I had a dream a long while ago that never quite left and it was about a jschaltt video where he got a bunch of ppl to roleplay a sorta murder mystery on a mansion and everyone had fancy costumes and characters and crimeboys where the cleaning staff but Jschaltt payed them by every gram of dust they cleaned (individually) so they where constantly competing and hitting each other to dust the counters

at one point when the discussion about the murder got serious Jschaltt broke glass of wine and tommy jumped into the fucking table to clean it before Wilbur and at the end while everyone was watching how they arrested the murderer (it was Ted nivison) they just started breaking shit and "cleaning it"

what i love about the dsmp is that (similar to shows like bojack) all the characters are flawed but you can sympathize with most to some extent.

and flawed doesn’t automatically equal irredeemable, c!tommy is flawed, he’s arrogant, impulsive, selfish and rude, but ultimately he is still a sympathetic character who has many wonderful traits. and realistically i think it’s a good thing that the lore also has flawed characters who are likable but ultimately still irredeemable. c!wilbur is charismatic as hell, that’s literally how he got so many people to follow him, but he is repeatedly terrible to those around him. i can’t help but love him because despite all that he is endearing and relatable, but ultimately from an objective perspective he is a bad person.

c!philza is endearing through his emotional connections, his undying loyalty to c!techno and his wife make you forget that he is actually a very self centered individual overall.

even c!dream who is shown to be horrifyingly abusive for what are quite frankly petty reasons is sympathetic to some capacity. we watch him lose all the good things in his life because of his inability to relinquish control and move on from how he has been hurt. we see him suffer in terrible ways while being tortured in prison and despite having witnessed him inflict similar treatment on Tommy, it never feels just, it just feels cruel.

it’s a refreshing narrative for even the kindest characters to have flaws and make mistakes they suffer from. seeing c!eret never be able to fully escape their decision to betray their fellow revolutionary’s, despite their commitment to non violence from that point on, makes the characters and consequences feel REAL.

So there is actually YWNMTBAH lore with this statement! Technically it was a "deleted scene" in the sense of how Wilbur and Quackity's first dance was a deleted scene. It canonically happened and is referenced, but it didn't make it into the final story.

What happened is that some dumbass villain though it would be a smart idea to break into a tower full of heroes while Phil was out. Tommy, being trained to essentially become an assassin similar to Techno's training, got his training mixed up with the protective instincts that come when an intruder is in their nest area. So he killed the fucker only coming to his senses after the deed was done. The commotion woke up Techno and Wilbur. The twins automatically fell into their individual training with Wilbur taking care of the body and Techno doing what he could to help Tommy.

They all agreed to never speak of this again and to definitely not tell Phil.

i'm literally not even a c!discduo main and never followed c!tommy's lore super closely, largely because i generally preferred to watch other POVs when they were available, but like. shitting on one side of the tommy-dream deal very much usually ends up shitting on them both. they were both the essential elements of the story that swallowed them whole--there's a reason why the themes of being a "hero" and c!tommy's protagonist complex follows him so far and for so long, there's a reason why c!dream was consumed by the role of a villain written for him until the very fucking end. they were both perpetrators of violence towards each other and others and both victims of it as well on an individual and societal level. they both wrapped the entire fucking server up in their bullshit until they literally destroyed the whole damn thing--and they both wanted the same thing! a simple life with their friends! to live on the server without it being ruined! (also cough cough WILBUR. anyway.)

(also worth noting: this does nawt mean they are equally as bad, or that they hurt each other equally. like. c!dream still bullied the shit out of this guy. he was still abusive as fuck. like bros.)

like there's no need to like both characters, right, but their story is still what it is. they aren't characters that kinda had beef once but it's unimportant, really, or characters with an overly simplistic relationship that's largely one-sided--they're. two sides of the same coin? like the finale had both of them pointing at each other going "and YOU WERE THE PROBLEM THE WHOLE TIME AND IF YOU WERE GONE EVERYTHING WOULD BE GREAT!!!!" and then they realized that actually they were kind of wrong and stupid.so maybe the conclusion we shouldn't be drawing is that one of them was the problem the whole time and if they were gone everything would be great. just a thought 😭😭😭

Hi, this probably won’t get answered because it problematic, but I saw a recent confession about Wilbur and Tommy and wanted to get my thoughts out here somewhere since I have no one to genuinely talk to about it.

Regarding whether or not Tommy and Wilbur had a truly abuse relationship or not is no one’s business. It isn’t our place to poke and prod into someone real life, no matter if you believe Shubble or Wilbur (I choose to use the online names they’ve chosen out of respect for privacy).

Not to mention that speculating an abuse relationship using role play is morally incorrect, as they lumps together a large group of individuals who have role played as Wilbur, or in general abuse roles in shows or media, as being abuse in real life. Yes, there are cases where they truly are abusive and therefore we should hold them accountable as such. However, using role play as evidence is not productive, an invasion of privacy, and frankly no fan should be getting so involved in a problem that they had no involvement in. The abuse allegations should be handled privately (as it should have been from the beginning) by the creators, friends, and people truly liable for this situation.

He stood up, stepping out of the cabin, scanning his surroundings for any intruders. Then, that's when he saw her. The first woman he had ever seen in ages. She was holding a camera, sneaking around the broken down shack. She heard somewhere that an individual went out here to investigate, and never came back, let alone were they seen again.

Her knuckles turned white from gripping the camera out of absolute fear of what might happen to her. She forced herself to swallow her fear, right before...

"You." Her head snapped back at the deep voice that came from behind her. She let out a shaky gasp. "H-hey...? What are... what are you doing here? Who exactly... are you?"

Wilbur was... silenced, at the very least. In no world had he seen such a perfect, ethereal woman. He couldn't even say a single syllable as he eyed her in awe. "... you good?" "Fuck, you're the chosen one, aren't you? The Dark Lord chose a beautiful angel to join us..." He looked at her and she swore she saw hearts in his eyes. She couldn't lie, he was so pretty. His dark, fluffy hair falling over his eyes, the way he eyed her, the way he spoke to her, it all messed up the clogs spinning in her head. "Please, say you'll join us in worship of Him." One day, they decide they want to have kids, so Kristin's like 'sure, you know what, I'll just rip a piece of void out and roughly make it kid-shaped, that'll be fine' but Phil's like 'hey how the hell did we get two kids instead of one and also one of them is literally floating'.

They're twins! Techno is a warden hybrid and Wilbur is a wither hybrid. Phil loves Kristin but she absolutely does not get the fact that this is not what normal children do. They also make another child a few years later, who turns out to be an elder guardian hybrid.

So Wilbur: can wither things with his touch, float and make explosions with his mind. He also has three eyes (like the wither has 3 heads) but he keeps the third closed most of the time. He can see through invisibility potions, and is immune to lava.

Techno: is blind, but senses vibrations in the ground around him and hears really well and can sense things through literally every sculk vines in the world all at once. He can also teleport through them and scream loud enough to physically hurt people. Yes, he was a fun baby to deal with.

Tommy: can control water and basically has x-ray vision. He can also slow down time for individual people (the fatigue effect) and of course can breathe underwater and swim really fast.

Random things about their house. Most of the floor is covered in sculk so Techno can sense people and move through it easily. Wilbur absolutely abusing the fact that he can be quiet and hover so he doesn't touch the vines so Techno can't sense him. Tommy making parenting a fucking nightmare when he slows down everyone around him and just screams. Techno retreating to a little cave he's got carved out in an island for some piece and quiet. Mumza being the void so she's basically immune to everything and can go anywhere in the end, so she is fine while Phil suffers.

Anyway, once they're at an age where they can hide their hybrid nature, Phil takes them out into the world. Techno makes a name for himself as a gladiator, and really, they all just cause chaos. Techno befriends this homeless duck hybrid who full on admits to wanting to start a mafia when he grows older and Techno goes 'sounds cool, I'm yoinking you now' and takes him home.

Phil sees Quackity and goes 'hatchling??? hatchling who cannot fly???' and immediately is on board with adoption. He teaches Quackity how to fly.

Wilbur and Tommy, who didn't realise you could just kidnap orphans off the street and take them home begin their own collection, taking home Niki and Fundy, and Tubbo respectively. Phil adopts all of them. They all eventually know about the sbi's weird hybrid status and are cool with it.

Then along comes Dream.

The early days of the DSMP play out as normal, Tommy joins and causes some chaos, and pisses Dream off. But then, they realise 'hey this Dream guy's kind of a bitch' as time goes on, and slowly a plan begins to form. Basically, everyone else is in on the storyline and just acting along. There are no traitors, and the main guys that Phil adopted are all still great friends and love each other, and the other that join outside that group are in on it too. But Dream doesn't know any of this. He thinks it's real. And as time goes on, and his actions get worse and worse, everyone kind of dislikes him, even though they know he's not actually doinf any harm.

Oh, and the sbi are all immortal. Philza will respawn in the end and can regenerate with crystals. Wilbur's body can be killed, but then he just walks around as a bunch of souls until he can get to some soulsand and reform his body. If Tommy gets killed, he just regenerates at the nearest monument because he's a sea guardian you can't just kill the guardian of the sea. Techno also can't really be killed because he's all the sculk at once, so you kill him at one place and he just pops up in another like a hydra. Kristin, who is all of the End at once, is the only one who really gets him in that regard. Also, because she's a goddess, basically Mumza says none of the dsmp deaths count so there's no way any of them are dying on that server.

So, the canon events happen. L'Manberg falls and Wilbur 'dies'. Tommy gets exiled. Exile is absolutely a breeze for him. Techno and Wilbur visit him all the time and he's right next to the ocean which is great. Tubbo also visits him too.

Random idea that Ranboo finds out Techno's hybrid status when they're fleeing from some pillagers in a mansion and Techno pulls them through the sculk too (it's not a pleasant experience for anyone other than Techno. The only one outside of the main sbi who is used to it is Quackity because they do it so often) and they wind up in a cave. Techno asks if he can 'see' Ranboo's face, which Ranboo is opposed to until they realise 'oh that blindfold isn't just for show this guy is blind' because most people forget that Techno is, in fact, completely blind. They allow him to 'see' their face, and in return, Techno takes off his blindfold to show that he has no eyes whatsover so he can't even look Ranboo in the eyes and make the enderman hybrid uncomfortable. Ranboo immediately like Techno more for this because people really consider eye contact important. They bond, Techno decides not to drag them through the sculk again and they walk back to the surface.

The rest of canon goes along up until Dream's imprisonment. They imprison him, and then they basically forget about him. Because that's all dsmp was to them, a prank on an asshole, but now that's over they can return to their normal lives. Quackity starts Las Nevadas as the base of operations for his burgeoning mafia empire, with Techno at his side. Wilbur is Not jealous and doesn't make his own little attenpt at a mafia in retaliation (it doesn't work). Bench trio do things togeth, Ranboo and Tubbo get Michael, they're all living their best lives.

And then Dream breaks out of prison, because Sam has left it basically unattended for months now. And Dream wants answers, so he goes to Las Nevadas to find Quackity (who he thinks will be easy to manipulate) and get some help. Of course, Quackity is now the head of a mafia empire with most of the dsmp members working as partners alongside him, or at least as business partners with their own ventures. And Quackity also makes sure all the flooring in Las Nevadas is carpeted in sculk. Quackity tells Dream to get out of his casino, and Techno shows up basically to help threaten him (Quackity is good in a fight, okay, but not Dream good)

Dream thinks it's Techno running the empire and tries to tell Quackity he's being manipulated, but these guys aren't having any of it. They've literally been best friends to the point of nearly being siblings for years, they know what's up. In a last ditch attempt to get someone on his side, Dream asks Techno where Tommy is, information which Techno gives willingly.

Dream goes to the island where Tommy is and tries every trick in the book to make him come to his side, banking on the belief the conditioning in exile worked. It didn't, of course, and Tommy winds up fighting him instead. Dream wins, though, killing Tommy and is like 'well, hey, at least I managed to get rid of that fucking menace' except NOPE! Tommy's back because you're on an island surrounded by sea, near his monument. And Tommy finally reveals to Dream his hybrid status and kicks his ass.

And everyone lives happily ever after :)

no because that's So So True ! I really do think a big part of it is that intentionally making dark content requires a level of self awareness about it.

that doesn't inherently mean the Execution of any individual work will stick the landing, but it's like !

I love Regular sbi content, but if you search for it outside of the context of dark sbi you Will run into depictions of the rankest most unhealthy dynamics out there, depicted with seemingly No awareness that it's not, in fact, Fluffy And Cute.

people who are Aware that they're making dark content A: are actively thinking about how they could impact other people, and tend to have more robust tagging For those darker elements (which often Are still present in other parts of the fandom). and B: are Aware that they're twisting the characters and depicting them in unhealthy ways

people tend to want to Win fandom in mcyt spaces, tearing each other to pieces to Prove that their little dolly is Objectively Morally Correct. twisting other characters into Caricatures to get there, sometimes when it's not even Necessary to make the points they want to.

and with sbi in Particular it's Especially dicey because of how much drama the characters get up to in the series proper.

if you want, for example, techno and tommy to be besties despite the Everything that happened a lot of classic flavor fic will fall into two tropes

1: picking a sacrificial lamb to be the Real Reason their relationship exploded, usually wilbur or tubbo (though I've seen phil sprinkled in there too). you just make it Somebody Else's fault and turn them into the devil to be Defeated

2: you just have the one or more of the characters lose their fundamental beliefs and become an empty vessel in exchange for love and protection. but like, This Is Fluff, And It's Good Because The Person Thinking For Them Is Morally Correct And Right.

and the thing About dark sbi as a Baseline is that there's always an Awareness that they're making the characters Dark On Purpose. that's the very Premise. the twisting of the characters or the setting is never done Unintentionally, it never Expects you to shove the implications underneath the rug and not think about them.

mind, there's plenty of Extraordinarily Excellent sbi fic that Isn't dark sbi, and I've seen more than my fair share of dark sbi that fumbles the bag spectacularly. but the fact is, the source material Does contain Many dark elements, elements that can be difficult to fully grasp at All let alone depict with grace or elegance.

cheater cheater (known as mangoball) is a satirical social media fanfiction by twitter user mangobaii written in 2021 about the internet personas of twitch streamers georgenotfound and dream getting together after georges ex boyfriend sapnap cheated on him with dream. on paper it sounds fucking abysmal especially with what we now know about all three of them (ie. they should be publicly stoned) but its more or less infamous for the surrealist humour and the way it acts as a time capsule for stan culture of late 2021. the characters are:

dream. a very very desperate american man who sucked sapnaps dick in a public bathroom and broke up his relationship. when he thinks things are over between him and george he runs away to disney land to become a goofy mascot, which george finds incredibly attractive

sapnap. a very very unpleasant man to be around. cheated on his boyfriend and when its clear theyre not gonna patch things up he resorts to just hanging around the main group and in general being a dick

now this is where it gets REALLY really good bc its unanimously agreed upon that while the dream team are really entertaining in this they dont hold a candle to the others

quackity. georges roommate. i would say he "favours the tough love approach" but that is putting it soooooo lightly.

kyle. georges other roommate. the designated "straight man" in that he is like a normal fucking person put into this insane world of crazy people. the catalyst for most of the events of the story since he is the one who saw dream suck sapnaps dick, told george about it, and encouraged george to rebound with dream. thank you rival cartoonrival for telling me that i called karl kyle on accident. it really goes to show how much of a normal guy he is

corpse husband (we dont know why he was included either). dreams roommate. hates that cunt and is actively praying on his downfall

wilbur soot. dream and corpse's neighbour. initially introduced as "guy who keeps stealing his stuff (and also knows george from england)" gradually devolves into "batshit insane, genuinely a threat to those around him, involuntarily gets them involved in his crimes for a 'bonding experience'". also he is kind of in love with corpse but that isnt ever expanded upon

tommy innit. a freshman that dream used to tutor for compsci (along with tubbo but hes not as relevant to the story as tommy is. SORRY TUBBO!) but he hated dream so much he started a space about it, which got bigger and bigger until it became a huge podcast (with individual episodes still named using space naming conventions) where he and various guests shit on dream. he doxxes dream. at one point it was sponsored by taco bell.

badboyhalo. mysterious man no one really knows (except i think its briefly implied george dated him at one point) who doesnt go to their college yet keeps interacting with them like they are all best friends. is actually quackitys estranged father he never met

there was also a christmas special where someone snitched on wilbur to the authorities and george got kidnapped and they try to figure out whos responsible while snowed in and unable to visit their families like they wanted

i have SOOO much lore written down already uhmmm

so there are only two diamonds, kristin is violet and xd is mint because i thought it looked better than straight up green, and they have a very hands-off approach to leadership. the real rulers are the extremely high ranking gems who actually take charge and tell people to do things since all gems are made with an innate understanding of their purpose and their purpose is to . yell at people. im really invested so ill probably make more designs for some of the others, but for now, sbi

philza is an emerald, very different from canon, but an emerald nonetheless. he is a military commander in charge of ships and oversees their crews (tubbo is a nephrite and is therefore under phil's command, for example) he stays mostly at homebase, but has ships of his own. hes also really chill compared to other emeralds so he's a lot closer with his workers, thus

techno, a rose quartz soldier with a sort of jasper like reputation. he is highly respected by his peers and other high ranking gems for his "ruthlessness" but he's just a silly guy. him and philza are close friends despite their expectations as individuals, and eventually run away from their duties and just. hang out i guess. until the lore

wilbur is a labradorite working directly under phil in navigation for him but is also in charge of locating new planets for colonies to potentially start. because of his close proximity to phil, they grow very close, he also knows techno because of this, but theyre a little less close. he eventually runs off as well, finding an old colony with only a few gems still hanging around on it and decides thats his place now (lmanburg is created yippee)(also the other gems still left there are the other members of lmanburg except for eret i think)(ranboo is also there but hes like. abysmal. we'll get to him)(oh and fundy's got a really fun story)

tommy is a rutile, i imagine them being like rubies in that they scout, but with less inherent combat capabilities. tommy works under wilbur, but not under phil(they're different branches of wilbur's work) although he does know of him as well as techno and idolizes them both(mostly techno) he's often accompanied by other rutiles alongside nephrites (usually tubbo and his gang, although he is not a captain himself) for supply drops and other such missions(of course, this is how he knows tubbo, ill draw him eventually and he can get his own little information square)

Philza—African Jacana

He’s just a dad carrying around his chicks. What more do you want from him? Male African Jacana are known for raising hatchlings on their own. Gives people nightmares when they’re just trying to protect their chicks. They also use their long toes to walk on water (really on floating vegetation but shh) and are referred to as Jesus birds. Other than the fact Philza is a god, he occasionally forgets to be affected by gravity since pretending to be a person is pretty hard. (I’m ignoring the few decades Philza accidentally spent as a crow so hard rn.)

Tommy—Clownfish

This is 100% serious actually. Specifically a red bullet hole clownfish, to mimic Red’s splatters. Tommy’s very much a small fish in a big pond. Clownfish purposefully coat themselves in sea anemone toxin that is harmless to them but really bad for anyone else, much like Red. If we make The Blood God an anemone in this analogy, Tommy is always running to him for safety, luring in doomed predators that that are slaughtered in a symbiotic relationship between the two. Tommy is also the dominant male of the group, and should the female die he’ll become trans— wait. Maybe not that last fun fact, since Tommy is the most reliably cishet in Fault. Also yes fine he’s a silly goofy guy who acts flashy for attention.

Tubbo—Honey Guide

What animal could better represent the hive save for a bird that lures people to bee hives? Since, again, this challenge is about avoiding the obvious answer. Much like Tubbo, these little guys have a pretty positive mutualistic relationship with humans. Anyway, this friendly and helpful passerine is also a brood parasite! They lay eggs in the nests of others and then murder the other chicks so that the honey guide is raised by unsuspecting parent birds. This fits well with Tubbos’ design as a changeling that’s meant to mimic humans in order to replace individuals (by adding them to the hive mind). Worked decently since Tubbo was raised by humans (ignoring how badly it went with the first nest they infiltrated).

Wilbur—Polyphemus Moth

Named of course after the famous cyclops, I thought the name and appearance were a fantastic reference to the void embedded in half of Wilbur’s face. Beyond that, moths are very night coded, much like Wilbur, though are uncontrollably attracted to the light (Philza). Notably, a Polyphemus moth eats 86,000 times their body weight in the 56 days that it lives, which plays well to Wilbur being a Devourer of All and a man who’s extremely aware he isn’t going to have a long life span. Plus their spooky design fits in with how much of a flashy edgelord Wilbur is. Only problem is they spend almost half their existence in their silk cocoon and Wilbur is a chronic insomniac who could NEVER.

The Blade—Hippopotamus

Both are insanely aggressive and deadly, and are the top of the food chain (once adults). Plus the semi aquatic nature of the hippopotamus plays well into the (arguably literal) sea of voices from which The Blade has to fight his way out of or else succumb to the fathoms. Just like how hippos can’t actually swim? Both faster than anyone would prefer them to be able to move. uh. About the same size. uhhh. They both can’t sweat and so enjoy a good mud bath..? could be unethically hunted for ivory…….? Bro he’s so pig idk

Hey im in situation with a Person on TikTok and I don’t want to give them wrong information, I forgot most of what the other responses to Wilbur was when they said they also went through his abuse apparently. I want to reply to show them I’m not backing down, show from that comment they made I want to have a strong argument on that matter that will tell them why I support him and some other content creators on the matter.

Yes I can argue that Nikki went through stuff and she was only 18-19 at the time when he came into her life, if I’m getting my information right. Yes you can make the argument “we don’t know what it was like off camera.” Which is very true and valid. We are an audience, and we don’t know about there personal lives fully and down to the T, for they can say/do stuff they want to put out on the internet or one can just dig up old stuff cause the internet never forgets.

I just want to give information and not a backhand response and be like “Well they are all horrible and we’re just using him for clout.” Or “Well Shubble was stupid for showing it on camera, and could have gone to police but she had to make it public and that’s why many people are saying they were also a victim to get clout.” I don’t want the response to be poor and make them twist my words. Because that has happened and I don’t want that again so I’m reaching out for some information, I did say that she is many things which are true (not the insult type of way). But now they are asking about others, the whole Alice situation was debunked and proven false but the others around that did stuff/with him to like Freddie, Billzo, Asmiey, Tubbo, and there were other Women as well that worked with him that came out I think a trumpeter, and probably two other women who I cannot remember.

Im reread this several times over and am still not sure if im even processing this infomation correctly or what do with it exactly.

Im grasping at there is a request for infomation, but im no sure which info would even be best because i dont know the other persons arguements.

There is also a lot of info mentioned im sure is true but is talked about so less than shelby that much info on those specific subjects isnt evenbrought properly to light.

Example: i dont think and am not aware anything happened with Tubbo, or i heard Alice's story has been debunked but ive yet see info on this and dont focus on it because of it. Ever. I only try and focus on things i have evidence for or soldid argument in logic for.

The only thing i can think happened to Tubbo is the horrid story shafting or the "Miles 'Tails' Prowers" effect in terms of his character on the DSMP. In which more attention and focus was placed onto Tommy's character, because Dream focused more on Tommy, so Wilbur swooped in to pretray him as an underdog, often ignoring Tubbo or writing him off as Tommy's sidekick, ignoring the fact that its because of Tubbo that they were able to one up Dream during the pre-lmanberg disc wars. Legitimately we wouldnt have the DSMP we have now if it wasnt for Tubbo. Not Wilbur.

Legitimately if Tubbo didnt side with Tommy or join the server at all, Tommy might have lost the battle before he got a chance to win the war. And Wilbur may not have had as juicy of a story to get ahold off and spin into the underdog story we know and love today. Wilbur didnt make Tommy. Nor did Dream. Tubbo. Made. Tommy. No disc war means no DSMP. No DSMP means Tommy wouldnt have the same flavor of fame he has now, or may have dropped off a lot sooner then he will eventually. (He will eventually retire, jes not dropped off yet)

Wilbur overlooked that fact. And so did Dream. But other than that, i dont think or know if Wilbur actually did anything to Tubbo.

Yet Tommy looked up to him and still does. Jaiden makes videos with him. Etc. Etc. Its hypocrisy. If schlatt was to come out as geneuinely being abusive, no one would bat an eye. But no does because thats just how he is. Yknow?

Symphony of Gods and Dreamers (DSMP AU)

🟢 DSMP (sorry for bad grammar, this was mostly just me vomiting my ideas onto the post)

My DSMP au makes the world so much bigger and full of life than canon.

The arctic empire from SMP earth exists, hypixel is a whole kingdom, the bear SMP exists and that’s where Niki is from, the wreckage of tales from the SMP locations can be found in the woods, places from fanfics such as the blue valley are very important to the story. The story takes place over a much longer period of time, the L’Manberg revolution alone lasts several years! Dream is like 50! He was an adult before Wilbur was even born. Tommy and Tubbo had families before being adopted by Philza, but they were killed by Dream’s armies in their quest to conquer the world. Dream stole the revival book from Kristin decades ago.

Dream is a tyrant and a cult leader with armies and followers dedicated to his mission to control as much of the world as possible. The DreamSMP is a continent that Dream has discovered and, at the beginning of the events of the server, it has small townships spread around the woods that are full of people gathering resources for colonies. The original L’Manberg members were followers of Dream who had begun to question his power.

Las Nevadas is not just one street with some restaurants and a casino! It’s a massive fucking city with hundreds of thousands of citizens, they have communities and schools and farmer’s markets, It’s the first city in the SMP with paved roads! Snowchester is a cosy little college town up north surrounded by mountains. Students from schools in Snowchester and Las Nevadas go on field trips to L’Manberg and Eret’s castle. The center of the SMP is this huge historic town kept in top condition by volunteers dedicated to preserving the history of the land.

Kinoko Kingdom was built by natives of the SMP and can be found deep within the forest. The people of the kingdom have myths and legends of a time when dragons and demons and gods roamed the earth. When Sapnap showed up, being half demon, they worshipped him and made him their ruler.

There is an entire cult that worships DreamXD! every few hundred years XD selects a member of his cult to give godhood to (Techno, Foolish, and Callahan are amongst those selected). DreamXD is older than the universe itself and has witnessed the rise and fall of countless worlds. Several SMP members were gods in their past lives and knew XD personally (some relationships were more positive than others). That’s why XD is so infatuated with George and so hateful of Bbh.

Characters like Puffy, Antfrost, and Sam are just single individuals who are members of entire original species. Ranboo was born a prince in the end but his people were driven out. The nether was accidentally discovered by cultists and legend says that’s where the demons came from.

My vision of the SMP has grown far beyond a Minecraft roleplay. I wish I could tell you everything but that would take way too long to write. For now I’m just focusing on Wilbur and the other bursonas. I can’t possibly talk about every single character and that makes me mad. Maybe in the future I will go into more detail on sbi and DreamXD.

I see him as more just annoying and stubborn, he has been selfless and empathetic before like bonding with c!dream over discs and trucing, giving the discs away to secure l'manbergs independence, protecting c!wilbur from harm, feeling horrible when c!tubbo is executed and he attacks c!techno over it, eventually admitting that he betrayed c!techno and did the wrong thing with c!tubbo, showing concern for c!quackity after he is hurt by c!schlatt, showing concern for c!wilbur and trying to stop him offing himself with c!quackity there too, not getting c!ranboo in trouble during that trial prior to exile, caring about mexican dream dying, caring about c!tubbo being hurt during that battle before staged finale, showing some concern with what c!q did to c!dream [even though he later goes to kill c!dream which is um contradictory], and realizing the pattern of violence that he had with at the end and cutting that off. But I feel we have different definitions of empathy. I feel like his empathy fluctuates in extremes, I have the same issue. I strongly disagree with cc tommy on saying c!dream is a psychopath too however. (Ik u said no more ctommy talk but I saw your post as you wanting to see proof that ctommy had empathy)

Ah I mean annoying and stubborn aren’t wrong, but I don’t think those are quite enough to encompass it. I can be annoying and stubborn and also not a repeated menace to society ya know. But yeah, thank you for the examples :) I appreciate it. So let’s look at them, keeping in mind that again no one can truly prove he has no empathy as we are not in his head, so it is an imperfect science especially for someone who isn’t a psychologist lol. All we can do is look at his behavior, tendencies, actions and words, knowing too that people with ASPD tend to not always show their true colors.

Ya know you are not the only one to mention this truce (unless you are the same anon), but I’m gonna be honest I did look a bit through the videos and didn’t find it so I’m not sure what truce you are talking about. Though a truce doesn’t necessarily prove much anyways, wanting the fighting to stop isn’t necessarily a noble or empathetic thing after starting it, is it?

When it comes to L’manberg’s Independence, this would definitely count toward him being a more selfless individual who cares for his nation except that he does it with the full intention of stealing them back as stated in this clip a few minutes later [clip] so I’m not sure it’s a huge sacrifice more just in his mind a temporary loan. He also gave the discs for a piece of land not its people per se, as well as for Wilbur and his assumption that he’s the hero of the story. He doesn’t seem to do it to make the fighting stop or spare lives. If he had done it perhaps before the war then I think that’d be somewhat different. But then again if he always planned on stealing them back then it wasn’t that big of a trade after all. In other words, he didn’t truly give them up if that makes sense.

Protecting Wilbur from harm is a pretty general statement so hard to say in which example you refer. Though I will say, Wilbur is highly manipulative so is it empathy or manipulation? Hard to say…

When it comes to Tubbo dying, to be fair, is it empathy he feels for Tubbo? Or rage at Tubbo being hurt. Those aren’t the same thing. I think Tommy doesn’t appreciate people messing with Tubbo even if he doesn’t always treat Tubbo well all the time, it’s a double standard if you will. And it’s not like people with ASPD can’t be vengeful and protective of what they love. If he had really felt empathy perhaps he would have actually stepped in to protect Tubbo. Besides he teams up with Techno later super fast easily only bringing up him killing Tubbo after he betrays Techno again, almost as if he only cares when it’s useful. Basically to continue the chocolates metaphor, one can be very upset if you stepped on their chocolate and fight you for it, without feeling empathic to said chocolate’s well-being.

Did he admit that? When?… well regardless, does that mean it’s empathy or that he wants his people back to use as weapons and resources. Hard to say without full context but, I’d be interested in the details of that and whether he needed something from them…

Hmm again hard to say if concern is the same as empathy or if concern is genuine at all or just a manipulation. For example if I text and ask someone how they are doing, and if they are okay and stuff, because I ultimately want them to drive me to the store and that’s why I texted them in the first place, does that mean I care or not. It can be, I think that can be genuine and manipulative at the same time, so it’s hard to say whether or not without being that person. One can also just pretend to be normal and empathize, which is often what most people with ASPD do. It’s often how woman get trapped in relationships with them because they may have moments when they seem empathetic or sympathetic, or connect emotionally but in reality it was them pretending to be normal. Not saying Tommy’s doing that but that that is a common thing and he could be.

I mean he cares about Mexican Dream because he was his only company besides Dream, who he hates, of course you’d be distraught if the only person around was killed. When it comes to Tubbo, he hesitates to give up the discs for his life and his reaction to hearing his best friend is about to die is kinda lackluster. He doesn’t beg Dream to spare Tubbo, there is no - ‘please, Dream, please you can’t kill him, please you can’t, I’ll do anything just please don’t do this…” instead he cusses out Dream, says he can have the discs for now and insists that Dream won’t do it. Then to Tubbo he says something about him being the sidekick which is ridiculous since Tubbo’s viewpoint and opinion constantly gets ignored as he follows Tommy around. Oh and who could forget the “what will I be without you?” Once again making himself the victim. And I don’t know about you, but none of that really seems like much care to me, certainly not empathy. Like if someone I loved was about to be killed I’d be pleading, offering to do anything to spare his life, thank the one I loved for being there and for all they did and saying how sorry I was to drag them into this…etc. But we don’t get that from Tommy. And it shouldn’t be surprising from a character who just days again made the statement of “the discs are worth more than you ever were” [clip].

Now taking credit for Ranboo is interesting and an instance that has a strong case, and I’m still not sure why he did it. It is something that bothers me because that is a moment perhaps the only moment (except the end) where he is being more selfless. I guess my only way to explain it is perhaps he felt slightly guilty or responsible for dragging Ranboo as the new member. Perhaps it is him trying to be that hero he thinks he is so does something more heroic to live up to that... I don’t know. But I’m not sure an entire span of actions noting a disregard for people is undone by a few selfless and heroic moments.

lol yea I’m not sure about that one, you mean his “what?” [clip], because I’m gonna be real I don’t think that was him feeling anything for Dream except offended by Dream’s accusation that he “wanted it to happen” but then again he doesn’t deny it so…. But yea sorry ain’t no way that counts for anything.

‘Realizing the violence cycle and cutting it off?’ I mean…. Come on, you mean the 5 seconds before a nuke went off? Because like meh… technically you have a case for his self sacrifice for being the distraction for the nuke going off, but he didn’t stop the cycle of violence the nuke did lol. And even if he did I’m still not sure that’s a moment we can consider empathy or behavior counteracting ASPD tendency.

Perhaps we do have a different definition of empathy and it’s actually something that’s rather complicated. For example, autistic people often seem unempathetic but this is not true, we just don’t express or feel it the same way (I’ll talk about this later ;D) On the other hand, like I said too we can’t really know for sure if someone is being empathetic without being inside their head, but what we can look at is if their behavior and actions showcase them as being empathetic.

Just to be on the same page I guess, the definition by Merriam-Webster of empathy is “the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another.” For example, me crying while watching a movie because I’m connecting with the character and feeling the pain and loss they feel. That is empathy, but it doesn’t always show up as tears or is obvious at all. Still, you can look at whether someone’s actions reflect that they feel other people’s pain. And I just don’t think Tommy’s behavior depicts that, especially the lack of remorse, apologies or efforts to make amends afterwards. It just doesn’t seem to me like he cares that he hurt someone, he doesn’t seem to feel for them. Hell, I’m not even sure he sympathizes with them, though perhaps some of these moments if taken as genuine could be more so instances of sympathy, in which case people with ASPD can do, even if rare.
