Muro & Co stand powers: Celia/Muro and Human Algebra

bc i have only talked about most of them in passing/ages ago. not gonna have the full stats bc most of them are pretty op bc i dont actually focus much on the fights and more how they fit. so gonna do some posts bc we were talking about what superpowers ocs would have on the discord

Muro/Celia: Human Algebra [sometimes known as killing machine]

Human Algebra or 'Angie' for short is a partially automatic, very close ranged phenomenon stand [doesn't have a physical form]

Angie can alter the forces acting on any object within three inches of Celias skin, with the weakest/slowest affect being at the edge of that range and the strongest/fastest being touching Celias skin

Celia sees arrows on any object within her range that represent a force diagram of that, and can mentally manipulate those arrows to change the forces in a way that alters the movement of the object

The larger the object the harder it is to manipulate, and anything not within her range [any object larger that three inches] will move unpredictably and possible break as only the object within her range has the forces altered- However the altered forces and therefor altered course of an object remains after it leaves the stands range, and acts as any object with those forces acting on it would, being subject to resistance and gravity.

energy cannot be created or destroyed so its much easier to make an object in motion move in a different direction than change the velocity, as that requires stand energy to act as resistance to halt the movement or to get a stationary object moving, so its better to throw/drop and object then use the stand on it by moving the hands so its within range to be manipulated

Applications include: redirecting projectiles aimed at Celia, sending projectiles at other people. killing people.

other info:

stand cry is in the works, but the ability of catching a bunch of bullets/projectiles, holding them in midair for suspense, then sending them back at people is called 'Celebrate the Bullet' and takes loads of stand energy, mainly for the holding in midair part.

Angie is called partially automatic as her goal is to protect Celia, and when Celia first got her, she couldnt control her stand, which is why angie was at the time dubbed 'killing machine' and her ability of using whatever in range to attack someone threatening Celia was called 'mindless violence' Because Celia hated herself at the time.

Human Algebra is actually a shared stand as well, as although she doesnt have a form that has a range outside of Celias body, she can transfer herself from body to body, as in the case where Muro transfers Human Algebra to Rametta so Rametta can survive the attack that kills the then unprotected Muro.

I sometimes sympathise with people who hate taylor swift just because they feel oversaturated by how big she's been lately but at the same time I also do not relate because I pay almost no attention to things I am not interested in. if it does not give me dopamime it is not on my radar. those gay firefighters? I feel nothing towards them. game of thrones was a cultural juggernaut for years and yet I simply shrugged when people asked me about it. I live in a city known for football as someone who does not care about football yet I get through my day without developing a complex over it. "taylor swift is everywhere I can't escape her" sorry to hear that bro, I cannot relate because I have zero object permeance and if it does not spark joy it blinks out of existence

I really like the idea of the bat kids designating Dick and Jason's apartments as sibling gathering spots but for opposite reasons.

Sibling needs some comfort? Some eldest daughter advice? A shoulder to cry on or just a lil getaway spot from the chaos of Gotham? Dick's apartment is perfect.

But if a batkid wants to complain, maybe wants to talk shit about Bruce, or maybe even wants to discuss a lil felony in a judgement free zone? Jason's place it is.

And I like to imagine that while Dick readily keeps his doors open and reminds anyone that they can drop by anytime, it's the opposite for Jason.

Dude's got his place riddled with traps and locked up to the high heavens. He makes it obvious he doesn't want visitors, and vaguely insinuates that there are bombs rigged somewhere in his apartment so there's a always a 50/50 chance you might get blown up if he's feeling particularly bitchy one day.

But does that stop his siblings? Absolutely not. Unlike Dick (who assigns himself as the guiding older brother), Jason has been forcefully labelled as the older sibling you go to if you need to complain and stir up havoc. The hundreds of traps in his place mean nothing. And it's worse because Jason is never prepared for when someone drops in.

[Jason, 3 hours into his sleep, blearily waking up to a weight on his chest at 4am]:

[Damian, perched atop him, eyes dead-centre locked onto Jason without blinking]: Hello, Todd-stop screaming it is unbecoming-I just came to tell you that father won't allow me to adopt another stray I found on patrol.

Jason, half-asleep and like 70% sure he's hallucinating: Wha-

Damian: I need you to blow up his car.

Jason:

[Jason, arriving home after a 6 hour patrol, exhausted out of his mind, turning on the lights]:

[Stephanie, previously baking brownies in the pitch black darkness before Jason arrived]: Oh hey! Just thought I'd drop by, y'know, for fun.

Jason: Bruce yelled at you again.

Stephanie: Bruce yelled at me again.

And yes, while most of the time, it ends up as wholesome sibling bonding, sometimes the other batkids just feel like inconveniencing Jason just whenever, because what are siblings for?

[Jason waking up and seeing all of his traps and security systems disarmed and very deliberately broken in a way where he'll have to replace all of them instead of being able to reactivate them]:

[Jason, immediately dialing his phone angrily]: Tim, I swear to GOD-

ghost who works with abused dogs because he can relate to their fear and anger and soap who's terrified of dogs but needs a service animal after he gets shot

ghost who's covered in just as many bite scars and scratches as he is scars from his childhood and the military, but he never holds it against a single dog

he knows what it's like to feel trapped and think you only have one way out

he sits through the barking and the lunges, steadily gets closer as he gently talks with each dog, apologises when he moves too quick and gets bitten because it's always his fault, never the dog's. no one bites for no reason

the pride he feels when he gets to share their blanket for the first time is only matched by the day of their adoption

it’s soap's friend’s idea to bring him to check out a dog to foster while his service dog goes through training. he knows he's uncomfortable around dogs - he never made a production out of it but you can only duck around someone so they’re in between you and a dog so many times before they pick something up - but he just thinks he's not used to them and being around one will be enough to calm him down

soap knows he needs a service animal; both for medical reasons and help with every day tasks but also for emotional regulation. he pings from depression to apathy to white hot rage so quick it exhausts him; he's so tired of blowing up at people just because he can't keep his head on straight

he needs a service dog

but just hearing the barking from outside has him so on edge, he's almost sick from it

a volunteer shows them all the dogs available to foster. his friend gushes over every single one; cooing about how cute and sweet they look, just darling things, encouraging them to jump up on their barrier and play tug with their toys, and “come on soap, say hello”

soap keeps his distance, smiling thinly as the volunteer introduces each dog

but ghost happens to be in one of the kennels working with his latest trouble case

and he can plainly see how terrified soap is, no matter how well he thinks he’s hiding it

he flinches at every bark, his hands fisted at his sides, but his friend just doesn't notice; too occupied with the lab mix he’s playing with. ghost can see just how tight he's winding up, the tension creeping up his spine, his “smile” twitching uncontrollably, and it doesn't surprise him in the slightest when he finally snaps at his friend to “just fuck off, alright!” after he keeps pushing him to get closer to the dogs

the abrupt silence is tight and judgmental; the friend giving him a wild look. soap gives a short apology, still angry even though if anyone just took the time to look, it’d be clear he doesn't want to be, and storms out while his friend apologises to the volunteer; dripping with shame and embarrassment that sets ghost's teeth on edge

he could've stopped a dozen times before soap blew up, should've seen the warning signs that he was getting overwhelmed and afraid long before he got to that point

he spreads out a few treats for his dog, both a reward for his patience and an apology for prematurely ending their time together, slowly getting to his feet. he heads outside to find soap in the alley beside the shelter, swearing at himself under his breath and looking seconds away from punching the brick

and when soap snaps, “enjoying the show?”, squaring up with his teeth bared, ghost just leans back against the wall; open and non-threatening and waits for soap to come to him

just ghost who knows what it's like to be angry and afraid and has the patience to help soap feel more in control of himself, never flinching from his bark or his involuntary bite, as well as help him through his fear in time for his service dog
