killua is not a pda guy. the most he’ll do in public is hold your hand and even that’s a coin toss. he isn’t that fond of things like that anyway, but mostly he’s just worried that if an enemy of his sees you with him that they’ll target you in order to hurt killua. he’ll never admit that, though.

in private it is a different story. he lets you play with his hair and likes to lay with his head in your lap. once he fell asleep like that and woke up so embarrassed even though you told him over and over that it was fine and you thought it was cute, which just made it worse. it’s rare he’s the one initiating physical affection, but it does happen. it’s slightly awkward when you first start dating though, since obviously that’s a new concept to killua. i can definitely imagine him doing that yawn and stretch move when you’re watching a movie or something, but when you reciprocate his affection killua gets all flustered.

killua has legitimately no idea what to do in a romantic relationship. hell, he doesn’t know what a good family relationship should even look like, and he never made a friend until he was like 12, so healthy relationships are a foreign concept. he will be absolutely flabbergasted when you buy him gifts every once in a while just to make him happy, and he’s shocked when you buy him chocolate robots for Valentine’s Day, and he is beyond confused when you give him compliments or tell him that you love him.

killua always admonishes you when you buy him stuff. whenever you bring him something he’ll just stare at it and scoff. “why do you even bother buying me stuff? i’m rich enough to buy your whole family and more, so why do you even bother getting me stuff like this?”

he always takes it anyway so don’t even mind him. killua has a specific place where he keeps your gifts. when he’s away from home he keeps them on him in a knapsack or wherever he’s staying at the time, but when he’s at the zoldyck mansion, killua locks everything away in a box safely hidden and always keeps the key on him so his family can’t get to it.

speaking of his family. you are definitely out of your mind if you think killua is willingly taking you to meet them. absolutely not in a million years. if ever killua does need to go back to his home for something, usually to check on alluka, you are staying wherever you are until he gets back. he will also ask gon to keep an eye on you if gon happens to be traveling with you. killua would rather his family just not know about you at all lest the zoldycks do the same to you as they sometimes do with alluka- capture you, and then hold you over killua’s head and threaten you whenever they want him to do something.

okay enough with the angsty stuff and back to how literally clueless killua is about dating. when gon who is the rizz god for some fucking reason informs him that he needs to take you out on dates, killua is blindsided. at first he just takes you places he likes to go, like the skate park or heavens arena to watch fights, but gon pulls him aside again at some point and says that he needs to take you places that you enjoy. which is something that killua is kind of stubborn about at first, but he does actually want to make you happy, so he obliges.

there’s this post on like twitter or something where this guy is talking about how since spending time with his gf she has him watching stupid shit he would never watch like twilight or grey’s anatomy. that is basically what happens with killua. he’s doing stuff with you that he never thought he would do in a million years and enjoying it for whatever reason. don’t tell anyone though because he gets so embarrassed

one of the things he found out that he likes is wearing eyeliner. you made sone offhanded comment about it and that his eyes look like a cat’s and suddenly you were doing eyeliner for him. it took a lot of convincing, but when killua sees how good it looks on him, he’s asking you to do it for him every day. eventually you teach him how to do it himself as well

killua winds up going to gon a lot for relationship advice. what does he do when you’re sad? go to gon. what should he do for your birthday? ask gon! should he get you new shoes or a new jacket? what do you think, gon?

killua rarely lets you pay for stuff. he’s rich so he doesn’t see why he should

whenever you’re on your phone or reading a book or something, killua will randomly appear behind you and put his head on your shoulder and just watch what you’re doing in silence. but if he sees you’re doing something like online shopping, just scrolling through items, killua will tap the screen whenever he sees something he likes for you. he especially likes to pick out your clothes, and he’s actually good at it. unlike the going out on dates thing, he picks out what he thinks you will like and what looks good on you. honestly killua was the only character who actually changed clothes every day in the show so he’s good with fashion lmao. most of the time he’ll buy the item for you too

killua also doesn’t mind too much if you steal his clothes, like his hoodies or hats. he might not let you take the newer stuff, but he doesn’t mind letting you parade around in his clothes. on the flip side he will also steal some of yours.

killua is very much that bf who claims “im not hungry” but then proceeds to steal half your food. so you’ve learned that whenever he says that to order twice the food

around people he knows, mainly people he doesn’t like, killua likes to show you off- but in a subtler way. like he might casually hold your hand just to show everyone “yeah, i have a partner. no big deal haha”

you literally never have to worry about killua cheating on you. he is fiercely loyal. he’s not one of those bfs that, when approached by another girl or guy, is like “oh, im sorry, but i have a partner.” nah he’s sprinting full speed in the opposite direction of whoever’s trying to approach him. either that or he’s just super rude to anyone who asks for his number or is romantically interested in him.

killua may or may not go a little overboard with his jealousy at times, though. he might mistake a simple interaction for someone trying to get with you

Shuriri fair/amusement park hcs

A/N: shuriri has been on my mind heavy lately They are just too cute I'm literally crying. I hope y'all enjoy this while I work on a fic for them

They love going to the fair at night, it's more peaceful and so much more vibrant at that time in their opinion.

Shuri is terrified of roller coasters and gets motion sickness bad. But she sucks it up for Riri who is the complete opposite and loves roller coasters (Riri repays Shuri in kisses for going out of her comfort zone for her)

17. Who fell in love first? Satine, based on the whole "I've loved you since the moment you came to my aid." Was it from the very first moment? I mean, probably not (they definitely irritated the shit out of each other first). But I think Satine falls hard and loves hard. We've seen how Obi-Wan struggled a lot with his feelings as a Padawan pre-TPM so his affection for Satine was probably tough to sort through. I don't think she had that problem. She strikes me as being incredibly aware of what she is feeling. I think she recognized her love for him long before he did, even if they didn't say it out loud for a while. 27. What random everyday object/activity makes them think of each other? For Obi-Wan, I'd imagine Satine's Force signature is really distinct to him. He's known her for so long, and he knows her as Satine and as Duchess and as a stranger, friend, and lover. The Force probably moves around her in a way that is unlike anyone or anything else he knows. So, I think when he takes apart his lightsaber and holds his kyber crystal in his hand and he feels that power-comfort-energy, this carrier of the Force that is completely unique and feels like nothing else, he is reminded of her (even though she'd probably be less than pleased that he thinks about her in connection to a weapon). But, I also think he is sort of a dork and he'll be like, "Hey Satine, I saw a flower today and it wasn't a lily but it was a flower and you know, you always wear flowers and you're my flower and it really reminded me of you." Meanwhile, Satine is reminded of Obi-Wan when she puts on her ceremonial gown every day. I wrote a fic a while back where he was with her when she had her first portraits taken as Duchess, and so I HC that he was there when she put on her royal regalia for the first time as well. I imagine it as this hugely overwhelming experience because for the past year, she's worn the same beat-up outfit and has been running for her life with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, and then suddenly she is putting on this lavish dress (that she probably inherited from her mother who had been dead for so long at that point) and has to step into her Duchess role. Obi-Wan was there to stand guard, but was also there because she asked him to be there. He tells funny jokes and makes her laugh. When she has a group of aids helping her put this outfit on that feels so out of place and she feels a little like she is suffocating under the weight of her duty, he keeps a smile on her face. So on days when everything has become a little too much and the weight of everything becomes so heavy, she thinks of him making her giggle about something or other, and even nearly twenty years later, she feels better.

How did they fall in love?

I think for Kenduli that’s an interesting one because, as childhood friends there’s always beenlove there—it’s just it manifesting as romantic that’s more tricky. I go between ideas on this, but keeping things mostly canon compliant I would say Luminara would only allow herself to think of Obi-Wan like that post Barriss’ betrayal. At that point she’s facing the reality that if you want someone to know you care about them sometimes you have to tell them that – and after Barriss, Obi-Wan is probably the person she cares for the most.

That’s not to say they haven’t been together in other forms prior to that, I am very pro the Luminara and Obi-Wan friends-with-benefits arrangement that could have existed from when they are much younger. For Obi-Wan I think it’s more of a steady build than a sudden realisation—he’s got terrible luck (RIP Satine and Qui-Gon) when it comes to the people he loves so I think he’d keep a distance, wait for her to initiate that if she ever wants to. He loves her, and she him, and they always have—but taking that next step is something he’d leave in her hands.

Who fell first?

It’s a similar thing here where there is no strict falling as much as it’s this steady incline of affection and familiarity. That said, I think maybe it manifests more in Luminara first in unconscious ways. For teenaged Luminara, I think my favourite hc is that she has an underlying envy that manifests in ways she wouldn’t understand—for example, when it comes to Satine, she is not jealous of Satine or the relationship that she and Obi-Wan have but potentially of the bond, the closeness that she wouldn’t ever allow herself to have that young. So I guess that could count as falling first? Not that she would know it lol

Obi-Wan knows this, and so he would never push. But hey, maybe if Luminara had been more open before he met Satine they could have gotten together much sooner? So, in conclusion, I think they’ve both been that way all along.

Who would confess first and how?

I’ve written a few versions of this and I think my favourite is when it’s not a confession of love, it’s a confession of possession. And in that case, it would have to be Luminara. She loves her friends, maybe she won’t use that word but Obi-Wan knows that, Quinlan knows that—what the real confession is, the thing that plagues her, is the desire for fidelity, and in turn possession. Friends-with-benefits is fine but it’s when she wants him to herself that confession comes in.

To be clear, I don't mean possession in a: oh my god he's so possessive (Anakin) way! I just mean it in the claiming of something, the claiming of Obi-Wan's fidelity.

Obi-Wan’s played that game before, he felt it for Satine but that didn’t work out—these are feelings he’s been through and understands. And he can’t force Luminara to be okay with those feelings, there are many Jedi who would never be, so it would be his kindness to not say anything until she does.

First kiss, and how would it go?

This one’s fun because it’s another I’ve written a few different ways, but I would say it’s probably when they’re quite young—like the 15-17 age range. It’s pretty harmless, a bit awkward like most first kisses are but it’s not only their first kiss with each other it’s also their first kiss ever so that’s to be expected lol. The safety of having those experiences with each other, who they trust so implicitly, leaves an affection between them that’ll never disappear.

How would their first date go?

I mean, these fools have been going on dates all their lives—their first date was probably a toddler play date lmao. But if we’re talking a proper date date then I think they’d keep it simple. He cooks for her, they just talk for a while, maybe go out for a long walk after. Their daily lives are full of such chaos that the calm of their relationship is incredibly important.

It wouldn’t have been an official date because Luminara’s emotionally constipated and Quinlan probably tagged along but when they’re in their twenties I think they had a bit more of an outgoing taste, like bars and clubs. Maybe that’s me projecting, but the experience of barely being able to think with the music blasting and being surrounded by so many people would probably be something they’d both enjoy at that time. They’ll grow out of that one, though, lol

Who’s more likely to get jealous if someone makes a pass at their partner?

Neither Luminara nor Obi-Wan strike me as particularly jealous people. I mentioned that Luminara has an unconscious jealousy of Obi-Wan’s ability to be open when they’re young but that’s not really targeted at any person other than disappointment in herself. The core of their relationship is an unshakable trust, and because of that neither of them have any concern about the other betraying them in any way.

That said, it definitely depends on how the pass is made. If it’s just a little harmless flirting then I think they’d just find it amusing, maybe even encourage it a little, but if it’s like a physical grabbing or something that clearly makes them uncomfortable then the other would step in. So maybe Obi-Wan, just because Star Wars has lots of sexism (really cool move I hate it), and if anyone ever made an inappropriate pass at Luminara he would shut it down pretty quickly even though she’s very capable of doing it herself. But it’s more concern for her safety than it is jealousy, if that makes sense?

What are some songs/quotes/poems/stories/movies that make you think of Kenduli? I always write and draw to music so there’s a lot of stuff I associate with them even though there’s no real connection. ❀ And then there’s Leorio. He would initially be a bit jealous. He’s such a flirt and much older with more experience, and it’s KILLUA who managed to get a super hot SUPERMODEL as a girlfriend?!

❀ So, out of jealousy, he might tease Killua a little, but nothing serious!

I originally wanted to make two separate posts about this but i’m actually making a single one : the overarching theme of love, redemption, second chances and Togashi’s overall positive and optimistic writing are leading me to believe a few things concerning Killua and Gon’s relationship, namely that we’ll get an explicit romantic confession to canonize their relationship, but also that Gon is actually the one who fell for Killua first.

First of all, I know I say it a lot but I really, really do believe that by the end of the manga, Killua and Gon’s relationship will be a canon romantic one. I wrote a short post about this already, but I’m gonna explain briefly my point of view on this as I believe it’s important and relevant to the points I want to try and make in this post.

• Killua is pretty much canonically in love with Gon. There’s just too much subtext concerning this matter, and the “shinjuu” line single-handedly canonizes that fact. Togashi is a very, very smart man, and doesn’t throw random words around, he knows the weight of the word shinjuu and what it implies, and the entire chimera ant arc focuses on Killua’s feelings towards Gon, so there is no doubt in my mind that Killua canonically has romantic feelings for him. These two tweets live in my head rent free because it’s so wonderfully written, so here you go :

• I also deeply believe that Togashi would never leave this ambiguous. I wrote a full post about this if you want to read it, but basically, it doesn’t fit Togashi’s writing style. A lot of people say that Togashi’s queer rep is ambiguous in HxH, but it’s unfair because HxH is literally not over yet. There are still ambiguous things because the manga is still developing. Thing is, Togashi has put queer characters in his previous works, and it was never ambiguous. It was always explicitely stated. Same goes for the relationships between his characters. There’s no reason to believe this wouldn’t be the case for HxH.

• Togashi’s positive writing is echoed in Killua’s story arc, in the sense that Killua reflects Togashi’s optimistic writing style and the overarching theme of love, redemption, second chances and the power human connection. 

Killua’s character arc is one of slowly changing your life around, becoming your best self with a little help from someone to show you the way, it’s about positive growth, healing from trauma and going against what people think of you. It’s about healing and becoming your best self, no matter what.

It’s a very positive character arc, and one that’s been thoroughly demonstrated during the entire story.

That’s why Killua’s romantic feelings towards Gon could never stay unrequited one way or another, because it just would defeat the entire positive narrative of Killua’s character arc. Because Killua’s character arc is about healing and growing, and even though you thought you could never do that, learn how to love. It’s about finding love after abuse. 

And to me, the only way to complete that story arc, when we know that Killua canonically has romantic feelings towards Gon, would be for Gon to return those feelings. Because Killua’s character arc isn’t only about learning how to love someone no matter what, but also about being loved in return. That’s how you complete Killua’s positive story arc. 

I’ll come back to this theme a bit later on, though.

• There’s no way Shonen Jump can intervene and censor HxH. Now, I think I’m one of the few meta writers who actually believes this, but I’m 100% convinced that Shonen Jump always knew that HxH is queer work. I wrote multiple posts about this : the first post I linked mentions why SJ probably knows ; on the general gay subtext in both anime adaptations ; on 99 specifically and finally on the fact that it’s weird that gay subtext was emphasized in 99 anime when there was none in canon material only for it to appear later on in the manga.

But to summarize, there’s just no way Shonen Jump doesn’t know. 

First of all, Hunter x Hunter is published right after Yu Yu Hakusho. Thing is, Togashi ended YYH for a few reasons, but one of them was because he didn’t feel free of doing what he wanted to do with his story, because Jump kept on declining his ideas.

This led him to completely drop the story. Now, if you’re a manga writer who’s been deeply disgusted by how your last manga was controlled, what would you do ? I’m sure you would make 100% sure you could take your next story wherever you wanted. And I’m certain that’s what Togashi did. Because to be able to write his story the way he wanted, he had to make sure SJ would allow him to go anywhere he wanted. That includes his characters and their relationship dynamics, which are the basics when you pitch a story.

Togashi also emphasized in one of his interviews that he’s free to do whatever he wants.

Furthermore, Togashi’s editors and Shonen Jump aren’t dumb. They can definitely pick up on the gay subtext. If they didn’t want gay things in HxH, they would’ve never let Togashi publish some chapters, ESPECIALLY the chapter where Killua declares he’ll commit shinjuu with Gon. SJ isn’t dumb. Shinjuu hits HARD, especially in japanese, so they definitely know what it means (it’s literally the equivalent to saying them dying together would be like Romeo and Juliet).

Finally, and that’s half crack-theory half serious, but one of the main reasons I believe SJ knows is because of the 99 anime adaptation. It was HxH’s first anime adaptation, and Togashi was involved in it to some extent. Now, 99 is extremely gay. I linked the posts where I talk about it above, but basically, it’s rainbow flags overlay on top of the characters in the opening, gay opening and ending song lyrics, over the top gay lines and situations.... which is interesting. Because like i mentioned in one of these posts, it’s interesting that this gay subtext was present and highlighted in the anime adaptation when there was none in the manga at that stage. It’s very, very interesting that gay subtext appeared later on in the manga, after the anime adaptation went crazy with it. I firmly believe it’s because Togashi pitched his manga as gay to the 99 animators, and if so, that’d mean SJ would also know.

Anyways ! In short, I believe Killua and Gon’s relationship will become canon by the end of the manga because there’s no risk of editorial meddling since SJ probably knows this is where the story is going. Killua’s romantic feelings are also pretty much canon, and the only way to complete his positive character arc would be to have Gon return those feelings and prove that you’re worthy of love no matter what. Finally, Togashi would never leave it ambiguous, because that’s something he’s never done before, and Killua and Gon’s relationship has never been portrayed as ambiguous nor subtle, it’s still developing.

Now !! This was just an introduction to what I wanted to talk about in this post, I’m sorry you still have a bit more reading to do HAHAA

But ! 

With this belief in mind that Killugon will be canon in the end, there are two things I want to talk about.

• First, I genuinely believe we’ll get a romantic, highly emotional love confession scene between the two of them. For the sole fact that it’s something deeply intertwined with Killua’s character arc.

Like I mentioned above, Killua’s arc is about overcoming trauma and having a second chance at life, a chance to be better, a chance to be your best self. His arc is about opening up his heart to new experiences and new feelings, and learning how to love and pass that love around. His story arc is representation for trauma survivors that things can and will get better, and you can overcome anything, turn your entire life around, heal, and thrive.

And to me, the completion of that story arc is definitely to show that not only can you learn to open up your heart and love someone, but that you can be loved for who you are. That someone can look at you for who you are, accept you and love you no matter what. You can be loved by someone the same way you love them, in a romantic way.

To me, that’s where the story is going. Considering Killua’s canonical romantic feelings, and the overall positive themes surrounding his character arc, there’s no doubt in my mind that this is the message Togashi wants to convey.

And in my opinion, this message wouldn’t be delivered ambiguously or subtly. This narrative of being loved has always been enforced through highly emotional scenes throughout the manga, to highlight the message that yes !! you, trauma survivor !! can be loved for who you are !!

It’s been expressed through that emotional scene where Nanika tells Killua she loves him, for example.

It’s also been displayed in the countless scenes where Gon expresses his love for Killua, expresses his admiration for him, how he’s glad he’s met him, how happy he makes him, how Killua is his best friend in the entire world.... It’s been conveyed through the stargazing scene on Whale Island, through the entire Zoldyck Family Arc where Gon waltzs in the Zoldyck Mansion to rescue Killua, through the scene in Greed Island Arc where Gon tells him he’s glad to have met him, through the dodgeball match scene where Gon declares that it can only be Killua holding the ball, through the moment Gon says that the first thing he’ll do when he sees Ging is introduce him to his best friend in the whole world, Killua. 

Togashi could have chosen to show and not tell that Gon cares a lot about Killua, and that he finally found someone who loves him for who he is. He could’ve made them hang out normally, and we would’ve understood that Killua found someone who accepts him. But no, this has always been the main theme of HxH. Seeing the both of them grow closer and closer and grow and heal together. He chose to highlight the fact that he’s loved and cared for through words of affirmation to emphasize the narrative of being loved after surviving trauma. For the purpose of providing an extremely clear message of love to trauma and abuse survivors who identify with Killua : that you can find someone like Gon, someone who will love you for who you are. Togashi wanted to make it explicitly clear.

So now, since all of these words of affirmation were “platonic” (i’ll come back to the quotation marks in the last part of this post), but still highly emotional :

Wouldn’t it make sense that the romantic application of this narrative would also be portrayed through a highly emotional scene ? 

For the sole purpose of highlighting the final message of Killua’s story arc of overcoming your past and being loved and accepted for who you are, in a romantic way this time ? Of being loved the same way you love ? 

Since we’ve had so many platonic reaffirmations of this idea, I think it’d be fitting for the romantic part of the narrative to be conveyed through a highly emotional scene. Like a confession scene under the stars that would parallel the stargazing scene on Whale Island, for example, since stars are thematically fitting since they are linked to Killua’s story echoing Tanabata. 

An open love confession would be the final and ultimate way to cement that narrative of loving and being loved. A highly emotional scene, just like we’ve always had, to demonstrate the romantic application of the theme of being loved after experiencing trauma. The ultimate, non-ambiguous message of unconditional love for trauma survivors. 

Showing that you, trauma survivor who identifies with Killua, can learn to love yourself, love someone else and be loved in return.

• Keeping Killua’s character arc in mind, I want to adress a final point that I deeply believe is true. 

To me, Gon is the one that actually fell in love with Killua first.

Thing is, Gon is that type of character that acts first and thinks later on. He always does things on instinct, only giving it thought after the thing happened. So it 100% makes sense that it would apply to romantic feelings too. That’s why, to me, it’s very likely that Gon fell in love first but just didn’t realize it was romantic feelings, because he’s 12, never really thought about it and feelings are confusing. And to me, Togashi is setting up feelings realization on Gon’s part.

Gon has always behaved very intensely with Killua, always reaffirming how much he means to him. He’s always taken onto that role of providing Killua with love from the moment he met him. He accepted him for who he is, and always made him feel cared for. 

Togashi definitely planted the seeds for a possible interpretation of this idea of him falling first. The stargazing scene on Whale Island is just.... so romantic in nature. Gon tells Killua that he’s happy when he’s with him under a starry night sky, tells him he wants to travel the world with him and stay with him, because his presence next to him fills him with joy. Then we have his constant words of affirmation towards Killua, and how cool he is, how amazing and strong he is...

But to me, what really convinces me that Gon fell first is Greed Island arc. Gon’s behavior towards Killua during this arc was extremely emotional. It was deep, deep care and love for his best friend. We get to see him blush as he tells Killua that he’s really, really glad he’s here with him and glad he’s met him.

We get to see him declare that the first thing he’ll do when he finds Ging will be to introduce his amazing best friend to him.

But honestly, what made my brain explode is the dodgeball scene. 

Because as I mentioned in this post, the phrasing Gon uses is one that is used in romantic contexts to confess to someone. It’s a love declaration, literally. And I don’t believe Gon meant it as romantic, because he probably has no idea his feelings are romantic in nature. But. Togashi is a troll. He really, really enjoys toying with his readers. 

To me, the fact this sentence is romantic in nature could be Togashi putting Gon’s feelings right in front of our faces, hiding it in double meaning but still plainly there for us to see. It could be Togashi toying with us in the process of setting up Gon’s feelings, so that when it gets canonized that Gon fell first, on a re-read of the manga, you go “oh. that sentence is romantic. it was literally right in front of our eyes the entire time”. I’m probably reaching !!! but!!!! the fact is, this sentence is still romantic in meaning. It’s still coated in romantic subtext. And that’s intentional on Togashi’s part.

I’ll link this magnificent post by Quintessence that basically explains what I just said much better.

In short, it would totally make sense that Gon fell first. It wouldn’t come out of nowhere, since Gon’s behavior from the beginning of the manga can definitely be interpreted as romantic in nature. The countless emotional scenes where he asserts how much he cares for Killua can definitely be read as romantic, and Gon’s behavior can definitely be explained by him having a crush on Killua, despite him not knowing.

Now, the thing that makes me further believe this is true is the fact that symbolically speaking, it makes sense that Gon fell in love with Killua first. It would enforce the narrative of Killua’s character arc of being loved for who you are and not having to earn love.

It would literally dismiss everything Killua believes about having to earn the right to be loved. About having to earn his place right next to Gon. About having to change to be good enough for Gon.

Because if Gon fell first, then Killua was loved for who he is from the beginning, from the moment they met. Killua didn’t have to earn his love, like he thought he had to, especially in CAA, because he was loved the same way all along.

It’d show that Gon didn’t start to love Killua because Killua earned that right by changing for Gon. He didn’t start to love Killua when he started to heal and change his life to become a good person. He was always loved for who he is because Gon always saw him and loved him no matter what.

And that would once again highlight Killua’s character arc beautifully. It’d show that you are worthy of love even if you literally just came out of years of abuse. That someone can look at you and instantly fall in love with you, no matter how broken and unworthy of love you think you are. You never, ever had to earn that love. It was always here to begin with.

It’d break Chimera Ant Arc completely, it’d break Killua’s belief that he was unworthy of staying by Gon’s side and that he had to earn his place. Because he was always loved and never had to earn his right to stay by Gon, because Gon wanted him there all along. 

And that is a beautiful, deeply symbolic meaning that would complement Killua’s character arc perfectly.

It’d be Togashi showing trauma survivors that you can heal and love yourself, learn how love someone else and be loved in return. 

Showing trauma survivors that you don’t have to prove your worth to be loved. That just like Killua, even if you came out of years of abuse, a broken, scared person, you’re always worthy of love. That you’re worthy of love at any stage of your healing phase. That you’re worthy of love no matter how broken you feel you are. 

Someone will always love you and accept you for who you are. 

Anyways !! Thank you for reading this !! Those two headcanons are really precious to me and I really do believe they could come true. Because it’d make sense in so many ways ! 

I know it’s hard to imagine such a thing happening, because queer representation has always been ambiguous that it’s hard to fathom a manga being openly gay, but I really want to be optimistic about it. We got the subtext, the author interested in LGBT-rep, the positive narrative and virtually no risk of being censored. 

So I want to stay optimistic on this and believe that we’ll get a romantic love confession as a way to canonize their relationship, and that it’ll become evident one way or another that Gon fell in love with Killua first.

oh wow it’s weirdly hard for me to list hcs off the top of my head bc the things i think about hxh are truly just canon to me now XD this is what happens when you’re in a fandom for 3.5 years BUT i’ll do my best

- gon fell in love first, specifically during the hunter exam. killua fell in love right at the end of the testing gate arc. i wrote a whole meta on this point lol

- killua has many many scars

- both gon & killua get chronic nightmares. gon’s come after the chimera ant arc specifically

- killua has a bunch of phobias/triggers from seemingly minor things—being restrained, small spaces, prolonged darkness, etc

- gon picks killua wildflowers whenever he sees them. he also gives killua cool rocks, leaves, etc

- both killua & leorio dealt with food insecurity as children

But if you ask he could never say no ofc

You’d always ask him to pet your head whenever you two are cuddling/watching a movie and slowly overtime he’d gotten used to that routine

So now he feels a little off when he doesn’t get to hold you and pat your head

Happy 50th birthday, Ewan!!

He’s super impulsive, though usually he winds up overthinking his actions later. Such as when he skipped out on a meeting with Master Yoda, so he could spend the day with you. All you did was spend the day holding hands and trying to find the brightest, tallest building on Coruscant. When he came back to the temple, past curfew, he immediately felt he shouldn’t have gone out in the first place, but Qui-Gon told him, “it’s good for you,” with a smile and said nothing more on the matter.

You were the first person (outside of the Jedi) that he showed his kyber crystal and lightsaber to. When he brought you the crystal he let you hold it and fell in love with the way you looked at it. “Looks like you’re on your way to being a Master Jedi Knight then?” you asked, “that’s pretty dangerous.” / “How ‘bout a kiss for good luck then?” he tried, smirking. You rolled your eyes and kissed the crystal instead, keeping eye contact with him, before handing it back to him, “there, good luck,” you smiled.

He’s surprisingly handsy. Obi always wants to be holding your hand, he likes the way you lace your fingers with his. And he especially love dit when you hold his hand with both of yours, as if forces you to be a little closer. He holds onto you like you’re the most important thing in his life. When it’s just the two of you, he’s got an arm around your waist, keeping you beside him as closely as possible. When you’re playing hard to get he’ll wrap both his arms around you from behind, usually causing you to go into a giggle fit as he literally picks you up. 

↳ throwing your head back against the top of his shoulder when he lifts you up, he peppers kisses against the side of your neck, your cheek, and even in your hair. With an “okay, okay, I give up-” he sets you back on your feet and you lean in to kiss him properly before giving a soft shove to his chest and darting off again starting the whole chase over again. 

Obi 100% lets you re-braid his Padawan braid. He’ll sit between your knees, elbows resting against your thighs on either side of him, as you softly comb through it with your fingers and section it off to begin the braid. He did almost get in trouble with Master Yoda for having it tied with a bow, not the traditional wrap. Obi hadn’t even noticed you tied a bow until then and the next time he saw you he told you he got in trouble for it. Naturally finding it funny you laughed, “it’s not funny- I could’ve been expelled from the order!” Your laughter stopped, but your smile didn’t, you had a longing look in your eyes, “would that be so bad?”

↳ he does know how to braid himself though, so on one of your dates you asked if he’d give you a “padawan braid,” for fun. He nervously asked you to gather up most of your hair, except for a strand over your right shoulder. For some reason he found it intimidating, maybe it was that it was on you, or just the fact that you were so calm, while he felt it was so intimate. Either way, he did it and you tied up your hair, letting the braid be the only thing down. Needless to say, he found it beyond attractive on you. 

You’ve met Qui-Gon, introduced as just a friend. Qui-Gon always gives you this smile and nod almost of approval when he sees you. After meeting you a few times, he send Obi-Wan to retreat something for him. Qui-Gon took this opportunity to talk to you, “you’re a very good match for him,” he said, causing you to look up at him, “don’t take offense to his loyalty to the Jedi. Despite it, I do wish the best for you both.”

↳ you’ve been pretty lucky in knowing Qui-Gon as he’d let you come to some of Obi’s practice duels, despite the judgement of this from the council. Qui-Gon also sends Obi with specific tasks in the city, knowing he’d undoubtably take you along on them. 

Stolen kisses, obviously you both have to be fairly cautious around the Jedi Temple when he brings you there, but that doesn’t mean you don’t take up the challenge. Archive dates are best, mainly because it’s quiet and practically no one’s down there. Behind the shelves he’ll wrap his arms around your waist as yours slip around his neck, each pulling the other into a kiss.

Qui-Gon also allows Obi-Wan to see you before any off planet assignments. They make you extremely nervous especially the older he got. “It won’t be long,” he assures you, whispering against the side of your neck. / You tighten your hug, “just. . . be careful, please.” / “Always,” he pulls back, swiping a thumb across your cheek, “promise you’ll wait?” / you lean into his touch, looking up through damp eyelashes, “always.”

Noya malfunctions as he stares back at your phone and back at you because

Once you left, Noya practically slid over to where Kageyama was sitting and sat directly in front of him 

“ Kageyama, how do you feel about having me as your brother in law?” 

“ Wha-You like my sister? Seriously?” Kageyama asked as he rubbed his sore ear,” she’s mean as hell.”

“ So are you but people still like you. Also, you shouldn’t talk badly about your beautiful sister like that. Also also, less talking and more eating. I have to let her know that you’re eating at lunch now.”

So for the next couple of weeks, Noya would text you to keep you updated that he was doing his duty and you honestly always looked forward to getting his texts because that meant you could talk to him more

You were both developing feelings for each other and Kageyama was creeped out to say the least

I’m sure if the birth order was reversed, he would be way more protective but it was just SO WEIRD seeing Noya gush all day during practice and go on and on about his sister and then go home to see you gush about Noya 

GAH so this is just a bonus but imagine you finally show up to the big shiratorizawa game and when they win, you run over to the team but your brain malfunctions because you don’t know who to hug first 

Like all three of you are just staring at each other like ummmm “ what the hell we gon do now?”

Killua and Shalnark x Dead Reader

Killua

Time absolutely freezes when he hears about what happened to you. At first he's conditioned to not believe it, but once it settles in and he realizes that you're actually gone, he's devastated on the inside.

The only people that see him cry are Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio and their hearts break at this poor bby's sobs. He genuinely tried his hardest to make you happy and it breaks him that even he wasn't enough for you (refer to side note)

After he finishes crying, that's the last time anyone sees him show any type of emotion for a while.

Without you, Killua is just numb

He misses you so much to the point where it's physically painful. He also contemplates committing as well but ultimately his friends stop him and make him realize that this isn't what you would have wanted.

He just misses the boy he fell in love with

Killua no longer makes fun of Leorio for looking like an old man, and doesn't joke around with Gon anymore. He's kind of an empty shell for a while.

A majority of his time is spent wondering why you did it and what was going on through your head.

He's conflicted because a part of him wants to push everyone he cares for away, but another part is scared of being alone and losing yet another person who is close to him.

Eventually Leorio (being a doctor and all) is the one to get Killua to open up about how he's feeling and all of the emotions he's been bottling up just come crashing out like a broken dam

It takes him a long long time to even remotely heal from what happened, but you're always in the back of his mind and he finds comfort in the fact that you're somewhere happier

Shalnark

Your death hits him harder than Uvogin's death. As opposed to pouring out his emotions or becoming completely numb, he continues on exactly how he was before.

Except the pain he feels is unbearable internally.

He's a much harsher person if you observe him carefully, but he also becomes clingier. Shalnark doesn't want anyone else he cares about to meet the same fate as his lover so he starts to become obsessed with making sure the members of the troupe are okay.

Eventually he starts taking things too far, and Phinks is the one to confront him. Shalnark denies how he feels and tries to continue life like it's normal, but Nobunaga backs Phinks up and they get through to Shalnark.

He finally breaks down and admits he just doesn't want to lose anyone else and he doesn't understand why you left him

He's so hurt and the troupe members don't know how to help him.

After Shalnark breaks down, he stays down. He doesn't try to keep up the façade that he is okay. Instead, it's visibly obvious that this boy is absolutely devastated over the death of his lover.

It takes Shalnark a very long time to come to terms with what happened, and a big part is accepting the fact that your problems were bigger than him and that one person couldn't cure you. With that in mind he starts to heal and realize that he did the best he could.

However he is still a lot less cheerful than he was in the past. Losing you is something that will take way longer to heal from completely, if he ever truly does.

natsuo is the pinacle of a good bf/husband, but he’s not special enough to not fall into the MD mindset 

doctors make for the worst patients

they also make the worst caretakers when it came to their own family 

you deadass have to be bleeding out on the floor before they consider taking you to the hospital 

you had gotten into a car accident and, you were okay, but you ended up with a dislocated shoulder and a consussion

natsuo was in the middle of a surgery and had to wait two hours before he could quickly text you once he heard word of your accident 

him: “y/n? please tell me you’re okay”

you: “i lived bitch”

him: “niceee”

as soon as natsuo heard that nothing life-threatening happened he just patted you on the back and said

“aren’t you a trooper!” 

when they went to pop your shoulder back in, you were scared out of your mind. you’re looking for support and this man deadass goes

“it’s just a little readjustment, babe. you’ll be fine” with that goofy ass smile

Sero Hanta: 

being a pro-hero could be fun and all, but it was dangerous as hell 

you two were called on a case with a few other heroes

the villain was a high-level threat, and you all were focused on disarming them before they could cause any more damage

sero’s quirk was more apt for disabling villians, so he focued on that

you were more of powerhouse, and focused on protecting him and others that were trying to take down the enemy

in the midst of things, you saw a mother and her child about to be crushed by falling debris

you push her out of the way, but you’re leg is crushed under the cement

the woman is crying, thanking you whiles begging to help you

despite the intense pain, you tell her you’ll be fine and she reluctantly leaves for a safer area

sero feels his heart stop as he observes the blood pooling by you body

tokoyami tells him that he can handle the rest and for him to go to you 

he doesnt have to be told twice

when he get over to you, he’s quickly thinking of ways to get the cement off of you 

meanwhile, youre more worried about the villain

due the adrenaline in both of your bodies, you start to bicker about what’s more important

sero is usually good at keeping a calm head under pressure, but your dissmsal of your injury was really starting to piss him off

“hanta, this doesnt matter! go help tokoyami!”

“just let me ensure that you don’t lose your leg, first” he snapped

“no! just go!”

“i’m just--”

“stop!”

“y/n--”

“sero--”

“GOD DAMN IT Y/N! WILL YOU JUST SHUT THE HELL UP AND LET ME HELP YOU!”

he never yelled at you like that before

you were kind of shook, so you just kept quiet

sero eventually got the rock off of you, but he was still pissed even after the enemy was detained

when you both got back from the hospital, you apologized for making him angry

your bf is quick to let go of his anger. he just sighs and holds you close

he apologizes for losing his cool

he loves you so much that seeing you injured makes him go crazy

so he figures out who you’re working for, and kills someone close to them, obviously leaving behind a trace so they have somewhat of an idea as to who he is, but still making it a hunt

he probably leaves a star and tear behind, something that only those who knew him would recognize

and so he watches you hunt him while he hunts you

you’re asking anyone and everyone if they recognize the star and tear, most people either having no clue, or recognizing it but keeping quiet about it in fear of what hisoka would do

eventually, someone says they know a person who draws a star and tear on their face — hisoka morrow

once hisoka hears that you know his name he is absolutely ecstatic, he probably reveals himself to you right after

“it has been so fun watching you search for me.”

“if you knew i was looking, why be a coward and hide?”

“there’s no fun if there’s no chase, darling.”

you guys battle it out, i imagine the fight is very close, but evidently you just can’t keep up with him

“you put up a beautiful fight…hmm, perhaps i’ll let you survive if you join me?”

out of breath and on the brink of death, he assumes you’re saying no

right as he goes for the finishing blow, you hold your hands up, and whisper through a mouth full of blood a small “i’ll do it.”

you kind of even forget you’re there on a job

but, when chrollo asks if you know about nen and what type of nen you use, you quickly remember why you’re there

Before you read: eeee I can’t believe this is my first hc that i’m writing after not writing anything for like 5 years!!! I hope I do okay in this piece. 

Request: Overhaul and Shigaraki as fathers of twins, and because of where the manga is currently, i am going to make this a quirkless AU 

* just a side note before I get into the headcannons, this will be a fem!reader only because I have not wrote for gender neutral so please understand that i am trying my best, hopefully in the next couple things I write will be GN or stated otherwise :) * 

TW: MENTIONS OF ABORTION & MENTIONS OF ABUSE (only in shigarakis though), AND SPOILER WARNINGS FOR SHIGARKI’S NAME AND IDENTIFICATION

-Overhaul (Chisaki Kai):

- first of all let’s take a look at him and Eri, this man HATED her. so you know what since this is an AU im just going to assume that he would be slightly more okay with having kids since there are no quirks for him to worry about

- I personally see kai as either a doctor or a health teacher, but no matter what you think his occupation is I know on thing for certain, this man loves you and his kids

- you and kai both agreed that you would have children you were all married and settled down with stable incomes but I also feel like if you were to get pregnant before getting settled down then yall would still love them both just as much

  - both of your children are named after traits that they portrayed when they were born. Akihito (meaning bright and compassionate) and Kenji (strong and healthy), with Akihito being born just 3 minuets before Kenji

- since they are twins they look the same and they take most of their looks from you, but as they get older kenji has more of kai’s personality and akihito has more of your personality

- since Kai has severe germaphobia, before he even thinks to change those kids’ diapers he put on the full mask and gloves, not the hazard suit because they are HIS kids

“Kai, sweetie can you change ‘hito’s diaper while I change kenji?”

and in comes kai fully decked out while you’re just deadpan

-when kenji and akihito get older, they both branch off into their own little worlds, so it get’s kind of difficult trying to play with one while the other wants to do something entirely different

-akihito is a total mommy’s boy and always want to play ‘princess and hero’ where he saves you from the bad guys (which he makes kai be, and he’ll do it only because he loves seeing his son so happy)

-Kenji wants to be just like his dad, saving peoples lives and caring for his family. kenji always wants to play doctor and he always looks to kai whenever he wants to play

“papa, can you teach me how to be a doctor. I want to be just like you”

- later that night after you guys tucked in the little ones, he cried while laying down in bed,

“kai, babe what’s wrong?” you ask, worried that he might be thinking about one of his patients again,

“kenji wants to be just like me, i’ve never been told that before.” he says, while trying to stop himself from producing even more tears.

- he somehow knows the difference between the twins from the get go, and not because of their personality traits, but very miniscule features of theirs.

- kenji has a little birthmark right on his wrist while akihito doesn’t

-whenever you’re at work and kai is home alone with the boys, he likes to color or play a combination of the two of their favorite games and when you come, you can either find them asleep on the floor or doing something and all of them are smiling and having a good time

-Tomura Shigaraki (Shimura Tenko):

- now this crusty mo musty gremlin

- he very much wanted as many kids as he wanted because he wants to give them the life that he couldn’t have

- since he was abused by his father, he fears that he may turn out like him so when you told him you were pregnant he was anxious

- when you told him that since the both of you were still kind of young, abortion was always an option but he quickly refused and told you how much he wants kids he’s just scared

- you reassured him that he was nothing like his father and his mood lightened 

- after going to the doctors and finding out you were pregnant with twins he became even more anxious, but you were still there for him

- when your kids kenzo & ami were born, tenko instantly fell in love.

-Kenzo, meaning humble and Ami, meaning second and beautiful, was just that. Kenzo was born first while Ami was born mere seconds after her brother.

- I personally see tenko as youtuber or a video game creator if he didn’t have a quirk, so he usually works from home so that means he spends a lot of time with his kids 

- he is definitely the type of dad to feed his kids candy or junk food for dinner when you’re not home OR he forgets to feed them all together until you remind him or they remind him

“Hey, did you feed the kids today while i was gon-”

you were not expecting to find him and your children eating a pie straight from the tin and this would be his defense,

“but it’s apple, you’re always telling us to eat more fruits”

yeah that day he got sent to the couch...

- since it’s cannon that tenko is very childish and acts like a child, he will get along with his babies so well but you swear you’re taking care of 3 kids instead of 2

- and since he has his child like tendencies, for example, your kids are very big on cuddling and you’re so comfy and warm that they just lay and cuddle into you and when tenko see’s this, he is jealous 

- he just looks over to you and just starts glaring at his kids and you

- sometimes if he’s really jealous, he’ll move his kids to lay on you

- going back to when you aren’t home, he is such a laid back dad,

“hey dad can i sit on your lap while you play your games?”

“sure, don’t move around though, you’ll distract me”

- ami is totally a daddy’s girl, she wants to play video games just like him

“Ami it’s time to do your homework’

“but daddy doesn’t do homework and i want to be just like him”

- now you make him do a addition sheet right next to her so she can do her work

- kenzo prefers to just silently play his own video games, he also wants to be like his daddy but he really means he likes video games

- both take your looks mostly and his personality and since they aren’t the same gender that means they’re fraternal twins

- taking care of 3 kids basically can be difficult, but since tenko himself is child like, he helps when it comes to entertaining and keeping them happy, and you couldn’t be happier
