I've never played DnD before but I've been talking to some friends and they invited me so I made a character named Ishama for the new campaign they have planned.

A lot of info on her below the cut if you want :]

So im not a writer and I wrote this on an airplane at 12AM and I'd been up to catch the first flight i took the day before at 4AM... what im saying is this is probably bad so plz dont judge

Its also important that I credit the podcast DnDnD. Ishama is inspired by Martha (a side character ghost warrior that tags along the adventures in DnDnD) but im hoping my group will explore and expand this storyline and character in more depth. On that note I really recommend you "do whats fun" (thats the shows catchphrase) and check out DnDnD.

                               Information

Name-Ishama :Race- High Elf :Class- Paladin             

                              Introduction

A loyal warrior finds herself resurrected after thousands of years in slumber. Upon being awakened she learns her home has become ruins, a ghost city never to be rebuilt.

On a journey to discover what happened to her people as well as adapt to her very strange surroundings she finds herself in the company of equally strange adventures.

                              Background

Her city before her death was engaged in a long war lasting generations.

She joined the military training at a young age (14) with many of her peers and completed it at age 22.

Her mother was a solider meaning her and her little brother were left under the care of her uncle.

When she joined the military, to the approval of her mother (which she craved), she lost the approval of her uncle and in later years brother who followed after their uncle by rejecting her due to her involvement in the war.

She died at the age of 27 protecting her city (in what she later learns would be the war that would leave both cities in ruins).

In the setting of the game only little is know about the the two cities. All information is learned from fragments of "ancient" texts (its really just cheesy romance novels).

The cities have become the popular setting for literature, sayings, and old folktales, warning about the consequences of conflict without compromise.

I don't want to be that person, but Jack/The Doctor is probably one of the most underrated ships ever.

And I mean that in the sense that The Doctor regularly professes how lonely it is to be a timelord, how "humans wither and die", how they can't get too attached to them because it would only lead to pain and heartbreak. Well, guess who's immortal...

They constantly destroy themself every time something bad happens to a companion. In the fourth season, he nearly lost his mind because of it and refused to take a new companion. Well, guess who can't die...

Not to mention how deep their trust issues run and how they have problems opening up to people. Well, guess who spent a whole-ass motherfucking YEAR in an intergalactic, highly guarded prison, probably the most secure in the entire universe, to get the Doctor out. Jack didn't even spare a thought about it. He immediately ran the moment he heard she needed help.

One more thing that's a recurring concern for the Doctor is how well a new companion might accept and get used to their new face after a regeneration (think Rose at the start of s2). So far, we've seen Jack not blink an eye with three different regenerations. No. It's more than that. Jack was not only entirely unfazed, but he fell utterly and deeply in love with each and every one of them.

Also, not to mention the shared trauma from their time together on the Valiant (shared trauma wohoo). As well as the fact that Jack is smart, experienced, quick, strong, understands technology and science, overall a perfect companion to travel the stars with.

And last but not least, Jack is completely unquestionably, unequivocally, and madly IN LOVE with them. Loyalty, respect, adoration, affection, attraction, reverence, love. He feels all of it.

It all just FITS. I genuinely and wholeheartedly agree that the Doctor would have been happier if they hadn't left him at the end of s1.

i've taken a couple days to try and elaborate my thoughts on the season finale ... still, my reaction hasn't changed.

i firmly believe the acting for this season was REALLY great (especially ncuti and millie's), but the rest of it keeps feeling rushed and not cured in enough detail. plus, as good it was to have a nemesis back from 1975, it feels silly (at the least) to me that suketh has been hiding in the tardis and travelling with the doctor for SO LONG ... they've assisted to so many events and could have taken action wayyyy before to annihilate earth & co. why would they wait for the doctor to meet ruby and find out who her biological mother is? idk the explanation we've been handed in the last episode doesn't fully satisfy me. besides, i would have loved to know more about ms floods but oh well i guess i'll have to wait :) the whole last ep was like an anticlimax, to me.. i wished it had taken another direction, plot wise.

i don't know about you guys, this season felt very fresh and exciting in respect to the returning and brand new cast. at the same time, it was poorly written for some episodes and i personally don't agree with many "artistic choices".

i had VERY HIGH expectations (and i still hold them for the next season) but some of them weren't met. what about you?

it feels so odd to say but blue velvets biggest faults is that it was written by a guy in the 80s. like, i enjoyed the film, but mentally i cannot get over how Dorothy is in a bra and heels, walking around and doing stuff, in her own home. like name 1 woman on this entire planet that doesnt kick off her shoes and take off her bra after a day of (standing) at work?? like high heels. slupted bra. having a mental break down like that. i just dont believe that happened like no. 2 unrealistic.

"no, i do the hand grabbing, that's my job, it's always me". born behind the clock of big ben, accounting for her acute sense of time. story spinning fantasy weaving wild woman chasing a ladder to climb . and already a haunting, dead from the beginning, yet somehow not doomed by the narrative, not in the typical way at least

see I am very disjointed from a lot of nine/ten fandom discourse because I genuinely believe that in a different world where space boy was not to be seen, had an older Rose gone to the hospital and bumped into a certain Doctor Jones by a vending machine or as she was taking Rose’s vitals, she would have instantly hit it off with Martha. and probably flirted with her a little on accident and then on purpose when Martha flirted back
