No offense but in MKX Reptile smells awful going by Takeda so I imagine kind of kills the stealth aspect a little. Also probably makes people wanna stay away from him even in non fighting situations. To Reptile he smells fine, to others well...
Bi-Han: So then I was like-What the fuck?
Hydro: Huh? Oh my god, what the hell is that smell?
Reptile existing several feet away:
Bi-Han: You know Hydro, I think we should leave...
But does Reptile really smell that bad, or is Takeda just an ass here? Because not everything the characters say in intro dialogues is a truth, nor should be treated as fact. Sometimes they say mean things just for the sake of being mean, to manipulate or provoke the opponent. In MKX Takeda wasn’t on good terms with Reptile due to their realms’ conflicting interest and his remark about Syzoth’s scent may be just an exaggeration used out of spite.
Majority of the characters interacting with Reptile through intro dialogues considered him to be ugly, pitiful, stupid, even going so far to call him just a pet no different than a dog. However from the whole cast, I catched only three people - all Earthrealm, all Raiden’s supporters - that claimed Reptile stinks awfully:
Takeda
Takeda: Ugh... You been rollin' in trash? Reptile: Respect me, human. Takeda: I'm serious, you smell awful…
Jax
Jax: Thought I smelled somethin'... Reptile: Have a care, Jackson Briggs. Jax: I do care--you stink.
Johnny
Reptile: You dare approach me? Johnny Cage: Despite the smell. Reptile: You will be my latest victim.
so while I’m pretty sure Syzoth as Zaterran has a distinct scent (the same as Shokan, Centaurian or Kytinn most likely have due to non-human biology), I’m not so sure if the smell is that awful, or is it more the matter of those three characters’ individual sensitivity for different (unknown) smell, exaggerated by their dislike for Reptile.
I’m personally leaning towards the second option, as so far the alternative timeline’s story mode does not imply Reptile’s smell hinders his stealth in any way.
In Mortal Kombat 9, when Johnny for the first time met Syzoth, he was impressed by his entrance and there is no mention of the awful smell.
Tumblr media
In the same game, Shang Tsung has zero problems with Reptile being around, even when invading his personal space (though in the case of sorcerer, Shang Tsung may be already used to his distinct smell).
Tumblr media
In Mortal Kombat X, during the New Generation's escape, Takeda was observing the surroundings and using telepathy to win. There is no implication he won due to Syzoth’s strong smell, he also did not complain/comment about it.
Tumblr media
There is also a different potential explanation - Reptile’s natural scent has changed over time, due to his age, hormones or maybe even a mental state. The smell that did not matter before but now Johnny, Jax or Takeda complained about, along with a more bland, matte skin tone may be a sign of depression for example. An understandable development, as being the last of his species and being mistreated for decades could take a toll on Syzoth. Or the odor may hint at any other biological or psychological change, as two decades has passed between MK9 and MKX.
As for Bi-Han and Hydro, they aren’t that easily scared or repulsed. They are Lin Kuei, I’m sure they dealt with the worst stuff.

What are some common weight loss myths and misconceptions?
Tumblr media
Here are some of the common weight loss myths and misconceptions in a straightforward way:
“Carbs make you fat”: Carbs aren’t the enemy. It’s more about the type and quantity. Whole grains, fruits, and veggies are good carbs. Processed carbs like white bread and sugary snacks are the ones to watch out for.
“You need to exercise like crazy”: While exercise is important, weight loss is mostly about diet. You can’t out-exercise a bad diet. Regular, moderate exercise combined with healthy eating is key.
“Skipping meals helps”: Skipping meals can backfire. It can slow down your metabolism and make you more likely to overeat later. Regular, balanced meals are better.
“Fat-free means healthy”: Not always. Fat-free products often have added sugars and other unhealthy ingredients to make up for the lack of fat. Healthy fats, like those in avocados and nuts, are good for you.
“Detox diets and cleanses work”: Your body naturally detoxes itself. Fancy cleanses can be unnecessary and sometimes harmful. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of water is a better way to support your body.
“All calories are equal”: Technically, yes, but where they come from matters. 100 calories of veggies aren’t the same as 100 calories of candy. Nutrient-dense foods are better for overall health and weight loss.
“You can target fat loss”: Spot reduction doesn’t work. You can’t choose where you lose fat. Overall weight loss through diet and exercise will eventually reduce fat everywhere.
“Supplements can replace meals”: Meal replacement shakes and supplements can be convenient but shouldn’t replace whole foods. They lack the complete nutrition that real food provides.
“Eating late at night makes you gain weight”: It’s not about when you eat, but what and how much you eat. Consuming a lot of calories late at night can lead to weight gain, but so can eating too much at any time of day.
“All diets work the same for everyone”: There’s no one-size-fits-all diet. Different bodies respond differently to various foods and eating patterns. What works for one person might not work for another.
“Healthy food is always expensive”: It can be, but there are plenty of affordable, healthy options like beans, lentils, seasonal fruits, and veggies. Planning and cooking at home can also help save money.
“You need to eat small, frequent meals to boost metabolism”: The frequency of meals doesn’t significantly impact metabolism. What matters more is the total calorie intake and the quality of the food.
“Drinking lots of water will flush out fat”: While staying hydrated is important, water alone won’t burn fat. It helps with overall health and can aid in weight loss by making you feel full, but it’s not a magic solution.
“Weight loss is linear”: Weight loss often involves ups and downs. You might lose a lot at first, then hit a plateau. It’s normal, and it’s important to stay consistent and patient.
“You have to give up all your favorite foods”: Moderation is key. You don’t have to completely eliminate your favorite foods, just enjoy them in smaller portions and less frequently.
“Strength training will make women bulky”: Strength training is great for building lean muscle and boosting metabolism. It’s very difficult for women to become bulky due to their hormone levels.
“Diet foods are always healthy”: Many foods labeled as “diet” or “low-fat” can be high in sugars, sodium, and artificial ingredients. Whole, unprocessed foods are often healthier choices.
“You can lose weight quickly and keep it off”: Quick fixes rarely lead to long-term success. Sustainable weight loss takes time, and maintaining it requires ongoing healthy habits.
“You need to go on a special diet”: Instead of a temporary diet, aim for long-term changes in your eating habits. Balance, variety, and moderation are more effective for sustainable weight loss.
“Only big changes count”: Small changes can add up over time. Swapping soda for water, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or adding a few extra veggies to your meals can make a big difference.
Remember, weight loss is personal and what works for one person might not work for another. The best approach is a balanced diet, regular exercise, and a healthy lifestyle.

Connecting With The Divine Feminine 💛
Tumblr media
[tw: mentions of s.a. and misogyny towards the very end. nothing bad or explicit!]
Welcome back, my busy bees! It’s Bunny!
Today, I have the second most voted option from my post poll. I will be doing a reading on what your higher self needs you to know in your current reality tomorrow! I wanted to take a break on readings for a day! I’ve decided to make a text post about how you connect with your own divine feminine. If this post does well, I may consider doing a pac reading about it! I’ll do four piles for that one since it’s a broader subject.
We’ll be discussing kind of how I interpret “the divine feminine” and what that means on different levels. This is based on my experience and what I’ve worked with in my journey! Everyone is different and how I do things is not the end all be all! As always, take what resonates with you and leave what doesn’t! I’m not a professional by any means! Use your discernment!
I will recommend you do a good portion of shadow work first, get to know yourself as you are now and heal your deepest wounds. I encourage this because sometimes jumping into something like your highest form of feminine energy can be overwhelming and I don’t want anyone to rush into something they really aren’t ready for. This is kind of a form of shadow work. (I will be posting more about shadow work and what I’ve done to help anyone get started with it!) To add, make sure you ask for some form of spiritual protection before meditating on this! Just to be safe! People suck and sometimes so do some spirits lol
Within each of us is a mix of both feminine and masculine hormones, traits, and energies. Each of us present more, less, or equal amounts of these characteristics. Within the ‘divine’ aspect of it, truthfully it’s more about how you’re able to achieve the purest form of what YOU consider femininity. That can be a little darker or lighter. (Think Yin and Yang for imagery). This looks different for everyone. For me, it’s darker. Which, I know, is surprising based on this blog! But, I have another account I post my appreciation for a darker aesthetic and themes on. I project my more ‘masculine’ side over here. Which doesn’t make sense to most! But, it makes more sense when I tell you that all the women in my family are the pillars of our family and the men are more emotional. Plus, I have some trauma surrounding my femininity. To me, it’s forged with pain. My more masculine side was accepted easier, making it softer and lighter in my perspective of myself. This whole meditation is about perspective and image of yourself.
Once you come to find what femininity means for you, it makes it easier to concentrate on that energy. Lean into it a little. What songs do they remind you of? What colors do you see? Do you see yourself or someone else? How do you see this form of femininity and how does it make you feel? Are you intimidated, scared, happy, peaceful, or do you feel whole? Sit with the feelings, write about them. Who does this side of yourself remind you of? What are they wearing, what do they smell like?
If you don’t see a person, this could mean you’ve integrated this aspect of yourself.
As for connecting with this side of yourself in your day to day, find simple things to honor these aspects of yourself. Dress in the colors you saw, mimic the style of clothing, wear that scent, empower yourself within your femininity if that’s the path you wish to take.
Everything within this can be flipped and applied to the masculine. Find out what it means to you and apply it to your current reality. Find the balance and integrate the two aspects in a way that is unique to you! 🖤🩶🤍
For my ending notes, I’ll remind you that this has worked for me in healing my wounds concerning s*xual trauma, internalized misogyny, and my self esteem. I was under the belief that in order to be a woman, I had to always be soft and sweet. But, my version of femininity is strong and stern. It is unique to each person. Always. Do not let anyone, including yourself, put you in a box. I hope this has brought you some guidance! If you guys like these types of posts, I may do more eventually!
Thanks for buzzing by!

Time to get a little bit personal on my blog because I haven’t any other place to talk about my recent health issues~ Putting it under a cut because there are discussions of reproductive issues, surgery, and periods which I know can be triggering for some!
Went in for some exploratory surgery at the start of October to positively diagnose endometriosis that I knew I had and was being treated for the past seven years. When I first went to my gyno back in 2016 about the pain and issues I was experiencing she diagnosed me with endometriosis right off the bat - she didn’t even feel a need to do a diagnostic laparoscopy because my symptoms matched almost perfectly. She put me on hormonal medication (not birth control) and I actually saw a major reduction in symptoms. Not everything was gone, but the worst of it was so I was content.
Flashforward to early 2022 and I went to visit my family doctor to discuss some health issues I was having - some of which were tied up with my ovaries and uterus. I was telling him that I was still experiencing some issues, that my medication sometimes feels like I’m damaging my body further (bone density being the biggest), and that I didn’t know what to do next. He suggested a hysterectomy.
So I went to my gyno who, while supportive, wanted me to be armed with as much knowledge as possible and suggested a diagnostic lap for the first time - just to see what was actually going on. So I went in for surgery (with lots of fun things happening along the way - like discovering that when I faint from seeing blood I actually have a minor fit that looks like a seizure l o l), got pictures of my insides, and was told to come back to my gyno in 6 weeks to discuss ‘my future’.
Six weeks later and: I’ve been officially diagnosed with endo and I’ve been given all manner of options. Remove my ovaries and tubes but keep my uterus, remove everything and enter early menopause, continue with what I’m doing until I enter natural menopause, continue what I’m going until I’m 40 and then have a complete hysterectomy and enter early menopause, go to see an endo specialist and have them remove what endo tissue they can.
And of course, all of these options carry huge amounts of risk. Entering early menopause, even with hormonal therapy, greatly increased a person’s risk of dementia, heart disease, and bone density issues (the latter which I already struggle with). As well, scar tissue has fused my uterus to my bowels, making the risk of surgery high due - if they puncture the bowel I could be on an ostomy bag. But if I do nothing I’m still abusing my body with another type of hormonal medication that’s got its own negative feedback loop. Not to mention the medication doesn’t work forever. It’s supposed to, but it doesn’t. And I cannot and will not have my periods again. It’s just not possible.
So I decided to be put on the long waitlist to see the specialist, and hear what he suggests. In the meantime I’m going to spend the next year researching and running my brain in circles trying to decide my future, which is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I thought I’d go in, choose the complete hysterectomy and it’d be an easy one and done type thing. But it isn’t and I hate that it isn’t. I don’t want kids, I’m ace as fuck so I’ve never wanted sex so those aren’t issues for me. But it’s the potential to screw my body up even more that scares me. Like if I make the wrong call I’ll fuck myself over for the rest of my life.
God I hate this disease. I hate that I have to have it. I hate that it’s cost me so much of my life, and that there is no quick, easy, painless fix. I hate that I had to even undergo invasive surgery to know what was really going on. It’s so stupid and useless and frustrating and I fucking hate it.
Anyways. I just needed to talk about it in detail. If you read this and identify with it, I’m sorry you’re going through pain as well. And a reminder: painful periods are not normal. Periods where you can’t leave your bed and you’re vomiting and shitting your guts out aren’t normal. Periods where you’re so bloated you think you’re going to break through the walls of your stomach is not normal. If you can, seek help. Demand answers. Advocate for yourself.

in honor of the chapter i’m posting later, more feels like flying ‘verse worldbuilding. under the cut for length & so people who don’t care can scroll
this is possibly edging into omegaverse energy but i Do Not Care let me have it. anyway. i invented (?? im p sure) a thing.
submissive bonding/submissive defense circles, aka sub circles.
due to biology being Like That, submissives are naturally inclined to bond with one another, whereas dominant’s are naturally inclined to steer clear. biology doesn’t define you etc etc, but it is a thing. (it’s also why, in this ‘verse, sub/sub relationships are relatively rare but socially acceptable, while dom/dom ones are practically taboo.)
we’ll get to defense circles in a second, but bonding circles are much, much more common and the two are similar, so we’ll start there. basically, a dom can only, for lack of a better word, control two subs at once, maybe three, so being in a group equals safety and comfort. bonding circles can be formed for no reason at all between friends hanging out, or specifically to help sub(s) who are stressed, dropping, subsick, etc. it’s a good way to stabilize moods, strengthen relationships, and regulate systems for younger subs who usually don’t have partners but Do have wacky hormonal shit going on. they also don’t just happen by accident; there’s no set activation or behavior, but it requires intention to happen.
it’s possible for the subs in the circle to put each other into a sort of mild subspace this way, but it doesn’t always happen and usually requires at least five people. still, it means there is something of an option for people who don’t want to be around doms for whatever reason, or don’t have one they trust enough around.
bonding circles typically last a couple of hours, even all day. activity levels are pretty fluid, ranging from a big cuddle pile to normal daily tasks (cooking, chores, games), just with the specific undertones of Circle Feelings.
absolutely no doms are allowed near the circle, at all, ever. switches are welcome as long as they’re leaning sub.
if a dom does come near a circle…well, it’s defense time. a defensive sub circle is where the “circle” term comes from; some subs, usually the switchy ones, take on protective roles and form a ring around the others, who become comforters/anchors for them and each other. who’s where depends entirely on the situation and relationships, it’s not an ingrained thing or a constant. the actual “defense mode” only lasts as long as necessary for protection, but the subs won’t be willing to leave each other for several hours, generally.
this part is also why it’s considered a monumentally stupid to circle up with only two people, or even three. it’s a great way to a) make yourselves paranoid and panicked because you aren’t protected and/or b) fail to stop an actual threat.
just so it’s clear, you will absolutely get your shit rocked if the circle decides you’re a threat, and they won’t stop until they decide the threat is contained or they’re physically separated and calmed (obviously a difficult & usually dangerous task).
a relevant note on feral behavior: doms and subs sometimes “snap” when someone they love is threatened, 9 times out of 10 a bonded (married) partner. however, because propaganda, subs going feral is considered extremely rare or impossible by some. it’s relevant here bc aside from a threat to a bonded partner, the next most common cause is a sub circle being threatened. doesn’t happen often, but often enough. feral behavior is defense circle behavior on steroids; a defense circle will subdue you. a feral submissive will kill you.
i haven’t fleshed out the laws or anything fully like the rest of this, but i’m thinking sub circles are probably pretty well protected, definitely count under self defense, etc.
i also want to clarify this isnt a pack-bond thing, its not That omegaverse-y, it’s generally a friends and family activity but it’s not uncommon among strangers, especially if someone is in obvious distress/danger.
SO that got long i was really hyped about this specific bit of worldbuilding, which came about entirely because i wanted submissive relationships to be really strong in this ‘verse. and i had this idea for a scene where a submissive is having a Bad Time for whatever reason and not comfortable getting help from their dom, so all the subs in the room circle up/close ranks and kick ‘em out to help. it spiraled from there.
as per usual feel free to send asks or anything about this ‘verse, i’m trying to remember to talk about my worldbuilding and stuff here but i’m superrrr not used to it and i never rlly know where to start whoops

Managing Indigestion and Bloating During Pregnancy: Tips and Advice
Tumblr media
Pregnancy is an exciting time, but it can also bring about some challenges, especially when it comes to digestive health. Many expectant mothers experience common discomforts such as indigestion and bloating as their bodies adjust to the growing baby. These issues, though frustrating, can be managed effectively to ensure a smoother pregnancy. If you’re facing these symptoms, seeking advice from a specialist in Gastroenterologist in Surat can provide you with personalized solutions to ease your discomfort.
Understanding Indigestion and Bloating During Pregnancy
Indigestion, often referred to as dyspepsia, is a frequent issue during pregnancy. It can cause a range of symptoms, including a burning sensation in the chest (commonly known as heartburn), discomfort in the upper abdomen, and nausea. Bloating, meanwhile, is the feeling of fullness and tightness in the abdomen, often accompanied by excess gas. These conditions are primarily driven by hormonal changes, such as the increased production of progesterone, which relaxes the muscles in the digestive tract and slows digestion.
How to Deal with Stomach Issues During Pregnancy - Addressing indigestion and bloating during pregnancy requires a combination of dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, and sometimes medical intervention. Understanding what causes these issues is the first step in finding effective ways to manage them.
Tips to Alleviate Indigestion and Bloating
Eat Smaller, Frequent MealsInstead of three large meals a day, try eating smaller, more frequent meals. This helps prevent your stomach from becoming too full, which can reduce the likelihood of indigestion during pregnancy.
Choose Your Foods WiselyCertain foods are more likely to trigger indigestion and bloating. Avoid spicy, fried, and fatty foods, as they can worsen symptoms. Instead, choose bland, easy-to-digest options like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast.
Stay HydratedDrinking water is essential, but avoid drinking large amounts at once, as this can contribute to bloating. Instead, sip water throughout the day to stay hydrated without overloading your system.
Avoid Carbonated BeveragesCarbonated drinks can introduce excess gas into your digestive system, leading to increased bloating. It’s best to avoid soda and sparkling water during pregnancy.
Practice Mindful EatingEating slowly and thoroughly chewing your food helps your digestive system work more efficiently. Mindful eating also reduces the risk of swallowing air, which can contribute to bloating.
Elevate Your Upper Body While SleepingIndigestion can worsen at night. Elevate the head of your bed or use extra pillows to prop yourself up, preventing stomach acid from rising into your esophagus and causing discomfort.
Incorporate Gentle ExerciseLight exercise, like walking after meals, can aid digestion and reduce bloating. However, always consult your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise routine during pregnancy.
Consider ProbioticsProbiotics help maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria, which can reduce bloating and improve digestion. Foods like yogurt, kefir, and fermented vegetables are good natural sources of probiotics.
When to Seek Medical Help
While most cases of indigestion and bloating during pregnancy are manageable with simple lifestyle changes, there are times when medical advice is necessary. If your symptoms are severe, persistent, or accompanied by other concerns like vomiting, weight loss, or difficulty swallowing, it’s crucial to seek help from a healthcare provider. A specialist in Gastroenterologist in Surat can assess your condition and provide guidance tailored to your specific needs. They may recommend safe medications or other treatments if lifestyle changes aren’t enough.
Additional Tips for Managing Indigestion and Bloating
Wear Comfortable ClothingTight clothing can increase pressure on your stomach, making bloating and discomfort worse. Opt for loose, comfortable clothes that allow your body to breathe.
Monitor Your Fiber IntakeWhile fiber is important for digestion, consuming too much too quickly can lead to bloating. Gradually increase your fiber intake and pair it with plenty of water to help your digestive system adjust.
Avoid Lying Down Immediately After EatingGive your body time to digest food by staying upright for at least an hour after eating. Lying down too soon can lead to heartburn and indigestion.
Chew Gum with CautionChewing gum can cause you to swallow air, leading to bloating. If you need something to freshen your breath, consider sucking on a mint instead.
Keep a Food DiaryTracking what you eat and how you feel afterward can help you identify and avoid foods that trigger indigestion or bloating.
Consider Herbal TeasHerbal teas like ginger or peppermint tea may help soothe your digestive system and relieve bloating. However, always check with your healthcare provider before trying herbal remedies during pregnancy.
The Importance of a Balanced Diet
Maintaining a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins is key to managing indigestion during pregnancy. These foods provide the necessary nutrients for both you and your baby while supporting healthy digestion. Avoid skipping meals, as this can lead to overeating later, which may worsen indigestion and bloating.
Conclusion
Indigestion and bloating are common but manageable challenges during pregnancy. By making simple dietary and lifestyle adjustments, you can alleviate these discomforts and enjoy a healthier, more comfortable pregnancy. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another. If your symptoms persist or worsen, don’t hesitate to consult a specialist in Gastroenterologist in Surat for expert guidance.
Taking proactive steps to manage indigestion and bloating will help you focus on the joys of pregnancy rather than the discomforts. With the right approach, you can navigate this exciting journey with greater ease and confidence.

“I don’t let my daughter wear makeup/get X hairstyle/wear heels bc she ain’t grown & don’t need to be acting like she is!”
Firstly- sad that the reason you say “no” isn’t health reasons.
Secondly- anyone else consider that none of that makes someone grown? Similar to not using/wearing any of that doesn’t make one not grown?
Ain’t anything grown unless you’re strapping adult toys to the outfit/in the hairstyle. There are nude beaches in various countries where minors aren’t banned from them. On vacation as a kid I met a girl who was maybe a year or two younger than me who informed me that she was topless bc where she’s from girls don’t wear swim tops UNTIL there’s something that needs the support!
“I love seeing kids dress like kids” jfc just say the outfit is cute and move tf on weirdo? Why tf are you making this into something bigger? If a young girl wanted like… hip length box braids & a fitted outfit, that’s her choice- although for the braids, if someone is objecting, I would hope it’s bc the excess weight on a growing scalp probably ain’t the best idea!
I get no makeup- bc kid’s skin is typically more sensitive, they’re actively growing so hormones are fluctuating & that means they can breakout more easily.
I get no hairstyles that involve high tension and/or a bunch of extra hair (weight) bc that’s stress on the scalp. Hell, your head ain’t done growing until at LEAST 16. Hitting growth spurts with tight af hairstyles has probably been why some of y’all got thin hair.
I get no heels bc that’s horrid even for fully grown adults on bones and muscles in the legs and back, let alone a growing child! Hell, ballet can cause issues with how the legs, hips, & spine develop when it comes to children iirc.
The outfit? Should
1) adhere to local decency laws
2) be suitable for the activity.
So yeah, maybe don’t let your kid wear a $300 dress to go play at the park. But if they’re dead set on a dress, lay out their Walmart options 😂
If it’s freezing outside, yeah, maybe don’t let your kid out in yoga/biker shorts & a crop tank top. But if they’re dead set on something similar lay out some skinny jeans, fleece lined leggings depending on how cold it is, etc.
A grown person can skip makeup, wear comfy cute clothes & have their hair done in pigtails or loose braids with those beads or whatever with those little butterfly clips. That’s still a grown ass adult.
Once we quit trying to dictate what style belongs to an age group, everyone can wear what makes them happy. AND! Freaks can quit tryin to be like “well I thought she was older because ____” or “well she was wearing a thong so she must have wanted it” like come tf on.
I don’t ever want it! I’m asexual! I still wear a thong w certain outfits bc I don’t like pantylines. Sometimes I’ll wear boxers instead tho, depends on the fit and how I feel that day!

Medication for Brain Fog
Tumblr media
Introduction
Ever had one of those days where you can’t seem to focus, your memory feels fuzzy, and your brain just isn’t working right? That’s brain fog. It’s like trying to navigate through a dense mist, making everything feel slower and harder than it should be. While it’s a common issue, it’s not something you have to live with. Let’s dive into how you can clear that mental haze, focusing specifically on medications that can help.
What is Brain Fog?
Definition and Symptoms Brain fog isn’t a medical condition but rather a term used to describe a collection of symptoms. These can include forgetfulness, lack of focus, mental clarity issues, and overall cognitive sluggishness. Think of it as feeling mentally cloudy or fatigued.
Causes of Brain Fog The causes can vary widely, from lack of sleep and poor diet to stress, hormonal changes, and underlying medical conditions like thyroid disorders or chronic fatigue syndrome. Identifying the cause is key to effectively addressing it.
Lifestyle Changes to Combat Brain Fog
Importance of Sleep Sleep is crucial for brain function. During sleep, your brain works to clear out toxins that build up during the day. Aim for 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night to keep your mind sharp.
Stress Management Techniques Chronic stress can wreak havoc on your brain. Techniques like deep breathing, yoga, and progressive muscle relaxation can help manage stress levels, thereby reducing brain fog.
Physical Activity and Brain Health Regular physical activity increases blood flow to the brain, which can help improve cognitive function. Even a daily walk can make a difference.
Dietary Approaches to Improve Cognitive Function
Brain-Boosting Foods Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats supports brain health. Foods like blueberries, nuts, and leafy greens are particularly beneficial.
Hydration and Its Impact on the Brain Dehydration can impair your attention and long-term memory. Drinking enough water throughout the day is a simple yet effective way to keep your brain functioning well.
Medications for Brain Fog
Prescription Medications When lifestyle changes aren’t enough, medications can be a helpful next step.
Commonly Prescribed Medications Medications like Adderall and Ritalin are sometimes prescribed to help with severe brain fog, especially if it’s related to ADHD or other cognitive disorders.
How They Work These medications work by increasing the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, such as dopamine and norepinephrine, which help improve focus and attention.
Potential Side Effects However, they come with potential side effects like increased heart rate, anxiety, and insomnia, so they should be used under medical supervision.
Over-the-Counter Medications For milder cases, there are several over-the-counter options.
Popular OTC Options Caffeine pills and nootropic supplements are popular choices. They can provide a temporary boost in alertness and cognitive function.
Benefits and Risks While these can be effective in the short term, they may lead to dependency or tolerance if used too frequently.
Herbal and Natural Remedies If you prefer a more natural approach, there are several herbal remedies known for their cognitive benefits.
Ginkgo Biloba This herb is believed to improve blood flow to the brain and has been used to enhance memory and cognitive speed.
Bacopa Monnieri Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine, Bacopa Monnieri is known for its ability to enhance memory and reduce anxiety.
Rhodiola Rosea This adaptogen helps the body resist physical, chemical, and environmental stress, potentially reducing brain fog symptoms.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
How CBT Helps with Brain Fog CBT is a type of therapy that helps you change negative thought patterns and behaviors. It can be particularly effective if your brain fog is related to anxiety, depression, or stress.
Techniques Used in CBT Common techniques include cognitive restructuring, where you learn to challenge and change unhelpful thoughts, and mindfulness, which helps you stay focused on the present moment.
Mindfulness and Meditation
Benefits for Cognitive Clarity Mindfulness and meditation practices can significantly improve mental clarity and focus. They help reduce stress and increase gray matter in the brain, which is crucial for memory and learning.
Simple Practices to Incorporate Start with just a few minutes of meditation each day, focusing on your breath or a simple mantra. Gradually increase the time as you become more comfortable with the practice.
Physical Exercise and Brain Health
Types of Exercise Beneficial for the Brain Aerobic exercises like running, swimming, and cycling are particularly beneficial for brain health. They help increase the size of the hippocampus, the part of the brain involved in memory and learning.
Creating an Exercise Routine Incorporate a mix of aerobic exercise, strength training, and flexibility exercises into your routine. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.
Sleep and Brain Function Importance of Quality Sleep Sleep is when your brain consolidates memories and clears out toxins. Poor sleep can lead to significant cognitive decline over time.
Tips for Better Sleep Maintain a regular sleep schedule, create a restful environment, limit screen time before bed, and avoid caffeine in the afternoon.
Managing Stress to Reduce Brain Fog
Stress Reduction Techniques Besides mindfulness and meditation, other stress reduction techniques include journaling, spending time in nature, and engaging in hobbies you enjoy.
Mind-Body Connection Understanding the mind-body connection is essential. Practices like yoga and tai chi can help you become more aware of how your thoughts and emotions affect your physical health.
Long-Term Strategies for Maintaining Cognitive Health
Consistency in Healthy Habits Consistency is key. Stick to healthy habits even when you start feeling better to maintain cognitive health in the long term.
Monitoring and Adjusting Your Plan Regularly monitor your cognitive function and adjust your plan as needed. What works for you may change over time, and it’s important to stay flexible.
Conclusion Brain fog can be a frustrating and debilitating issue, but with the right approach, you can regain your mental clarity. Whether it’s through lifestyle changes, medications, or natural remedies, there’s a path to clearer thinking that suits everyone. Remember, a holistic approach often yields the best results.

Extreme Back Pain After C-Section: Solutions for Relief
Tumblr media
C-sections are major surgeries, so it's totally normal to feel discomfort afterward – including extreme back pain after c section. You might be wondering why it hurts so much and what you can do about it. Don't worry, we're here to help! We'll dive into the reasons behind that extreme back pain and give you tips on how to find relief, so you can get back to enjoying your new baby. What's Causing My Extreme Back Pain After C-Section? Here's the thing: a C-section isn't just about your belly. To get your baby out, doctors have to cut through several layers of muscle and tissue. This can cause inflammation and pain that extends to your back. But it's not just the surgery, other factors might be making things worse: - Hormones: Relaxin, that pregnancy hormone making everything bendy, lingers for a while, leading to less back support and more aches. - Anesthesia: The epidural or spinal injection for your C-section can sometimes trigger back pain for a little while. - Weak Muscles: Pregnancy and childbirth put a ton of strain on your core and pelvic floor – the muscles meant to hold your back steady. - Posture Changes: Everything from breastfeeding to carrying your little one in a car seat can stress your back if your posture isn't great. - Extra Weight: Carrying around weight left over from pregnancy puts extra strain on those back muscles. Time to Fight Back! How to Manage Back Pain After C-section Don't let that back pain win! There are tons of things you can do at home to ease the ache and start feeling better: - Easy does it: Rest is super important for healing! Let your body recover before rushing back into everything. - Watch your posture: Try to stand tall and remember to sit up straight. Use pillows for support while breastfeeding. - Gentle movement: Short walks and some careful stretching can help reduce pain and stiffness. Ask your doctor if you're ready to try some targeted exercises. - Hot or cold: Alternate heat (like a warm bath) and ice packs for temporary relief. - Eat the rainbow: Fruits, veggies, and all that good anti-inflammatory stuff can help your body heal faster. Consider adding some anti-inflammatory foods to your diet. Fact: Did you know that staying well-hydrated with clear fluids can actually help ease those post-C-section muscle aches? Anti-Inflammatory Foods Food TypeExamplesFruitsBerries, citrus, cherriesVegetablesLeafy greens, broccoli, peppersHealthy FatsFatty fish (salmon, tuna), olive oil, nutsSpicesTurmeric, ginger When to Get Professional Help for Back Pain Sometimes, home remedies just aren't enough. Here's when it's a good idea to talk to a healthcare professional: - Your pain is unmanageable: If over-the-counter meds aren't cutting it and the pain disrupts your life, they can help find stronger pain relief options. - You need some guidance: Physical therapists are amazing at teaching you the best exercises to strengthen those back and core muscles in a safe, post-C-section way. - Something feels off: If you suspect something more serious than typical incision pain is happening, trust your gut and get checked out. "As a mom, it's easy to put your own needs last, but it's important to listen to your body. Seeking help doesn't mean you're failing – it means you're taking care of yourself so you can be the best mama you can be". More Tips for a Healthy & Happy (and Less Achy) Recovery - Teamwork: Don't be afraid to ask your partner, family, and friends for a hand! Let them take care of chores and older kiddos, so you can focus on healing. - Mind over matter: Stress makes pain worse! Try things like deep breathing, a warm bath, or a few minutes of meditation to manage your mood. - Nutrition boost: Your body needs fuel to heal. Talk to your doctor about foods or supplements that might help with inflammation and muscle recovery. FAQs - Q: Is it normal to have severe back pain after a C-section? - A: Yes, it's very common to have some back pain after a C-section, and for some women, it can be quite severe. It's usually temporary and starts to improve with time and care. - Q: Does spinal anesthesia cause back pain after C-section? - A: Spinal anesthesia can sometimes cause temporary back pain or muscle aches near the injection site. This is usually mild and goes away within a few days. - Q: When should I be concerned about back pain after giving birth? - A: You should be concerned about your back pain after giving birth if it's severe and not improving, if it's accompanied by fever, numbness, or tingling, or if it makes it difficult to walk or care for your baby. Preventing Back Pain in the Future Once you get past this initial healing stage, you'll want to take steps to keep your back healthy and strong. This can help prevent future pain episodes and just make life as a new mom that much easier! Here are a few ideas: - Stay active: As your doc gives you the go-ahead, add more movement into your days. Walking is a super gentle way to start, and those stroller walks with your baby count! Stronger muscles mean better support for your spine. - Core work: Focus on gentle exercises that rebuild your core strength. Think deep breathing, pelvic tilts, and modified planks - a physical therapist can help with this! - Good shoes matter: Ditch those heels! Supportive, comfy shoes help with overall alignment, which means less stress on your back. - Lift smart: When it comes to lifting your baby, their car seat, etc., bend those knees and lift with your legs, not your back! Myth Buster: While abdominal binders can provide a feeling of support after a C-section, don't rely on them solely for back pain relief. Building core strength is way more important in the long run! Listen to Your Body – It Knows What It Needs Recovering from a C-section and caring for a newborn is a HUGE job on your body. Don't ignore that lingering back pain, but don't panic either. Remember, pain is your body's way of telling you something needs attention. - Notice: Is your pain worse after certain activities? Are there times of day when it feels better? This info can help you (and your doc) figure out the best treatment plan. - Be patient: Healing takes time, and sometimes backs can be stubborn! Don't get discouraged if progress feels slow. - Celebrate success: Those little improvements matter! Recognize those moments when you feel stronger or can do a bit more – it'll keep you motivated to keep going. Key Takeaways - Extreme back pain after a C-section is common and usually caused by a combination of surgery, lingering hormones, and muscle strain. - With rest, gentle movement, and good posture you can manage your back pain at home. - It's important to seek professional help for severe pain or any worrisome symptoms. - Building core strength is key to preventing future back pain. - Listen to your body and be patient with yourself during the healing process! Gentle Exercises for Post C-Section Recovery (Remember to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise routine) ExerciseInstructionsDeep BreathingSit comfortably, inhale slowly through your nose, exhale through your mouth, focusing on your belly rising and falling.Pelvic TiltsLie on your back with knees bent. Gently tilt your pelvis forward and back.Wall SlidesStand with your back against a wall. Slowly slide down into a squat position, keeping your back flat. Conclusion Dealing with extreme back pain after welcoming your baby into the world can feel incredibly frustrating. But remember, you're not alone! So many moms experience this, and you don't have to just suffer through it. By making small, consistent changes, seeking help when you need it, and being patient with yourself, you can get back to feeling strong and enjoying your new baby with less pain hanging over you. Early in my recovery, bending over to change a diaper had me practically crawling back upright! But slowly and surely, with simple stretches and focusing on my core, it got better. You will get there too! If you're struggling with back pain post-C-section, let's chat in the comments! Sharing our experiences can help us all feel less alone. Or maybe you've found something that REALLY makes a difference – share your secret weapons! Understanding Unexplained Infertility
youtube
Despite advancements in medical science, about 10-15% of couples face unexplained infertility. It's diagnosed when:
Both partners undergo extensive tests to assess fertility factors such as ovulation, sperm count, fallopian tube health, and overall reproductive health.
No apparent issue or abnormality is detected that could explain the infertility.
The Complexities of Diagnosis
Unexplained infertility isn't a conclusive diagnosis; rather, it signifies the limitations of current medical knowledge in pinpointing the exact cause. Some potential factors contributing to this diagnosis could be:
Subtle hormonal imbalances: These might not show up in standard tests but could impact fertility.
Issues with egg or sperm quality: Not easily detectable through routine testing.
Subclinical conditions: Mild abnormalities that aren’t apparent in diagnostic tests.
Emotional Impact
The journey of unexplained infertility can be emotionally draining. The absence of a clear cause can leave couples feeling lost, frustrated, and helpless. It's crucial to acknowledge the emotional toll and seek support, whether through counseling, support groups, or talking to a fertility specialist.
Finding the Right Fertility Doctor in Jaipur

Holistic Care: Some clinics offer holistic approaches, integrating lifestyle changes, nutrition, and stress management into their treatment plans.
Treatment Options
While there might not be a specific cause identified, various treatment options can help couples with unexplained infertility:
Ovulation Induction: Stimulating ovulation with medication to increase the chances of conception.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): Placing sperm directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation to enhance the chances of fertilization.
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): A more advanced technique involving the fertilization of eggs and sperm outside the body, followed by the transfer of embryos into the uterus.
Lifestyle Changes: Diet modification, stress reduction, and exercise can sometimes improve fertility.

Contraceptions in the U.S
Contraception role is to prevent pregnancy and some sort also protect you from STIs, sexually transmitted infections.
They are many contraceptives methods, but which one best suits you? Let’s deconstruct each of them, the pros and the cons.
The condom: it protects you from most STIs and from getting pregnant as well. There is « male » and « female » condoms, the one you are used to see is the one used on the penis, but there is also one to use on vaginas. They both have the same goal, act as a physical barrier to prevent sexual fluid to reach your partner. Since it is a newer product the « female » condom is less effective than the « male » one. The condom is practical, it is easy to carry, it’s the best protection against STIs and it is hormone free! However, there are disadvantages, If not used properly, you have a chance of the condom tearing or coming off during the act. Also, some people are allergic to latex (majority of condom are latex) but, latex-free condoms do exists!
The oral contraceptive pill: There is currently three different types of oral pills.
1. Combined estrogen-progesterone
2. progesterone-only
3. continuous or extended use pill
The hormone of progesterone is the one preventing pregnancy, as for the estrogen, it controls the aspect of menstrual bleeding. The pill is the most prescribed contraceptive in the U.S, an average of 25% of woman from 15 to 44 years old, report using this as their contraceptive method. Why is it so popular? When taken correctly, it is highly effective. It permits to be spontaneous, no need to interrupt the process of sex to be safe. Pills with estrogen can help decrease period flow and PMS (premenstrual syndrome) symptoms, sometimes it can even reduce acne ! Contrarily, the downside of the pill: You have to be diligent, skipping a day perhaps reduce the effectiveness, it only usable. It is a contraceptive that only woman can use, nevertheless research are taking place trying to come up with an alternative for man also. The main concern of this contraceptive, is that it does not protect you against STIs and has to be prescribed, so it is harder to access.
The intrauterine device (IUD): A IUD is a small T-shaped device, made of plastic, copper and material which contains progesterone hormone. It needs to be installed by a trained healthcare provider, inside the uterus. This method is a great choice because ;
1. It is long-lasting, it can in from 3 to 10 years, depending on the sort.
2. It is reversible, with the help of a healthcare provider it can be taken out, whenever desired.
3. It can be used as an emergency contraceptive, if installed in the lapse of five days following the unprotected sex.
4. It is really effective, IUD only made with copper is 99% effective, and those with hormones also are 99.8% effective, you cannot not be more secure than with this method.
Nonetheless, there is always some inconvenients; you are not protected from STIS, you need the help of a trained healthcare provider for insertion and removal and it may cause symptoms for certain woman, such as irregular bleeding during the first six months of usage.
The contraceptive implant: The implant is a small flexible rod, which is inserted under the skin of the woman’s upper arm. It is installed by a trained healthcare provider and the procedure requires to use a local anesthetic. Once the rod is implanted, it releases progesterone hormone which limits the production of eggs from the ovaries and thickens cervical mucus, making it challenging for sperm to make it into the uterus. This method is also long lasting, it last up to 3 years of usage, and when the time comes it needs to be changed. It is a highly effective methods for those seeking a long lasting option that doesn’t interrupt the act, and which can be taken out whenever desired.
But, once again it does not protect you from STIs, so if you aren’t only with one partner, it is not the safest option. Like the IUD it can cause bleeding following the installation. Lastly, like said previously it requires a healthcare provider to both install and remove it.
The birth control patch: The birth control patch contains both estrogen and progestin (synthetic progesterone) that are released into your bloodstream, stopping ovulation as well as thickening cervical mucus to block sperm from reaching an egg! This method is really effective to prevent pregnancy, it permits sex spontaneity and is easy to install.
But on the other side, it requires organization, you need to change your patch each week for 3 weeks (21 days), then take a break of one week to allow menstruations and then restart the cycle. It also, doesn’t protect you from STIs and requires prescription, so it is less accessible than condom perhaps.
The contraceptive injection: This contraceptive method consists to give an injection containing a synthetic form of progesterone hormone. It can be given either in the upper arm or the buttock area, after the injection the hormone spreads trough your bloodstream for the following 12 weeks (3 months). This method is not as long lasting as a IUD our an implant, but you don’t need to keep track of it every day, like the pill. It permits sexual spontaneity and is very effective to prevent pregnancy.
However, it can cause unpleasant symptoms such as bleeding and undesirable periods and gives no protection against STIs.
The emergency contraception pill (the morning after pill): This method can come in handy for multiple occasions; unprotected sex, condom failure, bad usage of the pill and worst case scenario sexual assault. Even tho it is called the morning after pill, it is effective till 5 days after the act but, the sooner the better. If taken in a interval of 3 days it is considered 85% effective to prevent pregnancy from occurring. The pill contains a high dose of female hormones, which stops the pregnancy. It is a accessible method, you can get it at the counter of the pharmacy, without parent approval or prescription but, it is quite expensive.
Nonetheless, it is called the emergency pill, it is not a contraceptive that you should use regularly as it comes with multiple side effects: nausea, vomiting, delayed or early period, etc. Furthermore, it protects you from pregnancy, but does not from STIs.
The contraceptive ring: the contraceptive ring is a flexible plastic ring that you can install yourself into the vagina, it constantly releases hormones of estrogens and progesterone. You can keep it in for 3 weeks, than take a break of 1 week, and then put in a new one. A major advantage of this method is you do not need a healthcare provider to install or remove it, you can do it yourself! Also, it control your menstrual cycle for you, and once the ring is removed there is no impact on your fertility.
Like the pill, it contains both estrogen and progesterone, which makes it an unsuitable option for woman who can’t take estrogen contraception. Once again, it doesn’t protect you against STIs. Lastly, you must be diligent, to put it in and take it out at the correct time each month.
The diaphragm: the diaphragm is a small dome shaped made of soft silicone, inserted into the vagina to ensure sperm doesn’t reach the uterus. Basically, it creates a physical barrier in the same way a condom do. This device requires preparation and diligence, it needs to stay in at least 6 hours after sex, but cannot exceed a maximum of 24 hours. It also need to be appropriately cleaned between each usage. The difference to a condom is that it’s reusable, you can use the same diaphragm up to 2 years, if you take care of it properly.
Furthermore, the diaphragm is a technique that requires practices, to adequately put in but, if used correctly is pretty effective. It doesn’t not procure security against STIs as well.
Sterilisation: The ultimate contraception, sterilisation take away the ability to reproduce completely. It is a method that either use open or minimal invasion surgery, which needs to be conducted in a hospital since it requires general anesthesia. This option is great for couple who are certain, they do not want to have kids, it is also one of the few contraceptive available to both women and men!
Nevertheless, it is a surgery including more risk than other contraception and it is not reversible, so it is not a decision to take lightly.

Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders
Tumblr media
Given all the changes that come with pregnancy and parenthood, you might be wondering if the emotional and physical differences you are feeling are cause for concern. While adjustments, including some feelings of sadness and worry, can be normal, there are also signs that might indicate it is time to seek additional support.
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are a group of emotional and sometimes physical symptoms that can affect pregnant and postpartum parents. Symptoms of PMADs can appear anytime from conception up until 1 year after birth. This group of disorders can affect parents in every financial, cultural, racial, religious or age group and can be caused by changes in biology (hormonal), physiology, and environmental factors. Although less commonly talked about, partners can also experience these symptoms, for men referred to as Paternal Perinatal Depression (PPND). While experiencing symptoms of a PMAD or PPND can be distressing, it’s important to remember that there is support that can help you through this period of change.
Symptoms to Look For:
Feelings of intense sadness or worry that are impacting your daily functioning
Feelings of irritability, anger or resentment
Loss of interest in activities or relationships you usually find rewarding
Dramatic changes in appetite, upset stomach, or headache frequency
Difficulty concentrating/making decisions that are impacting your daily functioning
Lethargy and/or insomnia
Feelings of panic
Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, or hopelessness
Obsessive thoughts or paranoia
Possible thoughts of harming yourself or your baby
Seeing or hearing things that aren’t there
**It is important if you are having thoughts of harming yourself, your baby, or someone else that you go immediately to your local Hospital Emergency Room**
What You Can Do

OKAY so on the topic of Star Wars takes wrt “character ends up in an A/B/O universe where they’re an omega, but they were previously a cis male in their canon”
@atagotiak and I had some Thoughts on discord
So, obviously, Anakin would make a good omega and he’s also incredibly murdery. Foregone conclusion that we're using him for this.
There is no preexisting Anakin in the Omegaverse. He shows up JUST as the war is starting. Canon timeline is in the third year of the war (he’s 22), but whatever dumped him into omegaverse also tossed him back a few years. No de-aging, just a bit of mismatched timeline stuff.
He's... really good at war, and clearly a Jedi, so the Temple just kind of goes "WELL OKAY THEN, SURE, YOU'RE IN, EVERYONE PRETEND HE'S BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME." The Jedi, by and large, don't care about omegaverse dynamics beyond 'what do you need, medically, to be happy and healthy' and 'what do you need to be aware of so you can be prepared for biases you encounter in the field?’
None of the civilian natborns (mainly politicians) want to put him on the field because of those biases. Anakin, being Anakin, is VERY blatantly an omega in scent, has never been on suppressants (because it wasn't a thing he fucking NEEDED), is incredibly emotional as a person, loves kids, etc.
Like, nobody wants an omega fighting a war anyway, but THIS one is like PINNACLE omega, and those awful Jedi are making him FIGHT just because he's good at stab!
The Jedi: Actually, it's because he's got several years of war experience that we don't, and he's a good tactician that works well with the clones-- Coruscant: You MONSTERS The Jedi: Look, we gave him the option to not stab and he looked absolutely devastated. Anakin, several days earlier: You don’t want me? I’m not good enough??? Jedi: Also he can beat up at least half the temple.
He doesn't know a damn thing about dynamics, but he DOES know that sometimes he's so horny he wants to stab HARDER. The clones are largely disinterested in their generals' dynamics because between mostly-Mando* trainers and no-dynamic Kaminoans, they only really care if a person can shoot.
* Mandalore approves of Fighty Omegas. As far as (traditional) Mandalore is concerned, you want an omega that will kill the threats to your children as well as you do.
Anakin: You know more about being an omega than I do. Rex: ...I'm an alpha. Anakin: Yeah. Let that one sink in a bit.
We have two options for Obi-Wan!
Omegaverse local Obi-Wan (beta) has never met this man before, and is very unnerved that the immediate default reaction Anakin has to his presence is releasing Family pheromones as if Obi-Wan is his DAD and like. This strange, too-tall man from another dimension has got absolutely NO control over what he projects in the Force OR in his dynamic.
Obi-Wan was ALSO transplanted from canon to omegaverse, and is also an omega, for contrast reasons. He is nice and friendly and and likes poetry and that sort of thing... but also he has the highest dismemberment count in the movies. Also he doesn’t prioritize romance.
We went with the second one because it's hilarious.
Someone watching them spar: Wow, omegas from that universe are terrifying.
As previously mentioned, now with some tweaking to account for both: Obi-Wan and Anakin just straight up don't exist until they drop headfirst into the council room, already covered in blood. (It's mostly not theirs.)
Nobody realizes either one is an omega until they "naturalize" to this dimension and Anakin goes into heat... and doesn't realize it, actually, because his primary symptom is heightened protectiveness and aggression. Everyone else with the right nose realizes, because the man has no control over his pheromone production, but Anakin? No. He just stabs. He’s angry and horny and he will cut someone.
Ahsoka has no reaction to human pheromones but basically everyone smells Anakin's "my child!" reaction to her, so... Cool. Have a padawan, we guess.
Anakin ends up sparring a lot with Aayla and Ahsoka, because only humans and near humans have dynamics, so these two don't REACT to the pheromones situation.
(Palpatine is a Kindly Old Beta who tries to treat Anakin the way he EXPECTS Anakin wants to be treated, which is. Not. Accurate.)
(Anakin hates it.)
I'm just so in love with "An omega can't fight." "You wanna fuckin' bet?"
There are plenty of omega Jedi, by the way, it's just... most of them can keep it relatively low-key instead of Anakin's jet-engine broadcast. Some, if they're known to be omega, probably take advantage of being underestimated, like Obi-Wan probably (and especially a version of Obi-Wan that was always an omega, unlike this version). They have a very different way of presenting themselves than Anakin, who's not subtle about being an omega and also not subtle about being all aggressive and stabby.
At one point, Anakin has to protect some Very Traditional Individuals who get all "Stay back, Omega, it's not safe!" and he's just... so tired of this shit. “You are squishy civilians and I'm a trained Jedi Knight and accomplished GAR General who's killed more people in one sitting than there are in this entire palace. Sit the fuck down and let me do my job.”
It starts making the rounds that Anakin insisted on fighting in person, and the rumors shift from "how dare the Jedi force an omega to fight" and over into things that are deeply hurtful in-universe in the vein of "broken omega" and some people try to say it to his face but like...
He didn't grow up here.
He doesn't care.
Say that to one of his friends and he's going to rip out your spleen, probably, but say it to him and he's just staring at you flatly and asking if that's a negative on getting away from the encroaching battle droids, sir?
"You're rather unpleasant for an omega, aren't you?" [deeply offensive] "I literally could not give less of a fuck about your opinion. Move."
It's not that there aren't omegas that act like Anakin, either, it's just that most of them aren't, you know, Jedi who regularly interact with the upper crust, or capable of his level of destruction. Unbeknownst to Anakin, everyone clocks him as Outer Rim based on his behavior, well before his accent gives him away, and certainly before he mentions he's from Tatooine, because Core Omegas Don't Act Like That.
Someone they meet in a more diplomatic setting says something decently passive-aggressive about how at least Obi-Wan acts more like how an Omega should. Then a battle breaks out for some reason, and... well. Anakin and Obi-Wan cause such a scandal by keeping score of kills in a battle, don’t you know?
Turns out sending Anakin to fight Ventress is great because she keeps expecting him to react a certain way but NO he's here to STAB.
I like the idea that Obi-Wan's favorite opponent these days is Grievous because the cyborg doesn't have a nose, and thus gives zero fucks about dynamics or heats. Dooku is a rich old man who has opinions heavily influenced by Sith Juice Making Him More of a Dick, and the Dathomiri can smell dynamics even if they don't have them, and so they have biases about those things. Meanwhile, Grievous is just there to Kill, and Obi-Wan genuinely appreciates the lack of commentary on his dynamic.
Dooku’s probably an alpha, or a beta who's used the whole "we are more level-headed" thing as one of several angles to keep himself the public face and supreme commander of the CIS.
On to more fluffy things that have less to do with political biases.
There's a lot of "I'm upset that my loved ones don't know me," but also please understand the appeal of Obi-Wan marching up to Quinlan like "Yes, hello, I understand you've been read in on the full situation behind myself and my former padawan. I was close friends with your alternate universe self, which I feel is necessary disclosure before I propose the following: Would you like to join me for my upcoming heat, as I have minimal experience with the dynamics situation and even fewer people I actually trust, and I believe I can put my faith in you to treat it as casually as necessary while still having control and respect for my person."
(The Team is in a fairly safe place to process stuff, but having sudden unexpected changes to your biology has gotta be a little traumatizing, on top of ending up in a universe where none of your friends know you and people have a whole host of unfamiliar forms of sexism to point at you.)
Obi-Wan, who wasn't quite touch-averse but was much more easily overwhelmed by physical contact than Anakin (who craved it), suddenly finds his body switching gears and insisting on cuddles with Trusted Loved Ones, which is.... mostly Anakin, on account of nobody else really knowing him yet. Also Ahsoka, who is aware that she's something of a replacement for her alt-universe self, but Anakin explained it as "I love you so much no matter which dimension I'm in or what you're like, and I'd like to get to know you the way I got know her."
(It's rather eloquent for Anakin. He got Obi-Wan to help him draft up the script for when he pitched taking on omegaverse Ahsoka as a padawan.)
Anakin gets a more intensely sexual heat than 'usual' at one point for Reasons (IDK it could be as innocuous as 'we got better food than the usual rations and my body is reacting to the higher fat content with the belief that it's safer to have a baby now'), which nobody takes a whole lot of notice of because they're in a WAR, and also this is only his fourth one so it's not like he's got a lot to compare it to... except then the predominantly alpha clones can't stop themselves from reacting to the pheromones, mostly by wandering past his door and asking if he needs anything, offering up alpha-scented blankets and stuff for the nest to soothe the hormones, bringing snacks and electrolyte drinks, and like, Anakin is flattered, really, but fuck off please.
(He got a warning from medical a few hours before it hit that it would be different, so he actually does have alpha-scented fabrics to help him out. Apparently that's a thing you can just ask friends for, so he asked Rex if he had anything on hand that he could spare. He now has one of Rex’s recently-used sheets and a bodyglove in the nest.)
(Anakin has no idea how to feel about the nesting instinct, but at least it’s warm.)
Tia asked "Oh hey, who has the scared and horny reaction to his carnage?" and like.
Listen. I'm not saying I've been low-key imagining this as Rex being a very subby alpha who's really into Anakin's whole Thing but...
At one point Anakin gets injured in a way that requires painkillers and he ends up whining to the point of almost crying about the fact that nobody is cuddling him right now in medbay and Kix just gives up and comms Ahsoka to come hug her weird older brother.
And Then There Is Purring.
That’s a Thing Now.
Rex ends up in the pile somehow. He came over to check on Things and ended up yanked in by half-asleep, half-high Anakin, who has a grip like an octopus and no impulse control and is purring like a pod motor while NUZZLING HIM.
There’s a lot of blackmail photos featuring Rex’s very intense blush as he’s cuddled by his commander (giggling at him) and general (clinging like a tooka and rubbing himself all over).
Anakin is deeply offended that ANYONE thinks he'd want to get pregnant by just any old person, NO he needs to fall in LOVE there needs to be EMOTIONAL DRAMA and if Padme won't have him (apparently she's in a relationship and no he's not BITTER) then he'll find someone else to have a whirlwind romance with!
People think Anakin's a slut because he can't control his pheromone production (he has NO practice and for health reasons he can't go on suppressants) so he always smells open and ready for flirtations, which Obi-Wan also has to a somewhat lesser degree (he's older so his body just naturally produces less), and then someone tries to cross a boundary and grabs his ass and ANYWAY Anakin has to now fill out an incident report for breaking a civilian's arm.
Again.
