Let's say I know absolutely nothing about make-up at all. Zip, zilch. I am a 30-something year old woman who somehow managed to make it this far without owning or using any makeup.

of all the makeup products, i think foundation is most annoying and the biggest scam. Annoying because you’re always aware that it’s on your face, you can feel the layer and you can feel it melting. Doesn’t matter if the company making them claims otherwise. It leaves marks on your shirts and jackets. It’s so uncomfortable to wear. The biggest scam because it does not do shit. Without filters and photoshop, you can always tell it’s there. No matter how well you blend it, you can always tell if a person is wearing it. And it does not make the skin prettier. Blemishes and other skin imperfections are usually a little 3D, and you can’t make that disappear. Sure, things like hyperpigmentation can be covered up but also not really. If you truly want it covered up, you have to put so much foundation on the spot that it just starts looking weird. I myself dislike my skin imperfections but still think that putting on foundation would just make it look worse. I’ll be honest I hate how foundation looks on the skin and well maybe I’ll get told to kms for saying this but I think foundation makes the skin uglier and it “gives me the ick” when I see it on someone. Plus it’s unhealthy.
