Love how ostensibly King the Land is a fanciful little romance show starring kpop idols but then every other episode they say something about the ill treatment of employees under corporations and the indecency of the executives and it's just like huh ?? Okay!!!

Just starting the last 2 episodes and while I knew Lenin would appear (thanks, Tumblr), it’s still the funniest f***ing thing to happen so far.

Introducing himself as Vladimir Ulyanov, and then a moment later slipping in his patronymic Ilyich … 😚👌

Fun fact: Lenin was born in 1870, making him the same age as Anna (if she’s 19 in s1). And, he was an assistant to a lawyer in St. Pete in 1894/5!

He was also possibly quarter Jewish on his mother’s side, but it’s contested. Either way he was obviously a big time atheist.

Anyway, s3 (if it happens) better not go into anti-socialist politics and annoy the shit out of me. Lenin was the GOAT, and witbd and s&r, and imperialism are amazing texts.

Just found out today that my friend posts fanfiction as well.

She told me, nervously, that she posts her writing. And I was like oh! me too!

The duration of our conversation included giggling and talking about our fandoms like maniacs.

The best feeling is when you’re able to invite a friend into your secret world of fandoms and fanfiction.

I get an email notification from AO3 every time I get kudos or comments on my fics. I receive those emails while I'm at my soul-sucking day job.

It is a blinding flash of pure joy and delight and love, that floats me along for the rest of the day (and several days after).
