Finally got the time of day to add more details to Hau's witch. Apologies for the long wait; I'm still waiting on when I could get my laptop fixed, and I've been tinkering with some design elements so that he wouldn't look so...bland- on top of trying to figure out what the actual fuck his labyrinth should look like. :c

Note of advice: fucking revisit the source material and take some time to literally touch some grass. If the design feels empty/bland, a change of perspective is what is needed; look at the character and their surroundings/story from another angle, and you might find more elements that would fit perfectly with the design you want to create.

Hello I am back with more lore questions about your comics if u wanna answer 👀 (I looked back, but couldn't find this mentioned so sorry if I just missed it 😅)

I was curious since the comic starts after all the main plot stuff has happened: we know El is the Champ of the Alola League, but did she also do the island challenge trials like in the game or was she just traveling around with Hau while he did his? If she did do the trials did you make up a reason why the kahunas would let her, despite being well over the age limit for it? If she didn't was there some other motivation for her building her team up enough that she could beat the league when it was finished?

We're basically playing out the original story of SM with some changes!

Originally El just wanted a FUCKING VACATION and came from Hoenn after receiving a letter from her mom, to come to Alola and help her move into their newly bought appartement. But then Kukui busted through the door to welcome them and El's mom insisted on her coming with Kukui to get to know the locals while she'd continue setting up the place in the meantime. El didn't have any of her old Pokemon with her, as she heard of the strict laws of letting "invasive species" into Alola and she didn't want to deal with the paperwork, especially since she assumed she'd only stay in Alola for 2-3 weeks at best. Kukui showed her the way to Iki Town, talked about their customs, wanted to introduce her to the island Kahuna. When they couldn't find him, Kukui suggested he might be up Mahalo Trail, but stays behind in case Hala might come back from Hauoli City instead. El checks it out, she meets Lillie, the saving-Nebby-scene plays out where Tapu Koko rescues Nebby and El, El unexpectedly receives the sparkling stone from Tapu Koko that Hala makes a Z-Ring out of. Due to the incident, Hala encourages El to partake in one of Alolas oldest traditions as a way to get accustomed to Alolas culture but also to welcome her into it and keep an eye on her, with Halas and Kukuis interest being sparked by the appearance of their deity. The fact that she's way over the age of regular trial goers is not a problem, Tapu Koko must have given her that stone for a reason so Hala simply follows the will of the Tapus and is interested to see how El's journey will play out.

El feels honored being so welcomed by the Kahuna himself and is also too polite to decline partaking in the island challenge, even though she wasn't really interested in going on anther journey and building a new team of Pokemon...wasn't this supposed to be a vacation aside from helping out her mom??

But her mother is surprisingly supportive of El going on the island challenge, as she feared strangers like them from Kalos might have a hard time fitting in and making friends with the locals. She's okay with El not being able to help out setting up the house, as in her opinion "You're doing your part by learning everything you can about the region and getting to know our new neighbors."

After getting to know Hau the next day during a Festival in Iki Town, El starts to feel more like Hala specifically put them together so someone would keep an eye on Hau while the old Kahuna is unable to. Babysitting it is then. GREAT. But the innocent sweet little sunshine that is our Malasada Boy QUICKLY grows on El and she takes looking after him VERY SERIOUSLY and becomes the Mom-friend of the group. She downright enjoys looking after the shy Lillie and the joyful Hau while getting to see so many of Alolas amazing sights. She also greatly enjoys Kukuis company I might add...

Until she finds out he's taken. FUCK. GODDAMNIT. OF COURSE HE FUCKING IS AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG "No Hau I'm not depressed. No I don't act strangely hostile towards Burnet what are you talking about nooooooo pass me the Malasada Hau. EW. It's BITTER. WHY'D THEY SELL THAT. I HATE IT HERE"

Don't worry, she recovers... El really starts to get into the challenge after a while. She was never a fan of challenging Gyms and greatly enjoys the different Trials she gets to go on instead. Alola quickly becomes her favorite region for the lush beautiful nature, the incredibly kind people and the Pokemon she meets along the way. Her team is unbalanced, but that's what makes her grow more closely together with her Pokemon than any previous team she had before. Beating trainers is a challenge due to the many bug-and flying-types on her team, she has to strategize more than ever before to make it work and be able to defeat the Kahunas. Her Oricorio Sweets would become her Partner Pokemon in the end, when she survived multiple hits from Kukuis Incineroar, holding on to 1 HP multiple times because of how determined the little bird was and how much she loved her trainer, defeating Incineroar in the end.

(This was my OG Team, only Sweets and my Golisopod Titan made it into the comics in the end, her Decidueye and Vikavolt are on Mohn's Pelago, Fletchinder I'd actually still like to include at some point)

El didn't expect to stay in Alola. She didn't expect to build a new team or even join the League or becoming CHAMPION of all things... Let's be real, Kukui didn't really give her much of a choice in joining. After Hau and El finished their island challenge, it was more of a "might as well join the League I just finished building" from the Professor, since before it was built, the final challenge WOULD have taken place on Mount Lanakila anyway. But what surprised El the most, was the fact that, after winning, she was offered the position of Champion by Kukui at all. IF she would have won, she thought, surely they'd not let a stranger like her actually keep the title and defend it. But NOPE. All hail Alolas first champion El I suppose. And with this, it was clear that El had to extend her stay in the region. For an...unforseeable time.

We're besties NOW - My absolute personal faves + obligatory Tapu. A fan of any of these pokemon is a friend of mine!

You're pretty cool - Pokemon I like, but aren't all time faves.

Acceptable Answer - Maybe not pokemon I'm all too fond of, but can see the appeal. Also contains pre-evos for the upper two tiers.

Questionable Taste - You might have to explain the appeal of these to me.

Bad Taste - DUDE. DO YOU EVEN HEAR YOURSELF? Your favorite pokemon are the ones that are constantly in pain? You're sick and twisted.

Today I had the thought, as I do every time I play a game with a gardening/harvesting mechanic, that getting into gardening would be pretty neat

Unfortunately, I kinda don't trust myself to remember to care for something that doesn't actively yell at me to do so (i.e. an actual pet). And there is also the matter of: plants bring bugs and that is a huge no no

Maybe I'll put a pin in that though, there's gotta be a reason it keeps coming up in my thoughts (other than "oh neat, they added a gardening section in the Persona 3 remake")

Important!!! Does Tommy use a Low Key or Amped Toxtricity?? As a Tommy who adores LK Tox I am desperate to know. Also Pawmot is my favorite pikaclone so that made me smile :3 I think he and Darnold chatting about Dedenne is so funny silly to think about. Weird that Dedenne and Tapu Koko are the only electric fairy type mons?

He uses amped, as its nature is Jolly. (It took all my strength to give him it as I also love Low Key but amped seems more appropriate.) Pawmot is so cute and the fact it needs to be your walking buddy to even evolve feels appropriate for the quick footed Tommy ^^

I’d imagine Tommy loves to talk to Darnold about Electric type stuff when he has Dedenne out… maybe more as an excuse just to talk to Darnold generally as the two get so busy.

(And yeah! I was so confused just to see Tapu Koko and Dedenne as the only dual fairy/electric types. Like. Ig I understand Dedenne as XY was when they first released fairy types & it was the pikaclone so it was fitting. I always forget Tapu Koko is fairy type too tho. Maybe we’ll get more in the new legends game?)

Things in Alola that are normal but I'm just now learning

Because Alola is separated by islands, it was fair to expect that some mailmen would ride Pokemon to make their deliveries. If they're not careful, your package ends up on the roof or sometimes they come riding an unorthodox Pokemon. The last ubereats guy came riding on a Golurk. He took off like a rocket ship. 5/5 service though, the food was completely fine. Tip your delivery drivers.

Pokemarts are in the same buildings as Pokemon Centers and it makes it easier to buy medicinal items exclusive to Pokemon (So convenient! I wish Sinnoh did this.) Also love that there's a cafe right there as well, Tapu Cocoa is easily becoming one of my fast favorites.

The Pokemon League is different here, along with who has the most authority.

It's really common to get your food stolen by wild Pokemon to the point where restaurants have signs saying they won't refund your stolen food.

Pikachu Village is fun and cute until you have food and then get chased down by a horde of Pikachus. They rely on tourists to feed them human food.

Not a request but my friend showed me this comic of the twins getting turned into their partner Pokemon temporarily and it made me think of somethinv like that happening to other charas lol… Colress would be really fascinated at becoming a Klinklang meanwhile Larry would groan because he can’t get any work done while he’s a Staraptor…

Cyrus would probably take it even worse tho, no matter if he’s a Weavile or Gyarados or even Palkia. Spaceman is distressed with suddenly becoming a Pokemon, please help him.

Nanu gets turned into an Alolan Persian and he immediately takes a cat nap. He has achieved his ultimate form.

Colress, despite being a Klinklang, will manage to document everything he feels and thinks in this state. He needs all of these for future reference into his research. Somehow, those around him will recognise that he is that Klinklang and ponder if they should try to help him or leave him be. His partner has to remind him he cannot publish papers like this before he finally dedicates energy to switching back.

Larry may despise all the work that will pile up, but being like this is freedom... Geeta can no longer hold him hostage at work. No one recognises him. He is stuck as a bird, and he can finally have a good nap somewhere. He is not letting this opportunity pass him by. His partner is distressed but leaves him to it mostly. He deserves a break – It is sunt unfortunate that it need be like this.

Cyrus is finding his nearest commander and giving him them his signature glares until they realise it is him and freak out. All of Team Galactic will be set on fixing their beloved Master Cyrus. He is utterly hating every second of this. This must be this horrible world of spirit spiting him. Though, if he is Palkia, if he will be setting aside some time to use its power to his advantage. Scary thought. Cyrus is also mortified that a touch from his partner still is effective on him. A gentle pet or hug drives him mad still. His spirit is still too much for him.

Nanu is so unbothered. His Meowths come to cuddle up with him as he is, and it quickly becomes a purring pile. He does not know the last time he felt so at peace. All his woes are forgotten. He truly can exist as this forever and be contented. It only ends when his partner and Acerola seem to worry about where he went. He supposes he cannot leave both of them like this... And his duties as a Kahuna... Tapu Bulu would be able to tell it is still him even like this. The fun was nice while it lasted.

F/O Headcanons: Pokemon Universe Edition!

(Also, many of these are inspired from headcanons I’ve previously read, so you may recognize them. Unfortunately, most of these have been in my phone for a long time so I don’t remember some of the original sources; if you do though, please message me so I can give proper credits)

Aromatisse tend to make potpurri nests

Nessa and Raihan are cousins.

Leon does not know how to break open a safe or pick locks… Hop knows how to do both. In fact Hop has numerous skills that are also a little shady.

It’s hard keeping a Riolu at their beginning stage because they are very loving, loyal and friendly pokemon. Don’t give your kid a Riolu because you will be taking care of a Lucario.

Phantump can possess all kinds of tree stumps (fruit trees, redwoods, birch trees, etc.). This gives them some natural variation in appearance.

Kirlia will often "intern" under Gallade and Gardevoir in order to enhance their psychic abilities. Which one a Kirlia trains under is thought to influence its evolution if male.

Magikarp are popular among breeders because they have a good amount of variation and produce lots of eggs. You can get Magikarp/Gyarados in various colors and patterns because of this. This is also true among Rattata, but they’re less popular due to people considering them weak and boring.

Absol are known for being paranoid. They are extremely protective of their trainers and will try to prevent any negative thing from happening to them, even if that thing is "leaf blows into their face" or something equally mundane.

Sylveon and Umbreon get along surprisingly well because they're both stealth hunters.

One popular textile company uses a stylized Leavanny for their logo.

Modern Pokeballs create simulations for the Pokemon inside that make them feel like they're in a large environment. In addition to making the Pokeball feel extra comfortable, they also help keep the Pokemon enriched.

Eevee and their evolutions arguably have the cutest courtship rituals on the planet. They start off by showing interest with short yips and sniffing, studying each other. After that, play-fighting ensues. When that's done, the pair share tiny kisses on the cheek.

Umbreon can spray poison from their rings. They can poison themselves if they breathe it in accidentally due to not being poison-types, but the toxins are pretty mild.

Leavanny can fly, but only for very short distances and not very far off the ground.

A popular rumor states that the more powerful the Lucario the more black they have on their bodies, but there's nothing scientific to back up this claim.

There are some that believe that Fidough evolve faster when around fire-type Pokemon. This claim has yet to be scientifically backed, however.

Young Vulpix will actively try to get their trainers to "hold their paw for reassurance.

The Leavanny line becomes incredibly agitated if they don't have any materials to "sew" with, so make sure they have access to plenty of greenery.

Absol live in isolation out in the wild, only coming together to breed and take care of their pups.

Jolteon oddly prefer sparkling water. Many theorize that the breed generally prefer foods that cause ‘tingly’ sensations as it’s similar to the hum of electricity.

Legendary and guardian pokemon in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos are so rarely seen they are thought of as myths. Meanwhile the Tapu guardians in Alola have shown up in people's backyards to mess around with their sprinklers and lawn ornaments.

Luxray are used as police or medical Pokemon in Sinnoh due to their ability to see through objects and strong stature. They are good at finding and retrieving victims and people who need assistance. Along with that they can be trained to listen for heartbeats and give electricity in a way similar to an AED.

There is a superstition in Johto that if an Eevee jumps into a child's crib, the child is blessed. Often times for baby showers, the mother is gifted an Eevee egg for this very reason. When the kit hatches, it is left in the room with the baby. If the Eevee stays by the child's side, but outside the crib, the child is destined to be average and live a normal life. However, if the Eevee jumps inside the crib and sleeps next to the child, the child will be blessed with fortune, prosperity, and joy.

It's thought that having someone with a positive aura take care of Riolu eggs helps them to hatch faster.

Eevees tend to mimic the personality and habits of their trainers. If their trainer tends to be energetic, the Eevees will get a share of that energy too. If, on the other hand, the trainer tends to be more on the relaxed and a bit lazy side the Eevees will behave like that too.

Popplio are frequently used for public performances and other forms of entertainment. It works out nicely, as it serves as excellent enrichment for them

Swablu's soft, cotton-y down is a favorite filler for pillows, especially because they shed it often. Nowadays it's more common to find synthetic substitutes.

Eevee’s love to be groomed and accessorized, especially on their tail. They don't like baths though but they groom themselves well.

Hisuian Growlithe/Arcanine are still found in some volcanic regions, but they are incredibly rare and protected under law.

A group of Chingling/Chimecho are known as a gong.

While Vulpix and Ninetales have incredible fur, harming one is considered bad luck and, in some areas, sacrilegious.

Alright guys the fable smp pokemon au brainrot is back and full swing because ocie was posting about it so here's a couple of thoughts based on that (warning this post is a bit long 😅)

Ok ok, so it terms of what pokemon people would have and how they got them, here's the thoughts

I think icarus' partner pokemon would be an archeops they got from their dad. Something about the overworld foundation doing some kind of research with ancient pokemon and fable giving his kid one seems right. They'd also probably have a pom-pom style oricorio and a decidueye (something about a ghost type archer pokemon that bird shaped feels right). They'd absolutely have almost exclusively flying types. Charles is just a really high level torchic they got from and trade and cant use.

Rae would probably have an Espeon. It's just feels right for him between it being a psychic type and evolving through high friendship. Going with the idea of him studying psychic and dark types, an inkay could be good for that, but idk if it fits his vibe. I also think that a pa'u style oricorio could be fun because he could totally study its dancing and how that connect with its "psychic energy". Also it could be matching with icarus which is fun. While it's not dark or psychic, a lucario or riolu could also be fun because they literally sense auras. Like. It's their whole thing. A lucario evolves with high friendship, but it also might be a bit to strong for rae to own. Maybe a riolu that evoles later on.

Athena just gets all the fire types. And maybe some fairy and dark types. Their partner pokemon is absolutely a torracat. They deserve all the fire types. Athena could also have a baile style oricorio so all of prince trio can have matching bird guys (maybe I just like oricorio alot. But it's a fire type and it fits and its fun). Just give this guy fire pokemon. And also maybe an alcremie because baking.

On that same note, give Jamie a dachsbun. And some bear shaped pokemon.

Arisanna gets fairy pokemon, specifically I think her partner pokemon is a togekiss because I think the allays being togepi is really fun. Im not entirely sure about what other pokemon she would have tho. Maybe an azumaril because blue. I dont know how vexing would translate over to pokemon au, but vexed ari would absolutely have a tinkaton.

I think magearna comes into play somehow here, maybe Caspian would have it and fix it up. Idk I think magearna is a fun pokemon and could be a fun stand in for Raza. Similar thing with type null.

I think the first pokemon that ven would end of catching is an alolan vulpix. You cant tell me I'm wrong. Its literally a little white fox guy. It's probably the only pokemon he'll have for a while and probably won't evolve. Maybe he gets a ghost type pokemon later.

I'm starting to realize how much alolan pokemon I've given these guys. But to be fair, alola has fun pokemon and I watched the anime for it a lot after they took xy and xyz off Netflix.

I think the world sisters would probably just be besties with some legendaries/mythical. They probably wouldn't catch them, but momboo just hangs out with shaymin sometimes and ocie is homies with phione and manaphy. Or if we wanna stick with the alolan theme, tapu bulu and tapu fini.

I absolutely have way more thoughts, but this is what I'll say for now since I dont want this to be too long 😅. I want to hear more people thoughts on fable smp pokemon au's tho
