These panels are so well written and drawn for each character. First the technical nonsense science from Spock followed by an almost compliment, Bones sarcastically points out Spock's remark to Jim, and Kirk silently drops the makeshift gun he used to protect his crew, while internally broods over the Admiral position he was offered

Then Kirk compliments Spock's bravery without even acknowledging his own merits, Spock nonchalantly mentions his hand is broken and McCoy affectionately scolds Spock then offering immediate help, Kirk goes on brooding in the narration box

I've been thinking about it for a bit (and it's probably obvious) but did you notice the giant frog and the tentacles are basically clown fish and anemones? I only realized once someone pointed out to me that the giant frogs have clown fish colors.

And then I realized the tentacles are also classified as "anthozoa" in the AB which is the the class anemones are a part of

The comment about nematocysts is also how it works for anemones, Kui draws a pretty cool graph of how it works too (a little different real ones but conveys the idea well)

I just always thought that was a pretty cool detail that I missed for a while! It's very cool how inspired by real animals Ryoko Kui's monsters are, I'm always amazed by how much sense they make.

#tloz #princess zelda #link #assumedly?#botw #totk #technically #loz redesigns round 2 #the first great calamity #the ancient heroes aspect #the ancient hero’s aspect #art #my art #redesign #listen this is probably the one and only time ill draw something furry so if it looks a bit wonky i dont really care lmao #this is one of the few designs where im Under designing one of the characters #ie the heroes aspect is such a messy design #i went of the mural a little bit more for the coloring so a little more orangey red involved in his design #and also changing his face to look a little less offputting #and the greener looking eyes from the mural #the darker fur also helps the teal pop #but yes i made his armor a little less zonai-y and a tad more guardian inspired?#i didnt take away all the zonai vibes because he’s seemingly related to them somehow #i do wish we had a timeline for how long after rauru sealed ganon that this calamity happened #but oh well #but yeah uh zelda #vaguely based on sonia #thats pretty much all i have to say about her lmao #i used more neutrals on her dress to semi emulate the pure white of the mural #while also bringing in more of those sheikah tech colors

A bit ago I was looking through the g1 timeline wiki and I saw that Skyfire and Starscream now had a 5 million year old age gap and I was like oh? That makes their dynamic so much more interesting especially how innocent he was portrayed in fire in the sky, I also wanted to share my hc on why Skyfire never brought up Starscream again
