SETTING: HSH/LMTCOY VERSE.
CIRCUMSTANCES: NOT IN CRISIS/BASELINE.
QUESTION: WHAT ARE THEIR PERSONAL HYGIENE PRACTICES? AND WHICH PAIR OF LINKS HAVE THE MOST INCONGRUENT STANDARDS.
Have you truly prepared yourself for these answers, friend?
The general rule is that each of the boys has the sense to shower after a good workout or getting gross in some other way, no matter what their daily hygiene routine is otherwise. Under the cut because I had a TON to say about this apparently. I never even knew.
Time - He's a morning shower guy. He needs it to wake up and, since he likes to run or work out in the mornings, it makes for efficient timing. Plus let's be real, he's not getting the volume in those bangs unless he applies it in the morning, every morning. He prefers to be clean-shaven, making that therefore a daily duty. He used to use a combination shampoo and conditioner before Warriors got to him, and even if his hair is softer now he sure as hell isn't going to admit that to anyone. If he has a particularly eventful day at work, he'll have an evening shower as soon as he gets home, too--very hot and very, very thorough, followed by an aspirin nightcap.
Twilight - He's such a night-showerer. I attribute it to being raised on a farm. He gets up, he gets shit done, in fact he's getting shit done the whole day long so that by the time he's through Twi is ready for a hearty meal, some time to shoot the shit with his friends, and a hot shower before bed. He's not too fussed about making sure his stubble is shaved down every day, although for an event or something he's sure to be clean-shaven. Doesn't believe in conditioner. Twi's toxic trait is using the same towel for a week or more.
Wild - Showers occur daily, although at random times of the day. Maybe it's right after breakfast. Maybe he has to prep something for dinner, so he hops in sometime in the afternoon. Shaving occurs when he feels like it, although his facial fuzz is pretty sparse so it never matters much. His real barrier to entry is the length of his hair and the time it takes to dry it. Thus, hair washing is a once- to twice-weekly event at most. You know he uses Mane n' Tail shampoo, and he swears by conditioner, mainly because it helps him comb through all the tangles. He doesn't dry his hair, just plops it on top of his head in a towel or braids it damp to keep it out of his way. You always know it was a wash day because there's a six to eight-inch ring of dampness outside of the shower curtain. Hope none of the other boys were keeping a dry towel in there for any reason.
Champion - Showers after every work-out, so at least once but often twice a day, morning and afternoon. His showers are thorough but short: quick shave once a day every day, shampoo, soap up, rinse all at once. He's in an out of the shower in six minutes flat. He washes his hair EVERY time and towels it dry (RIP those split ends). Fastidious but utilitarian, Champion isn't one for conditioner or aftershave. He also didn't start using antiperspirant until he was in the Guard and saw that everyone else used it.
Warriors - There are two types of showers for this man. The first is the daily affair, usually taken as soon as he wakes up. He starts by warming the water while brushing his teeth (recharging electric toothbrush only) and inspecting his brows, then washing his face with a gentle cleanser containing salicylic acid (the only boy on the list so far who does), followed by a thorough shampoo and conditioning (this is the longest part of the routine). While the conditioner sets he takes a moment to inspect his nails and attend to any cuticle mishaps, then there's a rich lathering of shaving foam applied to his face, his underarms, maybe his legs if he needs it that day. (Before you ask: the hardwood floors get addressed by a trusted professional, licensed and bonded). He has a natural sponge for washing and exfoliation. Once all that's done, he has specific microfiber twist-towels for his hair (I hc he has natural waves or loose curls) and his towels are white and washed in unscented detergent. The rest of his routine has to be attended to in his room; he's already been in the bathroom well over the prescribed 20 minutes per shower, according to Legend. His other type of shower is the Spa Night affair, and that's more of a bath situation.
Sky - Ohhh Sky darling. I love him so, and his hygiene practices are adequate, but somewhat questionable in my book. He's a morning showerer, definitely needs that wake-up rinse, and the bathroom is his stop immediately after chugging orange juice at the fridge each morning. (Yes, right out of the carton. Yes, his name's on it.) He's an electric razor guy because it's quick. He always gets in the shower before the water is warm enough because he's impatient in the mornings, and he subsequently gets burned when it gets too hot and has to stand outside the spray doing that quick-reach-for-the-handles-and-shrink-back thing until it's cool enough to resume. My biggest hangup is that he uses a combination shampoo-conditioner-body wash product. Because it's quick. His hair is fluffy because it's probably dry as shit. The other thing about Sky is that he never EVER remembers to lock the bathroom door, so whenever he's in the shower it's a free-for-all if anyone else wants to come in and brush their teeth or whatever.
Legend - In the beginning, when he was living with Hyrule in that first apartment, Legend wasn't a daily showerer. He was pretty fucking depressed, so it ended up being every third or fourth day, at least until he came around to realizing "Hey, this kills some time." He's another random-time-of-day showerer, and sometimes it's an overnight affair if he's out working late with Ravio (like, 2-4am). He'll use cheap drugstore shampoo and body wash, and on occasion will shamelessly use some of War's expensive bullshit conditioner for a special occasion. One of the few boys to use a hair dryer regularly. His toxic trait is putting his hat back on before his hair is completely dry, making the hair at the top of his head kind of stringy and limp most times.
Hyrule - Listen. Med school makes you a very versatile showerer. Hyrule has literally no preference for taking a morning or an evening shower anymore. Whenever he's awake enough and has enough time to spare is when he does it. He functions best with nighttime showers because it gives him ample time in the mornings to have his coffee and a slow wake-up. Rulie's hair is naturally curly, so his haircare routine is different from most. He actually doesn't use shampoo at all. He conditions every day, sometimes two rounds if he makes his little scalp scrub with brown sugar. He does a quick blind shower-shave and prefers a loofah. His toxic trait used to be towel-drying his hair until Warriors made him swear to never do it again. Now he wisely lets it air dry.
Four - Mister Nevernude showers before dinner since his work can get him fairly messy. At the very least, soldering leaves an awful smell in your hair. He's another user of cheap drugstore shampoo, he's not fond of conditioner, and is a bar-of-soap kind of guy. He used to take lightning-fast showers in the beginning until he really settled in to the house, and now he's in there for a more reasonable 10 minutes or so. He goes in fully clothed, he comes out fully clothed. Like Twilight, he unfortunately uses the same towel all week. He only has one, really, and just throws it in the laundry together with the rest of his clothing.
Wind - He is, unfortunately, not a daily showerer. He might go every other or even every third day, depending. That's only if he's shut in his room for a day or three, though. There's enough Axe body spray to make up for those days, at least in his mind. If he's going out, he has the sense to wash. He prefers coconut-scented products, uses a combination shampoo/conditioner product, and rarely remembers to replenish his body wash at the store so commonly chooses from some of his roommate's. He doesn't shave religiously but his facial fuzz is still fine and blonde, so it's not the worst.

Hello! If you do have any recommendations for skincare I would like them, acne is annoying lmao
OH BOY YES I DO!
okay so all skin has different sensitivities and needs and all that so what works for me might not work for you. there's a lot of different avenues you can go down for acne treatment but I'll try to go through things I know work for most people
this is gonna be long so putting it under a read more
first off, you gotta be washing your face twice a day if you don't already. I use cetaphil daily face wash which you can find in most drugstores, but another drugstore brand I've heard is very good is cervave! both brands have several different kinds of face wash, some that are more specific for acne, some that are hydrating if you have issues with dry skin, and some that are made for sensitive skin if you deal with irritation. I'd go through the different products they have and see what looks like it'd work best for you
most acne-specific face products use salicylic acid since that's a chemical proven to reduce oil and all that, but if you've used salicylic acid stuff and don't notice any improvement, you might want to try benzoyl peroxide acne products! panoxyl is another drugstore brand that carries acne face and body washes with benzoyl peroxide, and I use that for my chest and back acne (jury is still out as to if its actually helping or not. I'm still trying to figure out if salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide works better. do your research on both to see which one will work better for you!)
now if you want to add more than just face wash there is a whole variety of serums out there! my god tier, number one serum that I don't know how I lived without until now is niacinamide. niacinamide has been proven through research trials to be effective in reducing the amount of sebum (oil produced from your pores) your skin produces, and also reduces redness in skin. there are a lot of serums you can get that's a mix of stuff with niacinamide in it, but if you want a serum that's just straight up niacinamide (which I would recommend if you want to test out if it actually benefits you) both good molecules and the ordinary sell bottles of it for $6. the ordinary's serum is 10% niacinamide with 1% zinc, with the zinc there because I guess it's hydrating? good molecules is just 10% niacinamide without any zinc. there really isn't much of a difference between the two products, but for some reason good molecules serum worked way better for my skin than the ordinary's did, although I've known plenty of people who use the ordinary's version and love it.
(note: while both bottles say you can apply these niacinamide serums twice a day, in clinical trials it was shown that 5% niacinamide is what's effective on skin and they have no evidence higher concentrations does anything. so since these are both 10% niacinamide, you might want to just apply it once a day to reduce any risk of irritation)
if you have oily skin you might be hesitant about using moisturizer, but you have to use it bc if you try to dry your skin out your skin will just produce excess oil in response. what you want to look for in a face moisturizer is anything that's oil-free and non-comedogenic, which means it won't clog your pores. ideally, get a moisturizer that has spf in it as well (at least spf 30), that way you don't have to add an extra step to apply sunscreen on your face every day. right now I use cetaphil's daily face moisturizer with spf 35, but before that when I was a teen I used cetaphil's dermacontrol oil absorbing moisturizer with spf 30. the difference is that the dermacontrol is a bit more expensive, but it works to reduce the oil on your face so it's for people who really struggle with oily acne-prone skin. both products are oil-free and non-comedogenic so neither one will clog your pores. which one you use just depends on how oily your skin is
as far as taking care of individual pimples, while I've tried spot treatments with salicylic acid from the ordinary and good molecules, I don't really notice them doing much for me. what DOES make a difference is hydrocolloid pimple patches which dry out the skin and can really help reduce pimples. I like panoxyl's pimple patches, and you can get a pack of 40 for $8-$10
these are just the essentials for me! if you want any more 'special' products like masks or exfoiliants or oils lmk and I'll make a post about those but this is already long enough lol. I linked the products to their brand websites but you can find most of these either in drugstores, on amazon, or in stores like ulta or sephora
hope this helps!

The most difficult thing is not peeling, not dark yellow, but your skin at the same time peeling, dry, rough and long mouth.
I have observed that many people actually have the most long mouth when the autumn and winter change, and the skin that does not have a long mouth in summer prefers this season to be long, and the cheeks feel rough, and the mouth is tight and dry. At the same time, "hydration can not be filled" (quotes here), that is, applying various moisturizing ingredients, or even directly applying creams and oils, all feel floating on the face, the skin is still dry and tight, and then the oil is more severe.
If you have experienced the above phenomenon recently, try the following methods:
1, after washing your face in the evening, spray a layer of moisturizing water first, and then apply a layer of lactose acid on the rough, not smooth and closed skin
2, wash off before going to bed, if you feel tight after lactose acid, you can spray a little water, pure water is also OK, better with moisturizing water
3, you can apply a refreshing repair cream before going to bed, such as pocket cream
4, if the skin is very, very dry, that chin mouth and mouth peeling, lactose acid will sting, do not use lactose acid, stop makeup makeup, wash your face, and then apply hibiscus honey or repair dressing in the peeling place for 3 days, 15-30 minutes after washing off, go to bed at night with a sufficient amount of repair cream
5, the skin does not peel thoroughly after 3-5 days and then use lactose acid to treat closed and rough parts
6, the skin always feels dry, but also out of the oil (" external oil dry "), just find a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, that is, you usually paint too sticky, now use just: the whole face to apply 1-2, while spraying water, so that moisturizing ingredients fully lock the water lock, and then over half an hour or so clean face.
Continuous use for 3-5 days, this is to give the stratum corneum full "water" to improve the water content of the stratum corneum, so that the skin feels: I am fully hydrated, and the moisturizing system can work normally
7, the humidifier should be opened quickly + Drink enough water every day, skin care how to moisturize the skin is dry no oil, the body is also very dry, you can take a little fish oil to relieve dry skin
The above method can solve the vast majority of autumn and winter seasons, dry skin is not smooth problem, if the mouth is still not completely subsided, do not peel after the point of salicylic acid or vitamin A.
· The reason why the skin will have such strange problems in autumn and winter is actually related to the disorder of the cuticle moisturizing system:
The environment suddenly becomes dry, and the function of some hydrolases in the skin, such as desmosomes, decreases
The dead skin that should be removed can not be removed, and it has become a piece of skin on the face, which is also dry, and also affects the effect of your moisturizing products, how to moisturize and feel dry, and then the skin is more serious, a vicious circle……
However, you can not simply exfoliate because the dead skin can not be removed, so that although the peeling is gone and the skin becomes smooth, it can not solve the essential problem of dry skin and can not lock water, and it will be more prone to redness, tingling, and dry sensitivity.
Therefore, when you feel useless to replenish oil and apply various ingredients, if you can't make these enzymes work normally again, you will always feel "external oil inside dry" and your face feels rough and not smooth
The benefits of lactoic acid are: it can gently metabolize dead skin, but also promote skin moisturizing hydration, so that the skin's own moisturizing ability becomes good, so it is particularly suitable for autumn and winter.
At the same time, you need to open the humidifier, including intensive application of some water-catching ingredients (such as hyaluronic acid) and then spray a lot of water, so that the cuticle feels that it is hydrated again, and the skin returns to work normally, and this wave of the season is even spent smoothly.
This group of methods is also more effective than the mask, although the mask can improve the hydration ability, but only temporarily, and if the skin has been slightly peeled, personal feeling after the mask will be more serious the next day (the feeling of white repair the day before, the emulsion emulsion mask is a little better), so if you have been wearing the mask has been peeling, the problem may be here.

Skin Diary: Skin Tag Removal at Glam & Fab Aesthetic Center
I first realized the existence of warts (also known as skin tags) when I was 20, because the electrocautery procedure came with our health insurance card at that time and so I was entitled to get mine monthly/quarterly. So I had mine done at The Medical City that time and it already cost around 2,000pesos (This was in 2011!). Good thing I paid nothing because of our health card lol
Tumblr media
(Most recent photo I took a month after the procedure)
Fast forward to my recent visit at Glam & Fab, I had my skin fully examined. Turns out I have some on my jaw area, a few on my right temple, and my neck. They were all barely noticeable because they were flat and maybe because I’ve got lighter skin, so I never really thought about it that much. I wanted to get rid of them all so I decided to get the warts removal treatment at Glam & Fab’s Kalentong Branch.
Why should you do this regularly
I didn't know I had them at that time not until the dermatologist examined my skin. Warts are often harmless, and in my case, barely noticeable. But they can spread so it’s very important to address them immediately. You usually get them from skin to skin contact, even from the mere fact that you share things (clothes, towel, etc...) with someone who has them.
What to expect
Tumblr media
It involves “burning” the skin tags off. But topical anesthesia will be applied an hour before the procedure.
It will hurt if you’re not used to skin treatments. If you have medium to high pain tolerance like me, it won’t bother you at all. To compare, it stings pretty much like laser set on high.
After clearing all the warts/skin tags, you’ll start seeing small scabs (and this is a good sign!)
I’m so thankful to the nurse assigned to me because she was so gentle with the process. She checked on me every single time to make sure I’m not feeling any discomfort. She’s so detailed that I think she got every little bit that needs to be removed! Even the ones I don’t even see!
Aftercare
Don’t wash the treated area for at least 12 hours.
Apply Erythromycin twice a day. You can get it from Glam & Fab Clinic as well.
NEVER EVER pick your scabs. Let them fall off naturally because it’s part of the healing process. Again, don’t pick them off or else you’ll slow the healing down and most likely cause scarring.
Skip any skincare product that has strong active ingredients for at least a week. (Retinol, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, AHA/BHA). Just stick to a gentle facial wash and hypoallergenic/non-comedogenic moisturizer
Healing Period
It takes around 3 to 7 days for the scabs to completely fall off.
In some cases like mine, the scabs were all gone on the 3rd day, but the discoloration is still healing.
Tumblr media
Healing time is different for every individual. My face is completely free of any marks from the warts removal in just two weeks. Although my neck still has some discoloration from the electrocauterization and it’s because my skin tags there were more prominent. It’s probably also because I have light (pale) skin, so the marks take longer to completely vanish. The rightmost photo is taken under broad daylight so you can see the marks still there, although they are beginning to lighten up and I’m gonna ask if I can laser them up on my next Glam & Fab visit. hihihi~
Here’s the most recent photo I took last August 9 and the marks are still there but barely noticeable. The ones on my face are all gone, just the marks around my neck. Note that I had my treatment last June 30.
Tumblr media
Price and How to Book
Here’s their price list! But their skin professionals will examine your skin first and the price will depend on how much warts are to be removed.
Tumblr media
It’s very easy to book your appointment at Glam & Fab. Just message them through Facebook or Instagram and choose which among their 8 branches nationwide you’d like to visit.

Tumblr media
— Warnings: flirty jaemin all over
— Genre: fluffy, friendstolovers!au (almost a enemiestolovers!au tbh)
— Words: 3.7k
— Summary: “Jaemin has been trying to get your attention for a few months. He misses your friendship, but since he decided to also confess his hidden feelings towards you too, he’s been trying to get you to go on a date with him as well, which is not the easiest thing to do when you are the biggest moody he knows.”
Tumblr media
“You know I won’t stop this until you say "yes", right?” Jaemin walked faster till he could block your way. The son of a bitch had a smirk on his face while he stared at you with his tilted head. How dared him to appeal to cuteness? You had to fight against the desire to punch it out of his face. “Come on, just say you'll go have dinner with me. It’s just one date, it will be fun.”
This was the third time in a week. You were starting to lose your patience with him.
“Breaking my heart won't be fun, so, I pass.” You tapped his chest twice before giving him a forced smile and bumping into his shoulder when you walked past him.
You heard him take a deep breath and the first thing that crossed your mind was “Finally.”, but did you speak too soon? Hell yeah. A second later he went after you again.
“I'm not gonna break your heart, why you think I would do that?” You heard his voice right behind you. You could literally hear him smiling when he spoke. What on earth could make that boy just leave you alone?
“You're bad news, Jaemin.” You turned to face him, making the boy stop walking. “I've been there, done that and now I just don't want to do it all again when I know exactly where it takes. There is too much negativity in our work already, have you looked around?” You mentioned everywhere around you two. "I don’t need more negativity in my love life as well. Besides, I’m seeing someone tonight.”
“Bullshit.” Jaemin chuckled, expecting that your attitude would change, but when he saw you remained still, his smile disappeared. “Wait, for real? Who are you seeing?”
“I'm seeing myself.” You replied, with a now sincere smile on your face. “I spend too much time on missions, I’m taking the night off to take care of myself. Just leave me alone, okay? Go practice, punch some people, set the whole place on fire,” You started to list all the things he could do, counting each one of them with your fingers. “I DON'T CARE, just go live your life!” You pointed your finger at him before turning your back at him and continuing your path, smiling at yourself when you sensed no one following you.
                                                            ...
“Just a second!” You said after you heard someone knocking on your door. You had just finished your bath and there was still a towel on your head, involving in your hair. You thought about quickly drying your hair with it before going to the door, but when you heard knocking again, you just rolled your eyes, imagining that it has to be Jeno looking for his games again. “Jeno, I've already told you I did not take your games, go ask someone else.”
Knock. Knock. Knock. Again.
And then it started to become louder.
And noisy.
And annoying.
“OKAY, FINE! I'll let you scan my room if that makes you stop slamming--” You stopped yourself when you opened the door and saw Jaemin, leaning against your wall.
He automatically smiled when he saw your face.
You automatically wanted to punch his face.
You had no makeup on and a freaking towel on your head! This had to be Jaemin's worst move ever.
“Before you ask or curse at me, I'm seeing someone tonight.” He proudly announced.
Great, he came here to brag about his newer conquer. Or the most foolish girl in the base. You would much rather him doing this than following you around like he was your shadow, so you thought you could go along with.
“Oh, really? That is amazing, who is the idiot?” You faked an excited tone, as you smiled at him, leaning your head against your door.
“You.” His smile grew bigger as your smile faded away. “I mean, you’re not an idiot, I’m just seeing “yourself” tonight.” He motioned the quotation marks with his fingers, reminding you of the words you had said earlier. The next thing you knew, he was in your room.
You closed your door with the biggest scowl on your face. Just when you thought you had ended this nonsense. Jaemin went straight to your bed, letting a few plastic bags laying there as he started to take out a bunch of products.
''Excuse me, but this is my room and I do not remember inviting you over." You started your lecture, in crossing arms as the boy pretty much ignored you. "Hello?" Your voice tone went higher, making him stare at you and restrain himself from giggling, letting just a small smile appear on his lips as he went back to ignore you.
He wanted to laugh at you, and you were not feeling it today.
"Jaemin, what the hell? I thought I told you to leave me alone! What are you even doing here?!" You exploded, clearly annoyed as both of your hands went to your head. You were on the edge of beating him all up and the thought of hearing Taeyong's lecture after it didn't even bother you. Listening to Taeyong's "You can't beat family up." speech would be damn worth it.
"What type of facial cleanser do you like the most? One with salicylic acid or one with aloe vera?" He looked at you for the first time since he had entered your room, showing you two cleansers on his hands. You were, again, shocked and angry at his capacity of acting normally. "Don't stare at me like that, you said the reason why you couldn't go onal a date with me was that you were taking care of yourself tonight, so I also decided to take care of myself, with you." He smiled at the end of the sentence, turning back his attention to the plastic bag, and taking a few more items out of there.
Unexpected wasn't even the beginning to explain how that situation felt for you. You wanted to feel shy about being only in your pajamas and no bra on. You wanted to feel angry at his persistence. You wanted to feel ashamed for having no makeup on. You wanted to stain his ridiculous pink hair into red with his blood...
"I didn't know what type of moisturizer you liked the most, so I brought one of each. A serum, an eye cream, an essence... I don't really know what they do. I barely know how to wash my face properly." he added, giving himself a little chuckle and still acting like everything was okay.
You wanted to yell at him. Punch, kick, scratch his whole face, broke a few of his bones... but at the end of the day, you knew it wouldn't work, so you decided to try the easy way. You sat down on your bed and watched Jaemin while he finished his apparently enjoyable process of putting all of those products on your bed — you also took this time to calm yourself down as well — and when he finished, he sat on your bed and looked at you.
"Jae, I thought I'd made myself clear earlier. Why are you here?" You questioned in the calmest voice tone you could.
"I told you, I'm here to take care of myself."
"Why don't you just take care of yourself in your room?" You asked, mentally scolding yourself for sounding a little rude. You were trying the easy way, so no snapping at him.
"Because I've just realized I don't really know how to. Look at this amount of products, I don't use half of them and to be honest, I didn’t even know they existed in the first place! So I thought maybe you could teach me."
"And what makes you so sure that I know how to use these? Just because I'm a woman you think I'm obliged to know how to do it?”
"Of course not. I overheard you teaching Jisung how to use a facemask and I thought maybe you would know how to help me." He explained, taking a sheet of facemask and swinging for you to see it, but your stare remained only on his face. "This is not a date. This is just two childhood friends doing a skincare routine together." he reassured you, pointing at a picture frame with an old photo of you, him and the others on it.
"No second intentions?" You asked him.
"Not at all. My only focus here is learning how to... How do they say? How to chemical exfoliate my face?" His face twisted at how weird that sounded like. "I think I might have skipped a few chemistry classes, I would die without knowing I can apply something like NaCl to my face."
"You really don't know shit about this, do you?" You asked, not believing that you were actually considering not kicking the pink-haired boy out of your room.
You watched him shrugged and for a moment, you really tried to remember the last time you had cultivated your friendship with him, and although it seemed like a dumb question to make, the awareness that it brought made you feel guilty: You couldn't even remember the last time you and your childhood friend had done something together. You have avoided him so badly for the past few months that you completely ignored the fact that the two of you are still friends.
"Okay."
"Okay?" He asked in shock.
"Okay." You repeated the small word, silently hoping that you wouldn't regret that decision. When Jaemin started to celebrate, you took your pillow and pointed at him. "But if you try anything else, I'll suffocate you." You threatened him with the most serious expression you could pull off.
"Suffocate me from kissing? Oh, I wouldn't mind being out of breath for that." Jaemin smirked at you, quickly pulling the pillow from you before you could throw it at him, causing you to give him your usual death stare that burned his whole face. "I know, I know, no flirting. I will not do it again, I promise."
                                                          ...
"So, you're not that bad of a hairdresser yourself, huh?" You amazed at the view of your own image in the mirror. Jaemin was putting your blowdryer back to its place in your closet; however, he came back in a heartbeat when he heard you complimenting him. He had to make you he wasn't going crazy and listening to non-existent words. "You actually managed not to destroy my hair completely, I'm surprised."
"Excuse me, sweetie?" Jaemin inquired in an offended tone. "Have you seen this little masterpiece right on top of my head? If I didn't know how to take care of it, I would be walking around with my hair looking like Jeno's burned pasta."
"Ew. You didn't have to go there." Your disgusted face at the mention of Jeno’s attempt of cooking made Jaemin laugh. It was nice to be around you again, he missed you, but before he could say anything about it, he started to check on his face mask on your bathroom's mirror. "I think this is almost dry, should I take it off and wash my face?" He wondered at himself, making your eyes go wide-open when he finished his sentence. "What? No, no, no! You can't wash all the moisture away." "Then what do I do?" "Stay still." You demanded as you walked closer to him.
You couldn't remember the last time you had been this close to Jaemin. Maybe when you were 13? 15? To be honest, you didn’t even remember how nice it was to have him around. You two had become so busy with the mafia schedules and missions, that every time the boys wanted to get together and chill a little, you would say you were tired, which means: You hadn’t had spent time with any of your friends for about some years. And every time one of them tried to talk to you about something, you’d be annoyed. Just like you did with Jeno about his lost games.
The award of the best friend of the year? You weren’t getting it.
As your mind was drowning with those thoughts, you spaced out as your hands massaged Jaemin's entire face with the lotion that had remained on his face from the sheet mask.
When did he become so tall? You quietly wondered to yourself.
Your hands were gently sliding through his entire face and when you decided to bring a little bit of the lotion down to his neck, you really regretted that decision. How have you not noticed his jawline before?
“Ooo, that's nice.” Jaemin let a deep breath get off of his lips, tilting his head to the side, so you could continue pressing your hands to his neck.
“They say the warmth in our hands helps our skin to better absorb the product.” You addressed.
He’s... handsome.
YOU COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU WERE THINKING THOSE WORDS. But you were. And the worst part? You were also enjoying the moment. With him. With Na Jaemin. The stubborn boy who had annoyed you for months asking you for a chance. A chance you had thought he didn’t deserve. But who were you to determine whether he deserved or not when you didn’t even know who he truly was anymore? He wasn't the same from years ago and neither was you.
"Thank you." You were shaken up from your thoughts by the feel of Jaemin's hand touching yours, that was still placed on his neck. He was smiling at you, and dammit, even his smile was beautiful. Did that boy have any flaws at all? "I really was missing out a lot from this whole skincare thing. I’m glad you taught me how to do it.” He chuckled, getting up from the small chair you had to bring to your bathroom earlier so he could blowdry your hair properly.
You literally had forced him to seat down so you could massage his face with the remaining lotion. And you didn't notice it. You were too busy getting drunk from the smell of his perfume. It smelled nice.
And you were indeed going crazy. You even shook your head trying to stop yourself from thinking too much, but what Jaemin did next forced you to make a decision about these thoughts.
"Well, time to leave." He announced, taking up the chair from the floor and leaving you almost heartbroken behind. You... didn't want him to leave.
As confused as someone in your situation could be, you followed the boy out of your room and watched Jaemin packing up his many skincare products back to his plastic bags, debating if you should say the words that were crossing through your mind.
Would you regret it? Probably.
“Unless you want to stay and eat some snacks with me.”
Jaemin froze.
“Are you serious?” he asked, which surprised you who had thought he was going to make a little comment with that damn smirk on his face.
“Yeah, I always keep some snacks in my room in case I want to watch tv shows or movies at night.” You shrugged, trying to act like it wasn't a big deal. “What do you say?”
                                                           ...
"I still can't believe you eat these!" Jaemin exclaimed, weirdly staring at all the Twix on your bed. "What do you mean by that? You're eating them too!" You pointed at his mouth full of chocolate, making Jaemin almost spit everything out as he contained his laugh by placing his hand on his lips.
"In my defense," He started, after swallowing. "I didn't want to offend you by turning down your invitation, but I can't leave this room without pointing your 5-year-old taste for chocolate."
"I'm glad you didn't point out the fact that I still watch cartoons because then I would have to punch your face." You stated, causing Jaemin to really feel offended and to look at you like you had three more other heads on your neck. "What? Never! Just for you to know, I think Adventure Time is the best cartoon ever and I do not trust anyone who says otherwise."
"Bow down to the king's wise words!" You exclaimed, pretending to bow down, and proceeding to laugh when Jaemin waved at you in slow motion.
“As much as I would love to tease you about the fact that you just called me king, I should probably get going, it’s past midnight already.” Jaemin announced after checking on his watch. “And you’re probably tired so I should no longer annoy you.”
“You surprisingly didn’t annoy me tonight.” You replied, repressing the urge to laugh at Jaemin’s shocked expression. “Not as much as usual.” His face literally dropped.
“I knew something was coming.” He whined and rolled his eyes at you. “Why can’t you just admit that you enjoyed my company?” He questioned, with a serious look on his face.
“Because, if I admit that, I will have to apologize for being a bitch to you earlier,” You started. “which I’m really sorry for, by the way. I shouldn’t have said I didn’t care about what you do, you’re my friend and I do care about everything that happens to you.”
Jaemin listened to every single of my words with attention and when in the end he didn't show any type of reaction, you started to regret what you'd said.
"There's nothing to apologize for. We're cool." He shrugged, giving me a big warm smile as he took the last chocolate bar from my bed and pointed it to me. "Besides, if you intended to take me to your bed, you've picked the easiest way to do it. How could I say no to snacks AND chocolate on your bed? It almost feels like I'm daydreaming." He added with a grin on his face, quickly unpacking the last chocolate and putting half of it in his mouth and offering me the other half. "Peace offer?"
"No." You forced a smile and before he could see it coming, you moved quickly and pushed him out of your bed, causing him to fall and push you with him. Result? You were lying on top of him. And as surprising as it may sound, you didn't care or panicked as much as you thought you would.
"Sorry, field reflexes." He apologized and for the very first time, you noticed his cheeks turning into pink pigment.
Na Jaemin was blushing. He just couldn’t get any more adorable than that.
"Is that dinner still available? I would take it as a peace offer." You wondered, staring right at Jaemin's lips. You mentally scolded yourself from looking too straight-forward, but your eyes just couldn't focus anywhere else, not from this close.
"So, let me see if I got this right, I've spent the last hours being threatened of death, only for you to accept to go on a date with me in the end?" He asked, with a confused but cute expression.
“No, you’ve spent last hours proving me wrong about you. I haven’t been exactly the friend of the year-” “Years.” He faked coughing, giving an innocent smile right after it. “Okay, YEARS.” You rolled your eyes at him, not believing that you were really having that conversation in THAT position. “But what I’m trying to say is, I know I haven’t been around much aside from missions, and tonight you remembered me that you can still be resting while having a friend around, but since it’s been a while since the last time we actually had a proper conversation, I guess it's time for us to get to know each other again.” You finished, finally noticing how his hands on your waist were causing you a tickle feeling. Along with some insisting butterflies who were starting to appear in your stomach.
“Does that mean I have a chance with you?” Jaemin asserted, with a smile on his face.
Yes.
“No, it means I’m giving you the chance to earn that chance.” You faked an excited tone as Jaemin face literally dropped, you had no choice but to laugh at that point.
“Not what I aimed at, but I'll take it, especially after you I’ve seen you laugh like this.”
He just knew how to say the right thing. You didn't know if you hated or liked him for it.
“Soooo, can you get up? I mean, I can totally move you away from the top of me, but I’m too scared that if I accidentally touch your butt, I might not survive till our date.” He forced a chuckle and putting his hands up next to his head.
"You're not wrong, but," You gave him a quick slap on his face, causing the boy to instantly touch his forehead and letting an "Ouch." out of his mouth. "this, is for you even thinking of touching my booty." you warned him, before sitting on his belly and getting yourself on your feet right after it.
"I don't even want to ask what would you do if I'd thought about kissing you..." he murmured, sitting on the floor as he caressed his forehead. "which I didn't. I'm a gentleman, so, no need to merciless murder me." Jaemin quickly completed when he felt your stare burning on his head.
You wanted to laugh at him, SO BAD. But he did have a point: He had been hours alone with you, and not even for a second he attempted anything or looked at you differently. He respected you, and you appreciated that.
"So, see you tomorrow?" you casually asked him after opening your door. "Yes, if you don't change your mind till there." Jaemin bickered, making you roll your eyes at him.
You somehow felt a mixture of feelings: You deep down didn't want to let him go since you had enjoyed his company, but at the same time, you were excited to see what was about to come next. You wanted whatever the future had planned for you, and that was a feeling you weren't familiar with.
"Just don't make me change my mind then." You snapped with a little smile on your face. "I'll try." Jaemin smiled back at you, turning his back and then starting to walk.
(1) Text Message from Jaemin: "I'll try not to change your mind about tomorrow's date. Just hope I can change your mind about going out on a second date (yeah, I know your immediate answer will be "no" to this one)."

Acne Treatment Skincare Products To Use For Much Healthier Skin
Tumblr media
Your skin is covered in pores that can often get clogged by oil, microscopic organisms, dead cells, dirt due to air pollution, constant use of makeup, not enough exfoliation, and so much more. At the point when this happens, you might notice a rise in blackheads on your nose and/or cheeks, a slight blemish, or a full-on break out depending on the condition of your skin and previous history with acne.
Acne is a widely known condition most people currently suffer from or have suffered from it at one point in their lives. Everyone has gotten a pimple. Most of us have gotten hundreds to thousands of them. Even though acne is a common skin condition, it very may well be excruciating, especially in extreme cases, causing both physical and emotional discomfort. Breakouts that show up, again and again, can negatively influence your confidence because of the excessive scarring and inflammation.
Acne can appear anywhere on your face and body, including but not limited to the back, legs, arms, and chest areas and the reasons may vary from one person to another. According to your skin, your face may become covered with blackheads on your nose and cheeks, or you may experience pimples that can appear as whiteheads or dark red tones. There is a difference between whiteheads and pimples you might not have noticed, so here is a quick rundown. Pimples have a dark distinctive color due to the oxygen while whiteheads appear under your skin layer – hence their white color.
Acne: The main causes & how to prevent it
The often combination of pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and clogged pores is what causes the scarring of your skin. Despite all the assumptions around acne and its origins – processed foods heavy in oils, chocolate, dairy - nothing can be proven by science – at least yet. So are there any contributing factors? Well, the short answer is yes. Medications such as birth control, hormonal changes – often during our teen years and or menopause - can negatively affect the health of our skin. Sadly, sometimes acne can be passed on from one generation on to the next one.
Acne treatment, although possible, is a long process based on consistency and many trials and errors. Don’t be disappointed just yet! With the right facial cleansers, scrubs, and acne treatment products you will notice a big difference within a few weeks – we promise. In a market filled with skincare products, finding the right one for you is often a task on its own – not to mention very time-consuming. Below is a list of acne treatment products that can work miracles on your skin.
It’s all about cleansing with a great facial cleanser
Face cleansing is a key step towards healthy skin. The best facial cleansers for acne-prone skin should include ingredients such as salicylic and glycolic acids and sodium benzoate. What is that I hear you ask? Cause over time with consistent use, they can prevent your pores from clogging and slowly stop the appearance of pimples and blackheads. Face cleansers can be used up to 3 times per day according to your skin type. Always navigate towards products with neutral ingredients – even better if they can also be used as facial scrubs for exfoliation.

Their soothing properties will reduce redness. Your skin can naturally dispose of dead cells but for those who suffer from acne, this process cannot be done correctly on its own. So why not give it a little boost? Salicylic and glycolic acids are known for their abilities to get rid of dead skin while controlling the oil products – crucial to avoid blemishes. You will instantly feel your skin being smoother and softer.

I don’t know anything about skin care really so if you don’t mind could you explain the basics? Also recently someone told me that you need to use face wash+toner+moisturizer, is it necessary to use all these products or could I just use a basic face wash? Also also do you have any recommendations for cystic acne and dark spots? Please ignore this if you don’t want to answer!
okay disclaimer my knowledge of skincare is all from my own research i’ve done i don’t have like training or anything. that said wash + toner + moisturiser is a good starting point but if you’re looking to cut something i would say the toner. corsx has a good affordable face wash called low ph something that’s fragrance free & gentle so you can use that on a daily basis without stripping your skin. i would not personally consider moisturiser something that would be a good idea to skip: if you have acneic skin, something gel based w hyaluronic acid can be helpful in protecting & replening your skin without giving you that greasy feeling. i like neutrogena hydroboost i believe they have a fragrance-free gel moisturizer! as for cystic acne i believe in BHA’s above all. this will also be called salicylic acid. i’ve mostly seen it in concentrations of about 0.5-2% although it can go up to 5% and not every product will tell you the concentration. try and find a product that starts with about 1% for acne and see how it works for you. don’t waste your money on a face wash with this ingredient: anything you buy should be a serum, cream or leave on mask, because it takes time for these ingredient to work and if you’re using a cleanser its only actually on your skin for like a minute max. if you’ve never used a chemical exfoliant before don’t use this more than once a week, let your skin adjust, and def moisturise after. other types of acid exfoliation can help even skin tone or reduce scarring/dark spots but esp for a beginner i would take acids one at a time if only so if something makes your skin break out you know WHICH new product it was. this is a good resource if you want to research more later. i would say just be gentle take it slow remember anything harsh can cause your skin to react with more acne and keep in mind that it could take 4-6 weeks to see things really start turning around. you’re trying to take care of your skin not bully it into being better.

i just finished washing my face which i need to get back to doing every day but i kinda fell off this past month. i was doing great at the beginning of august with my sleep schedule and skin care and exercise and everything. now i can’t convince myself to do anything. but i recently started using the inkey list salicylic acid cleanser and i really like it and it makes me sad it’s so hard to get. in the united states you can only buy it online at sephora and it’s always sold out!! when i first decided i wanted it, it was in stock but i also wanted the oat cleansing balm. so i waited like 2 weeks checking sephora every day for the oat cleansing balm to come in stock and finally one day it did!! i got so excited!! and then on that SAME DAY the salicylic acid cleanser went out of stock!! so i was like. i’d rather have the salicylic acid cleanser. because this is when i was buying some makeup eraser wipes so i didn’t really feel i needed a more intense cleanser. however i totally needed a regular cleanser because my other one was almost empty. so i waited for it to come back in stock and of course the oat cleansing balm was not in stock. i’ve never seen them in stock at the same time. and it’s like. it is not worth all this trouble every time i need to repurchase, especially since everything else i like is at ulta. so i would only be buying from sephora to get the cleansers and then i’d be like “well what else can i get for free shipping” and i really can’t convince myself to buy anything because i don’t like spending more than $10 on most products. so anyway i decided i would try the squalane cleanser from the ordinary and that will be arriving tomorrow hopefully. i actually still had a little bit of my previous cleanser left but when i got the inkey list one i was too excited to try it and i’ve just been using that one. so tonight i used the peter thomas roth irish moor mud purifying cleansing gel, which is what i used to use and don’t plan to buy again. although i had to google it just now to remember the name of it and it seems you can’t get it in the united states anymore? anyway those are my cleanser struggles

[click for hq]
I live on the East Coast in the States, so it gets pretty hot in the summertime and very cold in the winter...but I found a skincare routine that fits year round!
1. $26 Estēe Lauder Perfectly Clean Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask
I love love love this product because although the price is a little high for maybe college students, it is both a cleanser AND a mask (lather it up and leave on face for a few mins). So, you’re essentially paying for two products which I think is totally worth it :)
2. $28 DHC Lightweight Facial Moisturizer for Dry Skin
To be honest, I think this moisturizer is good for normal or combination skin, not only dry skin. It’s not very heavy and absorbs quickly! I got this as a gift and can understand if people don't want to spend 28 dollars on a moisturizer, but it’s definitely a cheaper alternative to the Shiseido moisturizers that can get quite pricey.
3. $13 Differin Gel
My dermatologist recommended this acne spot treatment five years ago, and I still use this product today! This small tube last a long time (about 9 months) and is travel friendly and truly is a lifesaver for those pesky breakouts
4. $24 FRESH Sugar Lip Balm Sunscreen SPF 15
I got this Lip Balm as a gift (there is no way I am spending $24 on a LIP BALM). However, it also comes in other colors and tints and has SPF =)) if you have the money to splurge, this is a good way to reward urself. But it you don’t, I think Burts Bees does pretty much the same thing.
5. $14 Olay Complete Sensitive Plus SPF 15
The linked product is the newest design of this sunscreen, and you’re getting a lot of product (6.0 FL oz)! it gives a dewy finish and is a great primer for light makeup.
6. $7 Biore Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Toner
This is definitely on the more affordable side, and the fact that this product has Salicylic Acid means that it is great for acne!
my routine is just Wash, Tone, Spot Treatment, Moisturizer, Lip Balm, and SPF in the morning :):) lol hope u enjoyed this I just had some free time on my hands

Okay y'all. Let me break this down.
Sometimes it's executive dysfunction. Sometimes it's sensory overload. Sometimes we just don't have time for a shower.
Here's my guide to Looking Approximately Human In Ten Steps on Low-HP days. It's a little involved but the steps are small and can be done one at a time with space in between to rest. You can also use this time to apply any pain-relieving creams or medications you may have, and as gross as it sounds, you can take bites of food and drinks of beverage in between it all.
This will get gross. Deal with it.
Note: This is aimed more at people with sensory issues and executive dysfunction - having made the decision not to shower, you now have a list to follow (of less-sensory things than having water sluicing all over you). If you have chronic pain issues and have ideas on how to adapt this list, PLEASE feel free to reblog with your tips if you want.
Any of these steps can be skipped if you absolutely need to, but limit yourself to skipping only a few so the rest of the steps can kinda Build Up.
Ingredients to an Approximate Human:
Flushable wet wipes and/or non-flushable wet wipes. You can use both kinds or just one kind, but be sure to flush only the flushable kind. Your plumbing will thank you.
Dry shampoo or corn starch. I got my sprayable dry shampoo at the 99 Cent Only Store for a buck; check around and see if you can find any. If not, corn starch works just fine, although it’s messy.
Face cleaning wipes. I personally use generic Stridex with 2% salicylic acid. If you want to use the flushable/non-flushable wipes, feel free, but make sure you have something to clean your face.
Facial moisturizer.
Perfume or body spray of some sort. Something gentle and non-overpowering if possible, but most dollar stores have something that will work.
Deodorant, preferably with antiperspirant in it.
Cleanish clothing. If you gotta hit that shit with Febreeze I won’t judge. Doing laundry is hard.
Food of some sort.
OPTIONAL STEP ZERO: You can gargle with mouth wash or brush your teeth. I usually chew gum or eat a mint or something if I can’t get to brushing.
Step one: Eat. Preferably something low-energy to make with plenty of sugars or proteins or carbs. I like generic pop tarts. Drinking is also useful; get some water in, or caffeine if that helps. Tea has caffeine and is more hydrating than coffee or energy drinks or soda, but you do you.
Step two: Go into the bathroom (bring the cleanish clothes with you) and get naked. If you have to pee or poop, do it now. Get it out of the way.
Step three: Use the wet wipes to wash your asshole. I'm not kidding. Also your crotch. Both smell (get real into the pubes if you have them). The wipes help. If you get a period and are on it, clean extra-well and put on/in fresh menstrual products.
Step four: Use the wet wipes to clean your armpits and any other sweat-accumulating areas. The usual culprits: under your belly, between your thighs, under your tiddies, behind your knees, inside of your elbows, on your neck. You can take a whole-ass sponge bath with these if you want, but try to hit the smelly, sweaty areas.
Step five: Use the face cleaning wipes on your face, behind your ears, and on your pits. Never underestimate how smelly your arm pits can be. If the wipes have salicyclic acid in them, it will help a lot more than you think.
Step six: Lightly spray yourself with body spray or perfume, and put deodorant on under your arms (other places you can use deodorant: anywhere you hit in step four). If you didn’t pee/poop in step two and you now have to, get it out of the way. Also re-wash your neither regions if you do.
Step seven: Get dressed, and spray the clothes with body spray or perfume. Use common sense here and don't over-use the Good Smells.
Step eight: Spray the dry shampoo on the roots of your hair and rub it in well. If you don't have any, corn starch worked into your roots works well too. Leave it in for now.
Step nine: Put on facial moisturizer. It gives your skin a healthy appearance and makes you look more Functional. If you’re the kind of person who uses mascara or eye liner or concealer, etc., do this now.
Step ten: Bend your head over and brush your hair out. You’re getting flakes of dry shampoo/corn starch soaked with oil out of your scalp and hair, so you’ll make a mess, hence the bending over. Do this over a tub or sink, and make sure to brush off your top with your hands when you’re done to get rid of any dandruff-appearing flakes left over. Afterwards, wash your hands and observe yourself in the mirror.
Boom, you now look Approximately Human.

Review: CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser
I’m definitely someone who likes to share what I’ve just bought or am currently using on my Instagram Stories, but the response I had when I shared that I’d just started using the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser was huge!
I had so many followers asking me what I thought; I think it’s because the brand is still pretty new to the UK (it launched March 2018), although I’ve often read about it in magazines from the US. It’s definitely got some kind of cult following and I’ve seen many a dermatologist suggesting it as a range that’s perfect for those wanting results at a budget, and without any side effects. To be clear, this is the only CeraVe product I’ve ever used, but upon reading about the rest of the line - particularly their other cleansers - it seems to be gaining a lot of love in the UK, and I really like the fact that it’s focused on hydration, whatever your skin type. I feel that, when you have skin issues such as acne, you often feel like hydration is something bad that’s going to make things worse, but it’s key for all skin types.
I don’t know about you, but when trendy ranges or products or ingredients pop up, I give it a good six months of waiting to see the feedback. Someone I definitely trust is Caroline Hirons - aesthetician and vlogger - because I loved how she told the truth about Cetaphil - one of the worst cleansers I’ve ever used that DRIED out my skin - and exposed the reason that the brand gets so much endorsement from derms and other members of the medical community, is because it’s owned by Galderma, a huge drugs company.
The reason I’ve taken a lot longer to try CeraVe was just because I wasn’t really looking for another option, particularly when it came to my cleanser. I’ve probably used Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Purifying Cleansing Wash for at least a year because it met all my needs. When you have skin that’s affected by your hormones I think you take comfort in the products that you know well, the ones that won’t rock the boat. The Super Facialist SA cleanser has never left me feeling dry but always leaves my skin clean and soft; it’s been my go-to after my oil cleanse if I’m wearing makeup, or if my face has been bare I’ll just wash my face twice with it. The only reason I ended up trying the Cerave was because: I ran out of Super Facialist and headed to Boots. Next to Super Facialist was the e.l.f. Super Clarity with Niacinamide. I have never used anything from e.l.f. before, but because it was just £6 I decided to give it a go. Also, I have been loving the Glossier Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum - literally skin-changing - so I thought, ‘why not?’ FYI the Serum has been sold out since Black Friday and Glossier really needs to hook it up.
Anyway, once I got the e.l.f. cleanser home I realised I had made an error. When I tried the formula on my hand it looked and felt like one of those pearlescent bath foams that was destined to dry my skin out. I used it for three days and to be honest, I just felt wary of using it the whole time - and it inevitably did dry my skin out. Suffice to say, while working in London for a few days, I had to pop to my fave Boots store - Covent Garden! - and was planning to go back to Super Facialist. Instead I passed by the CeraVe section and noticed just how sold out it was; has to be a good sign, right? I saw one bottle of the SA Smoothing Cleanser left and I knew I had to try it. At £12 it’s double the price of e.l.f and £3 more than Super Facialist, but it holds more. Now that I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks, I’m really impressed with how far it stretches; I’m not even halfway through the 236ml yet.
Texture-wise, the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser is super light, almost like a watery gel, and totally transparent. There’s zero fragrance which I don’t mind in a cleanser, and is described as being perfect for ‘dry, rough, bumpy skin’. Although those words kind of hurt my feelings, I get it - the more prescriptive the high street can get, the better. With a combination of three essential ceramides and hydration-boosting Hyaluronic Acid, on top of the Salicylic Acid, I’ve found this cleanser to be super softening and perfect for a double cleanse. It’s also great for mornings when you feel like you need a refresh. I say this because, recently, I’ve switched to just washing my face with water first thing - especially if I know I’ll be washing my face again a couple of hours later after a trip to the gym. I have never felt any inkling of dryness after using this, and my skin truly feels smoother since I started using it. I should point out that during this time I have also been using the Glossier serum and Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant (also Salicylic Acid) so it’s perfectly reasonable to assume that it’s a combination of all three. All I can say to that is, a cleanser is often the point of difference, because, no matter what you’re putting on your skin, it’s a waste of time if you’re not cleansing properly.
In short, yes I will be buying this again!
What’s your fave cleanser for specific skin concerns?

Getting the acid right is the key to good skin in the summer
Although I help many sisters who mistakenly use acid to do repair homework every summer, it is definitely not diode brainless acid into the blacklist. In fact, the key to summer oil acne skin to have good skin must be to use the right acid, not only can control the oil acne, but also can accelerate the acne mark fade, make the skin uniform and delicate, all kinds of black head fat plug rough small particles gradually disappear, makeup is shelled eggs and even the original camera can achieve the original effect of opening the filter.
With acid must not be brainless crazy coating, beginners do not buy a stack to buy a layer of five six seven eight, find a most suitable for their own use it, the skin can basically be better than you before a big cut: [Beginner difficulty] Low concentration sustained release acid film < Low concentration sustained release acid water, essence < medium and high concentration acid film < high concentration acid water, essence < no sustained release wrapped water or essence
① Never used acid oil acne skin first from the slow-release salicylic acid frozen film, wash the face of a knuckle of the amount of the whole face, only the local coating then reduce, stay 5-10 minutes to wash off, the general forehead nose such as prone to acne long blackhead can be applied a little more, the cheek no problem can not be applied or less (cheeks are dry sensitive skin do not need to be applied). Especially afraid of rollover, you can apply a layer of refreshing repair essence before applying acid film, and you can slowly remove this layer of primer after tolerance. There is no adverse reaction on the first day, use the next day, the time can be extended to about 20 minutes, and then use the next day, pay attention to the first week to maintain a knuckle, do not need to increase the amount. When you have been using this for 1-2 weeks and it is perfectly fine, you can use a little more, but there is no need to apply thick.
② Salicylic acid in addition to acid film and essence or acid water, unwrapped salicylic acid is more difficult to control, make sure that you pass the acid film, if there is a stubborn closed blackhead and then go to the spot coating, one or two drops each time is enough. Acid water and cotton sheet is a kind of thing, cotton sheet I recommend to wipe the body, adhere to the back bare mouth will be very little long, rough wipe face and wet compress is a novice great easy to turn over the toss a few times out of oil and peeling but also red and stinging especially much.
③ In addition to salicylic acid water, most of the main low-concentration fruit acid skin polishing water used two or three times a week can make the face more tender, white speed will be faster, if you use salicylic acid skin is already very tender and exfoliating is excessive, do not superposition.
④ The benefits of azelaic acid are more suitable for pregnancy and rose + acne skin, and it can also be combined with transferuric acid to smear non-damaged vascular melasma. Azelaic acid compound essence milk light black acne is also quack, and more suitable for ordinary people at home than the VA tolerance threshold is much lower, every day point coated with a soybean size on the line. Three tips for summer acid: 1, wash the acid film after the refreshing repair essence, oil acne skin do not paste thick dull acne cream (with the wrong acid will be used in white)

Dandruff Facts and Heavy Hair Fall due to Dandruff
Tumblr media
Raise your hand who never had a problem with dandruff or haven’t seen anyone having a heavy hair fall due to dandruff? Okay, trying to do something like this doesn't work out very well since we don't see each other eye to eye, but it is a fact that all men, especially those with greasy hair, have had dandruff. And if you haven't had it, congratulations and care, as a careless one can lead to having them.
Although it seems a little intimidating at first, there are some facts about dandruff that are not dangerous, but cause a lot of confusion for those who do not understand the subject. To demystify these points, and make you very smart about how to take care of this hair disease, we have separated 7 important facts against dandruff and some tips on how to take care and treat dandruff. Just have a look.
Dandruff Symptoms
When you wear that darker suit or shirt and it looks like it snowed on your shoulders, buddy, that's dandruff. Dandruff is characterized by the appearance of small, thin flakes of dead skin, these flakes may become attached to the strands and come out during hair wash or simply fall during the day. Upon closer examination of the scalp, we can see plaques of dead skin peeling off the scalp.
Scratching the head can irritate the scalp, causing sores and starting the peeling process of the skin. This peeling may be aggravated by redness around the follicles and skin lacquers.
Dandruff intensity
Light : Small whitish flakes of skin near the scalp, near the root of the hair, and visible only when brushing or shaving.
Moderate : The flakes are loose between the strands and are naturally visible giving the hair a snow effect.
Intense : Heavy flaking of flakes of varying sizes, abundant and visible on the surface of the hair and on the shoulders of the individual, in some cases on large patches.
Causes
Some of the causes of seborrheic dermatitis are still a mystery, but here are some factors that are known to aggravate scalp scaling:
Hormonal changes
Stress
Dry or cold weather
sudden changes in temperature
low nutritious food, especially lacking in protein
7 facts about dandruff to make you smart!
1 - Dandruff is more common in winter
Okay, it's not exactly just in winter , but any season of low temperatures. What happens in these times is the increase in hot showers, and they do increase the amount of dandruff in the head. This is because the high temperatures in the scalp increase the production of sebaceous head, which consequently the oily hair, and thus increases dandruff.
So you don't have problems with dandruff, and you don't have to give up that hot bath after a cold day, just don't keep your head under the shower all the time. At most, just to wet and rinse your hair, so you don't have to gain forced resistance against the cold.
2 - Stress Causes Dandruff
Basically, everything that causes sebaceous enlargement in the scalp is responsible for dandruff. And it can have as much to do with the high temperature on the scalp as situations that cause disorders in the whole body. Stress, by releasing substances that are not beneficial to the body, especially in the bloodstream, is one of the factors responsible for dandruff.
So if you scratch your head around when you are stressed and feel like you have turned into a Christmas tree, you are not wrong: the problem of dandruff is stress. So try to cool your head, literally, so as not to lose your hair in the long run.
3 - Smoking too
Remember I said that problems affecting blood circulation are responsible for dandruff production? Well, smoking is also a major cause of dandruff. I don't want to take a foot, but I think you know: cigarettes have a lot of unhealthy substances in their blood, and they affect the same hormones released by stress.
Some people say that alcoholic drinks too, but here it is more necessary for you to control the days and the amount than simply to stop drinking. And let's face it: As refreshing as a beer is in the late afternoon, drinking too much will cause more problems than just thinning hair.
4 - And that Fatty Food too!
Here the reason is quite simple. As the amount of so-called bad fat in the body increases when you eat a lot of fried foods, undercooked meat and other foods with high amounts of this substance, your blood circulation tends to become more compromised and can not carry all the nutrients including the scalp.
The result is a bald head, a prominent tummy, and health problems that are hard to overcome at a later age. Try to reserve that fatter meat or heavier frying for the weekends at most to avoid this point.
5 - Dandruff has no cure
This is a sad fact. So far there is no remedy that will definitely end dandruff, but the amounts can be properly controlled to the point of not ending your hair. In addition to dietary and health care as a whole, you can prevent dandruff buildup by using shampoo and prescription drugs.
The Minoxidil is usually one of these remedies. Still, it should be used with caution as it can bring heavy side effects to the entire body, including the hair. If possible have a healthier life, and even cheaper.
6 - Oily hair is more likely to have dandruff.
In addition to the circumstances caused, there are the natural causes of the presence of dandruff. And if your hair is oily, large or small, dandruff growth will be constant and natural. Remember that it is not the oil itself that causes hair loss, but the enlargement of the sebaceous, a gland that protects the hair bulbs, but in excess ends up obstructing their entry and leading to dandruff production.
And here comes another factor that we already discussed in another post, which doesn't necessarily have to do with the fact that hair is oily: avoid overheating your scalp. These include wearing caps for long periods of time, or staying in hot and stuffy environments. In addition to increasing sebum production, these places can also generate scalp fungi, which is not pleasant at all.
7 - Yes, Anti-Spas work
Anti-dandruff shampoos have a love-hate relationship with their users. Although they work for the most part, they often lose efficiency over time. The most likely reason in these cases is not the poor quality of the shampoo itself, but our body that fits the formula and we are frustrated again with a head full of white bits again.
The solution to dealing with dandruff, in addition to doctor-indicated shampoos , is to look for those with Zinc Pyrithione. Shampoos with this component act directly on inflammation caused by dandruff, and greatly decrease its presence. But just for safety, see a doctor before buying a shampoo to make sure you are not allergic to it.
Tumblr media
Treatment
Dandruff is not a condition that has a cure, it is only controlled with either specific products or better habits. However there are several effective treatments for dandruff , but it is very common that during treatment the person still presents dandruff again.
Generally speaking, simply wash your hair daily with any ordinary shampoo. In cases of recurrent dandruff, you can make use of various anti-dandruff shampoos that are efficient and found at Beard. Dandruff shampoos usually contain one of the following substances in their composition:
Zinc pyrithione;
Tar
Selenium sulphate;
Salicylic acid
There is usually no anti-dandruff shampoo that can be considered more efficient. Due to the individuality of each individual, you should find the best brand that best fits your biotype. So if your dandruff does not improve after one week of treatment, look for a brand with a different anti-dandruff substance or a combination of them until you find the one that works best for you.
If seborrheic dermatitis is associated with inflammation of the scalp, antifungal shampoos are usually indicated. Look for shampoos containing cyclopirox or ketoconazole. A dermatologist should always be consulted in any of the above situations if the patient's condition does not improve within a week.
Dandruff, myths and truths
Some myths and truths few know about dandruff:
Shaving all the hair will not end the dandruff or help treatment, after all the problem lies in the scalp and not effectively in the hair, so the size of the hair is irrelevant.
Hair loss is rather related to dandruff, especially when it is not treated and in the most severe cases, when there is inflammation of the scalp, heavy hair fall due to dandruff is inevitable then.
Stress, nicotine or tiredness can increase dandruff;
Dandruff is not caught through combs or hair brushes, ie it is not contagious;
Dandruff is not linked to poor hygiene, but is more likely to arise in people who don't wash their hair often. In fact, people who wash their hair excessively or do it with soap instead of shampoos may also have dandruff;
Men are more likely to have dandruff than women.
Now that you know the facts of dandruff happen and keep happening, you will no longer fall for absurd or lying stories. Just take the right care. And well, if one day you get a heavy hair fall without you being able to avoid it, no problem either, as it is possible to make good use of baldness and beard . See you next time, young man!
