Your guide to REAL selfcare

If you go on any social media and type "selfcare", all you recieve is pretty girls doing extravegant skincare, dior makeup and all. But the problem is everyone does the same thing and things just cant work same for everyone. Also, It doesnt feels authentic rather it feels like consumerism. So, I am gonna tell what to do so you feel the best.

Knowing yourself:-

You can only do yourself a favour if you know yourself and the best way to do that is JOURNAL.

If you are new to it, then you can search journal prompt ideas on pinterest and make that a part of your routine. It helps so much.

Do shadow work. Go on pinterest and do the same thing.

Dont be ashamed of yourself, rather accept yourself and change for the better. When you'll journal then you will get to know tons of good and bad things about you but our brain loves to focus on negative things so u might get stuck on that.

Record your likes and dislikes. Which books you loved, which dramas you adore, which food makes you comfy and which movies you wasted your time on. Record these things, this is just so fun and helpful when you feel "bored" or sad.

Being Mindful:-

Most of the time, the problem is not that big but our thoughts just traps us and we feel that problem is bigger than it might so take a step back and try to not overthink about past or future.

I know this is easier said than done but meditating helps a lot with mindfulness.

When you watch a movie or drama or even ytube video then just do that. Dont scroll reddit reading the "discussion" thread of the episode or try to find instrumentals on spotify for reading books. Just do one thing at once.

Dont multitask. Just take a task and then focus on that. (This might not work for neurodivergent people.)

Do 5,4,3,2,1 grounding technique. Identify

5 things you can see 4 things you can feel 3 things you can hear 2 things you can smell 1 thing you can taste.

Cut negative people off

This is so hard because you feel mean for doing this but once you cutoff toxic people who just drags other people down and all they talk is negativity then your life become so much better.

Cut off all the negative content you watch and limit the time you spend on social media.

Do your future self a favour

This is truly the best selfcare.

Study hard cause' your future self will thank you for letting her be the top student

Learn some skills. Read those books. Watch that documentry. Do things that will make your future self proud.

Some selfcare ideas

Organizing and planning

excercise or take a walk.

Reading books.

Cleaning your room

Watching fun movies

Studying about yourself. Knowing what products suits your skin and your hair. What color brighten you and what makes you look dull. What haircut looks good on your face and what clothes flatters on your body.

Get your nails done.

Listen to your fav album while painting, baking, or gardening.

Do your hobby without feeling presurrized. No you dont need to read 50 books a year, chill out and enjoy while doing it.

Dairy writing. Its so fun to read what your day looked like on a random tuesday after 2-3 years.

Explore new things in your hometown. Maybe there is a new cafe that opened 2 weeks ago or there is a hiking trail you are not aware of? its always fun to do that.

Carlos feels lucky to have both of them, he is a single parent but doesn't think it's fair to leave his baby girl with a nanny all the time. He doesnt bring her everyday, his sister is living near by and suggested to look after her 2 times or more a week "She needs to interact with other kids close to her age." Blanca is right.

His nephew and nieces love his baby girl and it sure helps her learn new stuff

lots of common reactions i get as a mute person

all the following are peoples reaction when they assume i am deaf, the most common assumption

- flustered and lifts hands to try and sign and then lowers them when they realize they dont know ASL

- flustered and starts to sputter and talk before settling on mouthing things at me

- mouths “can you lip read”

- talks really loud at me (which wouldnt do much if i was deaf so idk)

- goes to find something to write on

- sometimes if i type on my phone in my notes when i need to say something other than yes or no people will go to literally take my phone from me to type back instead of literally anything else

- signs some of the more common sign, i get thank you a lot (especially in customer service situations, which is where most of these happen)

- if it is someone on the street saying something and they assume im deaf when i sign at them they usually just disregard me which is actually really nice

these next ones are when people dont assume im deaf, which is rarer

- talks to me normal

- talks to me like im dumb

heres a few nice incidents

- guy asked me if i was mute in spanish and i nodded and he asked if i knew spanish and i was like not really lol (live in a heavily hispanic area so i picked up on enough to understand) and he switches to english and shares about a talk he had gone to recently about mutism

- girl working at sonic assumed i was deaf and ran inside just to grab her phone to help me which i thought was really sweet so i just didnt correct her

- just today i was using the self checkout at a gas station and the guy behind the register sees me getting frustrated with the card reader and slides over a piece of receipt paper that says “tap works better” and i am like “i dont have tap” and i decide to just cancel the self checkout and move to him cause hes got good vibes and he holds the bag up and raises an eyebrow allowing me to have a choice in it which i dont often get. when i am leaving he signs “have a good day” super slow and obviously practiced a lot, and the fact that he obviously learned that just in case this happened made me really happy

- every time someone has happened to know ASL in public, its always surprising how many hearing/verbal people know ASL, almost always because they are CODA

- the enthusiastic gay man at my eye doctor who got so excited when he saw i signed even though he doesnt know it, because he thought it was so cool

- every person who goes “oh you speak ASL” and then immediately thinks about thay sentence and kind of 404 errors out as they realize you cant speak ASL

- the tiny middle aged mexican woman who has worked the store at my school the entire time ive been going there who knows me because i always go there for caffeine and snacks, and manages to always communicate with me despite a couple language barriers and will often berate me if i dont get water with my caffeine or if i dont get food, and who also wishes me happy holiday for every holiday that comes around, and was also very visibly worried when i had to rely on a cane for a few months

- my painting professor who always takes so much pressure off because hes so blunt, when i came in with a cane everyone danced around asking about it and he walks in and goes “what the hell happened to you??”, the most recent thing that made me laugh is we were talking and i was using TTS and as we are walking into the studios he goes “im gonna go talk with Ronnie, give your thumbs a break” and then we both started laughing

the worst interaction ive had

- had one of my professors numbers which happens sometimes because it makes life easier and she texted me out of the blue saying she “had a dream she was at my wedding and i spoke my vows” with heart emojis and i did not know this woman at all and i was like…what the fuck…not only is that unprofessional but also ableist

lastly shout out to my friends who translate for me purely off lip reading who dont know ASL

Your forehead grew colder as you laid your head on the desk, looking out the window. Students laughed and talked all around you but you couldn't hear anyone. Birds in the sky, students coming to school, teachers giving lectures were all irrelevant to you when he was around... Sungchan, one of the more popular students in your class sat across the room from you. You'd known him since you were little but always kept your distance, never trying to enter his bubble.

Being openly gay put a target on your back, but you were happy not to have to hide that about yourself from anyone. The beatings were something to hide from. Most of the time you'd been picked on for being "girly", or talking funny, or some would beat you up for looking gay.

But not Sungchan. He always treated you so kindly. He'd offer his jacket, leave a snack on your desk between classes, and smile at you as you passed him in the hallway.

Your heart flew anytime you saw him. But you also knew he was just being nice. Because he's a nice person. Other than being nice, he was another straight guy who put up a front to look good in front of the girls who swooned over him. Even though you couldn't stop yourself from glancing at him, you couldn't risk your heart. You'd imagined it; asking Sungchan out and seeing the disgusted look on his face as he pushed you away, probably running off to tell everyone what you'd done.

"Y/n, you'll be partnered with Sungchan for the assignment. Now that everyone's been assigned a partner, I expect it to be done and ready to be turned in by tomorrow!" Your teacher's words snapped you out of your horrible daydream. You looked around to try and catch what you'd missed. A partner assignment, some sort of book report, and you had to be partnered with him–of all people.

You tried to pack your things quickly, maybe if you rushed out the door before he caught you–

"Y/n! We're partners!" Sungchan spoke to you cheerfully as he sat in the empty seat near you.

You lowered your head and looked at him. "Yes, seems so," You mumbled.

"We were assigned about LGBTQ rights for the book report."

You rolled your eyes. Of course, you have to report on LGBTQ rights. You sighed as you packed your things into your bag, ignoring Sungchan, and headed for the door.

He followed you closely. "So did you want to meet up somewhere? Like a cafe? Or even my place?"

Your heart skipped a beat at the thought of you, alone with Sungchan at his house. But you steeled your resolve. "You shouldn't stand so close to me, they might hate you too," You said as you walked a little faster to gain some distance.

Sungchan's long legs made it too easy to keep at your heels. "Hate me too? Someone hates you, who?"

You shrugged. "Every girl who sees me talking with you, and maybe almost every boy in the school."

"Why?"

"Don't be irritating."

"I'm not trying to be, I just want to understand!" Sungchan tried to step in front of you but you sidestepped him.

You looked over your shoulder at him. "Don't. You'll ruin things for yourself, and I'll get the worst of the hate."

Sungchan grabbed the back of your bag, pulling you to him as you tried to walk off. "At least give me your number to talk about the project. Then I'll let you go." Eyes started landing on you as Sungchan held you in place. You could hear them laughing, and teasing, and the sneers on their faces were like always. You quickly and softly told Sungchan your number, with just enough time to run before he could reply.

You ran out the school doors, around the corner, and down a few blocks. Your chest heaved to catch the air it lost, but you kept walking to put more distance between you and school. You were safer that way. Eventually, you felt calm enough to stop rushing and listened to music the rest of the way home. Music made school bearable–the whole world fell silent and moved at the pace of your songs.

Around the corner from your house, you felt a sharp tug on the back of your bag–strong enough to knock you off your feet. You hit the ground and turned to see boys from your school, they were playing basketball with Sungchan...

"Stay the hell away from Sungchan, Fag!" One shouted.

The others shouted similar comments as you tried to stay low, not looking up at them. It was better not to look at them.

You tried to crawl away but felt a sharp pain in your side as a foot collided with your side, making you crumple to the ground. The air knocked out of you as you tried not to spit up on the sidewalk.

"You think you can leave!? Gonna cry to Sungchan? Wait, what if he's turned Sungchan gay!?"

Your skin ran cold. You knew people who hated you for you, but you hated it when people hated others for who you were.

"He's not gay, he was just helping me," You groaned.

"Defending your boyfriend now? Sungchan must be gay like you–he'll even try to fuck us!" Another blow to your stomach as the boys started to crowd around you, dragging you into an alley. You were so close to home, to safety. But you could see your street getting smaller as they pulled you away, without the strength to fight back.

"W-What do we do now?" The boys chatted with each other about what to do with you now that they had you. You'd been tied up tightly with shoelaces and leaned against a wall while they huddled in a circle. "Well... We could–" The boys got quieter as they listened to the idea. Then their attention turned to you. Fear climbed up like a spider as two boys tried pulling off your pants.

"What the fuck!? Don't touch me!" You kicked at them but others joined in to restrain you.

Tears streamed down your face in fear and embarrassment as your pants were cast aside, leaving you in your underwear. The boys hesitated as they looked around, down the alley, and back at you. Your eyes were full of hate as you waited for their next move. One turned on their camera and started filming as two others slid down their pants. "Just open your mouth, gay boy. You've gone through this before, haven't you? If you want to be a girl so bad, then we'll make you one."

You squirmed and cried, your eyes closed. You were helpless as these guys were about to have their way with you, recording every second. You couldn't do anything but cry as your heart pleaded for someone. Anyone. Help!

"Hey! What the fuck are you doing to him!?"

Your eyes shot open to see Sungchan running down the alley at full speed. He jumped and kicked the closest guy, knocking him on the ground, and started punching his way to you. It wasn't long before they gave up and ran away, leaving you behind.

Sungchan chased the group a bit before turning back to you. He threw his jacket over your legs. "Are you okay? You hurt?"

You nod. "I'm fine," Your voice was weak and shaky.

Sungchan untied you and helped you to your feet. You couldn't help but feel mortified as you were half-naked in front of him, but you were grateful he saved you when he did.

"Thank you," You said softly. You couldn't bring yourself to look at him, it was too embarrassing, but you could feel his eyes scanning you.

"Is your house nearby? Or should we go to my house, it's close. I can run and get you pants."

You shook your head, "My house is around the corner."

Sungchan started unbuttoning his pants, making you panic and turn around. "What are you doing!?" You shouted.

"You can't walk around without pants."

"W-What about you!?"

"You can give them back when we get to your place."

You felt Sungchan's pants fall onto your shoulder, still warm from their owner. You went to uncover yourself but stopped. "Can you look away please?"

"Right!" Sungchan turned around as he waited for you to change.

Once you slipped on his pants, which were much larger than you expected and sagged around your waist, you hit his arm. "Let's go, you perv."

"How am I a perv!?"

You didn't respond as you led him to your house, cautious of any neighbors who may be watching. Thankfully your parents were out of town, so no one could've been home to see you bringing in a handsome half-naked man with you. Inside, you took Sungchan to your bedroom and let him sit on your bed as you changed into other clothes. You also gave him his pants back.

"Thank you again, for saving me," You say as you sit on the bed.

"It's not a problem. You needed help and my body just moved." Sungchan made a gesture like he was being pulled forward.

"You're not my neighbor, or even in my neighborhood, so how did I get so lucky to have you save me?"

Sungchan's face turned pinkish. "Well, we have the project and we needed to finish it. I asked if anyone knew where you lived and the teacher gave it to me," Sungchan played with his shirt while explaining.

"That's very illegal for the teacher to do. But since it saved me, I'll skip on suing. And you could've just called me!"

"I-I don't know! I just wanted to see you again and I felt like you would've told me where you lived if I'd asked."

Your heart skipped. Sungchan wanted to see you.

"And I'll make sure those guys never bother you again," Sungchan's expression darkened at the thought of the boys who'd jumped you. "I just don't understand why they'd do it."

You laughed wryly, "They thought I turned you gay and that you were my boyfriend. Saying we're both gay and that we'd turn all the other boys gay..."

"Why would they–"

"It doesn't matter. You don't see me like that, so I don't have a chance." You cut him off sharply, the pain in your chest was too much. Having to say out loud that you had no chance with Sungchan made your heart crumble.

"And if you did have a chance?" Sungchan scooted closer to you.

"What?"

"If you had a chance to ask me out. Would you?"

You blushed. "I-I don't know. Maybe!"

Sungchan leaned closer toward you. "Would I have a chance if I asked you out?"

Your heart raced, your palms sweaty, and your eyes could only see Sungchan's sweet face. "Um, maybe?"

"I'll try something, and if either of us don't like it then we can stop," Sungchan suggested, looking in your eyes for confirmation. You nodded slowly, allowing Sungchan to initiate a kiss. First a peck, then moving into a full-blown kiss. His hand found your waist as he pulled you closer to him, making you yelp which he used as an opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. Your hands gripped his shoulders as his tongue explored you, meeting your tongue, and earning excited twitches from you. When you separated, a single strand of spit connected you before it broke. "How do you feel?" Sungchan asked.

You nodded. "I liked it, a lot."

"Then, can we kiss more often? As boyfriends?"

You jumped to your feet on instinct. "But you're straight!"

He shrugged, "Bisexual if you need an argument."

"So you mean?"

Sungchan laughed. "I've been into you since we were kids. I never knew it was something more than feeling strongly about a friend. When we hit middle school, I realized I had a crush on you but you started distancing yourself from me. And by the time we hit high school, you treated me almost like a stranger... I thought I'd done something wrong."

"I was only avoiding you because I knew I was gay and had a crush on you!"

Sungchan kissed your lips. "Then we both learned something." You giggled as Sungchan attacked you with kisses, tackling you into the bed as he cuddled you. "I think I've been in love with you for a while, and being this close to you is making my body crazy..."

You tensed. "You mean like..." Sungchan nodded, his breathing heavy as his eyes focused on your lips. "We should take things a little slower, right?" You pushed Sungchan off you, as he whined.

The next day after Sungchan had gone home, your phone blew up with texts. He was constantly checking in with you, making sure you were alright. He even sent a text of the group of boys, kneeling in the principal's office as a punishment while they got yelled at.

IK we hear a lot of Darry and Dallas probably clashing the most within the hang, but I could also see Darry clashing a lot with Two-Bit. Specifically I could see Darry unintentionally taking out some of his frustration on Two-Bit. Two-Bit like soda is emotionally intelligent, except as we see in the book he’s mostly an observer. He can’t comfort as well as Soda can or soothe someone’s worries. I just think there’s a lot of angst potential there.

NOT that Darry is bad by any means!! But I could see that Two-Bit’s calm demeanor to stressful situations would in fact bug Darrel to a certain degree. I think what would bug him more is Two-Bit just accepting the anger he throws at him. Not cause Two-Bit can’t fight back but rather cause he KNOWS Darrell needs to get it out of his system.

•atp sometimes thats where darry snaps bc he doesnt WANT to relax, he wants to do what he has to do first, darry never gives himself time to calm down, he has a pretty big “work first, play hard” ethic hes hard on himself for and thats what two bit is “attacking”

•darry does feel super bad when hes done being angry though, he truly doesnt WANT to snap at anyone, he just does at times, and its not like he says anything like, OUTRAGEOUSLY mean btw, hes not that kind of angry where he says something deeply personal unless u rlly pushed him there, more so venting about his own issues

•he still apologizes profusely and its just,,,,kinda sad to watch honestly, darry has his head in his hand (or hands) and looks like hes just crawling into himself, and its like, two bit CANT b mad at him

•two bit rlly doesnt take it personally, doesnt hurt his feelings either, of course hes a bit taken back, but he doesnt exactly argue back, he lets darry get it out of his system and THEN says what he wants to say (hes not called two bit for no reason he WILL add in his 2 cents) which is usually what darry HAS to hear

•two bit tends to give a heads up to anyone whos about to step in the house when darrys upset, mostly to guys space, but also bc he knows the others might take it to heart and fight back and just worsen the situation

•also!!!! if two hears pony talk badly about darry after an argument, he scolds pony for it, ofc he also sympathizes w pony, but theres this thing in the gang where sometimes they rub into darry for his anger bc theyre also angry at him and two bits the one to try and defend him, cause if he doesnt, who will (this excludes soda btw, two bit and soda talk about darry sometimes)

•nobody rlly, sees their outburst btw, the most ppl ever see is like, two and darry talking at the kitchen at most, and two bits just not his “up eat all jokester” self he looks genuine, but when they notice ur there everything goes “back to normal”

i have an idea for a heart-wrenching iwaoi historic au in which they are growing up together in some village forgotten by the world until the war begins and oikawa doesn't have to go but his passion and pride pushes him to join the army, when iwaizumi stays home and provides for his family because he can't simply leave them to fend for their own (also oikawa makes him promise to take care of his mother and sister othewise iwaizumi probably would go with him)

tooru climbes high in ranks because he is passionate and determined and suprisingly good at reading the enemies strategy and iwaizumi hears about it in bits and pieces through very few, very short letters he receives in the span of those months he is gone;

when the letters stop coming iwaizumi doesnt really worry at first, because from the ones he received previously he concluded that the work of oikawas unit is coming to an end and maybe, just maybe tooru is already coming home and wanted to suprise them with his sudden appearance (after all he always had a flair for the dramatics) but the waiting period begins to stretch excruciatingly long and even though hajime doesn't want burden his and oikawas family with worry he can't help but feel this gut wrenching fear whenever he thinks about tooru

when his pendant comes back to them, carried by a man in the same uniform they probably dressed tooru in, hajime isn't really suprised; he felt it coming for a long time, even though he never admitted it to himself

maybe that's why he doesn't break down in tears like tooru's mother did when she saw the man, maybe the numbness he felt was caused by the fact that he expected to see the man more, than he expected to hear toorus irritating voice making fun of him ever again

maybe that's why he doesn't cry over tooru, not when their families mourn him, not when he digs him a grave in which he will never lie in, not when he rereads the letters tooru send him and he read, not knowing that those would be the last words he ever heard from him

or maybe he did not really mourn him because he could not for his life believe that he would never feel his best friends warm body pressing into his, when he insisted that he was too tired too walk on his own and "iwa-chan how dare you push a man in need away", that he would never see those brown eyes light up when they would speak about something tooru was currently fixated on

maybe that's why despite their families begging for him to not go, he still decided to join the man, the bearer of tragic news, who after a few days rest was to go back to the army stationed nearby

maybe he was convinced, that by joining him, he will quickly find tooru and drag him back to their families, before any harm comes to him or to them

and maybe that's why hajime welcomed his own death with relief rather than fear, because he knew tooru would wait for him for a thousand years if he had to, just like hajime would do for him

ill start with james. the first song (because i cannot just pick one) would have to be 'peace' by taylor swift. hes a bundle of energy, and he tends to act before he thinks (see: wand left on couch.) "[danger's] just around the corner darling, cause it lives in me. no i could never give you peace." but also hes a lover, and he would do anything for the people he cares for. "im a fire and ill keep your brittle heart warm if your cascade ocean wave blues come" etc. theres still that little bit of uncertainty in him though; "would it be enough if i could never give you peace?" its him.

similarly, though, i think of him when i hear 'epiphany' from the same album. idk if its because i associate it with the first wizarding war and therefore james, but i just- its him. it just is.

i also hc james to have some level of mental health struggles, whether it be anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder. so, in my head, both 'talk too much' (specifically the ramble/bridge) and 'gemini moon' by reneé rapp scream james potter. i think 'gemini moon' would be something he'd try to hide relating to, because in his head hes supposed to be perfect, hes supposed to be a rock for everyone else. hes the golden boy of gryffindor tower, yknow. these also feel more like they relate to the modern/muggle aus i like to read though

on a similar note: 'mirrorball' by taylor swift. hes always putting on this show to make people smile, to help people, to make them laugh. he adapts to be what people need, but when he finally snaps, when everything just becomes too much, he doesnt just break - he shatters. "i know they said the end is near but im still on my tallest tiptoes" this could also relate to the war; he knows voldemort is targeting him, lily, and harry, but hes still trying to keep positive. "they called off the circus, burned the disco down" all the joy from hogwarts is gone because of the war but "im still trying everything to get you laughing at me" he wants to keep people smiling. he wants people to have hope.

also, although im trying to avoid ships, major shoutout to pretty much every jeremy shada song to exist, because theyre so james potter-coded regarding his love life and the way he loves people

alright, imma move onto sirius before i ramble too far. this first song ties a little into james though - 'seven' by taylor swift. specifically, james talking to sirius about his family and inviting him to live with the potters instead. have a listen and youll agree

still on his relationship with his family, sirius is definitely a 'family line' by conan gray sort of guy. he would scream it at the top of his lungs.

furthermore, sticking w conan gray, i love 'found heaven' as a sirius song, too. after spending so much of his life being told all the things wrong with him, only to discover his sexuality - yet another thing i think he'd have issues accepting about himself - he eventually does find that acceptance. "youll never get your mama's wedding ring. father always said you ruined everything. but you prayed, begged and prayed, heart unchanged" "dont be scared little child, you're no demon" "your heart is breaking as you leave that door. you never meant to start this holy war. but youre trapped, pack your bags, dont look back" just all of it. its him.

on a more positive note, though, i see 'boys & girls' by conan gray as his song too. again, im trying to keep away from talking about specific ships and focus on the individuals, but this works even more if you ship wolfstar. imagine remus singing this about sirius. as much as we all like to say remus is a cassanova of gryffindor, hes a lanky nerd covered in scars. he isnt typically/stereotypically "attractive", not like sirius. sirius, who is saught after by many, but never dares to look at his friend like that, because how could he? theyre friends, and thats all. right?

that leads nicely into remus. i dont have as many options to hand for remus as james and sirius, so ill just go through all that i can remember off the top of my head. most obviously: 'the view between villages' by noah kahan. i feel like i dont even need to explain this one. its all him. you could look at it from the beginning of poa when he returns to hogwarts, or you could look at it from when he goes back to hogwarts to fight in the final battle to ultimately die. either way, its him.

god okay i know i said i want to avoid ships but i just have to throw this in here. 'in the kitchen' by reneé rapp is so remus after he loses sirius, either to azkaban or the veil. give it a listen and tell me im wrong.

its a bit of a sad one, but 'the next right thing' from frozen 2 is kinda giving me remus vibes. like, especially after the first war, all his friends are dead, or traitors. and now dumblefuck is asking him to come back to hogwarts to teach his dead friends' son? what else was he to do but drag himself out of his misery and put harry first? he didnt have his friends left to fight for anymore, but he could still make a difference for harry.

'memories' by conan gray is also giving remus. i could see it being about sirius maybe coming to him after he escapes azkaban or after the prank, but i actually see it more as his thoughts after dumblefuck visits him to get him to teach at hogwarts. obv not every line of the song, but the main idea of it. "i wish that you would stay in my memories, but you show up today just to ruin things. i wanna put you in the past cause im traumatised, but youre not letting me do that"

that was... a much smaller amount of songs for remus than i thought i had. does anyone have any suggestions?

for peter, i had to do a little more thinking, honestly. 'i almost do' by taylor swift makes me think of him bc like, do you ever think peter considered trying to reach out to remus at all during those 12 years between james' death and sirius' escape from azkaban? i know it probably would not have gone well for him if he had but like... ive thought about it.

similarly, 'miss you' by conan gray. does peter have regrets about what he did? maybe. is he allowed to miss his friends after what he did? maybe. so much of this song does feel like what peter might have been thinking following the betrayal. "is it wrong to now decide i miss you?" yeah, maybe buddy.

but then maybe he wouldnt have, yknow. so my next thought was 'crossing the line' from tangled the series. its so incredibly peter & james coded (with james as rapunzel)

on a more fanon side of things, i think my answer would be 'bruises' by reneé rapp. if we're going with the whole thing where sirius especially, but the other marauders as a whole treat peter as lesser (i dont think thats canon, and honestly im not a huge fan of the hc either, but its still something i now associate w peter) then 'bruises' really captures how he'd feel. "all my friends make sweet fun of me...sure im down to be the joke, metaphorically though you could flip me inside out and it would show black purple and green" its his song if you hc this

finally, i put forward 'run' by taylor swift and ed sheeran. i want to think that, before turning to voldemort, peter tried to convince his loved ones to just escape the war. leave it for someone else to fight and die in. he wanted to survive, and he wanted his friends to survive too, if he could. ultimately, his friends wanted to stay. james and sirius had been wanting to join the order more than anything after they graduated, and remus felt he owed a debt, if nothing else. they werent going to leave or sacrifice their moral compass to save themselves. so peter ran, alone.

☁️ ... this is my last ask for the day i SWEAR. how about dr kry with a sleep deprived darling / a darling who's always sleep deprived. if that doesnt work because of the setting (cause yknow in canon the darling's always napping lol), then how about a darling who has trouble sleeping. OR BOTH if you want to and can make it work. sorry i really wanna request this one cause the only time i can have a good sleep nowadays is when the weekend hits 🥲 i just want a bit of dr kry fluff 😭

He will sit with you for as long as you need, putting your needs before his. He can see that you're struggling to fall asleep. He can see the hollow half moons under your eyes and his heart will break.

"I can't watch this anymore. I'm going to go get you some sleeping pills, okay? And if they won't work I'll go get anaesthesia. Hopefully that'll be able to make you relax."

You'll get your sleeping pills and then rest back against the pillow. Dr Kry will sit with you until morning hours if needed. He'll hold your hand, play with your fingers, hug you if you want one and read for you.

"Are you feeling a little sleepy now, Y/N? Yeah? Are the pills working? Amazing. Just relax and let yourself fall asleep. I'll be here with you until you fall asleep and then I'll meet you in the morning, okay? We'll eat breakfast together, I promise."

Dr kry with s/o who suffers from migraine. Like bright lights aren’t good, eats a lot of pain killers and sleeps a lot bc of it

One of the main things with Dr Kry is that he always forces you to sleep (as seen in his headcanon), but that's because of the poisoned air he puts you in. If the lights we're bothering you as well, he'll turn them down and use small, warm nightlights to keep the room somewhat lit up. He'll try to control your intake of pain killers since he's afraid that you'll take too many, but he'll make sure that you won't be in pain one way or another.

"What? Too bright? Still? But, honey, all of the lights are already off. It's only this little light that's still on ... alright, I'll turn it off. If this continues I might have to develop nightray vision. Why don't you take a nap, Y/N? It'll make you feel better."

How would Dr Kry react to a darling who's very interested in his love life and like to tease him ? Always asking question about his possible partner, what he likes, ect ? Just to say " I don't understand why you're still single, you're so easy to love! Besides you're also very quiet, I know a lot of girls who liked the quiet bo- Wait !! Let me set you up, there's a very nice nurse I think her name is ... Charlotte? You know, the short brunette on the first floor ? She seems very kind or maybe you're gay ?? Well, there's that one dude at the cafeteria, I kinda had a crush on him at the beginning but I thinks he likes men...you could still give it a try if you want 🙂"

He'd let you have a go at it at first, hoping that it'd only be a one time thing ... but you continue to tease him every. single. day. He'll try his best to avoid the subject all together, but in the end would lose it. He'd grab your shoulders and pin you up against the wall in an attempt to make you silent.

"Shut up! Just shut up, alright?! I don't want to hear it!"

He'd noticed that he'd scared you and let your shoulders go. Backing away a step while running a hand through his hair, he'd think on how to save this situation. You'd apologize for making him mad which would only cause him to sigh heavily.

"You're so stupid, Y/N. Why can't you see that I want you? My fingers ache at the need of touching you sometimes and my heart breaks at the thought of you imagining me with someone else! I don't want anyone else. I think I'm going insane! I don't want to hear you talk about other people when you're with me. I just want you to focus on me and me only. Can you do that for me?"

He'd notice how wide your eyes were and how you started pulling your arms closer to your torso. With a hiss, he'd bring you into his arms before you had the chance to run away.

"I love you", he'd whisper.

im going to be sending in two asks bc i am mentally ill. heres the first one: how would dr kry deal with a patient who is chronically ill and frequently needs surgeries? this may or may not be self indulgent because i may or may not have just gotten surgery yesterday on my silly goofy eyeball (im fine)

He'll be right by your side. He'll take care of you and give you everything you need. When you're afraid, he'll kiss your hand and give you a reassuring smile.

"I know you're scared ... I wish I could do something to help you. I wish I could steal you away from here ... but you need these operations to survive. I'm so sorry, Y/N. What can I do to help you? Do you want something to eat? Do you want me to read for you? Yeah? Absolutely, anything for you."

second ask: i literally love dr kry so hear me out 💀 how about dr kry with a patient whos just being a total cranky BRAT to him. acting up, mouthing off, just being a little twerp. (its me. im also a little twerp)

Do you want to die? He controls your body. If you're being a little brat, he'll make sure your air is even more polluted and you 'accidentally' hurt yourself.

"Your arms are broken? Oh dear, how did that happen? Well ... i guess your silly behaviour came to bite you in the butt. Well, now you have to be a little nicer to me if you want me to care for you, okay? I don't want to help an ungrateful brat. Good, let's start over."

What would Dr. Kry do if darling tried to take a lot of pills to overdose and feel independent without him?

I just discovered your blog and i'm in love with Dr Kry 😭what would happen if reader was sensitive to loud sounds??

He'd sound proof the room and give you ear plugs. When he's talking to you, he'll use a soft spoken voice and if he gets angry, he'll try his best to keep his composure so he won't yell at you. If there were loud bangings or sounds he can't control, he'll hide with you in the bathroom where the sounds aren't as loud. You'll have your ear plugs and his hands over your ears.

"It's alright, little one, just breathe. The noises will end soon. When they end, we'll go back out into the room and we'll read a little, okay? I'll try to find out who made these awful sounds and make sure they won't do it again."

what if we actually end up living with Dr Kry??

This man would honestly take such good care of you. You'll share a big bed, have many plants and he'd show a more humane side that he can't show in the hospital. He'll smile more, love more, talk more. The constant stress of being in the hospital and having people all around who could take you away from him takes a lot of energy that he wants to project on you.

"I've baked bread! I've wanted to try for a while. How about you come with me downstairs and get a slice with some marmalade? I know your legs are weak, I'll carry you down if you'd like."

He'd make sure you were scheduled together so he can spend his work shifts with you. People in the hospital would think that you're a couple. Exactly as he wants. He'll buy you lunch and stay close to you on break times. If anyone asks him if you're a couple, he'll answer with something that indicates that you are.

"Y/N, do you want to go take a bit of fresh air? You've been working so well these last hours, you're well deserved of a break. Come here, let's go take a few breaths and a bit of coffee before the night shift."

i wanted to talk about my relationship with my sexual/romantic orientation (aspec), so i guess im sharing my expierence (cw i talk a lot about sex)

so im asexual, i dont think i feel sexual attraction at all. however i was looking into microlabels (i prefer only using the label asexual but i wanted to know if there was a microlabel that fitted my expierence better, even if i didnt planned on using them), i did not find one that fit me. i dont want to have sex. however i masturbate (when i ovulate/have a lot of pain, i have chronic pain and masturbation is a natural pain reliever, i actually found about that in tumblr from another asexual with chronic pain and it help me a lot when meds werent working), so i was thinking maybe i fit the aegosexual label, but from what i hear, in the "fantasies" you dont think about yourself doing it. i do picture myself doing it but not bc i want to? like, i picture myself having sex but in the """fantasy""" i dont enjoy said sex but i do it anyway. is that weird? i think its because i know i will never enjoy sex if i have it and i cant think of other people having sex bc it feels weird? intrusive? sexualizing them? day 6 already!! we're in the final stretch!!!!

for today, i went with a comfort unasked for yet welcomed ! and a wall of snow keeps us hidden kinda

this one is definitely more elaborate than my previous work ... bc this one's a fantasy au!! ive had this vivid image of paper cut and joe being a mage and a blacksmith respectively and them being kinda neighbors in a village. but it kinda extended to other characters too so you may see them here. also i used my actual name here bc paper cut doesnt sound like it'd fit in a fantasy setting 😭 and also his personality here is kinda inspired by a character named beryl from a game called sword of convallaria! here hes a really skilled mage whos kinda cocky but ultimately still a socially awkward dude who doesnt go out much. lol

if i have time, i'll expand on this au a little more! but for now, aside from what i said above, this au has sonetto as the "main character" or the hero who keeps coming back to the village from dungeon raiding (bc i cant see vertin doing it despite her technically being the protag in re99). kinda like dungeon meshi (<- read like 5 chapters of dunmeshi)

i love roguelikes so the idea of the hero reviving after dying in an always shuffling and changing dungeon appeals to me. so that happens to sonetto in this au

SORRY FOR THE WORD VOMIT i just enjoyed writing this a lot. anyways

Safar hates to admit it but he is very much snowed in.

Usually he wouldn’t mind the blizzard causing it - hell, sometimes he’d celebrate - but he needed to go out to get some potions from Sotheby across the village. It’s just misfortune after misfortune for him this winter season.

He can only mumble complaints under his breath as he instructs various (previously) inanimate objects to tidy up the place. It’s a rare occasion as he can be… quite the disorganized individual, despite having the convenience of magic literally at his fingertips. Though the process itself isn’t as magical, ironically enough.

Everything comes to a stop when he hears a banging on the door. His complaints double as he stomps over to the door. He quickly casts a translation spell, just to throw a warning to whatever monster threatens to break into his house.

“Get the hell out, you freaks! Do not piss me off!”

Instead of growling and howling, he is instead met with some coughs. Very humane coughs (or at least, humanoid). His temper subsides slightly at the possibility that annoying winter monsters finally got the hint after many, many years.

“I have no idea what you’re saying but it’s me, Joe! Y’know, the blacksmith next door?”

The big, tough guy next door? The sole source of all the sound pollution that made Safar soundproof his walls? Well, at least it’s a human. They’re supposed to be good at reasoning with other humans. At least, the mage hopes so.

Even then, it’s strange that the blacksmith is out there during a literal blizzard. Like it or not, the mage has to let the tough guy in, lest he dies out there. The snow-drenched blacksmith stumbles in, which helps with the mage’s attempt to open and close that front door as quickly as humanly possible.

“What the hell are you doing here?”

The host spouts the moment he slams the front door. It’s a genuine question asked sort of out of concern but the mage has to admit he didn’t want any kind of visitor, monster or not. Thankfully, his little inanimate servants managed to clean up the place in time for the unexpected visitor.

“I was on my way home but then the snow got super heavy and well. Your place is nearer and my balls are freezing.”

Safar can’t argue with that. He can interrogate where he was from once they settle down. And so the mage surrenders to his fate with a sigh, making his way towards his shelves flowing with ingredients of many varieties. Making the blacksmith feel right at home will be a piece of cake.

“I do not want to hear about your freezing balls. Sit down over there, I’ll make some tea. Or are you more of a coffee guy?”

Out of habit, the mage starts throwing out everything he’s not looking for. Joe is oblivious to this despite all the noise he’s making and simply enjoys himself on the very comfortable couch, right beside a very cozy fire.

“I’m fine with anything.”

The blacksmith begins to lay down on the couch. Safar knows well that Joe has the luxury of being a guest and it’s common courtesy for him to treat the guest well but he can’t help but think for someone so big and tough-looking, he sure as hell seems content to not put those muscles to use.

Well, whatever! He’s a mage for Pete’s sake! He has the convenience of using supernatural powers to aid him in his daily activities! And moving things around with magic is child’s play for the best mage in this village!

He proves this point by snapping his fingers, which drops a whole tea set (with cookies on the side) on the coffee table in front of Joe. The guest jumps from the sudden movement, though the self-pouring kettle remains unfazed.

“And anything you will get.”

The host smugly proclaims as he struts towards his guest. With another snap of his fingers, lanterns illuminate the living room. He looks around the room, pondering if there’s anything else that needs some finger-snapping. Ultimately, his gaze lands on the fireplace. He sneaks a glance at Joe.

“Is the fire warm enough?”

Increasing the heat of the fireplace requires more effort than just finger-snapping but the extent of it just consists of the inconvenience of having to grab an extra ingredient from his stuffed shelves. Yet Joe only smiles at the host, as warm as the flames that lick the smooth stone.

“Yeah. The perfect temperature actually.”

Safar’s smug smile turns into a genuine one. He has to admit – the guy’s energy is contagious. Having his mood lifted up slightly prompts him to join his guest near the fireplace as he quite literally lifts himself up off the floor, hovering in midair in a cross-legged sitting position. Joe pretends to not be impressed but the mage can tell he’s stealing glances.

It’s easy for the mage to forget certain tricks up his robe’s sleeves are unthinkable for other people, especially for a regular human such as Joe. Some think the mage can be a little too boastful for his own good but Joe isn’t part of that crowd - he deserves to be boastful. He’s the most skilled mage in the village! That much can be seen with the huge certificate that’s pinned up right above the fireplace. The words “BEST MAGE IN CHARLESTON VILLAGE” in the mayor’s crude handwriting swell with pride.

“...Reminds me of my forge back home.”

The blacksmith comments on the warmth of the fireplace, but it also alludes to the fact that he has a certificate in his workshop too - except it says “BEST (AND ONLY) BLACKSMITH IN CHARLESTON VILLAGE”. He always chooses to ignore the words in the parentheses.

Joe lets his eyes wander around the small establishment. It’s a simple little house, the only doors there being the front door and the bathroom door. Everything else is open-ended and connected, with only some half-walls partitioning specific rooms. The place is both tidy and messy. He doesn’t even have to try to feel right at home. Maybe he already is.

…Or not, because Safar is basically a stranger to him.

“Oh yeah, where were you going before the storm hit anyway? I thought you didn't go out of your smithy?”

Right when he thought to start up a conversation, the mage had that handled. Even the blacksmith himself forgot he was out and about still when the storm hit. He racks his brain at the interrogation.

“Sonetto just finished another dungeon run and managed to bring back some good metals for me to mess with and uh… I got excited.”

Safar can never understand Sonetto’s insistence on making her way down that cursed dungeon. But he supposes that strong sense of justice is the reason why she’s The Hero. Bestowed with powers of reincarnation, she’s basically immortal. He can’t help but feel a bit bad for her though.

He never understood why so many yearn for eternal life. Initially he believed that those people merely have an innate desire to be remembered forever which then translates into desire for immortality. Yet he doubts Sonetto is one of these people, despite being The Hero. She’s… really just a good person at heart.

The mage tries to illustrate the image of both Sonetto and Joe in the same room. Hm. A little too full of sunshine for his liking. But no doubt it’d be a delightful room to be in all the same.

“Probably should’ve stayed put then, dude. There’s a reason why people say patience is a virtue.”

The mage comments as a cup of tea makes its way towards him. He downs all of it in one gulp.

“Don’t remind me. I’m impatient as hell.”

The host has to give it to him, he is self-aware at the very least. Safar laughs at his response, Joe pouting at the former’s reaction. The mage then offers a sincere smile. “I get it. Why do you think I use magic for everything?”

He has to admit it too. The mage can be a very prideful person in front of others but behind that closed door, he yearns for a lazy life just as any tired person does.

“Lucky. All I got are these awesome muscles.”

Joe flexes his left arm, bicep bulging boastfully. The mage finds himself entranced by the display. It’s a reminder of his preferences for people to stare at. His gaze is a little too shameless.

“Like what you see, don’tcha?”

Blood rushes to Safar’s face almost immediately at his comment. He would respond but he knows the words that’d leave his lips will stutter. So instead he turns towards the fireplace, attempting to be enchanted by the flames’ dance instead.

“...This is nice. We never really had the time to get to know each other.”

To his relief, Joe changes the topic just as quickly as he was to tease Safar. The latter says nothing for a while.

“Yeah.”

Joe was definitely an uninvited guest but Safar would be lying if he says that his presence is not comforting. And for the time being, the blizzard outside will keep them hidden from the outside world for a little while. More than enough time to forge a friendship.

And it’ll be easy as snapping your magical fingers.

The next day, the sano sibling and draken showed up at your house as usual to walk to school together with u, on the way, u noticed a guy who is need of help for finding something. U look down at your feet and found a phone.

U picked it up and hand it to that person, the guy held your hand out of gratitude for finding his phone and u were startled by it, this action alone already made mikey's face darkened, but what the guy said later is what really getting on mikey's nerves.

If draken werent there to stop him, mikey might have actually kill that person on 'accident', the guy scurried away while being deeply traumatized, even tho mikey is just a teenager, his atmosphere and strength itself already made a full grown adult break into cold sweat.

-School Lunchtime

U meet up with mikey behind the school to eat your lunch together, even a dummy could see how happy mikey is to be able to eat with u, and eat the bento U made for him. He only wants to feed u, cause this is what lovers do right? His cheeky smile just made your heart skip a beat for a few seconds, its pretty much the same day for u, but the things is, your other friends r no where to be found. U asked mikey where r the boys and he just shrugged his shoulder, u thought that they r probably busy with their school work.

It was evening when your school work was done and u headed down the path, u were expecting mikey to be there but u were instead greeted by your fav girl friends at the gate, and mikey and the boys was still not there, instead of hugging u like they usually do, emma put a blindfold on u, hinata and senju held each of your hand to make sure u dont fall, yuzuha carried your bag for u and emma lead the way to a certain place.

U r just so confuse at this point because u were totally not expecting this, u wanna know what happen and whats with the blindfold thingy.

Lmao the girls were giggling so hard that made u extra confuse but u still follow them, after 10 mins of walking, u have arrived and it what it feels like a field to u since the amount of grass u felt below your feet as u walk, emma sat u down a bench and by the time u realized it, it was already a little dark outside, infront of u was a small clif in an angle of the city down there, u were fascinated by the view and wanted to get up but yuzuha just pressed your shoulder down to let u stay on the bench.

Just when u thought the girl's intention where just to bring u here to see the view, emma suddenly said "shes here u can come out now" then a voice and multiple footsteps can be heard behind, u turned around and was facing a whole lot bushes of wild red roses and firefiles, toman was just standing there creating a large circle and mikey seems to be standing in the middle, holding what seems to be like a red rose. U stood up and walk towards him, wanting to know about the situation

Before u can even react, he was already near u and Kneeled on One knee?? U r flustered and turned your head to the right, facing the girls, who were all giggling so hard like a little child, u then turned you head to the left, looking at toman who were all happy and worked up, then u heard mikey whisper to u softly.

"hey y/n, pay attention to me.."

U turned your head back to mikey and had a face-to-face contact with his soft look, u then notice that he has his gang jacket hanging on his shoulder while he just had a simple bandage wrap around his stomach on his body. U held up one of your head to cover your mouth cause u r blushing so hard, which mikey finds it cute. He held on one of your hand started to speak loud and clear to everybody about his confession to u.

"U know, when i first met u, i thought it was blessing, from your appearance and personality, to the day i know u r the right one for me, i swear to all my life i will make u the most happiest girl ever, i promise to protect u and adore u. I've never knelt down before, you were my first. So y/n, will u be my girlfriend?"

With that saying, he hand u the rose while looking all lovesick at u, just then, toman suddenly started roaring cheering and clapping 'Get Togther! Get Together!', u lowered your head while holding onto the rose. Just as mikey thought u r gonna reject him, u said out the ans that its a dream for him to ever hear that, Especially from u.

"I'd love to be your girlfriend.."

Mikey could not believe his ears, he grabbed onto u and spin u around in circles, i dont think hes gonna stop until u told him to because u r getting a bit dizzy, everyone was cheering for the new couple and the girl friends were all just giving 'my child has grew up' vibe. Mikey hugged u tight and buried his face into your neck while whispering something into your ears.

"do u know how many times ive been dreaming of this? My dear y/n u made me so happy that u finally belong to me.."

With that aside, he placed a soft kiss on you, and man that was your first kiss! U r now covering your face with your palm, face and ears red, with mikey holding u in his arm not wanting to let go and toman's cheering kept roaring, making this night extremely memorable in your life.

i already hate this episode with every fiber of my being. (and I eat a lot of fiber.) --- Oh, nice. The fight-scene in front of the elevator has a shot from below that lets us just see the overhead vent-passage Elliot just dropped behind the guard from. --- Not a fan of the Hardison HUD. It feels like we're stretching his already god-like hacking powers a bit too far. (like he's good dont get me wrong.) --- Parker definitly stole one of the diamonds. Those are way too many diamonds for any orphans to need and she is a legitimate kleptomaniac. (Like remember the 12 step job, she legitimately needs medication y'all.) --- Ok so this is our Elliot episode (already had a Parker one with the Broken Wing) Also this is probably happening simultaniously with the previous episode with the painting. Which means its three episodes in a row with the gang split. (that is... interesting. Either a scheduling thing or foreshadowing the season ending with the gang splitting up as Nate and/or Sophie retires and/or dies) --- "you stole a michelangelo with tinfoil and a chewing gum, Figure it out!" Nice callback to the Davids.

Oh disguise the sniper in a golfbag. Nice idea, unfortunately this means Elliot gets to practice his driverswing. --- They always were illegal, and I do not like that we're going the "US government black-ops are morally right to do their shit" angle on this story. --- "Better or worse, we change together", good line. simple. 9.5/10 Oh right, Parker is a dangerous driver. Well this episode definitly didnt age badly with an entire generation of people having suffered Plague-based traumatic experiences in the inbetween. But yeah, somehow this guy has been the most dangerous person Elliot ever had to fight. Even the guy they had to blow a Looney-tunes style hole in the ground around with C4 didnt hurt Elliot this much.

Ok on to adress the 2 concerns i mentioned with this episode: The plague thing was fine, everything was contained and the thing didnt explode. If anything the real pandemic made this episode age better by giving it an escapist value. The Islamic Terrorism as a fakeout was... insensitive. I didnt like it, felt bad but not as bad as it could have been.

TLDR answer: trigun 98 -> badlands rumble -> trigun manga -> trigun stampede. going into why below. (under readmore bc this accidentally got long. again.)

ok well. common consensus is to watch the original anime (referred to as trigun 98 by much of the fandom) bc it has a slower start & lets you get to know the characters a lot more than the new anime (assisted by the 26 episodes length, as opposed to 12). it preserves the Mystery of what Vash's deal is for much longer, & is in general pretty entertaining to watch if you don't know wtf is going on. it's Legally on uh. crunchyroll? i think? tho i watched it here: https://aniwatch.to/trigun-266. just like. normal sketchy site safety, adblock is ur best friend, don't click on things. etc. if this site doesnt work for u then u could always google another.

there's a movie, Badlands Rumble, which is based off the trigun 98 canon, so probably a good place to watch it is right after that. just uh. be mindful that Vash's behavior is a Lil... obnoxious at points lol. but it's still a fun movie overall with plenty of good shit in it, so it's worth watching still. i watched it w/ a friend streaming it so i dont have a link onhand, but u could probs find it thru that same site if u search for it.

NEXT UP is my personal favorite, the manga. theres trigun original and trigun maximum, which is the direct continuation of the original (there was an issue with the publishers and licensing so upon continuing the manga w/ a different publisher, Nightow had to rebrand it. it's otherwise the same manga). i recommend this one next bc it's the most whole of story & goes deeper into things than the original anime, but it's also what the new anime is based on (aka why i recommend this one first). it can get FUCKED UP (they all can really, but trimax Especially) so probably look up a triggers list if u think u might need it. it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking good tho. genuinely owns my soul. i was a different person after reading it (not rly better or worse, mostly just more insane). there r a few translations online - an old fan translation (DO NOT TOUCH, full of horrid translations and insertions of bigotry that arent in the original), the official Dark Horse translation (an... ok translation, though it has plenty of errors and confusing translations. it's what i first read so it's Okay, but not the best), AND the trigun manga Overhaul project, which u can find on tumblr. this one's the best one bc it's lovingly translated and a LOT more accurately done. i swear things that were so confusing at first are So Clear reading this one. u can find the masterpost Here: https://trigun-manga-overhaul.tumblr.com/post/701392615591034880/trigun-ultimate-overhaul-masterpost-heres-all-the. or just go to their blog @/trigun-manga-overhaul. just trust me on this it's where U wanna read.

an offshoot of it (and what ive been reading today) is an anthology sort of manga, Trigun Multiple Bullets, which is also in that post. it was released as part of the BLR movie release, & the first part is kinda After It? but overall it's just a standalone piece with some side stories. where is this in the manga canon timeline? Who Fuckin Knows. just read it and have fun lol

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST is the most recent anime, Trigun Stampede. this is a CGI remake that aired at the start of this year & caused the trigun renaissance. now a lot of people have a knee-jerk negative reaction to hearing it's CGI, but trust me, this is basically THE BEST application of CGI in anime i've ever really seen. absolutely beautiful. fucking gorgeous. plus with really cool action sequences, and OF COURSE the music is literally one of my favorite anime soundtracks Ever. it's gotten critiques for its pacing, which can be pretty rushed, but they were trying to fit a lot more story in a lot less episodes than the original anime (again, it only has 12 episodes), so keep that in mind. it's not a remake in the traditional sense of redoing the exact same story, so there are changes in the timeline and characters from what's in the original anime or even the manga. one of the biggest things people were unhappy about is the absence of a main character, Milly, who is seemingly replaced by a random man that's not in the other versions, Roberto. Milly will be in season 2 though, as was revealed with the final episode. all in all, it's Kind Of a prequel, though also a remix/reimagining based largely off of the manga's canon over trigun 98. so long as you go into it not expecting it to be Just Like the other versions, it's a really wonderful story in and of itself. it's available on Crunchyroll, which you SHOULD watch there if u have it bc that would give them more money for a season 2 (which is in development). if ur like me tho n dont wanna pay for crunchyroll (it's Specifically a premium-only anime :p), u can watch it where i watched, aka here: https://aniwatch.to/trigun-stampede-18281.

all in all, each version has its strengths and weaknesses, but i've found the best way to go about enjoying All of them is to treat them as their own things. it can be fun to compare them, especially when it comes to things made Different plot or character-wise, but they are separate things. a lot of people who hate one or the other r coming from the angle of expecting one to be just like the other, & are then disappointed (trigun 98 being a Lot sillier at first than trigun stampede, which is a lot more serious sci-fi western in tone).

And Overall. i love them all. so i hope you do too!

Someone can have an appetite for love but never have that driving hunger to search for it, so they can only wait in the sidelines for it. Maybe appetite can ECLIPSE hunger, so you no longer have that driving desire to take but you continue because you’re RELISHING IN IT!!!!

I’m going to lovingly link this to Hannibal because I’m crazy, but when Will says “I don’t have the same appetite as you” when he’s rejecting him in season 3, I think throughout the show it reveals that he does HUNGER for that violence and the thrill of killing someone for the greater good, but after he does it he loses his appetite and he struggles to deal with himself and his hunger, he might want to keep taking deep down, but he isn’t able to (and in my head this also links to their love but I can’t say anything proudly until I rewatch it)

It’s a similar thing for Fight Club too, where the Narrator feels this HUNGER for something else which literally leads into Tyler because he’s someone who has a hunger and an appetite to cause all these horrible things, but when the Narrator is forced to face the consequences of his actions he find himself sick and disturbed by it because he never had that appetite, it was Tyler who had it (blurs a little because of the whole they’re technically a same person but I think it’s flimsy enougb to stand)

I feel like it works as a pretty good love metaphor too for very destructive relationships, like where they both are hungry for each other but they’ve lost their appetite long ago and are simply stomaching all the incompatibilities that show later because they are so hungry for that presence and the comfort that the other person offers (I’m recalling These Violent Delights by Micha Nemerever because I’m literally reading it rn :3)

In my book I’m using it as a power struggle, since Luell has this hunger and appetite for magic and how he thinks it can help people, he relishes in that control and that feeling of empowerment (mild saviour complex hehe), and when they meet, he learns that Atlas (seemingly) has a similar hunger for power, Luell wonders if Atlas will be able to stomach the changes that magic happens onto a person and is later he wants Atlas to still have an appetite for him as a person when Plot Twists are revealed (this is more haphazard because I’m still working through it but I love this analogy so much it eats at my brain and is amazing I love it)

EDIT: I just want to add that I think that having an appetite or lacking one is what makes people human, like a hunger is a need that drives a person, basic animal instinct or whateva but an appetite gives you the ability to reflect, discern, regret, which we as humans are enabled because of evolution basically constructing a society that lets people (in good situations) not be driving by their hunger and more their appetite, but that’s more of a need vs want thing, I think appetite is slightly different because it’s more of an attachment and not a counterpart to hunger, like hunger spells out some sort of inevitability that can lead you to react differently depending on your appetite

I do wonder whos idea andrea was. Because i do kind of like that now the honeybee in caters to ppl of all tastes, has men and women working there, the teacher from aeriths area was proud to get a job dancing there (which is just kind of a nice not negative depiction of wanting to work at a night club/burlesque whatever the honeybee inn is going for). And andreas like im all for expression and gender shouldnt limit that, always do what you want. Which is a nice lil message off the cuff. And hes treated just as nice and ridiculous Mini Boss as the other of the Big Three. Theres old people and young ppl who saved up to go to the honeybee in, a young man talking about hoping the honeyboy remebered him, another guy mentioning a honeygirl and the flowers he sent, no real gender or sexuality or ageist bias in the honeybee inn! Theres also just like. A generally supportive atmosphere of xustomers lf all walks unashamed to be there, which is a bit different then the All Guys clientel drooling over women and swarming aerith outside in the original

(however its missing the bath scene, the reference to an orgy and to more overt sexual acts - where the original leaned into lewd, the remake kind of downplays the honeybee inn to Dancers who do Entertainment in Private rooms but... its not risking full on indicating theyre having sex the way the original did. Which is. A loss in its own way, as theres definitely things the reality of a brothel in the slums under the plate adds to worldbuilding, to how Aerith grew up, to why Don Corneos area of the slums feels more like the risque and wild part compared to Tifas sector thats just a rather tame small town)

So like. Mm. The changes definitely Change the flavor of worldbuilding in some ways. This area feels a bit different (as in don corneos area of the slums), and the collesium also adds that different flavor. (Ive been playing tol much Yakuza lately and it like gives a more Kamurocho as Kiryu vibe now... kiryu treats host clubs of men and hostess clubs of women pretty equally, theyre for Entertainment but not brothels, kiyru and majima both do those kind of quests thatd feel equivalent to dancing or putting on a show, so like... remakes version of the honeybee in feels more like a modern host club maybe, with a city customer clientel that doesnt judge each other and sees it as The Best club. Versus original honeybee inn that felt a lot more like mainly a brothel catering to rich men, then men who could get in, with special services for customers with more niche needs like the bath or like Palmer and other particular requests. This new one, Aerith could go in and book a room with a honeyboy or honeygirl or both and ? I assume get entertained and a flirty date sort of ordeal. Yes im reading too much into this lol. Just fascinating to me the differences they made. I think Andrea was overall a positive addition, himself personally, but the changes he entailed alsl change the entire atmosphere of wallmarket into something CLASSY when the original game kind of used honeybee inn to show how Dangerous and Adult wallmarket was, how there were less rules there, and so when you get to don corneo and a sex dungeon and an Actual Dungeon and hear hes kidnapped and imprisoned girls youre less surprised cause the place has felt like and area all kinds of people could get kidnapped, sold shoddy deals, and laws arent maintaining anything only money is. With ALL of the new Big Three in wallmarket, in the remake it feels more classy more organized and more like a visit to Vegas or Kamurocho rather than a lawless Don controlled area).
