Catra glared at Glimmer, who happily returned it. 

Glimmer, of course, can’t keep her mouth shut for five seconds though (which must be a victory of some kind) and offers, “Well we both hate each other. That’s one.”

That’s the worst part about her, Catra actually thinks she’s kinda funny and that fucking sucks. She worked too hard to earn a reputation as a slacker and class clown (despite being neither) and isn’t going to let this get in her way of being the funny guy. “We both know we’re right and the other is wrong.”

“That’s two!” Glimmer snickers, her glare already softening. “We agree that most people are kinda dumb and we should be in charge, but only if that doesn’t involve too much responsibility.”

“Of course, we’re not animals.” Catra means it as a turn of phrase, but Glimmer puts another finger up showing four. “Neither of us like to apologize, or say thank you.”

Six fingers as Glimmer reluctantly agrees. “We both know exactly what is funny and if our opinions happen to align that’s coincidence. We are both willing to throw down in a mcdonalds at two in the morning.”

“And taco bell.”

“And taco bell,” Glimmer agrees, now showing nine fingers. 

Good, because Catra has to say that while getting into fist fights in parking lots is not actually their hobby, it basically is at this point. Might as well get extra points for it somewhere.

“We are both over twenty years old.”

“Mmm, we grew up in the same hometown. Same schools.” Glimmer switches to a piece of paper and puts 14 tallies down.

“...we both have dead parents?” Catra winces even as she offers it because Glimmer actually liked her dad whereas Catra doesn’t really remember her parents. But another tally gets added so she takes the W.

“We both dated the same girl, and it didn’t work out for basically the same reason.”

Catra snarls but allows the marks to be put down. “We’re gay.”

Glimmer has the world’s most evil smile on as she says, “We are SUPER gay.”

Their teacher waves a hand, calling out to catch everyone’s attention before starting around the room. How many commonalities in each group. Three. Five. Two. Ten. One (a vague like of pecans should not count but whatever).

“And what about you two?”

Glimmer smiles brightly, “Eighteen, and we will take our extra accolades please.”

house md wildest show on earth. a main character outright assassinates a known dictator, a moment that would be the very beginning or the mid-series crisis in any other show - an act which creates a power vacuum in a foreign nation already filled with child soldiers and genocide, and it's literally only brought up again throughout the season because that guy's wife divorces him over it. and occasionally to explore his relationship with who he is as a person and a catholic after having deliberately taken a life for what he calculates as the greater good, but mostly it's about his divorce

What I actually came here to say is I started reading a darker shade of magic three days ago and I can’t stop. 160 pages in rn and I gotta say I owe Holland an apology bc when he showed up and started acting all sketchy towards the prince I had NO IDEA what kind of bullshit he is dealing with in his own universe.

Like booktok thinks Cardan has problems with his shitty brother?? Wait until they hear about those psychopaths at the white London (if that’s not the name in English nevermind me, I’m translating)????

I am SCARRED.

But if you ask me from a writing standpoint I will say I find it a fascinating parallel to the conflicting thoughts Kell currently has about himself and the royal family, and how his kind are seen more as goods than actual people. What happened to Holland is the perfect example of the life he could be leading if his king and queen were a little less nice.

That said I am also curious if Holland’s flirting with the prince comes from himself, or if he’s being ordered to do that as well, and the implications of it. I’m horrified. And fascinated. Can’t wait to read more tomorrow.

i'm not a big fan of love triangles but i think my story with suguru has one—one which is very cliché and very predictable atp—satoru who's in love with me, his childhood friend (he actually thinks we're besties! but we could never be anything more than friends; i hate him way too much after being compared with him my entire life)—all the while i'm crushing on the new student in satoru's class, that curse manipulator boy who has not only climbed up the jujutsu societal ranks swiftly but has also become one of my friend's dearest friends—

things are horribly awkward and tense when i get to know of satoru's feelings for me (he never confesses to me; i js know how to read him) but i seem to have none of it, politely but clearly telling him tht i have feelings for someone else, and that he and i would never rly be happy or 'compatible' together, and that he would definitely meet someone who is much much better than me, who will know how to cherish him the way he deserves to be loved

(i also ask him not to spoil the bond he shares with suguru over some meagre third party like me; i lowkey beg him not to, in fact!!—the boy is too lonely without him)

it takes him time—and i doubt if he ever rly moves on from me wholly—but he realises slowly tht he and i aren't really meant for each other and tht no matter how strong his feelings might be, they will never be powerful enough to bring forth similar feelings from my side...

satoru is bitter but slowly and steadily, our broken friendship starts to heal itself, and we start behaving how we used to behave before i got to know abt his crush and stuff—albeit with a tad more distance than before—the wound is still a bit fresh, u see? :)

(with time, satoru becomes a wingman, albeit very reluctant, for me; and he does meet someone—a person who loves him very much—a person, thanks to whom, he finally, and entirely, moves on from me)

Also I've been in this fandom for like 2.5 seconds approximately and I don't respect a single one of y'all BUT cmiiw the girlypop high femme lesbian mommy etcetc whatever PSH is a fairly new development isn't it. Like my first bias was Sanini but then I realized HJ is a diversely creative fairy prince who wears half-skirts, paints his nails and talks about fashion for men AND women and I was like O YES HI HELLO THIS ONE'S MINE HI. It's fascinating that apparently there's a whole genre of fans who see Joongie as the masculine dom to Hwa's willow-waisted femme omega bottom when like... They both have "masculine" and "feminine" traits. Above all that they're cool fun guys and I like them a lot (assigning gender to personality trait is finest grade dumbassery, not to mention gender essentialism. I don't recommend doing that)

He actually mostly wears his denim jacket at night when it's brisk out, or when he's out of town during mission and is in cooler climates. For the most part he keeps cool in a breezy button up and stupid poofed out pants. His hands are probably clammy as hell though because he never takes those stupid ass gloves off.

The Lystrikers are total night owls though, and the whole reason he's sporting his fit it in the first place is because they were just getting back to town after a big night event right before the Fault hit. All of their starting outfits were ones they dressed for a night out in.

So I think the better question to be asking here is, why did he choose to wear that to a rave?
