I like the Constructicons for many reasons. Mostly two are the main, which are: they are NOT special snowflakes and they are not meant, theoretically, to be part of an army. They are workers, creators in some cases. They can be easy fuel for AUs and personal crafts, considering the shows and the biographies casted here and there.

I just know they are six people, six individuals with their own personal backgrounds and history if you want to forget for a moment that they are gestalt.

This is way I like to think that Scrapper is not just a commader/leader who bends everytime Megatron says something, but is in fact an engineer who finds his time to cultivate his passion for precision and, of course, art. Troublesome art, dreamy and dark and so very unsettling. He is stern and confident but he is also made of the stuff of a brother to the others. He has to see, to know, to understand.

Hook is not just some perfectionist who likes to straighten words or paths because he can, everytime he is putting a cutting remark or a judgement on someone shoulder he is not just humiliating someone, he is also reaching to himself. There's no perfectionist that doesn't know the fault of his own design. And he is always looking out, because there's nothing he could do or say that would ever reach his standards.

Long Haul doesn't whine just because he wants to, but because other people have to. He is the answer to every unbalanced consideration and situation, he makes things even where he can and he does that tiredly or aggresively. He has the tools to be charismatic and not just because he is a big guy. He understands every weight and every measure. And answer accordinlgy.

Scavenger is not just a scared soul. He is a competent soldier, a competent geologist and a competent scout. And in all of this, he has to find the means to make it all work with everything that wronged him in the past, which is a lot. He is born kind, and thoughtful, and an easy target to more dominant personalities, but never a prey.

Mixmaster is insecure. Of course he is in some measure, but never enough to question himself. He stutters because his mind, his ideas and his emotions are faster that his tongue and his personality his just as scattered as his speech. He can have no filters if not the ones needed to respect those who understand his core.

Bonecrusher comes from a dark place and he fights it every single day of his life, disguising and hiding behind a sneer because that way nobody would ever question his vulnerability. And his vulnerability is that his emotional sphere his bigger than his competence, than his constructed character and every gesture he could ever throw anybody's way.

Oh love your losers forever number 2 group doodles. Seeing the doodles, I realized Leona and Vil are together longer than with Jamil.

Well, even on the off-chance that they weren't already dating before, they've still known each other for a while longer, while Jamil was off in his corner pretending to be mid and trying not to attract attention.

In both cases, Leona and Vil would already have their own habits/banter and Jamil, who is barely getting used to standing out and competing against "higher status" people, would take more time to feel comfortable.

(I have paragraphs of potential dynamics between those three, I could talk about them for hours haha)

you don't need a sous vide machine to sou vie! all you need is some plastic freezer bags and like, a cheap digital thermometer (and a pot for water). you might need to get finicky by adding water to the pot during the process to keep the water a consistent temp.

Howdy hello- guess who made a wings au :)

More to come with this eventually- I’m working on my designs for other characters at the moment, but for now we’ve got Red-Tailed Hawk for Curt and Eagle Owl for Owen.

For DMA I had Barn Owl wings because a) Barn Owls are beautiful and I wanted to draw the wings for them, and more importantly, b) Owen would probably want to disguise his wings, and it would make sense if it was as a different type of owl. I just assume he’d dye his feathers in some way or another. Look- just don’t think about it too much.

i am absolutely revolted and horrified with myself for never properly posting this gag. i absolutely adore it through how it comes completely out of nowhere. Rabbit Every Monday essentially does the same gag and better, but it just feels so random in this otherwise relatively middling late-era McKimson short (which i'm still nonetheless fond of). that, and, of course the entire short is about Daffy and Porky running rival hotels and i just LOVE the implications behind our beloved naive, innocent Porky drawing crowds with burlesque dancers because he knows sex sells. there's a story being told here and it is so so so so so funny to think about. and Daffy's just rather stoic acceptance of it. it's so good. stupid but good.
