Sorry y'all for my lack of progress on Sarabande of Healing.
My Christmas break is still due next week and now we're wrapping up all our major assignments for this month. I'm also writing a short story just in time for the holidays, to add to my busy schedule. But to make up for my silence, I've been redrawing certain CV characters to make up for it (I intend to recreate them digitally in the future).
I also took the time to streamline my overarching outline for The Curse of Darkness's story. So far, I'm done polishing Sarabande of Healing and I'm so excited to write them down. The first part overall would make use of five locations from the game; we already got the Abandoned Castle and the Bahljet Mountains.
Tumblr media
As for now, I'm redrawing my version of Julia Laforeze (still needs a bit more detail and coloring) and also currently dead-set on writing Chapter 5.
PS: Regarding my thoughts on the new Season 2 trailer. A bit of an improvement from Season 1 based on what we're shown, but it still doesn't redeem the show for me nor did it get me hyped in the same vein as Arcane's second season. In any case, it just fuels my hatred for the show as well as my desire to write Sarabande of Healing more and more.

Finished the second season of Castlevania: Nocturne and loved it! Spoilers below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Angry boi PROTEC HIS MAN!!!! Just his running to Mizrak, so worried. Even interrupted his revenge. I just love that his serpent form came back T-T And multiple times!!!
The fight scenes were so good!!! Just so many amazing ones!
ALSO WHAT DOES ADRIAN MEAN NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU SAVED MY LIFE???? I AM-!!!!
(So happy they know each other and I think it's hilarious my fic could potentially be a prequel now alkdjalkdjaljdalj)
Everyone cute. Annette and Richter were just awww. Glad Edouard and Annette get to stay together, and Edouard can go home and get his bass player :3
Also so many gorgeous Adrian bits. Truly. Him coming out of the river was so mmmm. Also loved all the magic he got to use XD And the music was fun!
Also loved all the Egyptian stuff. The soul count was a little... (I was like why are you saying just 2 or 3, there's more than that...?), but apparently the # of parts has changed over time (it's not just 4 or 5) and it's you know, vampires during the French Revolution, so sure, whatever. The trip to Duat was fun! And Ammit's form was pretty cool.
Poor Tera. Bye Emmanuel, no one misses you.
Loved that we got some dragon fighting. Also that the dragon didn't die. Was worried. Though I will say, Sekhmet punching it was kind of funny aldkjlaj I felt sort of bad when Juste, Richter, and Maria were all boosting its breath like, "That can't be too comfortable for the dragon..."
Just think it's funny we have animated Robespierre joining forces with the son of Dracula to defend Paris from a crazy Hungarian serial killer noble who believes she's the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian goddess lol
The return of Drolta was really fun. I was sad she was in so relatively little of season 1. This was really great.
For historical things, I appreciate that they referenced how folks in France sold and bought food to watch executions. I also appreciate the reference to the trend of European obsession with eating mummies.
I will be thinking about Mizrox's future. I feel bad I'm mostly happy Olrox survived the season lol I like Mizrak just fine, and I like that Olrox likes him, but my priority is Olrox, not Mizrak, sorry lol Clearly they have some things to work out XD Should be fun (for someone, I hope). Someone else pointed out they never talked about the animal/soul stuff, and it was kind of just... Mizrak getting over it (or side-stepping it) and not apologizing to Olrox about it. And Olrox just... kind of accepting that the guy he's in love with is like this. I think it's funny that after having written You reluctant demon back in 2023, where they do have a conversation about it, I completely forgot it as a thing I wanted to happen lol Cause in my mind the matter is settled. Like the show, quite frankly, feels like neat fanfiction to me at this point (that's not what it is, but that's how my brain works, it's part of why I wasn't as anxious about season 2 releasing as I was for season 3 of the first series releasing). It's great in all the things it does, amazing stuff I never could have thought of, which is far better than a lot of the stuff I did in my fic (and those fight scenes, dang). But yeah, I do agree, they should have talked about it. And they don't. And it's... mm...
Another thing is that Mizrak maybe still has some racism to unpack. There's that line Olrox has about when his people were massacred by the Spanish, and Olrox says, "And our terrifying gods could do nothing to save us." And Mizrak replies, "Perhaps your gods were the problem," and it's like what the fuck Mizrak lol I don't know if it's part of his struggles with his own faith, which is very obviously happening, how if a god exists, they're allowing all this stuff to happen, that Emmanual failed so hard, and believing in a god - which is his issue - is causing so much of his issues (it's making him believe his affection for Olrox is false, that Olrox doesn't have a soul, and/or it's not saving him from what he believes is a wrong attraction, idk). Or, from a semi-logical standpoint, that Olrox's people were attacked because they weren't Christian, and that the Spanish wouldn't have attacked Olrox's people if they were Christian. Or simply that "well it's your fault for not being Christian", I have no idea. It's a weird moment. We have really not moved past the "animal" conversation all that much. Olrox is very, very forgiving. And I am way more forgiving because I forgot I resolved most of this in my fic over a year ago lol I don't know, relationships are messy, I enjoyed what I saw of them. Olrox running to Mizrak's side was a lot and I loved it. The way Olrox is like, "I thought you wanted to know" killed me.
ANYWAY though... it was a good season. Really, I liked it.

Castlevania Nocturne Mini Analysis: Mizrak’s catalyst
Tumblr media
I remembered this shot after talking to Tackwithers about the abbot, his control over night creatures and in turn just people in general. Everything began to just CLICK into place about what made Mizrak go seek Olrox and what was his tipping point. This will be an informal short analysis, but I do hope you enjoy the read!
Now lets get this show on the road!
In episode 3, we getting shots were it cuts between Annette and the abbot- acting both as pillars for their causes. Both of their meeting effecting each other despite being miles apart. The Revolution meeting gets ambushed by night creatures. Those night creatures can be heard all the way towards the abbey.
By this point in time, we do not know that the Abbot controls these night creatures, but he DOES, we find this out later. He’s telling his army of the dead to go attack Richter, Annette and Maria (intentionally or not, she is in the crossfire). Of course, the night creature attack distrubs the church and people get scared rightfully so. To calm them down, the Abbott says the following:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It’s alright, stay in your seats. We’re safe.”
It’s truth. The abbot controls the night creatures, and therefore their safety is completely certified.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“God will protect us.”
It focuses on Mizrak out of all people. He’s basked in blinding white light.
Mizrak is the only man in that room to know that it is the abbot controlling those night creatures, causing these people strife. He knows the abbot is at this point, IS ACTING LIKE A GOD. The abbot is basically choosing who gets to be safe, and who doesn’t. He decides who lives and who will die.
It is cruel. It is unfair.
It is the last shot we see of him in episode 03.
The next time we see Mizrak is in bed with Olrox. The only other person who knows the truth to the Abbot. Aka the sole reason he even seeks him out.
Tumblr media
How did it lead to them having sex? We’re not exactly sure, but Mizrak went out to find HIM for help. It adds a whole lot of emotional complexity to Mizrak because we now understand how he got pushed and how the abbot was his catalyst to start doing things behind his back. What’s a good way to showcase this immediately?
Breaking your vow to the church.
(Also side tangent, as loud and as stubborn Mizrak is, passion is one of his main things. He’s passionate about his faith, about his values, protecting others and so on, that it literally overtakes him and goes on monologues, that is until Olrox speaks up. Sex is also an act of passion, take that with what you will. This is what this side tangent was leading to.)
Tumblr media
Olrox knows the truth, which is why he kept prodding Mizrak for HIS opinions. This is why we get THIS RESPONSE. Mizrak has to start thinking for himself because there is evil everywhere.
Even in the church.
He can’t fully trust the abbot anymore. That man will continue to chip away at his trust until Mizrak has no choice but to face the truth himself and stand alongside Richter and co. It’s also why he is super reluctant on sharing things with Olrox. Emotions can’t get in the way of duty when people’s lives are at stake.
Tumblr media
I would love to go into this further and deeper but I’ll stop here and leave the rest for you to decipher (it’s also 3am here). I thought it was important to at least put in my two cents while I think about Nocturne after season 2’s trailer dropped and especially learning that there’s going to be ✨more stuff✨about the Mizrak and Olrox.

Made this list while I was in the mood
Classical music pieces that I associate with twst characters
Tumblr media
* these pieces are available to listen to on youtube. Perhaps I will make a video with them one day. But I doubt it. * I apologize for any mistakes, it was a lot of information to digest * updated because I forgot to add Presto for Malleus, sorry!
Malleus - Vivaldi - The Four Seasons - "Summer" - 1 Allegro Non Molto and 3 Presto (I mean of course these ones. Add evil overblot laugh here too.) ok also Schubert - Erlkönig (The Elf King), D. 328
Sebek - Prokofiev - Romeo and Juliet, Suite No. 2, The Montagues and Capulets "Dance of the Knights" (it's just him. period.) or Rachmaninov - Musical Moment No.4 in E minor or Rachmaninov - Prelude in C Sharp Minor (Rachmaninov for Sebek in general lol)
Silver - Grieg - Peer Gynt, Suite no. 1 "Morning mood" or Debussy - Clair de lune (from "Suite bergamasque") (Yes, basic, but it fits so so much so)
Lilia - Chopin - Fantaisie impromptu in C-Sharp minor, Op. 66 (first notes - Lilia's evil grin, then whimsical nature and the whirl of memories of countries he has been to. When it goes hard, it's cooking, some violence, and then when it gets gentle, it's when he remembers Silver's childhood. Then he softens in general but also reminds us about his playful nature and strong character.)
Idia - Vivaldi - The Four Seasons - "Winter" - 1 Allegro Non Molto (resembles how Idia speaks when he's getting confident and how his character, in general, opens up. And kinda gives me his genius vibes)
Ortho - Graun - Gigue in B-Flat minor (sounds like super-fast calculation is going on. But also, some notes sound like random signals and/or signs of creativity/sudden thoughts in AI) also Chopin - Etude Op. 10 No. 5 (Black Keys)
*Erik Satie for Octa in general. Gives me mysterious underwater vibes*
Azul - Satie - Gnossienne No. 1 and Gymnopedie no.1 also kinda Chopin - Nocturne Op. 9 No. 1 (pondering, deep in thought, underwater, calculating, but also melancholic…)
Jade - Satie - Gnossienne No.3 (such big Jade vibes)
Floyd - Liszt - Mephisto Waltz No. 1 (hehe)
Leona - Haydn - Symphony No. 49 in F minor ' La Passione ' (it's long, but it's worth listening. I just imagine Leona's character and lore in general here)
Jack - Händel - Suite no. 11 in D minor. Sarabande (not really sure about this one. But it gives me 'strength and determination and values' vibes today)
Ruggie - Mozart - Symphony No. 40 in G minor, IV. Allegro assai (reminds me how he can adapt and be different if needed. Also, it sounds quite boisterous, like Ruggie is going fast, fast, fast and earning a lot, lot, lot!)
Kalim - Mozart - The Marriage of Figaro, K. 492: Overture (specifically wanting to throwa feast)
Jamil - Chopin - Waltz in E minor, Op. Posth. (he's so skillful and makes it look like he's not even trying, but he's super hardworking. Also, some parts sound like his occasional emotional outbursts) also - Chopin - Prelude in E Minor (I can't explain it, but it's just Jamil for me. I feel so sorry for him - he's such a cool and talented (and handsome) guy, and such destiny mgd. Or maybe I'm just in a melancholic mood today)
Vil - Vivaldi - The Four Seasons - “Spring” - 1 Allegro (won't be original meh. like there're so many classical pieces that fit Vil but I don't really wanna bother here so)
Rook - Mozart - Le Nozze di Figaro: "Non più andrai, farfallone amoroso" (instrumental) (ookay it was hard with Rook because I think a lot fits him but I'll stop with this one or I'll never finish this list)
Epel - Litvinovsky - Pelléas and Mélisande: III. Galliard. Navire dans la tempête (Galliard. Ship in a storm) (unrelated but my life is divided into before seeing Epel in Book 7 dreams and after)
Riddle - Beethoven - Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Op. 67 I. Allegro con brio (duh. basic but c'mon. it suits him)
Ace - Litvinovsky - Suite for Strings "Le Grand Cahier": IV. Nos Etudes (yes that's how I feel Ace)
Deuce - Tchaikovsky - The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a: March of the Toy Soldiers (Deuce the honour student edition)
Cater - Beethoven : Sonatina in F Major plus "a glimpse of a depressed real Cater" one - Chopin - Mazurka in A minor, Op.17, No.4
Trey - Beethoven - Sonata No. 8 in C Minor Pathetique, Op. 13 (Adagio cantabile) (I tried to find someting "normal" meh so went with this today)
Special mentions
Rollo - Mozart - Requiem, 3 Dies Irae Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565 Orff - Carmina Burana: Fortuna imperatrix mundi. O fortuna (super super obvious but c'mon it's basically canon)
Baul - Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries (ya Baul has big Wagner vibes for me)
Grim - Edvard Grieg – In the Hall of the Mountain King (the escalation lol)

my most controversial take is that plenty of the season 3 episodes aren't bad - they're pretty good for the most part. i like a few of the concepts it introduced (blood blossoms, the infinity map) and a few characters that i thought were cool (nocturn, amorpho). it was also nice seeing characters like wulf and walker again along with what i think are two genuinely great episodes (eye for an eye, d-stabilized)
but the problem is that almost all of the episodes are one-offs. sure the first 2 seasons had their fair share of standalone episodes but the show wasn't entirely made of them
so when season 3 came along being almost entirely composed of standalones throwing in all these new concepts and characters while also being the show's final season and leaving no room breathing room to really develop anything it ended contributing to part of what made the last season so lackluster

Okay, finally making a post about Castlevania Nocturne 'cause holy hell, was that good.
The characters are so interesting and 3-dimensional. The good guys have their faults and the bad guys have lines they won't cross. Like, Richter being this badass fighter, but also getting scared shitless when he sees Olrox and runs away. And even Olrox himself, who killed Richter's mom, but also doesn't really want Erzebet in charge.
All of the characters are hot, I'm just saying. Literally. All of them.
This show definitely stepped up with the LGBT representation, good for them
Edouard was so interesting! I was kind of miffed when I thought they killed him off, but them to see him turn into a night creature and still remember who he was, and even using his singing to encourage the night creatures to remember who they were and rebel, that was so cool!
Fighting scenes were top notch, absolutely stellar. I loved seeing new uses of magic, like Maria summoning animals and Anette pretty much being an Earthbender.
When Richter gets his magic back and Bloodlines starts playing, holy hell, I screamed. That was so fucking good.
Also screamed when Alucard showed up. Was literally like "My baby!" Ah, I missed my boy.
Overall, I loved this first season. Maybe the original Castlevania show is a little bit better, but Nocturne still fucking rocks. So hyped for season 2.

Olrox, the Conquest of the Nahua, and Why Hernan Cortez is one of the Biggest Assholes of History
Tumblr media
One of my most liked posts here on tumblr - outside of some shitposts - is the one I did about the historical context of Olrox in season 1 of Nocturne. It just so happens that reading a lot of anthropological works during the last year, I also learned a lot about both the Nahua, the conquest of their culture, and about what a massive fucking dick Hernan Cortez was.
So, let me once again share this with you.
As I noted: In 1783 Olrox says he is 250 years old. While this might be a rounded number, this would mean he hsa been turned around the 1530s. Though given that in season 2 he speaks specifically about how the Nahua Empire fell, I would assume he was at least born around 1500, if not in the 1490s. Looking at the design I would guess he was around 30 years old when he was turned into a vampire.
While I would love to say: "As you know from history class", I am not kidding myself... History class has very probably not taught you much in terms of colonial history - it sure as hell has not taught me. So, I will rather say: "As you might remember from the well established bisexual masterwork The Road to El Dorado, it was the Spanish noble Hernan Cortes, who conquered the Aztec Empire" - though obviously I will keep refering to them by their Endonym, Nahua.
So, today let's talk about how that happened.
Let's Talk about the Nahua first
Tumblr media
Let me say one thing first: Us white folks tend to go into one of two extremes when it comes to depicting indigenous people. Either as "wild savages" or as the "noble Indian". Which is why folks really know quite little about the Nahua, because most narratives about the Nahua tend to focus either 100% on the human sacrifice practiced in the Nahua culture, or on the genocide of the Nahua. And otherwise they might know about the Cortes conquest of the Nahua - in which most are not aware that there is a lot of Nahua living in Mexico to this day. More than two and a half million, to be exact. (I do not know how often I had to explain this to people when Black Panther 2 came out.)
The Nahua are an interesting case in terms of colonialism and imperialism - because they were themselves an expanding, imperialist empire. (And mind you, I am fairly certain Olrox being a Nahua is not accidental in this regard.)
By the time America was "discovered" by Europeans, the Nahua were expanding, and waging war against the cultures surrounding their lands. They were quite aggressive against some of the other indigenous cultures. And while they did not practice cattle slavery, they absolutely took war prisoners as slaves. Yes, those could be freed eventually, and usually the status of a slave was not to be inherited, it was still slavery. They also killed a lot of people from those other cultures.
In fact this was the reason why Cortés found support among other indigenous people, when he revealed he was planning on conquering the Nahua. Specifically the Tlaxcala and Cempoala helped Cortés and the conquistadors, because they (wrongly) assumed that the Spanish were safer for them than the Nahua.
This is not to say, that the Nahua were super evil or anything. Just that even among the indigenous cultures, there also were expansionist, imperialist cultures. And that history is more complicated than "good indigenous people" and "evil colonizers". And reducing the entire thing on "indigenous people are pure and good" is also a form of racism, removing the complexity from the indigenous people.
However, this fact does not remove that Hernan Cortés definitely is up there with the top historical assholes to ever do assholery.
Hernan Cortés was horrible, actually
Tumblr media
One of the books I read on this tried to go a bit more into the worldview of the conquistadors. Basically going into why those people did those horrible things. And how basically they were so indoctrinated into the Catholic belief, that they thought that indeed if they forced their religion onto someone else on the tip of a sword, they were doing those people a favor. Because in their logic there was no question that people who did not worship the Christian God and Jesus would go to hell. And yes, that is messed up, but yeah, they got indoctrinated from birth, basically.
However, Hernan Cortés himself? He was a fucking asshole bastard, who very much was in for the money. A bit related to Castlevania Nocturne: He was related to the Spanish Governer to what later became Santa Dominque, which at this time was still Spanish controlled. And he wanted the supposed money of the New World. The gold and silver and gemstones.
So, he got some people - who for the most part really were religiously motivated - and was like: "Yeah, we gotta bring Christianity to those folks, and get some money from there. And everyone who comes with me will gets not only to go to heaven, but also a share of whatever profits we make." And then, when he arrived in America (mind you, against what he had been instructed to do - so he commited mutiny to be exact), he ordered his men to set their ships aflame, because he wanted to make sure that nobody is going to flee.
Then he made the deal with those other indigenous folks, before fighting the Nahua together with them and his own forces, who were miserable not being used to this climate. And then when he was done, he enslaved the Tlaxcala and Cempoala, while going to his own men like: "So, we got less money than expected. Everyone only will get 80 Pesos for this. Oh, by the way, you all owe me 300 Pesos for the equipment I provided to you, the food and everything. If you needed medical attention you owe me even more than that."
For reference, if I have not fully miscalculated today (it was hard to calculate, because I did not find a formular for direct calculation, so I had to go from Pesos into Real, from Real into Shilling, from Shilling into modern GBP, and from that to USD), 80 Pesos at the time are worth about 20 000 USD today, So not a whole lot for risking your life half on the other side of the world. And of course the money they supposedly owed him is then about 70 000 USD. Meanwhile he settled down in a nice pretty castle.
So yeah, Hernan Cortés, fucked everyone over. Literally EVERYONE.
Now, mind you. Because some of his people - who for the lack of money, now were stuck in the Americas - started to rise up against him, he basically calmed them by saying: "Yeah, you know what? Let enslave more indigenous people." And the fact that they were like: "I guess that is fine then" says a lot about their morals. But generally speaking... Yeah, fuck Cortés. I sure hope that asshole is somewhere deep, deep, deeeeeeeeep in hell.
And mind you, after Cortes took over what today is Mexico, it apparently got really bad. With a mixture of a famine, the slavery and the sicknesses the Spaniads brought to the place, apparently it was at times after this so bad, that there were literal dead bodies lining the streets. Some died of hunger, some of sickness, and some had been killed by the Spaniads.

And again, there are many letters. My analysis of Vastaya Zaun and Piltover. Complemented the amphibious Vastaya.
This time I want to touch on the topic of Vastaya in Piltover and Zaun. Attitude to them, types. There will also be a discussion on the type of Steb. But first things first.
And so, let's start with the species diversity of Vastaya in these cities.
1. Amphibious Vastaya.(Jericho, Banter, etc.)
2. Vastaya - bats.(Skar and others.)
3. Vastaya - mountain sheep.
4. Other types are isolated.
If we compare the number of individuals in cities, there are more in Zaun.(Except for the sheep.) Why is that? One of my versions is related to the biological features of the species. Remember where most species of bats live? Where it's humid and dark. Amphibians also love twilight and humid places. And where is it darker? In Zaun! If we recall physics, where is the humidity higher? Near the ground and in the lowlands. Which city is lower? Zaun.
This choice of accommodation is related to the peculiarity of animals. The amphibian, in order to maintain skin hydration, leads a nocturnal lifestyle, since the absence of sunlight prevents evaporation. Mice are guided by sound waves. At the same time, many of these species sleep during the day.
There are more sheep in Piltover, and isolated individuals are found in Zaun. Take a look at the screenshots for yourself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(If you remember, in the first season we were shown in Piltover Vastaya - the bat. And yes, I found another Amphibian there.)
But let's focus on Amphibians.
Tumblr media
I have already said once why I think they are amphibious Vastaya, but now I want to clearly show my guesses.(Although, to be honest, I had a thought that they were Sharks.) Also, let's touch on the attitude of Banter towards them.
Anatomical features.
A. Skin. All Amphibian Vastaya have a greenish skin tone with darker stripes on the head and neck. And there are dark spots on the skin.(Usually the shoulders and forearms.) The skin itself is smooth, without scales or any outgrowths.
B. The presence or absence of hair. Do you know what is the most important difference between Banter and its "relatives"? THE PRESENCE OF EYEBROWS! As you can see from the screenshots, the amphibian Bastards have no eyebrows at all. About the hair on the head, it's debatable. If you look closely at the screen where Isha is, one of the Bastards has a pink mohawk. I don't think it's a fin. And so, yes, most of them have no hair. Let me remind you that only terrestrial animals have hair. It is needed for thermoregulation and protection. (This is how eyebrows protect your eyes from sweat, for example. The hair on the head is protected from sunstroke and burning.Body hair protects the pores.) I would again think that the Banter stands out strongly against their background...IF I HADN'T FOUND THIS. Screenshot from the first season. That Vastaya has hair on her head!
Tumblr media
C.) Eyes. Amphibians have predominantly bright blue eyes with rounded pupils.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
d.) Physique. In addition to Jericho, the Vastaya of this species have an asthenic physique.
An asthenic is a person with a body type characterized by tall stature, thinness, a long neck, a longitudinally elongated skull, and a narrow sharply defined face.
What a pumped-up asthenic looks like.
Tumblr media
And now we remember Steb. I don't think any further explanation is necessary. We remember the amphibian girls. Also. Actually, that's why they have such a physique. It's just great underwater. A well-developed musculature (like that of the same Scar) is not needed underwater, due to the density of the water. You have a foothold for action. You need to stretch it out for swimming, so it's easier to perform maneuvers. Streamlined body and face. Underwater, the density is high, and in order to move, you need to reduce the resistance.Did I notice that the face in the profile of the Steb is more even? He doesn't have a strong protrusion of nose and chin. I'll attach a screenshot, I hope you understand what I mean.
Tumblr media
E.) And finally, I ask fins . Amphibian fins have CARTILAGINOUS fins, like our auricles or noses. That is, they are quite flexible and sensitive.Ahem…I'm sorry, I don't think that's why. Do you know what else I noticed? ONLY Steb (of all the Easties that were shown to us from the back) has a dorsal fin. I have a theory based on amphibians that the dorsal fin is an indicator of the age of the species. Until adulthood, amphibians have a dorsal fin, but later it disappears, as the individual uses water only for reproduction.
And by the way, there are SCALES under Steb's eyes. Here, I honestly don't know how to comment on it, that's why I thought he was a SHARK. Diamond-shaped scales - observed in Sharks.Actually, why is it scales? Look at the YouTube moments with him without music, only with sounds. At the moments where the scales are moving, there is a sound like scales. The fins have a more muffled sound. With his scales, he catches and reads the air currents, assessing the situation when he does not see.(Many aquatic species do not see well in the distance, so they have developed other organs of touch.)
Actually, I believe that the Steb is of the same species as the Amphibian Wastaya, but perhaps a different subspecies. No one has canceled evolution)
I still think he's a half-breed, though. At least because of the ears. His auricle is similar in size to a human's and is pressed against his head. At the same time, it is more convex in other amphibians.

Nocturne Season 2 Theory
Ever since the trailer was posted it has consumed my thoughts. I keep coming back to why Alucard so pissed off.
Tumblr media
In the original series some genuinely awful things happened to him. And yet the whites of his eyes didn't turn red. It happened to Dracula 3 times: When he found out Lisa was taken, when Carmilla questioned her remaining a human, and fighting Alucard.
So, by the show's logic, Adrian is going to experience something that gives that level of anger. And again, some awful stuff has happened to him. So, what will it be? I have several theories:
It isn't that big of a deal. This is the most disappointing story wise which is why I'm leading with it. It (relative to everything he has been through) won't be that big of a deal. I am hopeful that this theory is not true.
Someone is killed. Highly possible.
Dracula is revived. "But he was revived at the end of season 4." Yes, however, Lisa is human. This man is the most wife guy to ever wife guy. He was already down to kill himself the first time she died (after his revenge). They could have lived out her remaining years in England before killing himself. The creators could have chosen for them to go to Whitby because of its ties to the novel Dracula. However, the location also has ties to Castlevania canon. In Castlevania Bloodlines, Elizabeth Bartley travels to Whitby, England to revive Dracula. I have found another thing that may indicate that elements of bloodlines are going to be used:
Tumblr media
I don't think this is Drolta, the wings are wrong and so are the horns. This looks vaguely moth-like to me. There is a boss that is fought in Bloodlines in the palace of Versailles level called Princess of Moths.
Additionally, in the games Elizabeth Bartley turns into Medusa. And the new form for Erzsebet Báthory looks more snake-like.
Tumblr media
But why would she do it? She wants to be a queen/god so reviving Dracula would probably backfire on her. I think the reason may lie with the overarching antagonist of the games, Chaos. For those who do not know Chaos is a god of evil and the source of Dracula's powers. And, in Aria of Sorrow, looks like this:
Tumblr media
Now, where did I see something familiar to those statue figures?
Tumblr media
She could be tricked, possessed by him, or even served him from the start.
My theory is that Dracula will be revived and slain. This may be the creators' way of being able to continue the story with Dracula as an antagonist (i.e., do SotN) or do another timeskip and give Soma Cruz a season. This will anger Alucard as he realizes that people are going to attempt to bring back his father again and again and that the rest of his immortal life will be spent stopping it.
But that's just my theory. Feel free to chime in with your own thoughts.

just finished Castlevania Nocturne season 2 and BABY. WE ARE EATING GOOD :D
I'm not gonna lie. I was TERRIFIED writers were going to kill Annette in the possession episodes—BUT OUR BABY GIRL IS ALIVE, KICKING AND JOYFUL!!! DEAR GODS!!!
We had so many good things this season, which is honestly such a level up from the first.
Richette is still so fucking good, Edouard is ALIVE (I was also scared they might kill our boy) AND WITH RICHETTE, Maria got A FUCKING DRAGON, Alucard, Maria and Tera's dialogue this season was heart wrenching, Olrox and Mizrak finally got together, Juste was actually an interesting character for once, Richter quoting Olrox back...
The only thing I missed was seeing more of Edouard. We barely got to see his thoughts or the conflict Annette felt having her only family away.
And I still love the show with my entire heart. Hell, it's practically the only thing that gets me actually posting. Still, much to say, with love.

Alright, so *possible spoiler ahead*but here's my analysis of Castlevania Nocturne's Season 2 trailer
1. Richter's Fall and Rise:
So in the Trailer we're given a moment where we see Richter seemingly getting overwhelmed by Erzsebet's power and he presumably takes a fatal blow in this scene.
Tumblr media
Followed by him lying on the ground, bleeding out and at death's door.
Tumblr media
This and Julia's death are eerily similar if you see them side by side.
Tumblr media
But where Julia falls, we see Richter rise again.
Tumblr media
That is not the same Richter who got outclassed by Erzsebet. He definitely tapped into the full extent of his recently awakened magic, seemingly reaching the level of his video game counterpart.
But how did he reach this new level of power? Well that leads to the second theory.
2. Alucard Being Benched in the Battle Against Erzsebet
We see a close up of Richter's Flaming Fist for a split second, but if we look carefully, we can also see someone behind it.
Tumblr media
It's most definitely Long Blonde Hair. And there only 3 characters who have long hair and are Blonde. They're Maria, Alucard and Tera. But why do I think it's Alucard? Well here's why.
Tumblr media
Alucard straight up says that if he isn't strong enough (or if he dies) to defeated Erzsebet, he needs a Belmont to Put a Stop to it. And if we go back to the first Season 2 Teaser, we get this scene.
Tumblr media
We've Richter (No Glowing Eyes) and Alucard squaring up against Erzsebet. I'm guessing that Richter is going to be fatally wounded in the confrontation, and Alucard is going to step up and possibly give him a power boost which might cost him his strength, severly weakening him. (he's got 300 years of magical experience, so he probably learnt a lot of new tricks)
We've got Richter covering Alucard and showing Erzsebet (or Drolta) the business.
3. Dark Maria
Maria is going through the ringer this season, having a father who tried to sacrifice her, only for her mother to offer herself as one for her sake and get defiled in the process. I believe her emotional state has started to effect her powers because:
Tumblr media
That is not how she summons her creatures, normally.
In the collage below we see her usual summoning ability followed by her newest summon:
Tumblr media
We see her summoning her creatures through a portal of light. The summons so far look "friendly". Her newest dragon summon looks more menacing and "evil" as it kills a mook with impunity, its as if Maria's turbulent emotional state had brought it forth.
Either that, or Maria knows how to access and summon more violent and dangerous beasts but didn't do it as she recognised the inherent dangers of doing so, but since she has lost her mother to darkness, she's out for revenge and is no longer holding back. Resorting to more darker aspects of her power to get revenge.
We see Maria alone throughout the trailer, she's probably going to go off on her own little quest as she tries to save her mother. (The rest of the group probably told her to stick to the plan, but we know she's not the type to listen to adults, as we saw in season, when she went alone to see her father)
In the Trailer we see a brief shot of Juste and Tera squaring off and, with what appears to be an ice prison in the background;
Tumblr media
We see Maria in it. Tera and Juste are fighting over her, with Tera probably wanting Maria to join her and Erzsebet whereas Juste is trying to save her soul. Whoever the Victor of this fight be, it'll probably snap Maria out of it.
Thats about it for now. What do you think this new season might bring? Will we reach a point where we're going to get Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night Adapted?

Hello hello!
I'm back with some classical pieces for Crowley😀 Apologies if the list is a bit long - I tried to pick something from my playlists that would suit him😶 (all of these can be found on youtube!)
1. Michaela Rózsa Růžičková – II. Passacaglia "Death of Falstaff" (just vibes)
2. Arnold Schoenberg – Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4 (a personal favorite for him from this list)
3. Karl Jenkins – Concerto Grosso for Strings “Palladio” (a little basic but why not. It gives me the image of him plotting something haha)
4. Sergei Rachmaninoff – The Isle of the Dead (more like background/subtle theme music?)
5. Jean Sibelius – Lemminkäinen Suite (Four Legends from the Kalevala), Op. 22 (specifically the 2nd and 3rd movements - though I'm not entirely sure about this one)
6. Antonio Vivaldi – The Four Seasons: Violin Concerto No. 3 in F Major, “Autumn” II. Adagio molto (somewhat pensive - feels like the kind of piece that would play during a book's ending, maybe in a cliffhanger about Crowley's past...)
7. Antonín Dvořák – Slavonic Dances, Op. 72, No. 10 in E Minor (a second personal favorite. It gives the vibe of him inviting you for a dance.)
8. Johannes Brahms – Intermezzo in A Minor, Op. 116 No. 2
9. Frédéric Chopin – Nocturne in C Minor (not sure, but from nocturnes I'd choose this one)
10. Chopin – Waltz in A Minor, Op. 34 No. 2
*maybe? - Dmitri Shostakovich - String Quartet No. 8 (mostly Largo movements)
Hope it was helpful !😊 💚 Have a good day/night✨

Ahhhh I am happy!!! 😭💕💕💕 I’m so blown away to receive such a list all because of my Crowley rambles! I’m really honored- thank you so much for all the thought you put into this 🥹💕 I have a new playlist to listen to now, all the songs were lovely picks! \(//∇//)\ 💕💕💕🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛
Tumblr media
All of these were so good…I already felt the vibes from the first one alone! 😳🤣 Death of Falstaff felt so magical to listen to ✨✨✨ and Verklärte Nacht NABXHFHDI loved the whirlwind of emotions I felt from it…it’s very Crowley🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛for Lemminkäinen Suite, I liked everything- but the 3rd movement really attacked me with its intensity! 😳🙏💕 I loved thinking about Crowley in that part! Abbchchdbcbxjcjf I’m a person who cries easily, but Antonín Dvorák’s Slavonic Dances made me cry (in a good way) at the “inviting you to a dance” idea!!! \(//∇//)\ it’s too perfect!!! Haha and I loved thinking about Crowley’s potential mischief to Palladio, it was one of my favorites to listen to. Oh, I also really loved String Quarter No 8, even if you feel uncertain about it 😳 I totally agree with the Largo movements- it felt really like the “Dire Crowley” theme! But I also felt the vibe with Allegro Molto and Allegretto! 👀 Ah, maybe it’s too far off from what the original context of piece may be, but the waves of a uncertain, foreboding calm atmosphere to the aggressive madness really stood out to me! Σ੧(❛□❛✿)\
Tumblr media
。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。 ahhhh I’m just so blown away by this, thank you so much!!! Apologies for the slight delay in answering- I wanted to try drawing Sebek for you 🐊🐊🐊🐊 I hope he captures my happiness and appreciation💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Do you think in season 2 Olrox will be more active in helping the revolution or will he just be killed off in a fight and that’s that. Because Castlevanja rarely shows vampires getting happy endings and I doubt Richter or even Alucard would let him live. What are your thoughts?
OK SO IVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS A LOT HAHAHA (again all thoughts are my own, it’s also 3am rn!)
I think Olrox WILL have an active part in fighting with the revolution, especially since his partner beforehand fought with the revolutionaries in Amercia to gain freedom for people like him. What Ezerbet is doing is practically colonisation and turning a whole civilisation (humans) into slaves. I doubt Olrox is gonna let that slide. Also with the fact Ezerbet is already treating Olrox lesser than by calling him a dragon (his form is actually technically a serpent, calling him a dragon whitewashes his other form, which is on par for Ezerbet’s character, every other character is the character’s general ignorance), then forcing him to bow. Olrox is going to stop taking shit from her, but right now he’s… I don’t know how to feel put it, but afraid? I feel like it’s not the right term but he recognises he’s a “not powerful enough”. He can’t fully commit to helping Richter and Co out.
I feel in season 2, something in him is going to make him switch up and be super proactive, which I have a feeling Mizrak might be one of the catalyst. HOLD ON I know I’m a major Mizrox diehard fan but hear me out. Mizrak is very very similar to Olrox’s previous lover, which lot of people noted. (Olrox I see you have a type, you’re not so slick)
“He burned with such passion. About the world, about how the people, "the people", that's how he talked, could win this thing called freedom.”
“But he fought with them, the revolutionaries. He fought with them.”
While Mizrak at first was definitely more resistant, he came around after seeing the Abott abducting Maria, who is a revolutionary. Mizrak is also just very very stubborn/passionate to a point where it ‘burns’ others. Like his attitude get to people. Example how he literally just speaks his mind to Drolta and it gets on her nerves LOL. There’s a whole bunch of parallels between his lover and Mizrak but I’m getting sidetracked now.
I feel like Mizrak and then combination of the rest of the group will push Olrox to be more active. Olrox already gave the book to Tera which is already a nudge in the right direction.
Now onto Olrox potentially dying.
I see the Richter point, and I understand that Richter will not let it slide that Olrox killed his mother, however “there is always a choice.” Richter is going to see choosing revenge is not going to solve anything. It’ll continue a cycle of violence because then someone will come for Richter, then Maria/Annette and literally anybody else will come for the person who gets at slide at Richter, and it’s never ending.
It’s one of the big themes here is that you have a choice to be stand against the grain and fight, or be apart of the cycle. It is a core thing with practically each character in the show. Edouard chooses to go with Annette to France to find a Belmont. Maria chooses to fight and rally the revolution in Macheoul. The Abbott chooses to side with vampires. The list goes on. There is always a choice.
Also, optimistically, Castlevania in the past has given people happy endings, even to other vampires, consider Morana and Striga who are probably off in a cottage somewhere, even Dracula himself. He’s alive WITH Lisa (I miss them so dearly). Along with the message of Nocturne is that people will prevail against the colonisers/people in power. This is one of the most important messages of the show thus far. I also have doubts that a Native American character who has been through colonisation, witnessed the slaughter of his people and haunted by it will die in a show about fighting against colonisation and it’s power structure.
Thank you for the ask! All these asks have been very fun because you guys enable me to spill my internal thoughts about them and realise “oh, Myst is actually deep diving about these characters”

Some Olrox Analysis & Headcanons
Tumblr media
Have you seen this man? Now you have! 🥰
I have a lot of thoughts about Olrox Castlevania Nocturne and I'm dumping them here.
DISCLAIMER: We know so little about Olrox's past and I am but a humble stan looking at an expressionist painting and projecting my own deranged nonsense onto it. I'm fully prepared for 90% of this to get jossed in season 2, but for now I'm just letting the worms in my brain wiggle and send me beautiful visions of what could be 🥹
1. Olrox Was a Commoner and Does Not Respect Hierarchies
Tumblr media
I've seen people point to his manner of speech and dress as evidence that he must come from a privileged background, but I think he displays too much contempt for the wealthy/nobility to have been one himself. I think these things are just symbols of power he has learned to use to his advantage.
Of course, there's everyone's favorite quote: "I prefer my blood blue." But he also demonstrates virtually no respect for authority or symbols/institutions of power in general:
He refuses the escort sent by the marquis when he arrives in France and insists on staying at the inn because he likes to "keep his ear to the ground". He would rather be around 'the people' than accept anything from the wealthy.
When Drolta is reminiscing about her glory days as a priestess, there's really not any nostalgia or sentimentality when he interrupts and says "and now those temples are half-buried in dust."
For as good as he is at presenting himself as a Gentleman of Status, he cannot bring himself to even pretend to enjoy himself at Erzsebet's lil debutante ball at the chateau.
When Erzsebet insists she is a goddess, his response is "Of course you are, sweetie 🙂"
His whole speech to Mizrak in the morning-after scene is basically a deconstruction of what power means, and how it is only a perceived vs tangible thing, a temporary position vs an immutable one:
"There are petty demon princelings you can haggle with and cheat. There are demon charlatans whose faces you can laugh in, spit in. There are demons who once were gods... And those who still are."
Foucault? In MY anime adaptation of a vampire video game?? It's more likely than u think 🤔
(continued under the cut bc this got long as hell)
2. Olrox was an Adult when Cortés Arrived
Tumblr media
(I don't have a relevant screenshot for this point, so here's Olrox being pretty for no reason)
I've seen it float around some places that if we adhere to historical timelines to a 'T', it would make most sense for him to have been a child, but I'm of the opinion that it's more useful to take what the text itself gives us and fill the gaps with bits and pieces of the actual history where it's convenient. At the end of the day, this is a work of fiction/fantasy. So what does the text tell us?
He lived a long time as human and vampire
As of 1783, he'd been a vampire for approximately 250 years
Now, if we want to take this 250 figure literally, that would put the year of his turning at 1533. But I think we can give ourselves +/-15 years leeway because 250 is just the kind of rounded, even number one would use in natural speech in place of "267" or some shit like that. It's just how believable dialogue is written. So what lies in this +/-15 year window? The invasion by the Spanish, 1519-1521.
Now, he tells Mizrak: "Long ago, when I was still human, I watched men wade ashore from ships..."
I think this is another case of how important dialogue is. Because if he was a boy at the time, this line would likely have been written as "Long ago, when I was just a boy..." or something like "One of my earliest memories is of..." instead. "Still human" implies not only was he a human, but that he had been human for quite some time already. That the events he's describing fall in the stretch of time leading up to "still human" no longer being true.
tl;dr: the Spanish arrival and him becoming a vampire happened within a few years of each other, and if turned vampires stop aging, then he would have had to have been an adult at the time.
3. Olrox Became A Vampire Willingly
Tumblr media
I assume that vampirism is something that was introduced to the Mexica by the Spanish in the same way it was introduced to Haiti by the French, in Annette's case.
However, rather than vampires creating spawn left and right, the persistent lore (in the show at least) is that to be turned is to be accepted into the sort of elite in-group of vampire society. (Carmilla questioning why Lisa was never turned, the Count never turning slaves, etc). Vampires feed on humans, they don't view them as potential spawn to have in thrall or whatever.
The Spanish weren't going around giving natives The Bite, because vampirism is power. So what I think, is that Olrox recognized that power, and decided to take it for himself. Rather than being the passive 'recipient' of the 'gift' of vampirism, he pried it from some Spanish vampire's cold, undead hands. (i.e., he drank their blood)
Do I have any proof of this? No. It's just what the worms in my brain are telling me 🤷 But!!
Do I think it would be a sexy little inversion of the way Erzsebet drank a god's blood to obtain her power? Yes.
Do I think it would be thematically very appropriate for a morally grey character who seems to have a very... Interesting relationship with power (individual power vs institutional powers, the subverting of power, the weaponization of symbols of power, etc)?? Oh absolutely fuck yes!!1!
[sickos.jpg]
4. Olrox Was a Priest, But Not Like That.
Tumblr media
Priesthood in the Mexica empire was largely dominated by the nobility, whose children would be sent to the calmecec to learn how to read and write, speak the noble dialect, perform rituals, etc. But if the circumstances were right, the children of commoners could also get in!
Olrox says he's never been much of a believer, but he's highly intelligent and incredibly good at reading people. Even if he was never a man of faith, the priesthood was still a powerful institution where one could climb the ranks and earn influence over the nobility. No doubt someone as sharp and charismatic as Olrox would be able to take advantage of the opportunity to get a good education and maybe try to undermine the system from within/play a bit of political games while he was at it.
Also... Olrox's weapon of choice is the dagger. Obviously a dagger is an appropriate weapon for a character who's kind of rogue-ish, but also consider: Aztec warriors used a lot of weapons in combat: clubs, spears, arrows, axes—but an obsidian dagger? That's something that would have been used by a priest during rituals.
5. Olrox is a Bitch™ Who Knows Just What to Say to Get Under People's Skin
Tumblr media
A common myth is that the Mexica welcomed Cortés at first because they thought he was Quetzalcoatl. But this is a misreading of the way Mexica social conventions/the noble dialect worked, which was kinda ~passive aggressive in a way, such that the more loftily and overly politely you spoke with someone, the more you were actually telling them to go eat shit and die. I think Olrox's dialogue demonstrates this beautifully in the scene where he meets Erzsebet:
"Taker of Souls, Vampire Lioness, She Who Mauls, The Messiah of--" / "Yes, charmed to meet you 😒"
"Her magnificence has heard much about you." / "Flattered. For a god to have heard of me. 🥱"
"I am a goddess!" / "...Of course 🙂"
His words are receptive, respectful, docile, even... but his tone and delivery are completely the opposite. Compare this with the way he speaks with Richter and (in later interactions) Mizrak—which is more informal, open, confrontational. He's more direct with them because he actually respects them.
As far as reading and getting under people's skin with pinpoint precision, I present the following interactions:
When he catches the marquis' severed head in the catacombs, he reads him (and potentially also Drolta) like a book: "This one? He was just an opportunist, following the messiah because she's powerful. But there are those who love her [looks to Drolta]. So I'm told."
When Drolta gives him a verbal slap on the wrist for feeding on the wealthy, he says "mY Ap0LoGiEs, I didn't realize how invested you are in keeping the mortals happy." - To which Drolta goes on to grumble about how their alliance with some of the mortals disgusts her.
When Erzsebet is waxing poetic about how everyone will see her beauty and worship her, he has the balls to—without missing a beat—say "PaRd0n mEe, but you mean to do this through an alliance with a man who will never worship you? 🫢" right to her fcuuckin face mgod I love him so much (this is the point where she whips out the big guns and yells "I am a goddess!!" while threateningly flashing her orb of darkness btw. Like she did NOT like that)
6. Olrox Has an 'Eye for an Eye' View of Justice
Tumblr media
A prevalent theme in Aztec religion is the idea that like... ain't nothin' in this world for free. Sacrifices to the gods weren't symbolic gestures of devotion, but an act of paying the gods back for providing humanity with the means to survive.
The idea that everything has a price pervades the dialogue he has with Mizrak in the morning-after scene:
"What was the cost? Who pays it? Just him? Or all of you? Will you? Which demon will claim his price when all this is done?"
And it's also present in the very first scene where we are introduced to Olrox:
"You see, your mama took someone from me I loved, just as much as you loved her. So, she had to die."
What's interesting about this scene is also how... calm he is the whole time—before the fight, after the fight. Yes, he's motivated by the murder of the man he loved, but he brings zero of that passion to this confrontation. It's just an execution, something inevitable that must be done.
That he's fine with confronting a terrified Richter immediately afterwards to explain what just happened (and is completely unapologetic about it) is also telling. It suggests that Olrox views this kind of thing as just 'the way of the world'—a hard truth that Richter will be better off for having learned sooner rather than later.
I think this also helps explain why, years later, Olrox seems to treat Richter with a little more.... Familiarity than we might consider appropriate. He approaches Richter in the catacombs like he's just an old acquaintance, as though Richter should have no reason to be terrified of him. When Drolta mentions the incident later, he seems kind of lightly amused by it. Then, when he drops off the book, he's visibly/audibly frustrated that Richter starts gearing up for a fight. To Olrox, the whole "killed your mom" thing is water under the bridge, nothing personal.
7. Olrox is a Vampire of Prominence in The New World
Tumblr media
Obviously, he has to be kind of a big deal to give a Belmont a run for their money. But let's go deeper into the IMPLICATIONS!!
"In 250 years, do you know how many vampire hunters have promised to slice me in two?"
"Her magnificence has heard much about you."
"You will be her guide into America."
He's enough of a big deal that countless hunters have promised to kill him. Enough of a big deal that Erzsebet has not only heard of him, but sees him as a valuable ally who knows enough about America to guide her as she builds her empire across it.
Olrox wasn't just a powerful vampire who got entangled with the politics of colonial Massachusetts and happened to cross paths with a Belmont. He's presumably had a hand in matters across the continent. Erzsebet refers to the colonists as "American upstarts" but for her, this is a conflict between humans vs vampires. The American colonists aren't allies or even rivals to her—because they're not vampires. They're just more pesky humans to be dealt with. (Also??? 'Protestant Vampires' as a concept is just hilarious to me, I'm so sorry)
So.
What the worms in my brain are telling me is—And this is Big!! This is a Steaming Hot Take!!!
(...seriously, tin foil hat tier headcanon incoming)
Olrox has established a network of indigenous vampires who are resisting the colonial threat. He's been turning them (or at least select individuals who are into it), and thereby redistributing the power he took from the Spanish colonizers to wield against the British colonizers.
(Look I have 0.01% faith in this actually being canon or anything. I just think it would be cool as fuck.)
Anyway.
Thanks for coming 2 my Ted talk or whatever. 😘

Ello! I've got a question for you! What is the difference between Nocturnal Octonauts AU and the cannon story? Ty if you answer!
*falls down stairs as I leave followed by a bunch of chickens*
Tumblr media
*Exaggerated but also small breath in*
chimkens! Anyways, thank you, @fawncr33k for the ask!
Nocturnal Octonauts is set in time before the OctoAgents were established. And that’s it. Yeah, I literally didn’t flesh out ANYTHING for this Au. I just got hyper-fixated this year and I made up the name “Nocturnal Octonauts” because it sounded catchy. Literally my alt acc name is “not-thenauts” because, yet again, it was catchy! :D
I’m just the designer and artist, you guys on the other hand— are the storytellers! Your asks flesh out the characters and the story, and I just draw ‘em. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have a plan— what are you saying? Of course I don’t have one… what should I tell them? — but I will say that there are facts about my Au, like how Peso is a gentoo penguin and Kwazii is an Italian Pirate. Or how Peso is struggling to get out of a eating disorder and having flashbacks of when he and his friends were dying, or how Dashi was shot in the ear (when it was meant for her head) and she wears a hearing aid now. Or maybe how Kwazii’s mysterious past will come to bite him in the back. Or lastly, the Captain’s shell shock.
Maybe I did add a storyline to it. But I’ll bite since I’m excited to share you guys the second coming of this Season.
When I first created the Nocturnal Octonauts, there was no exact date of— time?— that they were currently in. But I can confirm that their nonprofit organization has been in business since the 1970s, around the actual time when America launched to the Moon. Barnacles SnowBeard (and also yes, I gave them all last names) was there to gain title of ownership in that organization or something else. Which I will name right here : IBOC : International Beacon of Ocean Conservation. His role is more like a branch, to something bigger and powerful than IBOC. I think it’s best to clarify that around 1981, Barnacles SnowBeard, Kwazii North-Wind, Peso Gonzales Garcia, Dashi Chund, Tweak Smiths, and Cala Inkling joined the association within a 12 month period. There were also new recruits added, to branch out and distribute their jobs so that they’re not toggling everything all at once. (These may be the vegimals later in the year and some new oc’s I haven’t thought of yet).
*•.
So far, I’ve just released season 2 to ya’ll. Happy ending of 2024 in 3-4 months. :)
Tumblr media
These are the designs I’ve just released to you now! Ain’t it pretty?
God bless you all!
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
