Me writing my Sidaech (witches) from an outsider’s perspective: they’re powerful. Unnatural. If they become powerful enough they can become Saints. They’re a mix between warrior and scholar. You don’t want to cross one if possible.

Also the Sidaech I’ve actually written so far:

Sankt Lysander: man literally too angry to die. Immortal loser weirdo. Creepiest Saint in town. Evil advisor type of guy. Tries to offer Sainthood to someone else and they go “I fucking hate you, I don’t want an eternity with you”

Mathildis Vauk: pretty glowing light powers go brr. Constantly suffering. So gay he accidentally gave a court outsider a recipe to start the Skodr civil war, after 200 years of court outsiders not being allowed to visit the seidr science court to prevent a war.

Karyna Šarić: no idea what she’s doing at any given time except that she’s part of the healer’s guild, dramatic as hell, being a water witch and healer literally cannot stop her from violence

Cian Kilmoore: stressed no-feelings policy, absolutely criminal, kills someone for blackmailing him, nice electricity magic and no nerve for it, was once a healer and now gets harassed by his extended family of pacifists and by the weirdo Saint, screws over all the political parties in the city because he’s a hater

Jonah Scout: modern day university student surviving on spite and microwave meals. Latches onto grumpy private investigator like a school pond leech. Fancy teleportation powers but is studying computer science and is greying early because of it. His biological parents quite literally lost him.
