It's Blorbo Blursday! For this question, you might need a bit of context!
A few fast food chains, Mcdonald's most notably, have done celebrity meals (CardiB and Offset, BTS, Travis Scott, to name a few!) that consist of a chosen combination of their regular menu items and might also come with some sort of special dipping sauce or branding on the packaging.
So for today's question, I want to know, what would your OCs "celebrity meal" be?
Thank you for this Ask, @writernopal!
I'm terribly sorry for the late answer. I don't know if this is a proper answer, but since I don't know much about real menus of fast food restaurants, I will answer with an "In-Universe" version of a "Celebrity Menu" for my cast!
RAELEN - (Raelen is a complicated one to answer for. She doesn't have a very specific "favorite dish", and is not a very picky eater either. But, I would say that Raelen's food of choice - if she had to answer this - would be) :
(SAVORY) Any kind of pasty with roasted venison for filling, preferably as warm as possible (as in, fresh out of the oven).
(SWEET) Pure chocolate cake, or overall anything with chocolate, though chocolate and fresh berry pies are her all-time favorite.
(DRINK) Fruit teas. Occasionally, warm wine - it's the most easily accessible beverage in the kingdom she grew up in and since she hates ale, it's the next best thing to find in taverns while on the run.
VALLERIUS -
(SAVORY) Anything spicy and extremely well-seasoned. Spicy pasta dishes, with flaming hot sauce or any kind of hot pepper stew would certainly be his favorites.
(SWEET) Vallerius is not a huge fan of desserts, but he would never say no to a well-made breakfast cinnamon roll or a creamy lemon pie.
(DRINK) Voidberry Juice. Sounds menacing, looks dangerous, but actually tastes really good, once one gets past its initial tangy/acidic taste. (The stems and leaves of the plant are poisonous though, so one needs to be really careful before making juice from the berries. That's why he only drinks this juice if he made it himself.)
EMRYC -
(SAVORY) Roasted deep-sea Kraken or fried lobster claws. Sometimes those two things go together in one dish. He hasn't had something like that since he left the Storm Isles, though.
(SWEET) Caramel Fruit - as in, fruits covered by burnt caramel - or any kind of hard candy, as long as it isn't acidic.
(DRINK) Chocolate milk is his go-to drink of choice.
TANWIN -
(SAVORY) He is vegetarian, and meat makes him sick. His favorite dish would be pumpkin and spinach pie. He also likes soup but hates salad.
(SWEET) Frozen Blueberry cake, he also likes anything with vanilla and blueberries, preferably if it is in a cake.
(DRINK) Wild blackberry wine/juice.
ANSELL -
(SAVORY) Anything with roasted/baked partridge wings, or river fish cooked with pasta. He does not like spicy food but doesn't like bland food either - his taste in food sits right in between those two options.
(SWEET) Glazed cherry rolls, but being a huge dessert fan, he ends up eating any kind of sweet rolls available to him.
(DRINK) A warm, sweet, mildly alcoholic (includes wine), butter-infused drink that usually includes honey and nutmeg.
MORWAN -
(SAVORY) Well-done mutton leg, roasted over a fire, with a side dish of creamy rice with vegetable sticks to follow.
(SWEET) Anything large and bountiful, though her all-time favorite consists of a caramel cake with chocolate and cream filling.
(DRINK) Ale, preferably of the strongest sort.
BRYN -
(SAVORY) Crawfish sandwiches, but he also loves mountain ox stew with cheese.
(SWEET) Anything with strawberry. His favorites include (strawberry) cupcakes, muffins, and cakes.
(DRINK) Strawberry Milkshake
YUNA -
(SAVORY) Spicy goat and pork casserole with foraged vegetables.
(SWEET) Almond pancakes with any kind of syrup
(DRINK) Rum
ELLINOR -
(SAVORY) Anything grilled. She is particularly fond of grilled chicken or turkey, with a side dish of creamy pasta and vegetables.
(SWEET) Warm rolls or pies with a vanilla cream filling. She is also a huge fan of almond pudding with burnt caramel toppings.
(DRINK) Hot milk with burnt sugar and mint. She also likes sparkling wine.
JULYAN -
(SAVORY) Spicy chicken/turkey pies or pasties.
(SWEET) Cookies of any kind, though he prefers chocolate cookies over all the others.
(DRINK) Black tea, with a spoonful of either sugar syrup or cream
AZRA -
(SAVORY) All kinds of stews and warm soups. Azra likes venison and oxtail the best of all types, though when it comes to soup he prefers ones made with vegetables over meat.
(SWEET) Vanilla bread pudding or honeycombs
(DRINK) Warm wine, as well as any kind of hot chocolate
JAMIE -
(SAVORY) Mushroom pancakes and any kind of crepe with enough filling, preferably not spicy.
(SWEET) Dried fruit rolls with powdered cinnamon and sugar
(DRINK) Apple cider, or light wine
ZEPHYR -
(SAVORY) Fish sticks, or any kind of fish pasties
(SWEET) Jam-filled biscuits
(DRINK) Green tea, as well as any kind of juice. Hates alcoholic beverages.
NADINNE -
(SAVORY) Seafood casserole bowls, usually made with sea-monster meat, as well as roasted lobster claws or shrimp.
(SWEET) Vanilla and strawberry jam cheesecakes
(DRINK) Sweet bubbly/sparkling tea
LUCIYA -
(SAVORY) Vegetable sticks, as well as baked/cooked venison with creamy pasta (preferably with some kind of sauce on the side)
(SWEET) Fresh fruits
(DRINK) Cold Tea, Wine (the stronger the better), or just water
NYX -
(SAVORY) Stuffed and roasted hare/rabbit
(SWEET) Orange and fig cupcakes. Learns to love chocolate desserts due to his friendship with Raelen.
(DRINK) Apricot licor
KADEN-
(SAVORY) Mutton with rice
(SWEET) Vanilla cakes, blueberry pancakes, and sweet pepper jam sandwiches
(DRINK) Grape/Blackberry juice
SYBIL-
(SAVORY) Smoked hare with "burnt" pumpkin rolls
(SWEET) Doesn't like sweets.
(DRINK) Ale
NETHEN -
(SAVORY) Swan pie or roasted goose with cheese and vegetable fillings
(SWEET) Rose and Caramel cakes
(DRINK) Mead. He also likes coffee with cream
I still need to figure out the favorite foods for the rest of the cast, but these are the main ones! I hope you like this and that this answers your Ask properly!

The ‘dreaded swimsuit season’ is coming up, and that means people are going to be obsessing about food and exercise and losing calories.  First of all, I’m not a medical professional nor a nutritionist nor a physical therapist etc, so definitely consult with the appropriate personnel...but I cannot stress strongly enough, you must consult with non-fatphobic medical personnel.
Fatphobia kills people of all bodyweights, and this blog does not support fatphobia, especially medical fatphobia.
Now, with that said...if you want to be healthy, there are plenty of non-fatphobic things you can do about it.  And the biggest things you need to know about how to go about it are: understanding your metabolism, understanding how muscles can affect your metabolism, and understanding how diet (foods, not fatphobia industry) can affect your metabolism.
Given all the fat-shaming bullshit thrown about in the so-called “Health Industry,” it sounds counterintuitive, but you actually need to eat more in order to lose weight.  You need to teach your body that it’s not in starvation mode anymore, that it has plenty of calories and nutrients...and just start moving more.  Not necessarily exercising more, but moving more.
2,000-2,500 calories a day is the range for a “normal” body-weight-and-size person.  However, the more exercise you do, the more muscles you have, or simply the bigger a person you are (the more cells you have), the more calories you need.  Unless you’re seriously short & skinny, a 1,500 calorie meal is a starvation meal, and that will put your body into “OMFG SAVE ALL THE CALORIES AS FAT!!” mode.
Literally, a toddler’s caloric needs are 1,100, and they range from 20-35 pounds.  You’re several times that much.  This doesn’t mean that if you weigh 175 pounds that  you need to eat at least 5 times as many calories, however!  In truth, you only need about double that, because a toddler’s metabolism is geared toward growing, whereas an adult’s metabolism is geared toward maintaining.
The best way to understand this is to realize your metabolism can be divided into 4 categories.
Your Resting Metabolic Rate is simply the amount of calories needed to keep you breathing, your blood pumping, your organs functioning.  That’s 60%-75% of your caloric intake. You have your Thermic Effect of Food, which is another 10%, literally the energy it takes to chew and swallow and digest food & drinks, and then to excrete the leftover bathroom waste. The remaining two types of calorie burning are Non-Exercise Activity Thermogensis, and Activity Thermogenesis.  Of those lattermost two, your body actually burns more of the Non-Exercise calories than the Active Exercise calories...and it is designed to burn more when simply moving.
Literally, just moving a bit more than you usually do in a typical day will burn calories effectively.  Move around the house on every commercial break, stand up and sit down more often, change your position more frequently, raise and lower your arms, gently swing or kick your legs...just move more.  When they say 30 minutes of (gentle) exercise a day, this is exactly what they are talking about.  You don’t need weights, you don’t need machinery, you don’t need a gym membership.  Just move.  It’ll be a gradual process, but so long as you’re eating foods with plenty of fiber as well as other food types, you’ll feel full and won’t feel starved.
Now, if you want to burn calories even faster through vigorous exercise, you can do that, too...but again you need to use your metabolism.  Make sure you’re not starving, because your body will go into a panic attack thinking you’re not only starving but are being chased by bears and will need plenty of fat to survive while you’re unable to gather food, etc because zomg you’re being chased by bears!!1!  (Truly, the metabolism is a primitive/primal minded thing based upon hundreds of thousands of years of hunter-gatherer lifestyles, and does not comprehend modern life at all.)
And then, what do you do to burn more calories?  You build muscles.  Muscles burn a lot of calories.  Not just through using said muscles in excercise, but muscles will burn through calories even while simply resting.  The more muscles you have, the more calories your body will burn.
How do you build muscles?  Well, there are two types of muscles, which while it sounds cannibalistic, we’ll call white meat and dark meat, because it’s the easiest mnemonic to remember.  White meat (think breast meat on a chicken) is designed for strong but brief actions...and men have more white meat muscles than females, though obviously they have both kinds.  That brief sprint towards a prey animal, the thrust of a spear into its body, aaaand done.
Dark meat muscles are meant for lower-strength repetitive actions.  Walking around reaching up or stooping down or digging while gathering plants, with no need to rush and plenty of opportunities to rest.  Chasing after young children.  Weaving baskets, scraping and tanning hides into furs and leathers, cooking...these are tasks that require little to moderate amounts of strength, but most important, repeated movements.  Women tend to have more dark meat muscles than men, though obviously they have both kinds.
(The reasons why wild ducks, partridges, grouse, etc, all have dark meat breast muscles is because they use those muscles to fly long distances. Chickens evolved from jungle-floor hunt-and-peck birds that mostly flew only short distances to get away from predators by flying up to the nearest tree branches, so they literally just needed a burst of strong energy over a short period of time, hence white meat muscles.)
Which type is better?  Both, ideally, because they are useful in a variety of different ways.  Which is better for burning calories?  Ideally both, but it doesn’t really matter.  All you need to do is build muscles.
As for how to do that...you know how you feel when you exercise until you are sore?  That’s what you need to do.  This is where weights and machines and treadmills do come in handy, but still aren’t necessary, since you can lift and lower objects around your home, and get exercise bands or surgical tubing for resistance training, and go for longer walks, etc.
The object is to (gently!) push your body to the point where your muscles are sore.  You can do this by lifting weights for a few repetitions near your limit (use a spotter & practice safe lifting skills!!), which is a white meat muscle activity, or you can use lesser weights or resistance machinery (surgical tubing counts), but just do it more, which is dark meat muscle activity.
You can also do the “step down” method of weight training or resistance training, by starting near your limit, going until your muscles burn, then resting a few minutes while gently shaking out, massaging, or relaxing the muscles in question to help move the lactic acid out of your muscle tissues, along with hydrating. Then you “step down” the amount of weight (say by 20%-30%) and doing another set of reps (repetition movements) until again it’s a struggle, then another few minutes of rest, hydration, etc, before stepping down again, doing some reps...and then again when it’s at the lightest you can for as long as you can, then rest that muscle group.
Regardless of which way you weight/resistance train, take a full 48 hours off.  Or as close to 48 as you manage--weight train 3 times a week, and then take up to 72 hours (three days) off so your body can fully recover.  You can still exercise, but do not use weights or resistance machinery/rubber bands, etc.
Let your muscles use that 48 hours to heal, and eat more protein sources to help your body build more muscle strength, along with a variety of nutrients to get the right kinds of micronutrients.  Again, I must emphasize: Do not starve your body.  It will go into fat-storage mode and will only barely repair your muscles, nevermind build them bigger.
The goal is to build more muscle tissue.  if you are hungrier than usual, eat more.  Your body will tell you what it needs if you listen, and there are plenty of charts out there with “if you are craving X,Y, or Z, then try eating healthier foods A,B,C, D, E, or F!” and they’re actually not inaccurate...but it is okay to have the “less healthy” foods in moderation, same as in everything you eat.
But seriously, up your protein intake, which is what your body needs to build bigger muscles.  The average (again, your needs may be more) person needs about 4 ounces (115 grams) of protein per meal, so you can shoot for more than that.  And get your proteins from a variety of sources.  Humans can manufacture a good number of amino acids (the building blocks of proteins), but we cannot synthesize 9 of them, the “9 essential amino acids.”
These 9 essential amino acids are: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.   Foods that contain all nine essential acids are called complete proteins. These include eggs, fish, beef, pork, poultry, and whole sources of soy (tofu, edamame, tempeh, and miso).
While plant proteins have lower essential amino acid contents when compared to animal proteins, they will also have different ratios of the various amio acids compared to most animal-based proteins.  This is something that vegetarians and vegans need to keep in mind.
Some plant-based foods can be combined together to complement and/or supplement.  “Rice & beans” is one such combination.  Basically, you combine a grain (in this case rice) with a pulse (legumes, like beans, or peas, etc).  Here in America, in Mexican restaurants, a serving of refried beans and Spanish rice (seasoned with tomatoes & spices) is often automatically included as a side for most dishes.  This provides a great deal of carbohydrates, but it also provides a more or less “complete protein” set of those essential amino acids.
Corn, beans, and squash plants do the same thing, providing a complete protein when combined together, as well as plenty of carbs.  These three plant types are the “Three Sisters” of indigenous North Americans.  They are best when planted together, the corn providing a trellis for the beans to grow upon, the squashes spreading out across the field to smother competing weeds, and together they feed people reasonably well.
However, they are still more carb-heavy than protein-heavy, which means vegetarians need to rely upon other sources such as nuts, plus eggs, dairy, and/or fish (if pisco-lacto-ovarian vegetarians).  Vegans in particular need to be extra careful.  Yes, peanuts have a lot of proteins compared to their carbs, same with almonds, etc, so definitely add nuts to your diets!  But just be aware that you’re going to need to be a lot more conscious of your protein types & sources--and make sure to get a variety of sources--if you’re trying to build muscles while on a vegetarian or especially on a vegan diet.  A purely plant-based diet will not have nearly as balanced a set of amino acids as what animal-inclusive diets can contain.
If you’re lacto-ovarian, this is made easier because milk, cheese, and eggs are wonderful foods with a lot of nutritional value.  If you eat fish as well, even better, full proteins in fish as well as in egg whites, etc...but that brings me to another caveat, because you should probably eat the egg yolks as well as the egg whites.
Do not skip out on fats.  Unless you have a genuine doctor-ordered medical reason, do not cut all fats out of your diet.  Your brain needs fats in order to function.  And just as with amino acids in various protein sources, there are different types of fats as well that our bodies need in different amounts for different reasons.  This isn’t to say you should chow down on the equivalent of a full stick of butter (1/2 cup, 65 grams) with each meal (unless you’re camping outdoors in winter in the far north or a mountain, because then you need fat in your diet for your body to literally burn to help keep you warm).
It’s just that you don’t want to go completely fat free...because if you do, your metabolism will go into panic mode in its primitive/primal-minded way, “ZOMG IT’S LATE WINTER/EARLY SPRING AND NOTHING HAS ANY FATS IN IT WE’RE ALL GONNA STAAAAAARRRVEEE!!” Your metabolism will start turning carbs and even proteins into fats in an effort to ensure your brain (along with other vital organs) will have enough fats to keep functioning.  So go ahead and put some butter on your toast.  Even better, put some nutbutter on your toast, since sunflower butter, peanut butter, almond butter, all those things have proteins and fats as well as carbs.
Also, your body actually does need cholesterol to function, but only in smaller amounts than you’d think.  HOWEVER, if it doesn’t get enough of the right types of cholesterol through diet, your body will make its own cholesterol, and will make more than you need, out of carbohydrates.  (Yeah, this one was a shocker to me when I learned about it, and the answer blew my mind.  Seriously, our body will make up to 10x as much cholesterol as we need if we don’t eat it, so it’s best if we do eat it.)
So how much does an average person need to consume of these critical cholesterols that it absolutely needs?  ...About 1-2 egg yolks a day (or comparable alternative sources; vegans, do some research on alternatives, or just accept that your body may try to overproduce certain cholesterols if it’s feeling nutrition-starved).  Seriously.  Just that much is enough. (Again, your needs may vary based on your body size, metabolic rate, and/or environment.)
So.  Put it all together, and you have:  1. Eat a variety of foods in sufficient quantities and qualities (fats and proteins included) to ensure your body stays healthy; 2. exercise just enough to push your muscles into feeling sore; 3. Rest 48 hours while eating a bit more protein to help your body repair and build bigger muscles; 4. Lather-rinse-repeat... and you’ll eventually get bigger muscles that burn more calories simply by existing, as well as whenever you use them to move just a bit more than you normally would.
Dark meat muscles burn more calories when at rest because they’re designed that way, because they’re small effort but frequent use with multiple short rests, lots of blood flowing through them, and thus are more metabolically “charged” than white meat muscles.  However, white meat muscles tend to be the largest muscles, and thus while not designed to burn calories as efficiently while at rest compared to dark meat muscles...they actually end up burning about the same through sheer volume.
Work on improving your muscles, move a bit more every day, eat more conscientously but not through the heavily warped fearmongering lens of the Diet Industry’s blather and/or tactics, and you will be healthy enough to go to the beach and enjoy it.  Not because you’ll have lost weight, but because you will be healthier.  (Fun fact: muscles are denser and heavier than fat, so you could literally lose inches while gaining pounds from your body burning the fat with its now increased muscle mass.)
And yes, you can weigh 260 pounds and still be healthier than someone who weighs 160.
In other words, if you have a body, and you go to the beach with it, you now have a beach body.
You’ll just be less likely to get out of breath while swimming or building sand castles or playing volleyball or whatever if you’ve upped your exercise levels between now and then.
Also:  CONTINUE TO WEAR A MASK IN PUBLIC.
Get one that matches your swimwear, or makes you feel silly & fun.  Even if everyone started wearing their masks (not going to happen, but one can dream), it will to take us all of 2021 to quell the pandemic...and because people won’t be wearing their masks, keep wearing that mask.  Yes, even if you have had all your shots.  Because people aren’t wearing masks, the virus is able to spread, and when it spreads, there’s always a chance it will mutate, and cause new strains of infections...which it already has.  So wear your damn mask.

Indian cooking has unconventional style of making or cooking things which make them unique and it has its own cooking techniques, methods and equipments. Various cooking techniques are:
Tadka (tempering): it is the most common way of cooking. It essentially means frying whole spices in a little amount of different oil, ghee or butter. It is the aroma released from the spices which give the unique flavor or taste to the main dish which is being cooked, be it vegetables, dals, legumes, cereals or sometimes chicken, meat, fish etc. A tadka commonly has mustard or cumin seeds in oil.
Bhuna (curry): This is way of cooking curries. Here the spices are fried or dry roasted to form a paste. Curries which are served in thick spiced sauce form are made using the Bhuna style. The main ingredients of the dish are later cooked slowly in the paste. It has some variations depending upon what all spices are added in or is there water or milk or curd or yoghurt added to make it in a gravy form.
• Dum (steaming over coal): It is a process of steaming food but without using the actual appliances. A virtual compression is made in the cooking pot. Dough is used to seal the lid on the handi (pot or vessel, so the moisture gets trapped within and the food gets cooked on the flame. The recipes involving dum are usually cooked on coal fire and coal is also placed on the lid to ensure cooking. The most commonly cooked food is the famous Dum Biryani, meat etc. Cooking in dum style gives a unique aroma of the spices and warmth.
• Dhuanaar (smoke seasoning): Dhuanaar actually refers to smoky way of cooking food. The smoky flavor is imparted while cooking. The process involves burning charcoal in a small pot and then keeps it in a bigger pot, around which the meat or vegetables or fish are cooked. Dry spices and ghee are poured over the coal and a lid is place quickly over, so the smoke remains within the pot and infused the smoky flavor within the dish.
• Tawa Cooking: Tawa is a round thick iron griddle, slightly concave in centre and most commonly used for unleavened bread like chapattis, rotis, etc. It is also used for some unique dishes which require fast cooking and in large quantity, with outer rim is used to keep the dish warm. It’s served straight out of the tawa and eaten instantly.
• Talna (frying): Food is fried in different oils in a wok or khadai. It should be shallow or deep fried depends on the dish being cooked.
• Tandoori (clay oven): It is the highlight of the Indian cooking. Here the marinated food is cooked in the clay oven over charcoal fire (approx 550F).The marinated food is put on skewers and cooked inside the hot pit, buried and enclosed. Like rotis, meat, kebabs etc. •
Balchao (pickling): It is a Goan style of pickling where vegetables like eggplant or seafood like prawns are pickled in sugar, vinegar and spices for a day or two.
Foods of India are better known for its spices or vast array of spices used — both whole and ground, which are often combined into complex spice mixed. Common spices that we use in our kitchen are actually not common as it provide health benefits as well as flavor and aroma also. Every spice has its own unique taste and completes the dish as only salt cannot do the magic to satisfy our taste buds. Even now scientist is curious to explore the Indian kitchen to find out more about it. But consumption should be in moderation as everything in excess is bad.
The most commonly used spices are :

Indian cuisine is an assortment of zealously guarded culinary skills, ranging from sharpest to the sublest.
Four directions of India east, west, north, south region greatly influence the religious and cultural aspects giving the wide Varity of cuisine .
North Indian Food Food in the north India, to begin with, Kashmir cuisines. In Kashmir, mostly the dishes are made from the main course of rice found in the beautiful valley. Another delicious item cooked here is the 'Saag' that is prepared with a green leafy vegetable known as the 'Hak'. But on the other hand states like the Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh also show high consumption of chappatis as staple food. Again, these chappatis are prepared with a wide variety of flours such as wheat, rice, Maida, besan, jowar etc. Besides chappatis other closely related breads baked in these regions include Tandoori, Rumaali and Naan, lachha paratha etc. However in the northern region impact of Mughlai food is quite obvious. And some popular dishes are chapattis, biryani (made with rice and cooked with various spices, vegetables.meat etc), tandoori chicken (it is marinated with spice cooked in tandoor and prepared with yoghurt and spices).
West Indian Food In western India, the desert cuisine is famous for its unique taste and varieties of food. Rajasthan and Gujarat are the states that represent the desert flavor of Indian food. Here an immense variety of dals and achars (pickles/preserves), papads is used that simply lack of fresh vegetables in these areas. In the states like Maharashtra, the food is usually a mix of both north as well as south cooking styles. Here people use both the rice and the wheat with same interest. Along the coastline of Mumbai a wide variety of fishes is available. Some of the delicious preparations include dishes like the Mumbai Prawn and Pomfret. In Goa, that is further down towards south, one can notice Portuguese influence in the cooking style as well as in the dishes. Some of the major dishes of this region are the sweet and sour Vindaloo, duck baffad, sorpotel and egg molie etc.
East Indian Food In the eastern India, the Bengali and Assamese styles of cooking are there. The staple food of Bengalis is the mouth watering combinations of rice and fish. Usually the Bengalis love eating varieties of fishes. A special way of preparing the delicacy known as 'Hilsa' is by wrapping it in the pumpkin leaf and then cooking it. Another unusual ingredient that is commonly used in the Bengali cooking is the 'Bamboo Shoot'. Various sweets prepared in this region, by using milk include the 'Roshogollas', 'Sandesh', 'Cham-cham' and many more.
South Indian Food In the southern India, the states make great use of spices, fishes and coconuts, as most of them have coastal kitchens. In the foods of Tamil Nadu use of tamarind is frequently made in order to impart sourness to the dishes. It simply perceive the Tamil Food from other cuisines. The cooking method of Andhra Pradesh is supposed to make more use of chilies, which is used to improve the taste of the dishes. In Kerala, some of the mouth watering dishes are the lamb stew and appams, Malabar fried prawns, Idlis, Dosas, fish molie and rice puttu. Another famous item of this region is the sweetened coconut milk. Yet another dish is Puttu, which is glutinous rice powder steamed like a pudding in a bamboo shoot.
Snacks and Drinks The Indian snacks not only tempt Indians but they also tempt the non-Indians. The delicious snacks can be prepared as salty, sweet or spicy or oily dishes. Pav bhaji is one of the popular Indian snacks. Here slice of bread is served with mashed and fried vegetables. The pani puri perhaps hits the top position among snacks served in India. It is liked by youngsters as well as elderly people. The puffed and hollow bread is stuffed with spicy potato and onion and served with tamarind water. A shot of lime juice, cumin powder, paprika, roasted nuts enhance the taste of the pani puris. Some more mouthing tempting snacks are like pakoras, samosas, jalebi dhokla, bhelpuri, mattra kulcha etc. Tea is the most popular drink in India. It is prepared with milk, sugar and aromatic tea leaves. At different parts of India, tea is boiled with clove, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom to enhance the rich taste. Lassi is another Indian drink made from buttermilk or sweetened yogurt. The drink is sometimes flavored with rose syrup and mango juice. More drinks like nimbu pani, thandai, rassam etc.
Conclusion

Tbh I like chicken cause its like. An accent meat. Its the kinda meat thats only really good when inside other things as an addition, not the main focus. Like. It does have a flavor, but it's light compared to other meats and on it's own its hard to bring out the chicken flavor for that reason. It's best in like. Soups and casseroles and other dishes, especially milk or broth based ones and with cheeses. But compared to other meat ye. Chicken is pretty bland.
perhaps it’s because I’m now a vegetarian, but if that’s the case why bother with the chicken? I say the same thing about tofu, to be fair. if the purpose of a component is simply to vessel things with actual flavour into your mouth, why bother with it? why not just replace it with some complimentary veggies, or cut out that part altogether? I don’t see the point in eating something that’s so comparatively bland and often requires an entire extra stage of cooking (especially as chicken is something you cannot fuck around with; if it’s raw it can make you very sick, and if it’s gone bad it can also make you much sicker than other foods that have gone bad) when the flavours could be great without it. my vegetable soup recipe is an old chicken soup recipe from when I was a kid, but with vegetable stock and no chicken. it fucking slaps and even non-vegetarians go nuts for it. the chicken is totally unnecessary!
(this is definitely the vegetarian in me speaking, so if you don’t want to see me on my ethically sourced high horse feel free to stop reading, but: it’s especially unnecessary to eat meat when there’s no real reason for it to be there. I don’t eat meat myself, but I can appreciate that most of it tastes good and that some dishes are not the same without it. in this case, why bother eating an animal when it adds nothing of its own to the dish and is just a vessel for the (usually vegetarian) side components/seasoning/sauces? you could easily cut it out, and even without animal rights ethics, cutting down on your meat consumption is very good for the environment. if you’re looking to eat less meat, just cut out chicken. you will not miss it.)

A Buncha Tag Games (and yet not all of them)
tagged by: @eggyukhei mwah
tagging: this is a LOT of games so i’ll only tag @atinyphobe @nsheetee and @veonjun for the SECOND (2nd) game. if they or anybody wants to do any of the other games, absolutely go for it and say i tagged you <3 i’d love to see what you guys say!! (also, tk if you felt like you wanted to answer my questions from the second game i’d be interested to see!)
One:
tell me the first song that made you stan your current fave group and why did your faves attract you so much?
ok SO the song that probably got me into rv 100% (also yes ik this blog is 99% nct but rv is my forever fave no question) was probably ice cream cake!! i had been a casual listener of many groups up until that point and had never really stanned anyone, but icc was so infectious i found myself watching it over and over. i had heard happiness and be natural before but hadn’t really listened too closely, so icc was the song that captured me. after that, dumb dumb only cemented my love for them more, and the red is still one of my favorite kpop albums to date. rv attracted me primarily because of their incredible vocals and their versatility in genres and concepts. i still get so excited wondering what they’ll tackle next!! they’re just soooo unique and have one of, if not the best discographies of any group. i cannot stress enough, I. Love. RV!! also they’re funny and gay so. anyway stream monster once it drops uwu
Two:
rule: answer the ten questions and write your own!
1. what is your favorite song that’s been released during quarantine? ooooo honestly??? probably something off of Sawayama. literally every song bangs so hard i highly recommend that album to anyone!! i can’t pick a favorite off it but who’s gonna save you now is awesome and xs is just,,, chef’s kiss
2. what is your greatest mishap when you tried cooking? (or something you’ve witnessed) one time, while making soup at my late grandmother’s house on her like gas stove, i put a lid on a pot and somehow that led the pot to be engulfed in flames. IN MY DEFENSE i was like 7, and i’m great at cooking/baking now
3. what’s your go-to outfit or article of clothing? oh i love a nice dress. they can be casual or formal, and you look like you put effort into your outfit except i didn’t because i didn’t have to match anything yo!!!! also shorts have trouble fitting me cause i’m a weird body type so dresses tend to be very comfy for me
4. what is your comfort food? am i allowed to say like all food??? eating in itself is comforting,,, that sounds depressing but also i just like eating yummy food. i guess i’d say like my dad’s fried rice?? its my fave and no one makes it like him soooo
5. what singular moment in your life would you like to relive? i couldn’t tell if this meant like, a good moment you want to re-experience or go back in time and redo a moment and fix it. it’s kind of a hard question so i might cop out and go with a bit of a silly answer: i want to relive the hi touch with astro...... i wanna look at rocky’s beautiful eyes and touch moonbin’s hand ok,,,,
6. what is your favorite line and/or character from a movie, show, or book? i got a bunch but a few off the top of my head are genie lo (the epic crush of genie lo), ty lee, suki (atla), klaus, and ben (umbrella academy)
7. if you could only choose one ice cream flavor and pizza topping/style for the rest of your life, what would it be? ice cream flavor: this very specific one from a local store that is banana ice cream with strawberries and oreo mixed in. it is heaaaavenly. as for pizza topping, i love a breakfast type pizza with an egg on top and like sausage and stuff!!!
8. what is the worst injury you’ve ever had or witnessed? funny enough, i’ve actually gotten badly injured quite a few times, and always on the face!! god hates me. the worst was probably when i hit a metal bench with my face and it took a chunk out of my cheek. i still have the scar! as for “witnessed” i accidentally broke a grown man’s rib once as a child, so i guess that would count.
9. would you rather explore the unknown of space or the bottom of the ocean? oceaaaan!! i answered this in some other game, but i like how mysterious and yet close the ocean is. like proximity wise it’s so near, yet there’s an insane amount we know nothing about. that’s so frightening but so intriguing
10. if you could be any cartoon character, who would you be? my first thought was literally “kirby. eat fast” GOD my followers are gonna think i’m just a glutton and they’re not even gonna be wrong im dying. but uhh idk mulan or smth?
my questions:
what is your go-to feel good movie?
are you the type of person who’s indecisive about buying, or the type to impulse buy once you see something you like?
do you prefer chocolate-y or fruity candy?
what idol do you think is most similar to you? (not your bias necessarily)
do you have any silly dealbreakers? if so, what are they?
what do you do to unwind?
what is a small thing you like to do for people you love? (be it sending memes, remembering their favorite shows, etc)
what’s/who’s your favorite myth/mythological being?
what is a non-typical pet you would want to have?
do you say pronounce data as day-ta or dah-ta?

Homecookings [March ed.]
How was everyone’s March 2020??!
Here’s mine: Started off the month with staycation, which I didn’t get a lot done (nowhere close to what I had planned) but at the same time, I got quite a lot done. I’m referring to a newly self-taught skill, which is ink painting. I busted out my ink block FINALLY. Those ones where you gotta swirl & melt it in a water reservoir. It’s super old-school & it’s how oriental ink painting is supposed to be done (the liquid ink bottles are modern-style). The ink block has been around for so long; & for the longest time, I didn’t want to start using it bcos I didn’t wanna ruin it lol I wanted to “save” it. But you know what? LET’S GET IT!!!! Every day, I worked on a painting, & I actually ended up with 10 in total. It wasn’t as hard as I thought; I tried different styles, & after 10, I think I have a good grasp of the technique!
Tumblr media
^ Just sharing one :)
I rarely talk about current events on this blog bcos it’s a place for me to document my food adventures as well as travel-related (but mostly food-related) topics, with the rare appearance of Kpop/Kdrama talk. But things have been CRAZY in Alberta! With the COVID-19 ‘formally’ entering the province early March, & ppl hoarding things, to school closures & online classes.. . now semi-lockdown, where only essential service is open, etc.. . The province has, is, & will be going through a lot of changes, as a whole.
To say the ‘official entry’ hasn’t impacted me/my life at all is a lie, however, the impact has been very minimal. Since starting mid-March, there has been daily updates regarding the cases by our Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Hinshaw. *My personal view only* Everyone’s situation is different, & I fortunately, am able to keep my lifestyle pretty much the same at this point. I’m a pretty big home-body to begin with, & as much as I love seeing my friends, I don’t see them that often anyway due to shift work *shrugs* so in terms of the practice of social distancing to my social life, in all honesty, not much impact.
Well, what about my work?! Am I sent home to work???! No. Don’t wanna go into too much detail here, but I will share a little. As a medical laboratory technologist, PPE at work + hand-washing practice is “normal”, as in, there’s nothing to change about it. I may wash my hands more, but ppl that hang out with me know I sanitize/wash hands often anyway so. .. I’m still going to work as a regular full time, doing the things I do; we are an essential service & we gotta be open no matter what! The company has adopted some recommended guidelines put forth by Public Health, such as, “sick leaves” (+ follow up) have now expanded in definition, & staff gets mandatory temperature check at the entrance before we enter the facility. The biggest change at work has been the change in work volume - we are so used to busy, busy, busyyy & now it’s like “let me pick up the next phone call pls!”
Anyway, didn’t mean to start off with such a loooooong update ... Let’s start the real deal: homecookings this month!
Tumblr media
Hmmm .. . what do you think I did with this?
Tumblr media
^ KitKat-covered wafer rolls. I find milk chocolate reallllyyyy sweet so I melted some tiramisu KitKat with some brewed coffee (1. to de-sweeten, & 2. to make the mixture more runny). I crushed majority of the KitKat but I aimed to keep some wafers as large-ish pieces to fulfill texture-building. Then I poured the mixture on top, let cool, then cut into individual pieces.
Tumblr media
^ I then up’ed my game, & nearly tripled the amount of coffee that I used the 1st time. The resulting melted KitKat + coffee mixture was very bitter - just the way I liked it. I didn’t use as much wafer rolls this time bcos I couldn’t; that’s all I had left in the house. But I had some chocolate mix left; thus I just scooped some over Oreo thins.
PS: Oreo thins wins!
PPS: For both experiments, I used half of the large KitKat bar! mmm.. coffee amount was pretty much YOLO-’d.
Tumblr media
^ Kimchi + chicken mini tacos. Stir-fried up some chicken breast & cut up kimchi, & scooped on top of soft corn flour + wheat tortilla tacos. Added some mozza shreds & green onion after.
Tumblr media
^ Another fusion soft taco, consisting of Costco fries & basa fish fillet that’s been cooked in pasta sauce. Decided to add some bacon ranch dressing as well. This was surprisingly a success! I’m not a huuuuge fan of fish, in general. I’ve never tried basa with tomato + herb pasta sauce. I was gonna eat the basa on its own like that, but then I thought, let’s fish taco-it! Got a nice crunch & softness of the basa in 1 bite :D
Tumblr media
^ Beef + cabbage with flat rice vermicelli noodles. This is like my home-made bun bo hue but with a looooooot of cabbage bcos I love cabbage! I used the canned pho soup (diluted it with water), some fish sauce, & fire chicken sauce! Doesn’t look like much, but it was spicy!
Tumblr media
^ baked salmon - used coarse sea salt, fresh ground black pepper, furikake, & white truffle olive oil. YUM!
Tumblr media
^ another baked salmon. I know this probably sounds stupid, but I’m 100% transparent about it haha I have a foil sheet on my toaster oven tray, & I’m not a fan of changing it out every single time, so I’ve come to a consensus with myself that I’ll bake, but use some other dish as a vessel, instead of “baking” on a tray or pan. The last salmon, I used a white dish - it was SO hard to wash afterwards. So this time, I used one of these stainless steel dishes my mom has (& uses for steaming). It was less of a mess!
Anyway, what flavour is the salmon here? Salt, fresh ground pepper, garlic, & honey!
Tumblr media
^ cheese tortellini with pan-seared chicken breast. I made the sauce using: milk, butter, salt, dried parsley, & 2 slices of Kraft mozza singles. Topped with more dried parsley & fresh ground black pepper. (Don’t worry! I had steamed broccoli on the side for my “greens” portion.)
Tumblr media
^ Vegetarian bibimbap. The fried tofu was store-bought, but I cooked it in Korean soy sauce + sugar, so kind of like braised tofu. Mixed salad greens at the bottom, then rice, then the tofu; lastly, some sesame seeds + bibimbap paste.
Tumblr media
^ Ramyeon with mixed greens + chicken breast. Gotta keep it healthy! haha you might find that this is weird - to put salad greens in soup. But let me tell you, use a small amount & try this the next time you buy these veggies. Like just try! If it fails & you don’t like it, you won’t waste too much of it. When you pour soup over it, the greens start to “cook” & decrease in size significantly. With these salad greens, this ‘sorta cooked but not cooked’ texture is another way I personally enjoy them.
Tumblr media
A glass of milk.. . the base for dalgona “hot chocolate”. Do you think it worked or not?
I used 2 tbsp hot chocolate powder with 1.5 tbsp sugar & also 1.5 tbsp of warm water. I manually whisked for a loooooong time, but it didn’t really froth. It became more dense if anything. But anyhow, I ended up with a somewhat heavy product, but was able to *feel* there was some air in it. I went for it.. . scooped it on top of the milk.. . And.....
Tumblr media
This happened! It did not build up on top, but settled nicely at the bottom lol. You try with hot chocolate powder & let me know if it worked for you or not! :P
Tumblr media
^ Post-night shift brunch =] I try to eat somewhat cleaner when I’m on nights by doing less meat compared to my usual diet. I don’t know what it is. .. I just crave more vegetables + non-meats. So I made braised tofu (just soy sauce & sugar) & cabbage soup (seasoned with gochujang & salt, so it’s a little spicy). It looks really red but it’s actually very mild.
All in all, pls stay home if you can during this time. If the sacrifice isn’t done now, the result will be much more devastating later down the road.
Talk to you later~

[茶碗蒸し]
Chawanmushi is a classic, comforting and very popular egg side dish: it does wonders warming our bellies and souls.
[dekitateyo.com]
Chawanmushi, as the word 茶碗蒸し says (chawan “tea cup” + mushi, “steamed”), is a type of egg custard dish steamed inside small cups. Differently than most Western-style custards, this staple of washoku cuisine is actually… a savory dish!
In Japan, chawanmushi is a significantly popular side dish that can be prepared either at home or ordered in several izayaka/restaurants. The variety of ingredients and dashi can make each chawanmushi a very unique (and delicious) experience. That’s why you will often see chawanmushi being served at high-end restaurants – they definitely want to show up the quality of their dashi.
Fun trivia: when I was younger and still learning the very basics of Japanese language, I used to wonder why this dish was called “bug cup” (茶碗虫, also ‘chawanmushi’ but with different kanji characters)… I found out later on that lots of people make that same mistake.
As a matter of fact… Surprise, that issue about bug or steamed? is also the main topic of a folk song from Kagoshima Prefecture:
youtube
ちゃわんについた虫じゃろかい "Is it a bug (mushi) in the cup?" in Kagoshima Prefecture's dialect [more details about the song]
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Although chawanmushi is an egg custard, you usually only use one egg for two portions. In fact, the largest volume of chawanmushi comes from its dashi stock - that's why this is a good recipe to experiment with dashi extraction. For today's post, I used Hida kombu, katsuobushi and corn cobs seasoned with shōyu, mirin and a pinch of salt.
The filling is an assortment of ingredient portions that you add in the mix as small “hidden surprises” for the guests. Crab, chicken, kamaboko, chestnut, matsutake mushrooms, vegetables... Some places serve their chawanmushi with a small piece of umeboshi on top to give it a salty shock that enhances other flavors.
You don't need to go fancy all the times - at home, sometimes I make chawanmushi only with eggs and dashi. It's simple, but actually super good too!
The measurements of this recipe yield around four small cups.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
1 egg
200ml of dashi
1tbsp of shōyu
1 tbsp of mirin
Toppings of choice (I used for today’s post: shiso leaf, mitsuba, small pieces of chicken thighs, shrimp, umeboshi and Japanese mushroom assortment)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Steps:
First, extract the dashi and season it – then leave your stock to cool to room temperature.
Beat the egg well in a small bowl. Combine it with the dashi and the seasonings.
Sieve the mixture to remove any remaining solid parts.
Parboil the raw toppings (chicken and seafood), until half done.
Afterwards, place the toppings at the bottom of the cup then fill it with the egg and dashi mixture.
Cook the chawamushi using a steamer or in bain-marie until the center is set.
Serve the dish.
Tips:
Hot or cold? Well, in reality chawanmushi is a versatile dish and can be served in both ways!
You may use any kind of dashi for this dish, including vegetarian ones! Try mixing different types of ingredients for different results.
Big families often make this dish using a large tray instead of individual cups. That’s actually a good idea if you are planning to prepare a larger serving of chawanmushi at once.

no one tagged me, i just felt like doing this!! also, i didn’t want to answer all those questions, so instead i just made a little list of some fun facts about me lol
my sim traits are: family oriented, gloomy, and vegetarian

i’m a big morning person, i literally go to sleep at 8 pm most nights
i’m pretty confident in myself and i rarely feel insecure (which is weird because i have depression & anxiety so you would think i would worry about that, but nope. i just worry about EVERYTHING else lol)

Whenever I look online for good options while working out/ eating healthy, it's constantly brown rice, broccoli, and grilled chicken. What else can I make?
Buckle up for a hard-and-fast breakdown on carbs!
I’m no dietitian, but from what I understand about what you should eat before working out, you need lots of carbs– and not just any carbs, but a mix of complex (usually starchy things like bread, rice, and potatoes) and simple carbs (fruits!). It’s pretty easy to achieve this, though! Protein is also necessary. Simple toast with peanut butter and bananas will provide you with a good amount of both. Yogurt and granola, or yogurt based smoothies with oatmeal are another good option– I used to make peanut butter smoothies before going for a climb. Keep in mind that for most workouts, you really don’t need much: one slice of toast or a small, 6-8oz smoothie will generally do you quite well. Save the bigger meals for long hikes!
However, you’ll find that most guides on eating healthy tell you to avoid carbs, and for good reason. Carbs and sugar go hand in hand, and sugar is terrible for you. There’s also the problem of “wheat belly,” which is that pouch of fat on the stomach that the average person can’t get rid of no matter how hard they try– it has to do with how the body processes wheat (wheat beers also contribute to this– and beer bellies!). So it seems that it’s a vicious cycle, right? Eat carbs to work out, work out because you eat carbs?
Kind of. There is such a thing as a “good” carb, though– whole wheat bread vs refined white bread is an obvious example. Nuts have tons of good carbs AND good fats (”Wait, there’s good fat??” I hear some people say. It’s true: the fat that comes from beans, nuts, yogurt, etc, is actually good for you– in fact, it’s necessary for you to be healthy as your body can only take in vitamins A, D, and E through fat! Just be careful with saturated fats). So when you’re eating good carbs and also working out, you can be confident that you’re making good choices for yourself. You just need to be aware of how many “refined” carbs you’re eating, because too many of those cause your blood sugar levels to spike, which then actually triggers the “eat more” signal in your brain when it drops again– even if you don’t actually need to eat.
So, the brown rice and broccoli you mentioned are good carbs. Others include quinoa, sweet potatoes, bananas, oats, legumes, nuts, and seeds. When it comes to protein, people always talk about chicken because it has much less saturated fat than beef or pork. But don’t forget about turkey and fish, or vegetable proteins if you avoid meat altogether! These have the same benefit.
And, as always, everything in moderation. Every meat has its own list of pros and cons. Beef and pork certainly won’t kill you if you eat them a few times a week, just don’t be eating a prime rib every night (well, unless you’re eating one, single, solitary rib. That’s probably okay*). So, finally, here is a list of recipes that avoid the “chicken, rice, and broccoli” diet:
Roasted Vegetable Quinoa Bowls (GF and Vegan)
Lemon Garlic Pork Tenderloin (tenderloin has a relatively low fat content compared to other cuts of pig)
15 under-30-minute salmon recipes from iFoodReal
Shrimp and Vegetable Summer Rolls (easy to make without shrimp for a vegetarian option)
Channel your inner Scarlet Witch with Chicken Paprikash
Beef Tenderloin and Pickled Onions (Again, a less fatty tenderloin, plus beef and pickled onions are so great together. Pickled onions are so easy, too! Just slice up a red onion and add it to a jar with vinegar, a little sugar, and some seasonings and you’ve got an easy topping for your veggie bowls and sandwiches.)
What? Even dessert? You bet! Caramel Pudding
And last of all, please keep in mind that every person is different, and what works for others may not work for you for a variety of reasons. If in doubt about what you can eat, always talk to your doctor. I can’t answer this question in a way that’s perfect for everyone, but if anyone would like recipes good for their specific diet needs, I’m always here to help!
*Don’t quote me on that.

HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT FAST 10Kg In 15 Days
Tumblr media
hi guys a lot of comments coming for which planar died to follow after achieving weight loss following my egg diet or other plans so I thought of publishing a video on which kind of diet should you follow to maintain your weight after considerable weight and fat loss while following a meal plan you eat clean and healthy and your body slowly starts adapting to it your body gets detoxed and your fat and weight goes down all my diets especially my egg diet results in fat.
loss and not water loss but after any meal plan if your game start eating the way you were eating before then you will again start gaining weight and become what you were before it's simple logic so the idea is to eat everything which is healthy and still maintains weight and fat percentage this plan is an example to make you understand what should you eat and what not and you can make changes according to your needs so let's get started on an empty stomach.
I suggest having apple cider vinegar with mother mixed with warm water or if you're allergic to a CV then have lemon water or the one's allergic to both can have my coriander fat cutter drink empty stomach now many don't know what is ACB with mother so this is how apple cider vinegar good mother looks like this is from Bragg and it's a well-known brand especially for a CV I have been using its various products like extra-virgin olive oil and seasonings and I love this brand drinking a CV in the morning will help maintain the pH level regulate blood sugar lower blood pressure and accelerate weight loss mother in apple cider vinegar is actually strands of proteins enzymes and friendly bacteria if you by normal apple cider vinegar it will look like plain apple juice and I don't recommend using
This a CD with Madonna is easily available and certainly beneficial for your body you can also have solely water made with Himalayan pink salt but then you will have to avoid tea and coffee else it doesn't work the way it should in breakfast have something healthy which has lots of proteins and fiber and will keep you going for a few hours this fights hunger and helps avoid untimely snacking if you like eggs and either has boiled eggs or cabbage egg omelet and if you are a vegetarian then have semolina pancake or suji Cachola dough semolina is made from wheat but has healthy carbs to get you going through the day these recipes were recently published in my channel and the video links are in the description box there are many more healthy recipes in my channel if you don't like suc uk attila you can opt for something else add vegetables of your choice and make the way you wish to try adding flaxseed powder to add to the nutrition I recommend recipes like these and sort of paratha roti or bread in the morning as this way you are able to eat a lot of veggies and proteins and still be on a low-carb fold also have a cup of green tea along with your breakfast you can use much about ER teabags or loose tea you can also try the tree variants
I'm currently using from the matcha reserve I have tried most of their variants and I'm loving them they have a good taste and you can actually use these Deepak's twice in between breakfast and lunch you can have a cup of milk tea or fefe restore along with five almonds don't snack on energy bars chips biscuits at Cetera you can also have walnuts and goji berries peanuts or Makana as but in limited quantity for lunch you can have rotis made with either oats or quinoa flour or use my weight loss roti recipes normal weight roti has a lot of gluten so instead, mix your dough with something which is rich in proteins and fiber and can help you lose weight like flax seeds powder chia seeds a sweet potato or leafy greens etc I am one to two roti s only and eat more of lentils salad with mint or coriander chutney to fill in your stomach you can also have brown rice if you don't have roti s in the lunch don't have white rice as it has a lot of empty carbs start having brown rice it is rich in fiber and proteins and keep
You full for a long time you can also buy brown basmati rice if you don't like the regular variant of brown rice in evening instead of something fried I have two slices of brown bread or multigrain bread but check the label and then buy it should not have wheat flour or refined flour or any kind of sugar added to them a toaster bread as it lessens the quantity of carbs hapten with almond butter sunflower seed butter or peanut butter these have healthy fats and also keep the hunger of a try buying butter which is purely organic and unsweetened as most of these have preservatives flavors and unhealthy oils added to them apply butter moderately and enjoy with a cup of green tea I'm using weight loss and detox green tea from the macho reserve instead of bread and butter, you can also have the bowl of fresh fruits eat any seasonal fruit of your choice or just have two bananas you can also, use any smoothie recipe from my channel most of them are easy and very filling now let's come to dinner if you had roti in the lunch then have brown rice for dinner limit the quantity to one cup of rice remember portioning is the key you can have brown rice or wild rice along with tofu stir, fried chicken liver roasted chicken leafy greens like spinach etc you can also have a bowl of soup or bowl of Lenten that is style with salad or one chicken breast steamed fish etc oily curries gravies red meat etc will only add to your weight and make you fat so avoid especially in the dinner that you can have in your cheat days as a cheat menu say once in a fortnight that you're during the day time.

Meal of the Day: Whitescale Salmon and Rice
Tumblr media
So as I talked about previously, Pryn and I are trying to learn how to budget.
Wait let me back up.
Pryn is trying to learn how to budget. I am trying to keep her from absolutely destroying that budget. Having spent the last three years living on the streets of Silvermoon (among other places), money has always become a luxury that should be hoarded. Having spent her entire life the daughter of two successful Trade Baronesses, money for Pryn has always been a non-issue, something to be thrown at problems or spent like water. I don’t think in the entire time I’ve known her I’ve seen her look at a price tag even once.
I do. I look at those price tags. I have an aneurysm every time.
So my biggest quest is to figure out how to slash our budget wherever I can. As much as I would like to just eat every meal in the Keg, that doesn’t seem fair to A-mom and J-mom, who make their livelihood there.
Pryn doesn’t eat meat, so that narrows our options down to fish or straight vegetarian, and as good as I am at scavenging greens, we both have very active lifestyles and need more than just veg. That’s Jax-speak for “I’ll be blighted if I’m going to let her get as skinny as I was”.
The first few things I did was use the tips from my job at the Keg to get a few essentials that would last a good long time. A bag of beans and a few pounds of rice we can make stretch. Next I headed to the docks to watch the fishmongers. There’s one big dude from Northrend, I swear he’s part Vykrul, anyhow around 11th bell, when the City starts to warm up, he gets real generous with the meats in order to finish his sales for the day and get back to his boat. Today I ducked out of Mess over lunch and ran down to see what I could find.
One of my favorite parts of seafood is the crispy fried skin of a pinkfish, seasoned with citrus and green ragveil. Light it’s so good. But those cuts are expensive enough that even when I lived at home, we’d only have it a few times a year. Before money became an object, I made it for Pryn about once a month. But as luck would have it, since that cut is so popular, it’s really easy to find less desirable (and therefore less expensive) cuts of Whitescale salmon.
I managed to scavenge a few wild squash from a nearby farm that just so happened to have an entire field of squash growing wild in neat rows (so weird how nature does that) and now it’s time to make dinner.
Rice is incredibly bland by itself, but it doesn’t have to be. In a heavy bottom skillet, mix one cup rice and just under 2 cups of broth. I used chicken stock from the Keg for extra flavor. Then I added crumbled briarthorn, garlic (both powdered and fresh), onion (powdered and dehydrated bits), sungrass seed, black pepper and dried parsley. I have access to a fully stocked spice rack at my job, you can add whatever smells good to you. Then I added two chopped tablespoons of cow butter and two medium sized fadeleaves. Bring to a boil, cover and cook for about 18 minutes. Once done, remove the pot from the flame, fluff the rice and recover for another 5 to let it keep steaming.
Tumblr media
Fair warning, this stuff smells absolutely insane. It will be hard to stay out of.
Next comes the fish. I got a medium skillet screaming hot then added a small mix of butter and oil. This is to get a nice sear on the fish. I also seasoned the fish with green ragveil and a pepper mix made with salt, black pepper and dried lemon zest.
One thing I quickly realized is that discount cuts are discount for a reason. While pretty on top, they were poorly and messily butchered from the fish and tried to fall apart on me. While I don’t think that’s going to be something Pryn notices, it’s something to pay attention to when cooking.
Cook them on one side for about three minutes, then carefully flip for another three minutes. When it’s no longer translu... Tranqui... Kinda see-through-ish and flakes with a fork, it’s done. Carefully remove from the pan and set aside to rest.
While this fish is just absolutely insane on its own, I decided to kick it up a notch with a lemon butter sauce. As I said before, butter is plentiful in Human and Dwarven territories and I had managed to get a nice sized lemon from the tree near that awesome farm. No the tree didn’t belong to the farmer, it just happened to be growing right up against his house. He didn’t have a sign on it or anything.
This is really easy. In a small pan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter along with the juice and zest of one lemon. Add a finely chopped clove of garlic and if you’re feeling super fancy and have the means, throw in about two tablespoons of capers. Let those flavors get to know each other and then spoon the mixture over your fish. And your rice. And your veg. Or just right into your mouth I’m telling you it’s just so good.
And speaking of veg, that’s the one part I haven’t touched on yet. I had been planning to coarse chop and steam them but I also didn’t feel like making yet another dirty dish, so I sliced the squash into coins and as soon as the fish was done, added a bit more butter and pan seared them until they had just developed a nice crust.
Layer each coin neatly in the pan and let them gently cook until golden brown on one side. At which point, let your childlike impatience win out and just dump all of them into the pan, tossing occasionally until sorta-evenly cooked. Hide your surprise at how delicious it actually turned out that way and breathe like a dragon as you test it frequently for poison while very very hot.
And now you have all your parts in order. All that’s left is to plate in a manner suitable for a Princess and enjoy the fact that this fancy ass meal cost a fraction of what it tastes like it should.
Tumblr media

126.Do you believe in true love?
Kind of. I believe that no relationship is ever perfect, but if people gel well and COMMUNICATE OFTEN AND HONESTLY the relationship can be amazing. I guess it’s its own kind of perfect relationship. Also I’m a raging bi, so gender wouldn’t matter. :P
