Shoutout to the maned wolf, which is technically neither wolf nor fox but has its own genus called Chrysocyon! Why -

why are your legs so long?
I mean, intellectually, I understand that it’s because you live in grasslands and have evolved to be able to see over the grass, but emotionally… why? Are they?? Like that??? Surely there was a way to make your body more cohesive and proportional-looking?
#shoutout to the maned wolf indeed#sometimes i feel privileged to live so close to them#they're so... creature#in a way I strangely relate to#Reblog

Hello!
I just recently saw your red light bandit au! I was really curious on what would happen at the end? Or like latter middle part as well? If possible, would you mind writing what would have happened? If not thats perfectly fine!
If you are fine with elabrating more on it, what was it like when they realized jimmy disappeared? I read the part of sausage helping tumble town rebuild and it said " He owed it to Tumble Town, after all. He should do right by it at least once." which makes me very curious on their reactions once theyve realized Jimmy's gone and how the subsequent feeling they may have from how they acted in the period between because im assuming that not all of them took it seriously first.
Have a great day!
WOAH HOLY SHIT HI THERE–
It's been so long since anyone said anything about RLB, hello??? This au has been locked away in my brain for a while, I was convinced no one would ever mention it again! This is exciting!
I'll start with those reactions right after Jimmy left. You hit the nail on the head there: nobody takes it seriously at first.
The Old Sheriff is the first one to notice. He had spent the night in Gobland the day Jimmy left, and when he came back in the morning, there was no one around. Oh well, he's not particularly worried. Little guy's probably working around Tumble Town, so determined to prove himself responsible or whatever. There's this tiny feeling by the time night falls, however, and the Old Sheriff finds himself alone at the saloon. He sort of thought these talks they've been having at the bar were becoming a nightly thing, a routine of sorts in the loneliness of the town. He wonders, for just a moment, if maybe the young sheriff was upset at him — he won't pretend he doesn't know why. But he dismisses the feeling. If Jimmy is busy or if he was tired and went home for the night, it's none of his business.
Morning comes, and the Old Sheriff starts to think that maybe he should talk to the guy, if only to clear the air. But he finds everything strangely quiet around Tumble Town, devoid of Jimmy's loud presence. He drinks alone again, and this time, he kinda misses the company.
The next day, Fwhip comes by. Amidst the easy chat and little jokes, the goblin wonders why Jimmy hasn't come to Gobland to yell at him for their last encounter yet. Well, he definitely wasn't here this morning either, the Old Sheriff tells him. Fwhip just rolls his eyes. He knows Jimmy: the wannabe cowboy is probably sulking somewhere, avoiding everyone. He'll come around soon enough. He always does.
After about a week, and still no sign of Jimmy, Fwhip grows bored of this and decides to knock on his door. But there's no answer, nor is there a response to Fwhip's loud teasing, no movement inside whatsoever. He's about to huff and leave with a "fine, be this way," but something is... off. Norman isn't there to stare menacingly at him through any of the windows, nor is he at his station as usual. Loyal as that cat is, he wouldn't stick to Jimmy's hissy fit enough to just... disappear. Just to clear his conscience, Fwhip starts looking around the places he knows Jimmy likes to hang out at. If he's no parading around his position, then he's always in those nooks and crannies no one else would think to look for.
Bullseye is also gone.
Oh. Oh, now Fwhip has gone from annoyed to straight up mad. Is Jimmy really that petty that he would... what, take a sabbatical? Hide in some cave out there just to piss him off? To make people worry? Well, tough shit! See if he cares!
... it's been over a month.
Fwhip's beginning to get a bit frantic. Jimmy can hold onto grudges for a long time, but he's still too social of a person to willingly ignore and avoid every single one of his friends this long. He starts to worry something might have actually happened to him. What if that time he killed Jimmy in Gobland actually killed him? No, surely not, there wasn't a body... but what if that was part of the curse that turned him into a toy?
None of the emperors have seen Jimmy in a while either. Joel has no idea how his own curse works, so he just laughs and jokes that the man is simply too small to see.
Sausage picks up one of Hermes' sheriff toys and says "what do you mean, Jimmy's right here!"
Gem has that condescending smile of someone who knows what's going on, but doesn't say anything (you will pry dreamwalker Gem from my cold, dead hands).
Katherine tries to be sympathetic about it, but honestly thinks it's not that serious. Maybe Jimmy just needs some space.
Pirate Joe has no idea who they're even talking about.
Shelby... well, nobody has spoken to Shelby lately, she's going through some stuff.
Scott says he remembers seeing Jimmy some time ago. Or Jimmy's cats, to be more precise. In a cart being pulled by his horse, with nobody in sight to guide it. Seen as it's unlikely some invisible person kidnapped Jimmy's animals, it's probably safe to assume that that was the toy sheriff himself. Scott didn't really pay attention where he was headed, though, and shrugs off Fwhip's concerns.
Eventually, the Old Sheriff takes it upon himself to do some work around town, because it's clear no one else is doing it. There's this small sense of guilt to it, something about going through the duties he used to have when he was the sheriff, even though he had already planned to spend the rest of his days mentoring his successor. The idea of having an apprentice had grown on him faster than he had thought.
It takes a whole three months before everybody starts to realise this isn't just another petty move on Jimmy's part. Fwhip is spiralling a bit at this point, turning all the empires upside down looking for his sheriff, his friend, to no avail. Katherine has been helping him look into the deeper parts of the woods, while Lizzie and Sausage employ the help of their animal companions.
Guilt reaches Sausage in a way he can't explain. He's heard it from the animals around Tumble Town — heard about a man so miserable and desperate that they wondered why he hadn't left sooner; they spoke of the smell of fear that became stronger and stronger each time someone visited the town, replacing what once was hopeful giddiness. And Sausage understood. Because wasn't Tumble Town the same as Sanctuary? Wasn't it meant to be a place of hope and shelter in an inhospitable land? If he had to look around Sanctuary and find nothing but solitude and hatred — they never hated Jimmy, he thought desperately, but there was something bitter about Hermes' favourite cowboy doll now, — he would probably stop to reconsider his position. But leave entirely? Jimmy, the most stubborn man in the universe? How much pain had Sausage really perpetrated this entire time without caring?
He starts helping the old sheriff bring life back to Tumble Town.
About a year goes by. If not for the small clues here and there, little remnants of Jimmy's passage through the docks of some city on the other side of the continent, everyone would have assumed he's dead by now.
Even though he knows — he knows it in his bones — that Jimmy's still out there, Fwhip is grieving, and he hides in Gobland more often than not then. He should have been a better deputy. He should have been a better friend. Should have let Jimmy know how much he mattered. He should, he should, he should...
He would, when Jimmy came back. Fwhip didn't know how he would look him in the eye then, but he was ready for an earful. And he would take it in silence, hell, he'd let himself be punched in the face if it meant Jimmy was there.
Another year comes and goes
And another
And another
And at some point, he doesn't quite remember when, he just knows.
Jimmy is never coming back.
...
Which is funny, because later Jimmy does come back specifically to make him suffer-
... Can you tell I've been keeping this to myself for too long?
As for how it all ends, well... Jimmy's heart is not done going through bullshit, it seems. So in an attempt to protect himself, he starts bringing out the lantern less and less. He eventually leaves it in Not-Really-Shelby's care after certain events nearly kill him and ruin all his plans. His desire for revenge outgrows his fear of losing himself.
This AU is greatly inspired by Count of Monte Cristo, so you can imagine he manages to exact that revenge on at least some of his enemies. Namely Joel, Sausage Fwhip, Gem and the Old Sheriff, who wasn't originally on the list but ended up becoming too much of a liability. He originally was going to go after Scott as well, but his relations to the wizard who helped Jimmy make the situation... delicate.
Hermes, who becomes attached to "Terrence" as the story progresses, is left to spiral when everything they love starts going to shit — both of their fathers are in deep trouble, Stratos is destroyed and Sanctuary is picking up its pieces after an invasion brings chaos to their doorstep. When their newest mentor figure starts to become uncharacteristically cold, they take it upon themself to find out what's really going on and maybe save him from himself.
I think that's how I can explain it without straight up writing a whole fanfic about it? Which I said I would, at some point, but I've just been sitting here with a million concepts and scenes in my head without really doing anything about it-
For real, though, thanks for the ask! It's lovely to get to talk about this stuff again, so feel free to ask or comment anything else if you're so inclined!

🚨 A Voice from Gaza: Please Hear Us 🚨
My name is Abdelmajed Elderawi, and I am writing to you from Gaza, where life has become an unimaginable struggle. Our days are filled with uncertainty, and the hope for a better future feels like a distant dream.
The war has left deep scars on my family and me. We’ve endured the heartbreaking loss of 25 loved ones—each one a light extinguished too soon. Their absence is a pain I carry every day, and I often find myself lost in memories of the laughter and joy they brought into our lives.
Life in Gaza Today: 💔 Overwhelming Loss: The pain of losing so many family members is impossible to describe. 🍽️ Barely Getting By: Even basic necessities like food and water are becoming harder to afford. 🏠 No Safe Shelter: Our homes, once our refuge, now feel fragile and unsafe. 📚 Dreams on Hold: The pursuit of education and opportunities has been replaced by the constant fight for survival.

What We Need: In these desperate times, even a small gesture can mean so much. A $5 donation could provide us with food or water for a day. If you can’t donate, simply sharing our story could help us reach someone who can.
Your Support Gives Us Hope: This isn’t just about financial help—it’s about knowing that someone, somewhere, cares. Your kindness can be a source of strength for us, a reminder that we’re not alone in this fight.
How You Can Help: 🙏 Donate if you can. 🙏 Share this post to spread the word. 🙏 Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
I’m not asking for much—just a little hope, a little relief, and a chance to keep moving forward. Your generosity, in any form, can make a difference in ways you might not even imagine.
Thank you for taking the time to hear my story. Your kindness means more than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude, Abdelmajed ❤️

How would Silco react to Jinx calling him father or dad?
OKAY
I'll give you the short answer first, so feel free to stop here if you don’t want to see me rambling nonsense for the next ten paragraphs: Before the events of season 1, he would probably freeze and pretend he didn't hear it, all while panicking internally and refusing to acknowledge just how happy and proud that makes him. After the finale, if he had somehow survived? Just sheer happiness and relief, and he and jinx would be crying on each other arms.
Allow me to explain
Despite Silco behaving like Jinx’s father in every way that matters —whether it means going out of his way to comfort her in her moments of doubt or jumping to her defense when she is criticized, and that dynamic being something obvious to those closest to him, like Sevika and the chembarons, I don't believe for a second Silco ever referred to Jinx as his daughter out loud before, nor do I think Jinx ever felt secure enough in their relationship to call him dad.
I always felt like their relationship before the finale, while close, had some sort of emotional barrier. Silco is a broken man with deep-seated abandonment issues, I think he would avoid admitting, even to himself, just how much Jinx means to him. Acknowledging that would make him vulnerable, it would mean confronting his fear of being betrayed and abandoned again.
And for the longest time, he didn’t have to. He had no reason to reflect on their bond, no reason to fear losing her. why should he? She works for him. she has no one else. she belongs to him. Everything was perfect the way it was...and then Vi gets out of prison.
His whole world starts falling apart. He can’t pretend he’s not afraid of losing Jinx anymore, of her abandoning him for Vi. He starts spiraling. That’s why we see him act so manipulatively when she confronts him over lying, he’s desperate! and It's in this moment of desperation that he says "I'm your family"
And then by the time the dinner party happens, Silco has almost lost Jinx at the bridge, he’s had everything he’s ever wanted offered to him on a silver platter, yet found himself unable to give her up. and he has finally said the word out loud for the first time “is there anything as undoing as a daughter?” at Vander's statue no less, he has fully accepted what Jinx means to him.
When Silco tells Jinx “You’re my daughter, I would never forsake you” he nods to himself and almost chuckles, as if the words are so obvious to him now that he can’t believe he’s never said them before. And on Jinx’s part, it’s clear that hearing this means a lot to her.
What really stood out to me in the script of Silco's death scene was the line “Jinx, with the affirmation of love she’s always wanted ringing in her ears” referring to his last words to her. This admission of love is something she’s always longed for from him, she probably never had the courage to call him dad or to ask what she meant to him— Jinx, like Silco, fears rejection and abandonment. And for the first time, she has that confirmation, the emotional barrier between them is fully down.
That only adds to the tragedy of their bond, Silco only able to admit to both her and himself how important she truly is after all those years, and Jinx only realizing his love for her when he’s dying from the wounds she inflicted.
I do believe that if Silco had survived, they would have started to build a proper family relationship.
That's why I'm so upset they wouldn't let Jinx refer to Silco as her dad in season 2. I feel like her reasons for hesitating to call him that were completely resolved in the finale. Silco already called her his daughter, and Jinx now fully understands she was deeply loved by him. It's like the writers completely disregarded everything about the finale, their relationship and what it meant for Jinx's character going in season 2.
#op knows what's up#when people say that Silco never truly loved Jinx or that Jinx never truly saw him as a father#i have to ask ''did we watch the same show???''#their relationship is honestly one of my favourite things about season 1#because it is so rooted in this massive trauma that they share#but goddamn they're trying#and it's pretty damn scary#although i do love season 2#it honestly makes me sad how much they pushed this part of Jinx's life to the background despite it being so recent#like yeah love that they're giving Vander some appreciation for the years he spent raising the kids. that is absolutely valid#but Silco was her dad too man#and although he certainly made things way worse in certain aspects (enabling. manipulation. projecting. etc etc)#he was also the ONE person who didn't have any reason to take her in and love her as unconditionally as he did. But he did.#and I think that's so so important for both of them#I never really thought about the fact that he never called her his daughter out loud before then#despite wanting to show how his trauma made him stronger and whatnot. Silco was just as afraid of the concept of 'family' as Jinx#makes it all the more bittersweet huh...#I'll never be ok about them actually <3#god I love this show#love a good character analysis too!#Reblog#Arcane

My doctor and therapist: now with this autism + ADHD diagnosis you need to learn to unmask because masking all the time will make you burn out again and feel like shit
Other people: well it's just interesting how after getting the diagnosis you suddenly start behaving like that I mean I'm not saying you're faking it's just funny how you suddenly cannot be normal like you were before
#god...#mood#I still catch myself doubting it sometimes too so this is actually pretty nice to hear ksksks#Reblog
