Since this was the first volume, I tried out a few different drawings and had the editor and designer choose which ones they wanted, then made small adjustments. I personally liked the top-down draft, and the one of the cooking processes (back cover) the best. But looking back, I sincerely think it's good that we didn't go with those. (Kui)

As much as I like Spotify Wrapped, I have to say this year was awful and the nail in the coffin for me.

Firstly, it was later than usual and was all AI. That isn't 100% a bad thing, but it was missing a ton of stats in favor for what AI generated genre description we were listening to through out the year. I wanted to know what my top genres were this year! What my tarot or energy was! But there was none of that, instead an AI podcast that reguritated the wrapped story and got it wrong for me. (Last time I checked by biggest listneing day couldn't have been 12k minutes as there's not even that many minutes in a week).

Spotify isn't even the best music streaming platform by far. It sucks with music quality where it is very noticible even if you aren't an audiophile. Let's compare individual plans. For 11.99 USD the highest streaming is 320kbps and doesn't have high-res. Amazon, Tidal, and Apple Music all have the ability to stream CD quality (for example Tidal is 1,411kbps) for their 10.99 USD each. And they have the same if not bigger catelogs. Oh and Tidal actually pays their artists and is clear about it (Spotify pays $0.00348 per stream, Amazon does $0.00426, Apple $0.00675, and Tidal $0.00876).

The biggest draw to Spotify for me was the statistics. I really enjoyed being able to see what I'm listening to and compare but now every other streaming service has that. I liked that. Except, each service is doing that now. And Every Noise At Once, a website I use to find great new music, is no longer updating cause Spotify laid off a ton of their staff. While it wasn't a Spotify "offical" thing, the person that ran it worked at Spotify and was a part of the daylist creation along with other things.

Another thing is the music recommendations. They suck. Spotify used to introduce me to a lot of new music but I feel like it just gives me the same five same songs. Shuffle is also rigged and anything generated has gone downhill since the layoff. There's no new layout or UI changes that have been asked for years. Like covers for playlist folders or album collections.

Spotify might have podcast integration but it SUCKS. There's so many better free options. I'm a big podcast listener and their podcatcher is the worst I've used. By far.

The only good thing about Spotify right now is the audiobooks for premium users. I liked that. Except the selection is limited you get 15 hours a month. There's other free options like Libby which is integrated with local libraries.

If you were disapointed with Spotify Wrapped this year, maybe look into some other options. Spotify has some nice features but I'm finding it less and less worth it.

Every time someone says I draw Silco pretty I'm like oh no am I ignoring his weird features but I will take this as you appreciating those said weird features, not saying that I make him look like not himself. ANYWAY

Tracing can help you learn the lines but it's not that easy to use those lines yourself, if that makes sense. I, for example, had to trace Vander's whole eye/nose situation before I really got it. Still took me multiple tries to get it right even though I knew what I was meant to do

Silco, at least older Silco, is really "top heavy" in his face. His whole chin/jaw situation is smol

When you touch him it makes him feel warm. Soft in a way he's never really felt before. He finds himself seeking it out most of the time.

His hands settling on the dip of your waist, leaning into the deftness of your fingers toying with his hair were common, everyday things.

It made him feel fuzzy, and he couldn't help the way he'd relax into you like a lazy cat, kissing the tips of his fingers like he was thanking you for the warmth they brought.

It was raining today, the sky was blocked out by the dark clouds, and towering buildings. The streets slick with the pouring water left the pair of you tucked into each other comfortably.

Jason has his hand pressed against the mid of of your back as you rested your head against his chest, tracing slow soft patterns into the fabric of his shirt.

He looks down at you, examining the way the lamp light shadowed over your delicate features. The ones he loved to admire so. Adored to the core of his being.

His free hand comes up to trace the line of your jaw, drawing your attention.

"Hm?" You hum softly in question, and he gives you a squeeze, kissing the tip of your nose with a small smile.

"You're so pretty, you know that?" Jason remarks, pecking you on the lips.

You chuckle softly, chasing his lips for another kiss, "I'd argue you're the prettiest." you tease.

"Oh yeah?" Jason says amusedly, nuzzling into your neck contentedly, the scent of your perfume a familiar comfort, "I dunno, baby... That seems like a bit of a stretch, but if you insist..."

"That tickles, Jason." You huff with a soft laugh, shifting to sit up, only for Jason to squish you back against his chest.

He shakes his head, his eyes fluttering closed as he holds you close like a teddy bear, "Baby, don't get up." He sighs, wrapping both his arms around your waist, "I'll be so lonely. I'll freeze to death or something."

"Jay, it is not that cold in here. You're not going to freeze." You remark, rolling your eyes at his petulant whining, "I'm hungry, I wanna make a sandwich."

Jason shakes his head, keeping you tucked against him, "Starve."

"That's not very nice." You whisper, noticing the heavier rise and fall of his chest as he dozes comfortably.

In this moment Jason was content, with you close, and comfortable and warm on top of him. God, you made him soft. Just one look at your face made him soft.

"I'll make you something later." Jason huffs, squeezing you tightly, "Let's just nap for a while."

"Promise?" You hum, kissing along his cheekbone with an amused smile.

"Anything for you, sweetheart." Jason whispers back, bringing your hand up to press a kiss to your knuckles, then your palm, your wrist, and up until he gives you a proper kiss.

"I love you." You say sweetly, smiling against his lips.

"I love you too, baby." Jason says quietly. And he did. With his heart and soul he adores you.

Well, I did it

Megatron - I love his tfp design. Probably one of the best iteration of Megs. He is huge, heavy armoured, his face covered with scars… He doesn’t looks like an ordinary military leader who is only capable of giving orders, but like real warrior who can destroy any enemy with his bare hands.

So, in the WOF version, he definitely shares some features with Princess Burn, not only because of his might, but also because of his horns shape and dirty-dark scales (that absorbed blood of his enemies)

Starscream - Boy, I hate him so much 🤣… but in the good way, trust me! In my opinion, when the show's creators make you feel such strong negative emotions towards a villain, it means they've done a great job. Also, I think that his animation in the show was absolutely incredible, because even though he's a 3D model, he still manages to move like a 2D character, which is amazing!

I feel that in my design he still looks more like a skywing, than an icewing (which is kinda logical)

Soundwave - This one was tricky. I couldn't figure out what his mask would look like, so I just made his face a really dark color. I think Soundwave has both gifts of the nightwings, and he’s equally great at telepathy and a future vision. So he doesn't really need equipment to predict enemy movements, which makes him an ideal communicator in the WOF setting. His Laserbeak is part of the armor enchanted by Shockwave, and it might also allow him to open portals (but I'm not sure with this one)

Shockwave - My favourite evil genius. He would definitely have animus magic and mind reading. I think Shockwave is the only one who has advanced the study of magic so far, precisely because he combined it with scientific knowledge and created safer methods of using it, that don't damage the mind. It's like if a Mastermind got animus magic in books.

I also like to think that he didn't heal the damaged part of his face just so that his enemies would fear him more)

Dreadwing - This man deserved better! It's really a shame that he was removed from the show so quickly due to financial problems. It would be great if his arc got a proper conclusion in season 3.

Considering that I didn't want to make him a hybrid, it was difficult to choose a suitable color palette. So let’s just say, that I tried my best😅

I don’t think that he would have any nightwing powers, but honestly it doesn’t even matter - this guy can make a bombs, what else does he need to be cool

Arachnid - Did anyone even doubt that she would be a hivewing? Damn, she even got her own “Othermind” virus. Her design was the easiest to work with - just a little poisonous ass (suspiciously similar to Maleficent).

Just like Starscream, I hate her, but in a good way. She's one of the creepiest characters in the entire series, who’s acting like a fucking heartless monster, especially with Arcee, but even so, there's always was something mesmerizing about her. I just really like strong female villains

Knockout - Wery bright and charismatic guy, definitely one of my fav cons!

I tried to draw him as handsome as possible. Worked a lot on the face shape and coloring, and as for me it turned out pretty nice (finally).

Most decepticons think Knockout is as stupid and lazy as all the other rainwings. And it's not like he completely disagrees with that. Of course he’s not stupid and lazy, but if it’s means less dirty work on the battlefield, well, he’ll continue act like a tipical rainwing

(I also believe that Megatron keeps him as an “art”)

Breakdown - Fun fact: "Operation Breakdown" was the very first thing I saw in this series. And it was an interesting experience for 8 year old me. Maybe that's why I'm so scared of eye gouging scenes in movies now…

I think that he didn't have any siblings initially due to his parents nature, and even after meeting Bulkhead, he felt uncomfortable among the other mudwings. And this is why he later chose the side of the decepticons. And maaaaybe because of one cute rainwing influence)

P.s.

I think that, being mostly nightwings and icewings, the decepticons are much more concerned about purity of their blood and rarely accept half-breeds into their ranks.

During the war, there were many animus dragons among decepticons, which is why they have so many artifacts that allowed teleportation and communication at a distance. But, honestly, I still can't imagine what Nemesis would look like in this AU
