Day 3: The Abyssal Snake!

This is a morph that definitely requires some water in its enclosure, preferably deep enough to have a little swim in. That being said, don't worry too much about their scales drying out! They might feel soft, but they won't desiccate like other purely aquatic snakes. Make sure to give this one plenty of hides, as it prefers darker enclosures for its sensitive lil eyes.

Be warned that, while this morph is capable of a piscivorous diet, they seem very resistant to taking thawed fish. However, if you already have a small pool of water for them, they'll gladly eat a live fish if it's put into the water!

OH MY GOD A YEAR AGO TODAY .

#thats literally insane what do you mean that crazy day was last year. oh boy ok hastily thought up recap thought time #what that day included:#stupidly going out into july in los angeles heat that morning in jeans and a long sleeve black shirt #in that state of extreme sweatiness: meeting john l of tmbg fame. who id be seeing in concert that exact night #an insane story i have told before but nonetheless incredibly bonkers #later that day when i went out again i (also stupidly) wore sandals that cut up the back of my heels #i toughed it out later and put socks on and the russell brand of cdg high tops on and danced at the concert anyway #wore a full gold glitter suit. was still worried about being unnoticeable #i was too scareddddddd to talk to christi who i saw hanging around before the show which i regret #the best part of the concert and that trip to california was seeing it with my best friend who i finally met in person for that trip #he was dressed as ron and i of course was russ in the glitter suit. my hair did not turn out as magically russ as desired #what else. i was too ough before the concert to eat my combination lunch dinner of panda express something #but i did get overpriced fancy crackers and rosé at the hbowl which was my sparks dinner #ok now let me get to the show itself. i did a review the night of but lets see if there are any details i forgot that i can remember now #like right at the beginning of so may we start there was the audible sound of a glass breaking so awesome. someone was ready to get down #russell getting choked up talking abt their mom taking them to the hollywood bowl as kids i haven't stopped crying #oh yeah all the stupid people in the pool circle (front seats) who didn't care about seeing sparks. youre all going to hell #especially the people that left before the show ended #russell achieved some maximum awooga levels but i may have been picking up on those especially because of the rosé #russell saying to the audience in between singing all that how beautiful it looked with everyone turning the light on their phones #another thing i havent stopped crying over #also got a fun bootleg shirt specific to that show when walking back to the hotel. thank you slightly sketchy guy #that whole night and everything was bonkers insane and wonderful can i Please relive it now. please #like literally this time last year adjusting for time zone i was uhhhhh. probably injuring myself in those stupid sandals #and id do it again! well maybe not but id relive that day again #ok anyway. one year huh

i never feel unsafe when i go on walks with tucker because i know at the end of the day he will protect me (even though he’s a big softie) but today yall i was real worried!

#i walked with tucker to a sonic near my house that i’ve walked with him a million times #got him an ice cream like i’ve done a million times! and have never felt more on edge on a walk with him ever in the four years i’ve had him #like the vibes were a hundred percent not there #i typically let tucker eat his ice cream there let him drink some water ect to cool down a little bit #at first i could kinda see the guy watching out of the corner of my eye and i thought oh this location doesn’t have pup cups maybe he’s #never seen a dog eat ice cream but then when i went to go throw something away i noticed this man fully PRESSED to the glass watching us so #i was a little antsy and moved to a table a little closer to the outer sidewalk then i hear a door close and realize he is outside :)#and here’s the thing about tucker tucker is VERY aware when i am anxious and this is a dog will not let anything come inbetween him and his #ice cream but tucker kept stopping and looking over at the guy then back at me taking long pauses from his ice cream at one point moving #over to stand in front of me with his ears perked #when tucker got mostly done i was like ‘oh good boy are you full? let’s get you home’ and as i stand up to leave the guy comes closer and #starts asking me questions about tucker and thank GOD another customer came up looked at us and immediately started asking the guy questions #because i was genuinely contemplating running out of there #but home and fine now and obviously it was at a sonic by an intersection nothing was gonna happen but i was mad worried and i am forever #grateful tucker is a very intuitive animal because if homeboy did his usual ‘only thing that exists in this world is ice cream’ schtick it #could’ve been different (he was mad at me about the ice cream afterwards btw but we had already crossed the street)#eris: text #tucker: text

I was doing my haha teehee post for this scene when I realized that Batman is a walking Trigger (capitol T) for Guy Gardner.

Sad Boy Hours: Guy Gardner

Guy Gardner has severe physical and psychological trauma. His dad is canonically physically and verbally abusive. Guy is pretty frank about it. So, Guy had problems before his frontal lobe got scrambled like an egg.

There are multiple times in the series where Bruce just has to give Guy an order and, counter to the way Guy acts with everyone else, Guy does what he's told. Now, it isn't every time. It wouldn't be Guy Gardner if he didn't try and piss off every human in existence. He knows they're going to find a reason to hate him, call him a piece of shit, so he'll give it to them on his terms. Because that's one way to cope with being the punching bag your whole life. Own it before someone else does. But, there are times Guy becomes timid in response to Bruce.

Guy Gardner doesn't know how to be quiet. There is nothing about this man that allows for subtly. It is physically impossible. The only reason Guy would be quiet is if it was to be bitchy and petulant, but that's not happening here. He's whispering and his eyes are on Bruce's hand, the hand that is gripping his shoulder hard enough to wrinkle the fabric. Guy looks stricken. The little motion lines around his head look like shaking. It's a jarring switch from the frothing man in the panel before.

All Bruce did was tell Guy to say he was sorry. Just to apologize. And he grabs Guy's shoulder. Guy doesn't have all his social tools anymore, but he has muscle memory and flight-fight-freeze, and he's using what he's got.

The "It's a start." is so disappointedly paternal. "It's a start" implies there will be more later. And later is never good.

I know it's not that deep, it's the 80s, they needed someone to be the team asshole. But, I'm also right because my brain is so juicy. Bruce is a walking trigger for Guy Gardner with his perpetual "Angry Dad" energy and the the fact that Bruce is the only one who can get away with bossing Guy around is a by-product of how thoroughly fucked up Guy's head is.
