Chapter 3

Pairing : Regulus Black x Fem!reader

Synopsis : You begin an unlikely friendship with the little Black. And soon your whole life seems to have become a tumultuous pathway. The catch, James Potter is your brother.

The hat was lifted off from your head. Light hit your eyes and for a moment the whole world seemed to stop, the first thing you glanced at was James, who looked as if he's seen a troll, his eyes met yours and then he looked away, you knew about his hatred towards "the slimy snakes" and you knew it was gonna get bad.

The slytherin table erupted in loud cheers as you walked there, you sat at an empty seat, the guy beside you cheered,

"A potter in Slytherin, that's a first, Evan Rosier nice to meet you"

You nodded saying your name, Regulus was sitting beside Evan and someone called Barty, the girl sitting beside you was Amelia Bones who gave you a sweet smile as you introduced yourself, you two were engaged in conversation, but you kept glancing at James who determinedly avoided your gaze, Amelia noticed, "That's your brother right"

"Yes, he is" You replied dejectedly.

"Don't worry, I'm sure he'll come around" Amelia clappped on your back.

"I hope so" You did hope so, although you knew how stubborn he can be.

The Slythein common room was grand and cold at the same time, you didn't notice much, too tired to pay attention, giving a goodbye nod to Regulus, you all shuffled towards your room. The rooms were quite warm, despite the walls and floors being made of stone and the windows being half submerged in the lake. A warming spell maybe.

You were excited to find one of your roommates to be Amelia who you deemed to be sweet and just, there was Merula, and there was Ismelda, whom you met on the boat.

"Y/N right, Merlin, I can't beleive you just jumped into the lake"

"Trust me, I didn't either" you groaned into your hands.

It was only due to always swimming at lake near your house, that you had the courage to jump into black lake. You sighed as you plopped down on your bed, tiredness seeping into your bones, so much trouble on the first day only, you guessed it really was a Potter thing.

The next morning inbetween classes, you tried your best to talk to James, however he was ignoring you as if you were a ghost, heck people pay more attention to ghosts,

"James, why won't you talk to me" you snapped, stomping on the ground, like a petulant child.

"I don't associate with the slimy snake house" James sneered turning to walk away. Needlessly to say, you went after him,

"For Merlin's sake, it's not like I'm in a cult, I didn''t choose to get sorted there?"

James turned back to glare, "I would have preffered to have you in a cult, rather than in Slytherin"

You glared back, "What if the cult would have consisted of Slytherins?"

James huffed, "It's barely been a day and you're already defending them" James walked away to his friends, ignoring your calls. Remus and Peter turned to look at you in what you deemed to be a bit of compassion. Sirius patted James's back, and you had to rush to your next class cause the bell rang.

The last class was droning on while you sat there, staring at your textbook in a disspirited manner. You almost jumped as you heard someone clear their throat behind you, glancing behind to see Regulus smiling sheepishly,

"Sorry, I was asking, shall we leave, everyone's gone" he said pointing at the empty classroom. You gave a docile smile, picking up your stuff, and going with him.

Regulus had known your futile attempts of talking to your brother, so he tried to alleviate you from your dire state,

"At least your situation is better than mine, Sirius wouldn't even look at me"

"But doesn't like almost your whole family was in Slytherin, it mean it was easy to assume you could be too?"

"He hoped I would be different like him and now that I'm not, he associates me with the rest of the family" He sighed. And here you were mulling, thinking only you had the short end of the stick.

You hummed, entangling his arm in yours, suddenly beaming up at him "Well, it's us two against them two"

Regulus chuckled, "Don't worry about it, we'll be fine, we fight, but then we settle, we always do". Although he smiled, his voice was a bit strained. You didn't say anything, tightening your hold on his arm, you tried to divert his attention,

"You know what, I have a plan for James, do you wanna know what I'm gonna do?"

Sirius chucked a ball at James who lazily caught it with ease, "What are you thinking mate?"

James sighed, "Do you think Lily likes me?" enticing a loud groan from Sirius.

As Sirius was about to respond, Remus saw something coming at the window, "Hey Potter, isn't that your owl?"

The owl came closer, and in its claws was a perfectly neat red letter. Peter shot from his chair, already closing his ears. James gulped, "We sure that's for me?"

"Better open it now, before it gets worse" Remus warned slowly moving away along with Sirius. James looked at them with an anguished look, accepting his dire fate,

"JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER, HOW DARE YOU TREAT YOUR LITTLE SISTER LIKE THAT, A PERSON IS NOT TREATED ON THE BASIS OF THEIR HOUSE, ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN SIBLING, I EXPECT BETTER FROM MY OLDER CHILD, NOW GO APOLOGIZE TO HER OR ELSE I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU ONCE YOU COME HOME, also don't forget to eat and take care of yourself, mama loves you.

Also Sirius dear, I've send some cookies for you, I hope you enjoy them"

Marauders era's girls x girl childhood

Lily - Strawberry Shortcake girl first, human second, collected greeting cards and watched the cartoon religiously. Loves Barbie, had few dolls and watched every movie with Petunia, her favorite ones are Magic of Pegasus and Princess Charm School. Watched Winx, her favorite was Bloom. Favorite Disney Princesses are Belle and Cinderella, Twilight is her favorite out of Mane6 from MLP. One of 10 people on the planet that read Star Darlings.

Marlene - Polly Pocket girl, had a dozen of those tiny boxes. Adores Monster High, got atleast 2 dolls for every birthday, seen every movie. Watched og He-man and She-ra with her brothers and was super hype once the reboot came out. Made James and Peter watch Barbie movies and W.I.T.C.H., they made her watch TMNT and Transformers. Her favorite Barbie movies are Mermaid Tale and Diamond Castle, favorite pony is Rainbow Dash and favorite Disney Princesses are Mulan and Merida

Mary - dances ballet since she was 10, watched Angelina Ballerina almost every day and read as many Angelina books as she could. Collected LPS since she was 6, has two shelfs in her room just for the figurines. Favorite Barbie movie is Nutcracker and Swan Lake, mostly because of the real ballet dances in those movies. Her favorite Disney Princesses are Tiana and Rapunzel and Rarity is her favorite pony. Elle Woods and Cher Horowitz are her heroes

Dorcas - she is Tiana and Tiana is she, she owns colour green, as a kid definitly tried to kiss a frog atleast once and she and Pandora dressed up as Tiana and Lottie for Halloween 2 years in a row. Adored My scene, had many dolls, watched all movies and cartoon episodes and played all of the flash games. Also watched Winx and listened to Winx's albums so often I started to drive her family insine. Was also obsessed with PowerPuff Girls. Watches Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor with her younger sister. Mariposa duology are her favorite Barbie movies, Applejack is her favorite pony

Pandora - W.I.T.C.H. girl, collected comics as they were coming out, still has a box with accessories that came with each issue, rewatched the whole show every year, probably forced Regulus watch with her. Watched all of Disney Fairies movies and read all of the books, forever mad that Rani was not in the movies. Fairytopia trilogy stan, had a Bibble plushie. Pinkie Pie is her favorite pony and Aurora and Ariel are her favorite Disney Princesses. Watches Enchanted atleast 3 time per year

Sybill - One of 5 people that remembers Bratzillaz, but never really got into a Bratz. She just really likes a cartoon where a main character is a seer. She also likes Barbie, Rapunzel is her favorite. Religiously watched Addams family cartoon and Laika's movie. Had all 3 MLP G3 movies on DVD and later got obsessed with Friendship is Magic, her favorite is Fluttershy. Her favorite Disney Princesses are Snow White and Aurora. Practical magic is her comfort movie

Emma - Bratz girl, bought many dolls, watched all of the movies, even the live action one and listen to every album. Was also obsessed with Totally spies and Kim Possible, wanted to be a spy until she was 10. Despite being Bratz girl she did seen few Barbie movies, 3 musketeers is probably her favorite. Will unironically say that Kuzco is her favorite Disney Princess, it's actually Jasmine. Also a big fan of Jem and the holograms. Can quote Mean Girls so well it's actually scary

Amelia - one of those Barbie scholars. Not only has she see all of the movies she also knows deep lore of the toy. Don't ask her which movie is her favorite, she cannot choose. Adores Legally Blonde, movie and the musical. Hello Kitty aesthetic. Favorite Disney Princess is Rapunzel. Read Princess Diaries serie and hates to movie for completly ruining the story

Emmeline - MLP stan, can sing every song on Rainbow Rocks soundtrack, her favorite is Twilight, og LyraBon shipper. Also loves Care Bears, definetly annoys everyone by yelling Care Bear Stare while throwing thing at people. Had a massive crush on David Bowie and watch Labyrinth over and over again. Favorite Disney Princess are Ariel and Mulan and favorite Barbie movie is Princess and the Pauper

Lucinda - Evar After High girl, watch the whole show, bought many dolls and had a diary with a key. Thought Somebody to Love was written for Ella Enchanted. Favorite Barbie movie is Thumbelina. Got really into Buffy as she grew older. Grew up with DreamWorks rather than Disney, but Jasmin is probably her favorite princess

Hestia - lived near sea and had a mermaid phase. Watched H2O and Aquamarine almost every day. Marmaid Tale duology stan. Favorite Disney Princess is obviously Ariel and favorite pony is Pinkie Pie. Had a small Sylvanian Families collection. Was also a big Sailor Moon fan. Adores studio ghiblie movies, especially Ponyo. Actually owned the 13th year on DVD, that's how big her obsession with mermaid was

Lily Evans x Slytherin!reader

Summary: you get assigned prefect rounds with your rival- Lily Evans.

Day 25 of mk’s mad dash

“Right, now that we’ve reviewed the rules and new policies, we’ll pass out the rounds assignments for the first term,” Amos Diggory, the new head boy, announced.

Amelia Bones, the new head girl, nodded in agreement, “And because Dumbledore wants us to encourage more interhouse interactions, we’ve decided to partner all of you with someone from a different house.”

You groaned internally. For all the other houses, partnering with each other was not a problem. But as a Slytherin, no one but your own kind wanted to work with you. The green tie and snake status guaranteed you isolation- one that you’d all rather come to enjoy.

Regulus, who was your rounds partner all of last year, glanced at you with a shared look of dismay.

Diggory passed around the rounds assignments and you accepted it with a less than welcoming stare.

You just prayed you weren’t paired with one of Gryffindor’s most obnoxious- Remus Lupin.

It seemed the two prefects were kind enough to not do you that disservice, but not much more than that. Because while you weren’t paired with Lupin, you were still paired with an utterly insufferable Gryffindor.

Lily Evans.

AKA your academic rival.

Aside from Snape, Evans was your biggest competition for the honored title of first in your class. She was a frustrating, kiss ass, know-it-all whose mere presence made your blood boil.

The worst part? She was perfectly fucking nice to you.

It was maddening, not being able to get under her skin at all. It confused you too. You’d witnessed Evans’ temper many times over things much less severe than the attitude with which you treated her.

It made no sense and you had no answers. It only maddened you more.

You let out a quiet huff and turned to Regulus, “I’ve been stuck with fucking Evans.”

Regulus cringed but shrugged his shoulders, “could be worse. I got stuck with Skeeter.”

You outwardly grimaced and shot the obnoxious blonde a rather withering glare, “good fucking luck. Best keep your mouth shut too or all your fucking secrets will be spilled.”

The Black heir scoffed, “I was probably put with her because I don’t talk. Less trouble for Bones and Diggory if someone’s around to control her.”

You hummed in agreement but were stopped short of any response when the subject of your personal dismay approached.

The fiery redhead stood before you with a kind smile that made your stomach turn.

“Evans,” you declared tersely.

“Hi,” she chirped sweetly. She turned to Regulus with a polite nod, “Black.”

“What do you need, Evans?” You sighed.

“Well, as you know, we’re rounds partners, and well, uh, Bones and Diggory have assigned us to first watch.”

You slumped down into your seat and cursed, “Oh bloody fucking hell.”

Regulus snickered at you and it took everything in you not to smack him.

“Rightttt. Well, let’s get to it then. I guess.”

You motioned for Lily to lead the way, falling into step behind her, albeit with less enthusiasm.

After the final few prefects had made their ways back to their houses, the halls grew quiet except for the quiet chatter of a few portraits. You hoped Lily would guarantee you this peace for the whole time, but your hopes weren’t high.

“So did your first day of classes go well?” The redhead asked with interest. Interest you were certain she was feigning to maintain her good-girl act.

“Fine. The same. Except I don’t have to deal with half of my idiot classmates anymore.”

Now that you were in your sixth year, the O.W.L.S. had filtered out many of your classmates who hadn’t had the skills or brain cells to do well in the subjects you prided yourself on. It was a relief, being rid of the potential that you’d be partnered with an idiot. But, like anything, there were downsides too. One being you had nearly every class with Evans now.

“I’m not sure why you ask Evans, seeing as you’re in almost all my classes.”

Instead of being ruffled by your bluntness, she only shrugged, “just being polite. Anyhow, people can do the same thing and come out with different experiences.”

“Don’t I know it,” you grumbled. You thought of all the ways your Hogwarts experience had differed from others simply because of your house status.

Lily was silent for a moment.

“Is there a reason you hate me so much?”

You barely withheld your scoff and tried to maintain your cool, “cause you’re a Gryffindor or whatever.”

She shook her head adamantly at you, “no, that’s not it. You have some personal vendetta against me. Why?”

You looked at her disbelievingly, “don’t play coy with me Evans.”

“I’m not! I genuinely don’t know what I’ve done.”

Rather abruptly you stopped in your tracks and fully turned towards her, “we’re rivals, Evans. And not just because of our houses, but because of school. You’re my… academic rival.”

Her eyebrows furrowed into a mixture of concern and… amusement?

“Rivals? What are we… 12?”

“We’re people who’ve been pitted against each other from the beginning. Pretty sure that makes us rivals,” you spat defensively.

“I think you pitted yourself against me,” Evans corrected.

The look you gave her must say enough, because her face softened a little.

“I’ve never seen you as rival. I’ve actually only ever admired you. For your intelligence, sure, but also for how protective you are of your friends, how you look after the more picked on Slytherins, and how you put your all into everything you do.”

The redhead gazed at you intently- so intently that you felt heat burning in your cheeks.

“But I’ve only ever been mean to you,” you responded warily, “how did… how do you still think of me so positively?”

She shrugged her shoulders and started to walk again, “I just figured it was a defense mechanism. A way to protect yourself. I don’t think you’re truly a mean person.”

“And how do I know you aren’t just saying all this to trick me into trusting you so that you can beat me for first in the class?”

Evans deadpanned to you, “you know our workload. I don’t have the time to come up with such a conceited plan.”

You let out a laugh. An actual laugh, and Lily’s face contorted into a beaming smile.

“Touché.”

You paused thoughtfully.

“I’m still not letting you have first spot, Evans.”

She smiled at you warmly, “I plan on it.”

Had an idea for a fame/modern Marauders au

Sirius Black is an artist, like he paints, and sculpts, he also models sometimes. James Potter is a professional football player. Peter Pettigrew is a screen writer. Remus Lupin is a trophy husband/comedian. Mary Macdonalds is a fashion designer. Dorcas Meadows is a runway model. Marlene McKinnon is a bassist and tattoo artist. Lily Evans is an theater actress, like Broadway acting. Evan Rosier is just a nepo baby. So is Pandora Rosier if I'm being honest but she models sometimes. Barty Crouch Jr is a singer. Regulus Black is a model/works for his parents although hes trying to get away from them. Amelia Bones is a fashion designer for movies. Emmeline Vance is a model.

And I want Sybill Trelawney to be in it too but I don't know what to make her job.

I kinda wanna make her be a psychic, like one in Vegas but idk 😭😭

There'll obviously be Wolfstar and Jegulus, and past Jily bc baby Harry, and marylily or maybe marylilydora (don't know if that's their ship name 😭😭 I forget), and possibly past Bartylus, and Rosekiller, and Peter x Sybill (still don't know their ship name 😭😭), and Amelia x Emmeline (don't know their ship name either 😭)

Rabanstan and Regulus had been dating since their fourth year of Hogwarts, their family's had thought them to be only close friends, as they wanted to hide their relationship from others as they were soon to be wed off to other Pureblood families.

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟖 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐒 𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐃𝐘 𝐀𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑, the Hufflepuff's were telling each other about their holidays, the Ravenclaw's discussing book recommendations and as always the loudest and proudest table of the Lions were shouting at each other from across the table, while the regal House of the Snakes were quietly informing each other of the ins and outs of the rising Dark Lord.

Soon the familiarity was disturbed by a small pop that seemed to echo around the hall, following the sound came a fluttering parchment landing softly in front of the Slytherin Princess. Not expressing her shock, she carefully examined the yellowed parchment with narrowed eyes not yet touching it, she could feel something different radiating from the ink etched inside.

Deeming it safe enough to touch Regulus reached out unfolding it, cold stormy eyes glared at the missive after they had scanned the cursive writing. She let out a scoff handing it carelessly to the outstretched hand of Evan Rosier.

The sound didn't seem to capture anyone's attention for long as everyone went back to doing their own thing once more, that was until the heavy doors of the Great Hall swung open with a force that one was only capable with the help magic.

Heads turned, some quick enough that they could have gotten whiplash others at a relaxed pace, the students eyes, ranging in colours and sizes, all landed on the unusual sight. A group ranging from disgraced families to the most politically powerful all stood together in the wide doorway.

Albus Dumbledore, some would say he was a born leader that would help you through all your troubles others world say he was a dictator who strived for power and manipulated people around him to get what he wanted, stood up from his throne like chare that was placed at the centre of the Professors table.

"My wonderful guests what could possibly be the reasoning for this delightful visit?" The old man asked, power radiated from his voice, some watchful eyes could see trough his carefully crafted façade of a grandfather, they could see he was irritated of the interruption from his tight jaw and suspicious eyes.

"The members of my family and I received missives just after nightfall informing us to attend a meeting at Hogwarts." Lord Arcturus Black was the first to answer.

"As did I and some Aurors in my department." The head of the DMLE, Amelia Bones who had graduated Hogwarts a few years ago and done well for herself, added.

"A letter fell on the Slytherin table a second ago, Professor." Informed Lily Evans, an oddly bright witch for a mudblood.

Dumbledore turned his attention to the aforementioned table, gesturing for someone to read the note aloud.

Evan dramatically flipped the parchment to straighten it and cleared his throat.

Witches and Wizards of the past,

The future is in need of your help, the second Wizarding War ended just one year ago and too much magical blood ran through our streets.

We hope you can change the paths you had previously chosen to go down for the better, we from the future know most of you can change.

When Rosier has finished reading the students of Hogwarts expressed their disbelief in many ways, a small firework display lit up the headmasters face gaining the halls attention.

"That sounds familiar to the one I received this evening." Arthur Weasley announced breaking the silence, little Bill and Charlie swarming his feet while his wife, Molly Weasley, held small Percy close to her chest.

The elderly Headmaster went to speak once more when a flash of light that momentarily blinded the occupance of the hall shone from in front of the Professors table, a dull thud echoed around the hall while everyone was trying clear their vision of white dots. Another was heard then another and another, two more following after.

All of the adults and older students had their wands drawn, the tips pointing toward the mound of flailing limbs suspiciously. Groans and pained moans littered throughout the hill of bodies, insults flying like spells on a battlefield.

"Get your arse out of my face Ronald!" Once voice muffled.

"I would if the ferret moved his bloody foot out of my belly." A male voice replied.

"Hullo Daph, didn't know you had freckles."

"Stop staring into my soul Atlas." Another female voice countered.

A dark hared male lifted himself from the top of the pile hobbling slightly, he bent down next to the others picking something off of the floor and placing it on his face. Familiar rounded glasses greeted them once he turned around, vibrant green eyes hidden behind the glass.

The boys eyes widened at the sight in front of him, his jaw dropped slightly before he turned to the still arguing group. He pulled the second person off, a freckled ginger male that leaned on the first boy to stabilize himself.

He to followed the actions of the first boy revealing a brunette female with chocolate coloured eyes, after her came three boys a bleach blond, sandy blond and raven haired. The sandy haired male outstretched his hand for a blond female that was still situated on the floor, taking his had she hoisted herself up, flattening down her pleated skirt.

The brunette female lifted her hands as a means of surrender, the others following her lead, she stepped forward from the unusual group.

"Did you not receive our letter?" she asked, brows furrowing in confusion. After the question a few wands dropped from their targets.

Dumbledore let out an 'ah' sound. "So you would be our friends from the future."

"Yes Professor Dumbledore, we have compiled eight muggle like films using our memories to show you all your future." The brunette explained.

"Wonderful! How about you introduce yourselves, full names, ages and parents perhaps." Albus suggested.

"oh um- yeah of course." She stutters before continuing. " I'm Hermione jean Granger, I am seventeen years old, I was a Gryffindor and you wouldn't know my parents."

The ginger went next.

"Ron Weasley, seventeen, I was a Gryffindor as well and my parents are Arthur and Molly Weasley." He concluded, Fabian and Gideon Prewitt started teasing there sister about having more children before the Ron boy spoke up once more.

"There are three more of us, not including me, at home." Laughter rung from the people who knew the blushing couple.

Next up was the blond girl.

"Merry Meet, I am Heir Daphne Clarity Greengrass of the Noble house of Greengrass, I'm seventeen years old, Slytherin and my parents are Aden and Clarity Greengrass. I also have a younger sister at home called Astoria"

Clarity Selwyn cooed at the sight of her beautiful, eldest daughter while Aden wrapped his arm around his girlfriends shoulder.

Continuing the introductions was the sandy blond male.

"Merry Meet, I am Heir Theodore Taddius Nott, Seventeen, Slytherin and my parents are Taddius and Ashlyn Nott."

Taddius nodded slightly at the boy, the corners of his lips twitching, while Ashlyn Flint gave the boy a warm smile.

"Merry Meet, I am Heir Draco Lucius Malfoy of the Ancient and Noble House of Malfoy, I am Seventeen and was a Slytherin at Hogwarts, my parents are Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy."

Narcissa Black clasped a hand to her mouth to cover her shock, Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black shaking her shoulders in excitement. Lucius gained a pat on the shoulder from his father Abraxas Malfoy.

"Hello, I'm Harry James Potter, I was in Gryffindor, I am seventeen and my parents are James and Lily Potter."

A group of four boys were on the edge of their seats waiting, after finding out his sons mother was his long time crush James leaned over the table pecking Lily's cheek. The girl in question was stunned but gave her son a small welcoming wave.

The last boy was the tallest of the group, he had an intimidating aura but the boyish smile on his face made most girls and some boys swoon.

"Merry Meet, I am Atlas Corvus Lestrange of the most Ancient and Noble House of Lestrange, I am a seventeen year old Slytherin and my Parents are..." He patted his knees in a drum roll causing laughter around the hall. "Rabastan Lestrange and Regulus Black."

You could hear a pin drop, Regulus' eyes widened slightly before Barty Crouch Jr jumped from his seat. "You owe me fifty Galleons Rosier!"

Walburga Black walked over to her daughter, at the sight of her mother Regulus lowered her head hoping she didn't punish her for choosing her own partner, she was pleasantly surprised by the pat on her shoulders

"Good choice Regulus." Walburga said before leaving back to sand next to her husband Orion Black.

Regulus was shocked by the affection but she wasn't left in her thoughts long as she was pulled into a tight hug by her boyfriend.

"I love you Reg." Rabastan whispered affectionately in her ear, she countered it before letting go and giving her son a motherly smile that made him tear up behind his mask.

"Now why don't we get some sleep so we can watch these films when we are refreshed tomorrow." The Headmaster announced to the mass of the Great Hall.

Pairing : Regulus Black x Fem! Reader

Synopsis : You begin an unlikely friendship with the little Black. And soon your whole life seems to have become a tumultuous pathway. The catch, James Potter is your brother.

The first quidditch match of the year was gonna start soon, even though you had not such interest in the game, you were still sitting on the bleachers, immersed in your book. Learning everything and more was a motto of yours, you had Fliwick and Slughorn impressed and ready to teach you the advanced stuff. Professor Mcgonagoll was clever yet kind. But it was in defense against the dark arts, you had to strive, cause just as the rumors stated, the teacher changed every single year.

The horn blew and the players entered the field, their green robes flicking beneath their feet as they moved forward. Your eyes swiftly shifted to the newest addition to the Slytherin team, who stood with nothing but a expression etched in stone. That's how it has mostly been since the start of 2nd year, you could only imagine all what happens in the grimmauld place.

Not that you didn't know, you had been exchanging letters most of the system, it was a well established system. After Walburga almost catched your letter, Regulus had sent you a panicked one to not send him one in such a time that his mother might see. Since then, he received your letters at twillight, while you received his at midnight.

The horn blew again, indicating the beginning of the match, all players mounted their brooms and took off soaring. Amelia jumped next to you, "I'm so excited, who do you think will win?"

"Whoever gets the snitch" you remarked, looking at the seekers. It was a Slytherin vs Ravenclaw match, although Regulus was good, the Ravenclaw was a 4th year, so naturally nothing definite could be concluded. Not like you had hopes on any particular one.

Your eyes shifted between the game and the book, until it became too intense and you were solely watching the game. The players flew wildly, with little understanding and Amelia explaining most of it, you were able to conclude some things. The game was in full motion when Regulus stopped mid air, causing the other seeker to stop too and look around in confusion. Regulus raised his hands and in his palm was the golden snitch. The whole side of Slytherin students stood, and jumped in excitement. The match was won.

The after party was held in the common room, filled with people dancing and cheering, you were sitting at the corner, having a rapid discussion with a drunk 6th year, though it did end quickly leaving you bored.

Your eyes wandered until they landed on a tuft of raven hair, who was sneaking out. Considering you had nothing better to do, you sneaked out after him, until you reached the top most floor of Hogwarts, the astronomy tower. Regulus sat on the floor infront of the big balcony, "Aren't you coming?" you jumped at the unexpected noise, he hadn't even turn around, damn him.

You sat beside him, marveling at the stars scattered shining across the plane, the view up here was breathtaking.

"Why are you not at the party" he asked.

"It was boring, besides I saw the star seeker leaving, thought it'd be more interesting" your cheeky reply earned a quiet chuckle, "Star seeker is a bit too snobbish, don't you think".

You shrugged, "I think it's perfectly fitting". You laughed at his groan but then you turned somber, "Reg"

"Huh"

"Everything's okay?" you looked at him pointedly, not letting him avoid the topic.

"Why won't it be" he replied avoiding your gaze, "It's the usual, just a bit more" his smile didn't reach his eyes.

"You know you can talk to me right" you said meeting his eyes.

"I do know so" he replied meeting your gaze.

"Also I forgot, Congratulations on your first match" you said patting his shoulders.

He paused for a moment before grinning, "Give me your hand.

You lilted your hand curiously, extending it, he place the small golden ball on it. "The Snitch" you whispered excitedly, examining it, it was your first time seeing the hogwarts one up close.

Regulus watched your face scrunch in wonder, "You can keep it, if you want".

You grinned "Really".

Regulus looked with a smug expression, "Yeah, I'm just gonna get more, star seeker remember"

And so he did, Regulus was one of the reasons Slytherin's performance in quidditch improved and went hand in hand or broom in broom with the Gryffindors who had been previously dominating most of the matches.

However nothing changed for good in the house of black, The black brothers looked plauged everytime they returned from may it be for Christmas or summer break. They refused to acknowledge each other, it was as if a force was pulling them apart. Regulus had not tried to talk to Sirius anymore, claiming it would be worthless anyway. It felt wrong for you to meddle inbetween them, so you decided to just be there for him.

Whenever he returned, it would take you days to get back a genuine smile from him, opening him up little by little. If it were up to you you would have taken him out of there, long time ago. But all you could do, and did do was to be there with him, the astronomy tower became yours hangout place. However it may be, you were glad to be friends.

002 | Give me a character & I will tell you

How I feel about this character: I love Sirius Black. He is a fabulous character, so rich, and so important to Harry. He's got a dark side, he's got this soft, paternal side. He's got all this grief and no outlet for it. He's loving, intense, and giving.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: pre-fanfic days, no one. I just saw him as a single man, with little to no interest in romance post-Azkaban. Post-fanfic days, I've got a few ideas. I like Kingsley and Sirius together, this sort of very cool, collected Auror interested in the dark, brilliant, brooding man in a haunted house. I have the same vibe when I think of Amelia Bones and Sirius Black - another pairing I've considered. Justice, fairness, and calm meets intense, handsome, and devoted. Plus, I love, LOVE the notion of Sirius having to contend with a pureblood as a lover, because it's not a rebellion, it's a direct conflict with what he's trying to eschew. I'll also ship James & Sirius, but only rarely.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: James & Sirius, 1000%. they were the original two and they added the others into their little club, so they're going to be the tightest-knit. I see James as being the one willing to invite Remus and Peter. For as much as Sirius liked to be the rebel and fight against his family, I don't think you can let go of your family ideals overnight.

My unpopular opinion about this character: He is not a himbo. He is brilliant. He is an extremely flawed social justice warrior. He is VERY specific about what kind of people he wants to protect and fight for. Even when that falls to the 'right' side of history, he's not going to be a saint in his approach. This is why I like him with someone like Kingsley or Amelia, who do appear very fair in the way they go about things. I like the idea of someone grounding Sirius, and it needs to be someone who has the legs to stand on for that grounding.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: more Harry and Sirius, my poor beans.

my OTP: lately I've been on a Blackbolt kick. I'll go with Kingsley x Sirius.

my cross over ship: none, not a crossover person.

a headcanon fact: Sirius loved Regulus fiercely and he didn't leave home until it was clear Regulus wasn't going with him.
