It's been two years since I've seen home. Two years.

where do I begiiiiin I meant to post this piece at least 3 separate times in the past and just kept passing it up out of laziness (??) anxiety (??) akdsjhfkjsdahfj first was when I finished it around last Christmas, then I decided to postpone it for the day of my last 24 hour shift in the hospital, then graduation, then for BoB Week 2023-- and now here we are on a pretty arbitrary weekend in August!!!

anyway, the point of this was just to scream thank you to history, Doc Roe, and Shane Taylor for getting me through so many hurdles on my medical journey (especially that one all-nighter with too many crying newborns), and to celebrate what is now nearly my 11th year in the fandom!

I ultimately posted it this weekend because We Happy Few 506 suddenly put up the entire 2021 reunion interview of Shane Taylor, Lucie Jeanne, and so many other wonderful guests on Youtube and I devoured it IMMEDIATELY (link here, most important parts are at 1:10:45 and 1:45:36 IM DYING SLEDGE I HATE MATTHEW LEITCH SO MUCH HAHAHA) and am now still recovering from the sheer amount of emotion that we still have things like this more than 20 years after the show was released :(((((

Jason finally giving into affection re: Bruce but he does it Mandalorian style. which is to say he headbutts Bruce so hard he breaks his nose and then presses their foreheads together while Bruce bleeds everywhere. somehow this is cathartic for them both.

Adding to this post of mine about Jason resembling Bruce, I don’t really like the “Bruce is secretly his biological father” route because it’s just infinitely funnier when he’s NOT related to Jason whatsoever. They both are 100% sure of it, they’ve checked. Multiple times.

Just Jason looking in the mirror and seeing Bruce, never being able to escape his father no matter how much he tries. He’s literally going fucking insane because HOW THE FUCK IS HE DOING THAT??? THEYRE NOT EVEN RELATED SO HOW THE FUCK DOES HE HAVE BRUCE’S EYEBROWS, HIS EYES AND HIS CHIN?? Bruce’s fatherism is just that strong. It transcends genetics and it drives Jason insane.

It’s not even just Jason, Dick is stated to resemble Bruce too, to the point where he can literally impersonate him. Picture Dick, freshly moved out with raging, teenage angst fuelled anger issues, moves to a whole other city just to get away from Bruce only to get stopped on the streets multiple times by people calling him Bruce Wayne. He would go insane
