I dunno when my alterhumanity went from being all mystical and magical, to casual and indifferent but its so funny to me.

Im probably phrasing this poorly but lemme give an example.

On the bus today, omw home from school. I randomly felt my ear-wings and back wings show up, which is an experience in the past I would’ve been overly excited about. But now, I found my first thought being “damn. how am I gotta fit my bag on now without with these in the way”.

Not exactly an exciting story, but I just find it funny that phantom shifts and critter behavior are just my norm now.

Not anything mystical. Just normal.

Alter humans fellas, have you ever had negative comments about your therio/kintype? For example, about cruel behaviors that the animal or creature can have, preconceived ideas about it..

Because personally, having a xenomorph kin, I have already been criticized for being a "killing machine". Like.. I know that xenomorphs are not shown and known to be super affectionate creatures but when people tell me things like that it's just harsh.. I have my own particular vision of my kin and I know that almost no one has the same vision, which means that I rarely express myself on this kin.

How it works

You send me an ask. Short and simple example:

“I’m a ___.”

I will post your ask (I'll use the queue to space the posts out a bit) and put it down on the zine as:

“I’m a ___.” -Anonymous

If you don’t want to be cited as anonymous, you need to tell me. Like this, for example:

“I’m a ___. -Blue”

You can ad as much information as you want. An example:

“I’m a ___. -Blue, they/them, 21”

That would look like this in the zine:

“I’m a ___.” -Blue, they/them, 21

I hope I explained it in an easy to understand way!

I will cite the asks exactly how I receive them, including things that I think are typos. I don’t want to accidentally change something that was done on purpose. If you want to correct a mistake you’ve made, just comment under the respective post. I can’t allow this for anons because I need a way to know the request comes from the being that made the original ask.

Having conflicting Kintypes is so strange and upsetting at times. For context I am both Angelkin and demonkin, and recently I had an experience where I was in a church (I’m not often in them)

While I was euphoric about being in the space because I’m an Angel, I was simultaneously dysphoric as well as euphoric as a demon.

My head hurts almost every time I’m within a church, I know this is most likely due to bright lights and sounds affecting me (I’m autistic) but the headaches make me dysphoric as an Angel, and euphoric as a Demon.

I feel as though I belong, but also don’t, because of two conflicting identities.

It’s rough, and really sucks.

Therians who mock Therians (young or old) for wearing gear are stupid. I saw a post of an adult Therian mocking two CHILDREN (aprox 11-12) for wearing tails and masks.

The Therian community is already hated enough, for someone to think they are better than another Therian for expressing their Therianthropy differently is moronic.

They also remarked them being “tiktok” therians and “fake” for it. Seriously what the fuck. People like this bristle my fur so much, just no. No.

This goes out to all the Newly awakens. If you wear gear, you are no less or more than a Therian who doesn’t. That goes for the opposite as well. Express your identity however you wish, stay safe out there <3

controversial opinion; (btw, this has been edited to make the point i was making come across clearer since some people have misunderstood, which is my fault. edited paragraphs/sentences are in purple) tldr; when faced with curiousity about alterhumanity, alterhumans dont need to start portraying their non-humanity as nothing but torture and can embrace the good parts when responding to questions

i see so many therians replying to normies who say "the bond in the therian community is so strong! i'd love to be in it!" or "what's being a therian like?" and "non-humans are so cool!" and the reply is like ,,trust me you do not want to be a therian it is painful, disgusting i live in pain every day of my life, the world has stabbed me three times for the fun of it...'' yes, being a therian can suck at times, it can be painful, distressing, and dehumanizing (in the bad way) not everything about being non-human hurts. you can bond over things that would normally lose you friends. you can find a home away from home. if you want people to know that theriantrophy isn't all lisa frank-style glitter and rainbows, that's fine! if you want them to know about how painful being stuck in a body you do not belong in is, that's fine! im not trying to say that people shouldn't be able to express how they feel about being an alterhuman- im trying to say that alterhumanity has two sides! and if your experience with it has been negative; it's been negative. if it's been good? don't let the bad parts get to the good parts. thanks for reading! a reblog, like, or comment would be appreciated!
