here's the clip from the Seb and Kimi joint RTL interview filmed in China 2012 where, among other things, they showed Seb's impersonation of Kimi the year before to Kimi (and kept in the part where he almost slips up and says "I love-- I mean, Kimi's a very nice guy"), and show the music video that Kimi was in to Seb.

As you can see, Seb asks what the song means and sings "Kimi is a great guy~" before Kimi can explain (towards the end at 0.08)

[...] For the RTL viewers, I teamed up with Kimi [Räikkönen] and had a few duels. However, that was quite harmless, with table football and puzzles. Honestly - and I freely admit I’m poking the bear here - the finale, and indeed Ted Lasso as a whole, feels like an aspec’s dream. So many shows prioritise romance over everything else, and I am fucking delighted that Ted Lasso never did that.

Rebecca and Ted not together? Keeley, Jamie and Roy love triangle/throuple not resolved? Was Trent ever into Ted? Loose ends are exasperating, sure, but romance was never the point of the show. The point is that the love is there regardless of what form it takes - between Keeley, Jamie and Roy, between Ted and Rebecca, between Nate and Ted, between Beard and Ted, between Trent and the Diamond Dogs, between Nate and the team, between the various Greyhounds, between all these other individuals who’ve been touched by the events at Richmond FC - and that’s always been the freaking point.

Having seen this excellent post by @threecheers-forsweetrevenge, I got a bit fixated on the mention that Seb bought this one bike because Kimi advised him on it(x), and wanted to take a closer look.

So Seb got himself a custom Marcus Walz to celebrate his 2010 championship win.

So Kimi had two different bike models custom made for him by the same designer: Iceman I, and later, Iceman II, which is the one in the photo.

Iceman II was custom made to celebrate his Ferrari champion title, which makes it all the more interesting that Seb chose to celebrate his first title with the same bike model 👀

Not only that, but take a look at the bikes side by side:

And I don't know if this was custom written for Kimi or if it's a designer thing, but I thought it was funny that Seb had the 2010 GPs written around his seat, while the only similar text on Kimi's is "Built in Hell"

So I don't know where I'm going with this, but it's like...

Even their bikes look like they should be side by side.

Just realised Simi has the same vibes of DinLuke I'm distressed

Young blond twink who's an actual factual menace he's all smiles and sunshine until he gets down to business, he brought down legends, the moment he steps on the field people are TERRORISED by him but he's also just some cute guy from a small town and has the determination of 1000 suns and sass to spare

paired with

gruff old man who just want to Do His Thing (you could say he just wants you to "leave him alone, he knows what he's doing"), chillest guy in the universe he is content with his job he doesn't need anybody he doesn't talk to anybody to everyone he is a mystery, people trying to tell him he is this Big Fucking Deal for Ferrari Mandalore and he's just like no. Can't I just do my job. He sort of cares about two (2) people.

And then they somehow end up together raising a child a grid and unlikeky bestfriendism ensue.

I don't know how to explain I feel you need to be really deep in the Simi lore and in the DinLuke rabbithole but it's there. Sebastian has the talent, determination and attitude of a Luke Skywalker who has accessed his full potential and Kimi has the stoic attitude and that "I care about one person and one person only the rest of y'all I don't fuck with" mentality of Din Djarin. To me.

Something about Luke and Sebastian being living legends and being burdened to carry the future of Ferrari/The Jedis and falling (damn you, sequels trilogy!) and Kimi and Din stumbling through becoming idols of the masses (Kimi being the last Ferrari champion still and winning in his first year like no big deal/Din accidentally becoming the king of Mandalore)
