOooh.â With burning cheeks, you quickly turned around, clutching the blanket tightly in your hands. In quick succession you heard first his belt and then his pants and shirt hit the floor before he rummaged through his bag and stepped into new clothes. âDone,â he announced and immediately jumped onto the bed to shuffle beneath the layers of blankets. Still feeling shy you carefully dropped the blanket from the living room and crawled into bed as well, leaving a respectable distance to your best friend which was fairly easy with how big the bed was.
âIf youâre going to hog all the blankets, I will scream,â Yangyang spoke into the sudden silence that had draped over you. âI bet youâre the blanket hogger,â you snorted and playfully tugged at the blankets to roll them tightly around you. âI swear to god,â your best friend groaned, his feet kicking the mattress in frustration, âI won one tickle fight and I will win again.â Giggling, you let go of your grip so Yangyang could easily pull the blankets back. âGood night, Yangyang,â you whispered. âSweet dreams,â he whispered back and you could hear him twist and turn for a couple of moments before he found a comfortable spot to sleep in. Smiling you also settled in, pulling the blankets tight around you to not let the cold of the room seep into your cocoon. While thinking of what you would do tomorrow, you slowly drifted off to sleep.
The next morning the unforgiving light of the sun reflected by the snow outside tickled your nose to slowly wake you up from your dreamless sleep but you really werenât ready to let go of the comfort that a good nightâs sleep had given you. It was just too cozy beneath the layers of blankets, the warmth of another person seeping into your bones while outside the cocoon it was cold. Wait. Warmth of another person? That had you wake up way faster than you would have liked, your own body going rigid in the hold Yangyang had on you. âFinally woke up?â He asked, his voice deeper than usual and raspy from sleep. âY... Yeah,â you hummed, scared to turn around to look at your best friend. âWhy are we cuddling?â âBecause someone wouldnât stop hogging all the blankets, leaving me out in the cold to sleep,â Yangyang said matter-of-factly, his breath hitting your neck. Looking around you, you couldnât help but chuckle, you really had balled up so much of the blanket on your side of the bed in your sleep that part of it had dropped to the floor on your side. âYou laugh but I was freezing my ass off half the night,â your best friend nagged. âIâll make it up to you with breakfast?â âOmelets?â âYouâre going to help cutting veggies?â âNope,â Yangyang said, popping the p-sound out loud. âYouâre terrible.â âYou left me to freeze!â âFine,â you groaned and wiggled yourself free from his grip, leaving the warmth of his embrace and the blankets, âBut youâre doing the dishes after.â âSure.â
For the first time today, you turned around to look at Yangyang and you really werenât prepared for his tousled hair and lazy smile. Your heart clenched painfully in your chest before it made a couple of summersaults. âMorning,â he grinned, burying himself back into the blankets. âYeah... Good morning...â âTake your time, Iâll shower in a bit,â Yangyang yawned and you couldnât hold back your own which in turn made him laugh. âDonât take too long, lazy,â you smiled before quickly freshening up in the bathroom and starting to prepare the breakfast you hast promised.
Somewhere between filling two pans with the eggs and adding the cut up vegetables, your best friend joined you in the kitchen, his hair still wet from the shower and your heart yet again did acrobatics in your chest. What was wrong with you? This was just Yangyang. Your best friend. You had slept in the same room countless of times. You had made him breakfast even more times because he was not to be trusted in the kitchen. So why was your heart all jumpy around him now? Had Donghyuck been right? But nothing between Yangyang and you had changed. You always cuddled up together when you binge watched shows together or had movie nights with your other friends.
âWhatâs up with you today?â Yangyang asked once you had slid the omelets on two plates and put down a steaming mug of coffee for each of you. âNothing,â you quickly tried to reassure him but the way he raised up one of his brows was sign enough that he didnât believe you. âItâs really nothing,â you tried again, forcing a smile onto your face that really wasnât all that hard to maintain when looking at Yangyang, âI was just thinking about where we should go for our walk.â Your friend just hummed around a mouthful of eggs and pulled out his phone. âI looked something up,â he slurred before swallowing down what he had been chewing, âIf we follow this trail, it will take us around the lake which should be frozen and eventually to a little town. If the ice is solid enough, thereâs a shop where we can rent skates. And if itâs not we can just stroll around town. To go back, we can take the shorter way back along the road we came with the car.â âI like that,â you admitted as you scrolled through the website Yangyang had pulled up on his phone. The prices werenât so bad and the scenery looked breathtaking. âLetâs do that,â you concluded, giving your best fried a bright smile.
Even bundled up in your thickest jacket and with a big scarf wrapped around your throat, the cold air outside of the cabin was unforgiving. But somehow you really liked how clean the air was as it prickled through your lungs before you exhaled again, your breath coming out in a little white huff. âI didnât think it would be so cold, wow,â Yangyang mused as he locked the cabin before walking over to you. âI like it,â you smiled, âWhich way?â But instead of an answer all you got from your best friend was a snowball thrown at you, hitting you square in the chest as you turned around to him. âOh youâre so on,â you grinned, immediately ducking down to scoop some snow up yourself to fire right back. Your loud giggles and shouts filled the otherwise quite air of the forest and you didnât even feel the cold of the snow and the air seeping into your bones and clothes, all you focused on was to get Yangyang back for knocking your hat off of your head when the face definitely should be off limits. âYou little shit,â you yelled, running over to him to dunk his face into the big pile of snow that had gathered in front of the cabin when suddenly you stepped onto a plate of ice, making you lose your footing and the world quickly turned sideways.
You heard Yangyang yell your name before his worried face came back into your field of vision. âShit, are you okay?â âYeah, fine,â you crooked out. The fall really had knocked all air out of your lungs and who were you kidding, you would probably get a nasty bruise on your leg from where you had fallen on the unforgiving ice. âHey, careful,â Yangyang said, taking your hands in his to pull you back to your feet. âFuck,â you cursed when you put weight on your left leg, pain shooting up all the way up to your back, âI donât think I can stand.â âShit, left foot?â You simply nodded and gritted your teeth together as he tried to help you up again, immediately stabilizing you, so you didnât have to put weight on your injured leg. âIâm sorry,â you muttered as he helped you to waddle back over to the cabin. Great. Now you had not only ruined your day but maybe even your whole short holidays. Yangyang for sure hadnât wanted to be stuck inside this cabin with you for two more days. âDonât be. Letâs take a look at that, might be broken or something,â your best friend reassured you.
With awkward little hops, he guided you over to the little sofa in the living room where you had been cuddling all evening yesterday. âLet me take a look.â After shedding your jackets and other gear you had worn to shield yourselves from the cold, Yangyang carefully unlaced your boots with nimble fingers, apologizing every time you winced in pain. âWell fuck. This thing is so swollen,â he announced once boot and sock were off of your foot. âHow bad?â You asked with your eyes squeezed shut, not daring to take a look at it. âHold still,â he instructed you, gently touching the swollen ankle to rotate it carefully which tore a whimper from your lips. âI donât think itâs broken,â Yangyang eventually announced, âTen has sprained his ankle during practice before and it looked similar, so I donât think we need to get you to a hospital right now.â Thank god that your best friend was taking those dancing classes. âOn a scale from when you burned your hand while trying to cook ramyeon in milk to whatever your roommate once left in that pot for too long, how gross does it look?â âItâs really not that bad yet,â Yangyang giggled before he let out a fake gag, âPlease do not remind me of that pot, itâs a wonder that whatever that was had not grown legs and left the pot on its own accord.â
âHold my hand,â you demanded, making grabby hands at your best friend where he was sat in front of you on the floor. âYou big baby, itâs really not that bad. Itâs not even bruised yet,â he laughed but took your hand in his anyways, giving it a reassuring squeeze. Finally opening your eyes, you took in the picture: You ankle was definitely fucked. If you didnât know any better, youâd guess that it had already swollen to at least three times of its usual size and pulsating with the blood that was rushing to the surface. âDisgusting.â âIf we cool it enough and keep it still, everything should be fine,â Yangyang reassured you, giving your hand another squeeze and rubbing your leg with his other hand, âYouâre all tensed up. Does anything else hurt?â âMy whole leg?â You slowly said but it came out more as a question than anything else. âLet me see.â âWhat do you mean let me see?â You all but screeched, pulling back your hand to clutch them at your chest instead where your heart was beating in quick succession. âCome on, itâs not like I havenât seen you in a bathing suit or anything. I just want to make sure itâs just the ankle,â he calmed you down. Why was your heart beating so fast anyways? Yangyang was right. You had seen each other in different states of undress over all the years you had already been friends. But for some reason everything felt different in this secluded little cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was like you were seeing Yangyang in a completely different light. He was not just the funny guy who only cared about hanging out with his friends and having fun; he suddenly seemed a lot more mature here. Weird. The clean air must have already gotten to your head.
âI just want to make sure youâre okay,â Yangyang spoke again, kneading soothing circles into your still very much tensed calf muscles. âOkay,â you whispered, slowly unbuttoning you jeans, thanking whoever was listening that you had packed and worn nice panties. With combined effort, you wrestled the damp fabric of your jeans from your legs to reveal that your whole left side had already started to bruise up, dark colors bleeding into your skin. âOh fuck,â you cursed, throwing your head back, âThat looks so bad.â You couldnât help but giggle. âI look like I have been fucking mauled.â âOr like you have a very unhealthy skin condition,â your best friend joined your laughter. But what you couldnât see was how his eyes darted over the exposed skin, not knowing where he should look first. âIâll check your knee,â he mumbled once you both had stopped laughing, gently touching your skin. You couldnât help but hiss when his fingers met your flesh even though he was being gentle. It felt like his fingers left little flames in their wake, leaving your skin tingling. You saw his Adam's apple bob in his throat before he spoke: âYour knee seems fine, but those bruises will turn nasty in an hour or two.â âG-great,â you stuttered, avoiding Yangyangâs eyes while looking down to where his hand was still resting on your knee. âI think I still have some ointment from dance class in my bag that could help,â he mumbled, âI could get that and massage the muscles for a bit in case you pulled something as well.â âMassage,â you repeated, starstruck. âNot if you donât want to but it might get worse if youâve pulled a muscle or something if it keeps being this tense.â Â âI- Yeah. Ok,â you stuttered. âDonât move.â âFunny,â you grumbled as Yangyang went to fetch his ointment from the bedroom.
âItâs going to be cold,â he warned you when he sat back down in front of you again, lathering up his hands with the strong smelling ointment before he gently pressed down on the muscles of your calf, his fingers working on the knots in your muscle before slowly making their way upwards. You had to bite your lip in order to keep any noise from slipping once his fingers had reached the skin just above your knee. âYouâre really tense,â Yangyang mumbled after a while, his fingers itching almost dangerously high on your thigh by now, kneading your sensitive flesh. âYeah, youâre just. Iâm- yeah,â you really didnât know where you were going with this answer, hyper aware of his fingers on your skin. âShould I stop?â âNo, it feels good. Itâs just...â âWeird?â âA little,â you admitted, making both of you chuckle awkwardly. âMaybe a little heat would be good as well.â âY... Yeah.â You really werenât sure if even less clothes between Yangyang and you would help with whatever this atmosphere between you two was right now. âLetâs get you up and going then,â your best friend smiled and if it was a little less vibrant than it usually was, you chose to ignore it.
Once you were submerged in the warm water, a blissful sound slipped past your lips and you felt all tension that was left in your body leave you, the jets and the warm water effectively relaxing your body and mind. Â âYou good?â Yangyang quietly asked as he submerged himself right next to you, gently pulling your injured leg onto hip lap to prod at the muscles again. âYeah,â you sighed and closed your eyes, willing your mind to shut up about how he was just your best friend and it should definitively not feel this good when he was innocently kneading your muscles. As all the tenseness seeped from your body, his fingers got more and more gentle until they all but caressed the soft skin of your thigh. Â
âYangyang?â You quietly asked after a while when the only sounds between you came from the bubbling of the water and the occasional sound of a bird. Your best friend just hummed to indicate that he had heard you, his fingers stopping to draw random shapes onto your thigh. âIs it weird that I really want to kiss you right now?â At that your friend seemed to freeze, his thigh muscles tensing up where your leg was thrown onto his lap. âN... No, I donât think so,â he eventually mumbled. âNo?â âNo. Because I kind of really want to kiss you as well,â he confessed, his dark eyes finding yours and the amount of trust and openness in his eyes momentarily took your breath away. âThen kiss me,â you breathed. âI- I donât want to ruin our friendship,â he replied but inched closer to you anyways. âIt wonât,â you promised, gently cupping your best friendâs jaw and stroking your thumb along his cheekbone. âPromise?â He asked, his voice barely above a whisper. âPromise,â you whispered back before you let your eyes flutter closed when your lips finally met in a delicate kiss, barely more than a gently press of lips.
When you separated again, you sighed gently against his lips before pressing another quick peck to them which made your best friend chuckle. âThis feels nice,â he whispered. âNot weird?â You asked just to confirm, gently tracing his features with your fingers. âIt feels just right.â âYeah,â you sighed. âMore?â Smiling you nodded and connected your lips again, firmer this time but still gently exploring this new territory. Slowly Yangyang seemed to grow more confident and he let his hands settle on your waist to pull you a little closer to him, causing you to softly gasp. âIâm sorry,â he mumbled, pressing little kisses to your cheeks and the corners of your mouth until you giggled. âKiss me,â you demanded, wrapping your arms around his neck so your hands could play with the long strands of his hair before kissing him again. By now you almost sat in his lap, the angle a little weird because of how your leg was still thrown over his lap. But none of you seemed to mind as you took all the time of the world to explore each otherâs lips.
After a little while Yangyang broke the kiss to lean his forehead against yours. You couldnât fight your smile, basking in the feeling of being close to him. This close you could count his eyelashes that were stuck together from the water and admire the blush that sat high on his cheekbones. âI really like you,â Yangyang suddenly confessed, pulling your bodies flush together to hide his face in your neck. âI really like you too,â you giggled, running your hands through his damp hair. âNo I mean I like like you. I- Iâve had a crush on you for the longest time,â he mumbled against your skin. With how close you were pushed together, Yangyang must definitely feel how hard and fast your heart was hammering in your chest. What he couldnât see was the big smile that spread on your lips while you were trying to find the right words to tell him that you felt the same, that he was a very special person to you. âYou donât have to like me back,â he suddenly said, tightening his grip on you, âI know you probably only see me as a friend and nothing else. But if I keep this to myself any longer, I might burst. I just- Please donât hate me. Youâre all I have.â
âYangyang,â you gently spoke, trying to pry his head from your neck. âI donât have any courage left to look you in the face as you reject me,â he whined when he wasnât budging, this grip he had on your waist tightening just a little. âIâm not going to reject you.â âYouâre not?â Your best friend immediately straightened up, his face full of surprise. âNo,â you chuckled and couldnât resist to press a quick kiss to his lips, âI think Iâm in love with you as well.â
For a while Yangyang didnât say anything, his mouth just wordlessly hanging open and eyes wide. âI mean it,â you giggled, playfully hitting his shoulder, âSay something, idiot.â âI- I was full on prepared for heartbreak. I didnât mean to confess until Sunday to not make it awkward. It just. YeahâŠâ âWhy would I reject you?â âYou never said anything and whenever I would try to take you out or do something alone with you, you kept inviting the others and simply played my flirting off as a joke.â
Thinking back, you felt like there were scales falling from your eyes when you remembered all the times Yangyang had asked you out to the movies and you had dragged Donghyuck or Renjun with you. Or when you had invited him for movie night and his face fell when he saw Jaemin and Jeno already sitting on your sofa. Or when he had invited you to one of his dance shows and you had marveled about how graceful Ten could dance and he had become all grumpy.
âHoly fuck, Iâve been so oblivious,â you groaned, pillowing your head on his chest that shook with laughter. âIâll forgive you if you become my girlfriend,â Yangyang gently spoke, combing his hands through your hair. âYes,â you breathed, your heart fluttering wildly. âSeal it with a kiss?â He didnât need to say anything else because you quickly pressed your lips together again, hoping Yangyang could feel all your love and you could at least make up for the pain you had caused him.
âMe too,â he whispered against your lips in between kisses, âI love you too, idiot.â âYour idiot,â you grinned. âAll mine,â Yangyang smiled brightly. And if you two shared more kisses and sweet giggles beneath the sky in the hot tub next to your cabin, only Mother Nature would know about it.

Omg can you write about coops going live on instagram and answering TONS of fans questions? And just being domestic and cute together in general
I can, yes! This is partially the 450 celebration--to the lovely person who suggested writing a sequel to one of my favorites, please know that I love and appreciate you! Coop credit goes to @lumosinlove
Check out Part 1 here
âIs it working? I think itâs working.â An explosion of hearts covered the screen and Remusâ eyebrows rose. âYep, definitely working. Hello, Instagram! Iâm Remus Lupin, winger for the Lions.â
âAnd Iâm Sirius Black, center and team captain.â Sirius waved at the phone. âWe had a great time answering your questions last month and we figured weâd come back to do it again, since there were so many people we couldnât get around to in those few minutes.â
âI can already see a bunch coming in. Should we start?â Remus asked, turning to him with a small smile.
âYou go first.â
âAlright, first questionâŠ.â He squinted at the screen. âHow long have we been together? Weâve been dating for just over a year now, but weâve known each other for three-ish.â
Sirius snorted when he read the next question. âWhat do we do in our free time? Itâs cute that you think we have free time. Um, we read a lot. Sometimes Iâll play video games with the guys.â
âIf we have a free weekend, weâll go hiking or take a short road trip. Practice takes up four or five hours a day, so weâre very low-key, which I think surprises people.â Remus scrolled down a bit. âWhat are our favorite foods?â
âDonât say it.â Sirius said immediately. âDonât you dare.â
âFine, fine.â Just as Sirius began to answer, he coughed, âpineapple pizza.â
âNo!â Sirius smacked Remus on the arm with a pillow as he laughed. âMenace. My favorite food is pasta, because itâs versatile and Iâm not a heathen. All of you who are agreeing with him, stop it right now. Iâm very disappointed in your tastebuds. Next questionâŠdo either of us cook? We do, yeah.â
Remus gave him a look. âDo you, though?â
âThatâs a funny thing to hear coming from the man who said heâd die for one of my grilled cheeses yesterday,â Sirius countered.
âFair point. Yes, we both cook, but I generally do it more often because I enjoy it.â
Sirius looked back at the camera with sad eyes. âHe kicked me out of the kitchen last week.â
âYou kept stealing bites of soup!â Remus laughed. âIt wasnât even done, you could have gotten salmonella!â
âYou canât get salmonella from soup,â Sirius scoffed. The comment section went wild. ââŠapparently you can. Huh.â
âNext question, before we get too off-track. Who is the more dramatic one?â Remus folded his hands and rested his chin on top. âIâm giving you three guesses and the first two donât count.â
Sirius rolled his eyes. âYouâre plenty dramatic.â
âUh-huh, sure.â
âMoving on! Oooo, this one is for me specifically.â He shifted closer, wrapping an arm around Remusâ waist as he read. âSirius: does Regulusâyou spelled that wrong by the way, thereâs only one âgââdoes Regulus still live with you? If yes, how does that work?â
âIâm telling him someone spelled his name wrong,â Remus said as he pulled his phone out of his pocket. âHeâll get a kick out of it.â
âHeâll be so pissed,â Sirius agreed. âNope, Reg moved out a few months ago and now lives with Pascal Dumais, but it was really neat to have him around. Heâs still got a room here and it was nice spending so much time with him after we didnât talk for a while. Heâs awful about vacuuming, though.â
âAw, people think thatâs cute.â Remus smiled as he read the responses. âOhoho, people are getting nosy. What do we argue about the most?â
âIâm not sure, actually. Maybe chores?â
âI was going to say practice time. Weâve gotten into a couple tiffs about watching tape or running drills after we get home.â
âThatâs true.â Sirius frowned at the screen. âFor those of you who apparently think thatâs all one-sided: itâs really not.â
âHe came downstairs to get me at ten or eleven at night the other day. Weâre both hockey nerds, so it happens from time to time.â
âAre we going to keep doing tiktoks? Oh, for sure, theyâre a ton of fun.â
âAbsolutely. Where else am I going to get the inspiration to glue things shut just to irritate him?â
Sirius shook his head with a smile. âDiablotin.â
âNothing like being called a gremlin by your fiancĂ©,â Remus laughed, tapping the screen. âOkayâŠwhoâs the best in bed?â
âIâd say we both sleep really well,â Sirius said. âYou talk sometimes, which is really funny.â
Remus glanced over. âDo I really?â
âYep. I think you were grocery shopping the other night. You kept saying orange juice very adamantly.â
âInteresting. I agree, though, we both value sleep.â
âThere are too many questions!â Sirius scooted forward and sifted through them. âTo jay-mac 2001, we both love kids and might have some in a few years. No, mermaid queen, we donât really have friends outside of hockey because we donât have lives outside of hockeyââ Remus leaned his forehead on Siriusâ shoulder as he laughed. ââbut Iâm sure that will change someday. Oh, hereâs a fun one: what are our love languages?â
âOur what?â
âLove languages. Like the Buzzfeed quiz Pots made us take last week.â The screen lit up and Sirius looked offended. âOf course we know what Buzzfeed is! Weâre 25, you fuckers!â
âI think mine was quality time.â
Sirius pulled Remusâ arm further around his shoulders and leaned into his side with a smile. âItâs physical affection,â he singsonged, making him laugh. âYour turn.â
âHave you finally found your song?â Remus read aloud. âI think so! We did an interview a while back and there was a question about our âcouple songâ, which we didnât have at the time.â
âThat didnât answer the question, sweetheart.â
âOh! Shit, sorry. Itâs La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf.â
Sirius read the next question and snorted. âThis is convenient. Who swears more?â
Remus looked away. âItâs, uh, a tie.â
âThatâs such a lie.â
He sighed. âItâs probably me.â
âYou taught a literal baby to swear.â Sirius turned back to the camera with a wicked grin. âHarryâs first word was âLoopsâ, but his second was âshitâ and thereâs an eighty percent chance he learned it from Re.â
âChanging the subject!â Remus cleared his throat, then smiled. âAw, I like this one. Whatâs the compliment you get most often from your partner?â
âDoes it have to be verbal?â
âSirius.â
Siriusâ eyes went wide. âNot like that! Oh, fuck, I did not mean that! You always touch my hair, so I figured that was a compliment. Merde.â
Remus shook his head. âWe need a supervisor again. Anyways, you talk about my freckles all the time and itâs adorable.â
âYouâre adorable.â
âSap.â
âYeah.â Sirius kissed his cheek. âWhatâs the best date Iâve ever been on? We went ice skating at the local rink a few weeks ago and it was so much fun. I had never done that before.â
Remusâ eyebrows rose. âI thought for sure you would say the aquarium.â
âThe aquâoh, right! With the jellyfish arch!â
âYeah!â
âNow itâs a tie, I canât decide.â
âThatâs fair. From spaceman93: who tops? We actually donât have a bunk bed, though that would be cool as hell! Do you think Ikea sells them?â
âWe should check.â
The screen exploded into activity again and Remus did a double-take. âYes, we do buy our furniture from Ikea, thereâs no need to sound so shocked. This personâI canât read your username, sorryâwants to know which of us is more cuddly.â
âDefinitely me,â Sirius said.
âFor sure. I like cuddling people, but only a select few. I mean, Iâm assuming you guys saw the Cap cuddles slideshow at our last game.â He laughed when Sirius turned pink. âWhy are you embarrassed? It was cute!â
âThereâs a hashtag now!â Sirius complained. âI have a reputation.â Remus rolled his eyes fondly as Sirius looked for the next question. âHa! Do we ever get jealous?â
âYes, but not for the reasons people might think.â
Sirius laughed quietly. âWe went out to a bar for Kaseyâs birthday a month or so agoââ
âOh, please no.â
ââand a young lady was hitting on me, not taking the hintââ
âJesus.â
ââso Re comes out of nowhere and kisses me full on the mouth in front of everyone.â He snickered and Remus hid his face in his hands. âIt was kinda hot, not gonna lie. Really funny looking back, though. Your turn, sweetheart.â
âWho is clumsier? Ooh, weâre both disasters off the ice. I tripped over the carpet about twenty minutes ago.â
âIâve run into every doorframe in this house at least twice.â Sirius grimaced. âIf I could just tape my skates to my feet and always be on ice, that would be much safer.â
Remus cocked his head to the side. âI dunno, it would be hard to sleep in them.â
âI do that all that time.â
âThatâs true, you take a nap in the hall at least once a week in full gear.â
âReverse Edward Scissorhands.â They had to take a moment to stop laughing before Sirius turned back to the phone. âMon dieu. Alright, what do we have nextâŠwhen did you know I was âthe oneâ? When did you know, mon amour?â
âBreaking out the nicknames, very snazzy,â Remus teased as he rested his chin on his hand. âI think it was just an accumulation of things, and then one day I went âoh shitâ and just knew. Sometime around New Yearâs, maybe?â
âYou only made it two months?â Sirius teased, nudging him lightly.
âShush, you.â Remus nudged him back. âI knew I wanted to propose when I came home from hanging out with Leo and you were napping with the dog. You had done the dishes and left Avatar on so we could watch it together, and I opened the door and knew that I wanted that moment forever.â
Sirius smile was unbearably soft, and he kissed Remus on the cheek as hearts filled the comments section. âIâve never seen so many keysmashes in my life,â he laughed when he looked back to it. âHey, someone addressed one to you specifically.â
âReally?â He leaned forward eagerly. âTo Remus, do you feel like part of the team yet? I do, a hundred percent! It helped that I was close with a lot of the guys from being the PT, so those friendships carried over really well. Being a player on the roster has only made that better and itâs the best job in the world.â
âWho has the better smile? Weâre going to say each other, so I think weâll leave that one to the commentsâfuck, that was a bad idea, itâs moving too fast for me to read!â Sirius tapped the screen desperately, then gave up and waited for the scrolling to slow down. âAsk each other one question youâve always wanted to know the answer to.â
âDo you actually want to get your ears pierced?â Remus asked. âYou talked about it a while ago but I wasnât sure if you were kidding.â
Sirius thought for a minute, biting his lip. âYâknow, I might. It was one of those things where it started as a joke and then I kept thinking about it. Iâm not sure, hockeyâs not the best sport to have things that can catch and tear.â They both winced at the idea. âMy turn. What is it about pineapple pizza that you actually enjoy?â
âIt annoys you.â Remus laughed as Sirius rolled his eyes. âIâm kidding, Iâm kidding! I honestly donât know why I like it so much. Thereâs something about the sweetness that goes so well with the regular pizza taste. Okay, last question for me: how many freckles do I have? Not many right now.â
âSo many in the summer,â Sirius said dreamily. âThatâs the best part of summertime and the only reason I like Florida. They might have bouncy ice, but itâs worth it to see the freckles pop.â
âWhew, Floridaâs getting mad in the comments!â Remus grinned. âGet some real ice, then come talk to us.â
âFinal question, then we really have to go. What does your partner look best in?â Sirius drummed his fingers on his knees. âHis jersey. Or my jersey. He does own a pair of skinny jeans, though, and that was the closest thing to a religious experience Iâve ever had.â
âTheyâre comfortable.â Remus shrugged, but he looked rather self-satisfied. âThatâs all we have time for, folks, but thanks for joining us!â
âGo Lions!â

Dearest Etienne.
Hi again, Iâm having kind of a troublesome day today... not to bother you with my troubles but long story short, due to the pandemic I had been refusing to go out with my âfriendsâ or even visit, and today I saw their posts on Instagram that they had a sleepover without even inviting me ;-;
Can I request a headcanon of the MC finding out their friends back in the human world have kind of removed them from their lives after sheâd been in the devildom for so long and the brothers (and if you wish to) the (un)datables comforting them? :x
I particularly enjoy your writing and thatâs why I come to you, as always hehe :3
With love,
Emi âĄ
P.S: Iâm hoping you donât mind my often requests and that they do not bother you. :>
Dearest Emi! I'm really sorry that happened to you... that was really lame of your 'friends' to do that, though if you ask me, you're absolutely doing the right thing by staying away from others during the pandemic; it's the best way to stay safe. Still though, I really hope you feel better soon and that your day gets better. I absolutely don't mind the requests, and I'm so happy that you like my writing! I did all the brothers, all the undateables, and a platonic one for Luke, and I hope you enjoy! â€
The Brothers And Undateables Comforting The Human When Their Friends Forget About Them
â The Scenario
Tears stung in their eyes as they scrolled through their social media feed, their jaw clenching. Pictures upon pictures flew past as their thumb idly swiped their phone's screen; pictures of their friends together, laughing, joking, smiling... Pictures of their friends all being happy together during the year they had been away in the Devildom...
Pictures of their friends acting as though they weren't even gone; as though they didn't even exist.
It wouldn't have felt so bad if any of them had really acknowledged them after they'd come back. It wouldn't have felt so bad if they'd gotten more than awkward greetings, a few mildly curious questions before their 'friends' lost interest, one or two awkward get-togethers where they just felt out of place and out of the loop...
As soon as they got a chance to return to the Devildom for a while, they practically leapt on it. They saw no reason to stay in the human world, with a bunch of humans who had forgotten about them so shockingly quickly.
But when they did return to the place that felt more like home than their home did, seemingly their sorrow was still noticeable...
â Lucifer
Nothing gets past Lucifer, least of all the sadness of his most cherished human; he senses it without them saying a word.
He'll offer them an embrace; one that's close, genuine, firm enough to be comforting but delicate enough to not be fearsome.
Whether it's a fancy dinner at the Devildom's nicest restaurant, or a quiet night in his room listening to records, he'll do whatever they'd like to cheer them up.
This man is a wonderful listener and he'll be sure to tell them how very much he and his brothers appreciate them, how foolish their so-called friends were for their actions.
(...though inside, he'll absolutely be plotting for those so-called 'friends' to meet some manner of unfortunate situation...)
â Mammon
His human is upset? Oh, Mammon is not going to leave them alone until they tell him what's up; this man loudly wants to help.
He's absolutely appalled. How the hell could anyone not be happy to be with them?! How could anyone just forget them!? He could never forget them...
Lots of hugs, tight - maybe a little too tight but he means well - and loving and supportive, as he tells them (in his tsundere way) just how great they are.
He'll take them out for a night on the town to forget all about those stupid 'friends,' to remind them of all the fun stuff in the Devildom!
By the time the night's over, there's no way the human won't feel cared about; not when Mammon so clearly adores them.
â Leviathan
See this is exactly why normies don't deserve someone as fun and interesting and cool and cute as MC! (N-Not that he thinks they're cute, don't be stupid...)
He'll talk with them about how much their 'friends' suck; he can relate, there are a lot of people he doesn't get along with too.
Whatever their favourite anime is, Levi's absolutely willing to binge it with them; or whatever their favourite game is, he'll play it with them!
It's in his own shy, stuttering, tsundere way, but he tells them that he'll never betray them like that... they're his Henry, after all.
And... he'll give them a hug. Even though his heart is pounding and he's sweating buckets, he wants to show that he cares.
â Satan
...He's smiling sweetly as they tell him what happened, but it's one of those smiles that is barely hiding his deep and burning anger.
He hates their 'friends.' He tells them how awful those 'friends' are, how they never deserved a friend as beautiful as them, how he'd make them all suffer if he could...
Once they get past his, well, wrath, Satan's happy to cuddle his human close and soothe them by reading them a good book.
If they want to go out, he'll take them along on one of his wanders around the Devildom. The stray cat who goes around recently had kittens, after all!
He'll be extra protective, extra affectionate, to make sure they know that they're always welcomed and loved by him.
â Asmodeus
Pleeeeeeeease, human, please tell Asmo what's wrong! He's going to be pouting and clinging to their arm until they tell him...
When they do tell him, his eyes are angry, and he's immediately stealing them away to his room.
So. Many. Cuddles. He's so physically affectionate, and he'll tell them how wonderful they are in-between peppering adoring kisses over their cheeks.
He's keeping his human to himself! Stress is bad for the skin, so he'll pamper them with skin creams and face masks, and he'll paint their nails and coo over how cute they are...
Again, it'll be impossible to feel unloved when Asmo is around to adore them so much.
â Beelzebub
Beel is a bit like a soft puppy, and the puppy eyes when the human tells him what happened are real.
How could anyone forget about them...? How could they be so mean? The human's the most generous person he's ever met...
He just wordlessly opens his arms and lets them cuddle into his strong form, holding them tight.
He'll cook for them; whatever they want, and in big quantities, enough for them to share as they catch up and joke together.
Words aren't exactly Beel's strong suit, but it's so clear how much he cares, and it's so heartwarming.
â Belphegor
Okay, first the human will have to pry him off of them and wake him up. (Belphie has clearly missed his human bodypillow...)
His sleepy eyes will narrow in anger once they tell him. How dare anyone be so mean to his human...?
He'll assure them that those people never deserved them; those people aren't worth anything, they're not worth worrying about.
Lots and lots of cuddles, his hands gently massaging their shoulders to soothe and relax them...
It's hard to feel upset when you're asleep or being cuddled, and Belphie has them covered for both of these things.
â Diavolo
He... does not understand. How could anyone brush off such a fascinating, beautiful, wonderful person...?
He'll offer a hug, though he'll be a little tentative about it; he doesn't want to hurt his dear human... they're much smaller than him...
Being the prince - and, uh, having a bit more money than sense - Diavolo will happily take them out on the town and spoil them.
In fact... he'll throw an entire ball in their honour! The whole Devildom will arrive in his castle to celebrate their return!
Anything to make the human happy... They're so special to him; if they're being treated wrong in the human world, he'll show them that the Devildom loves them.
â Simeon
This man is ready to become the human's literal guardian angel in that moment; he looks so very sad.
His embrace is gentle, warm, and delicate... being hugged by Simeon kind of feels like being hugged by a cloud.
He'll cup their face, telling them that while humans can be cruel, they aren't all like that... but no matter what the humans do, he'll always be there for his favourite one.
If they want to come up to the Celestial Realm with him, he'll do what he can to pull some strings and bring them with him.
That night, he'll read them a bedtime story that he wrote... one about an angel who falls hopelessly in love with a sweet, kind human.
â Solomon
Ah. He sympathises. Other humans can be... difficult sometimes; he's been shunned and forgotten about by people in his time too.
But never fear! He'll cook them a nice dinner! (...it will not be nice, but it will have been made with love.)
He'll try to distract them from how they're feeling by telling them fantastical tales from his long, long life.
But... he'll be sure that they know: in that long, long life, they're the most special person he's ever met.
The human's 'friends' might have hurt them, but not all humans are bad... Solomon's proof of that.
â Barbatos
He knew this was coming, and so he isn't the most outwardly upset about it... though make no mistake, he is upset that they're feeling bad.
Being a butler, he's used to serving, and he wants to spoil the human to make them feel better.
They're going to be treated to tea, cakes... quite literally the royal treatment, from the prince's own butler.
His way of caring is quite reserved, but he makes sure to let the human know how much he enjoys their company, how glad he is that they're back.
And although he doesn't give hugs often... he'll happily make the exception for them, even giving a rarely seen blush and a rarely heard laugh.
â Luke
What?! Their friends just... abandoned them? Didn't want to spend time with them? Ignored them?
He's immediately barking at demanding Simeon to let you hang out with them at Purgatory Hall for a while!
He'll be their friend instead! He'll bake them lots and lots of sweet things, to make them feel better.
He's only a kid, so he isn't exactly the world's best at advice or comfort or anything like that...
But the little guy cares, and he cares loudly, letting the human know that their 'friends' were totally wrong to pass up on such a fun person!

Clubs Arenât My Thing. (1/2)
đšđđđđđ'đ đ”đđđ | iâm REPOSTING this because my already bruised ego absolutely rejects the fact that my writing got 33 notes, that, and i just donât want to continue this if it doesnât get any traction. iâm not good at nsfw, so i feel like if not a lotta people wanna read my work, why try hard on something iâm bad at? anyways, this whole club concept is totally from @/mystic-sky or skyfelt on ao3. pls check her out. if anything is inaccurate its prob bcuz the only reference i have is the club penguin dance club teehee.Â
đŸđđđđđđđ | mentions of sex, drinking, youâre literally at a club.

đȘđđđđ | 2847
đșđđđđđđ | Youâre alone, at a bar, waiting for the end of the night to come. Then again this was bound to happen, as clubs werenât really your thing, but promises of snacks and money from your friends were really what you came for. A mysterious, yet intriguing white haired man approaches you, and eventually he piques your interest. Little do you know, you had piqued his as well, and heâs having a hard time trying to hide it.
Bright, flickering vivid lights was all the human eye could see from where you were sitting. Â Youâre sitting at a bar, legs restless and rhythmically bumping against the table. You had come here for a âfun nightâ, even though they promptly ditched you for the lively dance floor afterwards, you assumed to pick up guys and have some encounters in the bedroom. Â It wasnât quite your thing though, well, you didnât know yourself, you were far too shy to find out, though. Â Thatâs how you found yourself alone, at a bar, completely sober. Â Your friends pushed you, (which was a bit weird since they were no where near you now- so really now, what was the point?) luring you with yummy snacks and treats to come out of your house for once. Hesitantly agreeing, you didnât expect to have them dress you up as well. Â Fighting them off and running for the bedroom door, you hated the very idea of even interacting with anyone. Moaning and groaning like a child that you werenât getting enough for going to a social event, and not wearing your beloved baggy hoodies and sweatpants. Â âOkay, okay!â your friend stood up, hands above her. Shaking her head and letting out an exasperated sigh. Â âWeâll add on a free dinner- on us.â Â Raising an eyebrow, you scrolled through your phone. This wasnât a bad deal, not at all. You decided to not reply, though. Â âUgh, (Y/N), Okay. A 50 DOLLAR GIFTCARD TO YOUR FAVORITE STORE. Do we have a deal?â Your friend blurted out, sitting down on her chair with a huff. Â The girl clearly wanted you to go to the club. Â You grinned evilly, realizing just how much you can get. Â Of course, you wouldnât spend the money without spoiling some of your girlies, but you had gotten even more then you asked for, and well- sure it was a bit mean, but you figured afterwards you could go out with them without the bargaining. Â And so, facepalm after facepalm ensued, offering you more and more unnecessary amounts of money and food, you finally broke under the pressure of being a tad too mean. You werenât planning on torturing your friends for life. Â At that point, who could really resist? Â Now, enthusiastic with your eyes only on the prize, you allowed yourself to be dressed up just this once. Your friends had whipped up the nicest outfit they could without it showing very much skin (per your request!). Â Your friends had let you borrow a rather short white plaid skirt they had paired with a casual simple t-shirt. Slightly sheer, and a warm, yet soft cardigan that was kind of scratchy. Donning a pair of tights that you had picked yourself and your favorite pair of beaten up Doc Martens. You realize that it didnât look half-bad on you. Â For once, you thought you looked nice. Â However, it seemed to pale in comparison with the scandalous outfits your friends seemed to prefer. Dresses hugging their curves, showing as much of their skin as possible without being full-blown naked, you wonder how one can hold so much self-confidence. But you ignore the feeling, repeating to yourself that you looked good in your own ways. Â You wave for the bar tender, feeling a rush of self confidence as you glance down at your outfit. The rather disgruntled man eyes perked up at the request, rushing over. Â âMay I offer you something, maâam?â Â You gulp, the self confidence rapidly crashing back down, almost as soon as it had come up. You werenât quite the drinker, and you werenât looking to find if you were. Running a hand through your already tousled hair, you stutter out a short sentence. Â âCan I have some.. Water? With, uh, ice.â Â He nods, seemingly shocked that you werenât ordering any alcoholic beverages before turning his back on you and quickly whipping up the rather simplistic drink. Well, then again, judging by the outfit, one glance would be enough to tell him that you were forced to come, or shy. Â Â Shocked by how comprehensible you had been when speaking to him, your lips curve slightly into a warm smile. Working around your fear of talking to people in unusual places was good. Â Handing the glass of water to you with cold fingertips, you nod back. Skimming his hand as you did so. You grimace, contact felt weird. Â Taking a sip, you looked away and hoped not to make conversation. Â You heard a rather loud laugh, which was an understatement, because you could hear it even through the mass of chatter and movement of the club. Â Curious by who could possibly be louder than the sheer deafening cheers of a drunken crowd, you look towards the other direction, before setting your eyes on a ridiculously white haired man. Â He was laughing again now, and your eyes immediately drift over to his very defined jawline. No wonder so many girls were around him, by the looks of it, he looked like a famous model. Â His head high above all the females crowding around him, you notice the man next to him. A disgruntled, yet polite looking individual you assumed to be his friend sat next to him. Â He was also towering over the women, nodding and smiling at the many girls tempting him with their bodies, but he seemed so clueless that you doubted he even had a clue of what was going on. Â Fidgeting and playing with his hair, he was clad in an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt. The crowd of women around him wasnât as large as the white haired man, you noted, but still large nonetheless. Â âOh, him?â the bartender blurted, you turn to face him again, cursing yourself for being so obvious in your endeavors. Â Wiping a cocktail shaker down with a towel, he ducks his head, studying the remaining water droplets. You stare daggers at the bartender for interrupting your train of thought, before cursing yourself for being so mean. Â âHeâs a regular, gets drunk quite frequently, and heâs Prince Charming to the ladies.â Â Rubbing the back of your head, you stare back at the bartender. Unsure what to make of his approach on conversation. Â Reconsidering like the good person you are, you thought about how annoyed the guy got talking to a bunch of drunk college kids. He seemed like he had good intentions, and talking to someone that was sober was sure to be refreshing. Â âYeah, I can tell, the guy has a lot of girls around him. He looks really... Lively. To put it simply.â Â The bartender laughed, relaxing himself as soon as he heard the friendly words leave your lips. He finished wiping down the cocktail shaker and proceeded to the neatly stacked cups which had just been washed. Â âNo, the guyâs just friendly. Real hit with the ladies, especially his.. Uh, physical attributes. See his friend over there? Lil bit more modest, he started coming here recently. Donât let that good natured face fool you though, theyâre both the same..â Â You rolled your eyes, Typical. Taking the last few gulps of your water before you slammed it back down. The bartender took the cup, refilling it hastily and giving it back to you. Â You heard several girls giggling, and you glanced back in the direction of the men. The long, raven haired man had his arms wrapped around dozen or more girls, swarming him as if he was a celebrity. Â The bartender was right, he looked so bored when you had studied the two, but here he was now with the same army of girls heeding his every call. Â That left the white haired man alone. Â Shaking his head with a small chortle, he took another swig out of his drink before looking down at the empty glass, he stood up, and by God were those legs long, before walking to the empty stool next to you. Â âYo. Bartender. Refill?â Â The bartender set down the cup he was scrubbing down, rummaging his hands through various shelfs, filled with various drinks and add-ons, before taking the mysterious manâs glass. Â Curious, you take a small peek at the man, almost jumping back when he was staring unflinching at you, too. Taking this as an invitation to gape at such an incredibly well-fit body. Your eyes stare up at what you could; starting with his collarbones. Â Paired deliciously with a simple gold chain, you had to admit, it was a good touch. The simplicity of the chain was enough for you to gape dumbly at anything else that was interesting, and was left dumbfounded by the sheer hotness of... Well, him, and those incredibly prominent collarbones. Â You look downwards, and heâs wearing a black, simple t-shirt. Not a wrinkle, nor specks of lint in sight. Â Well toned arms, and incredibly strong looking ones at that rested idly against his sides. An expensive watch glinted in the light. Â He hadnât quite said anything yet, so you look down even more without hesitation. Almost like you couldnât control yourself. Â Tucking his shirt in neatly was his belt, you could easily tell it was a high-end brand. Casual, wide flared black jeans, the guy really loved black you noted. The accessories made up for it though, various chains were lazily thrown in, and it made the outfit so much more hotter, especially on him. Â âMy eyes are up here, girly.â Â Feeling your cheeks become full to the brim with warmth, your hands fumble about, words formulating at the tip of your tongue to apologize profusely, you look up. Â Circular black shades concealed the white haired manâs eyes, and your heart pounds more. Something about him was so intriguing. Â About to blurt out nonsense about actually being very interested at a wall, he held his palm up, a large toothy grin gracing his features. Â âItâs okay, Iâm into hot chicks ogling me. Especially hot chicks with cute outfits.â Â Everything on your mind was suddenly wiped clean, you open your mouth before closing, unsure about what to say. Â He thought you were hot? Â He thought your outfit was cute? Â He laughs, and you snap out of your daze. Muttering a quick thanks when the bartender handed his rather sugary exotic drink to him. Â âSaw you looking at me earlier, sweetcheeks.â he hums before tipping the glassware near his glossy lips, sipping the drink, looking down at you as he did. Â âNo, I think you saw wrong... Are you blind?â you asked, still recovering from the compliments you hadnât ever received in your life prior to this strange encounter. Desperate to get out of the advancingly awkward conversation, you had never been placed in such a weird setting. Â He snorts, taking another deep sip of his drink. Â âNah. People think that, though. People think Iâm... Old, for some reason?â Â âHm, I wonder why.â replying sarcastically, you felt yourself jolt up, a mix of uneasiness and excitement bubbling up inside of you. By your experience and tips from your friends, these type of guys seemed to like sassy, teasing girls. Â Whipping out your phone from your bag, you try to appear casual, even though your excitement was starting to die down by his silence, turning into dread. Â Whistling, trying to look like you didnât have a care in the world, you physically wince as you realize how stupid you potentially look. Wondering what your friends would say about such an attractive guy seemingly hitting on you, then again, they didnât seem to really care. Â No new notifications, and no familiar faces running up to you with open, friendly arms. Â He chuckles again. âI like your style, missy. You come here alone? Thatâs a shame, pretty girls like you deserve to have someone to come with.â Â You look down, struggling to contain the growing smile. Doing a small little victory dance in your head as you realize that he had literally stated that he liked your style. Â âI did come with someone, my friends.â Â âWhereâs your friends?â he inquired. Â âPartying at the dance floor, flirting with guys probably.â you nonchalantly reply, struggling to hold your tone, but even then it wavered. You didnât get hit on often, and when you did they were there to help you. Â âThat makes two of us, my friend Geto pulled all my chicks, and my pussy for tonight.â Â He said it so nonchalantly, you almost spat out your water. Â âWhat are you here for? Some good dick?â he shifted his arm to rest against the table, his hand against his head, lazily looking at you. Â You study his figure once more, ignoring his previous question. He looked like he came straight out of a magazine, or a movie. Broad, yet strong looking shoulders. Â He looked straight up fake. Â He towered over you, and you estimated that he was over 6 foot. His hair seemed soft, and manageable, and so, so fun to play with. A Deep, yet playful voice that would probably make everyone within a 6 mile radius instantly melt. Â âHm, cute. I like straight-forward girls.â he poked fun at you, grinning carelessly. Â âIâm not being straightforward in any shape or form, what do you mean?â you flutter your eyelashes innocently at him, knowing damn well what he meant. Â âYouâre fucking studying me like a textbook before finals.â Â âYou still havenât told me your name!â you shot back without thinking, you didnât want to be caught doing something so scandalous. He winked, you took this as a sign of him following suit. Â âThatâs what makes it fun, baby.â Â âHere, lets trade.â Â You had decided that you really liked his style, after letting you off the hook so easily like that. He was shrouded in a cloak of mystery, and you found it hot. That, or maybe he wanted to just fuck around and have one night-stands, which wasnât your style at all, but you still wanted to see where this would go. Â âTell me your name, and Iâll tell you mine. Fair right?â Â He stroked his chin with his unoccupied arm, contorting his face and making you giggle a little, even though it wasnât very funny. With him, you felt like you could strangely be yourself. Â âHmmmmm....â stroking his chin more, he began to pick up and sip his beverage as if it was a tea cup, holding opposite ends of each other and deeply drinking. He set the cup down. Â âNope.â Â Exasperated, you slam your cup down. Â âThat aside, letâs get back to the point!,â he leaned closer into you, smiling a little as you jumped back. Your confidence when you talked with him had dissolved into thin air. Â âYouâre really cute.â Â Frozen in place, you gawk back at him. Â Â He was straightforward, no doubt it, but you didnât think he was this straightforward. Most men you knew played a game of cat and mouse, only if you caught them you were rewarded. Â Opening and closing your mouth, no sound came out. He snorts, taking another sip and waving the bartender to come back, who was now washing cups awkwardly on the other side of the bar. Â You almost pitied the bartender, the guy had ordered so many refills at this point, you wouldnât be dumb to assume he was either a raging alcoholic or another dumb college kid. Â âRefill, again.â Â The bartender nodded solemnly in reply, swiftly taking the cup. You realize how overworked the poor guy was, wondering how many refills the mysterious white haired man had gotten before you had even step foot in the vicinity. Â âIâd love to take you to the bedroom, baby.â he nods as the bartender returns, sipping and looking back down at you. Â You bolted upwards, cursing as you realize youâre slouching, not very attractive. The straightforwardness from him was, though. No doubt it, but you were really not looking to break your heart over a fuckboy. Â âUh, um.â Â He tips your chin upward, and your heart leaps out of your throat. There was something so undeniably attractive about this act, maybe it was the way he knew how to make you into pudding, or maybe it was the aura of dominance. Â Haughtiness literally radiated off of him, as if he knew he could pull a girl in under 1 minute. Well, then again, he probably did know. Â Fuck, what were you thinking, this was a complete stranger that could probably pull chicks more attractive then you, times 100. Â âAw, shy? Cute. Donât worry, youâre intriguing, and if youâre bad at sex, not to worry. Iâll do it all, and Iâm good. Maybe give you a few lessons here and there.â he chirped, tilting his head, curiosity evident. Â âBut, itâs all up to you, sugar. Iâm not trying to force you into this.â the man added. Â He did seem hot, and this was really a one-in-a-million chance. No one had really looked at you that way at the level of attractiveness that he had. You didnât want to regret anything, and getting out of your shell was good right? Â What could go wrong? Â â...I wouldnât mind.â Â A crooked smirk spread across his face. Â âIâll call an Uber.â

hiiiii can you please write a Tremmett fic of them going camping as like a vacation but itâs anything but that!
Camping - Tremmett
Thanks for the prompt! I'll admit it was a bit challenging at first - it had me looking up everything from camping movies to raccoons. I enjoyed writing it though - I really hope you like it :)
Emmett scrolled through the list '30 Fun Date Ideas during the Pandemic' which he'd found online. Both him and Travis had taken 3 days off to treat themselves to some well needed time together. With the pandemic, and the exhausting shifts they had lately, they needed to get away for a few days.
Ideally, they would've liked to spend their holidays abroad, however the pandemic they were currently in made that a bit difficult.
"What about camping?" Emmett asked casually, eyes still on the screen.
"Um, no."
Emmett, surprised by how quickly Travis had come to that conclusion, looked up at him, "Why not?"
"When I said I wanted a vacation I meant a nice, relaxing resort or hotel near the sea not the woods," Travis complained.
"Well do you have any better ideas? You know, considering the pandemic and all," Emmett replied. They had been sitting there for an hour trying to come up with something and had gotten nowhere, there seemed to be some sort of limitation for every idea.
"Yes!" Travis exclaimed, serious for a few seconds until his face dropped into a pout and said, "No, no I don't."
Emmett laughed, shaking his head at his boyfriend "You know... the last time I went camping two people got attacked by a bear," Travis reminded him.
"Yeah, I'm so glad I wasn't on that trip," Emmett laughed, lucky to have joined the fire station a few weeks later.
"Are we seriously settling on going camping? I mean, no toilets, no electricity, no internet. Not to mention it's uncomfortable sleeping in a tent."
"But you'll be with me."
"Ok fine. On two conditions though, we make smores and cuddle in the tent."
"Deal," Emmett agreed, smiling at his boyfriend's antics.
"Ok I think we're almost there, get the map out so we can find that spot we picked out."
Emmett reached back and rummaged through one of the many bags they had packed full of things they probably wouldn't even touch. "Oh no."
Travis flipped his head around to look at Emmett, saying "Please don't tell me you forgot the map."
Emmett gave him a guilty look, saying "I swear I packed everything. I'll try look it up on my phone."
"We're not gonna have any signal over here." Travis sighed, parking the car. He rested his head on the steering wheel, letting out a fake cry.
"Ok, ok, we'll figure something out. We can just start walking and find a decent spot," Emmett rambled, annoyed their trip already had a rough start.
As they walked along the path, not wanting to deviate too far from their car due to having no map, they looked for a spot to take post.
"Do you recognise any landmarks from the photos we saw of this place?" Travis asked.
"I don't know, all the trees look the same," Emmett shrugged.
Travis turned to look at Emmett, shaking his head at how useless the both of them were at navigating through the woods without a map.
"You know, at least I didn't forget the food or someâ" Emmett started until he felt himself falling forward, grasping Travis' arm to stop himself from falling face first.
"What the â are you ok?" Travis asked as he helped him get back to his feet whose boots were now covered in mud.
"I'm ok, I didn't realise the mud was covering up a slope," Emmett replied hastily as he looked down at his legs covered in mud. He looked up at Travis who had gone from being concerned to trying not to laugh. "Oh this is going so well," the blonde said sarcastically.
"Am I allowed to say I told you so?" Travis smirked back at him.
As the sun started to set, Travis and Emmett had set up their tent in a quiet place and arranged all their belongings. They began picking up some wood to set up a campfire near their tent.
Suddenly, they head loud music coming from a few metres away.
"Oh no, not teenagers," Travis grumbled as he caught a glimpse of a few young girls setting up a tent in the distance.
"Looks like they had the same idea as us," Emmett shrugged.
"Did they seriously have to come so close to us? Now we have to listen to this obnoxious music on our trip!"
"I hate this music as much as you do," Emmett replied, wishing they had picked literally any other place to put their tent.
Travis froze, suddenly hearing loud moans coming from one of the tents in the distance, coming to a realisation of what he was hearing.
"You've got to be kidding me."
"If anything is going to make this trip any better it's smores." Travis said as he brought the sticks and marshmallows over to the campfire, sitting next to Emmett on one of their blankets.
Emmett smiled, resting his head on Travis' shoulder. "Hey, at least it's a bit less noisy now," he added, while holding his marshmallow over the fire.
"I have to admit, this definitely tops my last camping trip. We didn't even have marshmallows last time." "What is with your obsession with smores?" Emmett laughed, finding his boyfriend awfully cute when he complained about the smallest things.
"Hey, when we're out in the woods, miles away from our warm, comforting home I like to have something that's warm and comforting ok?" Travis replied playfully, kissing Emmett as they laid down, looking up at the stars.
"Is that a constellation? It looks a bit like a horse." Emmett said, finally feeling more relaxed.
"I'm pretty sure you didn't discover a new constellation babe," Travis looked at Emmett beside him, admiring his beauty under the starry sky.
"True, it might just be my imagination," Emmett chuckled.
"Do you hear that? A rustling noise," Travis said as he sat upright once again, looking around. Upon further inspection, he noticed what seemed to be a small raccoon piercing holes in a familiar set of boxes, rummaging for food.
"Oh my god what do we do? It's taking our food!" Travis shouts as he realises what it was doing.
"What?" Emmett exclaimed as he quickly got up too. "Oh shit, this is bad."
Thankful that they had remembered to pack all their comfortable blankets and pillows to make the sleeping bag in the tent more cosy, they entered the tent at around midnight. Travis cuddled up against Emmett, trying to conserve as much body heat as they could.
Every few minutes or so, Emmett would hear noises from outside, and flinched slightly each time.
Travis, realising that each noise was scaring Emmett, held him more tightly and said, "This was to be expected, considering we are quite literally in nature and all."
"I know, I know, I keep thinking some sort of creature's going to come get us. I probably shouldn't have watched Friday the 13th that night with Vic before we came here."
"You probably shouldn't have," Travis chuckled as he opened his eyes to look at Emmett. "So a raccoon took half of our food, there are a bunch of loud teenagers having sex across from us, and we'll probably get lost finding our way back to our car tomorrow morning."
"Maybe we should cut the trip short and just book an afternoon at a spa resort tomorrow," Emmett admitted that they did indeed encounter some obstacles.
"Good idea," Travis smiled.
"You still had fun though right? We did meet both your conditions - smores and cuddles in the tent," Emmett winked as he ran his fingers through Travis' hair.
"Of course I did - how can I not enjoy myself when I'm with you?" Travis replied, closing his eyes as he rested against the younger man.

Who Are You Really?
Spirit Masterpost (Ao3 link there)
Chapter 2:Â Find A Way In
Summary:Â This town's got quite the cast of characters
Spirit spends the next couple of months on reconnaissance. They hop over rooftops and monitor the town where the supposed successor lives. They hadnât had the time to ask for a description after getting their orders from the Demon Bull Family, and theyâre afraid to go back to the trio with their query.
Something about that home is broken. Spirit has spent enough time in a broken home to know itâs not a nice place to be in for long. Best to stay away unless theyâre needed.
The town that the successor lives in is pretty lively. They only assume this is where the successor lives, though, because the successor had arrived to fight Demon Bull King rather quickly and would likely need to be close by.
They watch the city from the rooftops. Bright colors, people, loud noisesâthey would hate to be down there, lost in the madness, but from a far enough distance itâs tolerable.
The people are so...loud. Thereâs so much stuff here. So many things, sights, sounds. Itâs awful pretty, especially the glowing stuff. Spirit tries touching it, but itâs really hot. Whatever it is, it burns.
Theyâre sitting on top of a skyscraper, taking a break with some cheese tea they got because they were curious about it, when the sky shifts. The weather begins changing without reason. That gets them to jump down, because it sounds like a storm is brewing and the higher up you are the more likely you are to be hit by lightning. Getting hit by lightning does not sound appealing.
They duck down into an alleyway, shifting into human form just as Red comes onto the myriad screens all over the city. Â
Spirit has to give him credit, itâs certainly a foreboding speech. They donât do well when giving speeches. Often when theyâre sent to intimidate or kill they either write up a script on their way there or stay silent. Whichever is more effective, anyway.
They lean against the wall as mortals panic, pulling out their nifty little phone. Itâs sturdy, which is good, since they can be a bit clumsy with their things.
âRedâ They type out. They gave him their number when they got a phone, excited to have one. Heâd texted them a lot of boxes. They donât know what the boxes mean, but they hope theyâre nice.
âI heard your speech up on the screens! It was very articulate and polite, and threatening! I think your dad will be mighty impressed with you.
Do you need my assistance? Please let me know. Iâm in the area, so I can come quickly!
From,
Spiritâ
They rock back and forth on their feet, turning their head to the side and watching as the mortals all vanish into their buildings, the streets becoming empty in minutes. Spirit has to admire the speed of it. Maybe they got more vigilant after the attack by Demon Bull King. Itâs only been a few months since the attack, long enough to set in some sense of safety but short enough that they would still be on edge. Spirit knows the timeline of overcoming traumatic experiences. They start to fade out of the forefront after about half a year if youâre lucky.
Their phone buzzes. Itâs from Red!
They blink at the deluge of boxes, using the little arrow buttons on their phone to scroll down.
âi donât need anyone! Thnx for the complimentâ
Spirit blinks a few times, and shrugs. Red never is very eloquent in text form, and theyâve heard that brevity is the soul of wit! Whatever that means. Spirit isnât quite sure. Plus, they can understand the desire to do everything by yourself, especially when youâre doing something to prove yourself to someone.
Since the town is pretty much deserted, Spirit takes the time to walk around, get to know the place. They know it plenty from a birdâs eye view, but whenever you scope out a territory itâs best to know all the angles. They trace the different side streets with their eyes and memorize the street signs. They might make a diagram, to make sure the layout sticks in their head.
Theyâre pretty calm, until they feel the ever ethereal power that comes only from one source.
The Monkey King.
Something like primal terror freezes them in place for a split second, before they race away running as far away from the outpouring of heavenly power that comes with the Monkey Kingâs presence. They canât even think about where theyâre going, feet pressing hard against the messy street pavement. T, crunching on glass and debris without thought because they just need to get away. They know who Monkey King is. They know that they would mean nothing to such a monarch, to such a being. They have no favors to spare, nothing to keep themself safe, so why wouldnât he jump on the chance to get rid of them?
Considering their reputation, considering the times theyâve colluded with Monkey Kingâs enemies, thereâs no reason to believe heâd let them live, if he saw them. No reason to think that he wouldnât leave them a bloody stain on the pavement the moment they appeared in his line of sight.
Or worse, heâll \tear out an eye for your insolence. He clearly doesnât have a problem pulling out organs, from what youâve heard in the stories, and with what he did to Macaque? Heâll ruin you. Well, at least youâd finally have a normal amount of eyes, right?Â
Their breaths come in short bursts. They climb up to the roof of a short building, curled into a little ball, and shut their eyes.
They donât manage a single normal breath until they feel the energy of the Monkey King fade out. He must have left, back to his mountain. Good. That means they wonât die today, which really is something! Every day they manage to live is kind of a surprise, really. Theyâre consistently shocked by their ability to keep going.
They carefully sit up and glance down at their feet. Bleeding, apparently. Not a surprise, given how they werenât careful when sprinting through the street, but annoying nonetheless. They pull out the pieces of glass, clean off the wound with some antibiotic ointment they keep on them at all times (Mom used to make it herself with stuff they scavenged in the forest, and now you can buy an even better version in the store for cheap), and wrap their feet in gauze.
Once thatâs done, they lay back, spread eagle on the roof, staring up at the cloudy sky as they try to regulate their breaths. Theyâre not exactly steady yet, but at least now they can breathe. Soon, though, the sky clears, and Spirit has to squint to keep the sun from burning their retinas. Their phone buzzes in their pocket, and they pull it out, holding it up so the shadow of it falls over their face, blocking the sun a little.
âThe garbage noodle boy will pay!â
They type out a reply.
âRed.
I donât know who the noodle boy is, but Iâm sorry he made you upset. Did you have to leave the weather tower? Do you need anything?
Let me know!
Spirit.â
They get a bunch of boxes and a very hard to follow explanation, but eventually they parse it out. Noodle boy is the nickname Red has for Monkey Kingâs successor, and apparently he came in and kicked Red out of the weather tower. Â
Spirit asks if Red needs help with his next scheme, but Red declines. Thatâs fine.
Spirit knows when they arenât wanted.
As the sky clears, people begin to peer out their windows, and a few brave souls actually leave their homes. Within an hour, the city is back to its bustling state, if a little slow as it tries to reset from the panic. Spirit watches this happens with a fascination one would have with watching ants build a colony. Well, not in the sense that mortals are just like ants, but they are simple in many ways and complicated in others. Peril is unknown to them in a way Spirit never could understand, and to see them grapple with the appearance of it and work it into their community and lives is ever fascinating. Mortals are very tight knit, after all. Everything affects the collective.
Demons are typically solitary creatures. They create small clans, sure, but they do not settle, create towns for themselves.
Spirit flits between the different factions and never settles themself. They have a few caves that could become homes, if they stayed, but they never do. Not when there are favors to hand out, places to explore. Besides, an empty home isnât a fun one to return to.
Theyâre about to head out, disappear into the forest areas outside of the town for the night, but the roof door to the building opens.
âHey,â comes a gruff voice.
Spirit freezes. They turn their head around, slowly, eyes wide.
The figure that stands before them is a stout pig demon, wearing what appears to be a chefâs coat. Heâs got stubble, sharp blue eyes, and small tusks that peek out over his upper lip. He stares at them without animosity. Mostly interest and confusion.
Spirit, at a glance, suspects that theyâd be able to take him, should he attack. A second glance, more a read of a soul, proves otherwise. Whoever this is, thereâs a power theyâre hiding. A lot of power.
âDonât see a lot of monkeys around here,â The demon says.
âSorry,â Spirit replies, immediately. âI-uh-I didnât know this was your roof, I was just sitting up here for the view-I-Iâm leaving, soââ
They donât want to get in a fight. Thereâs no point in trying to throw on glamour, appearing human. And they donât know how to really explain themselves, either.
The demon raises his hands in a peaceful gesture, trying to put Spirit at ease. It doesnât exactly work, considering it reveals the demonâs claws. Dull as they are, Spirit is sure he knows how to use them. But they do recognize the sentiment.
âHey, hey, no need to apologise, âs long as youâre not causing trouble,â he gives them a sort of half grin. âJust figured Iâd see what you were up ta, if you were alright. Not often I find anyone hiding on a roof for a good reason.â
Spirit stares. They donât exactly know how to react in this situation, so they just. Donât. Their tail curls around one leg and they wish they could just. Run. But then he might chase them. That wouldnât be good at all.
âUh.â He scratches the back of his neck, seemingly uncomfortable with the silence. âIâm Pigsy.â
How...appropriate? Spirit fights a giggle, because of course his name is Pigsy, what else could it be? The smile worms its way onto their face anyway, and their ears twitch as they look anywhere but at Pigsy.
Pigsy smiles back and chuckles a little.
âYeah, I know itâs kind of on the nose. Not my first choice of a name, but apparently itâs everyone elseâs,â he snorts.
This time, Spirit does giggle, their nose crinkling with the motion as their smile reaches their eyes. They relax a little. If Pigsy is at ease enough to joke, itâll probably be okay. Theyâll probably be okay.
âYou, uh, mind telling me your name?â Pigsy asks them, and they freeze again, suddenly shy.
They fidget, then sigh. It would be rude to not tell him, even though they wanted to keep a low profile, but Pigsy is asking nicely, and he doesnât seem mean. Whatâs the harm?
âSpirit,â they reply.
With a wave, they leap across the space of the street between the two buildings, sliding down the back side of the building. Itâs easy enough to slip into human form and disappear into the crowds towards the outskirts of the city.
They sleep leaning against a tree. It isnât terribly comfortable, but Spirit is used to that.
The next month is spent really getting to know the town. Itâs a huge place, and Spirit wants to be aware of every nook and cranny, just in case. Theyâre a bit on edge, too, because Monkey King was here, which means heâs unafraid to come back. If theyâre around when he does, that wouldnât be good.
But if they know all the secret passageways, just maybe, theyâll be able to outrun him. From what they hear, the Monkey King cares about mortals, so heâd probably try and mitigate collateral. If they disappear into a crowd, or get underground, theyâd likely escape.
They have plans. They make them whenever they stop on a skyscraper and let the wind blow through their fur, when they look down at the steep drop and think about catching a hand over a thousand years ago, when they think about every step to the present. They have a plan for every street corner and alleyway, should they be caught. They have to. Itâs the only way to survive.
Their plans come to a halt when they feel a soul split. Well, not split, because thatâs not possible, but at the very, least spread out. All kept together by a thin, golden tether that ties them to their source. Â
It starts as just one tether. Then two. Three, seven, fifteen, thirty-eight, a hundredâSpirit goes dizzy trying to count them all, up on the tallest building in the town. The weather towerâs roof basically has seats built into its design, if you push a window open and sit on the glass tile, so itâs fun to climb on top of it.
Eventually, they have to see what is happening, because the city is dancing with golden lights scattered across it, and itâs making Spirit dizzy.
A group of tethers coalesces in a single building, an anti gravity arcade. Spirit hasnât gone in, because they like when their feet stick to the ground, and the amount of noise and bright lights is enough to leave them dizzy for decades. They hop to the roof of it, peering over the ledge to see just who is inside.
âMonkey King?â
Spirit whirls around, and comes face to face with a mortal, wearing a bright orange jacket, red pants, a white shirt with a target on the chest (which, not that Spirit would say, is a bit odd, and is asking for a chest injury), and a red headband.
Then, an identical copy of that mortal appears. Then another.
Suddenly, Spirit is surrounded.
âUh,â they start. âNo?â
Regardless of their valiant effort to make it known that they are not the Monkey King, theyâre dogpiled quickly, grabbed by tens of hands and carried into the sensory hell that is the anti-gravity arcade.
Considering theyâre not being hurt, and considering they canât move their arms, Spirit doesnât struggle much. They just shut their eyes, coiling their tail around their leg and staying as limp as possible. Resistance seems a bit futile, and if theyâre malleable instead of stiff theyâre less likely to be damaged during their, uh, transport.
âIâm really not the Monkey King,â they try again, though their voice gets muffled by the many, many figures holding them.
The group stops. Thereâs a buzz of chatter before one voice cuts out above everything.
âAlright, alright, whatâs the haps? Whatâs got yâall making me step away from the porty?â The voice has a very casual lilt to it, but itâs recognizable as the same voice of all the other mortals.
âWe found the Monkey King!â One of the clones pipes up.
âYou what?!â
âWe got him, boss!â
âYouâokay, okay, lemme see! Drop him!â
Spirit is dropped onto the ground unceremoniously, and the crowd parts so they can look up to this supposed leader.
He looks like the rest of the group, but his orange jacket is tied around his waist and his shirt doesnât have the target on it the rest of them do. Heâs got his pants bunched up at the base of his boots, blue headphones hanging off his neck, and when he glances down at them, Spirit sees a flash of a sharp tooth poking up over his bottom lip.
âSorry,â they say. âIâm, uh, not the Monkey King.â
The ringleader groans, leaning his head back.
âOf course youâre not,â he says, though the tone doesnât indicate that heâs angry at them, which is nice. He turns to the group standing behind Spirit, and glares. âCâmon, boys! I told ya if you saw the Monkey King, you report back to me. No goinâ after him, no makinâ a fuss. If this was the real deal, heâdâve had you poofed quick! The Boss might not know how to make us go away yet, but the King definitely does.â
He gives a quick, cursory glance over the group.
âWe lose anyone?â he asks.
The group shakes their heads.
âGood. Now, next time, listen to me!â he shouts. Â
Spirit flinches at the sound.
The group, thoroughly chastised, all mumble apologies. The leader sighs.
âAlright, alright. Half of you keep on look out, and the rest of you go and play. We got the arcade to ourselves, after all,â he waves them off, and they scatter.
Once theyâre gone, he turns to Spirit. Spirit stiffens and very carefully picks themself up.
âSorry âbout them,â The leader says. âTheyâre not the brightest bunch, and any monkey demon is gonna get them excited. I told them to look out for the Monkey King, not kidnap him, but you spread one brain cell thin enough and things are bound taâ get lost in translation.
Spirit glances around. They look to be backstage somewhere. The hum of pounding bass is muffled, but they can still hear the music. There are no flashing lights, which is nice.
âHavenât seen or heard of yaâ, though.â The leader speaks up again, drawing back Spiritâs attention. âWhatâs your name?â
âSpirit,â Spirit replies. âAnd, um, itâs okay. They werenât very rough handling me, so it was fine. Â
âUm,â They can tell the leader isnât an original, they can see the tether, but they have to ask. âYouâre, uh, like them, right?â
The leader shrugs.
âIf by âlike themâ you mean a clone? Sure,â he leans in close toward them. âBut, uh, keep that on the DL, you know? Donât want it gettinâ spread around.â
Spirit blinks a few times. So, clones. That isnât surprising. Macaque can make clones from his shadows, and he told them that Monkey King can make clones out of hair. The successor must have inherited that power.
The thing that does confuse them, is
âDL?â they ask.
The leader raises a brow. âThe down low?â
âUhâŠâ Spirit fidgets and glances at their feet.Â
The lingo makes no sense. Is it a new thing? Theyâre really bad at keeping up with trends and dialogues. Their ears burn with embarrassment. They must look really stupid.
âJust donât go tellinâ nobody, alright?â The leader clarifies.
Spirit nods.
âOkay! But, uh, why are you hiding?â It doesnât seem to make sense. If the successor made the clones, why do they feel the need to run from him?
âCuz the Boss made us, made us do a bunch of his dirty work, and I donât think heâs gonna like that we got tired of it.â The leader glares out toward where Spirit assumes the rest of the arcade is. âFree will ainât something clones are supposed to have. Iâm a little more, uh, on the wild side. The rest of the boys are pretty simple, so I keep âem close so they donât get into trouble. And hey,â He smiles, all sharp teeth. âCanât have a porty if you donât got a roaring crowd.â
Well then. That certainly changes things. Spirit has never wondered about the sentience of clones, considering theyâve never interacted with them for long. Macaqueâs shadow clones are more extensions of himself than they are sentient creatures, and they never talk. But, if clones really do become sentient, itâs a rather cruel thing to strip that sentience away, right? So long as they arenât hurting anyone, anyway.
âThatâs fair,â they shrug. âBut, um, if you want to really stand out, maybe some new clothes will help?â
âThat a fit check?â The leader smirks.
âA what?â
âNevermind,â The leader waves a hand. âWhat you got in mind?â
Spirit tilts their head to the side in thought.
âI think, um...your aesthetic,â they start. âIt doesnât fit with, uh, the others, so I could get you some new clothes. Accessories. As a favor?â They shrug, a bit self conscious.
The leader is pretty confident, and Spirit is decidedly not. Itâs awkward to think that they could be of service.
A blade has a use, but if you have claws that are just as sharp, why buy the tool?
The leader considers this, and then shrugs.
âSounds good, 3 eyes,â he agrees.Â
Spirit blinks. âItâs Spirit,â they clarify.
âSure.â The leader shrugs them off. âExitâs down the hall to your right.â
Spirit nods and dashes off. Slipping into human form is easy as a new set of clothes, though they always have to be wary of their tail, wrapping it around their waist like a belt so as not to arise suspicion.
Sure, demons live in this town, but the ratio seems 10:1 and Spirit prefers to blend in. Besides, if they get mistaken for Monkey King again, they might just scream, if only to startle the crowd so they can get away.
They flit between stores, looking for something fitting for a character like that clone had been. Spirit isnât good at fashion, Macaque picked out their outfit after all, but they do have several eyes for flashy things (two, the third isnât as entranced by such things). They grab a pair of visor glasses, pink to accent the blue. They have these weird lines through them, probably to see through. Spirit thinks theyâd be mighty useful to counteract all the bright lights. Â
Then they look for something orange to replace the jacket, since it seems to be a fixture on all the other clones. They find a kind of garish orange tiger print coat. Itâs pretty wild, and, well, the leader said he was pretty wild. They toss it over their shoulder and head back toward the arcade.
They come in the same back way, because anything to spare themselves the sensory overload of the arcade is worth it, though they feel eyes from all around watching them as they approach the backstage.
Two large bouncers step in front of Spirit, as they approach the backstage, and Spirit nearly trips and falls in their haste to back away. Theyâve never been a fan of looming figures, and even though theyâd probably be the same height as the bouncers if they stood up straight, theyâre far too used to hunching down to do anything else.
âU-um,â they manage a whisper, clearing their throat before they continue, trying to speak up above the din of the music blaring in the other room. âI-uh-I-the boss, uh, wanted me to get him some clothes, soâŠâ
They hold up the items they found as proof, giving the two bouncers a shaky smile.
The two share a look, before one walks toward the stage, leaning down for a moment to talk to someone before straightening back up.
â3 eyes!âÂ
Spirit fights the urge to wince at the nickname, because they donât like that they only have three eyes, they donât like the reminder. Instead, they sigh and smile awkwardly, waving as the leader saunters over.
âHello,â they show off their pickings. âI thought these would fit. Since, uh, neon pink and blue go well together, and, um, I thought this jacket could, uhââ
âItâs way better than the old one!â The leader snatches both items out of Spiritâs hand.
The shades go on his face quick, and he tosses his old jacket so fast itâs a blur as it hits the wall. He slides the new one onto his shoulders and leans back, hands in his pockets.
âDo I look good?â he asks, then continues without waiting for an answer. âNevermind, course I do! Look at me!â
âI am,â Spirit agrees with a half shrug.
âNice work, 3 eyes! The fit fits!â He chuckles, and did his teeth get even sharper in the half an hour or so Spirit has been gone? They canât tell.
He plays with the sleeves of the new coat, and glances down at his feet.
âAnyway, uh.â For a moment, heâs almost shy. âPicked out a name for myself. Figured keepinâ the old one made no sense and all.â
âOh?â Spirit keeps their tone carefully neutral, tilting their head to the side.
âYeah. Porty.â Porty gives them a wry grin. âIf I say it weird, might as well be my brand, right?â
âSure?â Brand? Spirit thought a brand was when you put hot iron on something. Macaque wanted them to do that to a cow he found, but they couldnât. It was too mean.
âAnyway,â Portyâs voice cuts through their confusion. âI gotta get back to my DJ stand. Wanna stay for the porty?â
Spirit lets out a nervous laugh.
âOh, uh, no thank you,â they say, and when Porty frowns, they scramble to explain. âNot that I donât, uh, like parties-Iââ Well, theyâre no good at lying. âI just have uh, really sensitive eyes and ears. It would be too loud and bright for me,â Spirit lands on something truthful as they finish, giving Porty a hopeful smile.
Portyâs expression stays carefully neutral, before he bursts into a sharp toothed grin that stretches wide across his face.
âThatâs fair, but donât be a stranger, kay? Us wild ones gotta stick together!â He nudges their arm.
Spirit thinks Porty is awfully nice and cool, but he talks in ways that make their head spin.
âGot it,â they reply in lieu of asking for clarification, and they disappear out the back door as the music swells again.
They write Portyâs favor into their book just as they start to see the tethers vanish. One by one, like dying stars flickering out, they disappear. Spirit watches, wide eyed, as each of over a hundred vanishes.
There's a pit in their stomach, as they think of the giggly, desperate for approval, mostly kind clones suddenly ceasing to exist. Thinks of the many voices going silent.
Macaque would tell them that clones are a means to an end, a weapon to be discarded after use. But the successor didnât discard them after use, he used them and left them, abandoned them. And now has the audacity to get rid of them when theyâre becoming too sentient for his liking?
Spirit doesnât know the circumstances. Itâs rude to judge a person over things Spirit doesnât know the full story of. But they didnât hate the clones, and Porty, for all his faults, seemed to just want to make a good time for people. Not the type of good time Spirit would enjoy, but they know others might.
Curled up on the roof of a skyscraper, they watch the lights disappear. The arcade, a veritable lighthouse of stars, loses its many tethers in an instant. The mass of light vanishes as if blown away by a gust of wind, until thereâs only one left.
The final one, Spirit knows. Â
It disappears like the rest.
They break into the arcade that night, and find the coat and glasses on the floor, abandoned. The arcade is dark and there is broken glass all over the floor, but Spirit steps around it, eyes only for the coat and glasses. The things they got for him. To prove that he was more.
Now all thatâs left.
They pick the two items up gently and bury them out in the woods. Maybe Porty wasnât a real person, maybe he was a means to an end that got out of hand, but Spirit canât fault anyone who lets them do them a favor. And besides, sometimes all thatâs left of people are memories, and Spirit wants to remember.
They remember Mom, and they know theyâre the only one who does. They can carry that weight for the clones, too, if no one else will.
They get a call from the Long family a month or so after meeting the clone, and isnât it funny how one of the most affluent, mystically inclined families lives just on the outskirts of the town that Demon Bull King was sealed in? Spirit wonders if they settled here for that reason, perhaps guarding the staff that the Monkey King left behind, since Monkey King had left it there without any thought.
Spirit doesnât hate anyone (their father doesnât count, because they made sure he wasnât anyone ever, just a memory in Spiritâs mind, forgotten by time as his body burned on its pyre) but they severely dislike the lack of responsibility Monkey King takes. Not only did he seal away Demon Bull King (Spirit is aware that Demon Bull King was destroying villages and causing a stir, but Monkey King took Red away and what parent wouldnât be angry?), but he didnât even stick around to watch over his seal! He just left it, like the staff alone would be the end-all. Â
Spirit would be too anxious to ever leave something that could even possibly be broken. Maybe theyâre paranoid, but they would have at least stuck around, or left a guard, or something!
Honestly, it isnât surprising that Red managed to break it, eventually. Â
They arrive at the Long residence to a sight of a broken down door and demolished artifacts scattered across the entrance hallway. They blink, three eyes darting around to try and drink everything in.
âAh, Spirit,â Comes a prim voice. Â
Spirit jumps, and turns to find a couple, dressed in green and gold, staring at them. Theyâre dolled up, makeup and everything. Spirit bows, polite.
âHello,â They greet.Â ïżœïżœYouâre in need of a favor?â
âYes,â the woman answers. âYesterday, there was an attack on our home by the Demon Bull Family. Many priceless artifacts were destroyed in the process. We would like you to salvage as much as you can from the wreck, and clean up the rest.â
So grunt work. Thatâs fine. Typically Spirit is called for that sort of thing, if there are secrets involved. And when you have priceless artifacts, you donât want just any random person handling them. Spirit doesnât think theyâre terribly trustworthy, but if someone asks them to be, they can be. Keeping their mouth shut is easy because people donât usually come to them for conversation.
Macaque told them once that they were awfully chatty, but that was when they were younger. They grew up. They usually only talk to themselves now.
âOkie doke.â They nod, turning back to the wreckage.
This should take them a few days, if they pull a few all nighters. Theyâre pretty bad at sleeping anyway, so at least this time itâll be on purpose.
They pointedly donât think about how they told the Demon Bull Family of the artifact that was here. They pointedly donât think about how the Demon Bull Family likely attacked this home for said artifact. What people do with the information they give out is none of their business. Itâs not their fault.
Well. It is. Spirit isnât stupid. Actions have consequences. A domino falls and starts a chain reaction. Regardless of intent, the first domino is the issue.
And Spirit pushed the rest of the pieces down, so the aftermath is their fault.
They start with the biggest pieces of the wreckage, moving out broken stone and whatnot, so that salvaging the finer pieces will be easier. Theyâd ask where theyâre supposed to move the large pieces of stone, but the two mortals didnât seem to like them, so they just bring it to the side of the house. Out of sight for the moment.
They start collecting pieces of broken artifacts, sorting them into different piles for reconstruction later. They cut their fingers a few times and decide to wrap up their hands in gauze to spare the rest of their fingers from mutilation.
While theyâre doing that, someone comes up behind them.
âHi!â
Spirit jumps a full foot in the air and stumbles to regain their footing, nearly slipping on the dusty tile before steadying. The gauze not yet secured sticks haphazardly to their sleeves, and they fidget with it as they turn around fully to see who it is that interrupted them.
It looks to be a girl around their ageâa little younger, they think. Sheâs got the same fine makeup as the two adults who Spirit wagers are her parents, though hers is made less refined in application, instead more youthful and in the form of self expression. Her green varsity jacket fits in line with her parentâs outfit, green and gold, but the rest of her outfit is a bright white only seen in the marble of the homeâs interior.
And then thereâs the dragon blade, strapped to her back. She seems comfortable with it there, which leads them to believe sheâs the new wielder. Which certainly gives her presence weight. Â
Spirit lowers themselves to appear non threatening and demure, and they wave, awkwardly, before continuing to affix the gauze to their hands.
âHello,â they reply.Â
âIâm Long Xiaojiao.â The girl bows politely in response. âBut you can call me Mei.â
âMei,â Spirit repeats, getting used to the word on their tongue, getting over the confusion of someone actually coming up to talk to them when theyâre on a job. âIâm, uh, Spirit.â
âNice to meet you!â She smiles sunnily up at them.
Spirit stands and fidgets, a little, trying to figure out how to respond. They donât know how to interact with people much. Interacting with Red is easy, theyâve known him for centuries, but with new people, itâs hard. Theyâre terribly awkward, and theyâre a monkey demon with three eyes. It isnât as if they can have conversations with mortals without that becoming a factor.
In fact.
âYou know, I havenât seen a monkey demon before. Do you know the Monkey King?â she asks.
Spirit winces. âNo,â They respond, quietly. âHe-uh-from what I hear, heâs kind of a recluse, and I donât interact with many monkey demons,â Spirit shrugs, trying for a smile.
Mei doesnât seem perturbed by their lack of knowledge, shrugging nonchalantly right back, and Spirit relaxes a fraction. Like with Pigsy, Mei doesnât seem to have many expectations on Spiritâs behavior, or requirements of knowledge and or ability. So far, anyway.
Then again, that could be because they know not to expect anything from Spirit. Spirit is well known in the demon world to be as worthless as they are useful, and Mei is from a powerful family that Spirit has done favors for before. The two of them probably knew of Spirit already. Thatâs why theyâre good at knowing that Spirit knows pretty little.
âYeah, thatâs fair. My friend MKâs met him, since heâs his successor, but from what I hear from MK, Monkey King doesnât talk to a lot of people.â She drops the information down in front of Spirit as if it isnât a bombshell.
Spirit blinks a few times, trying to process the information. Huh. So, this girl knows the successor. Interesting.
âMK?â they ask, curious.
Information is important. If they perform a favor for Mei, that might get them an in with the successor, which means theyâll have something against the Monkey King and then they can be safe.
âYup!â Mei whips out her phone, dragon phone case and everything, and shoves the screen up at Spirit, bright light pressing up towards their eyes.
Hand reaching toward their face, reaching digging scraping painâ
Spiritâs back hits the wall. They donât remember backing up, just like they donât remember their breaths picking up, nor do they remember starting to shake. Eyes wide, they glance around, until they lock eyes with Mei, whose phone is still held up in the air near where their face used to be.
âOh,â Spirit murmurs, ears rising up from their previously downturned position. âSorry.â
Mei drops her arm, brow furrowed in concern.
âI, uh,â Spirit scrambles to explain, because they donât want her to tell her parents that theyâre easily startled, that theyâre not good enough, because that could ruin their reputation, that could stop the favor from being kept, it could ruin everything. âI donât like. Things thrown at my face. Without warning.â
âOh,â Mei says, softly, gently, glancing at Spirit with something softer and kinder than pity.
âSorry,â Spirit mutters again, standing up straight. Â
They shuffle off, getting back to work at getting the many cracked artifacts off of the ground. They donât usually have visceral reactions like that around other people. The last they can remember is when they were with Red. Heâd waved a hand too close and theyâd jumped back. He didnât apologize, because Red hates admitting fault, but he did hover over them for a moment, as they regained their bearings.
Mei scuffs her boot on the tile, and then idles over.
âNah, I get it,â she waves off the apology, though Spirit does question how she could possibly understand when they never told her why. âHey, do you have a phone? I could send you the picture!â
Spirit turns to her, glancing down at the earnest smile on Meiâs face.
âI donât know if my phone takes photos,â they reply, pulling out the brick of technology out of their pocket.
Meiâs face drops in shock at the sight of it, hands jumping up as if to snatch it from Spiritâs grip. They hand it to her instead, because Spirit can tell she wants to hold it, and Mei looks at it like one would the priceless artifacts shattered around the hall.
âThis is...ancient,â she says, delicate, like she doesnât want to insult them. âIt doesnât even show emojis!â
âWhatâs an emoji?â Spirit asks.
Mei drops her face into her hands and groans, before perking back up.
âCan I upgrade it?â she nearly begs, eyes sparkling with excitement. Â
Befuddled, Spirit doesnât immediately agree. Should they? They already made Mei upset because they freaked out, it would be rude to deny her something that brings her joy, even if it could come at the expense of Spiritâs phone.
Even more confusing is that, rather than think them stupid for having an inferior product, Mei just wants to fix it up for them.
âUm,â they start, haltingly. âI like that my phoneâs pretty indestructible, and Iâve had it for a while. Arenât, um, newer phones more fragile?â
âNot when I make them,â comes Meiâs cheeky reply. âIâll even use the materials from this one as a base! Itâll be the same, just better! And Iâll be able to send you photos!â
She puts on what Spirit can tell are puppy dog eyes, and Spirit caves instantly. Mei neednât use those on them; Spirit knows theyâre a pushover.
âOkay,â they acquiesce.
Mei cheers.
âPerfect! I think I have a charm that will look nice on your phone, too, so I can give you that!â She rocks back and forth on her feet, looking up at the ceiling in thought.
Spirit smiles to themself, setting a collection of pieces on one of the pedestals spared of the destruction. Tonight, theyâll have to get special glue somewhere to make the cracks nearly unnoticeable. Thereâs a demon marketplace a few miles outside of town, so there will probably be some there.
They walk over to the other side of the hall, glancing over at Mei, who follows them. She fiddles with her phone, and a cursory glance of her screen shows that sheâs researching the model of Spiritâs phone for reference. Huh. Spirit didnât know phones could do that.
Their eyes travel from Meiâs phone to the legendary blade on her back.
âYou can wield the Jade Dragon Blade?â they ask, aiming for nonchalant and landing on incredulous. Theyâre not a good actor.
Instead of puffing out her chest and acting proud, something Spirit would find more characteristic of Mei based on the twenty minutes theyâve spent around her, Mei hunches down a little, looking shy.
âYeah, I just found out. Itâs, uh, pretty cool.â She shuffles her feet, seemingly reluctant to acknowledge her newfound importance. âI was never really, uh, what was expected of by my family, so itâs kind of a surprise that I can use it.â
Thereâs a lot to unpack there, Spirit knows. High expectations for children of powerful families are to be, well, expected, but it doesnât mean itâs pleasant. Spirit doesnât have to see the tired slump of Meiâs shoulders, with the weight of something wearier than just exhaustion, to know that. Theyâve known it since they saw the fervor and desperation Red worked, the way he swallowed hurt at dismissal. Â
Itâs a bit sad, they think, that they see it in Mei, too.
âI, uh, I know how to use a bunch of weapons,â They offer off handedly as they continue to work. âI could teach you some things. If you want?â
Macaque taught them to use a wide variety of weapons, before they settled on their combat sickles, so they know how to use general blades. They arenât a sword master, but theyâre sure they could teach Mei the basics.
Mei perks up again.
âReally? Thatâd be super helpful. I think my parents kind of expect me to already know how to use a sword, since I can wield this one, and if I told them I donât know theyâd get me some stuffy tutor or something,â she rolls her eyes at the idea. Â
âOnce Iâm done with this,â Spirit gestures the mess of the entrance hall. âWe could meet up somewhere to start? Call it a favor.â
Spirit tries not to seem too excited, but opening up a new line of favors with someone is always a fun experience. A new layer of safety, a new token, even. If theyâre lucky, Either way, to have Meiâs name in their book would be awful nice.
Mei opens her mouth to accept, but the hard slap of heeled slippers against the marble floors makes them both freeze.
âXiaojiao,â comes the cold voice of Meiâs mother. âSpirit is here on a job. Donât talk to them.â
âButââ
âEither find someplace else to be or stay in your room. Now,â Meiâs mother is unrelenting, eyes sharp.
Mei gives Spirit a commiserating smile, and then bounds down the hall, disappearing around the corner.
Once sheâs gone, Meiâs mother turns on Spirit, a snarl on her face. Spirit knows the Long family is one of dragons, but maybe they might have forgotten just how protective dragons are of what is theirs.
âNever,â The voice is a hiss, and Spirit hunches down, curling in on themselves. âNever talk to my daughter. You keep away from her.â
Spirit trembles, and nods. They didnât want any trouble, really! They just wanted to help. And Mei owing them a favor means they could interact with her without being as scared as they are, in general.
But, then again, they suppose having a reputation like theirs does work against you.
They work until nightfall, managing to get most of the hard work done. Thereâs still the matter of reconstructing artifacts, which means they need special glue. So they depart late at night to the demon market a few miles out of town.
Itâs more a flea market, not exactly as concrete as some of the other shopping centers Spirit has perused. Itâs actually kind of new, popping up because now that the Demon Bull Family is up and running, demons are crawling in droves to get a piece of the new economic boom.
They find a stand a half an hour into their walk that has the type of glue they need.
âOh, well thereâs a familiar face,â The shopkeep says when Spirit steps up to the stall.
Spirit tilts their head to the side, but doesnât comment. âI would like that glue, please,â They practiced saying it a few-fifty-times in their head before stepping up, so they would get it right. They point to the jar they want with a small smile on their face, to be pleasant.
âAlright,â The shopkeep, a fox demon by the ears and swishing tail, takes the jar and wraps it gently.
Spirit reaches into their pocket and pulls out their coin purse, but when they do, the shopkeep laughs.
âNo, no, your money is no good here,â The shopkeep says. âLet me return a favor, to you.â
Spirit blinks a few times, but it isnât a surprise. People try and return favors all the time, as if they could ask for anything of Spirit and then return the favor on their terms. Spirit may do anything for a favor, but they donât let anyone decide when that favor is returned for a reason.
White splattered red, a smile made dull with crimson spilling over lips. Returning the favor, returning the favor and dying and never coming back and itâs all your fault why didnât you stop herâ
They sigh, stand up straight, and put on the intimidating smile like Macaque taught them to. Wide eyes but with a glow that is more a promise than an effect, and a grin with just enough teeth to show that itâs sharp. It feels weird on their face, but it always works.
âNo,â They respond, voice ever quiet. âIâm the one who deals in favors. I make the terms. And I want to pay.â
The marketplace has gone silent. The shopkeep is frozen in place. Spirit smiles.
âA-Alright,â the shopkeep finally says, rattling off the total. Â
Spirit blinks once, letting the glow in their eyes vanish. Their shoulders fall as they fumble with their coin purse until they pull out the total. The shopkeep hands them the bag, and Spirit waves cheerily, turning around and heading toward the exit of the market.
The demons in the market give them a wide berth, but Spirit prefers that. They like their space.
The whole project for the Long family takes a total of three days, two of which are without sleep. Spirit is used to not sleeping, whether it be from the usual nightmares or a lack of forethought to go to bed, and so they manage. Being without sleep leaves them jittery and off kilter, but Mei has seemingly taken her motherâs warning to heart, and Spirit is undisturbed as they work.
They like reconstructing the artifacts. The heads of the Long family tell them that the family can handle the actual reconstruction of the house, which is a relief considering Spirit knows very little about architecture. Putting artifacts back together is just like putting together a puzzle, and Spirit loves a good puzzle. Gets their brain working.
Macaque had puzzles, but his were always more...violent. Spirit prefers these ones, with the artifacts and without danger.
When theyâre done, theyâre regarded with distaste but not disappointment, which is nice. Spirit is pretty sure most people they do deals with donât particularly like them, because no one likes owing people something. Thatâs not Spiritâs problem though! They always allow people to refuse, but people like convenience, and Spirit is malleable, quiet, unobtrusive, and generally willing to be used as any sort of tool. Theyâre more an object than a person, on the job, and thatâs good! It means Spirit is good at whatever they need to be.
They almost forget that theyâve given Mei their phone, because theyâre leaving the property when she shouts their name.
They jump a full foot in the air, turning around.
âHey!â Mei comes sprinting across the courtyard, skidding to a stop in front of them. âYou almost forgot your phone!â
She holds it out, and it looks very little like what Spirit expects. Gone is the black brick of an item, replaced with a wide, reinforced screen. The case is sturdy, black with purple accents. Spirit feels the familiar material in the black sections. Â
Thereâs a little purple lotus charm dangling from one corner.
Spirit holds the phone gingerly, almost afraid they might break it. They tap on the screen, and it glows! Spirit taps it a few times, but nothing else happens.
âI have no idea how to use this,â they say, looking over at Mei with wide eyes.
Mei laughs, kind and not at all cruel, which is confusing in and of itself. Spirit half expected her to think them stupid for not knowing. But Mei directs Spirit to a stone bench by a pond in the gardens, and carefully explains how the touch screen works, and how to get into the different apps, like contacts and messages.
âI put my number in there,â Mei says, pointing out her contact. âSo that way we can text each other!â
âOh,â Spirit stares, and then smiles, small and shy and pleased. âThat sounds nice.â
How often is it that someone wants to talk to Spirit?  How often is it that Spirit is told how to contact someone for fun? For something besides work? They can only recall Red bothering which is somewhat depressing, but it does nothing to stop the swell of elation that makes their hands shake with the desire to move, at the thought of a new friend.
But to flap their hands like that is childish behavior, so they grip their new phone tight instead.
That doesnât stop their tail from wagging beneath the bench, though.
Once Mei is done teaching them the basics of modern phone technology, she stands, giving them a sheepish grin.
âI should get going. If mom finds me here with you, sheâll get real cranky, again,â She smiles. âText you later?â
Spirit stands, and their shoulders donât ache so much. Subconsciously, they feel the wherewithal to stand tall, for the moment, when Mei gives them such a blinding grin.
âYeah!
They send their first emoji to Red, a little purple heart and the message âRed! I just learned what emojis are! I hope you like this one! From, Spirit.â
Red responds with a bunch of flame emojis, and a single red heart back, stuffed between the fires. It makes Spirit giggle. Has Red been sending little fires in every text? Itâs certainly on brand, though they feel it might be a little redundant. Maybe itâs his theme?
They get a text from Mei.
âHey! I got a race a couple of months from now. Wanna come watch? Call it a favor ;D!â
Spirit rocks back and forth on their feet excitedly.
âMei,
Sounds fun! See you then :)
From,
Spirit.â
They add a little purple heart emoji to the end of the text, and receive a barrage of green ones in reply.
Spirit smiles.

weâre going down [leah rilke]
bring us through: leah rilke book
chapter 2: weâre going down
*not my gif*
The private jet was fancier than any plane Iâve ever been on. Seats where your feet werenât cramped like a bunch of sardines in a sardine can. A smell that doesnât smell like someone just ate the whole Taco Bell menu before they came on.
It was clean and polished. No spot had a stain, like it was brand new. Perfect as one would say.
Hereâs the thing about perfection though: everyone has their own version of perfect.
Hereâs the thing about me: I didnât know that until much more recently.
There were many trials and tribulations with my family, especially when it came to perfection...or well perfection in my dadâs eyes. But somehow, some way, we always came out stronger. There was one time where my mom didnât get the job we needed to really help our financial situation, and my dad got so angry that she wasnât perfect that she had to go live with my aunt for a couple months. But when she came back with a new better job, my dad celebrated her. We went to a fancy restaurant in the city and ate the most expensive food on the menu. Then my older sister didnât marry the guy my dad wanted her to and he disowned her for a few months. Until she came back with more money and a grandkid for our parents. He threw the baby a huge baptism party, spending loads of money buying them a house and the necessities for a baby.
My mom not getting a job? Fixed with a big celebration dinner. My sister not marrying the man my dad wants? Fixed with a huge baptism party and buying them a house.
Iâm valedictorian, on the verge of going to the most prestigious school in Texas on a full ride: Rice University. And then right when everything in life seemed to be perfect, I messed everything up. There was no way coming back up from this one.
I was just sitting at the kitchen table during dinner. Eating momâs classic country fried steak and mashed potatoes with gravy. Occasionally, participating in awkward conversation about how good the food is. I felt like I slept-walked there, barely able to recall the argument before dinner, the yelling, the screaming. Remembering for the thousandth time in the past week, that she was gone.
I sat there awkwardly, waiting for the other foot to drop. That I was just going to get kicked to the curb like everyone else who didnât follow what my dad has planned for their life. But as my younger brothers went upstairs for bed I recognized something on my dadâs face that I had never seen since they found out. His face dressed in a big smile, like he was just told heâs going to Disney World.
As if on beat, he leaned in closer to me from across the table. And I knew that things were about to go for a crash-landing. His unusual happiness at my disobedience was going to wreck havoc into my life.
He cleared his throat hesitantly as my mother joined us back on the table. His breath smelled like his usual bourbon, âSo Raleigh,â he said, crossing his fingers together with my momâs, âWe have a fun surprise for you.â
As if on cue there was a knock on the door. My father gestured for me to go get the door. I opened it revealing Shelby and her parents. I stopped short in my place, both of us frozen with confusion written all over our faces. But her parents had an unfamiliar expression: genuine happiness?
I cleared my throat, trying to piece everything together, âHi Mr and Mrs. Goodkind. Itâs a pleasant surprise. My parents are at the kitchen table.â
I open the door wider for them as the two of them say their helloâs and walk inside, âWhatâs going on?â I ask Shelby and she shrugs.
âI have no idea,â she whispers back, âBut it canât be good.â
The two of us sat across from our parents, as they stared at us with grins on their faces. But itâs as if the grins had a double meaning to them, âWe wanted to talk to the two of you about something. We know the two of you are as thick as thieves, I mean you never shut up about each other.â Mr. Goodkind laughs, trying to ease the awkward tension, but it misses by a longshot.
Me and Shelby laugh along awkwardly, as we look at each other with a side glance. They said fun surprise. Not weâre kicking you out onto the streets. But we knew, from the way that our momâs wouldnât look at us or from the way our fatherâs faces grew more and more stern by the second, that something was about to go down.
My dad fetched something from his office. Two envelopes with our name scrawled across it, with a pamphlet in his name. The pamphlet in big bold letters saying: Dawn of Eve.
âWe want you to have this,â my dad says, âItâs a gift for the two of you.â
We slowly opened the envelopes revealing a plane ticket to Hawaii, along with an itinerary, âItâs a retreat,â my mom blurted, âA beautiful month trip to Hawaii with other girls around your age. Youâll love it. Find your true self. Growing.â
Mrs. Goodkind chimes in, âAromatherapy messages, swimming with dolphins, workshops!â
âA chance for the two of you girls to discover who youâre really ought to be.â Mr. Goodkind says.
And at that point I knew. It wasnât just any retreat, it was a retreat to get our shit together.
I closed the overhead container, like closing the container would shut out the memories too. Looking for a distraction, I opened up Instagram on my phone scrolling through various posts of people back home and celebrities flaunting off their life.
Everyone seemed to have taken their seats. The brunette with a book sat in the back away from everyone else, holding onto the book like her life depended on it. The âput on your seatbeltâ sign flashed above us, as a video began playing on the screen in front of us.
âRight now, hundreds of girls just like yourselves, board charters just like this one, are on route to our retreat in Kona, Hawaii.â the middle-aged lady said.
But I wasnât quite focused on that, but rather the girl in the back all by herself. She was staring blankly at the seat in front of her, not paying attention to anyone in the plane or the video.
âThe Dawn of Eve literally waits for no man.â the lady says, causing me to catch my attention.
I looked at my best friend who was captivated by the video. I give her a look and she just shrugs. The air on the plane was tense as we lifted off into the air. It seemed like nobody wanted to be here. So Shelby did what she did best.
âIâm gonna start an icebreaker to get to know everyone.â she states, starting to get up from out of her seat.
I pull her back down as fast as I could, âShelb, really? Weâre not on a mission.â
But she just pulled out of my grasp standing up. I let out a sigh, even though everyone would hate this idea, what kind of friend would I be if I didnât support her? âSo, in the interest of bringing us all together I would like to propose a little ice breaker.â
I could literally feel everyoneâs eye roll in the room. An asian girl with bangs stood up suggesting âNever Have I Everâ. But of course peppy Shelby shot down her suggestion. She was never one for those types of games. Especially with all of the secrets she keeps hidden inside.
âAlright Iâm gonna start with an introduction and play matchmaker,â she says walking up and down the aisle.
I was trying to pay attention to Shelby, but for some reason I kept looking back at that beautiful brunette. Who did not seem to be interested in anything Shelby was saying. Her nose still knee-deep in that book of hers, curled onto her side, reading like it was life or death.
âAnd this is my best friend Raleigh Fuller,â my best friend says, snapping out of my trance. She looks at you with the look as she follows your gaze to the girl in the back, âWeâre from Dillon, Texas.â
She grabs my hand, dragging me all the way towards the back, sitting next to the girl, âYou two will be paired up together. Have fun you two.â she says to me with a wink before walking back down the aisle.
The brunette didnât acknowledge me though, but rather kept reading her book. I cleared my throat, awkwardly, trying to gain her attention.
âThe Nature Of Her? By Jeffrey Galanis.â I said, squinting at the book cover across from me.
That seemed to have caught her attention, âYouâve read it?â
âNo. I actually never heard of it, but it seems like itâs interesting. If youâve been having your nose stuffed in since I accidentally ran into you.â I say jokingly with a small smile.
The flight attendant came by with a cart full of chocolate cake. We both thank him softly, before indulging in the richness of the cake.
She didnât respond after that all she did was stick her nose in her book again. But it seemed like she wasnât even reading the pages. After three seconds sheâs already flipping onto another page.
I cleared my throat, scratching the back of my neck. I mean what am I supposed to say? The girl clearly didnât want to be bothered. Itâs like the writing in those pages were magical. The old me would just sit back in the leather private jet chair, feeling sorry for myself about her completely ignoring me. Probably thinking something like: wow, I guess Iâm really not cool. Or spit out a random fact since thatâs all I know like: competitive art used to be in the Olympics.
But that past me was probably dug next to the old Taylor Swiftâs grave. The lyric that goes: âIâm sorry the old Taylor canât come to the phone right now...why? Cause sheâs dead.â Yeah thatâs how Iâm feeling on the inside, so instead I say, âYou know itâs kinda rude that weâre supposed to be having a conversation, but youâre completely ignoring me.â
She let out a laugh and took one glance up from the book. Finally being met with her bright blue eyes, âDoes it look like I want to be bothered right now?â
âNo, but it looks like youâre reading the same page over and over again. Like itâs the only thing that can keep your heart beating,â I said, âWhatâs so interesting about that book anyway?â
She studied me for a brief moment. Her eyes leave the pages of that book for more than five seconds.
Finally, she said, âLook, itâs one of my favorite books. But I donât think thereâs a rule against rereading your favorite book over and over again. Thatâs like me telling you that you canât read Wuthering Heights over and over again.â
Now it was my turn to stare at the girl.
She was right. She may have been a closed off book, but so was I. I used to be one of those people who would kill to ask thousands of questions about what that book was about. Or why she loved it so much. I would love to join in and lead on Shelbyâs icebreakers. But now? Sometimes, I donât even want to talk to Shelby.
I wanted to apologize for my comments. These days, I canât control my own emotions or what I want to say anymore.
Iâm sorry, I imagined myself saying, Iâm sorry that I was a complete pain in the butt. I didnât mean to judge you and how invested you are in that book. My parents found out my deepest darkest secret. And instead of accepting me with open loving arms they decided to send me to a retreat. A retreat in which Iâm pretty sure is a conversion therapy camp, but they donât want to say that out loud. So they call it a fun surprise for me and my best friend. While the girl I fell in love with is just gone. I used to be this bright bubbly girl, but now Iâm not. So, please forgive me for my behavior since you probably donât want to be here either.
Thatâs a little TMI, donât you think?
I open my mouth and start to utter those meaningless two words when my best friend came rushing past.
âShelby? Where are you going?â I ask, surprised at how fast she was moving.
âI got chocolate cake in my teeth.â she mumbles, covering her face in her hand and I immediately got the message.
âAh got it.â
Shelby rushed back into the bathroom and I turned to the brunette in front of me again. The closed-book of a girl, opening my mouth once more ready to mumble the two most overused words. But the plane started shaking, jolting us back and forth. The two of us look at each other, tilting our heads to the side.
âHello everyone. Weâre experiencing a little turbulence.â The plane continued to jolt and it seemed like more than just a little turbulence, âActually a lot of turbulence!â the pilot yells.
The lights flashing on and off. The brunette just shoved her face back in the book. This could be our last moments on Earth and sheâs still reading that book! I get up from out of my seat, banging on the bathroom door.
âShelby! Open the door!â I yell.
My blonde best friend came bursting out and she fell onto her knees on the floor. Praying to the God she still whole-heartedly believed in. I fell down on the ground next to her, holding her in my arms as she prayed. I didnât pray, but rather sat there thinking that this was the end.

fitting in part 2
part 1!
pairing: sonny carisi x female reader
word count: 1017
tw: some fluff? itâs more like comforting from sonny. itâs open for interpretation!
a/n: this took a while for me to write, but i actually really like it! i feel like itâs kinda short so should i make them longer moving forward? iâm also thinking for part 3 that the reader is a few months, almost a year into working at svu, because i want to get into the more juicy events!!
taglist: @detective-giggles @lapaquerette (let me know if you want to be added!)
Finally, your first week being a detective was over. You felt as if you made a fool of yourself on your first day even though Carisi couldnât tell. So when the both of you spotted each other at Prospect Park on a warm Saturday afternoon, you after playing a game of tennis with one of your friends, you were taken aback. You werenât necessarily scared that you would see him outside work, but at the same time it was super unexpected.
âHey Y/N, you okay?â your friend asked after finding a bench to sit on.
âYeah, perfectly fine.â you answered, confused.
âThen whoâs that person who keeps looking over? The person youâve been eyeing ever since we finished our game? Donât tell me you already found another one.â your friend said sternly, referring to a new boyfriend, since you had broken up with your toxic on again, off again college boyfriend indefinitely.
Busted.
âPlease,â you scoffed. âNo way would I ever date my work partner.â You pushed any thoughts of potentially dating Carisi far, far away. You didnât want those thoughts clouding your judgement and your current relationship with Carisi.
Your friend cocked their head to the side. âWho said anything about a work partner, love?â
You were at a loss of words. Your friend always knew everything going on in your head. âI have no idea.â you finally squeaked out.
Your friend looked at you and smiled. âWell, while you think of that, I have to go but Iâll call you later okay?â you smiled back and waved as they got up and left. Leaning back, you popped in your headphones and scrolled through your phone, not really wanting to go home, but instead wanting to explore the park more and soak in the sun.
âHey.â
You turned and saw Carisi sitting next to you. âOh hey. What brings you here on a Saturday afternoon?â
âOne of my sisters and the nephews wanted to enjoy the sun and they dragged me along with them.â A soft smile crept up on your face. If there was one thing you learned about Carisi in your first week, it was that he valued family a lot and he would take any moment he had to spend time with them. âSeems like you had fun though.â
âOf course, I love them so much. Just as much as you love tennis.â he replied, gesturing to your outfit and the tennis racket next to you. All of a sudden you felt underdressed with your tennis dress compared to Carisiâs plaid button down.
âYouâre right, I do love tennis. It helps me take my mind off of things and relieve a bunch of stress.â
There was a bit of a silence after you said that, and you wondered if you said something that he may have taken differently than you intended to say. The over thinker side of you kicked in immediately.
âThis has something to do with your first day, doesnât it?â Carisi insisted.
âWhat do you mean?â
He went on to talk about how you shut him out a bit when he took you out for lunch and that he knew you werenât okay when you said you were. He even mentioned Barba a bit. You were a bit shocked, you didnât think Carisi would actually notice. You felt bad, it should have been easy for you to just express your feelings as need be.
âCarisi, I am so sorry. I really am. Barba did have a bit of an impact on my feelings. He seems cool but very intimidating, and I guess it just made me rethink everything, and I didnât realize how that would have made you feel.â you replied.
âYou donât have to be sorry. I felt the same way. I was the newest member before you. Fitting in was hard for me, but over time, I learned to be comfortable with everything and everyone.â
All of a sudden you felt super relieved. Carisi made you feel a bit more welcoming and you werenât mad about it one bit.
âThank you. Seriously.â was all that could come out of your mouth. It not like you could say that another reason why you were nervous around him was because you found him unapologetically attractive.
âOf course. Iâm just glad that youâre feeling better about everything. Speaking of, while weâre here, why donât you continue telling me about yourself? Iâd like to know more about you.â he admitted.
You were eager to tell Carisi everything, but you made sure not to share certain things, like your toxic ex and some of your many college adventures. He looked intrigued and invested as you talked to him about your vast family, the more appropriate adventures you had, how you found your love for tennis among many other things. As you were talking with him for a little longer, you felt vulnerable in a good way. You were glad that you shared a part of your life to him, it made you feel more comfortable around him.
âYou thought my life was interesting? Your life is wild, Y/N.â Carisi chuckled.
âWhat can I say? I wasnât always an introvert.â
There was a bit of silence as you two calmed down from your many giggles. The only difference was that this silence wasnât as awkward.
âWell, I had an amazing time talking to you and learning some things about you.â Carisi paused. âWould you like to meet my sister and nephews?â
You were a bit startled of his request, it wasnât something you were frequently asked. Ultimately, you said yes and he brought you over to where they were and introduced you. You made some small talk with Bella and even played with the nephews for a bit until you had to go.
Leaving the park, you were feeling much better about yourself, not sure if it was the couple of rounds of tennis you played with your friend or if it was spending quality time with Carisi and some of his family. Either way, it was a feeling you wanted to last forever.

Abandoned amusement Parks are the best place for young children (chapter 12)
Fic summary:Â
Techno, Tommy, Wilbur and Phil have been hanging out at the abandoned amusement park in the woods since they moved in. Techno likes knowing he's definitely alone with his brothers Tommy likes climbing on the old rides Wilbur likes having a place to play his music Phil likes spending time with his younger brothers
That is, until a group of brothers calling themselves the 'dream team' move in down the road. Will the sleepy boys give in and share the park or will they succeed in scaring the new kids off?
Chapter summary: Dream reflects on the events of the day
Chapter word count: 1580
AO3
âIâm really disappointedâ
Bad had pulled his hoodie off and stood in front of the trio, hands rested on his hips as he thought about what to do; Sapnap, George and Dream were directly in front of him, sitting on the edge of Georgeâs bed.
âI donât want you guys to get yourself into trouble like this. Play fighting is fine and I know you boys like it but this wasnât a game to them. They were scared. They got hurt. And I know Wilbur was the one who started it, I know thatâs probably what made you think they liked playing the same way you do but I need you to understand that he threw the rock because he was scared and angry. I mean, seriously guys? I can wrap my head around thinking the older bunch were having fun but you canât go and hit a toddlerâ
Dream had felt the crushing weight of guilt fall upon his shoulders at that moment. The realisation that they were the bad guys made him feel a bit sick, the fact that throughout the whole situation, excluding Bad, he had been the second oldest, at 14, and he had led his younger brothers to torment these boys along with him. Bad was absolutely right, he should have known better, he should have checked to make sure everything was okay, he shouldnât have done half the things that he did.
That had been four hours ago, now he was in bed, scrolling through his phone as he tried his hardest to think of ways he could make it right and also ignore his guilt simultaneously. It wasnât uncommon for them to make stupid mistakes like this, theyâd get overexcited and make decisions without really thinking them through - or really he would make stupid mistakes and his brothers would follow him.
He loved the respect they had for him but he didnât want to lead them into doing bad things.
Maybe he was actually just a bad person, the thought crossed his mind more than once over the course of the night. During the talk with bad, Sap and George had mentioned that Wilbur tried to explain to them why they couldnât be at the park. Dream hadnât known about that but he was sure that they had assumed he was trying to get an easy win in the game or something because of his influences. He made a mental note to listen more. Was he really a bad person? He always tried to be good. He was smart and he got good grades, his reports always mentioned him being chatty but never mean. Sugar-coating the truth, that was, he was sure of it. Either he was a very mean person and was only now realising it, or he was an idiot who couldnât read people very well.
As he pulled the plush comforter closer to him, he squeezed his eyes shut. It was only now hitting him that the boys who he had been so excited about being friends with might actually hate them. Itâs not like he could even be mad, he had led his brothers and invaded their space and then hurt them. It was a shitty thing to do. For as long as he could remember he had wanted some friends to play with, aside from his brothers, they enjoyed the same things as him - he had been so sure that he had that but as it turns out, he was just bullying a group of brothers who just wanted somewhere to hang out.
Thatâs what he was, a bully. He was a bully and he was a bad person. He didnât deserve to have people who shared his interests. He was a bully and heâd push them away. Nobody liked bullyâs.
Throughout his funk, he hadnât realised that he was slowly curling in on himself more and more, there was a lump of his comforter that he hugged to his chest as if it was a person. How had he not realised how lonely he was? Only making short cut-off relationships as his parents made them move every few months for work, had he become so used to this cycle that he had stopped caring if he hurt people? Thatâs what it seemed like. But if he had stopped caring, why was he crying?
Wait
He was crying?
With a certain coldness to his movements, the boy brought up a hand to his wet cheek, cupping it and then rubbing it so hard that he might have left a red mark. Crying was weak. Crying wasnât cool.
Other kids might have cried when they moved houses, when they left their friends behind, when their lives changed drastically. Dream never did. Maybe he had always been a bully, thatâs why he never had any friends close enough to cry over.
Honestly, he thought he did now, but he was still alone. So he shouldnât be crying. It was weird and stupid. He was always the strong one, so he couldnât be crying.
Despite his constant beratement, the tears kept flowing. He felt a breath hitch in his throat followed by a quiet, pathetic sob. Really, he had no reason to be crying, he should be working on how he was going to apologise. In this situation, Dream was not a victim.
So why did it hurt so bad?
All he had wanted was a friend, was he really so stupid that he couldnât figure out when he was going too far?
All he had wanted was a friend. Â
Maybe it was because he was so caught up in his own head but Dream didnât notice Sapnap enter. The only reason he knew he wasnât alone was because he went and sat next to him, placing a hand on his back.
It was a household full of teenage boys. They didnât talk all too much about insecurities.
However, they did all love each other immensely and they always seemed to figure it out when someone was having a moment.
âYouâre upsetâ
Sapâs voice was blunt and honest but it was a nice contrast to all the mean ones in his head so, with a teary nod, Dream made the decision to listen to what he was about to say.
âItâs okay. Itâs normal to feel upset when stuff like this happensâ
Dream nodded again, twisting himself around so he was laying on his back and staring at the ceiling, it was relieving to get some confirmation that his feelings were valid but that didnât exactly make him feel any better. He was still bad, he was still lonely, he was still a bully.
The room fell into a thick silence, Sap positioned himself so he was laying down too, just like Dream was, and sighed.
âWhatâre you thinking about?â
âIâm not...Iâm a bad person arenât I?â
Sap shook his head, putting a hand over his own heart subconsciously as he spoke.
âYouâre not. We can..We can make up with them. We didnât do anything SUPER bad did we? We can..Itâs okay.. We can fix thisâ
The boyâs words were jumbled, Dream couldnât tell if that was because he didnât believe what he was saying or if he just wasnât used to comforting people.
After that, the room fell into silence, both boys left to think about what they specifically did to hurt their âfriendsâ.
The distinct rustle of fabric was heard and all of a sudden Sapnap was hugging Dream. It was a little awkward, considering they rarely spoke about feelings or cuddled, but it was also comforting and nice. Sapâs headband tickled Dreamâs chin, his black hair a mass on his chest as the boy clung to him, Dream wasnât sure if it had been seconds or hours before he finally came to his senses and hugged his brother back.
It was comforting.
But his lungs still seemed to ache with regret.
âYouâre not a bad person. You made a mistake, we all did. Youâre not a bad personâ
The phrase was repeated, almost as if it was a chant, over and over in as many different ways as Sap could come up with.
âYouâre my brother and I love you. I know youâre a good person because Iâve known you all my life. You always try to do the right thing and thatâs what matters. It doesnât matter if you mess up because your heart was in the right place. You are a good person, Dream. You thought it was a game, we all did, You didnât mean to hurt anyone, thatâs whatâs importantâ
Dream was nodding along, his cheeks felt hot again so he hid his face in Sapnapâs hair to try and hide any proof of his tears. Boyâs werenât meant to cry. He still felt bad. Â
He felt a little better about being a bad person but he was sure heâd feel guilty until he spoke to the sleepy boys and apologised properly. Sapnap forgiving him meant nothing, he hadnât hurt Sap. He needed to apologise.
âCan you stay in here tonight?â
Dreamâs voice felt weak and it shook with every syllable as he hugged his brother closer. Tonight wasnât a night that he wanted to spend alone, he was far too sensitive, too vulnerable. He was sure heâd need someone with him to stop himself spiraling again.
â..yeah..I can do thatâ
Sapnap wondered if Dream knew this was helping him too.

Threeâs a Crowd
I hope this fic isnât absolute trash after the short break from writing I took. In the span of three days I completely forgot how to write and it shows.
But anyway, hello everyone! Anon requested Jane getting jealous because of Aragon being maternal towards Kat, and I loved that prompt. Iâm not sure I did it justice, but weâre certainly trying. I really hope this fic is in any sense coherent. Sorry for any spelling/grammatical errors, I forgot how to write and my english is not good now.Â
And also - I DO NOT CONDONE ANY OF THIS BEHAVIOR! A lot of what happens in this fic includes toxic mindsets and sometimes toxic behavior, and I do not support that in any way. I wanted to do my best to represent how toxic mindsets can affect a person, and how hard it can be to get out of them. Thatâs why Jane might seem a little OOC, but I did my best to balance everything out.
Writing Masterpost
If you want to send a request or a prompt, my inbox is always open! I publish a story at 8:00 AM PST everyday, so Iâm always in need of new ideas. If you want to be tagged in my works, just let me know and Iâll be sure to tag you!

Trigger Warnings: Toxic behavior, toxic mindsets
Jane Seymour didnât like being busy. Of course she liked to have things to do so she wasnât wasting time, but being overburdened with work stressed her out far more than she liked. For the past week Jane had been overwhelmed with learning new choreography for the show, and the costume changes, as well as some of her lines being workshopped. It took all of her attention, and Jane started to notice how much less time she was spending with the queens.
There was one particular change in dynamics that Jane was starting to notice. Ever since the queens had grown comfortable with each other, Kat and Jane were almost always by each otherâs side. It made sense, with Jane longing for someone to act maternal towards, and Kat lacking any strong maternal figure in her life. The two of them clicked, forming a bond that they both so desperately needed.Â
But now, Kat was hardly ever around Jane. She wasnât avoiding Jane, that much was clear, but the teen always seemed busy with someone else. Namely, Catherine of Aragon. It irked Jane to see the two of them so happy together. Internally, she kept telling herself she held no ill will towards Catherine, but she couldnât help the small seed of rage that festered in her heart every time she saw the two queens together.
Just yesterday, Jane had asked Kat if she wanted to read together. âSorry Jane, Iâm going to the movies with Aragon. She got us these great seats and itâs one of those new, high tech theatres. Sheâs so cool,â Kat had gushed on.
Jane had to keep repeating that Aragon wasnât being mean and was perfectly capable and welcome to spend time with Kat. However, in the back of Janeâs mind, she kept thinking Catherine unfit to spend time with Kat. âItâs a toxic mindset,â Jane kept telling herself, trying to push it away.
She started out small, doing little things to regain Katâs attention. Late at night, Jane had gone to the store to buy a giant box of guylianâs chocolates, Katâs favorite. The next morning, she left them on the kitchen counter with the note, For Kat, the ten amongst these threes. From Jane.
When Kat walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, Jane held her breath in anticipation. Katâs eyes drifted over to the chocolates as she frowned in confusion. She made her way over to the box and read the note. Eyes lighting up, Kat turned to Jane with an open mouth. âFor me?â she gasped.
Nodding her head, Jane tried to conceal the smile growing on her lips. âJust for you Kat.â
âOh thank you so much!â Kat hugged Jane tightly to her chest. âCan I have some now?â
Pretending to look around like she was keeping a secret, Jane put a finger to her lips. âOnly if you donât tell the others.â
Kat laughed and waved Jane off. âAs if. These are all mine. Thank you Jane, I love you!â
For the first time in a week, Janeâs heart unclenched and she relaxed. Kat still loved her, that was good. That was very good.
The next day, Jane woke up bright and early so that she could be ready to greet Kat when she came down for breakfast. Behold her surprise when Kat was already up and about, fully dressed and wide awake. âKat, why are you up so early?â Jane asked, still fighting back slight drowsiness. âItâs only 6:30.â
Pulling on a jacket, Kat shrugged. âAragonâs taking me to this moving carnival thatâs set up downtown. She heard about it through Maria and she wanted to take me.â
Like she heard her name, Aragon appeared from the kitchen. She had paper bags filled with food that she was packing into a travel bag. âThatâs right, Kat,â she rubbed the girlâs shoulder. âMaria and the other ladies went yesterday and they loved it, so I thought Iâd take Kat out for the day.â
âOh,â Janeâs heart broke a little bit. âThatâs nice.â
Aragon flashed her a grin and led Kat to the door. âWeâll be back for dinner Jane, donât worry.â
Kat waved as they left the room. âYeah, weâll tell you all about it!â
The door shut on Jane, her hand half raised in a pitiful goodbye wave. âBye,â she whispered, her shoulders slouching. She shouldâve known it wouldnât last. Kat wasnât bound to her, she had her own relationships. That didnât mean it hurt any less to see her bounding off with Aragon. Was she being replaced? Jane questioned. Had Kat found someone better when Jane wasnât around and realized she didnât want her?
Sensibility told Jane it was only insecurity, but she still couldnât shake it off. If Kat only wanted to spend time with Aragon, how would Jane cope? Would she lose the bond she so desperately tried to build with Kat in the first place?
Setting her face, Jane vowed that she wouldnât let Aragon destroy her and Katâs bond. They had something none of the other queens had, and Jane wasnât about to let that go. The battle was on.
âHey, Kat,â Jane approached the girl a couple days later.Â
The teen was on her phone, scrolling through pictures she and Aragon had taken at the carnival. âHmm?â Kat glanced up, her face brightening when she saw Jane. âHi Jane.â Before Jane could start talking, Kat cut her off and shoved the phone in her face. âLook at this video I took from the carnival. This guy eats fire and then breaths it out. Isnât it cool,â she explained.
Watching the video silently, Jane wasnât paying attention to the guy eating fire. She was listening to the faint dialogue between Kat and Aragon from behind the camera. âHow does he do that?â she heard Kat ask.
âA magician never reveals his secrets,â Aragon replied lightly, âand itâs more fun to watch and be amazed.â
Judging by Katâs gasp, she had agreed. âIt would be so cool to be able to do that.â
The camera shook slightly as Aragon came into frame, her eyes twinkling. âDonât go hurting yourself trying to swallow fire, Kitty, this guyâs a professional.â
Katâs pout was practically visible through her voice. âDo you really think I would hurt myself trying to eat fire?â
Shrugging goodnaturedly, Aragon leaned back out of frame. âI think you listen to your cousin too much sometimes. Iâm not saying that I donât trust you, but I am saying itâs not unlike you and Anne to try and eat fire because it looks cool.â
The video ended along with Janeâs good mood. How could Kat be so enraptured by Aragon? She and Jane had those conversations millions of times, why would she be having it with Aragon now? âForget about that,â Jane tried to cover her annoyance with giddiness, âBecause Iâve got something better planned.â
Raising her eyebrow in interest, Kat leaned forward. âWhat could be better than someone eating fire?â
âI dunnoâŠâ Jane teased Kat, âmaybe the private animal shelter will suffice?â
Practically jumping to her feet, Kat dropped her phone, completely forgetting about the video. âNo way! But you have to make appointments with them, Anna and I have been trying for months, how -â
Jane cut her off. âI pulled a couple strings, donât worry about it. I know how much you wanted to see them, so itâs all worth it.â
âWhen do we get to go?â Kat prodded, bouncing on her feet.
Janeâs heart sped up when she saw the pure happiness in Katâs eyes. âAs soon as youâre ready.â
The animal shelter itself was huge, although there werenât many people throughout. It was a private shelter and the owners required a considerable âdonationâ for patrons to be allowed to come play with the animals even if they werenât interested in buying. It was a lot of money Jane was required to pay, but she would do it a thousand times over in order to keep Kat happy.
Kat was fawning over the dogs as Jane stood behind her. There was a small, fluffy white dog that kept jumping into Katâs lap and attacking her with its tongue. A bunch of other dogs swarmed her feet, causing Kat to giggle. Restraining herself from sneezing, Jane couldnât help the swell of accomplishment in her chest. Kat loved it, and thatâs what mattered.
The fur that was gathering around Jane irritated her skin, turning it red, but she ignored her discomfort. Jane didnât care about her allergy to dogs and to fur, and she would continue to hide it from Kat. The teen was so happy with Jane, she wouldnât ruin it. âJane,â Kat called her attention. âIsnât she so cute,â Kat held up the white dog to Jane, prompting her to pet it. Carefully stroking the dogâs fur, Jane prayed that a sneezing fit wouldnât overcome her.
âSheâs lovely, dear,â Jane agreed, stepping away from the dog as soon as Kat was satisfied.
Setting the dog down, Kat pulled Jane into a hug. Melting into the teenâs embrace, Jane couldnât help a sigh of relief. This was all she wanted. âThank you Jane,â Kat murmured. âI love you.â
Thatâs all Jane needed to hear, once again. The only thing she wanted out of any of this. So Jane contented herself to watch as Kat sat back on the ground and returned her attention to the dogs.
By now, Jane was sure she had won. How could Aragon compete when Jane had taken Kat to an exclusive animal shelter to play with the dogs she loved so much? At this rate, all of Janeâs worries would be for naught and Kat would always love her. All of this would fade into a little bubble in the past and things would be back how they should be.
That was until Jane heard talking coming from Katâs room. Immediately standing up, Jane went to investigate. Chances were it was only Anne talking with her cousin, but Jane still had to know if there was something she was missing. Opening Katâs door, Jane carefully peeked in to see what was going on.
In the center of the room stood Aragon, a small crate of stuffed animals in her hands. Kat was standing in front of her, sorting through the stuffed animals with wide eyes. âThereâs so many,â Kat glanced up at Aragon, âhow much did this cost?â
âMoneyâs not important. You were telling me about how much you loved the dogs at the shelter Jane took you to, so I knew youâd like these too. Think of it as a way to have them with you all the time.â Aragon spoke softly, her hand carefully brushing some hair away from Katâs face.Â
A pit grew in Janeâs stomach. That was something she did with Kat. Not something Aragon did, something Jane did. It was her special thing, why -
Jane had to cut herself off. She kept berating herself internally for getting so caught up with this. All the queens were close, it wasnât against any rules for Aragon to care for Kat. Aragon wasnât a bad person, Jane knew that. But she kept wanting to believe that she was better than Aragon, and that she should be the one giving Kat gifts. This⊠this wasnât the status quo.
Tuning back in, Jane watched as Kat took the crate from Aragonâs arms and beamed as wide as her face would allow. âI love them Catherine, I love you.â
And that was the last straw for Jane.
The next day, Jane had a surprise for Kat. If this didnât win her over for good, she didnât know what would. Aragon and Kat had gone out together for lunch, and the other queens were off doing who-knows-what. Jane was prepared, and she would wait in front of the door for as long as it took for Kat to show up.
Silently, Jane stared at the door. She knew she shouldnât be doing this, she knew it was wrong. But knowing you have a problem and being able to fix it are two different things. The only way she knew to get rid of this deep ache in her chest was to win. To win Katâs affection, to win her attention, and to win her love. This girl was like her daughter, and she wasnât going to let Aragon take that from her.
The door opened, bringing with it lively conversation. âNandoâs never fails,â Aragon laughed, herding Kat into the room. âBut you shouldnât order so much if you arenât going to eat it.â
âOh come on,â Kat rolled her eyes, âhow else are we going to get leftovers for days? Iâve picked up on a life hack or two, you know.â Kat stopped speaking when she noticed Jane watching her. âHey Jane,â she waved. Aragon and Kat stood in confusion at Janeâs still figure.
âIs everything alright?â Aragon was slightly put off by the other queenâs iciness.
âYes, just fine,â Jane replied. âI have something for you Kat.âÂ
Warily, Kat approached Jane and sat down next to her. There was something clearly wrong with Jane, and Kat was quite aware of it. âWhat is it?â she asked.
Reaching under her legs, Jane pulled out a small cage. She opened it, and out popped the small white dog Kat had been playing with at the shelter. Kat and Aragon gasped, both surprised at the furry creatureâs appearance. âJane... IâŠâ Kat was unsure what to say.
âI got her for you, I know how much you loved playing with her,â Jane encouraged Kat to take the dog. Nervously, Kat obliged, picking up the animal.
Aragon frowned and made her way over to Jane. âItâs a sweet gesture and all, but Jane, you know we donât have any way to support a dog right? Weâre going to have to return her.â
âYeah, and as much as I love her, wasnât she already adopted by another family?â Kat recalled.
Batting off the concern, Jane inched away from the dog, her skin already turning red. âNothing a little payment couldnât fix. Besides, you liked her, so it was worth it.â
Still, Aragon was unconvinced. âJane, just because Kat likes the dog doesnât mean itâs a good idea to buy it.â
Standing up, Jane snarled, âJust because Kat likes animals doesnât mean you have to buy her a crate full of them.â She then recoiled, realizing what her voice sounded like. âI - I.â
âStop it!â Kat set the dog down and stepped away from Jane and Aragon. âWhy are you fighting?â
âWeâre not fighting,â Aragon assured Kat, taking a step towards her.
Scoffing, Kat moved away from them. âMaybe it doesnât seem like it, but Iâve noticed. As soon as one of you does something nice, the other has to one up them. I donât need all these gifts.â
âBut you want them,â Jane added hopefully.
Shaking her head, Kat crossed her arms. âI want to spend time with you. Both of you. Together, if thatâs even possible. You two have been at odds for the past week and Iâm sick of it. Iâve tried to ignore it and enjoy the good things, but I canât anymore. Why is it so hard to accept that I want to spend time with both of you?â
âBecause I was here first?â Jane offered. âYouâve always wanted to spend time with me, Kat.â
Aragon tried to put herself in front of Jane. âBecause Iâm here when she isn't. Why keep going back to Jane when Iâm always here for you.â
Biting her lip, Kat couldnât believe what she was hearing. âDo you two even listen to yourselves? This is so stupid. I donât want you fighting over me.â Moving to round the couch and make a clean getaway to the stairs, Kat shot the two of them a disappointed glare. âI canât spend time with either of you, not like this.â
âKat!â Jane called her before the girl could disappear. âArenât you supposed to say you love me?â It was something she had become so used to hearing Kat say to her at the end of every conversation.
Shaking her head once more, Kat turned away. âIâm not sure I can say that truthfully right now.â Then she was gone, the closing over her bedroom door echoing throughout the house a moment later.
Jane turned to Aragon and they both glared at each other. âYouâve been doing it too, huh,â Jane broached, her voice defensive.
âIâve only been trying to make sure she knows I care about her,â Aragon argued, crossing her arms.
âNo,â Jane accused, âYouâve been using her to satisfy your own need to be a mother.â
âWell youâve been doing it for longer than I have.â
Clicking her tongue, Jane sat down on the couch next to the dog. âMaybe I have. But I canât stop. Itâs the best feeling in the world, like a - like a -â
âLike a drug,â Aragon filled in. âI know.â She gave up and sat next to Jane. âYou know what itâs like when Kat smiles at you better than anyone. And once she started looking at me that wayâŠâ
âYou couldnât let it go,â Jane added on. âI know,â she swallowed, âI know you arenât a bad influence. Iâm sorry Iâve been treating you like one. I donât know how to get used to Kat seeing someone else the same way she sees me. Katâs like my daughter.â
Aragon nodded, leaving the two queens in silence. âIt might be a little weird at first,â Aragon broke the quiet air, âBut we could try, maybe, spending time with Kat together? Like she said, it doesnât have to be one or the other.â
Some defiant part of Jane still wanted to resist. She wanted to be the only one, she wanted things to be the way they were before Aragon entered the picture. But for once, Jane took a step towards fixing her mindset. âLetâs do it. If itâll make things better, then letâs do it.â
In a moment of awkwardness, the two queens stared at each other, unsure of what to do next. Aragon stuck out her hand, hoping for Jane to seal the deal. Jane took the hand and the two of them shook on their agreement.Â

1/2 Can I have a Mashup for haikyuu? I'll be Owen Anon, my age is 18 I'm 5'0 and male. I'm more introverted and get easily scared when meeting people. But once you get to know me I'm kinda the mom friend and use the words "buba/baby/hun/love" a lot. I'm trying to get into vet work because I absolutely adore animals, cats are my favorite! I usually spend my free time drawing, writing, and sometimes I just go outside at night to look at the stars. I have freckles but I'm very insecure about them.
Hello Owen! I hope I didnât make you wait too long. I actually kinda went through your blog and in your description you seemed to like Noya a lot Iâm not a stalker, I promise!!! But if I had matched you with him, that would be way too predictable. So after thinking long and hard and drawing a whole pros and cons table with various characters, I came to this conclusion. Itâs your first matchup so I really wanted to make it as special as possible. Lemme know if you donât like this and I can try to rewrite this with another character!
Hanamaki Takahiro
How You Two Met
You guys were classmates for a very long time all throughout school, but the first time you two noticed each other was in your third year when you were seated behind his lanky ass. You had trouble seeing the board, and you didn't have the confidence to ask him to move to the side a little. That is until it became too much for you when you couldn't copy the lecture off the board that was important for the upcoming test. You shyly poked his back with the clicker part of your mechanical pencil, he turned around with a bored expression on his face and raised a thin brow in question. You quietly told him that you couldn't see the board, he muttered a monotonous apology and moved his shoulder so you could see the board better. From then on, he always remembered to sit in a way that would make it easier for you to see the board easily without craning your neck. Whenever he forgot to do that, all you had to do was gently poke him in the back, and he would move aside without a word. That was all the interaction between the two of you until one day you arrived in class and saw him sitting in your seat. He saw you and waved lazily, you were confused, but you waved back nonetheless. He gestured for you to sit in his seat, "It's easier for you that way." From that day onwards the two of you often made small talks, sometimes, though very rarely, he would even sit with you during lunch. It was a comfortable friendship. You guys would often joke and throw around sarcastic comments at each other. He became close enough to you for you to call him âbubaâ.
How He Asked You Out And Your First Date
You knew Hanamaki was in the volleyball club, but you never watched any of his games, nor did he ever bother inviting you. So one day you decided that you would visit him during practice, not because you liked him! It was only out of curiosity, yes, that was it was, just curiosity. You were surprised that the gym was packed with spectators, all cheering for that one brown-haired pretty boy, but your eyes were drawn to Hanamaki. It's not like he was playing extraordinarily but because he looked so different from when he was in the classroom with you, even when he had the same bored expression on his face. You saw him interacting with his teammates, joking around and teasing his friends, your heart may or may not have skipped a beat. He noticed you among the crowd, you were the only one looking at him; he flashed you a grin and a peace sign. Unbeknownst to you, his heart also did a flip when he saw you watching him from the sidelines. Maybe it was instinct, or maybe you guys were way too obvious about your feelings but somehow you both knew that you two liked each other. You were the one who asked him out, this fucker kept grumbling that he wanted to ask you first and how you beat him to it, but he said yes. On your first date, he made it clear that he wanted to do the things that you liked. Oikawa (even though he didn't ask for it) advised that dates find it impressive when you tell them that. He expected you to swoon, but you just shrugged and led him around to your favourite places. Don't get me wrong, your heart did leap in your chest when he said that, but you weren't gonna give him the satisfaction of seeing you flustered. You guys interacted, how you usually would when you two were in class, joking and teasing, but this time you two were more aware of your feelings for each other. Hanamaki noticed a lot of things about you on your date. He noticed how fond you were of cats when you two were at the pet cafe, the way you passionately talked about wanting to become a vet; and honestly, he could not have found you anymore adorable. Since you were the one who was in charge on this date, you insisted on walking him home He laughed but he was secretly so moved. You two walked to his house hand in hand It was a fun date, he was a fun guy to be with.
Whats Your Relationship Like
He finds it so cute when you worry about him and keep reminding him to drink water and eat his snacks, he teasingly calls you mom. He's very observant, so if you're ever feeling down, he will take you out to do your favourite fun activities without saying a word. On chill winter nights, you two will go out onto the rooftop with a bunch of blankets and hot chocolate, and just stargaze. He'll probably rest his head on your shoulder and stick his tongue out at you when you complain how heavy his head is. I see him as the type to not really care much about science but he listens when you wanna talk about it, he'll even ask questions. Though, he'll intentionally try to sound as dumb as possible just to irritate you. He regularly visits animal shelters with you and you two play with the little kitties, he got scratched on his wrist pretty badly. He always insists to let him read your writing but doesn't push too hard if you don't want to. He does, however, badger you on and on about drawing him like "one of your french girls", fucking headass. He doesn't say much about your height, but he loves the difference and often bends down to kiss your forehead or the top of your head. In fact, Hanamaki does not say anything about any of your insecurities but shows you that he loves each and every part of you with small gestures or hidden compliments. You say that you don't like your freckles and he will just hmm in response but sometime later he will walk up to you and grab your face and kiss all over your freckles and just walk away. He likes to lay his head on your lap and just take long naps like a house cat, but when you lay your head on his lap, he starts to bounce his knees, just to mess with you. He gives up after a good laugh and just lets you sleep and absentmindedly strokes your head as he watches TV or scrolls through his phone. Oh shit! You say you can't focus, you have a short attention span? Well, good luck asking for help from this annoying fuck, he won't do shit. In fact, he is so unbearable sweet that he will distract you even more, he'll poke your back and sides in class when you're trying to focus. All in all, you guys are a couple that is also best friends. He understands you even when you don't say anything. He never gets tired of you, everything you do is so cute and endearing to him. He looks bored, but only you know how much attention he pays only to you. I think you guys have a cute and fun relationship. Also, don't let him become unemployed, I beg you.

Writer Asks
Tagged by @sothischickshe, @bourbon-ontherocks and @medievalraven who are all v lovely and for reasons unknown to me, want me to ramble about my fic so like, blame them for this I guess
Tagging @fairhairedkings, @riosnecktattoo, @inyoursheets, @foxmagpie, @pynkhues if you feel like it
ao3 name: ms_scarlet (origin story no one asked for: I came up with it for a creative writing class where we had to submit everything under pseudonyms for anonymous full class critique, which was gr9 and not at all traumatic, and I was deeply obsessed with both the Grateful Dead and Sublime versions of Scarlet Begonias at the time)
fandoms: the only fandoms Iâve written fic for are bellarke/t100 and Good Girls (and Buffy but it was way back in the day, pre-organized archives and has been completely lost to time which is For The Best)
number of fics: 14 (lol, 5 over the course 3 years in t100 fandom and 9 since joining the GG fandom at the beginning of s3, you could say I have been inspired)
fic i spent the most time on: a song inside the halls of the dark for sure, itâs the first multi chapter Iâve ever done and Iâm far enough into it that I will be super honest, I was extremely dubious over whether or not Iâd actually see it through when I started but huzzah! Itâs happening. But yeah, I spend like, a lot of time thinking about it, writing it (lmao obvs), rewatching clips of the show to pick apart characterization and mannerisms, etc, etc. I try to work on it in some capacity every day (sometimes that just means outlining or deleting chunks of my outline and crying about how much I hate myself) to keep up momentum so yeah, def that one.
As far as one shots go, thereâs blood in my body (Iâm holding on) for bellarke, I think I spent a month, maybe 6 weeks working on that
fic i spent the least amount of time on: as the world turns, the blunt burns, I was doing my usual lazy Saturday morning scroll through Tumblr before I got out of bed and saw a post like I want beth and mick to get high together (I would love to give credit but I havenât the foggiest notion who said it, I wasnât intending to write it so I didnât pay too much attention, Iâm the worst, Iâm sorry) and then some dialogue popped into my head maybe 10 min later and I think I wrote the whole thing in like, 45 min on my phone. Cannot emphasize enough how little I thought about it (or proofed it tbh, yikes, so many typos) before posting
most hits: overall, Iâve Got You Here my t100 post s3, alt s4 thing. For Good Girls, a song inside the halls of the dark
most kudos: overall, thereâs blood in my body (Iâm holding on) - bellarke modern au. For GG, still song.
most comment threads: Â a song inside the halls of the dark by a M I L E (it twice as many as blood, the next highest), the GG fandom is so lovely and supportive and friendly and I love you guys, I really do
most bookmarks: same as kudos, blood overall and then song for GG
highest total word count: lol song is killing it
favorite fic i wrote: oh man, thatâs hard. I love them all for different reasons. Blood was my first ever AU (I am a canon/canon-divergent ho) and it also deals with some stuff thatâs important to me so thatâs always going to have a special place in my heart. Iâve Got You Here was the first time I tried to tackle something bigger than a missing scene or short one-shot so thatâs also significant.
Iâm really proud of smoke, fire, itâs all going up because I think I did a p good job with the Rio POV there. Iâd give her a HA! And a HI-YA! is special bc itâs my first outside POV and it was based on so little info it was basically OC, so that was a fun challenge.
All of that said, obviously, a song inside the halls in the dark is my fav. Itâs been the biggest stretch of my skills (I had NO! IDEA! If I could plot and pace on the level required to sustain the fic Iâd originally outlined and itâs only grown from there tbh), itâs also been like, the loveliest experience? I keep saying peopleâs reaction to it has broken my brain and Iâm not actually just saying that. Iâm deeply overwhelmed. And last but emphatically not least, itâs how Iâve gotten to know @nickmillerscaulk who, on top of being an incredible editor (seriously yâall, she is Skilled, Iâve learned so much from her), is such an awesome, amazing person and Iâm so very glad weâve become friends.
fic i want to rewrite/expand on: Oh man, idk. Pills N Potions is the easiest because itâs a prompt collection! Send me prompts! I canât promise Iâll write them right away (my ADHD is so very real and only dubiously under my control during quarantine, so I live in constant terror of losing the thread of song especially this close to the end) but I def want to flex my quick and dirty short fic for funsies skills. Iâm super looking forward to @goodgirlsficrecs prompt-a-thon.
share a bit of a wip or story idea youâre working on: ahahaha oh man, my google drive is littered with partially drafted or outlined ideas. I have a bunch of missing scene things I started at various points in s3 that are realistically dead in the water.
In terms of WIP/ideas Iâm still intending to work on/finish:
A post 311 Rio POV pwp
A fishing/fencing/flute playing fluff for @medievalraven because I keep taunting her with my tags for song
The Good Guys (Rio, JT and Stan) thing that snowballed in a post way back when from @jazillia007, @nickmillerscaulk, and @inyoursheets
I still low-key want to do the transcripts for the Mick, Annie and Ruby group chat. I might save that for whenever I rewatch and have it running concurrently to s3, idk weâll see
A Jewel Thief AU that I am wildly hyped about. I outlined the first chapter of it around when I started posting song and havenât let myself do anything with it because I know once I get started Iâm going to abandon whatever else Iâm working on
More Annie POV, I donât have any specific ideas, I just really love writing Annie POV

Garden Party. A Gwil Short
You can thank @filmsluttâ for that cute little moodboard you see below! I asked her to send me a request because I was super bored and then this came up! Donât ask me how I got this from that from I think itâs sort of cute in a sense.Â
I hope everyone is doing okay with whatâs going on in the world. Please be careful and just enjoy the fact that we live in the same Universe that the Bohrap boys live in.Â
Love you all and enjoy!
Masterlist
Iâd say the best advantage of living on an island far up north would be the smell of the North Atlantic Ocean. The people are so friendly, the food is all home cooked and fresh, and itâs super quiet. The worst thing? When you finally head to civilization for a week to spend with your family ya meet a really great guy and now heâs wanting to bring his friends up to meet me! Not that I havenât met them over facetime and of course I said yes because he wouldnât stop talking about them and how great they are! Iâve also seen their instagrams, theyâre definitely super close with one another!
So. I thought it would be fun if I had a garden party! Iâve busted my butt through the entire summer with the help of Gwil who kept making time out of his super busy schedule to help me with my gardening. Our Scots Bluebell turned out beautifully all around the house, of course the thistles turned out gorgeous. The bellheathers turned a bright purple, my jacobite roses bloomed of course, and finally my dwarf cornel though taking a little longer than usual, turned out great!Â
Alright itâs 1:10 and Gwil just told me he just picked them up from the airport. He said thereâs going to be a total of eight people heâs bringing tonight. Luckily Iâve got enough room in my big old house to fit everyone. The last ferry usually leaves around eight and driving here around night isnât always the best. Iâve got plenty of bunkbeds and single beds.Â
For an appetizer Iâm starting with Partan Bree (which is crab bisque), then two main cuisines of Bangers and Mash along with the second cuisine of course mini scottish pies. And for dessert itâs Cranachan!
One knock came from the back door as it opened for my friend to come and give me a hand with the cooking. You think I would do this all by myself? Of course not. Look, I love multitasking, but when it comes to cooking Iâd like to make sure everything is cooked well.Â
âHow much time do we have Maisy?â Bonnie asked as she carried in some of the groceries I asked her to buy. Of course I invited my best friend. Though heâs met her multiple times when he drove up here, just didnât want to be alone when they all come up here.Â
âInverness Airport is where everyone is meeting so we got about five hours. I have to start taking apart the crab if you want to start getting the mash ready.â Bonnie nodded as she walked behind the counter.Â
âSo who's all coming to this party?â Bonnie asked as I started cutting the skin off the crab.Â
âGwil of course. Joe, Ben and his girl sadly canât remember her name. Rami and Lucy, and another couple Allen and his wife Jessica.â Finishing the first crap as I moved onto the next one.Â
âHoly Hell. Didnât realize you were feedingâ the masses today!â Bonnie laughed as she began peeling the potatoes.Â
âNeither did I until a few days ago when he told me they were out and about. But oh well.â I laughed as I stopped peeling for a second to turn on the TV.Â
âWhat are we feeling Bonnie?â I asked her as I scrolled down to the apps.Â
âHave you watched Rosemary's baby?â For some odd reason whenever Bonnie and I cook, we just love watching scary movies. Donât ask me why because we just do!Â
âIâve heard itâs freaky so yes. Hulu?âÂ
âNetflix.â I nodded as I opened netflix then got the movie started.Â
I finished peeling the last crab as the pile of crab meat was sitting there ready to become some delicious bisque. We started watching the movie while beginning to cut up the crab shells. Bonnie and I kept stopping once every few minutes to watch the movie because itâs just so bizzare. Who names their kid Guy? Imagine growing up with your first name being Guy! No offense to those named Guy, but what a poor kid!Â
âFrom the way Guyâs attitude. She blames it on being an actor, but I think thatâs just him being an ass hole.â I pointed out as I placed the crab skins apart of the meat to start cutting them apart.Â
âSo not ALL actors are self entiled ass holes?âÂ
âCheeky bitch.â I tossed a piece of crab skin at her as she darted a piece of skinned potato at me.Â
âGwil is much calmer and knows how the industry works. Oh my god her hair!â I got distracted at how big the top of random chicks hair was! Itâs all shoved on top!Â
âIt looks like a popcorn kernel! Oh sheâs dead..â We both stopped to start watching again as the old couple came into the scene. Theyâre like the old version of Barbie and Ken with the amount of pink they were wearing! My phone ringing broke my train of thought as I put down the knife. Why is Gwil trying to facetime me if heâs driving? I placed my phone against the mixing bowl and answered the call.Â
âIs that crab?â He asked as I held the crab's dead claw in front of the camera.Â
âWhy are you holding a crabs claw? Oh my god does Gwil enjoy nipple clamps? Ben owes me money if this is true!â Joe chimed in as I smirked at the camera. When Gwil and Joe were in the Swiss Alps in that golf tournament, he facetimed me during the golf tournament with them driving around the golf course, while singing Material Girl. It Was a sight.Â
âNo he isnât into nipple clamps Joe.â I heard him groan as he aimed the phone over to Gwil who was trying to focus on driving, but kept looking out of the corner of his eye towards the phone.Â
âWhatâs for dinner?â He asked as I went back to cutting up the crab skin.Â
âFor as many people youâre dragging up here, weâre having Partan Bree, Bangers and Mash, Mini Pies, and for dessert youâll be eating Cranachan!â I smiled as I heard a bunch of moaning for food in his car.Â
âGwil when were you going to tell us she was going to fatten us up!â Lucy giggled as I kept smiling at Gwil.Â
âYou guys just left the airport?â I asked them as I finished cutting the skin.Â
âYeah we should be up there in about four hours Maisy. Miss you biscuit.â He started to blush as everyone in the car was beginning to awww and chuckle.Â
âMiss you too marmalade . Donât worry I won't embarrass you in front of your friends quite yet. Until you get up here at least. Now let me cook so I can feed everyone!â I told him as he looked away from the road for a second.Â
âOkay Maisy. Love you.âÂ
âLove you to Gwil. Drive safely please!â I sent him a kiss but I heard a certain someone scoff.Â
âWow youâre not gonna say goodbye to me?â The camera turned to Joe as he was making a very large pouty face.Â
âSorry Joe. Goodbye Joe and please make sure my marmalade drives safety.â
âMuch better. Bye Maisy!â Joe waved as he hung up the phone as I got back to it.Â
âBiscuit? Marmalade? Where the hell do you guys come up with this stuff?â She asked as I shook my head.Â
âSuper long story. Sort of what happened when we went to that castle in Tain with biscuits and marmalade. Long but funny.â Bonnie nodded as I got a picture from Gwil. It was a self with everyone in the car. Bonnie looked over at Joe and smiled.Â
âThat Joe guy is kind of cute.â Bonnie commented as she finished peeling all the potatoes.Â
âMaybe heâs single.â I commented as I placed the shells into the oven.Â
*Four Hours Later*
Bonnie brought out the last chair from the house as I flung the pure white embroidered tablecloth onto the long table. I want to make sure everyone has some space to eat and relax because it gets a little nipply here at nights, being up here on Orkney Island kind of comes with the package. But I love it up here!Â
I walked over to the small shed with my boxes full of packed fairy lights so I could hang around the tree branches. We dragged the old dining room table out of the house and put it under the tree. Luckily weâve got a warm evening with our usual nice breeze.Â
âHey Bonnie! Can you double check the pies for me?â I asked her as I grabbed one of the chairs to stand up on to hang the lights.Â
âMaisy! Do we want music playing in the background for tonight?â Reaching up to wrap the first strand on the closest branch.Â
âUmmm. Throw on my Harmonium record would ya?â Weird yes. But their music is just so relaxing and perfect for some really good cleaning and cooking music. For the record the movie took a really dark turn real quick and was so weird. But I would definitely watch it again because it went from oh shit to HOLY SHIT! In a span of twenty minutes!
âReach you!â I had to balance myself on one foot as I got the strand on the tiny little branch.Â
âGotcha!â I cheered as I kept going with the rest of the lights.Â
âMAISY!â She screamed from the kitchen as she hung up the next part of the strand.Â
âWHAT!â
âWHAT WINE DO WE WANT?â Wine? WINE!? YOU DONâT HAVE WINE WITH SAUSAGE AND MASH!Â
âBonnie! You know better than that! We have all throughout the entire dinner! I got a few bottles in the cellar of that 90 Shilling down there. But just in case they want wine, grab a bottle of Gavi Di Gavi that I have down there, I think itâs been aged for a little while so it should go good with the Bartan Bree at least.â She turned around to go back inside, but then turned back around to stand in the doorway.Â
âPies are almost done, the soup is hot and ready, also theyâre here.â Okay good pies are ready AND GWILS HERE!? SHIT! I climbed down from the chair as I fixed my necklace and let my hair down from my clip.Â
I began walking towards the side gate but stopped at the back porch to flip on the backyard lights. The fairy lights I hung from the tree lit the table nicely along with the candles that are soon to be lit. I took one last glance down at myself to see that my floral dress was laying nicely, booties were tied and my necklace was fixed.Â
Alright. Here we go!Â
Opening the side gate as I heard all of them talking amongst each other as they were walking up to the front door. Gwil looked absolutely stunning in his dark green button up, black pants, oh and those dark brown loafers. A beautiful snack! They were walking up to the front door as I walked all the way around front.Â
âWell well well. Look at this merry band coming onto my porch.â They all turned towards me as Gwil smiled. He walked down from the front porch to scoop me up in his arms to do a quick spin. Then a quick peck as itâs rude to kiss multiple times in front of your guest.Â
âAnd these are for you?â He stuck a small bouquet of lilies and lavenders.Â
âThank you biscuit.â One quick peck as he placed his arm around my shoulder as we began walking towards the crowd.Â
âThose who havenât had the chance to meet her. This is Maisy Kerr. You already know Joe of course.â I smiled as Joe walked over to give me a quick hug.Â
âI know I should be all nice and not rude, but where is your bathroom?â He was trying not to do a pee dance as I also tried not to laugh.Â
âUpstairs, second door on the left.âÂ
âOh my god thank you!â He rushed inside as I motioned for everyone else to follow inside. Gwil stopped for a moment to sneak in a few more kisses which made me giggle.Â
âIâve missed you so much Maisy! I hope you donât mind, after I drive them back down to the airport if I stay with you for a few days? London and Bristol have gotten a little old without you and this place is just relaxing.â Not being sarcastic at all, but I love it when he just comes up and stays.Â
âYou can literally come over whenever you feel like honey. Weâll talk about it after dinner, and have to go meet everyone.â I placed a soft peck on his cheek then walked past him, but then gave his butt a little slap. God I love that tooshie.Â
Everyone was standing around the hallway as we walked in then shutting the door.Â
âShoes on our off?â One of them asked as I locked the door.Â
âEither or. Weâll be eating outside this evening and having a bonfire, so I would leave them on.â How can you not have an outdoor dinner without a bonfire. Wouldnât make much sense if we didnât have one.Â
âMaisy this is a lovely home. Iâm Lucy by the way.â Oh my god sheâs an adorable woman holy crap!
âLovely to meet you Lucy and thank you. Has been with my family for generations.â Everyone made it outside as Bonnie was tossing a bunch of kindling wood into the fire pit.Â
âAye welcome! The name Bonnie! Hi Gwil!â She waved as Gwil waved back.Â
âPlease make yourself comfortable and Iâll start bringing out the food in a few moments.â I turned back into the house as Bonnie scurried over to help me. Which then Gwil decided to come inside and join us.Â
âHow have ya been Gwil.â She got into the fridge to pull out a few bottles of the yale and wine.Â
âOh fine Bonnie. Just been busy with work.â He told her as I gave the bisque one last stir as I heard Joe coming down the stairs. He stopped in the doorway to look at Bonnie for a quick second.Â
âBonnie this is Joe Mazzello. Joe, this is Bonnie Geddes.â They approached each other and shook each other's hand.Â
âMind giving me a hand Gwil.â I pointed to where the bowls were as he began pulling them out.Â
âBonnie, would you mind taking the wine and ale outside. Also light the candles please?â Bonnie snapped away from Joe as she started to take them outside. Joe of course helped her due to the fact that he was already hooked on her.Â
âWell that was quick.â He commented as we both high fived each other. I began pouring the bisque into the bowl as he took the ones with the full ones outside.Â
I grabbed the last two bowls as everyone was sitting already and opened the wine and ale. There were two empty chairs that sat across from Bonnie and Joe, Ben was sitting next to her and his girlfriend. Allen sat on the end of the table with his wife on his left, then Rami sitting next to his wife, and Lucy sitting by the empty chair.Â
I placed Gwils and bowls at the table. He grabbed his from my hand as I sat down in my chair. Pulling my chair in as everyone was continuing to talk.Â
âBen, that's nasty.â Lucy told Ben as he was finishing his cigarette.Â
âJust a hobby Lucy. I donât do it every day, just every other other day.â He put out the cigarette as he wrapped his arm around his lady friend.Â
âAh Maisy this is Ben and his gal pal Olivia Cooke.â She smiled as I waved over to her.Â
âOh and thatâs Allen and his wife Jessica. And of course Rami and Lucy down at the end.âÂ
âPlease dig in everyone.â I stood up as I began unscrewing the cork off the wine bottle. Itâs a little stuck! Crap!Â
âGwil hold the bottle.â I asked him as he held the base of the bottle as I tried to pull the cork off.Â
âItâs not wanting to come out!â I laughed as I kept trying to pull. I finally got it to pop and the cork flew across the lawn.Â
âPerfect.âÂ
âSo tell me Maisy. What exactly do you do?â Rami asked as I began filling up my glass.Â
âI own the Wetdrumstick Pub here on Finstown and then a pub called Misty Maid in Kirkwall. Well to be fair itâs been in my family for the longest of times, now I just took them over until the next person comes along.â I told Rami as I passed the bottle to Gwil then sitting back down.Â
âAnd Iâm just gonna assume that you are all actors along with Gwil here?â Bonnie asked as I took a sip of my wine. They all laughed at each other as I shrugged to Bonnie.Â
âAnd what about you Bonnie?â Joe looked to Bonnie as she took a drink of her ale.Â
âA fisherman..er women. Following the dreams of a Scottslady.â She laughed as Joe nodded his head.Â
âMaisy this bisque is delicious! What recipe is this?â Jessica asked as I put down my spoon.Â
âIâll have to find it somewhere or write it down for ya.âÂ
âDoes this have milk in it?ââ Joe asked as I nodded. He leaned back in his chair as Bonnie looked at him in confusion.Â
âAllergic to dairy?â Bonnie asked him as they began their conversation. I turned to Gwil as he had my arm wrapped around my chair.Â
âYou shaved? Why?â I just realized he didnât have that gorgeous stubble. Not that he doesnât look handsome without it cause my god. But itâs always good to add a little extra garlic powder to your spaghetti sauce.Â
âIt was for the show because apparently Russian men didnât have facial hair besides the really crazy ones.â Fair enough.Â
âHey listen since youâre staying here for a few days. Would you mind if we went into Thurso and stopped by my favorite bakery? Iâve been craving some of Mr. Monks Bahulu?âÂ
âOf course. Not checking into the pubs?âÂ
âI will before we head into Thurso. Only if you donât mind...biscuit.â He grabbed my right hand to give it a soft kiss.Â
âNot at all. Anytime with you is perfect.â We chowed down on the bisque then onto the sausage and mash, then the mini pies. Everyone was reminiscing on old jobs, catching up, and even future productions. I think itâs pretty cool that Rami is playing a Bond villain in the next big Bond movie. Is there a new bond or no? Or is it that one dude, I havenât been to the movies in a while so Iâm not sure whose who anymore.Â
âWho's ready for dessert. And does anyone want coffee or tea?â I think I officially stuffed their faces and stomachs nicely.Â
âCoffee for me Lucy?â Rami asked as she took a sip of her wine.Â
âCoffee please.âÂ
âTwo coffees.â Allen added as I looked over at Bonnie and Joe.Â
âSo probably just a bunch of coffee then.â They were off in their own world anyhow.Â
Gwil and I walked inside the house as I reached into the fridge to pull out the dessert. He looked underneath the foil as I slid over and hid it from him.Â
âHelp me with the coffee and youâll get a nice slice for yourself.â I told him as I grabbed my shredded coffee beans to start making the coffee. Gwil snuck up behind me as he wrapped himself around the back of me. His lips began pecking the side of my neck as I began giggling a little bit.Â
âGwil...hehe..Stop. Youâre distracting me.â His lips stopped traveling along my neck as I spun around to face him. A large smile was on his face as I placed my hands on his cheeks, then squishing them together.Â
âYou come up here so much you might as well just move in.â I told him with his cheeks still pushed together. He mumbled something as I let go to work on the coffee. I should have enough mugs for everyone, should probably pop onto Etsy and get some more if I can.Â
âSo is that a no?â Ten cups of coffee? That should do it.Â
âWhatâs a no? Did you not want coffee cause I have plenty of tea.â I began filling the coffee pot with the hot water asÂ
âWhat if I moved in here with you? I know it would be a hassle for work at first and I would be in London or a few days out of the week. But what if I did move in with you?â The hot water began spilling over the pot as I almost dropped it in the sink. Move in? Wait what? What? WHAT!? Move in? Who on earth would want to move in with me? I live so far up north! Itâs a super damp winter! No one wants to live in a super damp winter!Â
âIâll take your silence as a no. Too soon I guess.â Well itâs a super damp winter and Iâm only available in certain times because I have two pubs to run and barely have the time to see him or anything. Wait heâs an actor! We hardly see each other in the first place because heâs busy traveling the world already!
âIâll get a key made for ya as soon as I..Gwil?â When I turned around, he was already outside with the dessert with him. Ah crap! I walked out into the doorway as everyone was digging into the dessert. His head popped up with a little disappointment as I shot him a smile. Should be able to get it made in a few days or so, with him staying there it should be rather easy to give him a copy of the key. Not that I ever lock my door because everyone knows not to come on my property.Â
âCoffee will be out in just a few moments everyone.â
I think living with him would be rather fun.Â

Show Off (Jungkook)
Requested by @pwersona. Requests are encouraged
Genre: Fluff
Summary: You are an idol & you surprise your boyfriend during his vlive
It was rare for you and Jungkook to have the same day off. However, much to your own disappointment, you had to respond to his desperate texts, which were begging you to hang out with him, with the fact that you had already made plans with your best friends months in advance.
And Jungkook understood how your busy schedules as an idol separated you from your friends. At least he could steal a few moments with you at an awards show, or you could be âcoincidentallyâ required to host the same show, or he sneak backstage at your concerts or vice versa; meanwhile, your friends had to settle for texts and short video chats. So Jungkook replied simply with a âhave fun :)â despite his deepening frown.
He could have tried to distract himself from your absence by tagging along with one of the guys on their venture into town. He was sharing a hotel room with Taehyung, after all, who didnât fail to notice his forlorn expression. But Jungkook didnât really feel like darting from art exhibit to art exhibit, so he quietly rejected Taehyungâs invitation. Besides, what if you finished your plans early? As pathetic as it sounded, Jungkook clung so desperately to the possibility of seeing you that he couldnât convince himself to leave the room.
After a while, his video game got too repetitive, and he found himself thinking of you. Needing a task that would require his full attention, and therefore limit his longing for you, Jungkook decided to start a vlive. With ARMY to keep him company, his day would surely improve. Right?
At least you were enjoying your shopping date with your friend. In fact, you had so much fun retelling old jokes and reliving old memories that you didnât check your phone until you were in your friendâs car, on the way back to your hotel (which âcoincidentallyâ was also Jungkookâs hotel). Your heart leapt at the notification that Jungkook had started a live just a few minutes ago.
âItâs Jungkook, huh?â Your friend giggled at your awestruck expression, and she laughed harder when you hissed for her to be quiet so you could hear the love of your life.
Jungkook was blushing into the camera. âAh, why is everyone asking about my Y/N?â He asked, causing your own face to glow scarlet; as your face was illuminated by your phoneâs brightness, you had no doubt that your friend was stealing amused glances at you as she navigated back to the hotel.
âI miss her so much. And I miss all of youâ even though we just had a concert a few days ago. Thereâs not enough time for me spend time with everyone I need to see.â
Your heart, along with the heart of every ARMY watching the broadcast, soared as you beamed at the boy through the screen.
âWaitâ all of you want to see her too? Should I call her?â Your heart pounded as he reached for his phone, his other hand resting over his chest. âNo, I shouldnât. Sheâs spending time with her friend.â He determinedly sat back in his seat with a rueful grin. âMaybe if we all wish really hard, sheâll finish her plans early and stop by to visit.â Jungkook flashed a hopeful thumbs up.
âY/N, please tell me youâre going to crash that boyâs vlive,â your friend begged as she stopped her car at the door to the hotel.
You jumped out of the passenger seat so quickly, you almost missed her words until you heard her teasing laughter. âYeah, yeah,â you waved your hand dismissively. âThanks for the good time, and text me when you get home.â
Without wasting another second, you raced to the elevator. And once you pressed the number of Jungkookâs floor, you rifled through your purse for the key he had given you.
To say that Jungkook was surprised when you wrapped your arms around him, after tiptoeing into the room, would be an understatement. Rather than screaming, he drew a deep breath; and when he turned to see you smiling brightly, he broke into his own bunny grin.
âJagi, I didnât even hear you come in!â
âWell, I wanted to surprise everyone.â You eased into the small space next to Jungkook. As he wrapped an arm around you to ensure you wouldnât slip off the chair, you added cheerfully, âI caught some of the live show in the car, and I heard that everyone wanted to see me.â
Jungkook blushed at the realization that you heard all his embarrassing rambling about missing you and wishing for you to visit. Still, he admitted, âYeah. Everyoneâs had a bunch of questions for us.â
It wasnât your first time doing a live show with Jungkook, so you were particularly gifted at ignoring the few negative comments in pursuit of the positive. âAh, I see. Hereâs one. âJungkook, whatâs your favorite thing about Y/N?ââ
âHer face,â Jungkook answered immediately, much to the disapproval of yourself and the many viewers. âWhat? Whatâs wrong with that? I think youâre pretty!â
âThank you, but thatâs incredibly shallow,â you laughed despite your flattered blush. âIf someone asked my favorite thing about you, I wouldnât say your abs or your thighs.â
Still, Jungkook smirked at your compliment of his muscles. âOkay. Fine, Y/N, whatâs your favorite thing about me?â
âStop chasing compliments.â
âIâm not!â He whined, but it was only half-true. âGive me an example of a good answer, that way I can rephrase my answer.â
âFine,â you conceded after scrolling through the viewersâ questions. âBut only because they want me to.â You bit the inside of your cheek as you carefully phrased, âI love how modest you are, even though youâre insanely talented. Youâre always willing to listen and learn from everyone around you. But my favorite thing is how you can go from being the shyest person in the room to being a complete goofball.â
Jungkook was staring at you, wide-eyed, when you finished your tiny monologue. âIâ sorry I called you pretty.â
âI also really appreciate your remarkable gift for putting your foot in your mouth,â you laughed. Then, glancing at the camera you said, âYâknow, I meant that figuratively, but he can probably do it literally too.â
âOkay, first of allâ my favorite thing about you is how patient you are, especially with me. Even when I do something dumb, which is often, youâre really nice and you give me the chance to grow from my mistakes. Alsoâ actually, Iâll tell you more about this later, I have to hurry up and get to the second thing.â
You rolled your eyes. âFine, whatever.â
âWhen you said I could âprobablyâ put my foot in my mouthââ
âOh my goshââ
âWas that supposed to be a challenge? Because I can totally do it. If you wanna argue about it, I can just prove it to you.â
Again, you turned your attention to the camera. âI doubt your admiring audience wants to see you shove your foot in your mouth, Jungkook. Thatâs hardly attractiveââ
âLook, Y/N, thereâs an audience for everything these daysââ
âIt wasnât even a challenge, you goober. Itâs amazing how your brain can interpret anything as an invitation to show off.â
Laughing was the worst thing you could have done, honestly; Jungkook reacted by launching immediately into an attempt to prove that he could, in fact, defeat your challenge.
âOkay, everyone, Jungkook has lost his mind,â you said as you stepped in front of the lense to defend the viewers from Jungkookâs unsightly form. âI hope youâre having a lovely day or night, and I hope you enjoyed this brief live, before our boy descended into complete madnessââ
âLook, Y/N,â Jungkookâs voice was muffled. âIâm doing it!â
And as you turned around, simultaneously amused and appalled by the extent of Jungkookâs competitive nature, you wondered how you had fallen in love with such a boy.
