hi guys! this is my first time sharing a build, i was super inspired by the aggretsuko net cafe. No one told me how hard it is to do something with no cc! so you can add a gamer space to any build you want. i'm pretty sure the stairs will disappear and you will have to add them and it'll definitely have to be moved around to be used correctly. What kind of music do you think the members of the tulpar crew listen to?

so we do have canon tracks of music for Anya and Swansea, so that gives us a little hint to their tastes! the others I get to speculate which is fun.

you hear Anyas music when you first get to meet her and curly in medical and it's the most beautiful and haunting track of the game, the windows are plastic. first time I heard it I just sat in there next to the radio for like 5 minutes. so I think if this is on her year long playlist, she likes melodic calming sad music. I can see her listening to lots of beautiful emo songs and love songs but when she's studying, she needs zero words. calm lofi beats to study to type shit. when she's jogging she's got aggretsuko type metal shit going on to keep her heartbeat pumping fast. always daydreaming of those street interviewers asking what she's listening to.

swanseas music track is wake rock, and he's dancing and jamming and singing along to it. wrong organ also released a playlist for him and it's a lot of fun classic party rocking songs you can groove to, so I think that fits him well. big swansss. guy who loves to blast music in his garage/mechanic shop and sings along with it.

curly I think will listen to anything anyone else plays happily, even if he wasn't a fan. type of guy to just let a radio station play songs he hates, let's jimmy drag him to shows. on his own time I think he prefers silence but he's on an old country kick. I think he'd be a fan of bruce springsteen.

daisuke I think is into pop music, but I think he's kind of a music noob. he listens to music he knows he likes and hasn't spread his wings yet in his music tastes. he used to just listen to his parents music, and now he's listening to what his friends play (and now swanseas music is growing on him) he mentions he likes a song and you tell him you love that artist, x is your favorite song he's just like ohhh I never listened to that one. I just know that one song.

jimmy I think says he hates anyone else's music and i think he hates radios bc you can't control what they play. guy who is such a grouch. I think his choice of music would be indie rock or indie shit in general bc it gives him a sense of superiority to listen to things other people haven't heard of. hates on popular bands, and he doesn't own any music himself. goes to small time live venues with curly who he drags along to pay.

okay I have additional thoughts about the final episode of aggretsuko and THAT bit in particular because like there's a LOT MORE being said that that little moment than you might realize at first blush and I realized after a bit as someone who also has shitty living parents

like seriously if you have qualms about how THAT BIT felt rushed or out of line with some of retsuko's character or just wanna cry more about these two idiots please read oh my god i am unwell

MAJOR SPOILERS BEHIND THE CUT and discussion of heavy issues in the show including parental neglect/abuse

Okay, but like. Haida and Retsuko straight up rushing to get married after the truck incident is not only killing me because OMG THEY ARE ACTUALLY MARRIED OMG but we need to talk about the practical matter here and what it says about these characters:

Haida just had an attempt on his life, presumably by his family or someone hired by his family.

If Haida had died at that moment, his family would have been considered his next of kin.

They would had the right to choose how his body was handled, how his funeral was arranged, and generally how he was remembered.

Marrying Retsuko at that moment was not only a romantic gesture, it was a very practical choice to make sure that someone he loved and who loved him would be in control of his affairs if someone DID succeed in killing him.

Haida isn't kidding when he says "with you all the way" - he is taking what just happened VERY seriously and IS willing to die if it means dying with Retsuko while supporting her being her authentic self.

And Retsuko knows this, and it says just as much about her that she goes along with it, or potentially is even the one who suggests it to him.

Retsuko, as several people have pointed out while criticizing this scene, is a huge romantic with dreams of a big wedding and a dramatic proposal, but she is willing to put that aside for Haida. In that moment, it's more important to her to make sure Haida is protected from the additional damage his family could do to his legacy - that Haida legally has family that will say who he really was and make choices in his honor if the worst happens.

Getting married after hours wasn't just some emotionally charged decision - it was a deeply and importantly practical one.
