Please tell me someone else remembers the absolutely stunning BL manga that is Adekan. Like??? The detailing and coloring of these illustrations were mind blowing to me as a budding artist:

Plus the absolutely ridiculous heels and sensual arch in the back of every last prettyboy in the cast:

The manga itself was also insanely impressive with all its finely-detailed linework and I remember the premise being REALLY intriguing.

Umbrella salesman/ex-assassin who teams up with the local officer occasionally to help solve the strange crimes of their town? Plus even more deep lore I'm totally forgetting about??? I spent years obsessed with this series and idk if it ever finished but it came to me in my formative years as an artist and left a permenant mark on my soul.

EDIT: The manga is still ongoing!!!!! Which means it's time for a reread ♡

Something that I also find interesting that also gets glossed over a lot is that by environmental design, Cogita is very much implied to be a herbalist.

Her house is literally surrounded with drying plants and mortar and pestles, in accompany with the garden she has in the back (I imagine how this ties in with the modern day Celestic town in D/P/Pt, where if i remember correctly they sold herbs? Unless I'm confusing it for the other many towns in that game) Given all the tea she drinks I imagine she dries and makes them herself.

What I find interesting is one of the plants in the back is a lot more yellow than the others.

It's leaves are too green to be hearty grain, and I originally thought it was Silpihum, the golden plant used by the Greeks and Romans.

But looking at it design wise, it might actually be Goldenrod instead.

This might be me digging too deep into "the curtains being blue" but I got curious if Goldenrod had any symbolic meaning and, well-

And yeah- well, that's pretty on the nose isn't it? Given Cogita's canon immortality and her wearing what appears to be black mourning clothes....
