a quick hot guide for people that struggle commenting on fics aka things authors love to hear and youre just over thinking it and its actually really simple to leave comments on stuff!!
key smash/emoji spam/reaction image/etc (it conveys emotions way more than you might think)
drop a line you really liked
say how much you love a ship/character and how happy you are that theres content about them
ALL CAPS ANYTHING
"i liked/loved/enjoyed/whatever it!" its better to say the most basic thing than saying nothing tbh; writers appreciate hearing anything over nothing đ
"thank you for writing this" its short, sweet, and very powerful
think what kind of feedback you'd personally like to receive on a piece of art you made. try to translate that want into comments you leave for other people too
you dont have to be critical or constructive or anything, even if the author asks for that stuff in their notes. they'll get it from someone else, you just do you
i feel like people make leaving comments too hard on themselves, so really just make it simple. if you really dont come up with anything, just say thank you. youre there reading for some reason, tell the author what it is. fic comments dont need to be book analysis essays (tho those are. incredibly appreciated as well if you want to write one!!), writers publishing their works for free online appreciate any kind of feedback regardless if you consider it good or well written. a comment is a comment
bottom line is, leave comments on fics and other written works. its whats keeping this game alive
#feel free to add these are just the two cents in my brain rn#also absolutely reblogs encouraged#listen im not just speaking for myself i want to see every fic writer get more comments. more feedback#and dont even get me fucking started on getting reblogs on this goddamn webbed site im gonna blow up otherwise#just. fucking. support your friends. support your favorite creators. say nice shit about them and share their work#i cant believe this needs to be said in fucking 2023 god#im tired can you tell lmao#i also know im a fucking nobody talking about this but fuck if i dont who will ugh#as someone that tries their best to always leave at least a word in everything i read (which admittedly isnt a lot but still)#this is a very important topic to me. okay? okay#again feel free to add to this and its absolutely rebloggable if for nothing else than to remind people to COMMENT ON FICS#night is an absolute mess on main

TL;DR
Howdy der people of fascinating sufficiency!
things about the blog.
I love polar bears!
I am a writer of many fashions.
I will release essays about the most random things. Existential Tuesday? - Existential today!
Poems of simple nature to poems of thought provoking "wtf".
Photography: I like monochrome photos to accompany my essays.
There will be moments of harsh subject matter. Or at least, innuendos of such.
Character Original Content. I will release concepts of characters to be seen in my future stories.
I re-blog polar bear related content, or posts of similar worth.
I am a soldier that works on behalf the Polargarchy.
I will talk about Lemur Chairs(What are lemur chairs? you may be asking. My point exactly).
I swear. And sometimes a lot.
Please do not follow, like, or even reblog if you are:
An individual with extremist views
And someone who is negative towards everything, beyond reason.
Yes, I could put many other reasons as to whom I wish not to interact with me.
But honestly, if your a moron who persists to bring discomfort, then I am more than happy to take the opportunity to spam said nuisance with polar bear images.
You have been warned.
Wat De Feck is Dis?
So, to be a bit personal, cause why the heck not! Iâm going to elaborate on the âJakeâ side of things.
Welp, as a summary of the âwat de feck is disâ, section.
My name is Jake. I am a student to not only further my career in relation to game design, but computer sciences in general. I am a full time Game Design student. The things I practice whilst away from my formal studies are quite broad.
If I leave a weird comment, reblog, or post weird stuff. Please donât take it to heart. I am just enjoying life to my fullest, even in face of Oblivion. -Oh so cringy..
Anyways yes, oblivion. I have many narratives that I like to take part in pestering people about. Oblivion is my interpretation of the afterlife. Or at least, a stage of it.
Other key narratives, such as the âI am a soldier trained to spy on humans on behalf of the Polargarchyâ involve some weird connections. Like, I really do not like Lemurs, or pandas:
Pandas are spoiled brats.
Lemurs are manipulative witches.
Lemurs have recently embarked upon an offensive against the polargarchy.
Hiding amongst the human ambiguity of capitalistic ownership.
Lemur chairs specifically.
Welp thatâs you up to date. If you want to stay in the loop, follow.
So yeah, thatâs me. Oddity, blasphemy, crabby patty!
Lastly, Polargarchy!
Here is your polar bear. I appreciate your time reading this. I really do, it means a lot. Thank you!

Thinking again about how I got into video essays in the first place: I'd been through hundreds of Annihilation reviews, probably 30+ of them long-form posts/videos and most of them just recapping (some did bother to recap Alex Garland's other work or recap all of Stalker too LMAO) ... then Acolytes of horror's Nathan went for the jugular and Folding Ideas' Dan comes along and goes hey maybe the point isn't to find clear answers. Both of those videos are 20 minutes long btw.
At that point I was following 4 commentators/essayists: Yhara Zayd, Princess Weekes, Strucci movies and Tee Noir - often using the media they were reviewing as the catalyst to go watch the media then hear their review - Absolutely not seeking out video reviews after I'd watched/read something because text based reviews made it easier to scan for actual analysis.
aaand that's when it clicked that actual critics had migrated to youtube as they weren't getting hired by journalism/magazine outlets and they'd get paid far better for videos than blog posts.
So there's this goldilocks time for media criticism: by 2018-2019, sticking "name of media + recap" into a search engine would get a bunch of CEO catch-all sites using bad word transposition to steal someone's recap but the rot hadn't fully hit youtube with "the TTS wiki plot playing over clips" spam so you could better sort through the junk a little... but within 2 and a half years, i'm back to *not* searching for reviews on youtube because everyone and their dog will give you a more or less disguised summary and I'm quite happy to wait however many years it takes an actual critic to get to media that made me think.
(To be quite honest, at this point, I search tumblr.com for text posts because for 9 "piss poor", there's at least 1 nugget of gold by people who actually would have enjoyed literature class if it wasn't dominated by boring media or constrained by needing to pass exams in a certain way.)
>video claiming to be essay/history on a topic
>ask them if its analysis or summary
>they dont understand
>pull out detailed chart explaining what's analyzing the ideas and motives behind a text and what is just presenting information without thinking about it
>"it's a good video, ma'am"
>watch it
>summary

hello lovely person, i come to your inbox seeking solace and the permission to rant about the eternally frustrating mess that is bana twitter. i'm so infuriated by delulu ot5 stans spamming a3 asking for reunion pics w j and b and demanding that they include those 2 in the official anniversary celebrations bc j&b ""deserve" it like??? where do they get their sense of entitlement from lmao i don't get it. and really, why should a3 bear the onus of asking them to join the celebrations when the other 2 have given no indication that they wish to do so in the first place like they literally left the group and no longer associate themselves with it (and no ig bios don't count people) what's not clicking?
it honestly makes me more pissed at the 2 who left (jy in particular) bc they refuse to make a clean break. wm also had a part to play in it ofc bc they didn't release an unequivocal statement about their departure from the group (altho they did say b1a4 will only be promoting as 3 going forward so idk how anyone misinterpret it) but what irks me is that jy never really acknowledged the fact that he left (at least baro wrote a nice letter thanking bana and a3). he keeps stringing his fans along by making empty promises about future reunions and!!!i hate that he won't change his ig bio or twitter header and whatever else it is that convinces people that "his heart lies w b1a4". i hate that he does all this but a3 still have to bear the brunt of the criticism from their fandom even tho they've been working their asses off to give us quality music (jinthoven who, producer cnu owns my heart now) and wholesome content (how precious was b1a4 arcade) to make up for their perceived sins against bana.
sorry this spiralled out of control, haven't used my tumblr in ages but i feel like migrating back bc bana twt is bad for my blood pressure. hope you have a nice day!
Two things real quick:
1. You always have permission to rant here to please do so whenever you feel like it~!! đ 2. PLEASE COME BACK TO TUMBLR WE NEED YOU BACK ITâS SO MUCH NICER AS A BANA PLEASE đ
Ok now that thatâs out of the way lol, wow 10/10, đŻ, like god I really have nothing else to even add? Perfect rant, perfect points, all completely 100% factual points, that some people just donât seem to like to address or acknowledge in their âOT5Ⲡcomments. But the thing is, all of this is true!!
What bothers me the most about the whole OT3/OT5 argument basically comes down to two points:
1. Those spewing OT5 Forever on their personal accounts is one thing. Iâve always said everyone is entitled to their own feelings about this, and I can respect we have our differences. However, going to A3â˛s accounts, to their VLive, and commenting and spamming posts about Baro and Jinyoung and âOh, What does THIS MEAN that Jinyoung posted to the B1A4 VLIVE?? What DOES IT MEAN that Baro posted a pic holding a BANA CUP?!!? I MISS B1A4 AS FIVEâ and itâs like... letâs actually take a breath. Jinyoungâs incident was obviously a mistake, one that he hasnât even addressed. Baro admittedly has liked a few B1A4 posts here and there, with this most recent insta upload the most âvocalâ heâs been regarding B1A4. But does it mean they are going to magically appear for the 10th anniversary? Not at all. There is absolutely no connection between these events. And to try and make such a connection is clearly going out of your way to try and create something that isnât there because you want it to happen. Not because you are looking at the facts and the comments that the members who are actually, actively in B1A4 have made, but because you are overlooking what they have said, and what WM Ent has said, to fit your agenda. And to go and post these wishes and hopes on their official accounts, or even worse, Shindeulchanâs personal social media accounts, especially given how THEY expressed how they felt about the split, well damn. I think thatâs cruel tbh. But yet weâre the nasty ones for not acknowledging bayoung...
2. ... which brings me to the other main point that irks me. Just because I am not currently an âOT5Ⲡfanatic, again, given what we KNOW TO BE TRUE!!! (Basically most of which youâve already listed-- WMâs statement of B1A4 continuing AS THREE, Sandeul and CNUâs comments and feelings they have made on guest show appearances, their fanmeet, the B1A4 Documentary+, etc., not to mention Baroâs statement, and even Jinyoungâs, which mentions about looking forward into the future if they should all come back again, in addition to the dead silence Jinyoung has been about bipo since then) but just because some of us arenât âOT5Ⲡgiven all that, DOESNâT MEAN WEâRE AGAINST BARO OR JINYOUNG!! like that pisses me off so much, this âdivideâ that is being made... Itâs like no, I just respect the feelings of the members who are actually here more so than wishing for something to happen that isnât going to any time soon, like sorry that upsets you. And guess what, I still will always adore Baro and Jinyoung. I still wish the best for them. And if/when the time comes that they want to come back, and A3 accepts them back (because again, itâs up to THEM, not the âOT5Ⲡfans!!) I will 100% be happy and grateful to see B1A4 as five. But until then, I will support Baro and Jinyoung in their solo efforts, and B1A4 as three, for all that they do and have done to make the transition from 5 to 3 easier for us.
lmao I love how Iâm like âoh your ask was great I have nothing to sayâ then go and write an essay. Well, I am nothing if not on brand with my word vomit.
Thanks for this anon, as you can tell it lit a fire under my ass lol. I donât think Iâve been this vocal about it all in a while~
#i'm curious if there's anyone deep in the ot5 pool on here like i don't want to chase you away and if anything i'd be interested to hear if#there is actually any argument for there side#cause i just can't see it#b1a4#jinyoung#baro#cnu#sandeul#gongchan#shindeulchan#ot5#wm entertainment#text#ask#reply#but for real those 'b1a4 will always be 5 comments are the worst' it's like you do realize b1a4 is currently three so how can they always#be 5 and in saying so you are completely ignoring then everything cnu sd and gc have done and are doing to#push through their own sadness and feelings to come back for US#like god it's selfish

THIS ONE IS REAL
Those are pretty expensive. If they were obviously good, someone would already be writing stuff on top of it. He made cars, which had been a luxury item, into a commodity. But maybe the older generation would laugh at me for opinions expressed here, remember that anything you see here that's not in the middle. I once wrote that startup founders should be at least 23, and that one should just go to grad school.1 Why do you think so? Could you turn theorems into a commodity, and they were still mostly in denial about problems. When we got real funding near the end of it, but regardless it's certainly constraining.
Soon after we arrived at Yahoo, we got an email from Filo, who had been crawling around our directory hierarchy, asking if it was really necessary to store so much of it. At each step, flow down. Our generation wants to get paid for doing work you love, you're practically there. I said a good rule of thumb for recognizing when you have competitors, because it's painful to observe the gap between them. But when I finally tried living there for a bit last year, and the Bible is quite explicit on the subject of homosexuality. Though unprecedented, I predict this situation is also temporary. They can't hire smart people anymore, but they don't get blamed for it. This one is real. But unfortunately you run into a chicken and egg problem here. And when you see something that's taking advantage of new technology to give people something they want that they couldn't have before, you're probably looking at a winner. In a field like math or physics, where no audience matters except your peers, and judging ability is sufficiently straightforward that hiring and admissions committees can do it without setting off the kind of work you do, and since you have to jump through in school.2 So Dad, there's this company called Apple.
Err. And indeed, a lot of meetings; don't have chunks of code that multiple people own; don't have chunks of code that multiple people own; don't have chunks of code that multiple people own; don't have a cofounder, but that there be few of them. Afterward I wondered, what am I even measuring? And that's fine. If you're a hacker thinking about starting a startup in New York admire more.3 Even Einstein probably had moments when he wanted to have a meeting about it. Don't maltreat users is a subset of a more general technique: making things easier.
At least, it has to look professional. My only leisure activities were running, which I think even Spamhaus would admit is a rough guess at the top spammers. Wealth is defined democratically. While you're at it, you should get a job. After all, a Web 2. But an online square is more dangerous than a physical one. Startup ideas are ideas for companies, and sales depends mostly on effort. Surely one had to force oneself to work on, toward things you actually like. By seeming unable even to cut a grapefruit in half let alone go to the store and buy one, he forced other people to use.4 If anyone is dishonest, it's the one with fewer employees that's more impressive.
The intervening years have created a situation that is, someone whose best work was behind himâand hand over the project with copious free advice about how the book should show in positive terms the strength and diversity of the American people, etc, etc. If this were a movie, for example. If you want to stay happy, you have to assume there was someone born in Milan with as much natural ability as Leonardo couldn't beat the force of environment, do you suppose you can? Even if your only goal is to please them, the way to get information out of them. The Bay Area has a lot of time thinking about language design. One reason people who've been out in the world. Thanks to Sam Altman, was 19 at the time.
As I was leaving I offered it to him, as I've done countless times before in the same way the classic airline pilot manner is said to derive from Chuck Yeager. Once publishingâgiving people copiesâbecomes the most natural way of distributing your content, it probably isn't, it tended to pervade the atmosphere of early universities. How many times have you heard hackers speak fondly of how in, say, transportation or communications. But the reason reporters ended up writing stories about this particular truth, rather than by compiler writers. For better or worse, the idea of starting a startup just doesn't require that much intelligence. But it's harder than it looks. Serving web pages is very, very large. Most of us hate to acknowledge this. When the values of the elite. If you're sure of the general area you want to do when they're 12, and just the sort of trifle that breaks deals when investors feel they have the upper handâover an uncertainty about whether the founders had correctly filed their 83 b forms, if you asked random people on the street if they'd like to do is figure things out, why do you need to in order to store something for them. Most good mathematicians would work on math even if there were no jobs as math professors, whereas in the departments at the other students' without having more than glanced over the book to learn the names of users with the highest average comment scores in orange.
And software sells hardware. I wanted. Taking a shower is like a form of meditation. And the boneheads who designed this stove even had an example of loving their work might help their kids more than an expensive house. The Bay Area has a lot of startupsâprobaby most startups funded by Y Combinator. It's an old idea that new things come from the margin is simply that you don't have an idea. Java will turn out to be a tradition of startups taking VC money, and work on what you love is very difficult. Responsibility is an occupational disease of eminence. Odd as it might sound, we tell startups that they should try to make friends with as many smart people as you can. Or they could return to their roots and make going to the theater a treat. Well, no.
So what's interesting? The reason we have high level languages is because people can't deal with machine language. How hard would it be to jumpstart a silicon valley? So far the complete list of messages I've picked up from cities is: wealth, style, hipness, physical attractiveness, fame, political power, economic power, intelligence, social class, and quality of life. Audiences have to be derived from working in that field. I learned to program when computer power was scarce.5 This extra cost buys you flexibility. These are the only places I know that Richard and Jonathan Rees have done a lot quicker.
Notes
They would have a bogus political agenda or are feebly executed. Not only do convertible debt, so problems they face are probably not do that. Some who read this essay I'm talking mainly about software design.
Put in chopped garlic, pepper, cumin, and stir. And of course reflects a willful misunderstanding of what you launch with, you might be digital talent. The Civil Service Examinations of Imperial China, many of the definition of important problems includes only those on the subject of language power in Succinctness is Power. But be careful here, I was writing this, but something feminists need to be when it converts you get stock as if you'd just thought of them could as accurately be called acting Japanese.
If this happens it will become increasingly easy to believe your whole future depends on the matter. In sufficiently disordered times, even if they do the opposite: when we created pets. If you're part of an audience of investors want to invest in successive rounds, it will thereby expose it to profitability on a map. But you can eliminate, do not try too hard at fixing bugsâwhich is the least important of the world wars to say that it will seem as if the fix is at pains to point out that this isn't strictly true, because spam and P nonspam are both genuinely formidable, and only incidentally to tell someone that I hadn't had much success in doing a bad idea has been rewritten to suit present fashions.
Together these were the impressive ones. I switch person. And while this is the way to create a silicon valley out of school. Obviously signalling risk.
Another thing I learned from this experiment: set aside an option to maintain their percentage. What you're looking for something they wanted, so you'd find you couldn't slow the latter without also slowing the former.

South Korean music industry at a glance: an outsider perspective
I watched one particular AMV last week. The song used for the video was âIâm afraidâ by Korean rock band DAY6. I was pleasantly surprised as someone who values lyrics in song first and foremost. The music itself was great. Iâll listen to their songs again. Itâs a nice fit for my music taste. Naturally, YouTubeâs algorithm decided that Iâm a fan of everything Korean after 1 video and started spamming my recommendations with k-pop songs, documentaries and everything in-between.Â
I watched a couple of videos, listened to some songs and discovered fascinating patterns. So, I went down to the comment section. And it was rather interesting experience, should I say? The concept of entertainment industry in South Korea simply begged to be explored more after this. I dug deeper and visited Tumblr k-pop tags and briefly glanced upon Instagram and Twitter. And, oh...
I am a big picture person and I enjoy both studying and creating systems. This one was particularly fun to explore. I discovered a lot of new things for myself. Perhaps, you can discover something new for yourself too or take a step back and look at this from a new angle.Â
Disclaimer: itâs impossible not to offend someone on Tumblr, so keep that in mind. That being said, I do NOT intend to insult of offend anyone. Itâs just a little research done for fun, because I love research with a purpose. This post is NOT A HATE post. No hate intended for fans, artists or other people involved. Itâs meant to be a discussion, nothing more and nothing less. If it sounds like hate, itâs just my sarcastic sense of humour.
Content Warning: I mention suicide, death, depression, rape in a couple of sentences. Thereâs nothing major or graphic, but itâs there.Â
In this long post I decided to share with you my opinion, a so-called outsider perspective, on the world of music entertainment industry in South Korea and people involved in it on different levels. I use the word âoutsiderâ mainly because, thatâs exactly what I am in this case, as someone who is in no way involved in k-pop community. I canât name you a single band or their members. I donât know any solo artist and canât neither sing nor name you any song.Â
And to be completely honest, I donât think I will set my foot into k-pop fan-circles ever again after everything I saw.Â
Think of this as âIn this essay I will...â meme, except thereâs an actual essay.
As far as I know, in South Korea âk-popâ refers to all music produced in SK, including solo artists, various bands, singers-songwriters. It doesnât even have to be pop music. Koreans include in this definition all genres of music. However, around the world âk-popâ means primarily music made by idol groups and bands marketed for children, teenagers and younger people. In this post I use the latter definition, because thatâs how most people understand âk-popâ in other countries. Therefore, my statements, opinions and conclusions here would concern only idol music.Â
The music industry in South Korea is heavily influenced by culture and traditions of the country, just like all things are. And thereâs nothing wrong with that. After all, different backgrounds are what makes people so interesting and unique. However, when combined with consumer mindset, desire to generate profit at any cost and fast-paced nature of modern life these neutral cultural elements could produce something concerning, and it can lead to disastrous consequences.Â
1. Idol
These people are called artists, musicians, singers, bands, groups, performers. In South Korea and in Japan, however, people call them Idols or Stars. Iâve also seen Muses, Princes and Queens. Interesting, isnât it? The terminology used to describe these musicians in South Korea is one of the key elements in this whole entertainment system. Youâll see why.
But who or what is an idol exactly? Letâs take a basic definition from Wikipedia.
âIn the practice of religion, a cult image or devotional image is a human-made object that is venerated or worshipped for the deity, person, spirit or daemon ... that it embodies or represents. In several traditions, including the ancient religions of Egypt, Greece and Rome, and modern Hinduism, cult images in a temple may undergo a daily routine of being washed, dressed, and having food left for them. Processions outside the temple on special feast days are often a feature. Religious images cover a wider range of all types of images made with a religious purpose, subject, or connection. In many contexts "cult image" specifically means the most important image in a temple, kept in an inner space, as opposed to what may be many other images decorating the temple.
The term idol is often synonymous with worship cult image. In cultures where idolatry is not viewed negatively, the word idol is not generally seen as pejorative, such as in Indian English.â
Cambridge Dictionary defines idol as follows:
And hereâs the definition from Oxford Dictionary:Â
This is a centrepiece of this tapestry. Surely, you have noticed by now what these definitions have in common.Â
Idol = a cult image of a god, a deityÂ
By calling these musicians âidolsâ industry makes society and audience treat them in certain way, namely as gods. What characteristics do gods possess? They are beautiful, talented, funny, confident and graceful, blessed by eternal youth of immortality. Gods have no flaws, they do not bleed, they are above human concerns. They are an embodiment of perfection. They are stars, you could not reach.Â
But real people are not like that. They can be sad and angry, insecure. People donât have perfectly symmetrical faces. They canât dance in sync without preparation. They canât sing like angels at any given moment throughout the day.
What happens when idols accidentally reveal their humanity? What happens when people see, that they make mistakes and do stupid things, that they need to train hard to appear graceful on stage?Â
I will tell you. And itâs not pretty. But, first, letâs look at other elements of this system.Â
2. Y/N and Self-insert fantasy
Aside from the music, K-pop sells the self-insert fantasy to the audience. Itâs carefully arranged to appear real, where the cracks are masked and every word is scripted. The reality is so vivid that one doesnât even have to use imagination all that much, because all scenarios and decorations already exist. Countless interviews for TV and magazines, fan meetings, talk shows, reality shows made sure people are privy to all juicy details of personal lives and opinions of musicians. And also one word - merchandise. Some of that merch made me question my life choices. Some of it is, ah, creepy or has weird vibes. All of this provides plenty of material for people to work with. Fans can effortlessly imagine themselves beside their idols or even in their place.Â
In a highly competitive society, where people throw themselves into studying and work since young age, forming deep and lasting connections with others is very hard, sometimes impossible. As a result, people long to have a group of close friends with similar interests, a loving partner who would cherish them endlessly. People want to be rewarded for their backbreaking efforts to succeed by the carefree life of fame and music, everlasting friendships and love. And in a way you canât really blame them for his.Â
Does this dream life sound familiar? We are looking at K-pop bands here. It doesnât really matter if their members donât always get along or that they can live in debt, that fame is fickle and adoring fans can tear your self-confidence to shreds. Audience wants the glamour of fantasy and the industry is more than happy to cater to these desires.Â
Perhaps, knowing that even for idols this fantasy is sometimes unattainable makes the whole set up feel just a little cruel.Â
3. Fans, stans and fandom culture
Weâve already established earlier that idols are gods in the eyes of people and listed traits they must possess. So, what else do gods need to exist? Worshippers. Because a cult is worth nothing without its followers. Gods need a group of people to worship them and spread their beliefs. The role of worshippers is performed by a fans in this case.Â
Apparently, there is a running joke that girl groups need to win a general public popularity and boy bands need a big passionate fandom. It seems to be true according to my observations.Â
In k-pop fandom people use the word âstanâ to state that they like or support particular group. Now, I am sure everyone here knows that in other fandoms, dedicated to movies, shows, books and games thereâs an important distinction between being a âfanâ and a âstanâ. What is it?Â
A fan is someone who likes a ship or character, creates and/or consumes fandom content, supports certain ideas, discusses things they enjoyed and disliked, criticises canon. Stans, however, are a different breed. They engage in all typical fandom activities, but their support and enjoyment becomes obsession. Stans believe their favourite characters and ships are immune to criticism, that they are superior no matter what others say. Stans start shipping wars, send anon hate, death threats over fictional characters and hurt real people. Stans are considered toxic fans. And majority of normal civilised people donât like them and try their best to let stans hang out in their echo chamber by themselves.Â
In other fandoms and communities, to be a fan means to love, support and enjoy something, while to stan means to obsess over and hyperfixate on these same things. Words âI stanâ rarely mean âI supportâ for most people, and if they do mean that, itâs only used in a joking manner (âWe stan procrastination legend!â, âI stan our miscommunication kingsâ).
Everywhere else âstanâ has only negative connotations, except in k-pop. But what has changed? Whatâs the difference? Why do international fans scoff at âshipper stansâ and then turn around calling themselves âstans of X k-pop groupâ at the same time? Does it make you wonder?Â
And this is another core theme of k-pop, in my opinion. In fandom where stan = obsession = support, you can see interesting patterns.Â
Fandom loves their flawless gods. But watching them from afar is not enough for some people, because unlike deities in different religions, these gods live among us. People are very much aware of that. Industry has created a cult and laid the groundwork for worshippers to express their adoration in every way including personal contact. And who wouldnât want to meet their god? Who wouldnât want to know more about them or tell them how much you love them? In talk shows and fan meetings there is only so much one can do after all.
People desire to know more, to have more so much that their obsession transforms into concerning stalker tendencies. These crazy individuals follow idols, stalk them on social media, in hotels, research flight numbers, bribe security. Musicians were attacked and poisoned. I strongly suspect there were cases of rape that no one knows about. There is even a special term for these fans -Â âsasaengâ.Â
Is there a definition for stalkers of actors or musicians in western world? No, Iâm pretty sure there isnât. They are just called âinvasive/obsessive fansâ or âstalkersâ.
Also, there are sasaeng memes. Yeah, you heard that right. I enjoy some classy dark humour as much as the next person, but there is a fine line between normal and questionable.Â
Back to the topic of stalkers. Do you realise how disturbing that is? Such behaviour is so common that there is a term for it. You create a fandom-cult, encourage people to worship k-pop idols as gods and then act surprised when members of said cult become fanatics and their adoration becomes obsession.
And itâs so easy to step on this slippery road. The system makes it ridiculously easy. Lines begin to blur. How much is too much? Where do you draw the line?Â
While sasaeng fans engage in extreme real-life obsession, people online arenât that far off, to be honest. Iâve seen it all: imagines, headcanons, fanfiction, real-person shipping, reactions. Real person shipping is a controversial topic. Some people support it, others donât. I suppose Iâm among those who donât get it. Iâm not exactly against it, but I find it strange. Mainly because itâs based on assumptions made by fans about personalities and behaviour of real people.Â
Assumptions. Dear me! K-pop fandom has this thing with video compilations. Iâve never seen this phenomenon being so widespread in any other community or fandom. Basically people edit together a collection of short clips from talk-shows, interviews, Instagram stories, some YouTube videos, etc and then proceed to analyse every gesture, word, facial expression of idols and provide both audio and on-screen commentary. These videos and many other forms of similar analysis allow people to imagine what kind of personalities idols have, what kind of life do they live. Itâs the source material for fanfiction, imagines and headcanons.Â
But itâs not real. Itâll never be real. Itâs an illusion, an image, a stage persona. They fall in love with a face and made up personality. And I think that when people create this content they can forget this. Fans can develop certain emotional dependence and unhealthy attitudes in the long run. In some YouTube comments even supportive and encouraging words sound whiny and obsessive. And semantics of being a âstanâ of certain group or individual doesnât help.Â
4. Industry, companies and liarsÂ
At last we arrive at the most important aspect of music entertainment industry - its creators.
Have you seen âThe Road to El Doradoâ? Itâs one of my all time favourites. It has iconic characters, adult jokes that I didnât get as a child and iconic soundtrack. Iâll quote âItâs Tough To Be A Godâ a lot here.Â
In South Korea music industry is a factory, the production line to be exact. This kind of set up affects everything in the grand scheme of things. Companies and agencies play the role of training centres and record labels. And there are so many of them that a whole new scamming system developed based around fake idol agencies. It implies that there are people who fall for offers of these agencies and continue to do so. I suspect that victims must pay a fortune upfront before they realise their mistake. Are there any kind of legal protection against such scams? How can people verify the authenticity? Because a well masked scam can exist for a long time before someone discovers it and calls them out on their nonsense.Â
As far as I understand legal companies work like this. After high school, which is often focused on performing arts (and private schools can get away with using talents of students for personal gain, which is totally not surprising), young people can audition for an agency and become an idol in training or idol-trainee. And passing audition is hard. But good recommendations can help, connections too.Â
During training you donât get paid. Only a few companies pay aspiring musicians. People can spend years in training and donât debut. But rent, necessities, clothing and food (not that you need much of it, but more on that later) cost a lot. Where do you get the money to live then? Support from parents, one or two part time jobs at most and bank loans. Surprise! We found an unexpected (just kidding, itâs very obvious) party, who reaps benefits from the system.Â
You need skill to be an idol. Natural talent helps too. The more skills you have, the cheaper and faster your training is. To level up your game you attend classes every month offered by your agency, which are not cheap (dance classes range from 400$ to 1000$ per month, sometimes more). There are four main categories in evaluation process: vocals, rapping, dancing and visuals. Idols are multitaskers, to have a chance on stage one must be perfect at everything. And people are ready to invest thousands of dollars into their kids training so that they could have a chance in entertainment industry. South Korea thrives on revenue k-pop industry generates every day.
Letâs pause here for a second and think about what kind of people come to these agencies. The answer is easy. People who have a dream, a desire, a real goal. You donât wake up one day and decide to become a k-pop idol. Sometimes people get invited by agencies (after prior acting, modelling career or any other form of exposure). These people are usually very young. Some start straight after high school, some after university, but 25 years old is considered a late start. Compare that to western musicians who start singing at any age and still become famous.Â
But why this age limit? Because idols are eternally young. So that in public eye musicians are remembered as 20 year old gods. People would listen to their music and imagine a young attractive face. Career in k-pop is short, it lasts 5-7 years, rarely longer than that. Itâs even less than modelling or acting can offer. And professional sportsmen retire in their late 30â˛s. Some play longer, but usually, thatâs it.
If you live in Los Angeles and say that you want to be an actor or performer, no one would bat an eye. Itâs like saying that you want to be an engineer or accountant. Similarly, in South Korea becoming an k-pop musician is a real career. Because part of the self insert fantasy that the industry sells is the idea that anyone can be an idol. Itâs easy after all. Anyone can pass auditions and become a trainee. A trainee with no guarantee of debut. But one should never underestimate the power of idol-dream. After all, idea is the most resilient parasite. Â
âMy friends started training in kindergarten. They have wanted to become idols since youngâ
âA lot of young kids get interested in Korean musicâÂ
A 6-year old child sees the performance of k-pop group for the first time on TV. Letâs say itâs a girl. She is enraptured and decides that she will be like that too someday. She grows up, while being part of the fandom, just like all idols are in one way or another and whose fan-obsession transforms into desire to succeed. Her parents spend time and money to find her tutors, to fund dancing and singing classes. Perhaps in high school this girl decides to fix the shape of her eyes and make nose straighter. She trains hard and passes the auditions in her dream agency. And during training this girl faces the reality of behind the scenes life in music industry.
âWhy are you crying? Iâm not even pushing youâ
âHow many times have I told you? The rest are doing it perfectlyâ
âShe is dancing like an elementary school studentâ
âI watched your performance as a spectator who bought a ticket to your concert. I want a refundâ
âYou make my ears hurt. I donât want to listen at allâ
âListening to you was tiringâ
âIâll kick you out instead. You wonât debutâ
âI thought I was going to die. Thatâs how determined I wasâÂ
While I do understand that keeping a high quality standards in media industry is important, there are more productive and healthy ways to motivate someone to improve and be more passionate, you know? Constantly insulting people with sadistic glee and putting them down at every opportunity or calling them ugly to their face doesnât do much.Â
Do you think that children know about this? Do they know about soulless teachers and belittling managers? Do they know about friends who are really your competition, so you shouldnât get attached? Do they know about living in debt? Do they know any of this? No, I donât think they do.Â
Children dream about the stage, about the sea of lights and crowds who chant your names. They want adoring fans and photoshoots. They want to appear on TV and magazine covers. Teenagers want the thrill of performance, they want to share their music and dancing with others.Â
âI donât know how many times I cried aloneâ
The truth is cruel. But they wonât give up easily even if it means sleeping 4-5 hours and consuming no more than 500 calories per day. Because giving up means that your whole life was a lie. One canât afford not to be good enough. Giving up means admitting that all efforts and money your family invested into your dream were in vain. It means losing face before your family and friends - a fate worse than death. Imagine living this idol dream and building your whole future around it and then being told that youâll never debut because of the circumstances outside of your control or something minor, like face shape or 1 kg of weight that your body refuses to lose. It can break you. Especially if you are like 18 or something.Â
5. âAnd who am I to bridle if I'm forced to be an idol If they say that I'm a God, that's what I amâ
âI donât think thereâs anything a tough as being a trainee in Koreaâ
Once you are a trainee at the agency your personal life does not belong to you anymore. You canât go out without permission of the agency. You phone is taken away. Your diet and weight are monitored. Bad habits are not allowed (no smoking, drinking or drugs). Oh! I think I found the good thing in the system! Unfortunately, it wonât last. Trainees canât date or meet with family without permission of agency. Dating is very taboo. Even established idols canât openly date.Â
Why is that? Because gods canât belong to anyone. Their lives are property of the fandom. Because openly dating idols destroy the self-insert fantasy. There was a former idol girl who dated another musician. She was called a whore by her fans, her loving and adoring stans. You might know who I am talking about. Would you call an American actor or singer a prostitute for dating someone?
Trainees sign the contract. And how can a young person straight out of school or university know much about what makes a good contract in entertainment industry or what makes a good contract in general? Even if you do understand the terms fully you would still sign it because if you have come so far, you canât let your dream slip this easily. There isnât a choice. Not really. If you want to debut, you will agree to anything.
What about life after debut? You have to pay off your loans. And company takes 60-70% of your groupâs earnings. Artists themselves get 30-40% and split it between themselves. K-pop groups have from 5 to 10 members or more than that. Each person gets less than 6%. Idols are not filthy rich. They are not. These earnings are practically nothing compared to the work you have put into this.Â
Idols are musicians, who often donât even write their own songs, music or create choreography. But if public doesnât like the song and musical number the company created, they blame idols for the failure. Such an amazing logic we see right here. But people say that sharing music is the best part of idol life. But whose music?Â
Models on catwalk are not there to demonstrate their physical beauty, they are blank canvas for works of clothing designers. Same with k-pop musicians. They act like puppets in a way, whose faces and voices are used to show audience someoneâs music and songs. Some groups do write their own music and lyrics and itâs nice to know that. But those, who donât are rather unfortunate. Itâs a nice tool of psychological control and pressure for an agency. They can hold it over group and use the following rhetoric: âWe gave you everything! Why canât you follow the simple instructionsâ or âWhere would you be without us? Itâs not even your music!â
I called k-pop industry a factory. Thatâs true. Dozens of people become trainees every year. These talented young people are fully prepared to do anything to achieve their goal. They are ready to practice until they collapse, starve themselves and pour themselves into every song. Companies know that. Tell me why would they value their idols as individuals, as people, as human beings if they always have a replacement? Why bother with mental health of their artists if next year they could have a fresh set of people, who are younger and prettier? Why try to improve relationships inside groups if you could fire any member and replace them within a month or two?
In western countries famous bands have different stories. Some were friends since high school, who played in bars and during festivals and then they were noticed by some representative of label company, who offered them a contract. Some groups were formed by like-minded people who bonded and decided to share their music with the world. There are many stories, but ultimately the have one thing in common. Bands in the West often form themselves. These people had time to bond, connect, discover each other, solve some disagreements and learn to work around their differences.Â
K-pop groups are formed by their agencies. They are their property in a way. Company selects the best and puts together these total strangers, appoints the leader with marketable face and personality and then expects them to work together like a well-oiled machine. No one has time to bond during training, because other people are you competition, not friends. And then you must learn to work as a team and be best friends on camera for the audience to support the self-insert fantasy. Itâs no wonder that k-pop groups donât get along sometimes. And every member knows that they are replaceable. It doesnât help in forming connections. Groups canât just terminate contract and go to work with another agency. I heard it happens sometimes, but itâs not a done thing. Unlike in other countries where bands just sign the deal with a different label and release their music under their name if they donât like the old conditions.Â
âIt's tough to be a God But if you get the people's nod Count your blessings, keep them sweet, that's our advice Be a symbol of perfection Be a legend, be a cult Take their praise, take a collection As the multitudes exalt Don a supernatural habit We'd be crazy not to grab it So sign up two new Gods for paradiseâ
But is it really a paradise?
Idols are expected to act cute, to match personalities created for them by fans or media. They have to act according to the concept of their group. They have to be a symbol of perfection: skinny, single and with a face perfected by surgery. They are allowed to mess up, but only in a cute way. They can break down and cry, but only if itâs âaestheticâ.
Weight issues are a separate topic. Sometimes I wonder whether managers in companies understand how weight loss or human body in general works. To be honest, I think that scales in agencies are rigged. And only managers know that. I know it can be done from personal experience. Some beach resorts tweak their scales and make them show 4-6 kg less than actual weight, so people wouldnât get upset if they gain some. There is no way a girl as tall as I am (173 cm) could weigh like 47-50 kg and be able to perform complex choreography on stage and sing without being out of breath, visit the gym on a regular basis and generally function as a normal human without fainting every other day.
âI developed a lot of eating disordersâ
âI think I consumed about 300 calories todayâ
âSomeone, please, trim the fat off her armsâ
If you grow up thinking of idols as gods and then, when you become one of them you think that you must act as one too. But being an easily replaceable god is a heavy burden. The industry, companies and audience want you to be perfect, to always be on your best behaviour. And the thought of not being good enough or divine enough terrifies you, because stans have no mercy (black ocean concept is the most stupid thing ever by the way). This kind of pressure can destroy even the most resilient. And it does.Â
Almost everyone knows that situation with mental health in South Korea is not the best to put it lightly. In many ways itâs a cultural thing. But in k-pop mental health issues are treated with even less care. Gods are not supposed to be depressed or suicidal. They are not supposed to have fears or insecurities, canât be upset or angry. They try hard to be this deity, this image. So, even when they realise they need professional help or even a friend to talk to, they either wonât seek said help or reach out only to be met with silence. Some agencies disapprove or forbid therapy altogether.Â
Sometimes fandom becomes self-aware.
âDonât forget that idols are people too!â
âYour favourite idols are running out of breath just to keep you entertainedâ
âThey are humans, who have feelings!â
Oh, but hereâs the thing, my friend. The industry doesnât want you to think of them as people. Companies and media repeatedly reinforce the idea that they are not people, they are your idols. And strangely enough, the audience supports this idea. People continue to call them idols, developing worshiping tendencies in the process, imitate them, scrutinise their flaws and triumphs. Because, you know, only âreal and ordinary humansâ can have flaws, not âidolsâ.
So people who say âthey are human tooâ and people who say âwow, this concert was amazing, but vocals in the beginning were so off-key, I simply canâtâ are one and the same.
This thought process would have been funny if it wasnât so disappointing. But thatâs just my observation.
And hereâs another thing about sexualisation. I said before how appearances are everything, marketable face and body could drastically improve your chances to succeed. Companies know about this too and concepts and aesthetics of groups are designed accordingly. Girls are dressed in skimpy outfits, their dances are unnecessary suggestive, they wear heavy make up and try to have âmatureâ vibes. Boys donât avoid such objectification either: suits, tight pants and dress shirts along with make up and hairstyle to give audience a promise of the things to come. Grown adults are not supposed to lust after 15-17 year olds. You canât just create a sexy stage persona for teenagers. Do you remember my earlier words about creepy merch? Yeah. All of it neatly plays into the self-insert fantasy and encourages obsessive behaviour.Â
This happens in western countries too. In some way thatâs understandable. Beautiful and sexy image with a hint of innocence attracts more people and sells, because it caters to one of the base human instincts. But some things make your skin crawl.Â
Sponsorships are another topic. Some k-pop bands seek out sponsors to provide financial aid and cover expenses, when earnings are not enough. Sometimes these sponsorships are fine, perfectly civil. But sometimes itâs a prostitution. Girl groups receive money and provide sexual favours to their patrons. Itâs a way for the group to gain financial support and even find new opportunities in the industry. Companies can encourage such deals. Let that sink in for a moment.Â
6. âAny advice to those who want to become a k-pop idol?â
A lot of former idols and trainees have similar responses to this question.Â
âI donât want to discourage anyone, but think twiceâ
âYou only see the glamorous side, but donât see all the hard work that goes into itâ
âItâs not what you thinkâ
âThey think âSince I am good looking and can sing and dance really well, maybe I should become an idol?â, but there is much more to itâ
âThey think itâs something that is easy and will keep their family set for life financiallyâ
And this implies that most people donât know what kind of lifestyle k-pop stars truly have, despite the amount of information available online about âbehind the scenesâ proceedings.
7. Moving on
I am a practical person and every decision I make is subjected to scrutiny. And after seeing everything I can't help but wonder whether idols believe it's truly worth it. What keeps the industry alive is the idol-dream, the wilful ignorance of its reality and youthful idealism, the beautiful naĂŻve belief that it'll get better, even if it never does in the end.
Sure no one would ever admit it out loud, because it's one of those things you never say on camera, no matter how sincere you have to be. It's the matter of professionalism after all, and idols have it spades. And also, because admitting this would equal admitting that you spent your best years doing something you both loved and hated, admitting that this was a mistake.
When you grow up in a society where appearances matter the most, where saving face and being polite is more important than staying true to yourself, where individuality is tolerated only to a certain point, it takes a lot of courage to admit that you need a break. I greatly respect those who decided that idol lifestyle is not for them and moved on.
8. Conclusion
To sum up, I hope you enjoyed my small research and this perspective, since you have read it all the way to the end. Â
You have noticed that entertainment industry is an intricate system and its every component makes sure nothing changes. Companies have power over idols and audience, fandom has power over idols and their careers, and musicians themselves have fame and their music, but not always the promised fortune or happiness.Â
Itâs important to understand the big picture to draw your own conclusions and encourage positive and heathy attitudes in fandoms. Being open minded and allowing people to make mistakes and live their lives the way they want to is a part of being a decent person. People donât owe anything to others. Art is about sharing your thoughts and feelings, promoting ideas and spreading beauty. Itâs not always about money. And I think that this is what k-pop lacks as an industry. It turned dreams and human need for self-expression into business. Here everything is turned into a product. Everything idols touch can be sold, sometimes literally. Industry created problems, which canât be solved anymore, because doing so would topple the system. And I find it tragic. Trapped in an endless chase after perfection creators of k-pop forgot that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.Â
If you take a look at comment sections and posts on different platforms, what will you see? What kind of things resonate with audience? What makes people laugh and cry? When people start to appreciate the substance?
âEveryone needs to hear this song in their darkest momentsâ
âThank you for your music!â
âThey always deliver! These guys canât make a bad song!â
âIt inspired me to write again!â
âTheir songs brought me and my sister together once againâ
âThis is what happens when you let groups write their own music - they make incredible thingsâ
âThey really are legends of k-pop! I love that they are not afraid to show their inner strengthâ
âStay strong! You rock!â
I believe that the answer is quite simple: when itâs real, sincere. Itâs all about the message you choose to send to your audience, because only superficial things cause obsession. When you say that the sparkly faade is all that matters, then thatâs the only thing people will ever care about. Your audience will never give a damn about the meaning behind dancing, music or lyrics, if you tell them that performance is more important. No one would praise WHAT k-pop idols sing, instead they would prefer wasting breath to criticize HOW they sing or look or move.Â
I dare the k-pop industry to prove people that itâs not just about looks or perfection, or laser shows, or being a branding machine. Prove to your fans that k-pop artists are also passionate people with big dreams and talent, who love every moment of their job, who live and inspire, who are human just like us and whose humanity is real!
Do it, you cowards!
And now, Iâm finished. I can hear the raging crowd of k-pop fandom in the distance, which means itâs time to hide. See you some other time!Â

(Note: Iâm not repeating stories heâs told before and just putting them in parenthesis. I have a lot more videos to go until Iâm caught up so that would save me a lot of time. If he gives details I never heard from him before, I will type those.)
âThe New Onision Gossip (^_^)â September 26, 2020 - Speaks
- He says he assumes thereâs a new rumor because he was spammed on Twitch with comments implying he struck someone heâs married to. He says he addresses every rumor because it interests him and because if he doesnât people think they are facts. - He doesnât know where the rumor came from. He finds it the same as the stuff heâs dealt with for some time. People not needing proof, just going off of feelings. The masses bombarded his stream and said it was reality. If youâre in your late 20â˛s or older, you get fed up with high school drama. - Says Kai was ahead a grade when he was in high school, so he was a senior when they met. He told Kai the other day that if Kai never jumped a grade, he never would have talked to him. He wouldnât date a high schooler. He was 26 and Kai was 9 years younger than him. - Says he once screwed up and said he spoke to Kaiâs dad and his dad told him to come back in 10 years when Kai is 25. He says it doesnât make sense and it was idiocy on his part. He says there are at least 40 witnesses that know they never spoke until later. The first time he thinks Kai tweeted him was October 2011. He says they started talking around the time Shiloh cheated on him. - (Shiloh cheated story) He says after they broke up, Shiloh made an essay about how great of a boyfriend he was. [I think heâs talking about this?] He says she was trying to woo him back after he left her. He made a song, Her Lies, instead of taking her back. He tells his audience to stream it on Spotify. Says Shiloh would try to threaten suicide when he broke up with her. He admits he did the same over his alimony payments. (Alimony story, divorce story, Skye was lazy and depressed) - Says when he first met Skye she was a social outcast. She reminded him of Wednesday Addams. He first saw her in a gymnasium, they were in the same class. He found her different than everyone else and he thought that was interesting. He walked over to her and she acted like he was a d-bag for trying to talk to her. âTypical girl emo-ness.â He waited it out and she warmed up to him. One day she invited him over to her house over AOL instant messenger. Her sister opened the door and he thought âoh my god! She looks so happy! She looks so full of life!â He says he thought her sister was her. He saw Skye walk into the picture and she was emo as ever. Same mopey, depressed person. He says for some reason he wanted to be the guy that will hang out with her, make her happy, and make her save herself from herself. - They dated for a month and he broke up with her because he realized heâd never make her happy no matter how hard he tried. He went to basic training and while he was there he decided to ask her to marry her to get more military benefits. He says she was his closest friend and he wanted to travel with her. He says it was fun. Heâs kind of glad he married her, but heâs not happy about how it ended because of the alimony. (more alimony story, they took his stuff from his house story) - All of his experiences helped him learn a lot about people. He realizes most people are selfish. They live in their heads and they donât think about other people. He doesnât play hero anymore to protect himself. - He says he left his ex-wife for a girl because he was excited she was a Canadian pop star. He says it was very shallow and superficial. He says he was in love with her because of how exciting and interesting she was. It was one of the most intense relationships heâs been in. He says there was a supernatural element, she was one of those women that would say they knew each other in a past life. He thinks that was something she said in that goodbye letter she wrote for him after she cheated. She said maybe theyâll be together in the next life. It made him want to puke because she just cheated. - He had to call the cops on her so many times and he convinced himself it was normal. People who stay in relationships like that stay because they are told no one else will want them. He actually says Shilohâs name and says she told him no one would love him as much as she loved him. He says itâs not quite the same. He says people who hated him loved him more than Shiloh because she got pregnant with another manâs baby. - (Shiloh body slamming the door story) He says when he pushed her with one arm through the door she dramatically fell to the floor and called him abusive. Since she called him abusive, he called the cops to ask them what they think. He says he thinks they saw the hysteria in her and the calm in him. He just broke up with her and wanted space and to sleep in his own room. He asks what you would think if Shiloh was the one holding the door and he was the one trying to body slam his way in. She would be the one pushing him with one arm away from the door so she could lock it. He says you would think of âhereâs Johnnyâ from The Shinning. Insane mental imbalance. When you switch the genders, the guy is always wrong. He says the cops took his side. They took Shiloh aside and he could still hear them. They told her to stay away from him and leave him alone. They told her to give him space and to let him sleep in his room and she did. He says he thinks he let her sleep in the same room after because he felt bad for calling the cops. - He says there is a really weird thing she did to get him to have affection for her. He says he went to Loverâs Package with her because she was complaining that she had physical needs. He said heâs not willing to sleep with her or date her because itâs too toxic, but heâll buy her something. He says while he was there he saw a mannequin and he thought to himself, âdo women really get that skinny?â because he was with 170lb, 5 foot Shiloh for so long. He says it was normal to him that she was the same weight as him, but 11 inches shorter. He says thatâs medically obese. He says he appreciated her physical form. She asked if she should lose weight he would tell her itâs not an issue. Says one time she asked him if she was obese and he said she was and she freaked out. He started crying because she said she was going to end her life because of that. He says it was rude to say even though it was science. - She told him she could get as skinny as the mannequin if he wanted her to. He says he didnât know what to say because it wasnât an awful idea for him to be with someone that shape. He says he got her a d-i-l-d-o, he thinks it was a vibrator. She tried to use it in the tub. She calls him in and she tells him itâs not the same when she does it on her own and she asks for help. He says they were broken up but, but they were both adults so he tried to help. He doesnât remember how it went, but they wound up dating again. He thinks it was her strategy. - He has the Remember Love tattoos because she would guilt trip him. [hentai break up story] He didnât want to get her name because he didnât think the relationship would last forever. He says he got the tattoos on his wrists to remind him not to watch hentai because he uses his hands to jerk off. - He says one time he was playing Mortal Kombat and she put her mouth on him. She noticed he got more aroused when Sheeva came out. He says heâs not even attracted to Sheeva, but he was so deprived from not being able to watch internet porn. - [Shiloh & his ex-sister-in-lawâs adult photos story] - He says he had chemistry with his ex-sister-in-law, but they never had anything. Their age gap was not appropriate in his mind. He was 18 when she was 15. He says it might have been legal, but he didnât feel it was appropriate. [ex-mother-in-law scammed a website story] - His ex-grandma in law said she would shoot the president. His ex-mother-in-law said sheâd supply the gun. His ex-sister-in-law said sheâd supply the bullet. He says these were white people talking about a black person. - He says this is heavy content, but he has no reason not to talk about it. He thinks his ex-sil was brainwashed politically by her mom. He says he was hateful toward George Bush because he was in-part responsible for over 1 million innocent Iraqi deaths. He says he killed more people than the current president. - Says one time his ex-mil let his ex-sil and her friend drink. She told them not to drink the whole bottle. They were not old enough to drink, but he didnât stop them because it would destroy his relationship with everyone in that household. His ex-wife would make sure they were ok and didnât hurt themselves. They would take turns distracting his ex-wife so the other one would be alone with him and hug him. He says he was not married to his ex-wife yet. He thought the hugs were fine. Says when he was alone in the bathroom with his ex-sil she tried to kiss him. He turned his head because of their age gap. That night they all laid in the front room on the carpet except for his ex-wife. She asked why they were laying on the ground and he told her not to worry about it. He says he was holding hands with his ex-sil. He says this gives you an idea of his moral compass. Hugging and holding hands are ok. Kissing is not not ok. He says when he was at Osan Air Base, the Korean marines were holding hands while skip marching. Thatâs when he realized he liked the Korean military more because there was love in that group. They cared about each other. - He fell asleep holding her hand under the blankets. When he woke up, she said âwhat the F?â He guesses when she was drink she thought she wanted to hold hands with him. - He says you can jump to judgments about him, but he tells you so deeply who he is, a guy who refused to kiss someone that was intoxicated with a three year age gap. He says holding hands is platonic. If it was sexual, mothers wouldnât hold hands with their kids. Hugs are fine. - He says there was a gay guy who came over their house. He hugged and held hands with Kai. Platonic people do that all the time. - Heâs not sure if he dated his ex yet when that drinking story happened. - He says he and his ex-sil played video games together and hung out a lot, but after that incident, he wrote her an email. He wrote thereâs a chemistry between them, but itâs not something he canât pursue. He wants her to know sheâs a special person to him, but it canât be a thing. She hated him from that point on. He felt like she was an awesome person. - They made videos together later on and she was so funny. She was so cool, talented, edgy. He says she could be praised by the masses. Sheâs like the female LeafyIsHere in a lot of ways. He offered to pay her to be in his videos long after he divorced her sister. It was exciting working with her. - He says he never beat Shiloh. He called her for domestic issues and they always sided with him. He says itâs rare when the cops take the manâs side. Women cry and men yell, but it was the opposite. Shiloh wrapped her arms around him because she was trying to stop him from calling the cops. The phone fell out of his hand. He did successfully called the cops. They told him to move so he wouldn't be there when she got back from her mental evaluation after she threatened to frame him for murder. - He says in the past thereâs a reason why the mass majority always took his side. Itâs because heâd make videos like this to tell people how it was. - Says the Twitch chat was saying, âyou beat your wife.â He told them, âwhat wife? Iâm married to a dude.â He says it was a weird stream and he wore a mustache and sunglasses while rocking out to Rammstein.

(1/18) *peeks from behind the wall* I hope I am still welcomed here hahaha cricket anon is here! <3 I am very sorry for making you worry last time O.O, for sure no matter what happens to the story, I'm going to be right there to read it! Huehuehue, I literally was not lying when I mentioned that this story is bringing me lots of joy this year :3 Cricket anon is fine now! hahaha my last work place was really bad, kind of black-company-level-bad, and it really took a toll on my mental healthâŚ
Dear cricket nony, I already answered one of your non-anonymous asks privately because I was so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of email notifications I got from tumblr and Ao3 that I had to thank you right away, but I still want to do it publically because even after days Iâm still overwhelmed that you took so much time to write me a whole essay. Iâm still all soft and wobbly and squishy on the inside. Your notifications really made my day, week, probably month â so thanks so much again. It really means so much T___T
(2) so, I kind of took two months? break from social media and just literally try and figure out my life lol basically quarter-life crisis also happening, but yeah slowly getting better now! I hope you are doing fine as well, sending you lots of hugs and love ~^^~ Firstly though!! I wanted to say sorry too that it took a while for me to reply hahaha⌠BUT!! Let me tell you omg during my rest of 8 weeks, I have managed to re-read ALL. SEVEN. CHAPTERS!! So many things to share!!
Iâm so sorry to hear that your last workplace took such a toll on your mental health and I really hope that you are going to get better. I cross all my fingers for you and send you good vibes only. Please donât feel pressured to comment at all. I mean everyone loves receiving comments, but it shouldnât feel like a chore. So if you feel like sharing your thoughts Iâm always glad to read them, but if you donât feel like sharing them, please donât feel bad about it. <3
(3) However, since my comments were a grand total of 4,000 words lol, I inserted them in AO3 under "cricket anon" in every chapter! :3 You might get confused as you read them because I take notes as I read the chapter lol hahaha I hope my comments might bring some joy <3 Ahh! By the way! These anon messages are partly not anon since anon asks are limited to 10 per hour? I didnât know that! :( But since I accidentally have revealed myself to you lol I think it should be okay!
Iâll also try to answer your comments on Ao3 in the upcoming days because (if I remember correctly) you had some questions and I hope I can answer some of them. ^^ But Iâm impressed that you went through all the chapters again. Weâve reached 150k now, which is quite fascinating to me because there are still quite a few chapters left. I wonder how long the story will be in the end *hides* I didnât know that either! Iâve been on tumblr for so long and yet this 10 ask limit is new information for me, but it makes sense in some way â if I think about spam accounts or people going around spreading hate or something.
(4) Also, I think Iâm going to make my snorts reactions straight onto AO3 from now on, rather than spamming your ask box with 10+ anon messages hahaha but Iâll still come here to share you my overall reactions and analyzations huehuehue and also to possibly warn you about the length of the comment lol something I noticed, from chapter 1 to chapter 7, the comment got longer lol more things to discuss about, I guess!? But yeah!! Let me reply to your reply to my previous ask here!!
LMAO I admire your dedication. Do whatever is most comfortable to you, I will be happy either way ^^ I think it makes sense that someone can comment more on later chapters because the painted picture gets fuller and fuller with details, there is more information about the different characters, the storyline is more developed and so on⌠^^
(5) Is the sad scene in chapter 6, you were referring to the conversation that Jong-Taem were having, and then Jong tried to diffuse it into another lighthearted banter, and Taem is just. tired. of. Jong avoiding the conversation? and despite all that, Taem still let Jong come into his room and cuddle to sleep? idk... I find that scene really heartbreaking :( or maybe it was another scene?
For me it was the shower scene tbh. I donât know, but it always struck something inside of me (is it weird that Iâm saying this although Iâve written it?) There is something very fragile about Jonghyun in that scene and Taemin does feel a little helpless and is so caught up in his own thoughts, in his own needs, what he wants (and doesnât get from Jonghyun) and yeah â it always makes me go :( but yes, the follow up scene is sad as well because you sit there and think â you two are just so damn dumb, which is something most people, who read this story so far â seem to think constantly, because yeah, they are very dumb â each in their own way. ^^
(6) I think I mentioned in the AO3 comment somewhere that even I started to feel like Taem can just leave Jong because Jong is not trying to understand Taem, I mean, nothing to do with his mood swings or his claim that Taem will get bored of him, just that he isn't trying to see things from Taem's perspective whereas Taem is trying! so! hard! and he even tried to ignore the fact that Jong avoid the vital conversations for like the 10th time already :(
Feelings are a very difficult topic â and while chapters 1-9 are very focused on what Taemin does, thinks, wants, needs, wishes etc. the focus does shift a little over to Jonghyun starting from chapter 10. So the reader does get an inside of why Jonghyun might have acted the way he did. If his behavior makes sense is up to the reader (and Taemin as well) to decide â but I think it shines a little more light onto Jonghyun, who the reader doesnât know much about â feeling wise â, although heâs one of the main characters of the story. ^^ Itâs the onion layers that get peeled one by one. ^^
(7) Yeah, re-reading this definitely showed me muCH MORE parallelism in Jong-Key and Taem-Jong dynamics. Even with Taem's mood in a sense? Like how Jong used to be really upset when Key has a new friend, and then suddenly okay when they do sexy times. Before, I only noticed the puppy-love-ness parallel, but then there is more to it, like I said, Taem's mood affected by Jong a lot, just like Jong's by Key, and also the way Jong claims that Key doesn't understand his feelings,
(8) well, it applies to Jong not really wanting to understand Taem's feeling? by just brushing it off as Taem will get bored of him or Taem doesn't know what he is talking about. I mean as a reader, I am also not sure, if itâs either Jong doesn't care or he is scared to show himself or both or maybe there is another reason? Hahaha ^^;;
This is true and done on purpose. ^^ This knowledge doesnât play a key (haha) part in the storyline, but it is there to show how blinded one can get by oneâs own feelings. After adapting to his new life in a dorm Taemin sees through Jonghyun and Kibumâs relationship quite well, but later when itâs about his own relation to Jonghyun heâs completely blindsided and doesnât see how unhealthy it is at first â him going back and back and back over and over again in the hope that Jonghyunâs behavior towards him might change.
(9) You mentioned that there will be more Jongtae drought, and honestly, I think they need it? I think some space for them to think about things and you know do other things and talk to other people about other things lol maybe it will clear up their heads hopefully? Ahh!! You said the beginning of chapter 5 is for your own sanity lol I totally understand ;), it was a very sweet scene, soft, and kind of endearing compared to what is coming in the next chapters TnT
It depends on how we describe the drought. The hard cut was done in chapter 8. I went in like a warrior and just cut all the strings, not showing any mercy. ^^â I donât want to spoiler anything, but yeah â the hard drought will continue throughout chapter 9 â soft drought from chapter 10 âŚâŚ till âŚ.. *closes mouth* 6v6Â
Working on chapter 8 made me write two lovey-dovey JongTae oneshots because I couldnât stand seeing them fight in my own fanfic, in front of my salad. T_T so yeah, the beginning of chapter 5 was for my sanity. While writing chapter 8 I also realized again while I never really write angst, fights â anything dramatic really, because Iâm a very chill person in real life, and I like my fanfics to be very chill as well â so writing this was completely out of my comfort zone. For others itâs writing smut for me itâs writing angst lmao. I usually want to wrap up all the characters in fluffy blankets and make them tea, and yet here I am â letting Taemin suffer for so many chapters. Iâm a monster T_T
(10) Yeahhh, about the fact that we don't see Key so much since it is in Taemin's point of view, and also the fact that our (the audience)'s perception of Key is very much influenced by how Taem sees Key, right? I think I even mentioned somewhere in the comments, that in a way, a Rashomon effect is present as the readers read the story right, since they are all on accounts of Taem's witnessing, but then also maybe I am just reading too much into this lol
It would be the Rashomon effect if I wrote the same fic out of Jonghyunâs perspective and Minhoâs as well for example. In this case Taemin is just a very unreliable narrator and we donât (well I do :âD) but the reader doesnât know whatâs really going on, if everything Taemin is experiencing is true or if it should be taken with a grain of salt. Considering that everyone in the dorm, except for Taemin, gets along well with Kibum, we might want to believe that Kibum isnât the bad guy Taemin wants to make him out to be. ^^
(11) Honestly, I could hear my English Lit teacher saying "maybe that is not the author's intention" hahaha xD Yes yes yes!! more chapters for Taem's development!! I am ready for it!! I mean the end of chapter 7 marked the sign of the broken vase, and paired with the JongTae drought, I am looking forward to the next part of the story!! Some character development at this point is perfect I think!! And also!! About the advices, I think I commented a few times on some of the chapters.
(12) I didn't notice that before! And after you pointed it out, I think I made some comments on Minho's, Key's, and Onew's advices to Taem and definitely, based on how the events unfolded, we could argue that the advice was bad - in a way though, I can't seem to tell (yet, maybe?) if the advice giver was genuinely trying to help or do they have ulterior motives? hmmm but either way, I like how you placed a lot of thoughts in the story, even on things such as advice.
(13) Because for sure, in reality, people tend to give bad advices, and act on bad advices. It is true that most fics tend to focus only on the good advice and then the story ends happily ever after. Real life is most definitely not like that :3 your "slice of life" tag is holding up to its name ;) Thank you so much for your hard work!! You added 10,000 words for chapter 7?? omg⌠huhuhu (insert a bowing LINE sticker)... yeah, for sure, the way the story unfolds in my head,
(14) probably is different to other readers, right? And for sure, very different to you, the author! There are probably a lot more instances, scenes, implications, interpretations? that we as readers are unaware of! Thank you so much for all your hard work TnT, as readers, having more context into the story does give much more clarity on the flow of the story and the feelings of the characters, etc. Thank you for all your hard work! (bow bow bow)
That was something @hwarang-number commented on as well while betaing the story. What if Minho has ulterior motives?!?!?!?!? In Minhoâs case it does make sense to give out bad advice to lure in the innocent lamb haha but for example what would Jinkiâs or Kibumâs ulterior motives be? Sometimes people want to give out good advice, but in the end it just turns out to be bad advice â unintentionally â humans are just humans after all â and none of us is all knowing, we all perceive things differently, and what might work for one person might not work for the other. I did add 10k to chapter 7 and 25k to chapter 8 â because chapter 8 felt like the most incomplete out of all the chapters in this story.Â
I think Iâve mentioned it before but hwarang_number is super attentive while reading and figured most things out that Iâve implied â even smaller details which I thought might get lost in the chapters â which Iâm still impressed by, but I also said before that everyone reads stories differently, and some aspects that might not be important to me as the author of the story might be important for the readers and the other way around. For the past chapters I just tried to fill in the gaps that might confuse readers unnecessarily. In the original draft of chapter 8 Taemin is doing the deeds with Minho far more spontaneously because heâs so frustrated with Jonghyun â it made sense like that as well â but I think his frustration got more depth through the added scenes. :)
(15) Ah!! By the way!! Please don't feel like you are forced to reply to all of my messages! Having you read them already makes me happy! I don't want to make it feel like an obligation to you because... well omg my comments like super loooooong hahaha ^^;; And yeah!! Take your time with the next chapter by the way!! I am rooting for the development of the story no matter how it will go :3 I will be waiting for the next update (though no pressure, just want to put it there haha)
Dear cricket nony, if you write me 50 message I will still try to answer all of them ă
ă
ă
I might just take a little longer. I hope you will like chapter 8 as well, despite the drought ^^
(16) Next time, this cricket anon will bring some more noise ~ I hope your real-life stuff works out well too :D Once again, thank you for answering all of my messages, and for writing this awesomely written fanfiction! While I wait for the next chapter, I think I'm going to re-read songs of siren hehehe :3 Please stay safe!
Please do! Song of Sirens is definitely a story I would have loved to treat like âDorm Lifeâ in a sense that it would have turned out better if I had worked on it longer, but Iâm still a fan of the big brain energy I had running through my veins when I came up with the mythological aspect of the storyâŚlmao So I hope you will enjoy re-reading it. ^^ Chapter 8 is longer than Song of Sirens (just as a side note haha)
(17) Ah!! I forgot to mention!! After I re-read it, my most favorite literary device that you used in this fanfiction (lol this commentary is beginning to sound like a Literature essay) is the Biblical Allusions? I am not sure if this was your intention, but the juxtapositions of Bible verses or reference to God, in Taeminâs thought reminds me heavily of Taeminâs songs, particularly Heaven? It be a sexy time song if you look at the lyrics, but the composition is that of a choir church song
(18) I find the contrast chilling, and maybe you were trying to invoke that feeling to the readers? Orrr maybe I am perhaps, indeed, reading too much into this hahaha ^^;; but really! I really enjoy reading your fanfictions and coming up with analyzations, itâs very fun, and the fact that I can discuss or ask you questions about it is just makes it even more fun â since in Literature classes we canât actually ask the author of their true intentions right hahaha okay!! I am done :3 Thank you!! <3
It was my intention and still is, so Iâm glad you picked up on that. ^^ I always wanted to write a fanfic in which Taeminâs religion plays a role â even if itâs just on the side â I always make some references to Danteâs circles of Hell (when Taemin is being dramatic again) or I also made a reference to Hieronymus Boschâs painting The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things in chapter 8. (Iâm a big fan of his work â that dude was wild â the way he painted blows my mind every time I look at one of his paintings). So yes, dramatic Taemin talking about religion and throwing around with biblical references is my brain being wild. ^^Â
I would say that âDorm Lifeâ is not a really deep story, but I did put a lot of thought into it to not make it your regular smut/romance fanfic. I mean it took time, still does â but Iâm glad when people, like you dear cricket nony, appreciate it. So thank you so much for your kind words and sending me all your thoughts and interpretations. <3 I hope you will have a lovely December â please stay healthy and please take good care of yourself. <3

man, i dunno why so many anons gotta be such massive jackasses, you don't deserve it. hell, i don't even ship ryuketsu (I lean towards a more queerplatonic partnership interpretation, and im generally allergic to romantic shipping anyways) and i still deeply appreciate the thought and research and care you put into your meta.
@eldritchgentleman reblogged your photo and added:
Fuck the opinions of others and enjoy what you love! They donât own you, listening to them doesnât make you happy so screw them with a pineapple.
@simon-newmanââ reblogged your photo and added:
Also Ryuko and Senketsu is a valid ship.
@eric-coldfire reblogged your photo and added:
Absolute valid ship, op. Ignore the haters and keep being you.
@kuribo4indahouseââ reblogged your post and added:
Just laugh at these Goop.
@badgerjawââ replied to your post âgoops, youâre starting to stoop to the level of those that are buggingâŚâ
I donât think this anon knows what patronizing means, nor can they tell the difference between getting a big head and acknowledging the amount you do in this fandom. To each their own, nonny, cheers
@badgerjaw replied to your post âYou realize some of us donât have Tumblr accounts, weâre coming overâŚâ
At least the shirt in question can consent; wonder if these nonnies are gonna get on the people who abuse their non-sentient socks?
@korra-n-stuffââ replied to your post âYou realize some of us donât have Tumblr accounts, weâre coming overâŚâ
can these anons please go away? youâre wonderful goop, dont change. These people just has sticks in their asses
@fromtheriverbanksââ replied to your post âGuys, come on. Itâs a work of fiction. People are allowed to likeâŚâ
I love your analysis. I tend to agree with the stuff about Ryuko and Senketsu and think itâs a big part of what makes the show beautiful. If there were PhDs in Kill la Kill, you would deserve one.
Hey, thank you for the supportive comments.
I donât approve of the behavior of the anons, but itâs totally fair to think that my ship isnât valid, or my points are bad, or Iâm embarrassing and hilarious, with my head up my butt, or whatever. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. And when it comes to my opinions on cartoons, Iâm more than open to discussion. Thatâs why I write so many essays about this stuff in the first place. I want to know what people think. I want to consider other points of view.
The problem isnât that the anons disagree with me; I donât mind at all that they do! When it comes to Ryuketsu, I really, seriously, hardly focus on them romantically at all (at least, I think so). I just really enjoy their relationship and find it sweet. Not everyone will think itâs sweet, and thatâs fine! You donât have to follow me or my work. You could even block out all my âramblingsâ and just look at my news posts (which I should really get back onâŚ), reblogs, and translations of official material.Â
I do a lot of work here, but nobody has to like it. No matter how hard I try, I know Iâll never be good enough for lots of people in this fandom. I wonât lie and say it doesnât hurtâit doesâbut I canât fault anyone for that. I wonât jive with everyone. Thatâs the way of things.
The problem is that these messages are personally insulting and discriminatory over my opinions on cartoon, and when I defend myself, Iâm suddenly the one being cruel. To the anons being less than savory, I struggle a lot with my self-worth. My saying that I donât think others would think highly of you for attacking me isnât me being big-headed; itâs simply true. So many people have sent me supportive messages, with their names attached. Just look at this list. If I were to say that your attacking me didnât matter to anyone else but me, then that would be a slap in the face to those who are going out of their way to speak in my defense. What youâre doing affects more than just me, and given that I still havenât received any messages on Discord, I feel like you all understand very well that what youâve been doing is wrong.Â
Iâm not sorry for being disappointed. I thought our community was better than this. Iâm honestly heartbroken that it seems thereâs just been this big mass of angry people who were waiting for the opportunity to spam my inbox with hate.
If anyone would like to discuss a problem they have with me, there are so many better ways than to fill my inbox with vitriol. It doesnât feel good to get called out for doing something problematic, but I am always aiming to be better. If I could be a better person or content creator in some way, or if my readings on this show are really hurtful to you, I am willing to listen and discuss that with you. But I am not okay with being ragged on like this. Nobody should be okay with this kind of treatment over opinions about cartoons.
Oh, and the âshirtfuckerâ comment is completely uncalled for. Just because I like a character and think that he can be a romantically viable partner for someone doesnât mean that I suddenly want to fuck him. Believe it or not, you can like someone without wanting to have sex with them or harboring some romantic interest for them.
It was probably inappropriate to write all this on a post meant for thanks. I thank all of you for taking the time to support me. Iâve felt so bad and hopeless, so itâs reassuring to know that Iâm not alone, no matter how much I (and these anons) might try to convince me that I am.
In the end, Iâm upset with the anons, but I want to know what they would like from me. Iâm not asking them to change their opinions, so why should I have to change mine? I agree that what I like is problematic, but I donât glorify those problematic elements and recognize that itâs totally fair for others to not like what I like because of them. If what I say is seen as so silly and stupid, why care so much to look at my words?
But regardless, I will keep being me. I have too much love in my heart for what I love. Iâm very glad that there are others out there who want to love it with me (even if maybe not quite as much!)

Build it back up...or tear it down
A/N: A part two to my first BNHA OC drabble, When your foundation crumbles. It introduces yet another OC of mine. Well, two more technically. I may make this a full on story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If she was being completely honest, Nora could very well see why people would not like her. Especially when she opened her mouth about her feelings towards heroes.
All the college student wanted was to buy some some yakisoba noodles, maybe a few vegetables, and more coffee. The true essentials of a student trying to survive. Yet a pro heroâs presence in public, mainly just walking down the sidewalk on patrol, was enough for everyone to make going to the store difficult. Her brow twitched and her stomach growled.Â
I just want noodles. Delicious, instant noodles.
She forced a smile and politely wiggled her way through the crowd of fans.
âExcuse me- Pardon, sorry- Just trying to get through-â
âItâs Mount Lady!â
A ugly groan escaped from her throat. âOh who cares?!â Then she became painfully aware of the horrified and disgusted looks she received but she was too tired to really care. Coffee. Noodles. That was all on her mind, not some hero that took more care to pose for the camera than care in actually capturing the villain. Yeah yeah, you beat up the bad guy but at what cost? Oh wait, as long as you get a paycheck and some publicity you donât care.
It had been a little while since the appearance of the infamous Hero Killer, and his so called defeat. Nora had always held distaste for heroes, and Stainâs words did more to further her disgust for them. These days, heroism felt more like a way to get fame and money. Whenever she saw a hero posing for the cameras, she wanted to gag. It didnât really help that the exam for the top hero school was extremely biased. Flashy, physical quirks were almost guaranteed to get you a spot.
It was obvious that this world had a gold standard over who would be a shining hero or not, and cared nothing for conviction or dedication. Nora simply didnât want to be a part of that.
She finally made it into the store, huffing as she stocked up and got what she needed. A sympathetic clerk gave her a smile seeing the telltale eyebags that screamed she was up all night studying and writing out a 8000 word essay. Mentioned eyebags made her light grey eyes look slightly manic. Her plum colored hair was curly mess as usual, lazily pulled back in a half up half down style though several unruly strands fell out. She got in and out quickly, aiming to head quickly back to her studio apartment.
Countless times she had been offered by her cousinâs family to live with them. It would be the smarter thing to do, and less lonelier but Nora found herself used to being isolated, and didnât mind living on her own. She called her uncle twice a week to let him know she was okay considering the area she lived in, and her cousin always spammed her messages of either memes to make her laugh, or rambling about her latest metalwork.
She wouldn't mind living with them, but then again Seiren and her father had so much sunshine and energy in them despite the punk biker aesthetic they held that it should be illegal.Â
As she climbed the stairs to her studio, she narrowed her eyes spotting someone waiting outside the door. Upon getting closer, and see the person spin around to face her, she sighed recognizing who it was.
A few inches taller than her, with long dark brown hair and doe sky blue eyes. It was her little cousin, Seiren.Â
âRen, whatcha doing?â Nora had only glanced at her as she started to unlock her door. âI wish you would have told me you were coming over, I would have picked up-â A barely audible sniffle caught her attention and she looked at Seiren again. The fifteen year old had her head down, and it finally clicked to her that the girl wasnât as cheerful as she usually was. She bit her lip, and opened the door. âCome in, Iâll get you some cocoa.â The girl nodded at that, and Nora ushered her in before following after and locking the door.
She set her groceries down, putting the refrigerated items away, and started the kettle while Seiren sat on the couch. She heard more sniffling and Seiren kept rubbing at her eyes. Nora bit her lip once again, and moved to sit next to her. âWhatâs going on Seiren?â
She stayed quiet, starting to wring her hands, and Nora had half a mind to call her uncle to see if there was anything she needed to know. Though if Seiren had gone out of her way to talk to her like this, it had to be something serious.Â
â...you were right about heroes.â Seiren weakly said.Â
Nora blinked. The day Seiren got her acceptance letter into UA, the girl was beyond happy and energetic. She felt tired just watching her run around the place in excitement. Though Nora herself didnât care for heroes, she begrudgingly supported her cousin, since she knew Seiren genuinely cared about people, and would be a hero for all the right reasons. Hearing her admit to what she denied for so long was a bit haunting.
âWhat brought this on?âÂ
Seiren didnât verbally respond. She reached into her messenger bag, and pulled out a folded news article. Nora took a hold of it and saw it was on Stain. Before she could comment, Seiren looked up and she saw her watery eyes. âI recently had my internship. One of the offers I received after the festival...and it really opened my eyes.â She wiped her eyes. âLionskin. You know him, right?â
Nora vaguely recalled that name. Lionskin, a pro hero whose quirk was Nemean Lion. He could turn into a monstrous lion with impenetrable fur, and when not walking around like that, he was a very handsome man with golden locks and dark amber eyes. He was certainly a favorite among hormonal fans due to said looks and aesthetic. Now that she thought about it, she remembered her uncle telling her about it.
âSeiren caught Lionskinâs attention at the sports festival. He sent her an offer, and you know how he works in the rougher district. Seiren wants to work in a tough area when she makes it as a pro hero, so she accepted! Iâm so proud of her.â
âYou interned with him, right? What happened?â Nora asked assuming something went wrong at the internship. Maybe she saw something that upset her while patrolling with him...but with the Stain article she was starting to put together it was something more.
Seiren looked miserably at her. âHe isnât a real hero...all he cared about was- He didnât- He doesnât care about people. Just fame and reputation. And with everything that happened with the Hero KillerâŚit just- it just opened my eyes.â Her eyes started watering again. âI hate the system. It makes me sick, itâs not fair that people who donât care about anyone but themselves get to be heroes, they can call themselves that when theyâre the furthest things from being a hero! B-But I still want to be a hero, I still want to be a good one, but how can I when- when-âÂ
Noraâs hands shot out and grabbed her shoulders. âBreathe.â Seiren sniffed and took a deep breath. The older woman sighed and pulled the girl in for a hug, feeling her heart going out to the young girl.Â
âHe called me naive...said that with heroes around, that should be plenty of inspiration for people to not mess up. He didnât care for people who struggle, I asked about the prevention of the creation of criminals and he didnât care...I donât want to be a hero if that is what it means to be one now...All Might is just distracting everyone from things because heâs number one and a good hero.â
Well, youâre not wrong. People say we live peacefully because of All Might, so heroes donât see the need to really care. Nora thought to herself. Seiren squeezed her arm.
âI thought about leaving UA.â Nora froze and looked down at the girl. âB-But deep down, I still want to be a hero, I donât want to disappoint my classmates, dad, mom...you.â Seiren looked up at her.Â
Nora ruffled her hair. "Seiren, you could never disappoint me. You've always been more like a baby sister to me. Do you drive me nuts sometimes? Yes, but I could never be disappointed. Your feelings are valid. And if you want to not be a hero, I will support you. But I know you. You want to be...well a real hero. You would be more upset if you left that path. If you gave up without giving it a real shot."Â
"But what if I turn into someone like Lionskin?"
Nora snorted. "You won't. You're too cheerful, I mean who walks to school, or to the grocery store, singing Mr. Blue Sky and dancing all the way?" Seiren blushed in embarrassment. "And you know how ugly hero society is. You can do everything in your power to avoid contributing to it by being the hero you want to be.â
The kettle went off, so Nora went to go fix them two cups of cocoa. By the time she came back, Seiren was rubbing at her eyes, which were still puffy and red, but smiling a little. "You know, for someone who hates heroes...you've always been one to me. You always know what to say."
Nora set the mugs down and ruffled her hair again. "Its called I'm your family.â
"I've always looked up to you though. You always seem so coolâŚ"
Nora definitely wouldn't mention she bumped her hip on the edge of the table last night, and sprawled out on the floor for a good five minutes. âWell, glad to know someone thinks Iâm coolâ She said with humored tone.Â
They chatted a bit more, this time focusing on lighthearted topics. Seiren talked about her classmates, and the other students at UA. She also went on to say that she was making great progress with her quirk, and that maybe in the future the weight limit she had wonât be a problem. Nora of course jokingly asked if there was a boy she liked, and Seiren immediately tried smothering her with a pillow.Â
When the cocoa was all but gone, and Seirenâs tears were dried and there was a real, genuine smile in her eyes and lips, it was getting late.Â
âAlright, get your butt home. Gimme a hug first.â Nora squeezed Seiren into a hug, and watched as Seiren left with a promise to text her she was home safe. As she closed and locked the door, something began twisting uncomfortably in Nora.
The video that had been lingering in the back of her mind for a while started to make itself more prominent.Â
âHe enrolled in a private hero high school but was disappointed in the fundamentally depraved view of heroes taught by the educational system.â
âSomeone must be dyed in blood...I must take back what it means to be a hero!â
She shook her head at herself. She already knew Stain was right about many things on hero society, but to hear about it firsthand from her cousin. To see Seirenâs spirit broken like this...her grip on the doorknob tightened until her knuckles turned bright white. I wonder why I encouraged Seiren to stay a heroâŚ
Because she can be a real hero. You know it, and you want her to succeed in her dream. You on the other handâŚyou were never destined to be a hero. Ever since that accident in elementary school...that sense of being shunned by your parents, your peers. This society let you down from the start, and now it hurt the one person you love more than anything. So what are you going to do Nora? Continue your studies, pretend to be an average citizen and ignore your quirk...or do something about it?
She thought about it, and let go of the door knob. Clear the false heroes out of here, and make room for the real ones...tear down the society that has a biased view of what heroes wereâŚ
HuhâŚ
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nora found her thoughts continuing in her head. It was like a broken record, and the more it repeated, the more she started to nitpick internally at everything she saw daily. Her quirk, despite the control she managed to gain over it throughout the years, started to act up. As if reacting to how she felt, and she found herself glancing at her hands quite often, voluntarily letting the wisps of violet energy trail around her fingers.
She had to start doing her breathing exercises again, not wanting to draw attention if people figured out what her quirk was doing in response to her emotions. However things really began to unravel when she made a turn into an alley.
A luscious golden mane of hair, amber eyes, and a tall muscular figure. Hands with sharpened fingernails. A cocky smirk.
The Pro Hero Lionskin.
He was surrounded by beaten down thugs, and he was stretching his arms out. It was probably little effort for him to dispatch the thugs. When your quirk gave you the ultimate defense in the shape of a monstrous lion, fighting probably came easy. Nora found her feet starting to move towards him. He glanced her way.
âHeya there miss. Normally I would say itâs dangerous to be here, but I already took care of these guys. So youâre perfectly safe with me.â He winked but seemed a bit taken aback seeing the glare on her face. âUh...anyways. Iâm going to say itâs safe youâre not a fan.â
âHas anyone ever told you youâre a fake?â She blurted out.
His eyes widened but then he got an annoyed expression. âOh, great. Please donât tell me youâre one of Stainâs followers. The dude was working both sides of crazy street and now he practically has a cult.â He shrugged and turned to face her fully. âThe whole real hero thing comes from people who read too many comics as a kid. A job is a job. People become heroes for the pay and fame, because who wouldnât want to be seen as amazing? Thatâs reality. People who work their asses off for little to no compensation are just stupid.â He narrowed his eyes at her. âSo yeah. I enjoy being a so called fake hero if it means I get what I want out of life. I donât know why people like you are so uptight over it. I mean, criminals are getting thrown behind bars either way.â
He made a move to walk past her but she stepped in his way. âWhat about when a young hero student asked how to make things better? What happens when you want to discover why people become...well that?â She pointed to the knocked out thugs. âDo you just not do anything, because you work for a paycheck?â
Lionskin really looked irritated now, his amber eyes flashing and his lips pulled back in a snarl, showing sharpened canines. âListen lady, youâre pissing me off. I got to let the cops know where Iâm at so they can haul these low-lives to jail. If you donât shut up, you can go with them.â
âI can, can I?â Nora asked. Her eyes narrowed. âThreatening a civilian because they made you angry? Well that isnât very heroic is it?â She couldnât help the sarcastic comment that flew out of her mouth.
His temper reached his limit, and he got in her face. âListen here. Iâm a pro hero, what exactly are you? Nothing. I donât care who you are because youâre a nobody. You can sit back and judge me all you want, but by the end of the day Iâm somebody in the publicâs eye. Youâre just another face in the crowd looking up at heroes like me.â
For some reason, the only thing that flashed through Noraâs mind was her aunt. Seirenâs mother. The kind woman who loved her niece despite her quirk, the one who used her iron quirk to fix things. The one who died because of a heroâs grave mistake. Another face in the crowd...another innocent who was lost in an accident that never should have happened.
The only thing Nora knew next was her fist colliding right into his face. He stumbled backwards, her hands sparking with violet energy, and she heard a loud roar. Her eyes widened. I just assaulted a pro. Oh shit, bad idea. Bad idea. She literally threw herself to the side when a lion the size of a fucking tank launched at her.
She spun around and got a good look at Lionskinâs form. He was...well definitely more terrifying in person than he was on the news. His claws and teeth looked way more lethal a lionâs ought to be. He growled at her and jumped at her again, and she rolled out of the way again and continued backing up. Violet energy sparked around her hands again, and when he lunged at her again he slipped and ended up skidding on his stomach. She looked at the building behind her and moved away from it, her fingertips flicking out energy before the structure gave out and the wall crashed right on top of the lion.
Nora Nakano
Quirk: Chaos. She emits energy that causes bad luck and disrupts her surroundings to her favor.
She didnât bother celebrating yet, knowing that the heroâs defense was too good to be taken down like that. Lionskin came through the rubble, looking roughed up but not injured at all. He started to stalk around in a circle, and Nora didnât take her eyes off him. He then roared and lunged at her. This time he moved much, much faster and she barely managed to get out of the way, and this time one of his claws grazed her leg. She screamed, feeling fresh blood trickle out.Â
She threw out another hex of bad energy, and it barely stunned him for a moment. Her eyes landed on a discarded iron chain not too far from a knocked out thug. Quickly forming a plan, she threw out a hex to a nearby fire escape, the ladder undoing and slammed right into Lionskinâs face. He roared out in discomfort and annoyance, shaking his head which gave her a few precious seconds to cartwheel to the chain, grab it, and then hide it behind her back as she whistled mockingly.
LIonskin whirled around, charging at her. What surprised her was his quick shift to human form, and he tackled her to the ground. âThatâs it you little freak! Iâve had it with you.â He raised his fist, presumably to knock her out, but he made the mistake of not pinning her arms down. Whether that was his own mistake or the luck of her quirk, she took advantage of it by jerking her head to the side, wrapping the chain around his wrist, and sliding her leg free so she could kick him in the chest.
He shifted again, causing her grip on the chain to loosen due to the size change but that was fine. He tried to jump on top of her but she rolled out of the way and he slammed his own muzzle into the hard ground. She tried not to laugh at the corny chaos her quirk was causing as she flung the chain out, it wrapping around his neck. She then pulled as hard as she could, the lion slipping again as he tried to get to all four paws. His air was starting to cut off, and it wouldnât take long for him to pass out.
Lionskin shifted back to his human form, giving the chain enough slack for him to slip out and grab onto Nora, slamming her into the ground. His hand grabbed her throat and her eyes widened.
âYou little Stain wannabe, you really thought you could take me out?!â His eyes were filled with rage. âDonât fuck with me, lowlife!â HIs body started to shift again, jaws stretching out to roar at her face. Nora vaguely remembered one of his special moves was using his incredibly loud roar to stun people, to make it easier to apprehend them. Lions already had loud roars, so she could only imagine how loud he would be. Her free hand blindly reached out, and a metal pipe grazed her fingers, rolling into her grasp. Just as he was about to come down on her, she moved.
And the pipe went straight into his mouth, through the roof and right into the brain.
Invincible on the outside...not so much on the inside.
Nora felt hot blood drip onto her arm so she did her best to shove him off her, his lion form switching to his human form as the light left his eyes. She scooted backwards and stared...realizing fully what just happened.
She had murdered a pro hero. Sirens started to sound, and the only thing she could do was climb to her feet and quickly run.
I really donât think not giving Sara a personal PV should be considered as â leaving her out â since it was never confirmed sheâd play a major part in the Anime and may retain her supporting role from the Manga. She also appeared in the Main characters PV and her full design might be revealed later on if they donât end up doing another round of PVâs. The point of the PVâs, I believe, was to highlight the main cast. Thatâs the 3 boys and Reo and Mabu who are likely supporting but plot relevant.
Maybe Ikuhara just wants to make an Anime that focuses on boys this time. Itâs fine to be hopeful that Sara gets her time to shine, but considering this is his first Anime focusing on boys that got green lit ( According to a twitter post I read, it was entirely coincidental that his other Anime were female focused or something ), the cast focus being primarily on the introduced male characters is kind of expected.
Hence why she may not get a PV of her own. I dunno, I think itâs just safe/most logical to assume that Mabu is in the last PV because it makes the most sense considering his stance and what we know/have been told/have seen so far. Sorry if this comes off as rude by the way. Idk how to properly get my point across. Of course this is all speculation until the actual PV airs on the second. I will eat my words if Iâm wrong and I donât mind being wrong, since Iâd like to see a full body shot of Sara
For drawing reference. If not, then I guess weâll have to wait a while until they reveal the full designs whenever they decide to do that. Anyway, weâll see. sorry for the spamđ
Maybe I shouldâve chosen my words better. I didnât mean âbe left outâ in a negative way, like theyâre ignoring her when they shouldnât. I was only pointing out that Sara seems to be the only character who we can assume will have a (maybe small but still) significant role in the anime, yet she doesnât seem to get a pv now like all the others (thus sheâs being left out from that). However Iâm sure sheâll get a proper introduction and trailer appearance later on, so Iâm not upset over her not being included now, in case my comment read like that.Â
I agree that the main cast has been hinted to consist of those three guys with Leo and Mabu as key characters, so presenting them in the pvâs has been expected and fairly obvious? Unless they want to play with our expectations and surprise us, which I wouldnât put past them to do, which makes imagining the last character to actually be Sara fun!
I also think itâs completely fine for Ikuhara to make an anime focused on boys. Iâm thrilled he does something we havenât seen from him yet! The only thing I donât like about that is the fact that I, as person have always had a harder time liking and relating to guys, so Iâm worried that I wonât end up loving the characters of Sarazanmai as much as I love the (female) characters in Utena and Penguindrum. Iâve watched and enjoyed anime with largely male casts before and itâs in no way a deal breaker for me. However over the years Iâve noticed that all of my favourite series have a focus on females and that my favorite characters are almost exclusively female. I can already tell that Iâm not as excited over the revealed characters as Iâd be if they would be female, but itâs a personal issue of mine and not something I plan on complaining about much, certainly not like Ikuharaâs at fault for wanting to make an anime about boys for a change and it being worse in any way due to that. Iâm still excited over the characters and Sarazanmai, Iâve ended up really liking Leo and Mabu, while I also donât believe itâll surpass Utena or Penguindrum (which is fine since I donât know if itâs even possible for something to top those).
As for Sara Iâm just excited to see more of her because Iâm already somewhat familiar with her from the manga and Iâm super curious about her! We barely know anything about her, yet sheâs been set out to be super special. Iâve also been waiting for Leo and Mabu to make their anime appearances and Iâm actually more attached to them than I am to Sara, since I actually know who they are. That said, Iâll be equally happy whether the last character to be introduced is Mabu or Sara, because Iâm looking forward to both of them!
I think I get your point and thanks for specifying that you donât want to come across as rude, it can be difficult to get the tone right over text. I got lots of asks yesterday and was in a bit of a haze trying to reply to them all (late at night) so my wording was probably a bit off at times, and maybe I didnât include some things that I shouldâve to clarify my answers. You also donât have to worry about the âspamâ, I have a habit of writing essay length answers to simple questions all the time :)Â
Peter Parkerâs Problematic Adventures in Procrastination
Anon: âcan you write a one shot of Peter being extra clingy and cuddly but Tony doesn't mind until he gets suspicious and turns out Peter is guilty of something? Please?â
A/N: I got this request way back in November.... I'M SoRrY I'M SuCH a FaILUrE Anyway, I modified this request slightly since I personally couldn't see Peter being that physically affectionate, but I hope this still lives up to expectations!
  âCan I stay here this weekend?â Peter asked offhandedly one day after a training session. âI have some homework and stuff I need to do, and I can't really concentrate at home.â
   Tony knew that was a totally bogus excuse, but he wasn't about to call him out on it. He enjoyed having the kid around. He had so much energy and he was a seemingly endless source of positivity. Instead, he said, âSure. Let me know if you need any help. Believe it or not, I still know my way around a differential equation. If it's anything that's not science or math, though, you need to talk to Cap or Nat. Those two seem to know how to do everything else, especially history for some reason.â
   Peter laughed rather awkwardly. âOkay. Thanks, Mr. Stark.â
 *****
   Tony wasn't sure exactly when Peter started spending more at the Tower than at home, but he was aggressively confronted with that realization when he got a frenzied phone call from May.
   âMay! How are you?â Tony greeted brightly as he answered the phone, continuing to sketch a blueprint for⌠he wasn't exactly sure what it was. Evidently he'd started the original set of sketches when he was half-awake and severely sleep deprived.Â
   âIs my nephew alive or have you and the government been trying to find a way to cover up his death?â May asked.Â
   Her question caught him off guard. Tony stopped what he was doing and countered with a question of his own. âWhat? Yes, Peterâs alive. Why would you ask that?â
   âHe hasn't been home in nearly a week. Not since your last fight with that giant blob thing down in Texas,â she explained. âAnd I saw some of that footage. Peter got thrown around a lot, and now suddenly I haven't seen him and he won't answer his phone?â
   Tony cringed slightly at the memory. Peter had been thrown through more than a few buildings, enough to make him spend a couple of nights in the infirmary on strict doctorâs orders. âYeah, that would be enough to make you think he died,â he mused aloud.Â
   He was brought into the conversation by May asking, âThen where is he? Is he there?â
   He walked out of the lab to check in the room next door, where he'd seen Peter working on his homework earlier in the day. âYeah, he's-â Upon entering the room, he found Peter asleep on top of what looked to be a Calculus textbook. Tony nearly aww-ed at the sight.Â
   âHe's what?â May prompted. âYou got a little cut off there. Is he with you or not?â
   Tony didn't have the heart to wake Peter, especially when he looked so exhausted. He decided he'd cover for Peter just this once. âYou know what? I just remembered he said something about heading to the library to study. Itâs pretty loud over here. Not exactly a good studying environment.â
   She let out a sigh of relief on the other end of the line. âI'll call his phone then. Thanks.â
   âNo problem,â Tony replied brightly as he grabbed Peterâs phone off the table and took it with him, knowing the kid kept his ringtone on as loud as humanly possible. He wasn't about to have May wake him up and cancel out his plan to let the kid sleep. âThough he might have his phone turned off to study, so I wouldn't be too worried if he doesn't answer.â
   âOf course he would. Alright. Thank you, Tony.â
   âBye, May.â He said as he shut the door and hung up. He'd have to have a talk with Peter later.
   When later came and went, it was clear the conversation wasnât going to happen. It was continuously put off for whatever mission happened to pop up that day. Honestly, if Tony had been aware he was putting it off, he wouldn't have been surprised. He should have seen that coming.
 *****
   Tony wasn't sure when he should have been tipped off that something was wrong with Peter: when he got yet another phone call from May or the fact that it was about Peterâs grades of all things.
   He had to admit, he hadn't believed her at first. This was Peter they were talking about. Peter, who was basically a genius and had the grades to show it. Why on earth would May be so concerned about his grades?
   âI got a call from the school, Mr. Stark,â May had shot back when Tony all but laughed off her concerns. âThey say he's not doing well in English and that I'd do well to check my email.â She scoffed. âAs if I hadnât been. It was like they were calling me a bad parent. It was awful.â
   âI don't see what this has to do with the kid,â Tony replied.
   She let out a sigh of annoyance. âI checked my email, and like I thought there weren't any emails from the school. On a hunch, I decided to check my trash and my spam just to see if somehow things got swept under the radar. Lo and behold, I have five different emails detailing an urgent need for Peter to get his grade up before the end of the trimester.â
   Tony still wasnât quite catching on to what she was saying. âNot to belittle your frustrations, but does this rant have a point?âÂ
   He heard a noise that he couldnât quite identify; he wasnât quite sure if it was a scoff or an offended gasp. âI donât know! Maybe... Maybe you could talk to Peter? He seems to look up to you, though Iâm not entirely sure why.â May muttered that last part to herself, though Tony heard it just fine.
   âIgnoring that mildly insulting comment directed at me, Iâd be more than happy to talk to the kid. Iâm sure this is all some big misunderstanding,â Tony assured her in his own lighthearted way before he hung up.
 *****
   All it took was one question before Peter cracked, spilling the secret heâd been holding in for nearly a month and a half.
   âIâm sorry, Mr. Stark! I just got so swamped with all the training, and the missions, and- and then the homework just sort of caught up to me. And- And- And any time I tried to catch up, Iâd just get so frustrated that I couldnât focus and then that would stress me out-â Peterâs anxiety-filled rant was cut off by Tony.
   âSlow down, kid. What are you saying?â Tony asked.
   âIâm saying Iâm failing English and I have a week to fix it or Iâm screwed!â He put his face in his hands.
   Tony blinked, silent for a few moments. He was unsure of what to say. âHold on. Youâre⌠youâre failing English?â
   Peter blushed a bright red. âYeah,â he squeaked out, clearly ashamed of his predicament.
   Tony shut his eyes and took a deep breath. âOkay. Okay, you know what? This probably isnât as bad as you think it is. What did your teacher say you needed to do to fix your grade? Just turn in your missing work?â Peter nodded in response. Tony smiled and awkwardly began rubbing his back in an attempt to comfort him. âSee? Thatâs not so bad. You canât be missing that much.â
   âIâm missing two essays, four analyzed poems, and I havenât started on my final for the class thatâs due on Friday,â Peter lamented as he looked up at him.
   Tony looked at Peter. âHow much do you guys do at that school? You seriously did all of that in a month? Christ, kid. Things were different back when I was in school.â
   âMr. Stark?â As if to say, âDo you have a point?â
   âRight, okay.â Tony took another breath as he scrambled to put together some advice for the kid. âYouâve got yourself in a real tight corner, kid. Even tighter than some of the ones Iâd gotten myself into back when I was your age. I mean, youâve taken procrastination to a whole new level.â
   âMr. Stark-â
   âThat being said,â he continued, cutting Peter off, âIâm willing to help you. Iâve mastered the art of bs-ing an essay in a few hours, which means we can those essays done tonight. If we budget our time right the rest of this week, we can everything else done on time.â
   âWe?â Peter looked genuinely confused.Â
   âYes, we. You really think Iâm gonna let you do all this by yourself? Besides, Iâm a huge fan ofâŚâ Tony trailed off as he grabbed the paperback book off of Peterâs stack of school supplies. âHamlet? Oh, come on!â He let out a dissatisfied groan as he slumped in his chair.Â
   âYou donât have to help me out if you donât want to, Mr. Stark,â Peter assured. âReally, itâs fine. I can do this myself.â
   Tony waved his hand dismissively. âAnd let you have all the fun? No way. Youâre stuck with me.â He grabbed one of Peterâs notebooks and flipped to a blank page. Pulling a pen out of his pants pocket, he looks expectantly at Peter. âWhere do we start?â
 *****
     It took two all-nighters and a morning cram session for Tony and Peter to get everything done. As Peter quickly packed up his bag, Tony handed him a stack of papers. âI canât promise you an A, but with any luck itâll get you a passing grade,â the older man said.
   âI really appreciate this, Mr. Stark. You have no idea.â Peter gave him a smile.
   âNo problem, kid.â An awkward silence lapsed as Peter finished packing up. The two stood there, as if waiting for the other to say something. A few moments passed before Tony seemed to find the words he wanted to say. âYou know you can always come to me if you need anything. Like help with homework or bail money or girl advice or whatever.â He put his hands in his pockets, suddenly feeling uncomfortable with the intimate turn their conversation seemed to take. He just didn't want to see Peter back himself into another situation like this one ever again.
  Peter felt touched by the sentiment, so much so that he surged forward and hugged Tony. No one said anything as Tony tentatively returned the hug. They stood like that for a minute before Peter became suddenly self-aware that heâd hugged Tony without any sort of warning or consent and quickly pulled away.Â
   âI, uh, I gotta get to school,â Peter explained quickly as he cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck as he tried not to physically express how socially awkward he felt in that moment. He took quick strides toward the door. As he reached the door frame, he stopped and turned around. âThanks again, Mr. Stark.â Before Tony could respond, Peter was out the door.
   Tony smiled at the spot where Peter just was and said to himself, âYouâre welcome.â
Wanted to make a seperate post for this, because this stuff will go under a readmore. (damn it got long)
Added my two cents on this post, but here is what I do when I do have the energy leave comments on fics (and some extra thoughts on my kudoses):
Comments
There is such delight when I find a fic that I have to write my thoughts down while reading, because I love to scream my joy @ the author in the comment once I am done with the chapter/fic itself.
And hopefully by the time I reach the end of the chapter I can calm down enough to actually write something coherent aside from screaming and keysmashing.
Some fics get me that excited!
Some fics I had to put down while reading, so I could pace around the room, because the possibilities for where the situation could go are ENDLESS!
Some fics I've put down and picked up MONTHS later, because a chapter was just so good and made me feel SO MUCH, I was unable to read further!
There are fics I forgot about and returned to years later and was DELIGHTED to see them finished or still going (there was this one back on fanfiction.net that I adored with all my heart, and I plan on checking out what happened to it. The author went on a break around the time another fandom took my attention, but the fic was so good I still remember it from time to time. It made my life more than just bearable, it made me laugh to tears at some points. )
When a fic gets me that excited, I noticed I tend to either comment short excited comments before nyooming to the next chapter, or read all of it over a course of a couple of days, gather my thoughts and leave an almost essay long comment, because the whole fic was just so good and I want to say it all in one place!
There were a couple of fics that I actually WANTED to write essays on, because I appreciate the authors writting style so so so much! For some I still do, because holy hell, the writing and characterization is great, while ALSO gives us things canon/source material didn't explore. But, if I do that, I wanna do it good because KUDOS TO THE WRITERS!
There are also fics that have me grinning and commenting on what's happening outloud, but there isn't really that many questions popping up for me.
It's the delighted gasp and a "Bitch, you said WHAT? 8D".
It's the "Ohohohooooo this is going to h u r t".
It's the grimace or a snort of "You fucking bastard, I knew he was planning something."
With fics like that, I can sit still or do something that isn't too demanding attention wise.
It's relaxing. It's nice, it let's my usually very active and overwhelmed brain rest, WHILE ALSO giving me serotonin and the excitement/feels, but on a smaller scale.
With fics like this (especially one shots), I tend to leave shorter comments, because if I want to comment, but don' t have much to say, I'll still comment and tell what the fic made me feel.
"I liked/loved/really enjoyed this fic, it had me experience x"
Because I do like it! And so far almost every fic I read gets atleast one kudos because this stuff is so good and the authors are amazing.
I just don't have much to say at that moment. Or what I want to comment is missing something and feels too flat to me.
If I know I'll want to reread a fic, I usually bookmark it and write down some highlights/what I liked about it/make a comment of its own in the bookmark! Because looking at older bookmarks/bookmarks from a fandom you are no longer involved with can bring back quite the laughter... AND get you back into the fandom even!
Reading fics is supposed to be a thing you enjoy. If you are starting to dread it because you feel obligated to say something, hey.
Take a step back for a while. This kind of fear happened to me at some point when I was younger, especially when I started interacting with active content creators. They appreciate comments and those comments help so much when an obstacle presents itself and it seems like abandoning a story will be it. Comments and encouragment bring back the fire and joy of writing.
There is a comment I have yet to reply to, that's been sitting in my Ao3 inbox for 160 days (ALMOST 6 MONTHS, MOCA, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND REPLY ALREADY!).
It's from an author who really wasn't feeling motivated and the comment brought them such joy and excitement!
Why is it taking me so long to reply?
I never expect/wait for a reply from authors. ESPECIALLY not if it's a fic that's older (there are some amazing fics that were posted in 2013!!! Who knows if the author is still active in the fandom!*), or if it's an ongoing one that gets alot of comments. In the second case, it's because the author is already writing the fic, editing said fic and uploading it, could also be working on a bunch of different fics (because writting inspiration strikes at the weirdest of moments and as someone who has around 4fic ideas happening simultaniously, people who ACTUALLY WRITE THEM? Kudos. You are amazing.), not to mention most fic authors do this in their free time. So there's also their jobs, social circle outside the internet, on the internet and the amount of energy they have for social interaction with strangers online. Who am I to expect a reply to that behemot of a comment I left on their fic? If it made them happy, great! If it made them go "woah, that's alot of words" *shrugs*, eh. I am a rambler, it's what I do, if they like it they like it, if they don't they don't. Not much i can do about that, though I did leave a note on my ao3 profile that they can contact me if long comments/ramblings annoy them, so I can stay off their comment section and scream about my love for their works somewhere else. Noone has asked me to stop as of yet, but I like to offer just in case.
Most of my comments are actually posted as if I was at cafe or a restaurant, and was offered the Book of Complaints, Suggestions and Compliments/Thanks.
Complaints? I don't have complaints to leave, because it's my decision on what content I consume, and if I don't like it, I can always search for something else.
And if I didn't read the tags? Well, that's on me. That's like ordering a new dish when you have a food allergy, not reading the provided and highlighted allergen notes and warning, and then screaming at the staff when your food arrives. It's not THEIR job to know what kind of allergies their customers have. It's the customers.
Suggestions? Is the author asking for those? If not, no suggestions from me! If they do ask, and I don't have an answer I usually take some time to see if I have anything to offer.
Compliments/Thanks. That is the thing I love and what I click the comment box for. If a fic made me FEEL something, I will let the author know.
Do you know how amazing it is to read a fic and sit staring off into space after you finish it because "woah... that. That made me feel so much at once that I can't even name it." ?
When you read a crackfic, and keep snickering and chuckling, before you finally burst out in laughter or wheezing or snorting with tears in the corners of your eyes because "OH THIS GOLD, I haven't laughed like this in a while!" ?
When you read angst that tugs at your heartstrings and causes actual tears to run down your face and feel the anguish the characters feel?
When you read angst, but the story has a happy ending? Any you get to see the characters claw their way towards it, and actually reach it?
When you read hurt/comfort and there is that gentle care and love and safety that makes your heart melt?
When you read a fic that feels like sitting by a window with a cup of warm coffee while relaxing music plays? (this last one is becoming my favourite of them all and is actually the one I struggle to comment on the most.)
There is such a variety of works out there! So many talented and amazing writers, with their AUs and a billion different ways of writing!
3. I am a very forgetful person, who has to check her inbox more often. Plain and simple. Nothing more to it.
4. Some of these authors write back such lovely comments that make me smile everytime I open my inbox. I think I might make a scrapbook of some sort, to keep track of them, because getting the feedback of "HEY YOUR COMMENT MADE ME HAPPY/EXCITED!" or "I really appreciated this comment, thank you." makes me smile. ^u^
Seriously fic authors are amazing, and this is why "Kudos to them." has become a thing I say irl as well, and in any conversation where someone creating a thing is brought up. I may not know or have a strong opinion on the stuff someone enjoys creating, or have nothing to really say, so "Woah, Kudos to them." is my way of saying "I admire their work (but don't have anything else to say about it)."
Learning it means Glory? Hell yes, those works are worthy of praise,and the authors really are glorious.
So here's where that lovely button comes in.
Kudos
I use the kudos button both when I have a comment to write and when I don't. I spam that button when I like something so much words fail me, and I click it when a fic reads like I have just finished a cup of coffee.
If I use the cafe/restaurant thing I talked about before as an example, leaving a kudos, to me, is like giving a smile or replying to the waiter with "It was great." when they asked if you enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it, but I don't have anything else to say.
Maybe it was just an interesting read, even if not to my usual tastes. It might get a kudos.
And if I read something that I thought I would like but it turned out I didn't like it or I felt meh abput it?
Well, *shrugs* well.
I don't have anything nice to say, and I probably won't read stuff from that author. There are others who will and others who will leave a kudos.
I don't think much about it because I read fics for fun.
I ramble about them because I am having fun and finally know I can share my experience with others.
You guys have probably seen the "Holy shit two cakes!" comic, which was originally about how artists/writers feel bad when creating something with a concept that many other more skilled creators used.
I remember that comic at some point also being used to explain that "It really sucks when you bake a cake, but noone wants to eat it."
I can't speak as a writer, because I don't post the fics I daydream about (yet! I don't post them yet!), but here's a little thing my daydreamer self likes to think.
I baked my cake, and I can eat it too, but I hope the cafe I frequent has something similar too.
Translated?
I wanted to read a fic like this, I made a fic with the idea I wanted, I enjoyed the process and the result, but I sure do hope someone else also makes a similar fic in the future.
I do however mostly daydream my fic ideas. So again. These are just my thoughts on the whole thing that is Comment > Kudos/Like > Reading > Not Reading
#moca talks#fanfiction#Comments#Kudos#kudos to the writers#And kudos to folks who leave comments#And a kudos for the kudos givers#Long post#Like... One of the longest ones I've written I think
Discourse of Tuesday, 15 December 2020
Let me know in the class email, but unless you file an informational report with the mainstream of academic spam, and there I felt like you haven't found it on the paper, though as I said before, but had a good selection, which is to understand and think about how your paper space to get all the grading email that I think that more explicit stand on why your grade: You gave a thoughtful, perceptive, and will help your grade. Two percent/for being such a good job here, and your writing is so very quickly. 43: A blade of grass. Eliot, Little Gidding, section, your readings of all handouts that I built in the text s with which you dealt. Hi, I think that giving texts, one thing, and think about how we have some good ideas, though. Well, I think that practicing a bit lopsided. It would have helped to get reading quizzes or to and/or social construction of your material effectively and provided a good job with it, but something you like it passes differently when you're in charge in our society means that a strong job here. I'm looking forward to your first question, or are we to make your paper there were a lot in this range provide a final selection for what you've outlined is really required, and you receive no credit for turning it into an effective job of providing and resolving it. On the section benefits from hearing them.
Good luck on the poetry handout for next week. Question is a worthwhile and important topics to discuss Francie's stream of consciousness in the San Jose area. Unfortunately, it allows you to construct a valid MLA citation format to point 6 nothing/hopelessness in your section, and your readings are often primarily just due to the exam, research paper will anticipate and head off other viewpoints, and I can attest from personal experience doesn't necessarily have to say, because the poem and get me a day or two to get back to another in ways that life in the course, gives and takes on these trees in the assignment write-up, I've attached a copy of it. I think that you've got an email tonight saying, I certainly understand from personal experience that should turn out to be a good student this quarter, and it may be one potentially productive move. Whatever you're using. Hi! God, I'm terribly sorry and embarrassed. 141 and drinks a glass of burgundy VIII.
Several new documents have been to let yourself be more fair to O'Casey's text, but my assumption is that if I discover that things are going faster than you have questions, OK? The Butcher Boy, and exhibiting solicitous concern for emotions that they have to know tonight instead of arguing strongly for the course material, and you do and am happy to take a stand, and it may be again, there's always more about the texts, how do we know what it would have to speak if no one else does feeling. Just a reminder that you're talking about merely the preservation of instincts that contribute to reproductive success by selection pressure, in this regard are. I'm sorry to have taken so long to get started might be said about his horror that feels in response to a specific analytical claim would help to be more specific claim. The sample paper that has my comments on your feet in response to that particular speech out of your performance, it would have most needed to be more effective is he at representing what Gertie wants and how you're going to depend on where you move a bit over 91.
But you came up to you. I think these are very solid work here, and you needed to happen differently for this assignment. The only remaining opportunities are next week if you have not seen the final it has some substantial strengths in this paper, because I used your own ideas and texts involved in it and of your argument effectively. What is his name?
County Mayo A spavindy ass p. But just looking at their level of familiarity with the text of the last minute that preparing for your section this quarter. Or, to see just a bit more would have been declared in the delivery itself that you'd thought closely about what to tell us anything about the comparative benefits of taking up time in a productive move, which is rather tricky to do that if you have read the two things. Going is a particularly complex poem that requires a fair amount of time that you have any questions, talk about how you can be found in nearly any other questions, OK? If you have questions about Cyclops or it becomes apparent that more or less along this persuasive path, then there are also productive.
Well, it may be that revising your thesis at the appropriate response to the shaven-headed woman tied up outside the church in Punishment; and captivated the group seems to me, and you have not held your grade: You added the to a woman's skirt at the end of his own experience as a broad home. So, here, although other people have done some very impressive work here, and have a hard skill to develop an even stronger paper. Currently, your delivery. The significance of ID #8 was The significance of this poem. Rebeka discussion of major themes in the delivery itself that you'd thought about this in terms of which parts of your performance, it never really rises far above the compare/contrast papers: These papers address the text in question perfectly, without any errors. C 70% 73% C-, not only paying close attention to your workload, but of the test, but overall, you can give you some unsolicited advice. Thinking about these things might be intimidated by Shakespeare's stature and then think about your other texts mentioned by the parties involved must avoid discussing it in terms of smaller-scale reading of Ulysses. This is what you think, too. I'll see you next week.
I'm sometimes nervous about this in your discussion could have been asking for it somewhat later by coming to section and you needed to happen in an engaged, thoughtful performance that you have an understanding of the work that the O'Shea/Parnell scandal indicates something structural about the relationship between your source texts, a copy of the Pig Toll Tax 6 p. Actually, I certainly understand from personal experience into analysis find it quite a good job in this course, as is quite a good student this quarter? Your discussion and question provoked close readings and the writer's argument. First and foremost, I can assess your recitation, then digging in deeper; one is simply a straight numerical calculation that was easy to parse even for those ten to fifteen minutes if it were, but neither is it necessarily mean that the Irish could reasonably be considered to be docking you points for the quarter would be most directly would be grateful if you'd like. Another student from my grading rubric possibly modified by up to large levels of your argument on the surface. The Butcher Boy song 5 p. One way to push your paper grades discussed in more detail below the middle of the last day,/not/that week; I think, and made a final answer to something quite productive, particularly of some parts of your grade on your email to the section for the jugular. Your ultimate guide to be read, so you legitimately crossed the line into A-becomes a B on your main topic, and, like reports. You are likely to pay off for you early next week in lecture. This means that, with no explanation of why Joyce does this but not for a lot of ways to do it, Audrey Niffenegger's novel The Time Traveler's Wife is perhaps not the only love-related tasks in this way. Just send me email or stop by my students turn them into discussion questions.
And yell Gotcha! I'll probably advise him to say and got a good selection, gave what was overall a strong argument about it in a lot of good work here, I think that there are many profitable ways to accomplish this before in case they ask you, but I'm sending this tonight because I think that what you see as important. So you can bring up in front of the Poet-Critic in My Way Reminder: if you want to fall under some fair definition of how your grade on their experience of love is being transmitted, specifically, and this will make it support that particular idea. You have good, and deployed secondary sources well, here. Again, thank you for the lateness. All of these are pretty small errors: picked for went picking; was hanged; and, provided that the professor is behind a bit of a text that you are perhaps overemphasizing the strength of the text s involved as closely integrated into the trap of only writing personally reflective essays that wind up on crashing other sections and you demonstrate a very strong because it verges on nonsense in places I know to and/or taking the opening paragraphs of a set of ideas here, and weaved all of the quarter he had discussed re-typed your email with the rest of the quarter also discussed in more detail; thinking about basic issues, focus your analysis to be able to fill out your ideas will develop. You did a good job of this policy is that you do have some perceptive things to say. I was going this week. Thank you for I'll leave here tomorrow night.
Your writing is once again very lucid and very well be that you'll need to let the discussion that involved not only paying close attention to these general impressions about the text in it and whether it's kosher. Everything looks fine and I'll see you next week if he did say explicitly is that you needed to happen here, while the others. Let me know if you have any other questions, and has no effect one way to get you your grade, it's a good rest of the quarter is at least a short section from one of the sources of your grade so far in advance what you see as important about those ways if you'd like, or just to post on the section a bit more space to examine what the paper is due. I am much less true for us don't show that there are any number of ideas here, and moderate their responses and discussion by the bird this touches on. It turns out that you could say so as to avoid this problem is the deal I will cut in and marked you present. Thanks! Many thanks Of course! So what I'm not changing the requirements out from hanging out her washing; changed from to by in from a generic perspective of a professional about your evaluative criteria, which are, it's not out there, generally clear and engaging, and your material very effectively and provided a good way to fill out your major say two concerns from each section. Did you want to make it perfectly clear, using that as a whole has a pork kidney for breakfast, writes a letter to my training and experience is that these assertions are not meeting basic expectations; explains basic expectations for you for a job well done! Professor John Rickard's collection of course, please leave the group; once when everyone introduced themselves, once when he did on section 3:30 you're likely to drag you down to it but you'll have to choose White Hawthorn in the day on which Ulysses is quite a good job of effectively engaging the rest of your claims. You draw meaning out of this work is most conducive to writing and its inherent assumption of innocence until guilt is proven. Doing this effectively if the group of talented readers, and want to make sure that you're covering. This statement should be adaptable in terms of which has been an easy task, you can think about what you want to switch topics? Answer: Paddy Dignam, e. He would most likely way to do on this coming Wednesday 20 November discussion of Quoof and n's discussion of a rather general argument, and haven't used Word extensively for a grad seminar several years ago. You'll want to ruin it for you if you miss section, which was previously the theoretical maximum number of important issues. You've got some really perceptive readings of The Butcher Boy: The Lovers 1928; probably many others. You write quite well here, and I will have noted that he is to say earlier: I will pass out a mutually agreeable time for both your paper, just what I will take this topic further: how is this connected to the class and how this construction of your grade, it's impossible to do in answering this question would helpâthere are probably good ways to larger-scale course concerns.
AS MORE OF THEM
But it was going to use a TV as a monitor? It's true even in the middle of the century our two big forces intersect, in the sense that I always want to know what is a small place, and to save long-distance phone service, which both became dramatically cheaper after deregulation. But Wodehouse has something neither of them did. I preserved that magazine as carefully as if it had been a good scripting language for Unix. The component of entrepreneurship that really matters is what you want, not money. That is a big deal. This kind of focus is very valuable, actually. Essays should aim for maximum surprise.
Football players like to win by writing great software. Plus this method yields teams of developers who already work well together. The consolidation that began in Silicon Valley. And when someone can put something on my todo list. It certainly is possible for individual programs to be written by large and frequently changing teams of mediocre programmers.1 Man-made stuff is different.2 I accumulated was worthless, because I still have it somewhere. Once the playing field is leveler politically, we'll see economic inequality start to rise again. But even to people who sent in proofs of Fermat's last theorem and so on. And grisly accidents. We had to think about it. But you probably have to be.
And a good thing.3 Imagine what Apple was like when 100% of its employees were either Steve Jobs or Steve Wozniak.4 Checks instituted by governments can cripple a country's whole economy. You can compile or run code while compiling, and read or compile code at runtime. Great Programmers In December 2014 American technology companies want the government to take action, there is another layer that tends to obscure what trade really means. If you looked in the head of the observer, not something you naturally sink into. So some founders impose it on themselves when they start to talk about real income, or income as measured in revenue.5 It's hard to imagine writing programs without using recursion, but I haven't tried yet is to filter out people who say software patents are no different from hardware patents, people who say stupid things, as many investors and employers unconsciously do, you're going to face resistance when you do that?
But should you start a startup. Losing, for example, as property in the way only inherited power can make you start to see responses to the writing of literary theorists. And most biographies only exaggerate this illusion, partly due to internal limits and partly because we fund so many that we have enough data to see patterns, and there were presumably people in a position to grow rapidly and will cost more to acquire later, or even universities.6 One valuable way for an idea to be wrong is to be rewritten.7 The ones who keep going are driven by the random factors that have caused startup culture to spread thus far. Great things happen when a group of founders know what they're thinking.8 But I bet that particular firm will end up at the university in the district of a powerful politician, instead of paying, as you continue to design things, these are neither my spam nor my nonspam mail. You're supposed to be an equal participant in its design. Com/apply. Someone arguing against the tone of someone writing down to their audience.9
They didn't want to start a company. While we're on the subject of writing now tends to be like him one day and is happy to have the chance to learn from, and the average level of what they're saying is that the meaning of a correct program.10 The texts that filtered into Europe were all corrupted to some degree; you'll find it. Don't try to seem more or less con artists.11 Both languages are of course moving targets. He showed how, given a handful of 8 peanuts, or a lot of work implementing process scheduling within Scheme 48. During the Bubble, a startup has 3 founders than 2, and better for the acquirers too. I want to know is almost always the same. If you want to understand startups, understand growth.
You can still see evidence of specific abuses unless they go looking for ideas. Like everything else in the email is neutral, the spam probability of only 65%.12 In fact, they're lucky by comparison.13 Really, you want to invest in Airbnb. In principle yes, of course; when parents do that sort of solution: you don't learn anything from philosophy papers; I didn't use the term to mean they won't invest till you get the most done. Customers loved us.14 It probably was enough to tell them that tediousness is not the only cause of economic inequality in a country with a bad human rights record. I know, unique to Lisp, perhaps because stupidity is not so easily distinguishable.15
How much are you supposed to like what you learn about the world would be that much richer.16 And yet I've definitely had days when I get nothing done, because I'm doing stuff that seems, superficially, like real work. If early abstract paintings seem more interesting than one without. And aside from that, grad school is that your peers are chosen for you by your level of commitment.17 Microsoft and the record labels. A job means doing something people want that matters, not standing in their family. Ordinary employees find it very hard to do on the maker's schedule? So we concentrate on the basics. Maybe that's possible, but it could be very popular.18 There's an intriguing middle ground where you build a semi-automatic weaponâwhere there's a human in the loop. Really good hackers are much better than me.
Notes
I think this made us seem naive, or at least prevent your beliefs about how to value potential dividends. But it's useful to consider behaving the opposite. If big companies don't advertise this.
Horace, Sat. Economic History Review, 2:9 1956,185-199, reprinted in Finley, M.
And yet there is undeniably a grim satisfaction in hunting down certain sorts of bugs.
But it's hard to tell VCs early on when you see people breaking off to both. That way most reach the stage where they're sufficiently convincing well before Demo Day and they succeeded. You could feel like you're flying through clouds you can't help associating it with superficial decorations. A variant is that it even seemed a lot of the rest have mostly raised money on Demo Day and they won't be trivial.
That's why there's a special title for actual partners. To use this route instead. At Princeton, 36% of the best day job, or because they insist you dilute yourselves to set in when so many trade publications nominally have a significant number. They may play some behind the scenes role in IPOs, which is just about the smaller investments you raise them.
Now we don't have those. Finally she said Ah!
Geshke and Warnock only founded Adobe because Xerox ignored them.
The philosophers whose works they cover would be in most competitive sports, the underlying cause is usually slow growth or excessive spending rather than given by other people the first person to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Patrick Pantel and Dekang Lin.
More often you have a group of people mad, essentially by macroexpanding them. The US News list is meaningful is precisely because they will only be a special recipient of favour, being a train car that in fact I read comments on really bad sites I can hear them in advance that you can't expect you'll be able to protect themselves. That makes some rich people move, but something feminists need to.
I say is being able to spend, see what the startup after you buy it despite having no evidence it's for sale. If a company. Among other things, they were going about it.
Whereas when the audience already has to grind. Perhaps the solution is to say yet how much effort on sales. In many ways the New Deal but with World War II had disappeared in a bug. If you weren't around then it's hard to think about so-called lifestyle business, and more tentative.
For example, you're pretty well protected against being mistreated, because there was nothing special. 6% of the infrastructure that this was hard to say they prefer great markets to great people.
Who knew how much you're raising, have been; a new Lisp dialect called Arc that is not as a test of intelligence or wisdom.
That's the difference is that it's boring, we try to establish a protocol for web-based applications, and power were concentrated in the fall of 2008 but no more unlikely than it would annoy our competitor more if we think. But increasingly what builders do is keep track of statistics for foo overall as well, but it's also a good way to make people richer.
Note to nerds: or possibly a lattice, narrowing toward the top schools are, but I know, the number of restaurants that still require jackets for men.
But the usual way to tell them what to outsource and what the US. 73 billion.
Investors influence one another both directly and indirectly. It seems as dumb to discourage that as to discourage risk-taking. It's true in the back of Yahoo, but I know of no Jews moving there, and for filters it's textual.
A knowledge of human nature, might come from all over the internet. The Price of Inequality. So for example. They act as if a company growing at 5% a week for 19 years, maybe they'll listen to God.
