Y'all I used to be a major pervert when I was 14-17 and write "reviews" and "sporks" of real people's fanfiction. Now it was RPF to be fair, but still written by fellow teens who were just very horny for One Direction/Justin Bieber. It came half out of a selfish motivation of wanting to learn from other people's writing mistakes but also a deep-seated and VERY unfounded overconfidence in my own abilities.

Obviously, I have far more respect for fanfic as an artform nowadays, even before I started writing my own, so I don't condone dunking on FREE ART made WITH LOVE by AMATEURS anymore. I was a teen having a dunk-sesh, and I don't actually remember any of the authors finding my blog anyway, so hopefully I didn't hurt anyone's feelings. (And I didn't comment on anything, either.)

HOWEVER.

AI fic is literal garbage slop and not even made with love and not even made by a person. The most dunking you can get out of it is seeing just how much the """author""" thinks is good enough to post, but dunking on it in itself would be more productive and artistic than the what the """author""" put in. Plus, public shaming would hopefully discourage that shit in the future.

BUT. I have shit to do. So this whole post? Completely pointless. A thought experiment. God bless.

There are obvious differences between the humans and the faerie, like their features. Faerie have slimmer more stick like bodies, more sharp ethereal features, animal body parts, and obviously their sharp tipped ears. While humans have softer features, round ears, with plumper curvier bodies and shorter heights. But these differences are showed futher by the way they speak.

Faerie are more inclined to play into figurative language and use more prose like, baroque sentences. This is probably due to their weakness of tongue, the fact that they cannot tell lies. Humans on the other hand speak more modernly, similar to us. Even humans that have lived on faerie in a long time still have some remnants of their former dialect. Take Jude for example, she is often direct and doesn't have as much filler words compared to faerie. Cardan speaks in a more languished fanciful manner, whose word choices often make Jude addled. It really plays up to their differences and I love how subtle it is that the characters speak differently to one another.

Still such a great peek into Belos’s wretched, twisted personality that the person he seemed to get along best with and seemed fondest of and most honest towards, for the longest period of time, was… the Collector.

Belos’s most important companion:

Is a literal child

Is a literal child who will, from Belos’s perspective, never grow up

Doesn’t know anything about what’s going on that Belos doesn’t tell him

Can’t talk to anyone except Belos

Literally incapable of doing anything on their own but sitting around waiting for Belos to come back

Thinks, or has learned to play up the appearance of thinking, that Belos mistreating other people is somehow funny or endearing

While clearly being miserable and traumatized about being trapped for hundreds of years, is not affected by it psychologically in quite the same way a human or human-like being such as a Grimwalker would be, and hence can be neglected and ignored far beyond what any other person Belos has ever met could cope with, while still being able to give technical advice and be an interesting conversationalist

He treats the Collector like a pet or a toy, and the Collector is completely incapable of escaping that situation, and psychologically can’t (and/or can’t bring himself to) even admit that that is their dynamic, and he can get away with it with the Collector in ways he couldn’t with literally any other person. And even then, Belos still threw them away like garbage the second he didn’t need them.

Got bored, so I made a Pokemon card for Eight with hypothetical main team from right to left, top to bottom: Absol, Aegislash, Gallade, Banette, Lucario, and admin's favorite fighting birb Staraptor.

Absol resembles an echa'olm and is a bearer of misfortune much like he is, so that's a given. Aegislash represents his sword in-game as does Gallade, though Gallade is more a representation of his gallant side and hidden honor; Banette is a cute and creepy misunderstood ghost companion that only he would find endearing despite being an entity of pure hatred and may or may not be a stand-in for how he views Jadus. Lucario represents his Echani heritage in being a "fighting" type and a canine, and Staraptor is also a fighting type with a proud and intimidating demeanor that parallels how some used to view him.

TLDR; he's mainly a fighting type trainer with ghost/dark influences. This makes him the exact opposite of an ice-type trainer, who Nosta (being a Chiss) would've been.

In this theoretical Pokemon AU, he would've joined one of those criminal organizations (most likely Team Rocket or Team Galactic if we're trying to find an Empire equivalent) and then later reformed as an inside-agent/Pokemon Ranger, since he has a habit of befriending dark entities you're not supposed to be able to befriend while having no desire to control them.

JauneTrap is a version that Jaune that is more agressive and more inclinated of been the idea that Jaune thinks of himself as killer after what happend to Penny. The Rusted Gentleman is more of the idea of gentleman of the way he talks, physical movements and more things that are associeted to gentlemans.

Despera Drops coming to PC on May 27 - Gematsu

D3 Publisher will release otome visual novel Despera Drops for PC via Steam on May 27, the company announced. It will support English and Japanese language options.

Despera Drops first launched for Switch on November 30, 2023 in Japan, followed by March 6, 2025 worldwide.

The PC version will be available at a 20 percent-off discount until June 10. It will also be available as part of a special bundle featuring the otome visual novel game Nightshade. Pricing was not announced.

Story

Gameplay

Choices – During your escape, you will be forced to make various choices. Your choices will affect the “likability” of the other character and the protagonist’s own “criminality,” which will affect the development of the story and the ending.

Sidecar Part – During the escape, you can choose who will drive the motorcycle on which the main character rides in the sidecar. By choosing your partner, you can discover an unexpected side of them and deepen your bond.

Mission Mode – During the story, you may encounter mission modes that require cooperation from all your allies, such as stealing important items or escaping from a building. In mission mode, you will watch footage from six separate security cameras and give appropriate instructions to your allies according to the situation to lead the mission to success.

Characters

Ash Meyer (voiced by Ryota Suzuki) – A young man who abandoned his hometown, and is always on the move from place to place. He prefers to be alone, and does his best to avoid speaking to others. The quiet lone wolf. Due to his surly appearance, he’s constantly getting involved in fights, leading a life of never ending violence. He likes to drive vehicles, and has a particularly strong attachment to motorcycles. He has amazing driving technique, but with how wild his driving is, it’s a miracle he hasn’t been in an accident.

Hamiel Luis (voiced by Kazuki Kato) – A con man with the air of a playboy. Although he’s good with people, and excels at manipulating people’s minds with his eloquent words, his sarcasm and sharp words often bleed into his speech. Due to his strong self assertion, he often gets himself into trouble with other people. He also excels at disguising himself, and cheating when gambling.

Gib Baltzer (voiced by Ryota Takeuchi) – A former police officer who’s on the run as a suspect for the murder of a colleague. As a member of the special force in his time as a police officer, he was a sniper who excels at handling firearms. Always calm and collected, he fills the role of leader of the group. He can make decisions from an objective point of view, but due to his serious personality, he often can’t relate to younger people. He was married once, but is now a widower.

Ramie Carriere (voiced by Yuto Uemura) – The self proclaimed, “Ramie, the Great Phantom Thief of the Century,” he’s a thief who mainly targets the wealthy. Excels at both picking pockets and picking locks with his dexterous fingers. He also makes great use of his acrobatic skills, using his cat-like agility to get over walls. He’s friendly, always looking to brighten up the mood, but hates being touched by other people.

Camu Einhard (voiced by Shinnosuke Tachibana) – Calling himself “The Earth Warrior of Love,” he’s a revolutionist who fights for the preservation of the environment. An engineering student who loves Japanese comics, he has a strong interest in Japanese culture and anime. In addition to always being immersed in his own world, due to his social anxiety, he doesn’t have any friends his age. He is pure of heart, and he generally doesn’t like arguments.

Sally Del Testa (voiced by Kanae Ito) – A genius hacker who loves Japan’s Harajuku fashion. Gaining illegal access to information through the net, she has committed numerous cyber crimes, but having no sense of the wrongness of her actions, she doesn’t like to be called a cracker. Because of an incident in her past, she avoids elevators.

Mika Amamine (default name) (voiced by Mika Okamoto) – Despera Drop‘s protagonist. She’s a Japanese student studying abroad at an Italian University. She gets involved in a murder incident in Rome, and is framed as the murderer and arrested. A good person at heart, who doesn’t forgive bad deeds, she is reluctant to live on the run as a fugitive. Having the power to read people’s strong emotions and memories when she touches them with her hands from birth, she always wears gloves to avoid reading people’s hearts inadvertently.

*Only the name of the main character can be changed. (If you use the default name, the character will call you by your name with a voice.) *Character voicing is in Japanese only.

The thing about me being so frickin obsessed with luffy and zoro's relationship is that... i just think they really are that compatible and perfect for each other in a way that they just, makes sense 

Like yeah i think one or two ships involving zoro and luffy (other than zolu/luzo) are cute or at least ok, but like the amount of love i have for them is like dust compared to my love for zolu:"D And if i'm being reallyy honest, personally i can't really imagine zoro being with someone else that's not luffy IF luffy is present in his life and vice versa?, like for example i think *insert other luffy ship* is cute, but like zoro can't be present in luffy's life for that ship to actually work for me?? So it's gotta be an alternative universe where they don't meet... I can appreciate the fanarts of the other luffy and zoro ships though, as long as they are not insanely wayyy too out of character?? (i just don't actively seek out content of ships that i'm not crazy about)

Not to state the obvious but luffy is my favorite character in one piece:) and right after him, unsurprisingly it's zoro (zoro used to be my number one when i was younger but now he is number two, but i'm sure zoro is fine with me loving his captain just a little bit more, haha)

When it comes to the ships involving my favorite character(s)... i am actually suuuper picky about it? i have to think very deeply about it, like i only want what's best for them, but also the best for the other person too cuz it can't be one sided! And i literally love both luffy and zoro almost equally? (actually i always love the two characters that i ship cuz i can't ship my favorite character with someone that i dislike) With zoro and luffy i've done a lot of thinking. Like, a lot. I thought about all of their potential love interests, every single one of them, but always arrived at the same conclusion that no one completes them the way they complete each other. Proof? Plz just scroll through my tumblr #zolu or #luzo i literally only talk about their relationship😭 They really are the most perfect person for each other. It's almost like they were made for each other? Everything about them, their principles, their personalites, they just fits

Like they are so insane, because at a surface level they can be interpreted as just platonic (which is a completely fine interpretation for the non zolu people out there!), but when you try to look more into it, on a deeper level, looking at every part of their interactions while considering their characterizations, motivations et cetera, like everything just clicks. Their devotion towards each other, all the little things they say and do relating to each other. They are best friends, they are the captain and the first mate, and maybe they are also something a lil bit more? Sometimes i don't even think i can label their relationship, cause from the outside… their relationship looks so simple, yet not without depth (so much depth!) and nuance. With zolu, you either get them or don't get them at all. One thing for sure is that they work really well together!!

Also, everytime i think about zolu as just friends.. but then i compare my relationship with my best friend(s) to luffy and zoro's relationship... and i don't know, if my best friend treats me the way zoro and luffy treat each other? I fear i will have to drop the "what are we?" question. I'm so serious, like that man? zoro?? He is enamored. Completely whipped- bewitched, body and soul. While on luffy's side, his way of expressing love is more subtle, but i've talked about that before here.

They say there's a thin line between love and hate... but there's also a thin line between platonic and romantic love, and maybe that's why one of my favorite tropes in ships is the one where they start out as friends... (harurin from free, bakudeku, pegoryu, fluri, soriku, cloti, cleon, kimron, percabeth, kataang, lumity, appledash, katyana, korrasami, harlivy, etc #friendstolovers ftw!)

Like luffy and zoro... The god personified and the non believer. Oda is literally so insane for that..

One is very carefree and easy to put his trust in others. And the other is the more rigid one and needs to slowly build his trust. One is the more emotional one. The other is the stoic and more composed one. They share the same values, the same braincells, they can communicate and understand each other even without having to say much.

Their colors complement each other, their zodiac signs are compatible, their personalites can be quite contrasting but they actually blend perfectly. They are different but also the same. No one makes zoro smile as much as luffy, no one else luffy likes to lean on as much as he likes to lean and rely on zoro. No one makes zoro worry as much as luffy, even though luffy himself is very strong. No one luffy trusts with his crew as much as he trusts them with zoro, and his nakama means everything to luffy. They are the happiest when they are together.. fighting side by side, laughing with each other, talking with each other... They respect and understand each other the most. They are just so insane and i am also insane and-

They are the only two strawhats with twin numbers for their birth dates and months. The only two strawhats with CoC. The only two strawhats fighting for the greatest titles (pirate king and world's greatest swordsman respectively) they are the only two strawhats with a lot of parallels (let it be between each other like the hero talk in fishman island, or with the other captains and their first mates, which i kinda(?) have talked about before, here).

Zoro's the only member of his crew that luffy actually tries to find (he doesn’t stumble upon him like how he does with the rest of the strawhats) Zoro is the first person in canon that we see luffy enthusiastically feel it's okay to share his meal with. The first person outside of his family (i consider shanks and his crew, dadan, and makino as part of his found family!) that he cries and worries for (baratie arc). Zoro is the first person that he mentions when he splits up with his crew and the first one he calls whenever they meet again (alabasta, skypiea, punk hazard, zou, etc)

Zoro is luffy's anchor especially during difficult times (e.g. water7), he is luffy's voice of reason (e.g. pre-egghead), and luffy often listens to him (like when zoro gives luffy his assessment of a situation and how he thinks they should handle the situation and luffy immediately agrees to his plan)

And kinda random but meat is like the perfect food for beer! luffy's perfect for zoro!! Meat paired with the right beer can amplify each other's flavors. Even their favorite food (luffy) and drink (zoro) complement each other, like oda are you serious?? and the crazy thing is i'm pretty sure i haven't written down all the things that make me crazy about them

From their deal in shells town, then BOOM! zoro's sacrifice in thriller bark, all the way to luffy's blush, the iconic hug, and whatever tf that "if you're gonna invite our captain to hell, i'll come along as well" // "sorry... now you have no reason to die" bs in wano

Like how can i be normal about the two characters whose dreams have already merged into one that they can no longer achieve their dreams without each other by their side? i'm on my knees crying thinking about the bond between luffy and zoro-

Joel and Lizzie have a very connected but open relationship. When they are toghther, usally when they are on the same server but not always, they are toghther but both Joel and Lizzie are prone to wandering.

They never share people bewteen them per say but both have had partners outside of each other, you know? They, while their other partners can be equally as important, are husband and wife always, and everybody partner they have has to understand that.

Lizzie is the one who doesnt really date or take partners or lovers often, comfortable inbwteen and being alone, but when she does, she doesnt do casual nor brief. Its a slow and building love she covets and grows, and she loves wholy and with her whole soul and commitment. She is theirs and they are hers until its their time to part for whatever reason.

Joel is the one that NEEDS connections and more, he chases people and love like he needs it to breathe but for the most part his relationships are casual or flings to sate the burning need of someone, somthing in his chest, his mind, his hands and body ache to be held- but he doesn't often form deeper connections due to his nature, even shies away from it due to his issues.

He hadnt been seriously intrested in anyone other then Lizzie for a long time, if ever.

Well not until Bad Boys in Limited Life happened and suddnly things changed. Suddenly a team of friends became somthing more and Joel has these two who refuse to let him push them away due his fears or anxiety. Its not perfect, sometimes their personalites clash or they step on a unknow landmine and set someone off, but they're soft and good and they are his.
