my boyfriend came home from work last night and was absolutely shaking out of his skin with excitement so i was worried he’d secretly found another rabbit and snuck it into the house or something lol
he waited patiently as i moaned and groaned to sit up on the couch to greet him so he could tell me he purchased a shirt for me
and not just any shirt
he found the exact soft waffle knit henley that i’ve been wearing nearly nonstop for weeks after finding it at the thrift store
he got it on sale and in my favorite color (black) and got one of the last four that were available in my size
and it will be here in a few days :o)

Autistic Anime Boys Tournament Bracket
Heeey guys! It’s finally time for our next tournament! Get ready to pit all your favorite autistic anime* boys against one another~ 😈😈😈 The same rules as the autistic anime girls poll apply here, but I will reiterate them below.
*Note: I understand that the term ‘anime’ does not, semantically, apply to every character that I will allow into the poll—I am simply using the term in a general manner, because it is quick to say and widely recognized. Characters from print media (i.e. manga, manhwa, manhua), ‘anime-style’ webcomics and games/visual novels, and from non-Japanese East Asian animation like donghua and hanguk aeni are welcome as well.
No western media, unless the characters are deliberately designed in an 'anime-style’ (ex: in the past, I have allowed characters from things like DDLC). It can't be a temporary or one-off gag style-change either. It must be the series' regular artstyle. Judging this will be my subjective opinion, but I am going to be excluding animation that stylistically toes the line (sorry AtLA and VLD fans).
Don't submit Shigeo Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100. His autism swag is too powerful and iconic, so I've decided he will be the mascot of this tourney. The winner of the poll will be rewarded with a special exhibition match against Mob. 👍👍
The characters do not need to be canonically autistic. Headcanons are perfectly fine.
You can submit as many characters as you like, but do not submit the same character multiple times.
Submit characters through the designated Google form. Any sent through asks/messages/any other means will be ignored and you’ll be kindly redirected to the form. Just keeps things more organized this way.
Don't be a dick if your fav loses. Please. Let's all be civil here and have a good time. Doing tumblr polls is entirely for fun!
Definitely send propaganda for the contestants! I love hearing people infodump about their favs.
This time around, I will not make submitting propaganda a requirement on the form, but it does significantly increase your character’s chances of getting into the bracket.
I will attempt to be more selective for this poll, to avoid an enormous bracket like last time (I just have a tendency to get attached to submissions and can’t help but let in as many as I can 😅), but I won’t officially decide on the number of competitors until after submissions close.
Good luck! May the best boy win!
SUBMISSIONS OPEN NOV. 28TH – JAN. 2ND

Most of my hinata headcanons are based on the fact that most people write him pretty shallowly- as nothing more than his height and love of volleyball, his need to fly, and the fact he's friendly. The really well written stuff writes him well, as a kind of enigma, but even then, one of his main traits is: Oh, he's pure sunshine!! His eyes shone with pride and determination, a hunger to win; to fly, etc, etc. Right? With most ships, it's just about how beautiful he looks in the sunset/sunrise with his hair and eyes. My point is that he's mischaracterized without really being mischaracterized because it's all *true*. he is absolutely gorgeous, and he does have a hunger to win and fly, and volleyball is his entire world, but there's sooooo much more still.
Normally, I hc him according to canon; according to scenes from the manga/anime, and then further analyzing it, yk? But I *truly* think hinata shoyo would be a good liar and hard to read.
It's already somewhat canon that people find him confusing, in the fact that he's a people pleaser and switches up really quickly to make people happy. He'll say something, and then someone will disagree, and he'll immediately switch up so that person won't dislike him for his different opinion, ykwim?
And then people never know what he's thinking, either. He's completely oblivious to his own feelings but is hyper aware of other people's feelings. He doesn't notice when he's running a fever of 102° but notices that someone has 2/5 symptoms of the flu 💀💀 like my guy can remember suuuuper specific details about a person's life, like the day their great aunt's cat died, but forgets his own bday.
He's actually really smart, but he's failing all his classes bc he can't focus. I think he'd be really good at math, but really only with like decimals and uhh money math, like he's good at calculating tax and saving money, but that's bc he grew up especially poor and had to be cautious with money. He'd probably be better with Japanese literature than English literature bc obvi that's his native language, and I think he'd really like linguistics post Brazil.
But, he also has his signature death stare, and I kinda came up with a hc based off it; since we all agree he has adhd, a part of it is zoning out, and i think he'll sit hunched over like L and just do his little death stare out to nothing or nowhere in particular, or will sit on his bed zoned out doing the death stare out towards the door, with the lights off, and someone will walk in and scream. He just randomly hunches over like L sometimes, and daichi will tell him that it's bad for his back, and he'll say, "But it's comfy :(" actually I think I'm just writing autistic hinata rn oopsies it's ok tho we love autism hcs here!!
Since he's really small (probably underweight actually), he can fit into really small spaces, and he thinks they're comfy (me guys). But at the same time, he loves big fields and gyms bc he likes to run around. Basically, he says and does really conflicting things, and it confuses people, which is another reason he was bullied in middle school.
He started doing the death stare as a defense mechanism in middle school actually, bc older, taller kids tried to use that to their advantage and bully him, but glaring at them weird made them walk away. Also, contrary to popular belief, I hc he can fight. So many people have just decided he's, like, too weak to fight or smth?? Like they think he can't defend himself physically, which I personally think he could, but yk, anxiety, so he doesn't. Like my guy is an athlete, have you seen him?? He may be small, but if he wasn't frozen in fear and anxiety, he could beat someone's ass!!
I said before I actually do think he could lie, bc one again, he's a people pleaser, and I feel like once when he was a kid, a family friend or someone or like when he was at a friend's house, they made dinner and he didn't like it, so he lied about liking it, but the person knew he lied and called him out on it and he cried bc he lied abt liking it and lying is bad, but also telling them he didn't like the food is rude, which is also bad. So then he decided he'd learn how to lie. Also, ik he uses his height and baby face to his advantage!! ***Depending on the person*** he can get away with just about anything bc "🥺🥺🥺" and then when everybody else calls him out for it he's like "L fuck you hehehe 😜💪💪" Like he drew a 🍆 pp on the wall or something once and then blamed it on kageyama and the teacher believed him.
And even though he's a people pleaser, he's managed to find peace in playing pranks and being mean, in a normal teenager way ofc, because suga helped him come out of his shell (suga purely bc he is mischievous but still responsible and nice)(and then suga asks Asahi why he can't be like hinata bc Asahi can barely even write with pencil on a desk, let alone sharpie anything so 'vulgar' on school property (it's not *just* because he's scared bc it's vulgar it's also bc he doesn't think those kinds of jokes are funny, and simply doesn't understand why writing on school property is fun (that's how I feel, idk 🤷♂️🤷♂️) ))
BTW, guys, half of these are to spite my friend who calls hinata a "bean 🥺" even though she's not on Tumblr. Also, I think I'm gonna start organizing these kinds of posts so they're easier to read, haha. Does anyone want any character specific hc posts since I always do hinata?
#hes lowkey bipolar??? mb if thats offensive in any way i mean that in the sense that everything about him is always changing#his music sense#his sense of style#his personality#all of it changes quite quick#haikyuu#haikyuu!!#hinata shouyou#hinata shoyo#hq hinata#hinata shoyo angst#autistic hinata shoyo#adhd#adhd hinata shoyo#autism#btw im both!!

The Philadelphia Inquirer published an article about Carl the Collector's Pennsylvania influence!
A new character is making his big debut — and children’s television history — this week on PBS Kids.
Carl happens to be the Collector, a bighearted little raccoon on the autism spectrum, who along with one of his animated furry friends, will be the network’s first neurodiverse central characters in a series created for children ages 4 to 8. The creators behind the show hope real children will see themselves in Carl and his friends.
For local viewers, Fuzzytown — the home of Carl and his crew — may look familiar.
That’s because it’s Narberth.
“Narberth is a big part of it,” said Zachariah OHora, creator of Carl the Collector and an award-winning author and illustrator of children’s books.
OHora, who’s lived in the Montgomery County borough for the past 16 years, basically mapped out Narberth for the show’s animators, from its houses to its downtown, the regional rail station, the library, even the iconic old clock. “Anybody who’s been here, if they see the show, they’ll recognize right away that’s where it is.”
OHora is well-known to some parents for his beloved kids’ books, like My Cousin Momo. Originally from New Hampshire, he lives in Narberth with his wife , their two teen sons, and a dog named Waffles.
Some of the seeds for Carl the Collector were sown about a decade ago when OHora’s sons attended Belmont Hills Elementary, a Lower Merion school where children with special needs get additional services and help but attend class with their general education peers as much as possible.
“It was just a lightbulb moment for me,” said OHora. “My kids were just friends with everybody right out of the gate. It took away any kind of stigma or mystery and normalized that people are different, operate differently, and think differently.”
It was very different from the schools he grew up with.
“I was like, ‘This is the way it should be.’”
Around that time, Carl the character had begun stirring in OHora’s imagination. And then a contact he had made at PBS approached the children’s author to see if he might have any interesting program ideas.
The series, premiering Thursday, breaks new ground for the children’s network. While other shows have had neurodivergent characters, PBS Kids officials say this is the first time they are the stars.
“Representation is critical to our mission, and we’re proud to debut the PBS Kids series to feature central characters on the autism spectrum,” said Sara DeWitt, senior vice president and general manager of PBS Kids. “We always say we want our content to be both a mirror and a window: showcasing characters who reflect their lived experiences and introducing audiences to kids who are different from them.
“Carl the Collector builds on this commitment by portraying a close group of neurodivergent and neurotypical friends, modeling how all of us can be helpful, supportive, and appreciative of each other’s ways of thinking, and importantly, how we can all sow seeds of empathy and understanding for one another.”
The show puts that into practice both on and off the screen. In addition to Carl the raccoon and Lotta the fox, both on the autism spectrum like an estimated one in 36 children, according to the CDC, the series has a character with ADHD and others with their own unique challenges.
Meanwhile, the show’s production team includes neurodiverse writers, animators, advisers, and others. The voices for Carl and Lotta are provided by two children on the autism spectrum. Some of the staff have contributed their own experiences in the making of the show.
For Lisa Whittick, the series director and mother of a son on the spectrum, working on Carl the Collector has brought her professional and personal lives together in a meaningful way. She said it would have been helpful if a show like this was around when her son was younger.
“If a show like this had been out back then when he was growing up, I think he would have been diagnosed a lot earlier because we would have seen some of the traits that we are reflecting in Carl and Lotta,” Whittick said. “It also would have alleviated a lot of the stress and unknown around what the diagnosis meant and not be scared of it.”
She thinks the show will help children both on the spectrum and those who are not.
“I think this series is going to go a long way in teaching kids who are neurotypical empathy and learning what autism looks like,” she said. “I absolutely think my son would have benefited greatly from a show like this, and he would have loved it because it’s actually very funny and fun as well.”
And, of course, there is the Philadelphia-area angle in all of this. And what’s Philly without a cool, weird mascot?
“There’s a pizza place that the kids always eat in, and it’s called Pyramid Pizza,” OHora said. “An arm comes out and it’s a pizza yeti, who is one of my favorite characters in there that fans of Gritty and the Phanatic will love.”
Philadelphia gets its props, too.
Carl lives with his mom in Fuzzytown, but he also spends part of his time with his dad, who lives in an apartment in a nearby city that will seem a whole lot like Philly, with perhaps a whiff of Brooklyn, another city where OHora has lived.
Carl’s mom and dad, who aren’t married, are great co-parents, OHora said. Having two rooms in different homes can be a challenge for a youngster on the spectrum like Carl, he added, as it can also require adjustment for neurotypical kids. It’s just another way children may see themselves or kids they know in the series.
That’s one of OHora’s hopes for the show.
“I hope people love it and they love Carl,” he said. “I hope it spreads empathy for neurodiversity, and I hope that neurodiverse kids and caretakers see themselves in it, and that neurotypical people can understand a little bit more.”
(Looks like I was wrong, Carl's parents ARE divorced, not just separated)

"I ship you with..."+2004 The Batman!
"'M Chantal, ENTP. I'm a pansexual girl slightly inclined towards liking men. I'm shorter than average for my age, and a huge sweet tooth. I see myself as confident, unconventional, carefree but lazy devil-may-care. As much as I crave social interaction, I struggle to find a common topic to converse with others. With friends I'm open, dramatic, a bit of a rambler and love to prank/scare them. I'm not very fond of physical touch and flinch at contact from even someone as close as my mother. I am really patient and understanding. I hate confrontation, but won't hesitate to rebuke even if my ideas are most likely wrong.I fall on the autism spectrum and have ADHD symptoms; I takes pride in my strange little interests, but have a short attention span and often fail to read the room, as well as struggling with basic etiquette, especially saying sorry. I love making art, and also am a writer. I'm a huge advocate for animal welfare, and find myself especially fond of dogs."
I ship you with...
Joker!
He absofuckinglutely adores you.
He adores everything about you for that matter.
Will rest his arm on top of your head just to get a small rise out of you.
Which may I add he also adores how cute but also sexy you look when angry.
If you show any signs of discomfort or flinch at his touch, he'll respect it.
Sometimes he might forget but will apologize profusely afterword's.
If you don't accept his apology in words, he'll try win back your affections with sweets.
Accept his apology before he starts going more insane please-
I think what really sets off the spark between the both of you is just how polar opposites attract.
While yes you both come off as confident, unconventional, and even a little carefree, you both still even one another out.
If you're ever interacting with the other rogues and you start struggling with communication, he'll gladly step in and take the heat off you so you can get your bearings back.
Same with confrontation.
Your both like good villain, bad villain.
He's the walking definition of, "They asked for no pickles."
Dude loves to gossip with you.
Especially hearing you talk.
The dramatics is a specialty of his so he loves how you gossip and talk to him about things.
Thrilled when you tell him about how much you enjoy playing a few harmless pranks.
Defiantly goes overboard at times when asking you to assist him in a most recent prank he wants to pull on the batman but as long as you have fun and laugh about it, it's worth it in his eyes.
He will listen to your interests when you talk and share them to him.
He's keeping a mental note of everything you say about yourself.
Silly guy loves you more than anything.
Might take him a couple days but once he realizes he loves you, he's telling you almost immediately.
If you happen to slip up during some serious moment or don't read the room, he'll try and make it less embarrassing by adding onto whatever it was you said.
He struggles with basic etiquette as well somedays but I think you too could both work it out before the day is over.
Very supportive of your little hobbies in art and writing.
Probably has attempted once of twice in making you some art work or a love poem.
Key word being attempted.
Don't be surprised if one day he just hands you a random puppy and then walks away without a word.
Don't ask how or where he got the dog.

I am sure a lot of people who follow me know this already, so maybe I don't really need to say it, but my brain is fixating so I need to make it clear.
(All of what I say next apply only to me, not speaking for anyone else)
I describe regression as my brain getting more "shut off" from everything, the outside world, my own body signals. I also describe having not enough "brain capacity" for so many skills, so if I focus on one thing, I will likely lose another thing.
When I talk of "regaining" skills (from regression), I do not mean I can "reverse" regression. I cannot make my brain open up again, it is permanently more "shut off" than before. I just mean I can sometimes work on specific skills to make them "stronger" and less likely to lose permanently. More like "maintaining".
I also did not start off with all strong skills and abilities, independent, low support needs - that was never me. Lots of things have always been hard or even impossible for me.
Some skills I never have before (or not properly learn), for example bathing is one that my mum help me to properly learn and get a better routine with, and I actually slowly improve with that over time! Another is my ability to express myself - this is a skill I have to constantly work hard at to maintain, because this was not a strong skill when I was younger, so it takes even more effort now that my brain is more "shut off" and have less capacity.
Some skills that are very "weak" to begin with, like speech, I lose permanently, and cannot get that back ever. When I permanently and fully lose a skill, I can never get it back. I cannot stop the continuation of the regression, it seems to just slowly keep going, and I cannot control that.
It is also not directly connected to my physical conditions (ME/CFS and FND). Whilst these conditions can make things harder, and sometimes blur the lines between what the symptoms is caused by, it is not the reason I have autism regression. I don't know why I have autism regression.
I can have fluctuating symptoms of ME/CFS and FND, and also have gradual continued regression. For example, I may have a period where FND is affecting my movements and motor control, which gets better after some time. But during that period, I also can get worse in a small skill relating to fine motor control (handwriting, which was never an easy skill for me to begin with). The improvement of FND symptoms does not make the regression "reverse".
Overall this is really just a rant of a lot of things from my head right now. I am feeling quite anxious about things changing (even though most is positive) and I am still recovering from this virus while also trying to maintain my writing and language abilities.
I also struggle with "black and white thinking" or rigid thinking, when it comes to changing the way I describe/define things over time. Whether it is because the actual experience change, or just because I find a better way to express it - I then feel very upset about the "inaccuracy" of the way I express it in the past.
Of course, this ^, is big affected by regression, with so much gradually changing over time. And needing to find new words to describe new experiences.
I think the permanence of the internet adds to it. I see my old posts, and sometimes get upset from how I was not able to clearly express what I actually meant at the time.
However, I must take small wins! I try to think of it in a positive manner, it shows I am getting better at expressing myself. And I was able to explain why I feel this way in a new post, which makes my brain less loud.
Anyway, this was longer than I intended, just have more connected thoughts than I realise! It helps to get things out when something is making me anxious. I try to do this as much as possible to keep this skill "strong" - it is the one I am most scared of losing to regression.

Douglas is cancelled
I loved this show but the very end the hotel room her interview-it didn't give me what I wanted.
I mean obviously Madiline f-ed up with a few things- she shouldn't have been tactile when trying to find out the truth- nor used that to manipulate him- he was uncomfortable so she should have stopped.
I get it is revenge and like I get it but i kinda wished she had found another way.
Also in the final piece of hotel scene before the hay festival, I wish that taking a photo of Toby hadn't been presented as the best option she had. I respect her choice - in terms of she didn't know what else to do but I do think it feeds into the narrative that a strong woman would have found a way to escape and that blackmailint some with leaking nudes is a tactic that is safe or the best option - she could also be convicted ( she shouldn't be but she could be)
Also it seemed to shame people who would be afraid or desperate for the job enough to sleep with him- sleeping with a superior for something if you aren't scared is morally neuteral(for you) I would reckon- so long as you are single. I don't judge. I judge the boss though it is horrible.
If she was scared for her future career anywhere- and how Toby could manipulate her and so stayed and he had pressured her into s-x that is s/a no two ways about it.
if she had stayed and not done anything with him he would still be a horrible man who sexually harassed her and an absolute arsehole.
And that is why I am posting so that if anybody out there saw this and thought Douglas was right when he said "phone the police- your regretting your choice then phone your mum or your best friend"
He very much isn't Madaline knows that, Stephen Moffat knows that .don't beat your self up, okay.
and then the whole it is a win for me not for women thing is fair if that is the way you feel(being proud of yourself and not wanting to think your achievement is only impressive because you are a woman prehaps.
It also may not be a problem she won for her and it doesn't stop anything involving toby - she is afraid, you might be afriad, not everybody has the ability and stabilty and safety net to stand up to such things. That doesn't mean she is horrible
I don't like however the fact she is naive enough to not see women are a group of people who are mistreated(because we are women) and our sucess does mean something for others as does our losses( when a woman is hurt it makes women afraid). I do wish Moffat would have made it more just violence does happen to women because they are women for five sesonds- Mad's opinions being the closest to right just means somepeople I reckon will twist it so that they can victim blame women for being too soft or weak or say bad things only happen to women who aren't strong enough or that women need to deal with these things themselves rather than joining together. I mean it is obvious violence and mistreatment of women from men is a problem but I have met so many men who don't believe these things happen often or at all and I am borded of educating men ages 18 to 30 at the age of 19 because subtlty and nuance goes over my guy Luke's head.
it is very complex and cool- obviously doesn't represent the young or activists or people with anxiety/autism very well and that sucks but it is great tv - very dramatic and well filmed, with great acting and lots of layers or good and bad and sad in all of the characters. I mean one just calm nice unbullied person would have been great but i suppose Kirsty Wark is a nice person so her 2 minute appearance might count.
I loved the script and it is very worth a watch and it isn't trying to be so problematic for me, or you potentially, it's just Madalyn is a total Talitha at points and some people see only in black and white.
So all the we should all aim for human rights stuff though true lacks a framework to hang on that doesn't result in a mixed message possibly.

Mashed potatoes or mashed cauliflower ? Rice or broccoli? Peas or corn? Biscuits or garlic bread? Steak or meatballs? Noodles or lobster tail?
I've never had mashed cauliflower before so I'll have to go for the potatoes!
Broccoli I like better. TBH most preparations of rice I just hate with a passion and I need to hide the flavor in ungodly amounts of condiment. Might be an autism thing. I feel the same for scrambled eggs and I do not know what may be the connection.
I do like fried rice though and there's just something to other East Asian preparations which I'm not literate enough in cooking to really pinpoint that makes it tolerable.
Garlic bread! If I were a vempire I'd still stuff myself with it no matter what happened to me.
Meatballs I guess. No strong opinion.
I've never had lobster tail either, at least that I remember. So another win by default. I do like my pasta quite a bit though so I'd say harsh competition.

I have so many mixed throughs abt Mały Książe. And its not abt whether its good or not. I just have so many interpretations that are probably not true but my brain read the book and went brrrr
I think as a love story it easly wins. The journey to learn abt love is extremely mature in my eyes. Its not simplified like in other books (they are fine but show love in a very unrealistic sugar-coated and extreme way ). Idk it reminds me of many of my own (tho platonic) relationships. The way everything feels a little complicated, a lot of unsaid things, but u both love each other. The journey to understand is also so important.
also I know that this is a weird interpretation but I sometimes see the story abt neurodiverget experience (however accidental it may be). I mean it's subtle and its not. The main character says that he always had trouble with connections plp his age. They were into adult stuff and he was like: owo red brick. Moreover the hat situation feels like a metaphor for over interpreting/seeing things differently then most. Idk if meeting the Prince in this interpretation would be a stand in for the disorder personified or meeting another person on the spectrum that is on a different side of it, but its still the same disorder. The journey of the Little Prince also reminds me of the neurodiverget way of learning abt people, the unusual journey of growing up.
I always wondered what the sheep and the ending (more specifically the dying) means. Is the dying about killing off your child self to go on with your life. But then does it also say that we need that child in us to love, that child needs to come back to the rose. What does the sheep symbolise in all of this, its suppose to eat the trees but also might eat the rose if it doesn't have a kaganiec. The ending with Prince killing himself, its so odd isn't it. There wouldn't be anything stopping him from being written coming back in any other way. But it was by suicide, its quite curious its it.
Part of me wishes it really got more serious treatment, that maybe it could be analyzed well in high school. Tho I know full well that high school destroys any good books. I think this book should come to you at a very specific time in ur life. maybe it will mean something different for u but u will still see urself and find something for yourself. For me it was autism obvi but also like I mentioned it reminds me of some relations I have with people. maybe I need to reread it and find answers to my life in it again. there is so much to unpack with this book its a shame that everyone is so quick to dismiss it
also I like how crucial to the book the drawings are. Can't describe must draw -> also me
also like 3 words abt the movie. I think it needed some indie touch fr. It's not bad, but its painfully forgettable. The book plot is handled alright. but I find the a plot being so bloody generic. I like the idea of using little prince to apply to it to 'real life', but I'd be damned to remember anything from the a plot. pls someone make it similar in vibes to like The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse. or in any other indie/shirt animation way of doing it.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry – Mały Książę
William Szekspir – Romeo i Julia
#I might be spouting bullshit takes again#but I cant let romeo and Julia win over this#the seal film ver of the story#>>>> then original#but im not here to dunk on it#its fine#but I need more love for the lil prince

The reason I made Sal a fist-fighter/boxer(which is def not my talent tho I do think it’s cool) is because to meet Fuyu at all I’d have to be either in yakuza territory or be at Hope’s Peak. And I just find it super boring to just say we’re in school together/feel like it’d be weird cuz I’m 25. So yeah I just needed to be someone who could survive and meet my beloved lol. And I just chose to be taken to the Kuzuryuu manor instead of him being the one to randomly find me or something.
But there’s also the fact that Fuyu would be harder to win over if I couldn’t hold my own or survive being a clan member. He’s someone who admires physical strength, and I’m sure he’d prefer not to have to worry about me as much. So I gave myself brownie points lmao. Not to say I can’t defend myself, cuz I can. I’m just nowhere near the “my motto is punch first and ask questions later” kinda person that my self insert is.
Oh also I have no interest in being in canon DR with Junko okay? That’s why it’s an AU. A somewhat happier one.
And another thing. Fuyu will still worry all the fucking time cuz…autism. So much that it may cause us to fight over my/Sal’s capability. Not calling Fuyu ableist, but he’d be rather highly misinformed about it, probs having never even met an autistic person before. It’d take seeing Sal in action to really understand that he’s strong.
Luckily he does, and that’s his initial spark of attraction! 😊
#Kaz is an exception to everything lol#and ya can bet that Fuyu was not willing to let him join at first#fuyu💓#f/o stuff#sal#my self insert#info about my selfship au#unfortunately I think once Fuyu knew he’s trans it might cause us to fight again :(#but I could easily refute it by being like- You’ve seen me fight Fuyuhiko! You know I’m just as capable any man here!#and yeah it’s good that I could convince of that pretty quickly lol#ramblings#selfship ramblings#god fucking typos! *as *him#I mean not that I mean Fuyu finds women incapable(the women he knows are beasts like peko lol)#but he’d still see it as something else to worry over#that someone could take advantage of me or something idk#Fuyu just has been taught bad things okay#he’d be a tough egg to crack over certain things#being in a relationship with another man is one of ‘em too#🤷♂️#good thing he’s mine<333#and everything is now peachy lol

S2E3- "Bit by a Dead Bee"
Vince Gilligan loves to make men walk out of a desert.
TW: Racism, misogyny, sexual harassment, police brutality, dismemberment allusions. This fucking cake also.
So Walt's tactic here is basically sound. While its definitely going to be tricky to maintain its not the strangest thing in the world for a guy with terminal cancer and a variety of other stress to have a full-blown dissociative episode. The issue is Walt cannot COMMIT for the life of him. He sure will try to leverage it as an excuse to not continue with his physical treatment, but the second anyone attempts to categorize it as a psychological issue he squirms. Even though its arguably an easier lie to maintain. He resists therapy, resists anything that would categorize him as "unsound". Because again. The image of the patriarch is far, far more important than even his own life.
Marie asking with concern "It wasn't Whole Foods, was it" is its own race analysis
He's not the only one. We're waiting an episode to get into Hank's own feelings on the firefight. For now, let's focus on the reactions of those around them. Junior expresses some childish delight in it, telling his barely recovered father "Uncle Hank wasted him" like he can't wait to say it. Skyler and Marie express a little more concern, but Marie waves it off, telling her "he's indestructible, you know that". His superiors cheer, and his office makes him a present of Tuco's grill. Not quite a body part, but it is undeniably. A hunting trophy for a human being. I also think its notable that the gift presentation is positioned alongside Cake!Hank (Cank) being cut up. Violence takes people into pieces. Even when they win.
Jesse is becoming more and more isolated from his friendgroup. Badger doesn't really have context for the source of Jesse's fear and jumpiness but he is undeniably falling outside of Jesse's experience bracket. This further encourages Jesse to depend on Walt exclusively. Like he says last season. Who else do they have to talk to about this stuff.
Once again. A fully armed squadron to ambush two people. Police paranoia of everyone and everything leading to entirely disproportionate violence
The interrogation of Jesse and Wendy is functionally a greatest hits of Hank's bigotry. He's sexist and sexual towards Wendy (AGAIN) and in such a distinct way that it triggers her memory of him. He also makes sexually charged comments towards Jesse. On top of all of that, there's just some. From the hip anti-Asian racism about a hypothetical Chinese place they may have ordered from. And it finally reaps negative consequences. Wendy, despite her fear, gets angry enough with him to clam up. His disrespect for Jesse means he can't actually start to piece together what he's lying about. And his inability to take Steve's warnings about Hector seriously mean he wastes a lot of time for a literal shitload of nothing. He runs out the clock on how long he can hold them hostage, and gets nothing but a vendetta that is going to continue to haunt his career.
Doesn't stop him from being racist to Steve later in the episode but I digress. "Your late homie"....
The therapist listing a potential circumstance where Walt could get shot by the police while disassociating is both a real valid concern and also. Pretty damning so far as American law enforcement is concerned.
Walt lists Junior's cerebral palsy as another source of his stress. Again: I don't doubt its a stressful circumstance for a parent to have a child with serious medical issues for most of his life. Through no fault of Junior's its a huge medical strain and likely was a traumatic experience for both Walt and Skyler whenever he first started showing symptoms. However, its another case of Walt positioning Junior's disability as a drain on his life, another way he's been screwed over. Its a human reaction. Its also just very autism mommy, for lack of a better term. Contrasted with Junior's stern reminders to drink his juice, it sets up something very specific about who's more of an adult about their medical circumstances.

i decided to copy @pope-neuro 's idea, and im making a list of what id get the mercs for smissmas
i'd get scout a set of paint markers. im sure he would love graffiti, and i can see him using them to paint over his own stuff to give them a personal touch.
for pyro, i'd get it a unicorn onesie! im sure it would love to have something like that as a pajama. pyro would go around the base stimming flapping its arms. autism win. it's soft and cozy just like it!
soldier is a tricky one but i think he would something commemorative, so i would make him a personalized medal. "to the best soldier and team player". im sure he would give the team something similar to make sure everyone knows they are valued and appreciated. receiving a medal is the greatest honor he knows. he may tear up a little.
demoman is another complicated one, but i thing he would love to get a book about mythology. he would read an memorize the pages with a certain brightness in his eye. this man is a great storyteller and he would love to get new material
i would give heavy the coziest of blankets. this is actually because in reality, i am an incredibly selfish person and id do this to have an excuse to snuggle with him. please valve make heavy tf2 real.
but in all honesty, he would love a blanket that allows him to read on cold winter nights.
engineer is getting a clay cooking pot set. i want to give this man the tools to become the greatest "big family dinner" cook of all time. the kind of person who prepares to cook thanksgiving and winter holidays for an entire month and ends up making the best shit you've ever tasted.
id give medic an egg incubator. he is the bestest bird papa ever and it would be really sad if anything bad happened to his bird children and future grandkids. i think he would also be fascinated by being able to see the little chicks growing up thanks to the light. he would take pictures of them all day whenever his pidges lay an egg
sniper is a quite reserved man, so getting him a meaningful present would be kind of difficult. i would get him a leather wallet, but inside i'd put a postcard from his parents with their picture, so he can take them always with him
i hc that spy is a spanish civil war refugee. he escaped as a child with his parents, but they died, leaving him to fence for himself in the streets of france. he still speaks spanish and catalan, but his past leaves him feeling like he lost a big part of his heritage. this is all to say that id gift him a knife from toledo, so he can feel closer to his roots

So I have a friend who is autistic. Do you have any ideas on how the Wachowski boys would deal with someone who is autistic? I know autism is a spectrum, and it varies between individuals.
Yeah, it would be hard to know how the boys would deal with someone on the spectrum, specifically because there are so many different ways it can present in any one person. It'd be impossible to cover them all.
My daughter has autism. She's 14, but emotionally is probably closer to about 7 year old. (She presents younger than her age, due to her behaviors.) She likes watching cartoons meant for younger kids, and carries around a plush or two (which ones tends to change as she cycles through her various obsessions). She's verbal, but still very hyperfixated on her own interests so conversations aren't quite as back and forth as they could be, especially if she's not interested in whatever the other person is talking about. She's interactive, but also likes to spend a lot of time doing her own thing in her room. (She's becoming quite the artist!) She loves to swing and ride her bike, and lately she's been playing a lot of Pokemon Sword on the Switch.
So I'll use her as our "new friend" for the boys.
Knuckles really likes spending time with her, mostly because she's not a motormouth like a certain brother, and doesn't use words he doesn't understand like another brother. They spend a lot of time at the park, swinging and climbing the playset. He likes how they don't have to talk, they're comfortable in the shared silence. He feels comfortable around her, and respects her honesty, no matter how blunt because she never says anything she doesn't whole-heartedly mean. But sometimes she says something so off-the-wall, yet so honest, it makes him let loose a big belly laugh. He is very protective of her, and he often holds her hand while they are out--especially near the road--to make sure she doesn't get hurt. (She isn't as attentive to her surroundings as she should be, sometimes.) Of all three boys, he's the one who connects with her the best.
Sonic loves to race with her--either while she's on her bike (and he makes sure to watch out for her) or on foot. They talk about Pokemon all the time, and draw comics together. Sometimes they play Switch games together, but she's not as good at the ones he likes, so he's content either letting her win, or helping her get better. Other times he just sits next to her as she plays. He's mostly a big blue ball of encouragement for her, but her lack of interaction sometimes frustrates him. His patience can sometimes wear thin--especially when she does nothing but talk about the one Pokemon she's obsessed with--but he's never rude or cruel. He jokes with her constantly, and loves to make her laugh.
Tails also talks Pokemon with her, and the two have a competition to make up new Pokemon critters to show each other. They have 'battles', which essentially is just the two of them yelling out moves and describing the battle until they collapse into fits of laughter in the backyard. He feels a bit of a kindred spirit with her, as she was "born different" just like him, but, being a problem solver, he wants to try and help her with anything she may struggle with. He also tries to teach her something every time they see each other, even if it's just some new fact about an animal.
I think their interactions would differ depending on the individual, but this is how I envision them interacting with my daughter.

Stanford Pines is autistic
This is a Gravity falls post, and I'm going to be talking about how Stanford Pines has ASD (Autism Spectrum disorder). Before I get into it I'd just like to say this is inspired by a different post on how Ford is autistic. The original post is here https://thegraftedbranch.tumblr.com/post/649573590709288960/why-stanford-pines-from-gravity-falls-is-autistic
Here are the symptoms of ASD that Ford displays throughout the show:
-Has a hard time keeping eye contact or avoids it
-Has a hard time with facial expressions
-Dislikes touch, prefers to do their thing alone
-Has a hard time expressing emotions
-Very empathic or not empathic at all
-Has a hard time with non verbal social ques
-Hurts themselves without realizing it
-Gets upset if a plan is changed and/or has a hard time adapting to change
-Is unusually sensitive to lights/touches/smells (but may not be affected by pain or temperature)
-Has hyper-fixations
-Doesn't understand certain parts of speech (jokes/metaphors)
-Makes jokes/says things that normally don't make sense
-Makes strange connections to relate to someone/thing
-Is confused by emotions
-Has inappropriate reactions to events
Here are some complications of ASD that I've noticed in Ford:
-social isolation
-being bullied
Now to the analysis
Season 2, Episode 12 is where we first meet Stanford Pines, or Ford. The first thing he does upon seeing his brother for the first time in 30 years is punch Stan in the face when Stan was clearly very happy to see him, which is a bit odd, in my opinion. In the first 2 minutes of the episode we can already see maybe Ford isn't as affected by pain, and may not be very empathic. We can see that after Stan gets punched, he rubs his jaw but Ford doesn't even touch his fist, and I can imagine punching someone in the jaw hurts on both ends.
A few seconds later, Ford sees Mable and Dipper, and Stan explains that they're his family. While Stan tells him this, Ford doesn't make eye contact while Stan is trying to.
When Ford finds out that the FBI are surrounding the shack, he's the only person to go to the journal and start thinking of a plan, showing he needs a plan to deal with large issues.
Onto the flashback. This part of the episode is extremely important because it shows what Stan and Ford were like when they were younger. The first time we see Ford in this flashback is when he's alone on his bed, drawing supernatural creatures, while Stan is running around and playing.
This tells us two things, from a young age, Ford seemed to enjoy being alone and doing his own thing, and always enjoyed the supernatural, which could be seen as a long term hyper-fixation. Ford also jumps right off of his top bunk, which may point to him not processing pain or being affected by it as much as everyone else.
When the flashback shows Ford winning the award for his science project, Stan hugs him, and Ford gives an uncomfortable smile, but goes along with it. This points to him not being very comfortable with touch and not being able to express his emotions.
Throughout the flashback he's seen having an extreme interest in science and the supernatural, and he also doesn't make too many diverse facial expressions.
When that first half of the flashback ends, Mable suggests the two hug it out. Ford looks back at Stan because he knows Stan would hug someone, but Stan doesn't look back because he knows Ford wouldn't hug anyone.
Fords half of the flashback starts, and he says something that resonates with me, an autistic person. "In a place like that I had to work twice as hard. Luckily, that's what I do best.". This stuck out to me because as an autistic person I've always felt I've needed to work twice as hard just to get the same result as everyone else.
Ford also talks about how he was ahead of schedule in his academics, and it's shown that he doesn't even look away from his research. That can all be seen as a hyper-fixation and an extreme special interest in science. Another thing to mention is that when he gets his own grant, he's not making eye contact with the person who gives it to him.
In Fords flashback, after he gets to gravity falls a large hand grabs his car and drags it off, and Ford seems very excited to see this, which I see as an inappropriate reaction.
When Dipper screams over the journals, Ford shows no reaction to this at all. One could argue that no one else reacts to this, but that may be because the others know Dipper's obsession over the journals, while Ford doesn't.
Ford is also seen drawing and writing about his findings in the journals, which is something he's been doing all his life, drawing and writing.
When Fiddleford gets sucked into the portal, Ford immediately pulls him out, but instead of asking how he is, Ford asks what he saw, which points to an inappropriate reaction and possible lack of empathy.
During this part of the flashback, Ford puts his hands on Fiddleford's shoulder and Fiddleford touches Ford's shoulder, leading to the conclusion that although Ford isn't big on touch, he's ok with being touched on the shoulders/arms, and he also avoids eye contact with Fiddleford.
When Ford has Stan come over and Stan knocks on the door, Fords first instinct is to pull a weapon on him, showing another inappropriate reaction.
Then Ford asks Stan to get rid of the journal which leads me to see two things. The first is that Ford is again showing strange reactions. The second thing I noticed when Stan tried to destroy the journal, Ford stopped him.
But why would it matter if the journal was destroyed if Ford wanted it far away from him?
I see this and thought it was because the journals were comfort objects for Ford, and destroying them was too emotionally hard for him, which would explain why he buried the first two instead of just destroying them.
When Ford tells Stan he's kicking him out of the house, he avoids eye contact while Stan tries to make eye contact.
Another thing I forgot to add is, when Stan goes to the store pretending to be Ford, everyone is very shocked to see 'Ford'. This tells us that Ford didn't go out much if at all, and he spent pretty much all of his time alone, another thing on the list.
Despite this just being an analysis of the first episode we meet Ford, it's very clear he meets many of the points above.
A few more things I'd like to add that weren't in this episode:
-Ford shows a huge amount of excitement for DD&D, pointing to another hyper-fixation.
-Ford doesn't make too many jokes, and when he does it's very clear they're jokes.
-He's seen as a very clumsy child, another symptom of autism.

my turn to cry - thoughts on 3-1b
ok this has actually gotta be my favorite chapter cause holy shit so much stuff happened.
I played the Alice/kanna route and afterwards I watched a vod with the reko/shin route in which ranmaru and naomichi died before the banquet, so BIG SPOILER WARNING FOR BOTH ROUTES
Mafia Princess Sara??: Ok so first off, back in the beginning of 2020, I had a theory that Sara was a mafia heiress and that the death game was supposed to be something to “prepare” her. And that her memories were wiped or she was initially supposed to be kept blind to this whole thing (In 3-1a when everybody saw the consent form for the very first time everybody felt a sense of deja vu, except for Sara. Because why would they need her consent when she is the sole focus of the game and it’s all for her) This theory was mainly supplied by my confusion surrounding the hiring of Kai, cause why would mr Chidouin hire a former assassin to protect her?? How did he even know Kai??? But yeah, the whole thing with Shinobu Gokujo and deciding a new don through a death game just adds a lil more validity to this theory.
Sara’s real father: I also had a mini theory that Gashu Satou was her real father, but that was mostly cause of their hair color and how it would def make Sara’s hair color make more sense genetics-wise (but kai has black hair, so its most likely that his mother had black hair, which would also disprove this mini-theory but yk im not here to prove it just talk about it). And that Gashu knew of Mr. Chidouin and gave Sara to him, and it would also explain why mr Chidouin chose Kai of all people to look after her and why Kai could only watch her from a distance, in case she realized the truth that he was her brother/half-brother or something.
GREENBLINGS CANON AAAAAAAA: I love this, I love this so much oh my god. Now I can replay and cry after 2-2 cause nankidai hates us :’). I dont have an issue with this specifically, I’m just a bit bothered by how the whole thing went. There was some buildup yea, and the cg with kanna, kugie, and shin was amazing. And that lil bit about nice hallucinations made me tear up a bit. But, then everybody kinda just moved on? and idk this whole chapter was a fuckign roller coaster I could barely keep up.
Autistic Gin <3: I’m autistic myself and I have seen many characters who are autistic-coded or exhibit many signs of autism but have never been straight up confirmed (Ex: Vera Misham from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney). And even then, these characters usually share similar personality traits like being aloof and reserved. So it’s nice to see that Gin is representing autism in a relatively realistic manner with his hyperfixations, vocal tics, and issues with socializing. Even after nearly dying like 17 times he’s still doing well and I genuinely wish for his survival and happiness.
Ranmaru’s death: Both of Ranmaru’s deaths, (if you or if you don’t fail the electricity absorption minigame) the death feels so... off? I was really attached to him as a character, yet his death didn’t impact as much as Joe’s or Nao’s did. During his Banquet death, one second he had his really cute smiling sprite but then whoops oh no guys weird drill screw thing kills him (again). I still can barely comprehend it because it all just happened so fast. Like no cg or anything. I was honestly kinda disappointed. The “delayed” one does a better job at his death scene, but again, it was wayyy too quick and completely dismissed as everybody just moves on to defeat Maple 2.0. I at least would’ve appreciated a better transition than Midori just saying “well anyways–”
Ranmaru’s extremely quick descent into madness in the shin route: I actually liked this idea of Ranmaru willing to go to such extremes for Sara. However, theres barely time for any of this to develop? Like again, everything just happens so fast??? I would've definitely liked if there were little hints around before the body discovery that ranmaru was gonna do something like this, just a little time for development would really be cool.
Mr. Policeman/Mr. Tazuna???: After I finished, I actually looked on the wiki to see if it said anything about his son that he mentioned and I found this:
But yeah thats cool
The thing about Q-taro: I’m gonna say it now, I’ve liked Q-taro ever since the aftermath of 1-2, and Q-taro haters have added absolutely nothing to this fandom. Everybody saw him as a child-hater, I see him as a guy who’ll do anything to survive and succeed. I mean that wish is kinda what got him into the death game. And yeah he did try to leave that one time, but that’s what getting thrown into traumatic killing games does for you, most people don’t want to die, they want to live, no matter what it takes. We can’t all be the main character and choose to cooperate with everybody and be the “good” person in that situation. Even Sara has those extremely selfish moments and those intrusive thoughts of winning and leaving.
This whole thing should also be applied to Ranmaru. Ranmaru has gone through so much shit in such a brief amount of time, to the point where he was considering to/actually kill people to escape with the one person he trusted in this hellhole. In that situation, Sara’s kinda at fault here, cause without Joe she’s lost her sense of morality which resulted in her becoming selfish and well... honestly kinda toxic. This emotional manipulation is really what set Ranmaru off, however it was 100% his decision to fucking kill somebody and murder’s bad. Still love him though.
But back to Qtaro, I really enjoyed the extra substance given to him in this chapter, it’s nice to see the development from being selfish to feeling deep remorse to protecting the dolls of the first trial victims, most notably Mai. As he completely forgives her for stabbing him. The chapter did a great job at fueling my already intense love for Q-taro (and it actually convinced my best friend who claims to hate Q-taro with every bone of her body to like him too!) I also love the father-son dynamic between him and Gin. I find this relationship to be really important cause Gin’s father is an abusive alcoholic and Q-taro’s an orphan who’s never had a proper role-model in his life. So it’s beautiful that despite not having anybody there for him when he was younger he can still be a good figure for another child.
Predictions/hopes for the next part:
I just want to see whether Shin already knew about Kanna being his sister, and if he doesn’t I want a reveal. Right. Now.
A Ranmaru/Joe/Q-taro/Kai/ “Hinako” revival, p l e a se they died so soon
More info about the people involved in the Hades Incident/Shinobu Gokujo
More info regarding Meister
Sara going on Maury
Who tf is “Hinako”????
I really hope that there isn't any specific good/bad ending. Like I want every ending to be equally bad and good yk? like equal consequences and good stuff.
Yo wtf happened to Sara’s mom?? Is she gonna come back and play a more important role in the story?? Are her parents gonna come back as floor masters???
I want things to actually change depending on whether you picked Alice or reko, cause so far they’ve played extremely minor roles.
