I have this constant image in my head for way later in the rewrite of Zeldris being extremely clingy after he decides that Meliodas is cool again.

But like

Clingy in the way a cat is.

Is he currently perched on Meliodas' shoulders, practically wrapped around his entire head and horns, tail wrapped entirely around his waist, and absolutely purring up a storm? Yes.

Has he been doing this for the last 5 consecutive hours? Also yes.

Is he going to acknowledge the fact that he's doing this? No, no he will not, and neither will anyone else as long as he can stare threateningly at anyone who sees him with those big ol' eyes.

Meliodas doesn't acknowledge this, either. Every time he does, Zeldris tries to bite him.

a marvelous light an a power unbound are great but i'm kind of biased towards a restless truth because that was the first book in the series i read. and since then i've been slightly disappointed that the first and third books don't also contain cozy murder mysteries being solved by maud blyth.

(i highly recommend reading the books in the order of restless truth, marvelous light and then power unbound, by the way.)
