checking out the tropes some more and ,,,
Caged Bird Metaphor: As Derrick's favorability for Penelope rises, he captures a bird during the royal hunt the same dark pink color of her hair. It's gemlike, and some of its eggs are supposed to be gems. He offers to give it to her since it was what pre-game Penelope once asked for, but Penelope instead finds herself comparing herself to it, and it's condition as trapped in a cage the same as her trapped in a deadly game. And more abstractly, Derrick's desire to keep Penelope safe by keeping her in the mansion and far from noble society.
damnit derrick 😭 why must you be so insufferable
Loving Bully: As it turns out the verbal and emotional abuse Penelope receives from Derrick is partly a mask to hide that he also has romantic feelings for her. As it's not possible for him to act on those feelings but he can't resist the attraction he feels towards her he channels it into insults and criticisms of herself and her behavior.
not only is it not end game but i can't even get good fanfiction bc he makes himself so unlikable
Not Blood Siblings: As Penelope is adopted and not related to Derrick nor Reynold by blood, in the Hard Mode they are presented as possible romantic interests. Though our Penelope quickly discards them as options, as they remind her too much of her biological half brothers. Later in the story it's shown that Derrick has always had romantic and possibly sexual feelings for Penelope, which is why he always hates when she calls him "brother". On one hand he is disgusted with himself for feeling that way toward his adopted sister, but the way he deals with those feelings is by being harsh and abusive towards her.
there's not even any amvs of them despite the blue and red color scheme being gorgeous with them
at least i can make the videos even if it's not the same as just consuming and maybe some will get invested from my video and make me a fanfic
If Derrick/Penelope was canon endgame I would consume the heck out of this content. He needs to work on himself a little of course but there's so much potential here.
Please send links to your videos when you make them (which hopefully you will!)

I had to do this one. A bit rough because I had to write it before it became a whole AU and I got obsessed. Cheers 🤗💖
[Read on AO3]
NOW WITH ART!
----
That's it.
It was done.
Finally, after long and painful years of court battles, invasive medical exams, summoning the freaking Justice League and its supernatural division - Danny was not only considered a sentient creature, but a minor in need of better parents.
The decision was logical in all aspects. Jasmine had taken care of Danny their whole lives, she provided everything he needed and more; and when things got dire for both of them, it had been her who came up with the plan to get Batman's attention and therefore the Justice League's.
Was it cheap to appeal to his weakness to children in need? Maybe. Was it unfair that she had identified the pattern of young boys with black hair and blue eyes with a tragic past? It was!
But life hadn't been fair for her so far. Why have the same decency with others?
And it worked. It worked maybe too well.
Because she didn’t expect getting so involved with the Bats and the Birds to the point of being accepted under their wing and getting to know them out of the mask. Jazz thought it had been all Danny’s natural charm, it was difficult not to be endeared by her little brother’s sass and quick wit.
She never expected getting the love of her life out of this whole tragedy, though. Jason was one of the first to get deeply invested in their story, and it surprised her how emotional he was, how he was not afraid to admit he would deal with the situation in his own quick and murdery way if it didn’t make everything worse for her and her brother.
Danny sometimes joked that he was the perfect wingman and that they met thanks to him, and she didn’t complain that much when the two of them teamed up to bully her. Jazz had never seen Danny imprint so fast on someone, not like he did with Jason.
That’s how she knew he was the one. Ride or die (and die, the two idiots usually joked) was how the three of them rolled, no matter what her biological parents threw at them.
They became a family long before she had to marry Jason in a rush. It was a quick legal thing, they did it in the courtroom with a few close witnesses, and only because they wouldn’t let her adopt Danny because the judge doubted that a single mother was the better option.
Bruce offered to adopt, of course. No strings attached. But Jazz was stubborn and Danny didn’t want him to, and Jason said he didn’t mind-
(He later said he had been thinking about it anyway)
- so that was settled.
And it was the turning point.
That same morning, for the case of Jasmine Nightingale v Jackson and Madeline Fenton over the custody of Daniel James Fenton, the judge declared the elder Fentons unfit to take care of Daniel on the grounds of abuse and neglect and custody had been given to his older sister.
They were free. Bruce mentioned they would revisit again for some restraining order and visitation rights revoke; but now he wished the new happy family a good afternoon and good luck.
“It’s so quiet.”
Jazz nodded, understanding what Danny wanted to say. The small apartment she had rented in Gotham was a harsh contrast to the media madness the custody battle became, especially the moment Jason and Bruce got involved, and worse when the Justice League had to intercede.
“Danny.”
The teenager turned to look at his new adoptive father. Both looked tired and spent, suit jackets already discarded and the ties forgotten in the car; but they smiled at each other, the first smile since they heard the judge’s decision.
“Danny, you are free.”
Jazz would always remember how her brother’s face contorted as he tried not to cry. She looked at her boyfri- her husband, nodding at him and turning towards the kitchen to heat up some leftovers, giving her boys privacy to hug in peace.
It was a work in progress, since they both had serious issues with human contact, no matter how much Jazz had tried to get them used to it. Who would have known that the solution was to get Danny to cuddle with him one movie night? From then on it was like a snowball falling down the hill - they touched, hugged, and weren’t afraid to be in each other’s personal space.
When Jazz came back with their food she let a tear go down her cheek. It was in moments like these that she was glad that Jason was a tank of a man, since it let Danny get lost in the hug and enjoy being carried like a child for a moment, like he had never been by his own parents.
Jason held him tightly against his chest, one hand supporting his legs around his torso and the other placed on Danny’s back as he cried against his fancy clothes, not caring if he ruined it or not.
It didn’t take long to pry him from the man, the promising smell of yesterday’s stew enough to calm Danny down and get him to sit down and eat with renewed enthusiasm. At least he didn’t lose his appetite with all the drama, but Jazz suspected that Jason’s amazing cooking was to thank for that.
Later that night, after crying out all the tears and hugging out all the anxiety, Jazz declared it was mandatory cuddle time. They showered and changed clothes, put on a crappy Hallmark movie in the main bedroom TV, and hopped on the bed to watch it and make fun of it together.
Logistics took a moment to figure out, but it became obvious that it was best that Danny was between Jason and Jazz, perfectly sandwiched by the ‘fearful giants’ as he decided to mock them from time to time, petty at how his sister inherited the tall genes and he didn’t.
Soon, about in the middle of the movie, Danny fell asleep in his sister’s arms, one hand still extended towards Jason. His fingers twitched, like he was trying to close his fist around something.
“Did we…” Jazz softly whispered, trying to not wake up her brother, “did we do the right thing?”
It had been desperate, rushed, and she knew this wasn’t over. She always had plans and backup plans, and she couldn’t remember a time she wasn’t positive she was going to adopt her brother and take him away from her parents once she could.
But it was one thing to dream about it and another to experience it.
Jason hummed, looking down at Danny’s twitching hand and placing his hand in his. Immediately, Danny sighed and relaxed, holding onto the familiar warmth.
Her husband’s smile was charged with emotion when he looked back at her.
“I think we are going to kill it, in my unbiased opinion.”
She believed him - Jason always told her his honest thoughts. It was one of the things she loved the most about him.
She leaned in a little and he quickly understood she wanted a kiss, shuffling closer and squishing Danny between their bodies to properly kiss her on the lips.
“If you guys are going to start smooching I’m leaving.”
Jazz laughed at the annoyed tone, Danny’s voice slurred from sleepiness. She laughed harder when Jason kissed her again to spite Danny, purposely getting closer and looping his arm around their bodies to pull Jazz towards him, crushing Danny between them. His squeaks and complaints were successfully ignored.
Touch starved Danny gets cuddles from tallmom!Jazz and tankdad!Jason after a long and hard custody battle against the neglectful Fenton parents.
Thoughts?
aksndfsdba.jfafmln !!!!!!!!!! YES i love this so much homie!!!!!! aaaaaa!!!!!
Jason also is thriving because both him and Danny haven't had good experiences with positive touch and contact so they're learning and healing together :)

Reasons why Luz and  Hunter are siblings
(...Or more specifically why I think this interpretation of their relationship is what Dana wanted, and why it might be addressed in Thanks to Them)
1. Wittebane Paralells
https://random-autie-fangirl.tumblr.com/post/695575730165350400/an-adhd-coded-bisexual-gal-who-is-studying-wild
I made this rather messy analysis comparing Luz and Hunter with the Clawthorne Sisters and Wittebane brothers, it’s not that long but it basically boils down to  This:
Hunter is a “reincarnation” of Caleb (of sorts) gets a younger human sibling who loves him unconditionally this time. Philip killed Caleb for daring to find a place on the isles, but it’s Luz who makes sure Hunter has a permanent place to stay in the demon realm.(by offering Hunter to stay at the owl house, an offer i’m almost sure Hunter will take her up on in Season 3)
and This:
An ADHD coded bisexual gal who is studying wild magic has a chaotic (and funny) rivalry with a more lawful autistic coded person in the emperor’s coven who is two years older than her, and then the lawful one saves the chaotic one from emperor Belos and turns against the emperor after. Am I talking about Luz and Hunter? or Eda and Lilith? Both, of course. Relationship parallels aren’t just for romance, after all.
For Eda and Lilith (To be honest, I’m actually really quite sure you could swap Eda and Lilith and Luz and Hunter’s interactions round and almost all of them would still be in character)
The masks they’re wearing look possibly like the Wittebane masks.
Obviously they're based on king and hooty too but luz with the horned mask, and hunter with the diagonal eye slit mask...yeah (relating to that, there is a theory that the golden guard mask is also based on a childhood mask caleb had which doesn't have that much evidence behind it, but like, might that be why hunter has it in the first place?
Like I doubt Hunter would want to make a new mask that resembles the golden guard one himself but what if he mysteriously found a wooden version of his old mask somewhere (because it used to belong to Caleb), was understandably freaked out and Luz helped him feel better by drawing a beak on it and re-dubbing it a hooty mask, all while sharing silly and chaotic stories about hooty (both because there's no shortage of those, and it would be a way of making up for getting cheated out of hunter and hooty interactions we could have had in a full season 3 according to dana)
And honestly, these two shots match up far too perfectly to be a mistake:  https://toastraccoon.tumblr.com/post/697394126352678912/am-i-the-only-one-that
2. Hunter Clawthorne?
Okay, this is quite a bit more speculative but like...Luz asks Hunter to come stay with her and...Eda? You know, the witch, who is pretty obviously supposed to be Luz’s second mum?
"You can stay at the Owl House if you want. I'm sure Eda would be cool with it once we... tell her what we... heard." Luz in Hollow Mind
Not only that but Eda gave Luz her jacket in an act of familial love, Luz tosses the same jacket out to hunter and metaphorically extends that familial love out to Hunter.  Like, between that line and the jacket symbolism, I heard the "come live with us, come be part of our family" message loud and clear.
And well, wouldn’t it be cute if both luz and hunter are paying homage to other owl house members with their masks because Hunter decided he’s going to join the owl fam later down the line (especially if the two had been disscussing it just before)
Also Hunter just is a Clawthorne, (and it's quite likely to be genetic too) The traits he shares are obvious and he fits into the family like a glove. He has a bird palisman and the iconic “BYYYYYYEEEE” for a start.
(And after all, Eda does have a habit of adopting strays and particularly children who are the only one of their species on the isles, a human? a titan? why not a grimwalker, huh?) (side tangent: but since it’s likely the Collector  will be redeemed and they are just a child, and I could see him forming a genuine friendship with King, maybe Eda will end up raising a star person too)
Hunter's parental connection to Darius is also important and obvious, but since Luz is probably going to end up co-parented by Eda and Camila, why not have the same for Hunter? Luz can be a Noceda-Clawthorne and Hunter can be a Deamonne-Clawthorne.
So Caleb becomes a Clawthorne by marrying into the family and Hunter becomes a Clawthorne by being adopted. And you know what,  maybe Hunter deserves two (or three) little siblings and a big extended family.
But the point is, that while some of these are headcanons, that between the nettles(see below) and the hollow mind line, I don't think it's too unlikely for Luz to casually re-iterate her offer for Hunter to live at the owl house if they make it back to the isles or to punctuate with an "after all, i've always wanted an older brother." (Especially since it makes sense for them to start talking about the owl fam while making/adjusting their masks, and for Hunter to start getting visibly jealous when Luz starts talking wistfully about her little family)
3. Just some miscellaneous things
https://loosescrewslefty.tumblr.com/post/657608846282522624/loosescrewslefty-loosescrewslefty-shout-out-to @loosescrewslefty (If you don’t mind me mentioning you) made this post about floriography in the Owl House.
This is interesting because in hunting palismen, Luz passes Hunter a pot of nettles, (It's almost always a thing that with any plants in the owl house, their floriography/flower language will symbolise something in the actual show) and nettles symbolize healing, calmness, stress relief, and SIBLING RELATIONSHIPS (full post from loosescrewslefty)
The Thanks to Them trailer and promos have promised quite a bit of focus on Luz and Hunter’s realationship, while giving us 2 out of 3 of the main Wittebro paralells on the list. Pair that with the fact that the episode might well give us more of the Wittebanes’ backstory at the same time and well...
A bit of a controversial idea here, but might that be why Dana has always seemed a little more openly annoyed with Lunter than any other opposing ship (or any other M/F ship). Both with removing the Hunter blush in Hunting Palismen and sort of mocking it on april’s fool day? (neither of which I really agree with, by the way) Like it could be because she knew Luz’s and Hunter’s relationship was going somewhere that didn’t really gel with a romantic interpretation, I dunno
For my last thing, I kind of want to say, they just act like it! It’s actually often reactors with siblings that  say Luz and Hunter act like them and their siblings in real life and  content creators who are basing Luz and Hunter’s dynamic off real-life interactions with their own siblings tend to be most accurate and close to how Luz and Hunter interact in canon!
And since one of Luz and Hunter’s very first interactions in Hunting Palismen Luz licking Hunter’s hand in an interaction that’s exactly the same as an interaction between the twins Mabel and Dipper in Gravity Falls. And since Dana also worked on that show, I see no reason why that parallel/reference couldn’t be deliberate too. Also the face pushing fight is something both Eda and Lilith and all the Blight siblings also did,  so yeah
.... That’s all my evidence. What do you think?

ook ok ok so the story so far: clocktower fam refers to these 5 people that live in a house in the middle of a deep forest on the outskirts of a megalopolis (the city's known for having glass sidewalks and eco brutalist architecture) anyway i call them the clocktower fam bc their home has this huge clocktower lol ok
anyway the head of the gang, kano (really really tall dude always found with a cool gas mask, rumoured to be a bird monster that ripped his beak off in order to experience what its like to be a human as repentance for the monstery-stuff that he did), his hobby is researching the fauna and flora of the forest, and he comes across this plant that hes never seen before, most beautiful thing that hes ever seen in his hundreds of years of living.
fast forward every since he discovers the flower, theres this kid that keeps following him around, kid looks simultaneously sickly yet powerful, and she has a permanent smile on her face, and red eyes that look like they can burn through metal (metaphorically.....and maybe literally too spoiler alert idk), anyway she doesnt know where or who she is or where she came from, and the forest is dangerous so kano steps out of the forest for the first time in years to search for the kid's parents or smth, but surprise, nowhere to be found. he adopts the kid. their name is lynne :)
fast forward even more, lynne is very much interested in researching the forest as well, and a lot of kano's encyclopedia on the forest and the other surrounding forests are mostly filled out now because of their teamwork, with the exception of the weird plant kano found that one day. they do however discover that lynne's eyes have a link to the plant, and.... they have a theory that it's a dangerous plant, but for now it's not really something theyre worried about and lynne's confident she can handle their "symptoms"
i havent written much about the rest of the gang, but in short they befriend each other throughout the course of the story during kano and lynne's research, theres raquella (an elementary school kid, third daughter of a scientist who kano has connections with, she has the same condition as lynne and is often mistaken to be lynne's sister but they absolutely have nothing to do with each other) theres sullivan (might change the name, computer engineering freshman former-prodigy with a horrible case of imposters syndrome and a quarter life crisis, and has a love of frogs and ecology) theres also camellia (apparently knows kano and was with him when he was still a monster, detests him now but is also extremely curious about this weird plant thing and why kano is so fascinated by the forest and doesnt want to go back home)

It's finals week here so I am going aaaaaaaaaaaaa but hey here's a chapter. pls send validation so i can get through my finals
hermit tommy au made by @petrichormeraki
Astrid was glad that she was both wearing a mask and that Grian was staring at the comm so he couldn’t see the panicked look on her face. Fortunately, there seemed to be a slight scuffle on the comm as Vee tried to take it back, and Flora also returned with her comm. “Hey, I’m back with the videos. Is Vee still there?”
“Sort of? Grian answered. “Vee’s friend is upset about something to do with his dad.”
“Oh, Vee, are you getting another sibling?”
“No. Uh, m-maybe? I d-dunno if it counts or not.”
“Absolutely not! Now what about-”
There was a thunk on the other end of the line. “I w-want the videos.”
“Alright then.” And Flora messed with her comm before a voice came from whatever video was playing. Grian didn’t know what it was about, but whoever was in the videos seemed to be calming Vee with their voice, until eventually, Vee thanked Astrid and Flora before finally hanging up. Also apparently because someone new had arrived to help with her getting somewhere. “Well stay safe. And that’s a message from the both of us.”
When the call ended and Astrid put her comm away, Grian looked between the two other teens for some explanation. “Right. You’re always confused.” Flora said, causing Grian to give her the stink eye. “Well it’s true. Well, that was Astrid’s sister Vee. She’s got a really bad fear of most mobs, even peaceful ones or… hybrids.”
“But, you’re very clearly a hybrid. What does she do around you?” Grian asked. He wasn’t exactly a pro at hybrids and anything with them, even if he was one himself, but seeing as how Flora’s face was literally a fox’s and she was always dealing with a big poofy tail, it was extremely hard to mistake her for anything else or try to hide it.
“She kinda… doesn’t. I’ve only really met her once, and that was with their dad using magic to disguise me.”
“Sorry if this gets off track for a moment, there’s of course other stuff I’d like to know and ask, but first, uh… magic?”
Astrid nodded, and then a moment later, in an aura of blue, white headphones appeared over Astrid’s ears, the earpads decorated with a sort of spiral symbol that to Grian vaguely resembled an ear. ‘Magic.’
“Astrid and Vee’s dad is like Grifter… and I guess you too. They’re this race of magic users called Listeners. While you can’t actually be born a Listener or anything, other Listeners can train people to become new Listeners, which is what their dad did for Astrid and Vee. They’re both still in training, but as you can see, Astrid’s doing pretty well.”
“That’s really cool!” Grian exclaimed. “Well, even though I shouldn’t, Grifter thinks I’ve got a bit of magic I can train with, which could really help me if I can get back to my own time and maybe change a few things.”
“Just don’t do anything to mess us up.” Flora warned jokingly. “Now, what else do you want to know?”
“Uh, is it okay to ask why Vee’s so scared of mobs?”
Flora glanced to Astrid, who shrugged and then signed what seemed like an unrelated answer. ‘Vee and I are adopted.’
“Wait, you are? How does that fit into this?”
“Astrid’s brother was a piece of shit and their birth parents kinda ditched them ages ago. Vee’s, on the other hand, well, her dad wasn’t around much, so she stuck with her mom. And her mom essentially ran a zoo or something else with a lot of animals. Stuff as simple as a pet bird or cat all the way up to horses, panthers, even some fucking dinosaurs! And while they took care of the animals pretty well, it wasn’t the same for Vee, who essentially got punished by getting shoved in with some of the other animals, even if they were hostile towards her.”
Grian winced. He was terrified enough of rabbits just from Sa- a certain someone being a hybrid, but to get tortured by animals of all kinds, no wonder she had been freaked out so badly. “So, I’m guessing she’s not a hybrid, nor is your dad.”
‘Nah, our dad is a human. And Vee is okay with hybrids of certain kinds. Especially ones that have traits they can hide like you can, or ones not associated with bad memories, like my dad’s friend Ely-’ Astrid paused to spell the name out. ‘-who’s a cyclops.’
“Alright, good to know.” Grian nodded, before Flora piped up once more.
“But, she does have a pet of her own, it’s a moss ball named Cardamom. I have seen pictures and he is adorable. Here, Astrid show him some pictures.”
Astrid rolled her eyes behind her mask where no one could see, but then pulled her comm out and swiped through, bringing up a few pictures of a moss ball in a terrarium tank. ‘She started with just a large potion bottle, but thought he would get too cramped. Now it’s pretty much too big for just one, but she refuses to get another.”
Grian laughed at that, swiping through the pictures, before pausing and looking back over to Flora. “One last question for now. What were those recordings?”
Flora looked to Astrid for her to give the answer, only for her to shake her head. ‘No. He’s got to be a level three friend for my traumatic backstory.’
“Aww, but Astrid! What is a level three friend if not someone who will kidnap a toddler with you for a prank?”
Astrid didn’t look convinced at first, but finally relented after a few minutes where Grian just stared at the other teens awkwardly. ‘Fine, and you can be the one to tell him.’
“Yes!” Flora cheered, then grabbed Grian’s wrist as well as Astrid’s hand before dragging them to a better part of the room so they could sit down. “Alright, the simple answer to your question is those were recordings of Astrid.”
“But she was talking.” Grian said, causing Astrid to flip him off.
‘I wasn’t always mute, bitch.’
“Oh.”
“Yeah, that’s where the long version comes in.” Flora started to explain, before getting a look from Astrid. “Okay medium version. So you know how your dad is kind of the embodiment of death? Or one of them at least.” Flora paused for Grian to nod. “Well, seeing as how you were stuck wherever, you didn’t know there’s a phrase to essentially summon him. It only really works for certain people, but before you- or future you was admin, it was Astrid’s brother. He was worried about you dad messing with him and his plans, so he kinda… cut out the vocal chords of anyone related to him in some way.”
Grian choked on air at the statement, not helped by Flora having rushed through the sentence and him needing a few extra seconds to process it. “He what?!”
Flora nodded, taking a moment to center herself again. “He got to my dad, my grandma, Theseus, Euro, and even my mom. You didn’t live here at the time, so you were fine.”
“O-okay… but how does that relate to those videos?” Grian asked, trying not to picture what had probably happened.
“Well, when Astrid was offered by her dad to do magic, she wanted some way to fix us. With her just starting out, she couldn’t really do much, but she found an old spell and used that. Because of her skill level and the spell being old, it took a while for her to get it right, but just when she was getting close to having it ready, you showed up and fixed it yourself. My family’s all fixed up, but because of that, Astrid’s spell couldn’t finish or something, so until then, she kinda can’t talk.”
Grian nodded. “And we can’t just…” he was going to continue by saying they couldn’t just make someone need the spell used, but then he looked up. “I’m sorry, who fixed it instead of Astrid?”
“Future you?” Flora said, though in a confused tone. “What, did you not want me not telling my girlfriend? Sorry, but that’s where I cross the line.”
‘You already knew?’ Astrid signed, glad she didn’t need to hide everything.
“Uh, yeah. He told me when I nearly killed him from chopping up my forest.” Flora explained, making Astrid glare at Grian through her mask.
“Oh yeah. I did do that, didn’t I?” Grian said, thinking it over.
‘You’re an idiot.’ Astrid replied, along with a slap to really get the point across.
.
.
.
“That… does not look good.” Phil spoke up as he and the others saw smoke ahead. At first, the group had tried holing up in Phil’s castle to think of a plan before just running into things, but after already being locked up in a cell, changing scenery didn’t change things up. Before long, Xannes was causing some arguments, mainly with Mumbo, who was the most concerned from being separated from Grum again. So after everyone was snuck out of the castle, they went in the direction of the other kingdom.
Seeing the smoke made the group speed up, weapons ready. On the way there were various people in armors of either black and red, or silver and pink. People in both sorts of armor attacked them as well as each other, which didn’t help with various concerns and worries. And then they actually reached the gate.
“So Phil.” Doc spoke up. “I think we might have some trouble getting everyone else together.” And the hybrid pointed up to a banner hanging from the gate with a pink skull and crossbones.
“What are you-” And Phil looked where Doc was pointing to see the flag before needing to stab someone in black. “Oh that’s fucking great.”
“Well, I’m sure that means the others are okay.” Mumbo spoke up, barely dodging someone who attempted to attack him from behind. “I mean, I doubt he would let them get hurt, right?”
“Well, up until five seconds ago, I was perfectly fine being at war with him. Plus you were stuck in my dungeon or whatever without me knowing who you were. Paul could be under the same situation.”
“Well! How about some good news?” Xannes shouted. “I think we don’t have to deal with half of these guys. Some of them are actually listening to me for some reason.” And just as EX said, the warriors in black were listening to any orders he was giving them. “No clue if that’s actually good in the long run, but I really don’t fucking care right now.”
“Can you get them to get us a clear path into the kingdom?” Xisuma asked, getting a response from his brother in the form of the warriors making the requested path.
Inside the kingdom was just as chaotic as outside. People were running about with any of the silver guards focused on those in black armor as opposed to Phil and the others. Mumbo and Xisuma both helped out with getting people to safety, even if they weren’t actually real, while Doc and Phil along with EX’s help got them a path towards the castle.
When the group had reached a courtyard that was halfway to the castle, they were stopped by lightning striking near some of the warriors Xannes was ordering around, causing them to go into a bit of a frenzy. The commotion managed to separate everyone, only Doc and Phil knowing enough of where they were to keep most of their bearings about them, Phil most of all since he was able to fly out of the mess.
Once he was in the air, Phil looked around, hoping to quickly find the others and pull them up, possibly landing them on a roof. But instead, the avian’s eyes landed on someone both pink and back, specifically- “Techno!”
The piglin hybrid looked up before knocking a silver guard out and leaving Phil room to land. “Phil, you doing okay?”
“Well I’m apparently in a war with my brother.”
“So you’re saying-” Techno was stopped by another silver guard that he knocked to their feet. “-that all of these guys are supposed to be working for Paul?”
“Well the ones with the pink sheep kingdom logo on their armor.” Phil clarified, ducking to dodge a stray arrow. “The guys in black are a different story, though I assume you know that from you wearing their armor.”
“Well duh, you gave me this.” Techno answered, leaving Phil a bit confused.
“What are you talking about?” He asked, but Techno could barely answer when a few more guards showed up. In the middle of fighting them, Phil grabbed Techno before carrying him up to the roof of a nearby church. “Alright, tell me what the fuck is going on mate.”
.
.
.
Wilbur and Grum were holed up in a library, using the bookshelves as barricades from the fighting outside. Though it wasn’t as loud as before, Grum still had some sort of alarm going off, which Wilbur was doing his best to muffle to keep anyone from coming after the noise and subsequently them.
They had gotten warning from Nancy before the prison blew up enough to disable the redstone keeping everyone trapped. Techno was able to pull Tommy out of his cell and Wilbur carried Grum out of theirs before they met up with Phil. He was glad to see everyone was alright and then handed out some armor and weapons to everyone, and everyone included the other prisoners as well.
The first of the other prisoners was Nancy, who was handed what seemed to be a wand. She used it to give herself a cloak matching the armor Phil was giving out, though with gold accents of her own at the hems. The second was a balding man with a beard, who took a bow and armor that started off unenchanted, but seemed to enchant itself as he took it. The last was an avian that ignored an offered chestplate, but took plenty of daggers.
When Phil turned to the others, Techno gladly took the offered armor and weapons, Tommy doing the same and Wilbur blindly grabbed some things as he tried to figure out why Grum still seemed panicked. Before long, everyone was moving past what was a very broken wall. Techno said something about finding the others as Tommy raced off, Techno following behind leaving Wilbur and Grum alone.
Grum was still giving off some sort of alarm, so Wilbur just picked the bot up and ran to the nearest building that didn’t have people essentially surrounding it. He took them upstairs and set Grum down to make some sort of barrier, and that’s where they were now, barricaded in a library.
“Grum, please. What’s going on?” Wilbur asked, worried about the kid. “Is this related to the fighting? Is there something about it that’s causing a problem?” But Grum doesn’t answer, which just gets him upset. “Okay, how about this then. You keep making that alarm, and I bet the thing that set it off in the first place will come over here to track down what’s making that sound and shut you up.”
That seems to work as Grum is finally quiet and Wilbur can finally hear himself think again. “Okay, that’s better. Now what was that all about?”
Grum doesn’t answer verbally. Instead, he’s suddenly clinging tightly to Wilbur. “I… I know it’s not supposed to be real…”
“Okay kid, we just dealt with your nightmare, and we’ve escaped from prison even though part of your issue was getting trapped.” Wilbur pauses, realizing he’s sounding a bit too harsh. “I don’t understand. What’s so bad about getting out?”
Wil nearly misses the words that Grum says next, but the quietness of the words and the fear that surrounds them is enough to make a shiver go up his spine. “He’s out too.”
.
.
.
Doc isn’t sure how many people he’s slain by the time he finally gets a chance to breathe. The armor he was given is already pretty damaged, but with him being on the castle steps right now, he’s pretty sure he can make it. That is, if Paul is even in the castle right now with all this fighting. Doc knows the other Mindcracker wasn’t really the type to hide away from a battle, especially with others potentially in danger. And who knew how much that factor was increased by this being the kingdom Paul was in charge of.
Just as Doc is going for the door into the castle, he spots someone else in black armor and grabs his bow. He holds the drawn string without firing, though, as he actually recognizes the face of the person wearing the armor. “Tommy.”
“Oh fuck thank goodness.” Tommy says, relaxing a bit, though Doc still has his bow drawn and ready to fire. “Where the hell have you been?”
“Phil’s dungeon.” Doc replies, and then his natural eye is narrowing as one of the other black garbed warriors is moving closer to Tommy. “Behind you!”
Tommy whirls around, sword out and ready to attack, but he stops upon seeing the other person. “No, hey, this guy is with us. He helped us get out of the dungeon we were stuck in. Said his name is Markus.”
The name makes Doc’s eye snap wide open and he fires the bow, immediately loading and firing a second before grabbing Tommy and pulling the teen behind him. “How the hell are you here?”
“Nice to see you too Doc.” The person speaks, getting another arrow shot at him.
“Woah, woah, Doc, what’s going on?” Tommy’s asking, trying to move to Doc’s side to look the hybrid in the eye, but Doc blocks him from getting even a pixel forward.
“You lucked out with having someone so young to lie to.” Doc says to Markus, completely ignoring Tommy.
“Well now, whose fault is that?” The armored man asks, taking a step forward. “Now while I would love to stay and chat, there’s someone I really need to find.”
Doc’s next response is a hiss that makes Tommy worry the hybrid is about to explode. “As long as I’m around, you’re not getting near anyone, Notch.”

Can I order headcanons from the tcf threesome with a sweet demon? She accidentally ran away from the demon world and started crying when the boys attacked her. Have a good day! 👍
Notes: Of course you may! We still don’t know much about the demonic race to be honest so if the novel reveals important information about them later everything here might become completely irrelevant lol. But from what we got so far, demonic race seems to be generalised as a big no-no and inherently evil but what if we have a sweet demon outlier?
These headcanons are written with Fem Reader.
Ft: Cale, Choi Han, Alberu
Cale Henituse
Cale really isn’t the type of person to attack another without good reason to do so - even if they just leapt out of the demonic gate
But expect to be surrounded by open hostility and all weapons bared at you by his protective allies and friends as Cale observes with a frown by the side
Well this is a problem? You don’t exactly fit into the image painted of the demonic race - a race so indescribably and inherently ‘not-good’ that the dragon race was created just to keep them in check
that brings in a lot of problems that Cale honestly doesn’t really want to think about
the possibility that there could be a misunderstanding and that the Gods are yet again fucking with him
Whether or not he believes your story of ‘running away from the demon world’ is 50/50. Of course he’s not going to rule out that you could be a spy sent from the demonic world either
Expect to be under monitor for a long while - either with a dragon placed to watch you, or some kind of device kept on you to keep you in place
You have to prove yourself over and over again to slowly gain his trust, and even then Cale will still have his reservations about you
There will be many tests, some are obvious, others less - Cale will always analyse your responses critically: such as when providing information about the demonic race, answer too quickly and it might seem as if you’re too eager to share, answer too slow then whatever you shared might have been filtered
Anyways, Cale’s an extremely cautious man and despite what everyone thinks, he does not randomly adopt people on a whim until he has some confidence they won’t hurt his family
Cale’s a man who has a very clear idea where he draws his moral lines, if you ever cross them, it’s a big. No. He is not a man who forgives or forgets easily, and to regain his trust anew after betraying it, will be extremely hard
Throughout monitoring though, if you’ve consistently shown good behaviour, Cale does soften slightly
His wariness of you is still evident, but he’ll be more willing to share, more willing to let you participate (and once he starts letting you participate in his plans, be ready to work hard)
Eventually, though it’s never formally addressed, you’ve integrated into part of the family, the transition wasn’t even obvious and no one’s sure when it truly happened. But it just did.
Welcome to the family
Choi Han
The first one with a sword to your neck and would’ve beheaded you if it weren’t for Cale’s timely intervention
Your tears threw him off and does sucker punch his heart with guilt - Choi Han is now thoroughly confused and at a loss as to how he should deal with you
On one hand, all the dragons are bristling at your existence, everything that they’re made of is just screaming to get rid of you, but on the other hand, you look a bit too feeble to look like the big threat you’re suppose to be
He’s confused yes, but his guards are not down
Any suspicious move towards Cale will guarantee that you’ll be sent flying immediately - so if you value your life, you’ll make no sudden movements towards Cale for the time being
He volunteered to be the one who’d monitor you 24/7
And... it’s surprisingly uneventful because you genuinely have no nefarious intentions
In a way, one can say it’s easier to win his trust compared to Cale because Choi Han really leads with his heart in his palms
After a while of observation in which you have thoroughly melted away his initial wariness he becomes less of a jail keeper and more of a guardian
Still feels a bit guilty for scaring you during your very first meeting
You told him it’s alright since you knew the demonic race never had good reputation to begin with, it was to be expected
Feels even worse after hearing that
With Choi Han vouching for your person even Cale has to concede and shelve his wariness
and well, let’s be honest, with Cale on board, you can expect some kind of movement coming up to clear the horrible misunderstandings on the demonic kind
Alberu Crossman
Like Cale, his trust takes hard work and time to earn
But unlike Cale, his distrust and misgivings are hidden behind an amicable smile
Alberu Crossman is one who’d wear a friendly outgoing nature as a mask to lower other people’s guards so that it’d be easier for him to read them
An innocent naive demon like you would fall easily to his charms and glib tongue
While you receive hostility and wariness from others, Alberu will show sympathy and understanding (and send spies behind his back to investigate the truths of anything you say)
By the time you realise, you’ve already shared your whole family history, background and secrets with him and yet know nothing about the crown prince himself
Of course, as Crown Prince he does not have all the time to investigate you himself so if anyone he really trusts can vouch for your innocence, then he’ll choose to believe in their judgement
You’ll begin to learn the difference between his ‘public’ smiles and genuine smiles and you’re just glad you receive the latter nowadays
Once you earn Alberu’s trust , he’ll feel a need to protect you since he feels sympathetic and can understand the pain of being judged because of what you were born as
One of his personal goals is to end racism and he is ashamed to admit that he too had made unfair assumptions about your person due to your race
The crown prince falling to his knees shocked everyone and you hurriedly waved off his apologies and asked him to stand
The public’s opinion on the demonic race had received a blow - after all, if their beloved Sun of the Roan Kingdom had the humility to admit his wrongdoings, shouldn’t they as his citizens also learn from his actions?
It was the first step in breaking free the borders between races
(He’s a little sorry he used you in this way, but his apologies were nonetheless genuine and sincere. It’s just slightly more efficient to kill two birds with one stone correct?)
He’ll treat you like his little sister
Call him older brother and he’ll die of family feels

Tumblr media
Tumblr thought it would be hilarious to delete all my work and not let me answer requests :').
YES I SHALL WRITE THE PLATONIC ANGRY PARENTS-
And thank you-I woke up and was talking to my friend in the morning and my brain just: jojo villain yandere dads. Mudad mudad mudad mudad anger.
Anyways, here they are- Do these even count as headcanons???? I dunno-
Dio, Part 1
Vampire form of course.
First thing first, We all know he'd be a great dad. Protective already, But make him a yandere platonic father? Oh boy, Trust me, You'd be spoiled and treated like royalty.
Now, I'm gonna say in this scenario you were on of his victims child. I'll say you'll be around 5 to eight.
Somehow you managed to catch his eye, Is it because your parent was just as bad as his? You reminded him of his mother? Or maybe you resemble him, and have three moles on your ear. Or, perhaps, A younger joestar? Either way, You somehow had him feeling like a father, and, according to one of my friends, Araki had said DIO would treat his children like they were royalty, And they would be so spoiled.
So, Mudad would end up taking you in, kidnapping, whichever honestly. He'd be holding you like a loving pet owner would, if you got scared, he'd probably be confused. Honestly he'd have you turned into a vampire quickly, as he knew he wouldn't be able to have children as a Vampire.
Truthfully, I think you'd end up never noticing how he'd occasionally pull you closer, or how he'd glare at anyone your age or older going near you. Or how he'd give you some strict rules, Like no dating anyone. E v e r. And why would you ever want to hurt your papa like that?! You wouldn't want to do that, right?! Of course you wouldn't! Dio knew you'd never betray him like that!!
Truth be told, he'd guilt you if you tried to go against his words. But punishments? No no, He'd never actually purposefully hurt you, Unlike his love interest, he'd NEVER want to cause you pain ever. He'd hate himself and wouldn't forgive himself for years. Centuries. Infact, he'd beg for your forgiveness.
The Pillarmen
And satannnaaaaa
First of all, You aren't a pillarchild. You'd most likely be some kind of god, vampire, or a young hamon learner. Or even related to the Joestars or Ceasar.
So, Let's say you're immortal who can walk in the sun. We all know you'd be the joestar side, Right? So, That means you'd end up hating or feeling pity for the pillarmen. First, You'd probably end up trying to make Santana hally when he awakens. Unlike with Joseph, He'd probably know not to attempt to attack you. Let's say you have symbols like Dio Over heaven, We all know how that would work.
You'd end up as a being worshipped by them, probably kidnapped after they destroy the Joestars.
Let's say they defeated Joseph and the others, and you were still a deity, You'd most likely be weaker then them in this scenario. They'd probably treat you like a kitten at first, like a baby before they all felt a connection. As if you were a child of their own, so they'd give you rules. And we all know how rules go with yanderes.
Let's say uh- you fell for a mortal.
"No. No."
[Crush name has fallen from a high place.]
"DADS WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUU-"
"NO CUSSING IN THIS CHRISTIAN MINECRAFT SERVER!"
or something like that :')
Honestly, You'd have bird dad, and a bunch of other dads. Santana would honestly be like the cool big brother honestly. You'd probably want horns too so-
They would totally buy you halloween horns to put on your head so you'd be happy baby
Now, Hamon user? They'd probably find you like a cute animal at first, probably going easy on you like it was a game of tag. Soon, they'd realize how weak and fragile you are, After all, You are just starting hamon. They'd probably kidnap you to spite Joseph and his side at first, before... Well, You didn't expect to become a vampire and treated like royalty when all you've been treated like is uh... Considering Lisalisa is your coach, I'd say you'd be happy if it was someone else doing this for you.
Josephs sibling? WOAH Joseph, When did you get a cute sibling? Pfft, Not your sibling anymore, They just adopted your ex sibling nerd.
But, All jokes aside, They'd probably be surprised that you were more mature then your brother, and...you sorta resemble a certain Coach... Oh, Humans all look the same, haha.
They'd probably kidnap you infront of Joseph just to make him feel guilt and rage, After all, Why not get their prized treasure and make Joseph angry? They'd give you more rules, until Joseph was gone, of course.
And, sadly, Not even you crying would stop them from making you into a vampire infront of your big brother, breaking both of your hearts.
Don't worry you got ice cream later smh.
Ceasars sibling? Mini pancake? Haha, They'd kidnap you as soon as they felt parent like tendencies. No denying them, infact, they'd make sure you saw ceasar get defeated by the ro ck. But don't worry! You have new parents and a brother-! Haha, Poor you.
Part 3 DIO AKA mudad!
Honest to god you'd probably have to be a stand user with a weak or strong stand, or, you were one of his kids he had with a lucky woman who survived and got a naked polaroid of him as a 'wow you lived! Congrats, now go have my kid lmao' gift. Or, Maybe you were a normal kid who was kind to him, even if he,,,,  did some questionable murder infront of you. And maybe you were a young
Now, Let's say you were a strong stand user. He'd end up wanting to use a flesh bud until he realized... He never had a kid, that he knows of, and decided to raise you! At first he'd be upset you had a strong stand like your mudad, but realized you could protect yourself from those dreadful joestars! Congrats, You became a Brando! :) How unlucky, Considering this DIO would probably force vampire masks onto you, or even using fleshbuds as a threat. Either way, You'll always be papas baby!
Yoshikage kira.
Like I said in my first post of this, He'd want to have a nice average life. You having a stand wouldn't be a problem, Since he'd probably convince you Josuke and the others are awful and rude.
Josukes sibling? Well, He'd end up telling you he can help your brother with his murder issue if you come with him. You don't exactly have a choice since Killer queen would easily overpower you if you had disagreed. You'd end up being a normal and peaceful child before long, Infact, He'd have to pretend he had adopted you behind his 'wifes' back.
Hayotos friend he never talks about? Congrats, You are now stuck with a crazy and loving father! And a mother, I suppose. And you get your best friend as a brother! You'd never be able to leave, how sad. But, You'd have your new mom and your dad to talk to-! And killer queen cuddle time.
Now, Let's say you were his own kid. Wowzers! You think its normal for your father to bring women hands home, after all, You are pretty young and your father told you most adults do this. Ah. How enjoyable.
Doppio/Diavolo
Oh dear. You poor child.
Either you were related to trish, and he somehow felt like you wouldn't be a problem before they felt more of a father love towards you, Most likely somehow getting rif of the traitors and your big sister.
"Where's big sister?"
"Don't worry about her, She's spending time with your mother."
Smh quit LIEING you jERK!
But seriously, Doppio would be like the fun mom asking you if you'd like bake cupcakes in his spare time! Read you bed time stories and whatnot! Diavolo would be awkward and "wanna play baseball or whatever kids like to do these days?" Awkward dad alert.
"My kid is fine!"
The kid they kidnapped/raised:
Casually trying to beat another kid with a baseball.❤💚💛
Honestly they'd insult everyone elses kids while here their kid is, casually scared of baseball.
Pucci
Papa priest! We all know he'd adopt you! I head canon him as gay, considering DIO and him were totally a thing.
So, He'd probably have you study Lord DIO bibles, and casually have you hate Jolyne. Probably even give you a stand, And even show you that DIO is the best! Worship! Protect yourself and all that!
Jotaro would probably scare you,  so I can see you holding onto Pucci while Jotaro appears anytime, so pucci would infact love it when you snuggle onto him lime a cute kitten. Hell, you even Sneeze like a kitten!
Honestly You'd be kept under watch 24/7, but you'd think it was normal, after all, Your father would mever do something so awful like Those Joestars claim...right?
Diego
Oh wow- dino dad :)
Let's say you were a big fan of his, Then, Well,You wouldn't mind having him as a dad, Now would you? He is your idol, Right? Yeah. Yeah!
He'd probably carry you around upside down, Hot pants just questioning his sanity as he drops you a million times. Hot pants would probably end up carrying you most of the time.
Mama hot pants and father Diego. Y es.
And, Let's say you were traveling with Johnny. Congrats. You've put yourself in a even worse situation considering Diego would become worried and paranoid over those two idiots hurting you! And he hates the idea of his baby boy/girl/child being hurt by barbarians!!!
Even though he'd probably hurt you on accident if I'm gonna be honest.
Kidnapping isn't a very easy job, so of course he had to knock you out! What was he supposed to do?! Ask you to come stay with him forever?! No! Maybe! HuawhuKaia-
Honestly not too many rules, just don't leave his side ever! Except when going to the bathroom. You'll be tied to his horse. No whining >:(.
Funny Valentine
Honestly what did you think he was going to do? Pick some random child? No no, He'd choose the PERFECT child! You were so lucky! Wow! The daughter of the mos powerful man ever! Lucky you, Right?
No. You don't get alone time unless it's you sleeping or bathing. You wear what he wants, and no.
Dating not allowed. Bad. No no no no no.
"No. No dating. Your lips will fall off."
"but mommys lips didn't-"
"Your face will melt off."
Basically you'd be bossed around and treated like royalty, as long as you listen to you dad!
Honestly I don't know if this is headcanons, if if it isn't feel free to scream at me in the comments-
AND I AM SO SORRY ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO ACTUALLY ANSWER, SO I HOPE YOU SEE THIS AND ARE ABLE TO ENJOY IT??? I GUESS???

Prompt: Time-Travel
Prompt – Time Travel
It was another fine day in Gravity Falls. Squirrels were chasing each other, baby birds were chirping for food, and the local citizens went about their business, blissfully unaware of the rumored-weirdness that surrounded the valley.
In the town’s tourist-trap, the Mystery Shack, two young workers were sitting behind the register, looking bored. One was a short, scrawny pre-teen with shaggy, brown hair covered by a cap featuring a pine-tree. The other was a tall, lanky redheaded girl in flannel and sporting a trapper-hat. They were the best of friends (or partners-in-crime, depending on who you ask); and at that moment, they’d rather have been anywhere else.
“Ugh! Dipper! Why’s your uncle making us sit here? This place is half-dead! We’ve had, what? Sixteen customers all day, and maybe three of them wanted to buy something?” the girl said, laying across the counter.
“Yeah. Well, it’s Stan, Wendy. ‘Any potential sucker is basically a customer, and customers have money, so don’t miss an opportunity to get some!’”
“Nice one. But seriously, dude, I wish we could go on some adventure. Heck, I’ll take anything: scary or cheesy,” the girl said confidently.
“Really?” Dipper replied, looking at her. “You’d stoop to something out of our B-movie collection?”
Wendy paused, clearly giving this some thought. “Well…”
“The Crawling Deer-Demon-Duck is hiding in that condemned-house, Cassandara!” Dipper said in a low-baritone, his face pouting with mock-bravery. “What kind of brave seventeen-year-old slight bad-boy would I be if I didn’t go in there alone to try and stop it?”
Accepting his challenge, Wendy stood up. “Oh, Drewson! You can’t! It’s too dangerous!” she replied, adopting a terrible accent of a Southern-belle. She put the back-end of her hand on her forehead dramatically, while using her other to grab his sleeve. “I won’t let you go into that condemned house where the Deer-Demon-Duck is hiding!”
Dipper gently moved her hand away and faced her more directly. “But you have to let me!”
“Oh, Drewson!!!” Wendy lamented, now looking Dipper in the eyes.
“Cassandara…” Dipper did the same…
The two’s faces came closer and closer…
Meanwhile, from two different ends of the Shack, a couple of thirteen-year-olds watched with interest. One, a fit-looking, freckle-faced girl with brown hair, stared with wide-eyes; she had her hands over her mouth as she barely suppressed a squeal. It was just too cute and hilarious! The other was a bulky young-man with copper hair. He just rolled his eyes and shook his head, chuckling.
Wendy and Dipper’s faces were now inches from one another; neither breaking the act. Just as it seemed they were about make contact…
*FLASH!*
“Bwaaaahhh!!!” cried out a voice of pure-chaos.
…A white flash of light and a subsequent familiar-sounding snap caught them off-guard (and momentarily blinded the duo).
“Hey!” Dipper shouted.
“What the heck?!” Wendy replied, blinking to get her sight back.
“You guys! That was adorable!” Mabel, Dipper’s twin who sported braces, a homemade sweater, and thick, long brown cried out.
“Mabel?” said Wendy. How long have you been there?”
“Long enough to hear all that!” the energetic girl told her friend while holding a photo-camera.
“W-We were imitating a scene from one of our movies!” Dipper replied quickly, his face suddenly a deep-red.
“Tomato-Potato! A smooch-scene’s a smooch-scene! Look!” Mabel told them, holding up an instant-photo. Looking closer, it featured Dipper and Wendy, inches apart and puckered up. “And I thought your only chest-hair was scrapbook-material, Dip!”
“Mabel, you better throw that away!” Dipper told his sister, while Wendy just shook her head, a hand covering her eyes.
“Nope! Scrapbook-ortunity!” Mabel opened her scrapbook and, finding a spot that was (relatively) empty, put the photo in. “Boom! Now, I just need some glue! Be right back!”
Mabel ran into the house to look around, leaving her brother and friend alone and little embarrassed.
Dipper looked at his redheaded crush. “Sorry, Wendy. She didn’t need to do that.”
“It’s whatever, dork. I mean, we were kind of cutting it close. That’s what happens when you play chicken.”
“Yeah… I’m gonna destroy it before she gets back,” Dipper said, reaching out for the scrapbook.
“No, don’t!” Wendy replied, putting her hand on his shoulder.
“Wendy, you know she’ll show people. What’ll our friends think? I don’t want you to get embarrassed,” the younger Mystery-Twin said to the redhead.
“Thanks, but if everyone starts laughing, we can just say we’re great actors. After all, I’d pick you over the lead in that cheesy-film any day,” Wendy reassured Dipper, a gentle smile on her face.
Not knowing what to say, the blushing twelve-year-old just awkwardly chuckled.
“Hey!” shouted a gravelly-voice from inside the house. “Can somebody help me with this pimple on my back! I don’t need it bothering me on my next tour!”
Wendy turned to look at her dork, looking a little nonplussed. “…We should probably run before Stan singles us out.”
“To the roof, you think?” Dipper asked.
“Nah, I’m starved. Let’s hit Greasy’s. There’s a great lunch-special if we hurry.”
The nigh-inseparable duo quietly rushed off, leaving the gift-shop completely unattended. With that, the two customers slowly approached the counter, awkwardly looking around.
“Well, that was adorable and weird,” the girl told the boy around her age.
The large boy shrugged. “Definitely right on the latter.” He turned to face the girl. “How has your day been progressing?”
“Uh, fine I guess?” she replied, not used to hearing a greeting in such context. “How about yours?”
“Can’t complain. So… the gift-shop’s abandoned, it looks like,” the boy said, looking around.
“I guess so. Someone could steal something from here and no one would notice.”
“True. Looks like the rumors of this place sparing every expense were true,” the boy said with a chuckle. “Are you planning on stealing something?”
“No! Of course not!” the girl replied with a huff. As the boy looked away, she discreetly took a glance at the scrapbook left behind.
“Well, that’s good. Lots of punk-teens wouldn’t think twice about robbing this place blind,” he told her.
“Fair point,” The girl replied. She reached a small hand out. “I’m May, by the way.”
The other teen answered by clasping it with a meaty-looking hand of his own. “Cool. That’s my sister’s name. I’m Danny.”
For a second, the girl called May’s eyes widened, before narrowing suspiciously. Danny suddenly realized she wasn’t letting go of his hand.
“No, it isn’t,” she replied curtly. “My brother’s Danny!”
As she said that, the other teen frowned before his eyes mirrored the girl. They stared momentarily before pouncing. May attempted to pull “Danny” toward her. Danny, however, was ready. He spun and pulled the hand still clasping his behind the girl’s back. With her momentarily caught off-guard, he pushed her into one of the aisles. He quickly snatched the scrapbook from the counter before racing out the door. May, after stopping herself from hitting a wall, turned to see no scrapbook near the register. She immediately rushed outside to find the boy.
Behind the Mystery Shack, Danny was going rummaging the somewhat sticky-pages of the book he snatched, careful not let anything besides some glitter fall out from between. Finally, his eyes settled on his objective. He was just about to take it when-
“Hey, you!” Danny turned towards an angry-looking May, her fist punching her other palm. “That’s stealing! I don’t know who you are, but I’m not letting you have that!” she shouted.
“Please!” he replied. “As if you weren’t planning on it. I’m smarter than I look, you know!” he accused the girl, who gritted her teeth at his comeback. “And for your information, I’m me! And you’re not you!”
With that, the two of them raced towards each other. This time, however, May slid between the large boy’s legs and got behind him. Before he could react, she grabbed him underneath his shoulders. With him successfully in a headlock, May reached for the book in the redheaded boy’s hand. Realizing what she was trying to do, Danny swung back-and-forth, trying to make May let go of him.
Caught off-guard, the strong girl actually lost her grip on one of his arms for a minute, though she quickly regained it by getting her arm around his neck. However, this wasn’t enough. He reached behind, and this time, he got ahold of May’s shirt, enabling him to throw her off, despite her attempts to hold onto his head. (She even grabbed and stretched his mouth in the process).
She landed with a thud but was quick to get back on her feet. And May was immediately shocked by the sight before her. Next to this guy’s feet was the scrapbook of Mabel, apparently dropped when she made him throw her off. But on the other side of “Danny” laid what looked like a rubber-mask of his face. The head on his body now sported something else: a head that she could only describe as resembling an oversized pistachio, but with red-eyes and sharp teeth.
The creature posing as a human, realizing he was exposed, quickly grabbed his mask and slipped it back on with a growl. Now indiscernible from a human, he wagged what May assumed was a false finger, clearly ticked by that. He charged at her, only for her to roll out of the way. She tried a roundhouse-kick, only for the disguised teen to catch her foot. When May tried to break out, she lost her balance, enabling Danny to catch her from behind the same way she had him.
However, May was ready this time. As this guy grabbed her underneath her shoulders, May somersaulted backwards and caught Danny’s neck with her shoes. With all of her might, she used her legs to throw Danny forward, headfirst! He landed with a loud thud, giving May time to grab the book and escape.
Danny, checking to make sure his mask was straight, raced to catch up to May. He went around the side and rushing in the general direction she ran, saw her carefully moving around a large hole not too far from the Mystery Shack. Taking off a hand-shaped glove, he launched a vine-like appendage and grabbed May’s leg, tripping her and pulling her back. At the same time, she dropped the book near the edge of the long drop. Danny rushed forward and picked it up.
Of course, by this time, May was back on her feet. She charged with all he had and slammed her shoulder into the creature’s costumed-midsection, making him drop the book again. “OW!” They both shouted after May made contact.
Danny rubbed the spot where he got rammed with one hand and pushed her back with his other. He then looked at the pained girl strangely. “That was… You tackle just like May does; only weaker. Who are-? Hey, you okay?”
“Do I look okay?” May was clutching her shoulder, and as the boy could see more plainly, it didn’t look quite right.
“You’re hurt.” Before Danny could say more, the edge of the hole he was standing by gave way. He fell and, because he was still holding onto May, ended up pulling her in, too.
They both fell, screaming all the way down, only realize that they didn’t seem to be getting there anytime soon.
“Wait… I know what this is! We’re in the Bottomless Pit!” May said in realization.
“Oh, yeah! Haven’t seen the inside of this I was five…” Danny thought out loud.
“So you say!” May snapped. “Stop pretending already and tell me what the heck you are! Running into you is like crashing into a tree-trunk! What the heck?!”
Danny paused. “Okay, seeing as you look like you’re hurting, and I’m not, I’m going to call a truce. I’m willing to talk if you are, but I’d rather check your arm first. Is that cool with you?”
“Fine,” May grumbled, seeing no options at the moment. She was at a disadvantage, and if this monster could reach her, she’d be in trouble.
“Alright. Now, stay calm and try not to freak out.” Danny took a hand-shaped glove off and from where it was, slowly extended a vine in May’s direction. It gently went around the teenager’s midriff and pulled her towards him. It was plain to see she was suspicious. “Let me see…” Using his other hand, he poked May’s shoulder.
“Augh!” she grunted.
“Yeah… Looks like you dislocated your shoulder,” Danny assessed with a shudder. “You meatbags and your weird bodies.”
“MEATBAGS?! Look who’s talking!”
“Hey, it is basically what you are. You’re like, mostly water, aren’t you?”
“Well, yeah…” May admitted awkwardly. “But that’s still rude.”
“Right. Sorry,” he apologized sheepishly. “Look, we can’t do anything until we come back up, so we might well as chat and find what the heck is going on here; maybe why you want that scrapbook so much.”
“You took it first,” May replied. “What about you? Also, would you mind letting go of me?”
“Can do.” Danny retracted his vine, allowing May to freefall on her own, then slipped his glove back on over his branch-like hand.
“Okay, so… who the heck are you? I’ve lived in Gravity Falls all of my life; I know that names being alike isn’t some coincidence.” May said.
“Agreed. I’m Danny Pines,” said the strange-teen. “And I’m assuming you’re May Pines.”
“Yeah. May Pines: daughter of Mason and Wendy Pines,” May stated proudly.
“Those are my parents’ names,” Danny replied, an eyebrow raised.
“Weird. My brother’s human, and he doesn’t look much like whatever that costume is you’re wearing. Are you being honest that you’re who you say you are?”
“Yes, I am,” Danny replied, starting to sound annoyed. “Look, I’m a plant-person, okay? So is most of the family, along with the half-the-town where I’m from. We wear disguises to blend in with humans… And what’s wrong with the way I look?”
“Well, for starters, my Danny’s not built like you. He’s muscular, but like the lean-kind. And he’s tall. You kind of have a build like my uncles on Mom’s side of the family. Plus, your face kind of looks like Aunt Mabel’s. He’s got more of one that looks kind of like Grandpa Dan,” May said thoughtfully.
“Huh. Go figure. I never actually wondered if my disguise was accurate… As for my height, I can safely tell you I’m taller than I look. I basically slouch in this costume,” Danny told her. “And my May’s costume doesn’t have you so good, either.”
“Really? Why?” May asked.
“Well, her mask has red-hair and no freckles. And your nose definitely isn’t Mom’s.”
“Oh. I always wondered how I’d look with red hair…” May thought out loud. “Uh, so… why the heck were you trying to take that book?”
“Why do you need it?”
May sighed in resignation. “Look, I’m looking for an anniversary-present for Mom and Dad. I remember Aunt Mabel told me about some cute picture in her scrapbook that went missing. It was that little scene with Mom and Dad from a little earlier. Apparently, it disappeared. It’d be a good gift, and I thought maybe it was me taking it after Blendin Blandin loaned me his Time-Tape that caused it disappear. Now, I’m wondering if it vanishes because you steal it.”
“What a coincidence. I was planning on getting that as an anniversary present for them, too. Well, my version of Mom and Dad.”
“Yeah… How’s that work again? I’m already assuming this is probably one of those Other-Dimension/Universe deals. Or maybe even another timeline,” asked May
“Really? How would that last one work? New timelines always replace old ones, right?” Danny replied.
“I don’t know. I don’t do this for a liv-Oh! We’re coming back up!”
About a minute later, the two thirteen-year-olds found themselves back outside the Bottomless Pit, not a minute gone by since they fell in. Immediately, they stepped away, quick to attend to more important matters. Well, besides the picture in Mabel’s scrapbook, anyway. (Danny quickly picked that up).
“Alright,” Danny said after making sure no one was around. “I’m not an expert, but I’ve been taught the basics of human-skeletons. We’ve gotta fix that arm.”
“Right. Uh, one sec.” May used her good arm to pull a coin-purse out of her pocket. From there, she pulled out a piece of wood with some bite-marks and stuck it in her mouth. “Do your worst.”
Danny put one hand on her forearm; the other on her shoulder. “This is gonna hurt. I’m going to count to five. Got it?” May nodded, and Danny counted. “One… Two… Five.”
A shrill, girly scream echoed through the valley. A scream rivaled only by those who were unfortunate enough to stick an appendage into the infamous “Pain Hole”.
“You okay?” Danny asked, concerned.
“Yeah,” May grunted, rolling her shoulder a couple of times. “This actually happens more often than you think. I’ll be fine in a couple of days.
“Well, I guess that’s one thing you humans have over us,” the boy said, shaking his head. “Your broken limbs don’t have to stay broken. We need to regrow ours. It’s pretty rough.”
“I guess… So, is your time like that lizard-people timeline or something? Dad and Aunt Mabel said something like that happened or was talked about when they were hunting for treasure one time.”
“I don’t remember either of them talking about that,” Danny said, shrugging. “All I know is that my version of Mom and Dad were turned into plants outside of Gravity Falls, and that there was time-travel involved. Come to think of it, I wonder if maybe Time-Wishes have something to do with this.”
May raised an eyebrow. “I don’t follow.”
“They’re paradox-free, but what if they don’t line up with the future. And they can’t be part of a time-loop, either. That’s another paradox. But splitting timelines might make for a good technicality, especially if they lead to the same futures or something.”
“…You read a lot of science-fiction, don’t you?” May deadpanned.
Danny shrugged. “When I’m camping. Yeah.”
“So… you think maybe we come from different branches and that this is a shared-moment in the past?”
“In a nutshell. No pun intended.”
May shrugged. “Anything’s possible. So, how are things in your timeline? Is the Shack still standing?”
“Yeah. Uncle Soos is doing a great job with it.”
“Nice! Does Arctica exist in in that time? Do you like-like her?” May asked in a sly voice.
“N-No! I mean, uh, yes… and no!” Danny replied quickly.
“Oh my gosh! I knew it!” May said, almost squealing. “Everyone knows! Me, our parents, our friends! Aunt Pacifica sure approves! So does-!”
“Wait! Pacifica… She’s alive in your time?” Danny asked, looking a bit shocked.
“Yeah. Is she not…? Oh, man! What happened?” May replied, looking very concerned.
“She just got sick. Last year, I think. That kind of thing’s one drawback to being human, I guess. Still, everyone was there, so I think she was comfortable, at least,” Danny told his sister from what might be an alternate-timeline.
“Shoot…” May thought out loud.
“Sorry to bring the mood down. So, does Chaz still try to keep his distance from you and your cooties?”
“As if! He’s just intimidated by my tackle!”
“Sure… No doubt that’s why he and Drake Jr. tried to discover a vaccine for them,” Danny said with a chuckle. “Dad thinks they might be onto rediscovering the Philosopher’s Stone instead.”
“So, Aunt Mabel married Uncle Drake in your timeline, too?”
“Yep.”
“Great… Two versions of our uncle to pass on his terrible driving skills two different versions of our cousin,” May said in exasperation.
“Don’t forget our siblings…” Danny added.
“Siblings? What siblings?” May asked.
“…You’re kidding, right?”
“No. Seriously, we have them? What are they like?” May said with interest. “Younger? Older?”
“All of the above. Dang. I wish I had my special phone-glove so I could show you pics. Too bad I didn’t want to accidentally leave it.”
“Shoot! Lucky!”
Danny laughed. “Keep telling yourself that.”
May smiled, then looked at her aunt’s scrapbook. “That photo’s still in there.”
Danny rummaged through it and found the page with said photo. The siblings from different timelines both stared, admiring the young versions of their parents doing that corny, mock-romance scene.
“What do you wanna do?” Danny asked her.
“I don’t know… I want it, but you’ve got as much right to snatch it as I do,” May replied. “I wish we both could take it with us.”
“You know, maybe we can,” Danny said after a minute.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Doesn’t the Shack have a magic photocopy-machine in this time?”
“…And Mom and Dad are gone, so we might be able to pull this off!”
//
Meanwhile, Mabel was in her and Dipper’s room in the attic, which had basically been torn apart in a futile-search.
“Come on, Mabel!” The sweater-loving preteen said to herself. “Where’d you put that extra glue?”
//
The Mystery Twins of different timelines slipped through the currently-unguarded gift-shop of the Mystery Shack with ease, only to run into an elderly, bespectacled man in a fez, faded-white tee-shirt, and boxers in the living room, who was sitting on the couch, watching tv. The man turned to face them.
“Hey!” he said gruffly. “No exploring the house unless I’m leading a tour! Back to the gift-shop with you.”
Danny approached him, a hand behind his back. “No. Back to sleep with you.” Danny brought his concealed hand out from behind him, a large flower blooming from his wooden hand. He blew what looked like pollen into the old man’s face. The man was out in an instant, drooling all over himself.
May took the tv remote and flipped through a couple of channels. When she was satisfied, she abandoned the remote and joined Danny, though not before laying a soft kiss on the scary-looking man’s temple.
“Love you, Great-Grunkle Stan,” May whispered. She turned back to rubber-suited variation of her brother. “Let’s go.”
The two kids wandered down the hall towards the back, where they found a beaten, worn-out copy machine with words like “Danger” and other warnings on and around it.
“So… if I remember correctly, Dad said this’ll clone whatever you put into it,” May said. “It’s how Great Grunkle Stan made copies of the Journals that triangle-dude ruined.”
“Right,” Danny replied. “Seems straightforward. I think I’ll make two. This way, we don’t have to steal anything.”
“Sounds good. Let’s just remember not to get either wet.” May stepped out to check the living room.
//
Meanwhile, a heavy-set young man in a cap and a shirt with a big question-mark stepped into the living-room. “Hey, Mr. Pines. I just finished fixing-Oh, cool! You’ve got anime on!”
Soos Ramirez sat down on the couch, his gaze focused entirely on the tv-screen. He didn’t notice the teenage-girl peering around the corner, nor the bright and completely-noticeable flash from down the hall. He also didn’t notice two teens step back into the gift-shop, the boy holding three identical-copies of what looked like Mabel’s scrapbook.
//
In the Mystery Shack’s gift shop, May sat the scrapbook back down on the counter where she and Danny found it.
“Alright! Are we good to go?” May asked Danny.
“I think so. I made whole scrapbooks that we can maybe use for Aunt Mabel sometime. I bet she’d like to see her old pet-project again,” Danny replied.
“Great idea. You know, if it’s not us that steal the photo, I wonder what happens to this one.”
“Beats me. But no time to find out. Someone’s bound to come back any time now.” Danny said, handing one of the copies to May.
“You’re right… Hey, I’m sorry I kind of jumped you when we ran into each other. I thought maybe I violated some time-bureau thing and you were an agent or something,” May replied with sincerity as the two of them walked out of the entrance.
“That’s alright. No harm done. I’m sorry you hurt yourself trying to hurt me,” Danny replied to the girl.
“It’s fine,” May told her… sibling. “You know, it would be cool if we could hang, but with whatever this is, I don’t see how that’s possible any time soon.”
“You’re right,” Danny agreed, almost regretfully. “I don’t know how time-travel works, and I don’t Blendin’s inclined to tell someone who got the drop on him.”
“Huh?!”
“Nothing!”
The two stared at each other, not knowing what else to say. Finally, May broke the ice: “Awkward sibling-hug?”
The Mystery Twins embraced, awkwardly patting each other’s backs before separating.
“So, before we go our separate ways, can I ask you a weird question?” Danny asked sheepishly.
“Sure. What is it?” May responded.
“What’s like having a nose? A real one, I mean…”
//
Meanwhile, Mabel Pines had just come back downstairs. “I can’t believe I forgot I have one in my sweater’s inner pocket. What a silly-Mabel I am!” she said to herself, chuckling.
She stood by her scrapbook on the counter and tried to work the cap to the new glue-bottle off.
At the same time, a customer, who had come into the empty gift-shop just before the girl came down, went to approach Mabel and ask about getting rung up. Unfortunately, there was a snowglobe left on the floor by some child earlier that day. The man suddenly tripped on it and fell forward, only to stop himself by catching a fan. Said fan immediately started blowing on high, blasting Mabel’s hair all over her face and blowing a certain photograph into the yard, where an odd-looking goat caught in his mouth and ate it.
That was a dark day for Mabel Pines… who immediately planned to try to convince Dipper and Wendy to reenact that scene again.
//
The Pines twins from alternate futures faced each other, holding out their respective Time-Tapes (with the tape pulled out appropriately) and holding tightly onto their respective scrapbooks. The two got one last look at each other.
“Bye, Danny,” May said to her secret monster of a brother. “I love you, and I hope Mom and Dad like your gift.”
“Likewise, May,” Danny said, looking a bit sad. I wish you could see the others… I’d have liked to see their reactions meeting you.”
May gave him a soft smile. “Hey, I got to meet you, at least.” Danny smiled in response.
The Mystery Twins let the tape on their devices retract. There was a flash of light, and it was like they had never been there.

Movie Night
A flashback kinda thing, I guess, showing Connie back before she met Death (when she still went by Chimera)
Contains some of Glo's shenanigans, some of her friendship with Cobalt, and even some of her friendship with her demon buddy, too :P
I know it leaves off at kind of a weird spot, but eh. I wasn't sure what else to add ^^"
Chimera let out a soft whine, and her companion snorted, arching a brow bone, "See? I told you that you wouldn't like this movie." The female skeleton made a face, lightly swatting at his arm, "Oh whatever, Cobalt! I don't remember you ever saying anything of the sort!" Cobalt sighed softly, absentmindedly wrapping his arm around Chimera and tugging her flush against his side. As a masked killer emerged from a building on the tv screen and began to pursue a group of young monsters, she turned, cuddling as close to her friend as possible and burying her face in part of his shoulder.
He sighed, content to have her in his arms as they sat on her living room sofa. Appearing in the entrance to her kitchen, an all too familiar pink and blue fire elemental held up a bag of unpopped popcorn, "Hey love birds, I'm making popcorn. You want any?" Both skeletons immediately froze, Chimera's face flushing bright orange while Cobalt's became a faint shade of blue. Chimera made a face at the fire elemental in question and groaned, "Come on, Glo! I thought you said you wouldn't tease us like that anymore!" Glo hummed, "No idea what you're talking about. Now do you want any popcorn, or am I only making it for myself?" The female skeleton rolled her eye lights, "I think I'm good for now. What about you?" She looked to Cobalt and he shrugged, "Sure, why not? I'll take a bag, I guess."
Glo playfully scoffed, her attention focused on Chimera as she gestured to him, "I'm tellin' ya, he knows what's up." Cobalt couldn't help the amused grin that found it's way onto his face and Chimera waved off her adopted sister's words, trying to hide her own tiny smile, "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Glo." The fire elemental held the flat, unpopped bag of popcorn in both hands, and as her body temperature began to rise, the bag began to unfold on its own, the kernels inside loudly popping. Once the bag was done, she called out, "Incoming!" Chimera looked up in time to see Glo toss the bag in her direction, and her sockets widened. She let out a soft gasp as Cobalt moved without warning, raising a hand to catch the bag with seemingly no effort. Quickly trying to regain her composure, she prepared to scold Glo, only to find that Glo had already vanished back into the kitchen, likely to get another bag of popcorn from the cupboard.
When Glo returned and made herself comfortable on the floor, everything went silent as the three went back to watching their movie. As the end credits began rolling, Glo scooted away, and the pair of skeletons watched curiously as she wedged herself inside the unlit fireplace. Her body temperature began to rise again, warming the room ever so slightly and casting a pink and blue glow across the space. Chimera raised a brow bone, visibly confused, "Uhh Glo, what are you doing in there?" Glo took her phone out of her pocket and pushed a button, sliding it a bit away from herself and grinning mischievously as 'Careless Whisper' began to play through their Bluetooth radio, "I'm about to see this ship set sail. Now ignore me. I'm your warm, cozy evening fire and nothing more."
Chimera's orange blush slowly spread down to her shoulders, and she attempted to hide her face again, very clearly embarrassed as she murmured, "Oh my God, I cannot believe you right now..." Cobalt's blush gradually began to darken as well and he sighed, lifting his free arm and awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck, unsure of how he should respond. An unexpected guest cleared his throat and Chimera squeaked in surprise, jerking her entire body back away from Cobalt. Her guest arched a single brow, the rest of his expression appearing bored, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." The female skeleton stared up at him with wide eyes, her face still burning a vibrant orange as she shook her head, "N-No, of course not! I-I um... What are you doing here, Dr. Wright?" The demon sighed softly, "Please. It's 'Soren', remember? We're past the point of needing formalities." Cobalt offered him a polite smile, "Hey there, Soren. What's up, dude?" The demon's attention snapped to him and he hummed in disapproval, "I said it was 'Soren' to her, not to you." Cobalt held up his hands in surrender, "Sorry, sorry. I guess I forgot about that."
In what felt like the blink of an eye, Glo slipped out of the fireplace and lowered her body temperature as she zipped across the room. Reaching out to delicately touch the demon's arm, she smiled sweetly up at him and purred, "Well hello there, Doctor~ I was starting to wonder when you'd come see me again." He deadpanned, his vibrant, almost neon green gaze boring into her, "It's 'Soren' to Chimera, and 'Dr. Wright' to that other bonehead. To you, however, it's 'Diamondback.' Please refrain from calling me anything else. If you do, I may have to hurt you for it. Do you understand?" Glo was frozen for a moment, nodding slowly, "...Yeah. I read you loud and clear." Diamondback sighed, "Good. Now will you please remove your hand from my arm? I don't care much for physical contact." The fire elemental nodded again, promptly releasing his arm and taking a step back, watching quietly as he looked over his sleeve, as if inspecting the area she'd touched.
Chimera also watched him, her breath momentarily catching in her false throat as his gaze locked with hers. Clearing his throat again, he lifted a hand, conjuring a small stack of books, "I thought I'd stop by to drop these off, since I remember how interested you were in them last time you were over." She smiled politely, standing and making her way over to him. Carefully accepting the books with one hand, her other gently patted his arm and she hummed, "Thank you, Soren. I appreciate that very much, and I'll be sure to get them back to you as soon as I'm finished reading them." The demon nodded, "Of course. Despite my numerous attempts to push you away, you kept coming back, and as fate would have it you're my friend now, so it's only fair that I allow you access to my personal library." Her smile widened slightly as she stepped aside, gingerly placing the books on a small stand, "That's very kind of you. I'm really happy that we're on such good terms like this."
Diamondback offered her a slight smile, his fangs peeking out of his mouth, "As am I." As Cobalt caught sight of the fangs, he shrunk back the smallest bit, absentmindedly lifting a hand to prod at one of his own, much smaller fangs. Glo's flames very briefly flickered in interest as she caught sight of the demon's fangs, and she let out a soft breath; For all she knew, Diamondback could be venomous, but she was dying to know what it'd be like to experience a bite from him. As if her interest was beginning to show on her face, the demon shifted his attention to her, his small smile falling into a frown, "Whatever disgusting thoughts you're having had better be gone soon. I don't like that you're ogling me, young lady."
Glo's face became flushed with a faint blush and she smiled awkwardly, "Sorry... Can't help it, I guess." She paused, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, "Not when you're this good looking. If you weren't so attractive, maybe I wouldn't ogle you as much." As if a switch had been flipped, the demon warped through the space between them, his hand firmly catching her jaw as he leaned down, his eyes narrowed as he hissed, "I would've let it slide this time, if you hadn't added on that additional little comment." Glo's soul began to beat faster in her chest and she stared at him with wide eyes, frozen in place. Not giving her the chance to say anything more, he bared his fangs, letting them both be fully exposed as a liquid - more than likely venom, Glo assumed - began to gather at the tips and a faint rattling sound could be heard from somewhere nearby. A single drop of his venom dripped down onto the carpet, and the demon drew in a deep breath, attempting to calm himself, "For the last time, you're not my type, and you never will be. I'm in the process of courting someone else, and I would like it very much if you could stop flirting with me."
The fire elemental continued to stare at him with wide eyes, still visibly in shock. Taking her silence as agreement, he released his hold on her jaw and the rattling sound around them began to fade away. Closing his mouth and allowing his lips to conceal his fangs again, he sighed softly, glancing up at Chimera as she cautiously approached him, keeping her voice low, "I'm sorry for all of her flirting, but I do appreciate that you're able to control your temper. Thank you for not lashing out, Soren." Diamondback's shoulders seemed to sag a bit and he hummed, mumbling back, "Of course... I might be a demon, but that doesn't mean I'm some irredeemable creature that enjoys causing harm." As if she could read his body language, she frowned, "And I've never thought that of you. Not even once. You have your good days and bad days, just like everyone else."
Diamondback offered her a small, vaguely saddened smile, "I appreciate that, Chimera. I think I should head on home now and call it a night, though... It's getting late, and I have work tomorrow." The female skeleton nodded in understanding, "That's alright. I hope you rest well tonight, Soren. I'll be over again tomorrow to drop off your mail and some goodies, since you seem like you could really use a few right now." Diamondback made a sound in acknowledgment, "Ok, that sounds like a plan, I suppose. Thank you in advance for the goodies, in case I'm not there when you stop by." Chimera offered him a small but genuine smile, gently patting his shoulder before taking a step back. Shifting his attention back to Glo, he sighed, "Apologies for the outburst. I hope I didn't traumatize you or anything." Glo nodded, her voice cracking, "I-It's ok. It's on me, for always hitting on you." The demon offered her a tiny smile, glad to hear that she was finally taking responsibility for something. In the blink of an eye, he seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving the pair of skeletons and the fire elemental alone.
Chimera let out a soft sigh, returning to her seat on the couch. Casting a glance up at the clock that hung on the nearby wall, Cobalt frowned; Like Diamondback had said, it had gotten later than he'd realized. Because it was getting so late, that meant he'd have to head home for the night. He wasn't working tomorrow, so he could always ask if Chimera wanted to hang out again in the morning. He stole a glance at her, quietly appreciating her perfectly smooth ivory bones, the way her nimble fingers moved as she idly picked at her clothes, and the soft, peaceful smile she wore. As if she sensed him looking at her, Chimera met his gaze and tilted her head curiously, her cheekbones gaining the faintest hint of a blush, "Something on your mind, Cobalt?"
Snapping out of his thoughts, he cleared his throat and shook his head, his brow bones furrowing as he shook his head and offered her a small smile, "Nah, it's nothing, 'Mera. Just spacing out again, I guess." The female skeleton made a sound in understanding, "Ah, I see. You know, I think that's something that happens more often when you get tired. Have you been sleeping alright?" Cobalt shrugged his shoulders, glancing away from her and hoping she wouldn't notice the slight bags under his sockets, "Eh... My sleep schedule hasn't been the best, but at least it's better than nothing." Chimera frowned, reaching out to gently touch his arm, "Coby, you should've said something. If you'd like some medicine to help you sleep at night, I have more than enough in my cupboard."
At the nickname, his cheekbones flushed a soft shade of blue, and he grinned sheepishly, "I know, I know... Sorry about that. Are you sure you'd wanna give me any of that medicine though?... What if you run out sometime soon and don't have anymore when you need it?" Chimera arched a brow bone, "I can always make another trip to the store, you goof. It wouldn't be a problem, I promise. Just... You seem like you could use some, and I'd be happy to share." Cobalt let out a soft sigh in defeat, still smiling sheepishly, "Ok... If you're sure about that, then I guess it'd be alright. I just don't wanna inconvenience you at all, y'know?" She scooted closer to him, and without warning, lifted both hands, delicately cupping his face and prompting him to look at her. Locking gazes, his breath momentarily hitched, and his soft blush because a bit brighter. Making sure to hold his gaze, she offered him a reassuring smile, "Cobalt, it's ok. I don't mind giving you some medicine, if it means helping you sleep better at night."
She paused, lightly tapping on his cheekbone with her thumb, "I really like being able to help you, you know. It makes me happy." Cobalt was frozen, his blush very gradually becoming even brighter. His gaze drifted downward, briefly settling on her teeth. For a moment, he couldn't help but notice how smooth they looked, and then when he coaxed himself to make eye contact with her again, his sockets widened the smallest bit; Those beautiful eyes... They were focused solely on him. The soft glow from her eye lights cast a faint glow, and the warmth in her gaze made him melt. He snuck another quick glance at her teeth, and then he watched quietly as she seemed to mirror what he'd just done, her eye lights flickering downward to his own teeth.
She seemed to debate something for a moment, before she leaned closer, gently pressing her forehead to his. Cobalt stared at her, breathing in her scent and noting what seemed to be a hint of oranges in the smell as he looked at her. He opened his mouth to speak, wanting to somehow acknowledge how beautiful Chimera was, but to his frustration, no sound would come out. Keeping her voice soft, the female skeleton murmured, "I'm gonna go get that medicine for you... I think I'm gonna send you off with some of the leftovers from dinner, too. Is that ok?" Cobalt nodded, making a sound in confirmation as he murmured back, "Yeah, of course. I love your cooking, so it's not like I'd have any complaints with that."
A soft orange blush dusted across her face and she smiled, almost looking shy, "Ok... I'm really happy you like it that much." Cobalt could only smile back at her, his soul thudding inside his chest. As she withdrew her hands and backed up a bit, he let out a deep sigh, trying to push back to disappointment he felt; She was so close, and he could've sworn he felt something there. If he had acted on it the way he'd wanted to, then maybe, just maybe, he could've-
Chimera stood, vanishing from the room and leaving him alone with Glo, who was quietly staring at him with raised brows and the hint of a smug grin that was hidden within her flames. Looking at the fire elemental, he arched a brow bone, "What?" She hummed, still grinning, "Oh, I think you know 'what,' mister man." Cobalt willed his blush to fade and he deadpanned, "Nope. I have no idea what you're talking about." Glo let out an exaggerated sigh, moving closer to him, "Oh come on, yes, you do. It was all of that, just now. Her touching your face, the foreheads touching, all of that prolonged eye contact, and the way you guys kept looking at each other's teeth. You wanted to kiss her, didn't you?" Cobalt's blush reignited, now so bright that it began to glow faintly, "Shut up, airhead. What if she hears you saying stuff like that?" Completely unbothered by what she'd been called, Glo tilted her head, "I'm gonna take that as a 'yes.' If I'm right, then why didn't you?"
Cobalt fell silent, his gaze shifting away from his companion. He watched to entrance to the kitchen for a few seconds before mumbling, "...I dunno if she even likes me, like that... And I wouldn't wanna feel like I was forcing anything on her. If that's what it felt like from her perspective, that means I might as well say goodbye to my friendship with her." The fire elemental stared at him for a moment before reaching out and flicking his face. He jerked back away from the contact in surprise, "What was that for, weirdo?" Glo raised a single brow and sighed again, "You're such a dweeb, y'know that? If you're not sure how she feels about you, then ask. If she doesn't give you the response you want, you can either pass off the question as nothing more than curiosity, or you can make your big confession. If you take a risk and tell her how you feel, then who knows... Maybe she'll end up feeling the same."

How I Picture a Batfam Age Reversal
I’m going to write this as a fic (And I want to go on into a young justice world where dick forms the team and his siblings are protective) but here is the outline in bullet points in case anyone is interested. Please note this is VERY first draft.
Ages (At end) & Order:
Damian- 24
Duke- 21
Stephanie- 20
Tim- 21
Cassandra- 19
Jason- 19
Barbara- 15
Dick- 13
Damian is Ten when he is sent to live w/ his father. Bruce is 30.
They don’t really work well together at first. But Selina, Alfred, and Clark somehow get it through Bruce’s thick skull that he has to care for this child.
Damian keeps sneaking out on patrol, against B’s wishes. Eventually, he let’s Damian join and tells him to choose a name (Not what we meant, Bruce!)
Damian wants to go for something like Shadow, or Demon, but Bruce puts his foot down. He says that Damian shouldn’t try to be darkness.
Damian is pouting in the gardens when he finds a wounded robin. It’s wing is broken. He demands that the animal should be taken to a shelter, and carries it in his hand the whole way there.
The bird makes it, and Damian demands to be called Robin. He designs his suit, going slightly more colorful. “I might be called Robin, but I am NOT wearing brown, Pennyworth.”
Bruce introduces him to Superboy (Jon, note: less age dif) and the pair are close friends.
He is Robin for a little over seven years before he begins to fight with Bruce about being allowed to patrol alone, and being his own hero. (basically what happened w/ Dick).
Damian leaves Gotham, opting to claim Bludhaven. Jon joins him. He suggests they call each other Nightwing and Flamebird. Damian thinks it’s a bit childish, but he can’t say no to Jon. They’re costumes are here. (done by @hyperactive-lectiophile! Fantastic job!)
They eventually realize they’re in love w/ each other, all while trying to figure their lives  out. Damian briefly tries to join the police. He hates it. Eventually, he enrolls in BH college for a major in Art and a minor in business.
Later in Gotham, the We Are Robin/Robin War stuff happens. Long story short, Duke is adopted.
Damian is angry to find out he has a new brother, goes to Gotham to yell at Bruce, but then meets Duke. They bond, and are close siblings. Damian makes his father promise to not adopt any more strays.
Stephanie Brown wants to stop her Father, so she sews up a costume and goes out as Batgirl. Bruce is apprehensive at first, but his family basically yells at him to train the poor girl before she gets hurt.
He does, and after Steph meets Damian, who she absolutely adores (He loves her too. The way she pisses his father off is legendary), Stephanie decides she wants to be Robin. Batgirl was good for dealing with her father, but she wants to belong to this new family, and, w/ Damian’s blessing, she makes a new costume.
Unfortunately, after a while, Stephanie is killed by Black Mask (her death is faked, like in the comics, but the Fam doesn’t know)
Enter Tim Drake. Batman has been going crazy over grief, and not even Nightwing, Catwoman (this is SOOOO batcat, btw) or The Signal can calm him down. Tim steps right up, and demands to be robin.
Damian and Bruce fight over this. Surprisingly, Damian is the one who thinks Tim should be given a chance. He sees how his father has been acting. Damian knows that Tim must be brilliant to figure out their identities, and thinks that should count for something. Duke takes his side, knowing that it takes guts to talk to batman, and be willing to join him. Bruce, meanwhile, is a constant chant of “no more dead robins”. After a while, and lots of arguing, Tim takes his place as Robin. They redesign the suit, and he takes his place as robin.
It’s little while after this that Stephanie comes back. Tim offers Robin back, but Stephanie declines. They talk and grow closer. At one point they talk about Stephanie’s new moniker. She says she doesn’t want to be Batgirl either. She wants something new. Tim suggests Spoiler (Bad pun turned brilliant idea?).
Cassandra Cain arrives on the scene next. She saves the commissioner’s life (like No Man’s Land, minus No Man’s Land), and Stephanie immediately imprints on this tiny assassin child (So do the rest of the family, but Steph claims the fourteen-year old first. She and Bruce fight over custody.). She offers Cass Batgirl. Gotham gained a new vigilante, and Bruce Wayne adopted a new child. (Faster than the comics, I KNOW. But Cass deserves happiness)
Everyone loves their new sister, and everyone spoils her. Duke is the one to take her to a ballet the first time. She immediately begs to be put into lessons.
Somewhere in here Tim’s mom dies and his dad is in a coma. Bruce takes him in.
Eventually, Bruce decides to offer Tim Red Robin, hoping to avoid the strife he had with Damian. (Like in the comics, Bruce was going to give Jason Red Robin)
Tim is unsure of this, and puts off deciding. Then little Jason Peter Todd decides to jack the tires of the batmobile and is immediately taken in.
Everyone is captivated by the tiniest addition to their family, but it's also at this time that Jack Drake finds out about Robin and forces Tim to quit. Tim gives Jason his blessing to become Robin.
Everyone pitches in on helping train the newest Robin. Damian teaches the kid things he learned from the league (non-lethal things, since Damian loves this kid), Duke teaches him escrima fighting, Stephanie (Much to Bruce’s dismay) has a full seminar of the delicacies of glitter bomb making. Tim teaches the kid hacking, when he can get away from his dad.
Unfortunately, when Jason has been Robin for almost a year, he is killed by the Joker.
The family is torn apart by greif. But this time around, Bruce has a much larger support system. All of them lean on each other.
The only time that Damian ever broke his no-kill rule while living with his father was to kill the Joker. He hunted and murdered the clown, sparing Harley. He had been friends with Quinzel since he was Robin, and knew how the Joker treated her. Harley became the batfam’s honorary aunt after this.
Bruce was too emotionally tired to fight with Damian over his actions, so no one said anything. Eventually, Bruce and Damian did argue. Damian refused to apologize,, though he did promise his father to never kill again. Their relationship was strained for a while, but they worked through it.
Less than a year later, Jack Drake dies, and Tim comes back onto the vigilante scene. He refuses to become Robin, however, choosing to take Bruce up on his offer and become Red Robin. He designs his own suit, and the world seems to slowly become normal. Or some semblance of it.
One night, the circus is in town and the whole family (except Alfred) is home. Duke, Tim, and Steph drag Bruce, Cass, and Damian to go see it.
It is on this night that Dick Grayson’s parents fall to their death. Dick is sent to live in juvi, meanwhile Bruce tries to adopt Dick. He succeeds, and the manor once again has a bright young child running through it’s halls.
Dick figures out the secret identities of his family and instantly demands to be allowed out. He wants to take down Zucko, and won’t settle for every single member hunting for him. Dick wants to take down his parent’s murdered himself. He tries to sneak out multiple times, but is always stopped.
Damian talks to Dick (They are extremely close) and explains the origins of Robin. He says that the mantle was born out of a want to distance himself from the revenge and violence of the league. Dick cries when he learns this and says that his own parents used to call him Robin. He suggests that the mantle is more than a personal need. Robin is Family.
Damian almost immediately demands that Dick be trained and help catch Zucko. Bruce is confused, as before, Damian was strongly against letting a nine-year-old fight crime. Damian explains (after much cajoling. He might be more emotionally open and healthy than when he first arrived in the manor, but the kid is still constipated) what Dick had said, and that Damian understands the kid’s need for direction. “When I first came here, I needed Robin. I might not have known it, but I did. Richard needs Robin now, as well.”
The family took sides on the issue, but eventually Dick (with the aid of his puppy-dog-eyes™) won everyone over. He got his own Robin costume, and they caught Zucko.
Dick refused to stop being Robin, and so Gotham gained a new bird.
Dick was Robin for almost two years when The Red Hood made his appearance in Gotham. No one knew what he wanted, as he didn’t seem to do much beyond killing criminals. They thought he was a vigilante at first, but then he began to take over the criminal underbelly of Gotham, regulating crime. On top of that, Red Hood targeted Robin. Attacking the boy wonder when no one else was around. After the red helmeted rogue let loose a few hints about the league of shadows, Damian interrogated his mother, who explained the identity of The Red Hood, and how she had set him on Gotham.
As soon as the family figured out the newcomer’s identity, and the reason he was alive Damian tracked him down. He knew how to deal with pit rage from his childhood, and brought the lost bird back to the nest.
The family was whole for the first time in years. Jason was still angry and resentful, but he had his family back. Jason was grateful for Damian taking revenge for him, and they were once again close.
Slowly, Jason let everyone back in, including Bruce. Dick is wary at first of this new older brother, but the little chicken nugget quickly warms up to Jason, and even convinces him to teach him how to shoot a gun (In secret, of course, Dami and Bruce would blow a gasket). Jason couldn’t resist the kid. It was physically impossible.
A year later, Cass decides to pursue dance as her career. She gets a job with the Hong Kong Ballet company. She moves there, and decides to take a new moniker: Black Bat. Her family is so proud of her, but they miss her dearly. Duke visits often, bringing new back to the family.
The absence of Batgirl is filled after a while by Barbara Gordan. She makes her own costume and starts going out. Once again, Stephanie Brown adopts a smol bean (Well, not legally. The commissioner is still alive) and outfits her with a more Gotham-friendly suit and weaponry (I.e. heavy kevlar and leather)
Babs is taken whole-heartedly into the fold, and is made an honorary sister.

I think it's interesting how many people were wanting Jester to leave Artagan and go with the Moonweaver (who is awesome btw). I can't properly convey how relieved I am that didn't happen and that their already strong bond was made stronger and they both grew from it. Because that is how good relationships work and people are capable of changing for the better. Finding new faith worked for Fjord, but I don't believe it would have worked for Jester the same way. What they have can't be replaced.
If Artagan was forcibly taken from Jester it would have been traumatizing for Jester.
What the Mighty Nein, and perhaps a portion of the fandom, don’t understand is that Jester is a depressed lonely person who hides it. She puts on a mask of always happy and fine, it’s ok. She’s not ok and they don’t see it. Jester is also afraid of being alone, which plays into her fear of being disliked and abandoned.
Whether or not anyone else likes Artagan, Jester LOVES him and she has some serious attachment issues so just ripping him away from her would be super harmful.
There’s a scene in C2E19 where the party sees a shack and wants to investigate it. Jester suggests turning Frumpkin into a bird to go check it out since it’s like a mile away. Caleb does not like the idea, but then playfully says for you Fjord I will do it. Jester responds by being dramatic and pouting about him shooting her down but being willing to do it for Fjord.
LAURA: Can Frumpkin be a bird?
LIAM: (reluctantly) Yeah.
TALIESIN: For a bit.
TRAVIS: I want to check out the shack.
LIAM: All right. For you, Fjord, I will make Frumpkin a bird.
LAURA: Not for me, though. Caleb hates me.
SAM: We could just walk over there. It's a hassle to turn him into a bird.
TRAVIS: Yeah. Keep your cat.
LIAM: You are more sensitive than I would have imagined.
LAURA: I want people to like me.
Caleb is extremely observant and although this is a light, playful scene, says something that cuts really close. “You are more sensitive than I would have imagined.” She’s being over the top and dramatic, he criticizes her, and since what she was joking about what is actually some real insecurity she kind of deflates, her voice gets real small and she says “I want people to like me.”
It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment made harder to catch by the fact everyone is talking at once and Laura is eating pizza (role-playing with your mouth full - this is not to shame her for eating, she is entitled to that pizza, but it might make it harder to pick up on the moment). However, I think this touches upon something important.
Jester is in fact extremely insecure about being liked, and you see this with her relationship with the Traveler. Worrying that he might not like her now that she has other friends at first, and constantly needing reassurance that she’s the most important.
There’s a brilliant thread on reddit that sums up Jester’s character as follows:
“She's a people-pleaser because she's afraid to lose people. She grew up with the only 'low resource' being people - caring, loving, laughing people. She had her mother, who definitely loves her, but that was it. Most children have scores of people, and other children! to play with. Jester didn't.
And she's afraid to lose that, at any cost. Even realizing she was manipulated, keeping Artagen is more important than standing up for herself or showing her disappointment, because she can't lose him.
Onto - Artagen. What we know:
He's openly admitted to being manipulative and selfish
More importantly: he's openly admitted to never wanting to be bored and never wanting to 'get into emotions'
This REALLY matters. Why?
Because Jester is afraid of losing everyone so she can't be what those people don't want.
Jester can't be upset in front of Artagen because he might get bored with all of her emotions and leave.
It's crazy important for her to be his favorite because, as she is helping him leave all of his followers (her biggest fear) he keeps saying he won't leave her.”
Jester has pretty serious abandonment issues. Children need the attention and support of a caregiver. RedditTotalWar made a great point on that reddit thread: “A significant withdrawal of attention is often enough to cause a child to develop abandonment issues. Children don't have the capacity to realize that some things aren't about them since they are the centers of their own universe.” So the fact Jester’s mother, who clearly loves her and is a good person, did not always have time for her and required Jester to keep her existence secret is damaging.
Note, this is not to suggest that Marrion is a bad person or was intentionally abusive. You don’t have to be a monster to hurt a child. Disney example: In Tangled, Mother Gothel isolated Rapunzel and was an abuser who just wanted to use her. In Frozen, Anna’s Mother and Father isolated Anna out of a desire to do what they thought was best for their other daughter Elsa and to protect Anna from what they saw as the threat posed by Elsa’s magic. Anna’s parents were not intentionally abusive and loved their children, but Anna was still neglected and isolated and harmed by their actions.
To Jester, the message she got growing up was ‘Momma loves me, but she’s busy and I can’t get in the way and no one can know I exist’ which could easily be taken as ‘Momma loves me, but I’m not the most important thing to her’ or even ‘Momma loves me, but my existence makes her life harder, so maybe I’m not completely lovable since I’m a problem’.
And while you may think, if she was that worried why would she act out and play pranks and cause trouble, the fact is that children who are insecure about being loved may self-sabotage with caregivers. You see a high rate of disruption in foster children right before adoption because the child starts exhibiting behaviors. Perhaps faced with the fear of, maybe my parental won’t love me if I cause trouble, it feels safer just deliberately causing trouble because then at least you’re the one in control rather than walking on eggshells terrified that messing up could mean abandonment.
The fact that Jester’s prank on Lord Sharp resulted in her having to leave the only home she’s ever known and never come back under threat of death and that her Mother could not (or in her mind, would not?) protect her may have made her abandonment issues a lot worse.
Jester is terrified of being left alone, of being abandoned. Taking away the one person who has been a constant in her life and who she has felt safe with all at once would not be good. As Laura said on her playlist “he’s always been the one person she could show her insecurities to” and losing that stable, trusted person would hurt.
I don’t think her relationship with Artagan is entirely healthy (it’s not healthy for a child to grow up with only one other friend and her attachment to him extreme and also he’s a selfish, manipulative Archfey - I don’t think Artagan thinks this relationship is entirely healthy). However, I do not think it would have been better for her to have him ripped away like that. Especially given the fact that the whole Moonweaver thing was her idea and she would likely blame herself for what happened.
How devastating would that be for someone with Jester’s level of insecurity?
The Mighty Nein, and again a portion of the fandom, may have preferred it if Jester broke up with Artagan and moved on or found a new god. Fjord’s relationship with Uk’otoa (Uk’atoa) was toxic and abusive, so the Mighty Nein are very wary of that sort of relationship. Fjord if projecting and thinks that any relationship with a powerful being that isn’t a god is dangerous.
The truth is Jester’s relationship with Artagan isn’t really like one of cleric and god. It’s more like a personal relationship where he happens to give her divine powers.
LAURA: I take a bite of my caramel apple, and I go walking down.
MATT: You hear a crunch sound and your handshakes for a second and you look down and a mysterious secondary bite was taken out of the apple.
LAURA: (gasp) I lick the spot.
(groaning)
SAM: You're making out with your god? Gross.
MATT: They have a special relationship.
A special relationship indeed, Matt. It’s intimate, she talks to him about her crushes and asks him for advice on boys then casually confesses love to him.
LAURA: You're not jealous, are you?
MATT: "No."
LAURA: You'll always be my number one love.
MATT: "I know.”
Fjord is an orphan who was looking for parental figures. Vandren was a mentor and father figure, and it was through Vandren that Fjord gained his connection to Uk’otoa. The Wild Mother felt Motherly to Fjord and in Talks Travis said that when Matt first described the feeling his thoughts were on like have I found my Mother somehow. To Fjord religion is a divine parent, an authority figure who provides guidance and direction, and in the case of the Wild Mother love and support for him.
Jester has never seen the Traveler as a ‘dad figure’. He’s just her best friend and based on her behavior towards him and jealousy towards his other followers, and the number of love songs on Laura’s playlist, I’m pretty convinced that Jester is IN LOVE with him.
(I don’t know if that feeling is required. Given they grew up together with him in the form of another child and the fact Artagan is actually ancient, I think he sees her more like a little sister. This might be why he was so confused when she grabbed his face and leaned in like she was about to kiss him despite the fact that like she’s flat out told him that he’s her number one love and requires constant reassurance that she’s his favorite and acts like a schoolgirl with a very obvious crush)
And again, all of this may not be healthy or ideal for Jester. She might get hurt. However, I think in order to grow the relationship has to run it’s course no matter what happens. Artagan not only acted completely selflessly by kicking her off of him rather than face the possibility that she’d have to choose between him and or friends or be banished with him but like - he apologized to her.
An actual, real, non-manipulative apology. He admitted he was manipulative and he’s sorry and when she tries to play it off as it’s fine, he says he doesn’t want to defend himself. He’s sorry.
That’s growth.

100-man-nen Chikyuu no Tabi: Bander Book - Final Thoughts
I feel like this was just a bunch of nonsense. The film kept jumping from idea to idea hoping something would stick. I did enjoy the more original bits (like the cultures of the different planets), but the really awkward homages to Hollywood were just off putting. I know that movie references are kinda a Tezuka thing and normally I like them, but these did not feel well integrated at all. At one point they made a reference to The Birds and it just said "A. HITCHCOCK" in the background in text. Like, yeah, thanks for that. Also, Dracula and the mummy show up, cuz why not?
At least I got some pretty aesthetic screenshots out of this. Full thoughts below the cut.
Notes:
-As usual, although it's definitely not as smooth as modern shows/movies, 70s anime is beautiful and you can see the passion behind it (especially with how much more difficult animation was back in that time). Some of the character design was pretty whack (Bander's design is really doofy looking), I admire the inventiveness and variety (no same-face syndrome here!) I don't really have the vocabulary to describe it but the simple color palette is very pleasing to the eyes as well.
-I'm very confused how Black Jack fits into this story. I've never read/watched a single Black Jack story, but I had no idea he had anything to do with Sci-Fi. I legit just thought he was a rogue doctor lol. I can't tell if this is supposed to be part of his canon or if they were just reusing the character and this is like an alternate universe where he has a space brother. -big shrug-
-One confusing aspect of the film were characters just magically knowing names. Somehow Banders' adoptive parents knew he was named Bander (was his capsule labelled or something?) and somehow Marina knew Mimuru's name (plant lady powers??) Zero explanation.
-Two very anime/Japan things about this movie: a fixation on boobs (EVERY animal had boobs including reptiles) and the step sister being the love interest, because of course she is. The second Mimuru was introduced as a step sibling, I instantly knew. DangitJapan, it doesn't matter if they're not blood related if you spend 17 years growing up with someone it's weird!!
-The transformation sequences were fun. I bet those were tricky to animate.
-Why did that one lady wear her transformation ring on her nipple and then the dad wore his on his arm? Do these people not know that you can wear rings on your finger? Is that one lady just kinky?
-They did the same thing they did in I'm Standing on a Million Lives where you use the word for horse ("uma") to describe something that's definitely not a horse. I guess anything you ride is an "uma"?? (Unless it's a chocobo).
-The alien designs were a mixture of creative and cursed. That weird water-boob monster in the desert freaked me out lol
-Can't say the female characters were super inspiring. Their only traits were "love interest #1" and "love interest #2" It was also hella awkward how Mimuru was just waiting for Marina to die to swoop in and be the rebound.
-I enjoyed Black Jack's old timey badassery. He kinda reminds me of Tuxedo Mask with his suave cape swishes haha
-I got major Star Wars vibes from some scenes, but this only came out a year after that, so I don't know if they would really have had time to be inspired by it.
-I feel like the movie mostly made sense until we got to the part with Dracula and then I just lost the plot completely. The plot felt pretty aimless to begin with because Bander was just like "I'm going to Earth because a robot told me so!!" Like, he didn't exactly have a plan or goal.
-Dr. Sharaku made no sense. First of all: why is he a baby? I swear they just didn't explain that. Second, why exactly did he create "the power of fear"? He was literally just like "Yeah, I spent 3 years making this uber deadly weapon, sure would be bad if someone used it." Then why'd you make it!? Just for science reasons?
-I could have done without the "history of the world" bit. That honestly felt like padding. Even Bander was like "get on with it!"
-Marina's death sequence where she transforms into a tree was nice. Reminded me of Fantasia 2000. I feel like snippets of this movie are great, but all together it's a bit of a mess.
So yeah, that was a thing. Definitely one of my more obscure viewings (not a lot of info about this online). As far as I can tell, this is a standalone work, aside from referencing other stuff. The way it's called "Bander Book" makes it sound like it's one "book" in a series, so I'm not sure why they called it that. Anyway, it was a hot mess so I give it a 5 outta 10.

What it Ursa took her children with her? - Pt.2
As we were saying:
Little over year has passed since the family arrived in Hira’a, and fateful news gets to them: Ozai remarried. His new wife is someone who is honoured to marry the Firelord and doesn’t mind the fact that his head is so deep up his own arse- anyway, and they are expecting a child, who is to be the Firelord’s legitimate heir.
Azula’s hopes and dreams are shattered. At age ten, she is quite literally being replaced in her beloved father’s life. It’s like she’s never even existed, and she can’t help but wonder what she did wrong.
Zuko is also upset, of course. All those years when Ozai told him he was unfit and worthless come flooding back. But somehow, he already expected things to turn out like this. Unlike Azula, he wasn’t so deeply feeding on hopes that things would go back to normal. He sees it more as a situation that was out of everyone’s control.
He convinces Azula it’s not her fault, and these kids will still be trying to understand and defend their father later down the road. There must be a reason for all of this, right? They start thinking of a reasonable scenario…
Ursa just feels sorry for the poor woman who has to deal with Ozai now.
Tumblr media
So we get a timeskip: about three years came and went. Zuko and Azula – treated as kids and not as weapons – lead a peaceful and happy life whenever they’re not thinking of their father and everything they could be doing out there.
They have become known local troublemakers in their spare time. Kids know better than to challenge them, people know not to leave flammable goods out in the open – a strict policy regarding fireworks has been established after a chaotic incident – and failure to keep an eye on them this one time led to… well, let’s just say that the town is still unsure of whether or not they’re is being haunted by evil spirits.
They aren’t allowed anywhere near Forgetful Valley, but bold of you to assume they never tried. In-jokes arise.
‘No, I’m serious: that tree’s face looked exactly like yours, Zuzu. You really should befriend it,’ Azula mocks, remembering a particularly ugly tree they encountered in their adventure.
‘Sorry, I wasn’t looking at it. I was busy looking for whoever it was that asked you,’ Zuko retorts. ‘Since Forgetful Valley has all the kinds of crazy stuff.’
‘Maybe we should go back and look for your impulse control, then.’
‘None of you are going back in there,’ Ursa reprehends. ‘It was very irresponsible of you. Forgetful Valley is a dangerous place, you could have gotten hurt!’
‘Your mother is right, you know?’ Noren comments. ‘I’ve been to that jungle before, and it’s definitely not a playground. But I swear…’ He makes a dramatic pause. ‘I once saw Ursa’s sense of humour in there.’
The kids burst out laughing while Ursa sighs. ‘Since you can find such amazing things in the valley, dear, why don’t you go back there and find yourself actual funny jokes? I’m sure my sense of humour will be around the same corner.’
*More laughter*
(IDK, I write crappy comedy, ok?)
They still have a bit of a hard time making friends. I wouldn’t say they are shy, but they definitely have a talent to say the wrong things at the wrong times, and it’s hard to make deep connections. Sure, they would play with other kids from time to time, but in the end, Zuko and Azula are each other’s best friend.
They’ve cleared an area by the beach that any Hira’a resident knows to stay away from when they’re training.
Azula discovered a great passion for theatre. Not only are her acting skills fantastic, she also seems to be naturally aware of what makes a good scene. People say she’s Noren’s Little Assistant.
She hates being called Noren’s Little Assistant. She would much rather be called Ursa’s Little Star, because goddamn is she a good actress and she needs everyone to know that.
Zuko is more of a plant-lover guy. Unfortunately, he hasn’t inherited his grandmother’s green thumb, and despite Ursa’s best efforts to teach him, it seems like everything he touches dies.
He has grown to show a way with animals, however. Any variety of frogs and toads love him; lizards of all kinds are attracted to him like he’s a magnet; furry animals big and small adore him and any type of bird-like creature seems to think he is the best human being in existence. But his favourite animals are still the turtleducks.
Back in the palace, Iroh eventually learns of Ozai’s bullshit and how he got the throne in the first place. And you know what? The time has come for Iroh to draw a line in the sand. He confronts his little brother, who confronts him back by telling him that, should he try to tell anyone in the Fire Nation the truth – that Ozai was a top-grade traitor who actually had no right to the throne –, no one would believe him. Since his brother won’t be sensible, Iroh decides that’s it: he’s fucking out.
Now a fugitive from the Fire Nation, he somehow winds up owning a lovely traveling tea shop called the Jasmin Dragon. Most people don’t even suspect he is the fearful Dragon of the West, because he’s just so nice?
You can bet he serves blends of tea from all across the nations.
The tea shop is also a good cover up for his exchanges with the Order of the White Lotus. He gives and receives information, and does his best to help villages to either defend themselves or evacuate during Fire Nation attacks.
One day a member of the White Lotus travels to Hira’a for one reason or another and finds Zuko and Azula. This person then sends a letter to Iroh.
Iroh comes to Hira’a to visit the family. He’s glad to see they’re ok, even if he can’t stay for too long. But long enough for some Quality Time – these kids have grown so much!
Iroh doesn’t know of Ursa’s part in Azulon’s assassination, and only assumes she knew of Ozai’s plan. But now, it’s time that her children learned a couple of things, and he is willing to teach them, so that when the time arrives for them to meet their destiny, they should be able to choose wisely and face whatever comes their way. So he asks the children to accompany him in his travels.
Ursa doesn’t want to let them go. They’re children, they should be here living a peaceful life, not meeting some grand, dangerous destiny! What if something horrible happened to them?
Iroh understands the pain of losing a child. He doesn’t want to make Ursa spend her time worrying about losing two, so he respects her decision and soon leaves the town.
But the siblings are not about to just sit here when they know they’re destined for something greater. What incredible knowledge did their uncle hold? Did their father have something to do with this? They always knew there was more to their fate than just living in Hira’a for the rest of their lives, and this is their chance; it’s now or never.
Zuko and Azula are about to sneak out and follow Iroh when Noren spots them. But instead of trying to stop them – he is well aware that he can’t – he gives them two masks and some advice about never forgetting who they were.
Why yes, I am saying that they eventually take the masks and become partners in crime, Zuko as the Blue Spirit and Azula as the Red Spirit, because parallels.
They catch up with their uncle and adventures and shenanigans issue as Zuko, Azula and Iroh cross the Earth Kingdom.
Now imagine this trio: two of the most awkward firebending teenagers travelling with their old tea-loving uncle, who spits proverbs like he’s made of them. The possibilities for both hilarious and heart-warming moments are endless.
Iroh thinks himself a matchmaker. Whenever he thinks he sees some romance going on, he encourages his nephew or niece to make a move. His flaming cupid arrows do more damage than good, yet he only has good intentions at heart. Teens all around the kingdom encourage you to stop, sir.
Their new life is even more humbling than in Hira’a, since they are constantly travelling. But they manage, and they know their uncle is nothing but wise… even if Azula is still quite arrogant and manipulative, and Zuko is impatient and hot-headed, which can lead to a lot of conflict.
Iroh teaches them both how to create and redirect lightning. Zuko is better at redirecting than Azula. Creating it, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated, and both of them get their fair share of explosions while learning. Neither of them really gets a hang of it – although Azula is better at it than Zuko, that’s not saying much – for they still have a lot of identity-related turmoil inside them that won’t let them grasp the energy.
Guess who else teaches them? Other members of the White Lotus. Both Zuko and Azula get some swordsmanship Skills™ from Piandao, some different (and somewhat unwillingly taught) firebending technics from Jeong-Jeong and a lot of things from Bumi, including but not limited to: creative thinking, the art of patience, strategic planning, dealing with pirates and a surprising amount of rocks-related knowledge.
Bumi adopted Zuko and Azula and gave himself the role of Second Uncle. You cannot convince me otherwise.
So one day, little over a year after the siblings joined Iroh, they wind up in a city where this big circus is performing. Uncle Iroh decides to take his niece and nephew to see it. And oh, aren’t they surprised by who they see performing?
Even though Ty Lee was essentially the only one between her sisters to befriend Azula – and consequentially, the only one to periodically spend time in the palace with her –, Zuko and Iroh still have a hard time distinguishing her from the six other girls who look exactly like her, uncertainly calling her all different names before Azula snaps ‘you idiots, that’s Ty Lee!’.
The acrobat is so glad to see her friend again, because damn: it’s been nearly four years since they last saw or even heard from each other! And Zuko, I thought you were dead? This is such a neat reunion, there’s so much for them to talk about! And sure, the circus has to leave soon and so do the siblings, but Ty Lee reassures them that, if they ever needed her, she wasn’t hard to find. This isn’t the last we’ll see of Ty Lee.
Azula doesn’t let it show, but she resents Ty Lee a little bit for choosing to abandon her noble life. She really wishes she could have had a choice.
Uncle Iroh tells the siblings stories about the war that would have some day mesmerized them. But now, his opinions about those events and what he did as a prince general have changed; that, along with what the family sees in their journey – all the horrors brought to innocent people – gives Zuko and Azula a new perspective on what they used to think was a greater good. It will still take a while for Azula to understand that no, these people are no lesser than her and for Zuko to understand why any of that matters.
Iroh eventually tells them the truth about Azulon’s death. Or at least, what he knows of it: their father killed Azulon, banished them, took the throne by force and planned to gain more power at the expense of everyone. This is a lot to take in, and the siblings don’t quite believe it.
After four years thinking about it, Zuko and Azula decided to take their mother’s early words – they went to Hira’a to be safe – and formulate what for them was a reasonable scenario. They believe that Ozai never actually wanted any of this to happen. The whole family had to have been in danger, be it due to some political, social or personal threat, and Ozai wanted to take it all by himself to protect them. So he sent his wife and children away, concocted a plan with Azulon to cover for them and, once Azulon died and left him the throne, remarried to keep appearances. To Zuko and Azula, this makes perfect sense. And they thoroughly convince themselves of that.
They initiate an argument, thinking that Iroh is jealous of Ozai.
Their uncle sees these children are starting to stray from their path, but he knows this is a necessary journey for them. They will never be able to deal with reality unless they face it.
The siblings leave Iroh, planning to head straight to the Fire Nation capital and find out what really happened. Maybe now that they are older, it would be a perfect time to come back home; they surely could defend themselves from any threats.
Of course, they’ll be very disappointed to know that Ozai was just a bitch and never actually cared for any of them.
I don’t have a full formed idea about how their reencounter with their father would go down, but I say Ozai would officially banish both his children from the Fire Nation for trying to cause a commotion – which could easily be perceived as a threat. Not only that, but Zuko and Azula are the children of a traitor; cue for Ozai revealing what happened that night four years ago, confirming that he was the one to kill Azulon with Ursa’s help.
I also think that, after that day, the Firelord would have discreetly helped spread rumours about Ursa that would drag her name through the mud in the Capital – was she cheating on Ozai? Was she selling Fire Nation information to the Earth Kingdom? Was she planning a coup against the Firelord? Her crimes change from mouth to mouth. In the end, no one would take Zuko or Azula back unless Ozai wanted it. But he doesn’t. Not now, at least…
But Ozai also decides to play with his options: he plants a seed of doubt in his children’s minds; should they prove themselves useful later on, it would only take pulling a few strings for them to come crawling back to him. So he tells them that they needed to prove themselves for everyone to see that they weren’t traitors like their mother. They needed to prove their worth so that he could accept them.
Ozai goes a step further with Azula and tells her that, before his demise, Firelord Azulon had a plan. A plan to bring her back and put her in the leading, prestigious role she was always meant to get. But they needed to wait for the right time. There is a right time, Princess Azula. Your hopes were right all along, they will come for you eventually if you prove yourself.
The siblings have a lot to think about while they’re leaving the Fire Nation. They idolized Ozai so much all these years. But the undeniable truth came crashing down on their heads, spoken by the man himself. What would they do now? They didn’t think it possible, but their harsh actions made things so much worse: they couldn’t come back to their mother, they didn’t have many hopes of running into Iroh again, they can’t even set foot in their homeland anymore; Zuko and Azula are all on their own.
Maybe it’s time to turn a new leaf. It starts with them being fairly neutral, not completely loyal to either the Fire Nation or to the rest of the world. During this period, they would argue a lot about what to do or where to go next, getting separated and going their own ways before destiny makes them stick together again, over and over.
They manage to get a few deals and own a few favours here and there, become known thieves as the Spirits, and maybe meet up with Ty Lee’s circus every now and again. Life is hard.
But there is one thing that is about to be a beacon in their darkness…
Time to catch up to the show. Oh, you thought I wouldn’t go there?
Part 3 coming right up!
(I know I said this would be a two-parter, but it got ridiculously long, so I split it again. Three-parter now.)

starwritten society “season one” summary in bullet points
The Starwritten Society is a secret organization dedicated to rescuing children with paranormal abilities from those who would manipulate or weaponize those abilities. They also specialize in training those children to control their powers, if need be.
But forget about that let’s get to the cool stuff
fox exists
everyone is either kinda in love with him or fucking hates him
or both *coughwilsoncough*
also he’s a bastard
and he looks like pedro pascal but that’s whatever just focus
he gets back from a mission
and is immediately called into Iara’s office
they’re the head of the Society btw
he thinks he’s in trouble but NOPE
turns out he’s a mentor now! yayyy!
wait no he doesn’t want to be a mentor oops
especially not to this... sassy child
who by the way seems WAY too young to be an agent
and he knows that you need a recommendation from a higher ranking agent to be a mentor and so he asks who recommended him
turns out it was wilson
who’s the head of the high risk rescue division
and also the character that almost the entire made-up fandom ships with fox but they don’t expect it to actually happen because the amount of queerbaiting in tv is RIDICULOUS
but jokes on them everyone in this goddamn show is gay as fuck lol
anyway he confronts wilson bc he doesn’t want a trainee wtf dude
and wilson goes
”I thought having another life to worry about might make you a little less reckless.”
yeah they have a very passive-aggressive rivalry as of yet
and so fox is stuck with a trainee
her name is hollister btw, aidan hollister, she’s the paraself
anywho hollister n fox do NOT get along at first
fox makes it very clear that he doesn’t think hollister is cut out for this kinda shit
like even though she was able to hack into the society's security systems which is basically impossible
she doesn’t know how to hold a gun or fight a bitch
AND she’s like 14, most agents don’t start training until they’re like 17
so shes too young for this shit
and hollister is pissed because she earned her right to be here and this motherfucker is just fuckn UGH
also she has a hidden complex about not being good enough or “worthy” but shhhh that’s a secret
but they‘re stuck with each other though so
then we meet Kennedy, she runs the tech devision and was very impressed Hollister managed to hack the system (that she made! Kennedy made the system! She’s by far the most vital person in the Society and don’t you ever forget it)
Kennedy and Fox are also really good friends they’ve known each other since they were trainees
kennedy immediately takes a liking to hollister
she slowly grows on Fox too but he won’t show it
well he has to adopt train this kid so there’s like a solid three episodes that’s just them going missions and him teaching her how to do agenty stuff
then we meet The Bad Guy
Her name is Eleanor Sylvidas
which is the same name as the first bad guy Fox ever faced bc she‘s that lady’s daughter and has the same name
turns out her mom raised her to continue the family business
if you know what I mean
haha
anyway
so Eleanor is giving the Society a lot of shit to deal with
fox and hollister’s mission is to get any sort of information on her, try to find her location but DO NOT GET INTO A FIGHT WITH HER bc they won’t let hollister get into fights yet
anyway turns out eleanor is in the building at the same time as them
they get split up
hollister gets into a fight with her
of course
because shes Like That
hollister loses but fox saves her and they get the hell out of there
the bad news is that Eleanor is now targeting these two specifically
she recognized fox as the guy who got her mom arrested and since hollister’s his trainee she’s roped into the mess too
so a few episode pass that i haven’t fully daydreamed yet
just a few training things and dangerous shit and fox teaching Hollister how to steal a car
and we have a backstory episode duh
every good show has some backstory exposition
long story short fox‘s parents died in a murder-su•c•de and also his sister got kidnapped and he spent a year in foster care before running away and joining the circus and eventually the Society
hollister never met her parents and has spent her entire life in the foster care system
and tragic villain backstory! That’s the heroes don’t know!
Eleanor’s mom basically made her feel worthless or like she wouldn't be good for anything if she couldn’t carry on with the plan thing.
And she doesn’t actually want to be doing any of this! She just acts like she does and wears this sadistic twisted mask to hide any doubt
but enough sad shit get ready for...
the FANCY PARTY EPISODE
there’s one in each season, where the characters have to sneak into a very rich-people black-tie event
and also sneak in as many weapons as they can fit on their person
so they go to this party
and they split up in order to find eleanor
and fox SPECIFICALLY tells Hollister “if you see her don’t engage, just let me take care of it”
hollister sees Eleanor and tries to get Fox’s attention but eleanor is going somewhere and she doesn’t have time and-
so she just follows Eleanor without Fox’s help
and then they get into another fight
and it’s a pretty even fight bc hollister’s a quick learner and stuff
and so she’s gotten pretty good at fighting
but then fox finds them and hollister’s distracted and eleanor gets away
and so they’re back where they started
there‘s a long scene of him arguing with her because she put herself in danger and could‘ve gotten herself killed
and her arguing that she had it, she could’ve just ended the whole thing right there and they wouldn’t have to deal with this lady anymore
but NO because fox had to interrupt
it ends with hollister storming out of the room and Fox just sighing and leaning against the wall
and then realizing suddenly that
well shit
maybe he does care about this kid
thats not good
but of course he’s not gonna say it out loud bc he doesn‘t want to admit that attachment
in the end it’s after a long talk with Kennedy that he admits it
partially because she locks him in her office because she KNOWS something‘s wrong and she also knows that he’ll bottle it up land deal with it silently unless someone makes him talk about it
Kennedy is absolutely not gonna have that shit because that’s not ✨healthy✨
she’s a good friend like that and also just a badass in general
anyway so fox admits that mayyybe yeah he cares about the kid and possibly hypothetically sees her as a daughter and such
Kennedy seems satisfied so she tells him to go find Hollister
wherever she went
And it turns out!!!
she just straight up left the building and went for a walk to clear her head
which is dangerous, dumbass, what are you thinking someone’s trying to kill you
Hollister is a reflection of myself so it makes sense that she’s an idiot tbh
but anyway a few people who work for Eleanor attacked her and captured her and such
aaaaaaanyway
fox doesnt know that yet so he’s walking around looking for her
and after a while he starts getting worried
because where the hell is she? where the fuck is his kid dammit
and then
he gets a text
from hollister's phone
with a series of coordinates
and so being the impulsive dumbass he is he just goes to those coordinates as fast as he can without any sort of backup
and it turns out!
Eleanor was trying to get both of them in the same place, yknow
two birds with one stone n shit
hollister is still alive don’t worry!
she gets plot armor because I like her
so there’s a fight, there’s blood and grit and also there’s...
✨eleanor having a mental breakdown✨
and so she’s talking about how she HAS to do this and she’s losing her composed cool persona and just going wild
and fox tries to calm her down but it doesn’t work, she just wants to kill them both right now and she’s not gonna stop until either they’re dead or she is
and so they fight, although the main two don’t really have a choice in it
Kennedy shows up with backup bc shes a bad bitch like that
and eventually, after a long fight, Hollister and Fox take down Eleanor
They don’t kill her, obviously, but they are Getting This Bitch Therapy
I think she might be important later in like
season 4 or something
that’s the one I just started daydreaming
but forget about that there’s sappy stuff happening! :D
they’re both on the floor, hollister’s kinda hugging herself and she looks like she‘s about to cry
”I thought you didn’t want me around. I thought I wasn’t good enough.”
and then fox just hugs her
and now they’re both crying
and the viewers are crying
and the sky is also crying
because it’s raining when they get outside
and they’ve become this lil family duo
and BOOM there you go season one in bullet points

Frozen - Domestic Assassin (Crack AU) Masterpost
This is a Masterpost of all the fanfiction I’d written (all on Tumblr) based in @ultranos’ Domestic Assassin crack AU which was hilarious for a fairly good-sized group of us! And from what I”ve seen in my notifications, people are still enjoying and finding fics of mine in this AU even to this day, which is great!
I’ve basically dug into my previous fanfiction pages and pulled them out year by year, so because it’ll be way too much work to try and arrange everything by title, I just went by year. At least Tumblr keeps the links when I copy and paste.
Since there are so many, you’ll find them under the cut. Enjoy!
Pre-2016
Air Mattress Prompt
An exhausted Anna returns home from a hot night with Kristoff only to accidentally make her sister fly off the air mattress when she flops down on it for a sleep.
“Am I supposed to be alarmed by the moon tonight?” prompt
Elsa is so exhausted she gets confused between the sun and moon apparently.
“Can we please stop fighting and talk about the koala in your room?”
Elsa adopted a koala, much to Anna’s exasperation.
“Can you pull this fake cobweb across the door?” Halloween prompt
Anna wants to play a prank on Elsa...
Cell Block Sniper (M - violence and strong language)
Yes. Yes. It’s a crossover. A crossover between “Cell Block Tango” song from Chicago and this AU.
“Do you realise what this means?” “That you’re a really bad shot?”
Elsa is NOT having the best of time trying to instruct a new trainee.
Domestic Assassin AU prompt: Hans’ POV (pre-reveal)
Hans has a visit from Elsa when he dumps Anna.
“Don’t touch that!” (Healthcare writing prompt, Snow Sisters)
Elsa was bound to fall out of a tree at some point and end up in hospital. Anna takes care of her.
Elsa and Weselton prompt
Elsa refuses to let Weselton in the door.
Eyes That Glisten
Anna knows how to persuade Elsa to do whatever she wants.
“God you’re such a grumpy bags in the morning aren’t you?”
Elsa is not a happy camper after a long night where everything just goes wrong. “Holy shit. Most realistic Dementor costume ever.” Halloween prompt
Turns out, Elsa just looks like that most of the time.
“I can’t help being a geek about my vital signs!” prompt (Elsarik)
A crossover between another AU (Shardsverse)
“I don’t think I should tell you what we’re dressed as.” (Halloween Prompt)
Somebody think of the children!
“I dropped my cookie :’(”
Elsa cries when she drops her cookie.
“I feel like a T-Rex”
Anna is too lazy to just grab the goddamn stepladder and get the jam herself.
“I wish I could drive you out of my life with a sword!” (Hans and Anna, prompt)
Anna is NOT a fan of Hans...
“Maybe you should go as an assassin. Oh wait, you already are one.” (Halloween prompt)
Anna is a sarcastic little sister to Elsa.
“No one unfollows like Gaston!”
Anna overhears Gaston boasting about how he unfollowed someone because of a disability. She is not happy.
Ruined Dinner Party
After an hour of waiting for her sister to come to the party, Anna finally spots her with “ketchup” all over her top.
Part 2 of “Ruined Dinner Party”
Of course it wasn’t ketchup. Duh. Anna is NOT HAPPY.
Sleepyhead (drabble, Snow Sisters)
Elsa, going to the kitchen for midnight munchies, spots Anna sprawled on a couch, textbooks all around her.
“So. Many. Triangles. Help me here!”
Anna, not being a maths-y person, gets frustrated with geometry, and Elsa offers to help.
“So you’re going as yourself for Halloween.” Halloween prompt
Elsa is not keen on dressing up as Halloween.
“Tell our parents my Tumblr URL and I swear I will make your death look like an accident” prompt.
Elsa practically threatens Anna when the latter demands to explain her Tumblr URL (of course she quickly forgives her little sis.)
“That mask is all kinds of creepy. I like it.” Halloween prompt
Elsa practically shits herself when Anna scares her while wearing a terrifying mask.
Things you said at 4am prompt
Anna gets a call at 4am on her phone from Elsa, who accidentally sniped the wrong guy..
Those Poor Birds
Elsa mistakes a pair of birds’ mating antics as fighting, much to Anna’s amusement.
“Wait, you’re yelling at a movie?” (Snow Sisters, writing prompt)
Elsa is very confused to find that Anna’s yelling from the lounge is at a movie. Not at an invader.
“Was it really necessary to shoot my pumpkin carving?” (Halloween prompt)
Anna is NOT happy when Elsa decides to use her pumpkin carving for shooting practice.
“What do you mean it’s a sunset…?” prompt
Elsa wakes up only to find that it’s already after sunset, not sunrise.
“What the hell? You gave out alcoholic chocolate to trick-or-treating kids?!” (Halloween prompt)
Anna discovers that her German chocolates had been opened by Elsa, who’d handed them out to kids.
“Where did you leave the spare copy of that book?” (Elsarik DA!verse, prompt)
Crossing over with another writer’s AU with her OC, Alarik. Elsa can’t find that one specific book she needs, and she’s sure Alarik has it.
“You once asked me what I’d do if I had only one day left.” prompt
Anna will most definitely NOT be spending that final day of her life with Hans.
“You did what?!” prompt (Elsa and Kristoff)
Elsa does not appreciate Kristoff’s concern over her having WAY too many cats for one house.
“You mean a line segment.” prompt
Elsa is a huge geometry nerd, even waiting in line for takeaways.
“You should go as an assassin. Oh wait. You already are one.” prompt
Another one where Anna suggests Elsa goes as an assassin for Halloween, only to be all “oh wait, you are one.”
2016
Accidental shooting
Elsa accidentally shoots someone she did not mean to shoot in a library’s basement.
Amuse Me
Elsa’s having one of those blah days and Anna’s there with bad puns all ready to go.
“Bittersweet and Strange” (not based on a prompt)
Elsa explains exactly how she likes her coffee to Anna. Turns out Elsa is also a huge fan of marmite.
“Can’t I at least take this baby koala home?”
Anna, no, you cannot take a koala home from Australia, no matter how cute it is.
Cat Gallery (not based on a prompt)
Kristoff discovers Elsa’s huge photo album of her cats.
“Did you lose your main point…”
Anna hears something about money and bills and wait what now.
“Do nurses ever fall asleep on the night shift?”
Anna visits Elsa in hospital and inevitably someone has to wonder this. Elsa’s adorbs when she’s pouty and Anna can’t help but annoy her on this count.
Fight Me
One sister challenges another to a fun boxing game.
“How did you get these bruises?”
A crossover with another writer’s canon OC, Alarik (”Elsarik”) where he asks how she got some bruises while on the job.
“How many cats are in bed with you?”
Anna marvels that there are nine cats in bed with Elsa.
“I don’t think you’re supposed to have the whole packet at once.”
Do not eat a whole bag of coffee. Do not.
I Have Found My People (not based on a prompt)
Elsa has discovered that certain Scandinavian countries drink the most coffee in the world and wants to migrate there right now.
“I know you don’t want this but it’s for your own good…”
Kristoff is rightly concerned when he finds that Elsa had thirty cups of coffee in 48 hours. Do not do this at home.
“I, uh, kinda dropped it in the water.”
Elsa calls Anna to tell her there’s an emergency: she dropped her wallet in the sea and all the fish now have her personal information.
“I want a Venusian day…”
Elsa tries to explain to Anna why she would not want to live on Venus. Anna doesn’t give a fuck. More hours in the day what’s not to love about that?
Of Cat’s Paws and Adopting Stellar Systems (not based on a prompt)
Elsa is enthralled by a photo of the Cat’s Paw Nebula she has found on the laptop.
Of Monkeying Around and Going Ape (not based on a prompt)
Anna comes home to discover that Elsa has adopted a monkey that had been neglected by its owner. Even Anna is almost (I said, ALMOST) tempted to keep the monkey but her common sense reigns.
“Oh so you were in my bed this whole time?” (nsfw)
Dontcha hate when you’re in the middle of coitus and your goddamn cat has to interrupt you? (Elsarik, with another Frozen writer’s (@patricia-von-arandel) OC for Elsa)
“Once we start tickling, we can’t stop!” (nsfw)
Another steamy one with an old abandoned OC of mine (Jannike), where they find themselves having a quickie while the boss is away.
Rubbish Day (not based on a prompt)
Anna is horrified to find a rubbish bag gone and trails of what suspiciously looks like blood leading outside. Turns out some meat thrown in there leaked inside.
“The best way to get rid of your ex…”
Anna didn’t think that Hans Westerguard would ever end up on Elsa’s targets to “take care of”. Until he does.
The One Time Elsa Caught Anna “Studying” (not based on a prompt)
Anna uses the mirror in the bathroom to practice distinguishing teeth for a medical exam. Elsa suggests alternatives.
“What is this owl doing in our bathroom?”
Of course Elsa would adopt an owl and want to keep it in the bathroom. Of course.
“Who dances in the rain anyway?”
Elsa comes home to discover Anna dancing in the rain.
“Why is there an otter in our kitchen?”
Anna comes home to find that Elsa has “adopted” an otter from a “client”. As you do.
“Why would you wish to be at a backpackers?”
Elsa and Alarik (Shards AU, Elsarik) decide to stay at a backpackers together for some private time.
“Yes, yes the cold doesn’t bother you…”
Anna is not impressed with Elsa standing in the snow when she has a major cold.
2017
The Blood of White Men (not based on a prompt)
As Elsa’s favourite song goes, he had it comin’ all along.
Is the Earth Broken? (not based on a prompt)
Elsa is confused about why the day she thought it was today...actually isn’t. She convinces herself the Earth has somehow broked.
“It won’t be high tide you said…”
Elsa needs to learn that reading yesterday’s newspaper’s high tide times is not helpful.
Kittens on Saturn (not based on a prompt)
Elsa hopes there’s actual giant kittens on Saturn after seeing a graphic manipulation on an astronomy news site.
Of Singing Humpback Whales and Rock Trolls
Kristoff visits Elsa in hospital while Anna’s busy with other things. It...does not go as expected. Poor Kristoff.
“Proboscis Monkeys look ridiculous…”
Anna’s exasperation at Elsa rescuing a Proboscis monkey is still not so great that she can’t help but wonder what would happen if you honked their nose. Anna NO.
“She’s going to kill you.”
Kristoff knows his days are numbered when he spills carrot juice all over Elsa’s brand new rifle. Uh oh.
“There’s a perfectly good reason for all these kittens.”
Turns out Elsa decided to adopt some kittens left on the side of the road when they’re already over-run with cats.
“This is extreme, even for you.”
Elsa is so addicted to her coffee she’s begun pouring them into wine bottles, as you do.
2018
Elsa brings home a parrot
Anna discovers that Elsa has “rescued” a very large, very loud parrot from one of her, ahem, “clients”.
Elsa’s Back Up Cat, Mushu
Anna discovers one of the cats apparently reading a book, and much to her consternation, Elsa explains he’s for back up.
“Oh what a circus!” photo prompt
Anna takes her still-bewildered-after-five-coffees sister to the circus. This may or may not turn out to be a great idea.
