Can I have blue beetle headcanons of Jaime's lover who is adored by Khaji Da and maybe the scarab tends to always encourage Jaime to stay by his lover's side at all times?
It took a bit for Khaji-Da to warm up to you, but during this time the scarab would become a silent spectator to your relationship with their host. Khaji-Da bore witness to the sweetest moments of your relationship where you both unabashedly showered the other in an abundance of love and support in the others ambitions, dreams and aspirations; wholeheartedly believing in the others capabilities to do anything and everything.
However the one that stuck out to the scarab came down to the time you found out about Jaime was Blue Beetle at possibly the worst way. It was during his hardest fight to date against a strong villain that seemingly had him down for the count with how unnerving it was to see an unmoving Jaime. So much so that you disregarded your current circumstances to call out to your boyfriend, hanging onto hope that you could give him the strength to send this villain packing.
‘Come on Jaime, you need to get up! I want you to get up so I know you’re okay because I don’t want to continue this life without you! You’re the strongest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting to know. You’ve persisted through so much whereas anybody else would’ve given up and I’m not allowing you to give up now! Not when you’ve come so far! And you, Scarab, if you can hear me, I don’t want you giving up either! You both have got what it takes to win this fight! Now I want both of you to get back up and fight until that bastard doesn’t have the strength to stand back up!’ Your cries were enough to urge both Jaime and Khaji-Da to get back up and finish the fight; emerging victorious.
Khaji-Da: you heard your lover, Jaime Reyes.
Jaime: I heard them, now let’s go kick some ass.
Ever since then Khaji-Da had grown fond of you and Jaime couldn’t help but find it hilarious with how you had a sentient scarab, whom that wanted nothing more then to stay within close proximity of you at all times. Not that Jaime was complaining, he’d love being by your side constantly but has found himself being the one to tell you everything Khaji-Da is saying to him within his head.
Ngl he kinda felt like he was the odd man out but with a few of your special kisses and cuddles, that was all soon well and truly forgotten about.
Jaime: why do you want me near them all of the time, they’re safe and sound. We got rid of that villain weeks ago, so what’s your deal?
Khaji-Da: you should stay by your lover for as long as you can Jaime, for despite the danger having been subdued and peace resorted, I still wish for you to enjoy the simplicity of your courtship. They’re good for you.
Jaime muttering to himself* did I just get a blessing from a scarab to continue dating my partner?
Again Jaime wasn’t one to complain about spending more time with you, if anything the moment Khaji-Da suggests that he spend the day with you, Jaime was already two steps ahead and was already bolted down to your house before Khaji-Da could finish speaking.
Khaki-Da is also very protective over you, so that whenever the Scarab thought you were in danger, they’d take over from Jaime and get in between you and whatever Khaji-Da thought posed a threat to you. Jaime is embarrassed, like extremely so but you couldn’t help but find it funny with how quick Khaji-Da was to go on the offence when an innocent puppy came up to sniff you.
Jaime: I am so fucking sorry, that was all Khaji-Da, not me.
Khaki-Da: and I’d do it again. The puppy was encroaching on our territory.
Jaime: IT WAS A PUPPY-
Needless to say not only do you have the most perfect boyfriend but also an overprotective sentient scarab that will not leave you alone. They’re a package deal. You want the cute boy, you also get the scarab attached to his back for free. Literally.

– FORGET ABOUT US | SYLUS
sylus is the god of death, the underworld, hell. as if that wasn‘t enough, he appears to be your husband whom you have forgotten. and as it turns out, there‘s even more to the story — and about you.
wc; 5.3k
cw; a persephone and hades retelling (kind of), reader is not mc, n/sfw, unprotected s/ex, c/reampie, o/verstimulation, r/iding, a little bit greek mythology inspired, angsty ending
a/n: part of this story was inspired by a fic i read a long time ago. unfortunately, i don‘t remember who it was by, otherwise i‘d obviously give credits.
something was wrong.
you felt in your whole body, it felt like someone was watching you but looking around, you simply were unable to spot anybody. it was weird.
this feeling didn’t leave for days on end. yet, the feeling of being watched, somehow, felt so familiar, too. oddly enough, you didn’t feel like you were in imminent danger. in fact, you felt safer – even slept better at night.
“hello, sweetheart”, the lurker finally revealed himself.
you shrieked in shock as someone suddenly stood before you, a gorgeous, strange man.
“goodness, you scared me. do you normally approach women like this?”, you said, a breathy chuckle leaving you.
“just the prettiest one. and you are the most gorgeous woman i have met in my entire life”, he replied, a gentle smile dancing around his lips.
“uh huh… that’s interesting”, you laughed. “now, tell me, how did you even get into my home? isn’t that… creepy?”
“maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. i couldn’t care less. i’ve come to bring you home.”
“what do you mean? i am home”, you laughed, yet the confusion was incredibly evident in your face.
“this place? no, y/n. this isn’t your home. well, it is for six months of the year but your real home… is someplace else. and i want you back there with me”, he explained, yet so much wasn’t cleared up still. who was he? how did he know your name? he seemed so comfortable just barging in here like… he was someone you had forgotten.
“with you? you’re a total stranger to me. why would i go anywhere with you?”
“because you know me. i’m sylus. you always knew me and you always will. yet, there is a bit of a hindrance between us – you always forget me until it’s time for me to bring you back. i promise, sweetheart. you know me. and i know you. better than anyone else in this world and every other world that exists”, he explained. “i swear, it all will make so much more sense once you come home with me.”
it was weird, but… you felt like he was telling the truth. it was this feeling etched deeply within you, the trust you felt for this man was enchanting and before you even realized it, you were slowly stepping to him.
“i don’t know why, but… i believe you. i don’t understand, but i do”, you softly said.
“because deep down here”, he started, slowly closing the distance between you two and pointing at your heart, “you know i’m telling the truth.”
a loud rumble echoed through your apartment, you looked around in panic as you felt yourself literally being sucked into the ground. “w-what’s going on?!”, you exclaimed, fear enveloping your body.
“we’re going home, sweetheart”, he said with a chuckle and within the next second, just another blink of your eyes, you were someplace else.
confused, you looked around, taking in your surroundings and noticing the gorgeous garden. flowers were one of your most favorite things in the world and you quickly went to the garden, taking a breather of the fresh flowers.
“they’re not real, unfortunately. not a single living thing can survive down here”, sylus explained with a sad tone in his voice.
“what do you mean with down here?”, you questioned. despite him saying that the flowers were not real, they sure as hell smelled real.
“hell. hades. whatever you’d like to call it”, he said, shrugging.
“you brought me to… hell?!”, you asked. “that’s what you called my true home? why would i…?”
nothing made sense. you felt like, nothing would ever make sense to you right now, no matter how clear and understandable the explanation was.
“i promise, i will explain everything to you”, sylus said once again. “come with me, sweetheart.”
he raised his hand, holding it out with an inviting smile. and you took it, curious.
sylus slowly took you around the area. “this is hell?”, you questioned, confused at how it looked all… normal. although the furniture was mostly in black and red, the area was still… giving a certain happy, exciting energy. it definitely didn’t feel like the burning, scary place you were always told the stories about.
“well, it’s a part of it. hell is… not as bad as everyone pictures it. most souls finding their ways here are surprised as well – the burning in hell jab was never a thing. i don’t even know where that came from. yes, hell is a place in which you get punished for your wrongdoings. but… in a way, you punish yourself for those. you know that saying ‘your own personal hell’? that’s exactly how it is for the souls that come here. they relive sins over and over again, with the difference that they experience what they made others experience.”
“that makes sense”, you concluded.
“and being the god of death and the guardian of hell… of course, i’m going to live a lavish life, am i not?”, he laughed softly. “i can literally just snap with my finger…” a little snap with his fingers, and suddenly, a candle-lit table filled with your most favorite meals and dishes appeared in front of you. “and i will have it. this is my world, after all. well, i took over control of it once my brothers and i banished our parents, the titans, to tartarus.”
“i’m so sorry to say this, but… this just feels so surreal. deep down, i know you’re telling the truth, yet some part of me is refusing to believe this is real”, you said.
“as always, sweetheart. you’ll need some time to remember. but that’s okay, i promise”, he comforted you and gently nudged you to take a seat at the couch next to the candlelit dinner table. “take all the time you need, dearest.”
he snapped with his fingers once again and a little plate with different fruits appeared on his hand. “here, eat a little. you must be starving”, he mumbled, taking a few pomegranate seeds and feeding them to you.
“how did you know i like pomegranates?”, you asked.
“i just do. like i said. i know everything about you. and you know everything about me. just give it another two days, maybe three. that’s usually how long i need to feed you pomegranates until you remember. it’s not my first rodeo of this, sweetheart. you’ll understand soon, i promise.”
you nodded, still confused about everything before you just ate the seeds of the delicious pomegranate with excitement. and sylus watched you munch on the seeds so carelessly, so happily. he was so in love with you, his heart jumped as you licked over his fingertip to taste the delicious juice.
“you’re so pretty”, he mumbled. “and so, so adorable. let’s see if i can make you remember me faster this time.”
before you could ask why he kept on repeating that, you suddenly felt his hand on your chin, turning you around before he kissed you. your eyes widened in shock, but you felt yourself melt into it quite fast, eyes slowly fluttering shut and you started to kiss him back. he slowly buried his hand into your hair, his kiss intensifying with every moment.
an image of this exact thing happening flashed before your eyes for a split second, before it vanished again.
he broke off the kiss, breathless from how desperate, longing the kiss was. “i missed this in the past six months”, he mumbled softly. “i missed the way you feel against me, the way you taste. i’m going to make you remember everything. just keep on munching those pomegranate seeds, yeah? they always helped you remember.”
“pomegranate seeds helped me remember? that’s… odd”, you commented, but didn’t complain because you loved them anyway. you grabbed the table with the fresh seeds and kept on eating them, happy about the sweet and sour taste of them. “they’re delicious.”
“of course they are. i got them for you”, he laughed softly. “you get the best of everything. you deserve it all.”
the first day spent in hell with sylus passes with you munching all the delicious food he snapped into reality for you and then slowly falling asleep in his arms.
sylus stayed awake for the entire night. he watched you sleep so comfortably, a soft smile on your lips as you dreamt of various things. he couldn’t know what those things were, but they were beautiful dreams that he knew. that smile on your lips was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen.
slowly, with the comfort of having you in his arms once again, he fell asleep, for the first time in six months, so relaxed and happy. and he actually slept an entire night without being plagued by the memories he had with you before the curse happened.
you woke up with a sigh, eyes finally opening and you stared right into sylus’ sleeping face. you couldn’t help but look at him, he looked so peaceful, and he was probably the most gorgeous man you had ever met in your entire life.
“good morning”, sylus grumbled, eyes still closed, yet he was awake. “did you sleep well?”
“mhm, surprisingly, considering i just spent the night in hell”, you joked, earning yourself a tickle attack from him.
despite him being a stranger, you had no problem sleeping in the same bed as him.
though, something has changed now. you were sure you remembered splits and bits of what he was talking — or more like, hinting — about.
“i remember a few things, i think”, you mumbled. “it’s weird. i remember you and i kissing, every chance we got. i remember you and i sleeping in this bed like tonight. but i can’t remember what our relationship was. were we boyfriend and girlfriend? were we… married?”
“we were — or more like, still are — actually married”, sylus revealed. “we had the most lavish wedding known among every god in our history. you looked so gorgeous in your dress. i remember the night of our wedding day in its greatest detail, too.” a little smirk danced on his lips at that memory.
“it was probably one of the longest nights we spent entangled in bed together. something i plan to reenact once you remember me”, he laughed softly, and that laugh intensified when he saw how shy you got when you heard that. “and then… followed the war. and the curse.”
his tone got more serious once he got to that part of the story.
“the titans – our parents – challenged us olympians. and we did our best to overthrow them, and finally did it. but before it was finally time and we had banished them to tartarus, my father put a curse on us. we are never able to be together as we wished to be. you disappear back to earth like clockwork around april. i will come and bring you back to me in winter. your mother gave me her blessing for it. i get to spend those six months with my wife. though, i have to make you remember every time anew. i have to make you fall back in love with me again. now, i finally figured out how to make you remember the easiest – pomegranate seeds do the trick best. i don’t know why and i can’t explain why, either. it just works.”
you listen to him intently. he had such a calming storytelling voice. you loved listening to him.
“i mean, after centuries of doing this, i should know how to make my wife fall in love with me every six months, don’t i?”, he chuckled, but there was no sort of emotion in his laugh.
“is there no way of getting rid of this curse?”, you asked. he shook his head.
“not that we know of. nothing we tried ever worked”, he replied.
“i’m sorry”, you said, choking up on your sobs. “i’m sorry i have to make you feel this lonely for six months every time.”
“shh, princess, it’s okay. i’m okay. and as long as you are okay, i will be okay.”
you hugged him immediately, trying to bury your tears. it was clear he loved you and you could feel it by the way he embraced you as well.
“i still don’t remember everything. but i’m willing to try, sylus. i swear. i want to remember everything. i want to remember you and me”, you whispered against his neck.
“and you will. i will do anything in my power to help you remember me. and everything about us. like every year. and then we will spend the most amazing six months of our lives once again. you will forget about them but i will lock them in my memories like every year. and then we’ll meet again in six months. i will be yours forever. no matter how much it breaks my heart to know i have to make you fall in love with me again like clockwork.”
he reached to the nightstand and grabbed a box. as he opened it, he revealed a ring. “this was our wedding ring, sweetheart. i keep it with me. can i put it back on your finger?”
you nodded, your eyes still shimmering from the tears you tried your best to contain as you held out your hand. he carefully slipped the ring onto your ring finger, smiling at you.
“i love you. you don’t have to say it back. do it when you’re ready, pretty”, he whispered and kissed your forehead gently.
you nodded only as you inspected the ring, the diamond etched into it shining brightly in the light of the room. “it’s beautiful. thank you, sy.”
as you called him by your usual nickname, there was yet another memory unlocked. you saying this exact nickname before, sitting in this exact bed before. “i- i remember this exact thing. we did this before, didn’t we?”, you asked. “you give this ring back to me every year. how do you have the patience to wait for me every year, sy?”
“i don’t know. i just do. the thought of being reunited with you at some point gives me the energy to wait and be patient.”
“that must be so painful every time i just… disappear, right?”, you said, hugging him a little tighter.
“it doesn’t matter. what matters is that you are with me again, sweetheart”, he replied. “i love you. i will love you forever with my immortal life. i don’t care that you will leave me every six months, even if it’s involuntary. i will get you back when i can and have you fall back in love with me every single time.”
“you must be the most patient man on earth… well- in hell”, you joked, giggling. “this is so weird. i never pictured hell to look this… beautiful.”
“because this isn‘t the part of hell that‘s the horrible one. this is our home. that we built together. i never changed a thing about the furniture you chose.”
“me? choosing black and dark red furniture? i must‘ve been out of my mind”, you grumble. “are you sure?”
he laughed, his laugh so deep and the way you looked at him was the most adorable thing he saw in his life. as you looked at him questioning his sudden burst of laughter, he slowly stopped laughing and started explaining.
“it‘s funny because… you react like this every single year. and once you remember, you also remember why you chose these specific colors.”
“well, then let’s see what my reasons were for these abominations of color schemes”, you giggled and finally stood up from bed, stretching your body to get rid of the last bits of sleep still lingering in your body.
“i‘m hungry. can you snap your fingers and make me breakfast?”, you yawned, turning back to face him.
“why don‘t you try it yourself?”
“h-huh? myself?”, you ask, the previous confusion making its way back onto your face. “how am i supposed to-?”
“just try. you are a goddess, sweetheart. you don‘t remember anything, but i do. i remember it all. just try”, he encouraged you, standing up to go behind you and he took your hand into his, entangling your fingers with his. “just think of the most lavish breakfast table a person could ever prepare. and focus only on that.”
you closed your eyes, picturing a table with your most favorite items to eat for breakfast and within the next second, that exact table appeared in front of you.
“i did this?”, you asked, looking around and finally looking up to face him. “you‘re not playing around with me, are you?”
“no, of course i‘m not, sweetheart. go on, try making something appear without telling me what it is. go ahead”, he said, letting go of your hand.
you closed your eyes as you tried to think of a bouquet of white roses and winced as you felt a stinging pain in your hand. you opened your eyes again to see that exact binding of white roses in your hand and dropped it as the thorns stabbed into your fingers. you watched a little bit of blood trail down your skin before it vanished just a second later.
you looked at sylus who smiled at you proudly. “see? sweetheart, you are the queen of the underworld. you are my queen. you are the goddess of the dead, the underworld and nature. of course, you can do everything i can do, too.”
with that revelation of your true identity, it was like, everything that was locked in the smallest corner of your brain suddenly unlocked. you remembered everything. you remembered him kidnapping you many centuries ago. you remember eating six pomegranate seeds which is the reason you have to stay six months of the year in the underworld.
you remember the first time you realized you genuinely loved him.
and you remember the gruesome war. you remember the curse sylus’ father had put on you before he was banished to tartarus.
“i remember”, you whisper. “i remember it all.”
“what?”, sylus blurted out, as if in disbelief.
“i remember everything. i remember the first time you brought me here. i remember how i fell in love with you. i remember how we got married before your father put the curse on me”, you said, eyes tearing up.
he quickly grabbed your hands and intertwined your fingers. “i think this is the fastest i was able to make you remember”, he laughed, the brightest smile on his face. before you could do or say anything, he kissed you. it was the most intense, passionate and breathtaking kiss you ever shared before.
your arms wrapped around his neck as he held you tight, and when he broke off the kiss, he didn’t go far away, his forehead pressed against yours. his red eyes bore into yours as you sobbed, tears rolling down your cheeks as he wiped them all off gently.
“shh, don‘t cry, princess. there‘s nothing to cry about”, he whispered gently, planting a soft kiss on both of your cheeks, tasting the dried up tears on your soft skin.
“sylus, i love you. i love you, i love you, i love you”, you repeated like a mantra, kissing him over and over again. “i love you. i’m so sorry for making you go through all of this every single year. let’s try to find a remedy, baby. i don’t ever want to see you in pain again.”
“it’s okay. i promise. it’s okay. i will wait for you every single time”, he replied, hugging you tightly as he comforted you. “don’t cry, my love. don’t cry. let’s just spend these six months together… until it’s time again.”
just a few more moments later, you slowly calmed down and just stood there in his arms. “i love you”, he whispered before he placed his fingers underneath your chin and lifted your head. “i can’t help but say it over and over again. i missed you so much, baby.”
you gave no response – instead, you just kissed him, wrapping your arms around his neck once again, the kiss slowly turning from tiny, gentle pecks, into something more intense, passionate.
“missed kissing you like this”, he whispered against your lips. “remember our wedding night?”
your cheeks heated up and you wanted to turn your face around in embarrassment. “no, no, sweetheart, no need to get shy”, he whispered. “i want you to remember that night. because i swear to you, that is what i’m going to reenact once you give me your okay.”
you felt something in your stomach turn, in the most positive way possible. the memories were now etched into your brain and although there were thousands of moments you spent with him.
“sweetheart”, he grumbled, voice having an edge of desperation in it. “you drive me crazy.”
he slowly leaned down to kiss down your neck, he was leaving soft bites over your skin and you shuddered, a feeling of sudden need surging through your body. “please”, you whined, not even knowing what you were asking for.
“please, what, sweetheart?”, he grumbled against your neck. “you know i love to hear your words. you remember now. do it, then. tell me what you want.”
“i want you”, you softly breathed out. “i want you to fuck me.”
“such a dirty mouth. i’ll never tire from hearing you say this, sweetheart”, he chuckled before he kissed you again, this time more desperate, slowly pushing you against the nearest wall and he lifted one of your legs to wrap it around his waist. “i’m going to fuck you so good, you’ll lose your damn mind, sweetie.”
“i know you will”, you whispered softly with a grin.
he was about to carry you back to bed before you stopped him. “take me up against the wall first”, you mumbled, cheeks heating up. “i don’t know why. i just want this. you can make love to me later.”
he chuckled softly before he nodded. “as you wish, milady”, he said with a grin and pulled off your clothes with swift, quick movements. you were unable to move a single muscle, just watching him undress you and looking at you with a hungry gaze.
he slowly let one of his hands trail down your body and you shivered. before you knew it, you felt his fingers slowly circle your clit. even with the tiniest touch, sparks shot through your body, eyes fluttering shut as the first smallest bits of pleasure coursed through your body.
“ah- sylus”, you whined, softly. “i- i need more.”
“you’ll get more, sweetheart. don’t you worry. i’ll take care of you.”
he pushed a finger inside of you, making you moan softly. that sound was one of his favorite sounds on earth. “you’re so wet already. i bet you could take me without a problem, too.”
“please, sy, fuck me”, you begged softly. “please.”
he smirked, his red eyes watched your every move and reaction. “take my clothes off, then, sweetheart.” he pulled out his finger and licked it clean with a smirk. you quickly got to work, pulling off his shirt and the joggers he was wearing.
“never in my life did i imagine the king of hell would wear joggers to sleep”, you laughed but he cut off that laugh rather quickly by wrapping his hand around your neck.
“what’s so funny, sweetheart?”, he grunted with a smirk. “am i not just a person, too? can’t i wear joggers just because i’m the king of hell?”
“of course, you can. i’m just joking around.”
sylus was a rough man, especially in bed. after all, that was a requirement for being the king of hell, the person who rules over the people who passed and punish themselves for their sins, for their crimes.
and he showed that roughness through his actions. because the moment he lifted your leg and wrapped your naked body around his body, slowly pushing in his cock inside of you, he was whipped yet again. he loved being buried in you, fucking you until you were a breathless, overstimulated, yet so beautiful mess.
sylus increased his pace, bouncing you on his cock and making you cry out in pleasure. your body shook, tears slowly forming in your eyes and rolling down your cheeks as you felt your body convulse, a tight knot forming in your tummy.
“i’m- i’m gonna cum!”, you whined. you shrieked when you felt your back on the bed, he suddenly had you thrown onto the bed.
“can’t fuck you properly without laying you down on our bed”, he grunted, “need your legs around me, need you as close as possible to me.”
he fucked you with passion, watching your face contort as the knot in your tummy snapped and you climaxed, back arching into him. you were feeling so great, too, the pleasure making your body tingle and you smiled in your post-orgasmic haze.
“feels good, sweetie?”, he asked, brushing a strand out of your face. “you sure look like it feels absolutely amazing.”
“it does. i feel so.. good”, you whispered, looking up at him with teary eyes. “i need you, sy. i need you more.”
“and you’ll get it all, baby.”
he was ravaging you in the best way possible – he had you buried in the many pillows on his – your shared – bed, fucking into you, your bodies both covered in sweat and dried up tears were coating your cheeks.
“ah- sylus! slow down!”, you cried as overstimulation wrecked through your body, but everything in your body screamed that he shouldn’t stop or slow down. the way he was rutting into you like a man starved was turning you on beyond imagination.
“no, no, no slowing down”, he grunted against your neck, delivering a particularly hard thrust into you, making you jolt up in surprise. “i’m going to fuck you and you’re going to take it all like my good girl.”
“uh-huh”, you whimpered, nails scratching over his back and leaving all kinds of marks. they would heal in a short time, but sylus loved feeling the slight pain of your nails digging into his skin.
your cries intensified when you felt his thumb circle over your clit, along with his relentless thrust into your weeping pussy. “come for me, baby. come for me”, he whispered into your ear, his deep voice sending a powerful shudder through your body and you ended up coming just a quick moment later, the post-orgasmic shocks going through your body.
he held you tight, watching your face contort as your husband gently caressed your skin as he waited for you to calm down. “shh, princess, i’m here. i love you.”
“i still can’t believe you do this every single year”, you whispered once you calmed down, placing your hand on his cheek. “i hate to break your heart like this.”
“it’s out of your control, sweetheart. it’s okay. let’s not focus on that, right now. i just want to be buried in your sweet cunt and feel you as close as possible.”
you laughed softly. “you’re impossible.”
“you love it”, he smirked before he moved once again, watching your face contorted in pleasure and overstimulation. “you love me anyway.”
“that i do. that i really do.”
before you knew it, he turned you around so you were on top of him – he wanted you to watch you on top of him. “ride me, baby. take what you deserve”, he grunted. “let me watch you.”
“you just want me to do all the work, don’t you? so lazy”, you giggled before you started to move up and down his cock, soft whines and moans escaping your throat. his hands were latched onto your hips, guiding your movements and leaned down, laying on top of him and peppered kisses over his neck.
“i swear, your sweet pussy is going to kill me one day”, he groaned. “i’m so close, fuck.”
“then come in me, sy. come in me”, you cried out, overstimulation making your thighs shake but you couldn’t find it in yourself to stop. you just needed to feel this, you needed to feel as close as possible to him. because you wanted to give him all the memories you could until the day you’d be gone again for six months and forget about him once more.
“fuck, sweetheart”, he grunted into your ear. the noises he let out were like music – and you never wanted it to stop. “you take me so well. i’m so proud of you, baby.”
sylus knew there was no way in hell he could hold back after feeling you wrapped around him after such a long time. so when you squeezed around his cock once again, close to your own high again, you felt the spurts of his cum burst into you, filling you up in the best way possible.
he made it to his mission to make you finish again because even though his body was screaming for a break, he had to make you cum so he just guided your hips up and down his cock until you screamed his name and creamed around his cock again, the white ring of your mixed releases so visible on the base of his cock.
“fuck, baby. i sometimes don’t know how i manage to wait six months to feel this again”, he groaned, keeping you on top of him as he softly brushed through your hair. your body was still buzzing from the constant highs and orgasms and you just lay on his chest, trying to calm yourself down.
his gentle strokes through your hair, over your back made you so drowsy, sleepy from exhaustion. “i love you, sy.”
“i love you, too, sweetheart.”
six months passed with a blink of an eye. you spent most of the time eating all the foods you could think of and just spent the time walking around hell. it was ironically romantic, despite it being literal hell. you’d hold his hand, walk around with him as he showed you the river in the elysian fields, which was the river of happiness.
he let you taste a little drop and you just felt like you were floating on air.
you and him spent a lot of time entangled in bed, fucking each other’s brains out, making love, kissing and making out and you just… loved it all.
the moment you realized that your memory started to blur and you had no idea where you were anymore, you quickly took off the ring on your finger and gave it back to him for safekeeping.
“i’m so sorry, sy. i’m going to miss you. i love you”, you whispered before you disappeared without being able to hear his ‘i love you, too’. you were unable to watch his eyes tear up in pain, his heart breaking. you were back on earth, not remembering anything that had happened in the past six months.
“see you in six months, sweetie”, he whispered, holding the ring tight in his hand and sylus cursed out his father for the pain he made his son experience every single time.
sylus swore that he’d find a remedy one day, but he never was able to.
until then, he’d spend his six months a year with you in your home and wait until it was time to bring you back home. despite the pain, he was happy he was able to spend time with you at all.
he carefully placed the ring back into its box and smiled with teary eyes, starting the countdown of days until he’d see you again.
a/n: i really hope you enjoyed this! it was my first time writing after ages so i might be a bit rusty, so sorry about that. this one is one of my most favorite writings in a long time so i really hope you love it just as much as i do!

Harry’s voicemail would sound like:
“Hi, you’ve reached Harry Potter. Sorry I couldn’t pick up your call.
If you’re Hermione, please limit your message to no more than 4 minutes. I’m a busy man, ‘mione, really.
If you’re Ron, yeah hi to you too. I’ll be at yours on Tuesday night for drinks. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten.
If you’re Neville, er- congrats on whatever new plant you just got.
If you’re Luna, yes I’ve renewed my Quibbler subscription. Tell your dad I said hello.
If you’re Ginny, congrats on winning your match and decided to call to scream at me about. If you lost… I’ll call you back soon.
If you’re Draco, I’ll be home soon. Don’t leave the stove on. Finish the laundry if you haven’t already. Yes I’m okay. Yes I miss you too. Yes I know you want my ‘bloody arse’ home. I love you too.
And if you’re anybody else, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!”

Safe: Leroy Jethro Gibbs x Reader
Tagging: @kmc1989 @riley-kore @ilovemark1951 @love-affair-with-fandoms @mishkatelwarriorgoddess
Companion piece to:
The Ice Queen - Gibbs meets The Ice Queen for the first time.
Break The Ice - A act of decency helps Gibbs to break the ice.
Umbrella - Gibbs gets more than he bargained for when he offers you his umbrella.
Grave - You and Gibbs bump into each other in an unexpected place.
The thing that Gibbs likes most about you is that you don’t give damn about what anybody else thinks. That becomes blatantly obvious over the months he continues works with you. You’re a consummate professional, a fierce victim advocate and the most compassionate woman he’s ever met.
The way you speak to the families, it’s an art form.
He could only wish for more people like you. People who haven’t become desensitised by everything they’ve seen. People who still give a shit.
“I don’t know how you do it.” He says to you one night over drinks at a bar he’s already forgotten the name of. “How do you stay sane after seeing so much death?”
Meeting up like this, it’s starting to become a regular thing between the two of you. You’ve been doing it ever since the day you ran into each other at the cemetery. Most nights he grabs a few drinks with his team but Thursdays, he reserves those especially for you.
“I know that people think I’m cold, detached…” You say as you swirl the ice cubes around whiskey glass. “But when I look down at them, I see the person they were. Lieutenant Colchester’s calloused fingers from where he played guitar, the scar on Ensign Lopez’s knee from a cycling accident. They all had hobbies, a life, people who care about them.” You take a sip from the glass. “I guess that makes me driven.”
“It’s a good way to be.” Gibbs tells you, his gaze meeting yours. “You fight for them, even when the lead on the case tells you, you shouldn’t.”
He’s talking about the blow up they all overheard coming from Family and Sexual Violence and Threat Management Unit this afternoon. You have a dead Corporal on your table and Special Agent in Charge LaRue is shoving the file to the bottom of the pile because the deceased used to be hook to put food on the table before she joined the service.
“I’m gonna be person non-grata in that department for a very long time.” You state as you signal to the bartender for another round. “They’ve already requested another M.E.”
“It was the right thing to do.” Gibbs tells you as if it’s something irrefutable.
That’s one of the reasons you like about spending time with Gibbs. There’s no platitudes, there’s only frankness. He’s a man without an agenda and you can not express just how refreshing that is.
“I know.” You say, pushing your used glass away from you. “I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I thought it would bring any of them justice.”
You damn well would too, he knows it.
It’s an hour later that he begins to tug on his jacket. It’s the same everytime. Eleven o’clock hits and he walks you home. Only tonight you aren’t pulling on your coat, your still sitting there, your finger tracing around the top of the glass you’ve been drinking from.
“Maeve?” He questions, tilting his head to meet your gaze.
“I think I’m gonna stay a while.” You tell him and he sits back down on his stool.
“Alright, well I’ve got nowhere else to be-”
“Jethro.” You say softly, your hand coming to rest on top of his ensuring you have his full attention. “You know that feeling you get, that frustration that builds and builds until you end up starting a fight. I get that too, only I fuck it out.”
“Oh.” He says as it dawns on him. “I’m cock blocking you.”
“You look like a big strapping Marine, ready to beat the shit out of anyone that approaches me.” You inform him and he supposes he kinda does.
“I’m not sure how comfortable I feel…” He begins because his momma taught him a lot better than to leave a woman alone in a bar.
“It’s not about your comfort.” You remind him, your voice turning brittle. “It’s about me getting what I need and what I need is to get fucked.”
He doesn’t like it, not because of the sex but rather the danger it presents. You’ll be taking home you don’t know, someone who could hurt you or worse. He also knows he can’t stop you, that you’re going to do this no matter what he says because it is a need, one that he recognises all too well.
“Will you call me or page me?” He asks you as he raises to his feet once again. “Just so I know you’re safe.”
You sigh, rapping your fingertips upon the surface on the table. He gets the feeling you aren’t used to people actually giving a shit about you. Well tough, he does and you’re just gonna have to get used to that.
“Maybe.” You concede. “If you leave within the next five minutes.”
Maybe…
That’s the best he’s gonna get for now.
It’s a couple of hours later that his pager chirps. He’s doing push ups in the dark on the bedroom floor, trying to chase away the images of another man touching you, tasting you, fucking you. He’s not a jealous man but he is protective, he would go to hell and back for the people he cares about and apparently you’re one of them. He picks up the tiny black device, his gaze fixating on the letters as they scroll across screen.
S-A-F-E.
Safe.

hello hii so uh. if youre taking requests can you make an nsfw 03 raph x fem!reader thingie?? with a little bit of submissive-ish raph if you dont mind:3
Good Boy (18+)
2003!Raphael x reader
A/N: Sure I can!❤️Even though it became a little more than a thingie, and I might have made him a bit more than just submissive-ish, as I got carried away, but I’m sure it’ll still work😂 Hope you enjoy!❤️
---------
You have long been wanting to switch the roles in the bedroom, and finally Raphael allows you to do so❤️
All characters are aged up.
Warnings: Spelling, dom reader and sub Raph, oral - male receiving, a little bit handjob, dirty talk, using of the term “good boy” quite a lot, turtley anatomy, a little bit of stripping, teasing, unprotected sex, cowgirl, light choking, getting rougher towards the end, a lot of begging oboy, desperation?
---------
Your boyfriend had never really been the submissive type. It was just not natural for Raphael. He did not like when anybody told him what to do. Heck, he even clashed with his older brother, getting mad whenever Leonardo told him to do something. It was not that Raph did not want to do it, it was more the fact that someone had told him to. That just didn’t work for him.
And just like Raph didn’t like to take orders by his brothers, he did not like it in the bedroom. To put it simple; your boyfriend was very dominant during sex. Not that you complained, no, not at all. You loved your boyfriend, and you most definitely liked his rough side during sex. But as much as you liked being dominated by Raphael, you could not deny your curiosity for trying something else.
First time you brought up the topic of the two of you switching roles, Raph looked very displeased. With his arms crossed and an almost scolding frown on his face. It was a clear no.
The second time you brought up, Raph shut you the sharpest glare ever. Not happening.
The third time he just shot the conversation down before it could even start, knowing fully well what you wanted to ask him.
But the fourth time, he actually thought about it for a moment. He still told you no, but he actually thought about it. And he continued to think about it the day afterwards. And the day after that. And the day after that…
It took a week before Raph came to you, acting more tough than he ever had before, acting unbothered as he stretched his arms out above his head.
“I’ve been thinking, babe”, he started out, acting as if he didn’t see the smug smile spreading across your face. You already knew what he was going to say. “If ya really want ta try bein’ the dominant one in bed, I don’t see why I shouldn’ let ya do it one time”.
And that was the events that led to you and Raph making out on a mattress in his room late at night, once you were sure his family had gone to bed. You were straddling his hips, your pants long gone by now, leaving you in only your underwear and the shirt you had intended to sleep in, as you and Raph’s lips and tongues moved together, exploring the areas the two of you knew so well by now. Small hums escaped your connected lips, along with the wet sounds that came from your hungry kisses.
Raph did what he usually would do when the two of you were in a position like this; he would let his hands wander up your thighs, until they rested on your ass cheeks. From here he would usually rais one of his hands, before letting it fall back against your skin with a loud smack, causing you to jolt and moan against him, as he would start to roughly squish both your cheeks. But this time was different.
Raph let out a surprised sound against your lips, when he found his hands pinned by his head. It was as if he had forgotten your conversation earlier that day.
“Hey, that’s not fair, babe!”, he exclaimed, wiggling his wrists in your grip. “I was enjoyin’ myself there!”
“But you promised me, Raph”, you tsked, shaking your head at your boyfriend.
“Yeah, but that was before ya started kissin’ me!”, he growled. “Ya know I can’t help myself when sittin’ on top of me, looking so tasty”.
“No, I understand, Raphie”, you said with a fake sigh. “I should have known you couldn’t take it”.
Raph paused for a moment. “What did you say?”
“It makes sense why you don’t want me to dominate you, Raphie”, you sighed, letting go of his wrists so you could sit back onto his lap. “if you can’t take it, that changes everything”.
“Hey! I can take it”, Raph rumbled. You had to fight in order not to smile.
“Are you sure about that?”, you asked, acting unsure.
“I’m more than sure”, Raph boasted, puffing his chest up slightly. “Ya know me, babe. I can take anything”.
“Well, in that case”, you said, your eyes sparkling with michevie as you leaned over him, your thumb finding his lower lip, dragging it down. “Be a good boy and do as I say”.
Raph’s widened. He stared at you as the air disappeared from his lungs. He did not fight the finger on his lip, nor the fact that you had called him a good boy, the same way used to call you a good girl, instead he just stared at you, his lip trembling ever so slightly under your finger. You hummed in slight amusement. This was going to be fun.
You removed your finger from his lip and took his wrists once more, moving them further up. “These stay up here”, you smiled with a sultry voice.
“What happens if they don’t?”, Raph said, masking his small anticipation with a smirk. But the rise and fall of his chest and his heavy breathing gave him away.
“Oh that won’t happen”, you smirked, slowly letting your fingers trail from his wrists and down his arms. “Because good boys do as they have been told”.
Raph’s breath hitched at this comment. His fist clenched around themselves, his mouth dry as he tried to swallow. With a half smile you leaned back down toward his face, chuckling as he tried to capture your lips with. Instead you grabbed a hold of his chin, turning it to the side, giving you room to leave small tender kisses down his neck. Raph sighed, and his fingers moved over his head, as he tried to keep himself still, trying hard not to focus on the way your lips felt against his skin, or the scent of your arousal that filled the room.
You chuckled at his reaction, before lightly biting down onto his soft stop. Raph gasped at this, suppressing a moan. His hands lifted from the bed, ready to get a hold of you, but he quickly became aware, slamming them back down where you hand told him to keep them.
“See what a good boy you are”, you hummed. “Doing exactly as I’ve told you to. You’re doing so well, Raphie”.
“Goddamn, (Y/N)”, he sighed, fighting hard not to let out a needy moan. He had fallen harder into your grip than he had thought he would, already feeling the familiar feeling around his cloaca, letting him know he would be dropping soon. Raph had never been that quick to drop before, clenching every muscle hoping to halt it.
“What is it, Raphie?”, you asked in his ear, the feeling for you breathing against his skin making him shut his eyes, hoping to regain some kind of control. But your next words almost made him lose the little he had left. “Are you goin to drop for me, is that it, Raphael?”
With all of his focus on making his arms stay down, Raph felt as if he had no control over his mouth. The words that left his lips were not ones he intended, yet they sprung furth anyway, uncovering how he actually felt about this whole situation. “Yes”.
“Then do it, big boy”, you commanded, nibbling on his skin once more, as you slowly started grinding your hips against his. Strained moans left Raph’s parted lips, his eyes still shut and his brow bones frowning in pleasure. It didn’t take long before you felt his hardness emerge from his cloaca, poking against your naked thigh. You smiled, leaning back a little so you could look down on your heavy breathing boyfriend, watching his eyes shut open when you lifted your hips from his.
“Continue that good behavior, and don’t move”, you hummed, before you started to kiss around his collarbone at the top of his plastron. Raph sucked in a breath of air, his chest rising as you started to move down, your lips kissing along the line in the middle of his plastron, the vein in his neck standing out as he tried to do every single mantra in his mind that he could think of.
Your fingers started tracing down his sides as you went down, making him raise his head so he could look down, watching you with his mouth agape. The moan that left his mouth was louder than he intended, making him groan in frustration. Raph had always known you were hot. His dream dream girl, who he was so lucky to have as his girlfriend, but this was ridiculous. The way your eyes looked at him made him scream inside his head, thinking of all the time he easily pushed you over if you started teasing him, taking you hard and rough on the spot. But why didn’t he do it now? Well, to put it quite simply, he liked it. He liked the way you had taken charge of him and given him that little nickname, even though he wouldn’t admit it to himself just yet.
Raph watched in anticipation as your lips got to his hip, your eyes looking back at him with a small smile, as you started to kiss around his hard shaft, the vein in his neck pumping away. He groaned lightly as one of your hands slowly grabbed onto him, holding him still, as you slowly started licking your way up to the head. Raph almost broke when you licked over the slit of his head, picking up any pre-cum with the tip of your tongue, before slowly taking him into your mouth. Raph let his head fall back, savoring the feeling of your tongue against him, as you hollowed out your cheeks before moving your head up and down.
As you started to increase the speed, Raph found it harder and harder to keep quiet, his moans becoming more and more audible, almost forgetting that the entrance to his room was nothing but a large arch with no door.
“Fuck”, Raph moaned, his legs shaking as he fought against the urge to buckle up against you and your pretty mouth. “Please don’t stop, (Y/N). Fuck”.
You chuckled, the vibrations making Raph’s hands clench onto the pillow his head rested upon, holding back an even louder moan.
You took him out of your mouth, using your hand to pump him as you spoke. “You like that, Raphie?”
“Yes”, he choked out, closing his eyes once more, focusing on how your hand felt around him, using your spit to glide over him, praying for the moment your mouth would be around him once more. “I like it. I really fucking like it”.
“Then you’re going to love this”, you said, before letting go of him. Raph was about to protest, ready to scream how badly he wanted you back around him, until he saw you taking your shirt off, throwing it somewhere in the room, leaving you almost completely naked, with the exception of your underwear. It did not matter how many times Raph saw you naked, he was left awestruck every time.
You slowly stood up before slowly shimmying your underwear down your legs, using your foot to flick them off to the side of the room. Raph could feel his mouth watering at the sight, holding on tighter to the pillow, just as you stood over him, one leg on either side of him, before you slowly sat down, hovering over Raph’s aching manhood. One of your hands went down between your legs, letting a finger run through your wet folds, just to tease him, before letting the same finger run down his shaft, making a line using your own slick. Raph once again had to fight the urge to not just grab you by the waist, so he could pull you down upon him, groaning through clenched teeth.
“What’s the matter?”, you asked sweetly as you took a hold of him once more, slowly letting his head slide back and forth between your lower lips, making him shiver as he felt your slick drip down his length. “Is there something on your mind, Raph?”
“Fuck, (Y/N), don’t tease”, he groaned, trying to force the pillow further against the mattras, just to keep him hands busy.
“Then what do you want?”, you asked, turning your head to the side, removing his head from your warm core, causing Raph to moan in frustration. “Use your words, pretty boy”.
“Just ride me, (Y/N)”, he growled, his thighs locking up his he wouldn’t just thrust up against you.
You tsked, shaking your head. “That doesn’t sound like something a good boy would say. Try again, Raph”, you said, your thumb slowly doing circles around the slit of his head.
Raph moaned, his breathing heavier than before, his toes curling at your actions and his patience running thin. But he knew just what you wanted. It was the same thing that he always wanted from you. You wanted him to beg for it. You wanted to hear him beg and whimper with desperation, needy for you to do something. And it was just your luck that Raph was beginning to become that desperate, his head spinning at the mere thought of your walls around him.
“Please ride me, (Y/N)”, he whimpered, his eyes closing for a short moment, almost losing the ability to speak as you speed up your movements around his slit. “Fuck! Please just ride me, babe. I want ya ta ride me, please!”
Your thumb stopped its torture before you lined him up against your entrance. “See”, you said. “It’s not that hard being a good boy, is it?”
You slowly sank down onto him, humming at the feeling of him stretching you out as you went down. The moan that escaped Raph was louder than any of you had anticipated, making you smile smugly as you slid all the way down, until your hips met his. Raph looked down to where your hips connected, groaning as he felt you clench your muscles around him, just as you rose up once more, only to sit back down on him once more. You leaned forward, placing your hands on his chest for support, as you painfully slowly continued your movement.
“Faster, (Y/N), please”, he moaned, every muscle in his body locking up, holding him back from jumping on you.
“As you wish”, you hummed before you gradually started speeding up the movement of your hips, bouncing faster and harder against him, the sound of your skin slapping together, slowly getting louder and louder.
Raph’s hands fumbled around the pillow. He almost couldn’t contain himself anymore. He just had to touch you. His hands almost burned with the need for your skin.
“Can I touch ya?”, he asked in his breathy voice. “Please, (Y/N), I need to”.
“Only because you asked so nicely”, you answered, your voice strained by the movement of your lower body.
As if they were burned by the pillow, Raph’s hands flew to your body, feeling anywhere he could get them. From your bouncing breast down your side and onto your thighs, his hands moved with urgency, in a way they had never done before. You in turn did something that only had been the one to do all throughout your sexual adventures. One of your hands went to his neck, putting slight pressure around his throat. Raph was shocked, yet he moaned, his head falling back as your hand slowly closed around his airway, providing him just enough to breath.
The sight before you made you feel like a feral animal. You would not stop yourself from leaning forwards until your lips found Raph’s neck once more, leaving a trail of kisses and bites everywhere they went, causing Raph’s hands to latch onto your thighs, his nails digging in.
This was nothing like Raph had ever imagined it would be like. His hands holding on to your thighs for dear life as you rode him, one of your hands around his neck in a light chokehold, his head spinning with every little kiss and bite you left around his shoulder and neck.
“Are you a good boy, Raphie?”, you asked, your airy voice in his ear, creating stars in his eyes, his vision blurred by pure pleasure. How could you make him feel so good so easily?
“Yes!”, Raph choked out in a whimper you only had been able to dream about. “I’m a good boy!” His hands fumbled from your thighs to your ass. “Please, let me do it, (Y/N)! Let me fuck ya!”
You laughed, bringing your other hand up to cup his cheek, leaning his head forward so you could look him in the eyes.
“How considerate. Go ahead, Raphie, show me exactly what a good boy you are”.
That was all Raph needed, before the last bits of restraints disappeared. With full force he grabbed onto you, bending his knees before he started to thrust wildly up into you. He moaned out loud as the nails of your other hands started clawing into his arm. The world started spinning before his eyes, and then he felt your walls close in around him, bringing him closer to his own building peak.
“I’m gonna cum”, he whispered in a strained voice, his hips never stopping.
“Me too”, you moaned, your hand around his neck forcing him to look at you. “Cum for me, Raphie. Fill me up”.
That was the last bit Raph needed before his hip started buckling against you, his orgasm rushing over him. You followed right after, your muscles contracting around him as he started to fill you up.
As the two of you finally started to calm down from your high, you removed your hand from around his neck before you laid down against his chest, too tired to move off of him. Raph in turn wrapped his arms around, holding you close as the blurriness of his vision slowly disappeared.
“So”, you asked, cuddling your face against your boyfriend’s neck, one of your fingers slowly doing shapes on his plastron. “What did you think of it?”
“It was different”, Raph breathed out with a smile. “But not bad”.
“Does that mean you let me do it again?”, you asked, a bright yet teasing smile on your lips.
“Wow, wow”, Raph laughed. “I did not say that!”
“No, but it was implied”, you teased.
Raph hummed, his eyes narrowing down at you. “Maybe”.
You chuckled before getting up so you could place a tender kiss onto his lips. “Good boy”.

the amount of anons i’ve had to block in the last 24 hours is astronomical.
just thought i’d clarify on anon etiquette for all those who’ve forgotten.
in no shape or form do i or anybody else want to hear about:
- how you feel about other writers and negative comments about them.
- random hate or messages like ‘kys’, ‘i hope you die’, etc.
- hate about my fics or anybody else’s
- backhanded compliments about myself or others
- any comments about my livelihood, sexual orientation, etc.
- anything that could be interpreted as negative.
- judgements about myself or others that are completely irrelevant and unnecessary.
it’s not that hard to be nice. if you don’t like me or another writer, block us, unfollow us, stop using tumblr. everyday we are nice and gracious to all of you and we don’t hide behind a anon account. you wonder why so many writers have taken breaks or have simply left this app, it’s seriously affecting people’s mental health and there is nothing okay about that.
keep sending the hate if you wish, you will get blocked, i will probably end up off this app because it’s not worth my mental health and wellbeing to have to deal with endless hate.
be nice. be kind. be gracious. specifically to the people who provide you a free service.
(i in now way intend for the nice people on this app to feel like this post is for them, im aware that 80% of people don’t do any of these things but for the 20% who do, do better.)

BTS of #RWRBMovie: 'z' in your last name
TZP via HOLA:
Clifton Collins Jr., who plays my father in the film, was amazing. I knew of him. I’d seen his projects, but we’d never crossed paths before. And then we met and we just got along, thick as thieves. And he’s like an OG Mexican from Los Angeles which was so colorful. He made it feel like there was family on set. Same with Matthew being Puerto Rican. Their influences help you get into that vibe, and then you do the scene and it’s wonderful. You really bring that accuracy to it.
There’s a line in the film when Alex and Henry are in Paris, and Henry asks him a question about his mom’s campaign, and Alex starts telling him about his father and his abuela coming to the States. The line is something like “If you’re an immigrant in America and you have a ‘Z’ in your last name, there’s a lot of people in positions of power that don’t look and sound like you. I’ve been given the opportunity to be someone in the world that my father didn’t see when he was growing up.” As someone with two ‘Zs’ in his last name (laughs), that was a tough scene for me because I had to be there as Alex and not as Taylor. It was very emotional to think of my family and what they went through to come to the United States. Even though they came here a long time ago, you still think about all of the people that are coming to America today and about all of their stories. Alex realizes that his father didn’t have any role models growing up and now he’s a congressman. That fuels his fire to be the change. That was so exciting for me.
From NYT:
For both Zakhar Perez and the director, the character Alex’s biracial identity was particularly meaningful. López grew up in Panama City, Fla., with his Puerto Rican father and Polish Russian mother, while Zakhar Perez is of Mexican, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean descent and was raised in northwest Indiana, where he said there was only one other Mexican family. “Matthew and I talked a lot about the mestizo journey,” Zakhar Perez said in a video call before SAG-AFTRA, the actor’s union, went on strike. “Being part Mexican, part lots of other things, I don’t want to say you’re forgotten, but in today’s world, it’s like, you’re either this or you’re that. There’s nothing in between. I’m kind of a cultural chameleon.” “As a young Latiné queer man, I never read something that centered someone like Alex,” López said, echoing his star. “If I had been presented with this character when I was in my late teens, early 20s, it may have changed how I thought about myself.”
From Windy City Times:
Was the part about having a Z in your last name personal or the book? ML: It was personal. That was about me and Taylor. It came from a conversation that Taylor and I had when making the film.
From Metro Weekly:
Alex has a line about grow ing up in Texas as a kid with a last name that ends with Z, which is I guess something else you can relate to, Florida style. ML: And Taylor Zakhar Perez also. Taylor and I talked about that scene a lot as being something that we both understood. My aunt Priscilla Lopez is a beloved, beloved stage actor. She was in the original cast of A Chorus Line. And there's a story that she tells about Mandy Gonzalez, who was in In the Heights with her, and Mandy once told Priscilla that Priscilla made it okay for her to be someone with a Z in her last name. And that was a thing that Taylor and I spent a lot of time discussing as well. It was important to me that that scene be in the movie. There was never a chance in hell that that scene was ever getting cut.
From Teen Vogue:
TV: One of my favorite parts is when they’re in Paris, and Alex talks about being a young person of color coming up from Texas and not seeing anybody who looked like himself or his dad in politics, and Henry’s response to that simply being: “I’m learning.” I don’t know if you were in the theater for that one, but half the crowd was like, awwwww. ML: Yeah, I was for that. TV: I’m married to a white man, and I was like, that is the perfect thing a white man can say in that situation. ML: I’m married to a white man, too. Speaking as someone who is a person of color married to a white man: that’s like the ultimate thing you ever want your white boyfriend or husband or partner to say. That’s it. “I’m learning.”
ML via THR:
There’s a scene in the movie that is very much me, which I gave Taylor after they’ve had sex for the first time. They’re there in pillow talk mode, and he tells Henry about what it’s like to be the son of an immigrant with a Z in your last name. It was really important to me to talk about growing up with a Z in your last name and even just how our names are pronounced, the spellings of our names sometimes if you have Latin ancestry. To have to answer for your name has always been something for me that I struggled with until I stopped struggling with it. So, I needed to put that into Alex’s story and when it came time to shoot that scene again, it was something I didn’t have to explain to Taylor Zakhar Perez. He got it instantly. The only thing that I did screw him up with is like, “We’re going to do this [scene] as a oner, and we’re going to do it as a top shot that starts in a wide shot and comes all the way down to your face, and we’re not going to leave this scene until you get it right in one.”

kingdom come - ii
king König x princess & assassin reader
2nd person, no y/n, she/her pronouns, afab reader, romance, enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, kind of age gap because König has been king for a good chunk of time but it's not really much of a factor, fantasy/medieval setting
4.4k words
tw: none
[PREVIOUS] [NEXT]
Let's have something lighthearted and playful after the absolute Week the cod fandom has had, shall we?
“What do you mean he’s letting you kill him?”
“I don’t know what you want from me, Calliope, I thought I made myself quite clear.”
“But…but that’s mad!”
“He is mad!” You shove the sleeves of your blouse over your arms. “But I’m still alive, so I’m not complaining.”
“Of course. Should I send word to your father about these new developments?”
You bite your lip. “No,” you say. Something catches your eye outside the window, and you move closer to have a look. König is outside, walking with one of his advisors while eating an apple. It’s a strange juxtaposition between the relaxed boyishness of him throwing the apple in the air and catching it, and the stark, emotionless expression of the mask covering half his face.
As if he can feel your gaze on you, he looks upwards, eyes locking with yours. You shudder and quickly shut the curtains.
“I can do this.” You say, determined.
“You’re not eating.”
You stare resolutely at him from across the table. “I’m not hungry.”
He sighs, as if you’re a difficult child he’s being forced to babysit. “I heard your stomach growl. The food won’t bite back.”
“To be frank, I don’t know if I can trust you.”
“Who the fuck is Frank?”
You glower at him. “I know this is all a game to you, but I’m trying to stay alive.”
“By not eating?”
You look down at the food dubiously, and your doubt must be written all over your face, because König laughs. “Surely you do not think so lowly of me that I would poison my bride at the breakfast table,” he taunts. “That wouldn’t be in the spirit of the hunt.”
“You’ll have to forgive me for presuming otherwise of the man who asked me to eat a nightshade berry.”
He rolls his eyes. “One berry can’t kill a full-grown man. Or woman.” He takes a sip of wine. “And besides, that wasn’t the point of our little encounter in the garden anyway.”
Your hunger wins out over your apprehension. “Enlighten me,” you say, tucking into the food.
“Isn’t it obvious? I was testing you to see if you were going to try and kill me.” He points a fork with a piece of sausage on it at you. “Quiet, secluded place with nobody watching, plenty of exits. You surprised me by staring at me like a startled doe.”
“You caught me off guard,” you mutter. “You’re a very off-putting person.”
He gives you a bemused look. “You’re not a very good assassin.”
You bristle. “I assure you, if my target was anybody else, they would already be dead.”
“Tell me, princess. Have you ever killed anybody?”
“I’ve killed.”
“A human.”
“I know how to kill someone!”
“So that’s a no.”
You’re fuming at this point, your meal long forgotten. “It’s not to my advantage to let you know what I can and can’t do.”
He studies you, twirling his fork in an admittedly mesmerizing motion. “And your father sent you here, to kill me, having never spilled another person’s blood before.”
“My father prepared me my entire life for this.”
“Not sure that speaks highly of your skill.”
You’re already tired of him. “What’s the point of this?” you demand. “A smarter man would have either killed me or thrown me in a cell by now.”
“Not a smarter man, a boring one,” König corrects.
“So you have a death wish.”
“Of course not. I have much to live for. Eating, killing, fucking. Great fun. But not enough on its own.” His grin is near wolfish as he stares you down.
“You are vile.”
“You could be doing something about that.”
You look at him in mortified disbelief. “I’m not going to sleep with you.”
“I was referring to killing me, but it is interesting that’s where your mind went first.” He looks entirely too pleased with himself, as if he’s caught you in a clever trap.
“Fuck you.”
“Now we’re talking!” He stands up, and for one fleeting moment, you fear he’s about to make good on the offer, but instead he just wipes his mouth and makes to leave.
“As much as I’ve enjoyed this little bout of verbal sparring, I have somewhere to be.”
“You seem in quite a rush to leave my presence, for a man who seems so convinced I won’t be able to kill him.” If he wants to be a smart little asshole, you can too.
“Ah, believe me, princess. I would like nothing more than to spend all day in your lovely, murderous presence. But unfortunately, I have responsibilities.” He runs a hand through his tousled hair, and you studiously ignore the way your stomach flips a little at the motion. “I’m obligated to hear petitions.”
You stand up. “I’m coming with you.”
“Why? It’s fucking dull.”
“So I can have more opportunities to kill you.”
“Yes. Of course.” Again with that smile. You’ve never met anyone half as pleased to be in your presence as he is. (The only exception is Calliope, but she kind of has to be near you.) This man simply refuses to act in any normal manner whatsoever, and it’s starting to get on your nerves. You throw your dagger at the back of his head more out of irritation than a dedicated effort to kill him.
He catches it in the air with casual precision and keeps walking. “Too predictable, little one.”
You should be concerned by his razor-sharp reflexes, but it’s difficult to feel anything but annoyance right now. And…respect?
You get up and follow him before you can give yourself a chance to dissect that.
König was right. This is dull.
At first, the concept of receiving petitioners seemed like an amusing prospect. But in practice, it’s all politics and people complaining about taxes.
You entertain yourself by watching König. He seems just as bored, if not more, as you. He appears to be intrigued by your dagger: examining it, testing the edge, handling the heft.
Some man is talking animatedly with his hands, bemoaning some property dispute with his neighbor. You’re sure that if König rolls his eyes any harder into the back of his skull, he’ll go pigeon-eyed. Admirably, he manages to push through—if it had been you, you would have just told the man to get out and stop wasting your time. As loathe as you are to admit it, König is a good leader.
“Alright, we’re done here. Tell them to go home,” König says, dismissing everyone with a flick of his wrist. The guards begin to push the doors closed when one last man runs in, near crazed, and throws himself on the floor, babbling incoherently.
“What is the meaning of this?” König demands, immediately standing up. The guards begin to approach the man, hands on swords.
“Wait! Please, your majesty, I beg of you,” the man pleads. “I have journeyed many days to come here and beseech your aid.”
König heaves a sigh. “Spit it out then.”
“Thank you, my king,” the man pants, pushing himself up to a standing position. “There’s a beast. In the south.”
“A beast?”
“It’s ravaging the countryside. It follows the flocks, but it doesn’t eat them. It’s…” The man swallows hard. He looks weary, run ragged no doubt by his arduous journey to the capital. “It’s taking our children, sir.”
König’s eyes narrow. “And you haven’t attempted to track it down yourself?”
“We’ve tried, your majesty. Our most skilled hunters have gone after it.” The man sways unsteadily on his feet. “None of them have come back.”
“Has anyone laid eyes on it? Is it a wolf?”
“None who have seen it have returned to tell the tale.”
König leans back, looking contemplative. One of his advisors speaks. “We’ve received reports about this already, sire. We’ve dispatched soldiers already but had no luck.”
The man shakes his head frantically. “It doesn’t leave anyone behind to tell the tale, sir. Not many people dare to go into the woods anymore, and the ones that do…they don’t come back right.”
“How so.”
The man’s voice betrays his naked fear, trembling. “They go mad, sir. Some think…some think it’s the fae’s doing.”
That seems to finally get König’s interest. He leans forward, his entire demeanor stiffening. A hush falls over the people gathered as the man invokes the fair folk’s name.
Everybody knows the fae exist. In hushed whispers, people tell the old stories: of when the fair folk lived among men and ruled over them with cruelty and trickery. There are some forests people know to stay out of. And when a newborn babe fusses just a bit too much, or a child grows up a little too quiet, the rumors fly in secret.
The fae are cruel, beautiful, and nearly impossible for a mortal to kill. If they’re involved in this matter with the beast, then that village is as good as dead.
Before König can say anything, the man fidgets and turns. You watch as his attention lands on you, eyes widening. Something his gaze becomes unfocused, misty, his chest beginning to heave as he visibly panics.
“You…they’re here…THEY’RE HERE!” With a crazed look on his face, the man lunges towards you, moving at a threatening speed. Your hand goes instinctively to your hidden sheathe, but your fingers close around air. Shit! König still has your dagger. You brace to defend yourself as the man draws even closer—
Like a deadly blur, König is on the man in an instant. The force of him knocks you backwards, watching in shock as König subdues the screaming, flailing man with cold, expert precision.
As if in slow motion, you watch with a mixture of horror and fascination as he turns to look at you. His eyes, usually a tranquil pale green, are blue. Vivid blue, with an unearthly glow to them that makes you wonder if you’re hallucinating. You feel like a butterfly pinned to cork by that stare, simultaneously trapped and admired.
He blinks, once, and his eyes are green again.
With what looks like no effort at all, he turns the man on his stomach and pins his arms behind him as he struggles and hollers. “Put this one in a cell,” he says with a deep growl. “We’ll see what he has to say for himself when he’s in his right mind again. If he ever is.” The guards rush forward to haul the man away as König stands back up.
He gives the rest of the room a cursory glance. “Well? Back to your duties.”
The gawking staff quickly gather themselves and scatter. König claps his hands together as if dusting off some nuisance.
“…Why did you do that?” You ask, unable to help yourself.
He gives you a skeptical look. “Why did I defend my queen from an attacker?”
You take a deep breath. Gods preserve you. “I’m not your anything.”
“Technically untrue. You are my wife, which makes you the queen.” He strides over to you and offers you your dagger, holding the blade so you can grab the hilt.
Its weight soothes you as you put it back into its rightful place. “I don’t understand.”
“I’ve already said I have no intention of killing you. Besides, it wouldn’t look good for me if I allowed you to be attacked in your own home.”
This isn’t my home, you almost say, but stop yourself. You’re starting to sound too much like a whining child, and you don’t like it.
You surprise the both of you with what comes out of your mouth next. “Thank you.”
He’s looking at you that way again, like you’re a puzzle he’s trying to solve. “You’re welcome.” He averts his eyes, hesitating for a moment like he wants to say more. Then he evidently thinks better of it and strides away from you.
“My lady!” Calliope rushes forward, concern written all over her face. “Are you alright?”
“Yes, just…shaken,” you say, still watching König leave. “I’m fine.”
“Simply outrageous. I can’t believe none of the guards got to that man in time,” she fumes, fussing over you in her way.
“Yes, well. König got here in time. So no harm was done.”
Calliope follows your gaze, eyes narrowing at König’s retreating backside just as he turns the corner and vanishes from sight. “I don’t like that one.”
“Neither do I,” you snort.
“No, pet. Listen to me.” Startled, you turn to look at her. You haven’t heard her take on this tone in quite a while: the last time was when you had broken your wrist trying to scale one of the abandoned towers back home. You can’t quite recall why you had been trying to do that, but you do remember the worried look on her face, and the sternness of her words.
“He’s not right,” she says. “Something’s wrong about him.”
It’s a foregone conclusion to say that König is no ordinary man, but something about the furrow of Calliope’s brow tells you that more is happening here than she’s letting on. “Are you going to elaborate?”
A strange look passes over her face, like a cloud briefly blocking the sun. “No.”
You wait for a few moments before nodding. Whatever it is, you trust her to know what’s best. “I see. Though I didn’t need a warning on how dangerous he is, you know.”
“You are a smart girl,” she says wistfully, straightening your ruffled clothes a bit. “But there are some things that are not for you to understand.”
“I have to understand, if I’m to kill him.”
She frowns. “I think you should put that out of your mind for now.”
“What?”
“I mean, you may have to play a longer game with this one. There’s too much we don’t know.”
You open your mouth, then close it. She’s right. There was something bone-chilling about the way he looked at you just now, but instead of feeling afraid, you feel something different. Curiosity. Fascination.
Not for the first time—or the last—you feel drawn to him.
König’s been antsy lately.
You’ve gotten quite good at reading his moods, even when he’s wearing the hood. The rest of his body betrays him: his shoulders are tense, and his fingers are constantly toying with a phantom knife. He prefers to be fidgeting with an actual one, but it tends to make him too intimidating for that to be practical.
You’ve taken Calliope’s advice and taken to studying your target rather than trying to end him and be done with it. There’s a lot to notice, which is surprising: you’d taken him for some mindless hulking brute upon first impression. It’s clear that he’s intelligent, with a cunning quickness to his thinking that both impresses and chills you.
Shame he’s still as much of a raging pervert as he was in the beginning, though.
“You know, I wasn’t sure about you in pants at first, but now I think you should wear them more often,” he says, surprising you during target practice. He startles you enough to throw your shot off, the arrow clattering uselessly to the ground below the target.
“Can I help you?” you demand, giving him a venomous side eye.
“Not at all, princess. Just admiring the view.” He leans against a nearby post, watching your confused expression. It takes him shifting his gaze downward for you to realize what he means.
“Ugh!” Without hesitation, you nock another arrow and shoot it at him, aiming right between his eyes. He dodges it, of course.
“You can’t expect me to marry a pretty woman and not look at her,” he says smugly.
It’s an unfamiliar situation, being desired. You don’t have much experience with this sort of thing: not only are you the king’s daughter, but you tend to give off a chilly, hyper-competent aura that keeps men with fragile egos away from you. You’ve only had one encounter with a man: a shy kiss behind the stables, featherlight touches that sent tingles through your whole body.
König has never touched you, but the way he looks at you is enough to make you blush. You should be indignant, but instead you find you don’t mind all that much.
“Why are you bothering me?” you say instead of responding to what he said.
“Bothering you? I’m hurt,” he says, placing a hand over his heart as if you’ve physically wounded him. “I came to inform you of my departure.”
“Your what?” you ask, gawking at him. “Where are you going?”
“Do you remember that man who came to tell us about the beast?”
“You mean the man who attacked me? I’d forgotten,” you say drily.
“Your wit is as alluring as ever,” he responds. “I’ve decided to enlist the help of the most competent man I know to deal with the threat.”
“And who would that be?”
“Me, of course.”
You shoot him a confused look. “You’re leaving to deal with something personally?”
“It’s too perilous of a problem to continue throwing my men at,” he says, taking on a more serious tone. He’s toying with a knife again: a hefty, aggressive-looking thing with a jagged edge. “If you want something done, you need to do it yourself. Or at least lay eyes on the problem yourself.”
“You’re not worried at all about dying and leaving your throne empty?” you ask disbelievingly. This is beyond reckless, verging on foolish.
“Don’t start,” he sighs. “I just got out of a hours-long meeting with my advisors. Anything you could say to me, they’ve already told me a dozen times. It won’t change my mind.” One look at him tells you he’s dead serious, and won’t be persuaded otherwise.
“Well, when do we leave?”
“We?”
“Yes, of course. I’m coming with you,” you say, puzzled at his confusion.
“You are not.”
“Yes, I am.”
“It’s too dangerous. And besides, the journey won’t be pleasant. I’ll be traveling without guards or servants.”
“Why on earth not?”
“Too much of a hassle. I’ll get there faster if I’m traveling alone. Emphasis on alone. Besides, I would prefer not to be sending any innocents to their deaths.”
“You’ll need someone to watch your back.”
“And you think you qualify?”
“Yes!”
He chuckles at your indignant tone. “With all due respect, my queen, I doubt you could take care of yourself out there, much less be of use to me.”
You wish he wouldn’t call you that. It makes your chest feel strange. Which isn’t helpful when you’re getting mad at him for doubting your competence.
“If you go alone, you might not come back,” you retort. “If I come with you, I can ensure you don’t come back.”
He looks at you, startled, and proceeds to let out a hearty laugh. “You are full of surprises,” he says. “It won’t be like a vacation, you know. We’ll have to travel light.”
“I can handle that.”
“I’m sure you can. The question is, can you handle whatever beast those villagers are so worried about? You may not worry about my wellbeing, but I would worry about your own first.”
“You don’t think I can hold my own?”
“To be honest? No.”
“Then let me prove myself.” You step right up to him, so close that your face is nearly pressed to his chest. God, he’s so big. And broad— “Let me show you I can hold my own in a fight.”
A sly smile crosses his face. “Alright. Let’s spar.”
You blink. “Excuse me?”
“Let’s. Spar.”
“You want me to fight you?”
“What were you expecting?”
“That’s not a fair fight.”
“You came here to kill me.”
“Assassinations don’t usually happen during prearranged one-on-one fights.”
“Touché. But I’m not asking you to beat me. If I think you’re competent, then you can come along.”
“This is ridiculous.”
“I actively do not want you to join me, mind you.”
You let out a quick, angry breath through your nose. Infuriating. “Fine. I’ll do it.”
“Excellent. I’ll see you after lunch, then.”
You turn away from him and trudge over to a tree to pick up some fallen arrows. “What’s the rush? Are you leaving so soon?”
“Tomorrow morning, in fact. Just before dawn.”
“I can wake up that early.”
“No need to put the horse before the carriage here. If you’re going.”
“I’m not concerned.” You bend down to pick a few arrows out of some scrappy tough grass, and when you straighten, König is right there, looming over you like a threatening shadow.
“What—” You gasp as the knife König was fiddling with rushes past your face and embeds itself in the tree trunk behind you.
“I don’t think this is quite getting through to you, so I’ll only say this once,” he mutters darkly, leaning over you to whisper directly into your ear, his hand firmly gripping the knife above your head. “You have nothing to prove to me, and I don’t know what you’re trying to do by insisting you come with me. If you change your mind now, we need not speak about this again.”
You glare up at him. “You’re not going to change my mind. And it’s quite suspicious that you’re trying to.”
“Is it really so difficult to believe that I’m concerned for your welfare?”
You don’t understand him. Being this close to him isn’t helping you think straight, either. There’s no other way to describe it, but it’s almost like you can feel the intensity radiating off him. He smells like pine needles and lye, and some distinctly manly musk that you don’t dislike. And when he’s up close like this, you can see every detail of his eyes, the green streaked with blue and brown.
“It would be easier if you weren’t,” you whisper.
He snorts. “Don’t I know it.” Before you can process what the hell he means by that, he’s pulling his knife out of the tree and stalking off, suddenly in some sulky mood.
You stare at the deep mark left in the bark, wondering what just happened.
“Again,” calls the swordsmaster.
You scramble to your feet, exhausted and sore. “This isn’t fair,” you whine. You’re twelve years old, and the man who’s been teaching you how to fight has just dropped you for what feels like the millionth time in a row.
“How so?”
“You’re bigger than me!” you pout. “And far stronger.”
“That isn’t always an advantage, you know,” he says, doing a flourish with his practice sword that you vow right there and then to master someday.
“How? That’s all fighting is. It’s just big people beating up the little people.”
“Being smaller just means you have to be nimbler.” He gestures for you to come at him again. “Don’t focus on trying to hit me in the chest. Use your size to your advantage and focus on weak points.”
You brandish the practice sword again and ground yourself, steeling yourself with a deep breath before charging. You go for the knees, smacking them so hard that they buckle, bringing your instructor down with a shout.
“I did it!” you beam proudly.
“A little unorthodox, but the job is done,” he pants. “Remember, there is no decorum when you are fighting for your life. It is imperative you intuit your enemy’s weak points and exploit them. Even the strongest enemy can be brought low.”
You nod with determination. “Always go for the knees.” That draws a laugh out of your instructor.
There’s something deeply unnerving about the way this man moves.
König is so big, but he doesn’t move like it. The way he paces reminds you of a big cat: all intimidation and quiet, deadly strength on light feet.
“I’ll let you make the first move,” he says with a crooked smile. He looks deliciously rumpled, the sleeves of his shirt pushed to his elbows. You’re only looking at the swell of his biceps for tactical reasons, of course. Of course.
“How generous,” you reply. Without hesitation, you lunge at him.
He’s ready for you, of course. He matches you hit for hit, parrying you effortlessly. If you thought he was fast before, there’s something downright inhuman about it now. You doubt he’s even breaking a sweat.
He pushes you back, sliding on your feet a little. “Do you seriously have one hand behind your back right now?” you hiss.
“You’re as difficult to fend off as a feather,” he shoots back.
It’s like having a conversation, sparring with him. More than just the banter, of course. You trade blows, each unable to move in too closely to the other. He may be strong, but you’re fast. And you can tell you’re wearing him down.
“Getting tired, big boy?” you taunt.
“Of waiting for you to give up? Perhaps,” he grits out. “Don’t try my patience, princess.”
“I want to watch you squirm,” you respond. You watch as König’s eyes widen slightly. You jump at the opportunity, taking advantage of his moment of shock to knock him off balance and pinning him underneath you.
“That wasn’t so hard,” you purr as he pants under you. “Feel familiar?”
“Last time we were in this position, it didn’t end so well for you,” König shoots back. He can say whatever he wants, but you’ve visibly winded him.
“This time, I went for the knees.”
“Oh?”
“You have buttons that are very entertaining to push, your highness.”
“You little—”
It’s quick. One moment he’s pinned underneath you, and another moment some supernatural strength has him rapidly reversing your positions. He catches you off guard, and you spot a flash of blue in his eyes as the wind is knocked out of your lungs.
“Next time you have an enemy pinned like that, finish the job instead of crowing about your victory,” he hisses.
You wheeze a little before shooting him a coy look. “Struck a nerve, did I?”
“You are an infuriating little minx,” he says, visibly frustrated. He stands up, offering you a helping hand.
You take it, springing up with a little bounce to your step. “Well?”
“Well what?”
“Am I coming with you?”
He sighs in consternation. “I suppose you are.”
You give him a little pat on the face. His exposed cheek is warm underneath your palm as he looks at you with an indecipherable expression.
“Glad we sorted that out. See you at dinner,” you say sweetly.
You prance off without a look back. You could use a bath.
MOOOOOOOM THEY'RE FLIRTINGGG
I started out unsure of how this chapter was going to turn out, as it's mostly just setup for the plot to get going. But I ended up having a lot of fun, and some pretty important things are set up in this. I hope you guys enjoyed it! Comments and feedback are of course always appreciated <3

“Remember how I used to be so Stuck in one place, so cold? Feeling like my heart just froze Nowhere to go with no one, nobody” —Magic, TXT
When the weekend comes around, you’re worried that you’ve hallucinated the entire situation, but when Kai knocks on your front door, he looks good. Really good.
“I–I like your outfit,” you say, taking note of the details. “It’s different from how you usually dress.”
“Yeonjun helped me pick stuff out. He said you’d like this.” Kai spins, allowing you to take in the full ensemble. He’s ditched his usual skater boy attire for a button down, slacks, and a chocolate brown wool coat that matches the color of his eyes.
“You didn’t have to dress up for me,” you say, shaking your head.
“Of course I did. You’re the coolest looking person I know.” Has he always thought that? “I don’t know how you do it every day, though. We probably spent hours picking out just this one look.”
“Every Sunday, I plan my outfits for the week. Sometimes it takes the whole day if I’m not feeling too creative.”
“That sounds stressful.”
“It is.”
“Why do you do it, then? I mean, you always look good, but does it make you feel good?”
You blink back at him. Nobody has ever asked you anything like this. You have no idea how to respond.
Kai can tell that he’s struck a nerve. “Sorry. I just meant that if it stresses you out, you shouldn’t feel pressured to do it all the time. There’s a lot to like about you besides how you dress.”
“Right. Should we get going?” you ask, fiddling with the hem of your cardigan. Suddenly you feel overdressed.
“Let’s do it,” he smiles.
All you can think about on the walk over to the concert hall is whether or not this is a date. It feels like a date. He’s dressed like it’s one.
He said he wanted to be friends, you remind yourself. Still, when he accidentally drifts close to you and your shoulders brush, you can feel your face heat up.
You sit together on the steps of the concert hall, people watching and pointing out your favorite and least favorite outfits.
“I like her hat,” Kai says, pointing to a toddler walking hand in hand with her mom. She’s wearing a fluffy beanie with bear ears.
“Maybe I can convince the team to let you wear one on stage,” you think out loud. “It would be really cute for a concert.”
“That would be so awesome, Y/N! But I don’t want you to think about work right now. Let’s just have fun today.”
“I’m always thinking about work,” you admit. “I’ve thought about clothes every second of my life for what seems like forever now.”
“You aren’t that old,” he points out.
“I’m one year older than you,” you remind him. He skipped the birthday party that Yeonjun threw for you last winter.
“Okay, I take it back,” he surrenders. “You’re old and should look into retirement soon.”
You know he’s just joking, but you can’t help but think that he’s right. Maybe you shouldn’t focus so much on what everybody is wearing all the time, yourself included.
“Y/N,” Kai says, snapping you out of your thoughts. You jerk your head up.
“I used to play in an orchestra,” you blurt out, instantly regretting answering a question that was never asked. Still, you have Kai’s full attention, and the point of this is for the two of you to get to know each other. “I, uh, I played the viola, but I wasn’t very good at it.”
“That’s so cool! I play the piano!” You already know that. Everybody does, but you appreciate how he seems to have forgotten that he’s world famous. “We should do a duet sometime! MOA would love it.”
“Uh, I’m not sure MOA would love seeing you with a girl,” you deflect. You’ve seen what dating scandals can do to someone’s career.
“Yeah, you’re probably right,” he agrees. You watch the cogs inside his head spin before a lightbulb goes off. “Maybe we can set Taehyun up with a fake one on Academy Reincarnation and you can play in the background. ”
“That… actually sounds pretty funny.”
“Ooh, Y/N, thinks I’m funny,” he muses, before turning away to face the busy square. “Seoul! Y/N thinks I’m funny!”
“Shh!” you laugh, cupping your hand over his mouth. You are not mentally prepared to deal with any crazed fangirls tonight. “We have to go inside, now.”
Before you can overthink it, Kai grabs your hand and the two of you rush inside, greeted by marble floors and draped velvets. It’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen.
“Wow,” you sigh, taking the entire lobby in. “You know, I haven’t been here since I was a little girl. My mom would bring me here all the time. She played the piano like you. I always wanted to take after her, but I have trouble forming chords.”
“I can give you lessons, if you want,” he offers. “I have a keyboard in my room back at home.”
“I’d like that,” you smile back. You try not to read too much into being invited into his bedroom.
“Why don’t you and your mom go to concerts anymore?” Kai asks, hoping that it isn’t too personal a question. His anxiety grows exponentially as you take your time responding.
“She passed away when I was nine,” you say calmly. It doesn’t hurt you to tell people anymore. “I wanted to come because today is actually her birthday. My dad is really sensitive about it, though, so it was just going to be me. But I’m really glad you’re here.”
“Oh… Y/N, I’m really sorry. I didn’t know. I don’t know what I’d do without my mom.” He stares at his shoes, guilt written all over his face. “I could’ve made things more special for you.”
“Don’t worry, Kai. It already is special,” you say, squeezing his hand in reassurance. “My mom would probably be happy to see me coming here with someone who loves the piano just as much as she did.”
His face relaxes again, and he does very little to stop himself from grinning ear to ear.
After you take your seats in the back of the balcony and the lights begin to dim, a strange sense of calm overtakes you.
Despite being in a crowd of strangers, sitting next to Kai in the dark and listening to the hum of strings as they warm up makes you feel like you’re the only two people in the world.
Midway through the concert, you realize he’s still holding your hand. Maybe he’s like this with all of his friends, considering you’ve seen him and Soobin skipping down the halls hand in hand on multiple occasions. Still, you hope he never lets go.
—————-
Even though it’s technically your job, it’s a rare occasion where you actually get to dress the boys. Today, all hands are on deck for the filming of their upcoming album’s concept trailer.
“I can’t believe they’re making you wear a white sweater,” you sigh, holding up Kai’s outfit for the Dreamer sequence. “Everybody else gets such cute colors.”
“At least I get to stand out,” he grins, always looking on the bright side. He’s already got on his eyepatch, but it’s a little crooked. You walk over to fix it.
“Hold still,” you say, adjusting it into place and smoothing his hair down. “There we go.”
“Was I better this time?” he asks. You look up at him in confusion.
“What?” His face is so close to yours that you can feel his breath.
“I didn’t move this time. That night at the club,” he explains, “Well, you were telling me the story of when we first met. How I flinched and walked away and it hurt your feelings.”
“Oh. Yeah, you were much better this time.”
“I’m glad. I’ll try to be good for you, Y/N. I’m really sorry about before. I feel like I really wasted our time being so… weird. We could’ve been friends much earlier.”
“It’s okay, Kai, really,” you say, stepping back and handing him his sweater.
“It’s not, Y/N. It was silly of me to be so nervous around you.”
“You were nervous?”
“I guess you don’t remember that part of the conversation either, huh?” he asks, pulling his t-shirt off. You’ve seen the rest of the group shirtless before, but Kai usually goes into the bathroom to change whenever you’re around.
Your cheeks flush as you stare at his smooth skin and his broad shoulders.
“Uh, Y/N?” he says. While you were checking him out, Kai managed to get himself stuck. “I think my shirt is caught on my necklace. Can you help?”
“Yeah, yeah, sorry,” you say, working gently to untangle the fabric around his neck. You can feel how warm his chest is, reminding you of riding in the taxi on his lap. Eventually, you’re able to get him freed.
“Thank you,” Kai smiles. “I’m really glad you’re here. Everybody else is always rushing me.”
“I might get in trouble if you don’t hurry up, Hyuka.” You’ve never called him by a nickname before. It’s foreign to think about, but somehow rolls naturally off your tongue.
“Fine, okay, I’m ready,” he says, pulling the sweater on. The color actually compliments him really well. “Do you need to add any finishing touches?”
“Hmm, spin around,” you say, twirling your finger. Kai does his signature penguin stance and waddles in a circle, making you giggle. “No, you look cute.”
Your eyes widen as you realize what you’ve just said.
“You think I’m cute,” he smiles, doing a little happy dance. “Ooh, I’m the cutest boy in the world, huh?”
“Hey! I said you look cute,” you assert, crossing your arms in an attempt to play it off. He’s right, but you don’t want him to know that.
“Close enough,” he says, grabbing his crown off of the makeup table. “I should go. I’ll see you later. You’re the best!”
He pulls you into a hug, nearly lifting you off the ground. When you’re back on your feet, he presses a quick kiss to your cheek and leaves the dressing room. Yeonjun does it all the time, but it feels different coming from Kai.
Your hand moves to your cheek, lingering on the spot where his lips touched. Fuck. You might actually be falling for Huening Kai.
—————-
For the past two months, you and Kai have alternated picking out activities to do together. Last week, you taught him how to make banana bread. He almost set your apartment on fire.
Today, he’s invited you to his place to practice playing the piano.
You’re more nervous than you need to be. It’s your first time in his bedroom, but it’s completely innocent.
Except when you’re sitting on the piano bench together, knees and shoulders pressed against each other, and he’s got his hands placed over yours to help guide you, you feel butterflies in your stomach. That’s not how people who are just friends feel.
You’ve come too far to throw it all away over a stupid crush. He’s simply much too out of your league. Still, while he’s busy explaining chord progressions, you’re staring at how long his eyelashes are and how cute he looks when he’s wearing his glasses.
“Are you even listening to me?” Kai asks, pouting. “I thought you wanted to learn, Y/N!”
“I do!” you lie. “I am very interested in what you’re saying right now.”
“What did I even say?” He crosses his arms and furrows his brow in fake anger.
“Um…” you start. You know you’ve been caught. “I’m sorry. I was distracted.”
His face shifts to worry. “Is something wrong?”
“No! Nothing’s wrong. Let’s keep going,” you say, flipping through his binder of sheet music. “Oh, I love this song!”
You had never expected him to have the piano score to Night Changes by One Direction, but you aren’t complaining. In a way, TXT’s dynamic reminds you a lot of the long gone boy group.
“This song is kind of like us,” he notes. You shoot him a confused look. It’s a love song, after all.
“What do you mean by that?” you ask, your palms now sweaty.
“I just think it’s kind of crazy how things changed between us.” That’s not really what the song is about, but you’re not going to tell him that. “I’m glad we’re friends now.”
“Oh, yeah, super crazy,” you say, exhaling. “I’m glad we’re friends too.”
“Y/N?” he asks, his face close to yours. Is he about to do what you think he is?
“Yes?”
“You have an eyelash on your face.” He brushes a finger across your cheek and holds up the lost lash with a smile. “Make a wish.”
You blow it away, vowing to never let him know that what you asked for was him.
“I have to tell you something,” you confess. “I don’t actually want to learn how to play the piano. I’d rather just listen to you play.”
“Oh,” he says, pleasantly surprised. “I can do that. Should I serenade you, too, m’lady?”
“Yes, please,” you giggle. His goofy side is such a nice departure from the gloomy, quiet Kai you were used to.
You’ve heard this song probably hundreds of times, but Kai’s version feels brand new. As you watch his fingers dance across the keys and listen to his soft voice, the lyrics begin to seem like they were written just for the two of you.

Can you do vaggie x rainbow dash-like reader plantoic headcanons?
Haha! Aww! I like this mix as well. Rainbow Dash is really a good pairing for Vaggie, isn’t she? Well. We had Charlie and Pinkie as besties, Alastor and Rarity as a couple, Husk and Fluttershy as a married couple! Let’s check this out! This is the first time I’ve written for Vaggie too! Once again, short~!
Vaggie- Bolt Spear
Now. Vaggie doesn’t trust people that easily, she doesn’t and with her big… holy secret, she especially doesn’t open up or try be friendly with anybody, except her beloved girlfriend, Charlie. She hasn’t even told Charlie her secret. Though, she is willing to tolerate people for Charlie’s sake
Vaggie, at first, didn’t like you at all. You were so loud and cocky and spunky and overconfident, you reminded her of Alastor in a weird way but due to Charlie’s pushing, she had begun to try tolerate and befriend you
It wasn’t something she enjoyed, Vaggie disliked how you behaved. Kinda arrogant, always flying that she almost asked why you even have legs. Whilst, she respected your great athleticism and your interesting ability to produce a rainbow-coloured sonic boom wave through flying. She didn’t give you any compliments
However. Vaggie ends up further befriending you, the more she holds you in the Hotel, originally at Charlie’s wish but gradually. Getting to know you goes from her just wanting to please Charlie to genuinely finding you unique and interesting
But. Vaggie isn’t good at making friends so the way she approaches you to befriend you includes a lot of trail and error, passive-aggressiveness, her throwing friendship signs like Charlie’s suggested matching bracelets at you and thinking it will work
What’s Vaggie like as a bestie? Actually. She’s a very good open ear, she listens quietly then she tries to offer support or advice to help you. She remembers a lot about you, remembers your flying habits and she doesn’t mind attending your sport tournaments. She is still tough but is willing to be a bit more gentle and understanding
Vaggie does express any annoyance she has with you, even as your closest friend. If you’re being too difficult for her, too bold and prideful. She’ll simmer you down. She’s the rationality of your friendship and the one keeping you anchored so you don’t do something stupid or reckless, out of your own extreme confidence
Yes, Vaggie comes to you during the relationship halter she has with Charlie, when everything begins to go downhill and she is revealed to be an Angel from Heaven… well. You kinda thought she was different but you didn’t really point it out. Now, that you know the truth, you aren’t as mad as everybody else is… like, at least, she isn’t a killer anymore
Vaggie is shocked that you even gave her chance but that you did, not only does she feel more comfortable with trying to confide to you… when she can, she just needs some time and she is honestly quite surprised that you’re willing to back off and wait for her
Vaggie is loyal to her girlfriend and now her best friend so trust me when I say that you reciprocating her loyalty, but to an even bigger degree. She’s grateful that she has a reliable friend and that she knows you won’t cross her, and that she has chose the right person to try be close with
Vaggie is also kinda like your manager. She takes care of you, she makes sure you don’t push yourself too far. She isn’t as intense with her care as she is with Charlie but you’re very important to her so don’t worry, you aren’t forgotten. You’re still her bestie
You two help each other. Believe it or not, you help her understand emotions and express them more whilst she teaches you to always be honest and not be fearful of disappointing your friends
Are you helping Vaggie grow? Yes. Piece by piece, hence why she prefers to be around you when she isn’t with Charlie and for that, the contrasting yet somewhat similar personalities you both share, makes you two very close and you’ve managed to break through this golden-heart angelic toughie!
By the way, she is your Applejack, the one you playfully compete with but is very close friends with~!
“Wait… you’re… still here? But. I thought you’d just— this is very dangerous. You want to stay here with us? Hehee, I guess I shouldn’t suspect anything less from you”

🚩🚩this is a reminder how NOT to talk to a feedee - or anybody
for context, we’d spoken a few months ago and i thought his advice would be helpful but it quickly became intense and made me uncomfortable. i told him this but he didn’t apologise or stop so i avoided his messages. this morning i immediately regretted responding, having forgotten his tumblr name. please read the screenshots.
unsurprisingly, he didn’t apologise and again continued to be pushy and even blame me for my irl circumstances, without knowing anything about me - this really upset me. perhaps some people enjoy being controlled this way, but regardless, please DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTROL MY LIFE OR ANYONE ELSES WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT.
whether on a fetish site or irl, it is not ok to talk to people like this. NO MEANS NO. this is the first person i’ve had to block since joining the feedist community, so it is rare in my experience but proves does happen.
if you’d like to know this person’s username so you can block/avoid them then please message me and i’ll send it to you.

instead of you [party twenty-eight] || l.mh
pairing: [best friend’s brother] lee minho x college!reader ft. han jisung
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, mentions of sex (mdni)
word count: 3.6k
a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
series masterlist | early access to the next chapter on ko-fi
Jisung was waiting on the bed when you made it back to your room. He raised his eyebrows expectantly when you came into view.
“So where were you?” he asked.
All you’d responded to his text with was be right there, not giving him an answer of any sort. You had tried to buy yourself time to come up with an excuse for why you weren’t in the room yourself, but that had evidently backfired on you since you still had nothing. You’d tied your wet hair back in the hopes of making it look less obvious that you had just taken a shower since you were still wearing your dirty clothes, but that was honestly the least of your worries
“I was with Minho,” you answered, figuring a half-truth was better than a full lie.
“Doing what?”
“He felt bad for me, I guess. Didn’t want me to be alone so he invited me to hang out.”
Jisung seemed to buy it, but he still looked confused. “You know you didn’t have to say yes, right?”
You rolled your eyes at him. “I know. I said yes because I wanted to. Your brothers can be fun to be around.”
“I guess,” he murmured.
“Not as fun as you, don’t worry,” you reassured him.
“I wasn’t worried!”
“Sure you weren’t.”
He brushes you off by shaking his head in denial before changing the subject. “Anyway, did you guys eat? Are you hungry?”
“I could eat.”
“I think there’s a place down the street that’s still open where we could go grab some soup, if you’re feeling up for it.”
“Sure, but didn’t you already eat with Felix?”
“Yeah, I was just gonna tag along so you could have some company.”
“You don’t have to do that.”
“It’s not like I’ve got anything better to do.”
The streets were unsurprisingly empty. It was strange to see the wide sidewalks devoid of all of the foot traffic you had grown accustomed to in big cities like this. The restaurant Jisung had mentioned was a little hole-in-the-wall noodle shop squished in between department stores. A flickering neon sign hanging in the window above the door was the only indication that it was still open and you still hesitated before pushing open the door, just in case it was actually closed and they had forgotten to turn off the sign.
It was about as busy as you’d expected. There were couples and groups of friends scattered throughout the room, all grabbing a quick bite to eat at the only place whose kitchen was still open at the late hour.
Everyone else was dressed to go out and you were still wearing your stupid Han Family Vacation t-shirt. Jisung had put on a hoodie over his so at least you weren’t matching.
He helped you order from the English menu and then picked a booth for you both in the back of the restaurant.
“Thanks for this,” you sighed, holding up the receipt and gesturing to the place.
“Least I could do after ditching you.”
“You didn’t ditch me, Ji. I had to practically beg you to go to that thing with Felix.”
“Yeah, yeah whatever.”
“You’re so stubborn!” you scoffed, rolling your eyes.
“Why do you think we’re best friends?”
“Because you didn’t know anybody when you started school and I was the first sorry sucker that you stumbled across.”
It was his turn to roll his eyes. “Shut up.”
You tried to kick him underneath the table but he saw it coming and moved his leg before your foot could make contact.
“Nice try.”
A server delivered your soup shortly after the kicking incident and dropped off a plate of dumplings as well. You almost told them you didn’t order them, but Jisung simply thanked them and slid the plate over to his side of the table.
“I thought you already ate,” you mumbled in confusion.
“I did but that was hours ago,” he responded defensively. “And I know you hate eating alone.”
You smiled gratefully and leaned down to slurp up some of the broth from your miso soup. It burned your tongue a little, but you still managed to swallow it. Soup was best piping hot anyway- unless of course, it’s a fruit bisque or gazpacho, but that’s a different story.
When soup is hot, you can feel it warming you from the inside out. That’s why everyone eats it when it’s cold outside or when they’re sick with chills. At least, that’s what your mother always told you to get you to eat soup.
The miso soup wasn’t your mother’s chicken noodle that was actually from a can, but it still comforted you the same. Your cramps had already subsided from the medicine you took… and from the orgasm Minho had given you, but food also soothed the ache.
“Want a dumpling?” Jisung offered, holding one of the wontons out to you with his chopsticks.
You opened your mouth as an answer and he fed it to you, nearly dropping it into your soup in the process.
“Pretty good, right?” he asked.
“Very good,” you agreed.
Once you were both done you cleared your bowls and set them in the bin by the door, thanking the cashier again before letting yourselves out. You were in no rush to get back to the hotel, but you did have to get up early the next day to get everything on the itinerary done before your flight in the evening.
You took another shower when you made it back to your room, saving yourself the trouble of lying to Jisung again. You needed to get the fried food smell out of your hair anyway.
You crawled into bed after trading the shower with Jisung, willing yourself to fall asleep before he was done so that you wouldn’t have to lie awake next to him feeling guilty like you had the night prior.
It must have worked because the next time you opened your eyes it was light outside. It was your alarm, not the sunlight, that had woken you up though. You rolled over with a groan to shut it off, noticing you had a couple of texts from Minho. Jisung was waking up next to you so you ignored them, turning your phone face down on the bedside table just in case he looked over.
“Ready for another day of family fun?” he groaned.
“Always.”
You got ready together and packed the rest of your things in your suitcase. Since you were only in Beijing for a couple of days, you hadn’t really made the effort to unpack. Everything was easily stuffed back into your luggage in a matter of minutes. You helped Jisung with his while he brushed his teeth. He had always been slow to get ready.
Despite your best friend’s speed or lack thereof, you and Jisung were the first ones down in the lobby. The rest of his family members trickled in slowly. First Felix, then Minho, and finally his parents.
You checked your bags with a luggage storage facility a block or so from the hotel so that you could walk around the city without worrying about it. The service was actually quite cheap and came with an option to insure your items just in case anything were to happen to them. You didn’t have anything valuable in your belongings aside from your laptop, but even that wasn’t anything crazy expensive. You couldn’t say the same of the rest of the Hans. Minho’s backpack alone was some fancy brand you didn’t recognize. Dom paid the extra fee for the insurance and herded everyone outside so that you could make it to the Forbidden City before scrambling to the airport.
-
You’d think with how much traveling you’d been doing in the past month that you’d be used to the chaos of airport security and customs but somehow you were still caught off guard by the TSA agents randomly selecting you to be searched.
“Fucking again?” you muttered to yourself as they pulled you aside.
“You’re just lucky, babe,” Jisung said sweetly with a pat on your back.
This time, he waited for you while the rest of the Hans went ahead to the gate. It didn’t take as long since you were the only one from the group that was selected.
“They’re about to start boarding, c’mon,” he ushered you through the terminal as soon as you were released, leading you by the hand as you weaved through the crowds. The whole ordeal gave you a strange sense of deja vu.
His parents were waiting by the front desk at the gate. They explained that Felix and Minho had already boarded and that you and Jisung should go ahead and board too while they sorted something out.
“Do you think everything’s okay?” you asked as you scanned your boarding pass.
“I’m sure it’s fine,” he assured you, not sounding entirely confident in the matter.
“I can take the middle seat this time,” you offered, shimmying through the aisle so that you could walk and talk to Jisung at the same time.
“Are you sure? It’s a long flight.”
“I’m sure,” you insisted. “You’ve sat in the middle like every time so far.”
“That’s because I want you to be comfortable.”
“That’s very chivalrous of you.”
“I know, I’m a great boyfriend.”
You rolled your eyes and let Jisung squeeze by to settle into the window seat before sliding in next to him. You made eye contact with Minho as you hovered in the aisle. He was a handful of rows back with Felix and some stranger. He raised two fingers to his eyebrow in a cocky little salute, making you roll your eyes yet again.
Minho’s pick for the family trip was Bali, Indonesia. Unfortunately, there was no direct flight to Bali from Beijing which meant that you’d have to make two connections before finally touching down on the island.
Jisung told you that he picked it because he was a sucker for nostalgia. Apparently, the three of them had visited together a few years ago during one of the tour legs for his backup dancing and had the best time. He had loved it so much that he’d wanted to go back ever since and bring their parents but was so busy that he never had the chance until now.
The seat next to you stayed empty until the very last minute, giving you the false hope that you’d score extra space. It was eventually filled by a girl who looked to be about your age, who greeted you and Jisung politely before sticking her AirPods in her ears and ignoring you entirely.
You could tell that your best friend was into her as soon as he laid eyes on her. She was exactly his type- thick, tall, and she wasn’t giving him an ounce of attention. She checked all of his boxes.
“Keep it in your pants,” you muttered, unsure of whether she could hear you and/or speak English. You didn’t care either way.
“I wasn’t going to do anything,” he shot back defensively.
“Yeah, well your eyes are about to pop out of your head. Dial it back.”
“Shhh!”
“Oh sorry, am I embarrassing you?”
“Yes, kind of.”
“Sucks.”
“You’re the worst wing-woman ever.”
You nudged him subtly with your shoulder. “I’m not a wing-woman, I’m your girlfriend.”
“I know, I know.”
“Then fucking act like it!”
“Yes, dear,” he sighed and laced his fingers with yours.
You leaned over to whisper in his ear. “Maybe she could be our third.”
His eyes widened. “Really?”
“No!”
In all honesty, you wouldn’t mind having a threesome with a stranger, especially if they were as pretty as the woman next to you. It wouldn’t be your first time. But you could never cross that line with your best friend, especially now that you were involved with Minho.
You felt a little guilty for cockblocking him since you were getting laid, by his brother of all people, but there was just no feasible way to make it happen for him.
“Even if you did have enough game to pull her, there’s no way you’d be able to get away with a quickie in between flights.”
You kept glancing at the girl next to you out of fear that she was listening in and totally creeped out and horrified by your conversation about her, but she still had her earbuds in and appeared to have dozed off.
“You don’t know what I’m capable of!”
“Yes, I do! I’ve spent too many nights in your living room being forced to hear what you’re capable of.”
Jisung scoffed at you. “Perv.”
“What part of ‘forced to hear’ didn’t click?”
He glared but didn’t respond. Your whispering was beginning to get heated so you mutually decided to stop talking for the time being so that no one would be able to overhear you. Instead, you just traded increasingly absurd looks until you both got bored.
Jisung was the first to fall asleep, slumping against the wall of the plane in a position that couldn’t be comfortable. He’d forgotten to close the shade of the window so you leaned over and closed it for him so that the setting sun wouldn’t wake him up.
You were about to join him, leaning over to rest your head against his shoulder when your phone buzzed in your back pocket. You weren’t used to receiving notifications on a plane, but the airline you were flying had in-flight service. You had to shift awkwardly in order to reach your pocket and not wake either of the people beside you up.
The message made you want to scoff aloud.
M: is ji asleep?? come to the back ;)
You sat up straight and craned your neck to try and catch Minho’s eye, but his head was down, probably buried in his phone.
Y: what? no.
M: why not
Y: just because he’s asleep doesn’t mean i can come see you for no reason that’d be weird
M: are you just saying that because you’re afraid he’ll wake up?
Y: well yeah kind of
M: he won’t
Y: you don’t know that
M: c’mon, i’ll make it worth your time
Y: can’t you just tell me what this is about
M: but that ruins the surprise :(
Y: what surprise could you possibly have 30,000 feet in the air
Y: and don’t say your dick
M: …
Y: you’re so fucking annoying
M: all i’m saying is i haven’t joined the mile high club yet
Y: this is a commercial flight with your entire family. we’re not fucking on this plane.
M: worth a shot
Y: you’re insufferable
M: you love it
You sighed and put your phone face down in your lap, taking a quick glance to your left to see if Jisung was still asleep. He was still slumped against the wall with his eyes shut, seemingly dead to the world. You tried to do the same but it was hard from the middle seat. You were paranoid that if you were to doze off you’d accidentally lean over onto the stranger next to you. You’d seen enough rom-coms to know how awkward that would be.
You settled on scrolling through the in-flight movies on the little screen attached to the seat in front of you. You’d have to buy a pair of earbuds to watch anything, but you figured it would be worth it if it meant you wouldn’t be bored out of your mind for the next three hours.
There was a mix of Chinese and international films but everything was dubbed in Chinese either way and only a select few offered English subtitles. You picked one that you’d seen a little bit of press for back home and bought the earbuds from a flight attendant when they came around with the snacks.
-
It was late when your first flight landed and everyone was feeling worn out from all the tourism and traveling but you still had two more flights to catch before you’d finally be in Bali. The layover in the Hong Kong airport was two hours and you spent it trying to sleep whilst curled up next to Jisung in one of the stiff leathery chairs in front of the gate. Your exhaustion allowed you to fade in and out of consciousness fairly easily, but you were having trouble staying asleep. Each time you’d drift off you would suddenly jolt awake in a panic, thinking you were late for something.
Every time it happened, Jisung would assure you that he’d wake you up when it was time to board the plane, that you could rest, that they wouldn’t leave without you. Eventually, you gave up on the idea of getting any sleep altogether and resolved to just stay awake until you were on the next flight.
“I know this is the part of the trip where everyone’s getting tired,” Dom had said when you were walking from one side of the Hong Kong airport to the other, “but that’s why we saved the more relaxing destinations for the latter end- so we can all get some rest.”
His words did little to comfort you considering most of your energy was being spent keeping up with all the lies you were telling everyone but you smiled and nodded with the rest of the group anyway, trying to play along as always.
The second flight was about the same length as the first and this time you got the window seat. Jisung sat in the middle with Felix on his right and Minho and their parents filled up the row behind you.
“You should sleep,” Jisung suggested, brushing your hair out of your eyes.
“I’ve been trying to,” you grumbled back, unable to soften the tone of your voice.
You felt bad for snapping at him. He didn’t deserve that. Not after everything else you were doing behind his back.
“Sorry,” you mumbled in apology.
“It’s okay. I know you’re tired,” he assured you, making you feel even guiltier. “Do you want me to rub your head?”
You could only shake your head in response, not trusting yourself to speak. You suddenly felt the overwhelming urge to cry and turned your head towards the wall as your eyes welled up with tears. You didn’t even try to stop it, knowing it would be even more obvious if you did. You knew you wouldn’t be able to hide it from Jisung either, even if he couldn’t see your face. He knew you too well, knew your body language. But he didn’t ask about it, likely not wanting to alert Felix, who was oblivious, that anything was wrong.
Thankfully, the crying exhausted you even more and you were able to fall asleep, only to be woken up again when the flight landed at the second layover stop.
It was a shame that you wouldn’t be able to properly visit Malaysia but at least their airport was pretty nice. It had been several hours since you’d last eaten so Nikki ordered a bunch of food for everyone to share from the only kiosk that was open in the middle of the night. You shared a thing of white rice with Jisung but you didn’t have much of an appetite to try anything else which was a bummer since you didn’t know when you’d have another chance to.
The third and final flight was a few hours later. By then, you’d had a little food and sleep so you weren’t feeling as dramatically miserable as before but the numb feeling of guilt still lingered in your stomach. You assumed that wouldn’t change- not until you came clean to Jisung about… everything. And you couldn’t see yourself doing that any time in the foreseeable future because you were a pussy.
You’d rather end this fling with Minho now and take it to your grave than lose your friendship with Jisung. Was sleeping with someone twice considered a fling? Regardless, you had to end it before you got too attached. You weren’t sure what it was for Minho, but until he said otherwise you would stay under the impression that it was just sex. Again, it didn’t really matter what it was. You just had to put an end to it. You weren’t sure why you thought you could finally give into the sexual tension just because Minho found out you weren’t actually dating his brother but it didn’t matter now. It was too late and you were already suffering the consequences of your actions.
You’d given Jisung the window seat again which left you sandwiched in between him and Minho this time around, and being so close to him was making it difficult not to think about the intimate moments you’d shared with him. Your arms were just barely brushing against the armrest and yet that was the only part of your body that you could feel. He was just so warm that your attention was drawn to wherever your bodies connected- be it your arms, your lips, your thighs… but you couldn’t think about that now. Not when you were trying to cut yourself off from him in order to save your friendship. You wouldn’t have sex with Minho again. You couldn’t.
You were shaken from your thoughts by Minho nudging your shoulder. You gave him a questioning look, wondering what he would have to say to you with your best friend sleeping right there. He leaned over to whisper in your ear, smirking as he did.
“Wanna have sex?”
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!

Being Army Can Be Exhausting
Some Army are going to hate me for this but at this point I don’t care.
First off, I really don’t expect anyone to read this and that’s fine because I expect it.
There seem to be some very blatant rules in being Army that I feel either get misconstrued or are enfrorced with iron fist and if not followed….well are you even Army? I’ve been Army for years but sometimes we can be toxic as all get out.
This of course doesn’t apply to all Army. Get it? Got it? Good. If you’re sensitive, leave. I’m not debating or arguing with anybody.
Now, I’ve made a few notes, walk with me here:
BTS Only!
Yeah, no. I’ve been a K-pop fan for 14 years now and I’ve seen this sentiment come and go. Guess what? It never sticks. While I love BTS, they aren’t the only group to ever exist. It may feel that way to a lot of Army, it’s simply not true. You liking other groups doesn’t make me or you any less Army. Sorry not sorry.
And while I’ve only ever loved two other groups as much as BTS (honestly I don’t see that changing), I’m not cutting off an industry because of some bs If Multi Not Army rule reinforced by some.
Being a Multi is not some grand betrayal to BTS.
Buy Everything, We Must Support!
I simply can’t express how much I disagree with this! You know how many people can’t “afford” to be Army if that’s the case?
This shit is expensive lol. It’s not for the faint of heart. While I’m fortunate to be able to fund my support for them, I very much recognize that it’s not the case for everyone. BigHit drops merchandise almost on the daily! Between BTS, solo endeavors, TinyTan and BT21 our money is vanishing out of our wallets monthly.
Now have I spent a good amount of money on BTS merchandise? Yep! Official and unofficial, I sure have. Even spent a good amount of money on both my BTS tatts. Is what it is. But again, that’s a privilege I recognize. Some Army can only show their support through YouTube streams. Why? They’re free. And I’m sure BTS appreciates them all the same.
The pressure to keep up with other Army financially is enormous and even if you don’t subscribe to that way of thinking, you’ve surely seen it.
“Look at my decked out BTS themed room or apartment!”
“I bought Gucci/LV/Dior because now that BTS are brand ambassadors I have to show my support!”
Good on them but good God. Next thing you know, you’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to keep up and living on ramen packets but it’s okay because…I dunno…Army? No! Get a white T-shirt, a permanent marker, write BTS across the front and call it a day. Again, you’re just as much Army as anyone else.
They’re a Solo! Stone Them!
Shut up!
This is my biggest gripe with this fandom.
They’re a solo, so what? It doesn’t automatically mean that they hate the rest of the group. I know, I’m cool with a few of them. Not all Solos are created equal. You people have turned them on par with Satan and it’s nowhere near that serious.
Sometimes, you gel with one member and one member only. Sorry people, that’s just true for some. Nothing against the other members at all.
And yes yes, they are some extremely problematic solos out there. Not negating that. I specifically talking about the ones that aren’t.
Have I personally been called a solo? No but that’s because I rarely express my views on anything BTS because you will be attacked for it if it’s not the most positive glowing view.
Also the things I’ve seen on X, Instagram, TikTok and here have shown me some of the idiotic reasons people are labled solos. These are the reasons I see the most on my side of these platforms:
“You only post one of two members”
It’s called having biases, have we forgotten about that?
“You only buy music from one member!”
My wallet, my prerogative. I love the group’s music but not all them seperatley. Oooo I said it!
Solo music wise I regularly listen to Joonie, Jimin, Yoongi and Jungkook’s music. I don’t necessarily vibe with Hobi, Tae and Jin’s music. I don’t dislike their music, it’s just not for me. But I do buy the albums in show of support.
“You only watch content with certain members and not others!!”
This goes back to my initial point, sometimes you gel with certain members more than others. I gravitate, like we all do, to certain personalities. It’s just that simple.
There’s also burnout. I can’t watch everything because I do sometimes get sick of them! Love them to Jin’s moon and back but sometimes, I need a break. Get over it!
Live, Laugh, Love, Breathe BTS
No.
We have lives outside of BTS.
We have other interests outside of BTS.
BTS paved the way? I agree but I’m not going to get into Twitter and other social media battles over it. What’s understood doesn’t have to be explained.
BTS have lives outside of BTS. Some of you need to follow suit.
All In All
There’s a certain sub group of Army that try to make the rest of us adhere to what their definition of what Army is. It’s not cool, it’s not fair and it’s out and out toxic. Your willingness to be incredibly overbearing and toxic doesn’t make you more of a fan than the next Army member.
It goes against everything BTS stands for and some of you have lost sight of that.
And I will forever die on that hill.
And if any of these bullets hit you, do yourself a favor and make Joon proud, do better.
