call for (very early) k'tober requests !!

hey all !!! i've started writing planning out my kinktober '25 fics already (and writing some of them... LMFAO). i know this is very early but...

i wanted to feel out if there were any particular characters, kinks, or character(s) and kink(s) scenarios that my lovely readers and mutuals would like to see?? (drop a comment or ask, whichever you are most comfortable with). these will all be default dom!reader and sub!character. i'd enormously appreciate any reblogs on this post <3

my fandom list is here. i'd only be comfortable writing for media i'm familiar with to ensure i do the characters justice! butttt my list isn't exhaustive so please just ask if you have something you're dying to read about hehe.

as for kinks, i don't have a list but you can check out #𐚁 mel writes! or #𐚁 mel yaps! if you'd like inspo, or just fire away. i promise i don't bite and there's ZERO judgement on this blog LOL. i'm comfortable with dark and light content. hard nos off the top of my head are: incest/stepcest, daddy/mommy kink & pregnancy.

there is no pressure of course — i have already planned out 31 days but i'd love to be able to give back to those that have been so sweet to me on here, and to anyone who enjoys my writing. i cannot promise requests will be fulfilled, but if any catch my fancy, i'll definitely write them and make sure to tag you next year when i post them <3 i hope this is reasonable hahahah!

Studying linguistics is actually so wonderful because when you explain youth slang to older professors, instead of complaining about how "your generation can't speak right/ you're butchering the language" they light up and go “really? That’s so wonderful! What an innovative construction! Isn't language wonderful?"

#linguistics #gen z slang #english #as people in the reblog pointed out!#most gen z slang comes from (or was appropriated from) aave #honestly I was just excited to talk about how people in my field actually get excited about non standard uses of English #instead of ridiculing speakers #and I tagged incorrectly and didn’t point out the very real issues of language and power and appropriation inherent in modern slang #in that much of it was appropriated #and even that which experiences language change in the wider culture still originated in aave #aave is just as linguistically valid as any other English dialect because it is a proper language #and the grammar is incredible!!!#habitual be is fantastic and an excellent example of how a richer case system or a certain case can render an adverb unnecessary #and the phonology is just beautiful #anyway I’m very sorry #I fucked up

ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE, people dropping mad mad sums of money on gfms and charities and stuff are extremely impressive but that DOES NOT MEAN that putting like $5 towards someone's fund or any good cause is any less valuable, a lot of crowdfunding is about momentum and those single digits add up super fast, you do not need to be Rolling In The Dough to make someone's day!! moving the dial at all is extremely positive!!

#what is ACTUAL POISON to crowdfunding is The Full Stop. when it just runs cold. at that point a single dollar coming in feels like #pushing the wheels out of the mud. all you need is movement. as long as it keeps moving.#this applies to gofundmes this applies to large organizations this applies to people asking for grocery money #moving the needle even just the slightest bit!! is huge!!#take it from someone who gets excited about $1 patrons #sergle.txt #people used to attach Apology messages to their $5 when I was raising money for my breast reduction #as if they should be doing more. but they were already doing so much and I was elated to just see a new donation Of Any Amount #ANY donation is extremely exciting to the person or people actually receiving it!!!!
