Adding to this post of mine about Jason resembling Bruce, I don’t really like the “Bruce is secretly his biological father” route because it’s just infinitely funnier when he’s NOT related to Jason whatsoever. They both are 100% sure of it, they’ve checked. Multiple times.

Just Jason looking in the mirror and seeing Bruce, never being able to escape his father no matter how much he tries. He’s literally going fucking insane because HOW THE FUCK IS HE DOING THAT??? THEYRE NOT EVEN RELATED SO HOW THE FUCK DOES HE HAVE BRUCE’S EYEBROWS, HIS EYES AND HIS CHIN?? Bruce’s fatherism is just that strong. It transcends genetics and it drives Jason insane.

It’s not even just Jason, Dick is stated to resemble Bruce too, to the point where he can literally impersonate him. Picture Dick, freshly moved out with raging, teenage angst fuelled anger issues, moves to a whole other city just to get away from Bruce only to get stopped on the streets multiple times by people calling him Bruce Wayne. He would go insane

Hey guys !! Here's a little writing post for tonight since i once again suffer from art block and i couldn't really get my thoughts on canvas so at least i'll write them down for you🥹🫶🏻

I had a little poetic moment about Cybertronians and how each bot from the Lost Light might view humans in their own way. Here’s how i think a few of them might feel, translated into their own brand of poetic musing:

Rodimus

"They’re like embers scattered on a night’s breeze. Small, insistent, daring to claim a spark of the vast unknown. Fragile? Yes, but isn’t fragility the very flame that burns the brightest in the dark?"

I think Rodimus sees in humans a little bit of reflection of himself—bold and driven, yet so often skimming along the edges of destruction. I think he would admire their recklessness despite their short lives and finds in them a kinship, like stars burning out as they fall.

Drift

"With hands of flesh, they reach for the stars, tiny pilgrims, undeterred by dark. They are warriors bound in tender shells, yet their spirits are sharper than any blade."

I think Drift sees humanity’s journey as sacred, an unlikely pilgrimage. Despite their fragility, they pursue wonders that many would fear, displaying a purity of heart that resonates with his own search for purpose and redemption.

Brainstorm

"They are puzzles, equations, broken in ways no theorem can solve. I could build them stronger, make them last longer, stretch their days to years—yet it’s the ticking clock that drives them which we cannot touch, the glitch of life within the code. They’re impossible, improbable—beautifully, infuriatingly unsolvable."

For Brainstorm, i think humans are the ultimate enigma. So imperfect, so baffling, so limited by their biology—and yet, somehow, they thrive. Their existence nags at him, like a problem he can’t quite crack, but one that has woven its way into his circuits.

Ultra Magnus

"They obey no Prime, no order, no code, yet they find honor in dust and devotion in ruin. There is chaos within them, yet in their eyes—clarity. For all their flaws, perhaps they see the law of the universe far better than we."

Ultra Magnus finds himself both exasperated and quietly moved by humans’ defiance of logic. I think he might struggle with their disorder but recognizes the strange beauty in their conviction. They possess a kind of honor that is beyond his ability to define—a law unto themselves.

Chromedome

"Stories woven in short threads of skin and sinew, their lives stitched in seconds, minutes, hours—a blink of a shutter. Yet they carry tales, so rich and raw, that I cannot forget. They are memory incarnate, fragile as newborn spark, but so full of color."

I think Chromedome would treasure humans for their stories, for the vibrant, bittersweet memories they create within the boundaries of their lives. Every moment for them is fleeting, and so they seem to capture life with a vibrancy he longs to archive.

Swerve

"They bumble and fumble, awkward yet bold, finding joy in the smallest things. They laugh in the face of a world so vast—their clumsy courage, a song I want to know by my spark."

We all know Swerve loves humans and human things. I think he sees humans as charmingly imperfect, stumbling yet fearless in a universe that dwarfs them. Their humor and resilience bring a joy that he can’t resist, as if they were a song that lingers in his circuits, warming him in ways he would never expected.

Megatron

"They are the dreamers, the fools, the ones who hope, rebels in skin who believe in the impossible. I have seen it. They build kingdoms on bones and dreams, believing they can change the world."

Megatron is an amazing character in my opinion in the Lost Light universe. I think he looks upon humanity with a blend of scorn and admiration. They are so weak, yet so defiant—champions of hope despite their powerlessness. Their resilience reminds him of what he once fought for, and though he might deny it, he can’t help but see in them a reflection of his own self.

Ratchet

"Flawed and failing, breaking with each breath, they stitch themselves back with their tender hands. They fall, they fail, yet rise again reminding me why I mend the wounded steel."

I really like Ratchet. I like to think he regards humans with a mix of exasperation and reluctant respect even when he wouldn't directly word it. He sees them as frail and imperfect, breaking down as quickly as they heal. Yet, their resilience, their refusal to give up despite everything, is what keeps him caring deep in his spark. In their struggles, he finds purpose, and in their imperfection, he rediscovers his own reason to heal.

Personally, I think a bigger obstacle to overcome when it comes to moids isn't the physical but the social. Many believe that physical strength is the problem for women and while I wont discount it; it's not the main problem imo. It's possible to take down much bigger people/things with the right mind + tools; it's why humans are on top of the animal kingdom despite being below average in speed/height/strength compared to other species. Weapons like tranquillisers & guns were created to kill much bigger animals; vehicles were created to travel at faster speeds than we can cover with our legs. Things like this allowed humans to architect the world around us.

Women have been able to take down moids despite them being physically stronger - women poisoned & shot moids fatally. Before puberty for maIes sets in, many young girls are able to physically defend themselves from moidlets in a similar age range however this brings social issues. Regardless of self defense laws in many countries women get punished for fighting back. Many women are in prison or have been charged for fighting back against their abusive partners while the law turns a blind eye at maIe abusers. Women receive longer sentences on average for killing in self defense than moids do for killing women in cold blood. Women are told to go through the legal system which only delays the inevitable of the moid taking her life cause the system is useless. Women are set up to fail and society is set up to habour moid evil.

There's a place called Longyearbyen near the north pole. It doesn't have typical day/night cycles, has one main shopping center, and people aren't allowed to die there bc it's so cold there's risk of infection as the bodies don't decompose, oh and they live among bears. All the citizens must be trained with guns so they can shoot a bear if it ever poses a threat. Now despite bears being much bigger & stronger than humans, humans are able to be near them and build lives independently bc they're able to take down bears* that are a threat. In any reasonable non maIeworshipping society that still kept xys around a similar thing could be done; for women to be armed to shoot moids when they pose a threat so they can at least walk around with a peace of mind. Because it's not just a thing of biology or socialisation when it comes to moid degeneracy, many of them abuse women because they know they wont face consequences for their actions as society paves the way for them to abuse women. In a nigerian state state the government were offering gun licenses to people so they can defend themselves from bandits (no victim blaming, no telling the citizens to 'pick better', etc because the system doesn't benefit from bandits as it does from maIe violence).

In the 1900s when women successfully used hatpins to fend off moids that wanted to sexually assault them, they got regulated, hatpins had to have protection & could only be a certain length. So not only is it not a fair fight physically but socially. Many women who've been trafficked get imprisoned for fighting & killing their captors. You dont see moids who are killed or harmed by women defending themselves get blamed for it for initiating attacks but women get blamed for being on the end of moid degeneracy. It's more difficult to fight the social differences because as humans we're social creatures typically bound to the laws + cultural views of the land even when women defend themselves they're seen as extremists or the abusers themselves which brings being ostracised + further abuse. Mixed sex societies are practically open air prisons women are held hostage in.

*Given that bears are a hot topic lately, imagine humans forced to live around bears defenselessly bc the bears benefitted from it. Imagine after numerous bear attacks that humans are still expected to be around bears (with no protection) & are just told to find good ones to trust even though they all have the capacity for their violence. Imagine people getting into politics over which bears are worse or more vulnerable (black, brown, white) meanwhile they're all dangerous as a whole. Imagine a chance that humans had to fight back against a bear attack & win yet they get punished by other bears for doing so but nothing happens if it's the other way around. I can go on but it starts to come together how fucked & a set up to fail mixed sex societies are for women & before anyone tells me "but bears aren't human!1!" for the past month most women have said they'd rather be with bears than moids in the forest.

Werewolves (and other supernatural creatures?) are known. Some cities have bigger werewolf populations than others and the rules are... different, there. Most regular laws still apply but the wolves are dangerous and they have their own rules and laws that everyone living in a werewolf controlled city has to follow. Follow the rules, and you'll be fine. Probably.

Hob is living in one of those places. Not by necessarily by choice, mind- Eleanor was a werewolf and so is Robyn and Hob figures Robyn is better off in a mostly-wolf city than a mostly-human one.

So he pushes through it, teaching during the week and tending bar on the weekends to try and put himself through grad school so he can give Robyn a better life (they were young parents- poor Hob is only 25 and raising a 5 year old on his own).

And then Hob meets Dream. More accurately, Dream (Endless, leader of his pack and ruler of this town) catches his scent and hunts him down. Dream has made his claim on him and between the wolf laws and Dream being who he is, Hob has no choice but to accept, if only for Robyn's sake.

Unfortunately for Hob (and fortunately for Dream), Hob has never even kissed another man, let alone fuck (or been fucked by) one; he's certainly never been knotted.

Luckily, Dream is a patient man. Or as patient as he can be- he wants Hob ready in a month so they can complete the claim under the full moon where it'll be at its strongest; a knot and a bite (not necessarily a turning, not if he doesn't want it) and Dream's own mark on him.

(Hob and Robyn move in with Dream when Dream promises they'll both be taken care of. Hob will get to focus on school and his son, and Robyn will get to be around other werewolves full time and get a brother in the form of 7 year old Orpheus.

At least Hob doesn't have to worry about him being unsupervised; now he can focus on his bi awakening in the form of Dream's touch and teachings <3)

OOO pack leader Dream AND claiming AND kinda arranged marriage!! I like it!!

Once Hob has moved into Dream’s place full time, he gets a full presentation with what to expect from mating a male werewolf. Dream brings in a Doctor to explain the biology, a were-sex and relationships coach to help Hob understand what it will really be like. It's going to be nothing like his life with Eleanor, and he's almost glad that he won't just be replacing his first love.

He's still nervous though. Dream has extremely high status, and Hob will have to contribute to pack life as his mate. He doesn't want to let Dream down. And Dream is also powerful physically. He tracked Hob down by scent alone, and he's stronger and faster than Hob is used to, even after Eleanor. Hob finds it so hard to relax, although he's accepted his new life. How can he be the mate that Dream obviously expects him to be?

Cue Dream trying to make Hob feel safe and comfortable in his new home and relationship. Hob comes home to find that Dream has made a nest for them the share, a big soft cocoon lined with soft things and comfort items. They awkwardly cuddle up and Hob realises that Dream’s scent is actually soothing him. He ends up falling asleep in Dream’s arms and wakes to find Robyn and Orpheus cuddled up too. At last, Hob feels a rush of love and warmth, like he doesn't want to be anywhere else in the world.

Of course there's the issue of... warming up to the mating. Its a major moment of self discovery for Hob. For the first time he practices penetration with a series of increasingly large toys, and... his body loves it. It's the most natural thing in the world. He stays up for hours in the night until he's cum dry and he's completely exhausted. It just feels too good to stop. Apparently, Dream is getting his own little knotslut as a mate. Lucky him.

The more he plays with himself and spends time with Dream, the more Hob wants. He practically begs Dream to fuck him but he won't, not until the appointed him. Hob has to make do with lots of kissing and touching and general shenanigans in the nest, but no knotting. Not yet.

He realises, by the time full moon comes around, that he's happy. Robyn is happy. Dream seems happy too, and doesn't seem to regret choosing Hob as a mate. Quite the opposite in fact. He can't keep his hands off Hob.

And when he howls Hob’s name out on their first knotting, the whole town will hear and know that their love is blossoming.

I didn’t think that through, but I’d assume it’s just for travelers they ran into but they haven’t ever seen a harpy before and they became interested in Luffy or something- just cause it’s like; “what the fuck is that??”

If I were to make this an Au (I might not, I just like playing around with animal biology and mythical creatures and hybrids…) I’d say that Law in general sends Luffy out to scavenge, and they just kind of helped each other survive. Though out of the two of them, Law is a bit stronger just because Harpy Luffy has a disadvantage with his body in general, despite his size.

It says a lot how those people consider traits typically associated with men as superior. They hear women say that males’ biology makes them generally have more physical strength and they immediately refute cuz their brains go “physical strength = male trait = superior”. Like, that’s just the material truth. It has nothing to do with men or women’s inherent value or anything of the sort, and pointing out that reality doesn’t mean that women are “devaluing” themselves and putting themselves in an inferior position. If anything, aren’t they the ones being misogynistic by considering physical strength (one of the only physical “advantages” men have on women) the epitome of worth and superiority?

it’s so insulting especially because men being physically larger and stronger (especially upper body strength) than women is one of the reasons violence against women is so serious. Spider being blessed by Eywa is cool. But what if it doesn’t stop at his lungs. Every time that Spider gets sick or injured, Eywa blesses him again and his body changes accordingly.

Spider broke his leg or arm? His ENTIRE Skeletal structure hardens to the point that it’s as strong as any Na’vi

Spider gets severe sunburns or chemical burns? Tougher skin and stripes start becoming visible on his body and face

Spider loses his balance and falls from a tree? He begins growing a tail for balance

Spider gets food poisoning? He can now eat foods that would have killed him before

Spider gets Conjunctivitis (pink eye)? Gets a cavity? Ear infection? His eye color turns yellow, his canines grow and sharpen, his ears become pointed and he can now move them to focus on sounds

Nobody knows what is happening. Jake hasn’t had a stable pulse and blood pressure since the changes started. Norm is panicking as everything he knows about Pandora and Human biology is turned on his head. Max checked out long ago, because he knew this would remain a mystery for as long as he was alive. The kids, even as they grew older, weren’t as fussed with it but were excited because now spider could properly play with them without getting hurt as much. Every day, Spider gets stronger & faster, gaining small improvements every now and then, and he loves it. He’s becoming more like the Na’vi with every change and he’s happiness shows - He’s more confident, more vocal and has higher self-esteem.

A few years later, everyone thought the changes had stopped. Spider hit puberty and the only thing that was alarming about was how fast and tall Spider was growing. Like, his growing a foot every YEAR. Naturally, everyone is concerned but not about ANOTHER change to his anatomy - they were concerned about where he was going to sleep, since he can’t even fit in his bed and soon he won’t be able to fit in the shack. Other than the extreme growth spurts, the Scientists think they can handle everything else that comes their way.

Until one evening during eclipse, Norm notices something about is different with Spider. Then the realisation hits him. Spider is GLOWING?! Spider has developed bioluminescent markings, but also his veins? After a tireless night of examining this new change, Norm and Max have come to the discovery that Spider has Brain and Nervous system has changed. The glowing veins? New nerves running throughout his whole body capable of performing tsaheylu. They centre around both of spider’s palms as well as the back of his neck.

Nobody is sure how this change could have occurred since nobody has seen or treated Spider for any kind of brain or nerve damage. Spider has had plenty of concussions but they haven’t resulted in this kind of change. Regardless, Spider is ecstatic because know he can connect with Eywa and tame an Ikran. It’s like a wish has been fulfilled at long last for him. Jake’s blood pressure has returned to that of years past, Norm has decided to check out like Max did years ago, and the kids (especially Kiri) are super excited for Spider to complete his rites.

And Mo’at? She knew all about this since the beginning. She has seen every Atokinira land on Spider throughout the years, just before his body started to change. She has kept to this to herself, for reasons that even she is not sure of (though seeing her son-in-law panic over a human child growing a tail or literally glowing is an amusing benefit), but settles to just see how happy these changes have made Spider and her grandchildren.

Such briefs are filed by people and organizations that are not directly involved in a case but want to express an opinion on it. The attorneys general of Alabama, Arkansas, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming signed on to the Idaho brief, and the same ones, with the exception of West Virginia and the addition of Idaho, signed on to the West Virginia brief — that’s because Idaho and West Virginia, respectively, are the states directly involved.

Everymen! The bizarre wizard's even more bizarre cousin! These odd little guys have really fucked up bodies, don't you think? They can be almost any shape, as long as it's simple and a five year old can draw it! No one really knows the evolutionary advantage to this. It's theorized that they do share the same overactive magic producing organ as the wizards, but can't use it to the same extent in order to summon arms at will and keep their physical form from breaking into pieces!

Everyman culture, to be honest with you, is the epitome of bland. The amount of constant energy being put into keeping their shape has lead to a significant lack of energy. Everything is too much for them. They simply want to eat unflavored white rice with room temperature water. They like whatever's popular, they wear whatever fits, and they can't bring themselves to being particularly wild. The word "generic" made manifest. There are a couple towns out there designed to fit the needs of everymen, as life can be stressful in other places. These towns, of course, aren't exclusive to everymen. That would be super fucked. Towns such as Area, Place, and Town are great places to go if you wish to meet an everyman!

I write about a character per day

Day 20: Viney (Finale)

Healer. Beastkeeper. Anarchist.

How many things I can say about a character who had her fair share of 2 episodes with 4 more in the background. Oh boy let's go.

Alright getting this out of the way, and the only time I do this because it's Viney. As my favourite character of the show and 2nd favourite of all time (behind a water witch), I want to headcanon so many things for Viney. She's aroace, because everyone is aroace until proven otherwise :P. My favourite ship to Viney is Luney, in a platonic way, that I would like it even more if I didn't know about Lumity too early. She's an engineer in both biology and chemistry. She opens a veterinarian clinic for mythical pets, while also studies medicine and other methods of healing.

Okay, I gotta admit I like Luney more because of Viney being too awesome and their first interaction were pretty cool. Viney has healing and beastkeeping, two of the most underrated coven of the show. Healing potential looked quite awesome, as she even used a shield made out of the coven sigil. As a diehard fan of Steven Universe, I loved that moment so much.

Beastkeeping may have destroyed the class and got her in detention, but who cares, Puddles is the coolest friend a veterinarian can have. And it is so nice that she chose Healing with Beastkeeping, specifically to heal all the pets she got.

I'm going on a limb and say this. Viney is the perfect successor of Eda, maybe with less rebellious intent than her last generation. The tunnel she used? Eda used it before. The Troublemakers Wall? Eda is the Queen. Viney looks up to Eda, as the pioneer of anarchism in the school. Baby Anarchist Viney is so incredible and I love it.

Viney's outfit is also torn like Eda, in fact her uniform is actually more unique than any other students. Her shirt pin points out, unlike other students, her shirt was torn in a way no one does that. And of course the hook earring. My baby anarchist is so determined to rebel.

Side note: I can take a whole day just talking about her hook earring.

The hate between Viney and Jerbo really is incredibly funny tbh. She just decided to hate him. And when Jerbo joined the other time, she just saw all hell broke loose, gave him that death stare in the eyes. That's just awesome lol.

The First Day is her debut, and also her best episodes (so much injustice for my baby). The idea of using a griffin as an assistance is cool enough, but property damage and multi-track studying got her into trouble. Oh hey, just like Luz heh. One day in and Luz already was in detention with the troublemakers.

Having to live in the shadow for a while, with not many companies on her side, she developed a lot of skepticism. Which is why she was so mad at Luz when she saw Luz's friend coming, thinking Luz is above the troublemakers, or that interaction with Jerbo. But when Luz was in need for help, she and the students that the school deemed as troublemakers have saved the school, and forced Bump to change the law for multi-track studying. Eda might be the pioneer, but Viney and co are the revolutionists.

Her next appearance is in Hunting Palisman. No comments here, I just want to appreciate this moment. Very mystical manticore for a very mystical girl.

Any Sport in a Storm is the episode with her iconic "Now I'm only scarred emotionally". Despite having more screen time, she still doesn't have that much more lines, she was outshined by Hunter and Willow. She's now a member of Emerald Entrails, she got along well with the team, and her powers got stronger. Good for her, good for her.

And of course the group selfie.

Labyrinth Runners is when we see a bit more of her. And Puddles' second battle. Not as successful as the first, but it's precious enough for me.

The last episode she had a line in was For The Future. Again, very brief moments. Although she got a new drip with the scarf. It's a scarf, alright girl. A moment when my kin (Willow) met my favourite (Viney), it's so incredibly precious.

Her finale design is so cool. She got long hair, cool outfit, but the hook earring must stay. And she was helping in erasing the sigils.

SCP#: ACJ

Code Name: Ghidorah the Three Headed Demon/ Monster Zero/ The King from Another World

Object Class: Apollyon/ Neutralized

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-ACJ was neutralized the same week it was discovered as such no Containment Procedures have been made. 

Description: SCP-ACJ was originally believed to be a member of Species of Interest: The Titans however this has been brought into question as to whether it's true or not given its origin. According to ancient historical paintings found by researchers within the Department of Mythology and Folkloristics, SCP-ACJ doesn't actually belong to earth like other titans. In fact, its physiology, biology, and even chemical structure are completely different from any titan or organism on earth. Unfortunately, it's unknown to what extent these differences reach as SCP-ACJ was killed and obliterated before Foundation staff could research it. 

What we do know is that SCP-ACJ greatly resembles the mythical hydra. It has three heads, is coated in golden like scales, has two large wings stronger than any metal on earth, a large and destructive tail, and two muscular legs for walking and landing. Similar to SCP-ABQ, SCP-ACJ has a breath attack though instead of atomic flames, it spits out lightning bolts containing 30,000 gigajoules of energy, possibly more. SCP-ACJ is also capable of rapid regeneration, able to regrow a destroyed head within a single minute. 

Despite technically not being of the same species, SCP-ACJ still has the ability to control and communicate with other titans as an Alpha Class Titan. During its awakening SCP-ACJ started ordering all other Titans to go around destroying as much of the world as possible. It's been theorized that this was for the purpose of terraforming the world to something more destructive that only Titans could live on. It was only thanks to SCP-ABQ and SCP-ABU that SCP-ACJ was eventually stopped though not before 78% of humanity was wiped out leading to activation of SCP-2000. Please see Addendum X-23 for details.

SCP-ACJ was discovered in 1964 during an excavation by a research team from the Department of Mythology and Folkloristics. They were following clues to a supposed "false king", a secondary Alpha to the Titans beside SCP-ABQ and SCP-ABU. Unfortunately, despite being careful not to wake up SCP-ACJ, it broke from the ground upon its discovery and wiped out the entire research team. Worst off upon reaching the surface its roars carried out to the entire world, waking up all Titans under the Foundation's control and ones we had yet to find. On that day alone 42% of the world's population was wiped out by their attacks leading the ACPA to exhaust all of its resources to kill a measly 17 Titans when there was still [data expunged] rampaging the world. The fighting only stopped after SCP-ABQ and SCP-ABU were victorious in killing SCP-ACJ. This unfortunately did lead to the activation of Protocol “No Mercy” which states [data expunged] before activation of SCP-2000.

It is because of the battle between the Titans and the fact that the earth would have been destroyed without SCP-ABQ and SCP-ABU that it was considered an unspoken law among the organizations of the ACPA to never bring harm to either of them. Without them, the earth would have been destroyed and the ACPA would have failed humanity in every conceivable way.

Today, in Vilnius, Lithuania, President Joe Biden spoke before a crowd at Vilnius University to champion democracy and the strengthening of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). 

“If I sound optimistic,” he told the crowd, “it’s because I am.” 

“NATO is stronger, more energized, and, yes, more united than ever in its history,” he said and continued, “It didn’t happen by accident.” Faced with a threat to “democratic values we hold dear, to freedom itself” when Russian president Vladimir Putin’s troops invaded Ukraine in a rejection of the rules-based international order, the United States, NATO, and all our partners stepped up to stand behind the brave people of Ukraine.

“After nearly a year and a half of Russia’s forces committing terrible atrocities, including crimes against humanity, the people of Ukraine remain unbroken…. Ukraine remains independent. It remains free. And the United States has built a coalition of more than 50 nations to make sure Ukraine defends itself both now and…in the future as well.”

“[O]ur commitment to our values, our freedom is something…[we] can never, never, ever, ever walk away from,” Biden said. “It’s who we are.”  

“[A]s I look around the world today, at a moment of war and peril, a moment of competition and uncertainty, I also see a moment of unprecedented opportunity—unprecedented opportunity—opportunity to make real strides toward a world of greater peace and greater prosperity, liberty and dignity, equal justice under the law, human rights and fundamental freedoms which are the blessing and birthright of all of humanity.” 

“My friends, at the most fundamental level, we face a choice…between a world defined by coercion and exploitation, where might makes right, or a world where we recognize that our own success is bound to the success of others." 

“When others do better, we do better as well—where we understand that the challenges we face today, from the existential threat of climate change to building a global economy where no one gets left behind, are too great for any one nation to solve on their own, and that to achieve our goals and meet the challenges of this age, we have to work together.” 

“The world is changing.  We have a chance to change the dynamic.”

“That’s why I’ve been so focused as president on rebuilding and revitalizing the alliances that are the cornerstone of American leadership in the world,” Biden said. He recounted the strengthening of the relationship between the U.S. and Europe, as well as the U.S. alliances in the Indo-Pacific region with Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, the Philippines, and India, saying that “we’re bringing major democracies of the region together to cooperate, keeping the Indo-Pacific free and open, prosperous, and secure.”

“[W]e’re working to deepen connections between the Atlantic and Pacific democracies so they can better work together toward the shared values we all seek: strong alliances, versatile partnerships, common purpose, collective action to meet our shared challenges…. 

“We have to step up together, building the broadest and deepest coalition…to preserve all the extraordinary benefits that stem from the international system grounded in the rule of law. 

“We have to come together to protect the rights and freedoms that underwrite the flow of ideas and commerce and which have enabled decades of global growth. Yes, territorial integrity and sovereignty, but also principles like freedom of navigation and overflight, keeping our shared seas and skies open so that every nation has equal access to our global common space. 

“And as we continue to explore this age of new possibilities, an age enabled by rapid advances in innovation, we have to stand together to ensure that the common spaces of our future reflect our highest…aspirations for ourselves and for others…so that artificial intelligence, engineering, biology, and other…emerging technologies are not made into weapons of oppression but rather are used as tools of opportunity. 

“We’re working with our allies and partners to build…supply chains that are more resilient, more secure, so we never again face a situation like we had during the pandemic where we couldn’t get critical goods we needed for our daily lives…. 

“[W]e all must summon the common will to…address the existential threat of accelerating climate change. It’s real. It’s serious. We don’t have a lot of time. It is the…single greatest threat to humanity. 

“And it’s only by working together that we’ll prevent the worst consequences of climate change from ravaging our future and that of our children and grandchildren.

“We also have to recognize our shared responsibility to help unlock the enormous potential that exists in low- and middle-income…[countries] around the world—not out of charity, [but] because it’s in our own self-interest. We all benefit when more partners stand together, working toward shared goals. We all benefit when people are healthier and more prosperous…. We all benefit when more entrepreneurs and innovators are able to pursue their dreams for a better tomorrow…. 

“[W]e stand at an inflection point, an inflection point in history, where the choices we make now are going to shape the direction of our world for decades to come. The world has changed. 

“Will we turn back naked, unchecked aggression today to deter other…would-be aggressors tomorrow? Will we staunch the climate crisis before it’s too late? Will we harness the new technologies to advance freedom or will we diminish it? Will we advance opportunity in more places or allow instability and inequality to persist?

“How we answer these essential questions is literally going to determine the kind of future our children and grandchildren have.”

“I believe that with ambition, with confidence in ourselves and one another, with nations working together for common cause, we can answer these questions,” Biden said. “We can ensure the vision we share and the freedoms we cherish are not just empty words in a troubled time, but a roadmap…a plan of urgent action toward a future we can reach, and we’ll reach if we work together.

“[T]he road that lies before us is hard. It will challenge us, summon the best of ourselves to hold faith in one another and never give up, never lose hope. Never. 

“Every day, we have to make the choice.  Every day, we must summon the strength to stand for what is right, to stand for what is true, to stand for freedom, to stand together.”

Biden met in Vilnius with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky, whose concerns about not getting a firm timeline for Ukraine’s admission to NATO seem to have been assuaged by significant security guarantees. “We are returning home with a good result for our country, and very importantly, for our warriors,” he wrote. “A good reinforcement with weapons.”

Meanwhile, in the U.S., a new report shows that inflation has slowed dramatically, dropping back to about 3%, the rate of March 2021, while the jobs market remains strong. Wages are rising faster than inflation. Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, says the report suggests that the sharp inflation of the past sixteen months was, in fact, a result of supply shocks from the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, as administration officials said. 

Other advanced economies continue to struggle with high inflation, and observers noted that U.S. inflation began to fall just after the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

In Washington, D.C., today, the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), questioned FBI director Christopher Wray for six hours to try to prove that the FBI is attacking Trump Republicans while giving Hunter Biden a free pass. It didn’t go particularly well. Wray is a lifelong Republican and member of the right-wing Federalist Society and was appointed by former president Trump. “The idea that I’m biased against conservatives seems somewhat insane to me, given my own personal background,” Wray said.

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin summed up the day’s news when she tweeted: “3% inflation. NATO growing and more solid than ever. huge investment in tech and infrastructure. And Rs? Screeching about Hunter Biden's laptop and defunding the FBI. Simply pathetic.”

Neterar'iris Biology

Life Span

Neterar'iris live for 150-200 years. They reach maturity at the age of 18, but they are considered an adult at the age of 25. They are considered Elders around the age of 145.

Bodies

Defying all natural laws, the Neterar'iris have extraordinarily flexible bodies. Their bones are extremely bendy, allowing them to coil around themselves like a snake, and to reach fully behind themselves. Despite this bend-ability, the Neterar'iris are able to keep a rigid state and support their head. This is due to their bones being hollow, like an avian's.

Neterar'iris bodies consist of an upper torso and three lower torsos (usually referred to collectively as the lower torso). Despite this, they can stand fully on their hind two legs, or walk on all ten of their hands. They simply choose to walk on their back six legs like their Enrid ancestors.

They have two sets of arms on their upper torso. One on their shoulders, and one on their lower backs. Their pectorals stack on top of each other in the front. Their pouch (if they have one) sits between their secondary upper arms and their lower torso.

They have three sets of arms on their lower torso. These are often stronger and sturdier as they are walked on the most. They have two larger sets of arms, with a smaller set in the middle. This set is only marginally smaller than the other two. Their bodies end in a long, prehensile tail, with a hand and two thumbs.

All Neterar'iris have claws. They resemble human nails but grow to a point. Some allow their claws to grow out, while others trim them.

Head and Neck

As Neterar'iris bones are super flexible, their necks can turn fully around. They can turn their heads 110 degrees, allowing them to see behind themselves.

Neterar'iris have large ovular ears which raise when happy and lower when sad. Ears can turn over horizontally to further express emotion. Turned over and back ears indicates aggression. Neterar'iris eye colour is separate from hair and nose/antenna colour. They have two eyes. Their noses are the same colour as their antenna. They have four nostrils; two above their eyes and two below, and their noses are made of the same spongy tissue as their antenna.

Antenna

Neterar'iris antenna are used for many purposes and act as an external sensory organ. They can detect pheromones, hold light objects, judge if a Neterar'iris can fit in a space (like cat whiskers), and they are used socially to wrap around the antenna of another Neterar'iris as a form of greeting amongst close friends or mates. Their tips are spongy and have a small hole in the center.

Patterning

Neterar'iris patterning is a reaction to the Prime Nexus. The Prime Nexus had a new element called "Neuterium" which interacted with the proteins in the Neterar'iris upon their arrival. This element is seemingly harmless to the Neterar'iris in low doses (it makes up less than 2% of the Prime Nexus' atmosphere) but in large doses it can cause the Neterar'iris to implode like a dying star. There are very few cases of this actually happening - but it is assumed the Neterar'iris dies. The patterning itself resembles spilt paint with swirling colours inside and white flecks. Their patterns are made up of three to four colours.

Immune System

The Neterar'iris weak immune systems due to their Scot'ul heritage. This was made worse by their migration to the Prime Nexus, as the Prime Nexus is full of foreign bacteria. Thus, they have adapted the Scot'ul's immunity technology for Neterar'iris biology. They have two tubes (one for each nostril) that are held to their face with clear, coloured pads. They also have soft rings around their nostrils to keep the tubes in place. These tubes converge into one and drape behind their ear. This longer tube goes down to their lower neck where a thin, flat band helps regulate their immune system and vitals.

Neterar'iris immune system technology provides a secondary response to disease and infection, strengthening the immune system. Additionally, it provides supplementary nutriton and vitamins when needed. It converts sunlight and oxygen into energy that Neterar'iris bodies can convert into energy. This is especially helpful when a Neterar'iris is carrying pups in their pouch, or in heat/rut.

This tech is bound with enchantments to their individual biology as some Neterar'iris need more support than others. Their tubing system is usually one quarter longer than their neck length to give them better mobility.
