But like hypothetically if I decided to make a series of YouTube video breaking down and rambling about how I think the first year trio encompass the full gradient scale of what it means to be “morally good” and how by the end of the series they have grown exponentially but their moral inner workings are so entrenched in who they are they never needed to change they just became more of who they already were.
Because initially Yuuji wants to save the world in that abstract way all heroes do, Megumi is only interested in saving those he can save and Nobara is only interested in those she wants to save. And all these are treated as morally valid by the narrative and not really flaws in need of changing but instead philosophies in need of refining and understanding.
Because Jujutsu Society as a whole encourages and thrives off a moral apathy or superiority, they are in the business of killing curses not saving lives and that ultimately raises the question of if you’re going out there everyday killing curses and inadvertently saving lives does it really matter the reason why? Or the morality behind it? Maybe not to you but to the society, maybe.
So anyway, hypothetically ….would you be hypothetically interested👀

What were the other heroes of yore like in your au?
in awtdy au?
they're gone long before the beginning of the story, which takes place on 'modern day' popstar, and they admittedly don't feature much. as a result they don't (currently) have any real hard and fast development in that au in particular!
when galacta knight is freed from the crystal by his wish, he seems to think or feel fairly little about them. perhaps time has eroded anything he felt, or perhaps they didn't have an especially great relationship. in some endings he even seems to have an amount of antagonism towards others of his kind, even going so far as to hunt them down through dimensions. in those cases i imagine some sort of betrayal is likely to have occurred somewhere along the line, but he could also just be wiping out the only things that could ever stand up against him.
or... did you mean in someone else's story...?

No but Matsulight being intrinsically connected to nearly every other Light ship is so, so dear to me because:
-you've got the mirrored grief of killing your loved one and regretting it with Lawlight
-you've got the blind devotion and regret of said devotion and the matching moral compasses of Mikalight
-you've got the hope and adoration and "puppishness" of Misalight
-AND you've got the shared grief for L of BBLight
Matsulight has it all and my playlists are a mess 🥲

initially this post had some commentary about interests right now. and then it turned into a ramble about personal healing in the tags. so the interest post is going separately.
#i have been possessed by my fourteen year old self.#except now i am *way* less ashamed of my interests#<- oh wow when you're in a place where all your interests that are unique to you are shamed constantly you stop enjoying them#there were so many things i hoarded as ''just mine'' because i was scared that they'd be stolen from me in one way or another#because either it'd be co-opted and i'd have to confirm to their view of said interest. or i'd be shamed and belittled for enjoying it#there are so many little things now (even wider than like. media interests. like literal aspects of myself) that feel wrong to share becaus#the only way to keep it safe was to keep it close to my chest#there are a few names i'd love to go by but as soon as i think about actually telling someone it i feel like i might#(and sometimes do) have a panic attack about it#which is stupid!!! the people around me now love me!!!! and i love them!!!!!#all that to say. being able to post about armand and dm is kind of like. a rebellion i guess#tvc and specifically armand were so important to me because back then i kind of saw myself in him? v. jaded and disconnected with the world#and seeking someone to bring them forward and into a new space to try and reinvent themself#and wanting someone to love them hard enough that it encompassed everything#i wanted to be what daniel was to armand and what armand was to daniel#<- very healthy way to think about the world and relationships btw <3 i was so normal and fine and this was not a sign something was wrong#god this turned into a bit of a vent thing huh.#i'm not like. feeling big feelings i should clarify. i feel like i'm examining them from a distance and taking notes like a scientist lol#it's a thing of like. knowing how unhealthy everything was and acknowledging that i'm healing. slowly; sure. but i am healing#i got to play a game one of them had tainted last week. it was hard and fun and i had big feelings when i was playing#because it was a little triggering. but i did it. i managed. i felt better for it.#i told my partner about one of my favourite bands back in 2021 and now they listen to them too and that's a little bit of joy#because it was one of the things that was deemed ''bad'' and that i can share that with someone now and feel safe to love it is good#and being able to be as obsessive and hyperfixated as i am right now without it being unsafe is really really lovely#and it is making me lean into it! i can engage with this without guilt! i want to fuck that old man!#it's silly and difficult and big and great and awful and complicated. but it's allowed to be. i'm allowed to be.

thinks about the double entendre in tristan's bio ("one day, Tristan fell in love with a woman named Iseult. No, he was made to fall in love.") and then starts chewing my hands off
#in the official english bio it's ''he accidentally fell in love'' but NOOO it makes it sound much more passive and muted i'm not the biggest#fan of it fkjlds#like made to fall in love is so. like there's the reading of forcefulness like he was MADE to fall in love he wasn't allowed another option#but also a sort of all-encompassing nature to it like almost overwhelming#i was MADE to fall in love my only reason for being born was to love you ect ect and those both combined makes me AAAAAAAAA#like my vers. of tristan and isolde and like most versions ive seen are very consensual re: the love potion stuff#but ouuuu tristannnn fate grand order...#hell there probably didnt even need to be a love potion involved for this guy bc i think genuinely if he was given even a modicum of#genuine affection from isolde of ireland he would cling and obsess over it so strongly BECAUSE hes propped up as this child of sadness#this person who looks so pretty but oh so sorrowful and sings such beautiful poems filled with grief that it ended up feeding into a self#destructive cycle of very very rarely allowing himself to be anything more than that yknow#so when he's given a promise of affection and a love potion what else could he have done?#hes everything to me <33333333333333333#hes everything and he keeps becoming a bit character about fucking married women EVEN THOUGH. TECHNICALLY. HE FELL IN LOVE WHILE SHE WAS#BEING TAKEN TO MARK SO SHE WASN'T EVEN MARRIED YET#im so excited to see whats goin on with him in lb6 though <3 riot win for them using his old english name

really kinda feels like I just never developed my own personality. I copy what people that I like like. I pick one person at a time to get obsessed with (actually not a choice, but), and then I become them. unconsciously and unintentionally. and it feels bad. real bad! when there's no one it feels like I'm not even real. there's nothing underneath all the pretending. I'm just not there.

leland also got ‘love as a threshold’ on that one quiz and im like yeah. just know that love to him is unconditional, devoted, easy as breathing, and it’s not hard for him to say i love you. that’s how his mother raised him and his sisters. though sometimes he feels a bit embarrassed for caring so much, so obviously, being such an open book. he knows that also leaves him open to heartbreak, to looking stupid, to getting hurt. but it’s not something he can change. it’s not something he expects back from people, he just needs You to know that you’re loved. and again i do think his friends teach him different ways to show love, different languages for it. that some people need different things, and some people were never given the space to be open about it like he was.

most security guards/cops/crims are more dangerous to themselves than to any actual threat. in the Early Years of Batman, he was a Cryptid who only appeared at night & had the Power Of Money to support said "Cryptid" status via having MUCH better tech (armour, spyware, [nightvision], training with said tech, non-lethal weapons, niche tools, etc) than everyone else. At night, with a previously scouted out map of an area & a local's familiarity with it, Batman wouldn't need to "ninja" that hard because... unless a guard's boss was SCARIER than a Bat Cryptid, they're not going to be overly invested in risking their lives (though Batman's Technical Pacifism wasn't realised until Later: I assume Gotham's medical insurance runs by North American Rules, making a "non-lethal" beatdown probs scarier to the Average Mook).
The Penguin is a Threat because out of ALL the early crime bosses of the Era where Batman Began... HIS GANG SURVIVED (as in, it didn't get disbanded or turn on itself after losing multiple arms deals/smuggling shipments/sundry criminal activities via way of Bat Cryptid). Somehow, the Penguin keeps landing back on his feet: it Varies from writer to writer but the "Modern" Penguin is one of Gotham's more "civilised" crimebosses. As opposed to the Chaotic Crime pre-Batman or the Chaotic Evil of Certain Supervillains, the Penguin is an "Organized" Crimeboss. He's dangerous because he outsurvived all his contemporaries, he has Connections & Political Influence: treating the Penguin as a threat is Only Polite, in a setting like Gotham.
...except when the Penguin is named less for his Penguin Suit and just Penguins: those penguins BLOW UP & get sent into civilian areas. The umbrella ALSO blows up. It also tends to be a machine gun &/or a Detonation Device. This is the Penguin who Danny Devito played. The Batman of that setting was also one without decades of experience & familiarity with [being a vigilante], less Paranoid and Detective-y. Just Very Camp. And, in a Camp Setting, the Penguin can AND WILL "outcamp" the guy not commiting to being a Spooky Bat Cryptid.
The problem with Batman in his present incarnation is that we need simultaneously to believe that this is a man who can effortlessly ninja his way through dozens of gun-toting mercenaries, and that this is a man to whom Danny DeVito with an umbrella is a credible threat.
#batman meta#the penguin#oswald cobblepot#gotham is camp#gotham is film noir#gotham is urban horror#cryptid batman#eldritch gorham#from what i know of the american states' medical system batman not killing people is scarier#i imagine bruce wayne & wayne industries give subtle subsidies for mooks with concussions#unless a supervillain is active i would assume most batfam patrols involve disarming skittish guards & looming over wouldbe assailants#most people would prefer not to do crime or at least to not get hurt by someone in full tac gear#the batman setting requires a degree of good faith bc each writer & fan interprets its themes differently#generally the batman comics are a means of asking why people do crime & whether law enforcement can ever be effective w/o societal change#the gotham central comics go into the futility of being a “good cop” in a corrupt system#one of nightwing's fights with batman was on his wanting to be a cop & thus carry a gun#bruce wayne has obvs trauma about guns & people having access to them#idk whether the batman comics have ever been able to tackle gun control outside the generic busting of weapons smuggling by gangs#but one of the key aspects of batman's mythology is NO GUNS#which remains very controversial to his primary audience#but makes batman immediately preferable to international fans who've seen marvel heroes toting firearms#peacekeepers should not be armed with deadly weapons#stealthy bat cryptid using kungfu & gratuitously niche tools > guns#duke thomas & the fox family are kind of the only black members of the batfam but it was only a matter of time#idk if duke's comics have genuinely engaged with the BLM & disarm the police discussions but both issues resonate w/ the bat mythos#i may be giving more credit to DC than it deserves esp given how easily frank miller & bat video games have yeeted pacifism away#but i would hope that BLM was inspirational to the batwriters bc it encompasses everything that the batman comics set out to challenge#albeit through the vehicle of a rich white boy w/ a retired james bond expie as his butler & caregiver#only an autistic kid would respond to childhood trauma with “become a bat cryptid” & spend a decade learning how to be just that#some people are born cryptid and others spend decades & their grandparents trustfunds learning to mimic cryptids

As I keep shouting into the void, pathologizers love shifting discussion about material conditions into discussion about emotional states.
I rant approximately once a week about how the brain maturity myth transmuted “Young adults are too poor to move out of their parents’ homes or have children of their own” into “Young adults are too emotionally and neurologically immature to move out of their parents’ homes or have children of their own.”
I’ve also talked about the misuse of “enabling” and “trauma” and “dopamine” .
And this is a pattern – people coin terms and concepts to describe material problems, and pathologization culture shifts them to be about problems in the brain or psyche of the person experiencing them. Now we’re talking about neurochemicals, frontal lobes, and self-esteem instead of talking about wages, wealth distribution, and civil rights. Now we can say that poor, oppressed, and exploited people are suffering from a neurological/emotional defect that makes them not know what’s best for themselves, so they don’t need or deserve rights or money.
Here are some terms that have been so horribly misused by mental health culture that we’ve almost entirely forgotten that they were originally materialist critiques.
Codependency What it originally referred to: A non-addicted person being overly “helpful” to an addicted partner or relative, often out of financial desperation. For example: Making sure your alcoholic husband gets to work in the morning (even though he’s an adult who should be responsible for himself) because if he loses his job, you’ll lose your home. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/08/opinion/codependency-addiction-recovery.html What it’s been distorted into: Being “clingy,” being “too emotionally needy,” wanting things like affection and quality time from a partner. A way of pathologizing people, especially young women, for wanting things like love and commitment in a romantic relationship.
Compulsory Heterosexuality What it originally referred to: In the 1980 in essay "Compulsory Heterosexuality and Lesbian Existence," https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/abs/10.1086/493756 Adrienne Rich described compulsory heterosexuality as a set of social conditions that coerce women into heterosexual relationships and prioritize those relationships over relationships between women (both romantic and platonic). She also defines “lesbian” much more broadly than current discourse does, encompassing a wide variety of romantic and platonic relationships between women. While she does suggest that women who identify as heterosexual might be doing so out of unquestioned social norms, this is not the primary point she’s making. What it’s been distorted into: The patronizing, biphobic idea that lesbians somehow falsely believe themselves to be attracted to men. Part of the overall “Women don’t really know what they want or what’s good for them” theme of contemporary discourse.
Emotional Labor What it originally referred to: The implicit or explicit requirement that workers (especially women workers, especially workers in female-dominated “pink collar” jobs, especially tipped workers) perform emotional intimacy with customers, coworkers, and bosses above and beyond the actual job being done. Having to smile, be “friendly,” flirt, give the impression of genuine caring, politely accept harassment, etc. https://weld.la.psu.edu/what-is-emotional-labor/ What it’s been distorted into: Everything under the sun. Everything from housework (which we already had a term for), to tolerating the existence of disabled people, to just caring about friends the way friends do. The original intent of the concept was “It’s unreasonable to expect your waitress to care about your problems, because she’s not really your friend,” not “It’s unreasonable to expect your actual friends to care about your problems unless you pay them, because that’s emotional labor,” and certainly not “Disabled people shouldn’t be allowed to be visibly disabled in public, because witnessing a disabled person is emotional labor.” Anything that causes a person emotional distress, even if that emotional distress is rooted in the distress-haver’s bigotry (Many nominally progressive people who would rightfully reject the bigoted logic of “Seeing gay or interracial couples upsets me, which is emotional labor, so they shouldn’t be allowed to exist in public” fully accept the bigoted logic of “Seeing disabled or poor people upsets me, which is emotional labor, so they shouldn’t be allowed to exist in public”).
Battered Wife Syndrome What it originally referred to: The all-encompassing trauma and fear of escalating violence experienced by people suffering ongoing domestic abuse, sometimes resulting in the abuse victim using necessary violence in self-defense. Because domestic abuse often escalates, often to murder, this fear is entirely rational and justified. This is the reasonable, justified belief that someone who beats you, stalks you, and threatens to kill you may actually kill you.
What it’s been distorted into: Like so many of these other items, the idea that women (in this case, women who are victims of domestic violence) don’t know what’s best for themselves. I debated including this one, because “syndrome” was a wrongful framing from the beginning – a justified and rational fear of escalating violence in a situation in which escalating violence is occurring is not a “syndrome.” But the original meaning at least partially acknowledged the material conditions of escalating violence.
I’m not saying the original meanings of these terms are ones I necessarily agree with – as a cognitive liberty absolutist, I’m unsurprisingly not that enamored of either second-wave feminism or 1970s addiction discourse. And as much as I dislike what “emotional labor” has become, I accept that “Women are unfairly expected to care about other people’s feelings more than men are” is a true statement.
What I am saying is that all of these terms originally, at least partly, took material conditions into account in their usage. Subsequent usage has entirely stripped the materialist critique and fully replaced it with emotional pathologization, specifically of women. Acknowledgement that women have their choices constrained by poverty, violence, and oppression has been replaced with the idea that women don’t know what’s best for themselves and need to be coercively “helped” for their own good. Acknowledgement that working-class women experience a gender-and-class-specific form of economic exploitation has been rebranded as yet another variation of “Disabled people are burdensome for wanting to exist.”
Over and over, materialist critiques are reframed as emotional or cognitive defects of marginalized people. The next time you hear a superficially sympathetic (but actually pathologizing) argument for “Marginalized people make bad choices because…” consider stopping and asking: “Wait, who are we to assume that this person’s choices are ‘bad’? And if they are, is there something about their material conditions that constrains their options or makes the ‘bad’ choice the best available option?”

WEEK ONE: GOJO SATORU — [blindfold]
tags: boypussy gojo, squirting, shaking, blindfolding, gojo calling reader “daddy”, top male reader
summary: gojo always wears a blindfold, but you prefer it when you see his tears soak through it.
a/n: why is this so BADDDD I promise it’s bc uni is giving me assignments and doing that on top of this is BONE CRACKING. may take a small break and slow down..
Tumblr media
“oh god!— daddy fuck!” gojo practically screams as his nails scratch at your chest, the feeling of your fat cock stretching out his tight pussy was enough to make his eyes roll back, tears soaking the cloth of his blindfold. you think gojo looks so pretty like this, all broken and weeping, his pretty pussy clenching so hard on your cock as if he was begging to keep you there.
his clit is throbbing painfully, and if he wasn’t such a good boy he’d definitely be rubbing hard circles on the sensitive nub, allowing his pending orgasm to crash into him faster, he’s already came around three times, two of them causing him to squirt — gojo almost thought he’d pass out after that, but when he felt your wet cock moving inside him again, pressing against the soft walls of his pussy just nicely, he knew he had to be awake.
“daddy? that’s a new one” you said softly, hissing when you felt your cock drive deeper into gojo’s cunt, body trembling just a little. you’re no better than him, your orgasm was so close, and you’ve been holding it back for a while now, edging yourself to make sure gojo is getting the best experience — he always came first.
you gently run your hands over gojo’s torso, your fingers light touches contrasted the way your cock thrusted into his pussy, and it drove gojo crazy, he wasn’t expecting you to be so rough and gentle at the same time, it was mind breaking and almost too much to handle — but gojo always handled it, he always took everything like a good boy and you made sure he knew that.
“taking it so well baby..g’na cum inside you soon” you groaned, your fingers finally playing with gojo’s clit, and you took pleasure in watching his back arch and his eyes go wide, he looked beautiful like this, trembling and on the verge of screaming, you could tell he was about to cum, just from the way his body stilled and tensed.
and soon enough you felt it, the gush of fluid spraying on your abdomen once again, your cock inevitably slipping out of gojo’s pussy, rubbing between his folds as he squirted, your tip bumping his clit. gojo’s squeals felt like music to your ears, and the way his thighs trembled violently you couldn’t hold back from gripping them, fingers squeezing into the soft muscle hard enough to bruise. you liked that, making gojo so cock dumb that he’d feel the remnants of everything that occurred the next day, until he was fidgeting every time he sat down because his clit was so sensitive.
“fuck- oh fuck..can’t take it anymore..” gojo slurred, his eyes rolling back as his body twitched, he was so overstimulated, and as your cock slipped back inside him he couldn’t even protest, his hands just weakly resting on your lower abdomen, a signal to get you to go slow. you complied, your hips thrusting back into gojo slowly, groaning when you were finally encompassed by that warm, wet heat once more.
“that’s it baby, g’na fill you up now ‘kay?” you mumbled, your hands gripping at gojo’s hips so you could thrust into him faster, you’ve been holding off this orgasm for ages, and now it was coming closer, there was no way you could hold it back now. you were quick to press you lips against gojo’s, your tongue slipping into his mouth as your cock pulsed inside him, finally spilling your seed and cumming inside him. it was a bone crushing orgasm, better than heaven himself as your thrusts came to a slow stop, riding out your high and relishing in the warmth that gojo brought you.
“holy fuck, that was..” gojo huffed, running a hand through his sweaty hair as he finally removed the tear stained blindfold, his eyes wet with tears that were starting to dry up.
“amazing..that was amazing..” you muttered, a lazy smile creeping onto your face as you layed against gojo, there was something so nice about post sex, maybe it was the tiredness, but it was nice, as if your body was levitating.
you’re definitely gonna both be feeling this tomorrow.
