This is kinda related to the post about Volks still having some dog habits after he's turned human again, but what would happen if he just randomly started howling in front of our character?
I think Volks would only howl if he was joking lol. The growling and biting is kinda subconscious but he's human enough that he doesn't really get the strong urge to howl anymore.
That being said, I think if you howl at him first, then he'll respond with his own.
At first he'll think you're making fun of him and he'll just kind of look confused. If you keep egging him on though he'll go "...Awoo? Is that what you want?"
I think it'll kind of become a running bit where the two of you just awooo at each other randomly

my attempt at making a fursona
