Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !

I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!

someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)

Which also means that Emmrich can sometimes catch Spite yelling things like, "Put our feet on his face, you idiot!" whenever they're around and Emmrich is visibly upset. It always gets a chuckle out of him (despite Lucanis' embarrassment), so Spite keeps doing it.

Just Plane Monday 2025 Calendar ✈️ PREORDER ✈️

Preorders are now open!! They’ll remain open until December 1st, 2024. The goal is for shipping to happen by December 13th at the latest to make sure it arrives by the new year.

One of the really cool things about this project is that I’ve created three brand new Just Plane Monday paintings that are exclusive to the calendar, you’re not going to catch them anywhere else!

I also created listings for two additional versions of the calendar [pictured below] because I know there was some interest in a desk calendar and I wanted to provide various options. I’ve done my best to price these as low as possible for the duration of the preorder; after Dec 1st the price will increase. These items are made to order and shipped through the manufacturer, not by me. Freebies are still included when you purchase either of these during the preorder window (Nov 12-Dec 1) but they will be mailed separately from the calendar. I'm like halfway through the first Ghoulfriends book and main three are so annoying. I'm hoping it's like a character flaw thing, where they'll recognize it and get better over the course of the series, but oof. Gitty did these ghouls so wrong.

They're beefing with Cleo for no reason...Venus flipped out on her out of nowhere (in the middle of class, unprovoked!!) for using paper bags and then sprayed her with hypno pollen, meanwhile Rochelle, who is in her own relationship, is hardcore flirting with her man!!! I wish the author had been more original when it came to giving them a "frenemy" there are so many options aside from Cleo! (Honestly Operetta would have been an interesting choice, but whatever)

Robecca's characterization is the most tolerable, but she's incredibly rambly, and the author decided to give her a bad sense of time for...reasons. And despite being British, she uses oddly Southern phrases while talking...its super strange. With Venus and Rochelle, I can see where her mind went with writing their characters, but Robecca honestly seems so opposite to her canon personality.

And her backstory was kinda mangled too. It's acknowledged that she was disassembled, and recently reassembled, and even that she previously lived with Mrs. Kindergrubber, but she's treated like a brand new student. No acknowledgement that it was Ghoulia who put her back together!

I understand giving the characters a fresh take, but it would have been pretty simple to integrate the actual canon. Robecca and Rochelle were introduced in the same movie, they were new to Monster High, just not new to all of the characters.

I thought I���d post some pictures of the Diabolik Lovers novelization that I’m translating right now! It was sold as a proper 小説 (しょうせつ, novel) and it’s about 300 pages and 12 chapters long, but as you can tell by the relative lack of long paragraphs, it’s still more like a light novel that heavily relies on your familiarity with the characters and their looks/voices through the anime and visual novels. The two pages of the running text in the second-to-last picture only amounted to about half a page in English (*´꒳`*) It’s been really fun to translate so far, so stay tuned for the next chapters!
