As promised here are my “in depth” thoughts about Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie!
Warning Spoilers below!
I thought the movie was pretty fun and exciting! The different team ups between characters were amazing, and they showed off characters and squads (ie; Mantis’s and Lions) who didn’t really get their “times to shine” much in the anime and they introduced really interesting characters with the Wizard Kings!
My favorite team up (besides the BBs ofc) had to be Fue, Nozel, Yami, and Yuno. Not only because 3/4 are my faves (I’ll admit Nozel is growing on me 👀) but because it was so interesting to see, I mean, we’ve seen Nozel and Fue team up before, but we haven’t really seen them team up with either Yami or Yuno. At least not that I can remember. Also we never got to see Yami and Yuno team up with each other either, so that was really fun and exciting to see 😁!
I also LOVED Mereo’s fight against FunnyBunny in the desert, like, it was so awesome to see! I’m glad we got to see just how much Mereo’s squad and brothers mean to her as well and how they give her strength to keep fighting, it really warmed my heart 😭! Also FunnyBunny has my favorite magic out of the Wizard Kings besides Conrad, it just looks so cool 😱’
The BB’s fight was sooo great too! Like the Ice mage’s Chapel and spells were really interesting to me 👀, and I loved the different team ups between the Bulls (like Magna and Gordon, Zora, Nero, and Luck) and how it shows just how great they all worked as a team! NOELLE WAS SO AMAZING THO!! Like we got to see her kick some serious butt against that old guy and just show off how cool her Valkyrie armor is 😁👏!
And I gotta shout out Grey because she showed off her transmutation magic and was absolutely great 🥺, I also loved the “blink and you’ll miss it” moment with her and Gauche 🥰!
I also love the contrast between Asta and Conrad, like, they’re so similar but so different. Asta could have easily become like Conrad if he let all the hate and discrimination that the Nobles and Royals threw at him get to him, but also what happened to Conrad’s family and friends contributed to that mindset too 😅.
WE GOT NACHT and LIEBE CAMEO’s!!! AAAAAHHHHH I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I SAW THEM LIKE 😭😭💕💕💕!! ALSO WE GOT TO SEE LEOPOLD BEING COOL AND FIGHT AGAINST ONE OF THE WIZARD KINGS!
And finally…I NEED MORE LORE ON THE WIZARD KINGS LIKE??? I NEED IT, WHAT WERE THOSE SMALL GLIMPSES OF THE PAST? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM, WHY WERE THEY ALL STRIPPED OF THEIR RANK?? DID THE ICE MAGE KNOW NOELLE SOMEHOW?? I NEED TO KNOW PLEASE I BEG OF YOU 😭😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏!!!!
My only gripes would be that we didn’t get to see much of Julius and that sometimes I got dizzy and i actually had to close my eyes at one point 😅. But that’s really my only gripes.
Now onto my mother 👀!
Firstly; She thinks Conrad is a cheaty cheaty cheater who does nothing but cheat 😆! She finds Jester annoying af, she said FunnyBunny was Black Clover’s Erza Scarlet, and…she didn’t have any opinions on the Ice Mage other than she felt he was related to Noelle in some way 😅!
She felt the movie was very disappointing, and I think her main problem was with the storyline and character development.
She said it was her least favorite and, in her opinion, the least interesting. She felt that she couldn’t really connect with the bad guys and that the good guys didn’t really “earn” their win since they didn’t get any power upgrades or anything, which is understandable. I think if the movie had been broken up into episodes and more was able to be shown that she would have liked it more 🤔.
She did have parts of it she liked tho! Mainly with Mereo (she is my moms favorite BC female character) 😆.
She loved when Mereo was first shown and said quote: “Yeah She doesn’t play around, she will not hesitate to kick your ass” 😆! She also loved when Mereo grabbed Sekke by the head before he could run away “He deserved it!” was her reasoning as to why she liked it.
And finally she found it HILARIOUS when Grey turned the Ice into Water and Magna began surfing and just randomly said “Alright here we go!”.
I don’t know why she found it so funny, and in turn so did I, but I think it was because of how his VA said it 😆!
Anywho, that's just our opinion. I liked it. Mom didn’t. It happens 😅!

Your Last Words: Chiaki Nanami
Death oneshot #2. Chiaki Nanami’s death from Danganronpa (the anime) replaced by Noelle while her siblings are forced to watch.
“And here we are! A punishment for the black sheep of house Silva! Escape if you can…” As the lady snickered, Noelle looked around while clenching her teeth. It was dark and the stone wall has lots of vines, and there was something weird about the tiles on the floor.
Perhaps, we should start a little while before this mess…
“Ugh… Can’t believe we had to take her with us…” Nebra whispered to Solid sourly.
“I know! It’s a simple investigation mission, so low for royalty like us to have to do!” He spouted.
“Both of you quit your bickering and pay attention. The four of us are on official business assigned by the wizard King himself. Take this more seriously.” Nozel’s glare shot daggers at them.
Noelle looked back at them and back forward. She was walking next to Nozel. She sighed and look down at her.
“Just ignore them, they’re still trying to adapt to the whole situation, it’ll take them a while. However, I’m sure they’ll come around eventually…”
“It’s fine… I don’t need them. Although, I guess it would be nice to get along with them for a change.” She spoke, Nozel nodded in agreement.
“What are we investigating again, Nozel?” Solid walked up closer to him.
“It’s Captain, and we’re investigating an abandoned property near Lithia. Apparently people have been going in and mostly not coming out, and those who have seemed to have gone insane.” Nozel explained, Solid nodded.
“Oh, Lithia… For a commoner’s town it’s not complete trash.”
They continued on until they came across the giant abandoned property. “Hm… It’s smaller than what I was expecting…” Nebra said.
“Let’s go.” Nozel ordered, his siblings followed him inside. When they entered… It seemed like any ordinary entrance. They looked around. Some old antiques… Books… Mice and moldy food… Lots of spider webs… Nothing seemed out of the ordinary… Well, until…
“Well, well, well! Who do we have here!? Four mages from house Silva? Must be my lucky day! This is gonna be so much fun…
Everything went black.
When Noelle woke up, she was in this small room, there only seemed to be one exit. ‘Ugh… What happened? Is Asta fighting Luck again? No… That’s right! The mission with Nozel, Nebra, and Solid!’ Upon her realization, she quickly stood up on guard. She reached for her grimoire, but only found emptiness. “What!? Where’s my grimoire!?”
Nozel, Nebra, and Solid though… They woke up somewhere else. A strange dimly lit ballroom? There didn’t seem to be any windows and the giant doors wouldn’t budge. Not even Magic could bust them down.
The three of them stopped scurrying around when they saw the handy work of communication magic. “Welcome! Hello there House Silva!”
“What have you done with Noelle!?” Nozel yelled, all they did was laugh.
“Always with that… I’ve brought you here today because… I would love to see what your faces would look like filled with despair! I’m gonna bring you three down into the depths of despair! I’ll drown you in it, and what better than this?”
“You insane freak! Where are you!?” Solid shouted in frustration.
Noelle looked around and suddenly the doors opened, she cautiously walked out and they shut behind her.
“And here we are! A punishment for the black sheep of house Silva! Escape if you can…” As the lady snickered, Noelle looked around while clenching her teeth. It was dark and the stone wall has lots of vines, and there was something weird about the tiles on the floor.
She walked forward for a bit, suddenly a spike rose from the ground, Noelle jumped back. Any closer and that could’ve stabbed her foot! She just needs to think about what kind of situation she was in… She’s alone in a maze with traps, separated from her siblings. She seemed to have been captured by some insane freak…
Nozel, Nebra, and Solid looked at what was being broadcasted and their hearts sank. It was Noelle, their little sister… Oh god…
Noelle quickly walked through what seemed to be endless corridors. Her arm was bleeding from one of the saws that came from the wall.
“Wow, you’re doing super well! As expected from Noelle Silva of the amazing and chaotic Black Bulls!”
Noelle clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. What the hell was wrong with this bastard!? This was just some sick game?
As she took another step, the tile pressed down as she stepped on it and spikes rose up and stabbed straight through Noelle’s foot. She stumbled back into the floor and shrieked in pain. She yanked her foot off and bit the inside of her cheek.
She picked herself up and continued on.
“Noelle…” Nozel muttered to himself. His heart was beating quickly. Nebra and Solid watched in horror. She was gonna make it through, right? As much as they would hate to admit it, Noelle is strong and part of a strong squad… This is just… an obstacle…
“You know when I heard about the Black Bulls getting second place at the star festival a year or two ago, I was shocked. I thought to myself, ‘Wow! The Black Bulls got so cool! Just who are these new rookies anyways?’ And then I learned about you! I’m certainly not disappointed. Sad to say nobody will be coming to save you though…”
“You’re wrong!” Noelle spat. “They’ll come for me! My siblings! We may not get along, but they still… Care about me! I’m not gonna die before we can get along!” She was determined and limped through the halls.
Solid hadn’t realized it, but he was shaking quite a bit. He never cared before… However, hearing Noelle say he does… Sounds too truthful to deny. Perhaps he cares more for her than he thought. She was his little sister after all… He hoped she could make it through this crazy psychopath’s game…
“You inspired many people. That’s why you specifically caught my eye…”
Noelle heard rumbling behind her and turned around to see a big boulder coming her way. Her eyes widened. She turned back and quickened her pace to the best of her ability. Rocks flew at her coming out of nowhere. She could barely see out of her right eye, blood streamed from her eye and down her face. She groaned, but continued on.
“Noelle!” Nebra shouted. Noelle couldn’t die. There’s still so much to be done. When Nebra found out that Noelle wasn’t the reason for her mother’s death, something inside of her made her feel sad. She had treated Noelle horribly for something she didn’t even do. She wanted to make up for it, but she has no idea how to do anything like that. So she’s just been treating her the same…
Don’t die, Noelle…
“I’m not going to let you win… I’m going to beat you…” Noelle muttered with her hand on her eye. A saw popped out from the wall, she ducked, but then another and another came, she spun her body around and somehow managed to barely miss them all.
Noelle turned the corner and waited till the boulder had gone by. She looked down at the ground and back up. “Me, Nozel, even Nebra and Solid! We’ll beat you and you’re gonna regret ever messing with people’s lives!”
“Yes, that’s it! That’s the hope I want to completely destroy and drown in an ocean of despair…” Noelle heard the laugher. She looked ahead, her vision was blurry and her legs felt like they were being torn apart… She walked forward and looked at her hand. No matter how many times she tried, she couldn’t use any magic! A knife flew at Noelle, she could barely react, she moved out of harm’s way, but it pierced her cloak and pinned her to the wall. She coughed upon impact. She slid out of her cloak and kept going…
“I won’t give up! If there’s anything being in the Black Bulls has taught me… It’s that you should never give up no matter what!”
“You know what? I’m feeling rather nice! I’ll give you ten seconds!” The voice spoke. Noelle hurriedly limped through the hallway.
“10.”
“9.”
“8.”
“7…”
Noelle screamed in pain as a spear went directly through her thigh. Blood trickled down her leg and tears down her face.
“Oh… It seems my timing was off… Forgive me, will you?”
“DAMMIT! You’ll pay for this…” Nozel yelled and mumbled to himself. He tried to use his magic, but it wouldn’t work. The door was too strong to break without it… Nozel and his siblings were utterly powerless to save their sister. It was one of the worst feelings they had ever felt…
Noelle didn’t say anything this time, she leaned against the wall and continued yet again. After all, she didn’t have any other choice… She left a trail of blood behind her. Her vision seemed red and sounds were echoing, it was too much for her to handle. She felt like sobbing more than she already was. That’s when she looked ahead and saw a door labeled, ‘Goal’.
She wobbled over and placed her hand on the doorknob… She opened and saw a light. Huh? The Black Bulls…? Why were they here…? They were all smiling at her.
Nozel, Nebra, and Solid looked over and saw Noelle through the door she had opened. They ran over, but they were stopped when they ran into a barrier.
“What the!? What the hell is this!?” Nozel stuttered out. He and his siblings looked at Noelle’s beaten body, she seemed so out of it. He desperately punched and kicked the barrier all he could but it was no use…
“What’re you waiting for Noelle? C’mon!” Asta smiled and held out his hand. Noelle took a few steps forward and reached her hand out when… A spear ran straight through her body. She coughed and stumbled back. However, before her body could hit the floor, spikes rose from the floor and stabbed her all over. After about a second or two they returned to the floor and dropped Noelle’s body. Blood splattered from Noelle’s body when she hit the floor creating a pool of blood.
“NOELLE!” Nozel shouted. What the hell was this? Was this real!?
“NOELLE! Noelle please don’t! I’m sorry, I’m sorry, just please get up I’m sorry…” Solid screamed as tears went down his face and he sank to the floor. He had been so horrible to her, and for what!? He just wanted to take it all back at that moment… All of it. He wanted to take all of those years back. It’s crazy how only a few seconds can make you regret something so badly…
Nebra on the other hand was frozen. She stood there in silence with her hand over her mouth and tears streaming from her eyes.
Noelle’s eyes cracked open and she took a raspy breath. ‘Is that Solid…? Crying…? And Nozel’s… yelling?’ She thought to herself. She turned herself over and tried to pick herself up. Although the more tension she put into her limbs, the worse it hurt. She looked up and saw her siblings. What were those faces? She had never seen an expression like that of any of them before…
She began to slowly crawl over to them, but her knee slipped in her blood causing her to tumble back down.
Nozel flinched. This was so stupid. She was right there! In front of him… and yet he couldn’t get to her no matter how much he tried… This was the most painful thing he had ever endured in his life.
“Yeah… I’m probably not going to make it…” She muttered to herself. “Nozel… I’m sorry…”
“There’s nothing to be sorry for Noelle, now come on.”
She shook her head with a weak smile. “I… don’t think I can…” She explained. She looked at her other two siblings. “Hey Solid… Nebra…” Solid looked up at her and Nebra’s lip trembled. “I forgive you two… Even after everything…”
“Even after all of this, you’d still forgive them?” The evil voice asked.
Noelle nodded. “Of course… I love my siblings… and my squad… and all of my friends… They all helped me to become stronger…” Tears ran down her cheeks.
All her siblings could do was watch her bleed out… How utterly cruel indeed. Nozel couldn’t stand this anymore. He promised his mother that he’d take care of her. He tried so hard to keep her out of danger and look what happened… He failed… This wasn’t how her life was supposed to go! She’s not supposed to meet Acier yet!
Noelle cried more and her body shook more than it was before. “No… I’m not ready to go yet… There’s still things I want to do… I’m not ready…” She sobbed. Nebra stumbled back and Solid cried more. Nozel hadn’t even noticed his breathing had stopped. “Please…” She reached her arm out. “Just let me see them… One last time…”
Her hand dropped… and she was dead…
Noelle Silva of the Black Bulls had died that day leaving three broken hearts without a clue of what happened.
The barrier vanished. Nozel rushed over and tried to get her to wake up, or say something, or do anything! Nebra was too scared to walk over to her little sister’s body… She wasn’t worthy after all that she’s done. All her body could do was walk over to Solid and hug him.
“I’m sorry Noelle… I’m sorry mother…” Nozel stuttered.
If only he had done something different…

Sometimes these assignments were trivial. Other times, they were not.
Finding the obsidian was the easy part, or so Noelle thought. Volcanic glass, right? But the short courier soon found herself laughed out of every smithy in the realm she was sent to. It wasn’t until days later that she found that there was a mystical technique to manipulate the earth elementals to shape the rock while it was still molten. On top of that, the elementals needed to work in concert with golems and all of them needed to be trained in the art and practiced.
Two beings in the realm had the knowledge. A great wizard who was said to be at least three centuries old, and a deadly dragon who held their domain in it’s clawed grasp.
So off she went. Of course, neither of these targets were exactly close. A lengthy voyage on a ship led her to a city of ivory towers. So bright and gleaming she needed to squint and shield her eyes under her hood. Even then, it took three days of asking around and running odd-jobs to find just where this magus’ tower was.
He was not keen on being disturbed. While she did manage to pry out of him that he was capable of making such a thing, the price he quoted was so astronomical (and would require her soul to fuel the process) that Noelle chose to flee. Inconveniently, assassins made an attempt on him the following night, and she was marked under suspicion and had to flee the city.
--
Her efforts in the land of the dragon seemed doomed to failure as well. The settlements were under the wyrm’s brutal authority, and while securing an audience was less difficult, actually convincing the dragon to help was another matter.
The conversation had shifted to the dragon wondering if they should eat her for wasting their time, when Noelle mentioned she also failed to convince the magus. By a twist of fortune, the dragon and the magus had a longstanding rivalry. Presented an opportunity to one-up the pompous mage, the dragon was more than happy to fabricate several suits of armor for free just to really slander the mage’s name.
---
Finally, after several months of work Noelle returns to the Chasm with the armors...and finds that mere days have passed. Her cloak is tattered and she has ash from the dragon’s forge operations baked onto her face. She looks exhausted as she approaches the counter.
“Delivery for you, Asova. Obsidian armor.”

Why Black Clover is not a (if Naruto and Fairy Tail had a baby) type of Anime
Sick and tired of people comparing these 3 anime so when I came across a tiktok with points on why they are all the same by @/jersey.kawaii I was like hey I don’t have nothing to do.
So here is my take on why they are not the same along with the points they made on why they were. Sorry if this looks choppy
Loud mouth protag with something to prove.
Naruto Uzumaki: Becoming Hokage so the village would respect him. Being loud so he would be noticed. Did not become OP with Kurama’s help until during the Ninja War Arc. Before that Kurama didn’t help in Naruto’s growth and took every opportunity to control his body when his host was overcome with hatred  which would send Naruto into a rampage
Natsu Dragneel: Was raised by a dragon and said dragon left him at a very young age. Is just very boisterous and overall friendly. Does not have a set goal (besides finding his father which he later does) just wants to go on adventures with his guild mates. (not all caught up with fairy tail 100 year quest) He did not get help from a demon Natsu was already half demon and a Dragon Slayer.
Asta: Wants to become the wizard king because he wants to prove that even if you’re poor or have no magic anything can be possible so long as you don’t give up on yourself. Grew up in an orphanage. Born with no magic but did not let that stop him from training. Is very boisterous but has a certain charm after a while. After requiring his grimoire Asta didn’t know anything about the demon living inside of it until much later. The grimoire chose him because he was the ONLY person in that world who could use it.
Rival/Best Friend
Sasuke Uchiha: Has black hair and an attitude problem. Watched his clan be slaughtered by his older brother and then had a curse mark forced upon him. Does not share a goal with Naruto
Gray Fullbuster: Has black hair and an attitude problem. Fire and Ice don’t mix unless you’re Shoto Todoroki. Does not share a goal with Natsu
Yuno: Has black hair and an attitude problem: If anything Yuno should be in a league of his own when it comes to the rivalry he has with Asta. It’s a give and take for both of them and Yuno will get upset if people underestimate Asta. He acknowledges that it was Asta who helped him become a strong mage and now shares a goal. He was not cursed if anything the power he has would be called a blessing
Female Lead
Sakura Haruo: Best friends of the protag and tends to hit him a lot and deemed useless by fandom: She was not Naruto’s best friend growing up. If anything she always called him annoying and a burden. Would hit him for the most outrageous reasons. Their relationship got better when he returned to the Leaf Village. Was very useless in part 1 of Naruto but is a great ninja in part 2. However her personality as a human being is complete garbage
Lucy Heartfilla: Best friends of the protag and tends to hit him a lot and deemed useless by fandom: Natsu and Lucy are like two peas in a pod. If you add Happy then they could be thought of as the three stooges. Is not weak but less strong than other members of her guild.
Noelle Silva: Best friends of the protag and tends to hit him a lot and deemed useless by fandom: She cares for Asta because he was the one to help her with her magic. Stood up for her when she was being bullied by her family. Is just as strong if not stronger than Asta. Has a crush on Asta but doesn’t know how to deal (total tsundere however much cuter when it’s Noelle). She is very much in love with protag
The more reserved female character
Hinata Hyuga: Who is in love with the protagonist and he does not notice and or care...Pretty much her whole character
Lisanna Strauss: Who is in love with the protagonist and he does not notice and or care: She was at a time and Natsu did have feelings for her as well (they raised Happy together and promised to get married) however Natsu had presumed her deceased after being told by her siblings and did not know that she was in another world. Upon her return she supported the relationship between Lucy and Natsu (if anything was their biggest shipper)
Mimosa Vermillion: Who is in love with the protagonist and he does not notice and or care: Has more to offer than just being known as a girl who loves the protag. Asta does not notice because he is in love with sister Lilly (it’s not going anywhere Asta) but I’m sure if he did know he would care because that is just who Asta is.
The character that was a villain but now is part of the group
Gaara of the Sand: He was just doing a job he was told to do. Always felt like an outcast because of the One Tail being sealed inside of him. Really started to change because of the kinsmenship he had with Naruto who was the only person who could really understand him
Gajeel Redfox: The character that was a villain but now is part of the group...Honestly where is the lie?
Zora Ideale: Less of a villain more of an anti-hero. Zora was always part of the Black Bulls unofficially he just really hated Royals and magic knights. After meeting Asta he made up his mind to become an official member of the Black Bulls
Mentor / father figure
Jiraiya: Overpowered and dubbed himbo of the show: Overpowered kinda but then again he did die and we really didn’t get to see more of his abilities. He’s more of a pervert than a himbo. Himbo- an attractive but unintelligent man. Jiraiya was plenty smart and nowhere near unintelligent, again he’s just a huge pervert.
Gildarts Clive: Overpowered and dubbed himbo of the show: To be honest I don't remember much about him. I can say he was overpowered and that's all I can really remember of him and that he didn't know he had a daughter. Status: Alive
Yami Sukehiro: Overpowered and dubbed himbo of the show: (Copying off his Wiki Page) Yami is uncouth, reckless, slightly hypocritical, and prone to delivering death threats at the slightest provocation. Nevertheless, he is a powerful and well-respected Magic Knight who was able to recognize Asta's merits when none of the other Captains would give him a chance.
He is typically a stoic man who believes more in actions than in words. He is very hot-headed, who can be easily angered by small matters. In other words overpowered yes but well earned and not a Himbo. Status: Alive

Hi Erika♡ for your ask game: 003 with William, Licht, Nozel, Fuegoleon, and Julius if u can
Oh, yay! I finally get to rank some characters! Thank goodness. I do like the other options just fine. But there are three options for a reason, to be used.
Sorry that it took a while to address this ask. It came in later than the others and I tend to answer asks in the order they appear in my inbox.
Now, time to rank some men.
..........
Licht: Big surprise. Licht is my favorite from this group. I may have a gigantic bias because I simp for him. I am weak for men who can and will beat me in a fight and possibly threaten me with a blade to my throat (not saying Licht specifically would but you get the idea). What else can I say? Aside from being handsome, he's also one of most reasonable people in the group. In the past, he was one of a few people who believed that elves and humans could live alongside each other. His optimism and kindness makes me soft. And then, in the present, he shows off why he led the elves. He is kind and understanding towards Patry, quickly recognizes his new allies in the mages of the present, and gives his all in the fight against Zagred. I wish he could've stuck around but the afterlife with Tetia called to him I guess. My biggest complaint (which isn't even because of him) is that whenever I try to look him up, I also end up with pictures of Patry because Patry posed at him for a long time. Long story short, I love Licht.
Nozel Silva: I think he only gets this high on the list because I simped for him. Also me and a very good friend of mine (@/cringeyvanillamilk) have ocs we ship with him so there's some fondness built on that. Nozel is a stern and distant person, to be sure, but he still uses his power for the greater good and acknowledges people's strength (given enough time). He is one of those people that you probably wouldn't like working with but would be glad to have on your side. His relationship with Noelle needs so much work and I'm glad that Tabata has finally made it possible for a greater reconciliation to be made.
Fuegoleon Vermillion: I will attribute my fondness for Fuegoleon to Steph and @/thoughtfullyrainynightmare. He's an admirable man in many regards. He shows a great passion while still showing discipline. In some alternate universe, I might've simped for him. But in this universe, I simply see him as a very cool leader and older brother figure. His relationships with Mereoleona and Leopold are entertaining too, especially Mereo since she is guaranteed person to bring out Fuego's petty side. Overall, a good guy.
Julius Novachrono: The Wizard King himself. I think my opinion of him is a bit lower in this ranking because of how he got nerfed by the story and then the nerf reveal in-universe. Why couldn't he stay awesome and older forever. sigh Still, his presence in the world is so influential. William and Yami, some of the strongest mages in series, really look up to him. Yuno and Asta want to surpass him. Spade held off on invading because of the threat of Julius' power. While I don't find myself attracted to Julius, to all the people who self-ship or have ocs to ship with Julius, you have good taste.
William Vangeance: Uh... the guy is an instrument to terrorism? I get why lots of people like him. He has an interesting magic attribute, a calm nature, and a tender heart. He's also handsome and I'm not even put off by the scar because I already saw something similar in Demon Slayer. But he betrayed an entire nation of people as well as the first man to see past his appearance to find a brave and kind magic knight. All that betrayal just for Patry's sake. Maybe if I grew up with Patry's soul in my body I would think differently but as it stands, I just can't abide by William's choice. That is something that I won't let go of easily. At least he wants to right his wrong but he should've been punished more. William lovers, you are free to love William. Just don't expect me to join easily.

Nozel x Reader
Title: Working This Out Fluff No Warning
A/N: This has some Fairy Tale Quotes and mentions in it.
“Hey Noelle, don’t listen to your siblings. Your siblings will never grow stronger with their way of thinking.” You said placing a hand on her head. She looked up at you and you gave her a soft smile, she always seen you as a older sister, even though you two weren’t blood related. That was because you would always encourage her that she was fine the way she was even if she couldn’t control her magic.
“What do you mean?” She asked sitting down bringing her knees to her chest, you sat beside her not noticing that the other Silva siblings were listening.
“Listen, any power that surpasses reason, still comes from reason right? Magic isn’t some kind of miraculous power, it is a talent that only works when the flow of energy inside of us and the flow of energy in the natural world are in perfect synchronization. To perform magic one must have a strong mind and the ability to focus, it should take over your being and come pouring out of your soul. If all we do is worry about following rules, than our magic will never progress. So don’t let your siblings bring you down.”
“So...they won’t grow stronger because they control it?”
“Precisely, as the words of a great mage and master of my guild would say ‘Don’t let the blow hards in your family frighten you, follow your heart, because that’s the way of a truly strong wizard. In your case magic knight.” You winked at her, she smiled hugging you tightly.
“Wait, but isn’t that the reason why the fairy tail guild always get massive repair bills, and have to do damages?” Noelle asked, you fell forward before laughing rubbing your neck.
“Well yes but that’s because well we don’t know how to hold back, when we see people abusing their magic and using it for terrible reasons we tend to get a little out of hand to stop them...I am not telling you to go to the point of destroying villages, countries, or islands. I am just saying, don’t try to control it too much or else you will never grow stronger.”
“I understand, thank you (Y/N). I want to work even harder and get even stronger.”
“Well if you ever need help, I am here to help.” You said ruffling her white hair. She smiled and ran off, to go practice her magic. You leaned back running your hand through your hair as you smiled warmly. You stared at the sky before seeing a familiar face staring down at you, you raised an eyebrow at your fiance, Nozel.
“Can I help you?”
“You really think she can surpass us?”
“Yepp?”
“Are you an idiot?”
“Nope you are, and if you want to prove my theory and guildmaster wrong about controlling it. I would be more than happy to battle it out with you.” You said removing your jacket to show your fairy tail guild mark. Nozel sighed sitting beside you shaking his head as if not wanting to fight you.
“I am not going to fight you, you are my fiance. My future wife, so I rather keep us on good terms.”
“Well I hate to break it to you. Noelle is like my little sister, and I know she is blood related to you, but if you, your parents or other siblings keep bringing her down because she isn’t living up to the Silva name and as a royal I the good terms will be burned. My parents said it was fate to marry you, but like Natsu a close friend of mine. I don’t believe in fate. I will burn fate to ashes. And Gladly fight you guys myself, I am sure my parents would understand and gladly break all ties with you guys, and I am sure the fairy tail guild would gladly take in Noelle until she decided what she wanted to do.” You said. Nozel stared at you, you were a strong woman, and he knew you meant every word you said. This was the issue that you two ran into everyday. You guys disagreed on everything, from how magic works, to how Noelle should be treated, to how even Commoners should be treated. There wasn’t one thing that you guys agreed on and it annoyed Nozel since he was trying hard.
“(Y/N), that’s not necessary. Why are you even part of such a guild when your parents are alive and well.”
“Uh because my parents grew up in that guild, I grew up in that guild. That’s why, royal or not I can care less.” You said shaking your head staring at him, you met Nozel’s eyes and he was going to say you should leave the guild it’s not how a lady of your status should be, but you held a hand up to him.
“Don’t even, I know what you are going to say. I don’t care, I am not leaving my family, my home for your sake. Or this marriage sake. I agreed, because I get to be around Noelle more, and protect her from you guys. Not because I loved your cared about the ties my parents have. I have a brother they can marry off to your other sister. “ You said, Nozel began to massage his temple before glaring at you slightly.
“You really are too much for me to handle.”
“Oh? The flattery thank you.” You said with a grin before going back to looking at the sky. He looked at the sky with you and you smiled warmly, enjoying the breeze. What you didn’t know was Nozel wanted to be close to you, he didn’t agree with anything but he wanted to try and see your point in view of things. But it was hard especially when you made it clear you weren’t in the marriage for any other reason than Noelle. He looked at you, and took in your appearance, you were beautiful, kind, maybe too kind, and you always had a smile on your face no matter the situation.
He knew he was in love, he just hated that there was no way to actually get alone with you. You always just pushed him aside despite being his fiance. He grew more frusterated with you and himself, he really didn’t know how this would work.
“Oi, quit staring will ya? It’s getting creepy, do I have something on my face or something?” You asked poking his forehead. He blinked several of times, realizing he was caught. He quickly looked away blushing, and that caught you off guard.
“...Uhm, are you...blushing?”
“Of course not.”
“Oh my god you are.”
“No, I am not.”
“Yes you are. It’s cute.”
“I am...wait what?” he looked at you wide eyes, you began laughing hard holding your stomach hunching over.
“Omg, your blushing, I can’t believe it. You... are actually blushing. I never thought I would see the day~!” You quickly took a picture of his red cheeks, and his eyes widen.
“Hey give that back.” He said reaching for the camera you had, you ran off from him laughing even harder.
“Not a chance, I am keeping this forever, I never know when I am gonna ever get to see this again. This is blackmail worthy right here.” You said making the camera disappear before he could get it. He growled glaring at you, and you continued to laugh at his face.
“All those thoughts...and yet I think I realize I hate you.”
“Wait a minute you were thinking about me too? I got it, you are totally in love with me.”
“I am not!” Nozel yelled completely losing his composure. You continued to laugh, and he felt like he wanted to strangle you.
“Who would have thought, the great and might Nozel would have fallen in love in a forced marriage with someone he can’t agree on anything.” You said continuing to tease him, he growled walking past you pushing you to the side. He hated you sometimes, and right now this was one of those moments. You stopped laughing when he pushed you to the side, you looked back seeing that he was actually really upset.
“Wait are you... really upset?” He ignored you, and you blinked before grabbing his hand gently. He froze before turning to look at you, once he did that you planted a kiss on his lips. His eyes widen in shock and you parted with a smile. He blushed even darker, looking at you confused as to why you kissed him.
“I was joking around okay. Don’t take everything to heart, its more fun joking then being serious all the time. You should try it.” You said before walking off to find Noelle. He stood there before wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his face into your neck.
“Hmm?” You leaned into his warmth and he tightened his hold on you.
“Only thing that I truly meant, is how you treated Noelle, and her being able to surpass you with your narrow way of thinking. But the blackmail, loving me, and what not was all a joke.”
“Yet you hit it on the nail. But I am glad you won’t blackmail with that photo.”
“Well it’s not hard. I make no promises, though I don’t know how you plan to make this work when we are always arguing.”
“Who knows...” He mumbled against your neck. You relaxed completely into his hold letting a smile cross your lips.
“But, I do know that I want it to work.” He said, you looked back at him and he met your eyes.
“Might want to work on being nice to your sister, and just work on being a better person. You are a complete asshole, right now. I don’t like it one bit.” You said, he sighed before squeezing you harder.
“Yeah yeah. I will work on it... no promises though.”

Melting Heart
Nozel Silva x reader
A 100 follower raffle one-shot for @wildcreationmagic ! Enjoy!
Nozel Silva hated things that didn't make sense. This world was a simple one, as far as he knew. The amount of magic a person had dictated their entire life: whether they could join the magic knights, whether they were royalty or nobility, and whether they were worthy of Nozel's acknowledgement. As the Captain of the Silver Eagles squad, he only chose the very best to fight alongside him. Those with powerful magic that came from their bloodline, rarely a commoner that just managed to get lucky.
And yet...
You somehow made it into his squad.
Your magic was amazing, he admitted that much. It was Wild Magic, the ability to create temporary creatures that you could command on your own. It was as close as someone could get to creating life, something many mages had sought after. You were the hot pick for that exam, and everyone was surprised when you were taken into the Silver Eagles, a squad well-known to be exclusive to nobles. However, you weren't fazed by it in the least. Even Nozel had to admire you. However, the same wasn't true for his two younger siblings.
"You won't believe what I saw the other day," Solid sneered. "You know that commoner in the squad? I caught Noelle talking to her! Like they were old friends, too."
"How disgraceful... Noelle, speaking to a commoner? I mean, I guess she would stoop that low."
Nozel said nothing, just nodded along with a blank expression on his face.
------
"That mage in the woods has been stealing a lot from our storehouses lately. We really appreciate you tracking them down for us."
Nozel wasn't sure how he ended up on this mission to the boonies. This was work more befitting of a lower squad such as the Black Bulls or the Grey Deer. But he had to go, it was the Wizard King's orders. The one problem was...
"Don't worry, sir, we'll catch this crook in no time!" you told the mayor proudly, saluting. "The Silver Eagles are the very best you could wish for!"
The two of you walked off into the woods after that, searching for any sign of the troublemaker. You hummed to yourself as you walked, your cloak swishing behind you and your hair bobbing around your head. Nozel caught himself staring out of the corner of his eye and quickly looked away. No, no NO! She is NOT cute. I do NOT think she's cute. "You know, you shouldn't be so optimistic in front of the civilians," Nozel finally said, referring to your behavior earlier. "We're used to more important tasks, after all, these types of missions are menial. Also, don't be so friendly. They'll start getting friendly, too."
"I don't get what's wrong with being friendly," you answered, scowling a bit at his words. "And this is important. Our job is to protect the kingdom, right?"
"I'm Royalty. The affairs of peasants don't bother me," he replied, glancing back over at you. "There are much more pressing issues we could be dealing with right now."
You suddenly stopped and placed your hands on your hips. "I'm royalty this, I'm royalty that, honestly Nozel, you're a magic knight. You swore to protect every member of this kingdom, right?"
Nozel was shocked at the audacity, but it was also... kind of hot. But you were still talking back to your captain. "I don't appreciate being talked to like this," he snapped. "Anyway... yes, I swore that. But the way I see it-" Suddenly, he stopped, sensing mana behind you. "Look out!" Without hesitation, he leaped forward and pushed you to the ground, a moment before a spike of ice went zipping by. "This might be the criminal, let's go!"
You nodded and sprung back to your feet. "Wild Creation Magic: Power of the Pack!" Instantly, four wolves materialized around you, their eyes glowing. They sniffed the air and took off in the direction of your attacker. "This way!"
Wow... that's pretty amazing, Nozel caught himself thinking. NO! Get your mind straight... He shook of the thoughts and ran off after you and the wolves.
"They should be right up ahead..." Suddenly, your eyes widened as the mana from your wolves disappeared. "He's strong! And-" You spotted another flurry of ice shooting towards Noel. No! Nozel! Thinking quickly, you grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the way while yelling out another spell. "Butterfly barrier!" Nozel blinked in surprise as the ice was blocked just before it hit him. You spotted a small cave as more ice rained down, at least that would be a covered area to launch a counterattack. You and Nozel jumped inside before turning around. "Now, we can-"
Ice was suddenly covering the entrance, trapping you inside. Nozel grit his teeth, "This isn't a problem." He sent a few mercury spears, but they glanced off the ice without any damage. "Huh? It's really that durable?"
The criminal ran away, leaving you two to futily try to chip away at the ice. "No! We're going to have to wait for it to wear off..." you groaned, sitting down heavily on the ground. Nozel kicked at it for a few more minutes before slumping down against the cave wall. "It's your fault we're in this mess."
"My fault? I just saved your worthless life," you spat back. Nozel opened his mouth to say something back, but then looked away. She's right... she saved me. She's right about a lot of things...
You sighed, casting your gaze down. "I'm sorry... that was uncalled for,"
"No. It was." Nozel turned back to look down at you. "...Thanks for saving me. We'll probably have to spend the night in here, though."
You nodded, then shivered as the ice started to cool down the cave. Nozel noticed, then cautiously scooted closer to you. "You're cold?"
"...yeah." You hugged your knees to your chest, trying to trap in your body heat. You glanced up as Nozel was suddenly only inches away from you.
This is embarrassing... yet, I may not get this opportunity again. I'm a fool, after all. "If you're uncomfortable, we can...uh... you know..." Nozel gulped and looked away, doing his best not to blush. "...share body heat."
You stared at him for a moment, incredulous. Nozel thought that your silence was a rejection, but then he looked back to see your cheeks dusted with pink.
"Ah... okay."
Wait, she actually said yes? Nozel snapped out of it and awkwardly wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his chest. His eyes widened at how cold you were. "Here..." He took off his cape and spread it over the two of you like a blanket. "The only reason I'm doing this is because it's practical, you know."
You raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Then, I can do this to rest my head, right?" He stiffened up as you gently laid your head on his shoulder. After a moment, he relaxed.
"I suppose."
The two of you laid in silence, passive-aggressively cuddling each other as the sun went down and the cave went dark. The feeling of your body next to his was comforting... no, thrilling.
Look at me. I’m really falling in love with a commoner, aren't I?
"Nozel?"
"Yes?"
"...I'm sorry for talking back so much today. I just... really don't like the way you Royals look down on commoners."
"No, I deserved it. In fact..." You felt his head come down to rest on top of yours, making your heart flutter a bit. "Thank you. I need someone like you to tell me when I'm wrong."
You smiled to yourself at the admission, letting your hand rest on his chest. "...damn right you do."
With that, you both eventually drifted off to sleep. It was cold in that cave, but by morning, the ice had melted from the entrance. You had a feeling that ice was melting from someone's heart, as well.

Black Clover chapter 258 reaction and spoilers
Can’t wait to see this Asta and Yami team up animated. It’s going to be fun to watch them move in sync.
Asta has to bargain a part of himself away to gain more devil power. It’ll be interesting to see if the part he gave up was part of his soul, creating a permanent horn weg or if the part of himself he gave up is a portion of hir right arm which now looks more demonic than I think we’ve seen it before. The retention of the horn when not using devil power is more likely I would think.
So, while Asta’s battle with Yami against Dante hasn’t ended, we do know by the end of it, Asta has given some of himself away, which, even if Asta and Yami triumph over Dante, is a loss for Asta since he’s losing a part of himself in the process. It also goes in line with how Yuno almost died against Xenon and Noelle failed to protect Loropechika from Vanica.
Yuno’s origin story on the road to Wizard King starts with his desire to protect Asta. The instant he’s confronted with how dangerous and possibly deadly it is for magicless Asta in a world of mages, Yuno withdraws into himself and strives to become the best so he can become Wizard King and subsequently protect the people and country he loves. This is why his battle ends with a sword in his side and Vangeance spirited away.
Noelle’s quest to prove herself is deeply rooted in loss. Loss of her mother, loss of love from family, possibly loss of her father as well. Every time we see Noelle gain a new spell or more control over her magic, it’s about caring and protecting others. This is why she succeeded in making the water bubble early on for transport because it was so very important the bubble never bursts or all her squadmates would have drowned. This is why Noelle fails to stop Vanica from kidnapping Loropechika. Why doesn’t Vanica actually kill Loropechika? I think part of it is to make this larger arc different from the larger Reincarnation Arc we just finished and also because Noelle’s already motivated by the death of her mother, so Loropechika represents someone she can actually save from Megicula and Vanica since Acier is no longer savable.
Asta’s greatest strength is his humanity and his willingness to talk things out. We’re seeing him give up both of these aspects in the fight against Dante. Several chapters ago, Asta said that he wasn’t going to be able to understand Dante and he didn’t want to listen to his reasoning, which is the first and only time I think Asta’s ever said such a thing. He’s seen enough in Spade to draw the conclusion that there is no common ground between them. Now, Asta’s given up either a part of his soul or part of his body - his humanity - to fight Dante.
So, Yuno will have to make up for being unable to protect Vangeance and Noelle will have to recover Loropechika whom she’s lost, but how will Asta bring himself closer to his goal once again by the end of this? How demonic will Asta become?
Julius said at the start of the larger arc that to protect the four kindgom system, Asta will have to die. We seem to be moving in a direction in which the people of Clover, Heart, Diamond, and Spade will have to unite against the Dark Triad to save the world. I’ve always suspected that as long as Asta lives, the possbility of all four kingdoms uniting as one or perhaps as a united front like the EU is possible, which might be what the real prophecy is about. However, I’m curious in which way Asta might die. As Asta becomes mroe demonic, perhaps it ensures that the countries will continue to be autonomous from each other because he’s going to eventually become too much of a threat and the other countries will shut Clover Kingdom out. Or it’s possible as Asta becomes more demonic, he will be the one to destroy all four kingdoms and they will really have to kill him. It’s a bit early to tell but I think we’re going to see Julius’ prophecy twisted at some point.
That said, I think tonally whichever way it falls, I think that Asta will more likely be purified or learn to live alongside his devil. We’re going to see Asta’s ideals put to the test along with his humanity it seems, and I think his ideals will win in the end whether there’s a Wizard King or not by the end of the series.

Light In the Darkness:
So I got what I consider good news from my Doctor today.  He wants to make a case study of me.  Yes, I might being a boring introvert that might one day be a bionic woman with all my joints replaced; but at least doctors find me interesting.  LOL.  The study might not mean much for me directly; but it might help other doctors better understand and treat patients with both hEDS and RA, and other illnesses caused by what I call the two big bads. Considering I’ve seen doctors who literally had to look up what hEDS is, this is something I see as a BIG win.  So here I am wanting to celebrate with you all but updating my three main fics.  Apologies to Erase the Shadow readers, I don’t have a lot for you; I promise I’m not drawing out the AizawaxReaderxMic smut scene to tease.  Anyway, here you all go.  I hope these updates can share a portion of my happiness with you.
Please remember this fic is rated mature and has warnings of violence, abuse, sexual tension, eventual sexual behavior, and other possible triggers.

Thank you to those who have left hearts.  And a special THANK YOU to those who have recently left comments or re-blogged. They really mean a lot.

Teris awoke the morning before her birthday to the maids pulling open the drapes and letting in the cursed sunlight.  Squinting, she looked around for Mistress Kleen then remember that the woman had left yesterday afternoon ill.
Just to be certain that the hateful woman hadn’t recovered and returned, Teris questioned trying to keep her hope in check.  “Where’s Mistress?”
“Ill.” A maid said.
“Convalescing in her own home, bed bound.  Another told.
“Yes!” Teris cheered jumping out of bed with an energy she hadn’t felt a second ago.  At the maids startled expressions she sobered, dropping her raised arms.  “I mean, I’m sorry and wish her a full recovery after my departure.”
The maid that had seen to her hair the previous morning fought a smile.
Teris clapped her hands once.  “Thank you ladies, but you are no longer needed.  Accept you.”  She pointed at the tress maid.  “I’d like you to stay if you’re willing.”
With a quick look back at her fellows she turned to Teris pointing to herself.  “Me, my Lady?”
“That’s right.  Unless you don’t wish to stay and help me appear presentable.”
“I’d be honored, my Lady.”
“Teris.” Teris said.
“My Lady Teris.”
“We’ll work on it.  What’s your name?”  Teris asked.
“Celine, my Lady Teris.”
“Everyone out.  Celine and I have work to do.”  She looked at the maid and told in all seriousness.  “I need you to be bold and forceful with me, Celine.  I must show that I am giving my maximum effort these next two days.  It won’t be even half as good as Mistress Kleen could accomplish in me.  But hopefully it will be enough to prove to my brother that I can be relied upon to make the attempt so he won’t ever call upon that horrid woman again.”  She made her way to the vanity and sat.  “Here’s hoping I’m never forced to wear a corset again.”

Joining the Silva’s and her brothers at the breakfast table in the morning room the four men rose from their seats.
“You’re late.”  Fyntch told.
“I’m glad to see you encouraged our guest to begin without me brother.” Teris smiled lightly as she sat in the chair Julius pulled out for her.  She turned to the Silva’s.  “Lord Nathyn, I hope you and your family can forgive my tardiness.  In all honestly, I couldn’t decide what to wear.”
Nozel smiled at her cheery mood and hoped that their time in the wee hours of the morning had played a part in her joy.  While they hadn’t found anything of use, they had looked through quite a bit.  Three of the five remaining shelves.  They probably could have done a fourth shelf if they hadn’t taken the time to get a late night snack and tallied so in the kitchens talking.  It had pleased him greatly to find that not only did they worked well together but when alone, and without a sense of familial pressure, Teris and he got along well and were comfortable just being who they were with each other.
“Your delay is acceptable.”  Nathyn said inclining his head wondering at the change in the girl, but pleased nonetheless.  “You are most becoming in our family’s colors.  Wouldn’t you agree, Nozel? Lady Teris looks lovely this morning.”
“I have yet to find a color the Lady Teris is incapable of making look good, father.”  Nozel told mindful of Teris’ feelings, turned his eyes to his father instead of her; an act, followed by such words would have undoubtedly upset her and ruined what they had achieved last night.
“You gentlemen and your fine words.  You’ll make me blush.”  Teris teased.
Julius’ quirked curiously as he looked at his sister out of the corner of his eye.  While the conversation between Fyntch and Nathyn picked back up, Julius whispered to her.  “You’re in a fine mood.  I take it you found something.”
“Not a even a hint to a clue.”  Teris whispered back keeping her smile in place.
“Then what’s with the proper lady act?”  Julius wondered almost inquiring in jest if the zealots made another attempt at abducting her last night and replaced her with a transformation mage.
“You wound me brother.”  Teris softly said over the rim of her glass of pear cider.  “I am capable of such an act that rivals the finest ladies society has to offer.  I just hate having to preform and so rarely choose to.”
“Very well.”  Julius allowed.  “Then why now?”
“Because,” she said giving Nebra the sweetest smile, “I refuse to have my ribs bruised and knuckles bloodied ever again.”
Julius scowled not understanding her meaning and wanting to demand who hurt her, his eyes flicking over to their brother.  Even if Fyntch hadn’t been the one to harm their sister he would likely have known about it, if not ordered it.
Setting down the glass of cider Teris said.  “Nebra, I know my expulsion and words against the Ladies League won me no favors with you but given that we will one day be sisters I was hoping you would do me the favor of teaching me a dance or two this afternoon.  It doesn’t have to take overly long.  Just enough to get me by so I don’t appear a complete fool during my birthday ball tomorrow.”
Lord Silva stopped speaking with Fyntch and looked over to his daughter. “Nebra.”  He encouraged when she didn’t answer right away.
“But of course.”  Nebra blinked her voice sounding strained.  “I would love to.  Anything for my future sister.”  She turned to her brothers.  “Nozel.  Solid.  You can join us.”
Nozel’s eyes slid to his sister wondering what she was up to.  Whatever it was, he wasn’t going to let her ruin his returned closeness with Teris.  “I would be happy to partner with you, Nebra.”
“You won’t be partnering with me silly.  You are far too proficient to require my guidance.  Where as Solid needs whatever help I can give him.  No.”  Nebra said.  “You shall be partnering with your future bride.”  She smiled violet eyes turning to Teris.  “Think of it as practice for the big day.”
Teris’ smile tightened around the edges.  “Lovely.”
23.3
After breakfast Julius, Fyntch, and Lord Silva retired to the study while the other four made their way to the ballroom.
Taking a seat Nathyn said to Julius.  “I hope your father will be well enough to join us for lunch.  He has gotten so thin.”
“He has.”  Julius nodded and looked to his younger brother for answer.
“That’s right,” Nathyn said.  “Forgive me, Julius.  I sometimes forget you left your fathers care to your younger brother along with your heir ship.
“It was a difficult decision.”  Julius said stiffly.  “And though Fyntch undoubtedly faced his share of problems because of my decision, my efforts to become the next Wizard King has certainly afforded him and the family name a significant rise in power and esteem.  I wonder Lord Silva.  Have you noted any benefits due my accomplishments and your name being tied to ours with this intent to see Nozel and Teris wed?”
Choosing not to remind the younger man that he was head of House Silva, the second family of the kingdom, Nathyn smiled coolly.  “None that your sisters actions haven’t undone.”
“If Teris is such an embarrassment why maintain the intent for your heir to be yoked to her?”  Julius asked.
Fyntch glanced quickly at Nathyn.
Nathyn sat back and crossed his legs.  “If I didn’t know better I’d think you were attempting to imply something there Julius. Thankfully, for the both of us and your poor sister who’d be hard pressed to find a suitable husband if I wasn’t a man of my word, I do know better.  Since you have a history of showing little care for your family's troubles and well being when pitted against your own it may come as a surprise to you to find not everyone is like that.  I stood by your family after Lady Resa died.  Even when countless other noble and royal family's distanced themselves.  It wasn’t that I never heard the rumors about Lord Jaxon attempting to follow his wife to her death.  I simply chose not to believe them or care about the stigma even a mere rumor of such an act brought with it.  A man such as yourself would, and practically did, cut ties with your family then and there.  But as I said, I am a man of my word.  After you abandoned your family to pursue your dreams I often visited and wrote Fyntch, offering my advice and ear to his troubles.  It may sound strange given the age and general differences in life, him unwed and me a widowed father of four, but your brother and I became friends after a time.  He was there for me during my own strife after Acier died giving us Noelle.”  He soured at the thought of his youngest child.  “Still, even without the bonds that life's trails forged between our families, Jaxon and I made a pledge to unite our houses in wedding his beloved and only daughter to my heir.  In all my life, I have never failed to keep a vow I’ve made.  As aberrant and difficult as your sister may be, I’m not about to let a girl make me start--”
A tinkling, like that of a small wind chime, sounded interrupting Nathyn.  The three men looked about.
“Oh!” Julius cried feeling a warmth in the breast pocket of his jerkin. “It’s me.  Sorry.”  He pulled out a communication crystal. “Magic Knights duties.”  He told Fyntch and Nathyn standing up. “Excuse me.”  Outside the room he answered the call with a short. “Give me a moment.”  With everyone on the first floor he ran up to the second taking two stairs at a time.  Satisfied this would afford him enough privacy he entered his father’s personal receiving room and walked on back to Lord Jaxon’s study.
“Go ahead.”
“Captain,” Jon’s voice sounded from the crystal, “are you alright?  You sound out of breath.”
“Fine.” Julius assured.  “Did Jax get in touch with you?  What did he have to say?  Have Bronn, Yami, and the others returned from their mission?  What did they find?”
“According to Captain Jax’s letter, they returned the same day you left for home.”  Jon informed.
“The same day?  Why are you only now contacting me now?”
“I only today received Captain Jax’s letter,” Jon said.
Julius sighed.  He would have to speak to both his fellow Captain and his Vice Captain about communicating better with one another.  Granted this wasn’t an urgent matter, at least he hoped the news wasn’t, but still with his interest and concern for Teris and Yami’s welfare he wanted to know any and all information as soon as possible.
He paced the room ordering.  “Summarize their report for me.”  He was quickly distracted by the changes to his fathers study that only Fyntch and his style for the ostentatious would make.  So, he thought with distaste, Fyntch had already taken over their father’s seat of power, so to speak, and made it his own.  Shaking his head he focused again on Jon’s voice asking him to repeat what he last said.
When the Vice Captain was finished Julius rubbed his forehead.  “So they managed to make it appear as if the Wild Fire had been another attempt by outlaws to instigate a war between the Clover and Spade kingdoms.”
“Despite Bronn’s adamant words of disbelief in his full report, even he couldn’t skew the evidence they found that pointed to such a conclusion.”  Jon affirmed.
“And Sir Jorah is content to believe that roving bands of criminals suddenly smartened up and began working together?”
“I cannot speak to the Wizard Kings private musing but that is what he has told the other Magic Knight Captains and Head Sentries.”
“Any Captains other then Jax and possibly Pyter find such a quick and seemingly seamless transition from in fighting gangs to formidable force curious?”  Julius asked.
“Curious? Sure.  Curious enough to question the Wizard King or Commander Greywright?  Not in the slightest.”
Julius sighed pushing his ire at the situation aside.  “How’s the squad? Everything well at base?”
“We’re managing without you, Captain.”
“You sure?”
“I think we’ll survive till you return on the fourth.”  Jon said his smile evident in his voice.
“I can return if you need me to.”  Julius offered.
“And leave your sister alone at the mercy of your brother and the Silva’s?”
Julius sighed again, knowing his Vice Captain was right.
“I know it’s not much of a vacation, Sir, but enjoy your time away. You take so little of it.”

Yami faced Jax in the Captains office and waited for the older man to speak.  As he stood before the Captains desk he wondered if he should take Pilfer out for a run again tonight.  While the ride and hunt only partially succeed in clearing his mind of Teris it had exhausted him enough to the point that after returning to base, he fell into his bed and slept.
“Bronn told me what happened with Iban Halvor and you.”  Jax finally said.
Yami watched and waited.
“Well?” Jax urged after a moment.
“I’m sorry, sir, I didn’t hear a question in there.”
Jax gave a throaty growl of irritation.  “Iban’s attack on you wasn’t in your report.  Why?”
Yami put his hands in his pockets.  “From my understanding, it wasn’t an attack.  Merely a misunderstanding on his part of where certain lines, that shouldn’t be crossed, were.”
“That’s a rather magnanimous view.  Especially since when Iban previously used his blood magic on your comrades Bronn or I heard about it straight away.  And Iban never demanded they break free of his hold or made them choke themselves to provide encouragement.”
Yami’s eyes narrowed.  He didn’t see Iban providing such details.  He hadn’t even told Olsen all that when he had confronted the Water Mage about his pet friend.  The bastard had been awake, Yami realized cursing Bronn for his inaction if that had, indeed, been the case. Yami shrugged.  “You were a young man once.  We play rough.”
“Iban is twenty-six, five years younger than me.  Far passed the age for such careless rough housing.”
“Are we speaking about the same man?” Yami asked.  “He might be twenty-six but his sense of right and wrong or when to stop is that of a child.”
“So you have no problem with him using his magic on you to make you choke yourself while demanding you break his hold on you?”
“I made it clear that is wasn’t something I found fun and wouldn't enjoy doing again.”  Yami told.  “And so far he has respected that.  As long as he continues to do so.  No.  I don’t have a problem with him.”
“Very well.”  Jax dismissed.
He watched Yami turn and exit the office.  When Bronn had told him that Yami had broken free for Iban’s hold he hadn’t believed it, certain his Vice Captain had seen wrong in the caves darkness.  But now that Yami had confirmed he had Jax was amazed.  Granted the will to live and thinking you would be forced to kill yourself if you didn’t succeed were great motivators, but Jax had seen Iban control Magic Knight Captains with his magic and barely break a sweat.  It wasn’t just Yami’s magical power that made the young man formidable.  It was his physical might and strength of will.  And the boy had only begun to stretch and grow.  Jax found the boys possibilities both exciting and fearsome.

The music began again, Nozel and Teris bumping into one another.
“Sorry.” Teris apologized again for stepping on his foot.
It had gotten to the point where Nozel was seriously considering cloaking his toes in mana.  It wasn’t that Teris weighed too much, but that her steps were far from light.  If they hadn’t made peace last night he would have thought she was purposely trying to flatten his toes with her heavy tread.
“You’re not trying to kill a bug.”  Nozel said, once again lifting her head up with a finger beneath her chin.  “Looking at your feet won’t help.”
“I’m not looking at my feet.”  Teris said.  “I’m trying to figure out where yours are going so I can follow.”  It was well past lunch and they had been at it since shortly after breakfast.
“That is what the hold is for.”  Nozel told pressing her lower back with one hand and tapping his fingers on the hand he held, grateful Nebra and Solid were long gone.  Nebra had been full of criticism and nothing else making Teris stiff, and if possible worse then she already was at following his lead.  After their departure, Teris had relaxed considerably making instructing her that much easier.  “My feet may move me but it’s my arms that will tell you where we’re headed.”
Teris stepped away frustrated.  “I’m never going to get this.  I’ll fail miserably and my knuckles will pay the price.”
Nozel puzzled at her last words a bit before stepping to her and turning her to face him.  “You will get this.”  He assured.
“At least one of us can still fake such certainty.”  She laughed humorlessly.
“There’s nothing for me to fake.  You forget how well I know you.”
“And what’s that got to do with my succeeding at this?  Other then the fact that you should know better then to have any faith in my success.”
“Because, I’ve never known you to fail at something you put your mind to,” he said.  He was loathed to lower his arms and release her but forced himself to do so when he felt her muscles begin to tense ever so slightly.  Teris wasn’t so unlike a nervous animal you tried to put at ease as you tried to coax it out of it’s den and accept your ministering hand.  Push too hard.  Touch her at the wrong time, in the wrong way, or for too long and you were back to square one.
“Thanks.” She said feeling self conscious.
“You’re putting too much pressure on yourself is all,” Nozel said.  “Leave us.”  He ordered over his shoulder at the violinist.
“Wait. What.  Nozel.  We need him.”
“No we don’t.”  Nozel said stopping her from following the musician.
“Uh, we kinda do—and now he’s gone.”  Teris said letting an arm fall as the ballroom door closed.
“Trust me.”  Nozel said looking at her.
“Trust isn’t easy for me.”  Teris confessed.
“But we’re friends.”  Nozel reminded.  “You should trust your friends.”
“I knew I would rue the day I admitted that to you.  I just never thought that day would come so soon.”
“Turn around.”  Nozel ordered giving a small smile.
“Don’t tell me what to do.”  Teris played.
Nozel grasped her hand and spun her around in a somewhat dance move. “Right now I am your instructor and can tell you to do as I please.”  It was his turn to tense as the desire and implications of his words struck him.
“Very well.”  She laughed.  “But I must warn you.  I can sometimes be an unruly and awful student.”
He forced a smile trying to shake the battling emotions within him. “Just relax, and trust me to lead you where you need to go.”  He said taking her into his arms in a dance hold.
“Do you think I can look even a quarter as fine as Nebra?”  Teris asked seriously.  She forced a teasing smile and continued.  “Or are you not that great an instructor.”
Nozel stared into her eyes and confessed.  “Even when you think you’re at your worst, you out shine every lady there is.”
Teris pulled away and shook her head.  “Don’t.”
“Don’t what?”  Nozel asked feeling the blood drain from his face in fear.
“Don’t flirt.  There’s no reason to.  Even the musician is gone.  Don’t do something neither of us enjoy because your family expects it when they aren’t even present to benefit.”
“I wasn’t flirting.”
“Don’t lie to me, Nozel.  I’m not stupid.”
You certainly are if you think I only do it because it’s expect, Nozel thought.  “Sorry.”
“For flirting or lying?”  She asked.
Nozel closed his eyes pressing his teeth together as he checked his temper. “For both.”  He said opening them.  “It’s a habit I have trouble turning off.”
Teris tilted her head.
“How else am I to convince my father?  He’s a hard man to fool and keeps a keen eye on me.”
Teris’ expression turned sympathetic.  “I’m sorry.”
Nozel shook his head.  “I don’t want to focus on it.”  He looked at her and continued.  “Not when we got our work cut out making it appear as if you’re dancing and not marching through the mud.”
“That’s just cruel.”
“You want cruel?  Step on my toes one more time and I’ll show you cruel.”
It was nearing time to get ready for dinner when Nozel announced.  “It will suffice.”
“That’s all?”  Teris expressed.  “We spent all day at this and my efforts will suffice?”
He gave her the cool gaze the Silva’s were known for.  “If you wanted your ego petted you should have said so sooner.”  It felt wrong to disparage her so, even if it was in jest, but she seemed to enjoy it.  If all it took for her to relax around him was some good old fashioned razing he should have done it years ago.  Who knows where they would be in their relationship if he had.
“Thank you,” Teris said.
“For not petting your ego or--”
“For taking the time to teach me.”  She told him.  “I still don’t like following but I think I can manage for a dance of two.”
“Just remember to keep your feet light.  A gentleman can gracefully ignore a toe or foot being stepping on, so long as his toe is not flattened or bones crushed.”
Teris couldn’t help but grimace at that as she promised.  “I’ll try.”
“You never told me why the sudden interest.”  Nozel said casually as they made their way to the doors.
“Yes I did.  For my knuckles.”
“You may have mentioned your knuckles in passing.  A rather confusing statement I might add, but didn’t say how they figured into your wanting to learn how to dance.”
“It’s probably best if I don’t,” Teris said.  “Let’s just say.  In the hopes of never seeing someone again I decided to try to prove to my brother that I can and will make an effort.”
“I hope this someone isn’t me,” Nozel said.  “You’ll be bitterly disappointed when next we have to work together on a mission.”
“It’s not you.”  Teris smiled purposefully bumping him with a shoulder. “You’re not half bad.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re certainly not as bad as Mistress.”
“I don’t know who this Mistress is but I’ll take the praise,” he said.
“You shouldn’t.  It’s not very high praise.  Anyone would be a preference to her.”
“Are you going back to the library tonight?”  Nozel questioned.
Teris stopped the change in subject taking her aback a moment.  “Why?” She asked cautiously.
“If I find I have trouble sleeping again I thought I would assist you.” Nozel said trying to sound nonchalant.
“You don’t have to,” Teris said.  “While I appreciate your help, more then I can say, you don’t have to.”
“What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t help you finish looking? What if something’s there and we just haven’t come across it yet?”
“Alright.” Teris allowed.  “But only if you can’t sleep.”
“Of course,” Nozel nodded.  “I wouldn’t keep myself up just to help you.”
23.6
Teris entered the library to find Nozel had already searched half a shelf's worth of books.  “No luck.”  He told her frustrated.
“What are you doing here?”
“I couldn’t sleep.”  He said turning a page.
“Did you even try?”
He stopped and looked up at her blinking.  “What do you think?  I got into my night clothes and slipped on a robe to make it appear as if I had made an attempt should you ask.”
Feeling silly Teris came around beside him.  “Sorry.  I just don’t want to be a burden.”
Nozel released the breath he had been holding grateful his sarcastic tone had convinced her his truthful words were a jest.  Looking at her sideways he muttered.  “You are not a burden.”
“No?”
“There should be no doubt in your mind that you will never be a burden to me.”  He told turning to her.
“Nozel.” Teris shook her head her expression becoming distant and impatient.
Feel him loosing her again he quickly asked, “If Fuegoleon were here instead of me would you worry he felt you were a burden?”
“No,” she said.  “And if he did I’d kick his butt.”
“Then why question if I do?”
“Cause he’s family.”  Teris answered.  “Distant family but family. Besides, we’ve known each other all our lives.  Grew up together.”
“We’ve known each other for all of our lives.  And practically grew up together.”
“It’s not the same,” Teris said.
“Why? Because of our families plans for our future?  Forget about that. You say it’s never going to happen so it should be easy for you to do so.  I’m tired of fighting you, Teris.  I’m tired of trying to have to prove to you time and again that I am indeed your friend. Can you just forget about the rest and accept me as whatever you want me?  If that is, as you said last night, a friend then let’s be friends in truth.  If it is not.  Tell me.  All I ask is that you stop jerking me from friend to enemy to acquaintance or anywhere else.  It’s tiring.  And I don’t like it.”
Teris stared.  She had never seen Nozel angry at her.  Annoyed.  Yes. Displeased.  Certainly.  A whole host of emotions directed at her had crossed his face and echoed in his tone over the years.  But not once had there been anger.
“I’m sorry, Nozel.”  Teris whispered, her mouth feeling dry.  Fuegoleon, Julius, and Mereoleona had been right.  She was too hard on him.  And now, in his moment of anger she found herself afraid to loose his friendship.  “I’ll try to do better.  It’s just that--”  She shook her head firmly.  “No.  I won’t make excuses.  I’m sorry. I’ll do better.  I promise.”
Nozel swallowed, shocked.  Before she had spoken, in that moment of silence, he had been near breaking and was about to apologize to her for his outburst.  He had never been so glad for not doing something before in his life.
Clearing his throat Nozel gave a firm nod.  “That is all I ask.  Thank you.”

I hope you all liked the second chapter. I’m planning on updating at least once a week but since school is starting again on Thursday I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep that promise, but we will see. I’ll try my best!
Chapter Summary: Luca has a mission and meets some interesting people.

Chapter 2: First Encounter
Luca is running towards the castle gates, excited about the new mission.
She has been helping the other magic knight squads ever since she started living with her brother. Lately she has also explored more of the kingdom than ever before. She always used to be adventurous like that, but now without her parents breathing down her neck she has way more freedom.
Arriving at the gate she sees Marx already standing there with her bow and arrows. “Didn’t you forget something?”, he asks.
“Thanks, Marx.”, she says gratefully, “I must be so excited to finally meet the Black Bulls that I forgot them.”
“This is your first encounter with them, right?”
She nods.
“Well then have fun and make sure you come back in one piece. Can’t leave me alone with this idiot that calls himself Wizard King.” Marx smiles.
Luca laughs, “I’ll be back as soon as possible, I promise! Don’t let Julius mess with you too much while I’m gone!”.
With that she takes her stuff from him, gets her broom and flies off in the direction of the dungeon.
She is excited to see who exactly she is going to be working with. After all, Julius hasn’t told her anything but that she is bound to meet some interesting people.
After a quite long flight the young girl lands on a hill near the dungeon’s entrance. She looks around and spots three figures in Black Bull robes walking towards her.
“Hi, you must be the mage that’s supposed to accompany us. I’m Luck and these two are Asta and Noelle. Will you fight me? I sense strong mana coming from you.” A blonde boy says.
A bit taken aback by the sudden question she answers, “My name is Luca. Maybe we can have a sparring match after this mission but clearing the dungeon should be our top priority. It’s nice to meet you all though!”
“Yes of course. Just ignore this freak.” Noelle says.
Together they make their way towards the dungeon's entrance. Luck is leading the way and Luca is walking right behind the two younger Black Bulls.
“Hey Noelle, say, you’re a Silva, aren’t you? How comes you’re a member of the Black Bulls and not Silva Eagles?”, she asks.
“How did you know Noelle is a Silva!” Asta exclaims, surprised.
“Well the silver colored hair in addition to the strong magic she radiates it isn’t difficult to count one and one together. On top of that the Silva family is pretty popular in the kingdom after all.”, Luca explains.
“Other than you I’m royalty, Asta! We are actually known around the kingdom. And also other than you some people are actually educated enough to recognize royalty.”, Noelle says, “But to answer your question Luca, my brother didn’t want me in his squad. Says I’m a disgrace since… since I can’t control my magic.”, the normally confident girl answers anxiously but truthfully.
“Then they are stupid.”,Luca smiles at her, “I think your magic power is just too great for your body to handle right now and with a bit of proper training you will turn into one of the strongest mages this kingdom has ever seen.”
Noelle starts blushing but smiles back at Luca, “Thank you.”, she replies quietly.
Soon after they arrive at the dungeon. They enter the dark halls. Luck is still leading the way, Asta not far behind them. Noelle is right behind Luca. Her soft hand brushing against the other girl every now and then.
“Are you scared?”, Luca asks.
“Of course not!”, Noelles voice is shaking a bit.
“You know it’s okay to be scared. I’m a bit scared myself, though, even more I’m excited to see what we will find.”
Suddenly there is a light coming from behind one of the bricks and Luck pushes it which causes the wall to crumble.
Now they’re standing in a huge room that gives off an insanely strong feeling of mana.
Luca’s eyes widen “I have never felt something like this before!”.
“Me neither.”, answer Noelle and Luck at the same time.
“Really? I don’t feel anything at all.”
“That’s probably because you don’t have any magic, Bakasta!” Noelle exclaims.
‘He has no magic? So he must be that anti-magic mage everyone is talking about.’ Luca thinks to herself before she says out loud while Asta is fussing over his non-existing magic, “We should be careful this room is probably full of dangerous traps!”
Right in that moment Asta accidentally activated one and slashed it shortly after with his anti-magic sword. Luck started laughing and activated another one right after, causing Asta to slash that one as well.
‘What did I just say?’ She lets out an annoyed groan, though she couldn’t keep herself from being amazed by Asta’s abilities.
All of a sudden Luca could feel a strong wave of mana but before she can react Luck is already sprinting towards one of the many exits.
“Go and explore the dungeon without me, something important just came up!”, he says.
‘So he felt it, too. A strong opponent entered the dungeon. Probably a Diamond Kingdom mage.’, Luca thought.
“We should go and search the treasure room. He will be fine without us.”, she says.
She closes her eyes and concentrates on the mana flow inside the dungeon as suddenly a loud noise startles her. She turns around to see Asta and Noelle bothe trapped by a huge magical plant. Probably another of the many traps.
Luca immediately opens her Grimiore, the familiar feeling of her mana is floating through her body, comforting her as she casts one of her spells.
“Moonlight Waves of Hope!”
Light blue strings appear, cutting the two Black Bulls free. She readies herself to destroy the plant but before she can even think about her next move a strong wind appears that destroys the trap.
She turns around to see three mages in Golden Dawn robes standing in the entrance, one of which has his Grimiore out, it’s a four leaf.
“Now I’ve repaid my debt, Asta.”
‘Oh, this is going to be interesting…’

snow magic.
fairy tail au where everyone is part of a guild and everyone has magic. noelle prefers to use her normal skills in the infirmary rather than use her snow magic.
when noelle was first introduced to the guild as a young child, no one had seen her for her. she was either the creation of one of the ten wizard saints, or she was the sub-par ‘cousin’ of the bjorgmans and the arendelles. when she wasn’t being asked what it was like to be not human, created artificially, she was being asked what it was like to know royalty.
it really was inevitable that she would hide inside her shell and not come out for years to come.
she would spend her time in the guild hall, hiding behind her more social family members, and was usually found in the corner of the infirmary, learning how to heal rather than use offensive magic. she became a permanent fixture there, to the point where she would arrive at the guild and make a beeline straight for the small room down the right corridor, at the very end.
people were used to seeing her there, too. if she wasn’t in the infirmary, people would seek her out in the guild’s main hall. long before she could properly go on a mission, she’d somehow made a name for herself by being the guild’s little nurse. eirella greene and crimson hood would be in need of first-aid at least once a week, and it wasn’t difficult to tell when they did. there would be shouts from the main hall at least ten minutes before they arrived, leaving her to be prepared.
they weren’t the only ones, of course. frederick stahlbaum would often come in with scratches and bruises despite being younger than her, and therefore not allowed to receive missions. talon porter also had a habit of dropping by a couple of times a month, but as he grew older and started mastering his powers all the more, his visits became less frequent. team miraculous would often request her assistance, often enough that all viviette bourgeois needed to do was poke her head around the door with an exasperated expression for noelle to understand what she needed.
she diligently helped out each and every person who crossed her path.
noelle was thirteen when she went on her first mission. she hadn’t gone alone, of course not. she’d gone with the rest of her family ( aside from lukas, who’d distanced himself from most of them long ago, and lucia, who was too young and too ill to go on a mission ), though it had only been a simple job, something a bunch of teenagers could handle. all they had to do was take out some local bandits that had been terrorising some of the more upscale stores in the city.
everything had been going fine until one of the bandits revealed he wasn’t only a mage, but he also used fire magic.
for a team whose members used a majority of snow and ice based magic, this wasn’t good. the others would be able to overpower him no problem, she had faith in robbie and lacey, but she was different. she may have been blessed with snow powers after she was born ( created ), but her snow was limited and tied to her body. if this bandit melted her snow, he would be melting her.
the others told her to run, but she didn’t want to leave them, she couldn’t, so she’d decided on a compromise. she hid herself nearby and climbed the nearest fire escape to the top of one of the taller buildings. everyone else was fighting down below -- no one had seen her yet.
taking a deep breath, her bright white seal lit up the concrete roof. it alerted the nearest enemy, but it was too late for him to alert his comrades as her white fury spell blew them away. it was the most magic she’d ever used, and while she wasn’t below average by any means, their futile retaliation with their fire spells made her feel light-headed and weak, and she’d found herself falling towards the stone street.
she didn’t stay awake long enough to see who caught her.
after that disaster, noelle had been too embarrassed to go on any missions that might require combat. she would choose more basic jobs, ones that didn’t really require any magic, and she vastly preferred the colder climates, too. still, she made sure to practice her magic on a regular basis, just in case, though she never did so around anyone else.
she was seventeen when she’d decided to do so behind the very back of the guilt building, attempting to try and master a new spell on the practice dummies she’d found in the storehouse, but it wasn’t working so well. sure, the spell hit, but it wasn’t powerful enough.
she re-read the spell. “okay, so i just cast it like this? am i doing it right?” she muttered to herself, turning the page to see if there was anymore information, but there was nothing.
“yeah, sure, if you want to give yourself an early death,” came a voice from behind her, and noelle stiffened. “you’ve got the spell okay, but don’t you know anything about strategy?”
slowly, noelle turned around, facing the girl ( who had very pretty hair, she noticed ) and said softly, “oh... no, i don’t. i’m not very good with that kind of thing...”
“you’re not good because you haven’t had me to teach you,” the girl said, and noelle was a little gobsmacked by her confidence.
it was a couple of months and one guild trip to noelle’s hometown later that veronika approached her in one of the guild’s hallways with a necklace in her hand and an anxious expression on her face.
the s class trials shouldn’t have come to this.
she didn’t know what the guild master was thinking, holding the trials on the isle lands. what did they and the magic council think would happen by sending them to the place the most notorious criminals lived? did they think the criminals would embrace their children with open arms? did they think they would accept those from the mainland with open arms? as if.
the riot had broken out and now it was over, as was the trial, and part of noelle wondered if they’d planned it. she stared at her hands as the chilly air brushed past her, but she barely felt it. those hands had taken a book to her girlfriend’s father, smacked him right in the head. it had been worth it, it had definitely been worth it, but her hands were supposed to heal.
later, veronika would tell her she was a hero, but she wouldn’t believe her.
three months came and went and noelle would occasionally think of those villains who had escaped from the isle, but nothing had happened. not until october.
the first hint should have been elliot walking around with that doll in the middle of the guild hall. the second should have been everyone else who had a doll themselves, and it took her too long ( by her standards, anyway ) for her to piece together what this all meant, what she’d heard form ada when the tiny girl had first arrived at the guild months and months ago.
before she could do anything to help, elliot was gone, along with his girlfriend, and lucia disappeared not long after. a good portion of the guild had gone missing over a mere few days without a trace.
a year ago, noelle may have been hesitant to follow the rescuers into the tunnel that led to their friends, but she was stronger now. when her family and friends were in danger, she wasn’t going to just stop and let the ‘authorities’ handle it. this was a job for the guild, and she was going with the rest of them, dammit.
and so she followed the lot of them, lily and veronika by her side, for once prepared to use her magic rather than hide away from the fight.
the infirmary was packed after the other mother’s arrest, and noelle wasn’t able to rest. she was mostly fine, a few soft spots in her body here and there, but she was otherwise in mint condition ( she really shouldn’t refer to herself like that -- she was the one always complaining about being treated like an object ). no, her job was to help everyone else right now.
she still wasn’t confident in using her powers, especially since hers were so closely linked to her body, but she figured that, now that she was stronger, using them every so often wouldn’t be too bad, right?

“ Mr. Wizard King sir, are you listening?” A voice suddenly called out from across the room, pulling the Wizard King out of his thoughts.
Asta Silva, the current Wizard King, slowly turned around to face the young woman standing in the doorway. He smiled a bit sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck.
“ Sorry, I was lost in thought for a second,” Asta told the young man with a laugh. “ Could you say that again Esmée?”
“ I asked, will your daughters be participating in the Entrance Exams or will they just go straight into their squads of choice like most Nobles?” Esmée Francois, the daughter of Marx Francois, asked as she walked towards the middle of the room.
Just like her father was Julius’s assistant, Esmée was now Asta’s assistant. She had just recently stepped into her role as his former assistant, William Vangeance, had decided to officially retire from all Kingdom duties. She was very much like her father; she was strict, no nonsense, and kept Asta in line.
“ Hm, I’m not too sure. Right now Brielle’s the only one old enough to actually take the exam.” Asta muttered in thought, he and Noelle hadn’t had the chance to ask their girls about it yet, but maybe they should?
Brielle had just turned 15 in September, Mizuki had turned 13 in January, and Kaiyo would be 12 in August. As Asta thought about his daughters' ages it suddenly dawned on him just how much time had passed and how it seemed like they were growing up so quickly.
“ I guess tonight we’ll have to have a family meeting about it.” Asta said before he turned around to look at Esmée.
“ Well you’d better do it soon sir, the entrance exam is only a couple of weeks away.” Esmée told him as she crossed her arms, his eyes suddenly widened.
“ It’s in a couple of weeks?!” He shouted, causing the blue haired mage to cover her ears.
“ Yes sir, so might I suggest-?” She began but was cut off.
“ I’m so excited! I wonder if there’ll be any new magic types there, maybe there’ll be a new time mage or maybe someone from Hino that decided to come and try out!” Asta began to ramble excitedly as his eyes shone brightly like stars in the night, Esmée sighed and shook her head.
“ Sir…you do realize you won’t be able to go see the exam in person right?”
“ Huh? Why not? I’ve been going to the exam in disguise every year since I became Wizard King.” Asta said with a tilt of his head, suddenly Esmée glared at him.
The blue haired woman walked over to him, grabbed a stack of papers that were on a nearby table, and slammed them down onto Asta’s desk, causing the older man to jump.
“ Because you’ll be too busy doing all this backlogged paperwork, you see Lord Vangeance may’ve let you get away with a lot of things, but I’m not like him. You’ll do all the paperwork and other Wizard King duties that you’ve neglected over the past 3 years.” Esmée told him with a wicked grin on her face that made a chill go down Asta’s spine.
Now he understood why Noelle chose her to be his assistant over her brother Amrel.
——
After completing a month's worth of paperwork in just a single day, Asta was finally able to make his way to his living quarters. All Wizard Kings had a residence in the castle, and he was no exception. But the only difference was Asta’s residence was just a bit bigger than most of the previous Wizard Kings was, and that was because he moved his family in as well.
Asta slowly opened the door and looked around, he didn’t see any of his daughters around, nor did he see his wife. Maybe she was out on a mission? Or was she working somewhere in the Castle? He shrugged, oh well, at least he’d have a little bit of quiet time to take a nap.
“ There you are Bakasta.” He suddenly heard from behind him, Asta jumped at the sudden voice before he turned around and saw a familiar face staring back at him.
“ Don’t sneak up on me like that Noelle!” Asta shouted, and Noelle frowned a bit.
“ You didn’t sense me behind you with your Ki?” She asked curiously, and Asta shook his head.
“ No, I guess it’s because I’m so tired.” Asta said with a slightly tired laugh, Noelle nodded, she could only imagine just how tired he was. After all, the Wizard King had a lot more duties than Asta realized.
“ Papa, you’re home!” Kaiyo, Noelle and Asta’s youngest daughter, shouted gleefully as she ran out from behind her mother and jumped into her fathers arms.
“ Kaiyo! I’ve missed you!” Asta’s fatigue seemed to melt away the minute he saw his youngest, he instantly perked up and a bright smile appeared on his face. He picked her up and held her in his arms.
“ Did you have a good day?” He asked, and the young girl nodded. The three walked into their residence, and they all began to talk about their day. Noelle and Kaiyo had decided to go shopping in town for the day since Noelle would be gone for a few days on a mission, while Mizuki and Brielle had left earlier to do…something.
“ You don’t know where they went?” Asta asked, and Noelle shook her head.
“ Well, Brielle said something about going to the Black Bulls, while Mizuki said something about going downstairs. But after that, I don’t know where they went.” Noelle admitted, and as the words left her mouth the door to their residence opened and in walked Brielle and Mizuki.
Brielle had a few bandages on her arms and face, as well as some dust and dirt, her clothes were wrinkled and a bit disheveled. Meanwhile Mizuki looked exactly as she did before she left, except she had an annoyed look on her face.
“ We’re back!” Brielle announced excitedly, and Noelle instantly jumped up from where she was sitting.
“ Where have you been, and what the heck happened to you?!” Noelle shouted in concern as she ran over to her eldest daughter, Asta followed behind with Kaiyo in tow.
“ This idiot here went and got herself into some trouble with Hikari and the other Legacy Bulls!” Mizuki said with irritation lacing each word, Brielle turned to look at her sister.
“ I did not! Hikari, Aloys, Ezio, me, and the others went out into town to shop and hang out when these stuck up nobles decided to talk crap about everyone. So we just put them in their place and showed them that the Bulls aren’t a squad to take lightly!” Brielle said proudly as she smiled widely. “ It was sooo cool! One of those nobles tried to use their fire magic on me, so Herz and I used our Counter magic, and we showed him not to mess with us!”
“ That sounds so cool Brielle, you really showed him!” Asta said excitedly as his eyes shone brightly, but as soon as the father and daughter tried to gush more about what happened they suddenly felt someone grab their ears and tug on them.
When they looked they saw it was Noelle, and if looks could kill the two would be dead 10x over.
“ I think mom’s angry.” Kaiyo said softly as she, Mizuki, Herz, and Liebe all watched Noelle drag the two over to a pair of chairs and began to shout and scold them for how reckless they were acting.
——
After Brielle and Asta had gotten scolded by Noelle for nearly ten minutes the family eventually sat down to eat dinner. They talked and chatted a bit as they ate, it was a typical Silva family dinner. Except Noelle noticed that Asta was acting a little…odd. It was like he had something he wanted to say, but couldn’t find the words. She had only seen him like this a few times in the past, and usually it was when something important was on his mind.
“ Asta, is everything okay?” She asked softly as she set her silverware down, her husband looked at her as he was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts. Their daughters all stopped eating and looked at him as well, Asta suddenly rubbed the back of his head nervously.
“ Yeah everythings fine, things are just getting a little crazy with the entrance exam coming up.” Asta admitted sheepishly, and Noelle nodded.
“ I forgot that it was coming up, it’s in a couple of weeks right? I expect things will be pretty chaotic for all the squads.” Noelle said as took a sip of her water, and Asta nodded in agreement.
“ Yeah, it’ll be especially hectic the days after the exam.” Asta said, he suddenly looked at his daughters, trying to figure out how to subtly ask them what their thoughts were.
Noelle noticed the look on his face and how he was watching their daughters, and a soft smile appeared on her face.
“ What do you guys think about the exam? Are any of you planning to take the exam?” Noelle asked curiously. Asta gave his wife a thankful look before turning back to their daughters.
They watched as thoughtful looks crossed all three of their daughter’s faces, apparently they hadn’t thought about it much themselves. He smiled softly before he gently tapped his fingers on the table to get their attention.
“ It’s okay if you guys don’t know what you want to do yet, there’s no rush and you guys don’t need to feel pressured into making a decision right now. Sometimes we don’t figure out what we want to do or who we want to be until a lot later in life, and that’s okay! Just know that whatever decision you all make,” Asta reached over to grab his wife’s hand and held it gently in his. “ Your mom and I will be right behind you, supporting you 100%!”
“ Your fathers right,” Noelle began as she gently squeezed his hand. “ No matter what you guys decide to do, and no matter when you guys decide to do it, you’ll have our full support. As long as it’s nothing illegal anyway.” She added, half joking half seriously.
“ What if,” Mizuki started softly as she looked from the table to her parents. “ What if we don’t want to be Magic Knights, but something else…would that be alright?” She asked softly, Noelle and Asta looked at each other for a moment before nodding at her.
“ Of course that’s alright! Whatever you want to do, we’ll support you.” Asta said warmly as he smiled at her.
“ As long as it isn’t anything illegal.” Noelle reiterated, causing everyone to chuckle.
“ In that case…I want to be a Magic Knight Healer. I want to work here in the Castle with Owen treating Magic Knights!” Mizuki said quickly and with her closed tightly.
Noelle, Asta, Brielle, and Kaiyo looked at her before looking at each other. That had been quite unexpected, especially considering she had previously said she enjoyed going out on missions with her friends and occasionally fighting against them in mock battles. But, if her heart was pulling her in a different direction, then she should follow it.
“ I think that’s a great and wise choice Mizuki, we need more amazing healers here in the Castle, and you’re smart enough to compete with Owen himself if you wanted. Besides, now your father and I can see you whenever we want!” Noelle said cheerfully and Asta nodded in agreement.
“ Yeah, and you’re always good at patching me and Kaiyo up, so I know you’ll be a great healer Mizuki, and if I ever get hurt or injured I’ll only ever ask for you!” Brielle told her sister with a bright smile and a thumbs up, and Kaiyo nodded in agreement.
“ What about you Brielle? What do you want to do?” Asta asked his eldest daughter, she turned to look at him, her bright smile still in place.
“ I want to be a Magic Knight, to be more accurate, I want to be a Black Bull!” She announced cheerfully. “ I gave it a lot of thought, and I can’t imagine being in any other squad!”
“ You know Captain Yami won’t go easy on you just because you’re our daughter right? In fact, he may be harder on you because you’re our child.” Noelle pointed out, and her daughter nodded firmly.
“ I know that, and I’m fully prepared for it! I’ll work hard, I’ll never give up, and eventually I’ll surpass my limits just like you guys did!” Brielle shouted excitedly, and Asta smiled cheerfully.
“ Yeah that’s my girl!” Asta shouted cheerfully, causing the others at the table to shake their heads at the two’s loudness.
“ What about you Kaiyo? What do you want to be?” Noelle asked kindly, she watched as her youngests eyes danced around in thought.
She knew her youngest wasn’t very confident in herself or her abilities, so Noelle wasn’t quite sure if the girl knew what she wanted to be yet and she didn’t want to push her to be anything. It took Noelle a long time herself to decide what she wanted to be, and Kaiyo seemed to be the same way.
“ I…I think I want to be a Magic Knight too…but…” Kaiyo trailed off nervously. “ But I don’t think I can do it…my Magic’s still out of control, even though Uncle Nozel’s been helping me, so I don’t think I can be a Magic Knight…” she added sadly as she stared at the table.
“ My magic was out of control for a long time and I still became a Magic Knight,” Noelle told her kindly. “ and your Magic isn’t as out of control as it used to be, you’ve gotten stronger, and you have your wand to help you better control it if you need it. You can be a Magic Knight Kaiyo, even with little control of your magic, and we’ll support you.” Noelle repeated, and she knew that she sounded like a broken record. Constantly repeating that she and Asta would support their daughters, but she just wanted them to know that they cared and only wanted them to do what their hearts told them to do.
“ If…If I did become a Magic Knight…would it matter what squad I decided to be in?” Kaiyo asked, which mildly surprised Noelle and Asta. They kind of assumed she would want to be in the Black Bulls like Brielle, but for her to ask that question meant she had another squad in mind.
“ No it doesn’t matter! You can be in any squad you want, Kaiyo.” Asta told her with a gentle smile on his face, and the young girl finally looked up at her parents.
“ I…want to be in the Silver Eagles with Uncle Nozel…that way I can continue my training and I think I’ll be more comfortable there and…I don’t want to take the Magic Knights entrance exam, I’m scared I might hurt everyone there.” Kaiyo told them, and Asta and Noelle nodded.
“ I’ll talk to Nozel and see what he thinks, but I’m sure he’d be more than happy to have you in the Silver Eagles.” Noelle told her, and the young girl smiled a bit more before.
As the conversations turned to lighter topics and Herz and Liebe jumped in and began to tease the girls about how they would likely have a more difficult time than their parents since a lot was expected out of them, but the girls argued that they were up to the challenge and would do just as well as their parents!
Asta and Noelle watched them all in content, their girls were growing up and would all soon leave the nest to go to their squads. Of course they still had a few years with Kaiyo and Mizuki, but Brielle would possibly be leaving in a couple of weeks and even though the two were sad, they were also happy that she would get to stretch her wings and fly a bit.
Noelle suddenly rested her head on her husbands shoulder and smiled, Asta blushed a bit but discreetly moved to kiss the top of her head as they continued watching their small and rambunctious family.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you all have a good day 🥰~!

This was not how Charlotte thought today was going to go. She didn’t expect to be standing in front of the Black Bulls base with Yami and their daughter, Hikari, she had hoped it would just be a simple meeting with Julius and then she would go back to the Blue Rose Knight headquarters and be able to finish her paperwork, but instead she was hit by this curveball. She watched as Yami hesitated to walk into the hideout, which somewhat confused her since he was normally such a confident man.
“ Oh boy,” he sighed as he scratched the back of his head. “ This is going to be one pain in the ass.” He shook his head before he placed a hand on the door knob.
“ They’ll understand. Even if they have a hard time with it at first.” Hikari told him with a nod, she had to admit she was a little unsure herself, especially if she was in the year that she thought she was in. She looked at both her parents out of the corner of her eye; they weren’t together yet it seemed. She watched her father and mother, well, Charlotte and Yami since she didn’t think they would really feel comfortable about being called mom and dad at the moment.
The loud rambunctiousness of the Black Bulls instantly quieted once both Captains and Hikari walked in, Luck and Magna were fighting as usual, Vanessa was drinking as normal, and the others were eating while trying to dodge Magna and Luck’s battle. Yami looked over at the two.
“ Hey knock it off!” He said loudly, the two boys stopped instantly, all the Black Bull members frowned in confusion and came over to the three standing by the door.
“ Um, Captain Yami? Why is Captain Roselei here?” Asta asked in confusion, causing Hikari to smile slightly, as an adult he hadn’t changed at all since he was a kid. The others nodded.
“ Well, it’s kind of a long story.” Yami said with a sigh. Charlotte nodded in agreement.
“ Oh, did we get a new member? Is that why the Wizard King sent for you?” Vanessa asked as she spotted Hikari, instantly Finral’s eyes lit up in the way they usually did when he saw a pretty girl.
“ Hello! My name’s Finral, and might I ask what your name is beautiful?” Finral asked as he came over to Hikari, who only blinked in confusion, this Finral was definitely not the same one she grew up with! Yami instantly turned and grabbed the top of Finral’s head tightly, he glared at the young man.
“ Finral, do me a favor? Stay away from my daughter!” He growled out before moving Finral back toward the group once the spatial mage had nodded in agreement. Charlotte couldn’t suppress the small smile that slid across her face; he only knew Hikari for a couple of hours, and yet he was already protective of her. It was adorable and was added to the long list of things she loved about this man.
‘Wait, no, how can you even think of that four letter word right now Charlotte?!’ Her brain screamed at her, she shook her head to clear it and felt her cheeks burn slightly. She sighed as the young Spatial mage instantly backed up and sat with the others.
“ Yes sir Captain Yami!” He replied in a shaky voice. Yami sighed as he pulled out a cigarette and placed it in his mouth. Hikari cleared her throat and looked at him.
“ Didn’t I already tell you those are bad for you?” She asked with a glare similar to Charlotte’s, Yami glared back, neither he nor Hikari were backing down.
“ That’s enough you two.” Charlotte scolded as she stood between them, Yami sighed for the third time that evening but he pulled the cigarette out of his mouth, leaving Hikari smiling triumphantly.
“ Wait...Captain Yami? Did you say ‘daughter?’” Asta asked suddenly, picking up on the detail everyone seemed to miss in the Captain's statement to Finral. Yami looked away as the Black Bulls looked from him to Hikari and back again.
“ WHAT!!!!” They all shouted in unison before suddenly surrounding the girl and asked a million questions, some were asking who her mother was, some asking her age, and a bunch of other questions she couldn’t quite catch.
“ Alright that’s enough you guys.” Hikari said in a commanding tone, similar to Yami’s, all the Black Bulls behaved instantly and stopped their questioning. Hikari laughed softly, they were even scared of her in this year, just like they were at home. She must be more like her father than she imagined.
“ Now, one question at a time. First, yes I really am his daughter. Second, I’m from the future not a ‘one night stand’ nor a ‘secret love child’. Third, I’m 19 years old.” Hikari continued down the list until she came to the last question. “ As for my mother, well…” she trailed off while looking at Charlotte, who blushed instantly.
“ WHAT!!!” They all shouted again, causing the Captains and Hikari’s ears to ring. Why were they always so loud?
“ But Captain isn’t she…?” Finral trailed off, trying to find the right words so he didn’t make the Captain angry.
“ Out of your league?” Zora finished, causing everyone to blink at him. Yami just rolled his eyes, he wouldn’t say it out loud, but Zora was right; Charlotte was out of his league, she deserved someone better than him. She deserved someone of high status such as herself, but again, he would never admit this.
“ Listen brats, right now we’re all pretty tired and are trying to process all of this. How about you guys go get some sleep, while the Prickly Princess and I talk to our kid.” He ordered, the Black Bulls nodded before Noelle suddenly paused.
“ Sir, may we ask more questions tomorrow? If we have any that is.” Yami shrugged and pointed a thumb toward Hikari.
“ That’s up to her.” He said, she watched as all the Black Bulls had slight hope in their eyes. She couldn’t help but laugh. Nope, they hadn’t changed at all.
“ Of course, although, there may be some things I can’t tell you.” She told them in a light hearted but serious tone, the members all nodded before heading to their respective rooms.
Yami walked over to the couch and sat down with a tired sigh, that's all he seemed to be doing right now was sighing. Charlotte and Hikari sat down as well and all was silent, none of them knew who should start the conversation and what questions to ask. Charlotte shifted uncomfortably in her seat, Hikari did as well. Yami watched the two, as far as personality went, Hikari seemed to be very much like him, but look wise she was identical to Charlotte but with dark hair. She also had similar mannerisms to the Prickly Queen as well, the way she tapped her foot on the ground in slight nervousness, the way she seemed to analyze her surroundings. There was no mistaking it; she was their child for sure.
“ So why are you here?” Charlotte finally asked, Yami was curious as well but wasn’t sure if he was allowed to ask that question. Hikari shrugged as she sat back in the chair and crossed her arms.
“ I’m not too sure myself to be honest,” She looked away and rubbed the back of her neck, just like Yami has done many times before. “ all I know is my parents told me I had to walk through the time gate and not to ask questions.” She told them as she looked away in thought, the memory probably flashing through her mind.
“ There must be a reason.” Yami said as he crossed his arms as well, Hikari nodded in agreement.
“ I’m sure there is, but they didn’t think to tell me, especially since they practically rushed me out the door. Whatever it was, it must have worried them.” Hikari said softly, the two Captains looked at each other. It was very rare the two of them seriously worried about anything, the last time the two had been worried was during the Dark Triad and the invasion of the Spade Kingdom.
“ Did you come alone?” Yami asked after a minute of silence, he wanted to change the subject just a bit, especially since he knew Hikari couldn’t tell them much about why she was sent here. Her Qi told him everything he needed to know, well, mostly anyway.
“ Yeah, I was supposed to come with my little sister Hana. But the portal pulled me in before I could grab her, I’m not sure if she walked through it afterwards or not.” Hikari said, her face full of worry, she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if Hana had come through the portal and was now lost or injured. Just the thought of it upset her and made her want to go looking for her, but she didn’t even know if Hana had walked through the portal at all!
“ You have siblings?” Charlotte asked softly, she had to admit, it was surprising to think she even had one child with Yami, but now knowing she had two with him? That was beyond shocking, this had to be a dream! It had too!
“ Yes. But I won’t tell you how many, because y’know, spoilers and stuff.” She said with a mischievous wink, the kind when someone knew something you didn’t and would tease you about. Charlotte hmphed and sat back, almost as though she were pouting.
“ Oh also, you can’t ask me how or when or even if you two get together. Because of spoilers and the possibility of it affecting my timeline negatively.” Hikari added. Yami frowned.
“ How do you know about all of this?” He asked curiously.
“ Well, this was all the information I was told when I was being dragged to the portal. You of course were the one who told me, as for who told you, well you’d be surprised.” She laughed.
“ Let me guess, ‘spoilers’?” Yami asked in irritation, when the girl nodded he shook his head. He suddenly turned and looked out the window, the sun was going down.
“ I should be heading back, tomorrow we’re supposed to move into our new living quarters. I need to pack and prepare my squad.” Charlotte said as she stood and walked to the door. “ Will you be alright here Hikari?”
“ Of course! I already know where my room is by the way, I think I’ll go on ahead and head that way myself. I didn’t realize how tired I was until now.” Hikari announced standing up and heading towards the girls wing of the hide out. Yami stood and walked over to Charlotte, waiting until he knew Hikari was out of earshot.
“ Do you think she’s lying?” Charlotte asked in a hushed tone, Yami shook his head.
“ No. She’s telling the truth. But I do wonder, why would we send our kid through a portal without explanation?” He muttered, Charlotte looked in thought for a moment.
“ Maybe we didn’t have time?” She suggested, Yami nodded in agreement.
“ That’s probably the answer, but it leads to another question,” he looked at the blonde seriously. “ what was so dangerous that it made us send our own daughter away?”
—-
Hikari looked around the empty room, slight sadness in her heart; it was pretty empty save for a bed and desk. All the things she had added to it over the years were no longer there. But that was mostly because she didn’t exist yet, maybe she never would after all of this. She closed the door softly behind her and walked toward the bed and laid on it. Why didn’t her parents tell her what was going on? Why send only her through the portal? In fact, why send her to this year of all years? She growled in frustration. Why was the only question running through her head.
“ I need to get some sleep, otherwise I’ll be too tired to answer their questions.” She muttered to herself as she rolled onto her side and closed her eyes tightly, she silently hoped everyone would be ok, that they’d all be safe until she returned. As she slowly drifted off to sleep a bunch of faceless people flooded her mind, and a smile appeared on her face.
Three young girls, two with blonde hair and one with silver. A young girl with dark blue hair and brown eyes, her brother with dark brown hair and blue eyes and a stoic look on his face. Another young man with a small easy going smirk with pink hair and purple eyes. A young girl, her best friend, with pink hair and mint green eyes looked at her sternly, but did manage to smile. The last one, a young man with white hair and piercing blue eyes that held nothing but warmth in them, a soft smile on his lips as he looked at her. Her smile only widened.
Her friends, they would all be ok. She knew it.

Ah i hope you guys liked it! I’m sorry again it isn’t very good 😅. But anyway, I hope you all enjoyed it! Thanks for reading and i hope you all have a good day~!

Black Clover 238 reaction and spoilers
I saw some preview images a few days ago and so let’s all hop aboard the pain train together.
Current threat level: Slyph isn’t flirting, she’s giving tactical orders while taking a protective position in front of Yuno
It’s hard to discern if Vangeance is dead from being strung up or just incapacitated. However, I’m pretty sure Klaus and Letoile are going to die. The magic bones have pierced probably Letoile’s lungs and Klaus’ stomach and intestines while their squad’s healers are either absent or too injured/dying/dead to help. If reinforcements arrive and they don’t die, they’re likely to end up like All Might and have greatly reduced organ function, which I’m not sure this medieval themed world can handle well enough to give them full lives.
Zenon has what looks like horns from two different devils and one wing, which suggests that he’s possibly borrowed multiple devils’ powers, which makes me curious how the Spade mages obtained such power. Did they eat it? Was portions of a devil’s carcass placed into their bodies? It seems like a different kind of possession from Asta’s symbiotic relationship with his devil.
I’m really looking forward to listening to how Shimazaki acts this out in the anime while also not sure I’m looking forward to watching some of these plot points in motion when we get there.
I think it’s a bit weird that the person who comes to the Golden Dawn’s headquarters first is Ralph, but his reaction to the whole thing answers a few of the questions I have rolling around in my head here.
Some post- 238 thoughts:
The flow of events of the last few chapters raise a lot of suspicion, and it makes me curious how much the Dark Triad knows. It wouldn’t surprise me if Dante is Yuno’s uncle given that historically those creating these types of successful coups are adjacent to the throne. If this is true, it might also explain why Ralph has survived successfully for the last almost seventeen years since Ralph can lead the Dark Triad to the heir (Yuno) that could possibly undo all the power they’ve gained. It wouldn’t surprise me if Ralph was able to get to Clover Kingdom the same day the Spade mages attack the Golden Dawn so the Spade mages could either ferret out the prince indirectly. It seems like Zenon was unaware someone on Yuno’s level would be with the Golden Dawn as well, which makes me think while the Dark Triad might be aware that the prince was taken to Clover Kingdom, they don’t know he’s Yuno. I was also suspicious of Ralph’s intent given the timing of all of this, but I think Ralph is genuine given his reaction to arriving at the destroyed base. I just am having trouble believing that Ralph finally able to get to Yuno just before the raid is coincidental.
Another thing I’m curious about is how did the Spade mages get to the Golden Dawn base? Yuno seemed to instinctively sense something was off when he left Hage, so why haven’t other Magic Knights also sensed a problem? Although maybe being a four leaf allows Yuno heightened mana awareness or perhaps it was just logic driving him more than the ability to sense demonic mana. It’s also possible considering almost all of the Golden Dawn became possessed by elves and played key direct roles during the possession that the Clover Kingdom let this happen. Damnatio was willing to kill Asta as a gesture but was unable to do so, which to some might have made it look as though the devils’ influence was never properly dealt with. However, it does seem a bit extreme to allow an entire Magic Knight squad to be nearly wiped out, although it does ensure that something like the elf possession cannot happen again, which might be the real goal since Damnatio does have the kingdom’s best interests in mind. That said, if someone or more than one someone did kind of allow Spade to do this, did they know what Spade was after? Or do they not care and wanted to be able to have a more direct war with Spade rather than do what the Clover and Heart joint mission group is doing? I mean on one hand it seems stupid because they would need the Golden Dawn caliber of mages to go after Spade, but on the other hand I think we can’t really rule out that maybe this was allowed to happen.
Now, for the potential deaths. I feel dueling extremes over them. Like on one hand, no not my babies. I mean I love these characters. I have strong affinity towards them. Vangeance is relatable with his back story and poor choices, Yuno reminds me of my brother, Klaus is a gift, etc…etc…Also what about Langris? Where is he in all this? What if he wasn’t at the base and he’s going to get blamed for this? It’s a lot to take in. On another hand, if Vangeance, Kalus, Letoile, etc…etc.. die, then that’s something we don’t seem to see in shounen that often, and if Yuno dies, then that’s just a straight up game changer for Jump. We’ve not really seen a Jump series do that, just kill off the main rival/brother/etc…figure and then not bring them back from the dead. I know some people have been arguing that because it comes immediately with the prince reveal that to kill Yuno would be bad writing, but I’m not sure it technically would be. The prince reveal gets Yuno out of the headquarters as the raid begins, it shows that Spade has a hope but they don’t have a face for that hope, it also might hint at there being bigger problems in Clover Kingdom than just Spade invading one of their squad’s bases. It’d all come down to how Yuno’s death could serve the narrative and also serve Asta’s character journey. I know I’ve been wondering since part two started if part of where the story is heading is not necessarily giving up but learning to adjust and keep going. I mean Asta’s never give up crush is on a nun so we know logically he’s going to have to give up on that and change focus but still likely achieve a romance with another character. Maybe Yuno dying is going to cause Asta to readjust and refocus his goals. We know Asta is politically minded and is definitely focused on becoming Wizard King, but I think a lot of that goal was wrapped up in Yuno still being there, still experiencing it, and with Yuno gone, some of that dream will have to change. I think also an indication of this was when Asta said point blank that he rejected the judicial system during his trial. Maybe to gain power like a Wizard King, Asta will have to reject a lot of that dream and mold it into something new but similar.
Another factor here is that Black Clover has a tendency to set us up for tropes and then bend them. For example, Julius and Orsi both almost died but managed not to, though typically in these types of stories the mentor and the father die. We’ve also got Noelle the princess whose power is directly linked to her desire to protect rather than be protected. We’ve got Charmy the wolf in sheep’s clothing who just wants to eat, eat, eat rather than be some nefarious mustache twirling bad guy. So I definitely wouldn’t put it past Tabata to kill Yuno since it’s expected that Yuno would live because the rival almost always lives or comes back from the dead. Yet, we also can’t rule out that there’s also a tendency for a character to be completely physically defeated. Fuegoleón lost his arm and went into a coma, Finral was near death and went into a coma but came back, Julius died and came back, so we can’t rule out that Yuno might survive and grow from this experience. That said, I think if Yuno does survive then it’s unlikely that Vangeance, Klaus, and Letoile will. We’re going to lose some faves most likely and it’s going to hurt.
Another thing that I keep coming back to is Asta. Like whether Yuno dies or not, Asta and everyone working on the joint task force will likely have to stay put especially now that Spade attacked Clover directly. I want to see Asta have to deal with this in that way, all these people died and he’s got to stay put. He’s got to process it away from the funerals and so forth. He’s got to find a way to deal with it and move forward. Again, it’s a bit of a dual feeling because I love Asta so much so it’s the writer in me going “Yeah, give me the angst,” and the fan in me going “;o; poor Astaaaa and everybody.”
Also I’m curious what will happen with Mimosa? Her squad is decimated and their captain possible dead. Does she join an existing squad? Are there enough people left in the Golden Dawn that someone would just get appointed captain of it and change the name as per typical succession like how the Gray Deer became the Azure Deer? I also want to see how she’s going to process this too, because that’s a lot of loss especially if she was close to a lot of her squad and thought of them as a kind of family potentially.
And finally, the anthropologist side of me is really curious about Clover Kingdom funerals and I’m going to be a bit bummed if we don’t get to find out what those are like considering at least unnamed characters are indeed dead.
All that said, I’m not sure if I’d say I’m rooting for any one theory (or any of them for that matter) to be true or not, and whether we get into the heavy and horrible or not, I’ll keep reading because either way it’ll be interesting. Do I want these characters to die? No, but I’m not going to sneeze at the potential character development and plot points that could come from such things.
