Listen I’m sure the FSM was a very kind and positive kid for a lot of the time but they spent their childhood unsupervised in a war doing whatever they wanted so I think the first time Firstbourne told them to go to bed because it was late they threw the BIGGEST tantrum in the history of tantrums.

I’m talking screaming, crying, destroying things, just straight up refusing to listen to her. It took the combined effort of all of Firstbourne’s extensive parenting skills, bribery, and a full persuasive essay to get FSM to go to bed.

hello again ninjago fandom, it's me, your self-proclaimed oniologist, greendest1ny, here with some more traditional oni lore!!

today, i'll be telling you how oni were created in the traditional japanese mythology!

the way that oni were created is quite a long story, and requires some trigger warnings: sibling incest between two gods (gross, why do most mythologies do that??), death in childbirth, and child murder.

Created by Ame-no-Minakanushi and Kuni-no-Tokotachi, Izanami-No-Mikoto was the primordial goddess of creation and death and her brother, Izanagi-No-Mikoto, was the primordial god of creation and life. The two of them were created to make the islands of Japan, and were given a magical spear to do so, the Ame-no-Nuboko. To make quite a long story short, they created the islands of Japan and married. They had multiple children, one of them being the god of fire, Kagutsuchi.

Unfortunately, Izanami-No-Mikoto died in childbirth, as Kagutsuchi burned her to death while being born. Izanagi-No-Mikoto was driven into a grief filled rage, and murdered the newborn Kagutsuchi, cutting him into eight pieces, which turned into eight volcanoes, and causing multiple deities to be born from his dead body.

During her final moments, Izanami-No-Mikoto bore the water goddess, Mizuhanome, and instructed her to calm Kagutsuchi should he become violent, unaware of what Izanagi-No-Mikoto had done.

After Izanami-No-Mikoto's funeral, Izanagi-No-Mikoto could not accept what had happened, and journeyed to the underworld, Yomi, to retrieve her. When he arrived, Izanami-No-Mikoto's figure was hidden by the shadows, and Izanagi-No-Mikoto couldn't see her. She informed him that she had eaten the fruit of the underworld, and she couldn't leave.

Izanagi-No-Mikoto refused to leave her, and while she slept, he took his comb from his hair and lit it on fire, and was horrified to see that Izanami-No-Mikoto was now little more than a living decaying corpse, with foul creatures running over her body, with oni being born from her very corpse, most notably being the thunder, lightning, and storm god, Raijin, and the wind god, Fūjin.

Izanagi-No-Mikoto was horrified, shrieking loudly and running away, intending to abandon poor Izanami-No-Mikoto in Yomi. Izanami-No-Mikoto awoke and was enraged, sending a multitude of demons after him, and pursuing him herself.

Izanagi-No-Mikoto escaped by the cave he had entered through, blocking the entrance to Yomi with a large, impenetrable boulder. Izanami-No-Mikoto screamed from the other side of the boulder, and declared 'if you leave me here, i shall destroy a thousand of the living everyday!'

Izanagi-No-Mikoto angrily exclaimed 'then i shall create a thousand and five hundred humans everyday!' and abandoned Izanami-No-Mikoto in Yomi for the rest of eternity.

Izanami-No-Mikoto became the goddess of death that day, and Izanagi-No-Mikoto the god of life.

i like how Izanami-No-Mikoto parallels firstbourne, though, as they were both all-mothers to their respective species.

i can just imagine mystaké telling wu and garm this story, and wu being all sympathetic to izanami-no-mikoto, while garm would be a little more like 'why didn't she just break the boulder??' and mystaké going 'it was impenetrable!! did you not listen at all, young garmadon?! do not disrespect our mother in yomi!!' as i imagine most oni would really respect izanami-no-mikoto because of her creating their ancestors, and her being the goddess of death and all that,,

i can also link parts of her story to the oni masks: vengeance being how she kills a thousand humans a day to make izanagi-no-mikoto pay, deceit being how she tried to hide what she had become from izanagi-no-mikoto, and hatred being her clear hatred of izanagi-no-mikoto after her abandonment.

A Ninjago OC? HECK YEAHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

Basic rundown on Rio is they were a fire dragon and one of Firstbourne’s children. The FSM was setting out to leave the First Realm and brought Rio along because 1) they could travel between realms 2) he tolerated them. They reached what would be Ninjago (yeah I headcanon that the FSM didn’t actually make Ninjago, more on that later) and it was completely dark. Rio, eager to impress the FSM, created the sun. Which awoke Wojira. Whoops. (Idk what goes here yet so, Wojira gets defeated yipeeeeeeeee). The FSM wants to continue to build Ninjago so he and Rio set out to find some other elemental masters to piece the whole thing together. Yada yada more First Elemental Masters that I’ll make later.

TIMESKIP. At some point the FSM grows tired of having to deal with the other Elemental Masters and thinks it would easier to hold all the power. Rio tries to make the FSM see reason and the FSM takes this poorly. The FSM manipulates the other EMs into thinking Rio was a traitor. Rio is killed.

Rio is not completely dead however. Well sort of. They’re a ghost now, but not really. Like a flame that refuses to go out.

So, the princess/queen/empress (???? no clear title) of Imperium is holding a massive dragon prisoner, and using them to power the city. The only massive dragon I know of atm the moment is the Firstbourne.

None of this is good. I hate it. Dragons should never be held prisoner. Again, if we're looking for good energy, Imperium is in a desert and solar panels exist. I don't know why they think dragons would be better than that.

Unless

Unless they are using the dragons not to just power the city but are fueling the mergequakes? Is that possible? Did they cause the Merge?

I have lots of thoughts but also I’m sleepy (I’ve been awake since 5am 😏) (it’s currently 1am at time of writing 😏😏😏)

In general this one feels a lot more polished(?) than past dr season parts. I think it’s a combination of the animation being better and also the writing having a better flow(?) in my opinion(???). Idk what it is exactly, but it just feels… right.

I clicked with it basically immediately which is weird cuz usually dr has this kind of. Awkwardness?? In the writing which takes a rewatch or two to get over, but with this one it just?? Isn’t there for me??? It just works lol. Maybe I’m sleep deprived lol.

Maybe I’m being hormonal or something but also wasn’t part 2 kinda…. Cute? There was just a lot of cute moments and just a general feeling of light-heartedness throughout the whole thing despite everything that happened. Oddly enough it reminds me of older seasons. Idk again maybe I’m just tired or smthn

I’m gonna be honest I saw mixed reviews of the jay stuff and I will say as a bit of a Jay Hater™️ I didn’t really mind any of it. Pretty good-ish y’know? Not mind blowingly good or bad in either direction. I am more interested in where he will go from here…. I could honestly see him staying a villain/anti-hero for most of the shows run, or just returning to the team as a slightly sassier version of himself. It’s whatever.

Omg Cole!!!! Lily!! Cole being able to use the earth mech despite not having powers is a total cop out but I don’t care don’t talk to me!!!!!! Agghhh!!!!

Everything with Arin also….. all those detective scenes w his parents had me pacing the room and crawling around my floor and biting the walls and such. Ohhh my sweet boy Arin. Ohhhhhhh my sweet boy I’m gonna die.

Whenever he started expressing disappointment/disillusionment with Lloyd and his mentorship I was like “yesss >:)” but also “noooo D:” but also “yesssssssss >:DDD”

ALSO ALSO all the stuff w him and Ras. When Ras said all that stuff about good n bad and goodness within badness and vice versa or whatever….. can we perhaps see stuff abt oni Lloyd?? The “bad” within the “good” maybe? Pretty please bats my eyelashes sweetly

There’s also all this nitty gritty lore stuff abt dragons and dragon ivory and dragon scales and how that all connects to elemental powers…. It reminded me of faiths sword thing that she got from firstbourne back in season 9, and how it could attract/redirect powers. Oouuuh things almost making sense in ninjago. A rare treat.

Dragons Rising E1-5 Thoughts

In the run up to the official release of Ninjago: Dragons Rising Season 2 Part 2, I’ll be posting my thoughts on the episodes already released in chunks of 5. This also marks the end of the Ninjago full series rewatch I started at the start of this year. These will just be bullet points, not full episode or character analysis – if this is popular, maybe I’ll do that later. No real spoilers for S2P2, but I’ll make slight allusions to events that happen.

First: The Merge, Part 1:

Solid beginning. I love how Arin introduces the Ninja as they pan across the screen in one-take – reminds me of the Skybound intro

It is very unclear how long Arin and Sora have known each other. This episode implies they just met with lines like “best new friend” but next episode Arin says they met “right after the Merge”

A LOT of exposition that consists of Arin and Sora telling the other person something they probably already know

It’s interesting that Arin says he wants to create a monastery for people who lost their parents in the Merge – the Monastery is now home to a ton of people who have found family in the Ninja

Frohicky is great. So is Lobbo

In the time that Arin and Sora argue about whether or not to chase Riyu, they could have passed the finish line. On the other hand, this would have prevented Lobbo from winning

Rapton sees two children fall to their death and doesn’t care lol

Ras is ridiculously cool in his intro scene. He just spawns in midair, wins, and leaves

Arin and Sora are so much fun in this episode. Some of the dialogue is strange but I am sold on their friendship and they have good chemistry together

The Merge, Part 2:

Man Lloyd is just so cool here. He might have 0 self confidence later but at least physically he rightfully outmatches almost any opponent

Kai and Lloyd’s reunion is so insanely sweet

Arin and Sora playing catch with Riyu is great

Is it “Claws of Imperium” or “Claws of the Imperium”?

Is Firstbourne an unofficial Dragon Matriarch?

Okay what is with Rapton being okay with children dying by falling from a great height? If not for the Matriarch he would have just dropped Sora into the abyss

Lloyd is so cool again, and probably didn’t even need a spark from the Matriarch given how easily he handles the five Claws of Imperium at once

The Ninja standing for hope is a recurring motif in S1P1 – it’s part of E1, E2, E3, and E10 iirc

“If he ever needs us, he will be able to find us” … oh

Why did Ras want Lloyd to bond with the Dragon Matriarch? What did that have to do with hunting Source Dragons?

Crossroads Carnival:

Lloyd copying Wu from the Pilots is funny, but it does imply that after the Monastery was rebuilt, Wu made Lloyd complete the course before he could finish his tea. At that point Lloyd had defeated the embodiment of evil, fought in a war, and defeated and depowered Emperor Garmadon (among other things) yet that wasn’t good enough? Okay knowing Wu yeah probably not

The beard gag. Nuff said

Arin must be in crazy shape to be handling the training course this well

Couldn’t Arin and Sora have just asked Lloyd to go? Like at dinner or something? Training was over for the day

You can see the parts of the carpet ripping off Riyu’s disguise

Just realized that SA Mark 1 = Sora & Arin Mark 1 that’s so cool

Look Lloyd at least Arin and Sora didn’t tie you up and banish themselves to another realm

The tent scene is really well done. The music, Lloyd being so overwhelmed, it’s really sweet, especially as an older fan

Lloyd uses the pieces of the mediation carpet to defeat the marionette, so that’s a cool detail

This conversation between Lobbo and Kreel is pure gold. I hope Lobbo finds love <3

Can someone pour salt onto Grab-Barg please?

This is a great one-off episode, and Dorama is easily at his best here. As much as I love the other DR characters, the Arin, Sora, Lloyd trio (+ Riyu) all bounce off each other really well, and this is a light, low stakes episode that includes some important growth for Lloyd 

Beyond Madness:

“Worst student in the history of students” – is there something about being in Ninjago that saps all your self confidence?

There are a lot of Bounty crash scenes, but this might be the funniest: Sora having to use the ladder to see what’s going on, Lloyd and Arin leaving her, the toolbox falling, Lloyd trying to land, “Let us never speak of this”

I love the pool of water on the Bounty. No the water didn’t seep into the wood or spread out on the ground – it’s just perfectly still

Autobiographical one man musical? As a diehard fan of Clutch Powers: A Musical Life, I’m excited to watch The Dorama Drama this winter!

Nya’s water blast knocks Arin to the ground, but Lloyd (far more trained) is fine. It’s a minor detail but cool nonetheless

The Lloyd-Nya reunion is really sweet

“The important thing is to accept others for their flaws and– Why is that foul thing here?” Thanks Crag-Nor very cool

Wait so where did Nya end up after the Merge? What stories are there?

Why do the “Earth Dragons” shoot fire from their mouths?

“Kai’s… gone?” [Cut to Kai] “I’m starving!” okay they got me there that’s actually pretty funny

Arin says Kai was his favorite Ninja, then corrects to saying second favorite – but he’s talking to both Lloyd and Nya! So which one is the favorite?

This battle is fun and the music is great

So Lloyd catches Sora and Kai catches Nya… but no one catches Riyu? He literally just falls to the ground. Riyu villain arc?

Wow Riyu just ended racism. Beautiful

Sora’s last line is a good setup for the next episode

Writers of Destiny:

This episode implies that the only reason Arin learns Spinjitzu without being formally taught is because of the Merge. If so… how?

The Spiderverse-esque glitching effect is super cool

Spinjitzu basically allows for flight here

There’s a running trend of Arin and Sora falling to what should be their deaths. No wonder Wyldfyre is afraid of heights

It’s good to see Kai’s confidence hasn’t gone anywhere. Yes, Kai, I’m sure the monks would love to tell you how awesome you were

The Cloud Kingdom retcon is definitely a net positive for the series, but it doesn’t really square with Kingdom Come. The destinies written in that episode have an immediate effect on the characters. I think the synthesis of the two would be that the Writers are very good at predicting events and even have a slight ability to change outcomes, but mostly they just guess accurately and when they’re wrong, events “defy destiny.” Their ability to change outcomes is gone after the Merge

The way Euphrasia delivers her words when explaining how she can’t have a power (“Writing destiny is our power. Anything else, especially actions, violates who we are”) sounds like she’s repeating what one of the other monks told her. I wonder if she started to tell someone but was shut down

“Euphrasia’s Destiny” is such a good soundtrack

“I released the ninja from the evil worm cocoons in the cloud basement”

“I knew the last one. I already like you more” low bar Lloyd but fair

The worms were cursed to not reveal forbidden information? Wow they really were planning ahead – that’s a very specific word

This episode can very easily be read as a coming out allegory

Kai ribbing Lloyd is great

So was Imperium responsible for the Mergequake? My assumption is no but Rapton implies that it was (or at least was aware it was coming)

This episode is like a mid-mid-season finale – the Ninja fight a miniboss, Sora finishes a small character arc, and the rest of the “season” (up through the S1P1 finale) takes place in Imperium

Much like Sora, Jiro often finds Nya giving his scars blank looks. However, while Sora focuses on all of them- Nya happens to focus on the ones on his head. The water Ninja's eyes sometimes go glassy when he meets her eyes.

He questioned her about why that is, and she replied that they reminded her of Kai, Jay's, and Coles own scars. She sometimes trails her hands down them, lightly running water to soothe them because she understands how they can ache.

He doesn't confirm or deny it.

Sometimes, Nya requests if she and him can go for flights around the mountains - and he often jumps at that. The two spent quiet hours at the height of their home simply feeling the wind against their faces and sometimes the rain.

He'a had to pull her out of a lake, river, and pond a couple of times. when Nya had become unresponsive after a long day or having been trying to figure out where the other ones were with little to no success.

Without words, he takes her to the clouds. Far away from the water and earth below, where after some time she comes back and thanks him. He tells her it is not an issue.

Sometimes, it takes a while for him to respond too. He forgets he's awake when it happens.

Lloyd is a weird one, Jiro can smell the Dragon in him, but he can also smell the Oni, as if it's instinctual despite never even meeting one.

Instead of hateful, it has him curious. Even if the smell sort of makes him want to bury his snout in a patch of fruits and vegetables every so often.

Lloyd understands what it's like to have your power constantly drained. To be tested on as if you were a thing instead of a being. Jiro can see the physical evidence of that, too. Lloyd's hand's tremble the same way his claws do.

They share the fact that they forget to reply sometimes and that they can lie awake hours on end without responding, a fact that concerns the others. But they sometimes do it, huddled together within Jiro's den.

The green one helps him control the tremble, knowing it is something they have to live with instead of being able to rid themselves of.

Lloyd tells him tales of Firstbourne, the All-Mother, and how she's also his, too. Tales of her ferocity, her drive to protect, her kindness, and patience.

Jiro wants to meet Firstbourne eventually, but they can not, as she has unfortunately gone missing. Lloyd and him have agreed she should be fine, but they worry nonetheless.

Instead of flights, Jiro and Lloyd go for walks around the mountains- hikes as he calls them. Sometimes accompanied by Cole and Geo.

It's a good climb, if you ask him. It puts into perspective what Heatwave has to deal with, being the only other Drake at the Monastery.

Cole is able to find those ores that he needs to keep his electricity going- and sometimes he forgets how bad they taste coming straight from the earth. His time at Imperium and Sora bringing him refined products having spoiled- Er.. changed his taste.

Cole is nice, quiet, but nice. He asks if Jiro had ever heard of a Dragon named Rocky.

Jiro has, but only when word travelled out across the realms that the offspring of Firstbourne herself had been slain by Dragon Hunters.

Cole went quiet for two hours, tugging at a thing on his wrist.

Ep11. Misako and Lloyd help Garmadon. A surprise comes from the sky.

"No.." Lloyd said as he watched Garmadon fall. "He saved us.."

Misako just stood there silently and watched him fall into the abyss.

"We have to find him." She said decisively and started walking.

"Mom, wait!" Lloyd called out to her and she stopped. "What are the chances.." His voice was trembling.

"He can't be dead." Misako said firmly.

"Let's go." Lloyd said quietly and then they left.

"Help!?" Nya shouted as she carried the unconscious Skylor down the stairs. "We need help!"

"Nya, what's wrong?" Pixal asked as she ran to them.

"Aren't you resting?" Nya looked at her in confusion.

"No, I'm a nindroid." Pixal helped Nya carry Skylor.

"I think Garmadon's powers were too much for her." Nya explained as they carried her to safety.

"And we hope that Lloyd and Misako weren't on the part of the tower that was hit.We can't lose them after everybody we loss.." "

"I hope so too." Pixal clenched her lips. "The situation is bad.

We freed our allies from the prison, but Sons of Garmadon are too much! We simply can't defend ourselves...Nya?"

"Look up!" Nya enchantingly pointed out Pixal in the sky.

"Dad!" Lloyd shouted as he and Misako searched through the scattered rocks, what used to be Colossus, the terror of the ninjago.

"Come on, Garmadon..." Misako said softly.

Sensei Garmadon looked up at the sky.

He could hear sounds of fighting around him, but his surroundings were peaceful.

"Wait..." He said quietly when he realized he was awake and alive? How did he survive that fall!?!

He heard someone calling him.

"Lloyd... Misako.." He mumbled more than said with dry mouth.

Maybe they were just in his head.

"There he is!" Misako exclaimed and ran to him.

"Dad!" Lloyd followed her, almost crying.

"Garmadon.." Misako said softly and took his hand. "Are you okay?"

"As well as I can be." Sensei Garmadon tried to smile at them.

"You... you're human again." Lloyd smiled at him as he sat next to him.

"Can you sit?" Misako asked him. Sensei Garmadon shook his head, he couldn't, everything hurted him.

"We need to find help for him urgently." Lloyd said with concern. "Are you badly injured?"

"I don't have many wounds..." Sensei Garmadon made every effort to speak. "But my whole.. body is bruised."

Misako and Lloyd looked at each other worriedly.

"Mom, dad, look!" Lloyd pointed to the sky. Dragons were coming out of the sky, and on them were... Wu and ninjas!

"They're... alive!" Lloyd happily waved and pointed to the sky. "We need their help!"

"I... can't see them.." Sensei Garmadon coughed.

"Hang in there... help is coming soon." Misako said worriedly and squeezed his hand even harder.

"Those are the ninjas!" Pixal watched in awe as they fought against Sons of Garmadon on their dragons.

"And teenage Wu!" Nya laughed when she saw him.

"Sis?" Kai said and landed with his dragon.

"Kai!" Nya joyfully ran into his arms.

"What happened?" Kai quickly ran to Skylor when he saw her standing unconscious.

"Garmadon's powers were too much for her..." Nya sighed.

"Garmadon what?" Kai looked at her in disbelief.

"We'll talk later, we need to get help. Now!" Pixal said and helped Kai put Skylor on his dragon.

"She'll be okay." Nya reassured Kai.

"I hope so." Kai said seriously and took off.

"Now let's go help them defeat those stupid Sons of Garmadon." Nya angrily told Pixal.

"Master Wu!" Lloyd waved at Wu to get his attention.

"Lloyd?" Master Wu said and got off his dragon. "This is Firstbourne..."

"And you look somehow younger." Lloyd allowed himself a moment of joy and hugged his uncle.

"Where's Garmadon?" Master Wu asked, but then noticed Misako.

"Misako... brother? You've returned?" He said excitedly and knelt down next to Sensei Garmadon.

"He's unconscious." Misako looked worriedly at Wu. "He fell from the tower..."

"What?" Master Wu looked around in amazement.

"We need to take him to the monastery quickly." Lloyd interjected. "Actually, right away!"

"I'm going with Wu," Misako said as they put Garmadon on Firstbourne. "I'll try to help Garmadon as best I can."

"Okay, mom." Lloyd said and turned around. "I'm going to help my friends and allies to finally put an end to all of this."

"Be careful." Misako said and climbed onto the dragon.

"I'll be back as soon as possible." Wu said and patted Firstbourne. "This dragon has a lot more to show."

"Guys!" Lloyd shouted and ran to the ninjas. "You're alive!"

"Lloyd!" It took them some time, but they all hugged each other.

"Our allies from Kryptarium prison have arrived." Nya informed the others.

"It's time to send those scumbags to take their place!" Lloyd hit his fist on his palm.

"Wait.." Cole said and looked at Lloyd. "Is it just me or have your powers returned?"

Lloyd smiled at that.

"Then we're all in full force." Zane noticed.

"GO, NINJA, GO!"

I think it’s time I introduce my doomed ancient yuri to the ninjago fandom. I’ll leave the story under the cut if anyone wants to read it 💜 it includes my Wojira backstory and why I draw Nyad as oni

Wojira is the younger, less powerful sister of firstbourne, I think. Wojira and Firstbourne we’re both chill with Oni, but Firstbourne was more Reserved about it . Like, she didn’t enforce weird rules or anything but she also . Didn’t stop her kids from being really awful.

Wojira spent more time with Oni than other Dragons. Even her kids (wind and water Dragons) were sort of weird about it. She didn’t really like the sort of power hoarding attitude of the other Dragons and decided to teach them a lesson about it.

When the first master was born she realized that Oni blood COULD bear elemental magic, and she took in two Oni kids (Nyad and her brother who I made up and haven’t named yet lmao) and gave them wind and water (separately) magic. And the other Dragons were VERY mad about this. They thought it was disgraceful.

They tried to get Firstbourne to banish her . Firstbourne refused and so her kids just all worked together to banish her instead. And sort of gave her a fucked up cursed eternal headache (in the amulets) Whoops . Nyad and her brother followed Wojira into the realm of Ninjago and tried to ease her pain for years but eventually it just sort of broke her mind and she started laying absolute waste to everything.

The FSM goes through his whole story (still figuring out details of it in my headcanons) and comes to Ninjago, desperate for a new home. And Nyad and her brother (I really need to name them DIFNDKFM) are scared of him at first. But he shows them his elemental magic and they realize he’s like them (Oni with elemental magic). And they bond over that and tell him about Wojira. The first master decides to help Nyad convince the Merlopians and Islanders to resist Wojira and hopefully bring peace to the realm.

Over several months they become good friends, and they often calm Nyad’s brother by making beautiful little worlds out of their elemental magic for him. And the FSM promises that one day Ninjago will be safe like these worlds, and they’ll all be able to live there.

And these very very lonely people have made a little family.

Of course, the Oni hunters are sent to track down the FSM, and Mystaké is the first to find them. She announces herself and demands the first master return with her. He begs to stay just long enough to make this world safe for the people there, and she reluctantly agrees when they show her the safe world they’re planning to build. It looks beautiful.

Mystaké joins their efforts, hoping to speed along the process of the first master’s return to the first realm, but she finds herself amazed by their magic and (worse) deeply fond of the little trio. She falls in love with Nyad, and starts letting herself indulge in their hopeful fantasies of a safe world where no one will find them. In this time, Nyad gives the FSM a name of his own to use when they have their safer world. Hajime.

When the preparations are as ready as they’ll ever be, the Battle of Nine Days begins. On the eighth day, Nyad’s little brother (who wasn’t even fighting) is struck near-fatally, and Nyad launches a risky attack to try and end the battle once and for all. It’s unsuccessful, but she realizes Wojira’s weak spot. Like in canon, she merges with the sea, desperate to give the others a chance at the world they’d all hoped for, and hoping that her brother could be saved if the battle ended and he could get proper help.

She knows she should kill Wojira, but she can’t bring herself to. And instead of killing her she decides to take the amulets, and send Wojira into a deep, painless sleep, hopefully eternal.

Hajime is devastated by Nyad’s death, and though Mystaké grieves her as well, she’s a lot more accustomed to death, and watches her go, surprised by the ache in her heart.

The brother lives, but passes on his element very soon after the events of the battle, sick of it’s consequence. Hajime builds the new world and appoints new masters, though he doesn’t know where the water and wind elements went (not his domain). Mystaké never even brings up the idea of taking Hajime back to the first realm again, and protects him from other hunters when she can. Hajime lives a long long time before choosing to pass on and find peace for himself. Mystake lives another thousand years, farming strange enchanted teas, occasionally a companion to Wu and Garmadon.

In Hunted, she confides in Lloyd that if or when she dies, she would like to be sunk into the sea where the battle took place (not that she tells him the story. Just the location), and Lloyd thinks it’s just some weird senile old lady talk. But when she does die at the hands of his father and the Sons of Garmadon in Hunted, Lloyd doesn’t get a chance to row her out until after March of the Oni.

She liked Lloyd. He was a lot like Hajime.
